Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar is a trendy and upscale spot located in downtown St. Louis, offering a sleek and stylish space with an extensive beer and wine selection. The bar boasts a serious beer list with over 50 options, including local brews, regional American craft beers, and classic Belgians. The ambiance is described as dark and romantic, making it a popular choice for dates or a more upscale night out.
This place was great! We were in St. Louis for a volleyball tournament, and we assumed everywhere would be packed. We discovered Bridge, had little wait to be seated, and the experience was wonderful! The food was amazing, the beer list was interesting and delicious, and our server John was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel very welcome. We had a great time, and the decor and atmosphere were lovely. Thank you, and hopefully we are able to come back soon!

If you’re looking for the perfect blend of modern rustic charm and an incredible drink selection, look no further than Bridge Taphouse & Wine Bar in downtown St. Louis! 🍷🍻 With 35 beers on tap and 50 different bottles of wine, there’s something for everyone! The ambiance is a gorgeous mix of wood and cement, with an upstairs balcony that overlooks the expansive bar. We kicked off our evening with a customizable charcuterie board, featuring the creamiest goat cheese and a delicious bison sausage—such a unique treat! 🍖🧀 For dinner, I enjoyed a tender chicken breast with a zesty lemon caper sauce and perfect mashed potatoes. Brandon went for the fettuccine with a creamy lemon sauce—both dishes just needed a dash of salt and pepper, and they were absolutely delicious! We also tried some amazing cocktails—I had the fruity “Beach Day” and Brandon loved the “All That Jazz.” We wrapped up the night with another round and a glass of wine, feeling completely satisfied. Overall, it’s perfect for date night, girls’ night, or even a family outing. Highly recommend checking out this gem. AND it’s a sister restaurant to Bailey’s Chocolate Bar!

My new favorite restaurant in St. Louis!!!! The GM is a pastry chef and - wow - the breads and cakes are incredible!! We were lured there by social media posting about Oktoberfest. The Bavarian Pretzel was so good and the brat was best I’ve ever had. The smell of the freshly made brat buns kept wafting out of the kitchen!!! The mustard was imported from Germany- also the best I’ve ever had. The airline chicken was perfectly cooked and I don’t think I’ve ever had smoother, more flavorful mashed potatoes. My favorite was the pacing of the meal. Sometimes it feels like restaurants are rushing you through to turn tables over (and sometimes if you’re headed to a show or something, that’s okay). Last night, dinner was the event so it was great to be able to relax and savor each dish. Their menu is expertly and intentionally crafted and changes with each season. We will definitely be back!

Warm welcome, polished setting, phenomenal draft and bottled beer selection and creative, delicious foods. The crew cared about their work and were genuinely kind and knowledgeable. Huge thanks to John, Malik and Mason for a fantastic evening in St Louis :)

This was our First visit will not be our last Visit! Started our eating pleasures with the freshly homemade Rosemary Focaccia a delectable you must try for yourself. Was served with homemade hummus, roasted garlic, and marinated olives, mouth watering. Tomato bisque was perfect! Our meals included, Special Scallops with Fettuccine, tasty Capanelle the asparagus, peas in the creamy lemon sauce was a delicious blend, Fettuccine with shrimp, & last Tomato Tartine. All portions were plentiful and staff very accommodating. Compliments to this chef this food was the superb! We live 2.5 hours from this location but we will return, definitely worth repeat visits! 12/21/24

Had a lovely New Year’s Eve dinner at the Bridge!! We ordered the Rosemary Focaccia, Beef Wellington, and the Fettuccine. Everything was wonderful but I would say a little salty for my taste (possibly because they’re supposed to be paired with wine). Rosemary Focaccia — The warm focaccia paired perfectly with the roasted garlic and hummus. Great appetizer! Beef Wellington — My bf’s personal pick was this dish. He especially liked the red wine sauce that came with it. Note: this dish was part of the New Year’s Eve special menu Fettuccine — Very delicious! I especially liked the sweet drop peppers in the dish. To note, the fettuccine is customizable with tomato or alfredo sauce, we went for the latter. It was more of an oil based alfredo than a cream base than we expected but nonetheless delicious. P.S The scallops were amazing, but I don’t think they are part of the original dish (possibly just added as we were the last customers).

Such a cute space! Mason and his staff are incredible and so friendly!! The food is wonderful with an amazingly curated drink list (especially the wine)!!

Mediterranean restaurant
OLIO is a laid-back wine bar located in a stylishly renovated service station, offering Mediterranean small plates. The 90-year-old Standard Oil gas station has been transformed into an inviting space with tall windows and a refurbished facade of red and white tiles. Inside, the warmly lit interior features exposed brick and weathered wooden shelves, creating a charming atmosphere. Guests can choose to sit at the bar, along the front windows, or at freestanding tables in the garage bay.
Delicious Middle Eastern / Mediterranean dishes served with an American feel. We sampled a variety of plates on a Saturday evening, arrived without a reservation and were seated immediately. Both inside and outside have unique signs of an old garage, maintaining quite a few original features. All the plates we ate were excellent and are best shared between the table. We'd recommend the babaganosh and fire carrots! Servers were friendly and helpful, and met all our needs. Non alcoholic drinks menu is small but good enough. All other cocktails, wines, beers are plentiful.

Awesome, awesome experience. Made a last minute reservation when another place let us down, and now I'm glad they did because this was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, the Chef has some really unique and delicious pairings in the flavors. The ambiance was also great - we sat outside and the landscaping was great. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and responsive. I really can't say anything bad about this experience. Definitely with checking out.
Nathan B — Google review
The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the deluxe lamb, which came on a bed of hummus, and I added the toasted almonds on top of it. Also got the grape leafs.. let me tell you. The balance of sweet, savory, and tart was out of this world- definitely my favorite item. The baklava definitely tasted like someone's grandmother was making it fresh in house.- to die for amazing flavor.
Mohammad C — Google review
This place was exactly what I was looking for. I love Mediterranean food and they hit the mark on every single thing we ordered. I was very happy and enjoyed every bite. I don’t think there is anything on the menu that isn’t good! The patio was very comfortable and had lots of cool plants. Just be aware the kitchen is small and some things can take a little longer when it’s busy, but it’s totally worth it. I am already planning my next visit and all the other things I want to try.
David M — Google review
Lovely atmosphere and inspired, albeit overpriced, menu. Dolmas are very good. Basic hummus is pretty, nice texture, but rather bland. Cocktails are quite nice and worth the price. Overall a nice afternoon.
Kristina D — Google review
My husband and I came to Olio for a date night and we had such a great experience! They happened to have a wine tasting happening while we were there and we had a great time enjoying the wines as well as chatting with the featured vineyard owners. The servers were friendly and cheerful. The food was so so delicious. My husband and I split the deluxe hummus, the bruschetta toast and the egg salad toast and it was more than enough for the both of us. I also got the ginger spritz which was really refreshing. We left full and satisfied! Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends next time.
Devinee S — Google review
A casual Mediterranean place with a green touch! Great selection of flavored gourmet food with on site grown herb. Carefully selected amalgam of spices will leave long lasting impression on your palate. The beet salad and Kings humus with warm pita bread are essential for starters. Would recommend adding Anchovy to egg salad, otherwise it can be bit bland. The portion size are small but adequate. Garden/patio seating in evening is worth to explore. Music can be at times loud but goes with the vibe. You are well cared by the servers and they can come up with creative drink recommendations. Eco friendly eatery with recyclable bowls used as serving dishes. Oh, and don’t forget to indulge in the awesome Baklava!!
Vikas K — Google review
overall was a good spot for outdoor dining. they do have vaccine requirement for indoor dining. olives and pickled vegetables and babaganush were good. the deluxe humus was also nice egg salad was unique with some lemon zest on top portions are so so sized, but pretty filling did seem to be busier with one server for a wing on the outside

Nestled in a cozy corner, 33 Wine Shop & Bar is the perfect blend of an intimate wine shop and a relaxed bar atmosphere. With its charming brick-accented patio reminiscent of New Orleans courtyards, this hidden gem invites you to unwind with an impressive selection of wines and beers. The food menu, crafted by talented chefs Nhat Nguyen and Remy Javed from Khana, features delightful dishes inspired by Pakistani and Southeast Asian flavors—ideal for pairing with your favorite drink.
Great place to kick back and enjoy an excellent selection of wine. Laid back and friendly atmosphere Great service and interesting menu. Had an interesting conversation with Jim, one the partners. Definitely will be back next time in St. Louis Highly recommended.

I stopped into 33 Wine Bar & Shop to check it out since I’m new to the area, and I’m so glad I did! The wine selection is fantastic, and they offer some great food options as well. Jessica took care of me, and she was absolutely wonderful. I happened to visit during a free tasting, which was a lucky surprise—I got to sample some delicious new wines! The space is quaint with a great ambiance, and even though it was full, it never felt crowded. The patrons all had good energy, which made the experience even better. I also noticed they host a lot of cool events, so I’m looking forward to checking those out. Excited to have this spot nearby—I’ll definitely be a frequent flyer!

Really enjoyed this place. The charcuterie and flatbread were made with great ingredients and a lot of care—everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The wine was excellent, and the tequila and cocktail options were a nice surprise. The patio was quiet and comfortable, perfect for a laid-back evening. Would absolutely come back.

This place is a must visit if you are in the area. Great wine bar with a wonderful staff. If you want to nerd out about wine or just have a casual glass to unwind. Their website for the bottle list is amazing, they really took the time to make it easy. They have a lot of classics but will have something for everyone. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great neighborhood wine bar ! Amazing selection of wines by the glass but their wines by the bottle list is outstanding! and they’re all available for purchase to go. The Owners Jessica & James are wonderful hosts, also checkout the cool backyard/patio area, I highly recommend, this place is a new favorite of mine.

Cute wine bar. Very knowledgeable bar tenders. They are very generous and let us sample 5 wines with large tastes. They have a beautiful and large patio. The charcuterie board was mediocre and quite stingy on the amount offered. The crackers where cheap water crackers that did not pair well with the the meat and cheese. This place is very expensive $$$$ for wine disproportionate to quality. You are definitely paying for ambience and a superb wait staff. I would return but just know what you are getting into.
Ben Y — Google review
I would venture to say that it is the best wine bar in town. The owners really make the experience. They now serve absinthe with the cool contraption in the picture. There is a fireplace in the back room and patio is also quaint on a summer's night

Sasha's on Shaw is a delightful wine bar and restaurant that invites you to unwind in its charming atmosphere. Nestled near the Missouri Botanical Garden, this cozy spot features an inviting year-round patio adorned with a stunning brick-and-wood wall showcasing an impressive selection of wines from around the globe, particularly Italian varieties. The menu offers a variety of delectable cheese plates, meat boards, and small tapas-style dishes perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying on a romantic date.
St. Louis is known for its neighborhood bars. This is that kind of setting. Great atmosphere and great food and great service. Beautiful indoor or outdoor dining. Happy hour only includes a couple wines. But a huge wine selection and full bar. The Goat cheese dip was really good. The trout salad was also really good.
Tom K — Google review
Margherita flatbread was phenomenal and service was exceptional. Reasonable prices and very soothing vibe for conversation. Bartender made a custom cocktail that slapped and the apple brown sugar crepe was delicious.

I’ve been to Sasha’s several times. Great wine selection! The food is also quite good. I’ve had the sandwiches and charcuterie.

Great indoor and outdoor dining. Wine, beer and full bar. Delicious brunch options. More than anything - outstanding service! They accommodated party of 9 on the Mothers Day Sunday for lunch, after calling them same day. While food was slightly delayed, they disclosed that and provided great services. You must try Nutella and Strawberry crepes.
Serge S — Google review
The food at Sasha’s was great. The service was amazing and I loved the outdoor seating. It’s a whole vibe and I’ll definitely be back.
Kimberly R — Google review
There were 3 of us on a BEAUTIFUL sunny Sunday for brunch. We were greeted about 5 minutes after we were sat. Ordered 2 BLTs and one chicken salad. It took over an hour for the food to arrive without explanation and we had empty mimosas and waters sitting on the table for over 15 minutes each time without anyone asking if we were alright. There were 5-6 tables on the patio the whole time we were there and a few people inside w/ two severs working, so they definitely weren’t overloaded or in the weeds. There was a group of girls next to us that had dirty dishes piled up on their table for 45 minutes. Now we know why such a great patio on a beautiful day was dead!. I brought two friends there because when I had gone over a year ago, it was an amazing experience with delicious food, cocktails, and amazing service with a great atmosphere on the patio. Such a shame to see how it’s gone downhill so badly. Will definitely not be returning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sasha’s on Shaw – A Perfect St. Louis Escape Sasha’s on Shaw is the kind of place that makes you want to linger. Start with the service—our Nordic server was not only attentive and friendly but also, let’s just say, not bad to look at. It made the whole evening that much more enjoyable. The cocktails? Absolute perfection—balanced, creative, and clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing. The wine selection is spot on too, with something for every mood and palate. We ordered the charcuterie plate to share, and it was exactly what we wanted: beautifully arranged, generous, and perfectly suited to our appetites without being overwhelming. If you can, sit outside. The patio is a gem, and enjoying it with a glass of wine in hand while soaking up that wonderful St. Louis weather is hard to beat. Sasha’s isn’t just dinner and drinks—it’s a vibe, and it’s one you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Super freaking cute! I've never been to a "wine bar" before as I've never had a wine I like & it just didn't seem like my thing, so I only came when invited by a friend. Now, I have to admit this place was really nice. As everyone else has said, it is the perfect date spot for sure, but you won't be ostracized for showing up in jeans & a tee like I did. Their food is pretty good, but don't expect big, "hearty" meals or crazy portion sizes. Service was wonderful, even as we got swapped between a few folks since were there a while (sorry! 😅😬). Perhaps a weird anecdote, but it was probably the highlight of my experience service-wise. I don't drink wine, only because I've never had one I like. I stuck with domestic beer here and was not teased or ostracized for it at all, by my server or other patrons! Not my usual kind of place but I felt super welcome just the same. Note: expect it to be just a little stuffy/muggy inside.

Cocktail bar
Fine dining restaurant
Planter's House is a chic establishment in St. Louis that offers elevated New American cuisine and expertly crafted cocktails in a stylish setting with brick walls and retro lighting. The venue pays homage to local history, named after the Planter's House Hotel where the first book on cocktails was penned by head bartender Professor Jerry Thomas in 1862. The VIP Bullock Room honors Tom Bullock, the first African-American to publish a cocktail book in 1917.
This place is a throwback to classic drinks and magnificent food offerings. The bartenders are knowledgeable and will help you find the right drink for you or make you what you like. The bourbon and whiskey offerings are vast, and some are unique. I recommend Purgatory and The Last Word classic pre prohibition drinks that are remarkable, to say the least. It's a good spot for a date or just a place to grab a drink and small bites alone. My bartender was Jeff, his knowledge and love for his craft go above and beyond epic. If you happen to go tell him, Lamont sent you. Enjoy!
Lonnie E — Google review
Went for happy hour dinner as one of our first stops in town. The burgers were both outstanding (the duck burger is just a bit more interesting in my opinion). The In a Pickle cocktail is hands down one of the best I've had (and we have our fair share of outstanding bars in Louisville)...this was signature drink material. If/when I am back, I will absolutely visit again.
Jonathan W — Google review
If you enjoy creative and well-done cocktails, Planter’s House is a great place to delight your tastebuds. The creative naming of these drinks is nearly as enjoyable whilst making your selections. :) Their food menu isn’t expansive, but I believe they focus on fewer items done especially well. I return often for their burger and fries. Sounds simple, but I’d still call it gourmet. Even the fries are magnificent with the option for a dill topping and a side of aioli, they are classically delicious! Besides, enjoying cocktails alongside a burger and fries? What could go wrong? Mmmm… On lovely afternoons and/or evenings, enjoy al fresco dining on their back patio. It’s especially appealing during evenings with their soft patio lighting. Consistent service and food makes this a place to return again and again. (Note: Planter’s House, please find room for the frozen drink machine and serve the Big O year around again!) 😋
Lisa W — Google review
Attentive service, expensive menu. Patio was closed when we were there, not sure why, but apparently that’s the place to sit for it. Average cocktail is $15 each, really good bartenders that guided us to good drinks.
Brent P — Google review
If anyone is looking for a dinner/cocktail/mocktail scene to check out—go to Planter’s House! The burger was devoured before I could take a pic 🍔 The birthday cake had us fighting spoons for the last bite 🎂 On top of the cocktail names being funny and clever (“I’m a Nightmare Dressed Like a Daydream” 😍) , it was SO refreshing and fun to have an experience where non-alcoholic drinks aren’t the three-item footnote at the end of the menu. Every restaurant has their variety of focus, so it was really fun to feel more included and having as much intrigue looking through the menu to find refined mock-tails to drink.
Haley H — Google review
came here with my partner to start off the night with some quality cocktails, & that's just what we got. Loved our drinks & the atmosphere- we did not order food this time; maybe next time!
Kylie A — Google review
Planter's House has always been one of those places on my radar but that I've never stopped in for. This changed this fall when my wife and I were at a work dinner. The reception ended early, and since we had a babysitter we weren't quite ready to go home. On her suggestion we stopped in at Planter's House for a drink on a Friday night around 9pm. I can't speak to the food as we didn't order anything, but I'll talk about the drink menu. This is what the restaurant is known for and man is there really list to choose from. The building itself is old, and you can feel that history seeping into the drink menu. Plenty of places have cocktails, here it felt like it was in the blood of the establishment. The cocktails really ran the gambit and many were things you don't see on typical menus. I would hate to be a new bartender here as you would really have to learn a ton of drinks quickly. The atmosphere of the place is enjoyable. The inside is modest, but there is a HUGE patio. I think Planter's House would shine the most on those spring or fall evenings where it is just pleasant to sit outside. There is also a good happy hour T-F (4-6) and one that also runs on Sunday. There are a couple drawbacks that kept me from giving the place five stars. Although the drink menu was extensive, the food menu is not. This could put you in a bind if you are wanting more than just drinks. This isn't a huge concern, but you should know this is a drink first sort of establishment. The mixed drinks we got also were just fine, not amazing. Given how elaborately they are detailed, there was quite a bit of hype leading up to them.

The overall vibe was relaxed and comfortable. Service was good. I expected more in terms of taste from the 'Fancy' drinks. Overall ok

Wine bar
Restaurant
Sasha's Wine Bar is a cozy and inviting spot that offers a variety of cheese plates and snacks to accompany their extensive wine list. Located in a serene residential neighborhood with outdoor seating facing a tranquil park, it provides the perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The French doors are often open, creating an indoor space with an outdoor ambiance. The bar takes safety seriously by implementing measures such as requiring masks on their socially distanced patio.
Last weekend, I enjoyed dining at this charming wine bar that completely captivated me with its delightful ambiance. As soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the vibrant energy that set the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. My friend and I decided to indulge in two bottles of red wine, eager to sample the distinct flavors from different vineyards; it was a fantastic way to elevate our experience. For my meal, I chose the crab cakes, and while they were divine, the portions were more of a tantalizing appetizer than a filling dish. On the other hand, my friend went for the luxurious Wagyu burger, which looked irresistible and surely satisfied her cravings. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a lively wine bar that pairs great drinks with a warm atmosphere. There's free street parking and a small lot next to the venue, but it's worth arriving early, as this place tends to get bustling with patrons eager to soak in the vibe!

Came for the second time with some friends. I get why it’s a popular spot! The wine selection is huge and the vibe is always nice. Great for date night or girls night to catch up. I always get the nonalcoholic rose and it’s so good. We sat outside this time with no wait which was great, but it was super hot. Still a nice atmosphere though! We started with the cheeseboard which was more on the basic side than I expected, but we still ate the whole thing. Also got a pizza, the brie sandwich, and another sandwich between all of us and everything tasted great and exactly how it was described in the menu. The service this time wasn’t the best. Our waiter brought the wrong food to our table and I ended up having to hand it to the table next to us myself after asking if it was theirs. He barely checked in on us and would only take a couple plates away even when the table was full of empty dishes. Not a huge deal but just felt kind of not taken care of. The other staff were so nice though I think they were managers and they were way more attentive. Cheesecake was pretty neautral and I wouldn’t get it again. Nothing was wrong, but nothing was extra about it. Maybe a little too soft. But the potato croquette bites that come as a side make me obsessed. So good!! It’s definitely on the pricier side, but I still like it overall. I’ll be back and next time I want to try the crepes again!

This is my favorite location of Sasha’s - it has an awesome patio, first and second floor/rooftop seating that is just, a total vibe. When it’s nice outside there is a small wait if you don’t have reservations but not too bad. The service is always excellent. The food is very close in comparison to the Sasha’s on Shaw; of course our favorite sweet wine to accompany. This location is relatively central in Clayton Delmar area but on a tight street, street parking might be hard to find. Overall, such an excellent option for a date night, girls night outs, just drinks, etc.

Sasha’s on DeMun delivers exactly what a neighborhood wine bar should: confident food, a thoughtful beverage list, and an easygoing patio vibe. The standout at my visit was the French dip—served on a crisp, well-toasted baguette with generously seasoned, tender roast beef. The au jus had real depth (beefy, not overly salty) and elevated every bite. Portion size was satisfying without being heavy, and the plating was tidy. Service was attentive and professional—waters stayed full, pacing was relaxed, and the staff knew the menu. The patio is comfortable for a leisurely lunch, and the marble-topped tables add a touch of polish. If there’s a quibble, it’s that the sandwich could use a small side (greens or fries) to round out the plate, but the quality of the main more than compensates. Overall, a reliable, classy spot for a casual meal or a glass of wine with elevated café fare. I’d happily return—especially for that French dip.

Our dining experience at this restaurant was rather disappointing. Although they offered an extensive selection of wines, the food was merely average. The service we received from our initial server was decent, but an unfortunate incident with another staff member left us feeling disconcerted. While I was still in the process of enjoying my meal, a lady abruptly approached our table and, without giving me sufficient time to respond, removed my plate and silverware despite there still being food on it. Strangely, she did not ask or remove plates from anyone else at the table. We found this behavior both confusing and off-putting. Feeling rushed and unsatisfied with the overall experience, we decided to leave the establishment. It's a shame that this incident overshadowed our meal, as we had hoped for a more pleasant and enjoyable time.

A cute little hidden gem with amazing local flavor and atmosphere! I really enjoyed my time here! The roast beef brisket sandwich is amazing with the perfectly toasted baguette and au jus dipping sauce!

Our server, Hannah, was amazing! My only issue was with the brisket sandwich I ordered. I know that’s a fatty piece of meet, but half of what was in the sandwich was gristle and fat! The French bread was very good.

Yellowbelly is a vibrant and modern gastropub that offers a tropical atmosphere, serving island-inspired seafood and craft cocktails. Opened in 2018 by Travis Howard and Tim Wiggins, the restaurant exudes Hawaii-meets-California vibes with its bright and open space.
WOW! An absolutely amazing experience at Yellowbelly. The drinks and food are superb, everything we tried was top notch. The cocktails menu is superb and we loved Yellowbelly, Tropical Old Fashioned and Lazy Tiger drinks. The food was super tasty, freshly prepared and wonderfully presented. Street corn taquitos, short rib, jerk chicken burger and spiced grouper were all fantastic. The service was fantastic too. Our server was prompt, accommodated all our requests and made some great suggestions. A must try place when you’re in the area. I can’t wait to go back and try some more items of their menu.

This place is awesome! It is very bright and open on the inside, and they have lots of fun, delicious cocktail options. We came for brunch, and we’re delighted to see a tasty looking breakfast sandwich, among other great options. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender, who was super friendly.

Love this place! And the drinks are realllllyyyy good, and cute! The environment takes you away from being in St. Louis for a while. It seriously makes you feel like you’re in a tropical place. Everyone wears unique beach looking shirts, and the drinks are of course, beachy! The music is diverse and groovy. And if you sit at the bar you’re bound to have a good conversation with the friendly bartenders. The food is unique and different, and please treat yourself to their own special shots. They’re purple and good. Try them!

I recently visited Yellowbelly for brunch as part of a monthly tradition with friends—and it absolutely delivered on flavor, creativity, and vibes. This spot has been on my list for a while, and I’m so glad we finally made it! The highlights? • Nashville Hot Fried Oysters – crispy, spicy, and seriously addicting • Lobster Enchiladas – rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced • Bottomless cocktails – we loved the mix-and-match options like mimosas, pineapple Thai basil, and grapefruit ginger shrub topped with cava 🍹 • Honorable mentions: the ceviche and steak & eggs—both top-notch The atmosphere was upbeat and stylish, and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. Perfect spot to linger over great food and real conversation. If you haven’t been to Yellowbelly yet, definitely add it to your brunch list. Had dinner here while traveling through St. Louis. The place is nicely decorated and open with glass all around for good street views. The vibe is very casual and upbeat with friendly service. We started with cocktails which were very good. I had the crab fritters, they were excellent but filled me up before dinner. Careful to eat to many. I then had the salmon in green Thai curry. The salmon was cooked perfect but the green Thai curry was the real hot. It was so flavorful. The rice was excellent as well, a very creative dish. My wife had the steak and said it was excellent. The dessert menu had great option but I was just to full to order. Service was very friendly, professional and attentive

Cocktail bar
Blood & Sand is a sophisticated establishment that offers creative cocktails and innovative New American dishes to its members and their guests. The venue has adapted to the current circumstances by providing takeout and delivery options, complete with wine pairings for two. They also showcase their offerings on social media platforms for easy access. Despite its exclusive membership option, the space is open to all, offering a red booth-lined dining room where visitors can enjoy tasting menus, à la carte food, or cocktails at the bar.
It's an amazing place in St. Louis. We went there for our anniversary and tried 10 course tasting meal. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about both the food and wine. The bartenders really know what they doing, I had some amazing cocktails. You will not leave hungry with the tasting menu. Overall one the best meals I have had in the area!

Come on, this was a ridiculous foodie experience. Food: excellent flavor and execution. They initially brought us a complimentary amuse bouche ceviche-ish little spoon that was so yummy and interesting. We had the beef poutine, the duck breast, and the beef carpaccio. Excellent all around. Drinks: Mixology was on point with wonderfully curated menu. We had the coffee coquito and the old fashioned that they smoked on the table Service: So personable, it was a great part of our experience. Ask for Nicole, tell her that Angelo and Tara from NYC.

I have mixed feelings about this place. They list reservations required. We made reservations on a Friday night which only gave us 2 times so we hurried to get ready for 730. We got there and it was pretty much empty. So my suggestion is remove that statement from everywhere. I also skipped making the reservation because it requires extra steps. The place is cool looking, industrial and sort of hiding. The broken tiles on the entrance are a sign to me that details are missing. We were seat quickly and our server was very very into descriptors. Odd but entertaining. Drinks were strangely slow to arrive, strange because there were maybe 3 tables. The food came out and was good. We picked a few apps and a main dish to share. They have a tasting option of 5 courses for 100 which seems okay on price. Overall it’s a cool spot, but the lack of people on a Friday isn’t good.
Derek B — Google review
We did their 10 course tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Each was unique from one another and we appreciate when a menu doesn't have emulsions. Cocktails all used good quality ingredients and were brought out timely and in appropriate glassware
Dolan S — Google review
Had the course tasting-menu with wine pairing. Expensive tasting-menus, such as this, are typically at high-end restaurants. Typically, one gets a summary of each course ingredients / preparation and the paired wine. This was not included at Blood and Sand. Also, the wine pours were very short. The atmosphere is casual. Classic rock fills the air. Their tasting-menu price should include a server and sommelier who is knowledgeable and conversant regarding each menu item. The food was good but not exceptional.

Belated birthday celebrations call for something truly special — and Blood and Sand delivered. This gem has earned its place among Ian Froeb’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2025, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite dining spots in St. Louis. We opted for the five-course tasting menu and chose different dishes for each course so we could try nearly everything on the menu—a move I highly recommend. Every course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We began with two exceptional cocktails: the Short Day and Long Nights and the Misty Mountain Hop—both set the tone perfectly. A delicate amuse bouche followed, and then the real adventure began: • Course 1: Bison Carpaccio | Frito Misto • Course 2: Wild Boar Pozole | Frisée Salad • Course 3: Wagyu Short Rib Poutine | Charred Octopus • Course 4: Smoked Duck with Rendang | Coffee-Rubbed Elk Tenderloin • Course 5: Cheesecake | Dark Chocolate Torte If I had to choose standouts? The Wagyu Short Rib Poutine, Frito Misto, and Dark Chocolate Torte were unforgettable. The atmosphere is the perfect balance of elevated and cozy, with intimate lighting, warm service, and attention to every detail. Whether you’re celebrating something big or just want a night of top-tier dining, Blood & Sand should absolutely be on your list. It was a fantastic experience, and Nicole was so great at explaining everything to us! We’ll definitely be back! We each did the five course menu and I did the wine pairing, which I highly recommend. Everything was perfectly crafted. My husband also tried some new to us alcohols, which were very tasty.

Have heard rave reviews about this place so decided to go here for a birthday gift and do the 10 course meal. Overall experience was a 3.5/5 for us, so rounded it up to 4 stars. Their menu changes often, so might be back in the future to be more choosy and do a la carte or the 5 course menu. Service and ambiance was on point, and I recommend a trip here, but I docked points because I think the price is a little steep considering the quality of some dishes. Even when not every dish will appeal to every person, I still expect every dish on a tasting menu to have technical expertise that my husband and I felt was lacking on a few. For more in depth detail, the service is really good and timely with very polite and attentive staff. The ambiance is beautiful with the lighting and presentation of the restaurant itself - besides the dumpster that was sitting 50-100 feet from the entrance to the right in plain view as one of the first things you see. Their tasting menu also has very generous portion sizes. However, the quality of the food is hit or miss. When the food hit, it REALLY was a hit, but there were too many misses for me to think the price is worth it, even with the variety of food options you get to sample. It was $500 for two of us with the 10 course meal and I think the $115/person member pricing would be fair, but the $140/person is a bit steep just because the quality and attention to detail was a little lacking in some areas. All the wine pairings my husband got with his were great, though! I do recommend you get the pairings if you go. First course was the eggplant, which was pretty good but not amazing. Spices were a little underwhelming. The options for the second courses were clam chowder and sweet bread. Both were fantastic! The chowder was hearty and rich with big pieces of fresh seafood. We both loved it. The sweet bread was very mild and creamy, with the seafood notes in the sauce pairing really well. I would order both again. Third was the escargot and the lobster pasta. The escargot had that unpleasant dirt/mineral taste you sometimes get, so I wasn't a fan. The lobster in the pasta had several overcooked pieces, and the pasta was short of al dente, so it was very firm and undercooked. It wasn't very enjoyable for either of us past a few bites. Fourth was the salad with watermelon pieces and feta. It was a nice cleanser, but the salad didn't taste or look fresh. Fifth was a winner for both. We got the foie gras and the beef carpaccio. The beef carpacio was light and fresh with so many wonderful flavors of the bright acid and savory thinly cut beef. Absolutely adored it. The foie gras felt firm when you cut it, but once you took a bite, it was that wonderful nuanced and creamy taste you only get from duck liver. They knocked both out of the park! Sixth was the chicken with rissoto or the grouper. We enjoyed both of them, the chicken was moist, and the rissoto was very pleasantly creamy. It's a pleasant dish, but not a wow factor. The grouper was cooked perfectly, and with the sauce it was a hit. The seventh sorbet palate cleaner was very tasty! Just a really bright raspberry flavor to really refresh you! Course eight, we got lamb and steak. The steak was delicious with a really bright sauce. The mushrooms and brussel sprouts with it were lovely. I really liked that main and would definitely get it again. The lamb was underwhelming. It was super chewy and not tender at all. We also didn't like the chickpeas with it and thought the spice blend with it was more akin to what you get at a casual Indian street offering and not a higher end restauran similar to the eggplant dish. Course nine was the beignets, and they were just too heavy for our liking, like a hush puppy density and not light/pillowy. The sauce was nice, but neither of us ate both. The last course was white truffles in a raspberry coulis type sauce and it was divine. A very sweet white chocolate with enough raspberry punch to tone it to a well-rounded finish.

Love this place! I've been here about 5 times now. It is a great little spot in Ferguson. Good atmosphere and food. The service is terrific. The staff are genuinely friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cork Wine Bar! I accompanied 2 friends who were regulars there who introduced me to one of their favorite wines (a beautiful, light rose' with a fruity finish!) and we sipped while enjoying one of Cork's signature popcorn offerings. We ordered the Oregano Popcorn and it was delicious with the perfect balance of butter and herbs! They also offered Sirracha flavored popcorn as well. We enjoyed the wine, the popcorn and each other's company in a beautiful, well appointed but relaxed environment. It was a great evening!

Went here for the first time on Valentine’s and it will definitely be the last time. Stick with the drinks and nothing else. We ordered cocktails & popcorn before our food came out. Popcorn arrived minutes after the food, old, cold with thick layers of butter. It literally took 20-minutes for what tasted like 1-week old popcorn to come out. Now the horrible food. We ordered 2 brisket dinners (because we love brisket so much) that came with potatoes and root vegetables. Some parts of the food was extremely hot, and some were extremely cold, like refrigerator cold. Potatoes and veggies that have just been cooked should never reach a chilling cold level like that. The meat. It was shredded beef, beef roast, NOT BRISKET, at all!! It was covered in gravy, it smelled and was chewy. My partner sent hers back to be heated up, I was starving so I gave it a shot anyway. When her food came back, she couldn’t even eat it, the smell and the taste of the meat, like old leftovers were to much for her. The waitress walked passed our table 3 times checking on other tables and intentionally avoided us because she seen that my partner was not eating her food. Most waitresses would make an attempt to come over and check to make sure the food was ok after being sent back. When she FINALLY made it over, we explained to her that the food tastes microwaved because of the very noticeable hot and freezing cold spots and the meat tastes old. She didn’t apologize or offer to replace our dinner, she just became defensive and said it definitely wasn’t microwaved, it was made in a skillet, but she’d take it off the bill since she didn’t eat it. The meat may have been heated in the skillet, but the potatoes weren’t. Also, how old is this food? How long has it been cooked and in the fridge or freezer before you reheated it and sold it as $15 a plate? And she’s a liar because when my partner sent her plate back, they put it in the microwave to make it hotter and it came back out looking just how we sent it. The waitress showed no concern or empathy for our experience at their bar and she is a sore thumb for this place. Get rid of her! Bottom line, the food is old, cold, dry, doesn’t match the price, too expensive for re-heated left overs, and most of all, most of the hot dishes are microwaved, and it’s terribly obvious. They need to stop selling beef pot roast as beef brisket as well. And guess who woke up with a stomach ache and frequent bathroom runs, me and not my partner who refused to eat the food. A disgrace and I will never return.

Well it's currently king soul cafe and I unfortunately did not have a positive experience. It was probably the worse service I've ever received from an eating establishment. There were five in my party and we each got our food at different times and each time we had to ask for corn bread, which was suppose to come with the meal. I never got a second drink. The waitress took it orders without pen and pad, then asked twice more to clarify what we ordered...I knew then we were going to have a problem. Sure enough by the time I got my meal and finished, the fourth person, who by this time asked to get it to go, recorded the wrong side items...and no corn bread (lol, but not funny). I cancelled the desert that I was going to order, paid the bill and left. The fifth person still didn't receive the their food yet. #KingSoulCafe, please how a manager to teach the cook to prepare food timely and the waite staff to take and bring it orders properly. On a positive note, I can say the catfish was good.

Nestled on South Kingshighway, Novella Wine Bar is a delightful gem that showcases the rich and diverse flavors of Balkan cuisine. Since its inception in 2012 by Dijana Groth, this charming bistro has become a beloved destination for those seeking an elevated dining experience featuring dishes from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, and beyond. Unlike the heartier fare often associated with the region, Novella offers a refined menu that highlights delicate flavors.
Have you ever driven past a place and thought, we really need to go there. Well, we finally did! And the only word is WOW! You open the door to old world charm. A great playlist of music that isn’t too loud. A wine list that is curated to meet almost any wine lovers wants. The “by the glass” options are pretty spectacular as well. As for the food, it is mostly small plates meant to share. We had the polenta fries, the chicken-basil flatbread and the Gorgonzola stuffed dates. Everything was beautiful and delicious. The dates were a revelation as I am not a blue cheese fan, yet these were so amazing we ordered a second! I would return just for the dates, but I’m so excited to try the rest of the menu. Great service, beautiful surroundings, outstanding food and wine! Looking forward to a cooler evening because their outdoor patio looks so inviting!!!

Have driven by several times and decided to stop in with 2 couples on a Saturday night. Vibe: immediately warm and inviting. Place was bustling but not crowded. Service was busy yet attentive, we asked questions and took every recommendation. Drinks: we ordered 7 of their signature cocktails from the fall menu and passed them around - all delicious. The Nutty Irishman was a pleasant surprise. Fall apple caramel sangria tasted like pie. Smoked Manhattan used mesquite, which was a bit strong for the cocktail IMHO. Owner also suggested a couple liqueurs and aperitifs, both delicious, especially the macadamia nut despite it's gasohol nose. We were all delighted by this hidden gem wine bar on S Kingshighway, ended up staying until near closing. Great conversation with the owner, it's been open 9 years. They have a small but charming wrap-around patio, will check it out in warmer weather. Will definitely be back and try the food and enjoy the patio.

Videira Wine Shop & Bar is a charming spot located in Midtown capturing the essence of the neighborhood's rich history and vibrant present. The ambiance is captivating with dim lighting, a relaxed atmosphere, and a brick-walled patio hidden out back. The name "Videira," meaning grape wine in Portuguese, perfectly sets the tone for wine enthusiasts. The bar offers an extensive wine list sourced from local vendors, along with local cheese and meats.
Fantastic spot for unique cocktails and customizable charcuterie. 44$ for 6 selections and each option is either a classic or has a unique twist in the best of ways. More than generous with the portions of each selection as well. The service is excellent. Knowledgeable and not too overbearing. They check in just enough to feel attended to and not awkward to chat with. Both server and bartender were that attended to me were great! The atmosphere is VERY calming and charming. Simple decor that really lends itself to a romantic vibe. I feel like I'm in a high end lounge. Music is a perfect volume where I can still hear those I'm with. And the genres playing matched the space. Overall fantastic experience. Will definitely be back and recommending this place going forward. A perfect date spot or space for a more intimate gathering.

Went there for a private event and LOVED IT!!! Didn’t get to taste their food since it was a catered event but their drinks were tasty. They had a wonderful wine list! Bartender was so nice and she did great due to the fact she was the only one tending the bar and the tables on the floor for a while. Place was beautifully decorated and great for small intimate events or a cute date night

Beautifully designed ambiance with the best staff they are so sweet and attentive. Mykel and her fiancé are knowledgeable about wines and took their time to craft the cocktails and food menu. I feel like family every time I go. STL needed a place that could become a regular spot to enjoy food, friends, drinks (non alcoholic included) and atmosphere! Highly recommend for a good time anytime.

The place was beautifully decorated. There’s such a calm vibe. We met the owner who is such a sweetheart. She recommended a great wine, so I purchased a bottle. I became familiar with a new tequila. The snacks we ordered were beautifully presented and prepared and oh so delicious! Yum! We had the BEST time. The next time I’m in town, I will definitely be back to spend time here.

This charming and intimate wine bar exudes a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, characterized by its cozy and aesthetically pleasing decor. While I did not partake in the culinary offerings, I can attest to the exceptional quality of the wine selection. I highly recommend this establishment for a romantic date night or a casual gathering with friends. It is an experience not to be missed.

A real surprise in the City, inviting bar and rooms with open face brick walls, small section of wines to purchase. Service attentive and the food great complement to the wine and cocktails. Definitely will go again.

Videira Wine Shop & Bar @videirawinebar is my new fave spot in Midtown @midtownalley capturing the essence of the neighborhood’s rich history and vibrant present. The ambiance is nothing short of captivating – a beautiful, dark, and undeniably sexy spot that exudes an alluring charm. The name itself, Videira, meaning “grape wine” in Portuguese, sets the tone perfectly for the wine connoisseur in all of us. The owner’s warm and welcoming hospitality adds an extra layer of allure to the experience. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this establishment 3-4 times, and each visit has been nothing short of spectacular. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, beer lover, or enjoy craft cocktails, Videira has something to offer. The added bonus of being a full-service wine shop with competitive retail pricing is a delightful surprise. Videira creates a laid-back atmosphere where patrons can savor their drinks alongside a diverse range of small plates. The menu is an eclectic blend of delights that pair perfectly with your beverage of choice, all designed for sharing. It’s the ideal setting for good conversations and great company.

Pappy's Smokehouse is a popular order-at-the-counter spot known for its wood-smoked Memphis-style barbecue. It has been a staple in St. Louis' booming barbecue scene for over a decade, alongside its sibling restaurant Bogarts Smokehouse. Pappy's is famous for its old-school Memphis-style dry rub ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends, while Bogarts offers playful apricot-brulee finish ribs and standout pastrami and tri-tip.
We visited Pappy’s for the first time on a Saturday around 5 PM for an early dinner. There was a 30-minute wait in the hallway, but don’t give up—it’s absolutely worth it. Once it’s your turn, they take your order and seat you right away. The brisket was a standout—thinly sliced, lightly smoked, and incredibly tender with almost no fat. The pulled pork was just as impressive, falling apart beautifully with a gentle, smoky flavor. We sampled several sides, and the baked beans were the star—rich, bold, and full of flavor. The sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned, and the applesauce was clearly homemade with a fresh, comforting taste. This was an outstanding meal at a great price. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, and the food more than justifies the wait. Highly recommended!

If you’re thinking about Pappy’s—just go. And if you’re not? Go anyway. We waited about 40 minutes in line on a Sunday afternoon, and it was absolutely worth it. The ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had—smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. The brisket was juicy, the sides had fun twists on the classics, and the lineup of sauces was on point. The service was incredible—friendly, fast, and efficient. Once we were seated, our food came out almost instantly. On top of all that, it’s extremely reasonably priced for the quality. An absolute must if you're in St. Louis.

Fantastic food! I see why their ribs were rated #1 in the US. Lots of cool Blues Themed artwork adorning the hallway as you wait in line. The menus are available in the hallway so be ready to order when you get to the front. The cashier takes your order you pay and tip at the register. Tips are pooled and shared among staff. And don't sleep on the cookies. They are amazing!!

Stopped in while visiting the Arch this weekend and the ribs did not dissappoint! First thing I noticed was all the cars which was a good sign. I was able to find parking in the back lot which was nice. We waited in line for about 30 mins but it was worth it. My sister had the burnt end sandwich which was good while I had the ribs which were amazing! They were so juicy and came off the bone nicely. Ribs were the best I've ever had next to my son's smoked ribs. I was wondering how they keep up with the demand for food considering all the people coming in and noticed 5 giant smokers which take care of business. Very cool to see! Also of note the ordering and delivery of you order is very organized. Great food and service!
Helen J — Google review
Where have these ribs been my whole life? You know you’re in luck when you walk in and they’re carting a huge stack of ribs in from the smoker. I love BBQ, but I rarely order ribs because they never blow me away. But after taking a recommendation from a local who was waiting ahead of us, I ordered the half-rack with baked beans and the fried corn on the cob. We also got the mouth-watering brisket. UNBELIEVABLE! The meat is so tender, but stays on the bone until you want it to fall off. The flavor packs a punch, so much so, I didn’t need any sauce—though I tried a couple flavors. I’m so glad I tried the fried corn on the cob, because it was a good compliment to the richness of the ribs. Service was organized and FAST! I cannot recommend this place enough!
Aimee — Google review
Pappy's for the first time and was not disappointed in the ribs actually they were phenomenal. They use fruit wood like apple or cherry to smoke so the smoke flavor is not overwhelming like some places that use hickory or mesquite. A half rack is 6 ribs, which had a LOT of meat on them. These are pork back ribs. The meat was tender amazing! you have 4 sauces to chose from, but I only tried the sweet, which was excellent. Not too sweet, good flavor with the ribs. The burnt ends so freaking tender mouth watering! The baked beans were good but the fried corn is must get! Service was great and pricing was super awesome! 100% recommend!
Hagz — Google review
Rolled in at 1pm yesterday (out of turkey)and had the ribs and brisket. Ribs have great flavor and were very tender. Added a brisket to the combo and really liked it. Probably the best brisket outside of Texas. Got here at 11:30 just to try the turkey and it did not disappoint. So tender it melted like butter. Definitely give it a try. Also had the burnt ends on a potato but the headliner was definitely the turkey.

The place has the best BBQ i have ever had in my 55 years of life. We git the ribs and burnt ends with baked beans, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. I do not have one critique to give.

Farmhaus Restaurant, located in Clifton Heights, is a cozy spot that embodies the essence of Midwestern fine dining. Chef Kevin Willmann, a James Beard nominee, showcases his Gulf Coast roots through seafood dishes while emphasizing local and seasonal ingredients from Missouri. The restaurant's journey from its humble beginnings to becoming a top dining destination has been remarkable. With a focus on community and fresh ingredients, Farmhaus offers an intriguing dining experience with its chef-driven menu.
My impromptu dinner at Farmhaus was a stellar experience! All of the staff was so attentive- Ben, Skylar, and Jill- and they made me feel welcomed. I had the Chicken Liver Mousse with Raisin Chutney which was like a pate. Then I had the Fennel Sausage Tagliatelle for my main meal and it was savory and robust with flavor. Then for dessert I had the strawberry angel food cake, which was heavenly! Recommend it to anyone- locals and tourists alike!
Jaime S — Google review
Disappointing, I made a reservation for shortly after they opened. They called to confirm and yet, still were not ready for me. I was a party of 1, they first tried to tick me away in the corner of the bar area. But then moves me to the middle of the dining room to a table where one side is a bench seat and the other side is a chair. I was the only patron in the entire restaurant and thought it would be weird to sit and face the wall so I chose tawat side where the 2 benches did not meet and there is a 3” gap in the middle of my seat. Very uncomfortable. I figured they had many parties coming so all the other tables were spoken for. I ordered a glass of wine and started with the beef tartar was supposed to have arugula but had frise. With my eyes nor my taste buds did I detect the cured egg yolk that was supposed to be in the dressing?? The mushroom salad sounded so good but again disappointed, pecans not toasted, warm bacon vinaigrette was not warm, apparently rehydrated mushrooms that were tough and without flavor except salt. The red drum was nice, (again lay off the salt chef!). warm and flavorful, the whipped white sweet potatoes and spoon bread. I ordered dessert of boiled and baked bread pudding with berry coulee (absent) in a vanilla bourbon sauce and this puck of a muffin tIn shaped “bread pudding”. Must have been mass produced weeks ago, pulled out of the refrigerator, not adequately warmed, a miniature little mint leaf stuck on the top and doused in the vanilla bourbon sauce. The top level of “bagels” nearly broke a tooth. I literally could not cut through it so I picked out from the bottom. Bagels are not the right bread for bread pudding. I hope others have shared that with you too. The vanilla bourbon sauce was not like any I had ever tasted and I have tasted some great ones! If you have those type of prices and toute farm to table, you need to be making each dish fresh and properly as stated on the menu. Lay off the salt and let the food speak. I can only assume it was the wrong month to experience this place at its best. Maybe in the summer it would be experienced differently. You decide, I won’t be returning.

Everything is so fresh and homemade! Each course was amazing starting with the beef carpaccio with some whipped cheese that I could have drank. The pasta and fish were some of the best I’ve had in St. Louis. Looking forward to doing the chef tasting menu next time!!

Farmhaus in St. Louis is over here redefining dinner theater. Quite literally! The Salad of the Year goes to them! They come table side with a shaken up mason jar full of bright veggies and then dramatically dump it onto a plate. I’ve seen Broadway shows with less flair. Naturally, I got the tuna steak because, as the self-appointed Meat Police of St. Louis, I have a duty to keep it pescatarian. #StLouisPescatarianApproved and proud. This place is another underrated spot in STL. I’ve been before, but it’s been way too long. Here’s your official reminder to put this spot on your list. The location is also adorable, surrounded by every possible type of restaurant and bar so you can make a whole night of it.

Delicious! Had the pre fix menu but with a twist; chef easily accommodated our non meat request and subbed out the beef for the fish. Also enjoyed a mushroom salad and a glass of Prosecco before the pre fix. The various flavors of each dish coalesced into an explosion of sophisticated and elevated flavors that satisfied and satiated the senses. Service was excellent too. Worthy of a repeat!

For a pricey farm, a table restaurant the “farm” aspect was lacking the star of the bruschetta – tomatoes – were hard and/or not flavorful. When I gave my feedback to the manager after she asked how was so far the response was “wow no one else has complained. In fact they said they were really good.“ That is my least Favorite Response to feedback But they did do the right thing and took the dish off my bill The green beans that came with my $60 steak were overdone. The mashed potatoes however were excellent. Now for the $60 steak, which was a nice size, I asked for a rare medium rare And there was little browning on the outside and the fat was not browned off. I assume that this is Because they cook it on a grill, Which is not a great way to cook a steak on the rare side. The Demi glass was not thick. It was runny and tasted almost like soy sauce. I found the grouper dish that my husband got very bland and all it was was the fish and some zucchini with a little muffin of spoon bread. All in all, I didn’t find the food worth the prices

We had a great dinner experience here. We ordered the chef testing course and it was delicious. The amount of the food is just right. The speed for delivery each course was smooth, each dish was the right temperature. Our waiter had a very good knowledge of each dish.

We got the prix fixe 6 course dinner with wine pairings! If we could rate this 4.5 stars I would. The service was very good and we consistently got each pairing with the food (albeit a couple minutes after the food came each time). I would have loved to hear from our server why they paired each wine with the dish. The food itself was also very good, just the right size portions to make you full at the end without being stuffed. We loved the pappardelle, salmon tartare and chocolate dessert most! One minor suggestion is to use more acidity in the dishes throughout to make them pop. Thanks for hosting us for our special anniversary.

In the middle of the hill, this restaurant departs slightly from the traditional Italian vendors to offer a very modern Italian American cuisine in cute kitschy surrounds. The inside is covered in postmodern warhol-esque art and the low lighting makes it perfect for a romantic date. The outside has a well developed seating area, with 5 or 6 tables staffed by 2 perfectly attentive waiters. The food itself changes often due to the nature of it's local sourcing, and while the plates are small, the food is delicious. It's takes ordinary American foods and converts them through traditional italian herbs and oils into fusion food. Whatever you get, don't forget to add the bread sampler to your appetizers list, five may be a modern Italian restaurant, but they house- make traditional breads and oils like no other Side note: there is no netting or screen on the outside wearing area, so just be award that in summer, you may be subject to mosquitoes.

I don’t normally take time to post a review unless I have a great experience or a not so great experience. The positives: Lovely restaurant and a nice vibe. Our table of five enjoyed the bread and herb butter and the pickles and olive appetizer. Our server was kind throughout the service. Negatives: Our two pasta dishes were very bland, small portions and certainly not worth the price. Two of the three pastas available featured mushrooms and the other was vegetarian. I would suggest adding another option without mushrooms and with a protein. The Caesar salad was quite a large portion but lacked the Caesar anchovy bite. The dressing was pretty boring and flavorless and I think the dressing sat on top of the salad a little too long before it was served as the lettuce was kind of soggy.. The Margherita pizza was just bad - the crust was very burnt and the cheese and sauce lacked seasoning and taste of any kind. I had my husband try it and he would typically be happy with any pizza and he said it may have been the worst, most flavorless pizza he’s ever had. We had leftovers and didn’t even care to take it home. It took forever to get our main courses; I would guess it took an hour or more between the appetizers and main course so it was just a very long wait for a very disappointing meal. I think this restaurant has real potential but they need to work on making the fresh ingredients taste good and give people a reason to come back. I don’t think they did that tonight.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day. We had the 4 course Mother's Day special. The courses consisted of a mushroom and cheese ravioli, caesar salad, either a steak or scallop entree and a chocolate cake with whipped cream and candied pecans. All of the food was very good. The service was great as well. The only issue we had was the portion size is on the smaller side. We eat tasting menus quite often, so it was a shame that both of us left the restaurant wishing for a little more to be content. They do have a 6 course menu so the portions may be perfect for that tasting experience.

Pizza restaurant
Union Loafers Café and Bread Bakery is a contemporary establishment that offers a variety of traditionally baked breads, lunchtime sandwiches, and dinnertime pizzas. The lunch menu features simple yet exceptional options such as ham-and-cheddar sandwiches, chicken-and-rice soup, and a delightful PB&J. Notably, the Little Gem salad has gained widespread acclaim for its exquisite blend of lettuces, herbs, breadcrumbs, and buttermilk dressing.
Proof that bread can change a man. Y’all. Strap in and butter your biscuits, because I am about to tell you how a BBQ-devoted, brisket-biased, meat-sweatin’ through summer Texan — had a borderline religious experience at a dang bread bakery. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “This man probably thinks sourdough is a fancy term for ‘where’s the meat?’” And normally? You’d be RIGHT. But Union Loafers didn’t just serve bread. They served purpose. They served art. They served a carb-driven awakening that shook me to my smoked-meat-loving core. I rolled in for an early dinner, and let me tell you, this place was already bumpin’ like a honky-tonk at happy hour. But BAM — no wait. We were seated faster than my wife finds a new book to buy. Service? 10 outta 10 and sharper than a brisket knife at a church picnic. I kicked things off with an ice-cold Stag — a classic Pabst lager from Milwaukee that came in lookin’ like it just clocked out of a shift and wanted to watch a ball game. Crisp, clean, no nonsense. The kind of beer that doesn’t need to tell you what hops it used because it knows you’ve got fences to mend and meat to smoke. Starters? Oh, buddy. The Caesar salad — romaine so crisp it could shatter, dressed in something tangy, garlicky, and just spicy enough to raise an eyebrow. The caper-chili flake-breadcrumb-Grana Padano-black pepper combo? That’s not salad seasoning — that’s swagger. The meatballs and burnt toast? The meatballs were tender, juicy, and swimming in a house marinara that tasted like someone’s Nonna whispered sweet nothings into each tomato. And that toast? That glorious slab of charred sourdough, slicked with olive oil and blanketed in cheese, changed me. Then the headliner arrived: Pepperoni Pizza — half upgraded with mushrooms and jalapeños because I like to live dangerously. When it landed on the table, I knew I was about to commit emotional infidelity on my smoker. The crust? Charred, chewy, and clearly the result of sorcery. The Calabrian chilis brought the heat, the herbs made it feel fancy, and the pepperoni? Curled at the edges like it was flexin’. The mushrooms added earthy depth, and the jalapeños? Texas-approved fire. Every bite was a full-on flavor rodeo. By the second slice, I was leaning back thinking about real estate in St. Louis. This pizza looked like it was ready for its magazine cover shoot. I stared at it longer than I did my first truck. ⸻ TL;DR: Union Loafers took a lifelong BBQ lover and made him reconsider his food pyramid. I’m not saying I’m giving up BBQ — let’s not get crazy — but folks, this place is bread-blessed and flavor-anointed. 10/10. Would I go back? I’d cross state lines. I’d make a detour. I’d put this place on the GPS under “Emergency Pizza Situation”, and maybe even miss a football game for this.

After seeing all the good reviews and my daughter seeing the beet sandwich on tick tok, I had very high expectations for this restaurant. Perhaps my expectations were too high. The atmosphere right away felt like a cattle call. There was no warm greeting. There was no welcome to union loafers. There were none of the typical pleasantries you would expect in the service industry. We sat down to a cramped seating set up, which by design can work if you also are offering a warm personable environment. This was not the case here. The servers were that fake nice that has unfortunately become the norm and lacked true empathy. By that, I mean never once did they ask how everything was. Now I am from the old school rules of 2 bites 2 min, which I admit I do expect, but we weren't asked at all. The only thing coming close to it was after we paid the server, said those beet sandwiches are good, huh? Well, this is problematic as only 2 of the 4 people in our party ordered them. Overall, I hope this establishment can take this as a learning experience. Yes, you may be able to fill your restaurant and have them lined up around the corner while your fad is in, but you will not have the people love ,admire and fight for your business to be around for the ages like so many St. Louis establishments have. Perhaps you don't want that, and you are happy with the flavor of the moment. To have a loyal following, you need to bring back the genuine care that one has had the best dining experience possible. Upon leaving, they were so caught up in getting the next warm body seated that there was no goodbye. Thank you for coming, etc. These are requirements for a good review from me. On a positive note, the beet sandwich was very good, the other 2 we ordered we not.

Was super excited to try and in turn I’m incredibly disappointed . First, it took two hours to arrive. I ordered through their website and it did not give an estimate on delivery before checking out so that’s on me. For $17 I got a bacon turkey bianca sandwich without bacon. No bacon was on the sandwich which was awesome! However it only had one piece of turkey on the entire thing. I just assumed there was going to be more turkey on it at that price point. Then I got to the potato salad . For $4 you get 4 bites of potato salad! Maybe eating on-site is better, I don’t know. The bread was good but I really just feel super ripped off. The ham and cheddar was stacked with meat. The cookies were okay. I love what they do but man… hard to ever want to order again.

Simple restaurant that serves great food. The blueberry lemon soda is heavenly and our pizzas were amazing. We also had the ceaser salad and the dressing was rich and creamy. A fresh squeeze of lemon would have been nice. The almond olive cake was decent. The waiter was very kind! Overall we will return for pizza and a fresh soda!

Overrated. The pizza was quite expensive and not worth what you pay unfortunately. The service was okay, we ordered to go and it took like 30 minutes to get our pizza considering there was no one in the restaurant. We sat down and waited and once our pizza was done we figured we might as well eat it there since we made ourselves comfortable and they served us water. The woman immediately told us no they don’t allow pizza boxes in the restaurant. Threw us off a little because as mentioned there was no one really there and we had waited awhile.

Don’t be fooled by the simple menu—it’s top notch food!!! The Bistro Beef sandwich was delicious! The horseradish style sauce was perfect. I regret not getting a loaf to take home. The salad was fresh and crisp. Next visit will be for dinner to try the pizza. Staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back soon.

I've been to Union loafers about five times so far. Every single time I enjoyed the food. The fresh baked pretzels are some of the best I've ever had. I'll pop by just to grab one. I forget the soup I had the first time but I'm not normally a soup guy and I really loved it. I've had two different roast beef sandwiches on other occasions, and each time I have been thoroughly impressed. This is not just a good sandwich this is an impressive sandwich. You just can't beat the combination of amazing bread and homemade ingredients when they build these sandwiches. Should you go? I don't know but I'll be back there next Tuesday, on the Tuesday after that and the Tuesday after that.

Was literally mid-bite at Union Loafers when my husband asked, “What’s your favorite spot in St. Louis?” I looked at my smoked beet sandwich, took a huge bite, and just nodded. He’s like, “Yeah… it’s here.” He gets it. I crave this place every other week. The bread, the ingredients, the way everything just works, so good. If you show up and there’s a line, don’t leave. They move quick and it’s worth it.

Vicia is a sleek eatery in St. Louis known for its local, seasonal cuisine that highlights vegetables and sustainably raised meats. The restaurant offers a three-course Farmers Feast, which replaces the traditional tasting menu and showcases the kitchen's current bounty of ingredients and inspiration. Co-owned by Michael and Tara Gallina, Vicia provides exceptional hospitality and guest engagement to craft a unique dining experience.
Went here for dinner after an intimate wedding. There were about 12 of us and we were seated on the patio at a nice long table. We had the fixed menu without the pairing. It was AMAZING! Even the way they served the food with 4 or five servers coming out at the same time was impressive. And the main server Caity was knowledgeable and very nice The farm to table food to delicious and light with some veggies coming from the garden just outside the venue. The whole evening was just perfect. I would definitely go again and highly recommend anyone to go and have this experience. 5* all the way!

If we lived in St Louis, we would be regulars here! It’s so good! We came to town for a concert and love farm to table restaurants so we got reservations here. When you walk in, you pass what initially looks like a slightly overgrown flowery landscaping. As you continue, you realize it’s food! Some peppers, some herbs, and more. Our main server (I can’t remember his name but he had a Harry Potter quote tattooed on his arm) said they grown their own food and what they don’t grow, they get from local farms. The service from all staff was excellent. I love it when my table is wiped clean between courses, especially if the table gets a little crumby from the delish bread. The “Let Us Feed You” was a tasting menu without calling it that. The description is a little misleading as it says “3 course, family style meal”. When I think family style, I envision a vat of food that each person has to scoop onto their plate (like Bucca de Peppo or Stroud's) so I would never have chosen that if the server didn’t explain it better. The first and second course had multiple dishes. It was more of a tapa style tasting menu. Absolutely fabulous! I am floored that it was only $80 a person for that much food. We love to go to different tasting menu options in Kansas City and I can tell you, none of them are only $80. We were stuffed when we were done (which isn’t always the case w tasting menus) so it was WELL WORTH IT! The food was so good. I’m still thinking about the lovely carrot and pesto starter. The crackers w sweet peppers was also memorable. Everything we ate was superb. I also appreciated the variety of non-alcoholic drink options. My wife liked the interesting vegetable twists on her cocktails, like a smoked celery martini and a sweet pepper old fashioned. Be advised, go with a foodie if you want to try the tasting menu because to order it, it requires your whole table to choose that option.

Laidback, upscale farm to table dining experience. The red snapper was light and flavorful. Each bite of the tasting menu was unique and fresh. Our waiter Sam I Am was fantastic and charming. Sam and other staff answered any questions we had and explained the food thoroughly. The cocktails was balanced and creative as well.

My husband and I dined at Vicia for the first time as a belated anniversary meal before going to The Fox. We agreed that this is now our spot for dinner before a show! The restaurant was beautiful, the service was excellent...and the FOOD! We tried the fried rice appetizer, miso cured trout, and butternut squash with farro. Everything was gorgeous and cooked to perfection. The textures and depth of flavor were just incredible. We couldn't resist sharing the earl grey tres leches with rhubarb for dessert, and learned it was the first day that was on the menu. It was the perfect way to cap off our meal. That rhubarb sorbet was simply to die for. We appreciated knowledgeable our server Koree was about the story behind the menu and ingredients. She was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Truly, the whole experience was a treat. We walked out saying we couldn't wait to come back - and we will!

One of the best dining experiences we've had in St. Louis so far. Everything was exceptional, from the warm yet professional service to the outstanding flavors and thoughtfully crafted drinks. We chose this place for our anniversary, and it exceeded every expectation. A definite must-visit restaurant in St. Louis.

We went to Vicia for the first time to celebrate my birthday and boy were we impressed. I had heard of Vicia through the STL magazines and the James Beard Foundation, so I had high hopes. Luckily our experience lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is beautiful with open space and lots of windows. Depending on where you sit, you have a great view of the kitchen as well. The staff were welcoming, professional and friendly. Very good first impression. I was initially considering getting an appetizer and cocktail before starting dinner, but I'm glad I didn't or I would have been uncomfortably stuffed. We decided to go with the "Let us cook for you" menu option where they choose the dishes to eat that night as well as the regular and elevated wine pairings. They described it as similar to a tasting menu without the formality of one, which I think is a fantastic idea. The chefs also adjust the portion size based on your party size, which is helpful if there are more than just 2 people in a party. This allowed us to sample a lot of the dishes and not have to think about it. The first course consisted of 5 starters (Albacore tuna sashimi, turnips, mussels on the half shell, focaccia, crispy rice). My favorites were the sashimi and crispy rice. It can be tough to pair wine with so many dishes, but the sommelier talked about the wines and we had fun deciding which wine went with which food best. Second course was three dishes (Sugar snap peas, lamb cavatelli and BBQ pork collar). The lamb and pork were so rich and delicious with the peas to cut through with some nice acidity and sweetness. For dessert, we were given the crepe creme brulee and a small piece of chocolate cake for my birthday, which was super nice. I tell you, I'd never thought to brulee a crepe, but holy cow it was amazing. Not too sweet with a nice crunch and soft texture together. Would 100% recommend. Overall, such a wonderful experience at Vicia and cannot wait to come back for their frequently rotated menu to try something new.

Wonderful atmosphere with creative and delicious food. We were fortunate enough to sit by the kitchen and watch everything be created. Well run, super organized on a Saturday evening. Highly recommend . (We made reservations) Only downside was table next to us was VERY loud. It made for a semi uncomfortable experience.

Superb. Everything. Honey ricotta on focaccia, herb butter mussels, sugar snap peas with trumpet mushrooms, to name a few. Everything felt super farm-to-table which is exactly my vibe. Minus one star because we did have to wait at least 20 minutes past our reservation time for our table to be cleared. Also waiter had an attitude.

Customers rave about the attentive service and delicious food, especially the crab benedict and breakfast skillet for brunch.
One of our favorite kitchens in Saint Louis ✨ The atmosphere is very cute and comfortable. The drink and food menu offers something for everyone - filled with remarkable taste! And if the weather is nice, can always take advantage of their outdoor patio.

Had a wonderful experience here! Ryan is an amazing bartender, and awesome person in general. (He was very kind to me when I was having a very bad day!) I ordered the fried cheese curds and filet, and both were excellent. Also really enjoyed the Tempranillo and espresso martini. Will definitely return next time we are in the area!!

I was seated promptly and ordered Beignets and an Old Fashioned. My server, Daniel was friendly and checked on my satisfaction. The atmosphere was lively, though I was seated near the cash register corner next to a group of somewhat loud colleagues who got noisier after a few drinks. Despite the noise, it was an pleasant experience overall. ** UPDATE ** I returned again a month later in August and sat at the bar. Daniel made my Hot Toddy and remembered me as the lady with thw laptop, how awesome!

I survived Costco on a Saturday and was looking for a spot in the area with a patio for a glass of wine when I stumbled upon Louie’s. The patio is small, but it’s right in the afternoon sun and it was empty on a weekend afternoon. As an added bonus, they have Happy Hour from 3-6 EVERY day (and all day Monday). We ordered a bottle of wine and chatted with our server, Ryan, who was a delight. Eventually we ordered a round of brussels sprouts and he brought us a round of beignets to pair with them, which was kind of him. I’m pretty picky with my desserts so I wasn’t a personal fan of the beignets though the couple we shared them with raved about them. The brussels sprouts were a 10/10 for me. The inside of this place was super cute and I plan to return for another round of wine and dinner soon!

Nice food with good options to dine in. Loved the wine. Lobster mac n cheese, spicy shrimp were good. Fish & chips were okay.

This is the first rating I’ve given to any restaurant but it’s well deserved. I felt bad not telling the world about their chicken piccata with how often I’ve been ordering it (and via delivery no less). I’ve also dined in and the staff is great at any time of day. This is a truly great restaurant and bar. Thank you for your devotion to quality!

OK, go see Kelly(manager), Alex(waiter), and Mariah(hostess)! They were amazing! Food was really good! They provided great service and had really great personalities! Oh, and the mimosas were on point! I felt good coming in but between them and the "Almost bottomless mimosas" I was feeling REALLY GOOD when we left. This place is a must try. Amazing service from our server Isabelle. One of the best service we have ever received. We requested splitting the tab for multiple people and they were gracious and allowed us to do so without any issues. We were able to try out the new burrata pizza 🍕 and will report it’s delicious. Thank you for your kind service and patience with us! Thank you Isabelle for one of the best service experiences I have had. 🙏🏽

What a gem this place is!! Perfect for a quaint date night, a relaxed dinner with friends, or gathering for girls dinner. The table sizes, bar seating, unique settings and dark, comforting ambiance with twinkle lights gives this all the good feels! And then there's the food! There's something for everybody, vegetarian fish, meat lovers, and carb loaders. I'm looking forward to returning and diving into one of their delicious pizzas.

Frog legs and goat cheese salad is delicious!!! I’m especially surprised by the goat cheese salad. The goat cheese has a cute oval shape and is fried, and the arugula leaves are complemented with fresh strawberries and a good portion of prosciutto. They have put effort in designing this plate, and the effort was worth it. It is delicious. Cocktail tasted good. We also ordered oysters and beef tartare, they were not bad as well. Beef tartare came in a very generous portion.

Stopped in for a quick glass of bubbles at the bar and ended up staying longer than planned. Scarlett’s has that kind of magic. The staff was welcoming right from the start and the vibe at the bar was cozy without feeling cramped. My glass of sparkling wine was perfectly chilled, crisp, and exactly what I needed to unwind. The bartender even gave me a few pairing suggestions for next time which I appreciated. It’s clear they care about the details here. Whether you're out solo or meeting a friend, this place makes you feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the wine list.

Had a good a first experience here a few weeks ago, but I went back last night and everything was very chaotic. My gf ordered a white wine, but was brought out a red wine with lip marks around the entire rim of the glass. Upon notifying the server of the mistake, he swiftly corrected the situation, but not great overall. The cheese board with dismal at best. Even with the $5 off happy hour price, it was very small and not worth the price.

Had a wonderful dinner at this small wine bar and restaurant. Their flatbread pizza was really good. The brussel sprouts were outstanding. We do not drink wine, so I can not comment on that, but judging from the inside of the restaurant, it looks like they have a very large selection. Atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The outdoor patio looked nice for when the weather gets warmer.

Restaurant
Balkan Treat Box is a popular restaurant known for its Balkan specialties such as pide, lahmacun, döner, and ćevapi. The restaurant has gained local and national acclaim for its famous cevapi, a minced meat and garlic kebab grilled over an open flame. Served in homemade wood-fired pita with raw onion and kajmak sauce, the longer, denser Sarajevo-style cevapi is a highlight of the menu.
Today I visited The Balkan Treat Box for the first time. I’ve heard how amazing it is, and I finally decided to give it a try. Although it was very busy, we really didn’t wait long at all. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful while we waited, taking our order, and serving our food. A staff memeber recommended the pide, and it was incredible. The hummus was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the bread was outstanding. Rice pudding was a treat for dessert, also recommended by staff. Run, don’t walk to try The Balkan Treat Box!

UPDATE: By the length of the line I see I was not alone in missing Balkan Treat Box this week! My previous note said how awesome the staff is to update Google so I knew not to drive over. They also share a lot on social media about stuff like that, limited time specials, etc. So glad they reopened so I could get my doner and sopresa salad. Since I decided to get to go last minute, I just got out of line and went to the to go area to wait. As always the staff were lovely -- they all seem to genuinely like working here EVERYTIME I AM IN! That vibe is amazing. They offered me a glass of water, it's the little things! And oh my goodness the food is fantastic! So fresh. The favors so good. Try all the things. PREVIOUS POST Everything about Balkan Treat Box is top notch! Seriously, have been untold times and always leave full and smiling. Well except today. Today was a lesson in not waiting so long between visits! I was on my way there when I thought twice about traffic & put it in Google maps, it said temporarily closed. I knew something was up and looked at the socials…. Air conditioning went out. They did everything they could to let customers know about the change in schedules as they always do! This is opposite experience from a friend at a chain recently — they didn’t mention the outage on arrival and only after the friend complained did they say the AC was out. Crazy in these temps to put employees & customers through that. Love supporting small businesses that are so good at updates. Thanks for saving me the in person heartbreak and I will be there once the AC is back, the only dilemma, what to order!

BLOWN AWAY. We have been enjoying Balkan Treat Box for years and love the food. The combination of flavors and textures, all handmade fresh every day and most cooked in their wood-fired over are amazing. They just added Harvest Shreds, a locally made plant-based protein to 2 of their menu items, #2 Pide and #4 Lahmacun, and the flavor and texture are amazing. Harvest Shreds is an umami bomb with the taste and texture of meat that explodes with the signature flavors of these 2 dishes. The Sopska Salad is also a great way to start the meal. The portions were generous and we had enough to bring home. DO NOT Miss the rice pudding dessert it was so amazing and a great way to cleanse your palate after the meal. Lovely outdoor seating in both the front (sun) and the back (shade) if the weather is good.

Outstanding food, service, and environment. I ordered a lot for my small group and had the opportunity to try everything! I enjoyed everything that was ordered. The doner is delicious (I should have ordered 2). The Wrap was my favorite and a menu item that I would return for over and over again. The burger was unique, but I loved it! Plthis location has a reputation that is well deserved, and I cannot wait to return. Lines are usually long, but my visit was excellent. Early afternoon visit during a weekday is the way to go!

Order at the desk and food will be brought out to your table. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. There is a parking lot at the back. Wood fired flatbreads Brown butter hummus: pretty chunky with chili oil and lemon juice with toasted flatbread and crushed pistachio sprinkled on top. Parsley and mint garnish. Pretty good. Balik Ekmek: grilled fish in bread with cherry tomatoes and salad. Comes with a side of chips. This was just ok. Lahmacun: interesting that they roll it into a wrap. Get the spicy beef. This was good.

Nestled in the charming McKinley Heights neighborhood, Milque Toast is a delightful spot that redefines brunch with its creative open-faced sandwiches and invigorating coffee. This cozy eatery offers an ever-evolving menu featuring unique toppings like truffled mushrooms atop goat cheese or a zesty blue cheese blend enhanced by Louisiana hot sauce. Complementing these scrumptious toasts are hearty soups, stews, and seasonal drinks such as refreshing hibiscus fizz and creamy malts.
I was very excited to see this building brought back to life after moving here from nearby up Jefferson. We finally made it here for brunch this past weekend. The food was great! Really. French inspired dishes. Everything has nice flavors and good presentation. I like the variety it brings compared to the average regular place. Service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is a bit drab and the chairs are supremely uncomfortable. We'd definitely recommend trying this place.

Visiting St. Louis and my hubby picked this place for a quick brunch before I was leaving MO. Kudos to the chef/owner of this restaurant! Food was amazing and service was phenomenal. Had the Fluffer Nutter and the Tarte Flambé. My hubby doesn’t normally like food like this, but he was blown away. Not easy to convince him to like trendy type of food, but he will be back and taking his mother for both brunch and dinner (Friday, Sunday and Monday nights only).

Yaquis on Cherokee is a beloved gem nestled in the heart of the Cherokee Street community, where owner Francis Rodriguez has mastered the art of Neapolitan-style pizza. What truly distinguishes Yaquis is not just its crust, with its charmingly imperfect bubbles and blisters, but also the unique toppings like smoked pulled barbecue chicken drizzled with K.C.-style sauce. The inviting atmosphere of this former St.

Not sure how they managed to get rid of my one star review, but they did. I remember it like yesterday. 4/12/2015. I was waiting for a friend to go to a show at 2720 and he had the tickets. I went in for a drink while waiting for him. I was ignored over and over at the bar. Once I finally got a bartender, I gave him a $10 for a beer and he disappeared. I finally asked another bartender and was told he must have thought it was a tip and nothing she could do. He came back out and refused to acknowledge I was there and would go to the other end. Over taking $6 from me. I would have tipped and it is not about the $6 he stole. It is the principal of the ethics of the employee. Based on other reviews on here I wanted to get my review back on here. I am sure I will be told how bad I am like my last review. But Tauk at 2720 was great.

Stopped in tonight after an evening at Casa Loma. We were in the neighborhood after the show and needing a bite to eat. Stopped here for wood fired pizza and a drink. The drink menu was extensive and had a lot of options. I had the "mamarita" a tequila /Malbec cocktail and my husband had a Sazerac. The cocktails were fantastic. The pizza however was burned and had a lack of sauce. Very dry. Nonetheless we powered through. The bartender was friendly enough. When we left though we realized we were over charged and another patrons beer was on our tab. Definitely disappointed. We already were a bit concerned that we paid so much for an overdone pizza but to also pay for someone else's drink- very disappointed. I'd go for cocktails. Not for food.

The food was good. We had trouble getting service. When we did get service part of our order was 2 diet colas. The server went outside and walked around. We could see her through the windows. She came back in after a few minutes and filled 2 glasses with diet cola. We went outside and talked about how long that took until our food got there. Across the street on the corner was a 3 piece group playing and singing very well. We spent a lot of time outside and no one checked on us which was unusual but okay with us. This was our first time and I wonder if we will be going back.

Service too terrible to even stay for food. Came on Sat eve, no one inside so sat at a table outside and was reprimanded by the server for not checking in. Went inside to get menus and sat for a while and still not acknowledged. Maybe she was busy, but the attitude wasn’t necessary. Went down the street to Press and had a much better experience.

Fantastic pizza served in a small dining area, with great tributes to Josephine Baker wall-art. A padded bench with pillows lines the windows for great views, and there's sidewalk seating as well. Really good pizza!! Chewy crust, crisp pepperoni, flavorful sauce. Sweet staff. The antipasto platter was a huge disappointment though. It is listed on the menu as coppa, sorpressta salume, cheeses, olive medley, peppers, and bread. Instead I received deli salami and deli Swiss and Gouda cheese slices…like what I would buy at Schnucks. They did at least take half the price off the appetizer, but just know it won’t be what is listed.
Lauren C — Google review
I order from here about 6 times a year, usually through DoorDash. I've never had a problem until tonight as far as quality and being excited to get my pizza. I order the pepperoni most times. The pizza comes how the menu says: red sauce, pepperoni, and fresh mozzarella. Tonight it came with shredded mozzarella (which is usually how it is) and then pieces of parmarsan? ramano cheese? (some hard shredded cheese that isn't supposed to be on there, hasn't been on there before, and isn't on the menu,) an NO "fresh mozzarella." Like I said I get this all of the time; red sauce, pepperoni, shredded mozzarella cheese, and some blobs of "Fresh mozzarella." So instead I got this greasy pepperoni pizza with no fresh mozzarella, and some nasty graded cheese. Guess I won't be ordering from here anymore.

We stopped on a whim and the pizza is superb Neapolitan style. SO GOOD. If you like real Italian pizza, wood fired with fresh ingredients, this is the place. The app we had was also delish!!! Service was slow at the beginning, i won’t lie I think they forgot about us, but the food was out fast! the restaurant was pretty empty and I know from being in the service industry that when it’s slow, you make the most mistakes like forgetting you have a table, etc. If they step up on the service and maybe do a menu design redo (call me lol) they have such a gem.

Tivoli makes one of the best brick oven pizzas in St. Louis. Small and cozy place. We have been here since they opened the restaurant and the food was always exceptionally good.
Amir K — Google review
Ever since the new owner took over few years ago its never been the same. This is supposed to be Neapolitan Pizza, this is not it. First they use a machine to make the pizza shape out of the dough, which will never give it the Neapopotan shape. They use less real mozzarella than the previous owner and a lot of their cheese has been substituted for typical American processed cheese. I wish they would've kept everything the same. The previous owner did show them how to make the pizza. The Margherita pizza I got was super thin, crunchy, super thin slized of Mozzarella. It wouldve never passed in Italy. The previous owner made a nice round Neapolitan shape pizza with globs of Mozzarella, not just tiny thin slized mozzarella. Their pizza is NOT bad, but pricey for what they offer and nowhere near good as what it USED TO BE. Hopefully the new owner sees this review and calls the previous owner to re-train them on how to make proper Neapolitan Pizza.
Tahir S — Google review
I go here every few months to get some traditional style pizza. Simple ingredients for a nice change of pace from the more Americanized stuff you get everywhere else. Service is good and they have a surprisingly good draft beer selection for a pizza place. Good choice for a date night or classy, yet casual, dinner with friends.

Some pizza chef once told in a famous Netflix show that ‘Trash in - Trash out’. That is, if you put all trashy ingredients and try to make your pizza, it will ultimately result into a trashy pizza! These people understand, and take the pizza making art very seriously. This Neapolitan pizzeria has all the ingredients extremely fresh, and top class. The pizza came brighter, tastier, and full of flavours. The pizza base was fluffy, and soft. The topping materials ( salami, etc) was superb, and perfectly complemented by the red onions. And the cheese was simply the best. Overall, the pizza was great. The place looks casual, informal, and laid back. The service was pretty decent as well. I highly recommend them.

The Famous Bar, a 26-year-old North Hampton establishment, offers handcrafted cocktails and cigars in a lively atmosphere. It may not be the trendiest spot in town, but it consistently delivers a fun experience. The bar is known for its great bloody marys and martinis, as well as its ability to cater to various moods and vibes. With an aesthetic that maintains the integrity of a historical building from the 1900s, it's considered a hidden gem of South City.
Fantastic craft cocktails and beers. Staff is great, professional, knowledgeable and helpful when choosing drinks. Two pool tables and just a great spot to grab a drink or hang out!

A great dive bar with awesome martinis. They have Billiards as well! The bartends are pretty cool and the drinks are decently priced. You’ll have to check out if you’re looking for fun bar vibes.

This restaurant is a culinary dream. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and made from the freshest ingredients. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, providing great recommendations throughout our meal. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the overall vibe was perfect for a cozy night out. I’ll be coming back soon

Cute St. Louis dive bar. It's been the Famous Bar at least 25 years and was a bar before that. It has poker tables and minimal snacks (m&ms, jerky, crackers) and you can bring your own food in. Known for its martinis and bloody Mary's. There's street parking or a small parking lot in back.
Casey P — Google review
Ahhhh, the Famous Bar. I loved loved loved going here 15 years ago. Now, I love it again! Great local feel with fun upscale drinks. They have great "fu fu" martinis: the peach penguin is my favorite and comes with a gummy in the bottom, the miami is a close second. I have never had another Bloody Mary that comes close to thier "famous" mary, it tastes like your eating a steak! I remember loving one with a picked greenbean, years ago, too.

Chill dive bar, but it can be hard to get a drink when they're busy. When you finally do, they're delicious and affordable.

The shop offers an engaging and beautiful atmosphere, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to assist customers in finding the perfect wine, gourmet foods, beer, and gifts. Visitors praise the wonderful selection of cheese, deli-style sandwiches, assorted jams and jellies, as well as chocolates to pair with their amazing selection of wines.
Stopped here for lunch. Got the prosciutto cotto and daily special Italian beef sandwich. The sandwiches were delicious and the staff were super friendly. Store also has a great inventory of wine, liquors, and unique items. Lovely place and friendly staff.

My newest discovery.. wonderful cheese store! It's so nice to go into a place that actually has a decent cheesemonger.. picked up a wonderful blue cheese and a really nice wash. Rind. They also have a nice selection of prosciutto that I'll be coming back to check out.

Sardella is a charming Italian-inspired cafe that offers a delightful dining experience. The interior is reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast, with blue and white Mediterranean tiles adorning the walls, complemented by vibrant orange banquettes and shelves adorned with preserved citrus and cookbooks. The open kitchen is decorated with colorful sardine cans as a nod to its namesake.
Excellent brunch. The cacio e pepe eggs dish is a very creative combination of the flavor of a pasta dish with eggs (no pasta is in this dish). The glazed donuts are very good and the coffee is fresh. There is outside seating, but if it is windy, there is no protection.
Nabil F — Google review
The service was really good. The food was prepared nicely with good portions. The only detractor is that it gets really loud when the restaurant gets mostly full so everybody sounds like they talk over each other. after a long day at work I had to put in headphones just to help dull the noise. so good place for lively conversation, but not one if you were going to have a quiet, private night.
Green M — Google review
Loud ambience but brilliant none the less. Ricotta Gnocchi was outstanding. Went back for brunch and food was spot on. Ordered the Cacio e Pepe Eggs and Sardella’s take on Chicken and Waffles (which is Fried Chicken on Toast). Both were delicious. Coffee was also well executed.
Leo C — Google review
Thanks Sardella for providing a great experience! Best Breakfast in STL. I'll say it. From staff, food, and ambiance, this place can wow a breakfast enthusiast. Well thought-out menu , with a variety of breakfast/ brunch items. The eggs Benedict ravioli was a wow factor and amazing. That hollandaise sauce. Wow.

Went for Sunday Brunch. Very interesting and tasty breakfast choices. Service was very pleasant. Food was very good. Very relaxed and casual setting. Was not a fan of the espresso, cappuccino, was little bitter and beans over roasted.

In a hurry but still want to eat something fresh and delicious? That’s Sardella for me. I was here last time happily enjoying my salad when my mom offered me to try her mushroom hamburger. I have to say, I don’t normally eat meat or any hamburger, but excuse me this was scrumptious!!! Unbelievable!! I’m serious, next time in town will be my first meal, no kidding. Love the decor and all details. At night I recommend doing reservations. Gets crowded.
Crissy L — Google review
This is a great brunch spot. A good variety of items. Some sweet. Some savory. All delicious. Also their donut is amazing. Get one. Maybe two. They’re worth it. Trust me.
Joe I — Google review
Having only eaten the brunch here, mostly everything that I've tried was beyond excellent. The sweets are clearly made by a skilled pastry chef and are far beyond the quality you'd expect from a regular restaurant. The menu options aren't the most attractive, but you'll be pleasantly surprised by what comes out once you order. There's plenty of fresh veggies and good flavor combinations. However, I do find the breakfast potatoes to be a bit underwhelming. Sardella has a beautiful atmosphere and friendly service. I'd certainly consider it to be one of the better places to dine in Clayton!

Pagan Wine Bar is a popular spot for wine lovers in the city. The bar has a wide variety of wines to choose from, and the staff is knowledgeable about their products. There's also a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax after a long day.
Pagan Wine Bar in Central West End is a bookstore. No wait, it’s a wine bar. Tucked away but right there in front of you, it’s a quirky, offbeat spot. The cocktails here are unique concoctions. The bar itself can accommodate probably 25 people. It’s very small and intimate. The group of five of us had such a great time. My drink is fantastic.
Sara G — Google review
I met some family and friends at this cute and quaint little wine bar. My drink was delicious. I highly recommend if your looking for a nice, chill, low-key place to have a drink.
Crystal T — Google review
The drinks are not super memorable, but the environment is so nice and cozy, and that by itself is worth going back for. It does get pretty loud and crowded depending on when you go.
Bronwyn M — Google review
Love the vibes in this place - dark with beautiful decor and lights. The cocktails took a while (we were there at 9pm on a Friday night so not that surprising), but they we're ALL quite tasty.
Megan V — Google review
What an amazing place!! Ed (who is awesome) has created a wonderful environment. Small bar that's easy to miss if you aren't looking. The only signage is on the door. Max capacity is like 25 people. Ed is the owner, bartender, server, etc. He's it. The drinks were delicious. The music is laid-back and smooth. The decor is classy and smart...red and blue lighting creates a purple tone. Wood bar, walls, and chairs. Leather chairs and sofa. Highly highly recommend a visit!!
Micki — Google review
Just a fun time, what more can I say. Mainly had cocktails and each was better than the last. The bartenders Phil and Elliot were also entertaining to chat with at the bar. I was expecting a wine bar vibe from the name but I would consider it more of a dive bar, which is exactly what I was looking for. Try the green dragon!
Andy F — Google review
Customer service was excellent, they make sure you get the best experience. Ed the bartender was non stop at his craft. And his skill and passion you tasted in every sip. I had the lavender sidecar as recommended by locals and I have to say it was the best cocktail ive ever had. Worth the wait for the drinks only due to first come first serve. Drinks were beautifully made and just as delicious. The Drinks are very strong but the liquor does not mask the flavors of the mix. One of a kind bar, will definitely come back anytime I’m in the area. Small capacity so get there before they open. Thank you Pagan for making our experience so wonderful! Good vibes and even better drinks!

Proposed here to my fiance. The food was excellent. I called ahead of time and the staff was extremely accommodating. We were able to watch a firework show during our meal and the hotel's pastry chef personally came to our table. Excellent experience.

This review is for the brunch only. Servers were very helpful, and everyone was friendly. View is decent as well. Food was good but not $50/person good in St Louis. So unless you plan on eating your weight in shrimp, you might want to go elsewhere for your brunch. (Or grab a Groupon!)
Jonathan F — Google review
It's a lovely place. Service is great prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. Food taste and quality was not impressive at all! We ordered four of their pastas. Two of them were overwhelmingly salty! Next time I go here it's for the view, drinks and appetizers; not dinner.
Nima E — Google review
Had a groupon for their brunch service. We didn't have a reservation so we opted to sit at the bar. Glad we did because our bartender was great! The view of the city was amazing even for a cloudy day! There were plenty of options for all dietary needs and all were delicious!
Quise E — Google review
We ordered butternut squash soup and were given summer squash soup instead. It was good, but not what we were expecting. My husband ordered the tour of Italy, which included a glass of perseco. It never arrived. I ordered braised beef risotto. There was one tiny piece of beef in the dish about the size of the tip of my little finger. So basically, I paid $24 for a bowl of rice. Because it was my husband's birthday, we were told his dessert would be complimentary. It was on the bill and I had to ask them to remove it, which they did. In spite of these things, the food was flavorful.

Wine bar
Remy's Kitchen & Wine Bar is a warm-toned Mediterranean restaurant with an expansive space, featuring a dining counter and wine bar. The place has been recognized as a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winner twelve times. It takes pride in offering an extensive and creative wine list while maintaining a relaxed and whimsical atmosphere. Customers can enjoy small and large plates, including polenta fries that are highly recommended. The restaurant also offers wine flights for those looking to explore different options.
The small plates were a good way to try more food for a decent price. The polenta fries were surprisingly the best fries I’ve ever had. The wine flights were a nice touch. The snobs that go there were a little annoying but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Overall, a great place!
Bee H — Google review
Excellent food and wine list. Knowledge wait staff. We " dropped in" without a reservation on a recent visit and they squeezed us in. Ended up visiting with the chef and comparing notes on the local food movement in St. Louis and Tulsa! Great place!
Melissa B — Google review
My girlfriend and I went here because we had a $30 gift card. The service was slow for a Monday night at 6pm with about 20% of the restaurant occupied. The food was really good but overpriced for the portions you receive. We split the Belgian Endive salad and ordered the veal meatballs and the trout special for entrees. The wine selection was just okay, they were out of several of the wines and they have a very limited beer selection. No draught beer and no beers from Urban Chestnut or 4Hands. It also lacked the atmosphere and experience that you would expect when compared to other tapas restaurants like Mosaic, Robust, and Taste. I have been to all 3 of these restaurants on many occasions and would recommend you try first these restaurants before Remy's.
David F — Google review
What a perfect place for dinner! The food was magnificent, the decor exquisite, and the service phenomenal. For the record, Jim K. is a top notch waiter and you can trust his recommendations. I don't know when I will return to Clayton, but when I do, Remy's is on the itinerary.

Wine flights were a great bargain for the price and the small plates were a delicious mix. Although I’m not sure the food is exceptional, it was definitely good. We highly suggest the smoked salmon on toast.
Carolyn C — Google review
So staff seats us then about 5-10 min later they finally tell us they have no high chairs available (not that they were all used... they had NONE). What restaurant would do that when you check in with a 2 yr old... on Mother's Day weekend. Blessing in disguise though because we found an amazing spot no less then 2-3 blocks away. Too many amazing options in town to waste time here.
A D — Google review
I'm so disappointed with where this restaurant has gone. It used to be superb. But I had my third mediocre meal in a row today (stale bread on a sandwich among other things) and the server kept us waiting for our bill and then just brought it and left without a word. My business acquaintance and I, who have met their regularly for years, decided today that this was our last rendezvous there.

Carefully curated collection of Australian and Californian wines with a wide selection of American and international cheeses, as well as craft beers. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating to their guests. Their recommendations for wine were spot on for us, cannot wait to go back to see what next they recommend! They have a delightful small grocery area with locally sourced goods, for example whiskey, gin, and food dips. I also noticed they carry local artists work in store available for purchase. We grabbed a bottle of wine and a cheese spread to go to enjoy an outstanding evening in. We recommend the Dandelion Vineyards Shiraz-Reisling paired and honestly any of the cheeses. Thrilled that this place popped up in the Shaw neighborhood so we can drop in all the time. 10/10 recommend, will be returning.
Tay L — Google review
I finally had the opportunity to patronize this establishment after many years of living in the neighborhood. I always wanted to come, but could never catch it during business hours. Well, tonight my younger daughters were in the parish basement for a girlscout meeting, and my adult daughter and I decided to pop over. I was so excited! Well, my excitement wasn't matched. The owner was VERY dry. I tried to make small talk with her because I'm a "friendly Bob", but that exchange was not reciprocated. I asked a few questions trying to decide what I wanted, but all I received was dry answers. It was as though our very presence offended her. I'll admit, I was having some issues locating my card that I had just used somewhere else. She rudely and abruptly told me that "they were closed, and she wanted to close up." Mind you, there were 4 other customers casually enjoying their experience at that time. I didn't realize it was near closing upon entry. We merely saw lights on and people and naturally assumed they were open. My daughter paid, and we left. Her attitude was very dismissive, and I haven't been made to feel that way in a very long time! Lucky me!!! My feelings were actually a bit hurt. I'm not sure if it was because we came in near closing, but as a department store owner, we encounter late customers all of the time, and we welcome ALL of them. To be honest, I only made a purchase because I wanted to support, but her attitude made me feel as though she would have preferred NOT to have my business. As a side note, the four people were still in there a half hour after we were abruptly dismissed because she wanted to close up. I suppose we weren't the desired customer base. That's the only thing I can figure. Strangely enough, I lived in the Shaw neighborhood for 25 years and always believed it to be a kind, welcoming, inclusive community...hmmmm...This pic was taken at 6:24 when I was sitting in the car waiting for my girls to finish Girl Scouts, by the way... UPDATE: After reading your response, I have adjusted my rating. I will take into consideration that perhaps I read your personality incorrectly. I wasn't bothered that you didn't have the wine I prefer. I was going to support anyway because I came in. I was determined to find SOMETHING to buy! To be fair, we watched the other 2 female customers come in right before us. That's how I noticed that you were still open. They closed up their business a few doors down and came to your establishment. The person you were sitting with after we left may have been a distributor, but the other two ladies certainly were not. We watched them leave and check on their business. Either way, you are indeed entitled to close at your scheduled time; however, perhaps you should be more conscientious as to how you come off to your customers. A little kindness goes a LONG way. Try a little tenderness because things happen; hence, me misplacing my card. We arrived at 5:50 unaware that you were closing in 10 minutes. I apologize. We rang out at 6:05. I apologize if you feel that I wasted any of your time. On a separate note, the cheese was really good!
Tiana J — Google review
I have been here twice. It's not bad. I like the service and small footprint. The wine selection and tasting, when available is good. They even have cheeses. It's worth stopping by, for sure.

Found this place during our trip to St Louis for a wedding day outside and enjoyed terrific wine with our friends. What impressed me most was the obvious attention to detail the owner (I asked) put into creating a safe-server doorway and how meticulously clean the store was. Bocci Wine & Tapas Bar is a vibrant Italian wine bar that offers a diverse selection of modern small plates and main dishes, expertly paired with an array of wines from around the globe. Notably, the bar is committed to serving wines at their optimal tasting temperatures, ensuring an exceptional experience for patrons. The establishment also boasts a cutting-edge stainless steel keg dispensing system that utilizes nitrogen and argon to maintain the freshness of its wines.
My husband and I loved this place! We started with the Meat and Cheese plate - for $18 you certainly get a heaping plate of food! The sausage was my favorite by far. But the salami and prosciutto (or was it ham?? It had a lot more flavor than any prosciutto I've tasted) very pretty great, as well. There was also blue cheese, a very sharp cheddar, a gouda and mustard. The bread it was served with was soft of the inside, but with a chewy crunch on the outside. Next, we shared the sliders. They were covered with one of the thickest slices of cheese I have ever seen on a burger! I think the cheese was called a sharp cheddar, but I have to say it wasn't quite a sharp as I really like. However, the burger was so juicy and flavorful on it's own that the cheese preference didn't even matter! My husband also ordered the Seafood Crepes, which were huge! He said they were quite good, but not as absolutely amazing as everything else we'd already had. The service was great and the atmosphere was dark and romantic. We can't wait to bring our best couple friends back here with us for a night of fantastic food!

My boyfriend and I were very excited to try Bocci Bar for the first time and lets just say we were a little disappointed.......... We were expecting a romantic and delicious Valentine's Day dinner and found ourselves leaving hungry and calling IMO's to order a pizza after! No joke! The service was awful, waited about 30 minutes to receive 2 glasses of wine and another 30 minutes to order our salad. Lets not even talk about the actual meal. We ordered the large plate of red snapper which wouldn't even fill a 3yr. old, my boyfriend took maybe four bites and was finished. I ordered the shrimp and pasta which contained 2 shrimp and basically noodles with no sauce. I took about five bites and was disgusted with it! Overall, very poor service and no flavor to the food. When spending over $100 on a meal for two you should not have to order a pizza afterwards ;) 1 out of 5 stars!
