Irish pub
American restaurant
Bar
Galway Bay Irish Restaurant and Pub, established in 1998, has become a beloved tradition in Annapolis. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, it offers classic Gaelic dishes alongside American favorites. The pub prides itself on genuine Irish hospitality and has been consistently recognized for its excellence, winning awards such as Best Irish Pub and Best Bartender. The menu features iconic dishes like Fish and Chips, Corned Beef Reuben, and Shepherds Pie for an authentic taste of Ireland.
Extraordinary Irish fare. I came in with a party of twenty unannounced and the staff jumped into action. Getting us all drinks and appetizers in no time. I had the Pot Roast which was phenomenal, but the flight of appetizers before that left me just wanting to eat them and forget about the entrees. The interior is 100 percent Irish Pub and the whole experience has put Galway Bay on my must-go-to, every time I am in Annapolis. Also, the number of Irish Whiskeys offered is like no other. I was looking for Redbreast, which is hard to come across and they have about ten different kinds. My entire party raved about their meals and the service.

So glad we stumbled upon this local treasure. Great Irish pub with an authentic feeling to it. I am so glad I chose the crab cakes. They were hands down the best I've had! Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was fantastic. I definitely recommend eating here while you visit Annapolis!
Marie W — Google review
Always love dining here. Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is top notch. If you catch the times when live music is playing it is a wonderful relaxing place to hang out. I pop in here almost every time I am in Annapolis. Highly recommend giving them a try.
Glen M — Google review
Zehra took excellent care of us and was super fast with everything. She also had a great personality. 😊 The food was really good and I have been to Ireland so I would say they did a great job. I had the potato leek soup and shrimp platter. Shepherd’s pie mac n cheese and fish & chips were also amazing according to my friends. This place is definitely one I will return to when we come back for the sailboat show. The chocolate mousse for dessert was also very decadent and rich. I recommend it. 🤤
Amanda S — Google review
Stop in after a afternoon of site seeing and shopping, for a quick snack and some drinks! Loved the live music! Service was very quickly and prompt! Had a variety of beers, shots and the fried pickles, and these were so freaking good!!! Highly recommend!!!
Pink G — Google review
A little piece of Ireland right here! Having visited several pubs in Galway, I can honestly say this one captures the true Irish spirit perfectly. The ambiance is spot-on, warm, dimmed lighting, Irish background music, and that familiar cozy decoration that makes you feel instantly at home. The Guinness was excellent, just as smooth and rich as in Ireland, which is saying a lot! The food was a lovely surprise too, with even more variety on the menu than many places I tried in Galway. I had the cod, which was tender and perfectly cooked. The portion was a bit smaller than what I’ve had in Ireland, but the flavor was absolutely authentic that same delicious, crispy coating that makes fish and chips such a classic. Overall, it’s a truly great pub and a very worthwhile experience. For a moment, I really felt like I was back in Ireland! 🍀

Galway Bay is an Annapolis institution...a classic Irish pub serving delicious food like their exceptional Rueben and hand-battered fish and chips The creamy whiskey tomato soup is a treat. Reliably good for decades!

The food was amazing. I recommend getting the Ruben as it is extremely delicious. However, the umbrellas on the ceiling didn't cover the whole thing. Really recommend.

Came here with friends as we celebrated a friend's promotion. Perfect place. Drinks were great, service at the table was always quick and friendly, and the live band was a nice addition. Would definitely return here anytime I'm back in Annapolis.

Great service and atmosphere for drinking and meeting new people. Update August 25. I stand ten toes down and double down on my previous review! Unfortunately tonight I tried another spot down the street food was great but service wasn’t and I returned here. Everyone is welcome and I feel it!

This place checks all the boxes of a local, fun, dive bar. Lots of drinks, darts, patio, live music, great service and the game was on. Loved it.
Richard C — Google review
I love a good dive bar with a great local atmosphere. The food is awesome, and the libations are served in proper pint glasses. Nightly music is always free as it was back in the day...shout out to Sean D's old skool days!

My husband and I had such a great time last night! The live music was the reason we came, but we will definitely come back to see Erin and Patrick. They were fantastic!

Loved it here. A local business owner recommended it. Their Reuben with shredded brisket is phenomenal. My friend had the cream of crab, and that was also very nice.

Writing this a month later because I still to this day have not gotten a better Paloma than that one woman bartender with brown hair who explained to me how to order a Paloma the right way to get it the way she makes it. Best bartender and Paloma maker around.
Isabel M — Google review
Bar staff was very friendly. Made out-of-towners feel at home. Neat touches you need to pay attention to (Shamrock on top the Guinness foam). Beer was good. Old Fashioned was good. Enjoyed our first stop. Cream of crab soup was very smooth. Needed a little more Old Bay, which they gladly provided in a shaker.

Bar & grill
Acme Bar & Grill is a popular casual sports bar located on Main Street, known for its American eats such as burgers and wings. The bar offers a dog-friendly environment with a special doggy bar that provides treats for furry companions. It can get quite busy on weekends, so making reservations is recommended. With multiple televisions, including a large projection screen, patrons can catch all the game action while enjoying drinks and food.
This is an Annapolis staple serving good libations to drunks for decades. Not only do they have a great bar life, but they also offer really good food. Try the wings, legit! Service is spectacular, and the staff is super friendly. It's a locals' favorite.
John F — Google review
I had a few issues here today. 1. My burger was severly undercooked. And didn't come with what I asked for ( ketchup mayo) 2. Bartender did not greet or give menu. (Anothe guest came and they were attended promptly. 3. Bathroom hand dryer is ice cold. 4. Called to complain to management, and she hung up on me. I placed order at 115pm, received order at 135pm
Janet A — Google review
We came here because Chick and Ruth's deli was closed for maintenance. Husband had Bill Dogs, came out hot, tasty, and Greek salad, came out fresh, crisp, very good. I had the GOAT sandwich and tater tots. Tots were hot and crisp. Sandwich was hot and tasty. Not the best I've had but very decent. Service was fast and friendly. We came around 1:30pm so not very busy. Took awhile for the food to arrive considering their were very few patrons but the meal was good. Lots of TVs so probably a good sports bar. Mostly bar food on menu.
Pat A — Google review
A great place to meet friends for drinks and food. Went on a Saturday afternoon and the service was excellent. The bar was not busy when we arrived but started to get crowded before we left. Definitely a place I plan to visit more often.
Anthony S — Google review
Came in hungry. Started with a cold cheesesteak ended with a fiver and an F that place. Watched our food sit in the window like a forgotten orphan while the bartender played coy with a group of midshipmen...it must’ve been auditions for Bravo’s “Flirt First, Serve Never.” By the time our meals made it to the table, I needed a side of “reheat” more than tots. It’s cute that ACME runs a social club at the bar, but if I’m paying for hot food, I shouldn’t have to watch it age like bread on a windowsill. By the time I got my tab, I’d aged 3 years, learned a new language, and written this review in my head. Next time I’ll just Uber Eats from across the street and wave at my food through the damn glass. Tip accordingly.
Ben W — Google review
Awesome bar with really good drink specials and delicious food. Crab cake sandwich is excellent and their chicken strips beat most boneless "wings" you'd find at other restaurants.
Igor C — Google review
We’ve been coming to Acme Bar & Grill in Annapolis since 2017, usually on weekends. The wings are always on point, and that’s one of the main reasons we’ve kept coming back. But this past Saturday was a different story. The place was busy with only one bartender, so service was slow. That’s not the worst part though. While we were there, a white ignorant girl came up to me and asked if I was an au pair — just because I’m Asian. For those who don’t know, an au pair is someone who comes from another country to live with a family and provide childcare. Her assumption was racist and offensive. On top of that, the restroom was dirty, which added to the negative experience.
Kd — Google review
Had a great night out at ACME. Service was fantastic at the bar and the food was very good. We had Buffalo Garlic Wings, Pepperoni 🍕 and Rockfish Tenders. Everything was fresh and hot. Even got to play and WIN in some beer pong later that evening against some younger challengers 🤣🤣 on the stage area

Rams Head Tavern, located on 33 West Street, is a charming brick-walled establishment with a cozy atmosphere. It offers an extensive selection of draft and imported beers, making it a great spot for beer enthusiasts. In addition to its pub fare and regional seafood dishes, the tavern also features a wisteria-covered heated patio where patrons can enjoy their meals.
The food here was amazing! I got the Tavern Steak Sandwhich, and it was genuinely one of the best things I had ever eaten. Very laid back and calming atmosphere, and the staff was very sweat and considerate. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and the food all looked and tasted delicious. It's definitely worth the visit!
Kerry K — Google review
We came here to eat dinner before a show next door. We ordered the chicken sandwich and blackened fish tacos. The food was pretty standard and nothing stood out about them. We did get the s’mores dessert and that was great! The employees were very nice. It was a pretty good restaurant.
Jenn — Google review
I really wanted to like the food but it was a miss for me. The blackened salmon had no flavor! I would usually finish a whole plate of something like this. They got my partners order wrong twice and we were the only people in our section. The eggs were for sure the best thing. I’ll give them props for having gluten free buns. I may give it another try for burger night.
Mary W — Google review
This place has gone downhill. Crab dip has very little crab (tastes like a bowl of warm cream cheese), they have no beer glasses available, and the veggies are dried out / brown around the edges. There are to many great places nearby to eat here again
Chris ( — Google review
If you're not paying attention, you might miss it, but this is DEFINITELY worth a stop in. What a cool building and a really neat vibe. I'm so glad we stopped in! Great beverage selection, excellent service, and definitely try the crab puppies. Sooooo good! If you're in Annapolis, this is a must see!

We stopped in for lunch while staying at the Graduate. I had the Irish Shepherds Pie and It was delicious. The meals were served fairly quickly. The server was fast and very friendly.

Rams Head has always been a venue with outstanding music venue in the region. No where else are you going to see some of the biggest artists with such an intimate seating arrangement. Literally one of the coolest spots to see a show - I've seen John 5, comedy and That One Guy here plus several other shows in the early 2010's. Aside from one of the largest spots in town to grab a micro-brewed beer, this brewery has long lost its 'micro' brewery status as they're contracted brewed. Since Fordham and Dominion merger in 07 the former Dominion Milk Stout was long erased from their offerings. Guest taps appeared, and even macro lagers from big named breweries are now on tap. Though not brewed on site the beer is of the highest quality. Split originally between Dover, DE and off-sites, Today all their 'brewing' is done by Hugh Sisson and the team at Heavy Seas (one of Maryland's most celebrated breweries going back to Sisson's brewery of Baltimore in the 95). The basement bar is outstanding and reminds me of The Brewer's Art in Baltimore ( if that is still a thing). Service was lackluster and underwhelming. The caesar I had was average.
Burtalmore — Google review
We were seeing Thomas Dolby and the tavern had a special for a "premium" special, which is included free of charge with tickets if you make a reservation and we did. This includes parking at Gott's for 5 bucks. 10% off your bill and a free beer after the show. Well, they treated us like royalty! Kelly the waitress was new but acted like a pro, The manager (sorry didn't catch her name) came and checked on us, Great! The happy hour specials are super! The food was plentiful, hot and really good! If you are catching a show at Rams Head I highly recommend this place without a doubt!

Red Red Wine Bar + Bistro is a bohemian haunt in Annapolis that offers an eclectic selection of wines by the glass and bottle, paired with a diverse menu of small and large plates. Situated on Main Street, this bar provides a remarkable wine experience with over 35 wines by the glass and 120 bottles to choose from. The elevated gourmet small-plates menu complements the extensive wine selection perfectly.
Wow! What a great place. I contacted Red, Red Wine when planning a Galentine's Day Happy Hour gathering for our retired womens' group. Lisa replied by email and was very accommodating. When I arrived a bit early, they helped me to set up. Sara was the bartender/server this afternoon, and she did an amazing job of keeping eight different orders straight. Their happy hour drink and food specials are delicious and very reasonable. The daily wine specials were a great value for $5. The individual size crab dip was really yummy, as were the brussel sprouts. I have been planning happy hour events for a year for our group, and this place definitely gets my vote for best Happy Hour around Annapolis.
Elaine — Google review
I have been coming here for about a year now. I always enjoy the atmosphere and the service. If you happen to visit when Sara is tending, be sure to ask her about her latest signature drink, "Sara's Luxardo Mojito". It was my privilege to have been the first person to witness it's creation and to taste the magic of this refreshing Mojito. I highly recommend it. Also the "Gus" Pizza. Delicious. Shout out to Hunter and Sara. Thank you.
TekoLS — Google review
Went here for lunch and wine. Had a great bartender John. He is very personable and easy going. He made great food and wine suggestions. The pizzas are so good and then I completed my meal with a delicious creme brulee.
Angela M — Google review
Came here for the first time last night. It's a cute wine bar with a lively vibe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Had a live band and tvs near the bar area. The drink selection is large for wine of course but they do have cocktail and beer options. The staff was friendly and checked on us plenty. The food options are good too and there are some vegetarian/vegan options as well. The noise level is pretty high but I think that's to be expected in a lively bar environment. Street parking can be an issue but there are several parking garages a couple or few blocks away. Overall I'd say this is a great date night spot or one for friends to gather.
Courtnee O — Google review
Great location right in the middle of all the downtown Annapolis action with super friendly staff. Our dinner was delicious, but the chicken empanadas not so much. That was a bit of a let-down as they sounded amazing. Wine flights were fun, just wish there were more options for the flights... The kid's cheese pizza was good, so I am curious about their other pizzas... The 4 star...not that anything was wrong...just not as amazing as we were hoping...but it stayed busy...so maybe we just needed to get the right thing.
Jessica D — Google review
Stopped by after the no kings march for a quick bite to eat. While I forgot to take pictures of our food I wanted to say how great this place is. Fun and friendly atmosphere with great bar food. Located on a well populated street with stores and places to eat. A great location. I love sitting outside and the day was cool enough to do so.
Kate M — Google review
Went there recently on a first date and we sat at the bar. I had never been to Red Red Wine, and it was awesome. The drinks (especially the Maryland Sour ) and food were delicious. Michael (bartender) and Willa (server) were tremendous…extremely nice, engaging, attentive, and simply great to talk to throughout the night. In fact, we had planned to only have a drink there and then walk around. But, because the vibe and staff were so great, we stayed there for hours. The music they had playing was legit too! Looking forward to going back.

We booked out Red Red Wine Bar +Bistro for a rehearsal dinner in June and could not have made a better choice. Dealing with Lisa and Hunter has been a pleasure. The entire menu planning and set up went flawlessly and they were both so helpful in suggesting items and details to make the night memorable. It turned out to be pouring rain and we asked to come in a bit earlier. They were able to close the restaurant a few minutes before our scheduled time so that we could have the entire place and they did an amazing job with having the tables, bar, and appetizers ready for us, too! They really outdid themselves in accommodating our needs. The entrees were great and we were able to custom order key lime pie and their famous lemon vanilla cake which were both highly praised by our guests. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Annapolis, Castlebay Irish Pub is a charming spot that perfectly captures the essence of an authentic Dublin pub. Established in 1998 by Vincent Quinlan, a proud native of Ireland, this inviting establishment boasts rich mahogany furnishings and beautiful stained glass that create a warm atmosphere. Whether you're craving traditional Irish breakfast or classic dishes like corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, or lamb stew, Castlebay has you covered with its delightful menu.
Reiley was a phenomenal bartender. Can not stress this enough. Make sure you try the Key Lime Pie drink she created. 10/10 bar for anyone visiting Annapolis, MD.

DO NOT GO HERE! I just went here for lunch like an hour or so ago with my boyfriend. Service was good, but food was terrible. My boyfriend got the crab Mac and cheese and it did not look appetizing. They melted sliced cheese on it. Noodles were so orange but the sauce was white and the crab had no seasoning. I had beer battered chicken tenders and fries and the beer was so intense. Right after, my boyfriend did not feel too good. I was fine for a bit, then my stomach started not feeling well. I ended up throwing it all up. Pretty sure we got some sort of food poisoning. So please don’t go here.

Don’t go here if you sit on the patio and expect good service. We went on a Saturday afternoon. There were two occupied tables outside and two customers at the bar. It was not busy at all but we had to go in multiple times to ask for drink refills. And bartender acted irritated when we did. We didn’t eat.

Castle bay is an awesome little pub in Annapolis that has great food and atmosphere. They have karaoke on Thursday nights which is a huge crowd pleaser. I recommend the classic burger and the soup and salad menu is exceptional. You can definitely have fun here and I was impressed how fast I could get a refill on my beverage throughout the night. I recommend this pub as a good place to grab some food and have a great time.

Great food, poor beer selection for a place that has 'pub' in its name. I order bangers and mash which were good. Could have used more gravy and the addition of mushrooms. Beer wasnt ice cold, and the selection was less than I had expected. Overall, this place isn't something to write home over, but will do if you're looking for quality food in Annapolis on a busy weekend night.

Visited on a Tuesday evening around 6. The layout of the entrance is unusual, so I walked around the corner and went straight to the bar. Was greeted right away. Bartender was nice and quick. He also assisted with getting the app for a better deal. I ordered 12 bone in wings. Tried two sauces that were delicious. Asian Zing and Jammin jalapeno. Wings were served in about 10 minutes. Very fast. I would say they were average busy. Did also notice the bartender also had a few tables. Will go back when in the area. The App has great deals.

A good place to share with friends. It has plenty of TV screens to watch sports. The food is well prepared and plentiful. There's a wide variety of food and the service is very good. The music is great, it allows you to talk with friends because the volume is not very high.

Went to Buffalo Wild Wings yesterday for the first time. My husband and I were so disappointed. There was no hostess to seat you. We finally got a guy to just tell us to go sit over by the bar or high area. Sat there and nobody came. The table was also sticky. We sat there for 10 minutes and saw no waiters. Also, for a well known place it was pretty empty. Nobody at the bar and maybe 6 tables with people. My husband saw one guy who worked there on our way in, he was on his phone. I was expecting the prior reviews to be a little overkill on the service but it is not. I hope they do realize they are in the SERVICE INDUSTRY. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother until they change management. If they don’t care about service not sure I want them making my food.

Probably the last time we’ll visit this location. Took the family their for dinner tonight, service was fine, but we kept getting a strong cold breeze from the kitchen area (not sure if there a back door over there), but with the breeze, we kept getting a strong odor of marijuana with it. Not exactly family friendly!

My experiences with Buffalo Wild Wings in Annapolis, MD, particularly for delivery and takeout, have been consistently disappointing. The most frequent issue is the temperature of the wings upon arrival; they are almost always cold, which significantly detracts from the enjoyment. Additionally, there's a recurring problem with the sauce application – it often feels like there's never enough, leaving the wings dry and lacking flavor. Order accuracy is another major concern. On multiple occasions, I've ordered 20 wings only to receive 17-19, and a good portion of them are frequently burnt. Delivery times are also quite long, typically taking an hour or more. I've had to return orders three times due to persistent mistakes, which is incredibly frustrating. Despite these significant issues, I must commend the manager, whose name I can't recall, but who is consistently very sweet and genuinely tries her best to rectify problems. Her dedication is a notable positive amidst the operational inconsistencies. Overall, while the manager's efforts are appreciated, the frequent issues with food quality, order accuracy, and delivery make it difficult to recommend for delivery or takeout.

Title: Reasonable Prices and Discounts, Mediocre Food and Service ⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited this restaurant and tried their boneless wings, kids burger with fries, and pretzel bites. One thing I appreciated about this place is their reasonable prices, especially when you take advantage of their discounted items and various offers. I found their Thursday "buy one get one" wings deal and daily happy hour from 3-6pm quite attractive. However, I must admit that my overall experience was somewhat disappointing. The food seemed to be precooked and frozen, then reheated before serving. While my son enjoyed his burger, saying it was almost as good as a McDouble (his standard for greatness), I found it lacking compared to my own expectations. The boneless wings had decent sauces, but unfortunately, the quality of the wings themselves was subpar. The sauce only managed to mask their unappetizing flavor to some extent. Additionally, upon arriving, there was no one at the front to greet us. After a brief look into the kitchen, we were instructed to go to the bar instead. Although our waitress was polite, she was rarely seen during our visit, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Lastly, I was quite disappointed with the state of the bathroom. The floors were so sticky that my heydude shoes almost got pulled off. While the prices and discounts are enticing, the mediocre food quality and service, along with the cleanliness concerns, left me with mixed feelings about this restaurant.

If you’re a person that loves to be seated at a booth for 30 minutes with no service pay a visit to this location. I’m writing this after downing a dosage of peptol bismol after dining in yesterday. The food was horrid and not worth the money and stomach pain. Skip this location at any given moment.

Located in the historic maritime district of Eastport, Boatyard Bar & Grill is a vibrant nautical-themed spot offering a wide range of seafood, including crab and oysters, as well as burgers, pizza, and a full bar. The interior exudes the charm of a classic yacht with white walls, mahogany accents, sea foam green ceilings, and wooden beams. It boasts an extensive raw bar featuring oysters, clams, shrimp, and mussels.
We celebrated my birthday here, and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was beyond delicious, especially the artichoke dip, calamari, soups, and oysters. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, and the staff made the experience even more special with their friendly and attentive service. It truly felt like a celebration. Highly recommend for any occasion or just a great meal by the water. Can’t wait to come back!

We started with the crab dip, crab balls, and soup with half MD crab soup and half cream of crab. The crab dip was super good. The crab balls were really crispy with a nice amount of meat filling on the inside. The sauce with the crab balls was also pretty good. The soup was exactly what I wanted. It was a nice combo of bold flavors from the Md crab soup with the rich texture of cream of crab. For entrees, I got the boss burger which was basically a double bacon cheeseburger. My girlfriend got the crab dip sandwich. Our server Jenna was very nice and even made me my own spicy mayo for my fries. My burger was pretty good and my girlfriend liked her sandwich too. For dessert we got the butter cake and key lime pie. Both were absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend this place, particularly for a casual lunch.

First time trying Boatyard and the vibe walking in was vibrant with a lot of ocean themed decor. We got a table within 10 mins even though they were extremely busy… The waitress also took our order relatively quickly. We ordered salmon salad, w/ a side of BBQ wings, goat cheese and arugula salad & a hot dog and fries. Honestly, it wasn’t anything special, but it’s an edible American version of sea food (comparing to Caribbean styled sea food which I grew up enjoying). That being said, it filled a belly. Will we willingly return… maybe…

These may have been the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. I loved the mashed potatoes and street corn as sides too. They were a large portion of crab meat, like they say free of fillers. They tasted fresh, and they were creamy, nice texture. The sailor’s mussels were amazing, I’m not even a huge fan of mussels, but these were good. My husband was very pleased with them. Jenna was our server and she took care of us. She was attentive and pleasant! The prices were right too.

I really enjoyed the Boatyard. I was by myself so I sat at the bar and chatted to the bar tender a bit. He was outstanding. I had Antione’s Oysters Rock for an app. They were PERFECT! Gobbled them up and then ate my crab cake sandwich with a couple of Boatyard largers which were also very good! Oh, and the toffee cake dessert was incredible too! Definitely a great spot! Fun atmosphere, friendly and fast service, and awesome food! I LOVE MARYLAND CRABCAKES!! Why can’t anyone else make them like they do??

If you’re ever in Annapolis, the Boatyard Bar & Grill is the real deal. From the moment you walk in, the energy feels alive. the service is on point even when the place is packed. It’s not quiet, but that’s part of the experience. It’s loud, it’s lively, and it feels like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Perfect spot for great food, good people, and that true Eastport waterfront charm. Highly recommend.

On our first visit to Annapolis and we chose to check out the Boatyard for a casual dinner. The weather was very nice so we chose the available outdoor seating. We went inside to have a drink at the bar while we waited for a table. It was a Friday evening, so the place was pretty busy. It didn't take long and we were sitting down ordering. So the food was pretty good, the drinks were good, and the vibe was cool.

Everything was delicious. Flavorful and served up fresh and hot, just like I like it. As soon as the food was ready, it was brought right over to our table. Amazing service and presentation of the food. The ambiance was very pleasant and family oriented. Open space, with a nice bar and store to buy souvenirs and the state of Maryland merchandise. It was absolutely great. Parking lot right across the street for convenient parking. Outdoor seating, covered to protect you from the sun but also a great way to feel the summer breeze. Just awesome.

Middleton Tavern is a historic American seafood restaurant located on the waterfront in Annapolis. It features local and regional acoustic musicians nightly at its Oyster Bar lounge, and serves seafood dishes such as steaks and lobster along with some classic American fare. The tavern has been in operation for over 250 years, and is known for its lively atmosphere, relaxed service and scenic view of the Chesapeake Bay.
We had a great lunch at Middleton Tavern. We sat outside at this very historic tavern dating back to 1750. We had to try the raw oysters, which are local from the Chesapeake bay. They were excellent! Super fresh! My wife had the crab cake sandwich. She loves crab and said this was one of the best she has had. Fresh lump crab. I had the stacked roast beef sandwich which was also very good. Service was good, not rushed.

There was nothing special about today's lunch. My grilled cheese sandwich was overly greasy, on one side (the top side looked perfect). The "breading" on the fried green tomatoes had no taste, and they were placed on the plate, in a manner you would expect at a place with Grade D but edible food; four, lackluster sices, plopped on random lettuce slices [The lettuce made no sense as they looked like a few strands of scraps from a previous customer's plate]. The Tomatoe's taste was similar to a sweet mini pizza that a child might make for their afternoon snack covered in shredded cheese - definitely not worth the $15 (or $18) i spent. That made me really sad because every previous visit was amazing. The photo was withheld to save you the embarrassment, but my description should be sufficient! The server was on point. He was attentive and present. They oysters were presented nicely but approximately a 3 out of 5. The crabcake was great. Its taste was superior to the one we had at Bridges a few days ago. The fireplace was wonderful.

great location! right near the water, a great view of everything. service was great, all of the servers and hostesses were super polite and nice. we were seated very quickly, and were given menus while considering dining here. everything came out in a timely manner, fresh and hot! the menu has a good variety of options if you’re not sure what you want. the mussels are a really generous portion, and the sauce is fabulous! the wonton tuna was excellent- loved the wasabi dressing! great food, definitely will be making our way back!

I gave the rating I did due to the food honestly. I got the crab dip burger and my partner got the crab cake. I also ordered the cream of crab soup (soup of the day it was) anyway my partner liked his crab cake. However I found my burger to be really bland. Even with the dip. Nothing made it that great. Our server was awesome tho. We sat at the smaller side tables outside so that was cool. Just wish there was more flavor in my burger and dip.

Came here almost 20 years ago and the crab balls were just as remembered...DELICIOUS! Excellent location, incredible food, great service. Definitely get the crab balls and try the crab dip burger. Homemade Caesar dressing was spot on, too. Hope to be back sooner than 20 years next time!

I couldn’t even bring myself to order after visiting the restroom and coming across a 2” American roach! After seeing this little guy (bugs don’t typically bother me) I got looking around… the ceiling was covered with black dust and visible different colored molds. I found nothing wrong with service or staff. Very friendly! But the place itself could use pest control and a good deep clean.

Vin 909 Winecafe is a charming restaurant located in a converted bungalow in Annapolis' Eastport neighborhood. Since 2011, it has been serving delightful farm-to-table dishes and an impressive selection of wines. The menu offers a mix of American cuisine with hints of other cultures, featuring dishes like pan-fried rockfish with green chili curry broth and brick oven pizzas topped with spicy soppressata and wild boar meatballs.
The sauce from the steak went very well with the sandwiches. Eating the steak with the bread was also very decent. We also had a pizza which was good. The place is small but clean and cozy. We went for lunch and spent about 50+ bucks so that's a downside.

Let me just say this was THE SPOT, at 5pm sharp there was a line and people excited to sit down for wine and dine. I’ve never seen so many people at the door waiting for them to open. The staff was kind and efficient in getting everyone seated and served. Food was delicious, especially the pizza and desserts and the rose wine by the bottle was five stars. Parking onsite and out front on the street as well, but plan accordingly because it is popular and in demand. Indoor and outdoor seating and a fun bar wrap around as well. Great spot and experience.

We waited an hour and 15 minutes for a table here in a random Tuesday night… and it was so worth it. I’ve been told many times to visit this quaint restaurant and I can now see why. We had the most wonderful server, I didn’t catch her name but truly she made our experience so so wonderful. The food was all delicious. Everything was reasonably priced as well… our table of 4 ended up with a bill under $200 and we had everything we wanted. Also clearly red wine is the way to go here, as every table was drinking red wine including ours. Next time I’ll ask for my pizza to be slightly more cooked since i like a bit more crispy crust but I wait to come back.

I knew this place was going to be good but I wasn't prepared for just HOW good it would be. The ingredients and food were very thoughtfully crafted and were high quality. It was all so fresh and this is some of the best pizza we've had in a very long time. I wish we lived closer so we could come more often, but next time I'm in Annapolis I will definitely be back! Also, I really loved the gorgeous garden out front!

Great find in Annapolis,MD! @vin909wine Looking for a spot to stop to get a bite eat last night but didn't want to go downtown. @vin909wine is a small neighborhood restaurant that gives you that hometown fill. This restaurant/wine bar. The staff here is very friendly and attentive to you and your guests. The food is fantastic to the taste, flavors, smells, and presentations! Everything that we tried was great and came out surprisingly quick. We tried the hummus, cast iron skirt steak, and 909 potstikers. The taste of all of them were absolutely fantastic! The cast iron skirt steak is served in a sauce and a side of bread. You're gonna what extra bread to soak up the extra spicy Moroccan sauce. The potstikers were nice and tender citrus ponzu sauce. (A sweet like dumpling sauce) The only thing I would have to say is be ready to order multiple things off of the menu. Everything is made to share. We end up ordering the Miss Piggy flatbread. A great brick oven taste, the flatbread look like and tasted like it was homemade. @vin909wine is definitely a place to stop by to check out for yourself! We will definitely be back!

Vin909 is hands down our favorite restaurant and has quite literally ruined us for eating elsewhere 🤣. It is always the top of our list for where we want to eat. The food is incredible, and dining here is the best value too, since it is not expensive for how amazing the dining experience is. The service always delivers, with staff like Becky who are genuine, nice, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure your meal is perfect. We went to the French Laundry recently and had a great experience, but Vin909 is still our favorite! My favorite meal as a vegetarian is definitely the risotto (any of the variations!), but the current burrata and the previous wildflower gnocchi are also top notch.

Really outstanding food! Appetizer of mozzarella with pesto and a bit of eggplant hiding under it. We had the spotted hog pizza with various pork products on it. I'm not sure what exactly made it taste so good, but it did. Based on reviews, I made sure we had room for dessert and it did not disappoint. Mine was the bread pudding - which the reviews said we should get. It was a delicious comfort dessert. Some might find it too sweet. He had the fruit crumble. It was supposed to be apple, but it tasted more tart like rhubarb so we were glad he'd also got a scoop of ice cream.

Located in a historic building, Federal House Bar & Grille is a casual eatery offering a variety of New American tavern fare. The restaurant features shaded outdoor tables and is within walking distance from other historic sites. Established in 1830, it is known for its extensive seafood menu and raw bar, offering dishes like crab tart, crab dip, oysters, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. Guests can also customize their own burgers or try specialty options like the Insanity burger with spicy ingredients.
From plenty of spacious outdoor seating which is great when you have a toddler, to great service and great food: no complaints here about the crab dip, crab cake sandwiches or the crabby patty. Also had a great selection of beer.

A buddy of mine and I had some time to spare in downtown Annapolis, so we thought we’d get some seafood. The Federal House looked good, so we stopped in for lunch on a whim. We had the crab dip starter, followed by my lobster grilled cheese and my buddy’s “Pick 2” soup and sandwich. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. Both of our meals were really good, and our server was entertaining and very friendly. Having the outside patio to relax and chat made for a great atmosphere—nice weather and pretty good people-watching thanks to the boat show. All in all, an afternoon well spent.

Located in the heart of Annapolis, the Federal House Bar & Grill is an awesome vantage point to enjoy the local atmosphere. Hard charging Midshipmen all over the place…and a few old ones as well. A great selection of beers, cocktails, and wine. We cose to appetizers, the Tuna Mountain and the Calamari. Both dishes were outstanding. Wait staff were professional and welcoming. We’ll be back. Thanks!

Enjoyed a nice dinner outdoors, taking in historic downtown Annapolis and listening to live music. So happy the tables had a little fireplace because it got a bit chilly on this fall day. Would not recommend the cocktails, I ended up sending mine back and ordered a house cab instead. I do recommend the cowboy burger! It’s huge, so if you’re a light eater, split with someone. Fries were excellent! Our server Ann was very attentive and checked on us regularly.

Reynolds Tavern and 1747 Pub is a unique and elegant Georgian-style inn located in Annapolis, Maryland. The pub, situated downstairs in the original kitchen and Hat Shop of founder William Reynolds, exudes a cellar vibe with connected underground rooms featuring stone and brick walls, original stairs from 1737, short ceilings, brick flooring, and a fireplace. The tavern has been operating since 1747 under various names like The Beaver and Lacd Hat.
Came here with a few of my girlfriends on a Thursday night. It was decently busy but nothing too bad which we liked, and it really is just a cute hidden gem in Annapolis. It is secluded and quiet but so lively and enjoyable. The atmosphere really is good and they were having live music which was so nice. Food was good and service was good. 10/10 for atmosphere!

The atmosphere in the beer garden is spectacular! The music, especially B.en is terrific! The food is good. Then it goes south quickly. The management, if there truly is any, is a big zero. The staff doesn’t seem to last long and always overwhelmed. It’s a shame with such a great setting they can’t figure things out! We are frequent visitors over the years and wonder why we come back - but it’s the great setting and music outside. Just have the mind set that it’s going to be chaotic and you’ll see staff standing around trying to figure things out. Hopefully someone steps in and turns it around - I know there’s newer owners and somehow it’s gotten worse.

We chose this location because we had been to the pub downstairs during previous visits to Annapolis and the history intrigued us and the service at the pub was always great (Matt was wonderful). The room we stayed in, The Jefferson room, was facing the street so at night you heard all the street noise. The room was old, which we expected it to be themed as such, however, the rugs were so stained and walls look very dingy. While I understand the room is to look dated, looking dirty is another story. Then on top of it, the service was not quality. The wait staff/hostess were not on top of it. The beer garden staff was great...but the inside staff could have done better. I think overall for the money the customer service inside could have been better. Side note, MATT at the Beer Garden is super cool and very attentive to his customers. We loved him!

I had high hopes for this place being in annapolis but for tea they didn't have as many teas to choose from as I thought. And I couldn't understand my waitress at all who disappeared so we were just left sitting. The sandwiches r very plain . Soup was ok very peppery french onion. I prefer the kate pearl tea room. Its so much prettier and the food is made by an actual chef the sandwiches are so delicious and cute with a variety. And for Royal tea you get charcuterie board soup salad and specialty glittery drink along with scone delicious sandwiches and savories and ice cream at the end with a pearl. This tavern is probably better for beer and lunch. Also the people eating lunch are in the room for tea as well. Parking you have to walk down a hill to get to. The snacks for tea were meh. Ok visit but once was enough

The Reynolds tavern has Rustic Charm, But avoid It if you have kids. I recently visited Reynolds Cafe with my 7-year-old, hoping for a pleasant lunch. While the rustic, old-fashioned decor is truly warm and inviting, creating a lovely ambiance, our overall experience was severely hampered by service issues and a significant lack of family-friendliness. First, the "patronage" (customer vibe) felt quite unwelcoming, which was a surprising contrast to the decor. More importantly, they do not offer a kids' menu. I requested a grilled cheese and fries for my child, which, while off-menu and enjoyed by my son, cost an astounding $11. Add an $8 lemonade to that, and I paid $19 for a single kids' meal – definitely overpriced. The service was also quite poor from the moment we arrived. The host seemed actively to discourage us from staying, mentioning a 15-minute wait for indoor seating and an additional wait for the outdoor patio. We were about to leave when the owner (a kind woman) intervened and we were eventually seated in a lovely upper outdoor area with white tablecloths. However, our waitress was inattentive, offering only one drink refill throughout our meal. To top it off, I noticed a few ants crawling on our table. On the positive side, my salmon gyro was genuinely very good, and as mentioned, my child did enjoy his expensive grilled cheese. Honestly, if the service had been better and they had reasonable kids' menu options, this place could easily be a 4/5 or even a 5 if there were not any ants on my table. But for families, the current experience is not ideal. If you have children, I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant.

Every time we visit Annapolis, we make it a point to stop at Reynolds Tavern—and it never disappoints. Nestled right in the heart of historic downtown, this charming spot is truly one of the most memorable and unique dining experiences in the city. The moment you step onto the property, you're transported to another era. The historic setting, with its 18th-century architecture, candlelit tables, and period decor, makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It’s the kind of place where you slow down, appreciate your surroundings, and enjoy the experience as much as the food. Whether you’re seated in the cozy tavern rooms, the beautiful outdoor courtyard, or having afternoon tea upstairs, the ambiance is always perfect. There’s a warm, welcoming charm that wraps around you—from the creaking floors and antique chandeliers to the friendly, attentive staff who seem to genuinely enjoy sharing the history of the building. Now, onto the food—consistently excellent. Their afternoon tea service is outstanding, with fresh scones, delicate sandwiches, and a wide selection of flavorful teas served in elegant teapots. But even beyond tea, the main menu is full of delicious, thoughtfully prepared dishes. The crab cakes and pot pies are local favorites, and I’ve never had a meal here that was anything less than wonderful. We’ve come for both lunch and dinner, and each time the service has been professional and friendly without feeling rushed. The staff strikes that perfect balance of being attentive while letting you enjoy the experience at your own pace. Reynolds Tavern is not just a meal—it’s a step into Annapolis’ rich history, served with charm and grace. Whether you're a history buff, a food lover, or just someone who enjoys a peaceful and refined setting, this place will absolutely leave a lasting impression. Every time we return, we’re reminded why it has become one of our favorite stops in the city. It’s tradition now—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is just a dive bar. I was excited when I heard the description for the crab pretzel being fluffy bread with crab meat on top, but much to my disappointment, this is just soggy bread with cream cheese and too much salt. The three staff members I attempted to communicate with seemed too busy and disconnected overall a horrible waste of time and money. If you want a real crab experience, there is a much better bar for sailors that is just two blocks to the northwest.

Disappointing Experience – Never Even Got to Try the Food or Sit Down! I’m from out of town and was excited to try this place after seeing online that it was dog-friendly. I brought my dog and planned to sit outside, but when I arrived, things were confusing right from the start. There were no clear signs about where to check in or wait to be seated. I politely asked a young female waitress outside if I should go in or wait there, but she didn’t greet me or seem friendly at all. She didn’t offer any estimated wait time or direction — just an unwelcoming attitude that really set the tone. There was also nowhere to wait for a table, which made things even more awkward. What made it worse was that this happened on a WEEKDAY / Thursday around 12:15 PM, not even during a lunch rush or weekend crowd. It was calm, so there’s really no excuse for such poor customer service! I ended up leaving and going somewhere else, so I can’t comment on the food. After reading other low/one-star reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s had issues with rude or unhelpful staff. Hopefully the management addresses this and improves how guests are greeted — and maybe adds some clearer signage for check-in, especially for outdoor seating!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Davis’s Pub is a fantastic spot in Annapolis that you absolutely have to check out! The fish and chips here are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, golden batter on the outside and perfectly flaky fish on the inside. The portion size is generous, and the fries are just the right amount of salty and crispy. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a real local charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed evening, Davis’s Pub is the place to be for delicious food and a great time. Highly recommend the fish and chips!

The establishment boasts a trendy atmosphere and serves up cocktails like the Lavender Fields of Kentucky. Guests can enjoy their evening on the patio indulging in tacos, burgers, and specialty brews or partake in live music, karaoke, or trivia nights.
Highly recommend! Great service, coctails, and food. The atmosphere is perfectb. It's a little loud but appropriate. We loved the huge selection of prohibition era coctails and the bourbon specialties. Kelly served us. She was attentive and sweet. The food was fantastic. We had filet, ribs, scallops, and chicken & waffles. All were on point. The tots for the appetizer were perfect! Enjoy.

This place is great! I just don’t throw around 5 star reviews unless things are exceptionally great!😊 great cocktails, steak salad ( cooked to my temperature request) burgers and the hand cut truffle fries are great!!!! Go chat with the bartenders, learn about bourbon, try something new! I had a Rattlesnake rye, lemon juice, egg white and absinthe! Wonderful!

Didn't get food, but hear it's outstanding. Impressive bourbon selection. Robust drink menu with prohibition cocktails!

My type of bar, great bartenders making great cocktails. Excellent service and mixed drinks. Lots of fancy whiskey, higher prices ($15 per drink) but kinda consistent with Annapolis. Can get busy and slow at times. Great for bringing your buds, or your date out, or even stopping by solo dolo.

Came to Dry 85 for a boozy brunch. I was not disappointed by the drinks at all. They have great cocktails; I especially love the big list of classic old school drinks. The donut bites were interesting. They tasted like mini corn/wheat fried donut ball. They were slightly over cooked which made the outside a bit harder than I would have liked. The steak and eggs was a great pile of tasty protein and a good value for the price. The garlic butter on top set it off. It's flank so make sure it's medium rare or rare be cause it's easy to overcook. The wait staff knew everything about their menu. They were super friendly and quick to help. Will come back soon!

Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge is a relaxed dining spot offering a diverse American menu and a full bar, complete with a rooftop deck and live local music. The restaurant is popular for its cover bands, tribute groups, and open mic nights. Guests can enjoy worldly wines, craft cocktails like the Suits and Ladders, as well as small plates and customizable charcuterie boards. The menu features options such as burgers, flatbreads, seafood dishes, vegan burgers, soups, and more.
I had the delight of dining in on a Saturday afternoon for their brunch menu. I ordered the avocado toast. The whole wheat bread was perfectly toasted and the eggs were cooked to a beautiful over medium. The avocado, cherry tomatoes and basil were so fresh and the balsamic reduction brought the whole dish together. You get a choice of home fries, grits or fruit and I went with the home fries and they were so good. The potatoes were fork tender and had just the right amount of crispiness. Not overly seasoned and tasted amazing dipped into the yolk of the egg. The staff were an absolute delight and were happy to offer recommendations on dishes. Our bellies were happy and our glasses stayed full. Will definitely be dining there again.

As I sit here finishing my meal with a friend, we're both reflecting on how great everything has been during our visit to this restaurant, which we chose to celebrate her birthday. From the food to the service to the overall atmosphere, it has been an exceptional experience. Food & Drink: We sampled a variety of dishes, including the charcuterie board, Brussels sprouts, miso-glazed salmon, lamb lollipops, and a spinach salad. Every dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection – we genuinely had no complaints. The drinks were equally impressive, with each one being well-balanced and delicious. Service: Kim, our server, was outstanding. She was attentive, patient with our questions, and provided thoughtful recommendations that made our experience even better. Chris also stopped by to check on us several times, which added a nice touch of care to our meal. Atmosphere: The restaurant had a charming vibe, and the music was just right. It was loud enough to set the mood but quiet enough for us to carry on our conversation without any trouble. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back again to check out the rooftop!

Second time going here for brunch. I had the breakfast tacos last time and the hash with no ham this time around. Both good but I think the hash just has more flavor and seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were delicious!! Bottomless mimosas are really good as well. Would for sure recommend. Appreciate labeling gluten free options.

Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge is a reliable choice in downtown Annapolis with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. I loved the rockfish — it was fresh, flaky, and seasoned just right, easily the highlight of the meal. The pork belly, unfortunately, was overcooked and didn’t live up to expectations, which was a bit of a letdown. Even so, with dishes like the rockfish, it’s worth returning to see what else the kitchen does well. There's also rooftop dining which is pretty cool as well.

Wish I could give this a bazillion stars! We have always loved Metro but tonight they went above and beyond. I have been diagnosed with some health issues recently and eating out has been very stressful. Chris and Oscar were so super patient and informative to make sure my husband and I had a great meal that would fit into my new restrictions. I cannot say enough good things about how well they treated us. I was so worried about being a pain in the butt, but they were just so kind and accommodating. Left a decent tip but wanted to make sure Chris and Oscar got kudos on here too!!!!

As an Annapolitan, I can tell you this IS the best brunch. Great selection and the food is amazing. Also, the eggplant lasagna is one of my go to meals for comfort food. Just an overall great restaurant.

Nestled in the heart of Annapolis, McGarvey's has been a beloved tavern since 1975, offering an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. This no-frills establishment is renowned for its extensive selection of craft beers and a delightful raw bar featuring fresh oysters. The friendly staff creates a warm environment where locals feel like family, often remembering regulars by name.
My adult son wanted fried shrimp and fries.. the food was good. My dad enjoyed his salmon, the boys had a beer. I ordered sides which were great options for a plant based /vegan girlie. Emma our waitress was attentive and personable. We had outdoor seating, the weather and view were amazing.

McGarvey’s is the perfect spot to soak in the true spirit of Annapolis — lively, warm, and full of character. The oysters are impeccably fresh, and the seafood selection is awesome. Whether you’re sitting at the bar with a local brew or enjoying a meal by the harbor, the atmosphere feels welcoming and authentic. Service is friendly and efficient, even when it’s busy, and the staff make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The crab cakes are must-tries, and the raw bar is one of the best. A wonderful mix of great food, nautical charm, and local energy — McGarvey’s is an Annapolis favorite for a reason.

Such a cute restaurant! Their oysters were such good quality and so delicious. They also had amazing crab balls, crab-shrimp salad sandwiches, and crab Maryland soup. Definitely they place to go for seafood. The employees were so nice, and the vibe was so cute. The inside had nice mood lighting, and the outside tables were cute too, right by the water.

Easily one of the best meals I have ever paid for. The swordfish was cooked to perfection. The Chesapeake style was a nice touch with a creamy and smooth texture and delicious lumps of crab. The asparagus was crisp and fresh, and the potatoes were fantastic. Fast service and the water tastes good. I know it is a small thing to most, but water taste is very important to me and this water was good. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. Side note: my wife had the fish and chips and she made and audible exclamation when she bit into both the fries and the fish. With a wonderful golden brown finish and a nice crisp to a soft inside it was fantastic. 4.5 seems a little low to me hard to beat. Edit: The restaurant replied to thank me for my review. I assure you that I got the better part of this transaction, food and service were excellent. Will come back if I ever return to Annapolis.

I've been to McGarvey's twice this week. First time was just for drinks at the bar late evening and then last night for dinner. Both experiences were great. It was super loud inside last night so I was glad we had outdoor seating by a warming stand. The fried oysters were absolutely amazing as was the homemade key lime pie. I also enjoyed my shrimp and andouille sausage pot but it was a little spicy for me.

I’ve been coming to McGarvey’s every chance I get for the past 2+ years and I am literally never disappointed. Their menu options are insane and deciding on one thing is nearly impossible but whenever I do, I’m always please as each item I’ve had thus far, is a winner. Their food, restaurant vibe and overall sense of community makes me want to move to Annapolis solely to become a regular at their establishment. And whoever makes their tacos (especially shrimp) tacos deserves the highest of praise because they are hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had. See photos from my visits over the years.

We were looking for a seafood restaurant close to the waterfront and we stumbled upon this unassuming place. The lively and historical inside was much bigger than we thought. The crab cake appetizer was affordable and delicious and went well with their tartar and cocktail sauces. I got the shrimp diablo pasta, which was my personal favorite. I loved the creamy Cajun style sauce with its slight spice. There was a generous amount of shrimp, and the pasta soaked up the sauce nicely. The fish and chips were also yummy. They had a nice crispy exterior that was still light and delicious.

Made the Annapolis trip memorable! I am not the one who eat oysters but my friend made me and I must say I didn’t hate it, in fact, we ordered more! Service could be a lot faster but that’s expected if you came on a holiday weekend at lunch time.

Dock Street Bar and Grill in Annapolis is a local favorite for cocktails, seafood and classic grub. They serve Maryland-brewed beers including the Dock Street Pilsner, specially-made by Manor Hill Brewery. The atmosphere is easygoing with good vibes and great Ego Alley views.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD!!! I ordered the double crab cake dinner. It came with a fresh, vibrant green spinach and delicious mashed potatoes. The crab cakes were large and packed full of crab meat. These days a lot of crab cakes are filled with so much breading (not the case here at all)! My wife ordered the fish and chips… that was equally fabulous! The serving size of fish was enormous. The outer breading and the fish was so light and fluffy….Not a thick, heavy, greasy coating. This was made fresh and came out hot. Not greasy at all. I almost forgot, we had the crab dip appetizer also. The bread was perfectly toasted and the dip sported a layer of fresh crab meat throughout….soooo good! This is a cozy environment right on the bay. I wish I lived here so I could frequent this place all the time. Staff was super-friendly and attentive also. Forgot to mention, great portion sizes. I forgot to take photos until after we started to eat (especially fish & chips).

Unfortunately, the service at this restaurant was disappointing—our waitress was rude and dismissive throughout the meal. When a simple issue came up, instead of resolving it politely, she tried to blame us, which was frustrating and unprofessional. I believe good customer service is key, and sadly, that was not our experience here. One of the waitresses was Erin, and I don't know the name of the other one (shown being rude in the video). Instead of apologizing, she blows us off as you can see in the video. They may have an amazing crab cake, but the service sucks. They need training. I'd get fired if I acted like a child at my job.

Happy Hour arrival gave us a table outside on a cloudy Tuesday where the Ahi Tuna Salad and especially excellent crabcakes were handicap accessible and lemon-drop martinis went down easily! 10 out of 10 on the crabcakes

Small bar / seating area adjacent to the bar. Crab cake sandwich was good; not much filler, but large bun in comparison. The bread on the sandwich sort of overpowered the crab meat taste due to its thickness. Service at the bar was decent. Food was received in about 10 minutes. No special cocktail menu.

Review from 9/20/23 While not a very traditional sushi place, it still has great food and a nice ambience. Outdoor seating was great at the time and our waitress Ms. Becca was wonderful. Miso soup was pleasant and filling. The edamame was, well, edamame, but nonetheless a good opener. Avocado salad was a little dry and uninspiring, but the flavor was decent, especially in tandem with the pine nuts. The star of the appetizers, however, was definitely the yomato's tofu, which is always my friends and families' go-to. It's a little sweet, very crispy on the outside, with the savory taste of bonito flakes and soy wrapping the dish together; it's very filling and shareable as well, and definitely my biggest suggestion. We tried the Kamikaze, Metropolitan, and Miami rolls. Of them, the Kamikaze was just fine; however, we enjoyed the Miami rolls and the Metropolitan was our favorite.
Shyen T — Google review
I've been to Tsunami a few times now and this time I came with 2 friends (one who is a regular). When I got the check, I was surprised to see 20% gratuity automatically added on. My friend asked why this is when the policy on the menu states 20% is added for groups of 5 or more and we are only party of 3. The server replied for bills over $200 the tip is automatic. Has this happen to anyone else? I honestly have never experience this at any establishment before. I asked my other friends who frequent Tsunami and they say they have not experience this. I see another reviewer who also got a 15% tip added to their bill. There is no consistency nor transparency.

Good spot but they’ve kinda fell off a bit. Our favorite the crunchy roll is off the menu. Same with my wife’s favorite drink. Wine list is less interesting. They’re having a bit of an identity crisis, dropped the name to TSU instead of Tsunami. Idk, used to be a favorite for us were falling off it now.

We really enjoyed the food experience and will definitely be back to try more things. Very different feel than most sushi or Asian restaurants. Decor and music is very hip and more like a club. The bar was very lively and large. An older crowd might not be a fan but shouldn’t let that deter them from the amazing food. Unique cocktails. We got the Thai-ed up. You could taste the Thai tea but the vodka was very apparent. Crimson tea was ginger beer forward. The menu has a variety of Asian items, many with a unique twist. We tried a variety of things. Nightly special - coconut lime scallop ceviche with homemade wonton chips. The scallops were small so you could fit many in a chip at a time. The coconut flavor was mild and there was a slight kick of heat to balance it. The chips were very airy and crisp. Highly recommend it! Kamakazi roll - fish was fresh with a firm texture and mild flavor. The roll was wrapped tightly and the wasabi was potent Coconut curry seafood soup - we originally ordered the mussels, but the server recommended the soup instead since we like curry. Amazing recommendation. They make the coconut curry in house. It was like an Asian version of cioppino. The broth was slightly spicy and there was lot of seafood. The fish was in large pieces and very tender. Recommending getting a baguette for dipping or side of rice to pour it over. Shiitake mushrooms steamed bun: came as a set of 3. They are mini taco like; not a dumpling. The steamed bun was soft and fluffy. The mushrooms had a unique flavor and the veggies added a great crunch or offset the bun. Make sure to save room for dessert! We had the banana lumpia. Filipino style fried banana with homemade peanut butter ice cream. If you like peanut butter and bananas you should try this.
Gretchen K — Google review
The patio is dog friendly so it’s always nice to come here and sit outside for drinks and sushi, happy hour is from 4-6 pm on weekdays and they have a special on drafts and wine but not food unfortunately. However the prices are reasonable and the quality of the fish is very good and fresh. The fried rice is also delicious and a big portion. Throughout the summer they are doing live music on Wednesday and Saturday so the whole street is closed for outdoor seating and it’s lovely.
Stegramedia — Google review
Despite it being a very very busy evening, and not having reservations - the team was kind enough to find a table for my cousin and I. We were on a tight time crunch, so us not having to wait, as well as the super fast service was perfect. The food and drinks were good. The sashimi was fresh, and the presentation was tiptop. I would recommend coming here for dinner before an event at Rams Head - it’s super duper close to the venue and has great options.
Tania W — Google review
So let me start with what was good: 1. The service was GREAT. Our server was amazing and showed the perfect amount attentiveness. 2. I LOVED the ambience and vibe of the place. They leveraged every available area to plug in seating, some of which was uniquely placed. We had great seats at the window overlooking the street so that we could people watch while we ate. These 2 are the driver behind the 3 stars. Now for the not so good: 1. The food was mostly disappointing. The sushi was good, as were the pork belly. But the tuna lollipops were too salty and the pieces weren’t uniformly cut so some of the pieces were way too big in size. The slaw was the only thing that saved the duck legs, which were over cooked and didn’t have much flavor. And the ramen was bland with noodles that were a bit to undercooked. The broth also had no real depth to it. I’d been wanting to go to this place for awhile so I really was disappointed.

Sailor Oyster Bar is a cozy and stylish outfit that offers a variety of fresh oysters, raw bar fare, sandwiches, charcuterie, and cocktails. Located on West Street in Annapolis, Maryland, this locally-owned watering hole may be small but it overflows with character and tasty small plates paired thoughtfully with craft beers and wines.
We’ve visited Sailor Oyster Bar many times, and each experience leaves us excited to return. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday. There was no room for us downstairs so we sat upstairs; it was our first time there, and we enjoyed it, though I still prefer the vibe and atmosphere downstairs. The upstairs does offer its own bar and bathroom, which is convenient. We always order the special of the day, and the oysters were as delicious as ever. We tried a variety of dishes, and every bite was fantastic. The attentive staff, top-quality and creative food, great drinks, inviting atmosphere, and excellent happy hour prices are what keep us coming back. Keep up the amazing work, S.O.B.!

Five stars all around! I had such a lovely experience at Sailor Oyster Bar. The oysters were incredibly fresh—clean, briny, and beautifully presented. I followed that up with the smoked whitefish dip, which was creamy, smoky, and totally hit the spot. I also had some of the best dirty martinis I’ve had in a while—perfectly chilled and just the right amount of salty. I sat at the bar and was taken care of by Avery, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is chill, stylish, and relaxed—great for anyone who appreciates high-quality seafood in a laid-back setting. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Annapolis!

Worth the walk from downtown! It’s a neighborhood raw bar - less tourists & more locals. We came at 4:30 on a Saturday and they were already busy. Oysters and shrimp cocktail were great. Pickles were great (a little spicy) and olives were good too. Our cocktails were delicious. The service was top notch - so friendly all around. There are a few tables outside on the sidewalk.

WOW. I can’t believe I waited so long to try Sailor. All of the staff is so friendly and great. Everything we tried was phenomenal, from oysters to a ricotta appetizer. Brody and Rigby were are servers and offered great suggestions. Genuinely these were some of the best oysters I’ve had in a minute.

Heroes Pub is a firehouse-themed pub located in a renovated fire station, making it a beloved neighborhood sports bar. It offers over 40 beers on tap from Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region, along with classic pub grub with a Chesapeake twist. The casual seafood and satisfying bar food make it an ideal spot to hang out with friends. The establishment is known for its commitment to providing fresh, high-quality beverages including beers and wines.
Randomly picked this place off google maps and so glad we did. It’s a bar with good bar food the best was the old bay wings. Super crispy and juicy. Appetizer platters were good and so was the crab dip. We left full and happy

Very cool bar/restaurant. You have to know where you are going to find it. Lots of police and firemen memorabilia on the walls. There are a couple of dart boards and ~ 5 TVs. Clean with plenty of tables, however, we sat at the bar. Service was excellent with a very large beer selection. They do have a Happy Hour from 3 pm – 6 pm. I think it was $1 off drafts with a few starters on the HH menu. No problem with parking. Good vibes in the bar area. Bartender was friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the beer selections. The one negative is that there is no military discount. Enjoyable time … looking forward to my next time there.

This was a neatly decorated pub in honor of law enforcement and the fire department. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered the chicken sandwich and soup and salad. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The only way it had any flavor was with the cheese and bacon on it. The chili soup was good but could have been a little spicier. The salad was good. This was a decent restaurant but we would probably not return.

The sports/small pub vibe was great. Staff were very friendly. Wide selection of drinks. The nachos were awesome.

A good place to get cheap beer and it has a nice selection of craft beers but the food is disappointing. My wife got chicken strips which were good but you got such a tiny amount. I got a reuben sandwich with fries which was just okay. The waitress was quick and did a fantastic job.

Docked a star because of my experieexperience with the ATM machine other than that, the fish & chips were great and they even had non-alcoholic beer available because I still had a long drive and didn't want to be pulled over for intoxication. As a Black man I was the only one there but they didn't treat me any different very professional!

Took a group of 25+ firefighters here and the manager Chris was awesome. Set up the outside area for us which is nice for a group this size. The drinks were cold and the food came out fast. It’s good to see this level of customer service and we love HEROS!

With numerous TVs strategically placed throughout the venue, every seat offers a great view of the action—perfect for sports enthusiasts!
We are not from the area and we're traveling through. We ended up not being able to stop for dinner until 11:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. Good luck finding anywhere to eat at that time!! West End Grill was one of the few places that was open. I have a severe gluten allergy, and they had a separate gluten-free menu and separate gluten-free fryer. I got the burger with no bun and hand cut homemade French fries. It was awesome! My husband had the homemade jalapeno poppers and bought another order to go. They were amazing! For being a Sunday night at 11:00 p.m. the place is actually pretty packed, and the service was great! I'm so glad we were able to find the West End Grill and definitely will go there again on our way through the area. Highly recommend!

Such an awesome environment to hang out and eat some delicious food! Monica was amazing and super welcoming! The food was TOP TIER!!!!! I had the Honey Sriracha Jalepeno Chicken, which checked ALL the boxes. Chicken was super tender and well seasoned, and the honey sriracha sauce was perfection!! I even took my hubby a plate home, which he loved!! We will definitely be back!

The honey old Bay wings are to die for. We are tourists from the area looking for a great local hang out to meet people in a fun atmosphere and West End Grill checks all the boxes. It has great screens for sports and a nice selection of beers and liquors. You will have fun if you come here and you will not feel like you've been ripped off by high prices. We had 6 mixed drinks between us and 10 wings and our bill was under $68. That's pretty good in the current economy. Give it a try.

Brewery
Nestled in the charming Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, Forward Brewing stands out as the city's first nano-brewery and a beloved local eatery. This inviting spot embodies the spirit of community, offering a delightful selection of small-batch craft beers that change frequently, alongside a menu featuring tasty options like soups, salads, sandwiches, and tacos. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, it’s an ideal place to unwind on a sunny afternoon or enjoy a casual meal with friends.
My husband and I live right outside of Eastport and have been coming to Forward regularly for many years. Our son was born last February, and when it came to brainstorming ideas for his first birthday (and our first year surviving parenthood), we could think of no better place to host. Naomi was amazing to work with — very responsive to emails, helpful with suggestions, and made our vision come to life. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest was taken care of so we could also enjoy ourselves & celebrate our son. The drinks were amazing (per usual) and the kitchen staff delivered excellent appetizers that everyone devoured. We could not have been happier with our experience having Forward host our event, and will definitely use them to celebrate future milestones in our life as a family.

Pimento crab dip was really salty. Banh mi tacos were decent and al pastor tacos were better. The desserts were good. I’m giving this place a 2 Star because the lady working inside the building was extremely rude she was yelling at us to order outside if we were sitting outside yesterday around 5 pm (4/18/25). She could’ve said it nicer but very unprofessional. All the ladies outside were nice.

Superb. Great beer - food - staff. Haven’t been in a few years. 13 of their beers on tap. Loved their new “favoritism”. Nice. Nice food selection at varying price points. Inside and outside seating. Sun covers. Water for dogs. Two nice indoor bathrooms. Parking can be tight in neighborhood.

Probably my favorite brewery - vibe, food and most importantly the beer. The open patio offers fire pits, nice ample room to have friends, pets and the whole family out to enjoy. A wide rotating selection of house brewed beer with great pricing per pint. The whole experience is a uniquely fun to visit and is just a 10 minute walk from the Annapolis Harbor. Parking in the area is on street and plentiful. I might have had at least 25 Oktoberfest and now I am onto their new seasonal offerings. The ownership and staff have been very friendly and are often on-site to connect and learn from. Great local business that I couldn't recommend more!

First came here in 2020 after kayaking with my wife and looking for a place to have lunch. With COVID still on the mind of most people Forward still welcomed us in the outdoor seating section. I remember their fight to keep that outdoor seating and supporting them through it. As the years continued we appreciated Forward's can club, support of the bay, and support of the library system. The run club also supported the community and it's fitness goals. Moving away from the Annapolis area and such a great place that is Forward Brewing was tough and something I have yet to find again. Do yourself a favor if you are in downtown Annapolis and looking for a nice little place for lunch or dinner and hit up Forward. They are much more than just beer and deserve your patronage.

Severn Inn is an upscale seafood restaurant situated on the eastern side of the city, offering stunning views of the Severn River and the Naval Academy. The restaurant provides a perfect blend of upscale cuisine and a casual atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a laid-back yet exceptional dining experience. Guests can enjoy locally inspired dishes paired with exquisite drinks while taking in breathtaking sunset views over the water.
A lovey spot, right on the Severn River in Annapolis. I ordered the crab cake entree (there's an option to order two as well as a sandwich option). We had a big group, and everyone was happy with their orders. The wait staff was very attentive, accommodating, and warm! This is the first restaurant I've been to in a looong time that didn't make me feel we were on the clock, and they were in a rush to turn our table. I'll be back with family to try all the other yummy appetizers and entrees I saw others order!
Joy S — Google review
View and atmosphere excellent. Service was great. He is my one gripe. Their crab cake is touted as a “Maryland True” crab cake, it is nothing close to it! The Baltimore and Annapolis area have a reputation world wide for our crabs and crab cakes. Too many restaurants ruin that reputation by serving sub standard crab cakes. This is a pet peeve of mine. Our crab cake was small and shape like a cupcake and very stringy with no crab lumps and very little taste. For the chef sir, I have included what a real Maryland crab cake looks like.
Paul A — Google review
A wonderful spot for a date night or elevated causal dinner. I would recommend having a reservation if you plan on dining in the evening however they had no issues seating others who did not have a reservation. Everything we ordered was wonderful. I would particularly recommend the crab deviled eggs as a starter and the lobster pasta as a main. Servers were kind and attentive. Food came to table quickly. We will definitely be back!

The Severn Inn – Where Waterfront Views & Coastal Class Collide 🌊🍸🌮 If you're looking for that perfect mix of Annapolis charm, upscale vibes, and unbeatable waterfront views — The Severn Inn checks every box. Perched along the Severn River, this spot offers postcard-worthy views of the Naval Academy and the bridge, best enjoyed with a cocktail in hand and something delicious on your plate. The atmosphere? Polished, preppy, and relaxed — think boat shoes and sundresses, not stuffy. The shrimp tacos are a total standout, and the full bar has you covered whether you're in the mood for a crisp glass of wine or something a little stronger to go with those sunset views. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or hosting a special party or reception — because let’s be honest, everything feels fancier by the water. Pro tip: Grab a table outside if the weather’s nice — the views alone are worth the reservation.

The absolute best in the Annapolis area. A perfect view of the water as well as the Naval Academy. What ever you select for your meal is tasty and fresh. My crab cake sandwich was pure crab. Drinks are chilled even if you are just ordering ice tea. They have no problem making you fresh decaf coffee. I can't recommend this beautiful inn enough. Try it because you will LOVE IT ❤️

My wife and I loved this location. She had the filet mignon and I had the crab cake sandwich. It was incredible and the location is beautiful. Additionally, our server Thomas was great! The staff was overall helpful but the service from our waiter made it such an enjoyable time. We will be returning soon.

My mom & I went to enjoy the weather. We sat outside on the patio, plenty of seating right on the water. Easily one of my favorite views of Annapolis. The food was pretty good. Crab dip & Brussels sprouts I'd certainly reccomend. Our server was bland at best. As a server & patron myself-- I think walking up to a table with no smile saying "well are you two drinking something. Do you need food yet" is ill-mannered & at his age should have better manners in general. (Especially in the hospitality industry) Don't expect impeccable service, but the environment might help make up for that.
Chelsea A — Google review
This won't be a long review because this is one of my go to places for dining. It's just beautiful. Located on the Severn River across from the Naval Academy the location is spectacular! Their outdoor deck area is a soul soothing place to sit and eat; the waves coming in and out, beautiful view and no obnoxious music (at least that I remember). The restaurant interior is beautiful too with a great deal of atmosphere. The service has always been amazing. And now the food, wow! As a family none of us have had anything that we haven't throughly enjoyed. In these days of cost, service, and quality cutting the Severn Inn really shines with location, service and menu!

While it's known as a brewery, the food offerings are equally impressive. The restaurant offers various seating options including outdoor, booth, high chair table, and bar chair. Visitors can expect flavorful entrees cooked to order and generous dessert portions.
Best schnitzel in town! I love the atmosphere and it's definitely a great place to catch up with friends. There's a high top bar side and a dine in area, but in either spot, the food is what really stands out. The sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes are also delicious!!

Gordon Biersch is a safe choice in a world of inconsistent dining experienced. Trust that, here your beer will always be served to you cold and in a glass..... Trust that your entree will be flavorful and cooked to order... Trust that your dessert will be able to serve 2 and will worth the extra 2000 calories.... This location officers a variety of seating options from outdoor, booth, high chair table, and bar chair. You will feel welcome, satisfied, and safe,.....and if you are lucky....maybe your waiter will take a step beyond and make you feel like a valued community member and not just a patron...

Gordon Biersch Brewery is a good place to eat. It's a brewery so, in theory, I should comment on the beer. But I don't enjoy the taste of beer. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and caramelized onions with a side order of jalapeño slaw. I enjoy caramelized onions, and I was anticipating a delicious meal. The burger itself was excellent, but the chef gave very few caramelized onions. I was disappointed, and I deleted one star because of that. The jalapeño slaw was excellent. If you're in the neighborhood of Annapolis Towne Centre and it's mealtime, the Gordon Biersch Brewery is a good place to eat.

Beer was good. Brussel sprouts were decent. The two Caesar salads we ordered were absolute garbage. Hers, 16.48 salmon Caesar, didn’t even fill up the to-go dish. Mine, 14.48 chicken Caesar salad, was the same. I would not recommend this place for take out. If you are charging that much for a simple order at least fill the to-go container. My wife and I will likely not go back ever again.

Chicken schnitzel here is always a good choice. The shrimp and mango tacos are also quite tasty with an added spice kick. The beer can honestly be hit or miss. Didn’t think the Maibock was worth the hype but the Trippel Belgian was great.

Great food. We enjoyed our meal. The fries was an appetizer but it filled the two of us up before our actual meals. We got the small size so be cautious of what they say is for 2 people.

The garlic French fries are always delicious. The restrooms are generally pretty clean and I appreciate the waste receptacle next to the restroom door as one departs the restroom. We are big IPA fans and very happy to see that GB includes IPAs now. Having said that, we were very disappointed by the Wicked Cool IPA. It just didn't have a fresh taste. However, the Full Flex IPA was delicious. I also quite enjoyed the Belgian Style Sour with its notes of bananas. The waitress was efficient and cheerfully replaced the first IPA. My only "complaint" would be that the bar tables rock because the feet are not level.

The Annapolis Smokehouse and Tavern offers delicious BBQ and brunch options in a modern strip mall storefront. The dog-friendly patio is a huge bonus. The smoked wings are great on their own, but they also have six excellent sauces to choose from. The mac 'n' cheese was amazing, and the cider was light and dry - perfect for summer days.
Wow, what a great find. The BBQ brisket was delicious. Also had the Honey Old Bay wings. These were cooked and sauced perfectly! Bonus, they are dog friendly. We ate outside, and our fury kids were treated very nicely with their own bowl of water and some chicken. They also give 5 sauces from sweet to heat. As a dipper, this was great!

When we were there the mayland game was on and the atmosphere was exciting.even though Maryland lost by one point to Michigan. Lets get back to the food. We started and ended with appetizers, the not so average nachos, the smokehouse wings and fried green tomato's. All selections were good and satisfying. No entree needed on this trip,we will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu. The service was on point like I always say it's about the experience.I you want to get outside of the beltway to experience something new I recommendAnnapolis smokehouse and tavern.

The owner welcomed us immediately and was super awesome to chat with! She has a lot to be proud of. Very clean, polished, and comfortable atmosphere (love the '80s music that was bumping tonight). Food was AMAZING - Amy, our server, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was so sweet. She brought us out their sauces to sample (all fantastic, try the hot sauce). I did make the mistake of filling up on appetizers, but there were too many good options to ignore. The fried pickles were the best I've had and the smash house burger was perfect. My partner enjoyed everything he ordered as well, and the portions were large enough that we can enjoy them again later. Will absolutely stop in next time we are in the area.

My wife and I made last minute plans with Jen at the Smokehouse for our wedding party of about 40, and she walked us through every food choice and scenario. It was like having a wedding planner! The food, setup, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing and we loved it! Although my wife is vegetarian, Jen offered plenty of options for her and one other vegetarian guest that were perfect. I can't say enough about how great the food is (brisket being my all time favorite) and the service from Jen and the serving team! Thank you Jen and team for all that you did to make this a great day for us that we will never forget!

Very casual tavern that serves bbq. I made a reservation here, but I don't think I needed it because I showed up and it was empty haha. I ordered 2 appetizers: smoked wings and the beer batter covered onion rings! We only got a half order of the onion rings per the suggestion of our waiter, which I'm glad we took because the few pieces we got were huge and filling! We had the smoked wings tossed in the fire sauce, but it didn't actually taste spicy to us. For the entree I ordered the Texas brisket (sides: mashed potatoes and collard greens), which came with all sauces in to-go containers. The brisket was a little dry to me, but the sauces definitely helped! My husband ordered a burger that came with house chips, which he said was the perfect thickness and very crispy! Even though the brisket was a bit dry, I would still recommend it because it thought it still had a delicious smokey flavor. I think next time I would probably hold off on the appetizers because by the time our entrees came, I only took a few bites and had to take it home, same for my husband!

Nestled in the heart of Annapolis, Fox's Den is a charming and laid-back rustic-chic locale that prides itself on serving locally-sourced small plates, gourmet wood-fired pizzas, and an array of craft beers. The cozy space exudes a relaxed atmosphere where patrons can savor American-made products and flavors they grew up with.
Fox’s den is a favorite of ours. A few highlights you should try: -Their take on a whiskey sour, called the “For Fox’s sake” is well priced for a cocktail in Annapolis and a great drink, if you like bourbon. -I had the burrata for the first time, which was excellent. It was served with candied pecans and a sweet sauce, which was excellent. -Their deviled eggs are excellent; the eggs are beet-pickled and they are served with a slice of crispy cheese and a small piece of smoked salmon. Probably the best deviled eggs I’ve ever had. -The pizza, of course. Haven’t had a bad one yet, but the Fig and Pig is my favorite.

We recently hosted a private event at Fox’s Den, and it was absolutely perfect! The food was incredible — their pizza, fries, and salads were all outstanding, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was top-notch; the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests were well taken care of. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and exactly what we wanted for our celebration. This is hands down our favorite spot in Annapolis, and we can’t recommend it highly enough for both a night out and special occasions!

Brick oven pizza was on point! Also, the rockfish and duck butter fries were good, though a little too salty for my tastes. It's a small but loud space, so it's not the place to go for an intimate dinner...But it's great for a casual gathering. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive.

This place is great. Incredible drinks, they pride themselves in using American made spirits. The duck fat fries are the best, I will be coming back for them. We had an awesome bartender, he was so nice and friendly.

Fox’s Den is arguably the best restaurant on Main Street. In an almost speakeasy type environment a hard working staff is ready to take care of you with whatever you’re craving. They offer an expansive drink menu with a creative appetizer and entree menu focused on pizza. Everything tastes great and you will be sure to come back. Be sure to get there early as it is popular. Don’t be afraid to ask for sauce on the side if you like saucy pizza as their pizzas are thinner.

Restaurant
Armadillos Restaurant, also known as Dillos, may sound like a Tex-Mex spot but it actually offers classic American cuisine and serves as a lively sports bar. Located in an older building in Downtown Annapolis, the restaurant exudes charm and character. While it's more of a bar than a traditional restaurant, the menu features delectable options such as crab cakes, burgers, and wings. The establishment boasts multiple TVs strategically placed for sports enthusiasts to catch all the action.
Stopped by Armadillos Restaurant in Annapolis. So glad I did! I wanted appetizers after work but the kitchen was closed, that didn’t stop me from enjoying the atmosphere (so clean & the the air conditioning was right on point for the 90 plus degree weather), the outside seating and the views! I’m looking forward to going back when the kitchen is open!

This place is a great alternative to the overly popular locations nearby. As a lot of restaurants and bars they are experiencing service needs. Our server was very good and friendly but she was all alone or only had one other person helping. The egg rolls are exceptional and I can't turn down curly fries. They have a good selection of beer.

The bar staff was nice and priced well but yesterday I was assaulted by the staff for “spitting on the ground”….. I was not and they spilled drinks on me. This was actually assault from the security guard and I hope they understand that “please leave” is a real thing.

Nightlife staff very hit or miss. Been going here since 2016. I Have met great bartenders and have met weird ones. Yesterday my bartender was cool but I noticed my manners were off putting for her for some reason, still I told her I wanted to get drunk and she delivered lol so that’s good I guess . But everytime they hire new security them dudes do to much and be stern like they about to be deployed to fight a hothi or something. The one gaurd who been there for forever tho (built black dude with the low cut ) that’s the man. Wish I would’ve seen him there I’d leave a better rating

Guests can enjoy live music, comedy shows, and refreshing cocktails such as the Rum Refresher and Grapefruit Sparkler. Always love Rams Head! And Davy Knowles was great again, as was the Chesapeake Sons band.

Decent place with outdoor tables. Indoor seating. Booths as well as a bar. Beatrice was our server. Polite and friendly! Tried the Jalapeño Wings. They were good and not as hot tasting as they sound. My buddy had the Chicken soup, which he enjoyed! We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery!

Always one of my favorite venues. It's small and intimate and manages to bring in top quality talent that consistent delivers. On this visit Mindi Abair performed and her jazz sax took the place by storm once again. Can't say enough good things about it including the fantastic service. If I had to give one recommendation it would be to expand and upgrade the drink and food options as they are a bit limited.
Tim S — Google review
Just about any seat is a good seat at the Ramshead! The food in the Venue is "bar food" and tolerable but not preferred unless you're drunk! The drinks were very weak so order whatever comes in a bottle to make it worth your while. The bathrooms were inoperable so 200+ ppl had to use the bar bathrooms, literally next to the bar, which for ladies had 2 stalls, men had one. In any other City the venue may have been shut down because of it, but not in Annapolis!! Overall, a great venue for a small city crowd! We watched comedy with Michael Yo - He was great!!👍

Intimate yet spacious setting. Love the fireball coffee drink, it was warm/hot and well balanced. There are some skinny columns in the line of sight to stage; overall I prefer the atmosphere here 10x more than dc improv.

Very good venue. We had good seats about 2 tables from stage. Very attentive workers. Sound system was very good.

Went to see Cowboy Junkies a few years back at this Historic Inn at Annapolis, Maryland. Had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the concert experience. I had never seen this now obscure band and was happy to fly there to attend. The sound was awesome. This is an intimate experience with seating at tables with service from wait staff. Loved going to Rams Head it was a delightful experience.

I think it’s the best venue to see live performances. It’s an intimate setting. Great sound. Easy to get to. No parking directly at the venue but plenty of paid, affordable parking around.

Found this fun breakfast spot on Trip Advisor; visiting from WV on 10/06/24. Three of us ordered breakfast burritos with bacon and chorizo. Delicious food and we ate outdoors, plenty of tables and enjoyed live music while taking in the view of the water and a small marina. Just perfect on a Sunday morning!

Needed a place for a breakfast meeting with co-worker. We met at Kitchen on West street in downtown Annapolis. We had yogurt parfait and crab cake eggs benedict. Both were very good- the crab cake was delicious - mostly lump crab not a lot of filler. Great way to start the day! Our server was Jada - delightful. Quick service - we'll be back.

The handmade cocktails and the entrees were phenomenal. I loved the crab cakes and the brussel sprouts! The bartender was an excellent hostess, waitress, etc. Her name was Shannon and she was possibly one of the top five best restaurant servers that I have had. The hotel floor manager Patrick was also very helpful when we told them we wanted to hit the best restaurants and historical spots while in town. Great service and great food! You won’t be disappointed!

I started my tour du Annapolis at this little bar attached to a hotel. I was the first one in and ready for a happy hour drink! I ordered the smoked maple old fashioned per someone else’s review recommendation. I thought it was awesome! The smokiness is more on the nose not so much on the palate which works with my taste very well. Really loved how the sweetness of the maple balanced the bourbon. Really enjoyed how knowledgeable the bartender was as well, she gave me a long and very amazing list of places to hit in Annapolis, I’m very grateful to her for that because my evening was filled with amazing food and drinks because of her!
Katherine S — Google review
The atmosphere and service was great. We didn't know before arrival that it's actually located in the hotel. It was a nice low key vibe. The service was wonderful but the food could have definitely been better.
Meek — Google review
First off, nobody knew about my reservation or about Open Table. That was alarming in itself. How does nobody at the restaurant know that they have a reservation system? Luckily there was space available at the bar area for my brunch meal. The table seating areas looked great and I would preferred them as opposed to the bar, but about 50% of the tables were messy and hadn’t been cleaned up yet. I ordered my omelette and requested that it be made with egg whites and the spinach left out (I’m allergic to the latter). It took about 20-30 minutes to get my food, and that was only after the chef literally came out of the kitchen to let the waitress know that my food was ready. Not to my surprise, the omelette did not have any of my requests and wasn’t made to order. Waitress ended up refunding the meal which I was appreciative of. I didn’t have time to wait for another omelette. The entire time, a manager of some sort was sitting at the end of the bar talking to employees, asking them questions, and telling them how this place was going to change. Hopefully that ends up being true. Otherwise, avoid this place at all costs in the meantime. Unfortunately I can’t speak on behalf of the cocktails or drinks as I had no desire to go back.

Miller's Ale House is a casual sports-pub chain that offers a wide range of food and drink options. From bar snacks to steaks, they have something for everyone. Their legendary chicken "zingers" are a fan favorite, and they also serve hearty burgers, pasta, steaks, and sweet treats. The dining experience is enhanced by the impeccable service provided by their staff. Customers have praised the friendly and attentive nature of the bartenders and servers.
Five stars today because my dining experience was outstanding. Sat at the indoor bar and the bartender Karen was awesome. Drinks delivered almost instantaneously and food order was taken immediately, after the decision was made for what what was desired. The food was awsome and prepared to perfection, I was smiling with the first bite. The atmosphere is wonderful and definetly sports bar themed and it works! The food was great, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere makes you want to return and have a exceptional experience. Kudos to Miller's and their staff....well done!

If you are looking for a sports bar this place is loaded with TVs 2 huge bars. Visited during the week for lunch and the music was Poppin. Our server Turner was amazing, professional attentive and accommodating. We ordered wings 3: flavors chicken nachos were good however Queso was thick and the chicken was a little dry. My friend wanted her wings cooked a little more and that was not a problem. My Thai Chili wings were good and they are big wings. Pear Martini was excellent. Side salads were fresh. Definitely up for a revisit overall good experience definitely want to try their burgers.

Delicious food and drinks. Stopped here for lunch after a brief visit to the area. Service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. My husband had a beer and I had the prickly pear margarita, which was amazing. For our meals, my husband had the Buffalo shrimp and I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich blackened. Everything about this experience was fantastic. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

This restaurant has two bars. One bar is quasi outside, the large windows can open and provide a nice atmosphere, but can be loud due to the road noise. The bartender, Joel, was excellent, very attentive, each time I visited. The macaroni and cheese with buffalo chicken bites, chicken quesadilla, and prime rib (select nights) are all good choices.

I'm not normally a fan of chain restaurants, I actually despise them. My wife and I came here while the kids were finishing up a movie. When I first walked in, I got the vibes of a sports themed Applebee's, and expectations were low. We pulled up to the bar and was pleasantly greeted by the bartender who gave us a list of specials....the UFC was on.....things seemed to be going in the right path. After a couple of drinks and watching food come out of the kitchen, we decided to order some appetizers which didn't disappoint. Overall, we were bad parents, stayed too long, drank too much, and had a surprisingly pleasant time. The kicker came when we got the bill.....amazingly reasonable! Will definitely be back. And thankfully, at least one of my kids has their license.

We were pleasantly surprised. Food selection was good while service was decent. The Mimi's Fiesta Bowl was delicious and was a good serving size for 550 calories. Hubs was pleased with his Sirloin and Shrimp--he enjoyed the sirloin but wished the serving was a little bigger. We finished our meal with their ice cream cake, Captain Jack's Buried Treasure. It's as delicious as it looks!

Well, today was a bit of a letdown. I've been to Miller's Ale House plenty of times and always had great experiences, but not this time. Our server, Sam, was honestly pretty awful. The place wasn't busy, but I had to go find her twice once just to get a drink refill, and then again to pay the bill. Both times, she was just sitting by the fountain drink station, leaning on the counter, and on her phone. It's a shame because I usually enjoy coming here. "I will definitely be back, but I'll be hoping for a different server next time. Service like that really impacts the experience, and I'd rather not go through it again.
Bertha M — Google review
Had burgers here a few times. It's generally taken a tad too long before a server actually gets to my table. Food is good and relatively inexpensive . I am a French fry connoisseur. I prefer my potatoes crispy but tender. I've asked for well done French fries multiple times and they have only hit perfection one time. Cook your fries a tad longer. Customer's will thank you for it.

Parley Room offers an open-air cocktail brunch with a view of Maryland's State House, making it a refreshing start to your Sunday. The place is known for its custom craft cocktails, individually chosen for special occasions like wedding parties. Guests have praised the unique drinks and small plates at this speakeasy-style venue with an upper-level view of Main Street Annapolis. While some found the food portions smaller than expected, others enjoyed the delightful atmosphere and friendly bartenders.
This is a must visit if you’re stopping through Annapolis or if you’re a local. The vibe is 1920’s, both in terms of decor and the cocktail menu. The appetizers are absolutely delicious and creative and there are no TVs to distract from good company. It’s located in the heart of Main Street in downtown Annapolis. You’ll enter from the stairs on the left of my Vida Taco Bar (see my photo). The drinks are great and the appetizers are absolutely delicious. The patio faces the state house so you feel like you’re getting a historic experience. Can’t recommend this business enough. (I was here at 1pm so my photos don’t show a big crowd, but at night it comes to life). If your server and bartender is Omar, you’re in good hands.

Cons: need more visual display outside to signify the establishment is open. Close the curtains at least half way inside to obtain a darker and more speakeasy atmosphere. Pros: OUTSTANDING food, customer service, and drinks. Cannot recommend the place enough. If you are in town for just one day, stop by for snacks, a meal, or a drink... you will be happy you did 🤣

I can't believe I never reviewed this place! I love it here. The cocktails are incredible, the staff is even better. Omar's awesome. It's also tucked away so it feels pretty cozy off of Main Street. Great food too.

What a gem of a place! We were able to try it out tonight after hearing rave reviews from so many people. Small, cozy and nicely decorated. Our bartender Jake was very personable and friendly. The cocktails were ah-mazing! Jake was kind enough to let me try one of the new cocktails coming out soon. The food was great as well. Great place to stop by after work or anytime. Went there again and it was even better than the first time. Great cocktails, yummy appetizers, beautiful atmosphere. My nth time @ Parley and it never disappoints. Jade (or J/Jay), our bartender, was absolutely delightful and the cocktails, the food, the atmosphere and everything else were outstanding!

Omar! My new best friend! We told you we'd be back and back we were. Stopped down to the Parley Room for my buddy's bday. I was a little uneasy on our way; I'm typically more of a beer and fries type of person. We had a fantastic time. The place looks fancy from all the drinks, but I definitely didn't feel like I needed to be dressed up or anything (I did wear a polo and jeans). It was great weather, we sat out on the patio. They had some good, upbeat music playing in the background, loud enough that you could catch the beat but low enough that it didn't interfere with conversation. Food was good, but I'm more of a simple guy when it comes to food so it was good. Drinks were awesome. Omar guilted me into ordering a cocktail and not just a "mule"; I can get that anywhere... :) The O.G. was really good. I actually stuck with that. Omar was awesome, great dude, great personality. He really made the afternoon a lot of fun. We left after a couple hours and walked around Annapolis; and got dinner (our waitress elsewhere left a lot to be desired compared to Omar). Towards the evening we were trying to figure out what to do next and decided we'd head back to see if Omar was indeed still working. We saw him as we walked up and decided to quick jump back to our same open table. The shock on his face when we yelled his name from "our" table was hilarious. We had a few more drinks and then ended with an expresso martini and a chocolate creme brulee. That was fantastic! Thanks for the great time! We'll make sure we check your schedule before we come back.
Eric B — Google review
Still amazing. Delicious cocktails and food. Omar/Steve(? LOL) is amazing. Thinking we need to see some fall/pumpkin cocktails please!
Lauren F — Google review
I was looking for somewhere to relax and this fit perfectly. It has a speakeasy vibe without being in a basement. The cocktails were complex without trying too hard, some places go way overboard. I had the Torched Filet, and it was excellent. For me it was a perfect portion size, too. I read some things that called their dishes "small plates", and I wouldn't characterize them that way. It was a Goldilocks portion, enough to fill you up but not weigh you down. The restaurant overlooks the busy touristy street in town but the entrance is on the opposite street, so it's not as wild as lot of the other restaurants in the area. There's a nice big patio out front for outdoor dining. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked.

Chessie's Wharf is a new taproom located in West Annapolis, owned and operated by RAR Brewing. It offers nearly 40 draft beer selections along with comfort food. The taproom has a wide variety of beers including IPAs, pales, lagers, and funky one-off sours on their Out of Order menu. They also offer flights of in-house beers and have a good selection of guest taps. The space is open and inviting with great music playing.
So I asked my Waze to take me to Annapolis and it took me straight to Melvin Ave. I was in the mood for a brewery and there was Chessie’s, 400’ away. I sat at the bar and the bartender immediately provided me with both the food & brews menus and I had to try the mysterious described Dark Side Deluxe and I paired it with an amply portioned fish sandwich. Both were decadently delicious. I also had the coastal shandy, which was just the right balance of sweet and hops. The tasting room was full of good spirits & vibes and the bartender always checked in on me to make sure I was good. Overall I recommend Chessie’s

I had such a lovely experience at Chessie’s Wharf! I ordered the seasonal salad with chicken and a glass of wine — everything was absolutely delicious and so refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back

Chessie’s Wharf in Annapolis stays rolling out delicious burgers 🍔 and ice cold RAR brewery beer 🍺 ! Perfect for before or after a Navy football game or for watching sports with friends. Each burger comes with a Chessie burned into the bun. If you aren’t familiar with Chessie, it’s essentially the Chesapeake Bay’s take on Nessie from Loch Ness. The burgers were great - the perfect smash burger style - fries 🍟 and tots were also delicious. The space is on the small side but does have an outdoor area. It has a lot of long high top tables with 10-12 chairs and just a few booths. If it’s cold or poor weather, the small area does get packed and you may sit next to strangers. If you’re a burger fan do not skip! 🍔🍟

Outstanding - Lauren’s team and the staff at RaR staff have made an amazing family experience well worth checking. Among the numerous taps (some guest) and even three Lukr pours this is a delightful experience that brings quality brewed beer from Eastern Maryland to Annapolis. Parking is a bit narrow, but larger trucks and vans can park behind or on the street. Easily accessible throughout the area I’d recommend everyone adding this location to your list of favorites

Bots the young waiter was a very clear headed person. The beer and specialty cocktails were excellent. Fish sandwich and onion rings tasty. Crab balls were okay. 5 for 18 was a bit much. There were lots of 20 to 40 somethings and we will be back. A fair amount of families there but on this night one 8 yr old kid was so loud we needed to leave rather than have another round. The TV screens with menus were great. Mayne a subtle msg on manners for kids? Most were great A nice almost upscale casual. We wi return with friends.

Leo Annapolis is a charming, locally sourced restaurant that offers a wonderful dining experience. The owners are accommodating and understanding of special dietary needs, making sure to provide various menu options that fit specific diets. The food is outstanding, with dishes like hummus, pork belly, pan-seared chicken, and coulotte steak receiving high praise for their delicious flavors and perfect preparation. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff members like Hilary and Ella providing excellent guidance on the menu.
It's been ages since I reviewed a restaurant, but Leo earned it. Stepping in for date night, the warm, minimalist vibe instantly explained their high rating. Perfect for couples, it was relaxed yet sophisticated. Service was top-notch; attentive and efficient, our server knew the menu well, giving great recommendations. Passion shone through. The food? Amazing. Duck was perfect: crispy skin, tender meat, balanced flavors. High-quality ingredients and detail were obvious in every bite. Even the bar nailed it, crafting a perfect off-menu cocktail. Leo surpassed expectations. We'll be back!

First time visiting Leo’s and it did not disappoint! Loved the atmosphere, service was great, and the food was absolutely amazing!! I got the mushroom pasta dish and my friend got the steak and fries, we paired it with an Italian red wine (it was sooo good!). Probably one of the best vegetarian pasta dishes I have had in a while— it was flavorful and fresh, portion size was great too. For dessert we had the banana pudding cheesecake, it was not too sweet or heavy, which is what I like. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you enjoy amazing food and service.

The food was pretty good, with solid flavors that left us satisfied. What really stood out was the ambiance: the decor is stylish, warm, and inviting, making the whole dining experience even better. Overall, a place I’d definitely recommend for good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere.

Foodies, finally a dining experience worth sharing in Annapolis!! My daughter and I visited yesterday @ 5:30 pm. By the time we left it was nearly full (on a Tuesday), so obviously others have discovered how special Leo is. First, the cocktails were delicious (GnA and a gimlet)! We began with the squash and burrata with focaccia, which was perfect and told us we were in for many happy mouthfuls. Being a vegetarian, I had the mushroom ragout, which I understand is one of the chef’s faves, and it was fabulous! My daughter chose the smashburger. She LOVED it, and I can attest that the fries are fantastic. The brussels side was top three I’ve had in as many years — just so flavorful. We ended with the PB mousse and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Don’t know whose ice cream they use, but it was amazing. Best dining experience I’ve ever had in Annapolis. There are seafood dishes if that’s your fancy, and I’m sure they are yummy too.

Best food I’ve had in the longest time. Their duck was outstanding, wine was amazing. Our server, Emmett, recommended dishes and the wine we had, which is what made the entire experience. He was top tier and the meal matched!! Can’t wait to come back. And get the butternut squash appetizer!
Alyssa K — Google review
10/10 First impression - the place is stylish, elegant, and yet cozy. I was welcomed with a big smile from the host. Dining alone, I opted to eat at the bar. The bartender was friendly as I inquired about a bubbly mocktail. He suggested Take It To Darrell’s, and boy was that delicious (greedy me would have preferred a bigger glass). My curiosity was piqued with the Golden Crispy Grits. A+ on creativity and execution. It was very unique to a Seattleite like me. However, the spotlight ultimately goes to the Snakehead dish. My oh my, I love the symphony of different flavors and textures: the sweetness from the corn, the freshness of the cherry tomatoes, the snakehead cooked right, the sauces, to the micro cilantro for a well-rounded meal. I finished the night with the Peanut Butter Mouse guilt-free (it’s vegan, yay!). The staff was warm and attentive. I felt special that night. I was treated like it was my birthday. Given it was a quiet late Monday night, but I can only imagine it would be extra special if you’re celebrating an occasion. My only predicament after I dined with Leo Annapolis is that I live in the West Coast. I still reminisce about my dining experience there. I can't wait to go back to Baltimore and try the other dishes!
Lara W — Google review
We can’t wait to come back. The steak was unbelievably tender . The peppercorn sauce was delicious and my gimlet was perfection. We also got the focaccia with lemon garlic butter and the Brussel sprouts which were both gone before I took a picture .
Josie H — Google review
The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was engaging. Overall, the service was good and they have a nice selection of wines. I started with the Crispy Grits. They were amazing as was the aioli served with the grits. My only critique, remove the paper napkin from the plate. It get moist and sticks to the grits. For my Main, I had a disappointing Coulotte Steak (1 star). I was presented a dinner plate with french fries piled high and a small side of Coulotte Steak smothered in a bland sauce. The few pieces of steak were very small, sliced too thin and the entire dish was room temperature. Had it not been for this, I would have given Leo 5 stars.

Best flight presentation anywhere, 4 beers served on an F18!... Also best crab cake I've ever had, meat, some bread, great flavor not full of mayo...

Neat atmosphere and the female owner was extremely friendly. The food and beer were good too!

We enjoyed our visit to Chesapeake Brewing Company very much. They have a nice selection of both their own beers and other local brewery offerings and the atmosphere there is very relaxed and comfortable. It's not a noisy place but great for unwinding with friends. The location is also pretty great, as it's not in the heart of the overcrowded tourist area but just a short walk from those places if that's your thing. We will definitely be back!
Mike O — Google review
Stopped in during the arts fest as it was the first place we walked into that did not have any type of wait for a table (which, in retrospect, isn't the slightest bit surprising). The lady who got us our table was extremely friendly and accommodating, as was the wait staff. The Bloody Marys were also made very well and quickly. However, that's where the positivity ended. With us, we had 2 children (aged 5 and 2) and 5 adults. Aside from being accommodating to our party, the food situation (portion, taste, quality, price) were all well below-par. About 10 minutes after ordering, we were told it'd be another 25 minutes until our food came out. Okay, whatever. It wasn't very busy but I try and give the benefit of the doubt as an order for 7 people understandably can take some time. After 30 minutes they brought out the kids' meals. They do not sell fries and their side is a handful of store bought chips out of a bag. It took 30 minutes for a grilled cheese and chicken fingers (only !two! to an order) and 2 handfuls of store bought chips. 30 minutes in a restaurant with open tables. After another 20 minutes the grown-up food came out, also accompanied with store bought chips at a 15 dollar price point average. One of the sandwiches was good and the burger was OK, but the crab queso, 11 dollar meatless 4 ounce salad and giant pretzel were all surprisingly underwhelming and bland. If you're just planning on having a drink or two (no more, as one bloody Mary is 11 dollars) it's a more than adequate and nice little place. For a meal, though, you are wasting your time and money.

I love love this brewery!!! I visit here frequently and have enjoyed each visit. I am welcomed as soon as I come in by waitress staff, and the owners strike up conversation with their guests and are very informative of the going ons of Annapolis. The beer is great and the food is homemade and served in a timely fashion. If you are looking for a great place with a wonderful staff, great food and nice atmosphere - I highly recommend you make this place one of your stops!!

Customers have praised the seamless process of catering receptions with excellent quality products. The store boasts an impressive collection of beer, wine, and liquor with knowledgeable staff providing excellent recommendations for events.
Used Mills to supply our liquor/wine for a wedding, and it was a flawless, unproblematic experience. They delivered to the local venue on time and without any hiccups. Fine prices and the ability to sell back unopened bottles was hugely valuable. If we had to do the wedding all over again, purchasing from Mills would be one thing I wouldn't change.

17July2024 First time in here. Both cashier were receptive and cordial. Nicely stocked and organized place. Nice selection of libations from around the world and prices are the prices(for in a pinch).
Spiral T — Google review
Great selection with great prices. Very impressed with the bourbon/American Whiskey selection. Lots of great, harder to find bottles (Michters, Rare Character, Found North, Willet, etc.) being sold without the insane markup that you usually see in the area.

A pleasure to do business with this fine store. They have a courteous staff with a service mindset.

We are transient boaters without transportation. We ram out of important provisions! Oh no! Mills to the rescue. Delivered right to our slip. Prices were decent. Excellent service. Please tip your delivery driver!

Amazing. Perfect liquor, beer, and wine selection. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. A great experience.

Tim is amazing. He was able to work with distributors to bring in my favorite Gin. I won’t lie, this shop has a great selection of Gin to start with, but we’re able to fill a void I’ve had for a long time. The store is well stocked, organized, and very clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend a visit!

Nestled beneath the charming Acqua al 2 in Annapolis, Harold Black is a delightful subterranean speakeasy that opened its doors in 2022. This cozy bar is steeped in history, built on the remnants of three 19th-century structures once home to the Annapolis Banking & Trust Company. Guests can indulge in a festive Italian menu featuring innovative dishes that beautifully blend traditional flavors with modern twists.
Great spot in Annapolis that is just a little different. Drinks were top notch. Jake the bartender knows his spirits and makes great recommendations as well as drinks. Definitely try the Mai tai (it’s not your sugary punch version) and the NY sour. Cheeseburger was good. Staff was very friendly, and we will return!
Heather T — Google review
Living in D.C. and frequenting Harold Black on Capitol Hill for years before they closed during COVID, my buddy and I made the 30-minute drive to Annapolis to visit Harold Black, also in Acqua al 2. It was a different experience than the one in D.C. What's the same is that they are both in a good Italian restaurant, but the Annapolis one if in the basement and more of a bar than an actual speakeasy. When we went, it was crowded so we're glad we had a reservation. Service was great! Our server was hilarious, but not as knowledgeable on cocktails. The menus were very basic. Our drinks were not bad, but not at the level of the D.C. Harold Black. I appreciated the Maryland hard cider on the menu. We're glad we went, but the Harold Black in D.C. was special.
Austin G — Google review
Good vibes if you like cocktails in a dark, basement bar. We’ve gotten the apps/snacks which are fine. I wouldn’t eat a full meal here because the food comes from Acqua Al upstairs (separate review). Cocktails are good, not a big wine or beer selection. Overall, I’ve always liked the atmosphere and the bartenders are friendly. One of our go-tos for cocktails before dinner or late night meetups with friends.
CDMVMP — Google review
In the basement below Acqua Al 2, Harold Black is a bar/speakeasy for a fun late night spot. I was definitely expecting “more” when you call yourself a speakeasy, but it was fine enough for an after dinner drink. The bartender didn’t seem to know much of drink making and was confused when we shared the ingredients of a drink. Ended up getting poured enough port for three glasses so it all worked out in the end. Will probably try another place next time.
Natalie C — Google review
Great service from Lenny and Jojo! Highly recommend the burger on the bar menu, it may be $20, but it’s worth it! Cocktails and vibes were on point.

Haley was our server and she was such a wonderful server. The food was some of the best pasta I’ve ever had, I had the gnocchi. Overall one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had
Larissa W — Google review
Very cool speakeasy new to downtown Annapolis. The drinks are pricey and not overly strong but the atmosphere and service make the visit worth it if you’re looking for a fun night out. Would love to see more of these restaurant/speakeasy’s in downtown in the future.
Brian R — Google review
The ambience and vibes were pretty cool. Service started off good, but once we closed after one round of drinks our server brought the wrong tab and then disappeared for 20 minutes and we had to close out at the bar. The drinks were kind of disappointing for a cocktail bar, unfortunately.

Historical landmark
Nestled in the heart of Annapolis, the Maryland State House stands as a testament to American history and architectural grandeur. Completed in 1779, this remarkable structure is not only one of the oldest state houses in the nation but also a site where pivotal moments unfolded, such as George Washington's resignation from his military command and the ratification of the Treaty of Paris. The building boasts an impressive wooden dome, completed in 1794, which remains the largest of its kind in America.
It is a must-see museum if you are in the area. The museum is beautiful with a rich history. This State house was the first peacetime capitol of the United States and is the only state house ever to have served as the national’s capitol. The State House and its ground embody four hundred years of Maryland and early American history. Imagine yourself in the Old Senate Chamber when General George Washington came before Congress to resign his commission as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army in this room. It is a well-informative museum of history. I encourage people to take about 2 hours here to explore each chamber room, archives room, and other rooms. Some of the highlights include the Rotunda where the case of George Washington’s copy of the speech he gave resigning his commission as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army in 1783 is displayed, the old Senate Chamber, an interactive exhibits in the Senate Committer / Stairwell Rooms, and other invaluable of paintings and bronze statues of various people in history. After touring the museum, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby to enjoy lunch or dinner:)
Bee C — Google review
The Maryland State House is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Annapolis. Rich in history and architectural beauty, it's not just the oldest state capitol still in continuous legislative use—it’s also one of the most significant landmarks in the entire country. Walking up to the building, you're immediately struck by the majestic wooden dome, which happens to be the largest of its kind constructed without nails. It's a beautiful symbol of 18th-century craftsmanship and remains a standout feature of the Annapolis skyline. Once inside, the sense of history is palpable. This is the very place where George Washington resigned his commission as commander-in-chief in 1783—a powerful moment that reinforced civilian control over the military and helped define the future of American democracy. The Old Senate Chamber, beautifully restored to its Revolutionary War-era appearance, allows visitors to step back in time and feel the weight of the decisions that were made there. Another highlight is the rotunda, where a replica of the ship "Maryland Federalist" hangs suspended, adding a nautical touch to this deeply patriotic site. The newer sections of the State House are just as impressive, with marble floors, grand staircases, and portraits of important figures in Maryland’s history, including tributes to Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass. The entire building feels like a blend of museum and government space—functional, yet reverent to the past. The atmosphere is peaceful and respectful, and the staff and security were friendly and welcoming. Self-guided tours are encouraged, with plenty of interpretive signs and displays that explain the significance of the rooms and artifacts. If you’re a history buff, a student, or simply curious about America’s roots, you’ll find this place both fascinating and inspiring. The Maryland State House isn't just a stop on a tour—it’s a direct connection to the founding of the country. It's free to enter, open to the public daily, and it sits just a short walk from the waterfront, shops, and other historic sites, making it a perfect addition to any day spent in downtown Annapolis. Whether you're visiting Annapolis for the first time or live nearby, this historic gem deserves a visit. It’s a quiet yet powerful reminder of where we’ve come from—and the values that continue to shape our country.
Tim P — Google review
A must see historic building if you’re in town. Easy to walk into and guide yourself around, you can spend around 45 minutes here reading everything and absorbing the beautiful architecture. Standing in the room where George Washington resigned his commission is a fantastic experience, they’ve done a wonderful job preserving and maintaining here!
Marc M — Google review
Really enjoyed having a look around this place. Although renovations are currently taking place, the interior is still mostly accessible. There are a lot of informative exhibits that talk about various aspects of the Capitol's history, and Maryland's history. There is an exhibit with an original copy of Washington's resignation speech. They also discuss how Maryland was involved in the drafting of the Constitution and the Revolutionary War.
J. E — Google review
Out of all the state houses, I did not expect Maryland to have such a beautiful and historic state house. Though I still think Mississippi has the best capitol building, Maryland is a close second. The design is beautiful with a marble staircase, and has brilliant paintings decorating the walls. Staff is wonderful, restrooms are downstairs. But where this building shines most is being the place where GEORGE WASHINGTON RESIGNED FROM COMMANDER AND CHIEF OF THE CONTINENTAL ARMY. Very cool!

We had the opportunity/honor to visit the Maryland State House in JUL_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about Maryland's history and legacy. We did a plant tour aroud since it was closed during the 4th July, and evend during the reforbishment process, for sure it's a remarkable building. Definitely, it's a place that deserves my respect. It was a privilege.
Robertson S — Google review
Definitely worth the visit. Such a historic beautiful building with a story to tell.
Carrie H — Google review
Maryland’s is one of the smaller state houses, but it is one of the most attractive. We were made to feel extremely welcome, and the self-guided tour of the main floor had plenty of information. It is a blend of contemporary and historical, from the modern legislative chambers to the old Senate chamber, carefully restored to commemorate Washington resigning his commission there in 1783. Having visited quite a few capitols, I found Annapolis intimate and very pleasant, and certainly came away knowing more about Maryland and the state’s history.

Great Frogs Winery, located just a short distance from downtown Annapolis, is run by winemakers Andrea and Nathanael O'Shea along with their two dogs, Scout and Bruno. The winery's tasting room offers a cool and breezy atmosphere even on hot summer days. Visitors can enjoy a tasting of five wines, three dessert wines, and a delightful cheese platter in the rustic tobacco barn that serves as the tasting room and store.
Such a nice local winery in the area! Tasting was self serve. Plenty of seating. Dogs welcome! The charcuterie board was amazing.

Great winery! Went yesterday for birthday adventure with my bffs and this place is gorgeous! Great wine, yummy snacks, great staff, beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely be back again soon!

It was a good experience until my husband bit into a date that was molded inside with black dust. We showed the worker and the manager working there and they didn't really say much but just gave us an attitude. I dont think they knew at all how to handle a situation like such so we just asked for a bottle of water because my husband’s mouth was also covered in black dust and had swallowed some of it too. He also ended up getting sick right after and had to take time off work for a few days. Just be careful when you’re eating there!

A nice winery to check out in Annapolis - has live music, tasting flights, and some charcuterie. Indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up just getting a bottle of white wine to share.

Beautiful property, great friendly service, some excellent wines, fantastic charcuterie board. Perfect place for a wedding.

Great experience! I was worried when the calendar said live music but it wasn’t very loud and very relaxing music choice. There are also plenty of seats away from the singer if you prefer. I really enjoyed that you could bring your own food but their options were really good too. Great selection of wines with very knowledgeable staff. There was also an area where you could take photos with an old truck and the grape vines.
Helen K — Google review
This is a great winery to just sit outside and relax. They have a beautiful outdoor area with lots of seating. If you're planning to get a flight tasting they have preselected wines already picked out so you don't get to pick your own. You can opt for what they call the premium tasting indoor only, but that was more expensive than I wanted to pay. The wines were ok, but nothing really special. Not bad, but just not great.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday at Great Frogs! From our very first visit while planning the event, Flor was incredibly attentive and helpful. On the day of the celebration, the entire staff went above and beyond to take care of every detail and made all of our guests feel genuinely welcome. The wine, the beautiful scenery, and the live music made the evening unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to returning many times. Thank you for making this milestone so special!
