The dragonfruit sorbet was great, but the gelati left something to be desired. It didn't have the creaminess I expect from gelato and the flavors were just a little bit off. It's very good, but not great. The staff was wonderful and the place is nice though. I'm almost sad to not be giving them five stars.

This place just didn’t do anything for me. I love Gelato/Ice Cream. Recently came back from Italy, where we didn’t have a bad gelato. But after trying 6 different flavors here, I didn’t like any of them. We ate my wife’s one and even left that. True the flavors are very unique, pretty salty. Just not my taste. Service was excellent

Great gelato! We enjoyed the clotted cream and dulce de leche + peanut, and the naranja agria/berries + guanabana. The little room off to the side has AC if you're looking to escape the heat a little bit.

Overall a very nice stop on a hot day, one of the few places that doesn’t have the music so loud you have to scream at the person sitting next to you.

Fantastic and quirky flavours and friendly staff! The strawberry, cranberry and red wine ice cream is one of the best I’ve ever had. We’d had to come here twice so we could try as many flavours as we can. Would highly recommended.

Yum. Delicious handcrafted gelato. Great little shop with a cute air conditioned indoor seating area for the hot days, with a tidy washroom too…or steps away from a really nice park (which we chose as a the shady spot to enjoy our ice cream). Easy to miss this little gem as signage is not the greatest, worth searching for it though ;)

Several locations just along 5th Avenida you can choose from if one location is too loud or crowded. This is probably the most spacious in terms of seating options out n the patio. Victor was our waiter and was very attentive. He provided fast service. Mocha and chai were tasty. The mocha has a nice, balanced ratio between cocoa and espresso. Desserts tasted a bit older though, it had cold, stale fridge taste and flavor.

Best chocolate iced coffee frappe I've ever had! They had agave straws and were super nice. They also have free samples. We ended up also getting the chocolate covered coffee beans from the freezer. So good! They have free wifi, lots of outlets if you need do some work as well

A friend and I went inside to order a couple frappes. The drinks are very good with strawberry, banana and mango. I was showing my friend the coffee which I previously purchased and we were politely told to take dogs outside which we did. While enjoying our drinks my friends dog likes to sit on her lap as she is very small. Someone then came up to us and said dogs are not allowed to sit on your lap here. Confusing as other customers allowed to have feet on chairs which is not sanitary. Won’t be returning.

This chocolate cafe is pure bliss! Their mocha frappe with chocolate chunks, chocolate and cinnamon coffee (W😋Wza), and cookies were absolutely delicious! When you visit 5th street in Playa Del Carmen, add Ah Cacao to your ‘Go To’ list for dessert/coffee! Their staff (especially Gildardo Torres) is SUPER friendly and welcoming! 6/5 🌟’s!

Love the concept but the execution isn't good. There are chocolate-themed spots like this in other towns that are great; this is like a corporate rip-off with no soul and no skill. I tried a "chocolate" with almond milk, a chocolate chip cookie, and a panque de chocolate con nuezes. None of them were good. The worst was the panque (muffin) which was weirdly flavorless and seemed it was made with lots of very cheap oil. Considering the high prices it's really not worth it.

Nice place to have calm breakfast. Order the croissant definitely will ask for more ham and cheese next time. Natural orange juice. Delicious hot chocolate, been craving it since I first had it! Service was decent.

We had hot chocolate with the seasonal pan de muerto, both Excelente! They free chocolate samples and got to try several chocolates. The service is friendly and quick. They have plenty of non dairy options for most drinks.

Delicious coffee but the food was average. I had eggs Florentine which uses chaya instead if spinach. It was okay but the feta cheese lacked flavor. My wife had Hobo eggs and those were good. Park in adjacent lot and bring parking ticket to get it stamped for half off

Very creative with the interior and the menu. Very good place for such a small town akumal. Good for vegetarian options too. Veg tacos could have been better.

The food is good. The drinks are great. The price is a little bit high but it's on the beach and less than other places. The key lime cheesecake and banana split are fantastic! The flat bread pizzas are worth it.

Eccentric and attractive little restaurant in Akumal. We stopped here first for dessert and had some great ice cream and then later came back for some amazing breakfast. The eggs Benedict was fantastic and the agua frescas are definitely a must grab

One of the best restaurants in Akumal. They are consistent and make a delicious sourdough flatbread pizza. They are definitely worth the money.

What a charming spot! We came here for my son’s birthday dinner as the menu has plenty of desserts listed. Our party tried the steak frites, enchiladas, salmon, and coconut shrimp. Everything was very tasty! We really loved the drinks as well, the pina colada was made to be flavorful but not overly sweet (my favorite). The best part was the service. Our server was so sweet to my son for his birthday! His favorite part was when they brought out the “tequila boom boom” birthday shot (which was sprite and cranberry juice) and had him take his “first shot” - he’s still talking about it days later. They also turned the fans off for the birthday candles and then immediately back on to keep us cool, just every thoughtful and kind. We had the chocolate toffee cake and then went back another day for the keylime cheesecake. Both delicious. The chocolate cake was a bit rich for me, but everyone else at the table loved it!

Food is great, atmosphere is wonderful, great place to watch sports. They can get anything there! Ruby is the best as well! Amazing service from her every time I go there!

1st time here, and what a welcome treat to cool you off. Beautiful flavors and amazing vibe. It was not too expensive and a wonderful treat. I had the corn sorbet, and others had the watermelon sorbet. Can't wait to go back.

If you like fruit sorbets which are the perfect level of sweetness, this place is for you. We went back twice and had to try all of the flavours.

I really don't understand how is that in Merida where the income is quite low an waterbased 🍨,could cost almost 8 usd per scoop. whoever is familiar with a Concrete in the Midwest (USA) could have an idea of what to compare with. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place anymore. NOTE, is not about the price is more about the cost-beneffit os this product. Not worth it.

The place was excellent. The location was great. We loved the ice cream and the sorbets . The coconut ice cream was Divine. The mantecada shake was amazing. The place is well decorated and the service was also excellent. The entertainment was fine. I am glad that I tried it . I loved it I would totally recommend it. I don't know why is the 4.5 it should be a 5.0.I really recommend it. It was a good recommendation.

Very charming atmosphere where they take a self serving approach for coffee and also clearing your own table. This is a casual atmosphere tucked away on a side street. The owner is from France and he is very nice. The pastries are decent and the other dishes we tried are average as well. The price is affordable. There are better places on the island if you are looking for a full breakfast, but this is a nice place to grab a coffee and pastry. The fresh squeezed orange juice was probably the most impressive item on the menu. We also tried the salmon bagel with cream cheese, which was very mediocre. The omelette was also a regular omelette without anything noteworthy to write about (overcooked and too much oil), unfortunately this took about 30 minutes to deliver and much later than all of the other dishes. I would definitely recommend going with low expectations with the intention of grabbing a take away coffee and a pastry. I would agree with other reviews that don’t understand why everyone is rating this place with 5-stars. I would recommend going to Painopol instead! It is great there.

What a lovely café! Went there for breakfast and had one cuernito, chcolatin and a Rol de Carnela ( that was my favourite 😍) the owner is a very friendly French guy who lives here since 15 years and making all the pastries by HIMSELF!!! Really excellent taste, you have to try!

Outstanding, I mean it's the best place to have breakfast in Holbox hands down. It's a beautiful place, carefully decorated and I liked that it's very spacious. The food is great and the bread is handmade everyday so it will blow your mind. The owner is very friendly and he can help you out pick something. It's definitely a must in Holbox.

What a lovely place! The owner is so kind and talented. It’s spacious, yummy, and there’s a play area for kids too :) he makes everything himself and it’s all delicious. Really good pastries, sandwiches, mochi smoothies, and coffee ❤️ It was pleasantly quiet whereas other places often play loud music. There was music playing but it wasn’t bothersome. There is also a beautiful garden wrapped around the building (hence le jardin) and we saw some butterflies! You seat yourself and place your order at the counter when you’re ready with your table number. There’s menus hanging up in several languages and you bus your dishes at the end and sort your trash into inorganic and organic waste 👍

SO GOOD WE WENT TWICE IN 3 DAYS. Our favorite breakfast on the island! Croissants were some of the best we’ve had. Also enjoyed iced cappuccinos, fresh squeeze orange juice and green juice.

Very french, baked goods are ok. I had a banana nutella muffin and a veggie omelette. Their betabel juice is delicious. It’s self-service, they have reusable straws :) just a bit disappointed because it wasn’t a “jardin”, just a palapa.

So happy to leave a review for this gem. The chocolates are not only stellar in flavor, but they are all dairy-free, made with coconut milk because they wanted to use local products. Great for all our lactose intolerant and vegan friends! Most (about a dozen flavors) are also gluten-free, with just 3 flavors or the 15 or so flavors with gluten in them. Plus their rustic Mexican drinking chocolate is great! Very kind women both, and they speak fluent Spanish and English. Highly recommend for great local-made chocolate.

The absolute best! Stopped by this gem on our cruise port stop. Mindblowingly delicious vegan/dairy free and gluten free chocolate options. The shop keepers were so kind and knowledgeable. I wanted to buy everything and left very happy with my truffles and Mexican sipping chocolate. This place made my day! You won’t regret stopping here.

Delicious gem in Cozumel! These chocolates are very high quality and the flavors are delicate and unique. I wasn't able to stay and savor my treats this time, but they packaged up my purchase very well and it made it all the way back home safely in January. Note that these chocolates are plant-based/vegan, so no cream or butter. Some ganaches have a mild coconut flavor because of this. I was worried about the chocolates tasting like sunscreen, but they did a good job of balancing that flavor so it complimented the natural chocolate without overwhelming it. (I think removing the dairy also extends the shelf life of the chocolates without refrigeration, but I am not sure there.) In my rush to return to my ship, I completely forgot to buy their drinking chocolate mix, which was wonderful! Next time I find myself near Cozumel, I will definitely stop by for more.

Exceptional, handmade, artisanal, the real deal. Offering truffles, bars, nibs from sweet to less sweet, most truffle options are gluten free with the exception of 2 flavors. The owners are delighted.

This is a very addictive little shop hidden away from tourist Centro hosted by the very charming Cicillia. Walk to wall freshly made on site chocolate delights including liquid center candies, cocoa & giant chocolate chip cookies. The prices are little high but pure Mexican chocolate isn’t cheap. If you really want it, you’ll buy it; I did. Recommend.

Amazing range, taste and hand made genius from bean to bar. Unlike other places and chocolate tours, this place actually grinds its own beans and makes chocolate from scratch... true chocolatiers! I'm not usually that much of a chocolate lover but this place has changed my mind and everyone walked out happy, with quite a few boxes and big smiles on their faces. There's something for every taste bud, truffles, a great range of fillings and all of the milk, dark and white chocolate you can eat.

Really enjoyed the high quality chocolate found here. Some unique flavors that you may not find anywhere else. You can tell the owners care about the product. The chocolates we picked up paired perfect with our red wine later in the day. Highly recommend finding this place in your journeys.

Charming says it best for the location and atmosphere. Very comfortable to sit and relax and indulge. My husband and I had Hot Chocolate, one was Dark Chocolate and a Chocolate Tamale, oh my goodness it was so so good! I can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu. This is a must do in Campeche and right on 59th Street.

What a great place to enjoy a nice evening! This location has a colonial - modern twist. Great great great location. The drinks we had were very refreshing the ambience was perfect and the gift shop is perfect! Mariana was an excellent host.

I ended going here with a friend. The atmosphere and drink were excellent. The service and management were not good. The reason being. I ordered a hot drink. The server bought me a frappe. I check with my friend about the order and he confirmed what I had said (he would have told me if I was wrong too). Since the drink was already made I asked the waiter if he could give a discount since he said they would charge him if I changed my order. He went to the manager and they said 10% off the wrong ordered drink. I only accepted because I was with a friend and did not want to make a big deal about the mistake. To be honest, everyone makes mistakes. I wanted to see how and if they would do better and they failed. There is a cost to making a product or providing a service, that is understandable. When you make a mistake you should own responsibility and I feel like this was not the case with the management or server. Bad service. I left it open to them to decide and believed it should have been 50% off the drink but honestly since I did not order it they could have just taken it back. I did not make a big issue but yes, they deserve 1 star for this bad decision making and mistake. My friend said a frappe and crape were too sweet. The drink they mistakenly gave me was good but I likely would have enjoyed the drink I ordered more.

nothing was majorly wrong. the staff doesn’t really speak english. the coffees were really good, however the frappe was mostly ice and the sorbets had quite a lot of ice also. but the juice was marvellous!!

Perfect atmosphere and lovely staff. I had the iced chile chocolate and an almond milk cappuccino (believe both were vegan friendly as the chile drink is made with water) and both were absolutely delicious. The inside was air conditioned which was a welcome reprieve from the hot day, and I migrated outside when it cooled off. It’s giving secret garden. Beautiful spot. They also sell chocolate and coffee, among other small gifts - a nice touch.

Mayra, Sara, & Ana were so amazing and helpful. Also the ice cream is delicious!! All the gelatos are to die for and they have the iconic bubble ice cream.

The ice cream is yummy, I like to get the bubble waffle. They took time to create my dessert with care and good presentation. It's a bit pricey but I like the quality of the experience. Staff is friendly.

BUBBLE WAFFLE CONES!! OH MY! We went to over priced Hagen Daaz the first day, mediocre service for way overpriced ice cream. Aldo's is delicious and good size servings. Our grandkids ordered one of the bubble waffle specials and wow! They wanted them for breakfast and dessert every day. They make the waffles when you order, so they are always fresh. Like most Italian Gelato, They have true to taste ingredients. There are at least 3 of these on 5th Ave...treat yourself!

Unbelievable gelato. Top quality stuff here! When I saw the price, one of two things had to be true: 1) The gelato was authentic and delicious 2) I was getting scammed I'm sure based on other reviews you've seen, I was not scammed. This gelato was worth every penny! I've taken a gelato making class in the past where I learned how important it is to maintain gelato at the correct temperature to maintain its consistency.. They do it right here at Jessie Gelato! Friendly staff, amazing flavours and generous scoop sizes! I would definitely come back here again! P.S. - the surrounding area is beautiful for a walk!

This is BY FAR... the BEST gelato we've ever had. All made fresh every day. So silk, smooth and tasty!!! The owner was there and told us how everything is made fresh. The employees were so very nice and had us taste a few gelato before making our selections. I had THE best vanilla gelato. My brother had the mint one and also his BEST ever. Do not go to Puerto Aventuras without going to Jessie Gelato!! A MUST DO.

The concierge at our hotel recommended Jessie Gelato to us, describing the hurricane procedures sign outside (Evac Plan: Grab a Gelato and Run like hell). We were so excited to find it and blown away at how delicious the gelato was. It is the best gelato I've had in a long time, if not ever. We tried two different flavors and they were equally great.

Jessie's Gelato is always a good place to stop by if you are visiting Puerto Aventuras. Plus they are in the Marina area so you can just get a Gelato, sit down on a bench and watch the dolphins do their thing.

Fantastic ice cream. Came back the next night because we were so amazed by the unique coffee flavour ice cream that we needed to come back to have it again. Pistachio was so good too and didn’t have that artificial taste to it.

Flavors are natural not over powered with sugar flavors. A must try. We had; Maracuya tastes like the fruit. Lemon pie is delicious and refreshing. Coffee tastes like a latte 😋.

Delicious ice cream. Plenty of flavours - I went for a scoop of guava and a scoops of chili chocolate. Did not disappoint. Very nice for an evening stroll along the strip, or you can sit in one of the chairs just outside.

I decided to visit after seeing numerous ads on Instagram. The café itself had a cozy atmosphere and was quite crowded. I waited in line to place my order, reviewed the menu, and chose a mocha frappé — since their specialty is cocoa-based drinks — along with a ham and cheese croissant. After paying, the cashier politely offered me a membership and took the time to explain its benefits. I declined, mainly because there were many people waiting behind me. I went upstairs to find a seat and waited for my order to arrive. The ham and cheese croissant was toasted but slightly soggy, with an overly buttery taste that I did not enjoy. The mocha frappé, despite being one of their signature items, was far from extraordinary — a drink I believe could easily be replicated at any café, without the “specialty” label, and at a lower price. What left the worst impression was being asked if I wanted to “add service,” essentially prompting for a tip, much like in a sit-down restaurant. For me, this speaks very poorly of the establishment. Personally, I would not return under any circumstance.

Mexican Chocolate Shop is different and interesting. Chocolate Tamale specially is a unique experience. Their Cafe Americano Frappe was light and refreshing on a warm day but still energizing. The Brownies were OK. Overall good experience and a must visit place in Cancun Hotel Zone.

Ah Cacao is one of the best coffees that I have ever had! I loved their mochas so much that I actually walked 4 miles every day from my hotel to get one. The quality of the chocolate and coffee beans they use is outstanding! Once you have had Ah Cacao, it will be difficult to drink Starbucks again. They also put art on their drinks, and I loved receiving coffees with panda bears, flowers, and heart shapes. I definitely look forward to returning to Ah Cacao the next time I am in Cancun!

Having just finished dinner we decided to stop by Ah Cacao for some after dinner sweets and drinks. The store had a warm cozy atmosphere with cacao products displayed all around. The staff were incredibly friendly and able to answer any questions we had regarding thier products. The deserts and drinks were delish, though the cacao used has some very prominent fruity notes to it which we weren't expecting. Still, this was a fantastic little place and I definitely recommend giving it a shot.

This is by far the best Chocolate store you can find in the area, tons of flavors, sizes and prices , is a lovely place to have a Coffee (the taste is unbelievable) I will pick the brownie as the best dessert. I recommend to come here in the afternoon (weather and sunset)

The Starbucks of Mexico as it is colloquially known! They have some great chocolate that they will give you free samples of. Also, their Mayan drinking chocolate is not to be missed. The coffee is also way better than Starbucks in my opinion, but their specialty is definitely all around chocolate.

Waitresses were super nice and helpful. The place was crowded and I only had to wait for 10’ to have my food so that was excellent. It also has a Caribbean vibe that makes it unique. Food was one of a kind, super tasty and generous.

Such a wonderful place for breakfast/brunch. We went there everyday during our stay in Playa del Carmen and enjoyed every meal and drinks we had there. Amazing coconut water and kombucha. The decor made you feel like you were in a jungle and the staff was also very friendly.

First of all the service is priority! Luis was the best and he cared deeply on making sure everyone was well served. Luis went above and beyond to meet our expectations. We breakfast there regularly and the food was marvelous. I had egg white omelet with chaya and ham. The coffee was the best. I can't wait to visit again. Thank you Luis for the wonderful Gesture.

Cute place away from the craziness of 5th. Good food with vegetarian options. Croissant chicken sandwich was good, crispy not soggy like some can be. Overall good place to enjoy breakfast/lunch.

Superb brunch spot! Menu options all sound so good and no doubt everything tastes as good as it looks! Quick and friendly service, nice little vibe and aesthetically pretty. We’ve come back each day for breakfast on our vacay - highly recommend! The hibiscus kombucha is delicious, wish we had more time to try more things!

We took a breakfast deal with American pancakes with a side of salad. The portions of both were incredibly small. The pancakes didn't taste good at all and the salad was also two lettuce leaves with a bad sauce. I ordered watermelon juice which was nice and a hot chocolate milk (with oat milk) that came cold (with ice) and with little chunks in the milk. They forgot to bring us the salad. The waiter also checked his phone while we ordered. Plus he spoke really quick and didn't really listen to us. He was elsewhere mentally. That was rude.

Food presentation was good. Service was amazing. The food itself was okay. The pancakes taste like premade mini waffles. Very disappointed. The watermelon juice, chocolate croissant, cappuccino, bacon & eggs were good.

I loved it here. It’s right off a main strip where you can see people walking up and down. I ordered a waffle with strawberries and gelato and enjoyed it. The place was nice and neat. I stopped by around 10pm on Tuesday night and found it quite relaxing.

Great spot right on the main street! Outdoor seating only. Food is well presented but I can’t give it five stars. We got Salmon on baguette and a Bowl with poached eggs. Eggs were hardboiled, not poached, and everything kinda lacked flavor. We’ve been waiting for food for about 30 minutes! Another thing that is kinda bothersome is that sellers from the street come to your table and try to sell their stuff. I understand that it’s a busy street and I wish I could help all the locals make their living but it is rather annoying when you are eating, there should be some kind of policy or at least a sign about soliciting. Overall it’s a cute place, their menu is great, coffees are really good, staff is friendly, and it’s also a gelato spot!

Desserts are delicious and the staff is friendly. It's a good place to enjoy a cup of coffee and have a good conversation with someone. In my opinion, they should improve some of their cold coffee drinks. They also offer a variety of ice cream, I didn't try it but it looked really tasty🤭

This place has delicious Belgian waffles with really good gelato. We ordered the coffee flavor gelato and it tastes very smooth, full of coffee and not too sweet. The croissant sandwich was also delicious. However, they take a while to make the food. It took around half an hour before we got our food, but it was worth it. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

I can’t get over how much I love this place. I come here every day. Great vibe. Amazing food. Lovely well trained staff who are always smiling. I wish this cafe was back home in Vancouver and they’d have a customer for life.

Last week, I went to the Belgian Waffle Boutique- It’s a comfortable restaurant. It amazed me. The food was delicious, and I order a dish: the green chilaquiles. I really liked it. The Belgian Waffle Boutique is a wonderful restaurant to hang out with your family.

Love the food and nice coffee too. Good portions and friendly service overall great value for money.

Decently good waffles, beautiful place and outdoor sitting place. Friendly people. Nobody here is from Belgium or speaks Dutch though. Taste of the waffles are far from what we're used to, but still good!

Good Wafles and Creppes We went for a dessert and we had a Nutela Wafle and a Nutela Crepe and both were very good. They claim to use Nutela but I honestly doubt that they use Nutela (they use something very like Nutela but more liquid and with different flavor). If you're a Nutela Pro Taster you're gonna hate it, if not you're going to enjoy it anyway. The place is crowded for breakfast, so be patient. It's a very good casual place to drink a coffee and a have a very good Dessert. The price is average for Cancun area.

This is by far the best Gelato/ Ice Cream I ever had! You should definitely try this place out! I am from Germany and I also traveled to Italy a lot. This Ice Cream is even better than all places in Italy that I have tried before! I highly recommend the Pistachio Ice Cream! 🔥☀️

It is always a good when not only tourists eat at a restaurant but when locals flood the place every night. The flavors are authentic and taste natural at Aventura Gelato. The price is right and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It also in a great location right on the marina where the dolphins swim. Moses and the tribe recommend this gelato when in Puerto Aventuras.

I've ordered from them for delivery 3 times. Most recently today. I always order the bacon quiche. 2 outta of the 3 times I've ordered the quiche had been ice cold, as it is today. They literally just threw it in the bag, no salad(which usually comes with it. Super disappointing and I won't be eating from here anymore.

All we had for breakfast was delicious and it reminded us the good pastries in France. Excellent quality of the products they offer without being overpriced (Similar price like in France) Friendly staff, polite and well attended. We also got to talk to the owner who is nice and explained us all the story about the bakery. If you are a French and you miss the pastries and all the French food I highly recommend you to get there and enjoy it.

Definitely a great local place in PlayaCar, I had the Mex eggs and a very fresh croissant! Staff was polite, spoke excellent English if you need it, highly recommend!

Worth visiting but the downfall of this place is that not every bakery item is good. We tried about 10 different items and only really liked about half of them. Would recommend the chocolate cake and croissants. Most of the tarts looked better than they tasted. Also the iced latte was not the best

Photo Speaks for Itself. Place Sucks.... Be Careful when you order a Baguette with Cheese because this is how they try to Scam you. The tortas in downtown are 10 times Better and 3 times cheaper. Never Again 👎🏻 Oh did I mention the Orange Juice lt. costs 90 pesos just because they can charge it. Outside in any normal place costs 30 pesos. Do not throw your money on the trash.

This bakery on the corner is absolutely worth checking out. Press on, continue walking down the 5th Avenue from all the promoters, ignore them. This corner is a little quieter. This cafe has amazing coffee and pastries, and the delicious breakfast. If you’re tired of eating the same boring hotel breakfasts, have it at Labrioche, you won’t be disappointed.

I was surprised how fast the delivery came and how good the food was! Very tasty croissants and breakfast. I recommend giving them a try at this location. It’s above average and better than most here.

I'm a local and a semi regular and have recommended La Brioche on 38th street to many people. I'm a fan. Generally the service is attentive and friendly. Any place can have an off day, but today was bizarrely bad. The wait service was awful. Almost non existent. And they were not at all busy. I had chilaquiles con pollo and two cappuccinos. The chilaquiles con salsa roja were tasty enough but dry. Not much salsa. Asked for a lemon tort (they have dreamy lemon torts) for dessert. Waitress said she would check with the kitchen and let me know if they had any. She never came back. After waiting around 20 minutes I realized the tort was not happening so asked for the check. Check arrived with a line item charge for the missing lemon tort. I explained it had never been brought to my table and asked that it be removed from my bill. This was done but took another long wait for the corrected bill to arrive. Asked for a toothpick before leaving. Another long wait and nothing. Finally I got the waitress's attention and asked again about the toothpick. She apologized for forgetting. She then disappeared for another few minutes only to finally return to say, "Sorry, we don't have toothpicks." It was one waitress in particular who forgot to bring the tort and forgot about the toothpick. The other two were not attentive but seemed sweet and friendly. They seemed a bit dominated and intimidated by the repeatedly forgetful one. I suspect there was disagreement or quarreling among the wait staff as to who was in charge of my table. Seemed chaotic and was very different from the usual good experience. Strange vibe today. I am a habitual tipper of at least 20%. Not today.

We looked at their reviews and were puzzled with the mix menu between a french patisserie and local breakfast. It was raining in PDC and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. The coffee was good, but that was it. The croissants were not fresh, the baguette was average, and the omelette with spinach and goat cheese.... well, not exactly my style. Although, there were few customers, the service was slow and uncared. They did provide with insect repellent when asked for, thanks for that.

The best gourmet latte I have ever had! the staff has excellent customer service skills. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing but at the same time entertaining. Great place to work, do home work or just write your personal journal and thoughts.

Stumbled upon this delicious gelato shop and it was scrumptious! We had pistachio, dark chocolate, coffee, and mint gelato and they were all tasty!! We enjoyed tea and dark cherry pie and a pistachio macaroon another day as we had to come back because it was so good. On top of the goodies being a treat the employees were just as enjoyable! They were so helpful, friendly, and kind! Recommend highly!

I love Amorino! The gelato is delicious, with some of the best flavors you can find. The service is very friendly, and the location in Playa del Carmen is perfect with a nice ambience. One thing I really like is that you can sample different flavors before choosing, which makes it fun to try something new. Amorino brings authentic gelato from Italy, and it’s a great spot to enjoy ice cream in Playa.

My kids loved it, tastes homemade. Adorable shop and great flavors. Me and my husband ordered the coffee flavor and my daughter got the raspberry and my son got nutella and tiramisu. We all ate it in minutes, definitely gonna miss this place. Workers work nice and inviting.

Amorino 🍦 is one of my favorite gelato spots! They always have such a wide variety of flavors, and I especially love the pistachio and the milk chocolate or hazelnut , they’re absolutely delicious 🤤. You can also try the flavors that you want! The stuff is kind! I’ve also tried Amorino abroad, in places like Portugal and Spain, and the gelato there was just as amazing 🇵🇹🇪🇸. Another thing I love is how beautifully designed their shops always are, from the cozy atmosphere to the elegant presentation, it feels special every time ✨. Another plus - in this spot of amorino there is a place for kids, to play and have fun (a small one though, but still) The only downside in Playa is that the gelato is quite expensive 💸, which is a bit of a bummer. Still, the quality and flavors make it worth indulging every now and then! ❤️

Great place to relax, calm and open shop. The books and board games felt inviting, so we felt no rush or pressure to eat quickly and then leave. The Macaron, Vegan Milkshake, and Espresso with Vanilla Gelato were all amazing.

Then in house made ice cream is amazing. Went here must days of the week in Holbox with our kids. The only downside was the service when two girls were working as they didn't break conversation or look at us while serving. The gentleman who owns or manages the place is great but these two girls offered horrible service which tainted the experience our kids.

My favorite ice cream shop in town. They have long hours in case you feel like eating an ice cream for dinner. The staff is very friendly and they have a great selection of flavors, different each day. Ask for the server’s favorites, he knows his business well.

We visited few icecream places while staying at Holbox in March 2018 and this one has the best tasting Italian ice cream with natural flavours. The portions are at least twice as big as other popular ice cream place on Main Street, this one is hidden on side street off main square and with closed sliding door it's hard to notice...

Delicious gelato. I stayed in Holbox for 3 days and tried several ice cream places. Other places have gelato that is just as good, but this place offers excellent gelato, serves the biggest portions and offers the best value for money. So if I have to pick a winner, then this is definitely the best gelato in Holbox. Only suggestion for the owner is to change the decor/sign outisde the store. You can walk next to it and not realize that they sell gelato.

When you’re on holiday, sometimes al you want is a nice icecream. Just as good is it would be at home. Here in Holbox however the icecream is much beter then in the Netherlands. Real italian icecream in the most exotische flavor’s. Creamy, fruity, incredible. After discovering porque No we CAME back every day to get an icecream. So If you are in Holbox and you like icecream go there. I recommend it

I have eaten a lot of gelato across the world and keep a tally of my favourite ones. This has definitely made it into my top 3 experience, something I didn't expect to happen in mexio! It really is gelato, not ice cream. We had lemon & guava and chocolate & almond. Both were super fresh, you could taste that they were made with real, fresh ingredients. The texture of the gelato was perfect. We will be back and would reccomend everybody gives this a go at least once.

A MUST VISIT WHEN IN VALLADOLID ! I am gonna be dreaming of the Affogato everyday till we visit again! Spent 2 days in Valladolid and we had Wabi Gelato both days, I found this gem by mistake, and ohhh I was not disappointed! As per my understanding, new flavors are added frequently, we tried 3 flavors and the Affogato, all were mouthwatering from the taste to the texture and consistency just amazing! The interior is very cute, it’s giving old town European ice cream shop! The owner is such a sweetheart, you can easily tell that she takes pride in the place and is very passionate about her work! Parking is the usual. Bought 2 bags of brownies, a fruit tart, and 2 Frappes. for about 160 pesos. The chocolate frappe was boring. The caramel one was very good. The tart was very yummy though! also it’s a cute date spot with cute details!

The bolillos are so good, and like $7 MX. Super cheap. Pastries are more like $15-$25MX. I tried a whole bunch of them, but the bolillos are the best part.

I love this place. Small bakery, since '80 family run business, Doña Adriana is very nice person, she was running the business many decades with her husband but after his death now their daughters are running the place but if you are lucky you can still meet her there.

My wife and I stopped to enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry. We wanted to share them as we already had lunch. We were told to leave unless we each purchased a least a cup of coffee and a pastry each. There was no one else in any of the outside tables. There is not a sign saying there is a minimum purchase to sit at a table. So off we walk carrying a not very good, too hot cup of coffee. Not impressed. Will not be seeing our business again. I don't know if the pastry is good, since I am still looking for a place to sit and eat it.

One of my favorite places to set and enjoy a pastry, break, or cake in the mornings. They make the best bolillos/teleras on the island and they are amazing when they just come out of the oven. Don't miss the breakfast pizza/pastry, chocolate muffins, or oatmeal cookies. The coffee is okay (cheaper canned coffee) but they also have a nice selection of juices and water to take with you or enjoy on the veranda. A popular hangout for ex-pats, snowbirds, and gringos traveling through the area.

Double the price of other bakeries. The older lady that runs the place gets all weird and yells at you to get out in Spanish if more than 2 people are in there. Still afraid of getting sick 3 years later. She NEVER comes to work on time to open up. Pastries are ok. Chedraui and Mega have way better for way cheaper.

This place is legitimately the best breakfast place I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at. Once we found out about this place we didn’t even bother going to other breakfast restaurants. I even proposed to my Fiancé there. We are back stateside but I can’t stop thinking about their tarts. If you’re in Cozumel do yourself a favor and stop in, at least for a tart. They do have meals as well. All in all a magical place that I hold dear to my heart. Each photo is a different morning we had breakfast here.

Ielo Soft Serve clearly markets itself as more than just a typical ice cream shop. They offer vegan, keto, yogurt‑based, and gluten-free friendly options, which is a big plus if you have dietary preferences or restrictions. they emphasize lower‑calorie options, no cane sugar/corn syrup (as some mention), and options for special diets gives it an edge in Cancuns dessert scene. They are located in Av. Huayacan (SM 311) which is a bit away from the most crowded hotel zone.

We were at this ice cream shop 15 minutes before it opened and we asked to the employee who was finishing preparing the toppings of the ice cream how does the shop works because we kind of figured it was like nutrisa, but he was unprepared, selfish and rude that he didn’t bother to do so, he just kept saying that he was up to open at 12 PM. We do understand that we were 15 minutes earlier as I said, but we also know that we didn’t ask for something out of his hands. He could’ve just explain a little bit of details and then tell us again that she was going to open in 15 minutes. Otherwise he shouldn’t keep the door open before the business does.

Great tasting but really annoying how the exact same order changes price. I buy the exact same thing and the price varies from 120 pesos to 145. Not worth arguing with them but I guess if they need an extra few pesos then cool. Prefer to put it in the tip jar myself than have them overcharge me.

Wow, this place is like a trip to the Willy Wonka ice cream factory. I ordered the Berry Good bubble waffle with salted caramel ice cream and had the time of my life 🤣 The ice cream alone was good, but all the other goodies make this the bomb!! I highly recommend you access your inner child and treat yourself here. They have a clean bathroom, socially distanced tables inside, an outside area, hand sanitizer, and a very cute decor.

Wanted to go for an ice cream but the staff started making fun of us! The two guys behind the counter were clearly laughing with us which is absolutely NOT appreciated! They were making comments, in Spanish, but little did they know I understand the lingo! Maybe if they want to laugh with customers then they should be a bit more discreet! Or better yet, don't do it at all! I really had to compose myself not to jump over the counter and teach them a bit of manners. Absolutely don't recommend this place since the staff laughs with you and makes fun of you because you're not Mexican! Stay away from this place!

Come here every time I'm in Isla. Love the tiramisu with a cappicino best tiramisu I've ever had. Owners are wonderfull people. Love seeing them every year we go to Isla, they remember us and make sure they save us tiramisu. Don't miss this place for a great dessert and coffee. 😘

Some of the best gelato I’ve had in my life and would would have thought to find it on Isla Mujeres! Of the 7 nights here, I think we went 4 or 5 for their delicious, homemade gelato. It’s run by an Italian guy who speaks pretty good English so he can explain everything to you. I had several different flavors including the chocolate with hazelnut, pistachio, and chocolate chip and each one was delicious. I think you would be hard-pressed to find a bad flavor. The only thing you should know, the scoops are small so order one of the larger sizes to try several flavors! Good thing it’s still much cheaper than what you would find elsewhere.

During my two-week stay, I ate here almost every night. The coconut ice cream affogato is a dream. And the merengue on the wonderful key lime pie is the best I've ever had. The woman who operates this dessertery is delightful; you wouldn't think she's a master-class culinary chemist, but she is. I would eat the grilled grouper next door and then stop in for an affogato and a small pie to go every night if I come back.

So I was delighted to find this local little hidden-gem located just a short walk from our hotel! This was Key-Lime perfection! The best key-lime pie I've had outside of the Florida Key's!!! The graham-cracker crust was very flavorful, with a nice, crisp, crunchy texture. The meringue was generous, (but as a nice addition to, & not to the detriment ofú the key-lime filling), was perfectly toasted to a golden-brown. They key-lime filling was the perfect combination of sweet & tart (I hate when they're too sweet, & prefer a nice 50/50 ratio), & was chock full of lime zest- which I L💚VE! Most places skimp on the zest & pulp, & that's if they don't omit it completely. If you're a fan of sweet, tart, & tangy key-lime pie, you won't be disappointed! I *WISH* I had thought to take a picture of the pie before we dove into it, but I didn't.

Coffee was very strong, but the frozen tea was done in a way I've never seen. Basically that iced tea was a normal tea bag, that we selected, with added ice before it was entirely brewed and the tea bag left in. Nice view thou and good prices as we paid not even $10 for iced tea, iced coffee and a large bottle of water.

In short: good coffee side note: for an ice cream and coffee place it would be nice to get coffee in an actual cup. And a signal when the coffee is ready to be picket up your self. (Or actual table service in low season)

Good place to get a morning coffee when you're in a hotel nearby. They open very early. But do not get fooled by the nice pictures outside. The coffee is good, the croissants were old and stale. The staff is very slow, and a bit chaotic. But the prices are good, and like I said, good coffee with a view.

I was staying nearby and came here every day for my morning coffee. Coffee is delicious and each cup is freshly ground. The outdoor tables are also a great place to sit, do some people watching and watch the world go by along the malecon.

Is it the best gelato? No. You’re in Mexico. But it’s definitely a good second choice.

Only gelato place in town. Great flavors. They offer waxed paper cups, but if you are environmentally friendly you should ask for the cone. Get extra napkins since you will be dripping. The places is not expensive and the service is just your standard Mexican service.

The affogato with cinnamon gelato was excellent, the perfect thing for a hot, sunny afternoon. The temperature inside the shop was a little bit steamy, but the outdoor seating was very nice.

Best ice cream on the island. We have literally visited every ice cream place here and the island has some wonderful ice cream to offer. ParadICE-Cream takes the prize though. The wide selection and easy location is great we highly recommend! Plus after you get your scoop of joy you can catch the local basketball game across the central square.

I live 5 min from the Gelatto Cafe and they managed to serve me my food cold. And since I don’t have gas at home atm I couldn’t even heat it up. La Cozumelena is an absolute must if you're spending a few days in Cozumel. We stopped in for breakfast one morning. We noticed that it was full of locals getting a meal in before heading to their jobs and just KNEW this was the place to eat. Our server was very friendly and double checked on us through the meal. We started off with some coffee and one of their fresh juices (delicious). They also have an extensive list of smoothies if you're feeling like something lighter/healthier to start your day. We then split two breakfast entrees: huevos motulenos and huevos jarochos. Both of these dishes are specialties of the area that I would highly recommend you try. Our favorite was the huevos jarochos which are like little breakfast enchiladas. There's also a bakery connected if you want some coffee and a pastry. If we find ourselves in Cozumel again, we are 100% going to pay this place a visit.

They have an English menu, but the staff don’t speak English so plan on some difficulty communicating if you want anything special (such as a nut allergy, iced coffee, bring one dish out first, etc.). With in the 7 days of our holiday in Playa del Carmen we visited this Cafe /Belleville Panaderia 4x, the cafe americano so good and the plain croissant is so yummy & better than i had in a french bakery in Leon, Nicaragua😁. The best brunch, lunch and patisserie spot in Playa - if not Mexico and beyond. The baked goods and conserves are clearly prepared from scratch with experience and care, making the flavours delicate and complex. The croissants may be the BEST I’ve ever had - so flaky and buttery. The hot menu items are simple yet done extremely well. And the service is next level - Max is just the most gracious and passionate host, creating a flair of European vibes here in Playa. Wish I’d found this spot earlier ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Got the huevos benedict with pulled pork. It was very small on a roll and perfect for a small snack or pick me up with a coffee. Was a bit on the pricey side for 75 pesos, it was delicious though. Also bought a loaf of sourdough and is delicious! Made a grilled cheese with it (that pic is my own cooking)

Every time we visit Italdo, we know we're at the best place in the Riviera Maya. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and welcoming - the aroma of freshly baked bread and coffee fills the air and lifts your mood. We came on a Sunday night with little kids and the men that took care of us was so frustrated because our youngest took a few seconds to decide what flavor he wanted. Such a lovely bakery! The sandwiches are super fresh and full of flavor, perfect for a quick lunch or takeaway. I also tried the almond croissant — absolutely delicious, flaky and rich with just the right amount of sweetness. Their cheesecake is also worth mentioning — creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. Friendly staff and cozy vibe. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving something tasty.

We went here for a quick breakfast and the pastries we got were delicious. The cinnamon roll was maybe a bit sweet (but i guess that’s normal in Mexico) and there were a lot of different flavours in the roll (not just cinnamon but also jam, nuts and chocolate). Nonetheless good quality and fresh. Also they have great coffee with options for vegan milk alternatives such as almond or soya milk and the juices are fresh (definitely try them)! Staff is friendly. Would come back here ;)

I had a really disappointing experience at this place. The woman working there (who I believe is the owner) was incredibly rude and had a terrible attitude from the moment I walked in. I thought it was overpriced for the area and taste. Better to get a paletta from one of the carts for $25 pesos- it was just as good. My son wanted his own cone but she wouldn't give us any type of deal so we just shared 2, 2 scoop cones for the family. It was like $10.50 US. She was rude with attitude. Would NOT recommend, I saw so many better deals.

Four of us ordered gelato here but my kids didn’t like two of their choices which is unusual for them. I asked the woman at the counter for a cup so I could separate the flavours they didn’t want, allowing the rest of us could eat it. However she tried to give me a ceramic mug out of her hand sink (gross!). When I explained that I just needed a paper cup she conferred with another woman and then told me no I would have to pay 50 pesos for the cup. After just spending $20USD I thought this was crazy. With other gelato places in the area that we liked better I’m not going back here. Crazy experience.
