Bakery
Cream Pan is a Japanese-French bakery in Tustin that offers a delightful fusion of French and Japanese baking techniques. The owner, Yoshinori Inada, brings his extensive experience to create an array of decadent treats such as the famous Strawberry Croissant and the signature Cream Pan bun filled with rich custard.
I have been coming here for many years. The Boston donut is incredible! Lots of things are. The Apple croissant is surprisingly amazing. They are known for their strawberry cream croissant. Prices are also super reasonable and so the line in the mornings even years later is often out the door, though it moves fast. Sometimes I can just breeze right in and out. Although I give the place an overall close to 5, I must disclose the butter croissant (pictured) is not a 5. The flavor is actually quite good and better than most, even ones I rate higher. But the sound and crunch are not there, so I can only give it a 3.5, sadly. It is consistent throughout the day somehow, whether 8am or 1:30pm (both pictured), so it has that going for it, but I grade tough so I think most people will be happy.

Celebrated an early Mother’s Day with the fam, so guess what I’m bringing?! Strawberry croissants! Parking: There’s a large parking lot, but it’s always busy here, so finding a spot can be somewhat difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They’re always poppin, and yes there’ll be a line. There’s signs everywhere asking for the door to remain closed if there’s a line. Make sure you’re not one of those people that can’t read and leave the door open. It’s pretty small inside. No indoor seating. They do have a small outdoor seating area. Service: Throughput was surprisingly quick for how long the line was. Shout out to the hard working women there. They’re quick & efficient. They do have a heavy accent, and it could be difficult to understand them. Pastries & coffee: We ordered the strawberry croissants, caramel mocha latte, and white chocolate mocha latte. The strawberry croissants are the reasons why we always come back. Love how airy and perfectly crisp their croissants are. The filling isn’t too sweet, and the strawberries are fresh. The lattes were okay .. I saw that they actually make their espressos by hand. The caramel mocha was sweet, of course. The white chocolate mocha was decent. Both could use a stronger coffee taste bc it was pretty light. Pricing: The croissants are expensive, but definitely worth it for any occasion. Will be back to try their other pastries and coffee!

A Must-Visit Bakery Gem — Consistent, Fresh & Always Delicious! After my morning run today, I decided to stop by Cream Pan, one of my all-time favorite bakeries. I’ve been here several times, and I can confidently say I’ve never had a bad experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most amazing aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. The staff is always warm and friendly, and the display cases are filled with everything from sushi rolls and sandwiches to pastries, cakes, and desserts it’s impossible not to find something tempting. I first discovered Cream Pan thanks to my brother when we were in California for my wedding. He stopped by to grab some snacks, and that’s where my love for this place began. We picked up the crispy chicken sandwich, the turkey avocado sandwich, the strawberry and cream sandwich, and of course, the famous olive bread with dipping olive oil and wow, that olive bread is what won me over! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Since then, I’ve been back several times, and the consistency has been impressive. My favorite item is definitely the turkey avocado sandwich, followed closely by the crispy chicken sandwich. There was one time my olive bread came out slightly burnt, but every visit after that has been perfect they really do pay attention to quality. Today marked my fourth visit, though I arrived a bit late in the afternoon, so many items were already sold out (a good sign of how popular this place is!). They were out of the turkey avocado sandwich, but one of the sweetest employees recommended their egg sandwich, saying it’s a customer favorite. I also decided to finally try their famous strawberry croissant with custard. Both were incredible. The egg sandwich was light, creamy, and super fresh one side had tomato, the other cucumber, giving it the perfect balance of texture and flavor. The strawberry croissant was pure heaven flaky pastry, smooth custard that wasn’t overly sweet, and fresh strawberries dusted with powdered sugar on top. Everything about it was perfect. My mom also loves Cream Pan every time I fly back home to Miami, she makes sure I bring her the olive bread. It’s become our little family tradition now. Overall, Cream Pan is a solid 10/10. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is kind, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It’s one of those rare bakeries that truly lives up to its reputation. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

Cream Pan Bakery in Tustin offers an impressive selection of fresh bakery items and light meals. Their menu includes a range of sandwiches such as katsu, along with sushi rolls and other Japanese-inspired dishes. Service is consistently quick, prices are reasonable, and the outdoor patio adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Ample parking makes it convenient, though weekend lines can be quite long — a testament to their popularity.
Harry — Google review
The pastry was good! Fresh, tasty, and well made. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I would definitely come back to try more.
Pantea A — Google review
Mediocrity in dessert form: Strawberry croissant: - fruit: no different from what you’d get at Walmart, not sweet, not very fragrant - cream: liquidity, not much happening besides “vanilla” - pastry: same quality as you’d get by buying frozen buff pastry and rolling them before baking Cake roll: - still frozen - yet still somehow still freaking dry (honestly impressive) Pudding: - best of the bunch, vanilla flavor was artificial, too much egg flavor (not the creaminess of yolk, the unpleasant flavor of egg white) Service: bunch of people who couldn’t be bothered, which, let’s be honest given the shitty interior and what they’re probably paid? Fair. All of you praising this place to high heaven, so envious you can be so happy with such low effort products 👌
Anton E — Google review
Delicious pastry with very reasonable price. Lots of other options such as sandos and sushi. This is a hidden gem. My favorite is the raisin toast.
Chao G — Google review
I’ve been coming to Cream Pan for years. The ambiance has always been the same, simple, easy, and welcoming, with lots of fresh food to choose from. It’s been one of the reasons I’ve continued to support them, a reliable go-to spot with consistently good offerings. But today’s experience left me really disappointed. I had purchased some food and a hot large latte, but with errands and a lot on my mind, I accidentally left the drink behind. I called the store shortly after to apologize and let them know I’d be back to pick it up later, or if it was okay for one of my staff members to do so. The first person who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. She gave me clear attitude, made me feel like I was bothering her, and without a word, threw the call to someone else. Thankfully, the second person was kind, professional, and helped me resolve the situation, but the treatment I received initially was uncalled for. The staff was trying to protect one another because when I asked the second girl twice, who that first girl's name was, she wouldn't answer my question. I wasn’t demanding, I wasn’t rude. I even apologized for the inconvenience. I just don’t understand why I was met with that kind of energy, especially when I was just trying to communicate and find a simple solution. I really do love Cream Pan as a brand. But the customer service experience matters just as much as the food. It’s the experience that makes people want to return, and if it starts to feel disrespectful or dismissive, it’s hard to want to keep coming back. I’m disappointed, especially because I care about supporting small businesses. But if staff aren’t trained to treat customers with basic courtesy, it’s going to cost them in the long run.

Katella Bakery, Deli & Restaurant is an iconic establishment in Orange County, dating back to 1964 when two European immigrants introduced traditional Jewish recipes. Today, the third generation continues to uphold these family recipes, serving over 2,000 visitors daily with a diverse menu. From piled-high pastrami on rye to matzo ball soup and an array of baked goods including macarons, croissants, cookies and tarts - there's something for everyone.
This place is Amazzzzzzing. Food was Delicious, Pastries are sooo Good. Sat at the bar for a bit and the bartender made us some yummy drinks. Very Friendly and Nice Guy. Service was Great. Definitely will be going back. Highly Recommend it to Everyone!!!!

We went Saturday evening around 730, and there was minimal wait to get seated. Service was good. Food tasted great. Those onion rings were really crispy, and the ranch that came with it was perfect. The sandwiches tasted great. I was just sad that good bagels were out, and the pricing on food is a bit high, but if you are willing to pay the price, it's most likely worth it.
Jenny L — Google review
Katella Deli Bakery & Restaurant is a feast for the eyes and the palate. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a stunning display of freshly baked bread, pastries, and desserts. The bakery is truly a dessert lover’s dream—so much so that it’s hard to choose where to start! The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, making it a perfect spot for dates, family gatherings, or a relaxed meal. However, despite the amazing ambiance and food selection, our experience was marred by an incredibly long wait for our orders—over 30 minutes. It genuinely felt like our orders had been forgotten. By the time the food arrived, my hunger had passed, and I could barely eat half of my sandwich, which was truly disappointing. The manager did come over to apologize and offered a complimentary slice of cheesecake, which was a kind gesture, but no customer should have to wait that long, especially when they’re hungry. While the food was good and the cheesecake was appreciated, the wait time detracted from an otherwise perfect experience. If it weren’t for that awful wait, Katella would have earned a 5-star review from me. Hopefully, this was just an off day for their service because the potential for an amazing dining experience is definitely there.
Tita P — Google review
I came to this restaurant around 11 a.m., and it was busy. Which is a good sign for any business. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to receive our food. As i looked around, i didn't see any worker standing around. They were all busy working their own stations. I was glad to see that even though they were busy, there wasn't a sign of trash on the floors, empty tables, or restrooms. There wasnt any stains on the floors, tables. This restaurant seems to be very big on cleanliness.
Noemy Z — Google review
Kattela Deli is a cozy, spacious spot with a great vibe. They serve fresh cakes, a variety of cookies and sweets, and really good sandwiches. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a relaxed afternoon snack. We were 12 people and got a private room, then enjoyed the balcony with fresh air, ocean breeze, and lovely decor. I’ll definitely be going back!
Azy S — Google review
I’ve been disappointed last couple times I’ve come here. The atmosphere is nice and the employees are pleasant but the food always seems to disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo today and it tasted just like the Lean Cuisine version. So if you like Lean Cuisine Chicken Alfredo, you should come here.

Grossssss.....I ordered a cali club sandwich with Cole slaw after looking at it I noticed a purple rubber band o disgusting and direct health code violation!! No apology no nothing Mr Jasone Oliver the manager was actually upset we complained he should be fired I'm filing a complaint with the OC health dept be careful everyone this place is gross...I included pics....

We had a dinner here then visited the adjoining pastry shop. Dinner was great nice service, beautiful restaurant, tasty food. My husband had a salmon dish and I enjoyed a large southwestern blackened chicken salad. The salad was huge. The place is very pretty and staff attentive. Some of the pastries we took home slightly missed the mark though. A chocolate croissant had such a small amount of chocolate in it it was sad. And quite dry. We didnt bother to even finish it. I also had a small cheese square but this as well was just a bit bland and just ok. The blueberry muffin was quite tasty and I would definitely try again cause some of their other desserts looked absolutely amazing.

French restaurant
Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
Moulin is a Parisian-style cafe that offers a true taste of France in California. With its glass counter displaying fresh pastries and classic plats du jour on the menu, the cafe exudes an authentic French ambiance. The founder, Laurent Vrignaud, created Moulin out of his love for the bistro culture he missed from his hometown in Montmartre, Paris.
I’m French and to be honest since I moved to Cali it’s been hard to find a legit French place. I mean an authentic tasting, no extra froufrou. Just legit great French authentic cuisine. Moulin is the first place to deliver on that note! And “cerise sur le gâteau” (yup, cherry on the cake) … several French people or French people actually worked there! The only difference with back home? I actually had great service 👀😅
Patrick V — Google review
This place is incredible! The pastries were so beautiful you almost didn’t want to eat them, almost! They tasted as amazing as they looked. My favorite by far was the lemon tart! Location and parking were easy, but do expect long lines.
L — Google review
This restaurant has the feel of a casual French bistro. The interior walls are decorated with a charming French-inspired design, while the patio—with its tables placed in an unstructured way—adds a touch of European character. Having lived in Italy and visited France several times, I find that this place brings back a little of that atmosphere, which is why I enjoy coming here from time to time. Most of the dishes are quite good, and I would especially recommend the desserts.
Ara — Google review
I was close by and decided to stop because of heavy rain. I am so glad I came here. Everything about my experience was amazing. The server let me pick where I wanted to sit. Service was quick and the food was delicious. I got the pork chops with apples, potatoes and green beans. So delicious and perfect for this weather. A cafe au lait rounded off the experience.
Danisecl — Google review
This is the best French café in OC, maybe even SoCal. Been coming here since the days when it was Pascal, the new management had definitely brought it up a notch or two. Their panini is out of this world, and it's not a complete visit without getting the pastries, from Kouign Amann, Baba au rhum, pear tart, croissant, macaron to finishing with cafe au lait. They also have this wonderful shop with French cookies to wine. While you're there, take advantage of the outdoor patio seating. It's not the most ideal being next to a busy parking lot, especially during the lunch rush hours.
Carl W — Google review
Kid friendly. Good food all around. I was gonna grab yesterday’s day old pastries. But someone grabbed them before I could circle back and get it. Really enjoyed the Piedmontese potato salad, oxtail, and sausage. Yoghurt and eggs delicious too
JUSTIN C — Google review
Proper French bakery, which is tough to find in the U.S., but you’ll certainly pay a pretty penny for the experience. Has the vibes, the sounds, and the smells. Pastries and espresso drinks are top notch with a bit of the pretentious French attitude from the women working the cases to match!
Matthew G — Google review
Excellent! We had gone to two other French Bakeries on our OC excursion trip and then two other Moulin’s and they were closed. We found this Moulin in Newport Beach and they did not disappoint! This was by far the best French bakery than the others we have tried. We would definitely return.

Blackmarket Bakery @ The Camp offers a delectable array of in-house made pastries, baked goods, and food that varies with the seasons. From chocolate babkas to berry tarts, their menu is ever-changing. The Costa Mesa location at The Camp provides ample seating for visitors to enjoy their treats while sipping on coffee or working.
The Hidden Gem for Almond Croissants & Cherry Bars If you know, you know. Blackmarket Bakery is one of those spots that, once you discover it, becomes part of your routine. And if you haven’t been yet? Let me put you on. The Almond Croissant That Will Ruin You for All Others This isn’t just any almond croissant—it’s the almond croissant. Consistently flaky, buttery, and packed with that rich, chunky almond filling that feels homemade in the best way. The top is beautifully crisp, the inside is soft and layered, and every bite is perfection. It’s the kind of pastry you think about the next morning and wish you had stocked up on. The Cherry Bar – Underrated But Absolutely Essential This one doesn’t get enough hype, but it should. Their cherry bar is the perfect mix of tart, sweet, and buttery, and the best part? The team here is always so nice—they happily warm it up for you, which takes it to the next level. Warm, gooey, and just the right amount of indulgent. The Move: Pair It With a Flat White from Work in Progress Here’s my routine: grab my almond croissant (or cherry bar, depending on the mood) and then head over to Work in Progress for their flat white. It’s the perfect combo—flaky pastry, smooth espresso, and the kind of breakfast that makes your whole morning better. Don’t Sleep on the Cookies While the almond croissant is the star, their cookies are seriously good too. Soft, chewy, and packed with flavor—whether you go for chocolate chip, peanut butter, or one of their seasonal flavors, you can’t go wrong. Final Thoughts? This Place is a Must. Blackmarket Bakery has that rare mix of incredible pastries, warm service, and a local feel that keeps you coming back. Whether you’re grabbing a quick treat or making it part of your morning ritual, it never disappoints. Tag your coffee & pastry-loving friends—this is one spot worth sharing.

Great bakery with a fun ambiance and a variety of baked goods and more substantial options like sandwiches. I can't speak to the coffee but the matcha was high quality. The breakfast sandwich was great and the upgrade to a crossiont roll was worth it.

Wonderful atmosphere, very great coffeehouse vibes. Remember to try some of the pastries or hot food items! Check out the merch

My parents have been coming here since before I was born so automatically, I’ve grown up coming to this spot. It’s one of my favorites for the food/drinks, atmosphere, and fresh in-house made bread! They have many vegan friendly options such as JustEgg, and dairy free options too. They make a mean lavender oat milk latte and the BEST almond croissant you’ll ever have. The almond croissants taste like they were imported from Paris through an overnight plane. They’re seriously off the charts. They also make some of the best rosemary sourdough bread I’ve ever had. It’s fresh and the rosemary isn’t overpowering, it’s just the right amount. All of their tarts/desserts are certainly worth trying. I stock up on a big box to bring home for Thanksgiving every year. If you’re ever visiting Orange County, this spot is close to the airport and definitely worth visiting for coffee and breakfast/brunch.
Kelly G — Google review
Coffee is trash and the service is worse. Their espresso machine was so caked with old grounds I could see it from the counter and they kept telling me they didn’t know why my 7 dollar espresso tasted like old trash. They also charge 15 plus a plate for breakfast, which I was too afraid to eat after seeing the cleanliness of their front end operation.
Josh H — Google review
What a cute bakery and cafe. My Fresh Prince was amazingly tasty! The red pepper Mayo was also very tasty. The bread, bakery and cookie options were phenomenal! Enormous cookies and the Cinnamon Churro Twists are enormous! My pumpkin chai latte was also delish! A MUST if you’re in the area!!
Maria R — Google review
I was not impressed with the food and drinks as much as I was with the display. The mini camper display was cute. Fresh Prince was not lacking flavor because it tasted like nothing. The hot chocolate was, well, just hot, not exactly most delicious. The real issue for me was the wait... It took over 30 minutes for my food and drinks! Maybe it was understaffed, but to wait so long for food and drinks in the morning was quite frustrating. Overall, just an average.

The butter croissant: 5/5 The Pop-tart: 4/5 I got them warmed and really enjoyed both items! The inside has a unique decor with indoor seating and some outdoor seating. Friendly service and fresh bakery items. I'll definitely be back!

Nestled in the heart of Santa Ana, BREAD Artisan Bakery has been a beloved staple since its inception in 2010 by Jonnie LoFranco. This bakery is renowned for its exceptional artisan breads, crafted with passion and expertise by head baker Yannick Guegan, who honed his skills in France. The selection includes an array of delightful options such as sourdough, multi-grain, spelt quinoa with orange, and pistachio raisin walnut bread.
BREAD is among the top bakeries around and their team are the nicest people you can find on Farmers Markets. They use french flour and butter to bake so you have the same quality as in the bakeries in France. I warmly recommend!

As a Frenchman living in the US I’ve been looking for a good baguette and the baguette tradition is simply delicious, authentic and fairly priced! Super happy to have this store nearby. The pain au chocolat is also delicious!

This is actually a wholesale shop location/bakery/ Warehouse NOT a real coffee shop or a shop for people to come and just buy off the shelf or order but you could pre-order online they say ALL their products are available at Irvine Ranch market and some of their products at all mother's markets. I wish they had a better description of the store online

Amazing crust , amazing crumb ! My go to is the multigrain pan loaf or the always impressive olive and thyme batard. Real artisan bread , hooray !

I rarely write reviews because normally is hard to find top quality food. I met these guys last Saturday at the Laguna Beach Farmer's market. The sourdough bread I bought was perfect. The 2 croissants, 1 chocolate and 1 strawberries were superb. The most real French-like quality I have found so far in OC. TOP BAKERY!

Stale bread and knockoff recipes from the original cuisine. As for the staff they lack communication skills and are friendly. Would not recommend their pastries as they do not stand out at all. Porto’s has 10x better pastries and that’s not even their main focus.

The best bread probably in orange county maybe even so cal. Delicious. Man could definitely live on bread alone from here. They make many types, each with passion and care to make them the finest. Besides being available in the finest restaurants arround you can also get it at some farmers markets and a few specialty shops.

C'est Si Bon Bakery is a long-standing favorite in Orange County, known for its delectable breads, cakes, cookies, and breakfast pastries served in a charming French-style cafe. The bakery's iconic chocolate croissants draw regulars who line up for their morning pastry fix. In addition to the tempting pastries, the bakery offers an array of sandwiches and freshly brewed hot or iced coffee at an affordable price.
This is my favorite sandwich spot near Irvine. The ingredients are wholesome, and the pastries taste absolutely amazing. The coffee is great too.

Go for the baguettes and sandwiches! AMAZING BREAD! The black iced tea was fresh and had an excellent taste. Very affordable and knocks the socks off any chain restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. Outdoor eating area was clean, had nice landscaping and partial sun. I’ll be back.

The fresh bread and pastries are my fave! I really enjoyed their roast beef on a croissant. The portion size of the croissant was perfect for me. I also tried their chocolate croissant and mini pecan pie which I enjoyed. Only complaint is that they were unable to provide an itemized receipt unless I ordered online (traveling for work and needed for reimbursement)

I've passed this bakery numerous times and observed the cue out the door. Mornings and weekends, this place is a local favorite. It's not in a shopping center or on the highway that passerbys would see. As a local OC, I decided to read reviews and then venture inside. Coffees, custom sandwiches, breads and pastries are a reviewed delight. Sitting inside and side patio available after counter purchases. For my first visit a few weeks ago, I bought four desserts, one per day. Today, I returned and bought four more. Lol.
MK — Google review
Originally a customer decades ago. Lunch was frequently turkey on a baguette with a slice of raspberry Kiss of Death cake. I moved away and have no idea when Bruno stopped selling the raspberry version by the slice. IMO, it's SO much better than the mocha version. Though that one's pretty decent. I planned a recent trip around buying a whole raspberry cake and taking home via car trip. Nearly 7 hours in an insulated bag with blue ice packs. Happy to report it made the trip fine though I won't attempt it in the summertime. The cake definitely did not disappoint! Try it, you'll like it. Please lobby Bruno to bring it back by the slice. I'd buy a slice every visit because buying a whole cake isn't practical and 7 hour drive, each way, isn't fun. In other regards: the employees are always great though getting someone to pick up the phone isn't easy. The sandwiches are tasty and a great value as are the baguettes and pastries.

Very busy on a saturday late lunch time. The line and workers were efficient. Display was well done. Girl behind the counter was not having a great day (or just woeking the lunch rush?). I asked for suggestions. She recommended the pumpkin pie with no explanation. There were no plackards or signs or labels for what the individual goods were. I know what pumpkin pie and cheesecake are. Almost everything else was a mystery. I told her I had never been and didn't get any more support. I ordered cheesecake, pumpkin pie and some sort of cake with half vanilla amd half chocolate mousse. Both the cheesecake and the pumpkin pie were excellent. The vanillaousde was also excellent. The chocolate portion was a step below all the other items/flavors. Not a lot of seating l, but the weather outside was very pleasant. People around me were also pleasant. A little disappointed there was no bread pudding. The baked goods were very good.

I’m avid cyclist and I have group friends that when ride we go to this place to get coffee and pastry. The food is great but the service is bad. Today we stop there to get coffee and the servant was rude and doesn’t smile. You ask questions and they make you rush. This is not the only day that this happens but every time we go here the servants don’t smile or greet you. This place is popular with cyclists and a lot of them come here. I hope the workers would smile and make you feel at home.

C’est Si Bon is a pretty good bakery, and the line is always out the door because it’s so darn cheap. Where else can you get a croissant for <$3? But don’t expect an elevated, authentic French bakery experience. You do get what you pay for. Unfortunately, the low cost is reflected in the quality of some of their items. Some are good for the price, others aren’t worth having even if they’re cheap. WORTH HAVING: -sandwiches (flavorful and great bread) -croissants (not amazing, but decent for the price) -chocolate truffles (so rich and yummy) -baguettes (tasty and served warm) -coffee (decent cup of joe and piping hot) SKIPS: -cinnamon rolls (dry and not great flavor) -brownies (taste cakey, not fudgy like a brownie should) -muffins (they don’t look appetizing, because they aren’t) I haven’t tried their cakes or tarts yet but will give those a shot next! Overall I think it’s worth standing in line for some pretty affordable delights, but just know it’s hit or miss.

French’s Bakery is a classic and renowned bakery with locations in Mission Viejo, Orange, and Costa Mesa. They specialize in crafting beautiful cakes, cupcakes, cookies, danishes, and pastries that have delighted locals for over 50 years. Their traditional recipes have given them staying power as a neighborhood favorite. While some find the staff not too friendly and the lack of Apple Pay inconvenient, many still flock to French’s for their delicious treats like cream cheese danishes and bear claws.
Just happened into this fabulous Bakery!! Oh my goodness!! I wanted one of everything!! Not only did it look so good, but it tasted awesome also!! The tables outside were nice to sit at. I would definitely come back!

We ordered a birthday cake and they did a beautiful job! The service was wonderful and they had our cake ready when we picked it up. It was also delicious! We had the vanilla cake with buttercream and it reminded me sooo much of my favorite Florida cakes from Publix—iykyk! Thank you for the wonderful cake and smash cake! My little one loved it!

They used to offer a uniquely special omelet cheese bread with a jalapeño option as a daily option and it would sell out every day. Now it is just special order but it is worth the trip and the special order. Enough so that when I travel from out of state, I schedule time nearly every trip to get to French's after calling a day in advance for the cheese bread, extra cheesy. It is about $7 a loaf and well worth it. Imagine a firm, pillowy textured bread with strong veins if golden cheddar mixed throughout a moist egg based dough. The mouth feel is excellent and the cheesy, slightly salty taste results in a total loaf being consumed as a meal substitute. Very hard to put down. Almost as if a deliciously cheesy quiche morphed into a loaf of bread. French's was hit hard by covid and had to consolidate some stores. I worry some day it will no longer be around, similar to the classic Claim Jumper of old (bought out and commercialized elsewhere into a shell of its former self). This is a bread that a cheese monger or bread lover should try before you die. Other than that, French's has a large variety of baked treats, bread and they make excellent custom cakes. It might remind you of an actual French bakery you might encounter in Saint Germain. Trust me and treat yourself to this delicacy, a treat I haven't encountered anywhere else.

Celebrating a co-worker's birthday, we stopped at French's Bakery in Costa Mesa to pick up a cake for a surprise birthday party. The staff took care of me, making sure the cake was ready to go and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. They have a wide selection to choose from and if you have enough time, you can have custom cakes made. Great prices. Definitely will use again.

I ordered on DoorDash because of the reviews I paid extra because I live a long way away. Very disappointed no better than average what you get at a supermarket for the cookies for the cupcakes . these taste like they’re made with mixes just like you could buy in the store chocolate chip cookies by the dozen are mediocre. I’m really disappointed. I wanted to have something really good.

Excellent bakery. My wife had been a French's supporter when she was young and living in the Costa Mesa area. We are in Colorado now, but when visiting Disneyland, we make sure we go to French's and pack a cooler on our way back home. Update: 2025, things seemed to have changed, smaller portions, not tasting the same. Most likely will not go out of my way to stop when visiting Disneyland now living in Washington State.

Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe, a charming Japanese bakery located in downtown Anaheim, has been making waves in the local pastry scene since its arrival from Okayama, Japan in 2018. The bakery offers an array of delectable breakfast pastries and desserts that have garnered rave reviews. Their menu includes savory options like spicy curry pan and Japanini (a Japanese take on French panini), as well as sweet treats such as strawberry cream croissants and cinnamon rolls.
The matcha latte was decent and enjoyable enough. However, it wasn't the overwhelming level that you only get here. Like most Japanese drinks, it was too sweet to taste the matcha flavor. The bread was great. I recommend the salt butter roll over the character bread. This roll is absolutely fantastic. If the line wasn't so long, I think I would have bought two boxes of 12 and brought them home.

🍞🍵 Okayama Kobo – Anaheim, CA 🍵🍞 Amazing bakery! 😍 The moment you walk in, it smells like fresh, warm bread 🥖✨ — pure heaven. Their banana matcha 🍌🍵 was so good, and there’s a huge variety of bread and pastries 🥐🍰 to choose from. They even have dog treats 🐶🦴, which is such a cute touch! Everything I tried was delicious — nothing disappointed 🙌💖. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! 🥰

You might have to wait a bit, but totally worth it! The bread is super soft and so good. Only downside — it doesn’t taste the same the next day, so make sure to eat it fresh! The drinks were all pretty good too.

Def try to get here early when they open. We arrived around 1030/11a and there was a long line . I think it took about 20 min to order the breads. Once you get to the cashier to pay for your bread, they’ll ask if you want a drink too, which you’ll pay for at the same time. But you’ll have to wait additionally for the drink to be made. I think we waited another 20 min or so for it to be ready. There’s outdoor seating but not a lot of umbrellas to protect you from sun so we took our food to a nearby seating area that had huge umbrellas. The breads were so good and soft. They had run out of a few things I wanted to try (plain salt butter roll and curry pan) and I didn’t wanna wait 20+ min for a fresh batch. Next time ! The breads we ordered were : japanini, matcha mochi red bean bun, everything seasoning salt butter roll, cookie salt butter roll, sunrise, matcha sunrise, honey croissant and cinnamon roll. Everything very good ! Comes in a cute box too Their drinks were nothing special. We got the seasonal pumpkin latte and regular matcha latte. I didn’t realize the matcha latte would be sweetened - I think it was some sort of vanilla syrup (it reminded me of vanilla bean ice cream slightly). I couldn’t taste ANY matcha. Bc their drinks weren’t impressive, I would skip the additional ~20 min wait. Their merch was super cute.

The line to order was super long, and it took ~30 minutes to get our bread and drinks, but it was worth it! I got the viral banana cream matcha latte, and I was surprised at how much I loved it! It has this addicting banana flavor that perfectly complemented the matcha without overpowering it. The entire aesthetic of the cafe is also super adorable! From the signage outside to the graphics on the cups, every little detail really makes this cafe special. I’ll need to try the salt bread next time :)
Angie Z — Google review
Such a cute and delightful bakery! I really enjoyed their vanilla bean custard-filled Kobo Kuma pastry, and the salt and butter roll was delicious. Also their iced lattes were so good!
Sarah K — Google review
I enjoyed coming to this bakery. Roughly waited about 10-15 minutes in line, but it’s all worth it! I ordered the original sunrise and salt bread, definitely salt bread for the win. If you have a furry friend, they offer dog treats as well which my dog loved! I also tried their limited time seasonal pumpkin drink and it was delicious. The shop itself is super cute and staff were extremely welcoming and kind!

This place is absolutely delightful. The pastries are delicious and mouth watering. I happened to find it on IG and was shocked to see the line so long. Once I tried it, I totally understood and was hooked. You can't go wrong with anything you try. I love the salt and butter, jalapeño, and everything rolls and strawberry angel bun. I also got their sandwich bread, which is so soft and tasty and made in-house. The customer service is top-notch.

Porto's Bakery and Cafe, with multiple locations in the Los Angeles area, is a popular Cuban bakery known for its lively atmosphere and delicious offerings. Visitors can indulge in a variety of freshly baked goods, including cheese rolls, potato balls, and guava-filled pastries. The cafe also serves up Cuban sandwiches and other Latin snacks like tamales and croquetas de pollo or de jamon.
Gosh this place is hella busy and there is always a line up. To our surprise they are very efficient in moving the line up though but expect at-least a 30 mins wait. May not be a good place to get your caffeine in, especially if you are on the go. Decent baked goods. The match drink is okay if you like a light matcha taste. We prefer a strong bold Matcha taste and this one is far from offering that. These are everywhere in Los Angeles and they have build a reputation cafe place.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Porto’s Bakery – Buena Park, CA Porto’s Bakery in Buena Park is truly one of my favorite places to visit whenever I’m in Southern California! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked pastries and coffee instantly makes you smile. The display cases are filled with irresistible treats—my personal favorites are the guava pastries, cheese rolls, and of course, the famous potato balls. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Even though Porto’s is incredibly popular and always busy, the customer service is exceptional. The staff is friendly, efficient, and there are always plenty of them to keep things moving quickly. The line might look long, but it moves fast thanks to how well organized everything is. The establishment is spotless, from the counters to the cafe area, and it’s such a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastries. Speaking of coffee—theirs is delicious and pairs perfectly with any of their baked goods. Parking can get a little crowded, especially on weekends, but it’s worth it every time. Porto’s is a true Southern California staple—a must-visit for anyone who loves great food, great service, and an all-around delightful experience!

We can't leave California without visiting PORTO'S - IYKYK!!! The guaranteed long lines, no matter when you go confirms how incredibly good this bakery is! Prices are very reasonable and bakery items are heavenly made. It really is that good! We got the coffee cake this time as well as their signature guava pastries and everything else on the menu, lol. This is a 10000% cheat day that's well worth it! Ordered a vanilla chai Latte which was perfect. They have an efficient system to take your order. Plenty of seating and staff is sweet! Which we had this on the east coast.

114/10 My first time at this spot(Buena Park), we ordered cheese rolls, guava pie and Cubano (Cuban Sandwich). The Cubano comes with plantain chips, crispy! I really like the Cubano, the meat is flavorful and the portion is big, can share with two people. The guava pie is just sweet, not my jam. The cheese rolls are my all time favorite, classical comfort food! We also bump into a Labubu meet up group haha, they are so cute!!

Portos is great, bakery, drink, everything. Only one thing that needs huge improvement... traffic. If ever they are reading this review, put several staffs at the parking lot (or the exit) to help with traffic in and out. I am sure they can afford or spare several people to do that. FYI, average wait time for bakery is about 25 - 40 mins at least on weekend.

Went to Buena Park location on Saturday morning. Line outside to get in. It was not too bad of wait lines moves quickly. All the counters I went to order/pick up were all quick. Everyone know what they are doing. Great customer service! Picked up 6 dozens cheese rolls, 2 dozens guava cheese, 2 dozens dulcet de leche besito cookies for work trip to out of state. Got breakfast sandwich and guava juice. Everything always great at Portos! I wish there are more locations. Hopefully one day they'll expend to San Diego, airports and other states!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Fullerton, Patty's Cakes and Desserts has been a cherished destination for sweet lovers since 1985. This delightful bakery is renowned for its stunning custom cakes, particularly popular for weddings and special occasions. With an inviting atmosphere filled with colorful decor and glass displays brimming with delectable treats, it’s hard not to be enchanted by the offerings here.
I’ve been coming to Patty’s Cakes and Desserts for many years, but this was my first year ordering a full sheet cake for my daughter’s first birthday and it was perfect. The cake was so delicious and my guests kept coming up to me and raving about how good it was. We selected the vanilla cake with the vanilla Bavarian cream. I ordered a plain sheet cake which was designed so beautifully with all of the piping of the icing and I just added my edible flowers to it. We will continue to get this sheet cake for my daughter’s future birthday parties.

Patty's Cakes provided the most delicious 3 tier wedding cake for my wedding. The delivery was seamless and all of my guests kept asking me where I got my cake from. My new favorite cake! - I first tried Patty’s cakes at a baby shower, so when it came to ordering a birthday cake, I knew where I’d go. I ordered the confetti cake because it was available in less than 3 days. Not only was it delicious but it was beautiful. The cake is moist and not overly sweet with heavy icing. The custard filling was so good! The cake was a hit at the party and everyone was asking where I got it. I will be ordering all future cakes from Patty’s cakes.

We are so happy we chose Patty’s Cakes for our wedding — everything was truly perfect! From our first interaction, the team was warm, helpful, and incredibly professional. They made excellent recommendations on cake size based on our guest count and helped us stay within budget. The price was amazing for the quality and service we received. And the cake? Absolutely stunning and unbelievably delicious. It was moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated — exactly what we had envisioned. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good it was (and neither could we!). Patty’s truly delivered both in taste and design. If you’re looking for a bakery that offers top-notch service, incredible flavor, and beautiful presentation, we can’t recommend Patty’s Cakes enough. They made the process stress-free and were such a special part of our big day!

I went through Wedgewood Weddings as this was a partnered vendor with my venue. I highly recommend, it came out just like the inspo pic and tasted so good! Chaupain Bakery is a delightful French bakery with locations in Laguna Hills and San Clemente. They are known for their delicate pastries, including croissants filled with strawberries and cream, as well as seasonal fruit tarts. Visitors rave about the freshness and deliciousness of their croissants, which are not overly sweet or greasy. The almond custard chocolate croissant and mixed berry bateau croissant are also highly recommended.
Chaupain never fails! This bakery is so loved by me that I am always eager to introduce friends and family to it. The croissants are hands down the best I’ve had - better than what I’ve had in Paris. The quality of the food is always 10/10 but what really motivated my review today was the impeccable service we received by this gentleman who had curly hair and hazel eyes (shout out to him)! He made today’s experience so warm and welcoming that I was so proud my best friend could see why I love Chaupain so much. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and as we were about to leave, he sent us home with some treats. Now, what he didn’t know was that he gifted us with the very treats that I was sitting there thinking, “I really want to try that custard berry croissant. And if only I had space for my favorite pistachio croissant, I wish I could share it with my friend so she could see how wonderful it is.” All that on top of the fact that my dad had been in the hospital for the past two weeks - this man’s act of kindness went such a long way. I wish I knew his name. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ♥️

I got the pistachio croissant and at it at 135pm, so the chance of it still being great was not particularly high in my mind. The sound was also not optimal, but it was good. I was wrong and from the first bite, the texture, crunch and softness was definitely there! I'm impressed. So probably considerably higher than a 4, but I just couldn't give it a 5 unless it was transformative. Definitely gets high marks from me, and I'll make it a point to get another one in the morning sometime.

I didn’t finish my omelet (although I was hungry). Controversial place. My omelet assumingly was made out of cheapest eggs you can buy. It was so rubberish that they could make a trampoline out of it and jump all day long. Other dishes were not that great as well. Bakery is ok though. Not worth the money, imo.

Got dang. We got the croissant sandwhich with eggs, gouda and avacado. *chefs kiss* it was rich and divine. Bruh, the turkey sandwhich with ficcocia was so good. I honestly felt like I was in a bakery in paris. The pastries were delicious and we also got the roast beef sandwhich with eggs, i forgot what its called, its one of the breakfast specialties. That was also good. It's a nice spot. I didn't try any of their lattes or drinks, but they looked good. Next time. Edit: came back a second time. The service is 10 stars. Justin was an amazing server. I had their lattes, we orderd a bunch of pastries and sandwhiches. The best. Love this place. Literally feel like im back in paris. I also orderd the salad, so filling and delicious. This is my favorite resteraunt in orange county and socal.

I loved this bakery/cafe, which I visited for the first time, on 8/19/25. They have quite an imaginative variety of fresh-baked pastries, & all of them look so pretty in their lengthy glass patisserie cases. Of the 3 pastries we tried, I liked the Cinnamon Apple Cruffin best. It was like having Grandma's apple pie, placed in the center of a light & flaky croissant. My next favorite was their Coconut Passion Fruit Cake-a delicate multi-layered cake, topped with a creamy frosting, with tart & tangy passion fruit jelly in between layers, plus a bit resting on top of the frosting. Scratch Bakery Cafe has a decent menu of food choices, including breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, & the like, plus a fairly impressive list of lunch sandwiches, cradled in their delicious fresh-baked bread. Speaking of bread, cello-wrapped loaves of different varieties of breads are available for purchase here, as are wrapped packs of multiple cookies types, as well. I had a Turkey Avocado Sandwich, on sourdough. This sandwich was tasty, & it came with choice of potato chips, or potato salad. I got the potato salad, & really enjoyed how creamy it was, plus I loved the dill & herb nuances. Overall, the sandwich was really good, with lettuce, tomato, avocado, red onion, cheese, plus 3 thin slices of turkey. For $15.95, I felt they could've added a bit more turkey, on this one, if I'm honest. The sourdough toast it was served on, was amazing. Scratch Bakery Cafe serves a full selection of coffee drinks, & I chose a medium Americano, which I really enjoyed, with a Chocolate Bomb mousse goodie. The coffee complimented this delicate chocolate treat, so nicely! They have a large wrap-around outdoor patio, with lots of tables & chairs. I found this to be a relaxing place, to enjoy delicious fresh-made food & treats. It was hard to find fault with this bakery/cafe, hence my 5 star rating.

My friends and I had a staycation in the area and found this wonderful bakery to have breakfast at. The food was delicious and there were a lot of pastries and breads to choose from.

The Black Forest ham and egg sandwich used to be amazing. They have discontinued Swiss and now use some sort of processed white cheddar sauce. It is gross. Upon ordering, I specifically asked if it is legit cheddar or if it’s processed cheese food. They said legit. Please educate your staff if you’re going to commit to serving low quality food. You’ve lost at least 2 customers for life now. Very disappointing.

This is a great place to get breakfast. It also is very popular and gets busier year after year. I remember going there in the morning and it was not as busy, but through the years I've seen it first hand get more and more busy.

Cool little bakery cafe for breakfast and lunch. Third time here, and I wanted to try something with the home made english muffins. Eggs benedict was the choice! Eggs were cooked great, english muffin was delicious and hollandaise was well done as well. Breakfast potatoes were good but lukewarm at best. Hubby had the breakfast burrito with sausage which he said was excellent. Coffee was a delicious roast. The only negative is that you have to purchase refills….You should at least get one refill. It was a nice day so we sat outside in shade. There was so many yummy goodies in the case I wanted to try them all but resisted!
Charlene B — Google review
I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was so bitter I couldn’t eat it. My latte had foam, but not the creamy kind, more like soap bubble and it tasted awful. The matcha latte wasn’t even green and just tasted like overly sweetened milk. reallly disappointing overall. would not recommend.
Nima — Google review
Had the egg florentine and vegetarian burrito with latte and matcha. We couldn't finish our food, the quality was so low. The matcha tasted like soap, was barely green, the foam on the latte was like a soap foam. The matcha was also super sweet, I wasn't asked if I wanted it to be sweetened or not qheb I ordered. The eggs were pale, showing they were the cheapest quality. The burrito tasted bitter, it came in a huge plate with no sides! This was our first and last time here.

Bakery
FKN Bread is a bakery in Orange County that offers innovative and delectable pastries, including savory stuffed croissants and indulgent danishes. The bakery's charming ambiance adds to its appeal, making it a must-visit for pastry enthusiasts. The bakery is named after the owners' three sons and was born out of their passion for experimenting with different types of bread at home.
My favorite bread bakery in South OC. They make a great sourdough and it comes in a few different flavors. Their croissants and other pastries are pretty good. The star of the show is the honey biscuit. It is to die for and they sell it to heritage bbq as well. It's only available on certain days of the weekend.

We stopped by this bakery right before heading into The Mission. FKN are initials of their sons. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in. From the outside, I thought it was bigger but it’s a cute tiny little grab and go place. Each of the pastries are on display. Then I noticed this bakery specializes in everything sourdough which is my least favorite bread. We got ham and cheese sourdough croissant and chocolate sourdough croissant. Even though I’m not a fan of sourdough, it wasn’t tastable in the ham and cheese but very noticeable in the dark chocolate croissant. Had the sour salty flavor. It’s a matter of preference and sourdough is just not for me. I also wished they could have offered to heat it up. Instead it was cold and hard. They sell fresh baked loaves and we were told they sell out quickly.
My L — Google review
The sourdough baklava pistachio paste croissant ("waSOH", lol) is the best real croissant I've had since Layercake in Irvine, CA before they changed their vendor around 2014. The closest in OC has been Cream Pan in Tustin, CA, but no match for the flaky, crunchy yet soft sound, texture, and taste of the FKN Bread example. It's basically like the one I had in France over 20 years ago. I'm kinda wishing I lived closer so I could have it a little more often! Update: The "regular" sourdough croissant was just as amazing, so it wasn't the flavoring that did it. It's the bread. Very hard to do so many kudos!! Please never change the recipe. If the market ever demands a crappy crescent from you, so be it, but please never take away this absolute ambrosian delicacy from the menu even if you only end up making a small amount each day, and please label them accordingly 😊

I just found out that FKN Bread has sourdough croissants and I'm in Heaven! I got the almond croissant and it was so delicious. So flaky and buttery and perfect. I'll definitely be going back here to try their sourdough cinnamon roll. If you love sourdough and live anywhere within driving distance of FKN, be sure to go! But make sure you check the hours bc they are closed on Mon and only open til 4 Tue-Sun

I tried the classic sourdough from here and it was pretty fire. They couldn’t slice it for me since it was too fresh out of the oven so I did it myself at home. Didn’t come out perfectly, but i could still cut through the best I could. I would come back and want to try the jalapeño cheese!

We love FKN Bread!! Yes a slice of sourdough with banana PB and honey is definitely easy to make at home BUT on FKN sourdough bread it’s an even yummier treat. The Italian sandwich is also the bomb. We decided to take home pizza dough that’s ready to go and comes with very easy instructions… our homemade pizza was delicious❤️

Good sandwiches We tried: The Beet The Tuna - subbed Avo for the cheese Both on sourdough Yum Sourdough Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie Good Honey Biscuit - a little sweet for us and really not a biscuit. This was more like a cake? Super friendly. We walked out and said wow everyone is having a great day !

Amazing Cakes, located in Anaheim, has been impressing locals with their exceptional cakes since 1991. Their reputation for creating fantastic cakes has led to collaborations with renowned hotels such as Radisson and Sheraton. The business is also known for its outstanding customer service, as demonstrated by a heartwarming story of the owner going out of her way to ensure a child received his birthday cake.
I purchased from amazing cakes for the first time in June for my niece's birthday. I purchased 2 additional cakes in August for my nephew and son's birthday. The three cakes were all different flavors and everyone at each party said they tasted great. The cakes weren't extravagantly decorated but were EXACTLY what we wanted. The staff is friendly and awesome customer service

Hello , I recently purchased a cake for this location. The cake I ordered was a simple regular white cake with strawberries inside and a customize picture on top. The cake seemed to be what we ordered until it was time to cut it … it was horrible. The filling was extremely full of sugar A grainy texture of sugar ! No joke a bag of diabetes. There is no way it was edible. I regret not reading the reviews before. There is no way this was not some type of mistake they made . Nobody ate the cake it went straight to the trash. And believe me I am not a picky person just don’t waste your time going here :( extremely disappointed 😢keep in mind it was a $60 cake

Very professional, helpful and the cake combos are delicious! I had never bought a cake for an event before, and they made the process so easy. The cake came out beautiful and it was delicious! It was a 70s themed cake. I don't remember the exact names of the combos but one tier was lemon cake with raspberry. The other tier was strawberry. Thanks ladies!

I had an adventure time cake done for my 17th birthday & it turned out to be so so so cute and exactly what I wanted. The cake was strawberry and it was so yummy and moist. The frosting was very good too, not super duper sweet which was nice. Edith helped us & was super nice. Definitely will be coming back for upcoming birthdays & events! :))

Wow! These cookies are amazing. I'm not usually a fan of cookies but these are so good. We had a great chat to the owner who tells us these are all homemade and the store is locally owned and operated. Its so awesome to see such a dedicated small business like Hapa Cakes. We'll definitely be back.

Okayyyy…let me tell you - this bakery is 🔥🤌🏽💯! I was in Fullerton (from Riverside) for my son’s baseball event and decided to try this bakery. Best decision! I got the butter cookie with the biscoff cookie on top-it was bomb. I also got some cupcakes and a brownie for my family. They devoured them, even my husband who doesn’t topically like sweets loved it. He said his cupcake, the cinnamon cupcake, was the best he’s tasted and the frosting was delicious. The cashier (I’m assuming an owner) was so sweet and helpful. She even recommended to get a coffee next door (great coffee). When I’m in Fullerton again, I’m definitely going back. Do yourself a favor and try this place out, you won’t regret it! 💯 recommend!

Horrendous service, my wife went in quickly attempting to purchase some of their banana pudding as we had often gone to the location in Brea and this was on the way for us. They have a self-serve style fridge where you can grab the items you want from the fridge and pay for them. They had the larger containers of pudding in the fridge, we grabbed 2 to purchase and we were rudely told by one of the employees that they were in fact NOT for sale, well not until the following Monday. I guess having the product in the fridge and where customers are meant to purchase does not in fact mean that you can purchase said items. They probably wanted it to sit for a day because there is no way they will sell you fresh pudding. They forced us to purchase the smaller containers, which are more expensive for the same amount of pudding if we wanted to buy some. Stick to the Brea location so you don't get discriminated against.

This an absolute gem of a cupcake shop and bakery. They offer vegan, gluten free and other diet-friendly options. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Cakes on display looked so cool! I had a few cookies and cupcakes and they were really good..like really really good! They have so much to choose from i was very impressed. Absolutely incredible cookies and cupcakes! It’s a must try. It’s so hard to describe, but the cookies have a dense, satisfyingly chewy texture to it! I personally would drive from out of town into Fullerton just to get their addictive cookies!!! Karolin is hands-down one of the sweetest, down-to-earth human beings you’ll meet! It’s especially fitting that she is a decorator at THE SWEETS SHOP! Go! Don’t think. Just go experience a little bit of heaven! 😇
Dung P — Google review
Used to love coming here was one of my favorite spot for unique cookies and cupcakes but in all honesty the customer service absolutely wrecks it. For starters, it’s kinda of upsetting not ever getting a hello, welcome in when coming into their shop. Constantly seeing a white person come in and then instantly greeting them, asking how’s your day? But when someone’s Hispanic comes into there brea location barely a hi how can I help you? Just being ignored most of the time, no conversation, feeling rushed when ordering, overall just feeling unwelcome. It’s upsetting seeing a person getting better treatment than another. I used to come here monthly but after today I just won’t ever come back. Another, thing there cupcakes and cakes are good however there cakes don’t meet the same expectations. We ordered a cake last year and it wasn’t the best and incorrect. Although we both agreed that it was miscommunication on both parties they didn’t handle it the best and basically just stopped emailing us back. They do have good reviews but keep in mind you get reward for leaving a review here.

This place has really good parking that you can find right behind the store. I like that they have an entrance and an exit which makes it really easy to get around. The inside of the shop is very cute and bright. Their display instantly shows you everything that they have. Also the free sample that I had made me certain that I would be very satisfied with my purchases and I am. I would definitely go here again. My boyfriend recommended this place after he was able to enjoy some of their goods at an office party. We got a Oreo cupcake and some cookies. They apparently also do cakes for weddings but we didn't go there for that. Yet...

Cute, little French pastry shop. I ordered the Yuzu and Lemon Tart, the Le Mille Feuille, and a decadent chocolate slice. The lemon tart, WOW! Now that’s how a lemon tart should taste, perfectly tart with the subtle hint of sweetness of the cream. The Le Mille Feuille was also quite exquisite with a dreamy vanilla bean cream. Pricey but well worth the amazing taste! Will be back to try some other pastries later.

Ordered a crepe, avocado toast line, Nutellachiato, and a latte. Service was great friendly and helpful. Was surprised on the toast flights they were pretty big slices. This dish was more of a sharable dish. The taste was unique for each toast but was pretty good. The favorite pf the order was the Nutellachiato very delicious.

Stopped by here after a night at Villains Brewery for something sweet. Parking: This spot is located inside the Anaheim Packing District. If you plan on driving, don't do it. Get dropped off. Finding a parking spot is a nightmare. Ambiance/Environment: They're located in the right corner once you enter the packing house. There's a display of all their desserts and pastries. They also have their own small seating area inside. Service: There were two workers, and they were simply quick & efficient. Desserts & drinks: I ordered the Tres Leches Latte and a Tuxedo cake slice (I forgot the exact name, but it was the last piece of cake that night). The Tres Leches Latte was sweet and tasted exactly as it sounds. The tuxedo cake slice perfectly satisfied my sweet cravings. The chocolate layers were delicious, and it was surprisingly not too sweet. Pricing: Prices are definitely more than average. My drink was a little over $8 after taxes, and the cake slice was $13. I'd try their other desserts since I really enjoyed the cake slice. This is the type of spot to treat yourself once in a while.

Rye Goods is a charming bakery with a delightful aroma of freshly baked goods that welcomes you upon arrival. Their wide array of bread and pastries, made with high-quality ingredients, ensures there's something to suit every taste. The Egg Bagel Sammy is particularly recommended for its delicious preparation, especially when paired with a pistachio rose latte. The bakery offers a cozy sitting area perfect for both individuals seeking a quiet spot to work and families in need of more space.
Rye Goods is truly a hidden gem! This modern and stylish coffee shop offers a spacious environment that's perfect for both getting work done or gathering with friends. The atmosphere is inviting and well-suited for anyone needing a productive workspace or just a cozy spot to relax. One unique feature is that Rye Goods shares a dining area with the pizza place next door, which I haven't tried yet, but it's definitely on my list. Another standout is how impeccably clean the restrooms are—a detail that adds to the overall pleasant experience. Rye Goods is a fantastic spot that I highly recommend!

This past weekend, we missed our usual visit to the farmers market to pick up our favorite sourdough bread. Looking for an alternative, we came across a hidden gem—Rye Goods, a charming little bakery not far from the old Marine Corps hangars. The shop may be small in size, but it offers an impressive variety of artisanal breads and baked goods, all at very reasonable prices. From hearty sourdough loaves to sweet pastries and savory treats, there’s something for everyone. Rye Goods also features a spacious and welcoming seating area, making it an ideal place to slow down and enjoy a coffee paired with a fresh pastry. Whether you’re in the mood for a relaxing brunch, a light lunch, or just need to grab something on the go, the shop provides a cozy and convenient atmosphere. The quality of the products and the thoughtful setup of the space make it clear that this bakery is more than just a place to buy bread—it’s a community spot worth returning to. Discovering Rye Goods turned what could have been a disappointing bread-less weekend into a delightful new experience, and it’s definitely a place we’ll be visiting again soon.

I have been here a couple of times. The people are friendly and I really like their service. There is a unique flavor that comes with rye sourdough, which can make many of their pastries and breakfast items a hit or a miss for me. My favorite so far was a donut I had earlier today. Definitely a different twist to a typical donut you would find anywhere else. I like supporting businesses like this one. I would recommend giving them a visit if you haven’t done so yet. Just be prepared, I would have to say that it is quite expensive for breakfast/brunch.

We stopped by for coffee and pastries a couple of days ago. I had previously picked up some bread on my way over to a breakfast invitation and liked it a lot. This time was no different. The coffee was top notch and pastries were wonderful. More importantly I was very impressed by the two ladies who took care of us. They were kind and very helpful, and when there was a mixup with our order they offered to remedy it very generously and made the whole experience a pleasure. Will definitely go back and recommend to anyone who's looking for great coffee, artisan bread and a wonderful atmosphere to work or hang out at.

Nestled in the heart of Orange County, OC Baking Co has been a beloved staple for nearly two decades, thanks to its founder Dean Kim. This artisanal bakery primarily caters to local restaurants and hotels, providing them with an array of exceptional breads like sourdough, pretzel loaves, ciabatta, and classic baguettes. While they don’t have a retail shop open to the public every day, you can find their delightful offerings at the Orange Home Grown Farmers Market every Saturday.

Do not patronize Dean’s business. He is unethical, uncaring and greedy. Last week I was parked in the parking lot adjacent to his bakery when one of his employees negligently lost control of a dumpster and that dumpster ended up slamming into the back of my car. The overall damage wasn’t significant but I do need a new tail light. It would cost an estimated $200 to have someone repair the tail light but upon contacting Dean he refused saying he was not liable due to windy conditions that day. There is video proof that Dean’s employees were using that dumpster when it slammed into my car. The damage was well under my insurance deductible and Dean seemed to know that and told me to pound sand. I then asked him in an email to buy the $60 tail light lens for me and he has refused to respond. I even made it easy for him and supplied an amazon link for the part. Dean has decided that he would rather save $60 than do the right thing. I will be posting this story on every one of his online review and social media pages. Do business with him at your own risk.

My husband and I recently got married at SeaCliff Country Club and had the most beautiful cake from Sweet Trader's Bakery! We went in for a complimentary tasting, which was so much fun! We had a hard time deciding which flavors to choose because there were so many delicious options and combinations. We ended up opting for a marble cake with cookies and cream filling for one layer, and chocolate cake with praline cream for the other two. Both turned out delicious and our guests loved them. Their staff was incredibly helpful in designing our cake to perfectly match our theme and decor. She gave suggestions and customized the design; it turned out perfect. They provided us with gold cake board to match our decor for no additional cost. Andrea was always quick to reply to our emails and was flexible and supprotive when we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to COVID. They offer gluten free options, which was important for several of my guests and myself. Sweet Traders also includes a one year anniversary cake, so you don't have to worry about storing that top tier or slice in your freezer! Our experience with Sweet Trader's was so wonderful and we would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a cake for their wedding or special event!

Elizabeth and her team did a great job with our tasting day, even going as far as drawing out the design on the spot for us to review with her! The cake was everything we had hoped for and more on our wedding day, and was a hit with all of our guests! Would recommend 10/10!

I was referred by a friend to a Sweet Traders when I was looking for cupcakes for my son's birthday. I had a great experience with Sweet Traders: the communication was easy and quick, their ideas for the cupcakes design were nice and simple (we had a Harry Potter theme, and they put the golden snitch on top of vanilla cupcakes), and the price was good. Now the cupcakes: I ordered mini cupcakes - ideal size for kids, and they were with the ideal amount of sugar. They were delicious. From now on, I'm ordering from Sweet Traders.

I rush ordered a gender reveal cake that needed some creative solutions(I liked the look of a naked cake but wanted the gender color inside) and Sweet Traders handled it like pros! I got the cake and it was gorgeous and perfect for my party. It had a light and fluffy taste that was to die for. Thank you for an amazing memory and experience!!

Cinderella Cakes is a renowned bakery that has been featured on various TV shows and specializes in creating custom cakes. Customers have praised the bakery for its delicious Triple-fudge chocolate cake, which can be ordered online or over the phone. The cakes not only look stunning but also taste amazing, making them worth every penny. In addition to custom cakes, the bakery offers a variety of cupcakes that have received high praise for their exceptional flavors.
We were out of town and wanted to make my daughter’s birthday special considering it was her 18th! I came across Cinderella Cakes and I placed a 48 hour cake order over the phone for my girl’s birthday! She’s a chocolate lover and they had the Triple-fudge chocolate cake you can order online or over the phone. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of the cake after we cut it, but it was absolutely delicious and my description wouldn’t make it a justice!! It was very chocolatie, but not crazy sweet, it was a very well balanced cake. I also added the #18 chocolate decor to symbolize the birthday! Definitely recommending this place!

My all time favorite bakery in Costa Mesa and Laguna Niguel! I've had 3 amazing custom birthday cakes made and dozens of beautiful cupcakes shaped like a wedding dress for my bridal shower over the last 15 years and they were absolutely delicious!

I picked up six varieties of cupcakes for my sister in laws birthday. All we exceptionally good. I personally loved the lemon flavor, but my husband said his s’mores one was fabulous too! I had bought my daughter’s wedding shower cake here back in 2020. I’ll just say there wasn’t one piece left.it was wonderful. Thank you!

Went in for a cupcake, was completely ignored by the girl behind the counter even though she saw me standing there looking at her. Finally, someone else came out and so I purchased a cupcake but was disappointed. It was dry and tasted several days old.

Best wedding cake to date! I deeply appreciate cake and pastries, so take my word for it. This particular wedding cake was not only stunning but also flavorful, moist, rich, and all around delicious. I am now a Plumeria Cake Studio fan!

We can't say enough good things about Plumeria Cake Studio! From the initial consultation to the moment we cut into our wedding cake, the entire experience was exceptional. The cake tasting was an event in itself – the flavors were out of this world! It's not an exaggeration to say that Plumeria's cakes are in a class of their own. They were so delicious, moist, and flavorful, unlike any wedding cake we've ever had. Beyond the taste, the cake was also a work of art. The owner listened intently to our vision and ensured that every detail, from the design to the flavors, was exactly as we wanted it. They truly brought our dream cake to life. And to top it all off, the delivery was flawless and right on schedule. Plumeria Cake Studio provided a stress-free and truly enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a wedding cake that not only tastes amazing but also looks stunning and perfectly reflects your style, we wholeheartedly recommend Plumeria Cake Studio!

Plumeria Cake Studio provided our delicious wedding cake. Plumeria was recommended to my husband and I by our wedding planner. We had tried several other wedding cake’s but Plumeria’s was hands down the tastiest. We met with Jennifer and she let us try several different flavors including an extra flavor which we ended up picking as a second flavor in our cake! I’m not a big cake person but I really enjoyed their cake! Our cake was exactly what we wanted and guests loved having the option of two different flavors. Thank you Jennifer with Plumeria Cake Studio for making our wedding cake so delicious and beautiful!

Best cake ever!! The attention to details that Plumeria Cake Studio puts into their cakes shows. From the moist and dense cake, to the excellent flavors options, to the style and designs of the cakes, you can’t find a more perfect bakery. Our family requests birthday celebration cakes from Plumeria Cake Studio every year! If you want to have a cake you remember, that impresses your guests, you have found the perfect bakery. Don’t forget to order ahead and these masterpieces are made especially for you! This cake was chocolate chocolate chip with peanut butter cream cheese frosting and ganache drip and topped with a handmade and painted sugar succulent.

Jennifer did a phenomenal job on the desserts for our wedding in Orange County. First of all, her desserts were hands down the tastiest we tried among other OC bakeries. We wanted a selection of "mini" desserts rather than one big cake, and Jennifer had my favorite (bread pudding) and my husband's favorite (cheesecake) in miniature form, along with many other treats to choose from. The best part were the mini cupcakes that Jennifer decorated to look like potted succulents (our florals for the wedding were mostly succulents). The photo does not even do them justice!! We got so many compliments on how delicious and beautiful the dessert table was. Thank you, Jennifer, for helping make our big day special!

Plumeria did a fantastic job with our wedding cake and matching cupcakes. Incredible range of flavor options and we got nothing but compliments all night! Will absolutely use this bakery in the future.

Jennifer is so passionate, so sweet, so patient, and very professional. She has so many options and everything we tasted during our cake tasting for our wedding were amazing. The cakes are all moist and flavorful and how she designs and creates cake and her desserts are not only good in taste, but makes them beautiful. Her presentation of her creations are great and you can see/feel the love through her creations especially when you take a bite of her treats. She made our wedding cake dreams to a reality. We got so many compliments on how our cakes tasted and everyone ate our cake! We got 2 flavors: the cookies n cream & snickerdoodle cake. Also a bonus is the complimentary anniversary cake a year after the wedding ! My husband and I’s anniversary is coming up on 4/14 & we cannot wait to eat our FRESH wedding cake again & reminisce our wedding day!

Wow. I bought a 30 person 2-tiered cake. We chose lemon and coconut flavors. Not only was the cake beautiful..it was delicious. People were talking about how good it was days later! Their pricing was better than any other bakeries in the area. Thank you Plumeria Cake studio.

Simply Sweet Cakery is a delightful choice for last-minute cake and dessert table requests. The company offers delicious flavors, making it difficult to choose just one. Customers rave about the amazing desserts even years after their events. Working with Brooke and Caroline is a breeze, as they are informative and accommodating. They provide professional service, affordable prices, on-time delivery, and delectable treats that guests love. Highly recommended for weddings or any special occasion!
We reached out to Simple Sweet Cakery to make our wedding cake and they were very courteous and communicative the entire time. We got to pick up a cake tasting kit to choose our flavor and the cake was ready on time and convenient to pick up. Most importantly it was insanely delicious and everyone including people who claimed they weren't big cake fans loved the cake!
Dan M — Google review
Simply Sweet Cakery made the wedding cake of my dreams. They were very responsive, helpful, and professional throughout the process. I knew exactly the cake I wanted and provided them with photos and they did not disappoint. Not only was the cake visually stunning, but the cake itself was moist and delicious. We tried six different flavors to land on the three that would go on each tier of the cake. The tasting cakes were mini cakes to go which helped to make it easy and let family members try in the fun too. Overall, we were very happy with their service and final product.
Alexa S — Google review
We were given Simply Sweet Cakery as one of the bakery options through Wedgewood Weddings. After trying their sample cakes and desserts, I was very excited to select them for our wedding to make a small 2-tier cake and dessert bar for our guests. Our guests raved about all the desserts (cookies, mini cupcakes, bars) and I was very happy with our cake flavor selection (Vanilla with Raspberry Chantilly cream & Strawberry with Vanilla Chantilly cream)! The only reason I removed one star is because I had a vision for the cake, that was shared with the team via email (and rough photo attached here), but it did not end up as I had expected. I purchased a LEGO cake topper off of Etsy, and wanted to tie in LEGO florals and succulents instead of using our fresh florals. I provided a bag of pre-assembled orchids and succulents to place around the cake, but was surprised to see only one of each displayed, making the cake look very plain. I did say it could be adjusted from my suggestion, but I didn't expect that to mean more than half of the parts would be removed. So I think just having a means to communicate day-of, if something is that different, to confirm the couple is happy with the finished product would be helpful in the future. I would still highly recommend Simply Sweet, since everything was delicious! Photo credit: @ashleystrongsmith_

We had an amazing experience with Simply Sweet Cakery for our wedding! Brooke and Christina were very responsive via email and answered all our questions and were able to provide recommendations for quantities for our wedding size. We picked up our cake tasting a few months prior and they also included a box of an assortment of their different desserts like cookies and bars to help us select what we wanted for our dessert table. We got SO many compliments on the wedding cake (went with red velvet) and some have said it’s the best wedding cake they’ve ever had! It wasn’t too sweet, the frosting was perfect and light, the cake was moist and fluffy, and looked beautiful among the mini desserts at our wedding table. All the mini sweets went by so quickly and we could’nt be happier with the outcome! We also rented all the cake stands from them and they set up the layout beautifully! Highly recommend!

The folks over at Simply Sweet are incredible. Everything from ordering our tasting box to our wedding day was easy and Violet and Christina were super kind. We served their semi-naked strawberry cake at our wedding, and we have continued to receive compliments on how incredible our cake tasted. We have actually ordered it two times after the wedding for birthdays because it was so good! Thank you for everything, Simply Sweet Cakery Team! You’ll be hearing from us again soon for another cake order!

We had this company apart of our Wedgewood Wedding package and let me say we were super impressed! The cakes and treats were very delicious and the customer service was absolutely outstanding! The cookies and cream cake was the absolute best! Can't wait to celebrate our anniversary with the tier that we saved! Wonderful experience and would definitely recommend to anyone who's getting married or needs sweet treats for an event!

We had Simply Sweet create our wedding cake in March 2022 and couldn't be happier. They're reasonably priced, responsive, easy to work with, and most importantly, the cake was delicious! Tomgirl bakery made our wedding cake for our October 11 wedding. They did a fantastic job. Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted great as well. We had two layers of the vanilla chiffon with whipped cream and strawberries in the middle with buttercream frosting. We also had one layer of devils food cake with chocolate ganache in the middle and buttercream on the outside. La Brea Bakery is a beloved casual café known for its artisanal handmade bread and delightful light fare. Established in 1988 by Chef Nancy Silverton, this award-winning Southern California bakery began as a solution to her restaurant's need for high-quality bread. Located within Anaheim's Downtown Disney, La Brea Bakery crafts an array of fresh pastries and breads daily using only the finest ingredients.
We spent an evening at downtown Disney and stopped in at La Brea Bakery for dinner. Peter our waiter was great, making some great suggestions for dinner and very attentive throughout the meal. Good cocktails and casual dinning options. Enjoyed the covered deck. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Happiest place on earth.

It was so nice to finally dine here for lunch. The food was very delicious and I savored every bite. The portions were good which is a huge plus for me! I ordered a Bloody Mary that had great flavors. The bread is so savory and fresh. The service was good as well. We are definitely putting this on our dining list for next time. 1-3-23 we came here again and had a wonderful experience. I couldn’t stray away from the La Brea Burger. Like the first one I ordered, it had all the juicy, savory, and mouthwatering flavors I could ask for. My wife had the grilled cheese with tomato soup. For our beverages, I had a Bloody Mary and she had a peppermint tea.

Great restaurant in downtown Disney! The prices are higher, but that’s what you expect eating in downtown Disney. The service was extremely high. Our waiter, Peter, went above and beyond what most normal waiters do. The Burger was super tasty with the best Cajun fries I’ve had in awhile! My wife got a Cobb salad that was very fresh. Great portions! Highly recommend!

Made a reservation for breakfast. Upon arrival the host mentioned that once we order our food inside someone will bring our food to our table and that's it therefore the overall experience is not like a traditional restaurant. Food could've been a bit warmer but everything tasted good. Portions are generous. This was my first time here so I'm guessing pre-Covid things could've been better.

The food was delicious and the portions are equal to the price. At first glance it may seem expensive but you are getting a large quantity that matches the great quality. The seating was fast and the servers are friendly.

This place was really busy. The waiter was very attentive and the food very good. I highly recommend the chimichurri streak sandwich with Cajun fries - very good a little spicy but not too much. The bread on the sandwich was very good.

At Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, you can savor artisanal, gourmet doughnuts made in small batches to ensure a warm, pillowy soft cake interior and crispy edges every time. The butter and salt doughnut and Huckleberry ring are exclusive favorites that will redefine your love for doughnuts. The intoxicating aroma of fried dough with flavors like Cara Cara orange zest and maple bacon icing will draw you in, guaranteeing that you'll leave with more than just one.
the absolute best donut/coffee spot in all of socal. Sidecar puts LOVE into their coffee & you can absolutely tell the difference. They also make all of their syrups in house! They have a seasonal banana latte that i’m hoping becomes permanent, because it’s literally the best coffee i’ve ever had. Their donuts on the other hand, are just as good as the coffee. The butter & salt will always be #1b- as they use quality ingredients for every item they sell. Additionally, they come out with seasonal flavors which are all to-die-for —like the strawberry glaze, dubai chocolate, and more!!! Definitely stop by to try them out if you’re visiting or if you live nearby :)
Kelly G — Google review
A MUST! Found this place via social media influencer, showed up ten minutes after opening, and there was a line out the door. Customer service was brilliant, and the atmosphere was electric. A serious consideration needs to be made for their catering based on their products and customer service. The donuts to buy: hazelnut (no matter what), then the bacon maple, the salt and butter, and the Oreo. Whoever, not a single donut was bad. You can taste the quality of ingredients they use.
Andrew H — Google review
I drove 45 minutes to try Sidecar Donuts, and it turned out to be the biggest disappointment ever. The donuts were bitter, doughy, and completely flavorless.honestly the worst donuts I’ve ever had. They tasted like they were made with old oil or overcooked, which probably explains the bitterness. On top of that, the staff looked unprofessional their aprons were filthy, and no one even smiled or seemed to know what was inside the donuts they were selling. For a place that’s supposed to be premium this was unacceptable. I did get a refund after calling, but that doesn’t make up for the wasted time and effort. I genuinely regret trying their donuts. If you want real flavor and freshness, try JD Flannel Donuts same price or less, and so much better

Best donuts in SoCal 💗All the donuts taste great except the cookies & cream. All donuts are made fresh and have the perfect sweetness levels. The coffee portions are pretty small but taste good. Must try!

Best donut place in the area! The passion fruit one was so good with the jam filling and the cream on top. Not dry at all! Would definitely come again.
Mika N — Google review
The donuts at Sidecar are on another level! Fluffy, fresh, and perfectly made. The chocolate donut is rich in flavor, and the Saigon cinnamon one is absolutely addictive. It is warm, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness. I recently tried the passion fruit - wow! It’s like eating a mini cake. It was sooo delicious! It’s definitely a “fancy donut” place, but you can really taste the quality in every bite. If you’re looking for a treat that feels special (and totally worth the splurge), this is the spot. The staff is always so nice here. There is plenty of parking.

Sidecar never misses. I’m team yeast over cake doughnuts, and their Vanilla Bean Glazed is an absolute must if it’s your first time, so damn tasty. They’ve got rotating daily specials too. Tuesday Twists are my personal favorite, with Friday’s Apple Fritters coming in a close second.
Tony C — Google review
Doughnuts were yummy but coffee needs a bit of work but it’s not bad. Ordered online for pickup and since it was my first time picking up from this place, the instructions were a bit vague. There was a long line when I walked in and didn’t know where to pickup. I saw there was a cart that said “pick up” but you had to ask the cashier to get it for you. I waited a while until the cashier finally gave it to me. Kinda wish there were clearer pickup instructions.

Nestled in the bustling Main St, The Crema Cafe offers a charming European-inspired dining experience. This cozy cafe is known for its delectable breakfast and lunch options, as well as its top-notch espresso. Whether you're craving classic brunch dishes like omelets and pancakes or sweet and savory crepes, this cafe has something for everyone. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors or opt for a relaxing outdoor dining experience on the dog-friendly patio.
Great atmosphere with the hustle and bustle of this cafe. We waited 25 minutes during Sunday brunch hours and ate at the patio. It was nice to have the next door bakery and coffee to hold us over. The spot for cyclists to fuel, trust in the nice bikes outside of the shop. I loved the variety of the menu and drinks here. We enjoyed the breakfast burrito (wish it came with a side!), which came out quickly and was hot. Staff is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

This spot was pretty good! We tried the breakfast sandwich (excellent), banana fosters crape (pretty good but a bit pricey for only getting 1), Arnold Palmer (great!), and a cheese and peach danish (good but probably would have been better earlier in the day. Got their around 2 and were told we had to order take out even though we just stilll ate at one of the tables inside and were finished before they actually started clearing tables at 3pm so that was interesting🤷🏼‍♂️. Overall I’d come back a bit earlier in the day and eat here again!

Super friendly staff and very calm vibes! Not so rowdy inside and just enough space between tables! The patio can be a bit chilly (it's all in shade) so I chose to sit indoors. [FOOD:] Came out very hot, perfectly cooked and scrambled! The potatoes were a bit oily but the sourdough helped even everything out. The French Toast was also really warm and they weren't too bland nor too sweet. A solid good plate of french toast! [SERVICE:] Very quick and surprised how fast my food came out! Once you hear Mexican music from the back, you already know it's gonna be good. Lol The staff was also very friendly and patient with answering my questions and helping me find the restroom. Overall, will definitely come back! I had a great experience and my tummy is incredibly satisfied!

When I’m visiting my daughter in the Pasadena area, we love to have brunch with my brother and sister-in- law who live in San Clemente. We found Crema Cafe last year as our “meeting spot” and went back again last Sunday. Great location and service. We love the menu too as we all enjoy variety. My sister-in-law is vegan and loves the selection. We always have a reservation and they never rush us even though they are packed. We also respect their need to “turn the table”. We loved walking to the pier too! Beautiful spot!

Great place for a nice breakfast/ brunch. A local friend brought us here and we really liked it. She recommended to get here by 8 am to make sure we didn’t have to wait. It was worth waking up early on a Sunday! The coffee is delicious and they have free refills if you are eating here. The chicken pesto crepe was delicious 🤤 and it came with oven roasted potatoes. I also tried the roasted veggies Benedict and it was good, but the crepe was better! They also have nice pastries. My favorite was the raspberry pop tart, wow! We sat outside and really enjoyed our breakfast. I would come back and prices seems to be reasonable for the quality.
Jimena R — Google review
The service was great very attentive! The coffee we got was super sugary but they remade it for us. The Parisian Benedict didn’t taste as great as I hoped - it was nice to try something different but the whole thing is quite mushy in texture. The wait was pretty long but they have a good online waiting system through yelp, so we could walk around while we waited to be called for our table.

Rendez Vous French Bakery and Cafe is a renowned dining destination in Newport Beach, CA, offering an authentic French culinary experience. The cafe boasts a meticulously curated ambiance and exceptional service, making it popular among both locals and travelers. Located in Corona del Mar, this charming spot is known for its freshly made pastries, artisanal breads, croissants, crepes, omelets, traditional egg dishes, breakfast sandwiches, steak and eggs as well as smoked salmon toast.
My wife had a small brunch at her office, and someone brought croissants from this place. Since we had just gotten back from Paris, she knew I was still on the hunt for a good croissant and coffee. She brought one home for me—and wow, the first bite instantly transported me back to Paris. So, on my next day off, we headed down for breakfast. Naturally, I had to have another croissant, but I also couldn’t resist trying their Le Parisien sandwich—which reminded me so much of a favorite spot in Paris. We indulged in a few pastries, and of course, I brought home some fresh bread. This little gem in Corona del Mar was such a pleasant surprise. We’ve since shared it with several friends who’ve also been to Paris, and they all agree: for a brief moment, it truly feels like you’re back at a Parisian bistro—complete with French music. Just a heads-up: this place can get busy. Once they run out of fresh baked goods, that’s it for the day. Seating is limited both inside and on the patio, and it’s all first-come, first-served. Parking is street-only, so plan accordingly.

Rendezvous Bakery has its charms, but it’s a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the space itself is cozy and has a quaint, neighborhood feel, which makes it a nice place to stop in for a quick bite. The service was also friendly and attentive. That said, I ordered the salmon, eggs Benedict, and it was less than mediocre while also having an above average price point creating for me ultimately a 3-star experience—good, but with room for improvement.

We frequent Rendez Vous often for breakfast because this charming place is consistently great on every level. It’s a small, always a busy spot, but the staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their display of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies basically whatever your heart desires is both beautiful and delicious. The coffee and breakfast never miss. If you’re in the area, definitely check out this adorable French café promise they won’t disappoint!

I had this croissant around noon on March 16 2025 at Rendez Vous and it was somewhere between a 3.5 and 4, pretty close to a 4, plus or minus, which is solid for a croissant in the US. 5 would be the best croissant in Paris, a high bar. It certainly looks the part, doesn't it? Looks clue us in, but aren't everything. It did have a decent sound, but it's hard to make a croissant retain the soft/moist/chewy/elastic inside and a crunchy/crackly/buttery/flaky outside hours after baking. Still, if you're in the area, pop in earlier, and tell me how it is. You can tell them I sent you, but they won't know who I am.

Our family has been coming here for years- Best coffee, cappuccinos, mochas etc! Authentic French pastries, croissants and excellent egg dishes made with real ingredients beautifully executed- of course, don’t forget the crêpes! Love the option to sit in and listen to French music or take away. And this is a great place to pickup dessert treats for a dinner or brunch party or a classic baguette! 🥖 A+++

This is just a cute little French bakery that I’m glad we found. I wanted a crepe and drove to another place that was no longer there. I ordered ahead and they had my order ready at the estimated time. If you want to sit down, there is outside and inside tables. There’s a lot of bakery items you can pick up and breakfast and lunch items. I would definitely return!

I’ve seen this little cafe on instagram reels so I took my mom for Mother’s Day today. Super cute and cozy. Just a few small tables inside and a few outside on the patio. They had a steady take out business going today. Lots of yummy, beautiful pastries. I ordered the bacon, ham & cheese omelette, mom had the breakfast taco. Milky Way coffee was delicious too.

Maison Cafe + Market is a charming European-style venue that offers a delightful combination of dining and market experience. Located near Doheny State Beach, this cafe exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it more than just a place to eat. The menu features fresh, organic ingredients sourced locally in Southern California, with influences from the countryside of France and Italy.
If I had to describe my experience at this café in one word, it would be amazing! From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and cozy atmosphere. The interior design was inviting, and the soft background music made the space even more pleasant. The coffee I ordered was exceptional! It had a perfectly balanced taste, a delightful aroma, and you could tell it was made with great skill and care. Every sip was enjoyable, delivering the true essence of a high-quality coffee. Moreover, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted me with warm smiles and even helped me choose the best coffee for my taste. Their kindness and professionalism made my visit even better. Overall, I highly recommend this café! Whether you’re looking for a top-notch coffee or a cozy place to relax, this is the perfect spot. I’ll definitely be coming back! ☕✨

I loved this place. I recommend steak and egg. Its great price and taste. Other two dishes were also awesome.
WILLIAM S — Google review
Such a beautiful place, but the food was unremarkable. The service was nice. The atmosphere was lovely, but none of us were impressed with the weekend brunch even though the prices were great! We ordered the Dutch Baby which was super flat and not fluffy like a traditional Dutch Baby. And the middle was still raw. The crème on top was the star of the dish, but there was very little. The Duck Hash could have been great, but it was super sweet and then there was a pocket of salt like it hadn’t been mixed well. But the duck was cooked well. The Two Egg breakfast was bland. There was no seasoning. Not even salt. I noticed the next table asked for salt and pepper and they self-seasoned their food. It came on a bed of just dry arugula. The berries were fresh, but all in all just not great food. I probably wouldn’t come back to eat, but the atmosphere was nice.
Chelsea G — Google review
Perfect spot for a brunch after a morning hike in the headlands. The space is adorned with charming paintings and feels both vibrant and cozy. The Dutch Baby was the best I’ve ever had: fluffy, almost cake-like but moist. The Chèvre tartine was wonderfully delicious too. Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu!

Excellent staff, the sweet smell of bake bread and hot breakfast of your choice under the umbrella enjoying the sunny weather, great food. Every bit was so good.. try the blueberry jam !!

Really fun little breakfast spot in Dana Point. Everything was really good, karina our server, the menu and the food. It was so good that I came back again two days later. Much better than I expected!

We had a great experience overall, the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the chèvre and my wife had the tomate, and both dishes were full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and very helpful throughout the meal. However, the host at the front door could use some training in hospitality. She seemed disinterested and unwelcoming, which wasn’t a great first impression. Thankfully, the quality of the food and the excellent service once we were seated made up for it. Would definitely come back, but hope for a warmer welcome next time.

The food was good. Nothing amazing, but good. We didn’t get served for a very long time and it was hard to get anyone’s attention, although other tables didn’t seem to have that problem.

Frosted Cupcakery is a specialty bakery located in the heart of Belmont Shores' 2nd Street business district. They offer a wide variety of handcrafted cupcakes, including seasonal flavors like gingerbread cake with lemon buttercream frosting and chocolate peppermint buttercream with Andes peppermint bark. In addition to their regular offerings, they also have gluten-free and ice cream cupcakes available. The bakery is known for its delicious treats and has become a favorite among cupcake enthusiasts.
How do I love thee, let me count the ways! These cupcakes were seriously moist, delicious, not too sweet, and still intensely flavorful. Also, thank you so much for ogfering your treat on UberEats because there was no way I was going to battle Friday traffic. The birthday cake cupcake is so intensely delicious, it's like you're back in third grade and everyone is singing for the birthday girl/boy. The carrot cake was yummy and had a stronger kick of cinnamon than anywhere else I've tried, but in a good way. The chocolate was just decadent. Also, kudos for the environmentally friendly packaging. Seriously, try this place!
Anna B — Google review
I made an order for my child’s birthday a couple weeks ago which turned out better than I expected! One of the employees, her name was Kylie. She was very helpful and empathic. I was really frustrated and indecisive about my cupcakes because time was ticking. She literally is amazing, she helped picked my theme, colors and designs. I couldn’t be more thankful for her service. I haven’t had an experience with that much patience and kindness in a while. Thank you, Kylie! They were delicious!
Kamre K — Google review
I’ve been coming here for over 6 years now, and every year, I always pick up a dozen cupcakes for my birthday. This year they have the pumpkin spice cupcakes and they are the best pumpkin spice cupcakes I have ever had! I also love their strawberry and peanut butter cupcakes. This is my absolute favorite cupcake spot, and I’ve been to a lot.
Rosie H — Google review
Delicious cupcakes in lovely flavors. The mint chocolate chip is my personal favorite. Good for on occasional treat as they are quite sugary and expensive (around 5 dollars per cupcake).
E M — Google review
Looking for ice cream, I go into Frosted Cupcakery then decide a cupcake can be a good post meal option as well. An employee answers my questions about the products, and I actually like other offerings of the establishment aside from cupcakes. The August Vegan Cupcake is the Vegan Chocolate Cupcake: the cupcake is fluffy, sticks a bit to the immediate paper holder, has sprinkles which I barely taste with the chocolate though feel due to the crunch, and has frosting which just adds more chocolatey flavor though with a different texture. During my visit, I recall no nutrition facts being available. I ask for nutrition facts sometimes especially concerning protein and/or sugar (for health reasons, I appreciate the information being available). I like the packaging of the cupcakes (the holder beyond the paper and the bag with a sticker 😅).
Kevin D — Google review
Be advised the cupcakes have just recently gotten a lot smaller by volume and have less frosting. I thought it was just me and there’s another review on Yelp from 17 days ago saying the same thing. Hopefully this review can make Frosted great again by encouraging them to return to the amazing, standard-sized cupcakes that they are known for.
Brendan M — Google review
Frosted has long been a family favorite because their cupcakes are simply the best! My favorite is the strawberry one hands down, but they’re all super delicious. They also always have a fun flavor of the month I like to try. Don’t forget their hi-tops too! These are mini cupcake sandwiches that are so great. The salted caramel one is the best. When I came in yesterday the service was so sweet and kind. The people in front of me were taking forever and asking so many questions but the gal helping them was so nice and patient with them! I always get Frosted any time I have an event that needs dessert and they’re always such a hit!
Julia G — Google review
I was so excited to place a custom cupcake order for a birthday party, and the customer service I received when placing the order was phenomenal and I was so excited to see the final product! When I picked the cupcakes up, I was a little disappointed at the outcome. I was expecting frosting that looked professionally piped on and a presentation that justified the over 100 cost for 24 cupcakes. The frosting was runny and sloppy, and by the time I made the 10 minute drive home they looked even worse for wear. I decided to try some of the frosting since it was already everywhere and it was sickeningly sweet and gritty. Just getting the cupcakes out of the box they became even more ruined. I’m not even sure I want to serve them to guests as they look like something a child could have made. More disappointed than upset with this place, as everyone has bad batches :(

Bakery
Sweet Jill's Bakery, founded by Jill Kinney Pharis in 1987, is a beloved establishment in Seal Beach. The bakery is renowned for its traditional baked goods such as cinnamon rolls, cakes, and muffins. With a history deeply rooted in the Long Beach food scene, Sweet Jill's Bakery has expanded to offer a wide variety of pastries to corporate events and local cafes. In addition to retail, the bakery has ventured into wholesale operations, catering services, and nationwide delivery.
We were just walking around Belmont shore doing some bar hopping when we stumbled upon Sweet Jill’s. It’s soooo rare for a bakery to be open until MIDNIGHT so I was shocked by this to start! There were a few couples in line who are locals and they recommended the cinnamon bun. We also ordered the German chocolate cake , churro cheesecake & pumpkin muffin. OKKKKK. So the cinnamon bun WAS A 10000 out of 10 recommend have to get it. Best cinnamon roll of my life it was insanely delicious I can’t even describe it it was so good. I also loved the pumpkin muffin (which was recommended by one of the employees) my third favorite was the German chocolate cake. It was very delicious but very sweet and rich. I didn’t love the churro cheesecake but my cousin loved it. Def worth a stop. It’s such a cute spot and they have an insane variety of desserts. I love the cupcake bike rack outside, how freaking cute!

CASH ONLY*** surprised I didn’t see that when I checked reviews before going. Only had virtual wallet on me and was able to tap and get cash back at Chase down the street. This is a unique cinnamon roll.. not a sticky bun, definitely giving homemade reminding me family holiday buns the grandma made. I regret not getting the walnut version because it’s just so soft and saturated in a syrup that reminded me more of yellow cake lightly cinnamon pancakes? Hard to describe but different than any cinnamon rolls I’ve tasted. Definitely would go back next time I have a sweet tooth to try the cakes and cookies. Smells so good when you walk in.

My to go for coffee cake and snickerdoodle cookie. This place has been in SB community for ages and been here for decades. It’s small shop with plenty of sweet goods and coffees. There is not much of seating inside but there are benches outside. The smell of baked goods upon walking in just want to get all of the goodies. Service is very friendly and helpful. Not much of decor since all here fill with baked goods. Definitely come back for more soon.

A must stop while in the area. A wide assortment of delicious cakes, cookies, brownies, and other treats. Everyone in here is so sweet. I even had a cake delivered to my boyfriend for his birthday and requested they decorate it the best they could, and they were kind enough to add sprinkles and a birthday candle. Love this place!
Sophia L — Google review
Let me first say the cinnamon rolls are the best and a special treat. I stopped by today with my partner specifically for a piece of cake for my birthday. We chose the yellow cake with chocolate icing. The cake in the case had yellow sprinkles on top. When we got home, our pieces had orange sprinkles on top. Appears we were given two old slices which had been boxed and set aside. The cake was course like cornbread and dry, yet soaked with an ultra sweet syrup that had puddled in the bottom of the containers. The frosting also ultra sweet was thin and tasteless except for what I assume was corn syrup. Better frosting out of a can at the grocery store. Bad cake is one thing, but a bait and switch is something else. This was an old cake sold to be the fresh cake from the case. Have a cinnamon roll. Skip everything else.
Michael L — Google review
I used to come to Sweet Jill’s Bakery years ago when I lived in California, and stopping by again was such a treat — it’s just as amazing as I remember. I picked up the chocolate chip cookies, a red velvet cupcake, and the tres leches cake, and everything was absolutely delicious. The bakery has that incredible smell that hits you before you even walk through the door, instantly making you crave something sweet. One tip: it’s cash-only, so plan ahead. Sweet Jill’s is definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area!

Sweet Jill's Bakery: A Long Beach Gem! Sweet Jill's Bakery on 2nd St. is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth! I went in for their famous cinnamon rolls (they did not disappoint!), but I ended up walking out with a bag full of goodies. The real star of the show for me was the carrot cake. It was incredibly moist and flavorful, with the perfect amount of frosting. I also loved the coffee cake - soft, delicious, and perfect for a morning treat. Their cheesecakes looked amazing too, so I'll definitely be back to try one next time. My sister couldn't resist the rice crispy treat, and she was so happy she did! Unlike some rice crispy treats that can be hard and stale, this one was soft and fresh. We also tried the snickerdoodle and peanut butter cookies, both soft and bursting with flavor. It's no wonder this bakery has been a Long Beach staple for 37 years. You can really taste the love and tradition in their Swedish recipes. Highly recommend!

Andree's Patisserie is a bakery in Laguna Beach that is known for their wonderful pastries and coffee. Great pastries and coffee in a nearly holler in the wall location. Worth the effort to go find it. Makes a great stop on your bike ride.

Customer service sucks. The owner was rude and sarcastic and got insulted because I asked him if the croissant was toasted. Then asked me what kind of mission I was on. I will admit the food was delicious. Hopefully his attitude will match his food next time.

Went here this past week and it was awesome! The location and decor inside are charming and unique. I got a cappuccino and a cherry cheese danish which were both delicious. Ron took the time to talk to me and was very nice! Side note: If you do not have cash for tip, tell him you want to add the tip before he enters it into the machine because a receipt does not come out that has a tip line!

Sensitive Sweets, located in Fountain Valley, CA, is a bakery that specializes in creating gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, vegan, soy-free, and nut-free desserts. The owner and head baker, Melanie Hohman, draws from personal experience as her son has severe food allergies. The shop offers a variety of treats such as birthday cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, donuts and pies. Most of their offerings are vegan with the exception of a few items containing honey.
Just a quick update on my previous review: I am officially married, and my wedding cake was outstanding! I opted for a simple cake and added my own topper/flowers. My family of gluten and dairy consumers devoured it! Everyone commented on how delicious the cake was. Sensitive Sweets, once again, made my day ♥️ I am allergic to gluten and dairy, which usually means dessert is not an option for me unless I make it myself. Sensitive Sweets has been a godsend. The staff is always friendly and the desserts are INCREDIBLE. My friends and family can't even tell their desserts are allergen-free. My fiance and I are in the process of ordering our wedding cake from Sensitive Sweets. I'll be sure to update my review and share photos once it is complete. I know it'll be amazing ♥️

Our wedding cake was amazing and tasted delicious! The colors matched perfectly and the design went so well with our theme we couldn’t have been happier! We will definitely be returning for our baked needs and can’t wait to see what other beautiful cakes Sensitive Sweets can whip up! We also got the donut holes for an alternative dessert and they were a hit! Thank you so much for making our wedding cake perfectly!

This is one of the rare places where we can eat a tasty treat that is free of dairy, free of gluten, free of soy, free of eggs, and free of nuts. Mel made it so much appealing, pretty, and SO DELICIOUS!!! moreover, her baked goods are easy to digest too, which make them even better. When you think about the number of times we have to decline going to a bakery or to a restaurant just because of our food intolerances and allergies... well, sometimes we just decide to drive the 50+ minutes down the road just to eat some tasty, beautiful, delicious treats, knowing that we can pick absolutely anything she offers, without having to ask to read the label!! We're so happy that she survived the 2020 lockdown!!!!! Oh!! And she sends some of her baked goods by postmail as well (not her beautifully decorated cakes, of course, but the breads, and the cookies and brownies, yes!). 2nd oh!! And the prices are more than reasonable!! I would even say they are low!!
Gemma G — Google review
As someone with a dietary sensitivity to many foods, my husband was unable to eat the wedding cake we had picked out for all of our guests to enjoy. So we decided to also get a groom's cake so he could enjoy some tasty dessert too! Fortunately, Sensitive Sweets had our backs. They were able to accommodate his needs with this low-FODMAP cake. We had a video game theme to our wedding, so he asked them to design it with a Legend of Zelda theme. It both looked and tasted amazing! We've gone back many times for their other tasty treats.
K W — Google review
I have a kid who has many food sensitivities. It’s honestly sad that you can’t just go to a store and and find gluten free/egg free/dairy free gingerbread houses. I assume the idea of “gluten free” hasn’t made it’s way to the holidays. However, I asked around and someone had suggested Sensitive Sweets. I don’t live in California, but I loved that some of their items are offered with shipping! I also ordered in December thinking it would take forever to get here, but the gingerbread house kits I ordered arrived a lot sooner than I had thought! Thank you Sensitive Sweets for offering a gingerbread house so that my son can experience building a house instead of having to just “sit on the side” while other kids get to make one. The kit came with the house, the frosting ingredients pre packed (very easy to mix the frosting and follow the directions), and a few small essentials (trees, snowman, candy cane, etc. plastic pieces for the home)! The directions came with the kit as well to help us build it. We all loved it and enjoyed it together as a family. I will definitely order from here again!
Jessica J — Google review
I cannot eat dairy, and was nervous that for my wedding day I would just not be eating my own cake. However, we found sensitive sweets and it was life changing! They made us the most incredible wedding cake, and a bunch of mini cupcakes for our guest. Everyone LOVED it. No one would have even guessed that it was vegan. I am so thankful that Sensitive Sweets saved the day. Melanie was prompt in responding to us, and the cake arrived right when she promised. Thank you, Melanie!
Brooke H — Google review
I'm allergic to dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, nuts, and many other foods due to a medical condition. We were searching if there was any way for me to have a wedding cake, and it was unbelievable to find that at Sensitive Sweets it wouldn't even require any substitutions or special instructions! We started by ordering a tasting box, and it was my first time trying almost all of those flavors. We decided to go with the midnight chocolate cake (dark chocolate and chocolate chips) with vanilla filling and mocha frosting. Mocha. Is. Amazing. We picked the cherry blossom design and it was stunning! We got so many compliments on the design and flavor, people who didn't have any dietary restrictions were shocked it wasn't a normal cake. It was literally the most delicious thing I've ever had!

I recently had the pleasure of trying a strawberry Dubai chocolate cup from my local bakers, and it was an incredible experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming owner, who was not only sweet but also genuinely passionate about their creations. Their friendliness made me feel right at home. Now, onto the star of the show , the chocolate cup itself. The chocolate was rich and delicious, with a depth of flavor that truly felt authentic. Each bite melted in my mouth, perfectly complementing the fresh strawberries nestled inside. It was a delightful combination that left me craving more. I can't recommend this treat enough! Fill Bakeshop, located in Costa Mesa and founded by James Mullis, offers a unique Hawaiian-inspired dessert experience. The bakeshop is known for its organic and GMO-free malasadas with sugary coatings that pair perfectly with their selection of Hawaiian-inspired ice creams.
My first experience eating Mochi doughnuts and soft-baked mochi cookies was at Fill Bakeshop in Costa Mesa. I would have to say, not only are they beautifully decorated but the taste was an amazing delight 🤤. From the Mango sticky rice doughnut to the Strawberries & cream Mochi cookie. They also have crunch cake, iced coffee, milks, and iced juices.

Mochi + Donut = chewy texture with a warm sweet aroma. Fill bakeshop is worth a visit to pick up a dozen mochi donuts or mochi cookies they serve. The donuts are pretty to look at and can fulfill your sweet tooth as the donuts a fairly sweet. The peach lemonade they serve was a bit too sweet as well. The mochi cookies were worth a try as the Ube cookie I ordered wasn't too sweet and the texture had a nice crisp bite with a soft gooey chew in the center. You'll want milk when visiting this shop so balance out the sweetness of the desserts.

I wanted to believe the hype so I went to the best mochi donut spot in town so that I'd know what else I could compare other places to. Fill Bakeshop is located in Newport and does have its own parking lot. It's a bit confusing when you use your GPS so don't give up! I went here on a rather slow Wednesday afternoon. Thankfully because there was only one other person there, I didn't have to wait too long to order. There are a few items to offer, with the mochi donuts and their specialty ice cream being the most popular. The donuts are also made fresh daily and flavors will run out as the day goes along. Each donut is $2.60 and don't let the menu fool you... you're not actually saving money if you order more. My favorite donuts were the matcha white chocolate and the guava cheesecake. Out of everything to offer, the guava has the most distinct and delicious taste! I felt that the jasmine tea donut was very bland so if you want a basic donut but you're too scared of the flavors, that would probably be best. Strawberry shortcake and black sesame were also delicious. The only reason why I docked a star is because the service here is fairly slow. Even with just the one person in front of me, it took about 15 min for me to order the donuts and leave the store. Imagine how much worse it would've been when it's busy! Other than that, definitely coming back here. I loved the experience and can't wait to see what else they have to offer.

These are my favorite mochi donuts! I live all the way in Oceanside and will drive up here just for a box, I’ve had other mochi donuts from closer establishments but they’re just not as good. They always have such fun flavors, my favorite is Taro. It’s an easy place to spot, though it is small, but with COVID doesn’t really matter right now. They do cost much more than your typical box of donuts, but they’re worth it for a treat.

Who loves mochi donut for a new day? Highlights of the menu: Mochi Donuts: 1. Rose all day 2. Cookies & cream 3. Matcha 4. Guava cheesecake Mochi Cookies: 5. Sea salt chocolate chips 6. Ube snickerdoodle 7. Red velvet red Mochi donuts are the best! This is my new addiction next to boba now. The chewiness and the crunchiness combined with all the good flavors make this desserts so good. The cookies are also mochi cookies because they are chewy like the donuts too. Yummyy!!

I love mochi doughnuts and have been traveling to different cities to try them out from different establishments. Fill is definitely the furthest I've gone so far and let me tell you, I would make that 50+ minute drive again! There were a couple of hiccoughs with my order. For example, I ordered an hour ahead and already got there about 15 minutes after the text saying it was ready, only to be told that it was going to be another 15-20 minute wait time because the glaze for the Brown Butter Sea Salt wasn't ready. There were several other issues I already spoke to management about and they were extremely responsive. Everything was handled with solid customer service, genuine apologies and some free doughnuts. The cost is higher than regular doughnuts because, well, they're way better than traditional doughnuts, let's be honest. But Fill's pricing is on par with most other mocha doughnut shops, so I would consider the cost fair for what you are getting. My friends and I had bought three dozen doughnuts, so several of every flavor they had that day. Everyone who tried one was ecstatic about them. The flavors and texture were spot on. I love the creativity in the glazes and they were the most beautiful mochi doughnuts I've seen so far. I'm very impressed and highly recommend this shop. I would make the drive again out to the OC because they are worth it.

Cashier was very sweet! Love the exotic flavor of Guava cream cheese & Taro which is very Hawaiian! If you want to try something different I would check this place out and decide for yourself. As for me I'm a huge fan!

I’ve been craving mochi donuts ever since coming back from Hawaii. They don’t taste quite the same as MoDo, but they’re a close second. The guava cheesecake was definitely the most unique of the ones I got that day and my favorite. The other 5 flavors that day were good but not very unique.

Pavilions is a Southern California supermarket offering a wide range of groceries, fresh produce, deli items, personal care products, and home goods. Despite being known for its regular grocery offerings, it also surprises customers with excellent macarons from Duverger Macarons, a French family-owned bakery that supplies organic macarons made in traditional French style. The store boasts a well-stocked bakery section where visitors can find an array of delectable treats.
***** Highly recommend ***** I like to go to places several times before I actually leave a review, so I can see that there is consistency. This Pavilions is one of my favorite spots, because they have a really good selection. Altogether the stores kept really good, tidy & clean. Due to all the staff that I see is very courteous & professional, especially for the high-end area where it's at. As well the Manager named *DAREN is very good with people & keeping the store this way 💯. I've had him help me several times & he's very professional, good spirited, knowledgeable & very energetic. I'll continue to come to this store when on this side of town. I'm sure to enjoy the visit because of all the things mentioned herein. High marks to all the staff & the Manager that keep up this store great & really good shape 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😎

As far as a grocery store goes, it's a grocery store. Nothing amazing (unless you count all the liquor, since I'm from Utah it's the best part.) they don't have everything you could ever want but they do have a pretty good selection available. Their bakery made me with I could pack the car with goodies. I was visiting from out of town and it was just a quick walk from our hotel. It was perfect for those last minute things you forgot to pack or a quick treat. I had a fruit tart, which was probably my favorite. The fruit was fresh and the tart shell was so soft and buttery. I also had a lemon tart, surprisingly creamy with a nice lemon flavor that wasn't overpowering. Lastly I tried this cheesecake, drizzled in chocolate with a massive strawberry. It was super rich and creamy. Tasted freshly baked and had a good amount of crust.

My family loves this store. It is the furthest grocery store from our location but it doesn’t matter. The customer service is outstanding. The cashiers greet you and say thank you and really appreciate it if you help them bag. That’s what we like - grocery attendants who actually don’t hate their customers.

First time visiting The store and not being familiar with the layout we had to ask for assistance and the two shop assistance were exceptional and very helpful. The checkout staff were also helpful and friendly. which was very pleasant.

Very rude, one of the “security guards” followed me the whole way and stood right next to me while i was paying. I would understand if they did it to everyone but it was only just me. I don’t appreciate being targeted when I am shopping for groceries!

Pavilions is a Von's standout supermarket that wows with its large prepared foods area and wine and liquor department. We have frequently stayed at a nearby Newport Coast property and used this Pavilions location for years. The consistency and quality of the in-house bakery, prepared foods and deli, and overall selection of groceries, makes it our destination store for every visit.

Gusto Bread, located in Long Beach, is an artisanal bakery that combines traditional Mexican pastry-making with heirloom grains. The bakery offers a variety of bread loaves, pan dulce, and cookies. Arturo Enciso, the owner, learned baking techniques from around the world before opening the storefront with his partner Ana Belen Salatino in 2020.
We didn’t intend on coming here, but it was an opportunity to try Gusto since there was barely any line on the Saturday morning. We dropped in and grabbed a few bites. Overall, the jamon pastry was really good. The surprising Dijon mustard hit very well and the starch of the bread gives a nice balance to it. My favorite of them all. The cheddar jalapeño bread was delicious as well. Very fluffy and has a lot of flavor. If you are savory lover, you should get this one. The Mole empanada was also great. They pack in a lot in that pastry. Very grateful to have the chance to try Gusto. I was lucky that there wasn’t any line but now I see why there is a long line each time.

If your in Long Beach this is a nice bakery with some good quick bites. The food was good, the pastries we're not too sweet which was nice. Coffee was okay but the atmosphere was nice as was the staff. Parking is a bit crowded in the area so you might have to walk over.

I‘m German so I’m very picky with the type of bread I like (and let’s be honest, most „bread“ sold in the US is a disgrace to the original product). I came to Gusto today for the first time and purchased a great looking sourdough loaf. The employee was very knowledgeable and explained all the different type of breads they had available. It was a busy day but he took his time with us. When I cut the bread later at home, I almost teared up. This tastes so close to home and brought back a taste I haven’t experienced for the 5 years I’m living overseas. This is craftsmanship, THANK YOU - your work is highly appreciated and I’m proud to live in a neighborhood with you guys. I will become a regular.

Best Mexican bakery in California—and not just for traditional pastries. Gusto Bread is a Mexican-influenced artisan bakery, not your average panadería. It’s a fusion that feels just right: thoughtful, balanced, and full of flavor. Let’s start with what makes it stand out: it’s not overly sweet. Unlike most American bakeries that rely on sugar bombs and artificial sweeteners, Gusto lets the real ingredients shine. My taste buds have always been sensitive to that overwhelming sugary assault, so this place? It’s a revelation. I don’t just want sugar—I want texture, layered flavors, creative touches, visual delight, complex aroma, crunch, softness, and yes, even that little moan that comes when food is just that good. Gusto delivers. Take the homemade chocolate cookie—dark chocolate, rich and bold, not that cloying milk chocolate nonsense. Then the oreja—flaky, buttery, and light, the perfect heart-shaped crisp I immediately wanted more of. The alfajor de nuez? It crumbles, then melts, blending nutty warmth with just the right touch of creamy dulce de leche. That’s a party. The cacao concha is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—and I grew up in East LA, it's practically an unofficial Mexican Town in CA. But the true standout is the Nixtamal Queen. It’s lightly sweet, intriguingly sticky, and the softness is irresistible. One bite turns into two… then three. I should’ve bought more. Do the pastries look just as beautiful as they tasted divine? Yes, they do. Each one is a visual feast—intentional, artistic, and mouthwatering before you even take a bite. If I had one note: skip the croissants. They’re fine, but average—and let’s be real, I didn’t come to a Mexican bakery expecting French patisserie perfection. That’s not a fault, just a boundary of the genre. Bottom line: Come hungry. Try everything. Don’t skip the Nixtamal Queen. Gusto Bread is where tradition meets innovation, and every bite is an experience. No wonder the New York Times puts Gusto Bread on their list of 22 of the best bakeries in America.

I love Gusto for enjoying a coffee and a pastry, plus a dorado loaf and a bag of crostini to take home. Everything is delicious and I really appreciate that they use reusable dishes for dine-in coffee orders, water cups, etc., rather than single-use disposables. I also really appreciate that they opted to keep their parklet for outdoor dining.
Holly T — Google review
Ordered the Nixtamal Queen and Jamon Roll. I really liked the former - crunchy and doughy, with savory corn masada in the middle. Definitely the star between the two. I enjoyed the jamon, however, not full of meat or flavor inside the pastry, so the opposite of the Nixtamal Queen, which is packed with flavor and texture. Gusto lives up to the label as a world-class bakery. Excited to try the other menu items. There was a consistent line around 12 pm, and some menu items will sell out, so come early!

Great customer service. Loved the bolillo, empanada and alfajores. Really all their pastries are top notch. The coffee on the other hand was lackluster and overpriced. I was excited to try the atole latte, but the maiz cream did not add any flavor. The special matcha was just alright. But would definitely go back for the baked goods. They have specials on day old bread as well.

You are paying most for a charming service, tip them more. Without them , I don't think I would come back again. Hard to park, if you are driving. Wednesday 8-10am street sweeping, Friday , I'll say for trash picked up. Bike rack (kind of) nearby. Few free parking at front on the street, couple 30 mins parking further down. There are outdoor seating ,waiting area, water for little pals. Busy street, not sure if I would like to sit out side. Now, pastry, you get what they have. They serve as is, not going to warming it up if you request. It was OK ,for that price I expected more. Too sweet for me not as other reviews stated. Again, you are supporting for the lovely service.

Nestled in the heart of Garden Grove, Manmi Bakery is a delightful find for anyone with a sweet tooth. This charming Korean bakery boasts an impressive array of freshly baked treats, including artisan breads, donuts, cookies, and their standout cream puffs. As you step inside, the inviting aroma wafts through the air from behind glass counters brimming with delectable pastries.
I’ve been going to this bakery since I was a kid and the sprinkle cookies haven’t changed at all. They’re still as light, buttery and delicious as always. They’re also an amazing price for a pack of ten. Highly recommend and don’t forget to bring cash!

**CASH Only This is a Korean bakery that sells pastries, bread and cream puffs. We came at 3pm and all the bread was sold out. Only left with cookies and cream puffs. We ordered two dozen puffs for $0.65 each to bring to a party. They all loved it. The custard inside was thick, creamy and not overly sweet. Perfect size. The outside dough was fluffy, soft and chewy.

Came for the cream puffs. They're affordable and just right in sweetness. Conveniently next to a coffee/tea shop to pair with the pastries. Wasn't too crowded and plenty of creampuffs for customers to pick up.
Ron D — Google review
Stopped by here on a visit to the family in December and it was just ok. The bakery itself is average sized, not too big and not too small...inside there's 5 tables or so for seating, and two display cases with a small counter. The display case on the left was mainly empty aside from the top row, which was filled with trays of cream puffs. On the bottom there was a 12 count box of "snow cream puffs", as well as a 4 count box. The display case on the right had rows of empty trays with tags for their various breads and pastries. I had been really looking forward to trying their chapsal donuts, cream horns and custard bread but none of those were available, sadly. I even asked the guy behind the counter but he said they were sold out. I guess they only bake once or something and once they sell out that's it. Which is too bad hut I guess understandable for a small bakery. I picked up a box of 20 cream puffs, a 4 count box of snow cream puffs, and 2 peanut butter pastries/breads, which are empty inside and only have a crunchy sugar topping on the top. The cream puffs themselves are ok but they don't really taste very fresh. The custard filling is pretty yummy and not too sweet, but the shell itself tasted stale and crunchy. Filling wasn't too bad but some were definitely underfilled, while others had just the right amount of filling. All in all it's ok but definitely not an "omg must have." I'm glad I got to try the cream puffs but I won't be back again.

We go to Manmi Bakery about once every two months. The service isn’t great, but the cream puffs are delicious for the price, so we don’t mind driving the distance. We usually buy extra to share with friends. I really hope they open a location in Fullerton or Buena Park someday.

Starbread Bakery Anaheim is a family-owned business that specializes in Filipino-style bread and pastries, offering a taste of the tropical paradise of the Philippines. Their signature pandesal and ensaymada emit an irresistible aroma that will transport you to a world of delectable flavors. Each handmade senorita bread varies in size and finishing, providing a unique experience with every bite. The bread practically melts in your mouth when served fresh and hot from the oven, making for an unforgettable treat.
I bought some senorita bread the other day and it tasted great. The service was amazing too. I was missing a few pieces in my order, and when I called to ask about it they were really nice and provided me with a full replacement order, even though it was likely just a mistake after a long day since I went in the afternoon. Make sure to drop by and purchase their food if you're in the area.

Senorita bread does not taste the same at every shop. I’ve been to the Starbread in San Francisco and San Diego. It’s handmade so they can be different size and different finishing. For example, the butter coating or the custard filling. It varies by when you get it and who rolls it. Our 5:30am batch look dried because only the bottom layer has the butter coating. But for sure, they still taste soft and airy and addicting. We also got the strawberry and ube mochi donut. I was surprised at how soft and chewy it was and not dried out after several hours. You can get nutella senorita bread pre packaged. They are slightly larger. I don’t prefer these because it’s a bit on the dryer end when it’s pre-packaged. Senorita bread can be heated for 10 seconds and it tastes just like when it’s fresh. Great for parties.
My L — Google review
Starbread is a trusty staple in Orange County (other locations across the Bay and Vegas) that you can count on for fresh-out-the-oven, delicious goodness! 🤩 Their most popular item is the Señorita bread, which are snackable soft buttery dinner roll-esque pastries. They make the perfect shareables to bring to gatherings! ✨5 pieces for $4! But Starbread also had yummy donuts (regular + mochi) and malasadas coming in numerous flavors. Some of my faves include: dulce de leche, ube, and chocolate! 😋 If you haven’t tried Starbread yet, this is your sign to check them out ♥️ Other Orange County locations: Cerritos and Carson

I waited for a bit to get my order but was so happy that the boxes señorita I took home were freshly baked. So buttery, soft, and hot. We can't wait to get home to eat some. I also tried some of their malasada - Ube, cream, and mango. The lady who helped me at the counter was very nice.

Who doesn't love bread?!!! Sweet and straight out of the oven señorita bread. They also have malasadas, mochi donuts, garlic peanuts and pan de sal. Service is good but the store front can definitely get a face lift to spruce it up the place and make it inviting. It corrently looks like an old 80's bakery. Other than that, this place is a gem 💎

I love their sinorita bread so much and I can’t stop eating. It’s a little bit wait when you order at the counter because the cashier need to warm it up so your bread comes out nice and warm. It’s melting, buttery and it’s too sweet though. They also have so many selection of donuts and muffins. everytime I come I always go for the sinorita!!!

Starbread Bakery is a bread lover's paradise! Our visit was centered around trying the señorita bread, and it was an absolute delight. Nestled in La Canada, CA, Creative Cakery is a delightful haven for bundt cake enthusiasts. Since 1983, this charming bakery has been dedicated to crafting the most delectable bundt cakes in eight unique flavors, all adorned with luscious cream-cheese frosting and festive decorations. Beyond their signature cakes, they also offer an array of sweet treats like cookies and ice cream sandwiches that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
My husband ordered the “Vegan and Gluten free Chocolate Cake” for my birthday. All I can say is that the cake was moist, chocolaty and simply scrumptious!! I was skeptical at first but the cake proved me wrong and I am glad that it did. Enjoyed every bit of it. The only part I was not happy about was the fake flower decoration that lead to waste pollution. I wish they had edible flowers or nothing at all. I wish they were more mindful of the planet pollution.

I haven't had these cakes in over 10 years, and I am so mad I wasted so much time! And they have ice cream sandwiches now! Yoooo! They were incredible! I hope they start selling cookies by themselves because 🤤 We got an individual chocolaty chocolate and a confetti to share (in addition to the ice cream sandwich that I did NOT share) and they were so fluffy...yummy...and frosting was incredible. They are sweet, but that's what we were going for, so they were perfect! Gooooo!

A great stop for party supplies and treats. Though they specialize in bundt cakes, there are also several fun options for ice cream, cookies, and ice cream sandwiches! Service was helpful and nice but it wasn't apparent from the name that all the cakes were bundt style, and it was more of a party supply store than anything. Still really fun and worth checking out though!

Rye Goods is a delightful organic bakery and deli that has blossomed from humble beginnings in a garage to three charming locations, each brimming with mouthwatering baked treats. This gem specializes in sourdough bread made from freshly milled heritage grains and wild yeast, featuring an impressive 18-year-old rye sourdough culture that adds a unique twist to their pastries. Among their standout offerings are the iconic morning buns—think of them as cinnamon rolls elevated to new heights with a sugary finish.

The coffee and seasonal bagel sandwich i ordered was amazing. I usually buy their coffee cake (to die for), but decided to get the Sammy and it didn’t disappoint! I came to the Tustin location and actually sat in their little outdoor area which was so peaceful. I loved the open windows to watch their bakers make the bread, and their front of house employees Mags and Kim were so friendly and helpful. I loved how chill the atmosphere was and really enjoyed my morning. My coffee and food were ready quickly and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy quality food, coffee, and customer service! I’d highly recommend grabbing one of their loaves to take home!!

A trip to Lido isn't complete with Rye Goods - the cutest bakery offering pastries, breads, and food using high-quality and healthy ingredients. All the pastries are divine - my fav being the banana bread, thumbprint cookie, and morning bun. Their seasonal sandwiches and soups are perfect to pick up for lunch. Love the cozy and rustic interiors - not a lot of seating, but you can enjoy them outside in Lido Village.

I was so excited to try Rye Goods, they have such delicious looking and unique pastries. There's easy street parking nearby and the place wasn't busy when I went on a Saturday morning. I choose a pretzel pastry and a lemon meringue pastry, both of which were gorgeous. But unfortunately that's all they were. The filling in the pretzel pastry was burned, so there was an overwhelming acrid taste to each bite. The lemon meringue had random patches that were incredibly salty. In the end I couldn't eat either of them, which was so disappointing. The employees were so friendly and the products they carry seem so amazing, I'm hoping that maybe I came on an off day or choose the wrong pastries. I might go back to give them another chance, but for now I unfortunately can't recommend this bakery.
Kelsey — Google review
5 Stars for their unique offerings They will offer unique takes on the usual pastries, usually with seasonal ingredients, such as hand pies with plum fillings. They also have a fridge with picnic items - salads, sandwiches and pasta. Everything looked yummy and make it worth a return trip. They also sell various types of bread. I'd love to see more bakeries like this, as other places are pretty much interchangeable. Go here if you want quality baked goods with a unique twist.

Outstanding bakery/commissary that uses really unique flours for their baked good. They also have a great selection of natural wines, ciders, and other artisanal goods.

I was so disappointed with the texture and flavor of the items I got, which were blackberry sticky bun and raspberry scone. If a healthier version of pastries or buns taste this dry and hard to bite, I’d rather buy the regular stuff and PAY LESS. Don’t know why this kind of shop exits in the world. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Literally had everything I could think of and more. Was buying for my mom and was in here for over 30 minutes because there were so many options and she didn’t have a specific list of what she needed so I had to show her everything lol

How disgusting. I called and order premade icing for 50 cupcakes. Sent my husband to pick up the order he came home with 38 POUNDS of icing. Who the HELL uses 3/4 pound of icing per cupcake?. I called and was told, well next time he should know how much he needs. NO NEXT TIME! and where is YOUR EXPERTISE AND ADVICE. RIPPED OFF AND SHAME ON YOU CALICO!

Today I came in for thanksgiving sprinkles and blue fondant. I grabbed it and the blue fondant was ROCK hard. I checked the expiration date & it had expire May 2021. I grabbed packets from the back of that one & they were all expired. I don’t recommend buying their buttercream or chocolate or anything edible… who knows when they change it.

Thank You guys NAILED IT! Can't wait to try the next fabulous treats! I highly recommend this Shop!

Went there to get some supplies, the owners daughter is taking over, daughter is very rude. Seems like she does not want to be there. I said how much I loved this shop and that I have been coming here for over 30 years, she said " It looks like it" she needs to learn how to treat the customers. I will not be back. Once a great place to shop and get supplies. Not anymore. Very sad.

Calico Cake Shop did an amazing job on my grandmother's birthday cake. They added candles to the cake that I was unaware of and I am so thankful for them making her feel special during this pandemic. The staff is very polite and friendly! I would highly recommend this shop! Thank you Calico Cake Shop!

Crema Artisan Bakers is a small bakery located near the airport in Skypark Circle, Orange County. Known for their wholesale bakery business supplying various businesses and coffee shops, they have recently opened to the general public. Customers praise the freshness of their pastries and the love put into each item. The quality of their products and excellent service make them a go-to for artisan breads, pastries, and baking supplies.
They are beyond and exceedingly a top notch Bakery. They filled a large perder of assorted baked goods during one of the hardest times of our life. The love that went into every pastry was greatly appreciated. It was such a great way to thank the over 200 guests in attendance to my fathers final farewell. We saw people embody dads generosity by sharing such decadent treats. To us as a family, we were voting grateful for that special touch that Crema Artisan Bakery added in celebrating our patriarchal great white oak of the family. I highly recommend them for any and all special occasions 🫶🏽

I have heard of Crema Cafe in Seal Beach but have not tried it because they usually have very long lines. They made a wholesale bakery business which supplies many businesses and coffee shops in Orange county. In the OC register it mentioned that the wholesale bakery is now open for the general public so I had to try it. Overall it is a small business in skypark circle near the airport. The pastries were fairly fresh, the croissants were not exceptionally crispy but were tasty. I will have to try out the loaves of bread that they have available. Overall this is a nice addition to Irvine, and I hope they continue to sell to the public even after the quarantine is lifted.

85°C Bakery Cafe in Irvine is a popular Taiwanese bakery and cafe chain that has gained a strong following since opening its first U.S. location in the city. Known for its international desserts, breads, and aromatic coffee and tea offerings, this bustling spot attracts crowds eager to sample their fresh pastries and drinks. The bakery's signature line 'FRESH BREAD!' adds to the excitement as bakers pass by with trays of warm treats.
Delicious Taiwanese bakery. Everything from we bought tastes superb. And it was hard to decide so we bought a few things. The cheese dog is delicious. The fluffy vanilla sponge with strawberry jam was good. The mini cheesecakes are worth a try. The chocolate mousse cake slice was my favourite. We even bought some bread.
Lara S — Google review
Absolutely love this place! The pastries are always fresh and delicious — you can tell they put care into everything they bake. The Sea Salt Caramel Coffee is a flavor bomb: creamy, slightly sweet, with that unique salty twist that makes it unforgettable. The staff is friendly, efficient, and patient even when it gets busy. And the ambiance? Cozy, clean, and welcoming — perfect for a quick treat or a chill break. It’s one of those places you keep coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re in Irvine!
Denys P — Google review
The pastries and drinks are solid, no complaints about the quality. But the experience can be frustrating. There’s usually only one cashier, the line is long, and having to order drinks separately at the kiosk just slows everything down. Bathrooms are also in need of attention. Good food, but the overall experience could be much better.
Russo G — Google review
The space is clean and convenient, but I was surprised by the limited variety. The same breads were displayed on multiple trays, which made it feel repetitive. It seemed like they were trying to make it look full, but there were not many different options to choose from. It was especially disappointing not to see my favorite, Taiwanese Scallion Bread. I often find it In Summery Bakery. If you’re in the area and want something quick, it’s fine. But if you’re looking for a wide selection or something new to try, it might fall short.
Ray L — Google review
85°C Bakery always hits the spot if you’re craving fresh, tasty pastries and drinks. Their sea salt coffee is a must-try, and the breads and cakes are soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The variety is amazing — from savory to sweet, there’s something for everyone. Only downside is that it can get crowded, especially on weekends, and sometimes popular items run out quickly. But overall, it’s worth the wait if you go at the right time!
Oyuntuya B — Google review
Product is amazing, but service is really bad, also any coffee is about 5 dollars and now they only put half of the cup, they should charge also half of the price, idk if is just my coffee, caramel machiato, but always only half of the cup gets fill. And i didn't have a zip before this picture, so mad at this people, besides not everyone follows the recipe, each time taste different...
Alberto O — Google review
I really love this place. They have a great selection and the service is always friendly and quick. I’ve been coming here for years and never had a single issue. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to, and I always recommend it to friends and family. The milk pudding is my absolute favorite. The brioche is great too. If you’re eyeing the desserts behind the glass, I’d go with the white chocolate strawberry cake — it’s a solid choice. The only thing that I absolutely do not like about this place is the parking! Over the years, DJ has gotten busier and busier. Parking hasn't really changed at all so if you come during peak times... basically any time you think college students want to hang out... then finding parking will be a challenge. Other than that, I love this place!
OnCallCravings — Google review
I genuinely love this place. Delicious bread, great drinks, but I'm writing the review because my family and I are always so excited when they bring back their cinnamon rolls. It's a yearly tradition at this point- but this year they changed them to include walnuts. They're unfortunately very gritty and have a different, bitter taste to their filling. Hopefully, they bring back the classic, because these new ones are so unpleasant we threw them out.

Additionally, if you're looking for gluten-free options, Sprinkles has got you covered with their selection of gluten-free cupcakes.

Bring back the sugar free red velvet cupcake!!! It was the best sugar free cupcake I’ve ever had and literally tasted exactly like a real cupcake. Please bring it back! Please! The new citrus sugar free one is literally so gross and tastes like you are biting into a dense dry bread.

Newport Beach isn't really a location I think of when it comes to, "Oh, I want some decent cupcakes today." I hadn't heard of Sprinkles prior to this, and since I was in the area, I decided to give them a try- I'm very glad I did. Corona Del Mar isn't a great area to drive around in, but this place is pretty easy to find and locate. Once inside, the staff were very helpful, especially after letting them know that it was my first time there, which definitely helped with some of the more nuanced flavors they had. I ended up selecting Red Velvet, Lemon Blueberry, Triple Cinnamon, and Banana. The last one surprised me quite a bit. Banana-flavored anything typically isn't that great, but this blew me away. They've opened up a few locations since I've been here, but the Newport Beach location is absolutely worth trying out if you're a local or visiting in the area. None of their cupcakes are too sweet or bland; they're quite moist and decadent, and if you HAVE to - they do keep well if you vacuum seal them for a day.

We ordered ahead of time and got the animal cookie and s’more cupcakes. We also got the three pack of the mini cupcakes. The animal cookie cupcake is so yummy it tastes like the frosted animal cookie it has a pink crust that has a touch of salt the cake part is like a funfetti and the frosting with the sprinkles so velvety with a little crunch with a cookie on top. Super cute and delicious. The s’more cupcake has a graham cracker crust on the bottom then the chocolate cake with a rich velvety chocolate ganache that is so tasty and topped with a marshmallow frosting that is brûléed. The mini cupcakes are super cute and tasty. The gentleman that brought the order out was very friendly and professional he said we picked the most delicious items. We also got the oatmeal corn flake cookie which was really good with the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Ten out of ten totally recommend the cupcakes at this location.

Who doesn't like a good cupcake? These are never a let down, in my opinion. There's a great selection of different flavours and varieties and you can't go wrong with whichever one you choose. The staff here are fairly friendly, but the one drawback is how small the store itself is. Sometimes it's just way too crowded inside. With that said, Sprinkles are great and I crave them often and highly recommend this fresh, tasty chain.
Angie B — Google review
I like to visit sprinkles since they tend to change their menu every month. I was able to get a cookie cupcake since they offer that every now and then. I also got mini cupcakes. The people were helpful. There was a lot of parking available since I went on a Sunday night.
Linnette — Google review
What’s not to love about sprinkles cupcakes! I ordered 3 dozen of the mini cupcakes for a party through the sprinkles website. I did order one dozen of the vegan red velvet as I was going to have an attendee that is allergic to milk and whey protein. Unfortunately when it got delivered to my house, a normal red velvet was sent instead. One call to the sprinkles bakery and they were able to help me get another dozen of the vegan red velvet delivered to my house before the party was over—making the little boy who oftentimes has to sit out from desserts and birthday celebrations have full enjoyment. I really wanted to give a special shout out to Nathaniel, and the bakery captain that was working that day who made this happen. You turned a stressful moment into a very inclusive and enjoyable one. Thank you so much!

Bakery
Seaside Donuts Bakery is a charming little shop located on the lively Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, CA. They offer an array of delectable treats including donuts, sweet and savory croissants, and cronuts. One of their specialties is the Thai iced tea which perfectly complements their signature cronuts. The bakery's strawberry croissants are a must-try, featuring a light and crispy texture filled with cream and fresh slices of strawberries topped with powdered sugar.
Seaside is a donut place right off of NB Pier. Prices are reasonable considering the location. The donuts are very fresh and soft as of about noon when I stopped by. They have some fun pastel iced donuts. Raspberry jelly donut is recommended. You may want to try something new, cereal-topped donuts! The main downside of this shop is it has no seating.
Joan A — Google review
Love that Seaside is open 24/7, it’s the perfect late night spot. The Thai and jasmine iced teas are refreshing and full of flavor. Donuts are good but the jalapeño cheese croissants are savoury and delicious.
Kris — Google review
Finally made it down to this donut spot because I finally found parking to do so first time here because the line is long and study. The donuts come out rather fresh and moist which is what you want got the ham and cheese croissant, plain cake and a standard glazed. All three were pretty good.
Design E — Google review
Small and quite unique, I tried a ham & cheese croissant, a jalapeño croissant, and a maple éclair — all together just about $11, which felt very inexpensive given both the quality and the location right by the beach. They were all overall tasty and filling. Customer service was very friendly, though at first they might seem a little abrupt (probably just cultural). Still, they were kind and welcoming overall. Parking can be tricky, especially on weekends. Expect meters around $4 per hour, unless you’re lucky enough to find a side street spot. Not really seating options, more to go kind of spot. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and want a tasty treat by the sea.
F T — Google review
Seaside Donuts kept showing up on tiktok so I had to see it for myself. The green Thai tea was good but too sweet for my taste but the donuts and croissants are amazing! I will definitely be coming back here in the future since the food is good and it’s pretty affordable! The atmosphere was also friendly and the lines were never long when I came.

My kids told me they wanted to go because it was popular on social media. We went there. It was a small, cozy shop, just an ordinary Asian donut shop. There was nothing special about it. The donuts were just average.

Sweet Jill's Bakery is a beloved Long Beach and Seal Beach establishment that has been serving up traditional baked goods since 1987. Their classic offerings include delectable cinnamon rolls, cakes, muffins, sugar cookies, scones, and carrot cake. Despite the long lines, the friendly staff ensures quick service for patrons eager to indulge in their irresistible treats. While there's no seating available inside the bakery, customers can take their goodies home or enjoy them on the go.
My son and I came here to get our sweet tooth filled this past Sunday. It was packed with customers going out the door and no place to sit down. Still the service was excellent and the pastries were amazing. We had to watch our treats in the car, but that was okay because we chilled out to music. My son had the German Chocolate Brownie (which he couldn't finish due to the size of the serving) and I had the Peanut Butter with Chocolate Fudge Pie. Both were amazing!!! Oh...we washed them down with Real human prepared Hot Chocolates!!
David R — Google review
Sweet Jill’s has been around forever—and for good reason. But let me give you a heads-up: they only accept CASH. No Venmo, no Zelle, no Apple pay either just good old-fashioned paper money. For your “convenience,” their own ATM setup inside with a $2 fee. So if you want to avoid the surcharge, plan ahead and bring enough cash. Now onto the sweet stuff, literally. There are so many tempting dessert options here. It’s basically a danger zone for your waistline (you’ve been warned 😂). I ordered everything to go: the Lemon Bar for myself, and the Cherry Deep Dish and Coconut Cake for my boyfriend. The lemon bar was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy honestly sooo good! My boyfriend happily devoured his picks. He’s a longtime fan of Sweet Jill’s, so no surprise there. If you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth, this place is a must-try. Just remember cash is king at Sweet Jill’s.

I had such high hopes for this place because I could smell the sweets cooking from across the street. The service was great. They say cash only but they to take Apple Pay and debit card or credit cards. Everything looked so delicious I didn’t know what to get. I ended trying the carrot cupcake. The size was amazing. 2 people can eat it. But I believe in quality over quantity. The best thing was the icing, it was super delicious not overly sweet. The problem was with the cupcake. It lacked in Flavor a lot. I didn’t get much carrot or spices. No nutmeg or cinnamon or anything. It tastes like flour with a little bit of carrot and nuts. Would I try this place again maybe, but I wouldn’t go for the cakes. Maybe a cookie.
Racquel B — Google review
cake, but it thinks it's a brownie 🤨 serving absolute sugar bombs and the frosting's got an artificial tang again.. the cookie dough for the cookie dough brownie was proper dough, just drowned out by the heap of chocolate brownie, but the peanut butter brownie still shines, stunnin for nut-butter lovers. this spot's a bite-sized clone of the 2nd street location: fewer choices, same sweet-treat consistency.
Kim — Google review
Overall, it’s a solid bakery that keeps it simple and does what it’s good at. They’ve got a big mix of cookies, cakes, and bars, but the cinnamon rolls are what they’re known for. The cinnamon roll I thought lived up to the hype. It's a good size to share. The snickerdoodle cookie was humongous, the size of my face. The banana walnut cake and carrot cake were my faves, both really good. The chocolate parfait seemed to be my daughter's favorite. Want to come back for sure to try some other items.

Somehow always end up taking 4-5 slices just to take home and share the best cake we’ve ever tasted. Spells amazing right as you walk in. And always a friendly staff. Other baked goods we got were chocolate coconut macaroons, strawberry cake, apple pie and cinnamon rolls!

I really like the cinnamon cupcake and the red velvet cookie. It's expensive, $5.50 for a cupcake and $4.50 for a cookie which are normal size but, the taste is marvelous and it's Downtown Disney, so it'll be more expensive. They sell out fast so the earlier the better and you can order yourself via tablet checkout it's nice and they'll call your name when it's ready. We were greeted by a friendly gal who put our order together quickly. We selected 4 flavors so we could sample a little bit of each between 3 people. $6 cupcake ok. Not especially cute or pretty ok. But the Taste is bad! They are dry and have a weird flavor and the frosting is average store bought quality at best if that. Bought 4 cupcakes and it was just under $24 and they were gross. I love cupcakes but these were bad and the place inside is nothing special and choices are boring and taste is terrible. What is the justification for the price? I have no idea. We threw away half of 3 cupcakes we tried and the 4th got tossed out without being eaten.

So the original corner bakery is the bees knees. I remember when I went there a long time ago I was delighted because the sandwiches were oh so tasty and yummy. This corner bakery is not like the original one. I guess I should have expected it since this is a franchise that is put in and outside outlet mall. Not much love or care is put into the preparation of these disgusting pieces of food they serve. I remember one time I heard the cook yelling at the server because she asked for some extra cheese for my meal. The food made me feel sick. And not thw good kind of sick. The sandwhich was smashed and the pasta tasted like something made from a cardboard box. Even the diet coke was bad. Watered down and lacking any pop or sizzle. I guess that wpuld be an accurate way to categorize this franchise. All cardboard and no love. Never again corney Fakery.

Excellent place and most lovely staff. Helpful and go the extra mile to help customers. Good food hot and fresh. Must go.

There's not a lot of baking that goes on in this place as all of the food seems pre-prepared. As a result, they can't accommodate changes to orders, for example, no butter. The coffee is reasonable but we found the food to be somewhat cold. Prices are good and there's no service, so no need to tip. To order food here, you sit down at a table and then go up to order at the counter. You'll get a buzzer to tell you when the food is ready. There are no menus on the tables so you have to squint at the boards on the kitchen wall to read the options. There's not a huge amount of choice. I had a lot of trouble finding knives and forks. It turned out that they were hidden behind the counter and I was expected to reach over and grab them. There's heaps of seating and disabled access is good. It's part of the outlets of Orange so there's plenty of parking. There are toilets on site.

I like this place, and I would say it’s similar to Panera in many ways, except they don’t skimp on their Mac n cheese portions :) Good food, good prices, nice staff, but possibly poor management? Bakery items, and sides slip through the cracks often in my experience, and one day I ordered a chai latte, no issue, and the next day when I asked for one, the employee spent 3-5 minutes going around trying to figure out if they even made them. Don’t know what’s going on, but still one of the better quick, good, cheap food places in the mall.
