The venue is lovely, cozy atmosphere and some African art on the walls. The service was excellent our waiter was attentive and so was the host for the evening. We ordered: beetroot and goats cheese salad and tuna carpaccio for starters, both dishes were fresh and well prepared. We ordered: beef fillet steak for main with a side of veggies. The steak was cooked as requested, but extremely dry, we were disappointed and recommend ordering a sauce with this dish. Generally we don't have sauces with our steaks but this requires it. The side veggies were lovely and we enjoyed the zest of lemon for flavor. Our final course was dessert: a bit of a hit and miss with this. The baked cheesecake with passion fruit was amazing, fresh and decent portion size. The apple pie however was a complete miss, large chunky apple slices undercooked with a crumb and cream, this was unappetizing and truly disappointing. They have a good selection of wines to choose from and MCC by the glass which we appreciated. Overall a 3/5 on the food but all else was good.

Our second time at Nguni over two separate trips to Plett. A nice homely intimate feel and great attentive service. The menu stayed pretty much the same as did the quality of the food. Not one of those huge menus with lots of things, but nicely done Some veggie options but this place really excels at meat. We had the ostrich from the menu and the venison which was a special. We also brought our own bottle of non alcoholic wine and paid a small corkage fee.

We had a nice dinner in this place, but somehow we felt the whole experience mediocre. Our waitress was friendly, but a bit superficial. Fot example when my partner told her how well cooked the steak is desired, she made a remark if he was sure about that. The line fish was delicious, the smoked ostrich was a bit a strangely plated, but was also really good. Prices are okay, wines are also good.

We could only book the 6:30 slot although most of the tables inside were empty. The bobotie spring roll was delicious. The fillet steak was perfectly cooked. The prawns was not as good as the steak. The deconstructed meringue was very good. The service was very attentive and friendly. Nice place for dinner if you could get a table outside.

Lovely views and fun decorated atmosphere. Butternut&feta side is a great choice, fish was perfectly cooked but didn't like the taste of the calamari, predominant crispy crumbs (perhaps the oil was due for fresh batch?) No baby changing area. Good selection on kids menu.

The Lookout Deck boasts one of the most breathtaking seaside views in Plettenberg Bay, perched right on the beachfront, it offers an unbeatable backdrop of ocean and horizon while you dine. The option to sit inside or outside is a plus, and the gentle sea breeze adds something special to the experience. The menu is varied, with almost daily specials and occasional live performances. While we appreciate live music, the upbeat style on the night felt a little mismatched to the setting—we would’ve loved something more relaxed to complement the sound of the waves and tranquil atmosphere. We ordered the grilled hake, which arrived fairly quickly and well portioned, but unfortunately, both portions were overcooked. The side dishes, however, crispy chips and fresh salad, were excellent. Although the waitress was friendly, service was somewhat slow and a few requests were left unattended. Despite this, when we raised the issue, a manager responded promptly, apologized sincerely, and arranged for our meals to be redone. The replacements were superb—tender, perfectly cooked, and truly delicious. The coffee that followed was excellent, and we appreciated the senior staff checking in personally to ensure all was well. All in all, a pleasant and memorable date night with my wife. We’d gladly return and look forward to another meal here.

The Lookout Deck The Lookout Deck is located on the edge of Plettenbergbay between sand and sea, with the backdrop of Plettenbergbay and the beautiful seaview on the horizon. We went for lunch and order the Wednesday Special (Pint of Prawns). The portion exceeded our expectations, it was big with 10 prawns hanging over the cup. Delicious, flavorful and filling. Ordered an extra side chips, but it was too much for two people to eat. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Zola's smile and positive attitude was something that is burned in our hearts. Thank you!

For 20 years in this place still keeps giving. Right on the beach, it doesn't get any better. No fuss no frills place that does offer quality. Their salad with capers and calamari tubes is spectacular in taste. The R99 Monday burger special is a steal. No fancy burger but good enough with plenty of great chips.

Awesome location but not impressed with the food. The bread tasted stale and the pizza over cooked. My son asked for parma cheese for his pizza and they said it would cost an extra R52🤪

Thank you for a lovely meal, it was all excellent. I went with a 4 for my meal because the Halloumi salad had too much lettuce. Everything was delicious, the waitress was lovely and the music was well curated and at a good volume. The food was excellent value with generous potion sizes. Will definitely be back the next time we are in Plett!

We came here for lunch after a hike and the bowl were so delicious! We had the tuna and steak bowls and they were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Excellent waiters as well, very attentive and friendly

We recently dined at 1989 Restaurant and shared the 1989 burger—hands down the best burger I’ve ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with a juicy patty, fresh toppings, and a delicious bun that brought everything together. Every bite was a taste sensation, and you could tell the ingredients were of top quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a burger lover or just looking for a great meal, 1989 Restaurant is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Incredible service, and the staff is amazing. I tried the jalapeño cheese burger, ribeye steak, and one of the pastas they recommended. All of them were good. One of the places i highly recommended here in plattenberg.

Nice relaxed place to eat. I had the Thai Peanut Curry with chicken (als vegetarian available) which was delicious, smooth as silk and just spice enough to still taste the flavours. The Crunchy Crunch Shake too cool down was badly needed but just stood much. Big portions, great taste, relaxed atmosphere 👍

The food was ok and they have one or two vegan options. The tables and menu cards would need some refurbishment though-they seemed quite used and it was not making a good impression.

Recommended by our Backpacker host. We went with a group of 8 people to have dinner. During dinner, open mic evening was happening. The Mexican food was so delicous. Took the Enchiladas and I can definitely recommend them!

Cosy and beautiful restaurant with good and professional service! The Indonesian curry was a little spicy and delicious. Also the whole atmosphere with all the surfboards and the live music really improved our impression!

Love love love this place!! They played awesome music, had good drink prices, friendly staff, good food selection, and a pleasant view. They also have good wifi here. I would definitely frequent this place often if I was a local.

What a great golf course. The pro shop is well stocked, the course is in excellent condition, and the halfway house food selection is pretty decent. One gripe from me, being a handicapped member at Metropolitan in Cape Town, I found the green fees pretty expensive! Even so, we will be back.

A relaxed vibe, stunning scenery and an awesome course, make this Golf Club a fantastic place to spend a few hours. The Verandah Restuarant at the clubhouse provides an awesome menu at a reasonable price.

Very nice estate, well kempt and with amazing facilities. They have a two tennis courts here too. There is also a good restaurant, The Verandah, with amazing views at the Clubhouse. The views from the accommodation units are great. This is a secure estate set on the fringes of Plettenberg Bay. Easily accessible on the N2. The security details are professional and friendly.

Exceptionally beautiful golf course. The greens are amazing!!! The fairways immaculate and the staff so friendly & helpful. The Marshall even drove off to get us some water/drinks mid round!

I enjoy playing this course. It is in immaculate condition. The greens are consistently quick and a bit tricky to read. The fairways are well manicured. Some tough and challenging holes and some fairly encouraging ones. The course is well balanced. If you can't stay on the Fairway, your ball is lost in the fynbos on most holes. You also get to meet many friendly and interesting people, locals and international visitors. Also ran into the wonderful gentleman, the Black Knight himself - Gary Player - who designed the golf course! I recommend it.

I'm not a golfer, but enjoy to accompany my husband. Beautiful course, beautiful scenery. Plenty bird life. Fantastic carrot cake at halfway house. The ladies cloakroom is an oasis

Lovely restaurant! Super quick service too. We enjoyed their crispy squid heads and also shared a pizza. We begged the waiter to give us a half&half option for the pizza. He wasn’t actually allowed to, but asked the chef for a favour. And I am so glad that he did! The pizza was amazing. We also ordered their espresso martini and a mango margarita. Not the best cocktails I’ve had, but it was good. I really enjoyed the ambience and the music was great!

Heard this place serves amazing pizza and pasta but we’re very disappointed. The dishes were not so good. The next day we couldn’t find a table anywhere else so came back again, this time we ordered stakes- much better! So that I would recommend. Good service and fair prices.

Great food and options for vegetarians and vegans. I haven't had a vegan Sheppard's pie so I tried out this and their pasta. Both were very homey and had lots of flavour. This restaurant seemed to make provision for families with toddlers and children as I saw the manager quickly pull out a baby seat for one of the children (so cute). The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, especially in contrast to the warm and chic atmosphere the restaurant provided. Beautiful artwork on the wall. Toilets were outside the restaurant in the main center.

Chilled and quaint restaurant and bar on the main street in Plett. It was not busy at all when I got here, mostly because I came way out of peak season. However, I do recommend their cocktails. Didn't eat anything. Their music is also groovy

Had a great lunch! The waiters went out of their way to make sure our beers are cold. The pizza selection is unique but still great.

We stumbled upon the brewery by chance today. We were very impressed by the property. We ordered something to eat there. It was delicious. The burger was very tasty, the meat was very tender. The beer was really delicious. As a German, I can highly recommend the Hefeweizen. The waiter, Avu, was very friendly and gave us good advice. The restrooms were very clean. There was plenty of soap and paper towels.

We spent three nights in Plettenberg Bay as tourists and ended up eating at Barringtons twice — simply because it was that good! On our first evening, we had the beef and chicken burgers, both absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We were so impressed that we came back two nights later for the Korma beef curry and the salmon, which were both full of flavor and beautifully presented. For dessert, we tried the Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu — both were outstanding and the perfect finish to an amazing meal. The ambience at Barringtons is warm, stylish, and inviting, and the service was excellent on both nights — attentive, friendly, and professional. We highly recommend Barringtons to anyone visiting Plettenberg Bay. A true gem with wonderful food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service!

I had the pleasure of having a craft beer tasting, dinner and breakfast here. Could not fault a thing. The food is delicious and fresh, menu is diverse, service is excellent and the setting is stunning. Highly recommend.

This is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and sophisticated, the cheeseburger was out of this world, and the beer tasting was a great experience.

The kids loved exploring Barrington's especially the beautiful veggie garden. I had a fantastic chickpea and Haloumi quinoa warm salad! The kids were very impressed with the way the icecream cones were presented. Will definitely visit again!

We had such a wonderful lunch at Barringtons. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary & the waitress brought us two glasses of delicious champagne with berries in. She also brought our kids a marsh mellow each & were so kind to them. Our meal was delicious and the veggie gardens were also so well kept and was nice to walk through. Next time we visit Plett, we will definitely be back again.

We (my wife and I) have thoroughly enjoyed breakfasts, lunches and bar drinks here at Barrington’s Restaurant, Bar and Terraces. When they say you can enjoy long lazy breakfasts and lunches out on one of the many sunny terraces, this is absolutely spot on (although yesterday it rained so we had breakfast inside and still enjoyed a lazy breakfast and the vibe!). The food, service and the experience is not to be missed. With so many tables there’s no hurry, indeed it was very busy but we were not rushed at all. We came here last year for the first time. It’s very impressive. Walking through the kitchen gardens is lovely, so well set out and manicured. The restaurant and terraces are very clean and well thought out. The food is excellent . The bar and the beer they brew is also fabulous. I think this is an experience not to be missed, after a few visits I can confidently say we have not been disappointed, indeed we really look forward to coming here. I hope you enjoy it too!

What a beautiful place to camp / Glamp, the grounds are well maintained, the ablution blocks are clean all the time, the view is stunning and what lovely staff, they are friendly, helpful and keep the place meat and clean 24/7. This is one of my favorite camping grounds on the garden route, not too expensive either. Thank you Keurbooms lagoon, we will definitely be back 🤩

This place is an absolute dream. The most incredible sunrise views, so make sure you wake up for them! The lagoon is so peaceful to just stare at all day and the many different bird calls are delightful to wake up to. The bathrooms were always clean, the showers were hot and wonderful and the staff are super friendly. For all these reasons, I would highly recommend this amazing campsite!

This is a really great campsite! The bathrooms in particular, are very neat, modern and serviced daily. There are over 200 level, grassy sites to choose from and the lagoon at sunrise is spectacular! There are lots to see and do in the area and will definitely recommend spending some time here....

Beautiful open lagoon, crystal clear blue water. Temperature of the water was cold. But refreshing! Toilets clean, 5 star on the service of trash cans being emptied everyday.

I have stayed here a few times now, and in my books probably one of the best camp sites in South Africa. Having the lagoon right in front of you like that is hard to beat!. Great for families who boat and like to fish, .. but even if you dont its just a stunning place. Best ablutions ever!!

We camped after the Christmas season and got a waterfront plot on the lagoon. It was beautiful to wake up to the sunrise. We snorkelled along the edge of the lagoon it was like an aquarium. You can cycle to the shops on a cycle path. The ablutions are clean and the staff are friendly. We felt very safe.

8th wonder of the world. Lovely camp, well run, ablutions excellent. Highly recommended. River frontage best sites. Booking however I think is essential due to popularity.

We stayed here for 2 nights in December. It started off really well with a nice check in with coffee and cake. The views are to die for but lots of improvements elsewhere are needed. I was a bit disappointed by the room was it has ants in the room coming from both the balcony and bathroom. In addition the small pool has only 4 deck chairs and we couldn't really use the pool until late in the evening. Also no pool towels were avaliable ( the cleaners took it from our room). Nice location but service to be improved.

What a beautiful place. Small pool with a view of the sea. Rich breakfast buffet. Heidi and her team take care of the guests' wishes with great commitment. Heidi sent the charger, which we had forgotten, to Cape Town. Many thanks for the great excursion informations.

Probably the accomodation ever. 5 stars are too less... Everything was amazing, the room, the cheminay, the bathroom, the balcony, the breakfast. The staff is also very nice and friendly and provided nice recommendations for the places nearby.

Super nice guesthouse in best location, only a few steps away from the great beach. Very clean and stylishly furnished rooms, extensive breakfast and a crew that lives true and warm hospitality.

I stayed last Dec 2010 with my wife for our honeymoon: it was a combination and believed in what our agency advised: Periwinkle was really good stay, not center city but in the middle of the beachdrive st and in front of the see! To be strongly recommended!

Off the Hook is an ideally placed restaurant and takeaway as you head toward Beacon Island in Plettenberg Bay. Thanks to Chante for keeping the service sharp and efficient late on a Saturday night, making it easy for tourists to find the meal that works for them. There is outside seating for hotter nights, and the atmosphere, while not that diverse, feels warm and welcoming. Lots of menu options and everything tastes fresh.

What a lovely little restaurant. We had a quick lunch while on holiday. It's a small venue and since we were there in the off season it was very quiet..in fact we were the only customers but it did not affect our visit. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a really casual feel. The server was very friendly but the most surprising part was the food. Very generous portions and quite tasty. If you would like a quick meal while in Plettenberg bay you can really give this one a try.

Been driving past for years and glad we finally decided to stop. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Enjoyed a fried jalapeno for the first time and not disappointed.

We were in the mood for burgers and “Off the hook” delivered. We had the nacho libre with the cheesy fries. The burger and portion of fries were huge but did not compromise on taste. The chicken burger was also great and juicy

We came here for dinner and to watch the world championship NER vs. ARG. Big TV on the wall and good audio. Even though it was late, we could order food and the bake was nice with spinach and a side of choice - side Salad. I really liked that I could somehow avoid eating fries or potatoes again and have a healthy choice without extra costs. We ordered Namibian beer (windhoek lager) which tasted better than the southafrican we had during the last days (sorry guys..). Game went into overtime and even penalties and we left minutes before Load Shedding started. Nevertheless the staff was very friendly until the end and did not bother us to order all the time. Good experience although the ambience was a bit sterile because of the interior.

"Oh Wow" is all you'll be able to say for the first 10 minutes as you wander around. We've been going to Plett since forever and every time we tried to get here, for some reason or another they were closed - so bad timing on our behalf. Being in Plett in APR with more than a couple 'bad weather days' we scoured social media and found Ouland Royale, more specifically a post about their giantly decadent cinnamon buns and decided it was time to once again get here. As soon as you step inside you are transported from a dusty Plett farm road to a Parisienne countryside gem that would not be out of place in the heart of the Bordeaux wine farms. Thank goodness, when we arrived and could communicate again, there were two buns left, which was more than enough for the 4 of us. We were seated at the 'lounge' area with high back King & Queen chairs and chez longue's. Our 8 year old "fashionista" daughter could have spent hours in the little "va va voom" shop with dresses, jackets, hats, bags, masks and sequins galore, all from a by-gone era but still stylishly elegant today. Cinnamon buns were indeed as good as we'd hoped as were the coffee's and hot-chocolates. Do not miss the opportunity to visit, even just for coffee and cake or high tea. The lady / owner is always there, manning the kitchen (alone when we were there) so be sure to go and say "Hi" on your walk-about.

Fantastic unexpected out of the way gem. Lovely place for breakfast, opens at 0800h for beverages, kitchen opens at 0830h. Beautiful setting overlooking a valley and pond. Stuffed full of random old oddities. Go early, gets busy.

An amazing discovery on driving past the Plettenberg Bay Airport. A short gravel drive off the tar, to make an amazing discovery. Very different & "1920s" atmosphere. Excellent daytime menu for breakfast, lunch , scones & cakes menu! Just do it!

This has been our third visit to Ouland. Our initial experience was delighful, which made us go back. Today's visit was disappointing to say the least. The quality of the scones was substandard as they were crumbly and dry with hardly any jam. The croissant with chocolate ganache was small and over-priced with substandard chocolate. The crossaints were served on an old saucer. The large cappuccino that I ordered arrived in a small cup and when I reminded our waitress of my initial order, I was told that it wasn't her fault as she placed the correct order but the barrister got it wrong. No offer to change it. Unfortunately this experience ruined it for us and it was an embarrassment as our guests had such high expectations, which were sadly not met.

Your usual Mung and bean . The food was tasty and so was the drink which was nice for a hot day. Very tasty salad 🥗 with blue cheese 🧀. The staff were decent and friendly Only downside was we had to wait quite while just for a small salad 🥗 but maybe as it was during the taxi strike the kitchen was short staffed...other then that would of given it 4 stars .

Mixed feelings on our experience, if you’re a nachos lover, their version will not satisfy you, they basically lay a bag of nacho chips on the plate then add bottled salsa and canned beans on together with the other ingredients, the dish lacked freshness. For cleanliness I have to rate a poor score because the floor wasn’t clean enough and still had food from previous customers under the table. We enjoyed the cappuccino, mocha latte and hot chocolate. Our burger, chicken strips and chicken livers were very delicious. Our waiter just needed to be so much more, didn’t even thank us for the R50 tip, maybe it wasn’t enough although we would have tipped more for friendly, enthusiastic service.

Wanted to order take away coffees, had to ask 3 staff to assist us, realising there are only 2 waiters. One gentleman was very short and standoffish when orders were placed. So disappointing as Mug and Bean is always a winner!

The meal I ordered was great. The service was acceptable since 2 kitchen staff had walked out and the manager had to jump in to do the barista staion and the barista had to assist in the kitchen.

This incident happened in December .. I asked a waiter for a coffee milkshake made with double espresso to take away. The water pulled a face at this and told me that it sounds disgusting. So I left, never to return again. This same waiter has been there for a long time, his attitude matches the general service of this Mugg and Bean outlet which is also in dire need of an upgrade, not only in premises but also in the quality of the staff employed there, the service they offer, and the food and beverage preparation and presentation. This is Plett for goodness sake … the Feeling is not in this M&B at all.

Mugg &Bean Plett the worse customer service ever experienced! Had to ask several people before someone was willing to attend to us just to order a takeway coffee. Takeway coffee station very dirty and untidy. Staff members argued in front of customers and a very stinky attitude of person who eventually helped us. Not a welcoming feeling when you walk in.Never again. After a long drive this is not what I had in mind from a well known place like Mugg & Bean.Trust me, rather drive further to get some decent service.

Good pizza resturant. Nice sitting area inside and outside. One of the best South Africa-origin pizza resturant. Delicious and hot pizza. Friendly staff. Plenty of setting tables and chairs (bigger than much of other Debonairs Pizza resturants).

The service was so great and quick, l was helped with Asanda Landu....she was very kind and so welcome .. ...the triple decker l bought it was so delicious and worth every penny

When I eventually got through to the local branch I was told “it’s on its way we had an oven problem” did not realise you needed an oven to fry a hamburger patti???

Worst car wash I’ve ever encountered. Paid for a bakkie and caravan “spray off”. Not even a 5 minute affair with some areas not even getting a drop of water. Haven’t been ripped off like this in a long time! Not to be recommended?

My wife came with the Intercape bus this morning. They arrived about 3h00 am.She lost her wallet in the parking lot. We only discovered that in the morning at home.We phoned the Site Manager and he said they found a wallet.When we arrived at Shell we got the wallet and some other stuff of her.Not a single cent was missing.Great honest service. Good and clean. Fast and friendly service. Great place to fill up and grab supper at the same time. I have never received service like this from a petrol station. Busie and Andy went out of their way to find something for us that was not on the shelves. To the point that Busie came out the back literally shaking from the cold of the fridge. It is beautiful when people go out of their way to give you exceptional service. WOW! Thank you for making my experience incredible. I've had a great service experience with the attendants David and Thomas on my visit 17April 2021. David really are a great promoter of these bussiness. Though after a 12 hour shift I've still find these guys doing great customer service. As a Shell Manager myself i have to compliment these guys for doing a great job... Well done

The view is beautiful, which is the only good thing about this hotel, so I’m giving it two stars. The hotel itself is old and worn down, nothing like the pictures. It’s overpriced, noisy, and humid. The staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly. It’s definitely not worth the price. We didn’t feel comfortable at all and were relieved when we could finally leave.

Stayed for 3 nights on our honeymoon trip and absolutely loved it. The staff were so lovely, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very welcomed. The room was beautiful, such breathtaking views of the sea and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious, cold and hot food included, and the one dinner we had in the restaurant was great. No complaints and would highly recommend.

Very basic rooms with the sea view on the ground floor the windows were very flimsy and felt insecure. The staff, other than one-off the waiters, were not very friendly or attentive and there wasn't anything around the hotel to walk to.

Yet another beautiful beach along the garden Route... don't forget to carry sunscreen ... there are good restaurants next to the beach and adequate parking.

Good stretch of beach. Nice to go to during the autumn and winter months when you wish to go out on a sunny day, but don't want to be too close to the ocean with your water-loving toddler. They have lifeguards on the beach if you wish to take a swim and there's a restaurant you can visit also.

Spectacular beach with endless views over the bay. Fine sand. Great waves! Find your very own pansy shells (tip: As they break easily, you will find them during low tide)! You can overlook the entire bay of beauty and lookout beach from La Vista Lodge like nowhere else.

Pristine beauty with lagoon, estuary (Keurbooms River) and distant mountain views (Tsitsikama). A "must walk" and look out for rare pansy shells unique to the area.

Lookout beach is a great alternative to Central or one of the Robberg beaches. The Beach is easily accessible from lookout parking or parking area near milkwood manor and its typically a little quieter in busy times. Walks from parking on the beach are quite long though. Lovely walk up to mouth.

We stayed at 11 River Club for 3 nights during June. We had a fairly comfortable stay. We found the place very clean which was a bonus. Unfortunately, there are serious matters needing attention from the owners. 1. The oven is rusty and does not cook the food properly. Rust is extremely toxic when heated and toxic to ones health. This oven needs to be replaced. 2. The fridge make a very loud noise 24 hours a day. We found it difficult to sleep with all the noise it continuously makes. 3. The couch in the lounge, you are unable to sit on it without falling into a hole. The bathroom towels, only one towel per person. During winter and rainy seasons, there should be at least 2 towels per person. With no tumble dryer to assist in drying the towels, we were constantly drying ourselves with wet towels.

Nice gated estate near to the beach. The only missing things would be a little store inside the area (or a notice that the butcher and bakery are right over the street) and maybe one more gate with direction to the ocean. The personal is friendly and welcoming and all houses look good serviced (from the outside)

Very quiet complex Unit is fresh and clean and well appointed with everything you would have in your own home. Stairs to upper unit a bit challenging but that is because we are elderly Highly recommended!

We have been visiting and staying at River Club every year since 2006, except for 2020 (due to COVID-19 constraints). Generally for our three week annual vacation. We always stay at 26 River Club Villas aka "A Minnow". Great facilities. Always an "excellent, comfortable and relaxing stay". Good value for money and you cannot go wrong.

Stunning, secure, walking distance to the beach and shops. Amenities include two squash courts, a tennis court and a pool. Lovely boardwalk to enjoy a riverside stroll.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended for large groups of people for the houses have a lot of bedrooms. Only flaw is the prices. Recommended to stay in April holidays.

Unit 26. comfortable and adequate for a short stay. River Club Estate is ideally situated in Piesang Valley close to swimming beaches. The estate is well managed spotlessly clean offering a pool and tennis courts

Wow, what an amazing place, a crazy experience, Jean-Claude was an amazing guide who explained things to the children and brought excitement and joy to them. The boat ride was crazy, as was the swimming with seals, perfect.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. We booked online super simple. Staff so welcoming and friendly. We had our safety briefing and off we went - short walk to the boat. The drive out to see was fun! We found whales instantly. We spent a good amount of time observing a mating trio of two males and a female. I got some amazing photos. We also saw several mother and calves (have to stay 100m from them by law) but we could still see them. The guides were so knowledgeable! Thrilling acceleration back to land and onto shore! Worth every penny! I will be doing again!

Excellent morning out. Saw some Dolphins and Seals. Not expecting to see whales at this time of year although some were spotted the previous day. Very knowledgeable team onboard

We had a brilliant time. PK is a brilliant guide who is extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we saw a whale on a tricky day weatherwise. Would highly recommend (I know that the rival company on the same day saw no whales).

Unfortunately unprofessional! We booked a whale watching online. At 08:04 they informed us, that the have to less guest for our trip at 13:00 and asked if we could join the 11:00. I told that it will be difficult because of the distance, but I shifted a lot of things. Due to their delay it should only start at 11:30, so I confirmed at 10:22. I pushed the whole family to be in time. On the road I got the message at 10:51 that it's cancelled because of weather, but the skipper will try it a little later and at 10:57 they cancelled completly. So a 100 km trip is done for nothing and even for the refund you have to wait. It's gone in seconds and will need several days to come back. Due to the fact that the weather doesn't look so bad, we doing now our trip now again with our whale watchers in Knysna. Only to make sure, I'm not complaining, because they cancelled. I'm complaining about the way. The want to fill the boats and don't care if you lose time and money because of your efforts that you've to make.

This review would have had a higher rating if it wasn't for the attitude of the woman signing us in. We were booked on the 12pm trip but received a message at 8.30am the day of the trip asking if we could arrive at 9.30am which we couldn't. I phoned the number and was asked to be at the meeting point for 11am. On arrival the woman signing us in said with an attitude that we were very early. I replied we had been asked to turn up at 11am to which her reply was ... " you should have been here for 9.30 " I told her we weren't given enough notice and quite honestly her attitude made me really annoyed and I nearly told her to cancel the whole thing but I decided to walk away and hope the trip improved. I have no idea why we were asked to arrive at 11am considering the boat was still out on the earlier trip. We actually set off at 12 as originally scheduled so the message we got about going early because of the high tide was obviously a load of rubbish. Anyway - we were introduced to PK our guide and given life jackets and taken to the boat. PK and the skipper were really knowledgeable and explained about the different types of whales and the issues with the Orcas. After a short time out at sea we spotted our first HumpBack. We kept a good distance but had a fantastic view. We saw 4 humpback ( 2 mothers and 2 babies ) we stayed with them for about 30mins watching them blow and rising out of the water then diving down. After leaving the whales we made our way to see the Cape fur seals along the coast. There were hundred of them. It was great to see. Overall we had a really great experience. I'd just say the signing in woman needs to check her attitude!

Very quiet in a busy town. Excellent calamari and chips. In fact one of the best. Felt rushed by staff but service attentive. Tom yum soup fabulous. What annoyed us was being charged full price for ‘kids’ calamari and chips (R180 each). We then complained and were charged R118. There was no kids menu and price was not flagged. Manager was not interested. Kids meals usually around R60-R80. No WiFi that kids could use which is not a must at all but is a benefit for parents who want children to be quiet/settled for other patrons. Amazing view. This place could be a goldmine if more flexible.

Good food, cocktails, company, venue. Everyone in the group had a fabulous meal. Steak, curry, schnitzel, salmon pasta. Perfection. Good value too!

The food was good! Except for the tick (creepy crawly fried insect) in the chips. Not being allowed to pay corkage for a really good bottle of wine (despite speaking to the rude owner) disappointing - bought two overpriced bottles of wine off the menu! Service was good! Your restaurant is quiet in a bustling town…. Because of your attitude!

We had the appartment here. It was nice everything you need even a washing machine and dryer. The terrace was pretty big also the rooms are. 2 nice bathrooms. This was the perfect apparment to stay. View on the sea (located on the beach). All restaurants nearby. You can't have a better location. The breakfast did take very long to bake an egg, but it was good.

I happened upon this place, almost "by mistake". On a "going nowhere slowly" road trip, I arrived in Plett early evening and drove around looking for somewhere to stay for a night or two. Called the number on their board outside the hotel and voila! The best find EVER! It's across the road from the best swimming beach in Plett and surrounded by great restaurants; it's also a 3 minute drive to another plethora of restaurants on the main road. The staff are unbelievably kind, efficient, friendly and attentive! The rooms are spacious, bright and just so practical. Amazing, large, high-pressure shower. They have a generator for when loadshedding kicks in. The hotel has the feel of a boutique establishment without being pretentious, with fewer than 15 rooms. Their rates are unbeatable value for money and include a made-to-order hot breakfast as well as a buffet continental offering. And they have a wonderful coffee machine in the lobby, that is complimentary around the clock. Safe and plentiful parking. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.

This is a really well located accommodation facility. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are very modern, comfortable and spotless. Excellent breakfast served every morning too. I would highly recommend staying here if in Plett. Definitely one of the best places we stayed in during our three week trip to South Africa.

We stayed in room no. 4 and it was really relaxing. Quiet, comfy bed with ample space, shower was amazing with high pressure and an aircon for the hot nights. A generator helped when loadshedding kicked in, the staff are super friendly and really helpful and just a 5 min stroll down to the beach. Oh ja, the coffee is out of this world!!

Basically the BnB is clean (rubbish was not empty though) and does not smell bad. Nevertheless, we encountered a few problems. Let's start with our room. There were four of us in the Groote River Room. This looks blown down. You can tell the age of a lot of the furniture, it creaks and you can see the press marks. The mattresses are basically okay but still hard. Now to the big drawback of the room, on Booking.com it said kitchen included, but I still think that a kitchen should have a sink. But we didn't have one. The water pressure in the bathroom was good, but the shower head had calcified. During the night, the power also went off once and after it came on, the socket strips with our mobile phone chargers were without power but the TV with power and being woken up in the middle of the night by a loud TV is not pleasant. In addition, the water tap of the washbasin was falling off and turning it on with one hand was not an option. Finally, I would like to mention the high-speed internet, which was a great 2m/bits (slow) maximum in the room, but I also saw 0.06 m/bits with an internet speed test.

Great backpacker’s accommodation! Our room was clean and well-equipped and Debbie was super helpful. The location is also great with good access to Plett’s city-life as well as further afield activities.

Felt most unwelcome. My taxi driver was even asked to leave the premised while dropping me off! If you are looking for a relaxing stay, I do not recommend. The gas stove and tap was faulty. Even though they claim non contact checkin, we felt monitored throughout.

Brilliant hostel with everything you need. Simple amenities. We spent 5-nights here and everything was clean, tidy and well kept. There’s a bar and balcony areas to enjoy a beer outside and it’s walking distance from a high-street full of restaurants, coffee shops and various stores. The hosts were great and very friendly. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

We had a truly memorable stay at Ocean Watch Guest House. The location is ideal - just a short walk to the nearest beach and within easy reach of excellent restaurants, shops, and attractions - yet the atmosphere remains peaceful and serene. The views across the bay are breathtaking, and the guest house itself is elegant and beautifully decorated with thoughtful attention to detail. Every corner of the property was spotlessly clean and inviting. Vanessa, the manager, along with her wonderful team, made us feel so welcome. Their friendliness and helpfulness were much appreciated. Mornings began with delicious breakfasts that were the perfect way to start each day. We can’t recommend Ocean Watch highly enough. It’s a gem in Plettenberg Bay and we look forward to returning!

Great location close to the city center, nice service, and great view from the upper terrace. Breakfast is fair and consists of a small buffet and freshly served eggs (bread, yoghurt etc.) Our room was rather small and dark, but the price-performance ratio was good.

Clean and very comfortable place. Vanessa and team were so friendly and hospitable. The fact that they remember small details like what your plans were for that day, or how you like your eggs in the morning was so meaningful. Nice shared space, pool, deck, and incredible views. We were in the “Captains” room which had a very large bathroom and generously sized bedroom. Safe and secure parking, great breakfast, walking distance to restaurants and beach.

We had a fantastic stay in Vanessa’s lovely Guest house. Vanessa and her staff couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a relaxing, comfortable and special stay. Our room had beautiful views of the pool & Plettenberg bay and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We would highly recommend and would stay again the next time we visit Plettenberg Bay. A very comfortable stay. The rooms and communal areas are spotlessly clean. You get a very warm welcome. Easy access to the beach with good restaurants an easy walk away.

We had a good stay in the Ocean Watch Guest House. The view on Plett is amazing, location is very good (walking distance from the main street), staff friendly and the rooms are clean. We were just unfortunate that we booked the Rose Room and this room is just too small and doesn’t have any A/C. So make sure you book the right room (with a view) if you want to stay here!

Nicely decorated hotel, beautiful views and a nice host. Downsides are the price (we paid 2.5k rand a night for the shell room) for a very small room, breakfast is decent and when we left for the day I left the towels on the floor. When we came back we found the same towels hung up rather than replaced.

Complex with 122 Flats, pet friendly, with permission, dogs must be on leash if on communial property, speed limits, noise limits, safe, security at gate, swimming pool with rules for safety, marked parking for each unit. Beautiful kept garden!

Place is beautiful, clean and quite , I really enjoyed my stay there

Parking very cramped and very few visitors parking. We have a double cab and have dented our vehicle many times going in and out of the cramped parking as the undercover parking has wooden poles all over the place and you may not swop with another resident. Not pet friendly. You are being watched all the time to make sure you do not "Break rules". Units are nice though and good security. Looks beautiful, but is disappointing.

I think this complex would get a higher rating if there were than just a handful of visitor parking spaces. Very cramped complex but still has a nice vibe to it, if that makes sense? Haha.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Long Story Guesthouse, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The place is beautifully maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was top-notch, thanks to the exceptional staff, particularly Evans and his lovely colleague. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality and kindness made us feel right at home, and how can I forget the most important one lol the cat (didn't get the name) lovely a sweetheart. I'd highly recommend Long Story Guesthouse to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. Five stars aren't enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed 5 nights at Long Story and it was a dream. The room was very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. The location was perfect -- the beach is just a 5 minute walk and you must check out MacNut Cafe for coffee and snacks! Lastly, the service... I cannot speak highly enough about the service that Evans and Colnes provided throughout our stay. They were very communicative, reachable in-person and via WhatsApp. They prepared beautiful, healthy breakfasts each morning. They provided laundry service and a thorough house keeping service throughout our longer stay. We were truly cared for. Thank you for making our first visit to Plett unforgettable.

We booked this place for a two night break with friends from Ireland. Really impressed. Lovely staff who looked after us. A great swimming pool and honesty bar. Fabulous breakfasts. We were able to walk to the main Roberg beach.

To cut a Long Story short, this guest house is an absolute incredible find. Chereen, Evans and her team have created an oasis and they go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Everything from their hospitality to the décor, location and breakfast is perfection. I would highly recommend staying at the Long Story when visiting Plettenberg Bay for a holiday or for business.

Just spent a glorious 3 nights at Bayside. Location is within walking distance to the beach. Adrienne and Bernie are wonderful hosts with a wealth of knowledge and always ready to assist with questions on the area or recommendations for restaurants etc. Lucille makes a yummy cooked breakfast every morning with delicious freshly made pancakes as an added surprise. Pool was sparkling and so refreshing. I am already planning my next getaway at Bayside in Plett.

Very comfortable accomodation in a quiet location in Plett. Great location. An easy walk to the beach. Adrienne and Bernie were terrific hosts and went out of their way to make my visit pleasant. They recommended restaurants and were able to advise me on various hikes..

We had a very comfortable stay at Bayside Lodge in the self catering cottage. The cottage is well equiped and cosey, clean and fresh. It has a heater, under carpet heating and electical blankets to protect you from the cold winter. It even has a ceiling heater in the bathroom! The kitchen/living room is very well layed out and comfortable. There is an outside patio with a braai for the cottage use. It is situated a short walk to the beach and close enough to shops. We had a super time with the hosts Bernie and Adrienne who were very friendly and helpfull with all our requirements and knowledge of the area. A super visit and highly recommended.

A lovely, accessible braai area with wood and firelighters supplied. A lovely small pool and a beautifully maintained garden. Pet-friendly and securely enclosed. Central enough to make the Plett hub a quick drive, but far enough away from the busy-ness to be quiet and peaceful. Our hosts gave us great ideas for restaurants and fishing tips. They are such good people who really spoil their guests! We loved every minute of being there! Thank you so much Peter and René! 💙

They personally prepared and served our breakfast each day and also spent some time chatting with us Breakfast: Good, nicely prepared and served at a time of our convenience. The compound: neat and well maintained I liked the library too but I didn’t ask if you can borrow a book since I had mine, but the hosts are good people and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind lending out a book for the duration of your stay. I definitely recommend this place!

I only spent 1 night, but had an amazing experience! The place is a little oasis in Plett, and the hosts are the best, so warm & welcoming. I didn't have a car and Peter went out of his way so that I could make the most of my short stay, giving me rides to Robberg Island and around town. Room was spotless, very comfy & good wifi. I will come back & stay longer next time!

Staying at 113 Robberg for 4 nights, hosts Peter and his wife Rene can't do enough for us. Food is top quality and served to suit our needs. Giving us lots of advice on where to visit and recommending numerous restaurants to eat in.

Called to find out about availability and owner was quite rude and just dismissed me when I simply asked if there’s availability. No stories. A plain, “unfortunately we are fully booked” would’ve been kind and straightforward to a prospective client of yours. Basic customer service.

The loveliest stay of our trip to South Africa was right here. A nice safe locale. The host was a kind elderly couple. They gave us a fabulous room which was just mind blowing. It had its own big balcony from which we could see the Plettenberg bay. They also have a well equipped kitchen where you're seated during the breakfast to give a fabulous view of the Plett. The only regret was not staying there longer.

We enjoyed a very comfortable overnight stay at this lovely property along the garden route. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a nice outdoor patio overlooking the hillside. From check in to check out, the staff was very friendly and helpful and made sure we were comfortable. We had a very nice breakfast as we chatted with the owner. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We were treated like royalty. The staff is friendly, professional and very welcoming. Our room had a gorgeous view, was spacious, sparkling clean and the decor was warm and inviting. The room had everything and more that we needed - mini fridge, coffee station, comfortable bed, and litlle extras like a hairdryer and more. Breakfast was excellent. The location of the Guesthouse is perfect - quiet, but close enough to walk to the shops. We would like to thank Danie and his team for making our stay comfortable and very special. Don't be fooled by the size of this hotel, it is indeed small but their service is excellent! Rooms are well equipped with a mini fridge, two water bottles (first day), hairdryer, coffee press machine and a kettle. Instructions are very well given upon arrival and you can also make use of their communal kitchen and laundry machine (please not you have to pay extra to use the drying machine), but they also have space for you to hang your clothes, so not a biggie. Breakfast was amaaazing, really tasty and the kitchen/breakfast room offers a beautiful view of the city. Rooms were not big at all, but extremely comfy and quiet, the view from the room is also amazing. Staff were incredible from checkin to check out! This hotel exceeded my expectations and is better than many 5 star hotels.

This place comes highly recommended. I celebrated my 61st birthday with my sister. The ambiance and the scenery topped it for me. Spent three days simply relaxing and enjoying the views, peace and tranquility of this self catering establishment. Very close to all amenities and within a very safe 24 hr manned entry / exit control within the golf estate. The small management team made sure we were comfortable and very friendly towards us. Definitely on our “to return list”

Superlative and ultimate calm resting place for those whio need a base in Pleetenberg region, just off N2 en route to Tstiskama. Excellent clean facilities- swimming pool, kitchen, lounge, bbq and of course rooms. The view over the bay is beautiful and has its own private walkway to the lagoon. Its located within a secure enclosed golf course. However the icing on the cake is the owner Kasia, who shows unbelievable kindness, care and attention, as she ensures you arrive safely and then will advise you on all things local depending on your needs and requests. She subsequently regularly checks in with you to make sure your trip is hassle free. So strongly recommend you stay here you wint be disappointed.

Room is average Common area is below average Pool is lovely WiFi didn’t work once in 4 days. We had to buy and use extra data. We thought the common tv room area would have a tv with a working HDMI but it was outdated and didn’t work. If you a foreigner wanting to have easy access to internet. This is not the place for you

Brother and I had a bad telephonic experience with Gail. Super rude! We have found better accommodation, you can keep it Gail. We do not recommend staying here.

Great serene surroundings, quiet and private. Clean rooms and facilities. Lovely rustic decor and furniture. Enjoyed seeing an old wood stove and heater again. Green vegetation all around, pleasant touch with nature. Recommendations: Hot water system needs to be upgraded. We slept with open doors, locks were dysfunctional. No one to orientate and settle us in or to answer questions. No information available regarding menus, price list and the like. Add small touches, e.g. disposable toothbrushes, razors and the like, for the forgetful guest.

We had the best time here. It's perfect for a big group. It caters for diverse interests, very close to the river, town, hikes etc. Big garden with great bird life. Lovely outside entertainment area. Very friendly and efficient staff. We loved it and we will be back.

What a let down. Supposedly wheelchair friendly but sadly their photos are deceiving. Prime spot, on a golfing estate (although one isn't looking onto the course), but it's dreadfully outdated. TV didn't work, so were the curtains & the owner uses foul language. The only thing that was going for it was the roll-in shower. It suited more for backpackers, we won't be going back.

Rainer and his wife are excellent hosts. The B&B is very clean, nice and the pool / bar area is perfect for relaxing and getting in contact with other guests or Rainer. In fact Rainer is the best story teller of the world, simply because he has almost seen the whole world during his travels. We even stayed with him at the pool bar until 3 am talking although the plan was only to grab a welcome drink. Thanks so much for the wonderful time we had with you - we simply can highly recommend this place in all manners!

I can only recommend the Lala Panzi B&B, not because of having been there (unfortunately), but because of excellent, timely and sustainable support received in an unfortunatel situation my wife and myself came in recently as a result of floodings in the area end of September 2023. As we could not reach the booked Lala Panzi B&B, they recommended us a reachable B&B, and were very supportive with the regulation of our existing booking. Looking forward to a stay there once the situation allows.

Unit 1 has the bathroom and toilet (with partial glass doors) in the bedroom. This was not disclosed to us beforehand. The smell in the room wasn't pleasant even though there were attempts to disguise the smell with diffuser bottles.

We had a fantastic stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was great and made for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The host was excellent — very quick to respond to any questions and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Amazing !!! We only stayed one night but it was a lovely place and would be perfect for a group of 4-5. The place is self cater so if your wanting a tasty breakfast u will have to go to nearby restaurant, the room had a private hot tub and sliding gates. The two owners are friendly couple who helped us book an evening meal at the delicious FAT FISH restaurant in town.

The host is super sweet. The kitchen is completely kitted out with everything you might need. Its right on the beach, and they have loads of activities/equipment for you to use free of charge. -sup boards -cannoes -mountain bikes Smart TV in your room, wifi and a inverter for loadshedding. I was a bit dissapointed that there was no bath, but definitely not a deal breaker. Great accommodation for a family, and close to all amenities.

They restocked coffee, tea and water bottles as needed. Most importantly, the owners are lovely and friendly and it was a pleasure to stay by them. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Bliss in the Bay. The room was neat, tidy and spacious. The host was very friendly, warm and helpful. I have been trying to speak to Kirsty at bliss in the bay with regards to parking at the above premises you cannot get hold of Kirsty any time of the day or night by the the way they don’t tell you on the website that when you come with a car you have to park out side the guest house they also cannot guarantee your car safety ..Kirsty is not very accommodating she just wants you to make the deposit towards the accommodation and not answer any of my questions thank god she showed her true colors before I made payment . make the necessary enquirers before making payment

Bliss is a 2-5min walk to the beach and in the other direction to the Spar, Tops and restaurants. The property is safe, the rooms (includes a family room) are nice and neat and I was very impressed with the continental breakfast. The owners are friendly and very accommodating. Definitely consider it!

This little estate in Plett is just perfect . It's safe and close to the beach and the security guard always wanting to have a chat while he keeps a beady eye on things.

Everything was nice and tidy, the breakfast was good but the overall price/quality wasn't what I expected. The rooms all have window towards the pool, so you have to close your curtains or you have no privacy. And you can hear all noise from your room. Ml

We went to Bon App during our trip along the garden route and we were staying at Amakaya Backpackers (disappointing by the way). the person who, using words, designed the menu and made it as descriptive as possible made this place a wonderful experience and I enjoyed asking the waiter, who was wonderfully accommodating by the way, some questions to clarify. I ordered the "BRILLIANT VEGAN BHAJI BURGER", which is a burger that was not designed to be eaten by hand, but by a using a fork, the burger "buns - if i could call them buns" - were made of steamed sweet potato slices and that was really good. For dessert, I ordered the "Spicy love", a chocolate cheesecake with a spicy chocolate sauce and it was divine. If you ever find yourself in Plett, please don't miss this place because I know I would come again - if not for the food, definitely for the ambiance and hospitality.

Had wonderful breakfasts here as well as my birthday dinner. Archie went to great lengths to arrange the most decadent chocolate cake and set up the table beautifully. Food is consistently great. DOG FRIENDLY...my English Bulldogs got treats and water everytime we arrived,

The venue is very nice, the service of waitress almost to good that is starts to irritate...but when you go to a restaurant it is about the food. The hamburger cost R145 for that you expect a gourmet burger....not what we received. Yes it was a handmade patty, but R145 for a burger just with patty as topping, no sauce, no nothing? Not even fries??? Crazy. If you would like bacon and avo on burger it will cost R40 extra and chips another R35. R220 for a HAMBURGER and chips??? Are they mad? The burger also taste "green". The basil (I think) was way to much, you could not taste the meat. It taste like a vegetarian burger. I ate the pork rib, if I am right it was R145 on special (or maybe R155) for 400g with no extras like salad and chips. The price was "ok", but with chips and salad it would have cost R225 for 400g of rib (other restaurants do 400g for the small portion and 800g the mens portion), taste was interesting... but not what I expected. Also to much herbs in it. I could not finished it, it started to choke me. The menu is also to time consuming, if a waiter is needed to explain your menu (I did not ask her, but when she started I could understand why), you know there is a problem. Pictures is food on a normal size plate.

Amazing dining experience at good prices! I had the stir fry!! Amazing!! My other comerades had Ribs, Burgers & Lamb- the lamb and burgers were a hit! Also met the chef, team went extra mile with giving us a blanket & offering the heater.

Best breakfast I’ve ever had! Eggs Benedict superb & great value for money. Homemade Ice Teas & Coffee excellent. I can’t tell you how impressed I am by both quality and price. I’ll be back ASAP!
