We were touring Speyer and wanted to eat at a place we had tried before with great goulash soup, but it was unfortunately being remodeled. So we decided to try to first open place we found which was Aran cafe. What a great surprise! It is much larger inside than you would imagine, and on a Sunday afternoon, was completely packed with locals enjoying warm beverages and dessert. We decided to try the Baileys late and some dessert as well. I opted for the tiramisu and my wife for a slice of apple walnut cake. We had breakfast here when we arrived Speyer. Very good quality food, bread and kuchens. Cant Help, i had to Bring some to Go because i cant eat them all there. The best location too, right in the domplatz very close to the Speyer Cathedral. They have Al fresco and so relaxing especially on a sunny day.

So, that leaves ice cream which is perfect anytime. They did not have a very large selection, but they did have some great ones. We enjoyed it a lot. I ordered a two scoop cup of chocolate chip mint and stracciatella. My wife ordered the chocolate and coffee combo. Delicious!

Came from the United States for vacation in Germany. My boyfriend took me here as he says the restaurants always have a special seasonal menu and cook with fresh ingredients! For appetizer we ordered the spring salad with quiche and a special almond(?) dipping sauce. I loved the salad...very fresh and the sauce goes so well with the quiche! I ordered a dish with liver dumpling, wurst, and sauerkraut. This meal comes with a side of bread. The gravy goes so well with the food and the liver dumpling was out of this world! My boyfriend got a burger with potato fries. The meat was so juicy and good! I gotta say the food was amazing! And I had a good time here, I will definitely come here again when I visit! ❤
