Food pretty expensive and doesn’t worth with the taste at all. We ordered ayan geprek and soup ayam. Ayam geprek was super oily and salty and the soup ayam a lot of bones. Watermelon juice was good The waitress not communicative at all and did error order of mine.

WOW! That’s first thing on my mind first time entering this place. Cozy and warm place with pizza grilled outside (yes! Pizza grilled!) The menu selection also various. Indonesian and western. The taste also good. Marinara pizza 👍🏽 grilled squid 👍🏽 warm ginger tea 👍🏽 The price is a bit high compare to other restaurant in sumba, but it’s worthed.

Nice atmosphere, but the food was very disappointing, especially for the price. Also, the staff messed up our order. Twice. I understand that we’re not in Napoli here, but this pizza (that I ordered for my kids) should simply not be served. Ketchup is not a base sauce. The crust was so doughy that it felt like eating gum. The grilled chicken gave me and my wife cramps right after. I honestly don’t understand what this restaurant is aiming for. It’s too pricey for most locals. If it wants to serve tourists, then it needs to step up (big time) in terms of quality and hygiene.

Staff are nice, good interior, they have Bali cuisine, but something is quite missing when it comes to the taste of the food compare to its price. One and only maybe you could get Cappuccino with a basic machine.

I love the ambience at the cafe and its really cozy for me at this Sumba Barat. The most cozy cafe around here i think. But sometimes i got the hard chicken like in my “chicken cordon bleu” last week, i didnt enjoy it honestly. But i love pizza, beef steak, doughnuts, etc. I usually come here every weekend for work. Maybe u should use fresh chicken for chicken cordon bleu or other chicken. And i love the bali’s menu, i love the soup.

Atmosphere and service were amazing, and I was able to order ahead of time - the food was prepared shortly after I arrived! I had the bulgogi bowl, which was as filling and satisfying as any other bulgogi bowl I've had. I would have preferred a less-sweet flavouring for the bulgogi, and perhaps real eggs instead of powdered. Overall a great experience in Sumba!

It’s a great experience. One of the modern & besttt cafe in town! The food is absolutely amazinggg and no matter what I order I’m always delighted with my meal! Definitely a go-to place when you are in Sumba! Must try their Tahu Telur, Crispy Duck, French Toast and Vanilla Latte!

A nice place to have lunch. The ice v60 used local beans. It was good. The food was pretty good. The ayam taliwang was spicy. It was really good. Nice interior.

Relatively the best restaurant in Waingapu. Many choices of Indonesian food you can find here. Their ca kangkung and tahu goreng are always my favorite. Portion is pretty big for me and the price is quite affordable, ranged between 10K-40K. The rooms are clean. They devided into a non-smoking room which is air-conditioned and a smoking room without any air-con. Even they have a place for drivers to rest. Seating arrangement is good for group, but there are also tables for small group (1-2 people). This place opens at 7 in the morning and close at 9 pm. If you want to have a simple breakfast, you can eat breads from their bakery. Some choices are donuts, white bread, danish, muffins, etc. Price from 7K-20K. Crowded at meals time, especially lunch so that the service is slower.

This is tour and travel tourist trap. All the rental drivers will persuade us to come here. Food is so so, we tried the siomay and not even finish this. Meat soup is quite good but nothing special. The place is limited and many reserved for tour people. We got seated in smoking section, can’t stand this. If you go for private trip and your driver asked to have a meal here, better go somewhere else. Price is reasonable but dinner is not enjoyable.

This is one of the very good restaurants in Waingapu. This restaurant offers lot of menus to choose and order. One of the favourite foods is ayam bakar (grilled chicken) but if you are vegans then no need to worry because you can order vegetarian foods. The drinks are also good. It is clean, comfy and quiet place to enjoy your foods and drinks. It is AC room. The staff are friendly and price are affordable. Dining here is recommended!!!!

Good place for eating nasi goreng. I recommend the Nasi Goreng Spesial. Located at Waingapu city, easy to reach from terminal and just few minutes away from the central market. Price is a little expensive but okay.

The location is great, vibes, seating arrangements and cleanliness are great. However, the food is okay. They can improve the taste, pretty bland. We ordered fried rice with sei, vegetables fried rice and crunchy eggplant. Nice plce to just hanging out and drink but not for meal.

Elcafe Sumba is the nicest restaurant in town. It is clean, comfy and the staff and owners are really nice and friendly. The foods and drinks are really yummy with affordable price. Non- smoking room and smoking room, AC, karaoke, free wifi internet are among facilities provided. You can also wash your motorcycle or car. While waiting your car or motorcycle washed, you can have a cup of coffee or juice in the restaurant. Come and prove by yourself!!!

We came to this restaurant for dinner and we ordered grilled fish, sweet sour prawns and oyster sauce squids. Tasted nice but the prawns and squids too small.

What a lovely people! I have tried many crispy eggplant (terong crispy) in many restaurants around Waingapu and I can for sure say they have the best! The grilled fish was also great! I'll be coming back here if I visit Waingapu again. Terima kasih!

Discovered this little gem. Everything is first rate. Food, service, ambience. We tried the Nasi Canpur Halal. Cooked to perfection, perhaps the Rendang could have used a little more spice? But that is down to individual taste. We thought that the setting was just perfect.

Amazing place! Lovely atmosphere, we ordered orange and papaya juice, yuca as entree and carbonara and mie vegetarian with tofu and tempeh loved that they have vegan options and so many in general! We meet the owner too soo nice!

Found this place because our driver took us here and it’s not a tourist trap! we ate the boneless grilled fish and ayam bumbu lolina - they were so good! The sambal is great. The ambiance is ok, overlooking the garden. The owner comes from a village nearby and greets us in person. They also harvest the vegetables from the garden.

Spent one night here. This is one of these places which used to be nice. Where people put a lot of effort to build something nice and then stopped mantaining it... The room has a bad smell and was dirty. The outside area is run down too... Very sad to see. 400.000 IDR is just too much for this room. The only thing that kept us there was the lovely guy working there (whos name I forgott). He was super friendly and helpful. The Resto-area itself still looks quit nice and neaty. Would not come back for another night though.

What a amazing stay in Amu Dahi villas ! We were a group of 6 people traveling in Sumba! and what an experience ! Youri and Marine made us feel like home instantly ! The villa was spacious, the bambou bathroom beautiful and the fresh water swimming pool perfect to cool down after a day exploring the waterfalls around Melolo. We stayed 3 nights, and had time to try all the restaurant menu, special thanks for the homemade pizza ! The breakfast was delicious ! Marine and Youri are excellent hosts, they know a lot about Sumba island and traditional culture. They took us to so many different places. We hope to be back one day to see the evolution of the development of this beautiful island. Merci :-)

Great place with confortables bungalows in a quiet area in melolo. The owners are really nice and helpful to prepare with you the visit of the island. They know a lot of about Sumba. It's possible to rent a motorbike to discover the traditional village all around. Good home made foods (pizza, crepes, ice cream...). There is also a swimming with natural water. Highly recommanded!!

We stayed at Amu Dahi for a couple of days in December 2019, this place is a little paradise. We were there with our 2 year old daughter and she had an amazing time as well. The bungalows are beautiful, the garden and pool are great, food delicious and hosts very nice!

My favorite cafe in Waingapu. Very clean and conformable to stay long time. Staffs are very friendly. I spend around 70,000 rp for food and drink so it's expensive in Waingapu but I think it's worth it.
