Japanese curry restaurant
Nestled near the Holy Trinity Garrison Church, Misugo Japanese Windsor is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Japanese cuisine. This charming restaurant offers an extensive menu that includes everything from fresh sushi to comforting katsu curry. Diners rave about the deliciousness of their meals, with highlights like the Maki Set and Vegetable Tempura stealing the show. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions.
We had a nice dining experience at Misugo Japanese in Windsor! It was the first dinner we’ve had since having our newborn and was quite nice. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, and the variety on the menu was impressive. I ordered two sushi rolls and were delicious. The woman taking our order was quite attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and we’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend Misugo if you’re in Windsor!

Delicious and very reasonable price, fresh sashimi, yummy bento, staff are nice. Looks like family business, support! We have been there twice for our 3 days stay in Windsor. Highly recommended!
Miranda T — Google review
Reasonable price but not my cup, and one thing that made me felt bad before the dish ready. The chopsticks served is typical Chinese chopsticks with round head. Japanese chopsticks in point heads, it's designed for easy picking Japanese food. I wonder how serious they treat the food. I had Teriyaki Salmon for my lunch. The salmon is quite dry without the sauce; the tempura is a kind of deep fried food instead of real tempura. I ordered a cup of brown rice tea, it tasted very very mild and smelled like normal tea. Quite disappointed with the high Google star level. Personally I can say it's Chinese-Japanese style food, not Japanese food.

We ate here because of the reviews from others and we were so pleased that we did. Extremely fresh and high quality food. Such lovely people who run it. Very good value. Small but perfectly formed! I would definitely go again.
Amy G — Google review
This restaurant was a wonderful experience! The food was good and me and my family had a good time at,’Misugo!’ Definitely worth a dinner here!!
Athena W — Google review
A quaint Japanese restaurant with a very homey vibe. The food was amazing and the owners were really kind and polite.
Roselle D — Google review
Best Japanese “homemade” food I ever had in the UK. Their crab dragon is delicious, like having a party in your mouth. Even after moving out from Windsor, my husband and I go back to Misugo now and then.
F E — Google review
In my over 40 years of life; visiting Misugo in Windsor has been the single worst dining experience in my existence. On my first visit, I asked for a take away. The man in the restaurant told me that they didn’t do take aways and I should leave. I asked him if he was sure about that because their website information and info on their shop window stated that they did do take away. After a brief exchange he finally admitted that they did take away, then the manager came down and asked him if there was a problem. It was very embarrassing. I decided to visit again a few days later as the restaurant was very close to where I was working and I had a short period of time to eat before I started work. I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt as everyone makes mistakes sometimes and perhaps there was a misunderstanding. However the second experience was even worse. I was having a sit down meal with my mother and told the waiter that I would only be able to stay for a short period of time as I had to get to work, but that my mother would stay and finish the meal and settle the bill. After I left the restaurant, the manager gave me a horrified look, as if she thought I was trying to leave without paying, she then ran to the table with the bill and demanded my mother pay her immediately, despite the fact that she was in the middle of her meal. They then pestered her throughout her meal and attempted to take her plate away before she had finished eating and made it obvious that they wanted her to leave. This treatment was specifically targeted towards her and not the other customers. On top of the terrible treatment the quality of food wasn’t very good. You can get better quality sushi from a medium sized supermarket. I would highly recommend that diners avoid the restaurant, especially when the Ichiban restaurant which is right next to it has a much nicer atmosphere, fresher quality of food and a welcoming and friendly service. I would give Misugo 0 stars if that was an option.

Sushi restaurant
Miyazaki is a Japanese restaurant located in Maidenhead, offering a compact space with simple decor. The menu features sushi, noodle dishes, and sake. Visitors have praised the delicious and well-cooked food at affordable prices. One highlight is the mixed sushi platter, which received particular acclaim for its flavorful wasabi. Whether you're a local or just passing through Maidenhead, Miyazaki offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic Japanese cuisine.
A small and minimalist Japanese cafe with super fresh and cheap food. Some of the most authentic Japanese food I have had in the UK (I live in London). Service was fantastic, efficient and friendly.
Lily G — Google review
I’ve lived in Japan on and off since 2011 and can’t believe I’ve only just eaten out here today. The food is great and authentic, owners are Japanese and very friendly - what’s not to love. Very affordable too! Was a big fan of everything, but particularly enjoyed the udon, croquettes, and the nigiri. And the umeshu! Will be coming back ☺️
Jack P — Google review
The food there is simply delicious. The service is very friendly and nice. The taste is what truly makes it all worthwhile. The katsu curry was excellent, just as good as in Japan, and the sushi was fresh and full of flavor. I recommend it to everyone!
Rafal — Google review
Delicious food for an affordable price. Everything was well cooked and tasted great. There were six of us Ave we paid just under £100 for the main courses, starters and drinks. The various rice dishes were fantastic but the highlight was the mixed sushi platter for £9.95 on the photo. I have never had such a flavourful wasabi yet!
Rafa — Google review
Really unhappy with the service. My husband and I came in for a quick set lunch. The café was half empty, but when my husband ordered a set and I only wanted a drink, we were told they wouldn’t serve us unless we both ordered a set. I’ve never heard of such a rule. I even said I could just leave and let my husband eat, but they still refused. We then asked to take away instead, but were told it was “too busy” – despite half the place being empty. I’ve eaten here before and the food itself was fine, which is why I haven’t marked it down on that. But the service was absolutely appalling this time.
Jelena — Google review
Absolutely fantastic! This might honestly be the best Japanese food I’ve ever had ⭐️. Everything was very fresh and came out really quickly. The staff were quite nice and the atmosphere was relaxing but vibrant. We were 2 people and had the salmon sushi set, the chicken karaage and chicken gyozas, all for £26, which to me is excellent value for money as the portions were filling and each meal came with accompaniments. Overall a great experience and I hope they get many more customers! We will definitely be coming back!
Denisse P — Google review
One of the most authentic Japanese Restaurants outside of Tokyo. Very popular so getting a table is not always guaranteed, but they do take reservations. Nice variety and good value for money.
Dave C — Google review
I love coming here with my partner, there’s so much choice, the prices for fresh sushi are incredibly reasonable and everything is incredibly tasty! They have a great lunch menu and the restaurant is incredibly cosy and quaint as a venue. Would recommend booking ahead at a busy time of week because anyone who knows good sushi is definitely going to eat here! There’s also plenty of authentic sake and plum wine for anyone who likes a little tipple 😊

Nestled in the charming Berkshire riverside village of Hurley, Hurley House Hotel is a refined country hotel offering an exclusive boutique experience. The upmarket restaurant, led by talented chef Michael Chapman, offers fine dining in an elegant setting. 5 stars — A Fantastic First Visit!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Hurley House Hotel for the first time and was truly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented and full of flavour. The black cod with miso was a highlight, and the whole menu had a refined touch. What really made the experience outstanding was the service. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about our experience. They listened to our preferences and made us feel truly looked after. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a special lunch or dinner. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a really nice dinner for my partner’s 27th Birthday. They had a great range of vegan food across all three courses, which is rare, especially considering how nice each dish was! We were welcomed by a couple of drinks on the house. Really nice atmosphere with live music from a talented pianist. And the servers went above and beyond, making the experience really special - so massive thank you. Overall, with the great tasting food and excellent service, I thought the price was very reasonable - got a lot for your money. And the best part was that service charge wasn’t forced on you like other restaurants. It made me much happier to tip for a job well done at the end. Great job Hurley House - we will be coming back again :)

Spent 2 nights at Hurley House in hot August weather! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like VIPs. Chloe could not have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room (No.10) was exquisite. Scrupulously clean, comfortable with extra little touches as well as best quality towels, robes and linen that make all the difference and the air con was very welcome! We didn’t dine at the hotel as we had planned to visit other restaurants in the area but will definately visit again to do so.You can view the kitchen from the walk way to the rooms…fab to see the chefs working in such amazing and spotless conditions. Outside area for dining and drinks was incredible, and the Spanish guitar on the Saturday night made you feel like you were in the Mediterranean. Highly recommend
Amanda W — Google review
Very welcoming staff, and hospitality. Thank you to Chloe for all her help and welcoming. Food was good, not outstanding, but still good food. Loved the sushi, however roast was a bit disappointing for the price I was expecting to be wowed. But roast potatoes were stale, cauliflower cheese was burnt, veg was just a bit of a disappointment. Loved the magician, nice touch. Overall, gave it 5 stars as no option to vote regarding food but rest was 5/5. Ambience nice.
Poppy C — Google review
Absolutely the Pinnacle of hospitality and quality. Luka and his team we're incredibly welcoming and accommodating after my long trip in from Manhattan. Every request was greeted with a smile and a customer orientated mind set. Hotel room number one was simply extraordinary, luxurious with every amenity you could imagine, including its own private patio. I will certainly be back soon!
Gregor H — Google review
We had a work away day in summer 2024 and were extremely well looked after. The meeting space was exactly what we needed; clean, comfortable, well equipped and the staff were attentive. Our lunch and refreshments were also delicious. Would highly recommend.
Heather C — Google review
If we could give this 1000 stars, we would. We came for the Omakase experience and made a night of it by staying over. From the second we arrived the service was excellent. The staff are really friendly and attentive but relaxed and professional. The perfect balance of being on hand if you need anything but giving you space to enjoy your time. The Omakase experience was by far the best food experience we have ever had. The food was beautifully curated, flavours and textures were perfectly balanced and our chef (Chef Suran) talked through the ingredients and interacted with us in a wonderfully understated way. It was amazing to watch him put everything together, like watching artwork. You can tell how much passion and pride he has in his creations! The sushi and sashimi was the best I’ve ever had, and the hot dishes were incredible too! We had 12 courses and that was plenty - we finished feeling full but not uncomfortable, and learnt lots along the way! Huge shout out to Chloe who was instantly friendly, really personable and has a fab sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble. The bar team was also excellent - by the end of the evening we were ordering cocktails that weren’t on the menu and they prepared them perfectly. Thank you so so much for having us - we are going to make this an annual thing and see what Omakase experience we have next year! Holly & Dave, Room 1 🤩

YO! Windsor is a vibrant chain eatery that offers a diverse selection of Japanese dishes, including vegan sushi and spicy seafood ramen. The unique feature of this place is the keitan conveyor belt that delivers food directly to your table. Customers can also order from the open kitchen. Visitors have praised the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and fast service. Additionally, YO! Sushi Windsor hosts a sushi school where guests can learn to make sushi in a fun and interactive environment.
their sushi school is such a fun date night activity! 🍣🍱🍚 we booked in (one normal ticket & one veggie) - absolutely LOVED it! Veronica was an amazing teacher, you get to eat as you go and make as much as you want! Such good value for money, free drink & dumplings included too! Can’t recommend enough!

Yo Sushi Windsor Service was really slow, and the food quality didn't meet expectations. Had to call the staff multiple times before they come and ask what we needed. Simple canned drinks took 20mins to be served. Unwashed cutlery🤦🏽‍♂️ and the response when I asked about it “that’s all we got”. Disappointing experience overall at Windsor Yo Sushi.
Srini C — Google review
Love Yo sushi. This one on the first floor just inside Daniel's department store. Quick clean and very tasty. 🥑🍣
Paul J — Google review
Generally very good, friendly staff, lovely food. Would recommend going on Blue Mondays as I think the food is overpriced otherwise for the portion size. But definitely a favourite.

We were visiting Windsor, and we chose to Yo! Sushi to have lunch, what a right choice! Very welcoming staff, one of the best sushi i ever had! Many thanks guys for the hospitality! I truly recommend!
Dinarte F — Google review
As much as we were looking forward to a lovely meal at this restaurant, we were ultimately disappointed by our experience. While the food was decent, we simply cannot justify the exorbitant prices, such as £6.95 for just four slices of salmon. We found it difficult to reconcile paying such a high price for a dish that we could easily make at home for a fraction of the cost. On top of that, the restaurant was almost empty, which did not create a particularly inviting atmosphere. We couldn't help but wonder if other customers felt similarly about the prices, or if the restaurant's unusual self-service ordering system may have put them off. While we appreciate the innovative approach of ordering via a website while in the restaurant, it was not without its faults. We found it cumbersome to use and believe that an app would have been a more practical and user-friendly option. Despite being one of the few tables in the restaurant, we were disappointed that the waiter staff never came to check on us or ask if we needed anything. It was frustrating having to flag them down to get their attention and ask for assistance. To make matters worse, even when we were ready to pay our bill, it was a mission to get the attention of the waiter staff. We felt that we were being ignored, and it left a bad impression of the overall service. All in all, while we enjoyed some aspects of our meal, we regret to say that we will not be returning to this restaurant due to the high prices and lackluster experience.
Renier J — Google review
I recently visited this place. We found a table really easy but it was a Wednesday evening. Quiet atmosphere that allows conversation to take place. We ordered online scanning a QR code which was quite fast. The food is delicious and there is a big variety of choices. So far I have tried different things and I liked them all. It is a really difficult thing to distinguish which one is my favourite. The members of staff there are friendly and the service is fast. Definitely recommended if you see yourselves near there.

Ichiban is a sushi restaurant in Windsor that consistently ranks highly on TripAdvisor. The quality of the food and the variety of options make it a great place to enjoy sushi and Asian cuisine. The servings are big, so you can easily share some dishes, and the prices are very reasonable.
What a fantastic little Japanese restaurant. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The menu was excellent with a lot of choice. We had veggie spring rolls to start, spicy king prawn noodles and a vegetarian bento box. It was so so tasty. There was a good selection of drinks.
Paul E — Google review
salmon sashimi has a good texture. The chicken katsu don is very good. Was expecting the egg to be more watery, but it turned out to be over hard which makes the don too dry. The eel don is nice too, however the sauce can be a bit too sweet.
Samsam — Google review
Ichiban is a Windsor staple, and where the food and service never miss. I’ve been eating here for a good few years, and when I go visit my dad (who lives down the road and eats here very frequently) we always have a meal at Ichiban. The staff are wonderful, fast, friendly and just incredible. The food is divine (we always have a dragon roll as they are otherworldly), I’ve had many dishes here and have never been disappointed. It’s the perfect restaurant for a meal with family & friends, for a date or even a solo trip.

My favourite restaurant in Windsor! The cuisine is authentic and always comes out fresh, I’ve coming here for years and menu has always been great with a lot of variety. Will keep coming back as the staff are friendly and always take time to say hello. It does get very hot in there especially at peak times but atmosphere is good.

Kokoro Maidenhead is a place with mixed reviews, where the quality of the food varies. The Chicken Curry with Rice is generally delicious and highly recommended, rarely resulting in a negative experience. However, when it comes to dishes like sushi or katsu, it's a hit or miss situation. Recent visits have not been as satisfactory in that regard. Despite this inconsistency, the restaurant still deserves a four-star rating due to its amazing curry and occasionally delightful sushi options that leave you feeling satisfied.
Very very delicious food. I have been to a few kokoro in the surrounding area and more including Reading, Basingstoke, Windsor and also some in London. This one has thoroughly impressed me though, there is a wide range of food to choose from that is fresh and I could hardly choose. The staff were very friendly and in particular this lady with glasses who works in the evenings when I came in after a long shift of work. She was so kind and made the trip even better that I had to write a review. This is the best Korean/asian food you will get around, so I highly recommend.
Isaac ( — Google review
Amazing food at a cost little outlet! Value for money! Great portions! Flavorful! Amazing service, special shout-out to Adrian and his colleague and Emily! Keep up the amazing standards!
Imasha F — Google review
The service was terrible from the very beginning. The lady in there didn’t even say hello, she was just rushing around in the kitchen and suddenly asked us if we were ready. I asked for a mix much, and instead of serving politely, the first thing she did was warn me about the price, which was completely unnecessary since the prices are clearly displayed on the wall. When she served my food, the portion of chicken was extremely small. I asked for more chicken because I know what a normal portion should look like,I’ve been to many Kokoro branches before. Instead of simply adding more and charging me, she dismissed me by saying: ‘I’ve already given you a generous amount, stick with the generous amount I gave you.’ That is not acceptable. She isn’t giving me anything for free;I am paying, and if I want to pay extra for more chicken, I should be able to. On top of all this, the way she spoke was rude, almost like being barked at in the army, and to make matters worse, the food was cold. Absolutely disgusting service.”
Ana V — Google review
My favorite Kokoro! I visit lot of Kokoro but this one has the best juicy katsu chicken and I love the spicy tofu which has good soft texture marinate lingering to the chew.
Ji-Eun O — Google review
I visited here yesterday and ordered the large Sweet Chilli Chicken with rice. I have to admit it was a generous portion and was edible. However, I also have to concur with some of the other reviewers when they say that the food here is quite different to a lot of the other Kokoro branches. The Sweet Chilli Chicken dish is usually a lot darker, perhaps due to the batter and thicker sauce present at other branches within the chain. I was assured when purchasing that they use the same recipe as other Kokoro outlets. Even if the ingredients used are may the same, the quantities included certainly are not. I showed the person behind the counter photos of the dish taken by other people, available to see on google photos and through other media. She told me the visual difference is probably due to lighting. I showed her that all the photos were pretty consistent in representation of the dish, which contrasted with their own, but they seemed nonplussed. I have included photos so that those who are familiar with the dish from other Kokoro branches can judge for themselves. I would usually recommend Kokoro but cannot recommend this particular branch at the time of leaving this review.
Gareth — Google review
I usually like kokoro but to my disappointment the taste is different from their other franchises. I ordered the sweet chilli chicken but it was not sweet at all and breading was not done properly. Beef was a bit hard for me to chew. Salmon is recommended.
Sharon J — Google review
Sushi was really nice and more reasonably priced compared to others such as YoSushi. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they had no gluten free soy sauce, they stated it included edamame and there was one included in each box and lastly the avocado was quite hard!

Jubi Pan Asian has been a lovely experience. The food was simply fantastic and perfectly made. The best sushi I have had in a while. I recommend the katsu curry - it is nothing short of divine. I will be ordering again. Thank you for such excellent food.

The soft shell crab was great. So was the dumplings and chicken pieces. The poke bowl portion was generous, but lacked in the amount of sauce provided for the rice. One of the sushi came without wasabi, which was either a mistake or quite unfair as it was the less expensive one. Overall nice but bit on the expensive side for a take away

Sushi is amazing. Favourite place i’ve ordered from so far !! The delivery was so fast, everything came in shape, e.g no sushi was broken, the rice to actual meat ratio is amazing, they don’t rip you off by giving too much rice and not enough substance. Lovely! Will be ordering from again anytime I want good quality food. What you pay for is truly what you get here and more. We ordered this package they offered for two with lots of sushi and it really filled us up. Cant wait to try the poke bowls! I love supporting small businesses like this, from someone’s home is just really sweet to me and you can definitely taste the authenticity and effort !!

Ordered some varieties of sushi yesterday and can genuinely say the sushi was amazing! I got it as a treat for my partner who lived in Japan for a few years and he said it’s the best sushi he has had here in London. Thanks so much!

OK, so let's get the elephant out of the way first. The food is prepared in the garage of a house on a residential street, which is a bit odd... However, look past this fact for a second and you will find truly excellent Japanese food. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is second to none. I had the spicy salmon poke bowl and it was really great. We will be getting food from here again and I strongly encourage others to give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Not tasty at all. Chicken Thai green curry , very sweet, beef ramen broth really not tasty , sushi poor quality , custard pancakes - soggy. Don’t waste your money here. Overpriced and really poor quality

Perfect takeaway! Food was amazing, well prepared, tasty and very good portion sizes for the price. Will be ordering again from Jubi! As someone has previously stated, it is collection from side part of a house, just look for the wooden doors with No 18 above. Please do not let this put you off and be open minded. It's a wonderful establishment with great friendly chefs. You will not be disappointed if your are Sushi/Ramen food fan.

Really enjoyed the sushi - fresh, authentic and delicious. Now have to hold myself from not ordering too often.

This Japanese restaurant, Cafe, offers a relaxed dining experience with outdoor seating and a menu featuring sushi, noodles, and cocktails. The interior is inviting and the staff provides attentive service. Dishes like Chicken Inasaal and Chicken Katsu curry are highly recommended, while the salmon dragon rolls are described as some of the best sushi ever tasted. The friendly staff and delicious food create a welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy Filipino flavors alongside traditional Japanese cuisine.
After a long day sightseeing, we headed towards Intoku. We did not have a reservation but we were warmly welcomed in. Megan answered all our questions and gave fab recommendations. The food was DELICIOUS! Thank you to all the kitchen staff and massive thanks to Megan who took care of us and made our day out in Windsor one to remember. I’d recommend Intoku to all 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

The new location looked pretty and inviting (although, I preferred the original location near the Castle as it was more quirky and different). Service was a little slow, even though it wasn’t busy. We ordered different teas but server couldn’t tell us what type of teas they were. Also the only ones available were Green tea in the end. Food was average for the price and the rolls were cut quite thinly and without finesse. Taste was average. Staff were friendly but could have been more attentive. Overall, nothing exciting

Been here twice now and the food and service here has been amazing! The staff are very welcoming, sweet and very helpful! The chicken being halal was also a big plus for us, and opened up more variety to pick from and it was just really tasty. I really love going there and will be going again <3

We visited today and it was 10/10! Lovely setting, wonderful food all cooked fresh & great friendly service. We also came with our 6 month old and the staff were very attentive & had high chairs and baby changing available. So pleased we gave it a try! Will definitely be back soon. (We ate loads but we were so hungry I forgot to take photos of the rest! 🤣)

We had a lovely lunch at this beautiful restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The chef came out to talk to customers which I love! The food was very tasty, cooked with fresh ingredients. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The prices are higher than the average but its worth the tasty fresh food and the service. I will definitely return.

Popped in as the free samples of karage chicken on the door were delicious. What a lovely treat! The food was great - had more of the chicken and some garlic edamame, then a sushi boat (with excellent fish) and a salmon poké bowl for one. Lovely cocktail too, and the service from Amelia was impeccable as well.

Lovely japanese place selling lovely sushi and japanese food (some pan Asian). I really liked the quality of the food and plating. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant was great too. I was not very impressed by the staff though. The three girls were chatting away and it took some time to get their attention at the time of making the order and while getting the bill. Only 3 tables were occupied in the restaurant at this time in the afternoon. Also the girl who served us did not know the ingredients of the dish very well.
