First time attending the practice as im new to the area and need a local dentist for regular appts. The dentist was very nice, informative and gentle. I felt like I was in good hands and made a good choice as I went through a list of dental practices and dentist to find the one that I would feel safe with. I would recommend the practice it’s very clean and all staff seem friendly.

Lovely practice, welcoming staff on reception and my dentist, John was fantastic! I have a lot of health issues and take a lot of medications which he took the time to check through and provide a really good thorough assessment on my first visit. Super impressed and so pleased, as the dentist is never a nice visit but I actually will look forward to my 6 monthly check up 😁 even met a lovely customer in there who I ended up giving a lift home when her taxi let her down.

I’ve been going to Kidsgrove Dental and implant centre for many years and even though I moved city’s I wouldn’t go anywhere else, so I travel over a 100 miles and always find it worth the effort, very firm but for my own good and do a great job even though I suffer from gum issues Gary and the staff always look after my gums and if I step out of place he doesn’t let it slip. I actually quite like going to be honest.I use Dent plan and it works out perfectly! I would highly recommend Gary and the Team Phil Green Age 62

Having visited a few dental practices regarding the work I wanted, I was impressed by Gary's honesty and felt that he really prioritised my teeth, whilst not trying to make money out of it. The staff have all been professional and friendly. The overall treatment provided by Gary has been excellent and outcome..amazing!! I would highly recommend Gary and will not hesitate to return.

Extremely friendly receptionist’s always try to help. My Dentist is Gary I cannot praise him enough for the patience he has with me I am an extremely anxious patient, Gary’s dental nurse is an absolute treasure so calming and so kind she is a credit to the practice well done.

Over the past three years, I have been a valued patient at Newcastle Dental Practice, initially seeking orthodontic treatment with Invisalign and subsequent cosmetic enhancements as required. My dentist, Yannis, has been an exceptional professional. His meticulous attention to detail has significantly improved my smile, and he has consistently provided comprehensive dental care. Without reservation, I highly recommend Yannis for both routine and cosmetic dental procedures. Throughout my appointments, various dental nurses have assisted Yannis. Each nurse has been supportive of his efforts, dedicated to their work, and exhibited exceptional care. The reception staff are always courteous and welcoming, greeting me with a smile upon my arrival. Scheduling appointments that accommodate my availability has been a seamless process. I find the treatment costs to be reasonable, and the costs are always clearly communicated before any work is performed. In summary, I cannot express my satisfaction with Newcastle Dental Practice. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice to any prospective patients seeking exceptional dental care.

Bearing in mind, this dental practice is a full private practice and not nhs service. the level of service, treatment, care and respect received as a patient and visitor to this practice was below average. However, I have some concerns about the dental practitioners who are based there. Dentist who provided treatment for my mother, was standoffish, pretended to carry out treatment on a tooth and left her face smeared with blood and tooth fragments. I had dental treatment carried out by a different dentist at the practice who placed a filling, the feeling cracked within a a week. I visited the dentist again who said that it cracked because too much fillling being applied and they could smooth the filling down, which did remove the cracked bulge. However I later felt a narrow sharp groove in the filling where it is meets the gum and a raised sharp edge towards the back of the same filling. The practice scheduled me in with a different dentist, as I did not want to go back to the same dentist again, they were very friendly and polite. During the appt they smoothed the filling a bit more and the sharpness was reduced. I could still feel the sharp groove above the gumline and voiced my concerns. Only to be told that the groove is ok as long as it is not causing cutting into my tongue or mouth??? Although the practice manager did her best to be courteous and helpful to me and arranged to have the issues with this filling sorted. I remain dissatisfied with the dental treatment provided. Main point being for a private practice who provides treatment at prices higher than other private practice they think it is acceptable to provide dental work which is passed off as “that’s OK as long as it is not hurting” is below any fee paying client’s expectations.

I had a wonderful experience when having treatment done by the amazing Emily. Emily and her team were super friendly and professional, making me feel at ease at all times. Emily made sure I was involved during the whole appointment and took the time to speak to me about my dental needs/issues.

I had an excellent experience at the dental practice today with Yannis and Molly. Both were incredibly thorough, professional, and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I fully understood my treatment options. I have been a patient at the practice for over 4 years. The reception staff are efficient and pleasant. I have seen a range of dentists and dental nurses. They have all been professional and I have received excellent care. I appreciate private dental care is not cheap, but so far, I feoe I have had value for money.

I would like to thank Dr Mak & Beth for my visit today, as everyone knows l have real anxiety over going to the dentist, when this week l broke a tooth so knew a visit was imminent, my anxiety was sky high, but they both put me at ease explained what was going to happen, never have l felt so calm and relaxed, instead of crying as usually happens, l was chatting away very relaxed and happy with what we agreed to do. I recently had a wisdom tooth removed by Dr Pav, I was very nervous but I needn't have worried! He was extremely kind and so was the dental nurse who assisted. They were patient,kind and very reassuring! Also the ladies on reception were very polite and friendly, they also told me not to worry as I would be in safe hands. Thank-you

I've been to this practice for the first time last month, & today for some treatment. As a sufferer from anxiety, I think this practice is brilliant. My dentist was Mack. What a lovely man, & made me feel as comfortable as I can be, & tried hard to ease my anxiety. I had a filling without an injection! I'm very impressed, & he was very gentle. My anxiety will be alot less, next time I visit

I went to this dentist as a private patient. I had not been to the dentist for some time and I explained over the phone and to the dentist that I am an extremely nervous patient. I had a cracked tooth that I wanted filling so I booked in for a full assessment and was told the dentist could fix my tooth at the same time. When I arrived everything was very rushed and I was told I was there for an emergency appointment and not an assessment which I had booked in for. X-rays were taken and the dentist looked at the X-ray obviously very shocked. I found this very concerning as it looked like he had found something very worrying. He said that the tooth next to the one I had made the appointment for was decayed and needed to be removed. I am not disagreeing with this assessment however I felt that this certainly did not warrant the reaction from the dentist at all. I felt humiliated and ashamed, especially as there were 2 assistants in there. I asked to speak to the dentist on his own. He was pressuring me and pushing me into making a decision to remove a tooth which is within my smile line. In the end I opted to not have any treatment done as is was close to having a panic attack. I paid £70 in total for an assessment that didn’t happen and no actual work done. I didn’t query this at the time as I was desperate to leave. I felt the dentist was very unprofessional in his reaction to the X-ray and how he was pressuring me to have a tooth removed that doesn’t need to be. This has really put me back in terms of working through my phobia. I am fully aware that work needs to be done so I forced myself to get a second opinion with another dentist. I have now seen another lovely dentist and In fact, the tooth does not need to be removed. I do need a root canal but fortunately I get to keep all of my teeth. I would never recommend this dentist to anyone and I have mentioned this practice to others who have also had poor experiences here. I would also recommend going with your gut when it comes to your health and getting a second opinion.

New patient here however I didn't like the way I was treated it's been 3 yrs since I last went to a dentist she told me I have gum desise at stage 2 said I needed a small filling but they couldn't do a filling she said because and I quote we don't fill dirty teeth bare in mind my teeth arnt Rotting or black I just thought wow really how rude ... Thank you for the letter so kind but she did say that about my teeth and told me to come back in 3 months when my teeth are clean if anyone wants to see the appointment date slip they are more than welcome to and refusing to do treatment because teeth are dirty until 3 months time is appalling and then i get sent a letter kicking me off the list because i spoke the truth its a good job im with another dentist and i will also now be making a formal complaint to nhs directly as clearly having an opinion gets you chucked off the dentist list be careful with these dentists as they are far from professional . .. reply to cherry orchard the practice manager has reached out to me no apoligy and removed me from the dentist register

Our son has autism and it took us a long time to find a dentist that would see him. Unfortunately on 2 occasions he has been unwell and unable to make the appointment which we called to cancel and rearrange in plenty of time and new appointments were made at the same time. Despite having a new appointment made on the phone no further communication was given until a letter was received stating he has been removed from the practice. Absolutely shocking and will actively be advising people to avoid this practice.

If I could give more stars I would! I wasn’t Registered to this dentist but had some pain and was struggling to get into an NHS dentist. I gave Middleton dentist a ring and straight away the service was fabulous- quick, polite and friendly over the phone. When I arrived everyone was welcoming and friendly. My dentist was Andrew and I can honestly say I’ve never met such a lovely professional person who works within the health care! From the minute I walked in he treated me with respect but also as if I was a friend/regular customer- this made me feel so comfortable! He explained everything in detail, he listened very well and consistently asked if I was okay and had any questions for him. And this was just the check up. They organised an appointment for the next day to fix my rotting tooth - he tried everything he possible could to save my tooth and succeeded. Most dentists would have just pulled it out but Andy wanted to ‘save it’ - which I was grateful for. It was painless and I felt very relaxed and taken care of. The room was filled with comfort, laughter and care (which you wouldn’t normal say at a dentist). Couldn’t recommend the whole team anymore if I tried.Thank you team Middleton!

I'm petrified of dentists after a bad experience when I was younger. I've even put off going many times. I then came to this dentist and they have been brilliant with me. They make me feel at ease, talk me through everything and always check I'm OK. They are quick and very professional and always take care of their patients. Thankyou middleton dental care.

Absolutely brilliant. I am petrified of dentists and was immediately put at ease by all staff members. I was unable to get a dentist and was suffering with tooth loss due to having Cushing's disease and Mr Middleton agreed to take me on. After an initial consultation it was decided I needed numerous extractions and a partial denture fitted,this was done over 2 visits. I am now able to smile again and can not thank Mr Middleton and his staff enough. Thankyou all x

Excellent Dental practice! I only moved here a couple of years ago because my dentist moved here to join the team and I wanted the same level of care, so I jumped ship also and followed him to Middletons! Didn’t have and still don’t have any trouble with my teeth! Would recommend them to anyone!

If I could give less stars I would. Took not even 5 mins for a check up, did no scale or polish even, thinks a cracked crown, which costs a lot, is acceptable! Not only do they not do the dental work right (even when paying privately!) But they also lie to you about the treatment you need (or more accurately DON'T need) & you end up having to go back to the NHS to get it fixed. Unbelievable how private dental work by Mr Middleton was "Not up to NHS Standard" Highly disappointed in this establishment...shall be making sure my mum gets proper treatment from now on!

I don’t understand some of the negative reviews. I am a long standing client and have nothing but praise for the whole team at Stoneyfields. If they were not up to scratch I would not return, but they are excellent. I requested an urgent appointment yesterday, was given one for today and have had my tooth repaired this morning in a professional and pleasant manner. I can’t ask for more. If I had failed to keep my appointment I would expect to have had to pay for the wasted time, that seems fair to me.

The most unprofessional, disgustingly rude Dentist I have ever come across. We have been patients at this practice for over 5 years. One missed appointment by my husband (the first one ever, which had been booked a year ago and no reminder sent), resulted in a £115 fine and threats of taking us to court. Nigel Hammond clearly has a few issues. He happily removed my husband, myself and our children from his books, just because of this. Extremely threatening emails were sent to my husband by Nigel himself, which I will more than happily share with anyone who wishes to see them. I could possibly forgive his rudeness if he was actually a decent Dentist. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

I had a consultation here and found the owner arrogant and dismissive . Also for what I required he bumped the price up significantly . I knew he was trying to over charge me. What was embarrassing is how rude he was to his assistant .. My intuition tells me this person needs to work on his issues and stop Projecting on to customers !! Dreadful experience .

Both myself and my wife have used this dental practice for over 40 years . We have always been seen in a most professional manner by both dentist and hygienist and cannot fault the service that they provide . We would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to anyone . David M

I booked in for a root canal and they carried out an excellent job with my back bottom tooth. I have had my local nhs dentist cause me some pain and felt like the where rough with work they have carried out on me. But here the work that was done was pain free and comfortable. The communication from here was good to. I would recommend this place for treatment and i will come back here for any other work. The price also is about average that i was charged. Many thanks guys for the treatment.

Nigel the practice owner booked my appointment for me 6 months in advance. I queried this at the time saying I wouldn't know that far in advance if I could attend due to work commitments. His response was that its only a placeholder date as a reminder and we would reschedule at the time if needed. I accepted this and now after being sent the reminder about my appointment I rang immediately to reschedule as I could see this clashed with work. I was greeted with a very rude and abrupt response saying that I couldn't have appointment for another 6 months but he also said that there would be no point as I would only ring at the time to cancel again as I don't know my working schedule that far in advance. So now I'm left with no appointment at all and a bad taste in my mouth (pardon the pun) with this practice, having a pleasant manner and a bit of understanding goes a long way.
