A terrific find for breakfast, arrived before the queues started to form. Fast, efficient, friendly service of some imaginative dishes - the many healthy options are an added bonus. Definitely recommended.

We have been a few times as literally across the river to our home. Convenient location and good setting. Close to the river and Weir. Good menu all around , food, drinks, and desserts. The staff are all very patient and helpful. Indoor and outdoor seating. Food waits are acceptable as they do get busy.

Came across this lovely coffee shop on our way from Enfield Car Patk going through not town. The coffee is fantastic … such that I had to go and buy a coffee perculator in order to drink their excellent coffee. We had breakfast there (Thursday), coffee and cake on Friday and again had the same this afternoon. Great selection of cakes … and the portions are not exactly small which is great! The breakfast menu is excellent. There’s something there for everyone. If you want good coffee and something to eat be it a meal or a cake, I highly recommend The Shed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much bother …. And it’s all done with a smile 😍

In the grand scheme of sheds, this particular one is top drawer, offering ethical coffee from the DRC, an extensive menu of freshly produced food and a spacious layout.

This is my regular! Love sitting outside on a nice day, and inside is also great for the other days. Guaranteed great food, either traditional Turkish breakfasts or mains, or those excellent burgers, or English breakfast, all at very reasonable prices. Don't miss out on their excellent baklavas!

Highly recommend going here food is delicious and seems very authentic. Lots of Turkish and Greek options, with some common dishes that you'd see in British establishments. Everyone working were very pleasant. Fantastic value for money as the portions were huge. I had the salmon bites, manti and two beers which came to £25

I Popped in for a breakfast, service was quick and polite. One of the best breakfast I have had not greasy and very filling even had the choice of how u want your eggs also marmalade for your toast. Well done thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks also o ly £10

I went to Blue Moon yesterday for lunch and all I can still think about is this burger. It is very filling, the portion is generous and the flavour combination is PHENOMENAL. The French fries were pure golden crispiness and I have mopped my plate clean by the end of my meal. I will have to pop in from Bristol time to time just to have this burger again. The staff are very friendly, and I think the service was very speedy as well. I highly highly recommend this place.

I had to chill for a few hours in Taunton (as I could not reserve a cycle space on GWR). There is no better place in Taunton to park your bike, take shelter from the summer rain, have a coffee and a great breakfast or lunch bite to eat….. Great food choices, lovely coffee and great service. All in all a delightful find!!! Thanks must go to other reviewers for pointing me in the direction of the Weir cafe!

I have coffee and food every Saturday after the 5k run. Organic natural coffee... atmosphere is amazing, people behave like all know each other. Thank you for existing in French Weir park. ❤️ they have 2 toilets as well.

Came across this venue today while out for a walk in the sun gasping for a chill out with a coffee and found this hidden gem,the prices for food and coffee was very reasonable and for being in a prime position it was busy with different cliental from students to office workers to dog workers especially with the sun shinning,I sat outside on the decking after ordering inside at the till where the staff bri g it out to you nice touch saves waiting for your beverage like some places and even though busy the staff were really efficient and arrived swiftly,I noticed the tables outside all full but when someone left was immediately cleared and wiped down by the staff members which is great to see and shows this place cares for it customers as leaving I got a thankyou and bye a very nice touch even though outside sunning it and the staff busy they appreciated every customer,the food looked wonderful,il definitely return to sample their delights thankyou weir you made my stroll in the park much more pleasurable I will return

Absolutely horrendous. Food was absolutely disgusting and came out literally black and rock solid, took nearly an hour to come to the table. The service is absolutely appalling I’ve never known a restaurant to have such ignorant staff. If possible I wouldn’t even rate 1 star as it doesn’t even deserve that. My one year old had veg sticks and the carrots came with literal mud on them. Disgusting avoid at all cost

Let down by the servers. I’ve brought my family to this restaurant for years, especially for my dad’s birthday, but today’s experience was so poor it’s changed how I feel about ever coming back. From the start, service was unwelcoming and unprofessional. The two girls in plaid shirts (one in Santa hat) who dealt with us set the tone. We came 20 minutes early for our booking. They spoke in front of us about being too early and complaining as if we weren’t there. No greeting, no smile — they looked like they just didn’t want to be there. I kindly said we’re more than happy to go somewhere else to wait but they told us to wait at the bar and that we could order breakfast if we wanted to as we wait for our main table instead. No one brought us menus or checked in. By 11:40 they were still at the bar chatting and laughing with each other, ignoring us. My partner stood at the front trying to get help while one of the plaid-shirted (Santa hat) servers walked past him multiple times without stopping — again, no smile, no offer of help. When we were finally seated, the table was dirty — crumbs, salt and pepper everywhere — and the restaurant wasn’t even busy ( only had 4 people seated with foods already). I asked for it to be cleaned and one of the girls in a plaid shirt wearing a Santa hat came over. She started with looking annoyed and asked which part of the table does she need to clean. My mum politely said the whole table please. She wiped only half the table and tried to leave. When I politely asked her to finish the rest, she sighed and told us to leave the table so she could clean — even though none of us were sitting there (just a bag on the table). She reluctantly did a bit more and still left two places dirty. Still no smile. Still no care. Just quite unprofessional and rude. What really alarmed us: we then realised the BBQ sauce bottle on our table were out of date. For years we’ve trusted this place for family celebrations. After today — with some staffs showing rudeness, indifference and poor standards — I don’t feel comfortable bringing my family back to celebrate. Honestly, so disappointed during a special day for my father.

We came in for linner , the food was okay, but waiting time was a bit long considering the place was very empty, burger could have done with more than a quarter teaspoon of mayo! Cameron, our waiter was very pleasant and welcoming, he was friendly and attentive. Cameron wasn’t the problem, unfortunately the food was. #bigupcammy

We've been coming here for many years now but unfortunately it seems the service has been getting worse almost every time. This time we booked a table for a Monday evening, and waited for just over 20 minutes for our salad bowls, which isn't a problem really but when we did eventually receive them and wondered over to the salad bar most of the salad cart was empty along with no white rolls, but had brown which wasn't an issue for me but most children prefer white. They had also ran out of the small plates and all of the salad dressings too and hadn't replenished the cart in the one hour and twenty minutes we had to wait for our mains to turn up! It's a real shame as the Harvesters usually offer great service with good food and isn't silly money for all the family.

Good food let down by the servers . We had a table booked for 5pm on a Sunday night . It was steady but definitely not rush hour as there were a fair few empty tables . Our server seated us . I didn’t get her name but she had long dark hair and she did not look remotely interested. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive which we felt was a little long as the restaurant wasn’t overly busy . Once we had finished our mains we were planning on ordering desserts however after waiting for 25 minutes for someone to even clear our plates we decided against this . Our server walked past our table multiple times and could see we were waiting patiently for our plates to be cleared however she chose to instead clean the same empty table multiple times . We finally after 40 minutes of waiting managed to flag another server down for the bill. This then took another 10 minutes for her to actually bring over the card machine . The food however was very tasty so I’d recommend going to a harvester for food I just personally wouldn’t recommend this one due to the servers

Well after my poor review of 1 star only a year ago we headed back to the harvester Taunton on Monday for my wife 50th celebration. But nothing has changed and in truth it's got worse, my food in the photo was returned after we had a 45 min to get out food. On arrival the chicken was disgusting and warm and the chips where very very lucky warm disgusting all presented in a prison looking metal tin. How any one can agree that a small tin of chips and a tiny piece of chicken chicken in a roll and a few chips is worth £14.99 is beyond me complete utter rip off and exclude the salad the meals are ridiculously overpriced and you don't get quality. I can think of many other restaurants were price and quality are reasonable and great. The salad cart omg awful, food contaminateing warrare, dirty other salad bins being contaminated with salad. salad bins left fully empty not topped up or removed. I had to asked for 5 different salad bins to be topped up including the bread rolls. Food hygiene would off closed that salad cart down due to cross contamination. 2 of the salad dressing empty and dried up sauce. Why is the refills for drink such a rip off. We spent just under £80 for 4 meals and my wife halloumi was the biggest rip off I have ever witnessed £18 for a tiny small meal honestly we felt absolutely ripped off but I did not want to spoil my wife birthday meal. Harvester will be the big chain we see close down. They were so brilliant years again and now it's greed greed greed. Staff lovely can not complain

Went to spend some time in while I was waiting for my bus, so had an hour or so to kill and felt a bit hungry. Had a brunch item - pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - and it was really nice. Just enough and the bacon was crispy which is hugely important! Staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive, and the wait for food was minimal. The only thing I felt was lacking was the loo which was quite a small cubicle but I did have a big bag with me. Overall, I'd recommend it!

The staff were fantastic. Popped in at the beginning of our holiday to buy the homemade ginger marmalade but they had sold out. The lovely lady on the tills took our number to inform us if more batches would be made before we left Somerset. Lisa called Wednesday and again Friday and we had our 6 jars before we left for home. Brilliant service from an excellent farm shop. Highly recommended.

A spacious and charming farm stall with a lovely wine section. I found what might just be the world’s best doughnuts, seriously, they were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. So many flavours to choose from too. Just wow. The coffee was also top-notch. A must-stop spot if you’re in the area!

Excellent place to shop, everything is lovely. Meat counter highly recommended. I love everything really . customer service is 10 star. everyone is very nice and helpful. I have also had something to eat at the restaurant amazing and so relaxing, an outside area to eat and take away. An area for the kids to play.

Popped in after visiting Sheppys . Was hoping for a breakfast but we were too late. Toasted sandwich and tea. Toasted sandwich could have done with a couple more minutes, not all cheese was melted. Coleslaw was delicious. But we waited 15 minutes for a cheesecake! Not sure it was worth the wait! Needs more lemon!!

Always a very good breakfast, members of my family and Gluten and Dairy Free and have always been catered for amazingly well and not been made sick. My only downsides are the price can quickly add up to over £50 for breakfast especially when you add in drinks and the extras required for the Gluten Free breakfast because this is smaller even though it is the same price! You get one less of the main bits, sausage and bacon etc... so to get the same as a non-gluten free breakfast you pay per item to add it back on. Finally even though the bacon is very nice, I find the rind to be a little bit tough to cut and chew.

Always love a visit to this farm shop and cafe. We hadn't booked but got a seat very quickly. The staff were lovely and our food came out quickly. We both really enjoyed our meal and the doughnuts that we took home for later were delicious as always.

11 of us came for a birthday celebration & had such a great night!! Food was amazing, as were the staff. Jake made us feel so welcome & made sure we were happy & had everything we needed all evening. 100% recommend & will definitely be back soon 😊

Attended tonight with family to celebrate a birthday and we were looked after by Kyle. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Service from arrival to paying the bill was absolutely top notch, Kyle was super friendly, engaged with us and made us feel very welcome! An absolute credit to the team! Thank you Kyle! And thank you to the rest of the staff for a superb service and meal! Couldn’t fault anything :)

This is the second time I’ve been here. In my opinion it’s one of the better Ask restaurants. Good manager and good chefs, both times service was attentive and responsive. Last night we did the Easter egg painting experience which came with a reduction off the food bill afterwards. I’d really recommend it, my friends and I enjoyed the creative aspect and the meal was fab too. Great initiative and a good choice if you want to do something different with your mates. More please!

Myself, husband and two children have just had an extremely enjoyable experience at Ask. Our waiter Guss was superb! polite, informative and the service provided was great. Would definitely recommend.

I have, we have eaten here before, many times, but as well all know, we judge based on our last visit or from someone we know who has been recently. The greeting was good, a smile and a hello. I was out with one of my daughters, and both were hungry. Things are looking a bit tatty now, chair covers broken, cleaning not great that kind of thing. The service has always been relaxed and chilled here, but tonight, it was almost sub zero. Painful really. The food was alright. We both had the plant based chicktator burger and shared a cheesy louisianna fries. The fries seem to have got smaller and smaller portions as visits progress. It's like the whole waggon wheel thing as kids!! Have I got bigger, or has the waggon wheel got smaller? And why oh why is there so little attention to detail when it comes to making the veggy/vegan options? Looking around us, everyone else's burgers looked tall and dare I say sexy, ours looked squished and definitely not sexy, they did though, taste really nice. Put as much attention into the alternative as the main would be my point, I think. I did have a chat when paying about my observations, and the chap listened and agreed. I hope he took this to the managers? Yes, we will go back again. We like Eat the bird, and as an independent, we need to support them. Attention to detail.

Me and any partner come at least once a month to make sure we try the special. The food is unreal! And so imaginative. The new mozzarella sticks are incredible! And the new soda machine is such a great touch. The staff are always so friendly and service is so quick. We love it there

The staff is incredible and so welcoming. But the food is terrible. We left within 10 minutes of receiving the food. Didn’t finish it. The chips although’home made’ are very oily, the chicken was also oily.. the wings were cold on the outside like if they were warmed up in the microwave… the place has a lot of potential if the menu and food got a few major changes.. unfortunately won’t be back.. the staff is lovely though, would be a shame if the place had to close down.. it needs major renovation especially the toilets..

The food here was absolutely banging! Really tasty! The oreo milkshake was to die for, so creamy and not lumpy! One of the best I've tasted! Kai was a fantastic, really happy, helpful waiter. Great with the kids. Nothing was too much! Would definitely come back again soon. Thank you! X

We came for breakfast and were very impressed! Coffee was strong and the breakfast was absolutely stunning! We had the eggs Benedict and the smashed avocado with poached eggs. It came out pretty quickly but tasted fresh and it was hot. 100% recommended this café, definitely choose this one (on a street where there are loads of cafés 🤣).

Just popped in on a Sunday morning for two takeaway bacon rolls. It was very busy as yoga in the park had just finished and customers were flooding in. Thought I would have to wait ages but it was very quick. Perfect, tasty bacon rolls, will definitely be back. Service was great too!

First time trying this cafe and I can say it was delicious and very tasty indeed. I will be returning to this cafe very soon, friendly staff cafe was very clean. There is up stairs seating too which is great for when it gets busy. I would recommend to family and friends what a lovely place(:

Cafe Expresso This place was recommended to us by Taunton Leisure as a perfect little coffee shop who serve tasty coffee and home baked cakes. Well I must say, they were right. It's a well set out cafe with ample outdoor seating. Very tasty produce and very nice coffee. The prices are very reasonable and the service was amazing. It definitely ticks all the boxes for a cafe that stands out from the rest. A recommendation we'll worth following up on. Try it yourselves. Cafe espresso is a gem - lovely vibes inside - sunny seating outside - a welcoming team and super service. Delicious coffee and eggs Benedict all top drawer. We loved it.

They are fake!!!! They are salling Berry cherry smoothie - BUT IN REALITY IT IS A LITTLE BIT FOZEN FRUITS WITH A LOT OF BOTTLED APPLE JUICE, which is NOT MENTIONED AT ALL!!! The taste is on a fake apple juice! Really disappointed experience!!!!

Great little coffee shop and one of the few places open for breakfast this bank holiday. Service was quick and friendly. Coffee was great. Right strength and hot. Mushroom and cheese toastie was delicious.

This coffee shop is quite big and goes back a long way, and has a 2nd floor, so there are plenty of seating available. With two good sized toilets with a large lobby outside toilets, there is no need to budge-up when queuing It is very accessible for wheelchairs accesable . Children are welcome in this cafe, as well as assistance dogs.

It is now one of my most favourite coffee shops, especially since they have opened up more space and having wifi on offer. There is a great selection of coffees available (different roasts and flavours). mY favourite drink is either the Minty Mocha or Minty Hot Chocolate!!

Went there for the first time with my future daughter-in-law for a snack. She chose a panini with tomato, pesto and mozzarella in it. I had a large tea cake served with 4 pats of butter. Both were warmed up. Both had tap water for a drink. Arrived at the coffee shop, ordered the food and gave us a wooden spoon in a glass bottle for order id no. Went and sat down and bought the food over to us.

Lovely traditional tearoom in a beautiful location in Bath Place. Just off the high street but in a lovely spot in a quaint part of town. Great food and friendly service. I will be back for breakfast soon!

Good tea shop, with a good menu, simple but with good range of options. Food arrived quickly and portion size and quality of food was good. Our family of 4, stopped for a quick lunch on our way through Taunton and would recommend.

Please try this lovely home from home cafe, you won’t regret it! The owner and staff are lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating to what you need and they are soo good with my little boy too 🥹. The food is delicious and a nice variety of items including a specials board. I have taken a few friends and my mum here and they have all revisited. I can’t recommend this cafe enough and will certainly be back for more xx

If in Taunton town centre you really should give this independent cafe a visit. The food & cakes are all homemade, the service is fantastic. It really Is a well run little gem that thrives as part of the local community.

This wasn’t my first time at Corner Club, and I decided to visit for brunch with my cousins. The café is very aesthetically pleasing, and I always enjoy coming here. It can get quite busy on weekends, and the queue can be a bit uncomfortable with the cold weather and open doors. We went for the salmon bagels and the veggie stack, which were both pleasant, but the highlight was definitely the Nutella iced latte—it was amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The best place for brunch in Somerset. I visit as often as I can and the quality of the food clever disappoints. The kids always ask to come here for a treat. Not downside is not being able to book meaning waiting outside for 45mins until a table is available at busy times

The prices are good, it's competitive with the local restaurants. The food was very tasty, initially I was a little worried about the sizes of their servings but in the end, it was very filling. The drinks are overpriced, there's no two ways about it. I did ask if I could bring drinks from outside, to which they hesitantly agreed. The seating is a little limited, but a lot of it is due to the demand. The restaurant is lively and full of people. The inside is relatively cool, I still sweat a little.

Amazing place for breakfast/brunch/lunch! The food is beautiful and most importantly tastes incredible! The waffles and pancakes are my favorites but I could honestly eat anything on the menu and enjoy it! Only downside is you can't book so worth planning to go at a quieter time to avoid waiting. Love that it's dog friendly too, we sat in the outside area and the staff instantly offered to bring a water bowl out for us which was very much appreciated!

Been here many times and I always want to come back. The food is amazing and prices are good. The staff are always lovely, and it doesnt take long for your food to be ready. The place itself is beautiful and makes you feel so welcomed when there. This will alwasy be my yo to food place.

Food was so delicious, staff were friendly. I would say for some of the items on the menu, it would be easier to have bigger plates so you can actually cut it up and enjoy all the delicious food more, rather than trying to carefully cut it, without it all falling off the plate! I had the chicken and waffles for reference. I think also the drinks menu is a bit vague, a short description for each drink would be helpful as we ordered a 'Blueberry Bliss' but didn't expect it to come with coconut as I'm not super clued up on drinks, it really would aid someone not so sure on drink ingredients. Will return again for sure!

If you’re after proper coffee in Taunton, look no further. The Coffee Station serves Brazier coffee that’s smooth, rich, and packed with flavour – easily the best in town. Their handmade cakes are a dream – the kind you tell yourself you’ll just have one slice of, but somehow another appears on your plate. Service is always spot on: friendly, quick, and with that personal touch that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. A gem of a spot – I almost don’t want to share it so it stays my secret!

Lovely little cafe in the park, which we happened upon whilst out for a walk on a visit to Taunton. The selection of home baked cakes looked incredible, we persuaded ourselves - easily done - to cut our walk short and stop for a large piece of tiffin cake, a latte, and a herbal tea.... delicious and served with a smile. The board says they do smoothies and lots of other hot and cold drinks as well as savoury snacks but had none left by the time we got there this afternoon.... just going to have to go back tomorrow to try some more 😋

Went there for the first time today as the gates to Vivary Park were locked all round except for a gate by the Coffee Station Cafe. Went inside for a hot chocolate and cake. I had a flapjack and my husband had hot crumpets and butter. Small inside and snug. You can sit outside under cover but was cold. We sat on one side of the table and another couple on the other side. Would recommend a visit.

Coffee was okay, ordered a caramel latte. Have serious doubts weather any caramel was actually in it. Also was served in a cappuccino mug which is just poor presentation. Service was quite poor. What do you want. Brought it down. Nothing else. You’d expect some level of customer service at an independent coffee shop. Lovely cafe tho very nice inside. The staff member seemed shocked when we didn’t leave a tip, however I don’t know what they expect when their service is nothing more than just taking and order and bringing the food. Would have expected an “enjoy” or something along those lines.

Love this place. Fourth year in a row it’s been my stop after two thirds of a bike ride. Normally arrive exhausted and ready to give up, but the tea and especially the cakes/pastries are delicious and reviving. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic service and excellent food and coffee served. Mark and his lovely team are always friendly and helpful and whether you’re in a hurry or simply want to sit in and relax you’ll love the calm and relaxed atmosphere Shoreditch White offers. Keep up the great work!!!!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Mark and everyone at Shoreditch White for the lovely lunch spread we ordered with them today. We had a mix of meaty and veggie sandwiches and wraps, mini quiches, sausage rolls, cheese board, fruit, salady bits and dip, as well as cakes, flapjacks and brownies - beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed at a leaving lunch for a brilliant team member, it really helped give her a special send off! A second thank you to Mark for his assistance loading our lunch order into a moving vehicle when there were no spaces available to stop on a busy day in Taunton :)

What a little gem off the high street to escape the winter weather. Excellent coffee, and delicious food well presented and portioned. The mulled apple juice is inspired and perfect to warm the mind and soul.

Parked and paid parking at 14.40 to use UPS service and get takeaway as both Shoreditch and UPS website says open until 3pm, but closed with no apology note.

If you enjoy listening to next door's nightclub music far into the night, then this is the place for you! If however you believe that a hotel's primary purpose is to be a place of rest and relaxation, I recommend you keep looking. Else I can't cite any complaints though, so perhaps we were just unlucky on this particular night.

Lovely clean and bright dining area. Reception staff need training on how to great guests. "Sit over there and wait" is not the best. "If you would like to take a seat, someone will be with you shortly" would of been nicer. What can I say about the afternoon tea. The food was nice but very much over priced. £27.50 per person. 6 finger sandwiches, 2 scones & 6 miniature cakes. Now this was for 2 people. Absolutely extortionate. No option to upload a photo. DONT DO IT GOES TO MILES AROUND THE CORNER CHEAPER AND BETTER

We had brunch here after a dress fitting ! Service was fab! Food was reasonably priced, had the chicken club - may want to consider swapping to a normal mayo, the onion one was overpowering. Chips were delicious perfectly size fluffy and crisp !!

Excellent location right on the centre of town. Parking at front and beautiful surrounding grounds. Restaurant food is top quality and breakfast too. Clean and spacious rooms with period features. Would definitely stay again

We arranged an afternoon tea in the Wisteria room for a 90th birthday party. The room was the perfect size for 14 with the sun shining in we had a fabulous afternoon. The afternoon tea was very 👍 All the staff are extremely helpful and in Particular 'Ryan' was so helpful he helped make the day better. Thank-you.

Very disappointing stay. The price at almost doubled the standard room rate locally gave us exceeded expectations. We could not have been more ripped off.. The hotel even charges its guest for parking! Tired, not really clean rooms with basic facilities and cheap in room hospitality offerings. Breakfast was nothing to rave about, all a bit under whelming. Great building and location but need to find something better in Taunton!

Disappointing expensive stay in the heart of Taunton. A wonderful historic building from which all character has been successfully removed from the rooms inside. Once in the bedroom you might as well be in a travelodge. All corporate with no style. Breakfast was a disappointing experience. The full English cooked options all being kept warm for far too long on a buffet, leading to leathery bacon and rubbery sausages. To top it all the hotel charges guests for parking in their own car park.

Well done to this little simple cafe in the heart of taunton prices very affordable and a lovely place to read or discuss books or both! Recommend the warm cheese scones.

Delicious paninis and wonderful staff.

The staff were very nice and helpful but wasn’t impressed with the food. I had the eggs Benedict, wasn’t much taste with the sauce and the eggs were very hard. I was expecting a runny yolk, but it was overcooked, so was quite disappointed. I also had a slice of carrot cake but it wasn’t nearly as nice as I expected. I have eaten here a few times and never had a bad experience but this time wasn’t great. Overall very disappointed.

Wonderful place for food, and also coffee is lush! The staff are all so friendly, and the food was delicious. We sat out on the terrace in the sun which was lovely! I’d definitely recommend ☺️👌🏼

BTP make a better oat milk latte than starbucks and Costa put together! Lovely clean environment (I often find Starbucks lacking- no matter the location). Great welcome and service. Nice and cool indoors on a hot day too - but we sat outside with our dog.

I went to a café with my friends. The café was pet-friendly, and we sat upstairs very comfortably. The food was also varied and delicious. After a certain time, the upstairs area was closed, but the staff didn’t come to us to say, “It’s closed, you must leave.” Instead, they were polite and let us stay without disturbing us. I really liked this kind approach.

Had an amazing brunch ...smoked salmon hash . I can highly recommend this dish . Full of flavour well put together looked amazing . Staff were very welcoming friendly and attentive . Surroundings clean and comfortable. Well worth a visit Carys and Aidan are an asset to the team .

Great place for brunch. Good value - £30 for two people. Staff are very friendly and helpful, though they often seem to be understaffed. Easy to order on phones via QR code - photos of each dish, calorific and allergen information, easy adjustments. Ordered food and coffee, and both came very quickly. I had scrambled eggs, avocado, and salmon on sourdough, which tasted lovely. It's not my first visit, and I will definitely visit again.

Popped into The Stables for a weekday lunch. Service was prompt and friendly and a reasonable menu choice. We ordered two sandwiches with salad. The sandwiches were great including a gluten free option but the salad was poor - just leaves (with a light dressing) which were not particularly fresh with many having gone a bit slimy (and obviously so). Overall, disappointing and expensive for what is was.

Went for a roast, which I'm glad I did. Seen it being served so wanted to try it. Was not disappointed it was perfect, plenty of food as portion size was good. Great service. Thank you

Very pleasant experience, the gardens are majestic and the paths are good for little ones to explore. Definitely worth a visit if looking for a mellow but thoroughly day out. Very reasonably priced also with children under 5 free.

Just rudeness. - they don’t publish their last service hours so today we arrived before close but it was after last service so we couldn’t be served. - the last service hours on the Hestercombe website are incorrect - someone not in uniform, maybe a manager, informed us not to rely on that website as the restaurant is nothing to do with Hestercombe. How would we know that? This person said there was a phone. Yes indeed. I had tried to call and to check their social media the FB ‘about’ page had no hours on at all. Their website says they close at 4.30pm but not that you have to be there by 4pm. I said we had tried to call but no one answered, to which there was a shrug like gesture and “We’ve been busy”. This person’s attitude was entirely unapologetic, unbothered and frankly rude. We were there to mark our three late fathers on Fathers Day and my late mother’s birthday which fell on the same day. We had tried to get the information and followed the information we did find. I found this person’s attitude very unfortunate, and I frankly wouldn’t want to support somewhere that thinks that that is decent customer service. All that was needed was “we’re sorry, and we’ll look to getting clear information up asap”.

Fabulous lovely little local café. I was so pleased to have found Daisy's after visiting the Quantock hills. Welcoming excellent service, and brilliant homemade food. I had the soup with wonderful croutons and a cream tea. Everything was outstanding and clearly done with lots of care. Thank you!

We had a wonderful breakfast experience in this cafe last week. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and best of all... the food was exceptional!!! I ordered the vegetarian cooked breakfast, and it was all perfect. It was a large portion, and cooked perfectly. The veggie sausages and halloumi were delicious. We will definitely be going back very soon to enjoy another breakfast or lunch with family and friends. I thoroughly recommend this cafe!

Worth going out of your way for! Cakes fresh baked. Best brownie ever! Tastes like chocolate clouds, perfectly crunchy yet fluffy. Gorgeously chocolatey. Bakewell tart came with homemade jam + cream and was warm! Coffee decent too

Went for Father's day. Recently refurbished in a style that complements it's location as a quaint typical village tea room.Great food, freshly ground coffee,tea and deserts in a wonderful setting in the village centre.Plenty of special such as salted caramel latte with cream.Coffee and Walnut Cake to die for. Friendly staff service and great quality.Covid compliant. A must on the stop through to Minehead or if cycling or walking through the village.Also supports local charities through sales of selected locally produced crafts. Top Top 1 Book ahead as is very popular with the village. Top Tip 2 Get there 10 minutes before to find a parking space.

I just a latte, while it may look normal I absolutely hated the taste. The very bitter taste of coffee is felt, now I don't don't know if it's because I've asked for a coffee 1 hr prior to closing time but I would not come here again :). I don't blame anyone for this maybe it was bad beans? I don't know but I've had enough coffees to tell it shouldn't taste like this.

Cafe Nero in Taunton is located in a very old building. The sign says 1578. Nice latte, which was free on the reward scheme.

Our favourite coffee location in Taunton. Ony issues ever faced is the clientel sat outside. Can't really go into details, but you know what I mean. Service inside is great, and the girls do a fantastic job considering they are always short staffed.

Popped in for a coffee whilst on holiday. Really old building, lovely character. I am disabled, use a walking stick, but wasn't offered to bring drinks over to table. Toilets are up 2 flights of stairs. Not disabled friendly.

We visited on Mon 7th April. It looked as if the café was short staffed, the upstairs seats were closed off, which was no problem to us. The seats we wanted to use were dirty thinking that I was helping I asked for a brush to give them a clean, a woman did give them a wipe off, I finished it off before I sat down! I ordered two coffees, a hazelnut latte and a cappuccino. I asked if I could have sprinkles on my cappuccino, the same member of staff who had wiped my chair served me. She snapped at me saying I'd ordered two latte's, she took my mug away, made me a cappuccino and didn't speak to me throughout. The staff in all the other Nero's I've ever been in are always so pleasant and chatty, so this was something of a shock! I sat down with my coffee but was only able to drink half of it because it was too sweet; my cappuccino hadn't been made in a clean mug, she had tipped away the hazelnut latte and made my coffee in the same mug, a load of syrup was still in it! Very disappointed ☹️

Helpful staff and friendly service..clean restaurant area in stunning building…lots of historic references to the Judge known as the hanging Judge Jeffries …plenty of comfortable seating with charging points for lap tops / phones (assuming you have your own cable of course)…toilets on upper floor … very pleasant background music - good quality coffee and enjoyable pastries

Loved this cafe, food is excellent price is really good and the staff are happy and polite. Also spotless. Can't praise it enough. Ash the manager is also very friendly and proud of his staff. All of them deserve a pat on the back. So nice to find each an excellent place to relax with a coffee and cake or to have breakfast or lunch. You can't fault this place.

Was in Taunton for a week with work, usually I am in Frome where we have sadly lost all our proper non-modern cafe's like this. I had several lunches here this week and was utterly mindblown at the value for money for REAL food. Good job to all, friendly, honest and filling!

Great Cafe food. Really tasty and my meal arrived in under fifteen minutes and was piping hot. Large variety of food on the menu. Very generous portions and excellent value. Staff very friendly. The atmosphere is good with much chatter and laughing. This place doesn’t pretend to be anything other than it is! I would come again!

Lovely veggie breakfast until I found a very long hair. Could not finish my breakfast, almost vomited. Owner joked “We might as well shut down” I suggested they could take precautions in food prep’…hair net?

Lovely clean and cosy cafe, great and knowledgeable staff when it comes to allergies, knew exactly what was in their products. A majority of their menu can be adjusted to suit a gluten free need. Fry up was awesome, only the sausages had to be subsituted for extra bacon and the bacon was lovely! All gluten free food is prepared separately. Prices were exceptionally good, can't wait to come back and try again! Thank you

Found this little independent cafe by chance. Great place for a gluten free bacon sandwich and a decaf soya or oat milk latte! It also has regular full English breakfast ( not so much gf) but options available. Very rustic, half a dozen inside tables and chairs, takeaway available. It has a nice warm local feel to it. Staff very helpful. Good prices .Would definitely recommend for a no fuss breakfast, tea or coffee stop.

The ladies working there were so lovely, had a train to catch and they made my sandwich quick for take away, it was friday so they had a spiced steak special sandwich which i ordered with the lot. Unbelievably tasty, this is a must hit spot for sandwich lovers visiting taunton. 🤝

My partner and I went for breakfast yesterday morning, we both had been previously but not since it has been taken over. The food? Locally bought, tasty, and a good portion size for myself. The service? Friendly, inviting, chatty owners. Atmosphere? The open doors for the summer, outdoor and indoor seating available all just came together to make a lovely breakfast date with my partner. Will likely be revisiting again.

Really nice delicatessen/coffee shop with a great range of chutneys and cheese (including Cornish Yarg!), plus seating if you want to stay for a sandwich and a coffee, which we did. Highly recommend.

We loved this cafe. Really great menu, delicious deli food & very generous portions. The tables were set apart upstairs with windows open so we felt really happy to eat inside. They were so friendly and the quality of food is really high. Definitely recommended.

Nice little deli close to the bridge over the river. Downstairs is a shop with a good stock of artisan foods and drink, some local and some from further afield. Upstairs there is a small restaurant where you can order from their fixed menu. There is a good selection of sandwiches, baguettes quiches and hot food options. My only gripe is that the chairs could be more comfortable! Definitely worth a visit for lunch or a snack!

We really like the Olive Tree, my only reason for four stars is that they've often run out of the things we order, but we think that's because we get there too late! The food is fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a try, a brilliant selection and lots of veggie options.

Very cold upstairs. Asked if any of the cakes were Vegan, unfortunately they weren't due to the kitchen making them in the past and being unable to sell them. Asked if the margarine was Vegan for the tea cake, unfortunately it wasn't due to plant based spread being much more expensive than animal based spread. Oat milk available for a charge. There are a few savoury Vegan options on the menu.

Always find the staff cheerful and friendly, they make the best sandwiches in town, using their own bread; devon ham cheddar chutney, tuna pesto tomato or brie & cranberry are my faves! Great deli selection here too, especially olives, which are streets apart from the regular supermarket brands. Always something a little out of the ordinary to find in here and a great little old school corner store.

Sandwiches & Panini were reasonably priced The service was terrible !! it wasn’t busy We initially ordered a child’s jacket potato, a cheese & pickle sandwich & 3 drinks we waited far too long for the food to appear. The jacket potato was microwaved , the sandwich was fresh & quite full. The 2 panini’s we ordered afterwards took a long time to appear also..

Just went here about 15 minutes ago through the drive through. Was served on the speaker by a lovely girl who was extremely polite and joyful. And then to top it off, we were served by a man who had such an uplifting spirit (I heard the name Darren but I’m not sure if this is correct!) his positivity was infectious and I have left with my fab breakfast in a great mood. These guys are a credit to the Taunton store! Sorry I didn’t catch your guys’ names but thanks for making mine and my partners morning! ☺️🙏🏼 Hope you guys get all of the credit you deserve!

A medium-sized Costa next to The Range and a few other shops. There’s also a drive-thru for those who enjoy coffee but don’t have time to sit down and drink it. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

Food and drink service great! But tables needed clearing and wiping hence 4*. Had a lovey oat milk dairy free hot chocolate! With cream and option of marshmallows too!

There is a good seating area inside with large windows that provide good lighting. There is also outside seating with large umbrellas to protect from the sun. I had a Biscoff cheesecake which was solid enough to eat with a fork - I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take a photo!

Went there for a bite to eat. Had a panini with a large hot chocolate. Not too busy. Left dog in car. Reasonable prices. Can have a drink in cafe or use the drive through. We had ours in the cafe.

So many combinations and extras on the breakfast menu and all freshly cooked to order. Additional space and toilets upstairs. The friendly staff help contribute to the good vibes here. This cafe is very popular so be prepared to wait at peak times.

Always come here with my partner when we go into Taunton, they do a great cooked breakfast and the staff are always really lovely and polite! They are very catering to my gluten and dairy free girlfriend. Will continue to keep coming back!

We’ve passed this cafe many times but never ventured in until today. We have 2 double breakfasts with a large latte and a tea. Both drinks were very generous and the breakfast although it took a little while it was definitely worth the wait and again piping hot so was cooked to order which I like! Good quality sausages and bacon, real butter on the toast - prefect! Tables were squeaky clean and the girls was very attentive. I think there were 3 girls working and it was lovely to hear their laughter, they obviously really enjoy their work. We’ll be in again for sure!

This is a very quaint little cafe situated on the high street. Staff were very friendly. Sign of good cafe was that it was very busy. Good selection of meals and drinks and all at reasonable prices. Myself and wife ordered the all day breakfast and service was pretty quick. Food was cooked to a good standard and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will visit again next time in town.

we were upstairs as a group of people. we probably made more noise than others (sorry). it was a nice place for us. the food and drinks are fine, not surprising but the price is fair. so, no complaints.

Not a bad little cafe and we would come back again I suppose if we had enough time on our hands. Service was friendly and not deserving of a complaint, however it was incredibly slow. Side note - How many Cafe Culture employees does it take to make a messy hot chocolate? Not sure but if there are 3 it'll take them a long while. We received a very messy hot chocolate and were told that that is actually how it's meant to look - Pic attached. Not sure which culture of cafe they practice but Perhaps they're wrong in this instance.

We visited Bumbles as part of an afternoon tea package bought for us as a Christmas package. Beautifully presented spread with sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, and fresh cream cakes. Even catered specifically for a vegan. Staff were fantastic also and couldn't be more accommodating. Will be back 😋🍰☕

I believe this place is under new management. I found the staff super friendly. The cafe has been updated, really nice atmosphere and the menu looks fab. I only had a coffee on this visit but the meals being brought out looked freaking delicious! I will be back to sample it! Definitely worth a visit!

This cafe is amazing. My husband is gluten free. We went shopping in Taunton and thought we would have a sandwich lunch out. We went to two different cafe one been M and S and they did not have gluten free. M and S said they did but only a rollwith soup you could not have it any other way. ??? we went to Bumbles and you could choice a gluten free sandwich. And my goodness what a lovely sandwich with trimmings .

It was a fantastic place to have tea and coffee. We loved it so much. we forgot to book one day ahead, but they welcomed us. The service was wonderful and the tea pot was never empty. The cakes, pastries and sandwiches were wonderful. will defiantly be going back. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Good Costa’ much cleaner than other outlets of the same’ service was good on Sunday morning and the coffees very nicely presented. Sat upstairs which was very warm but it was a beautiful day, away from the windows it was cooler. I would recommend a visit, tables outside too is a good option.

Standard Costa food and drink menu. I used to be loyal to Costa but began to find the my coffee of choice less enjoyable (flat white, or a mocha) However I tried a hot black americano today and enjoyed it a lot, so on this basis it’s back in my good books. Very nice building, particularly the spacious and bright upstairs seating area with nice position overlooking the main street. I personally don’t like the vibe of the downstairs. And the upstairs is usually blocked some time ahead of closing - so coming for elevenses is my preference

First time of visiting this particular Costa. The place was a mess with dirty full trays on 90% of the tables and filthy toilets. The attitude/friendliness of the staff was pretty awful too. The younger of the girls was doing her best(credit to her) but the other woman had the "don't wanna be here" attitude We'll try the other Costa next time

Always call in here when on holiday. Usually pretty good but not the last time. I am disabled and use a walking stick. Lovely sunny dry day so decided to have a tea outside. Went in to order, quiet with just a hand full of customers. Plenty of staff on. They put the drinks on a tray which of course I couldn't hold, seeing that I have only 1 hand free, and they watched me go back and fo outside without even a hint of any help. I also get breathless so you can imagine by the time I took out the cup & saucer then the milk and then the teapot I could hardly breath. WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE GOING BACK There unless they get more training done and realise not everyone is able bodied 😢

As a regular customer i am appauled by how an employee called ‘Michaela’ had spoken to me. when i politely asked for napkins, she completely ignored me, when i said ‘sorry excuse me’ i got the ignorant response of ‘yes okay i heard you the first time’. I have never encountered such a rude and dismissal interaction at costa. The boy was lovely, however it was visibly clear that the others in the que felt awkward too.

We hosted a friend’s baby shower, from start to finish the service was fantastic. Communication via email and phone was dealt with professionally and quickly. Nothing was too much staff are very friendly, food was great. All round success! We will be back!

Beautiful place, music was very loud though. I have no clue why it wasn't busy yesterday evening when my partner and I visited. We had lovely meals which were made quickly and tasted great.

We walked in hungry and hopeful—how naive we were. After what seemed like a week or more, the server greeted us with the kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for tax audits. With innocent optimism, we ordered from a paper menu that looked like it had been printed using nothing but regret. Minutes later, the waitress—who had the air of someone trapped in their own documentary—returned and said, “Sorry, we don’t have those ingredients.” We pivoted and asked for an alternative. Eventually, the food arrived, carried out with the same enthusiasm someone might reserve for taking out the bins. The sandwiches looked like they had been assembled during a power cut by someone using their elbows. Stale bread, confused fillings, and the general appearance of something that had been dropped, reassembled, and quietly apologized to. The salad? A sparse collection of greenery that had the charisma of an old flat tyre. If a salad could sigh, this one would’ve. By the end, we weren’t even annoyed—we were just impressed by the sheer commitment to mediocrity. It’s almost avant-garde. A restaurant that boldly says: “What if we didn’t actually serve food, and no one cared?” Would I go back? Only if I’m writing a book called “How to Lose Faith in Sandwiches.” One star, awarded solely for the existential clarity I gained.

The staff are really young and inexperienced so it's all a bit chaotic. They forgot our food order at first but made up for it with a free pint. Food was not the best quality, pizza was supermarket level. Really empty on a workday evening.

A very nice gastro pub, it's a nice space and environment. There's a good selection of pub foods and beers, although the drinks are a little expensive. They do a 15% discount for stagecoach travellers. It's in a great location for bus travellers and the castle green is gorgeous in the summer.

The food is OK, its a little over priced for the quality, but when you consider the pizza is large enough to feed two and the other portions are a good size it all adds up to be OK. The atmosphere is that of a night time drinking venue that settles for a restaurant during the day, its neither fun, romantic or interesting. As for service the people here are present but I wouldn't say friendly and there was a lot of stuff they couldn't provide for one reason or another.

Calm environment, wasn't too busy around 5pm on a Thursday. Brilliant service throughout, friendly & inviting staff. Excellent deal 2for1 on burgers. Meal was cooked to perfection, Kudos to the chef!

I was in at 11 today Saturday 29th and there was 3 members of staff just stood doing nothing but you could hear another out the back working. And saw one staff member sat on a work service. This is not good enough. This is the Taunton tesco

Visited as staying nearby and needed a coffee and a sandwich. Friendly young lady Alison served us, she apologised for the service as they were having staff problems. But it wasn't a problem, we ordered 2 medium lattes, a cheese and onion toastie and a NY Deli Foccacia, both sandwiches were tasty and we njoyed them. Afterwards did a quick shop, a friendly assistant helped me out to find an item i was looking for. Great service. :)

I asked for a cup of tea to take away and a bacon roll. Well, it took the lady 5 minutes just to process it on the till. The tea came quickly, and the bacon roll didn't. Bacon roll: the bacon was cold! The roll was stale, and there was so much spread in there that it overpowered the bacon. I did ask for no spread, so I can't eat my roll. The dogs had my breakfast. Well, I will not be returning anytime soon if that's how they treat their customers.

I had went in to grab some lunch and the red head behind the counter seemed like she couldn't wait for me to look at the menu. Sying when I was only looking at the menu for less than a minute. I gave her my order - I asked her for avocado smash on toast with a fried egg and feta cheese extra, she charged me £7.50. they brought me over what I asked for but brown sauce added all over my healthy choice of food. I asked for refund as it's not what I asked for to eat and she kicked off saying thats what It came with? I didn't feel like I was listened at all. Just be careful.

I have recently started frequenting Taunton Tescos Cafe with my Autistic son, I felt compelled to write a review because honestly the food is really good here! For a cheap and cheerful cafe the food is lovely and freshly cooked by a very young but brilliant team. They always have a smile on their faces and seem to work together very well 🙂

Dreadful waited over 45 minutes for our food while priority was given to food delivery collections, we had to extend the 90 minute parking for our coffee! I had an appointment to get to, dreadful stressful experience I wont be repeating. We had a breakfast and half of it was cold because it wasnt all cooked at the same time.

Lovely atmosphere and right under the cricket ground stands, this is perfect for a quiet drink on non matchdays with a good selection of breakfast choices or light lunches if you don't want to eat a lot. Thatcher's cider on draft is another bonus. Also shows the cricket when matches are on!

Worst breakfast and service I’ve ever had. Ordered two breakfasts and the order got mixed up and rather than fix their mistake we were made to scrape the food onto the correct plates. Half the food was stone cold and we paid for fizzy refills only to find the machine was out of order and got told to just take a bottle out the fridge?! What about the price difference?! Never coming back

Over the last 6 months I have visited the cafe at Taunton, and every single time, ( approx 6-8 times ) no breakfasts available, today 15/01/25 there was no food at all available at 13:30, absolutely shocking. Never experienced anything close to this bad before.

Filthy tables, all coffee machines out of order, cake stale, sandwich filling spread so thin it was like eating bread, I was told they aren't doing hot food but I could have some stuff from breakfast... Pretty sure they are supposed to do food all day? Toilets had no soap, avoid for sure!

Quite possibly the worst place to eat in Taunton. Ordered the pie and mash. Mash was cold. The pie was literally partly frozen!! Picture is of the new returned pie, doesn’t it look appetising… Chap that served the food was very polite and I felt pretty sorry for him.

First time ordering and was very surprised at the lack of quality for £17. I didn’t pay delivery which would bring the order closer to £20 for 2 items as I had a offer but £17 for 1 meal and 1 side for completely soggy chips that were over cooked and cold, 2 burnt cold hash browns and toasted egg muffin that wasnt even toasted, completely cold, missing the egg, with 1 piece of unmelted cold rubbery cheese is abysmal, for £6 , food was delivered in some tin foil not even in a bag. Considering I’m only across the road it shouldn’t be so cold, soggy and juices leaking from the food out the packaging to cross the road. This is really poor.

This is a 4 star review of the cafe. Visited again today and the service was very good, more importantly the cappuccinos were very good. Well made and good coffee used. Not the cheap, harsh-burnt flavour in many outlets that don’t specialise in coffee predominately. I’ve yet to eat here so only 4 stars atm. Could easily be a 5. Lots of room for patrons and close to the toilets on the same floor. Three different team members engaged today and all were very pleasant. Was offered a loyalty option by way of a qr code but didn’t take the option today. I have the app so it may be an option if I was to visit regularly. Very much recommended and will try to eat next time.

Marks & Spencer in Taunton is a reliable place to shop for good quality clothes for men. Their selection is classic, well made, and feels durable, making it a great choice if you want something that lasts. The staff are friendly and helpful, creating a pleasant shopping experience without being pushy. The store itself is well laid out, so it is easy to find what you need. Their food section is convenient, but I find the meat selection a bit underwhelming for the price. The portions of steak are small for the markup, and you can often find better value elsewhere. Other than that, their clothes remain a dependable choice and make this store worth visiting.

The store is great but I am surprised that as a store it has no chairs available for an older person or person with limited ability to sit. I wanted my mother to come to the changing rooms to be able to view what I was buying and there are no seats available. I was told there is seating in the footwear department but again this is too low for people with limited ability. Even in the cafe there are no chairs with arms to help people stand. I would be interested to see the M and S Diversity and inclusion policy.

We popped by here briefly so that my father could check on their selection of men's sandals. These were on the 1st floor so he went up there whilst I remained with my wheelchair bound mother downstairs. He managed to find what he wanted which was good. It's been a while since I've been in an M&S. This one was bright, modern and comfortable. All good.

I had an amazing experience at store and thanks to the outstanding customer service provided by Joyce . Finding the right bra size can sometimes be challenging, but she was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire process.

I have to say that the coffee was wonderful (Columbian blend) and so was the lady that served us. At least M&S still allows its customers to have full fat milk. Some other companies like Pret and now Sainsbury's do not. I am avoiding those places now.

Just left this location and everything was filthy. Tables not wiped. Chairs dirty and floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Cups and teapot were stained. Not a pleasant experience.

Don't appreciate lying staff. I ordered an Oat Milk Latte. The lady making the coffees today at c. 12pm then asked the server what has been ordered, to which the server replied Oat Milk Latte. Then when the coffee was ready, she said shouted 'Oat Milk Latte' and I collected. It wasn't what I ordered. When taken back was told it was ordered as a cappuccino. 'Oat Milk Latte' was stated three times so the outright lie was not appreciated, when she could have just apologised for her mistake.

A great little community cafe. A small group of us dropped in for a drink & light refreshments. Plenty of options available, all home cooked, and reasonably priced. The volunteer staff were lovely and the service was great. Only a few seats inside so we sat outside in an area with a roof & perspex sides that protected us from the breeze. We'll definitely drop in again if we're in the area.

What a lovely coffee shop! The prices are fantastic and the cake was delicious! So often we find ourselves buying tea and cake and being so disappointed and ripped off. This was above and beyond anywhere we have visited in the area

This is a great community cafe with lovely food and a dog friendly out door area with free doggie treats! If you are in the area and you are hungry this the place to go. Very clean toilets on site and if you want a new book to read you can get it here.

What a wonderful community run coffee shop this is. Great service, lovely coffee and cakes at fantastic prices. If you are anywhere near North Curry, this is a must visit. We visited as a cycling club on a Sunday ride and they have us a warm welcome andwere happy to cater for our need to all pay separately. Brilliant little coffee shop.

A small lovely community café that provides light snacks, good beverages, great homemade cakes and local craft work. The staff, all volunteers, are very pleasant. Prices are excellent, so leave a generous tip/donation to help their good causes. I am not local but bring my wife here from her carehome when I visit and the staff are very accommodating and understanding.

Stopped off here for a coffee before our swim. It's was really busy, even so the service was quick, great and the best value around. It's always a nostalgic visit for me, having come here as a kid with my parents, I love that it still looks the same. If it ain't broke!

Absolutely wonderful cafe. Been coming here a lot over the last couple of months. Its nice to see staff and owners interact with their customers and be so attentive. There was 10 of us and the meals were impeccable and delicious. Not one mistake and the homemade chilli was a delight. Would have no hesitation in coming back and good value as well. The meal sizes are perfect. Wonderful to have a play area to keep children occupied whilst adults can drink a nice cup of coffee or tea in peace. Very kid friendly and also allows dogs in designated areas. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

Had another lovely meal in our favourite place to eat when having a shopping trip in Taunton. Great staff, prices and a nice varied meal menu. We both had some really nice panini's and drinks. It's a little bit off the high street at the beginning/end of a shopping arcade but definitely worth a visit.

This is directed to the staff that work on the Thursday disco event. Some of the staffs attitude towards people with learning difficulties is unacceptable i myself have witnessed first hand bad mannerisms towards someone I support over looking and picking up some books one women said " dont let her mess them all up and that she cant buy that many" ( were talking 5 books max she picked up) even went on to say that she can't touch the toys/ baby clothes this is someone who is a paying customer who has serve learning disability who should feel included at this event, some serious training needs to be in place on how they speak to people would given them 0 stars if I could wouldn't recommend.

Booked a sensory room slot for my 5 month old, and wasn’t informed that they would be hosting a music activity at the same time. My daughter was really struggling with the loud music and noise, so I requested a refund or rebooking because we had only been in the room for a few minutes. The woman on the reception was fairly rude, and wasn’t very helpful. I understand it’s a multi-use space, and there will be clashing with events, but as a sensory room, I would expect it to be a calm place. I don’t appreciate the way my concerns were dismissed. I will not book with compass again, as I am now aware that it is a company focused more on profit than the clients they claim to help access a safe space. My advice for anyone wanting to book a slot for any of their rooms would be to call before you book and ask what events they have going, so you don’t waste money.

Compass Wellbeing: A Day of Delight, Laughter, and Fun Was lovely to have my family visit Compass Wellbeing yesterday The highlight for little Ernie was undoubtedly the sensory room. He was absolutely in his element there, utterly captivated and free to explore. It was pure joy (and quite hilarious!) watching him channel his inner rockstar, screaming with glee to see how high the lights would go in response to his exuberance. It's truly a testament to a space that encourages such joyful exploration for children. While Ernie was busy with the lights, his mum found her own little slice of heaven – a beanbag so comfortable, she's practically plotting its escape! It speaks volumes about the thought put into creating a truly relaxing and welcoming environment for everyone, even the adults who just want a moment of blissful comfort. No fun-filled day is complete without good food, and Compass Wellbeing delivered here too. Lunch was a real treat; we all thoroughly enjoyed a hearty full English, which was perfectly prepared and hit the spot perfectly. It was the ideal fuel for all the excitement! One of the unexpected bonuses was how well both Ernie and Shane behaved throughout the day. It’s always a win when the kids are settled and happy, and the relaxed, engaging atmosphere at Compass Wellbeing seemed to bring out their best manners. Ernie, in particular, was a little champion at the table, behaving like a proper gentleman. Overall, the visit to Compass Wellbeing was a resounding success . If you're looking for a place to create memories, enjoy some quality family time, and share plenty of laughs, I wholeheartedly recommend Compass Wellbeing. You won't be disappointed!

This place is facilitated by compass disability services. However the manager of the compass disability cafe will not support parents or customers with children who have learning problems. So do not come here if your child is in any way disruptive or if you have to manage 2 small children at once, as they will go to great efforts to make you feel uncomfortable and force you to leave. Absolutely awful attitude towards customers and they act completely against their own values. And on response to their comments below, all I can say on the matter is this organisation is delusional. They run a stay and play group for toddlers expecting perfect behaviour and good manners from children who are not able to communicate due underlying disabilities. So I would suggest reflecting on the fact that you are running a stay and play TODDLER group at a disability centre and not Eton college boarding school! And toddlers behaving disruptively is a NORMAL part of development and not a reason to scrapegoat a parent. And on a separate note, allowing a dirty buggy to be pushed through a children's play area is NOT appropriate and unhygienic and allowing that is disrespectful towards all the other customers. You should call yourselves The Compass Superiority Complex centre. 😆

I work for a company that supports vulnerable adults with learning difficulties and autism and I have to say the staff in this place are rude, horrible and disrespectful. I would not recommend them to anybody. The manager and the staff need to have additional training as clearly they havent had any. I'd give 0 stars but that isn't an option unfortunately.

A nice local business alternative to the mainstream chains of coffee houses. We arrived at about 11am and a lot of the cake choices were already gone, which was a shame. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The hot chocolate was a little disappointing with not much flavour, but the coffee was good. It's got a nice environment with better music than a lot of places, which often you feel like you might be sitting listening to lift music. No doubt we will be back in again.

After a long time living away from Taunton but visiting frequently I’ve been waiting for the coffee scene to catch up and this crew have hit the nail on the head. Really pleased to have walked by and noticed it, lovely staff, great space, great coffee. Food looked lush. Go support.

We called in yesterday (a Tuesday afternoon) as it looked inviting and the bagels sounded interesting. It's also dog friendly and we had our 7 month old Labradoodle with us so it was ideal. We had the '915 Club' and the 'Chicken 'n Bacon Jam' bagels. So nice, though I could easily have eaten another of the delicious 915s, but that's just my appetite! The cappuccinos we also ordered were some of the best coffees we've had. Fantastic. We'd definitely recommend seeking this place out in Taunton.

Sadly one of the most disappointing vegi breakfast I've ever had. Mushroom and sausage was barely warmed and certainly not cooked. The fake bacon was more chewy than my old shoes. Hash browns and baked beans fine.

AVOID!!!! Without a doubt the worst breakfast I've had in a services!! Ordered 2 full English with toast, firstly only got charged for 1 full English and 2 cans. So then paid for the second separately, not a problem. Order came, when I asked where the toast was, she "forgot to order the toast, it wasn't even busy, she didn't seem to know what she was doing. So sat down to eat our food, beans were luke warm, egg was so covered in cooking oil it was inedible! Bacon was smoked bacon, I didn't notice if it was advertised as smoked bacon on the board, but I really dislike smoked bacon so was not able to eat it and gave it my daughter. The only saving grace was the sausages, they were nice. Was also a bit concerned to see that one of the people preparing the food had either fake nails or acrylics, blue with a white tip. Food hygene standards state no nail varnish or false nails can be worn while preparing food

Had a bagel here was about as fresh as the rotting carcass on the side of the m5. My friend now needs dentures due to stale overcooked bagel. All seemed processed and I would have been more healthy going the McDonald’s next door.

The microwave operative destroyed the mushy peas, the curry sauce was watery, the chips were cold and the tail end of a fish frazzled with no batter! Training the staff might help.

Fresh? I think not. I ordered the Breakfast Brunch. The chips and egg were fresh enough but the sausage, bacon, mushroom and beans had obviously been kept warm for many hours, if not days. The sausage had formed a hard shell which made it uneatable. The bacon was like a piece of cardboard. The beans had been stewing for so long they were starting to break down into a mush. These are cheap ingredients - throw them away after two hours.

Absolutely disgraceful place. Asked if a salad was Gluten and dairy free and was told they have no idea even though they were standing below as sign saying please ask about allergies. Was told the chef didn’t know and there was no manager. Then asked if they had Jacket potatoes ready and was told yes so ordered. 5 min later was told they would be 30 min as not ready. Staff have absolutely no idea. The positive point is that they are happy to admit they have no idea.

Fabulous coffee - in another league compared to anything I have tasted before! A real pick me up in such challenging times to receive this lovely coffee promptly through the post this morning. Beautiful packaging with its own wax seal on each packet of coffee. Incredibly generous and friendly owners. Just made me feel special and a valued customer. So refreshing in every sense! Will definitely be ordering some more and will explore their other coffee types. Thank you.

Very knowledgeable about the coffee they serve, and great to be able to have a chat with the roasters them selves! Definitely worth a pop in for a look at the roaster too if you're a coffee geek. On par with London's coffee scene

One of those great examples of a local company that really cares about both it's products and it's customers. Friendly knowledgeable service buying from the stall at the Taunton independent market in the past and now had the same good experience ordering online. If you are reading this thinking about trying Immix then you will be in for a treat once you try their products for yourself.

Great atmosphere! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We picked up some banoffee banana bread and it was delicious, best I’ve ever had! We will definitely be coming back again to try out some of the hot food next time (and some dessert!)

I cannot recommend piccolo enough! Me & my mum visited for brunch today & we both were extremely pleased with our visit, we ordered the Avocado & eggs on toast and the Halloumi & avocado on gluten free toast! The food was amazing, avocado was fresh & halloumi cooked to perfection! Great place if you have food allergies as the staff are so clued up & make sure you are a priority! The staff are super friendly & the owner Imogen is amazing at what she does! Coffee was perfect too! We were so impressed and will definitely be returning! Defo worth a visit if you’re in the area!
