Bakery
Coffee shop
Bakers & Co. is a beloved family-owned bakery and cafe in Annapolis, MD, known for its fresh breads, scones, and buns as well as savory tarts and top-quality coffee. The owners, Lucy and Chris Simmons, started at the Anne Arundel County Farmers Market before opening their own brick-and-mortar location. Their delectable cakes have also earned them a reputation as one of the best cake shops in town.
Love this place, a gem. We always enjoy taking a trip here on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The baked goods are always excellent and they make awesome lattes as well. Certainly have to remember they’re only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday tho.
Michael B — Google review
Be sure to arrive earlier in the morning as when they sell out, they sell out! And there is typically a line. From artesian breads to flavorful scones to tasteful croissants, this place is where you need to go. We arrived about an hour after opening, and we waited for about 15 minutes in line which gave us the right amount of time to browse the display case and figure out what we wanted. I opted to go with their classic Market Bun which is a fried pastry rolled in cinnamon sugar. The outside was perfectly crisp with a soft chewy inside. The cinnamon sugar gave it the perfect touch of sweetness. I also had a taste of the almond croissant, it did not lack in the almond flavor, I do wish I tried the almond croissant with the chocolate because that would’ve been just what I was craving. Others in my party got a quiche which they ate cold, and a scone which I did not get to try. We took our pastries to go but did not make it farther than outside the door and ate it at a table outside the establishment.
Nicole F — Google review
The atmosphere here is adorable, but unfortunately the food and coffee didn’t live up to it. The coffee was watery and sour, and the pastry I tried (a raspberry jam bar) was very underwhelming — mostly bar with very little jam. There was also no menu posted and no clear line, which led to people cutting in front of each other. The space itself is cute and best suited for individuals or pairs, but seating is very limited (especially outside), so larger groups would struggle. Overall, I really wanted to love this place, but the drinks and food were not for me.
Lauren H — Google review
Stopped by here while in the area and it is definitely popular as there was a non-stop line and all the inside tables (about 5) were taken, but they had nice shaded outdoor tables with seats. They had a reasonable variety of scones, muffins, and other baked goods averaging about $4 each, along with loaves of bread and coffee and beverages. Staff were very friendly and the line moved quick. Overall we thought our scones were good with lots of fruit, and the bread was fresh and tasted great. Would love to see a little more variety and the Annapolis prices are a tad high, but such is the city. Anyhow, definitely give it a try - a friend swears their market buns are one of his favorite local baked goods.
Jason Z — Google review
Excellent coffee. They use ceremony coffee beans. Have had latte and iced lattes, both are great. They have a small selection of baked goods. The interior is small but they have an outdoor seating area too, in the shade. Highly recommend!
Christine B — Google review
Mostly underwhelming. Quality of the food is disappointing. We ordered the quiche, almond croissants, regular croissants, scones, pain de compagne and the breakfast buns. 🫰 and definitely not worth it. Save your money and just go for the breakfast buns. Quiche, well cooked but bland with a soggy bottom Scones gluey and heavy. Bread was supposed to be sourdough but no sourdough flavor detected. Some chain grocery stores can make a better loaf than the we bought. It did look tempting. Almond croissants were the most disappointing. Undercooked gluey pastry on the inside covered with gobs of perhaps almond paste but mostly just a sugary mixture. Again, don't be fooled by the glossy looks and skip the ho hum regular croissants as well.
R B — Google review
Worth 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 hype 👏🏼 Anything and everything they bake looks and will probably taste like heaven 🤝 and butter My partner got the lemon poppy seed bar and it was the perfect amount of buttery and sweet, not overly but enough to be like YES. We are DOING THIS his buddy got the almond croissant and let me try a bite too. I’m not a croissant gal, but HOLY 🐄 it was amazing
Jen M — Google review
Love this place! An Annapolis gem. Excellent pastries and coffee (including lattes) with a European vibe inside. Best bakery in town and I am fairly critical about baked goods as I bake a fair amount myself. Their lemon poppyseed almond cake and the market bun are my favorites. Always busy when I go, but the line moves quickly. They sell out of some items by the time they close, but you can also pre-order the day before online if you’re set on getting something in particular.

Wedding bakery
Sweet Hearts Patisserie, located in Annapolis, is a charming bakeshop known for its scratch-made European desserts and creative cupcakes. The French-inspired decor and delicate baked goods create an elegant ambiance that transports visitors to a patisserie in Paris. Established by pastry chef Kristen Rowell in 2012, this boutique bake shop offers a delightful array of delicacies including French macarons, petit fours, and custom wedding cakes.
Hands down the GOAT of bakeries in Annapolis. I discovered them for my wedding and never looked back. My pop pop was a baker and you learn about how a cake should taste. Their cakes are overly sweet and everything is from scratch. From a simple funfetti to gluten free chocolate cake to the coconut cake and more. Besides celebrations just popping in to see their new flavors each month and grabbing a cross ain't and tea for coffee is a treat. I've become friends with the staff as well and truly grateful for their kindness and talents. It's hard to find good people...Sweet Hearts you need to look no further.

I am always on the hunt for the best almond croissant. I came here to buy petit fours, but got a croissant to try. It was the closest to a Montreal almond croissant, in size, texture of the almond, and balance of flaky dough, and almond cream inside I have encountered in Annapolis. Not overwhelming, or cloying, or dry. Perfect for one person, reasonable, and very delicious. The petit fours are a work of art...the only place in Annapolis that has them that I know of. Delicious.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with Sweet Hearts Patisserie for our wedding. From the initial tasting to the final discussions of the design of our wedding cake everything was flawless. The cake and cupcakes were not only beautiful but delicious. I cannot recommend them enough.

I ordered a cake for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday. Given the audience, we stuck with a simple classic yellow cake with buttercream icing. The cake was flawless and gorgeous. I'm not a cake person, but I loved this! It was moist, buttery and not overly sweet. It was huge hit with the guests as well. We got a big cake and there's less than a quarter of it left. Worth every penny! Now I have to go back to get some of the beautiful macarons.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this lovely bakery and staff. They provided the most beautiful and delicious pastries for my daughter’s wedding. Everyone kept saying “these are the best macarons I’ve ever tasted”! Everything was so amazing and beautiful and Ashley was so wonderful to work with. I can’t thank you enough for those amazing desserts. Well done Sweet Hearts Patisserie staff!!
Michelle J — Google review
Sweet Hearts Patisserie made the most amazing cake for my mom’s 80th birthday! I chose their custom “Abstract Flowers” design, and it was absolutely stunning! The cake was moist, flavorful, and baked to perfection, with buttercream icing that was creamy, delicious, and not overly sweet—just perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop raving, saying it was the best cake they’d ever had! The ordering process was simple, and the staff were friendly, accommodating. Thank you, Sweet Hearts Patisserie, for helping make my mom’s milestone birthday so special!

What I love most about this establishment is that the door is still open even a minute before closing time and everything is still out in the cases for purchasing! Most places start packing up and locking the door 30-45 minutes before closing, but not here. They also don't make you feel uncomfortable and unwanted for coming in a minute before closing. They greet you with a smile as if you were coming in at the time of opening. The employees seem to love their job too. They are truly Sweet Hearts 💕
Naomi S — Google review
They were accomodating to custom requests and the cake I ordered was so delicious and perfectly decorated. Highly recommend ordering at least one week ahead from their website or by phone. The pastries available in the case looked amazing!!! I will be back to try some of those.

Visitors can indulge in delightful flavors such as challah bread, cappuccino muffins, scones, desserts, sandwiches, and Ceremony Coffee.
First time visiting GHBC and it was grand. I didn't know it was there until coming in the area for a nearby establishment. I'm a HUGE bread lover and I totally loved the smells, the staff and the quaintness of this location. The 2 ladies from yesterday were superb. I picked berries and sour cream scone, a spinach and cheese scone and a 4 cheese roll. All 3 of them were so delicious, moist, flavorful and fluffy. I know I will be back. I will also share this with friends and on my social media sites.

I have a gluten intolerance and have SO appreciated the new owner's commitment to providing a variety of delicious gluten friendly products for those of us who need them. I've had the chance to taste most of them since the new owner took over (what can I say, it's hard to find fresh gluten-friendly products!) and I especially love the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, the mocha chocolate chip scones, and the chocolate chip cookies (guess it's obvious I love chocolate!). The buckwheat bread (which, despite its name, is gluten free) is also delicious and makes the BEST sandwiches and toast (no dry, cardboard-like taste here - if you know, you know). The bakery is also very cute, and they just put out some seating in front, which looks like a nice area to eat your treats.

The young lady who took our order was very nice, extremely knowledgeable, patient and very kind & considerate. She took the time to explain about all their breads, muffins, pies, and rolls. We decided to try the Maryland Bread (with old bay) and it was sooo good. We are getting crab soup tomorrow just to try dipping the bread in it. We tried it today with chicken corn chowder and it was so yummy. We also tried their gluten free products and they were delicious. My husband tried a couple of their muffins and he said they were very fresh, real cranberries (cranberry orange) and real orange zest and bits of orange as well. Also the blueberry scone had real blueberries and was also delicious and extremely fresh. We also got their bread pudding and that too was sooo good and yummy. I would highly recommend them to any person who loves fresh baked goods. We did spend 58.00 but we definitely got our money’s worth. (Loaf of Maryland bread, 6 muffins, 1 scone and loaf of bread pudding.

A really friendly bakery. You can have samples while shopping in the store. For me, Butterscotch pecan muffin is amazing! Overall I’ll say the shopping experience here is nice.

Delicious baked goods and breads! The owner, Joe, went above and beyond when our plans changed due to a serious toddler injury, and not only hand delivered our order, but it came with a get well soon note from the entire team. Our community is so lucky to have a source for amazing food and amazing people!

This bakery is a local treasure! They have a wide variety of items but my personal favorite is the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. Perfection! Don't pass up the brownies-- they are amazing.
E K — Google review
Today I bought a challah (egg bread) and two muffins for $17 . The bread was smaller than it used to be, was stale and had egg shells in it. The two muffins were not fully cooked. It seems like the goods were prepared and baked by amateurs. This used to be our bakery to go to for great bread. It has changed owners a couple of times and has started going downhill. My last purchase was terrible. I need to look for a better place to bu y bread now. Edited review after meeting with the owner- Thanks for meeting with me and explaining the recent difficulties the business had while the main baker was in training. Thanks also for the refund offer and the replacement with a free challah bread and two free muffins. The second set were delicious and definitely met the expectations of what we had been used to purchase at Harvey Breas. As the saying goes “To err is human and to forgive divine.” We will continue to patronize your business and as you offered contact you if anything concerns us. Good luck!

I love Great Harvest, in general. This one is still getting re-situated with new ownership and figuring out the menus. Dakota break is dry and chalky. But the white cheddar garlic was nice! Hoping they bring back the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! Miss those...

Great cafe, with a variety of coffee choices and pastries. The service was superb, with plenty of seating and chill vibes. The cappuccino and cortado were both perfectly prepared, and tasteful. Definitely recommend the coffee cake to go with it.

Great coffee and lovely atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. My vanilla latte was wonderful. This is a great place to come with a small group and get coffee

The coffee was really good. I tried the quiche and enjoyed that as well. This place has a nice vibe. But I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of a snarky comment the barista made. “This isn’t like Starbucks.” If wanted Starbucks, I would have went there. The food and coffee are worth it though even if the customer service is questionable.

Cute Cafe in Annapolis. I got the caprese scone which lived up to its name and was quite delicious! They also have several great tea, coffee (Ceremony!), and wine options available.

Coffee here is amazing! The quiche is really good as well. The blueberry scone is probably the best scone I’ve ever had! Friendly staff and cute coffee shop. Must visit if Craven coffee and you are near Annapolis.

This is the second best cappuccino I have ever bought at a business. I got 2 because I didn't watch them the first time. They are using what looks like a 18g shot with a 10sec preinfusion and 30 second pull. Excellent results. The overnight oats I got were also delicious.

When I travel I'm always searching for delicious gluten free breads, pastries, and desserts. I saw a raving review here for Curate's gf lemon poppyseed muffin. While I'm not a poppyseed fan, I decided to pop in and see what else gf they offered. To my surprise there were two gf choices - a jam bar and a pina colada muffin. I love coconut so I went for the muffin. It didn't disappoint. It was moist, flavorful, and delicious. I also got an iced tea. I appreciate that it wasn't brewed through the coffee maker. It's disgusting when places brew coffee and tea through the same machine, which this place did not. Overall a lovely stop. Recommend!!!!

This is the type of coffee shop you come into just planning to get coffee but end up getting pastries and other food because everything looks delicious!!! The space is well laid out- lots of seating options both inside and outside and it’s not even that big! Service is friendly. Coffee, match are both great! Their to stay cold coffee cup were nice to drink out of. Their quiche was out of this world! I took a bite from a family member and ordered a piece to go! Def will be back!

I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to you and your entire team for the outstanding catering service you provided at our wedding reception. The quality of the food was exceptional, and every dish was beautifully presented. Our guests are still raving about the delicious flavors and variety of options, and we were thoroughly impressed by the seamless execution of the meal service. It truly made our special day even more memorable. Additionally, your staff really did a beautiful job with setup and execution and we were so impressed. From the very beginning, working with your team was a pleasure. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to creating a personalized menu that suited our tastes were evident throughout the entire process. We were confident in your ability to deliver a perfect experience, and you absolutely exceeded our expectations. I would also love to specifically mention how truly impressed we were with Nanette who was paramount in planning, set up, and execution of the entire process. I couldn't have imagined the planning side of this to be any more streamlined. She is TOP NOTCH! Thank you once again for being such an important part of our celebration. We look forward to recommending Main and Market to friends and family in the future.

After my son‘s dental appointment, which is right upstairs, we decided to have lunch. I haven’t been to Maine and market in quite a while and I’m so glad we decided to go. The food was amazing, I love their menu. Everything sounds so good. I decided to have the pesto salmon bowl, which was absolutely delicious and plentiful, I had to take some home. My son had the salmon and he thought it was quite delicious. And the service is always on spot. The cocktail menu is yummy as I had the berry basil cocktail, it was so good. I had to have two!

After many many years of eating at Main and Market I had an appalling experience on Wednesday 8/27/2025. I arrived at 11:55 am to wait for my lunch companion at 12:00 PM. I was seated by the usual wonderful hostess that I have seen for many years. The server was a young man, had never met him before, he too was great. Brought water, got my soft drink. At 12:05 my companion arrived. We took a few minuets to order, often we get the special because we eat there 3-5 times a month, so we got the special flank steak. People started to flow in, an 8 top across for us, a four top next to them, and 2 top in front of us and so on. We were seated at the last table on the east side booth. After some 20 + minuets people started getting their food, we had ordered long before them. I asked the server what the delay was, he said"your food will be right out. I noticed a women wandering from table to table, she never spoke with us. I had to leave by 1 pm for a medical appointment in Glen Burnie at 1:00 pm. At 12:55 I'd had enough and went up front to ask for the manager, all of the rest of the staff knew me, a lady came out ,didn't speak, I asked if she was the manager and she responded curtly, YES! I asked why she wasn't helping the obviously overworked staff???? At this point she states "you don't tell me what to say!" I said obviously neither does anyone else, at this point she yells, GET OUT, JUST GET OUT, three times. I replied "I am not going anywhere. So she runs in the back saying she was calling the police. Then Evie Turner, Vice President, came out, I explained my self, she seemed shocked. I told her of our business relationship with the firm. I then went back to the table to leave money for my companion and left.
James G — Google review
While a relaxing spot, the seating is too small and I’m a normal-sized person. It was evident they waited for my shrimp and grits to be done for the rest of the food to come out. All other food was cold and my shrimp and grits was so oily. Also, the slice of orange provided was mostly rind.
Virginia M — Google review
Been a regular restaurant customer for almost 20 years. Prices have greatly increased for the average quality. Plenty of places in town that are far better for the pricing . Avoid the Pad Thai aka vermicelli spaghetti- all of us thought it was dreadful & we returned it. Stick to standard American cuisine and it’s fine but anything else misses the mark. Staff are nice but often very over worked. Something has changed but I can’t quite put my finger on what it is exactly
Kimberly K — Google review
Nice place with good food, I enjoy the meatloaf here and they do a Monday price special for it too. Service can be hit or miss but even with the C-team on shift, they are adequate enough and wait time is almost always minimal. Of special note is the on-site bakery, they have some delicious choices of pastries and cakes!

This donut shop's specialty is freshly made donuts, which makes for a different and much more flavorful experience than what you may be used to at a chain restaurant. There are 24 flavors to choose from, including classics like strawberry and plain as well as more unusual options like salted caramel (with pretzels) or the Charlie Brown (made with peanut butter). The shop also sells coffee and tea, as well as baked goods such as muffins and danishes.
Got a half dozen donuts for the first time yesterday. They were all delicious but the Sand Dune was heaven! Almost forgot to snap the pic before we dug in. Staff was super friendly.

Had Sandy Pony donuts for our wedding, and it was a slam-dunk choice. We got so many compliments from guests on having done this as opposed to a traditional wedding cake. Affordable, delicious, colorful, and it comes together fast.

Came for a quick mid morning snack on Sunday the 29th around 12 pm. We were the only ones here, service was quick and the donuts were warm. It was a cute small shop with great music playing. I had the blueberry pie, my partner had the yabba dabba doo-nut, my kids had the pony party and snow cap. They were all very delicious and we have some to take home and try later. We will definitely be stopping by again at some point when in the area now that we know it exist.

Cake donuts, they were fresh, the glaze was just right and everything tasted good. I think the presentation is a little mediocre which worried me on the taste but turned out good. I only gave a 4 start because they only have cake donuts and the price is a little up there. For a specialty shop the folks behind the counter were great, the price was fair and the food was good.

I came on a rainy Tuesday morning so I can't say anything for a normal wait time. But I was taken care of immediately and it was really cool to see the donuts dropped into the oil to cook. I sat in my car and meant to wait but couldn't cause the smells that were emanating from the donut box were too tempting. I ate the Porky Pony donut....oh my goodness. The donut was light and airy, there was a crisp on the outside from, not only from being fried; but also from the delicious bacon bits. To me, bacon donuts are usually a miss-this one was a straight hit. The coffee was nice, fresh, and hot. I highly recommend this place. And hope to be able to return soon.

Had a fabulous visit today and was wowed by the owner and his business friend from Loony Bin BBQ. Delicious combo of donut meets East Carolina pulled pork was my meal of choice before a movie. Definitely get there, both places, if you get a chance. Sandy Pony Donuts has unique flavors that are as beautiful to the eye as they are to the palette. Fun names followed by toppings will just leave you undecided for quite some time. Very much worth the cost because they are made fresh to order. Be prepared to devour the most sweetest concoction to your mouth yet. One of the photos here is a donut meets East Carolina pulled pork meal. Loony Bin BBQ folks drop by on occasion for a mash-up and I'm glad I was there for their visit today.

Delicious! Wanted a gluten-free treat, and these donuts did not disappoint. Service was great. They provided me all of my options. I went with Sandune, blueberry with powdered sugar and chocolate. Best gluten-free donuts I’ve had in over a year

Black Market Port Annapolis is a delightful culinary gem that began as a popular weekend food truck and has since blossomed into a cherished bakery. Located at 127 Hillsmere Drive in Annapolis, this spot offers an enticing array of sweet and savory treats, including breakfast sandwiches, avocado toasts, and an ever-changing selection of pastries like lemon-blueberry scones and triple chocolate brownie croissants. The vibrant atmosphere draws crowds eager to indulge in their delicious offerings.
Went here for the first time yesterday, and it was great! The service was quick and super friendly, they had an amazing selection and the menu can accommodate multiple budgets easily. The pastries were all delicious!! I also appreciate that they have an option for decaf espresso - as a suggestion, it would definitely be helpful to add that to the menu/online! That’s something I personally look for when going to new cafés.

I love this bakery currently with a location in Edgewater. Only a few tables inside but plenty more seats outside. The options are fantastic and they switch up the menu while still maintaining the great core options. They even have a couple breakfast sandwiches along with a variety of options with a croissant style pastry. The muffins are delicious too. The line is long but it moves fast. Arrive early for the best selection.

Absolutely delish baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Weekly bakery specials combined with a solid standard menu. This small bakery has a few tables inside and few outside so can get packed quickly. They serve Rise Up coffee and have some bottle drinks as well.

Lovely place with fresh and delicious pastries and coffee. Good to get a cup of good coffee before you hit the water.

This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved all their pastries—everything was surprisingly delicious! However, I did run into a small issue. I bought several pastries to-go, but when I got home, I realized one item was missing. Unfortunately, they close at 2 PM and, being a Sunday, I’ll have to wait until Wednesday to follow up about the missing pastry.

An amazing local bakery featuring several pastries that EXCEED expectations. Genuinely some of the best in the entire area. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a local favorite that is off the beaten tourist path.

This was my first time going here after hearing a lot of really great things. The employees were really nice and our Cappuccinos were delicious. We got two muffins and although we didn’t try them yet, they look delicious. My only complaint is that that I paid $20 for two breakfast sandwiches that were both missing the mayo and cheddar cheese after they confirmed that I wanted that on there. They were okay, but $10 for one egg and a piece of bacon on bread wasn’t worthy. Felt kind of ripped off. **UPDATE** To reiterate, I wasn’t totally unhappy with my experience to begin with this is why I gave 4 stars after my experience. The employees were really nice, our cappuccinos were delicious, and the muffins we got were amazing. They DEFINITELY lived up to the hype. My only disappointment at first was the breakfast sandwiches, which I felt were a little on the light side and were missing the mayo and cheddar cheese I had asked for and that were supposed to come on the sandwhiches. At $10 each, they felt underwhelming. However, I was later reached out to by Katie, who responded to my review and asked me to reach out via email. She was really responsive and refunded me for both sandwiches within 24 hours of my email to her. She was professional, apologetic, and went above and beyond what I expected. Honestly, most places wouldn’t do that, and I think this was the best customer service I’ve had in a very long time. Because of her effort to make things right, I’m changing my 4-star review to a 5-star. I’ll definitely be returning!

This was my first experience of Eat Sprouts. My daughter took me after having an amazing salad there. On this day, we picked up two great salads and four different reheatable meal options, including vegetarian, chicken and beef selections, for my parents for dinner—so two nights worth! They enjoyed each one. We also grabbed a chocolate peanut butter treat for the road. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The variety was wonderful.

So happy that a friend turned me onto Sprout because this place is really amazing! Super friendly and helpful staff who know their products. The food is really yummy. The menu changes monthly so prepared to be wowed. We both had the cheeseburger bowl and it was delish! Their Vietnamese cold brew coffee is completely addicting. Can't wait to go back!

I love this store and the concept. Eat Sprout has an ample variety of delicious pre-made local/organic/gluten free meals you can take home and quickly heat up (if necessary). Super easy and convenient! Tonight I had the Southwest Turkey & Quinoa w/street corn w/lime crema and it was delicious! They have bunch of delicious and clean snacks. You can get meals made there for breakfast/lunch/dinner, fruit smoothies, and coffee drinks. They also have a nice selection of bottled fruit drink blends, teas, etc. in varying sizes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. The store hours are great- seven days a week. There needs to be a lot more places like this!

Found Sprout while I was lookin for a place to go super early in the morning to kill some time, and it turned out to be a gem! It is the perfect place for people like me that has a super strict diet (no sugar, no dairy, no gluten and vegetarian). I could find a variety of things I could eat without feeling sick from my stomach. Everything organic and local! Plus, the staff is super friendly.

Exactly what Annapolis has been missing- in a world of burgers and fries, fast food options this healthy, made from scratch, high protein meal prepped cafe lies. We tried it on a whim, and loved everything we got- finally a complete meal packed to go that is filled with flavor, no added junk, and inexpensive.
Charles L — Google review
Stumbled into Sprout and I’m so glad I did! The shop is super cute and the staff was very friendly! I just grabbed a few packages treats to go (coffee cake, protein cake, and a curry chicken salad). Everything was great! I will definitely go back and try other menu items when I have more time! Gluten free and dairy free options available! Highly recommend!

Wish they had specific ingredients listed on their labels instead of catch all words like "spices." Even a sign would work if they didn't want to reformat their labels. It's very hard to figure out what's safe to eat if you have food allergies to a specific spice. Person at the register wasn't helpful. I'd love to support this business--especially since they tout nutrition and label some food GF/DF, but more transparency with their ingredients would be helpful.

Chick & Ruth's Delly is a beloved diner located in downtown Annapolis, known for its classic American fare and lively atmosphere. The 55-year-old institution is adorned with vintage memorabilia, including hundreds of pictures of former politicians, Navy alums, and celebrities who have dined there. The menu features greasy-spoon breakfasts, piled-high sandwiches named after local politicians, and a variety of other delicious options such as pizzas and burgers.
Very cool place. Super casual spot with great food. We started with the crab dip which was pretty good. My girlfriend got the soup with half Maryland crab soup and half cream of crab and said it was pretty good. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was super crispy with good seasoning. The waffle was a Normal waffle but definitely not bad at all. The potatoes were decent. My girlfriend got the creamed beef and said it was pretty good. Service was good. The milkshakes looked nice but we were too full so we didn’t try those. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast

What a great gem! This place has been a staple since 1965, and you can really feel the cozy, nostalgic vibe as soon as you step in. The menu is extensive, with plenty of options to suit all tastes, there's something for everyone! The service is speedy and the servers are incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. One unique touch is the daily tradition of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at 8:30am (I witnessed it on Labor Day, at least!), it's a lovely way to start the day. The decor is also noteworthy, with an interesting collection of photos featuring MD governors and politicians. And if you're feeling adventurous, be sure to check out their infamous food challenge! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a warm, unique, and welcoming dining experience.

I looked around Annapolis for a massive crab cake on the menu, and that is exactly what I got when I came here! The cream of crab soup was very good although it was not a “lump” crab soup… still great though. It was very well seasoned. Just the right amount of salt. I think one thing that is not mentioned enough is how good, soft, and massive the poppy sees roll is! Perfectly buttered and toasted. When I added some crab cake to my roll and dipped it in my soup, it was eye-closing good!!! The crab mac and cheese was decent but nothing too special. The baked potato could have been cooked more. It was a little too firm for my liking. Nonetheless, it was an amazing meal I enjoyed very much! I’m sure I will be back!

I Can’t tell you how much I love the character of this place. Felt like I was transported back into the 1960’s. This place was bustling busy so me & the Mrs. ate at the counter. I went with what was considered the most popular item on the menu which was a jumbo lump crab cake, and I got a classic cheese steak & fries. Both were very delicious. If you happen to be in the Annapolis area, I highly suggest you stop in here. You won’t regret it. I didn’t have the breakfast menu but the plates coming out looked phenomenal.
C G — Google review
This place is a local legend and deservedly so. I would say it's among my favorite Annapolis restaurants. There are a lot of options including the famous crab cakes and all-day breakfast. As a result it tends to be pretty busy and you may have to wait for a table if you come during peak hours, especially in the middle of tourist season. It is tight inside and I wouldn't recommend coming here with a group of more than 4 people. It is wheelchair accessible but only through the back alley door. I would recommend coming in the off-season like we did and after 1 pm. But we had a great time and the food was excellent, and we didn't have to wait long for it.

First time in Annapolis and tried to eat each meal somewhere new, but had to take a second trip here. I'm not sure how you can make pastrami taste like it's more than a deli sandwich but it was incredible. The Philly was pretty good, and great burgers. Tried the crab mac and cheese as well, I would say that was good, but everything else was great. Service was really good and the place had a really cool old deli vibe they should never change.

Located in the historic maritime district of Eastport, Boatyard Bar & Grill is a vibrant nautical-themed spot offering a wide range of seafood, including crab and oysters, as well as burgers, pizza, and a full bar. The interior exudes the charm of a classic yacht with white walls, mahogany accents, sea foam green ceilings, and wooden beams. It boasts an extensive raw bar featuring oysters, clams, shrimp, and mussels.
We celebrated my birthday here, and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was beyond delicious, especially the artichoke dip, calamari, soups, and oysters. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, and the staff made the experience even more special with their friendly and attentive service. It truly felt like a celebration. Highly recommend for any occasion or just a great meal by the water. Can’t wait to come back!

We started with the crab dip, crab balls, and soup with half MD crab soup and half cream of crab. The crab dip was super good. The crab balls were really crispy with a nice amount of meat filling on the inside. The sauce with the crab balls was also pretty good. The soup was exactly what I wanted. It was a nice combo of bold flavors from the Md crab soup with the rich texture of cream of crab. For entrees, I got the boss burger which was basically a double bacon cheeseburger. My girlfriend got the crab dip sandwich. Our server Jenna was very nice and even made me my own spicy mayo for my fries. My burger was pretty good and my girlfriend liked her sandwich too. For dessert we got the butter cake and key lime pie. Both were absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend this place, particularly for a casual lunch.
Charles D — Google review
First time trying Boatyard and the vibe walking in was vibrant with a lot of ocean themed decor. We got a table within 10 mins even though they were extremely busy… The waitress also took our order relatively quickly. We ordered salmon salad, w/ a side of BBQ wings, goat cheese and arugula salad & a hot dog and fries. Honestly, it wasn’t anything special, but it’s an edible American version of sea food (comparing to Caribbean styled sea food which I grew up enjoying). That being said, it filled a belly. Will we willingly return… maybe…

These may have been the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. I loved the mashed potatoes and street corn as sides too. They were a large portion of crab meat, like they say free of fillers. They tasted fresh, and they were creamy, nice texture. The sailor’s mussels were amazing, I’m not even a huge fan of mussels, but these were good. My husband was very pleased with them. Jenna was our server and she took care of us. She was attentive and pleasant! The prices were right too.

I really enjoyed the Boatyard. I was by myself so I sat at the bar and chatted to the bar tender a bit. He was outstanding. I had Antione’s Oysters Rock for an app. They were PERFECT! Gobbled them up and then ate my crab cake sandwich with a couple of Boatyard largers which were also very good! Oh, and the toffee cake dessert was incredible too! Definitely a great spot! Fun atmosphere, friendly and fast service, and awesome food! I LOVE MARYLAND CRABCAKES!! Why can’t anyone else make them like they do??

If you’re ever in Annapolis, the Boatyard Bar & Grill is the real deal. From the moment you walk in, the energy feels alive. the service is on point even when the place is packed. It’s not quiet, but that’s part of the experience. It’s loud, it’s lively, and it feels like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Perfect spot for great food, good people, and that true Eastport waterfront charm. Highly recommend.
Jose Q — Google review
On our first visit to Annapolis and we chose to check out the Boatyard for a casual dinner. The weather was very nice so we chose the available outdoor seating. We went inside to have a drink at the bar while we waited for a table. It was a Friday evening, so the place was pretty busy. It didn't take long and we were sitting down ordering. So the food was pretty good, the drinks were good, and the vibe was cool.

Everything was delicious. Flavorful and served up fresh and hot, just like I like it. As soon as the food was ready, it was brought right over to our table. Amazing service and presentation of the food. The ambiance was very pleasant and family oriented. Open space, with a nice bar and store to buy souvenirs and the state of Maryland merchandise. It was absolutely great. Parking lot right across the street for convenient parking. Outdoor seating, covered to protect you from the sun but also a great way to feel the summer breeze. Just awesome.

Located in the charming Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, Davis' Pub has been a beloved local establishment since the 1920s. Renowned for its creative pub fare and famous crab cakes, this unpretentious neighborhood joint offers great prices and even has a special menu for dogs. The lively atmosphere and outstanding food make it a favorite among locals, earning it a spot in FLOHOM Voyagers Guide twice.

Went for July 4th. Wonderful unassuming neighborhood gem in Annapolis by the marina. Love this place, and love the lovely bartenders. It's a perfect afternoon day drinking spot and turns up nicely in the eve. Beautiful people at the bar. Bravo!!

This is just a dive bar. I was excited when I heard the description for the crab pretzel being fluffy bread with crab meat on top, but much to my disappointment, this is just soggy bread with cream cheese and too much salt. The three staff members I attempted to communicate with seemed too busy and disconnected overall a horrible waste of time and money. If you want a real crab experience, there is a much better bar for sailors that is just two blocks to the northwest.

Spectacular pub. Awesome food, friendly staff, and a great selection of food. The pub tots were our favorite, but our entrees (a pulled pork sandwich and house salad) were also excellent. We live in Virginia, but will DEFINITELY be coming back! Additionally, the nearby area is very cute and nice to sit and enjoy the marina.

Wanted to like this place, and I guess for crab it was good. had crab cakes and fish/chips. The crab was really good. The fish (fried cod) was way over cooked and dry. Cole slaw not very tasty and the fries were very bland.

Disappointing Experience – Never Even Got to Try the Food or Sit Down! I’m from out of town and was excited to try this place after seeing online that it was dog-friendly. I brought my dog and planned to sit outside, but when I arrived, things were confusing right from the start. There were no clear signs about where to check in or wait to be seated. I politely asked a young female waitress outside if I should go in or wait there, but she didn’t greet me or seem friendly at all. She didn’t offer any estimated wait time or direction — just an unwelcoming attitude that really set the tone. There was also nowhere to wait for a table, which made things even more awkward. What made it worse was that this happened on a WEEKDAY / Thursday around 12:15 PM, not even during a lunch rush or weekend crowd. It was calm, so there’s really no excuse for such poor customer service! I ended up leaving and going somewhere else, so I can’t comment on the food. After reading other low/one-star reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s had issues with rude or unhelpful staff. Hopefully the management addresses this and improves how guests are greeted — and maybe adds some clearer signage for check-in, especially for outdoor seating!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Davis’s Pub is a fantastic spot in Annapolis that you absolutely have to check out! The fish and chips here are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, golden batter on the outside and perfectly flaky fish on the inside. The portion size is generous, and the fries are just the right amount of salty and crispy. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a real local charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed evening, Davis’s Pub is the place to be for delicious food and a great time. Highly recommend the fish and chips!

Sailor Oyster Bar is a cozy and stylish outfit that offers a variety of fresh oysters, raw bar fare, sandwiches, charcuterie, and cocktails. Located on West Street in Annapolis, Maryland, this locally-owned watering hole may be small but it overflows with character and tasty small plates paired thoughtfully with craft beers and wines.
We’ve visited Sailor Oyster Bar many times, and each experience leaves us excited to return. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday. There was no room for us downstairs so we sat upstairs; it was our first time there, and we enjoyed it, though I still prefer the vibe and atmosphere downstairs. The upstairs does offer its own bar and bathroom, which is convenient. We always order the special of the day, and the oysters were as delicious as ever. We tried a variety of dishes, and every bite was fantastic. The attentive staff, top-quality and creative food, great drinks, inviting atmosphere, and excellent happy hour prices are what keep us coming back. Keep up the amazing work, S.O.B.!

Five stars all around! I had such a lovely experience at Sailor Oyster Bar. The oysters were incredibly fresh—clean, briny, and beautifully presented. I followed that up with the smoked whitefish dip, which was creamy, smoky, and totally hit the spot. I also had some of the best dirty martinis I’ve had in a while—perfectly chilled and just the right amount of salty. I sat at the bar and was taken care of by Avery, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is chill, stylish, and relaxed—great for anyone who appreciates high-quality seafood in a laid-back setting. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Annapolis!

Worth the walk from downtown! It’s a neighborhood raw bar - less tourists & more locals. We came at 4:30 on a Saturday and they were already busy. Oysters and shrimp cocktail were great. Pickles were great (a little spicy) and olives were good too. Our cocktails were delicious. The service was top notch - so friendly all around. There are a few tables outside on the sidewalk.

Place has style & swagger like no other. Cocktail menu is on a whole other level. The restaurant has also gave me a new appreciation for caviar that I have never had before. If you find yourself in Annapolis, make sure to stop by the charming Bean Rush Café. This cozy spot is a favorite among locals, from busy moms with strollers to students engrossed in their laptops and seniors enjoying a leisurely chat. The café features communal tables that invite interaction or solitude—whatever suits your mood!
My husband and I came from Harford County to support small businesses in Maryland. The latte had good flavor and the muffins were good but a little crumbly. The caramel apple cake was so good we got an extra one to go. I would have liked to have had a plate for the food (I should have asked for one), also I think the standard is a paper cup - I always prefer a mug for dining in, so I made sure to ask for one when I ordered. Staff was awesome! We would definitely come back!

My husband and I have made this a weekend staple since before we got married. Now almost 4 years later, we bring our 13 month old son (and our dog Kalvin) here almost every Saturday or Sunday. We use the toast app and order online to maximize our time spent together. Our order is always correct, and made quickly, ready for us within 5-10 minutes of placing our order. Coffee is DELICIOUS. I have never had a latte I didn’t like, and the regular dark roast is not bitter — it’s perfect. The staff at the West Annapolis location are so friendly, and they remember who we are. Very welcoming, neighborly cafe. We don’t know what we would do without it!

I love the setup with plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor). We tried the honey toffee and brûlée lattes and both were lovely. I think my favorite was the brûlée, though I was told the honey toffee is the local favorite! We had a nice toasted croissant as well.

I frequent this coffee house. Egg salad, breakfast sandwiches, and of course the coffee is great. The coffee is not overly sweet or overpowered by the flavors they add. The green smoothie is also very good. Add peanut butter for some extra flavor.

Flavorless bagels, weak coffee, and fake brick backsplashes explain Bean Rush Café the best. I was served quickly, given my bacon, egg and cheese bagel quickly, but unfortunately, the bagel lacked flavor. Onto the coffee; the latte was incredibly weak. Overall, great service but don’t waste your money here.

If you are looking for the perfect coffee shop spot, that’s the place to go. The cappuccino is really good, besides they offer a variety of non dairy milk for those who have lactose intolerance, like myself. And you know what i love most about this place is they also have a good selection of vegan and gluten free baked goods. The chocolate espresso muffins is just DELICIOUS! The staff is ALWAYS friendly and kind, the atmosphere is cozy and this place is located in a very cute neighborhood in Annapolis! The only negative thing to say about this place is the parking is small and may be an issue during a busy hour! However, they deserve 5 stars is one of my favorite coffee shop in Annapolis!

Good food and good environment. There are a million options on the menu I would love to try. I will definitely be coming back as my new cafe/lunch place of choice. The coffee options are delicious and unique as well as the food is so good.

Quick and friendly service awaits along with delicious coffee. I went for the Honey Bee Latte and it didn't disappoint. The egg sandwich was basic but they had hot sauce to help overcome the lack of flavor. Inside appears to be dog and family friendly so enjoy.

Nestled in the heart of Annapolis, Brown Mustache Coffee, LLC stands out as a top coffee spot in the area. Beyond serving exceptional coffee, this unique establishment also houses a bookstore, creating an enchanting atmosphere that sets it apart from other cafes in Annapolis. The well-curated menu offers a diverse range of beverages to cater to every taste.
Brown Mustache Coffee is a true hidden gem in Annapolis. Located inside Old Fox Books, this café offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a great cup of coffee and a good book. The coffee is outstanding, with special options like the Lavender Latte and Honey Almond Latte, both perfectly balanced in flavor. They also offer baked goods, including gluten-free options, which is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Plus, the back patio is a charming spot to enjoy your coffee outdoors. While the indoor space is a bit small and the food menu is somewhat limited, the quality of the coffee and the unique atmosphere more than make up for it.

A cozy and charming coffee spot with gluten-free options, including two types of muffins and a lemon bar. The coffee was delicious, but we were surprised that only one person was working on a Saturday morning, which made the wait a bit longer than expected. Still, the atmosphere was worth it, and the attached bookstore added a special touch. Definitely a great place to visit if you’re not in a rush.
G W — Google review
I was their first customer on a cool Monday morning, and as I approached the coffee bar I noticed that the barista was getting dialed in. That’s when I knew I’d stumbled onto something special. For those not in the know, “dialing in” is the process of adjusting the grind size of the coffee to achieve the perfect time for your shot of espresso. Too short and the espresso is stringent and underextracted; if it goes too long, it’s overwhelming and loses its brightness. Get it just right and a good barista can bring out the best in a coffee, making it truly sing as it hits all the best notes. As soon as I realized what he was doing, I knew I had to order an espresso. I’m glad I did, because the flavor profile was excellent. “It’s nice to see a serious coffee shop in town,” I told them. I wish I could’ve spent all day here. The book shop is cozy and full of all sorts of treasures. As a west coast boy, we don’t get to see many old buildings like this, so the feel and sight and smell of the place was just as intoxicating as the double shot of espresso I was sipping on. This place is a MUST try if you’re in town, and is one of my favorite coffee shops I’ve ever been to.

Very cute bookstore with a coffee shop inside. The staff were super friendly. It is a small space so it can be a little cramped depending on how many people are inside. Worth it though.

My friend and I came here and it was her first time visiting, I was very excited to show her this spot. She got an iced london fog and not only was the cashier/barista brash, but the drink had no ice and was completely watered down.

Brown Mustache Coffee is a charming find with a fantastic patio in the back, ideal for soaking up some nature. The coffee and pastries are top-notch, adding to the appeal of this quaint spot. What makes it even more special is the cute attached bookstore, making it a perfect retreat for book lovers and those looking to spend a relaxing morning. Well worth a visit!

Great, quiet and unique place. Full of books for browsing and buying, an outdoor area to sit and think and take in a little slice of whatever you want to imagine. Really enjoyed the barista and conversation on the local history, and comings and goings of historic Annapolis. Truly a little gem.

AMAZING PLACE! I am mainly writing this for the Floridians that I met at another cafe and told about the Skeleton mermaid Brown Mustache has. I lied I found the photo and I is the attached on of the skeleton on a seahorse. Now to actually review the place… this shop is one in a million! It has a book store comfy eclectic feel to it and an amazing outdoor area (pictures attached)! I highly recommend coming here on a crisp fall day as that is my favorite time to visit and watch the leaves change in DTA! They have amazing coffee and an overwhelmingly comfy atmosphere at all times of year! Each time I come to downtown I try to visit! 💀

Ordered 7 bundlets for my stepmother's 81st birthday, and they were a big hit! Seven of us were able to split the cakes, and each tried several of the options. Favorites were strawberry and cream, chocolate chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle.

Must say these little gems are positively addictive. They are moist and the perfect size. They have such a variety of flavors and usually a special flavor I believe once a month. The staff was very friendly and the store was so cute. I got the 12 custom pack for 24 dollars..so kinda $ and the bigger one was 6. The large ones start at 42. But I am going to say this, they are worth it. Enjoy!

DO YOU SEE THIS MARVELOUS THING? I wouldn’t never had thought something like this could be possible outside a convention center meeting, but what do ya know, here it is, for our occasion and it is literally perfect. The ladies inside are always welcoming , not sure what the bad reviews are referencing but each time I step in all I get is a welcoming experience. So yeah, this is a well priced cake and even better tasting. The online ordering was also very smooth. Thanks for a job well done 😄

Grocery store
Graul's Market in Annapolis, situated near the Naval Academy, is not your typical supermarket. Established in 1958, this renowned grocer offers a remarkable bakery that is hard to resist. From delectable pastries and cupcakes to indulgent brownies and tarts, their bakery case has an extensive selection to satisfy any sweet tooth. Even if you're just picking up milk, it's difficult to pass by without being enticed.
I love the neatness of this establishment. Nice wide aisle grocery shopping that doesn't make you feel crammed. Plenty of great options to appeal to all your grocery needs. Hot foods here are great for a quick lunch as same as the salad bar. We used to come here when I was a kid, my father and I would split some bread and cheeses and deli meats before walking around the capital. Years later I returned to see this store is uniquely well kept. Very well quality as its always been. I must say it's nostalgic and impressive indeed!

One of the very few salad bars you will see left in any grocery store and it's a good one! Fantastic meets in-house butcher so if you buy a whole chicken they will butterfly it for you and wrap it back up at no charge. Also very clean and plenty of attended checkout registers

This is a great little local market which sells the best niche items. I always go in there with a small hand basket and leave with a bunch more stuff than I intended on buying. They have a wonderful selection of foods which are comparably priced with the larger food brands. They however have an awesome selection of locally grown and sourced things the larger stores can't compete with. Try the bakery and deli, they won't disappoint.

Great grocery store for locals but always expensive. So if you can, I'd suggest going anywhere with better selections & pricing. They have a small bakery & a small prepped food area where you can find things like pasta salad, German potato salad, sub sandwiches, crab cakes, chicken cordon bleu, cooked salmon filets, meatloaf.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe | Annapolis is a charming haven for pastry lovers, where the delightful scent of freshly baked treats fills the air. This cozy spot offers a relaxed vibe, making it ideal for casual gatherings or peaceful moments with a good book. The menu boasts an impressive selection of healthy yet flavorful dishes, ensuring that nutritious choices don’t compromise taste. Guests rave about standout items like the Shakshuka and pistachio latte, both bursting with flavor and creativity.
One of my favorite places for coffee but especially for Matcha! The atmosphere is wonderful and all staff are kind. A great place to catch up with friends or to spend some time doing work. The food is amazing as well! For breakfast I would definitely recommend the house breakfast which has a little bit of everything. For lunch I would recommend the grilled cheese and tomato soup! Its elevated and super yummy. Overall it's definitely a staple spot for the area.

Tatte Annapolis offers a cool and laid-back dining experience with its self-serve cafeteria-style setup. You order at the cashier and food will be brought to you. There's a wide variety of dishes, and tons of healthy options to suit different tastes. It seemed like you had to put plates away by yourself? The desserts are definitely the highlight—super tempting and sure to satisfy any sweet cravings. The food was tasty, but the prices are a bit higher than you'd expect for a lunch spot. Parking can also be a bit tricky, especially if you're using the nearby garage. But overall, it’s a great spot for fresh, delicious meals in a lively setting. Definitely worth checking out!

The food was delicious! I prefer sit-down restaurants with wait staff, but my experience here was great. We sat at a table outside and enjoyed the weather. Our food came out quickly and correctly. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food and beverage choices.
Andrew K — Google review
Good atmosphere, food came quick and during brunch time on a Saturday. The lamb hash was good, (couldn’t have the bread) and he ordered the quiche which he was also happy with. This is one of the few times I’ve seen sweet potato cooked well where it isn’t drowned in cinnamon and brown sugar. (The tomatoes being cold was a bit off putting for me) The house latte warmed with almond milk has a smooth, nutty flavor, not bitter but just barely touching the sweet side. Jay helped us out with ordering since I have dietary restrictions, there aren’t many vegan/ dairy free options but she helped with making one. She was friendly, courteous, quite helpful with going to and from the kitchen to make sure the dish was going to be suitable. Sitting in the bar area we did see an incident with a drink being made and she handled it with a cool head and efficiency. Whenever we chatted with her while eating she remained pleasant and aware of her customers. Restaurants can make great food but if their staff isn’t up to par, it’s not worth coming in. It’s a good thing they’ve got Jay 👍🏻

While it is still fresh in my brain! There are very few restaurants these days that I can honestly say 100% they deserve a five star. Maybe it was just my first time experience or maybe it was just my luck, and the good chefs were cooking today. Either way I was pleasantly surprised with what we were served, the atmosphere, the food, and the service was spot on. I did hear some people say they were waiting a bit for their food, but I guess it depends on what you’re ordering or how busy it might be. I took a ton of photos and videos so hopefully I will add enough to do this place justice. I hope to go back and do some more inside the kitchen and make some other videos to post here. But for now, while everything is fresh in my brain, let me just tell you what I thought of this place. Pure magic! The food, the sweets, the coffee/espresso. I couldn’t be more pleased! My wife ordered the ROASTED SALMON & WINTER VEGETABLE RICE BOWL. Her sister ordered the WINTER FARRO BOWL and me? Well I ordered something a little different that you don’t see every day in a café serving breakfast. Shakshuka with lamb meatballs. We all tasted each other‘s dish. Right away my wife was pleased and happy with everything and said this was her new favorite place. Yes, I liked it also. But if I were to complain about anything it would’ve been that the poached eggs have more runny yolk. They were a little overcooked. But I do know from working in a restaurant, and making poached eggs, it’s not the easiest of tasks. Or it could’ve been overcooked in the Shakshuka sauce. Then when we were done, I got a few tasty treats for us to try out… Since this was brunch, I guess we’ll call it at dessert. I got one Passionfruit Kremba and one Espresso Mocha Mousse. They were not overly sweet and my wife has a thing for things that are too sweet. But she enjoyed these! Oh, and I forgot to mention the barista (I’ll have to get his name) made me a traditional espresso, just as it is served in Italy in a small glass… with a tulip design… it was very good 👍 So if you’re ever in the Annapolis Town Center, or in Annapolis, Md. and looking for some great breakfast and brunch, the portions are for the prices you pay. The sandwiches are also good size and I’m sure they have a little something for everyone. And some things are very unique that you won’t find in many breakfast joints or even bakery/café shops. Thanks for stopping by. See you in the next review. And make sure you tell them that Jack Julius sent you! Have a great day! Update! I’ve been there twice now… I will say my second visit was OK. I tried braised rib grilled cheese. As they do in most sandwiches, most of the meat was pulled to the front so the back of the sandwich was just bread. Also, my wife’s dish which had rice and grain. The rice seemed a bit undercooked, and there were also vegetables, string beans that were more raw than they should’ve been. Other than that I think our first visit was the best so far. But what made THIS VISIT all worth while, was one of the waiters and another staff member were getting rid of some desserts that look like they weren’t up to par for the display and I told them, “Hey, Don’t throw them away. You can give them to us!” And they did! Made my day! So for that, I am still keeping it at five stars! Thank you, thank you to the awesome staff!! #BakeryGoods #AnnapolisMD #freshcoffee

Charming, Sophisticated, and Delicious – A True Café Experience Walking into Tatte feels like stepping into a proper European-style café. From the elegant tile floors to the airy high ceilings, there’s an immediate sense of charm and sophistication. The interior is bright, clean, and spacious, with plenty of thoughtfully arranged seating options both indoors and outdoors. Whether you're stopping in solo or meeting friends, you'll easily find a cozy spot to settle in. The baked goods are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—you can taste the quality in every bite. Drinks are made to order and carefully prepared, adding to the artisanal feel of the place. A lovely touch is their table service—once you place your order, your food is brought to you, enhancing the overall experience and adding a personal feel that many cafés lack. Tatte blends atmosphere, service, and quality into a truly satisfying visit. I’ll definitely be back for another crafted drink and a sweet indulgence.

Stepping into Palate Pleasers, Inc. in Annapolis feels like entering a delightful culinary haven that captivates your senses from the moment you walk through the door. It’s as if you've wandered into a charming kitchen where every detail is infused with care and passion. For those planning special events, choosing Palate Pleasers for catering is an exceptional decision.
Selecting the Palate Pleasers was above and beyond the best choice we made for our wedding day. Amy was so kind and truly made us feel special on our wedding day. We had a few rough ideas of what we wanted, but her suggestions really made our menu come together perfectly. The food was so delicious, our guests raved about it. My husband and I ate the leftovers for a week straight and were still sad when we ran out. I truly can't thank Amy and Eric more, we will absolutely be coming back to Annapolis for their food again!

I highly recomend Palate Pleasers for any catering needs! They did an amazing job at my wedding- I can't tell you how many guests have mentioned how much they loved the food. They gave us a fully customizable menu with any idea I came up with. They were so easy to work with- from the tasting to the day itself, I never had an issue getting a hold of Amy. She answered any questions I had. She helped me with linen rentals and tables. I'm very glad I decided to go with Palate Pleasers for my wedding day!

My husband and I had the pleasure of using Palate Pleasers as our wedding caterer in April 2018. We had initially been considering a small wedding reception at a restaurant to minimize the catering decisions. When we fell in love with a venue that required an outside caterer we had numerous concerns, especially since I have a gluten-free diet restriction. Selecting Palate Pleasers turned out to be a fantastic decision. Amy and Eric were a joy to work with. Every step of the process was great. They made planning our menu easy and accommodated my diet restrictions perfectly. Our entire menu, minus one item was gluten-free so that I didn’t have to worry about cross-contamination. We chose to have a simpler menu that would be enjoyable for our adult and child guests alike. Amy and Eric were both open and receptive to our request to include chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese as part of that menu. We also chose to have a small wedding cake separate from pick-up deserts for our guests. Eric and Amy had a suggestion for a cake style, which we loved and the bakers at Palate Pleasers executed flawlessly. Our guests raved about the food. We’ve had multiple inquiries from various guests about recreating some of the items from our menu (especially the kielbasa hors d'oeuvres and stuffed peppers). The servers were very friendly and helpful throughout our celebration. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience beginning to end. We have also had the opportunity to stop in the store front and pick-up some treats. I have yet to try something I didn’t want more of. If you are gluten free, I strongly encourage you try their brownies and pumpkin cookies (when in season). If you are on the market for a caterer, consider Palate Pleasers whether it’s for something elegant or casual, your guests will thank you.

Once again palate pleasers hit it out of the park. The food is amazing, the ideas are unique and the staff is top notch. The head caterer met us on her day off to make sure we got the leftovers. Amy is easy to work with. I highly recommend!!! We have used them for both our children’s bar and bat mitzvahs.

This is my favorite place in all of Annapolis. Don’t order DoorDash from a restaurant. Go here and get something that tastes delicious and is healthy.
Brad S — Google review
I cannot recommend Palate Pleasers' catering services enough. We used them to cater our small wedding and then not only provided some seriously delicious food, but they helped with setup/cleanup and kept the event running smoothly. They were so much more than just catering. Not to mention all of the staff and the owners are the best people and so nice. Amy helped us build a customized menu and setup a tasting for us too. We loved the food so much we ended up grabbing some of their Gourmet to Go a few days after the wedding. If you want food that people will rave about, or a great option for lunch or dinner, look no further!

The place also offers tasty cream cheese and brownies. With its friendly staff, easy parking, and cozy atmosphere adorned with NY memorabilia, it's a favorite bagel spot in Annapolis.
Excellent bagels and variety of cream cheeses and spreads. Very good pumpernickel bagels. GREAT for takeout, inside ambience okay but not memorable.

The bagels are decent but they're only baked very early, and after mid-morning and all day they're cold and become hard. A Fresh Bagel Bakery ought to be baking multiple times a day. There's nothing like fresh warm bagel ! Same mistake made at Naval.

I drive by this place a lot, and made the decision (with no regrets) to stop in for breakfast today. Everything on the menu sounded amazing, but I settled on a Southerner (bacon, egg, and cheese on a buttered [and toasted, if you want] bagel of your choice) on plain. Very yummy 🤤 As busy as it was (they had a steady line when I got there and after I left), it didn’t take very long at all to place my order and get my food. Though, if I’m being honest, I’d probably wait in line anyway for these bagels. Jew approved! ✅✡️

Dunkin' is a well-established chain known for its iconic breakfast offerings and an extensive selection of coffee beverages. Despite the potential for long lines, the efficient service ensures that customers are swiftly attended to. However, parking can be challenging due to traffic congestion around the area. Some suggest that opening a second drive-through could alleviate this issue and prevent cars from spilling into the intersection.
The Riva Rd location is hard to get out of. I went in the lobby and to get out you need to wait in a drive thru lane as the right lane used to be pass through now both lanes are drive thru. I went there because the lobby on West Street was closed and I wanted to use the rest room. I understand help may be hard to find but I do frequently go to another location when the lobby is closed. Incredibly rude staff, the one woman behind the counter that appears to be the manager is rude every morning when she's busy, she yelled across the store at a man because he did not pick up his order at the counter fast enough. Today I ordered a large coffee and got a medium, the other day they forgot to include the bagels I ordered in my bag. Not worth going someplace where they mess up your order and are rude.

Auntie Anne's is a beloved global chain known for its delicious soft pretzels, offering both sweet and savory options topped with an array of dips. During my recent visit to the Annapolis Mall, I had a remarkable experience thanks to Sedarus, an employee whose warm smile and friendly demeanor brightened my day when I was feeling down. Additionally, Melvin, who works nearby at Starbucks, also left a lasting impression with his respectful and caring attitude.
I went to the Annapolis mall with my friends when I was amazed my a man named Melvin. He treated us with care, grace and uttermost respect. Melvin is an amazing man, he works full time in front of the Starbucks. Please give this man a raise!! ❤️❤️❤️🥨🥨🥨

I had to take a moment to share my incredible experience at Auntie Anne’s in the Annapolis Mall — all thanks to an amazing employee named Sedarus. I was honestly having a rough day. You know the kind of day where everything just feels off? But then I walked up to Auntie Anne’s, and Sedarus completely turned things around. From the second I approached the counter, he greeted me with the kindest smile and a genuinely welcoming attitude. You could tell he truly enjoys what he does and cares about every customer that walks up. He didn’t just take my order — he made me feel seen. He talked to me with real warmth, asked how my day was going, and cracked a few light jokes that honestly lifted my mood in a way I really needed. Not only that, but the way he was handling the rush of customers was beyond impressive. He was moving fast, staying organized, multitasking like a pro — all while keeping that same positive energy. You could tell other customers were enjoying his vibe too. He never once seemed overwhelmed or frustrated. He made it look effortless, even though I know it wasn’t. My pretzel was hot, fresh, and absolutely perfect — but Sedarus was the real reason this visit stood out. In a world where good service is becoming rare, he went above and beyond. He made my day better with kindness, efficiency, and genuine care. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Sedarus is the kind of employee every business hopes to have. Thank you for reminding me how powerful a small act of kindness can be.

We ordered a pretzel. They didn't say they didn't have a pretzel, but rather just charged us for a large cup and put it in the bag. The large pretzel cups are more than $2 more than a regular pretzel. When I confronted them about charging and giving us something we didn't order, it was like talking to a wall. They were completely disrespectful and blew off the fact that they are stealing from people. I am so disappointed in the staff. If this is a company policy, I will not be purchasing anything from them again.

I thought it was just me, but you've got to catch it when the pretzels first come out or get the "heat lamp" pretzels which are warm and hard. The prices are outrageous

Took my kids to the annapolis mall location and they had 0 regular pretzels only the bites. It was almost like they didn't know how to roll a pretzel. How can you run a store that makes pretzels and not make pretzels... I worked this location 20ish years ago and this would have never flown. Im not sure what happened or if the franchise was sold to some one else but you can't just make a more expensive product and not offer your menu because it brings in less money. I know for a fact training is available and this store needs it

The pretzels are great. Would recommend anyone to try them. They are worth it.

Higher sales tactic. They no longer have lower priced pretzels ready. The warmer is filled with higher priced cups of various pretzel nuggets. The hope you can't wait for the pretzel to be made. Too expensive anyways since the pandemic.

Usually pretty good. However, yesterday I ordered a pretzel and was told to wait 7 minutes so I could get a fresh one. I waited 15 minutes and they gave me an old one. I asked for a drink with no ice. They gave me ice. I don't think Francisca spoke English.
