Caffè Sicilia, a renowned establishment in Noto, is a must-visit for those craving authentic Sicilian pastries. Featured on Netflix's Chef's Table Pastry Season, this classic café on Corso Vittorio Emanuele offers an ideal setting to savor traditional treats like cannoli and cassata. With a history dating back to 1892, it stands as a symbol of Sicilian pastry-making excellence under the guidance of Master Confectioner Corrado Assenza.
Delicious granita, good coffee, and amazing brioche. Very short wait for a table inside. The lemon granita was as fresh as you imagine it can get, and the mulberry one was also great. The star was the brioche, which was pillowy, fresh, and just so good!
Malte H — Google review
The granita al limone was refreshing and natural. The brioche with gelato was good but you can find better options. The cannolo was outstanding. I was expecting a higher experience considering the famous. I’m nosy so sure if it’s worth the hype. The good point there was no waiting time. The service was quick but I had to stand up three times, asking menú, asking a knife and the check; but extra charged “for service”.
Brenda T — Google review
We were hesitant to try anything here because of all the negative reviews but wow the desserts here were better than anywhere else in Sicily. Not too sweet, creamy, and made with quality ingredients. I ordered a cappuccino with almond mouse (they sell espresso with almond mouse but they allowed me to put it on a cappuccino). The mango cake was especially delicious as was the Cassata.
D K — Google review
Amazing taste of all deserts and granita. Nowhere else we have tried so good granita, now I understand that in video what they were speaking about real granita. 11 out of 10!
Ivan O — Google review
Nice place with seating inside and outside. The decoration is refined and original decoration. The inside seating in an air-conditioned room is convenient, especially in a very hot day. We got granita tasting trio and ricotta pistachio gelato. They were tasty. You can taste the authentic products. We also got for takeaway Cassatina and Pistaccio e arancia. They were not good ! The Cassatina was extremely sweet and Pistaccio e arancia was ??? The service is very average… however the lady in charge of pastries and sweet is very nice and professional.
Sam B — Google review
If you go to Sicily and do not take time to visit the charming city from Noto, then you miss something! Caffe Sicilia is a unique place where the pastries are made for 4 generations and have the best raw products to make them tasty as it should be. We tried many things but the Cannoli deserved a special mention. While in Sicily I tried a lot of them and I tried can be better that this one! Atmosphere is great and Staff extremely friendly!
Chris L — Google review
The low rating is just for the price-quality ratio. The granita was alright, but nothing life-changing at all. And it costs 7 EUR!!!! That's just wild. I understand that you are seated at the table and in the center of Noto, but it's just crazy to charge so much for a granita (even crazier considering that it's just average quality). The staff was fast and nice, and the place seems really touristy and organized. Not my style, though.
Martín S — Google review
The place is beautiful. Right in the centre of Noto. The tables outside are beautiful too. However the croissant with chocolate they serve is not the real chocolate (made of chocolate powder and starch and then filled inside the croissant). I was extremely disappointed, mainly when you pay 20 euros for.a granita, 2 coffees and the croissant. We are not coming back and we don’t recommend. There are better places in Noto for a sweet breakfast.

Chocolate factory
Antica Dolceria Bonajuto is a renowned chocolatier in Sicily, offering a variety of dark chocolate bars and pastries for take-away or outdoor enjoyment. The traditional method of production involves grinding cacao beans on a curved stone and creating cacao paste without any additional preservatives, fat, artificial flavors, or mechanized labor. This pure approach to chocolate-making is rare but still practiced at Antica Dolceria Bonajuto.
The service was really great. They were helpful and provided lots of samples to help us make our choice. The chocolate was definitely more bitter than normal because of the higher cacao content but we really enjoyed it and all the variations. Got three bars, some hot chocolate and a chocolate cake piece. The chocolate cake was delicious. The shop is down a side street but ample signage.
Eric T — Google review
We participated in a guided tour at Antica Dolceria Bonajuto, where we learned all about the process of making their chocolate, from start to finish. The tasting session was amazing – each chocolate was rich and full of flavor. We also enjoyed shopping in the charming store, picking some delicious treats to take home. A must-visit for anyone who loves chocolate and wants an authentic Sicilian experience!
Limor H — Google review
You have to visit this place if you’re a chocolate lover. It’s a little bit different than the chocolate that people are used to, but it’s still great. The staff if very friendly, gave us chocolate to try before buying and told us how it’s made. You can also get cannoli here. The most perfect cannoli I have ever eaten, crispy on the outside and soft not too sweet cream on the inside. Variety of flavours to choose from.
Gabriele E — Google review
A must-visit when in Modica! Antica Dolceria Bonajuto is not just a chocolate shop — it’s a cultural experience. The oldest chocolate factory in Sicily, it preserves the unique tradition of cold-processed Modican chocolate with incredible skill and authenticity. From classic bars to spiced and citrus-infused creations, every piece is rich in flavor and history. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, and the atmosphere breathes timeless charm. Don’t miss the chance to taste a piece of Sicilian heritage — or take some home as the perfect gift!
Gianaurelio ( — Google review
A must go for a chocolate lover! Chocolate in Modica is different, they make it as ancient recipes mixing only cacao paste and sugar, therefore it doesn’t melt in the mouth but create a totally different experience! It tastes wonderful! And with many different flavors! The cassatina allo cioccolato is very very good!
Roberto R — Google review
After a long cycle and facing yet another hill ahead, I was grateful to stumble across this spot in Modica. Their freshly made cannoli were an absolute treat — crisp shells filled on the spot with rich, creamy ricotta that hit the perfect balance. Just what I needed to recharge before the next climb. A little slice of Sicilian heaven, and a must-visit for anyone passing through.
Aled D — Google review
A bit of a loud and confusing place, with multiple lines and a lot of shouting to order. But it works, and you get your order very quickly. We ordered a cold chocolate milk and a chocolate granita. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate milk, and I found the chocolate granita to be fine as well. For my girlfriend's taste, it was slightly too bitter, but for my taste, it was good.
Roy O — Google review
We came here for the chocolate Making tour, as well as to buy Modica Chocolate. We would highly recommend, the tour is very informative, hands on (such as cracking a cocoa bean and tasting it) as well as getting a behind the scenes look on how the world's most loved bean is harvested. The chocolate is also delicious. Tour offered also in English which was very clear and detailed.

Pasticceria Maria Grammatico is a renowned pastry shop in Sicily, founded by the eponymous Maria who learned her craft as a baker during her time as a cloistered nun. The shop, which has been thriving for over half a century, offers an array of delectable treats such as cassatelle, lingue di suocera, genovesi, fruit tarts, and cannoli.
Our tour of Sicily and the salt flats stopped here for a dessert tasting. Staff was very pleasant and the treats were delicious
Pamela P — Google review
Stopped by Maria Grammatico’s pastry shop in the morning while walking around Erice. It’s a small, quiet place with outdoor seating and a nice view — perfect for a cappuccino ☕ and something sweet This is a well-known bakery that’s been around since the 1960s, when Maria started it after learning how to make traditional Sicilian pastries from nuns I had a cassatina, a slice of ricotta cake, and a few small sweets. All were good, though a bit too sweet for my taste — but that’s typical of Sicilian desserts 😅. I noticed the place gets quite busy later in the day, with people lining up and buying pastries to take home as gifts A lovely local spot that’s definitely worth trying if you’re in Erice 💛.
NGAN P — Google review
Simply the best sweets in Sicily. Whatever you will pick you will be shocked by it's taste! Prices are OK, usually there is a line to get them but it's totally worth unless it goes out the shop which means like 1h + of wait. But if you got time do it, it's worth. Genovese is the main sweet here, but go ahead and try each one.
& R — Google review
Delicious pastries and coffee. Beautiful seating in an atrium garden. Tree provides shade. Pricing doesn't hurt your wallet. Staff helped me pick pastries. I give this place an autistic stamp of approval.
Kétis K — Google review
The desserts here were amazing – the pastries were still warm and incredibly tasty. However, I was quite surprised that the cappuccino was served in a plastic cup. I’ve never seen hot coffee like that before, and unfortunately, it was more like warm milk without any foam. A great place for sweets, but the coffee experience needs improvement.
Lina — Google review
Erice's best known and most Traditional Sicilian pastry shop with the personality of its founder Maria Grammatico following the convent recipes she learned while young when being raised at a Franciscan convent in Erice and expanded with new findings. Well known all over the world. The book she published, ' Bitter almonds' telling her memories and explaining her main recipes has become a classic, I bought the original version in English at the pastry shop, they also offer a translated Italian version. Very busy in season, but always a great place to enjoy Sicilian pastries with authentic local ingredients and a distinct personal touch, this shops helps to better understand the Sicilian universe of pastries and sweets with Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Norman, Arab, Spanish, especially from the convents and Swiss influences in what has come today a unique pastry culture in the world

Great option for pastry while in Erice. We were overwhelmed when we came in. It’s small and there are so many options, but we sat in the garden and our server came by and helped us pick out some things to try. Very cute and tasty!

Recommended by a local to come here for Maria’s famous genovesi - 2 minutes of pure heaven as I devoured this warm, buttery biscuit filled with vanilla cream custard! Wish I had the language to let them know how much I enjoyed this in Italian 🇮🇹

Pasticceria Cappello is a renowned pastry shop located in the historic city center of Palermo. Originally opened as a dairy in the 1940s, it has evolved into a famous pastry shop known for its delectable creations.
This place was very busy on Christmas and for a reason, I saw so many beautiful pastry platters arranged in front of my eyes each more enticing than the other. Draw a number at the entrance and wait for your turn, order, pay at the cashier and pick up your carefully packed sweets. Sfogliata with ricotta was my favourite, super crispy layers and balanced ricotta cream. The pistachio petit fours was also amazing. House chocolate bars with pistachio and other nuts or dried fruit also available at the cashier desk.
Naomi R — Google review
Delicious pastries! The tiny gelato sandwich and delizia pistachio cake were so tasty. And the cannolicchio was perfect! Great coffee too.
Julia W — Google review
After trying many cannolis in Palermo, I can confidently say this was by far the best. In addition to their amazing cannolis, we sampled a variety of mignons and an iris — and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful too, filled with local workers grabbing a quick bite and kids returning from school, which made it feel genuinely authentic. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We had food elsewhere in Palermo that was half as good for twice the price. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting — I honestly wish I could eat here every day.
Lovrog0 — Google review
While the cakes themselves were nice, the man who served us was rude. Obnoxious clearly into his phone more than serving us and being somewhat stuck up with my friend's best attempt to speak Italian seemingly consistently misunderstanding which cake she wanted, one or two pieces of. He then proceeded to play with his phone as he was half wrapping our package and generally seemed just annoyed at our existence. The taste of cakes was definitely not worth the attitude that we were given in this place
S L — Google review
Great place for a coffee and something to nibble. Amazing croissants with pistachios and the best arancini in the city. I highly recommend arancini with carne (beef).
Zofia L — Google review
Pasticceria Cappello is truly the best sweet shop in Palermo. The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and I absolutely love it. Every time I stay in Palermo, this place makes me fall in love with the city even more. I ended up going there every day to enjoy their delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended!
عامر M — Google review
Local cafe/pastry shop. Came here to check if it’s actually the best cannoli in Palermo. Maybe in Palermo it may be the best but i’ve had better. Everyone may like their cannolis in many ways. Their cannoli was different. Did taste authentic. Coffee was good. Service was good, staff were friendly. The best part is this shop is local so the prices are not that expensive. 1 cannoli & a coffee for 2.5 euro! They have alot of variety I would visit again! Highly recommend.

Hidden gem. Perfect canolo and other sweets. For those with a sweet tooth , it's compulsory to visit I really had no time to take photos as the experience to grab the lady to order was a qonquest on its own. They really have lots of costumers but it's worth

Pasticceria Irrera 1910 is a renowned pastry shop in Messina, Sicily, known for its century-old tradition of creating local delicacies. A must-try is their excellent cassata, along with other treats like pignolata, almond slush, coffee and mulberry, and the delightful frutta martorana.
Gelato tastes good in general but it melts so fast so we'd better be hurry. Mine was 2.8e. I tried cookie cream something and pear, it's not too sweet. The staff are really nice and helpful. The store looks cute too.

After witnessing the 12 o'clock bells ring at Cathedral Messina, we found our way to this wonderful shop for a traditional sicilian coffee granita with brioscia. The whipped cream, icy coffee crystals, accompanied by the perfect brioche was a nice way to cap off a quick few hours in the port! We also tried the cannoli, and its the best ive ever had! That same whipped cream is so enjoyable, and the pastry shell is light and crispy! I also had to try the life-like Cherry pastry! Everything is delicious and thoughtful. The barristas are all so kind and helpful! We will come back!

Great atmosphere, authentic food, several Sicilian “specialties” on the menu— canollo 5*, Salata 5*, granita (specialty coffee) is literally a MUST TRY! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Great coffee shop The sweet and the coffee maybe the one of the best in Italy ❤️👍 Dont miss the chocolate canolli Because it might be the best canolli in Italy
DR.Shehab G — Google review
During our trip to Messina, my daughter and I visited Pasticceria Irrera 1910, and it was a delightful experience. The service was quick and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. We tried a variety of traditional Sicilian pastries and drinks: Cannolo Siciliano: The classic, with a perfectly crispy shell and rich, creamy filling. Brioche: Soft and slightly sweet, perfect with granita. Maritozzo con Fragole: A delightful pastry with cream and strawberries. Iris al Forno: Baked pastry filled with sweet cream, lightly dusted with sugar. Granita al Pistacchio con Panna: Refreshing pistachio granita with whipped cream.Espresso: Strong and well-balanced, complementing the pastries perfectly. A tip: most items can be ordered in small (piccolo) or large (grande) sizes, so you can sample more. Everything was prepared to perfection, making this a must-visit spot in Messina for lovers of Sicilian pastries.
Rudi T — Google review
Yes…visit here for fantastic pastries. A friend who grew up in Messina recommended this place. It is very popular and was busy on a quiet Sunday. All the other surround shops were closed except for this place. We had the Fragola, Cannolo Ricotta and feta torta Piccola. All at my friend’s recommendation. Each were delicious and different. I gave up trying cannoli, even from some famous shops in Boston, because none come close to Sicilian cannoli. I’m ruined because they are so beautifully prepared here. I don’t know if I will return to Messina, but if I do I will return to Irrera. Oh yes, and all the desserts and a water totaled $13 Euro. A steal.
TJJ — Google review
Great pastries and really kind staff. Their granita was also really nice. The pastry with the wild strawberry was my favourite 🍓. All really great quality.

Pasticceria Artale is a renowned establishment in Syracuse, offering a wide selection of classic Sicilian confectionery such as cannoli and cassata. Additionally, they serve savory options for lunch and dinner. For a delightful start to your day, Voglia Matta is recommended for its tantalizing array of Sicilian sweets and exceptional granita.
I am Sicilian, and I ate cannoli my entire life. So my bar is set high for this type of food. And I have to say, better than I have ever had. So fresh and creamy. It was absolutely out of this world. Even the cannoli themselves were crunchy in a good way, and that's how it is supposed to be. They were the biggest I have ever had!

If you are in Ortigia, you cannot miss Pasticceria Artale. Their cannolo is simply unforgettable – the shell is perfectly crisp and delicate, while the ricotta filling is creamy, fresh, and full of authentic Sicilian flavor. It’s the perfect balance of texture and taste, not too sweet, just perfect. The pasticceria itself is welcoming and full of tempting pastries, but the cannolo truly stands out as one of the best I have ever had. The staff are friendly and take great pride in their craft, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

My favourite granita I've had in Sicily so far! The brioche was so fresh and warm. The staff was lovely and suggested I try a mix of almond and pistachio - delicious.
Leah P — Google review
Good breakfast, nothing mind-blowing. The cannoli are massive, maybe even too much (I’ve never seen them so big to be honest). Everything was good and prices were fair, but it just felt like a normal breakfast you could have anywhere in Italy, nothing really special.

Nestled just a stone's throw from the bustling Piazza, Vuciata is a charming eatery that captures the essence of traditional Sicilian cuisine. With its inviting terrace, this modest restaurant specializes in an array of delectable steak, pasta, and seafood dishes that celebrate local flavors. The culinary experience here pays homage to the vibrant fish market nearby, where fresh ingredients are sourced daily.
We went there spontaneously for Aperol spritz and lunch on a Saturday. We had the raw red prawns, paccheri with tuna and tomatoes, and the Sicilian stuffed sardines. We also shared a tiramisu. All dishes were amazing, the ingredients were very fresh, and the portion was big. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the ambiance is cozy. Highly recommended.

We were visiting Catania and wanted an authentic experience. We tried this place based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Nice atmosphere and great food selection with some authentic Catanese options. We had the fried sardines as an appetizer and eggplant Parmesan which were amazing. The for main course one of us had steak filet, incredible meat; the local pasta with pistachio cream and bacon, the he seafood risotto and finally the Catania pasta with anchovies and olives. All dishes were fantastic.

Some of the best food we've found in Catania. Beef, it's what's for dinner! Fillet and entrecote (ribeye) both excellent. Nice sides, really good wine by the glass and decent bottle selections. Service is a bit slow, but probably not out of character for the area. The atmosphere is absolutely top notch. Really hard to think of a better place to sit and have a leisurely lunch. Plus, they have wifi.

We absolutely loved Vuciata in Catania! The restaurant is right in the middle of a lively market street, which makes the atmosphere vibrant and fun. We tried the seafood risotto, mixed fried fish, spaghetti with shrimp and fennel, and a tiramisu. Everything was incredible. The flavors were fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of character. It was so good that we came back a second day just to enjoy it again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Catania and craving amazing italian food!

"I Dolci di Nonna Vincenza" is a renowned pastry shop named after Paolo and Alessandro's mother, where they proudly continue the family tradition by offering authentic flavors of Sicily. The original store is located in Catania, Sicily, but it has been replicated in Rome for many years. This authentic Sicilian establishment is famous for its well-made cannoli and offers a variety of other traditional Sicilian sweets featuring pistachios, walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts.
Stopped by for a quick cannolo and espresso, and it was amazing! Definitely the best cannolo I've had so far. The girl recommended the one with pistachio and ricotta. It was nice and creamy, the shell crunchy, and not sweet at all which I prefer. Will definitely come back here for more!

We had the opportunity to visit Catania this trip and stayed at Liberty Hotel. As a welcome gift they had this almond cookies for us in the room. Their cookies filled with marzipan and they were absolutely delicious. We went to the store and is a beautiful setup. I can't remember the name of the girl that took care of us but even with the language barrier she was pleasant, friendly and great customer service. Everything she gave us to try was delicious. We got some cookies to bring back home to our daughter and 20 days later the cookies are still fresh and taste delicious. If you like sweets I highly recommend this place!

Excellent gelato, maybe the best in town, especially dark chocolate and hazelnut. Other gelaterias pale in comparison. Nice homemade almond milk. Very friendy and kind servers.
Lou L — Google review
This review was saved by the samples of almond cookies (croccatino di mandorla). I think it might have been better if I came earlier in the day. Like others have commented, there was a single employee and they just plucked a chocolate coated Cannolo from the fridge. Unfortunately my Italian wasn't good enough to ask for a fresh one. The Cannolo itself wasn't bad. The ricotta had good flavor but I didn't love the chocolate-covered interior. I know the covering is there to prevent the biscuit from getting soggy but this wouldn't be a problem if they were filled on demand.

Best cannoli in Sicily, only here for a short stay but will make sure to return this same trip just to taste this pistachio perfection one last time!

Cappuccino is very tasty! Good cakes! I like it.
Aleksandr B — Google review
We had high hopes for this place but we got disappointed. While other places in the vicinity were full and crowded this one was almost empty. This was a sign that something was not right, but anyway we ate some cannoli and they were just average. There was only one employee, which was enough considering the lack of customers. I guess this place was either good in the past or it has the good rating due to better service in their other stores.

Casa Stagnitta is a historic establishment near the Quattro Canti in Palermo, offering a rich experience rooted in over a century of coffee roasting tradition. The venue now includes a pastry and dining space, serving high-quality Arabica coffee in various forms, from iced to granita and affogato. Breakfast options range from classic brioche to iris pastries with ricotta cream and chocolate flakes, as well as savory croissants and other Sicilian delicacies.
Lovely little spot in the heart of Palermo! I ordered a green coffee and sat on the terrace—everything was tasty and the atmosphere was great. I also asked for a glass of water and they gave it to me for free, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely cafe located right next to the church of La Martorana. There are several outdoor tables surrounded by shrubs with each table having a real plant which is nice. We popped in for a light breakfast of a croissant and Danish style pastry. It has an extremely varied menu of coffees of which I chose Pistachio which was fantastic. 😋 There is also some choices of teas too. There is, of course, a large selection of food to accompany the coffees, though not all were available on our visit. Service is fine.

Great for a hearty protein filled breakfast with for somebody who has gluten free requests. My breakfast was salmon , eggs, veggies and cheese and was a perfect day to start a busy day of biking and walking. Many other places only have pastries so I was happy to find this place! And they open early.

I recently visited a charming café in Palermo, and I must say it was a delightful experience . The coffee was absolutely excellent, rich and perfectly brewed . I tried the pistachio-filled croissant, which was simply wonderful, and the iris with ricotta was equally delicious . The café itself is very beautiful , offering plenty of seating and a cozy , inviting atmosphere . Its location is also very convenient, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a treat . Highly recommended for anyone visiting Palermo !

Considering this is 200m away from one of the busiest streets in Palermo, this spot it SO quiet. We stayed in a small apartment around the corner and this became our regular coffee/croissant spot. I can HIGHLY recommend the coffee and pistachio croissants - and if you’re lucky you may bag a table in the street under the lemon trees 🍋

This is a very good place to stop in for a quick bite to eat or a morning drink of coffee or espresso and of course a brioche. I stop here three days in a row so that should explain how good this place is!

Prestipino Duomo is a bakery in Catania that is highly regarded by friends as having some of the best cannoli in town. They love going there for breakfast, as they can feast on their favorite pastries fresh from the oven. The bakery is located on a high street and has fantastic views of the cathedral.
The second visit here and the second time perfect service and food. Amazing sweets and cannoli and plethora of coffees including the cold one. Very good prices assuming it is one of the biggest city in Sicily. Very good ratio: value to price.

One of the best granita we had in Sicily. We visited this place several times and tried different flavours and other desserts. Staff was nice although the place was always very busy every time we visited.

We had the arancino with ragu and the one with pistachio, a pistachio croissant and raviola grande fritto with ricotta. The arancino were good and warm, very filling, the croissant was not fresh but the pistachio cream was nice, and the star of the show was the raviola, very good and sweet, you have to get the fried one, much better than the baked one. Quite cheap, Overall a good experience.

More than just Pastries, coffee cocktails. They serve a very nice variety of hot and cold food. Go inside and take a look at the display. Everybody wants to sit outside many tables and see Catania, slower service. Inside is a very nice seating, quick service and access to the bathrooms. Tasty Chicken salad with a nice variety of vegetables and Rice Ball with Spinach.. Dolce got Baba was pre-soaked in tray of syrup to much, you wanna a Baba with syrup applied fresh to order. cafe macchiato perfect. Very good prices Wonderful place to see one of the main Piazzas del Duomo yet lager tourist area.

We came here at the end of our food tour for some granita- amazing!!! I had chocolate and almond. That chocolate granita… best granita of my trip. I tried it at a few other places and eventually had to stop because it was never nearly as good and I just felt like I was wasting my money after a while. They had lots of other delicious looking treats that I wish I could have tried too!

Morning coffee and a croissant. A wonderful view of the surroundings, friendly staff. Since the coffee was excellent, I ordered another one. When paying the bill, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable price. Wonderful! I was there again at the evening just for some dessert and a glass of wine and i get ful table of good food. This is for sure my fav place in Catania!
Alenka K — Google review
Just had toasted almond and mulberry granita to take away and it was good. Mulberry has pieces of fruit in it which we enjoyed. Tastes somewhat like blueberries. Almond has pieces of toasted almonds which we also like. A tad to sweet for me and a bit watery compared to others, but everybody is different. Perfect location with nice view. Staff was not the friendliest though. Edit: bought the almond paste/marzipan. Two of the smaller pieces that on the packaging said it was 300g per piece. I questioned the weight but the waiter told us it is 300g. So we bought the two. At home I weighed the pieces because I was still suspicious and we are 150g short in total, which is 25% less than what I paid for. Feels like fraud and this is far beyond artisan fluctuations as I am sure a pastry maker does have a kitchen scale to weigh the paste before wrapping.

(Translated by Google) I visited this pastry shop by chance and I think I was very lucky because starting from the classic granita made with love and delicious, but when I tasted the cannoli with pistachio cream I understood that this gentleman, in addition to being a great professional, also has the ability to transfer the love for his land into the products he produces. The pistachio cream is enveloping and at the same time delicate with a unique persistence of taste, and here I thought I had reached the maximum, but with a surprise move it also made me taste the classic cannoli and here I practically took flight in a world of quality, taste and lightness. A truly unique experience and to be recommended to all those who pass through Racalmuto to see the places of the great Sciascia.

Pasticceria Subba is a historic establishment located at 92 Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Lipari, offering a delightful array of croissants, pastries, and sweet treats. With over fifty years of experience, this charming venue exudes elegance and quality. Visitors often feel right at home in this cozy setting. Guests can enjoy lactose-free coffee with milk, delicious brioche, and sweet almond pastries while basking in the sun on the terrace.
Amazing cannoli! Amazing ice cream! I loved the coffee and other pastries as well. I didn’t see the reviews before going there now I went online to give the best review for the whole island Lipari. I don’t understand how come it has only 2.2 stars out of 5. For me and my family this has been the best pasticceria in Lipari. We’ve tried other few ones but this one has taken our heart and our stomachs as well. We’ve gone there the last 3 days of our stay, since it seems like we’ve found the best one now. Price-wise is not the cheapest but I was not aiming for cheap instead I went for full quality pastry. We definitely recommend it and would always return.
Chris L — Google review
We will honestly miss this place & be back on our next vacation! Everything we tried was excellent. Yes, it’s slightly on the upper price range, but really not by much—especially when you consider the quality of the products and the fact that you’re on an island… Of course, we recommend the granita and brioche (a classic combo), but we also sampled most of the morning pastries and none of them disappointed. The pistachio croissant is a killer—absolutely delicious. The terrace, while close to the main street, is set back enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re close to the road. It had a relaxed, holiday vibe that we really appreciated.
Bianca O — Google review
An institution here in Lipari. Very good granita and brioche, however the service is really awful and this drives the poor rate. The older waitress has no manners. I’ve kindly asked for a bottle of water, she snorted saying “one moment!” and the bottle never arrived. I struggled to get a coffee before the rest of the order. Very disappointed that a popular place as this one doesn’t care about service and professionalism to customers.
Francesca — Google review
I’m shocked by all the bad reviews. Yes, it is expensive. But the treats and espresso and service were all amazing—we went back two days in a row. The cassata Siciliana was to die for!

We had some icecream to take away, which were really good. But from the beginning to the end we didn't got any smile and didn't feel welcome. In short: rude staff.
Nathan U — Google review
After reading the lonely planet guidebook where this place was mentioned as a must go - I wanted to try. The prices are elevated but this is an island so... The service was average but this was the worst granita I have tried in Sicily. And the restroom can be opened by a key which need to be asked from the staff - and the conditions of the restroom is awful (smell and dirt). Find another place.
Tímea — Google review
We had one tiramisu, one pistachio cheesecake, and an eolina, or something like that,, local pastry with almonds… two coffees, and one bottle of water for 23 euro. Very expensive and they charge you service. Desserts were ok, but service was very questionable, and actually very confusing to place an order… also the waitress was upset because I asked to change table since the one we chose was besides the trash bins and there were flies flying by. Perhaps it’s the Sicilian way, very disappointing…
Ángel A — Google review
Two coffee and 3 scoops of gelato-19 euros. While choosing flavors we were offered to sit and wait for gelato and coffee, but the price is 3 times more if you sit, but no one is explaining it to you. Price on fridge indicates 5 euro, but after you sit it becomes 15. So be aware of the scam!

Stumbled into this bakery for a quick lunch while exploring neighborhoods and avoiding the tourist spots on the main drag. Owner was wonderful getting us set up with eggplant parmesan, arancini, a Greek salad, and drinks. Nothing fancy, but well-made solid food in a casual indoor-outdoor atmosphere. Place was full of locals having lunch and beers and fun. You can tell they like this business and the owners. Made the mistake of leaving without a couple of cannolis. Dang, next time. Thanks again, and Cheers!

I was here one morning (late October) because I saw they were finally open when I went around the block. I was looking forward to a cannolo (but no cannoli were baked that morning, weird but ok) so I got the pistacchio corne and it was good. Just that the man seemed like I almost disturbed him by coming in and buying something. Anyway, if you’re on Panarea, go ahead and give it a try and maybe they’ll have a cannolo if they happen to be open (I suppose June-August, they should be open almost all the time). Btw I think he gave me a discount from 4 eur to 2 eur on my pistacchio cone (not sure if it was an off-season discount or not-today’s-corne discount). :))

If you find yourself in Levanzo, make sure to stop by Panetteria La Chicca for a delightful experience. This charming spot is perfect for an aperitivo starting at 6 PM, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz paired with traditional Italian tapas like mortadella and caponata—all at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, frequented by locals and even friendly street cats looking for a snack.
We stopped at la chicca for an aperitivo (start at 18h)... 12 euro for a glass of wine an Aperol Spritz (small) and some typical Italian tapas (mortadella, cheese, caponata, ... ) while waiting for our ferry back to Favignana. It is fairly spartan but you can see that locals go there and the atmosphere is very nice. Street cats are included and are very friendly while asking for food. Definitely a recommended stop if you are in Levanzo!

The pizza-like dough is standout and the fillings are fresh and delicious. We had the caprese and saraceno sandwiches - both were fantastic. Amazing value for money for a picnic lunch. The arrancini were also good - we shared one between two.

I was skeptical at the very beginning. But I was wrong. The guys were doing great job. We took a sandwich bussaiolo and beer. Sandwich was very tasty. Also I saw people ordering bruschettas which looked extremely good. To conclude: food is tasty, price is reasonable and the guys are polite. Wish to come back :)

(Translated by Google) At this little bakery, food therapy is a serious business: they master the art of balancing traditional flavors, crispy breading, and fillings. It was a daily stop during our stay, and everything we ordered was exceptional: the best arancini we've ever had, the bitter ravioli, the focaccia, the biscotti. The friendliness of the owner and the staff is a plus, and it's not surprising to always find a small line, but it's short and worth it! You leave with a piece of warm happiness in a paper bag. (Translated by Google) We entered this bakery thinking of eating a piece of pizza in a typical place given the locals sitting at the tables outside, but we learned with disbelief that it is not a bakery but a GOLDSMITH of how expensive it is!! 2 squares of pizza 7 euros (we should be grateful given that the original price was 9€, according to what was said by the lady who weighed the pizza with all the cardboard on a scale that was off). A mediocre and reheated pizza, nothing more than "hot pizza" in the evening as indicated on the sign outside. A place unworthy of being called a bakery. Adjust the scale and weigh the pizza WITHOUT cardboard! And don't forget the receipt! We stay in Lipari for a week, but we will never return to the place, not even by mistake! It's a shame because the location is excellent... but this is normal when you don't know how to deal with customers, even worse if they are tourists. I'm sorry for you, but we are not chickens to be plucked! Even if they are tourists, they are not fathers or experts! never see each other again. This was my first meal in lipari. I had a mid morning slice of pizza. It was so good! The lady behind the counter had a kind spirit for a foreigner who spoke no italian. I’ll be back for more.

Fantastic bread, the best we found in Lipari and Co. We tried several bread maker and were always disappointed, we found this one after all and we couldn't change anymore for the rest of our staying. Pizza, bread, brioche, arancini... everything super tasty and well done.

(Translated by Google) Excellent bakery at the beginning of the Canneto road toward Unci, offering traditional bread and a variety of pizzas. Fast and friendly service. Fortunately, the atmosphere is still traditional, giving it a genuine charm. (Original) Ottima panetteria all’inizio della strada di Canneto verso Unci con pane tradizionale, pizze di vario tipo. Servizio veloce e cortese. Ambiente fortunatamente ancora tradizionale e per questo con il fascino dell’autentico.

(Translated by Google) While staying here in Canneto I tasted their pizza and focaccia, both delicious! Average prices, but the best thing is feeling welcomed by the staff who are ready to explain the ingredients and have a chat (not something to be taken for granted in some places). I absolutely recommend stopping here to grab something and maybe eat it on the beach!

(Translated by Google) The best pizza by the slice on the island, the best bread on the island. Nothing else to say. (Original) La migliore pizza al taglio dell'isola, il miglior pane dell'isola. Non c'è altro da dire.
