The granita al limone was refreshing and natural. The brioche with gelato was good but you can find better options. The cannolo was outstanding. I was expecting a higher experience considering the famous. I’m nosy so sure if it’s worth the hype. The good point there was no waiting time. The service was quick but I had to stand up three times, asking menú, asking a knife and the check; but extra charged “for service”.

We were hesitant to try anything here because of all the negative reviews but wow the desserts here were better than anywhere else in Sicily. Not too sweet, creamy, and made with quality ingredients. I ordered a cappuccino with almond mouse (they sell espresso with almond mouse but they allowed me to put it on a cappuccino). The mango cake was especially delicious as was the Cassata.

Amazing taste of all deserts and granita. Nowhere else we have tried so good granita, now I understand that in video what they were speaking about real granita. 11 out of 10!

Nice place with seating inside and outside. The decoration is refined and original decoration. The inside seating in an air-conditioned room is convenient, especially in a very hot day. We got granita tasting trio and ricotta pistachio gelato. They were tasty. You can taste the authentic products. We also got for takeaway Cassatina and Pistaccio e arancia. They were not good ! The Cassatina was extremely sweet and Pistaccio e arancia was ??? The service is very average… however the lady in charge of pastries and sweet is very nice and professional.

If you go to Sicily and do not take time to visit the charming city from Noto, then you miss something! Caffe Sicilia is a unique place where the pastries are made for 4 generations and have the best raw products to make them tasty as it should be. We tried many things but the Cannoli deserved a special mention. While in Sicily I tried a lot of them and I tried can be better that this one! Atmosphere is great and Staff extremely friendly!

The low rating is just for the price-quality ratio. The granita was alright, but nothing life-changing at all. And it costs 7 EUR!!!! That's just wild. I understand that you are seated at the table and in the center of Noto, but it's just crazy to charge so much for a granita (even crazier considering that it's just average quality). The staff was fast and nice, and the place seems really touristy and organized. Not my style, though.

The place is beautiful. Right in the centre of Noto. The tables outside are beautiful too. However the croissant with chocolate they serve is not the real chocolate (made of chocolate powder and starch and then filled inside the croissant). I was extremely disappointed, mainly when you pay 20 euros for.a granita, 2 coffees and the croissant. We are not coming back and we don’t recommend. There are better places in Noto for a sweet breakfast.

We participated in a guided tour at Antica Dolceria Bonajuto, where we learned all about the process of making their chocolate, from start to finish. The tasting session was amazing – each chocolate was rich and full of flavor. We also enjoyed shopping in the charming store, picking some delicious treats to take home. You have to visit this place if you’re a chocolate lover. It’s a little bit different than the chocolate that people are used to, but it’s still great. The staff if very friendly, gave us chocolate to try before buying and told us how it’s made. You can also get cannoli here. The most perfect cannoli I have ever eaten, crispy on the outside and soft not too sweet cream on the inside. Variety of flavours to choose from.

A must go for a chocolate lover! Chocolate in Modica is different, they make it as ancient recipes mixing only cacao paste and sugar, therefore it doesn’t melt in the mouth but create a totally different experience! It tastes wonderful! And with many different flavors! The cassatina allo cioccolato is very very good!

After a long cycle and facing yet another hill ahead, I was grateful to stumble across this spot in Modica. Their freshly made cannoli were an absolute treat — crisp shells filled on the spot with rich, creamy ricotta that hit the perfect balance. Just what I needed to recharge before the next climb. A little slice of Sicilian heaven, and a must-visit for anyone passing through.

A bit of a loud and confusing place, with multiple lines and a lot of shouting to order. But it works, and you get your order very quickly. We ordered a cold chocolate milk and a chocolate granita. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate milk, and I found the chocolate granita to be fine as well. For my girlfriend's taste, it was slightly too bitter, but for my taste, it was good.

We came here for the chocolate Making tour, as well as to buy Modica Chocolate. We would highly recommend, the tour is very informative, hands on (such as cracking a cocoa bean and tasting it) as well as getting a behind the scenes look on how the world's most loved bean is harvested. The chocolate is also delicious. Tour offered also in English which was very clear and detailed.

Stopped by Maria Grammatico’s pastry shop in the morning while walking around Erice. It’s a small, quiet place with outdoor seating and a nice view — perfect for a cappuccino ☕ and something sweet This is a well-known bakery that’s been around since the 1960s, when Maria started it after learning how to make traditional Sicilian pastries from nuns I had a cassatina, a slice of ricotta cake, and a few small sweets. All were good, though a bit too sweet for my taste — but that’s typical of Sicilian desserts 😅. I noticed the place gets quite busy later in the day, with people lining up and buying pastries to take home as gifts A lovely local spot that’s definitely worth trying if you’re in Erice 💛.

Simply the best sweets in Sicily. Whatever you will pick you will be shocked by it's taste! Prices are OK, usually there is a line to get them but it's totally worth unless it goes out the shop which means like 1h + of wait. But if you got time do it, it's worth. Genovese is the main sweet here, but go ahead and try each one.

Delicious pastries and coffee. Beautiful seating in an atrium garden. Tree provides shade. Pricing doesn't hurt your wallet. Staff helped me pick pastries. I give this place an autistic stamp of approval.

The desserts here were amazing – the pastries were still warm and incredibly tasty. However, I was quite surprised that the cappuccino was served in a plastic cup. I’ve never seen hot coffee like that before, and unfortunately, it was more like warm milk without any foam. A great place for sweets, but the coffee experience needs improvement.

Great option for pastry while in Erice. We were overwhelmed when we came in. It’s small and there are so many options, but we sat in the garden and our server came by and helped us pick out some things to try. Very cute and tasty!

Recommended by a local to come here for Maria’s famous genovesi - 2 minutes of pure heaven as I devoured this warm, buttery biscuit filled with vanilla cream custard! Wish I had the language to let them know how much I enjoyed this in Italian 🇮🇹

Delicious pastries! The tiny gelato sandwich and delizia pistachio cake were so tasty. And the cannolicchio was perfect! Great coffee too.

After trying many cannolis in Palermo, I can confidently say this was by far the best. In addition to their amazing cannolis, we sampled a variety of mignons and an iris — and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful too, filled with local workers grabbing a quick bite and kids returning from school, which made it feel genuinely authentic. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We had food elsewhere in Palermo that was half as good for twice the price. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting — I honestly wish I could eat here every day.

While the cakes themselves were nice, the man who served us was rude. Obnoxious clearly into his phone more than serving us and being somewhat stuck up with my friend's best attempt to speak Italian seemingly consistently misunderstanding which cake she wanted, one or two pieces of. He then proceeded to play with his phone as he was half wrapping our package and generally seemed just annoyed at our existence. The taste of cakes was definitely not worth the attitude that we were given in this place

Pasticceria Cappello is truly the best sweet shop in Palermo. The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and I absolutely love it. Every time I stay in Palermo, this place makes me fall in love with the city even more. I ended up going there every day to enjoy their delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended!

Local cafe/pastry shop. Came here to check if it’s actually the best cannoli in Palermo. Maybe in Palermo it may be the best but i’ve had better. Everyone may like their cannolis in many ways. Their cannoli was different. Did taste authentic. Coffee was good. Service was good, staff were friendly. The best part is this shop is local so the prices are not that expensive. 1 cannoli & a coffee for 2.5 euro! They have alot of variety I would visit again! Highly recommend.

After witnessing the 12 o'clock bells ring at Cathedral Messina, we found our way to this wonderful shop for a traditional sicilian coffee granita with brioscia. The whipped cream, icy coffee crystals, accompanied by the perfect brioche was a nice way to cap off a quick few hours in the port! We also tried the cannoli, and its the best ive ever had! That same whipped cream is so enjoyable, and the pastry shell is light and crispy! I also had to try the life-like Cherry pastry! Everything is delicious and thoughtful. The barristas are all so kind and helpful! We will come back!

During our trip to Messina, my daughter and I visited Pasticceria Irrera 1910, and it was a delightful experience. The service was quick and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. We tried a variety of traditional Sicilian pastries and drinks: Cannolo Siciliano: The classic, with a perfectly crispy shell and rich, creamy filling. Brioche: Soft and slightly sweet, perfect with granita. Maritozzo con Fragole: A delightful pastry with cream and strawberries. Iris al Forno: Baked pastry filled with sweet cream, lightly dusted with sugar. Granita al Pistacchio con Panna: Refreshing pistachio granita with whipped cream.Espresso: Strong and well-balanced, complementing the pastries perfectly. A tip: most items can be ordered in small (piccolo) or large (grande) sizes, so you can sample more. Everything was prepared to perfection, making this a must-visit spot in Messina for lovers of Sicilian pastries.

Yes…visit here for fantastic pastries. A friend who grew up in Messina recommended this place. It is very popular and was busy on a quiet Sunday. All the other surround shops were closed except for this place. We had the Fragola, Cannolo Ricotta and feta torta Piccola. All at my friend’s recommendation. Each were delicious and different. I gave up trying cannoli, even from some famous shops in Boston, because none come close to Sicilian cannoli. I’m ruined because they are so beautifully prepared here. I don’t know if I will return to Messina, but if I do I will return to Irrera. Oh yes, and all the desserts and a water totaled $13 Euro. A steal.

If you are in Ortigia, you cannot miss Pasticceria Artale. Their cannolo is simply unforgettable – the shell is perfectly crisp and delicate, while the ricotta filling is creamy, fresh, and full of authentic Sicilian flavor. It’s the perfect balance of texture and taste, not too sweet, just perfect. The pasticceria itself is welcoming and full of tempting pastries, but the cannolo truly stands out as one of the best I have ever had. The staff are friendly and take great pride in their craft, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

My favourite granita I've had in Sicily so far! The brioche was so fresh and warm. The staff was lovely and suggested I try a mix of almond and pistachio - delicious.

Good breakfast, nothing mind-blowing. The cannoli are massive, maybe even too much (I’ve never seen them so big to be honest). Everything was good and prices were fair, but it just felt like a normal breakfast you could have anywhere in Italy, nothing really special.

If you want to eat traditional breakfast, this is the right place. 2 capuccinos, brioche, granita were all together 8 euros. Best granita in Ortigia!

I tried canollo here, and it was delicious! One of the best, or maybe even the best that I've had in my life. I've been to Italy many times and I like canolli, so I tried them a lot. Here the ricotta filling was so fresh!

Really good place, Sicilian food, great dishes, and full of flavor. Good variety of wines, great staff and very good location. Very good caponata, good mussels, and very good pasta. Olive oil amazing to enjoy as appetizer. Definitely a very enjoyable lunch on the terrace. Highly recommended.

We were visiting Catania and wanted an authentic experience. We tried this place based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Nice atmosphere and great food selection with some authentic Catanese options. We had the fried sardines as an appetizer and eggplant Parmesan which were amazing. The for main course one of us had steak filet, incredible meat; the local pasta with pistachio cream and bacon, the he seafood risotto and finally the Catania pasta with anchovies and olives. All dishes were fantastic.

Some of the best food we've found in Catania. Beef, it's what's for dinner! Fillet and entrecote (ribeye) both excellent. Nice sides, really good wine by the glass and decent bottle selections. Service is a bit slow, but probably not out of character for the area. The atmosphere is absolutely top notch. Really hard to think of a better place to sit and have a leisurely lunch. Plus, they have wifi.

We absolutely loved Vuciata in Catania! The restaurant is right in the middle of a lively market street, which makes the atmosphere vibrant and fun. We tried the seafood risotto, mixed fried fish, spaghetti with shrimp and fennel, and a tiramisu. Everything was incredible. The flavors were fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of character. It was so good that we came back a second day just to enjoy it again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Catania and craving amazing italian food!

I am pleased to the waiter who grants my wish for the dish that I was dying to try to and was not on the menu which is swordfish with eggplant and mint a very authentic sicilian dish that blew my expectation. We enjoyed the pastas we had and loved it. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

3.5 ⭐️ Lunched in Centro fish & market area, had the Octopus starter-meat a bit tough, Sea Bass-not much flavor. Friend had swordfish carpaccio-no flavor, a steak cut and rated it a 3, hard to cut, pulled out veins 😵 a lot of fat. Staff was good but didn’t check back for a second round of drinks. Multiple seating areas inside and street.

The pistacchio pasta was really good! The canoli was the best I ever had! Super recommend!

We had the opportunity to visit Catania this trip and stayed at Liberty Hotel. As a welcome gift they had this almond cookies for us in the room. Their cookies filled with marzipan and they were absolutely delicious. We went to the store and is a beautiful setup. I can't remember the name of the girl that took care of us but even with the language barrier she was pleasant, friendly and great customer service. Everything she gave us to try was delicious. We got some cookies to bring back home to our daughter and 20 days later the cookies are still fresh and taste delicious. If you like sweets I highly recommend this place!

Excellent gelato, maybe the best in town, especially dark chocolate and hazelnut. Other gelaterias pale in comparison. Nice homemade almond milk. Very friendy and kind servers.

This review was saved by the samples of almond cookies (croccatino di mandorla). I think it might have been better if I came earlier in the day. Like others have commented, there was a single employee and they just plucked a chocolate coated Cannolo from the fridge. Unfortunately my Italian wasn't good enough to ask for a fresh one. The Cannolo itself wasn't bad. The ricotta had good flavor but I didn't love the chocolate-covered interior. I know the covering is there to prevent the biscuit from getting soggy but this wouldn't be a problem if they were filled on demand.

Best cannoli in Sicily, only here for a short stay but will make sure to return this same trip just to taste this pistachio perfection one last time!

We had high hopes for this place but we got disappointed. While other places in the vicinity were full and crowded this one was almost empty. This is a lovely cafe located right next to the church of La Martorana. There are several outdoor tables surrounded by shrubs with each table having a real plant which is nice. We popped in for a light breakfast of a croissant and Danish style pastry. It has an extremely varied menu of coffees of which I chose Pistachio which was fantastic. 😋 There is also some choices of teas too. There is, of course, a large selection of food to accompany the coffees, though not all were available on our visit. Service is fine.

Great for a hearty protein filled breakfast with for somebody who has gluten free requests. My breakfast was salmon , eggs, veggies and cheese and was a perfect day to start a busy day of biking and walking. Many other places only have pastries so I was happy to find this place! And they open early.

I recently visited a charming café in Palermo, and I must say it was a delightful experience . The coffee was absolutely excellent, rich and perfectly brewed . I tried the pistachio-filled croissant, which was simply wonderful, and the iris with ricotta was equally delicious . Considering this is 200m away from one of the busiest streets in Palermo, this spot it SO quiet. We stayed in a small apartment around the corner and this became our regular coffee/croissant spot. I can HIGHLY recommend the coffee and pistachio croissants - and if you’re lucky you may bag a table in the street under the lemon trees 🍋

One of the best granita we had in Sicily. We visited this place several times and tried different flavours and other desserts. Staff was nice although the place was always very busy every time we visited.

We had the arancino with ragu and the one with pistachio, a pistachio croissant and raviola grande fritto with ricotta. The arancino were good and warm, very filling, the croissant was not fresh but the pistachio cream was nice, and the star of the show was the raviola, very good and sweet, you have to get the fried one, much better than the baked one. Quite cheap, Overall a good experience.

More than just Pastries, coffee cocktails. They serve a very nice variety of hot and cold food. Go inside and take a look at the display. Everybody wants to sit outside many tables and see Catania, slower service. Inside is a very nice seating, quick service and access to the bathrooms. Dolce got Baba was pre-soaked in tray of syrup to much, you wanna a Baba with syrup applied fresh to order. cafe macchiato perfect. We came here at the end of our food tour for some granita- amazing!!! I had chocolate and almond. That chocolate granita… best granita of my trip. I tried it at a few other places and eventually had to stop because it was never nearly as good and I just felt like I was wasting my money after a while. They had lots of other delicious looking treats that I wish I could have tried too!

Morning coffee and a croissant. A wonderful view of the surroundings, friendly staff. Since the coffee was excellent, I ordered another one. When paying the bill, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable price. Wonderful! I was there again at the evening just for some dessert and a glass of wine and i get ful table of good food. This is for sure my fav place in Catania!

Just had toasted almond and mulberry granita to take away and it was good. Mulberry has pieces of fruit in it which we enjoyed. Tastes somewhat like blueberries. Almond has pieces of toasted almonds which we also like. A tad to sweet for me and a bit watery compared to others, but everybody is different. Perfect location with nice view. Staff was not the friendliest though. Edit: bought the almond paste/marzipan. Two of the smaller pieces that on the packaging said it was 300g per piece. I questioned the weight but the waiter told us it is 300g. So we bought the two. At home I weighed the pieces because I was still suspicious and we are 150g short in total, which is 25% less than what I paid for. Feels like fraud and this is far beyond artisan fluctuations as I am sure a pastry maker does have a kitchen scale to weigh the paste before wrapping.

Prime location in the piazza, great for people watching, we tried granite and brioche, they were fantastic! Prices were very reasonable and fast, friendly service!
