Nice enough museum but lots of work going on so it will greet bigger and better I am sure. I was trying to find the aerial pictures of Bahrain over the ages that I’d seen before but couldn’t find them ☹️ maybe next time!

Though small, the museum is clean and well-organized. Entry costs 1.1 BHD, and you’ll need around 30 minutes to go through the exhibits. A good short visit for anyone interested in local history.

Well laid out informative museum, good boat trip over to Pearling Walk from outside museum. Gives you a real education into history and customs of Bahrain. Theatre and Art Gallery adjacent. Need an Uber or taxi to get there as quite isolated from public transport. Only 1BD to enter.

Great museum especially the Dilmun burial exhibition! Entry was only 1.1 BHD. Perfect for a hot afternoon

Very beautiful masjid. Large space and very detailed architectural design. Very good maintenance. You have to be patient with the people Due to more crowds on Friday prayer, because take out your car from parking will take time.

Beautiful grand mosque, for up to 7,000 people. The entrance is free and they provide you appropriate Arabic clothes if you are not dressed according to their standards. There is a quick free tour as well. Definitely worth a visit while in Bahrain.

Al-Fateh Grand Masjid is truly breathtaking. Its architecture is magnificent, the atmosphere serene, and the spacious prayer hall radiates warmth and tranquillity. The staff and guides are welcoming and knowledgeable, making the visit both spiritually uplifting. A must-visit for anyone coming to Manama. Friday khutbah is translated from Arabic to English

An absolute must when visiting Bahrain. Dress appropriately. We were given robes & scarves & enjoyed a free private tour by a volunteer. He was so informative & the interior is stunning. We were able to discreetly watch the call to midday prayers & the followers.

A very large mosque. During prayer times, there are many worshippers. The car park next to the mosque is very large, but on Friday it was completely full of cars. As you can see, worshippers hold this place in very high regard. If you want to see what it looks like inside, you will have to choose another day.

An impressing mosque and great place to go. I had an official guide employed by the bahraini government who explained a lot of details. Although I have been to other mosques I got to know more about the religion and culture. Make sure that you are there with an official guide.

When we visited the Mosque, we were able to join a small English speaking group for a short tour. The guide gave a brief introduction to Islam as well as pointing out the salient features of the inside of the building. We were able to witness the call to prayer being delivered during our visit. Appropriate clothing is provided if one is inappropriately dressed.

I visited in the mid afternoon of Tuesday so most of the stalls are closed. It's cozy in there, and you can see there are so many souvenir shops and authentic local products. There is a taxi waiting area outside, and the drivers resting there are so friendly, one even gave me a cup of cold water. I will try to visit at night time for a different vibe

My Go-To Spot for Truly Fantastic Tea If you're looking for an incredible cup of tea near Babul Bahrain, look no further than The Tea Club. I'm a regular here for a reason—their tea is nothing short of mind-blowing. The quality and taste are consistently top-notch. It's the kind of tea you crave and keep coming back for. The atmosphere is perfect for a quick stop or a relaxing break. I highly recommend this place to all tea lovers. You won't be disappointed!

Really cool museum with SO many Qurans from different time periods. All the different exhibits were really interesting and well laid out. The architecture of the building itself is really cool and clean. If you enjoy history museums — add this to your list!

A visit to Beit Al-Qurān is highly recommended for anyone visiting Manama, whether for spiritual reflection, cultural interest, or simply to witness the beauty of Islamic history preserved with such care and excellence. May Allāh bless all those involved in maintaining this remarkable institution.

I'm sure it's beautiful. It looks beautiful on the outside but it will be closed from the 1st of July to the 31st of August 2025 for maintenance.

REQUEST: This is a great place. There is a lot to learn about Islamic history here. Actually, I have never visited here. But I planned to visit on Friday, my day off. But it is closed on Friday. This is unacceptable. Because most people would like to visit here on Friday, their day off. So I would like to ask the authorities to think about keeping it open on Friday. Note: I have given it 1 star now. However, if I can ever visit or it opens on Fridays, I will edit it and give it 5 stars.

Very beautiful museum, where you can find old copies of Quran from all over the world (except the new worlds such as America and Ocenia). There are copies of Quran from Europe too that were printed in Switzerland back in the 16th century. Amazing to know about this! The entrance costs 1 BD and on the left there is a small masjid where Muslims can pray. There is also wudu area.

It was an interesting visit, you can see how the quran was preserved and written through the different timings, specially the section where western showed interest in translating the Quran into different languages just for the sake of sharing different culture and religion

The place is very cosy and not very big. You can finish it in under 30 minutes depending on how detailed you want to be. It has a vast collection of Qurans from the very early 1st century of Islam up to modern copies. Don't miss it. Admission is free and donations are welcomed. The museum has a mosque attached to it. The only reason I gave it four stars because it does not have any interactive exhibits, also, you can't see any staff, most probably because the admission is free and they don't have enough funds.

Very nice place for commercial offices, restaurants and coffee shops - but may be equally expensive. Very good views of City and Sea from high rise floors. Very well managed. Security. There are places to drink coffee and service offices.One of the most beautiful buildings in Bahrain. Best architecture example. Twin towers parking in the basement. Nice and helpful staff. Even the interior of the building is wow. Has residency, supermarket, offices and office for Ministry of Industry. Located in the heart of the city. Opposite BabAlBahrain. One of the most beautiful theatres in the world. I have travelled and been to theatres this is by far the best in my view. Beautiful. One advice do take a jacket or shawl even in the summer the AC is way too cold inside.

Bahrain National Theater is an amazing place! For me it is an architectural masterpiece! In the evening, it seems as if this building is floating on the waves. The interior refers to wooden fishing boats. The shapes of balconies, armchairs, balustrades... remind me of musical instruments. The play of light is amazing! The only minus - a very expensive cafe.

The Bahrain National Theatre is one of those places that feels special from the moment you arrive. This is an amazing place. It has 1001 seats reflecting the 1001 nights. Also, the wood covering the walls is made from the same wood that the traditional Bahraini dhows

One of few forts in Bahrain worth visiting. The fort is quite small, yet has good views to the sea. There are some old stores and boats on-site, too. Maintain care when you walk inside the fort as the land is sandy at times and rocky at others. Tickets are bought at the entrance by cash or card, and are priced at 1 BHD. They have ample parking outside. Expect to spend no more than 30 minutes. The fort is very close to a shopping mall and a park.

I enjoyed seeing Arad Fort but there isn't much to see. Essentially there is one curator that sits near the parking lot and you can walk through the fort as you wish. I spent about 30-45 minutes here and saw everything. I also had the Fort to myself the entire time which was pretty cool. There isn't much overhead cover here so I recommend bringing your own water, sunscreen, and a hat. Parking is close to the fort as well, maybe 50m away. The entrance is a nice spot for pictures in the afternoon.

Small fortress that was built during the Portugal occupation to Bahrain. It speaks the history of that period. Free entry, no tickets. No tour guide. The only entrance to the fortress area is through the parking lot in front of Seef Mall Muharraq

Well maintained and located at a very nice location, sunset would be the best time to visit. Its quite spacious, there is a nice view of the beach but nothing much otherwise. Entry was free and plenty of parking available outside.

Bahrain Pearling Path is a little wonder as it will take you on a path to discovery of the story of Muharraq of the roads, paths, houses and life of the village. It’s starts with the visitor center where they have restored the old houses and gives us glimpses of how the life used to be.

Must try. It’s a 3.5 km walk one side. I walked full. Fortunately there was an event happening and there were lot of locals doing the night walk, along with many events, activities. Amazing local experience. The houses are well maintained and curated beautifully. Glimpse of life before oil where they relied on pearl.

Best to go during cooler hours and wear comfy shoes—there’s a lot to see. Whether you’re into history, architecture, or just looking for a scenic walk, this is totally worth it. A great way to slow down and experience Bahrain’s heritage.

Valerio Olgiati’s Pearling Path Visitor Center in Muharraq, Bahrain is a vast, monolithic canopy that shelters the remains of an old marketplace building. A grid of slender columns and abstract wind-tower volumes holds aloft a single concrete plane, creating a cool, shaded “urban room” beneath. Rather than imitating vernacular forms, it asserts an autonomous, non-referential logic: the ruin remains intact below, the new canopy floats above, and no stylistic narrative is imposed. The resulting space is simultaneously monumental and open, inviting public life while acknowledging the site’s historical layer—yet never reducing it to mere symbolism.

It's give wonderfull vibes, such a wonderful display of their roots, a fav spot to visit everytime I visit Bahrain.

Interesting, but small. Can go through it in about 15 mins. Wish there was more information considering this was an important part of livelihood at one time. There is a walking path that would take a couple hours to complete. Map of path at visitor center.

Enjoyed finding out about the pearling history. Easy to follow and enjoyed wandering around the different buildings and finding out about how pearls were harvested and the efforts made to make a living in this industry.

A fun place for families and kids, with a nice mix of rides. There’s something for all age groups—from gentle rides for little ones to more thrilling ones for older kids and teens. The area is clean, and the staff are helpful. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, so visiting on a weekday is more relaxing. Food stalls and seating areas are available, making it easy to spend a few hours here. A good spot for a casual day out with family or friends.

One of the best Park for fun, enjoy and entertainment, plenty of rides to board, mini golf area, padel boating, dodging cars and lot more, very nice Park for family especially for kids. 0.5 BD is entry ticket and 7.7 BD pass for maximum 3 different rides, and each ride can be taken max 3 times. Superb Park for lots of fun, very well maintained, clean and tidy.

Adhari Park in Manama is a great spot for family fun, offering a mix of indoor and outdoor rides, games, and food options. It’s perfect for kids and enjoyable for adults too. Some rides may need maintenance, but overall, it’s a fun and lively place to spend an evening.

Visited the Adhari Park venue for the first time. It's a lovely place especially for kids to play. We visited the Hall where the Durga Puja was held. Very spacious and clean.

Has both outdoor and indoor activities. There was a package of about 7BD which allows 3 rounds of each activity. The rides are limited and does not provide much activities for younger kids; so if you are coming with a family of different ages, it may be a challenge. One more thing, I don’t think the staff has any training on guest interaction . From the time you come to the reception, a rather cold, robotic person explains a list of pricing which just goes over your head. It would be better to have notices on pricing. The ride attendants have no business serving customers - who are mostly young people. There was zero warmth and most looked like they would rather be somewhere else! A fun park should have the right ambience- and getting the right staff and training them to serve and create a fun environment is a priority. Get your recruitment process right. When I was checking on height limit for my child to enter the ride, the staff did not even look at me and said, ‘No!’ When I told him that I do respect the security decision but he could at least say it politely, he simply barked back at me and repeated ‘No’, when I was not even disputing it. One exception was the staff at the Japan Coast who seemed genuinely interested in keeping his customers happy. Overall ok place to go, if they will improve on customer service!

I went there during a public holiday, the place is big, clean and lovely. Most of the games are for people above 140 cm in height. so my children didn't get a chance to play, but there is a play area for kids with electronic games. The fees was 0.500 fils per person because of the festival, then you can charge your card with any amount.

Amazing park with great view of downtown Manama, as well as Bahrain international Airport. There’s is a beautiful lagoon in the centre with a walkway running along the perimeter. Perfect for an evening stroll with your loved ones!

Awesome place for walking and running!! There's about 1.6 km of soft flooring laid out and you really feel like you're in a park when running there since there are many trees and flowers to your right and a lagoon to your left with loads of mangrove trees !! Lots of birds come here, too. There's also grassy areas for working out. There are seats scattered around and shaded areas for those hot days. Great to see the greenery here is looked after and maintained. There's also a kids playground. You will hear planes since it's close to the airport, but it's not a big deal. The first 40 minutes are complimentary, and after that, it costs 0.300 fils per hour for parking. Worth it for sure!

Lovely place for the family. Great track for running and it's marked as well so you can tell how many km you have ran. There's a park for the kids and some restaurants to eat if you feel hungry. It's really nice in the evening and many families come on the weekend to enjoy the atmosphere.

This is an AMAZING park and walking path. You do have to pay a very tiny sum for parking but it’s for sure worth it. The walking path is very long and has great views all along. There are many trash cans available so the place was clean. Great views. Of you don’t want to walk, the park section was also great. A great place for families, friends, and singles.

Great place. The only place where there's a bike trail. Yeah it's a VERY SMALL BIKE TRAIL but that's probably the only trail you'll find in Bahrain.

The Sail Monument is a monument honoring pearl diving, one of Bahrain's most significant industries. It is bordered by hotels, business establishments, banks, and other diplomatic structures and faces out over the Sheikh Isa Bin Sulman Causeway. The monument is made up of two enormous dhow sails that are shaped like two shells encircling a pearl. When it is illuminated at night, it is very stunning

A monument exactly at the signal near to the diplomaat area . And Very near to the paksitan embassy in Bahrain. I believe it is relocated in 2011 after the construction of the bridge toward Bahrain bay.

Al Khamis Mosque is one of the first mosques in Bahrain. Open between 12 and 5 o'clock. There are open and closed areas. In open areas, some sections are covered with glass. There is no written explanation as to why this is so. But later we learned that it was built that way because it was a cemetery. Since the mosque area was under restoration, it was forbidden to go near it. The environment was quiet and calm. Entrance was free. You can access detailed historical information in the closed area.

One of the best historical landmarks in Bahrain , a must visit tourist place , its the oldest Mosque in Bahrain and one of the best tourist locations. A must visit for photography lovers to capture some nice historical architecture.Such a beautiful, historic gem in the middle of Bahrain. We went during the day and it was hot and humid and we were the only people there. We didn’t spend more than 20 minutes there but we absolutely loved it.

From an information plaque in the 'visitor center'. "The Al-Khamis mosque is the oldest extant mosque in Bahrain, and as such has a very special identity on the islands. The buildings we see today dates largely from the 12th to 13th centuries CE, tradition claims the original mosque was built in the early 8th century CE. The area in which the mosque stands is Bilad al-Qadim, which translates as "The Old Town" or "The Old Country", and history and archaeology show that people have been living here since at least the 8th Century CE." This is a nice site that has three main sections, first the entrance which hosts a small visitor centre where you can see aerial photos of the old town, gravestones, artefacts, old coins, gems, pearls etc. Next is a large open space where you can see remains of the old structures, a shrine (which has sadly collapsed) and then the Mosque itself. The pavement has a very gently slope so getting around is easy and the site can be completed by wheelchair or buggy (not including inside the mosque). The entire site is really well maintained and spotlessly clean. There are two minarets that you can enter and climb to see out of the windows but these are very narrow and small so adults may struggle getting in. Overall its a very enjoyable site and well worth a visit if you have never been before. Entrance is free as is parking, there are toilets on site and you don't need to either wear a head covering for women and shorts are OK for men. Please be aware that there is a 3 meter deep well close to the footpath that is not fenced off, something to bear in mind if you have young children that like to run ahead. Great for photography.

Very ancient masque is waiting for you to visit and enjoy your trip in Bahrain, but unfortunately we were not allowed inside by the security guards, they told us that today is Friday and the masque is closed for visitors after 4 pm while normally it remain open up to 5 pm, we took just few clicks from outside of the boundary wall. Do vhr before you go there.

A little piece of history in the middle of the modern day Bahrain. Believed to be the oldest mosque in Bahrain , it is preserved quite well. There is a visitors center, where more information about the Mosque and about the era can be found with lots of exhibits from the Khamis Mosque excavation along with footnotes as to what they represent and their significance in both Arabic and English. There is also an audio device which visitors can play in order to get an idea about the Mosque and the era. An interactive device which shows you the trade routes in the historic era is also found here. Apparently there is a guide present in the visitors section but was disappointing as he did not even bother to show around and explain. After existing the visitors center, it will lead you to the main Mosque section where you can explore it. You can also climb the minaret to get an Arial view. Suggest to visit in winter or after sunset at summer. It is a shame that not a lot of people visit this Mosque and that it is not promoted much.

This is a small park with a small waterbody inside . Well maintained . Nice place to come in evening with family and have a stroll. There are ducks, fish and birds, with a play area for kids . There is a minimal entry free but it’s very welcoming and comforting place to go.

A breath of fresh air — a true nature escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It felt amazing to be surrounded by lush greenery and water features. There were even ducks swimming in the pond, waiting hopefully for passersby to toss them some dried bread — such a delightful surprise! Although it was a bit of a challenge to find, it was absolutely worth it. The entrance fee is just 300 fils (cash or BenefitPay accepted), and the peaceful atmosphere makes it well worth revisiting. There's also a small café in the middle if you'd like a snack, or you can enjoy a picnic on the grass. Highly recommend for a relaxing day out.

The Water Garden in Manama offers families a refreshing escape within the city. A renovated and well maintained park in the heart of Manama city. Great for family and kids. Has a nice cafe too. Entry fee 300 fils. Has enough car parking.

It's a nice place for summer to spend time. 0.300 fils entry fee is worth as garden area is big, well maintained, small water area with water birds, kids playing area, restaurant, walking space, big parking facility and so many differenttypes of plants/trees.

Visited this lovely little art space with a friend recently and really enjoyed it. It’s got a super chill vibe — quiet, spacious, and perfect if you’re looking for a bit of downtime. There’s a nice cafe where you can grab a drink and just relax, and the garden area is such a peaceful spot to walk around. Lots of greenery, birds chirping… it’s honestly kind of therapeutic. The art gallery itself was spacious but interesting, and we basically had the whole place to ourselves since we went in the middle of the day on a weekday. It’s free to enter, which is always a bonus, and there’s some parking available nearby too. I’d definitely go back next time I need a quiet break from the city noise.

I discovered this place recently. It was truly a more beautiful place than I expected. I thought it was a single building, but I saw that there were other buildings as well. When you enter, there is a cafe on your right, an exhibition in the building on your left, and a library on the upper floor. If you wish, you can grab your coffee, read your book in the library, study, or sit outside in the garden. I found myself discovering new places every time I went to closely examine each section one by one. I saw that some places were still under renovation. It is quiet on weekdays and crowded on weekends. It is located in the mosque on the upper floor of the exhibition building. Prayer mat and prayer clothes are also available. I found myself outside, on the balcony of my house, experiencing a peaceful and calm feeling among the sounds of birds and nature. When ordering coffee, the credit card device is faulty, so they take payment in cash or cash. There are also sections selling souvenirs at the entrance and inside the cafe. I saw sockets in some places. You can bring your computer with you and find a socket to charge it. Being a nature lover, I was very happy to find Water Garden in Bahrain before. Now this place has almost become a Water Garden for me. Also, this place is very close to Water Garden.

Best place to be surrounded by nature and creativity. They have a nice Cafe that serves cakes, cookies etc in house, drink like coffees and teas. However it would be nice to have more exciting things on the menu like matcha and homemade ice teas which could attract a larger audience.

There are plenty of shops here. We wanted to rent a boat, but we ended up waiting for a long looong time. It would have been great if they had a reservation system or a website that is attached here in Google Maps so we could book a boat in advance..

Huge cinema with lots of choice of movies and seating. We had premium seats in a standard viewing which were fine but don’t feel you need to pay more for premium seats as the standard are the same, just a different colour! Food and drinks prices were ok for the cinema and service was swift. We had a regular popcorn, 2 coffees and 2 frozen drinks for 10BD (£20). Will definitely come back.

Seats? Comfy. Food? Surprisingly good. But here’s the deal: if the showtime says 5:40 PM, the movie should actually start at 5:40. Not 6:00. We didn’t come early to watch ads and lights flickering for 20 minutes. Respecting the audiences time is just as important as the popcorn.

The best cinemas in Bahrain in terms of screens and sound, I personally prefer the old style in terms of separating the ticket reservation counter from the food ordering counter because combining tickets and food causes delays and severe congestion. I hope the old style comes back. They added self-service but unfortunately with the addition of fees. I hope to cancel these fees. There is a problem with the queues as there is no organization and there are those who jump the queues from the sides and the leniency of the employees in addition to the leniency of some managers. I saw one of the managers reserving tickets for his friends without them standing in line and he brought them the payment device. This incident can be traced through the cinema’s surveillance cameras located next to the door of the counters at 12:10 AM on Friday, September 12, if the cinema management is interested in this matter.

My Experience in attending a movie in the IMAX cinema is extremely bad. Unfortunately there was light inside the cinema where you walk to sit on your desired chair. It's a completely wrong idea to place lights there. The people who sit in the lower zones are affected badly. I strongly suggest the management of VOX cinema to remove these lights or at least Dim it. So the people can really enjoy the movie. From now on . I would stick to the normal cinema mode till further improvement. The food service is really good . Booking everything online can save you a good time.

I attended an exhibition about CERN took place here. The exhibition was excellent, well organized and informative with much effort put into it. What made it nicer was the historical building that it took place in, that was a very well maintained and adjusted historical building to modern standards. This gives you a taste of the bahraini culture merged in modern era.

They cost 2BD for entrance and if you're Bahraini it's either free or 1BD. Very small place but overall really cute. They have a small area for souvenirs where you can buy jewelry, T-shirts, books etc.
