Kotta Sushi Lounge is a modern eatery in Houston that offers a wide variety of creative Japanese fare, including signature maki rolls and bento boxes. The restaurant's ambiance is stylish and inviting, with an open sushi bar adding to the dining experience. Customers have praised the amazing food, particularly highlighting the perfectly made spicy tuna roll, California roll, and shrimp tempura roll. The large and regular bento boxes are also popular for their generous portions.
The very best sushi I've ever tryed. Really nice taste and the presentation was amazing. The service was also excellent. All staff were so attentive and they help us to understand the menu and the questions we had about the dishes.

Was in the mood for sushi and I have been here once before a few years ago. Went early and it was happy hour still so I got a few different rolls at good prices. The ingredients are very fresh and everything comes out quick. The service is wonderful and treats you well (I was the only one in at the time however). This is a fairly typical modern sushi bar. Nothing special moody lighting and a big sushi bar to sit at. It’s a surprise for Frisco, TX.

Good food. We dropped in on a Friday night for a dinner, rolls were not sushi as such, but delicious nonetheless

This is hands down one of my favorite sushi places. The fish is always fresh and delicious, and the flavors really stand out. Definitely try the Jackie Chan roll—you won’t regret it! The service was great, and the staff seemed like they genuinely enjoy working there, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll be back for sure!

Great sushi, definitely try the Guns N Roses… AMAZING. Reasonable pricing. Also their vibe was veryyy chill, great music, Empire of the sun, Rufus Du Sol, Cannons vibes. Overall 10/10
A A — Google review
Today was our first time to Kotta, and we loved it. We were grateful for the dog-friendly patio. The fish was of extremely high quality! (in a town that is not necessarily known for this). And our waitress Lila was delightful—-we will definitely be back!
Elizabeth P — Google review
Tonight’s visit to Kotta Sushi was a mixed experience. While the food and drinks were enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. Our server was inattentive, and we had to repeatedly call for assistance just to place orders or receive basic service. It felt like we were an afterthought rather than valued guests. Fortunately, another staff member stepped in and provided much better service, which was appreciated. However, the overall experience was tarnished by the lack of attentiveness from our primary server. Hoping for a more professional and attentive experience next time.

Edoko Sushi & Robata is a modern restaurant in Frisco that offers a unique dining experience. The menu features a variety of sushi, sashimi, and traditional Japanese cuisine, as well as robata cooking over charcoal-fired hearths. Guests can enjoy premium sake, Japanese beer, and handcrafted cocktails while indulging in some of the best sushi and sashimi in town.
Continually the best service, the best food, and favorite spot for date night or family dinner. The gentleman, “Key” is world class in service and makes every dining experience unique and special. The chef is creative and kind, with an exciting specials menu and phenomenal suggestions. I could leave 50 more reviews just like this for Edoko and every dining experience we have here. We hope you love us as much as we love you, because you have no choice but to see us every week.
Taylor T — Google review
Edoko is a sushi lover’s dream. Every visit has been an adventure as I work my way through the menu, and each time I discover new favorites. The sushi is consistently fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. What makes Edoko special is how balanced the menu is—whether it’s a classic roll or something more creative, the quality shines through. This has quickly become one of my go-to spots, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys sushi. For visitors in town, Edoko is a must-do dining experience. Pictured are just a few of the incredible dishes we enjoyed—and there are so many more worth coming back for.

After moving to this area about a year ago, we were excited to see SO many sushi places, as we love good sushi! But, “good” was the operant word. We painstakingly waded through many, many of the local sushi places in both Frisco and Plano. Most were a huge disappointment, and weren’t at all consistent. When someone recommended Edoko, we knew we had found our perfect sushi place! First of all, the sushi was not just good, but was outstanding. And consistent…every single time, it was the same , and the best we’d ever had. Secondly, the service was beyond compare! We always ask for Kie, and we no longer even need menus…he sees us, knows that we always order the same foods and deserts, and notifies the amazing sushi chefs as soon as we sit down. He knows that I like my roll pieces half-width, as the size of their rolls is the most generous in the area. He also automatically brings us not one, but two glasses of our beverage of choice, knowing we will each need another before the meal is over…this includes remembering the exact number of lemon slices I like with my iced tea. The food is just amazing, including the beautiful and tasty orchid-looking edible flowers that adorn each dish. Thirdly, their location is so convenient to both Frisco and Plano…121 and Legacy…easy to get to from virtually anywhere around. Since we had recently moved to the area, we found block numbers assigned to locations off of 121 confusing. But when we realized that Edoko was really on Legacy at 121, it made getting there so much easier. We really have tried most of the local sushi places in the year since we moved here, and all too many were a terrible waste of money. We are done experimenting. We can ALWAYS count on.Edoko for fresh, generous, delicious, and consistent sushi, and we no longer have any desire to check out any other sushi places. This places is about as perfect a place as you can find anywhere, let alone in this area. It is an oasis of calm and good, trustworthy,,and consistent excellence. I highly recommend that you request Kie…I’m sure that everyone there is good, but he is the absolute best!

The food was amazing and well priced. I love that they allow brown rice substitutions for their sushi rolls for those who are more on the diabetic side or just prefer brown rice. Our kids loved the yakisoba beef noodles. Our waiter never let our waters run out which was amazing he was very friendly and helpful explaining things on the menu. I loved that they had authentic Japanese green tea it is really makes a difference it's very soothing compared to American green tea. I would highly recommend this place and come back if I'd lived in the area but sadly I lived 3 hours away. Definitely worth the money and it's a very inviting calming environment. If you're in the area it's a must go!
Melissa T — Google review
This place is amazing! Everything I've had is amazing, from their Sashimi, to their sushi, and their duck! Uff, their duck is amazing! Great ambiance, the place is very cool. It's a great place to have a conversation with friends. Will come back. Highly recommended. On my top 10 restaurants for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area so far.

Had the chirashi bowl for lunch at Edoko and it was super fresh! Around $25 with tax and tip, and totally worth it. I’m usually picky about tuna, but theirs was hands-down the best I’ve ever had.

Densetsu is a casual and modern Japanese eatery located in Bristol Pointe Estates, Plano. It's renowned for its creative specialty rolls, fresh sushi, sashimi, and a variety of Japanese fare. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of vegan-friendly options alongside bento boxes and ramen noodles for non-sushi enthusiasts.
While between appointments, we stumbled upon a charming Japanese restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The inviting atmosphere immediately caught our attention, especially the family-friendly vibe and the option to dine on the patio, which was perfect for the sunny afternoon. Our server was attentive and friendly, guiding us through the menu and offering recommendations without being overbearing. As for the food, it was flavorful and beautifully presented. We ordered the Beef and Chicken Yakisoba. Each dish was seasoned just right, allowing the natural flavors to shine without being overly complicated. The relaxed atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a casual lunch, with plenty of families enjoying their meals around us. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that felt both welcoming and well-executed. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area!

My extended family had been craving sushi and our usual spot closed so we have been on the lookout for new sushi places to try out. One of my cousins had been here so we gave it a try. The wait staff was very attentive and what we didn't know was how big the portions are for their rolls. We ended up ordering way too much food and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. My daughter spilled some water and the staff was so patient and kind, they cleaned it up so quickly and brought lots of napkins to help. Regarding the food, I was surprised by how good the black cod was. We will definitely be back for more, as there are so many more dishes to try out.
Brian G — Google review
The food here is always great. My husband and I have loved this place since 2020 and are proud return customers. We’ve been to several sushi spots, but this one remains our top choice. The Ahi Tower was excellent, but the roll could have been better—it needed to be fried more for extra flavor and texture. Surprisingly, the food took quite a while to be served this time.
F A — Google review
Fav sushi spot! Sua was so kind and attentive ☺️ I got a Salmon skin Roll, a Volcano Roll, and the Dynamite App, plus a lychee Saketini with pear. Everything was phenomenal!
Brittany A — Google review
We had a very sub-optimal experience with this restaurant. Specially after spending $100 for two adults and a kid, and we didn’t even order any drinks. They sent the wrong food and incomplete food some of the dishes were not good. Ordered a sushi roll (maki) and they sent a strange cone, the nigiri had wasabi in it and the kid couldn’t eat it, the beef don looked horrible and tasted meh, the beef was overcooked, hard and dry. The only thing we liked was the udon soup.
Mauricio D — Google review
Just ordered and picked up my alone Star roll and I am very disappointed. The roll was full of oil and put right onto the styrofoam container that way. I actually had to move my rolls to the other side after putting a layer of paper towels down to absorb some of the oil as you can see on the photos attached. In addition, the miso soup was simply brought with no seaweed nor any tofu in it at all This used to be my favorite place. I have no idea what happened to the quality. I want a refund upon opening tomorrow morning!

The Blue Fish Allen is a modern Japanese restaurant known for its signature rolls, sushi, and cocktails. The restaurant offers the freshest premium selections of sushi and sashimi in a splashy blue-themed space. It features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide ample light and views of the nearby green space and park. The patio seating is recommended on nice weather days, offering a beautiful location for enjoying lunch or dinner.
We went out for a bite to eat and a drink at the Blue Fish in Allen on a Friday night, and we were very pleased with the "reverse happy hour" menu, which was only available at the bar. The large hot sake wasn't our favorite, but it was a fun way to start the evening. The sushi tower was awesome, providing a lot of delicious food for a good price. We went with salmon, and it was great. Also tried the fried calamari, and it was so great we ordered another round. The ten dollar you call it well drinks were great: we tried strawberry margaritas. Bar tender was attentive, spot on with drinks and our food order. Everything was absolutely great. Restroom was clean. No military discount. Overall, excellent place in Watters Creek. Highly recommend!
Chantry G — Google review
4.8 experience here. Food, service and atmosphere was great. Good selection of drinks, but would like to see a few more unique cocktails. Waygu beef was great, Fire Shrimp app was amazing and the sushi is as good as it gets. Spicy chicken was ok, little bland probably add a little salt wouldve brought out the flavors.
Adam C — Google review
Dinner tonight was a lot of fun. Gigi, our server was really good. She refilled our glasses without being asked and delivered our food promptly. The food itself was wonderful! Edited: Tonight, our server Lippeta was wonderful! The food was delicious. The atmosphere was nice.
Jerry K — Google review
We have never been to this location, we found out the Las Colinas location had shut down and had been wanting to try Allen Blue Fish out and it did not disappoint. The Sashimi was on point and so was the service. Randy was fun and gave us a great experience. We will absolutely be back!
Brooks R — Google review
Beautiful location to grab a nice sushi lunch or dinner. Floor to ceiling glass allows plenty of light and views of the nearby green space and park. Parking was easy to come by on a weekday lunch visit, but may likely differ in the evenings or on weekends. Lunch specials included many bento boxes that were a great deal for the money considering the quality of the food and the portions. Great service as well. The spring rolls here were especially good, consider them for an appetizer. Solid spot for Japanese if you’re considering options in the area.
Jared G — Google review
We’ve been coming here for years now. Outstanding service, great location, the patio has an incredible view and the food is always great! Pictured, is the Titan Roll- not on the menu but they will know how to make it when you order it.
JIM R — Google review
As much as I come to Watters Creek, this was my first time trying Blue Fish. This seemed like a family friendly restaurant. I saw online they had a happy hour on some food so after my son was done playing at the playground, we came to eat here. We sat on the patio and the girl said happy hour is only at the bar but clearly I had my child so we couldn't sit there. I asked if they would honor food happy hour and they wouldn't or else they would have to for everyone. Why not just make happy hour on patio also for people who can't sit at bar? Not very considerate. I've been to others that were happy to honor it. For food, I tried the california roll and that was ok. It was not rolled right and kept falling apart. I also tried the Philadelphia roll and it was ok. Overpriced for what you get.
S — Google review
Great location and atmosphere, service was great, never waited on anything. Wanting to try something different we ordered the Brussel Sprout appetizer, seared peppered tuna, a roll and the volcano. The Brussel sprouts were shredded and flash fried with pork belly and jalapeño, it was ok but not what we were expecting. The peppered tuna and roll were both delicious. The volcano with scallops was just ok, the sauce was a little off and thin. We will go back to try more traditional sushi as that seems to be their best entrees.

Jinbeh is a local Japanese chain known for its cozy ambiance and authentic Japanese atmosphere. The restaurant offers hibachi tables where skilled chefs prepare your meal right in front of you, providing an entertaining dining experience. Alternatively, guests can sit at the sushi bar and watch the talented sushi chefs craft delicious rolls. Popular menu items include the Volcano Roll, Spider Roll, and the crowd-favorite Teriyaki Steak.
Staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. A little bit more expensive but that is expected with hibachi. Drinks were excellent with Sapporo on tap, the sushi was amazing. This is my second visit and won't be my last.
Sean T — Google review
My thoughts are based on hibachi only. Food was pretty salty for my taste- the meats would be inedible without the veggies on the side. Recommend steak over chicken. The complimentary salad was fine but I am not a fan of the watery mushroom soup. If you are sensitive to the taste of water, I HIGHLY recommend ordering a drink instead of getting water. The water they served was absolutely putrid.
Eunice — Google review
We had a 5 pm. reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were served drinks, salad, and soup right away. Our host was very welcoming, as well as our server. My husband and i ordered the filet minor and steamed rice. I have a dairy and shrimp allergy, which our chef accommodated by cooking the shrimp appetizer last. The food was delicious more than we could eat. Our chef put on a great show, too. See fire photo. Highly recommend Jinbeh. We will be back. Photos are after I had eaten some of my dinner.
Linda F — Google review
Was a great experience! The chicken yakitori was a great appetizer very reasonably priced and enough for 2 to be honest 1 for each skewer. The sushi I had was ring of flame or fire one of the specials. It was very flavorful the texture was spot on. And then the ice cream tempura was terrific as well. Very visually appealing and delicious.

Our dining experience at Jinbeh was delightful. This was our first time eating here at this Hibachi. I had the Chicken 🐓 and my wife had the beef 🥩 🐄. We will definitely be coming back for more experiences. We also can’t wait to try the Sushi 🍱 🍣.

Jinbeh was decent. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was ok, but the food was just okay for the price. The hibachi show was fun, though it felt a little rushed compared to other places I’ve been. The sushi was fresh, but not particularly memorable. Overall, it’s a fine spot if you’re in the area and craving hibachi or sushi, but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to come back.

Sushi Envy is a trendy Japanese restaurant that offers a variety of fish, rolls, and appetizers on a conveyer belt. It is known for its selection of wine and sake. The restaurant is frequented by many patrons who often stop by during trips to or from Ikea, even late at night. Despite being outside of the discount hours, the food is considered well worth the full price.
When you live within walking distance, there’s no excuse to not try this place and IM GLAD WE DID! I’m a bit shy so when I blurted out that we’ve never visited before, the young gentlemen that I helped was beyond helpful. He took the time to explain how the pricing system works and even checked on us to make sure we were ok. Paige, the sushi chef just went above and beyond making our first experience an amazing one. Then the other gentleman who worked there joined in on the conversation and not only was I impressed by the jovial and laid back attitude of the staff, but my daughter was impressed too. Thanks guys. Can’t wait to see you again soon.

We lived in Japan several years, and I can say that this sushi is delicious! The sushi chef is personable and knows his craft. For all you can eat at $11.95, you can beat this place.
Christina P — Google review
Love this place! We always seem to stop by on trips to/from Ikea, and usually quite late at night. So, we hit them outside of the discount hours, but even at full price they are well worth it. They've always been very friendly, especially regarding questions--I couldn't have raw fish for a while, and once we brought a friend who couldn't have Sriracha, so we had to double-check on a lot of the rolls as to what was safe or not. You can also request rolls to be added to the conveyor belt when you want (sometimes it's needed, if all your co-consumers are unadventurous). You can also get a whole roll for yourself, if there's one you're especially craving!
Raven J — Google review
First time trying Sushi Envy and I gotta say, could not have been happier with my visit. It’s always dicey choosing an all you can eat sushi place, but Sushi Envy is one of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, delicious sushi rolling all over on a large conveyor belt. Grab what you want at anytime, no waiting. We chose the cheapest option which was basic sushi rolls only. For a little more they offer an expanded menu and make it right there and bring it to you. Wait staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. I will easily be back and we loved our experience!
Shawn H — Google review
Loved it. Great service, great sushi. Love the revolving bar bc it means it can be a super quick meal.

The food was very good. There were many options on the conveyer. And the staff were happy to make anything on the menu that wasn’t on the belt at that time. It was a quiet night. The staff were very friendly.

Sushi Marquee is a vibrant and colorful second-floor restaurant that offers a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, sake, and creative cocktails. The staff is known for their exceptional service and the management ensures a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The retro vibe of the place adds to its charm with 80s music playing in the background. While some find the menu slightly more expensive than other sushi restaurants, the quality of food is considered normal.
We had been looking for a new favorite Sushi restaurant after our old favorite unfortunately went out of buisness unexpectedly about a year ago. After trying about 6 different restaurants in the area we happened into this place last Friday night and Wow! I am so glad we tried them. This place was nothing shot of phenomenal! From the awesome decore and atmosphere (who could not love a place that has a Air brush painting of Godzilla and Yoda on the wall and a light up of Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction!) The Staff where all very happy, efficient and friendly. Our server Cheyenne was fantastic! Very attentive but without hovering. We would love her to be our server anytime or everytime. Our plates were never empty and our glasses never ran dry. The food was next level awesome! I highly suggest the Calamari Steaks and any of their Sushi rolls. We also saved just enough room for a sample of their cheesecake and it was very delicious and I admit I am a spoiled Cheesecake snob and this did not disappoint. Also for Drinks if you are a fan of Old Fashioned I most highly recommend the Whiskey Wabbit I'll give it a top 3 rating meaning I'd have to have it and the 2 next best side by side to accurately judge which was the absolute best. Cheers to another winning Business model and we can't wait till the next time we are out for Sushi we will definitely be coming back to try some more! (Recently went back to visit and to our surprise and disgust, this great place went out of business and is permanently closed!)

Sushi Marquee is a nice place to have dinner at. Their food is really good, and their service is amazing. The atmosphere is nice. The service is the reason to go as my waiter specifically added a note with the desert because it was my birthday! Overall a really good place.
Sreyash H — Google review
It was mine and my wife's first time at Sushi Marquee. The sushi rolls my wife and I ordered were good. The taste is what we had expected, comparing it from the other sushi places we've eaten at. I felt like our table wasn't as clean as it should've been, especially during the pandemic, I'd like to feel as if I can safely place my arms on the table without worry. Our soy sauce dispenser wasn't clean. My wife and I were seated away from everyone, which was good, we didn't want to sit near anyone, but then another family was seated next to us. There was so many empty tables, but instead, got seated next to us. I noticed other dine-in groups were also seated pretty close to each other, instead of keeping everyone at a distance of at least 6ft apart. Waitresses were nice. We felt welcomed.

Very good location, and the overall environment is really good. I went there to celebrate my twin boys birthday. This was our first visit to the restaurant and I am glad that we did it. We enjoyed the food. The customer service was outstanding. Ashley was your waitress and she was outstanding and took care of us very nicely. Definitely worth the visit. I would recommend this restaurant again and again.

So it’s a special night tonight and Ashley simply killed it. Fast service, my drink was never half empty, very sweet and great energy. The sushi was great as well. Had 5 roles, and a slice of cheese cake at the end. Definitely a nice find. I’ll be back very soon

Just went and had my birthday lunch here yesterday! The fish was some of the freshest I’ve ever had, our hostess and waitress were wonderful and very helpful, and the atmosphere was very nice! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some fresh sushi. We ordered the Large Star for about $125, it said it could feed 2-3 people but it easily fed 4-5 people.

Dynamite rock shrimp is a must! The sashimi is incredibly fresh, chicken and steak are flavorful. Wagyu hot rock is fantastic and full of flavor. I love the location and the atmosphere, they have DJs and host events at times. Overall it’s a very tasteful and enjoyable place to go with friends/family.

The tuna tower is delicious and shareable. The wagyu spring rolls are so very good and they come with 4 pieces to share but I could eat them all. The Fuji sangria is refreshing and light and very fruity. The sushi here is fantastic too. It’s a great spot to get appetizers and drinks or to get your whole dinner. Great atmosphere and always good music. Clean restrooms and good service. I highly recommend.

Sakura Sushi & Sake Bar is a delightful destination for anyone seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience. With its charming decor and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant truly captures the essence of Japan. The menu boasts a variety of dishes made from the freshest ingredients, ensuring that every bite is both delicious and healthy. Highlights include their tuna tower, monster crab, and renowned chicken teriyaki. On my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of wait on a Saturday evening.
The reason for my 5 star review today was most definitely because I had a great waiter. His name is Henry and he alone deserves 5 stars. He is so attentive, friendly and overall a great waiter. It would be amazing if I had him as a traveling waiter and wait on me at every restaurant I ate at. As per usual food is always amazing. Atmosphere is pleasant. Definitely a returning customer and I always recommend this place to friends.

A good spot for some tasty sushi! The fish to rice ratio is a little off (a bit more rice than I would’ve liked) but the rice does taste good! The staff are friendly and helpful and can handle allergy requests. Having said that, if you have a shellfish allergy, the majority of their specialty rolls will be unavailable for you to enjoy. Hopefully this changes in the future!

Excellent service. The server was very helpful and came around often to check on us. I really enjoyed the avocado bomb and I got the butterfly kisses I believe is the name of the role I got and it was absolutely delicious! Food tasted fresh. I will definitely be back! We loved the dessert too. It was the chocolate cake with ice cream. Cake was so good!

Best Sushi I tried in Texas so far, the chicken teriyaki is superb and the tempura delicious, both the veggie tempura and the ice-cream tempura! The service was excellent and the best is that prices are not expensive! The place is very well decorated, not just the functional good food but average atmosphere one; well done. One of our favourite restaurant for sure.

We have traveled to many countries and eaten some of the best Asian food available. Sakura sushi and food we ate were mouth watering delicious. We enjoyed every bite and accidentally over ate because the food was exceptionally delicious. If you are in the area, Sakua is a must...

I had a good time and some of the appetizers I choose were really good, expecially the Takoyaki and Oysters. I ordered some different sushis just to try and they came out cold and looked like were pre prepared some time in advance. (they weren't bad, but I expected better). Service was kind and welcoming. Drinks were fine.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been coming to Sakura since the day they opened, and it’s been my go-to sushi spot ever since. I’m honestly surprised I haven’t written a review before now. The food is always fresh and among the best you’ll find in DFW. Their sushi is consistently top-notch, and the service never disappoints - friendly, attentive, and welcoming every single time. Sakura truly deserves to be rated as one of the best in the area. If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Great experience with Henry as server. The Chicken Karaage was delicious. Awesome fatty Sashimi and Sushi select. Also two delicious rolls; Angry Wife and Anaconda. Good value with their House Sake and my wife enjoyed her wine. A place to be regular. Great daily specials as well. Thanks Henry!

Very nice sushi bar; various salmon nigiris tasted very fresh, juicy and delicious. Hand roll, sushi roll and riceless roll were also good. Recommended to visit and try. The servers were friendly and helpful; they came frequently to check if we needed something else. The restaurant looked clean. It’s good to seat at the bar to watch the sushi chef preparing the food.

After my first visit to Kyodai I was obsessed with its sushi and decided to go back for an omakase experience and it was the best decision ever! From ingredients freshness to skillful presentation, Kyodai had hit all the high marks. Go try and see it for yourself. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Absolutely just an amazing quality of food. I haven’t had this good of quality sushi in a while. They didn’t have very many customers around the time we went in but they went all out for us right after we ordered. The oysters with quail egg was amazingly must try! The presentation of the food that was given to us was top quality no short cuts for this sushi bar. I felt like I was back in Japan for vacation with the friendly staff we will definitely be returning customers for sure.

I just found my favorite sushi place in DFW. This small sushi bar meets all my expectations for Sushi. Fresh fish, Sea urchin, sweet shrimp, fatty tuna and fatty salmon. The Believe Me set ($40) is a great set with taster items and great value. The chef and waitresses were very friendly! Will definitely frequent this restaurant. If you are a sushi lover, look no further.

Housekeeping: the photos in my review are items from Set 1 and Set 2 at Kyodai. We have also been three times before writing this review. First and foremost, yes this place is a bit pricey, and may be out of reach of some folks budget. I will say that you absolutely get what you pay for, and I don’t mind paying that price. It is my honest opinion that there is not another sushi bar in the area that can get away with these prices. In the three times that we have been to this restaurant, we have received great service from the staff, and the food quality has been top-notch. The restaurant itself is very well appointed, and stylish. This can be a place you can take your kids if they like sushi, but I really would recommend this is more of a date spot for lunch or dinner. Typically when we go to sushi, we know what we like, and order those items off the menu, but we will also ask the chef if they have anything special that day, or ask for their recommendations. We typically do not order a set or do Omakase because we had not really found a place aside from Sushihana in San Antonio that we trusted to order this way. I will say that the sets at Kyodai are definitely the way to go! Each set has its price point, and the courses provided are definitely reflected in that price. I have enjoyed Set 1 twice, and Set 2 was enjoyed yesterday for lunch service. While set one is only about $35, the quality of the fish used is worth more in my opinion. I can talk all day about why I would recommend this place, however the bottom line is… If you are looking for a sushi bar that uses high quality fish and thinks outside the box in the way they use it, then Kyodai is the way to go. This is the only sushi bar I would recommend in this area of town. There are other locations I could recommend if you are on a budget, but sushi is a luxury, and Kyodai does it well!

Great sushi place, a little on expensive side. Big and airy space, with sushi chef working in the center of it, nice decor, cool and casual atmosphere. Everything we ordered was amazing! Their fish is super fresh and they put the right amount of rice in their nigiri and rolls. I have to admit that I was not a fan of their miso soup but everything else makes up for it. The excellent and quick service from Linh deserves five stars in itself! She’s been very friendly and helpful

Kona Grill is a stylish establishment offering a diverse menu of contemporary American cuisine, including healthy choices and an impressive sushi selection. The attentive and exceptional server, Chance, effortlessly delivered meals promptly while tending to other tables on a bustling Saturday night. Complemented by the skillful bartender Rachel who ensured timely and accurate beverage preparations, the frozen margarita was particularly delightful. The Happy Hour dishes were delectable, as was the flavorful Sangria.
Kona Grill in Plano exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was stylish and inviting, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The service was impeccable—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We started with an Asian salad, and then a delicious sushi platter & ended the night with triple layer brownie sundae! Overall, Kona Grill Plano delivers an outstanding dining experience with top-tier food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal!

Huge restaurant with a nice ambiance. Had a (very overpriced) tuna poke bowl at the bar. The service was good and the food came out quickly. But for the price the portion size and flavor were really lacking. Disclosure: The poke bowl IS listed in "The Lighter Fare" section of the menu, so I expected it wouldn't be large. However, the server told me The Lighter Fare items are still quite sizable portions. So for the $25 price ($32 total with tax and tip, no beverage), it was wayyy too small. It was average in taste. I don't plan to return.

Clean, quiet, enjoyable dining experience! I got the poke bowl and it was delicious. It didn’t make me feel sick after eating because it was a good portion size. It had really good flavor and they really piled on the toppings! It was super refreshing with great flavor. The burger was really juicy and the fries had great crisp! Definitely give this place a try!

The 3 course meal was impeccable and the service was amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and they brought me a special salad dressing because I didn’t like what was offered with original selection. They had some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. The wine that was provided was delicious and the espresso martini was 10/10!
Ashley W — Google review
The aesthetic of Kona Grill may draw you in, but unfortunately, the food and service don't follow through. We ordered a medium steak and received a well-done one, with maybe two bites in the center that could generously be called medium. When we brought it up, the server’s response was, “So, you need it cooked longer?” Absolutely not. When the manager finally addressed it, their comment was: “Well, it looks like you have one good bite there.” That statement was not only unprofessional. It was insulting. I didn’t pay for a scavenger hunt. I paid for a properly cooked steak. My husband and son walked in hungry and left the same way, after spending $200 on dinner. One had a sliver of salmon that looked more like a garnish than an entrée. Honestly, Salata serves more salmon on a salad. Small portions, overcooked proteins, and dismissive service. And to top it off, the non-carpeted floors were sticky from the front door to our table, and there was a strong musty carpet smell in the air. The ambiance may look upscale, but the cleanliness, timeliness, food, and service didn’t match the image. Kona Grill is all style and no substance. We won’t be back.
Dr. S — Google review
Stay far away. Especially for happy hour. I never would have thought Kona would rip people off. But this is what’s happening at this location. Their happy hour menu HORRIBLE. A small child would still be hungry after consuming. If you can’t afford to feed your guest just close. I literally had to get up a leave. There was no way I was about to be ripped off.

My server Brittany & Sally were amazing and I came in for my birthday and they made it so special. God was also great.

Fun and energizing atmosphere! Great for a chill date or group of friends. Our server was great and went above the standard service. The happy hour menu here is great. A lot of options for great prices. We got the angry edamame and it was fantastic! The Kona frozen margherita was also very good. The sliders I thought were just okay. I ordered the tuna and salmon poke bowl and it really hit the spot. Very fresh fish and toppings! I do wish it was a slightly larger portion for the price, but the quality was there. Also... It mentioned macadamia nuts in the menu description, but I think they simply forgot them on mine. Still good though! The fish tank at the entrance is very cool and fun as well.

Great ambience. Large cocktail list. And decent sake list as well. But limited veg options. We tried all three veg sushi - overall okay. The fried rice was too oily. The garlic edamame was the best.

This place is very eye pleasing. I love color and it was full of that. Visited during a time when there wasn’t a lot of traffic, so I was able to sit and eat quietly without feeling rushed due to “table need”. Food was fresh and some selections came with cool presentation. Full bar and friendly staff. Great customer service. Would make a great date night location, and I would love to come back in the evening hours, to see what the ambience is like at that time.

Overall our experience at this restaurant was very positive. The service was great, and our server was very attentive to our needs. I do have to say that RA sushi bar has been one of the better sushi spots that we have tried in DFW. Sushi is one of our favorite things to eat, and we do enjoy exploring different sushi bars and seeing what they have to offer. Everything here tasted very fresh and was presented beautifully. The sashimi sampler bowl was the highlight of my meal, and had a great variety of different cuts of seafood. I will keep this short sweet into the point. If you enjoy sushi, this is definitely a place that you need to try. I’m sure he will find some thing that you will greatly enjoy. Also, it is very hit or miss at different locations on how to see urchin taste. The sea urchin sushi here was very sweet and buttery, and did not at all taste fishy or like aquarium water. I would highly recommend that you try it if you enjoy sea urchin, and if you have not tried sea urchin, this would probably be the best place for you to taste it for the first time!

The place has a very enjoyable ambiance, they have both patio and indoors seating, including bar stools. Good for large and small parties, or just a date tonight. The service was very attentive, and there was a lot of them. The food came out a bit slow, but it was actually very tasty and fresh. The only issue with this location was the parking. But, there are parking garages in the area.

01/06/2024 update: as my husband and I enjoy RA sushi, we go there to celebrate all our big and small accomplishments. Our experience here Thursday evening was AMAZING! We were greeted as we walked in, got seated, and then that’s when Husam (Sam) came to introduce himself to us. Such a sweet guy with a sweet smile and very friendly attitude. We genuinely enjoyed our night and JUST for this experience we decided to give this location the 5 stars it deserves. Thank you for making our evening Hussam. We will be back. ♥️ Previous experience: Our experience a few weeks ago -> The food, cleanliness, quality was excellent. However, the service was very off. Seemed like every staff member that we encountered this evening had an unnecessary attitude. We were greeted late, the manager Melissa had a very disappointing attitude with us within the first few encounters, and our server was wasn’t attentive either. We have definitely had better experiences and just to think about our last interaction - super disappointing. We had come in celebrating a big night and it was very conveniently disrupted by the manager and the server. ———————- This location is by far my favorite location. Clean location, helpful and friendly staff, and quality food! We love the seared tuna, chicken fried rice, and spicy Cali roll. Breanna tonight in specific was very sweet and helpful. Definitely would recommend this location!

Benihana is a popular hibachi chain that offers grilled Japanese dishes prepared by skilled and entertaining chefs at your table. This restaurant provides a wonderful dine-in experience, with friendly hosts and chefs who put on an entertaining show while cooking. The kids especially enjoy the onion ring train show. The food at Benihana is of high quality, thanks to the host's attention to detail in taking orders and suggesting better options. One dessert that stands out is the delicious Strawberry Mochi ice cream.
Nice experience to enjoy your food . They have 5 course and 6 course menu option. We had 5 course came with soup , salad, shrimp , rice , veggies and actual main course. We tried tofu steak and Diablo seafood medley . Both were good. The tofu came with vegetarian soup. So the vegetarian options were kept in mind. Overall a great experience.

We tried this place for dinner recently and had a great time. We haven’t been here for 15+ years, but we are glad we tried it again. The chili ponzu yellowtail and pan fried gyoza dumpling appetizers were great as a starter. The fried rice, shrimp, chicken, and filet mignon were great. The $22 kids meal was a ton of food for our 3 year old, but we made a couple meals out of it. We were very entertained by the gentleman cooking the food. My daughter was mesmerized. It’s on the pricier side, but definitely worth checking out if you like hibachi.
Jimmy K — Google review
Basically you're paying for dinner and a show, all things considered it's a good novelty restaurant with funny and friendly staff, but I found the taste of the actual food a little disappointing. I got the hibachi salmon, and I'm not sure what factor caused the salmon to be dry but it just wasn't an impressive salmon. The shrimp was delicious though, very fresh and tender. Veggies pretty tender and fresh too, but I cant get over how overpowering the taste of salt was. The skill of the chefs are genuine though, you watch the cooking from start to finish and they do impressive tricks as well. For the price of around $50 each person I just expect the food to taste as good as the show though.
Nunia B — Google review
We got there early, around 4:45pm, because we heard there's a pretty good happy hour menu. But, the catch is that you must sit at the bar to able to participate. So, we sat at a booth, the only ones in the place, which was cool...so a very limited vibe. Joseph was our chef, who was very skilled, funny and very kind. We did tape the "choo-choo train", but the file size exceeded what Google allows on here (weird). Dinner was very good, hearty and filling with a nice touch to end with rainbow sherbert and green tea. If you enjoy less of a crowd, this was a perfect time to go. But, as we were leaving it was starting to fill up. One thing we did find odd, as we were leaving there were 3 hostesses and a manager chatting and joking, yet know one thanked us for coming or even paid attention. In the restaurant industry, that is extremely uncommon. I'm not dinging them for this slight, just acknowledging as part of our overall experience. Because when you spend $150 for an early Monday night dinner based on a drive-by, every benchmark does matter.
Steve M — Google review
We arrived with no reservation (party of 3) and were seated immediately on a Thursday evening. We informed the waitress we were celebrating a birthday. We were placed at a table with a family of 4 people. The experience was nice, but the food portion was less than stellar. We ordered 2 Emperor Feast meals with filet mignon and chicken along with 1 kids meal (chicken and steak). 2 adults received the same chicken portion size as the kids meal. We asked why our $50 plates didn't contain more food and the chef shrugged. He actually portioned out 1.5 chicken breasts for the 3 people in my family to share. Definitely not what you expect to receive when paying that price point. I informed the manager and he offered 1 additional chicken breast to be split between me and my husband. The fried rice was also burnt that we ordered. We shared 1 Las Vegas roll. It was well prepared. To end the meal, the staff sung happy birthday to another patron at our table but not me. They did, however, offer me a birthday ice cream desert. We have been to this location more than 5 times. I'd say this was the most disappointing experience to date.
Tikia M — Google review
I’ve enjoyed many Benihana locations. This location fits their standard for great service, frequent refills, and entertaining chefs that cook delicious food. When ordering, speak up about allergies as they will accommodate easily. I knocked a point because I dislike the company’s policy of forcing holiday fixed menus that are enforced on the days between Christmas and New Years. The corporation policy is an obvious lame, money grab.
Jennifer R — Google review
I love Hibachi. I've tried a few places here in Dallas area and sometimes it's a hit or miss with the food and entertainment. I've never been at Benihana, I'm not into massive chains, but that's just me. The food was actually really good. No complaints. The meat was cooked correctly and to order, the fried rice wasn't over salted with soy, everyone in our party enjoy the meal. That said, there were a few issues. The place was empty, so you'd think the service would be quick... Somehow it took 30+ minutes to get our order in. That's fine, we didn't mind. My real issue was the entertainment. The one thing I love most about a hibachi spot is the enthusiasm and skill of the chef. When it comes to this place, it was lack luster. Honestly, I could have probably done a better job. The chef was pleasant and went through the basic motions but not much more. No jokes, no tricks, nothing except the onion volcano they're required to do.. If you're looking for entertainment, this isn't the place. Especially for the cost per person. It's not cheap and you could have alot more fun for alot less else where. Won't be coming back.

Zenna Thai & Japanese Restaurant is a bustling establishment that offers a range of Japanese and Thai cuisine, along with desserts and late-night service. This popular spot has garnered praise from various sources, including word-of-mouth recommendations. Recently, I had the opportunity to try this eatery myself and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of both the food and service. Daniel, who manned the bar, provided exceptional care throughout my visit.
It's one of my favorite Asian fusion restaurants. They have good variety. The sushi isn't bad for the price. My favorite is the Thai menu (you have to askstafffor it). I believe this is one of their strong point of interest. And its great to have late hours on the weekend. The service is always excellent, and the food is always consistent.

My husband and I found this place while looking for something close to our hotel. It was a quick drive, and we arrived at a good time as it was not busy. We were seated immediately, and our server was quick with menus and took our order within 5 minutes of sitting down. My husband got the yellow tail sushi roll and a side of steamed Gyoza. Bothe were very good. I ordered the Thai noodles with chicken and #3 spice level. It was a huge portion with lots of flavor. The heat level was a little low for my liking, but I never know how they actually measure their spiciness. I would probably get a 5 next time, but all of it was delicious.

What nice little surprise this place was! Service was friendly and efficient. Food was good, no doubt. We ordered Spicy Thai basil fried rice, miso soup, chicken broccoli with passion fruit margarita & coconut water. While the soup and the food were very good but Imy friend didn’t like the drink and coconut water that much. The server and the ambience are good, family friendly. Will try again in future. They are open till 3AM so this place has always been my togo place when it’s late for dinner.

Whether you're dining in, taking out, or ordering delivery, Zenna never disappoints. When they're busy the service isn't great but it doesn't stop me from coming back. The food is "comfort Dallas Thai" and we all seem to love it. Open late, happy hour, and bomb thai tea.

A friend of mine was having his birthday dinner here and invited my wife and I. He has been telling me about this restaurant, and we've been excited to try it out. For starters, we had the Steamed Tulip Dumplings, Yakitori Chicken, and the Crab Rangoon Dip. My favorite was the Yakitori Chicken, but they were all very good. We also had the Tom-Kha Soup, and it was flavorful and amazing. We will definitely be getting it again. Next, we had the Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice. I was kinda skeptical about it, but after I tried it, I was sorry that I didn't try it sooner. Pineapple goes great in fried rice. For dessert, we had the Fried Bananas and the Sweet Black Sticky Rice. The fried bananas were good, but everyone loved the sweet black sticky rice. The whole meal was great and the service was amazing, they were short staffed and our waitress Dolly was the only one there working all the tables and she did an amazing job. We will definitely be coming back.

Super 1st trip. We had steamed gyoza then wife had pad thai w chicken. I had yellowtail roll and it was all yummo. Fantastic service.

Honestly, I wish I could give 0 stars because the manager was very rude tonight when I spoke with her. I ordered takeout. And it was soup. Unfortunately, it spilled on the way home. I called them to correct this order, but I felt lied to. The manager told me that it wasn't their fault that the soup spilled because the lid was secured on tightly. When I left the store, I left that bowl completely intact. The exact way they handed it to me. But the lid was not on securely. How can a lid be secured if it spilled on the way home? She offered me partial credit for the soup, but I honestly am very hesitant to come back. The manager in the whole conversation seemed very standoffish, and hung up on me mid call. I used to like coming to this place, but I don't feel comfortable giving them my business anymore.

The drunken noodles was sooo dry! The dynamite sushi sauce was way too watery!’ I had to call and ask did they have a new chef! I referred a friend and tonight who has never eaten here and they thought the food was disgusting! I’m so embarrassed!!!

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant

Japanese restaurant
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers a unique and fun dining experience with its conveyor belt delivering a variety of sushi and Japanese dishes straight to your table. The menu boasts additive and preservative-free options, including an array of sushi and appetizers constantly revolving by your table. You can either pay for each plate from the bar or order directly from the menu. In addition to sushi, Kura also offers ramen.
This place is amazing! I love the concept and the idea. It’s nice that you don’t have to interact with anybody if you don’t want to. And a cool little robot will bring you your drink! If you eat 15 plates, you will win a prize from the kiosk in the center! The sushi isn’t amazing, but it is not bad at all. I highly recommend that they bring back the Japanese donuts which are fantastic. But you can get something similar. Don’t just get the sushi but check out their other hand rolls and their Ramen as well!

This place is absolutely fabulous! Great selection of foods, especially Sushi. The revolving bar is truly a fun experience to have with friends or family. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out!

Such a cool place. This was the first time to visit with my son and DIL. Drinks are served by robots and lots of sushi choices. You still have a menu you can order off of from a tablet and its delivered straight to your table via a different food belt. Everything tasted wonderful and fresh. I will be back again.

I didn't expect to find something like here in America. There are similar places in Japan, and this one is pretty similar to one I've been to in Tokyo. They even have a few robots helping out. The sushi was all delicious, and reasonably priced. They have more than sushi though, as you can order ramen and some desserts via touchscreens at each station. A+, definitely recommend.
Matchewleez C — Google review
It is exactly what you would expect, not bad nigiri or rolls or ramen or anything. Nothing special, just eat your fill rapidly, without wait and even the fresh orders arrive in a minute... It's fast and fairly well priced, for the portions, considering a full roll at a bar is maybe 3x-4x more $. Each plate is like a 1/4 of a full order... I would go again... In and out in 30 minutes full...
Me S — Google review
Brought some friends who had never experienced conveyerbelt sushi before. They had an absolutely wonderful time. This is a place we always visit when in town. 10/10
Macy J — Google review
Fun place especially with kids. The revolving sushi is great. You can also order a la carte if your preferred sushi doesn't come out. The drinks are brought to you by a robot, it's kind of cute. The staff is very meh, not particularly attentive, but will help if you ask them. The overall experience is fun. You pay per plate of sushi that you grab, and then you slide through a slot and a screen above it keeps count. There are 2 sushis per plate, 1 if it's something really experience, and some rolls will have 3 or 4 pieces. Definitely a fun experience.

Seafood restaurant
Dee Lincoln Prime is an upscale steakhouse located at The Star in Frisco, Texas. It offers a modern dining experience with prime beef, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine list. The restaurant features a 6-seat sushi bar and a wide selection of tequilas for pairing. Guests can enjoy the energy of the main bar or opt for a more intimate experience in the main dining room.
Ah, a dimly lit ambiance, perhaps a touch too noir for my discerning palate, but a mere whisper of criticism in an otherwise symphonic culinary experience. Let us speak of Sebastian, a veritable maestro of service! His presence, a delicate ballet of attentiveness and discretion, allowed the flavors to unfold without intrusion, a rarity in these bustling times. And the steak... mon dieu! To declare it among the top five of my storied gustatory adventures is no light pronouncement. It was a revelation, a profound articulation of beef in its most sublime form. A symphony of sear, a rhapsody of richness, a testament to the kitchen's artistry. But the mashed potatoes, crowned with king crab? Quelle surprise! A stroke of genius, a culinary sorcery that defied expectation! The creamy, comforting potatoes, elevated by the sweet, succulent embrace of king crab. A textural and flavor composition that danced on the tongue, leaving my wife and I utterly speechless. Eatzi's, Frisco, you have etched a vibrant, indelible mark upon these Atlantan palates. A culinary pilgrimage is now in order, a return to this bastion of gastronomic brilliance!

We went for our anniversary last night and Andrew was our server. He was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and had all the answers for us about food and drinks. He made us feel very welcome. Recommendations were spot on. The food was amazing, as usual! We had a great time as we always do.

First time here, everything was almost perfect. Have been wanting to come here for a few years. Tasted great. Service 💯. Atmosphere 💯. Steak was just a little bit over cooked for my tast and same with lobster. But again, tasted great.

Geat food and service! Was a bit loud inside large dining room. We were in the Ring of Honor room that was quieter. Lobster bisque had big pieces of lobster and the Oscar sauce ony ribeye had lots of crab too!! Was cool to have sushi for appetizer and steak for entree. Chargrilled Oysters had a lot of cheese on them, was good but different from what I was used to.

It was my first time at this place. I was blown away by the quality of their service and the food! Oh, the food was amazing. I made reservations for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and he absolutely loved it! Thank you for the experience!
Selina T — Google review
I would like to preface my review by saying the wait staff is phenomenal. Extremely attentive and friendly. However everything else was pretty subpar and that was really disappointing as we had looked forward to our evening celebrating my birthday. The food tasted good but it was just lacking something. We both also ordered steaks which were NOT cooked correctly. My husband ordered rare and I ordered medium and both were well done, almost burnt on the ends. His steak was also EXTREMELY over peppered and it really took away from the flavor. The brussel sprouts and lobster Mac were good though. The atmosphere was not great either. There was a group next to us that was extremely loud and obnoxious that really took away from fully enjoying the ambiance. They seemed to be regulars as well as the wait staff knew their names. Overall i really wish we had gone somewhere else to celebrate my birthday. It was ridiculously overpriced (we spent $400 on dinner for 2) and the ambiance was not enjoyable. Like I said the only real positive about this place was the staff. I don't think we will be returning.
Bethany T — Google review
I was extremely unsatisfied with my experience. I ordered the king and bone (bone marrow, snow crab, and chips) appetizer. The chips were stale so I informed the waitress and she rolled her eyes at me. The replacement chips they brought out were crisp but bitter and burnt. I sent them back. Next, I had the au gratin on the side with the 16oz ribeye. The au gratin was just potato chunks, not the typical slices, Drenched in cheddar cheese. It was not good and I sent them back, the waiter I talked to had an attitude about me sending back the potatoes but they were seriously a low effort cheese potato casserole nothing like an au gratin (that ive had many times before). The sushi roll I got was okay, the ribeye was a bit too seasoned for my liking but otherwise good, and the lobster mac and cheese, miso seabass, and chocolate fudge redeemed the dinner. All in all expected much more from such an expensive establishment, the food was not worth the price in my opinion. Trust me I am willing to spend money for good food, but this was subpar compared to the price point and the service was disappointing.

5 Star service, 5 Star food, 5 Star ambiance: the complete package. Wow! We were here with a group of 10 and it was beyond amazing. Every bite was delicious. Presentation was flawless. We had so many apps… we were tasting each other’s mains… and we all shared at least 6 different desserts… flawless execution. Great wine, too! Incredible memorable experience from A to Z!!

Came here for my nieces 16th birthday dinner and had a lovely experience. Not only was the food high-quality and delicious but, the staff was attentive and friendly. Also, the ambience was really nice with beautiful piano music. I can’t speak to how loud it gets when the restaurant is full since it was only at maybe 25% capacity. We ordered both sushi items, the chicken teriyaki and Bulgogi – all amazing. I highly recommend Sake Toro Sushi. Thank you to Helen and the rest of the awesome staff!

Everything was delicious and reasonably priced! Our favorites were the 5 Rainbow Cucumber Roll and Shishito Peppers. The Octopus Wasabi doesn’t look appetizing or great in photos but tasted amazing. Everything was beautifully plated, the restaurant was lively for a Tuesday night, and our server was exceptionally attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

This sushi spot is incredible! The rolls were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — truly a treat for sushi lovers. The vibes were amazing, with a relaxed yet lively atmosphere that makes dining here a great experience. Service was friendly and attentive, and I also love that they stay open late. Definitely a 5‑star sushi restaurant I’ll be coming back to again and again!
Qusai I — Google review
Ambiance: There’s tons of seating in the restaurant: sushi bar seating, booths, and large party tables. The restaurant stays open very late, and the service is great. Alaskan Roll: A classic roll that’s perfect for salmon lovers. The price is standard for sushi in the area, and the portion size is generous. The roll was very fresh with great flavor. Eel Roll: This roll was good but definitely on the smaller side. However, it was still fresh, and the sauce was tasty. Chirashi: This dish was just okay. I’d recommend sticking to the rolls instead of the bowl. It came with one piece of each type of fish, almost like a sampler with a lot of rice.

Chill spot, with hole in the wall vibes. Pretty lively for a Tuesday night at 10pm. Our waitress (I think her name was Melinda) was super attentive, nice, and overall helped make the experience great, she even suggested a roll that ended up being my fav, it’s the only roll wrapped in cucumber instead of rice! The sushi tasted very fresh, and delicious. I highly suggest you try the poppers, as an appetizer!! Will def be a returning customer!

Overall great place. Melanie served us, and she gave exceptional customer service…on par with a five star dining experience. Food was authentic and flavorful. The place was quite busy as it is a popular spot, but that didn’t really detract from the experience as they seem well equipped to handle it. If you prefer a more quiet experience, I’d recommend not coming during peak hours.

Yama Izakaya & Sushi in Plano is a hidden gem! The service was excellent—especially the bartender, who was super welcoming and attentive. They serve Asahi on draft, and it’s hands down one of the best beers to pair with sushi—cold, crisp, and refreshing. I really enjoyed the appetizer skewers—grilled to perfection with amazing flavor. And if you love wasabi, don’t miss the Tear Drop sushi. It’s bold, unique, and totally worth it. Great food, great service, and awesome vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a nice sushi place where they have good deals for lunch and dinner. For dinner they had three regular rolls for $10 or one regular and one special roll for $10. The sushi itself is fresh and flavorful. We got a couple of appetizers and they were very nice. The restaurant itself was spacious and had a lot of customers which tells you how popular love sushi is. The staff were nice and friendly and took time to explain the different sushi rolls. Sushi Shack All You Can Eat in Plano is a family-owned establishment that offers a wide range of sushi and Japanese dishes. Their extensive menu includes all-you-can-eat specials, providing customers with ample choices. While the pricing could be more reasonable, the staff is kind and accommodating. The California roll I ordered had cucumber despite my request for it to be excluded and cream cheese added, but they quickly rectified the situation.
Sushi Shack is one of my favorite AYCE sushi places in Dallas. It's fantastic. The dinner AYCE menu isn't vast but it has a lot of great rolls and is only $25 a person. My favorite rolls are the Salmon avocado roll, the Alaskan roll, the Hawaiian roll, and the Gold California roll. The chefs are extremely fast at getting the orders out and the servers are super nice. The servers know me by name as they see me so often! I highly recommend this place.

I had all you can eat for $25 at dinner. You have 44 rolls to pick from at dinner and at lunch you have 28 to pick from. Sashimi costs extra. Drink was not included. The rolls I tried were good overall based on the price but not outstanding.

Came in tonight for dinner with my family—Ended up paying $100 for four of us. We usually have ayce sushi atleast once a month, so we decided to go here since it was nearby and we haven’t tried it yet. Sushi quality is not good, you get what you pay for. The sushi easily fell apart, and the sashimi quality was slimy. Our server was great though, very pleasant and quick to take our orders! Just recommend going somewhere like Sushi Kushi for better quality sushi for $10 more.
Jozell M — Google review
Very delicious food!! The 25.00 all you can eat sushi is decently priced, considering three full rolls anywhere else would cost you 40+. I got the spider roll, yellowfin, and the salmon rolls. The salmon was INCREDIBLY fresh. It was creamy; almost like a paté, a little nutty, and no fishy flavor at all. The spider rolls were crispy from the fried crab meat, and I was happy it wasn't an imitation crab. The yellowfin wasn't my favorite, but it was still a fresh piece of fish, so I'll give them credit. The menu itself was a tad confusing but it was probably my own fault for not noticing. I wouldn't have chosen yellowfin if I had realized the entire dinner menu INCLUDED the lunch. I would have gotten the Tuna. Either way, the rolls were fantastic, and I will definitely be coming back to try more. The drink selection is sodas, hot jasmine and hot green tea, cold bottled Arizona tea, they have wine selections as well, and sake. They also have a soup and salad bar, where I chose a miso house soup and my friend picked a salad with ginger dressing. The lighting is a little dim for my liking, but the decor is beautifully designed and welcoming. The server was nice and attentive. Overall, a great experience that deserves another chance to come back.

We came to sushi shack looking for some good All you can eat sushi. We saw sushi shack did AYCE, so we gave it a shot. We came in on a Monday around 4pm. Lots of seating and they had some really good music playing. I love the aesthetics of the inside. I did see reviews of the the rude lady. I'm pretty sure she served us, but I think she did a really well job and was polite. She attended to us very well, and provided great hospitality. We did the AYCE dinner for $25 before tax. I think it was a pretty solid deal and the food was really good. The only downside was that the yellowtail roll had a wrap that was a little mushy/chewy, but other than that, the rolls were bursting with flavor. The best roll that I enjoyed was the sunset roll. The bathroom was really hot from what my woman said.

Great Value and Surprisingly Good Sushi! I stopped by Sushi Shack in Plano for their lunch special and was genuinely impressed. For just $15, I got an all-you-can-eat sushi experience that offered real value without sacrificing quality. Each roll was freshly made to order, and you could really taste the difference—none of that pre-made, sitting-out-too-long feel you get at some places. Service was quick and efficient, and although one of the staff members wasn't the most friendly, everything else more than made up for it. The sushi came out fast and fresh, and for an all-you-can-eat spot, the quality was actually better than what I’ve had at more expensive sushi buffets. If you're looking to get a bang for your buck and still enjoy quality sushi, Sushi Shack is definitely worth a shot. I’ll absolutely be back!

First time here. The staff was very courteous and hospitable. The salad bar was clean, had fresh veggies, and was well kept. The miso soup was delicious. We ordered 2 rounds of sushi. Although close to 4 and last call, they let us slide and charged us lunch.
Maria G — Google review
This place is great. The food is good and great value. Normally rolls go for like $15 each but you can have as many as you want for $16 (lunch) or $25 (dinner). We were able to get 9 rolls for 2 people. Sure we could have eaten more but it was night and didn't want to be that full. One thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was the amount of rice on the all-you-can-eat sushi. It was twice the amount of rice you would normally get on some of them and that fills you up fast. I can understand the reason. You HAVE to eat the rice. Any significant amount of rice not eaten will be charged extra. So if you think you can just trim some of that rice off then you'll be charged extra for it. Also, anything you order you HAVE to finish. No leftovers. Still, if you get even just 2 or 3 rolls, it would be already worth it. This is definitely a great value even with the amount of rice. Definitely a solid 4.5 stars. Update: subsequent visits the amount of rice decreased. Not sure if it was just that first time but now this place is 5star for me.

Great atmosphere for kids. Love the Hibachi Grill. It was fun for the kids. Friendly wait staff too. The sushi side of the restaurant is great too. Love their Shoji fried rice. Might be a tad salty. We order a few rolls and they are all tasty and beautiful in presentation.

We love them, we are regulars... they know what we like and make us feel welcomed every time we show up. My boys have a blast every time we go. Best Hibachi in town! Our go-to chef is Steven, but we have had them all, and they are all great!
Marc S — Google review
Last week I went to eat with a friend on the recommendation of friends and in general the food and service were good but. a dark-skinned sushi chef approached us to offer us some courtesies and everything was fine until he started asking us if we live or work nearby and for both me and my friend it was a super uncomfortable situation, if I wanted to talk to someone I think I would have eaten at hibachi. They need to put more order in the sushi staff. In general, I don't like being asked those types of questions, the only thing missing was asking me for my phone numbers or my social networks. A very bad experience and that's why I don't plan on going back.
Camila P — Google review
For a Hibachi place, the service is ok. Chef was tired and went to cook preparing food directly without entertaining kids. Cocktails are ok and I can definitely skip it next time. Overall, food and atmosphere is okay.

Terrible experience from start to finish. The server was extremely unpleasant and made us feel unwelcome throughout our visit. On top of that, they overcharged us and even added gratuity without our consent. The food, service, and atmosphere were all disappointing — definitely not worth the money. I will not be returning
Nilesh M — Google review
We have been here twice now, once for sushi and the second time we had hibachi. We all enjoyed our meals and all the food was so fresh and tasty. The steak and scallops were cooked perfectly. The sushi didn’t disappoint, we didn’t leave any behind!

The food was delicious. Prices were ok. Environment was clean. Cook’s were plain, no excitement. But, they cooked delicious plates. Cook over looked the cooking order and gave the wrong plate to the person next to me. But, we were able to easily fix that. I am not sure if we will be re visiting this location soon. I did not get a good impression from the lady cheering us in.

If you're on the hunt for an affordable sushi experience in Frisco, Texas, look no further than Sushi Damu. This gem offers an incredible all-you-can-eat sushi option for just $28.99, making it a fantastic choice for sushi lovers. For those who prefer a more curated meal, their special menu allows you to select two rolls or one roll for only $22.
Absolutely amazing food, service, and atmosphere. The only drawback is you are limited to only 4 things each round. But you can have unlimited rounds with the AYCE option. The 4 limit can be any combination of rolls, sashimi, sushi, and/or appetizers. I've eaten sushi, literally all over the world and the Unagi here is the best I've ever tasted. it is perfect! They also have smoked salmon sushi which was also amazing!

I recently visited Sushi Damu in Frisco with a friend who is a sushi connoisseur, and she assured me this place is top-notch. She wasn't wrong. The all-you-can-eat sushi deal is fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. While I didn't love having to pay for drink refills, I understand the need to balance costs, especially with an all-you-can-eat deal. The staff at Sushi Damu were cool and very attentive, adding to the positive experience. The restaurant was decently clean and had a nice, relaxed ambiance that made our meal enjoyable. It's clear that Sushi Damu focuses on quality, which is crucial for a great sushi experience. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for both sushi lovers and those looking to try something new. Four stars!

This is hands down my favorite sushi spot! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel comfortable and enjoyable. The prices here beat every other sushi chain by far — whether you go for the all-you-can-eat option or their unbeatable deals on 2, 3, or 4 rolls, you’re getting amazing value. The quality and presentation of the sushi are always on point. Some of our favorites are the Jessie Roll, Las Vegas Roll, Coconut Tempura, Danielle Roll, and Snow Roll. The crispy rice appetizer is also a must-try — it’s delicious! What really stands out is how accommodating they are. My boyfriend has a crab allergy, and they are always so understanding and willing to remove it without hesitation. That kind of care and attention to detail makes us regulars here. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful sushi at the best prices with great service, this is the place to go!

This was our second time coming here for all-you-can-eat sushi, and once again, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! We loved every bite. What really stood out this time was the great customer service. We noticed something in one of the dishes that didn’t look quite right and weren’t sure what it was. The manager came over right away, was super nice, and explained everything clearly. He made us feel comfortable and reassured us that it was totally safe to eat. We really appreciated how respectful and professional he was. Can’t wait to come back again!

❌ When the miso is watered down and the tuna’s dyed red, you know you’ve made a bad sushi choice. 💢If you or a family member has an allergy to red dye, I suggest avoiding this restaurant completely.‼️ Only eat here if you’re cool with fake sushi. Pink rice from tuna dyed red, mystery fish that all taste the same, and miso soup that belongs in the trash. Real tuna never bleeds pink into your rice. Sushi should be about quality and freshness, and this place completely flunks that. I ditched hot dogs years ago because of red dyes, and even stopped buying salmon from Tom Thumb because it’s injected with “freshness” coloring. When I get sushi, I expect better or at the very least, real fish. Here? Nope. The rainbow roll? Skip it. The ahi tuna bowl? Buried under sauce to hide the dye. Honestly, everything tasted the same. The salmon? Who knows. Beware and eat it at your own risk. And the miso soup… wow. Usually I worry it’ll be too salty. Not here! Flawless flavorless dish water. You don’t even have to worry about a few tofu cubes, dehydrated mushrooms, or green onions. Zero freshness to be found here.
Teddy L — Google review
Don’t let the appearance fool you, this place serves the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. The exterior may not stand out, but the quality of the food absolutely does. I was blown away by the scallop roll, seriously, it was next-level. As someone who has lived in Japan and holds sushi to a very high standard, I can confidently say this place is the real deal. The flavors, freshness, and attention to detail are just as good as what you’d find in Tokyo. Highly recommend!
Eve W — Google review
Quality and well crafted rolls. By looking at how the spicy tuna , sliced fish, and how the hot green tea were served, I almost thought the establishment was run by Japanese. But it isn’t . As someone who has work closely with Japanese people for 7 years. this place shows its the closest you can get to real Japanese cuisine. I like and will be back.
Diem Q — Google review
As I was eating a roll, I felt a piece of plastic in my mouth. Showed the server that we found plastic in the sushi roll and they simply apologized and said we didn’t have to finish the remaining pieces of the roll and took away the plate. I feel like this wasn’t the best way to handle this and the customer service could’ve been better. For a Saturday night, it was pretty empty and the atmosphere really wasn’t that great felt pretty depressing. If you like loud Bruno Mars music then is your spot.

Sushi Sakana in Plano is a delightful destination for sushi lovers, showcasing the talents of skilled chefs dedicated to crafting high-quality dishes. Their specialty rolls are a must-try, particularly the Chef Special, which features an exquisite blend of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, radish, and asparagus wrapped in cucumber with their signature Sakana Ponzu sauce.
It was our first time visiting Sushi Sakana Plano, and we absolutely loved it! The sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. My wife and I having here both for take out and dine in many times. We have yet to be disappointed either by the food or the service. When we dine in the attention to us is always pleasant even when they're busy. The food is very nice they prepared. When we do take out and they've always added a very small something extra just as a bonus. This just shows the kind of quality and customer retention and customer service that there are going for. This place is great good people good place good food you should definitely go there with your family and your friends on your own just go enjoy :-)

This place is great! I just dined in for the first time and had their 2 roll lunch special. Every roll was packed full of fish and tasted very fresh. The atmosphere was great - it’s decorated super cute and everything was very clean. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. We ordered 6 rolls in total during their lunch special and it came out to around $50, which isn’t terrible, especially considering how large the portions are, how fresh the fish is and the attentiveness of their staff. They also gave us complimentary dessert after our meal, which our son loved. We will definitely go back!

Vegan here! The avocado roll was tastier than any of the other ones i’ve eaten in the nearby area. The vegetable fried rice was awesome! I’m super grateful they remade my order when there was a little bit of an issue, and they were so very sweet about it. I can only imagine how good the rest of the stuff is here. Good for anyone looking for an Asian bite around.

All of the nigiri is delicious here. The seafood is so fresh, and I like how there is less rice in each piece of sushi compared to other places. As others said, I would highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Although the lunch menu is a pretty good deal, sitting in front of the bar and being able to observe the process is awesome. You can also get inside the restauraunt a lot quicker by queuing for the sushi bar.

Excellent service! Super yummy food! We came it at 9pm (pretty close to closing) and we were met with a super friendly smile. We were very hungry and needed dinner before we drove back to Oklahoma. We all got rolls, edamame, a kids plate, and seriously the best Crab Rangoon. VERY FAST! so delicious. The kids plate was actually a great big portion (could feed an adult). Everything was fresh and we were able to watch him make our rolls right at the bar in front of us. 100% recommend!

This is the definition of a great Hole-In-The-Wall restaurant. My Family with a party of 7 celebrated a birthday here and had a great time. The staff was very friendly. We all enjoyed our meals and all the food was so fresh and tasty. The attention to detail was impressive, the detailed all shrimp and served the steak and scallops perfectly cooked. The dinners are a must but be prepared to ear a lot or have left overs. 5/5 Amazing food with good service, what more can you want?

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The sushi tasted awful and the presentation was so unappetizing it actually made me lose my appetite. I couldn’t even finish my meal, I left the food unfinished. When I mentioned the issue to the staff, their only response was, "How come you didn’t like the food?" — no apology, no concern. I will NEVER go back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone even try this place. My stomach still hurts from that meal. Absolutely unacceptable.

This place is pretty good, I have been to a lot of hibachi places, and they aren’t bad at all, there’s a certain type of Japanese food I like, and this was it. I got the hibachi steak, that comes with soup or salad, I got soup and it was good. I also got the Frisco roll, that’s was really good, the quality was good too. Their yum yum sauce, or that’s what I call it was good, it’s hard to find this type of sauce for hibachi and they have it, will be asking for two extra next time, only came with one. Service was good, I was greeted immediately, and she gave me time to look at the menu and I ordered. Got my food in a decent amount of time and went home.

I ordered from here through uber eats for my boyfriend to surprise him. The food over here disappointed soo badly. Tuna of Ahi tuna tower roll was soo nasty that my boyfriend nearly puked. It had tangy and weird taste. Their Slap ya mama roll was also very disappointing. The meat was not fresh and made everything taste weird. This was my first and last order. I have never regretted buying anything than buying food from this restaurant. If you are charging customer make sure to feed them good food.

We were craving Sushi and found Hikari sushi. The menu looked phenomenal. The dishes are identical to what is in the Menu photos. The flavor is rich. The style of rolls is close to the Japanese style. We were looking for something fried, but we couldn't find it. We ordered 2 types of Makis, then a Yakisoba and a Teriyaki. The dishes are all very delicious. good attention. The only thing I didn't like is that the clothes get soaked with the smell of oil. Except that, everything is delicious.

I informed server of my allergies. I requested my food completely plain, no sauces or seasonings or anything as these style places can typically do. Food came out, it tasted like there was something on it. I called my server over, and asked all the questions, she continually assured me there was nothing on it, no marinades or anything. I reluctantly ate it slowly. Seemed fine in the moment. About an hour later, itchy eyes, itchy swollen throat, stuffy nose. 2 days later, still dealing with the digestive side effects. My guess is they used a dirty pan, because if they directly put stuff on my food, my reaction would've been quicker and more severe. In summary, they don’t take allergies seriously! In hindsight, I should’ve not eaten it, but her confidence in it being plain was convincing.

Nikugen Steak Sushi & Ramen offers a variety of delicious dishes, including the creamy and flavorful Nikugen Shiro Udon with tempura chicken, bacon, and mushroom. The Black Garlic Ramen is also packed with flavor, although some found it slightly salty. The star dish is the gyu-katsu, where you can watch the beef cutlet sizzle in front of you. Heard good things about this place so decided to check it out on my own for lunch on a weekend. Nice atmosphere overall. Was able to get a half booth to myself. Heard great things about the Hibachi and sushi, so I ordered a calamari hibachi, which was delicious all the way around. Got a Nikugen roll which was delicious. Modern/pop/contemporary music was played overhead which helped to liven things a bit as well. I didn't think the music was too loud like others have mentioned in the past, but that may vary person to person. Had a pleasant experience overall, and all the food was delicious. Tokyo One Sushi & Grill is a delightful Japanese eatery that specializes in an all-you-can-eat seafood experience, featuring a tantalizing array of sushi, crab legs, and hot pot options. Whether you're visiting during lunch or dinner, the attentive service ensures your dining experience is seamless. Diners rave about the quality of the fish used in their nigiri and sashimi, with unique sushi rolls adding to the excitement.
Overall, it's comparable to AYCE sushi places that I've been to before. There was a wide variety of sashimi on the buffet along with many sushi rolls and some hot food items. However, it's not perfect since I had better fried rice before. Also, the desserts were delicious also especially the Oreo pie and the red bean ice cream. Overall, I would go to this buffet again.

Went here with my brothers. Good experience. The lamb chops was really good. You can taste the butter. The flavor takes you to another world! Sushi, fried rice, sashimi and other Japanese food options available! The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely return for the lamb chops!

My 1st time @ Tokyo One here in Plano. We used to frequent their Addison location before the new owners took over with what is now Osaka Grill. This restauran’ts alot like Osaka Grill but some things are better here like their higher-quality sushi & having a shabu-shabu option. Some of their desserts like the pana cotta was sublime. However, their tempura, creme brulee, & cooked entrees in general are not as good as Osaka Grill. This is priced much better for lunch @ $18.99 than Osaka’s $24.99.

Went in for dinner last night and still can’t believe we found such a gem. From the quality of the sushi and oysters to the lamb. The service of our waitress Alex being so generous. And the ambiance of the restaurant all together. Can’t wait to come back already.

Great food... And all you can eat snow crab for ~$50. The crab was good, and you just don't find all you can eat anymore. The other food was all great too. It's like Osaka, except actually good and worth the price.

Sushi/sashimi/rolls: Almost perfect for AYCE price. Very satisfied. Lamb: Dear owner, please exclude lamb chop from the menu if you can’t manage its freshness. It’s rotten meat-condition(I would say 60% rotten. It’s not 100% mushy conditions but you can tell if you try to bite and smell it). I couldn’t even finish one bite because of the smell and taste. I reported to the lady owner right away and she said “Okay, okay. You maybe just don’t like it” I like this place but had slightly disappointed on that day.

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
Asian restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers a unique dining experience where an assortment of sushi and Japanese dishes circulate on a conveyor belt, allowing diners to select their favorites as they pass by. The menu is tailored for sushi enthusiasts and health-conscious individuals, providing calorie information for each dish. While the quality of the sushi may not be top-grade, the affordability makes it worthwhile. The concept involves watching the belt for appealing options or ordering from the menu if nothing catches your eye.
Great spot when you want casual, convenient, and minimal human interaction. Apart from being greeted and seated, you can pretty much self serve, including payment. The variety on the belt is sufficient, if you don’t see anything, you can use the interactive menu above your table. The drinks are brought by a robot, my toddlers love it! The sushi is fresh and well prepared.
Raphael V — Google review
Honestly, such an experience. It can get a tad pricey but you get to try a wide variety of things you normally would have to get full plates of anywhere else and then have too much on hand. You know what I mean? This place allows you to try 1 - 2 pieces of different types of sushi. The atmosphere is great and while they have a no contact system, the waiters that manage and clean the place keep you comfortable while you eat.
Haywee H — Google review
The kids loved the conveyor belt and watching all the different foods whiz by! I like that each plate only comes with a few pieces. That makes it easier to try things I wouldn’t normally try (because I wouldn’t want to order a whole meal and waste it if I didn’t like it). Kitchen seemed cleanly. But it was kinda gross to sit at a table with a “trash can” at it. I understand the premise…..you dump your finished plates and they are counted so they know how much to charge you. But no one had cleaned the “trash can” and it was smeared with gross old food that we had to look at while eating. The kids also had fun playing on the mini claw machines in the foyer!
Christina T — Google review
Very cool place and sushi tasted great but leaving 4 stars cause the floor was sticky especially bad in restrooms and restrooms were gross!
Mary B — Google review
I really enjoyed this little place! Fish and sushi quality is impressive, and I loved all the different and affordable options they had to choose from. I also love that you can order mostly anything from the menu and they will send it out ASAP. The staff was very kind and helpful too. Their rewards program is really good too, just from eating their once and signing up for the app I got 3 $5 off coupons that I was able to use my next meal there. When you insert the plates into the receptacle, the screen shows count, and when you hit a certain amount of plates inserted, the capsule machine drops a capsule prize! I got a tayaki ice cream charm. I thought this was so fun! I wish all resturaunts had this system! Overall the vibe is so fun and cute, I cannot recommend it enough.

We have been to every Kura in the area and this was the last location to check off our list. We walked in and were quickly greeted. Employees were wearing gloves. They even had a awesome claw machine set up in the front. However when we sat down there was an obvious cleanliness issue. Our small dishes for sauce were soiled with rice and red sauces, the tables that were "cleaned" and ready to go still had food debris on them big enough to be seen from across the aisle. Our table where the plate return is hadn't been wiped out in awhile. There was food lodged in the corners on the wall of the the return. Incredibly disappointing as cleanliness has always been top notch at every Kura we had been to up until this point. We left and did not eat as we were concerned for the state of the kitchen based on the front of house.
The C — Google review
This place used to be awesome. It sucks now, will not be going back here ever. The rolls were SMALLER than before, they were not rolled properly, very messy, the taste feels bad. Listen, if you came here for years but have not in the past few months, trust me, it’s gone down hell. The bathroom smells and no paper towel. The people are nice and service is fast, but quality is not what it used to be. Very sad. Waste of money.
E E — Google review
My kids' go-to sushi spot! They love how the conveyor belt brings out all their favorite rolls, making it impossible to resist grabbing more. Plus, being able to order from a touch screen and then watch as a separate conveyor belt delivers your order right to your table adds an extra fun twist to the whole dining experience. It's a win-win for both the kids and the parents!

Nestled in a vibrant locale adorned with colorful neon lights, Madai Sushi offers an inviting atmosphere where sushi, Thai curries, and Japanese dishes come together to create a delightful dining experience. Originally a Thai restaurant, it has evolved into a beloved spot for locals since the pandemic. The warm welcome from the staff sets the tone as you choose your seating—whether at the bar or at one of their cozy tables.
One of our favorite in the area! Elliot is always super friendly, kind and with the best recommendations! They have the best happy hour! Try their hot sake, perfecto for the cold weather! Their signature rolls are delicious. Fish is super fresh! We will be back again!

This place is amazing. Everything is always delicious & the service is great. I love the daily happy hour from 4-6pm & what is included. I always bring all my friends & they become just as obsessed as I am. As you can see from the pictures, I dine at Madai often😂 Overall, it’s a 10/10 for me 😍🍣🍱

We have been going here for over 3 years and it has good parking, clean tables and bathroom. Sushi has always been big rolls and very fresh. The service is amazing. Elliot is super friendly and remembers all our conversations and has great recommendations. The pricing is very competitive to other places we have been. Everything we have tried we like and the Mango sticky rice is to die for.

We discovered Madai during pandemic. So glad they survived the unprecedented difficult time as a local owned restaurant. From only allowed to ordering takeout back then to now dining in is an option, our experience has always been great here. We have plenty of favorites: 👉 Chirashi Bowl 👉 Hamachi Kama 👉 Double Crabs 👉 Tom Kha Soup 👉 Drunken Noodles 👉 Pad Woonsen and their freshly made sushi rolls. All staffs were friendly, efficient and attentive. Sean and Elliott always took excellent care of us. If you haven't tried Madai, please do. Highly recommend.

Came here for lunch during the week. Very pleased with the food and staff. The waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what the dishes contained and how they are prepared. Seemed like a hole In wall type of place but it’s definitely a diamond In the rough.. great relaxed atmosphere and fast service. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely continue to visit this restaurant.

I'm not sure how this place has 4.6 rating, it certainly isn't the sushi. I have had some really good sushi, and really bad. Usually I trust my judgement and reviews on Google, but boy I missed the mark on this one. $37.00 for 3 rolls, I was still hungry after, the rolls are tiny, and have nothing too them. I got the spider role, and a couple shrimp tempura rolls, and I could barely find the shrimp. I would not get sushi here ever again. I can't comment on the other food they have, but given the fact the sushi sucked. I will pass my judgment on the other food based on the Sushi.
Timothy F — Google review
I came here with a friend last weekend based on his recommendation. This restaurant used to be a Thai restaurant and had either a change of ownership or expanded their menu. Anyways, when we arrived, we were welcome fairly quickly and asked where we wanted to sit. Originally, we decided the bar area but ended up moving to a table nearby. Our waiter, Sean, greeted us and provided us with 2 menus - a paper one and a more descriptive menu with pictures and ingredients. We were also served warm water with lemon in a mug. Sean was helpful in giving his recommendations when we wanted to decide our order. We ordered Veggie Egg Rolls for our appetizer. We also added on a Bonsai Roll, Cosmo Roll, Wasabi Caviar, and Quail Eggs. We received the Veggie Egg Rolls fairly quickly. It was served fresh and hot. The pastry in itself was very flaky and I enjoyed the bite of the egg roll. It went really well with the duck sauce. Next, we received the Bonsai Roll and Cosmo Roll. The Bonsai Roll had spicy yellowtail and avocado in the middle, and was topped with albacore tuna. I really enjoyed the ponzu sauce on the side of the plate and it tasted fresh. I generally lean more towards smoked salmon when I get sushi so the Cosmo Roll was interesting. The Cosmo Roll had cream cheese and smoked salmon. The exterior of the roll was lightly fried with some tempura batter so it added some sweetness. The crunch and texture was really good. This was probably my most favorite roll of the 2. My friend had never had caviar before so we originally ordered the black caviar because we noted that we indicated it was buttery in the menu. Unfortunately, we were informed that the black caviar had run out so they offered Tobiko (red caviar) and Wasabi Caviar. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of wasabi in excess so I was hesitant towards it. My friend, however, is a huge fan so we ended up getting it. I was very very surprised by the taste. The wasabi was not overpowering and it was surprisingly good when served with the nori. I’d love to give the black caviar a try. We also ordered quail eggs and that was new for me. They were served with the top taken off and a mixture of sauces were added on top. As soon as I took this “shot”, I made a face. I wasn’t sure if it was the mixture of sauces, but it was definitely an experience. If you’ve never had quail eggs, I’d recommend giving this a try. Ultimately, I plan to go here again. My experience here was quite nice, and I look forward to trying other dishes. I also have to thank Sean, our waiter, for being patient and very helpful. We received top notch service from him!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience in Frisco, look no further than Roll & Poke. This charming eatery specializes in sushi rolls and poke bowls, all served in a relaxed atmosphere that invites you to unwind. The freshness of their ingredients is truly remarkable; even those with sensitive noses can appreciate the quality without being overwhelmed by strong fishy scents.
Been coming here for years and it never disappoints! Bonus: they offer free miso soup. Ambiance: They have an extensive selection of sushi rolls, and you can build your own poke by filling out a sheet. The staff is always kind and accommodating, and the food comes out quickly. Plenty of seating available, and they also offer takeout. Poke: The variety of sauces is great! I love mixing spicy mayo with eel sauce for the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. I always get double salmon scoops, and the fish is consistently fresh and soft. The portions are always consistent.

I’m practicing one meal a day to stay healthy. My coworkers often order sushi, so my hungry nose has become very sensitive — but this time, I couldn’t even smell the fish. That must mean it was really fresh I was right I also enjoyed some tea there, and I especially liked that it was self-service, so I could get what I needed on my own. The food turned out to be more upscale than I expected. It turns out the chefs have impressive careers — they’re sushi experts who used to work by the beaches of L.A. and have now moved here, making incredibly delicious food. I just wanted to say thank you.

The build-your-own poke was perfectly portioned, and the sashimi seemed fresh. I loved the variety of topping options—definitely made for a tasty, quick, and customizable meal. I personally liked the crab meat and seaweed as toppings, and I also enjoyed the free miso soup (limited to one bowl per person)!

If you are ever in Frisco and craving poke.. do not go ANYWHERE else! This place this the absolute BEST!!! I have been going here since high school and it’s always been consistent. All through college, every time I was visiting home, I was always excited to go back to Roll & Poke. Now that I am back living in Frisco, I have tried other poke places and they don’t compare. Recently, my wife and I decided to explore Frisco Sushi 469 after receiving their menu in the mail. What a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, enhanced by vibrant murals that added character to the space. We were greeted by friendly staff who provided attentive service throughout our visit. We have been looking for a new Sushi restaurant since our old favorite place closed in Plano unexpectedly. We have been trying alot of different places lately. My wife tried this one first and then brought me in for a second opinion I have to say their food here is really delicious. Also the service was great and very attentive. Everyone of the staff was very friendly and inviting. Service was polite, fast and efficient. Everything we sampled was perfectly made and very fresh tasting. My only retraction would be their is no actual list of Beers or wines on the menu and it also appears to be sort of if ya know then ya know thing since their are no taps or bottles in view of the seating area for patrons. In fact we assumed there was none since only soft drinks and teas are on the actual menu. Our Hostess did not mention that they had beer either and I would not have know at all except I overheard a gentleman at the next table order a Sapporo (which I usually order with my Sushi) and would have been nice to have if we knew it was available. The restaurant itself is very clean and orderly and the hand painted art on the wall is spectacular. But they are in a really small suite and are very cramped for space. I would love to see what they could do with this restaurant if they where housed in a adequately sized building. Overall if you are out for a quick bite of some delicious freshmade Sushi and your in the area I'd say give them a try.

We have ordered door dash a few times and love it. Last time we had it we came in because the delivery fees are just too much. The staff was very nice and service was quick. I love the avocado& cucumber rolls. My other half likes any of them with crunch on them! My only complaint is that they are kind of big and I usually have to bit them in half. The vibe of the place is very warm and inviting. I love the murals they have!

Few days ago, we have gotten their menu from the mail. So, my wife and I decided to go try it today. Gotta say, so glad we went. We had a such amazing experience. The staff were friendly and the food was very well displayed and delicious. The sashimi was very fresh, and the best part of it was, it comes with fresh wasabi. I have only had these kind of wasabi from high end fancy Japanese restaurant like Nobu, not expecting a hole in the wall sushi place like this to have it. Very impressed. Highly recommended to everyone, and definitely going back there again.

I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. I didn’t like it enough for me to come back unfortunately. I got the lone ranger roll and popcorn shrimp volcano roll. The rolls underneath the shrimp were a bit wet and difficult to pick up with the chop sticks. They kept falling apart. In terms of flavor, I felt there could have been more. Lots of sauce on the rolls, but not enough distinct flavor

Imura Sushi & Robata is a modern Japanese restaurant known for its fresh and authentic sushi. The chefs use high-quality ingredients, including prawns and scallops flown in from Japan, and offer real wasabi with their sushi. They also have a variety of riceless rolls for those who prefer carb-conscious options. Customers appreciate the friendly service and high-quality food, with one customer even mentioning that the leftovers were still delicious the next day.
Great sushi. I've been here twice now and enjoyed both times. The restaurant is very clean and the sushi tastes freshly made. I got the Philadelphia roll and Dallas roll. Both were good, but the Dallas roll definitely is something I would order again. Packaging for takeout is good too and doesn't squish the sushi, so that's a plus. Only off thing was the taste of the soy sauce. It had a strange odor, taste, and aftertaste. Otherwise, I'd still come back for more sushi here.

This restaurant was an excellent dining experience overall! The service was attentive and friendly, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Among the dishes we tried, the chirashi and softshell crab stood out as exceptional—absolutely worth ordering. The lobster roe and complimentary salad were enjoyable, though not as memorable, and some of the other dishes fell into the “mediocre” range. One disappointment was the miso soup, which was overly salty, and the scallions were undercooked, giving them a harsh bite. On a positive note, it was wonderful to see that the chefs were Japanese, and their hospitality truly elevated the experience. They were kind enough to treat us to complimentary mochi desserts in celebration of my son’s birthday—a thoughtful gesture we deeply appreciated. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, especially sushi, sashimi, and chirashi, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. It’s a great spot for a special occasion or simply a satisfying meal!

I stopped by Imura for their lunch special, and it did not disappoint! All the lunch specials are under $22, making it a great deal. I ordered the sushi & one roll combo, and everything was fresh. The shrimp tempura roll had a nice crunch & was nicely freshly fried. My friend got the sushi & sashimi special, which was a generous portion—the salmon sashimi was thick-cut. Service was solid, and overall, I’d definitely come back to try their dinner menu!

This was our first time and loved it! We started with the shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizer. It came out really fast. It was the first day they were offering hand rolls so we tried several recommendations made by our server. Amazing! Especially the bay scallops and creamy scallops. The chicken yakitori was also top notch. We tried the steak yakitori and lacked seasoning. Not bad but not as good as the chicken. Our server was helpful and attentive. And at the end of our meal, one of the sushi chefs came over to talk to us and brought us sashimi pieces to try. This is a fabulous, locally owned restaurant that has authentic Japanese food, wonderful service and a good vibe. We'll be back!

I went here for a special occasion and had a great time. I ordered the Chirashi dinner and mixed tempura. My partner ordered the Katsudon and some Gyoza. The main dishes were exceptional. The Katsudon was generously portioned and the egg & pork cutlet had an immaculate texture. The Chirashi dinner was amazing, it included some of the best tuna toro sashimi I have had in the states and even some fish that I had never tried, such as surf clam. The appetizers were good, but nothing outstanding. The service was very quick and kind. The atmosphere was calm and warm.

Visited for a date night with one seafood lover and one land meat lover. Both of our meals came with complimentary miso soup and salad that were pretty standard but still good. I got pork gyoza, chicken and steak yakitori, and a tonkotsu bowl. I’d say I wouldn’t really get the chicken again, the steak and pork gyoza were alright, but the real star for me was the tonkotsu bowl. I wasn’t expecting the delightfully cooked egg on top, and the tonkotsu was delightfully moist with plenty of rice and a light mayo tasting sauce. A must get, especially for $16. My bf got a bowl of sashimi and was very pleased with it for the price. His favorite was the tuna toro. He even tried a few sashimis he had not yet tried. He expressed a desire to return Our service was attentive and prompt within a lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed my experience here!

First time here, and I’m already a fan! I stopped by for the lunch special and got the sushi & maki combo — super happy with my meal. The fish quality was top-notch, and I loved the touch of wasabi on top. It’s the little details! The sushi rice was spot on — you know it’s good when each grain stands out, with that perfect hint of vinegar. We came here to Sushi Nunu last weekend for lunch, thinking this was a similar place we'd been to before. But after we stepped inside, met some staff, sampled the food and realized this place is so much better! The Pork Dumpling Appetizer was ever so slightly crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth with flavor.. the Salmon Maki Roll with gorgeous pieces of salmon, cuke & avocado rolls up with chili aoli on top. My house salad looked to be a work of art, so beautiful with fresh veggies and a crisp ginger dressing. To top it off I enjoyed a pot of strong hot Green Tea! We gave 5 stars for food as everything was of excellent quality and craftsmanship. Service also a 5 from our waitress who was very polite and friendly. Atmosphere a definite 5 (and I rarely select this) but I could not find a single negative feedback. It was so clean and a fun experience to eat here, we will be back to try more dishes :)

This is easily one of the top two sushi restaurants I’ve been to in the metroplex ( and I’m from California, so that’s saying a lot) . The fish is always fresh, waiters are always kind, and service is always prompt. Some of our personal favorites are the super toro, Hama chili, and bluefin sashimi . I also love their spicy scallop hand roll . They have a special menu that rotates - definitely worth checking out . My current favs on it are the crispy ahi rice and the Akami maki . They have some great sake if you’re into that as well . If you appreciate good quality sushi , this is the place for you !
