What a delicious stop! Grabbed a cappuccino and pastry. Excellent service with a few small tables outside. The fresh bread was to die for. A must visit!

Veggy pasty is full of mold :-( But cinnamon bun is amazing! We went there this morning to buy some food for our today's hike and bought (above other things) a vegan pasty and a vegan spiced roll, both from the open fridge. We wanted to eat it 3 hours later and both items were full of mold. We were really shocked. I tried to call the shop, but nobody answered. We were only this day in Plymouth, so we can't go back. Update: we reached out to the owners via Facebook, they explained that they don't make the vegan rolls and pastys themselves and assured us we would receive our money back. Didn't happen so far, but let's see :-) And I want to add, that the cinnamon roll is simply amazing.

As a Polish woman who truly loves and values high-quality bread, I can honestly say: this is the best bread I’ve found in the UK – fresh, beautifully baked, and absolutely delicious. The sweet pastries are outstanding (just like the ones back home!), and the coffee is simply perfect – rich, smooth, and full of flavour. The staff are always warm, kind, and professional. I absolutely love coming here every Friday – it’s my little weekly ritual and highlight. Jacka Bakery is a gem in Plymouth – a place made with heart.

Beautiful bread and pastries, the massive jam donut was amazingly soft and sweet. (The coffee just missed the mark tho)

Lovely little bakery! Over 400 years old but certainly not stuck in the past. We enjoyed some delectable overnight oats adorned with pistachios and chocolate, giant fresh doughnuts straight out of the oven, and some much needed flat whites. A perfect way to start the day.

This must be one of the best bakeries in the country. Truly a must-visit. There are no tables inside, only two or three outside on the street, so you may get wet on a rainy day.

Quaint, affordable cafe with friendly staff and a community driven shop next door. We went for a breakfast and it was incredible, amazing gluten-free options and good coffee.

Never had food here, but I get my mums socks, yes that's right socks, here, She likes the brand and its the only place i can find them. I figure it's better to support the little man than big business. The staff are always chatty and polite.

Delicious gluten free food! We stopped in with our dog after a long walk. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. It took me a long time to choose - I'm not used to so many gluten free options. Staff were really friendly too. Drinks were great and we enjoyed the scones a lot.

Tremendous facility for a relatively remote village. Shop is very well stocked for its size, with helpful and knowledgeable volunteer staff. Tea room under new management (Summer 2025) has a great menu, seating for about 25 indoors and more outside. We descended on them unannounced as a group of 15 (including 4 children and a fractious baby) and they couldn't have been more helpful. Current opening times: 0900-1700 Wednesday - Sunday.

Lovely little cafe/ bakery just off the Drakes Trail. Specialising in savoury and sweet 'swirls' in many flavours. I had cheese and baked beans flavour. Also soups and rolls and hot and cold drinks. Sell jams, marmalades etc. 4 stars because they had no rolls left to make sandwiches. This was 1 hour before closing time. Coffee was good too. Would recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Busy, small independent bakery, with a variety of tasty treats and great coffees. It is always busy, but the service is excellent. There are some external seats available, which was ideal yesterday in the sun. I took a variety of treats home for the family and earned some brownie points :)

Just popped in for a quick coffee and cake (big mistake). Ordered two coffee's and two cakes. Selected the cake which was put in two paper bags pass to me. Paid by cash, told it had to the correct money as they had no change. Went to car to get tissues (no napkins offered) to wipe hands. The place is very much somewhere to avoid

So delicious! We visit every time we come and visit my parents in Yelverton. Friendly staff - best to come before lunch time to get the best pick of the swirls.

Delightful little bakery and coffee shop off the main road and right on the Drakes Trail. Really friendly staff, lots of seating options and an excellent range of cakes and scrolls in the display cabinet all made fresh. The coffee was also very good and the selection of chocolate so you could choose the sweetness (55-85% Cocoa) is a fantastic idea. The savoury scrolls (1. Pulled Pork and Dragon fruit. 2 Chorizo and herb) were delicious with plenty of filling and excellent quality bread, so light and fluffy. This is a must stop on the Drakes Trail, everything looked so good and I am sure they would all taste just as good.

Had a one night stay here earlier this week, we were advised to come b4 check in to use the pool and facilities, when we arrived the pool was closed was told it should reopen later that day. When it was time to check in we asked again and was told no it would reopen that day, we were bitterly disappointed that we could not use the pool etc as this would have been a big part of our trip. Feel the hotel could have called us and advised that the pool was closed and we could have rescheduled our visit. Have tried to email the hotel directly but not had an answer from Monday when I submitted my email. Such a shame that a special stay wedding anniversary was not as hoped

Went for afternoon tea absolutely wonderful. Staff welcoming, pleasent and helpful throughout. We sat in the lounge which was quieter than the restaurant only about 4 tables set up lovely setting. The afternoon tea was a gift and consisted of a selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes along with 2 types of scones with jam and cream and of course lots of tea of your choice. There was so much to eat one lovely member of staff did us a little box to take away what we couldn't manage! Overall fantastic thank you!.

We previously stayed at Bovey castle in the main building a few years ago and absolutely loved it. We are currently here again in a lodge this time but the whole experience is very different. Overall the place is lovely, the setting is beautiful and generally the staff are friendly but there have just been lots of small things that haven’t been enjoyable. Today we were told the kids zone for our two young kids cost £25 per day. This isn’t a manned facility, it’s a room for kids to play in under parent supervision. For a hotel to cater for families and kids, I have no idea why they charge for it and it was free when we previously stayed. The lodge is very different to the luxury room we stayed in before. It is spacious but feels a bit sparse and not luxurious or homely. The oven pan was disgusting and could do with a new frying pan and didn’t have basics like salt. I understand if they want us to eat in the restaurant but booking it for the times we wanted in the evenings we were told there were no spaces. My wife and eldest son wanted a round of golf with an instructor and left two messages at reception for the golf shop to contact her to arrange the pro, but neither message was passed on and it became too late to get an instructor. And the continental breakfast for £20 per person was disappointing. Overall I’d say it’s a lovely place for a romantic couples weekend or you are out an about the entire time but for young families it wouldn’t be my choice again.

We stayed at Bovey Castle on 20/09/2025 for our anniversary. While the grounds, spa, and front desk were lovely, our dinner was ruined by two restaurant staff. They made objectifying, sleazy comments about me, gave my partner dirty looks, and left me humiliated in front of him. One even smirked and said “good job,” implying I was a prize — completely unacceptable at a 5-star hotel. I’ve tried contacting the general manager privately, but received no response. What should have been a romantic evening instead left us embarrassed, uncomfortable, and deeply disappointed.

What a place, we got married here on Monday stayed there over night. The service and welcoming was something we have never experienced before. The food and drinks were on another level. The whole experience was some we shall never forget. We shall have to save to come back for our anniversary as the experience is just amazing. Top job to those involved. Beautiful hotel. If you want luxury, then try this. Staff were all so attentive and friendly. A little remote but the splendour both inside and out more than made up for this. One could imagine Sherlock Holmes & Dr Watson staying here while they hunted the hound if the Baskervilles!

The hotel is beautiful and the room was gorgeous reception staff really helpful and two guys on the door porters too. The evening meal was lovely however the waiter spanish guy was so rude and could t care less .. but overall great time there. The spa is amazing too felt so relaxed

Fantastic find with lovely staff. Great value for money. My only feedback is the afternoon tea for two is a little light on sandwiches and far to heavy on the cake. A huge warm scone and a massive slice of cake is too much but i would have liked an extra sarnie as they were lush. I did see some scone wastage from several people. Please please dont see this as a moan.

Absolutely amazing farm shop and cafe, an approximate five minute drive from Haytor on Dartmoor. Booking is recommended and advised as this place gets busy, and understandably so. They use local, or farm reared ingredients for a lot of items on their menu. If you're a fan of hot chocolate then try the mega - as it says on the menu, they are one for the gram. Fantastic food, served quickly - ideal!

Came here for an afternoon tea for two for Mother’s Day. The staff were so friendly and attentive. I brought my dachshund with me, they all kept coming over to talk to him. Such a dog friendly little cafe. The food was absolutely amazing and worth the money.

Place is lovely and clean. The staffs are amazing. They are very accommodating – you can tell that they love what they're doing and genuinely care for their customers. ☺️ I will come back again!

We turned up and had the best iced coffee,and tasty sausage roll. Great service from the butcher. Lovely field of sunflowers.

First visit was April 2025. I'll come back another time. I had the scotch egg and it was both tasty and at a reasonable price. The farm shop is small, but has some good stuff. Cake selection looks epic.

Easy to find, plenty of parking, smaller selection of farm animals than we had initially expected, however you can see they were very happy and clearly well cared for. Farm shop had some nice finds, and great food options in the restaurant. We didn't eat here however as it was busy (sat lunchtime) plenty of seating outside too. Quite a lot for younger children, ride on tractors, play areas etc. nice butchers on site. We all enjoyed fresh milkshakes from the vending machine

Visited here for lunch, based on a family member's recommendation and as it was such a lovely day, great that it had seating outside so we could enjoy the sun, although there's seating on two floors inside. I went for the veggie breakfast hash, which was delicious, along with my usual chai latte. My husband went for a tomato and mozzarella focaccia box, which was also tasty. Good veggie options.

Lovely coffee shop with plenty of outdoor seating. We visited on a Saturday and it was busy! So we had high hopes. Unfortunately though, we won't be back. Just personal preference, but they don't offer any syrup which is a huge disappointment for me. Can't beat a caramel latte! Was given a sugar syrup, but couldn't taste it at all. My partner ordered a cappuccino and wasn't given any chocolate sprinkles...what cappuccino doesn't come with chocolate sprinkles! The coffee itself wasn't very strong, it certainly lacked flavour! Lastly, the coffee wasn't anywhere near hot enough. I like my coffee hot! My partner doesn't. But even for him, the coffee wasn't warm enough. A shame.

Probably the best coffe and croissant that I ever tasted in the UK!!! Lovely, clean and tidy inside space with a cute clothes boutique shop at the back and above the coffee shop, wich sells rather expensive but beautiful items. Great atmosphere too. I'm already thinking of my next visit to Totnes just because of this coffe shop.

This little cafe is at the bottom of Totnes main shopping street. I sat outside in the lovely sunshine. The town is very busy with tourists this time of year (summer). I had a coffee from wood burnt coffee beans. Was a lovely flavour. Also had sandwich made of pork and salad with herb style topping. Was a little disappointed as it was in a box off the shelf. You'd expect that somewhere like this would make it fresh and on a plate.

We had never been before & had heard great things. For £35 a head, we opted to try their "Italian Experience" where you can choose one course from each section & have slightly smaller portions. Highlights were the Pappardelle with smoked ricotta, pistachio & courgettes & the puddings. We had lemon tart with a poached peach & strawberry tiramisu. The latter although layered with strawberry compote, the coffee overrode any fruity flavour & it just tasted like a nice, traditional one.

The place looked inviting on a sunny day with inddor and outdoor seating. The coffee was disappointing despite being made twice. For an artisan coffee place it was not expected. The breakfast sandwich was good.

The rooms and location are fabulous if you like gardens and countryside. You can’t see another building or road just amazing scenery. The service let my visit down for me slightly, the staff on reception were excellent, friendly and fun but the waiting staff could have done a much better job. I didn’t feel like a valued customer at all and I was staying there for 3 nights. I will return however because everything else including the food was incredible.

The most wonderful stay, from the warm welcome to every meal being served by very helpful and lovely staff, it was a brilliant evening and stay. The grounds are totally worth an explore and the handy maps at reception give you the best routes to explore. The food was delicious and the emphasis on locally sourced made it extra special.

Visited for a not so busy lunch and I must say this restaurant is a hit and miss affair. Starters were amazing - the Mackerel not only looked beautiful but more importantly tasted on point. One main was a major let down - Beef Ribs. The dish once again looked beautiful, unfortunately, the beef was so overcooked - it was leather shoe standard. So, I did return this dish and whilst a replacement was offered, my fellow diners had already started eating. Therefore, I asked for a simple ham sandwich to speed things along. This sandwich arrived when the others had finished their mains; the bread was dry and ham was "supermarket" standard. By now I had given up (nobody asked, so I persevered). The desserts were faultless. The bill arrived with a £18.75 discount AFTER a £21.09 service charge. Now, you were already going to lose a point for a 12.5% discretionary service charge (really no need), but to simply add it after the issues was ridiculous. Yes, let us reward the chefs failures! I felt the Maître d was very direct with service with a tone that at times felt curt and rude. This is not our first visit here and maybe some kindness and a smile should be present?

If you want a quiet break, with dogs, or celebrate a special event, come here. Ignore the cost, the experience is worth it. Beautiful house, stunning garden. Wonderful uninterrupted views across the Tamar valley. Friendly efficient staff, great food, comfortable rooms. So quiet.

We had dinner the the hotel Endsleigh to celebrate my mums 80th birthday. We had our own little dining room (6 peope) with a fantastic view over the gardens… The staff were exceptional and the meal a delight. To top it off they brought a lovely “Happy Birthday” plate at the end of the meal with a couple of jellies for my mum👍 Will definitely return - Thank you Endsleigh team…

Just lovely. Really elegant, but low key and cozy. You can really make yourself at home here, snuggling next to the big fires with books and walking the grounds. It’s our favorite hotel in the UK.

Yield Bakery created the most incredible “wedding cake” for us – a giant pasty! It was such a fun surprise for our guests and honestly tasted amazing. They were so professional and accommodating throughout, and even delivered it to our venue for us, which made everything so easy on the day. A huge thank you to the team – you made our wedding extra special and memorable!

Just collected a too good to go bag for £4.30. For someone on their own this is great bargain and the contents made an old man happy. Also great way to try previously untried products Well done yield bakery

I popped in today for a roll and was served by diane today. She was quite surprised of how many fillings I wanted in it. Total was 9 fillings in my bap topped with salad with mayonnaise,salad cream,bbq sauce topping. It was the best bap I've had in ages. Thank you diane.

We live an hour away but we always make a point of visiting if we're anywhere near Ashburton. The sourdough and cakes here are simply incredible, the bread is so wholesome and tasty it blows everything else into the weeds, stunning!

A wonderful bakery. There's usually a line out the door, but that's a good thing, as it gives you time to fully (or at least partly) take in the range of bread and cakes on offer. The breads are always good. Today we had the cheese and courgette focaccia which was amazing. The cakes are lovely too.

We timed our arrival perfectly - a tray of cheese scones were coming out of the oven as we walked into the shop! Super helpful and friendly staff and delicious sourdough bread. No cafe but plenty of places to eat outside in the town or take home.

Cinnamon & cardamom bun was delicious: a great balance of sweet and spicy. Custard tart was delightful with plentiful but not overpowering nutmeg and a perfect set on the custard. Bread from Hylsten and biscuits & pasta from Fresh Flour were also highlights. Can't recommend a visit enough. Can't wait to get this focaccia home.

The chocolate tart is spectacular. Gorgeous pastry, a subtle hint of orange, rich cocoa depth, delightful hazelnut crunch on top. Probably the best thing I have eaten this academic year.

Probably the best focaccia I’ve ever had. Still warm out of the oven, perfectly crispy on the bottom, generous amounts of olive oil. Appropriately salty. Truly superb and worth coming for alone. The iced bun was also good!

Lovely cafe and store selling a lovely selection of hot and cold food. Nice veggie selection too. The soup was a surprising highlight! They also sell a great selection of produce, cheese etc. Lovely staff and great service. Highly recommend if you want a munch before walking out on Dartmoor.

First time we tried here and we'll definitely go back. My wife had the pork roll bap and it was massive plus some roast potatoes, she loved it. I just had a sausage bap, really good quality sausages. In fact the whole store had good quality products at good prices. I even bought a bottle of Mescal produced in Cornwall, it tastes lovely. The staff were friendly, even though it was busy.

A super deli in Yelverton. A really interesting range of cheeses, pastries and breads along with spirits and beers. Very easy to spend £20.

Ordered gluten free pasty , owner was lovely service was brilliant. But £6 for a pasty that wasn't even nice . I know they are warmed to order in a microwave which doesn't help but obviously to avoid cross contamination this needs to be done .

We happened to stop in after walking past and seeing all the happy customers! It was so hot and delicious! We shared a medium and it was a the perfect snack. The service was incredibly kind! We were so happy to stop in.

Had a regular size traditional pasty and it was excellent in all aspects. I agree with a previous review about the amount of steak/ meat being less than some others but it is definitely an excellent product. Good taste but not too spicy like some others do. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Probably the best vegan pasty I've ever had. I've tried vegan pasties all around Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Without question this is the best one. The pastry was delicious, flaky and "buttery", the filling was seasoned really well and it had a little something extra (maybe jackfruit??) that made it special. The lady that served me was lovely and friendly and there were a couple of regulars sat by the door that said hello when I came in. Lovely little place, it's my new go to pasty shop. Big love!

This is a good pasty, a bit smaller than you would expect to get further west for the price and description (this large I would consider a medium). Could do with slightly more steak, especially in the centre and I personally prefer a bit more pepper but that's personal taste. The service was top notch, friendly and swift. Overall a good job but not quite 5⭐ for me

Fresh bread to take out; breakfasts and cakes to sit in and lashings of ginger beer. Easy parking for up to 2 hours and still free.

We have had a couple of the big cakes for special occasions, very good cakes, a big 5 stars.

Have ordered twice recently, once for brownie and carrot cake tray bakes for my husbands 50th birthday which went down a storm in the classroom! And this weekend we collected a wonderful cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary, it looked incredible and tasted just as good! Highly recommended! Lovely independent bakery/coffee shop. Staff are very welcoming and especially helpful when negotiating your way out the door with a pushchair and a tray full of coffees! Perfectly set up for smooth service in a pandemic, coffee is very good and cakes are outstanding. Cannot fault them, fully deserving of 5 stars.

i had an absolutely wonderful experience with this bakery. i ordered a deluxe victoria sponge cake for my birthday and it was amazing!! the customer service was also really welcoming. i would recommend this bakery to anyone needing a cake for an occasion or even just grabbing a slice for dessert.

Wow. I am ecstatic that I have found this little gem of a place. It is by far the best bakery in Plymouth. Lovely, friendly welcome. The homemade Blueberry, lemon and Elderflower cake was to die for as was the yummy quiche and the perfect coffee. My only wish would be a full cafe/seating area either on the existing site or in central Plymouth. Would love to visit with friends and sit in to sample all the amazing produce.

Popped in for some sourdough (amazing quality brown) and picked up a samosa and coffee and walnut slice. Amazing pastry on the samosa and really beautifully spiced. The soup looked good and the sound of cheese and jalapeño jam toastie, yummy. The lady serving was so so lovely. Definitely a bakery worth going out of your way for.

We bought both a normal loaf and a frozen gluten free loaf. Both were expensive and unfortunately dry. They have both defied normal expectations and not become stale over 5 days and 3 days respectively which is a bonus. Would not recommend I’m afraid.

Lucky enough to pop in today. The ice-cream was incredible, never tasted anything like it. Also purchased sour dough bread and a bun. Both were amazing. Happy to travel the 2.5 hours just to go back. Incredible talented ladies, wished I bought more!

Fantastic! The only vegan option on hand was focaccia which is not usually my favourite, but Beachwood's was so good it's made me a new convert. And the take home basic sourdough is simply outstanding. Looking forward to returning whenever we're in the area!

The seeded bread is for me, undoubtedly the King of the Breads from Julia and her team ... and that is saying something as the sourdough 'village' is also really scoffable & addictive. The cakes are far too tempting and as for the cinnamon rolls ... well lets just say, I have to strictly ration them as a treat as otherwise I wouldn't fit in my jeans! Delicious.

I was walking through Chagford and there was the most incredible smell coming from Beachwood Bakery. It turned out to be a fresh batch of samosas and oh my god they were the best I’ve ever tasted. This bakery is an absolute gem and a reason alone to head to Chagford!

Visited for breakfast eggs benedict on sourdough and yoghurt and berries on brioche toast, both delicious. Always have a nice selection of cakes available including a GF choice. Highly recommend.

Excellent selection of baked goods, the vegetarian pasties are highly recommended, TAKE NOTE this is a popular shop and some stock sells out fast, since COVID is now takeaway only.

Staff are incredibly rude. They didn’t ask us whether we wanted to sit in or take away. I was ignored when I wished to get served. They mixed up our order and acted as if it was our fault, and proceed to glare at us to the point of us leaving our friend to wait for his food from discomfort.

Never have vegetable pasties. Ever. Only a cheese. When I ask for the 25th time why? It's because they have 13 meat options so no room in freezer for a single Vege pasty. Sorry but no. Awful!!!

Haven’t tried anything other than their salad bowls, but WOW!! Their bowls are actually delicious and awesomely priced!! They taste awesome and I always have to convince myself to not spend £100s on JUST their salad stuff. The staff are awesome too and very patient. Definitely a recommendation to try if you like crepes, milkshakes and anything sweet! Or if you just want a salad. :)

I went here with my girlfriend, and we had a lovely time! Delicious food, kind staff, and very nice decor!! I would recommend sharing the sweet food however, as it can be a bit much to have a portion each 🤣 I had the fruity waffles 😁

I've been to the Mila's on Old Town Road a few times. Every time I've been there the majority of the staff have been flustered, abrasive, and not very customer friendly at all. 9/10 times the upstairs seating is closed. I think a lot of problems could be solved by having a seperate takeaway and eat in queue, as quite often you will queue up for ages just to have the girls serving talking to different people in the queue which gets quite overwhelming and confusing. People getting takeaway don't want to have to wait ages for the customers who are sitting in to be served, and vice versa. The only thing that makes up for it is the food is phenomenal! I think staff need to be better trained in customer service, seperate queues, open upstairs seating more often as it's quite disappointing to have to eat your food outside if you don't want to, especially in the cold!

I had some good brownies/blondies from here. They have many flavours, the prices are fair, and you can still find stock in the afternoon, which is definitely not the case with all bakeries. However, the staff didn't seem very friendly and would rather you ordered and left quickly.

For me, this is up there as one of the best bakeries in the city. I adore being able to support this business when I can, as they always deliver on quality. On the rare occasion that I decide to eat in, I opt for a sandwich or salad bowl. Huge rec.

Mila's comes round the business parks, we missed them by a second and the lady driving saw our devastation and turned around to come back and serve us. Literally couldn't rate them higher. Their snacks are too good 😂

Absolutely lovely Bakery, where you can either eat in or take home, the food is divine, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone and would definitely love to go again. The only but (and it has nothing to do with the food), is that the seating area is upstairs which means if you have a pram/pushchair it's quite difficult. But customer service, food were fantastic and the staff were extremely nice and polite and cheerful.

Went here this morning 13/04/23 had a cinnamon cronut and coffee. Both the cronut and the coffee were great. Asked if they mixed if I did some work on my laptop which they were fine about. They gave me some complimentary sour dough toast and butter which was really nice. Really impressed with Rise. Great staff.

Very quality pasty filling. I noticed a subtle taste of red wine in the gravy which was a nice change to the pastys I've had before. Only minor complaint was the pastry was a bit heavy but overall was a good experience. Staff were friendly too, had a good laugh with me when I mentioned about forgetting my keys on the way to the car. I'd recommend grabbing a Cornish Cola too. 😀

Amazing cronuts, sandwiches and freshly baked baguettes served with good coffee and really friendly staff. The salted caramel, jam and cinnamon cronuts in particular are incredible!

What is the point of having a van drive around ringing a bell to alert people your there and then not waiting for anyone to come buy anything. Saw a van pull up outside and thought: yeah you know what i fancy a pasty. Put my shoes on, walked out the door and the van was already gone. Went round the corner to see if it just moved up, nope it was long gone.

Genuine original Devon pasties not that copycat overpriced Cornish slop that you get normally.

Unfortunately I'll not be returning here. The single member of staff is never at the shop front as she is running around like a blue as fly taking telephone others and various other tasks. She never looks happy and nobody wants to see this.

Salad does not look fresh, not enough selection of meats for salad bowl. If they improve salad bowls, would be great.

I stayed at Great Bidlake Manor last week and a big, beautiful chocolate cake had been left on the breakfast table for us. I looked at the slip of paper that was next to it and it had “Foxcombe Bakehouse” on it. I’m so glad I was able to see who had made this because I want to give my sincerest thanks! The cake was absolutely delicious. Probably the best chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten. The icing was divine and the sponge was very soft and moist. It was also decorated very nicely on top, as well! It’s clear a lot of care and effort was put into it. Keep up the good work 🙏🏻

Oh dear we have had a few pasties in Devon now and the big traditional shortcrust was horrible. Just a big lump of the mix in the middle :( gristly and chewy !

Owner was lovely, but the pasties? C’mon maaaan! At least warm them up. Stick them under a heat lamp to stay hot. They’re more like potato and steak than steak and potato. Jam donut was certifiably bussin, as was the Rocky Road slice.

Superb bakery with delicious cakes/bread etc. I will definately go there again, 100% better than the overpriced artisan bakeries. Reminds me of the village bakery that used to be in the village of Rockbeare. Well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.

Unfortunately I've experienced discrimination from the staff here who spoke to me so dismissively and unkindly hen i asked for something I can only assume it was due to my appearance and background as they were perfectly polite to the other man at the till. Sadly in small towns this kind of behaviour is alive and well. I returned my food and will never visit again. Very sad

Medium steak pasty, 2/3 of the way before I found the first and only small peice of meat in the whole pasty. Very expensive for a steak pasty with no meat. Only positive quick service polite friendly staff .

We popped in Warren's today for the first time. The staff were really friendly and chatty, especially with my 4 yr old boy. His first Warren's sausage roll and he likes it. My husband enjoyed the fancy sausage roll and I had a cookie which was really nice. I think this will be our new bakery once we have moved to Ivybridge!

Where's the meat in the "steak pasty"?!?

We called into this Bakery, hoping to find a pastie befitting the area, oh how we wish we had not! Firstly, having asked the question " are the pasties hot?" to which the staff member said "yes" well, "hot" they were not. Tepid at best. The pastry was dry, the filling was dry and somehow managed to taste of nothing. Where was the gravy, meat, seasoning?? The worst pasties ever, don't bother.

I ordered a cake for the anniversary at this bakery and the result disappointed me greatly, I was greatly saddened. I was ashamed to show such a cake for an anniversary, the festive mood was spoiled. Cake very poor quality, poorly made; tasteless, not fresh, very dry, not fluffy, not soft. The decoration is very ugly and the cake itself is unholy, ugly, looks fried any way. The one who baked this cake has absolutely no experience and does not pay, does not try. I do not recommend ordering a cake for a celebration at this bakery, you will get a very poor product and pay dearly.

I've just had a pasty from Ellis bakery Tavistock and I must say that out of all the pasty I've had in the past 60 years this is far the best thanks, and very good price.

Absolutely the best pasty around – even better than the big-name ones in town! We’re loving the new place – it’s got such a great vibe. Please bring back the meal deal! That was always me and my son’s favourite – the perfect combo of large pasty, stinky crisps(BBQ) , and a drink. We really miss it!

Stumbled across this bakery today whilst visiting Tavistock. We have visited Tavistock itself numerous times, but had never wandered up this street and boy we are SOOOOO glad we did!! Honestly, the BEST cream cakes and Donuts we have ever had!!! We will definitely be returning.

Wanted a snack for lunch, found this bakery in King Street, the best pasties ever, my wife had steak I had cauliflower cheese(I am not vegetarian) for a change COULD NOT fault either of these and at £2.50 each the best value,after eating went and bought a loaf of bread which was brilliant. I visited today for a Pizza box and some sweet treats for the family (quite a simple order), however the staff members (short lady - supervisor and a tall man) started moaning because I scanned my Greggs app before I finished ordering all my items. They said that because I scanned my app, they had to complete that transaction and place a second transaction for the other items. Didn't quite know why but said okay and paid for the pizza box. I then proceeded to order the remaining items I wanted but instead the staff members ignored me and took the next customers order. I let them serve that customer and kindly said that I hadn't finished ordering (and she knew this) but both staff members started getting rude and abusive. I decided to avoid confrontation and walk away. The customer service was awful and both staff members need retraining! Additionally be aware that they also refused to accept offers on the app.

Should be ashamed to call yourself part of Greg’s. Good all cold and price increased due to its location. Dirty and obviously not cleaned or cared for location. Cold sausage roll - come on Greg’s it’s what your known for. If you value your Greg’s don’t stop at this place.

Random services stop whilst driving - chose Greggs over the BK next to it. I had a corned beef pasty and a donut, with a hot choccy, yum! Pasty was fairly hot, not warm like it had been sat there all day. Not too much seating in the whole place, but we got a seat whilst the rain shower passed, then we left.

Had to wait 10 mins for one part of order, 20 mins for the other. Sausage bap not up to usual Greggs' standard, seemed a little undercooked. Vegan sausage roll was much more undercooked and my son threw up after eating only half of it.
