Started using this shop when High Lane Oatcakes changed hands and the quality dropped. I have to say I will be using this shop from now on. Oatcakes are spot on for me, as are the pikelets. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The go-to place for Oatcakes. I would recommend anyone to try for yourselves.

Fantastic place. I used to go high lane but when thay don't accept cash any more just card I've used them for years but not any more. Haywood oatcakes simply the best 👌 👍 😍 keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍

Best oatcakes in the Potteries I wont go anywhere else now. Top marks on taste, texture and thickness absolute perfection! All the staff are wonderful, very pleasant and welcoming. Try to go early whilst they're still making the Oatcakes they are phenomenal fresh off the grill and still hot.

Forget anywhere else, this place is the best in the area, gorgeous 😋

Took 2 dozen oatcakes with us on our Scotland motorbike tour, at breakfast the hotelier at the Buccleuch Arms warmed them up, all the guys asked me where they were from, they'd never tasted such fab oatcakes, the hotelier had never heard of them.. We apparently have to take more up next year!! Excellent oatcakes! 👍

Hot and fresh, the breakfast food of Stoke-on-Trent. If you prefer the softer oatcake then this place does not disappoint. There is parking down the street, although is close to the hospital, but should be able to find a parking spot even at busy times. Service is via the window at the moment, and orders are given out over the railing. However, unfortunately it means there is little in the way of coverage from the rain, but service is fast even with the freshly cooked hot food and you can still see the oatcakes being made. Hot food is served on a paper plate, in a paper bag. The staff were helpful and friendly. A good local for oatcakes.

As a true stokie would be I'm particular about oatcakes. I have used these for years and would struggle to change. Loads of fillings to try and prices are very reasonable. Staff are really great and friendly too.

I have never been so appalled by the service I received at this Greggs. I was served by a child named Joel and the way he acted made me feel so uncomfortable and an inconvenience because of the manner he was acting in as if I had forced him to come to work sorry but no one wants that type of service. Even the way he works is shocking and sluggish like I feel bad for the rest of the workers having to work with someone like that as he works like he has no common sense or training.

They didn’t have cold drinks like ice coffee & ice latte.………

Ordered food off just eat and they forgot the main part of my meal a margarita pizza so i basically had nothing to eat after an hour and just eat are refusing a refund so thanks to their mess up im out of money. Do better i work in a ship with just it. Its so difficult to mess up an order youve gotta be really lazy and give no care to do it and its cost me money

Absolutely awful customer service, a colleague barged past me when I was clearly as far over as possible in the que line, then proceeded to slam the door to behind the till and very loudly (loud enough that I heard through headphones) shout "or don't get out the way then" and stormed off behind a wall. Both other servers noticed I had heard her and and one said "oh no he did hear her".

Rude customer service. They are not even minding any customers they are doing their own work. Paid for cake and thrown in front of counter like a rubbish. I thinks things of the bakery is good But Very very rude customer service. Avoid this place .

Usually their samosas are quite nice. But Today they sold me some meat samosas which gone off. There wasn't any meat inside. The texture was slimey and smell was a bit funny. Still they are selling it. Very disappointing.

Stopped here whilst I was in the area as I'd read some good reviews on Google and im glad I did. The shops quite big and clean inside and all the stock is well presented in the display cabinets. Of course the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly, what a treat 😋

The meat samosas I bought today had a slimy texture in the filling, which felt unpleasant on the palate. They’re usually fine, but today’s were foul. The vegetable samosas in the chaat were fine, though.

Best place in Stoke-On-Trent for Samosas, Bhaji's and cakes. Staff are all lovely and friendly. Never go anywhere else for our Indian snacks. I didn't discover it for years until recommended. Highly recommend!

Poor and disgusting behaviour from employees. In the same order, grabs jalebi using non glove hands and looks at customer to make sure they weren't caught and then puts it in the box. Drops a ladoo and then secretly makes it back into a ball and into a box. Don't know in what world they got a 5 star health rating. DO NOT VISIT. We have came here multiple times when we have guests at our home and spend about £50 each visit but never again.

The service was fine, no issues. The place was nice and cozy at first, but after a while, the air conditioning made it uncomfortably cold. At that point, I was the only customer left, peacefully enjoying my coffee—who knows, maybe they thought, ‘Let’s make it cold so she’ll leave, and we can have more freedom to chat.’ No worries, though—there’s a Costa Coffee right next door! ❤️

Worst greggs ever. Pizzas were stale and dry. Dry chicken as well and delivery was also very late.

Good value takeaway or eat in restaurant. Main disadvantage is that it doesn't have a toilet and you can't use Costa's next door without a code...

Worst Greggs ever, I never saw something like this before at Greggs. Cashiers are talking and are not bothered about the customers. The shelves were completely empty, there was only two/three choices of pasties/food. Like never before. It was our first visit to this Greggs, totally not coming again.

The prices are really good and the app definitely helps but I will say the tables are always dirty despite whenever we went there was no customers so definitely could clean the table after every customer is definitely a must

Always call here for breakfast when we visit relatives in Chester. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommended for a pit-stop en route !!

Very cold food, some food was stale This is probably the worst Greggs I've been to maybe if they actually closed the door the food would be somewhat warm Apart from the food the service wasnt bad and the atmosphere was alright a shame the food is so poor quality

Love wright's pies .don't get pies often. But when there is a chance they are generous with the amount and good quality food. And I can sometimes make two meals from the amount .much appreciated 👏

Wednesday 30th April 13:450m just been served by a young woman she served me a lobby and banged it on the counter then made me a tuna salad box and never asked me what I wanted in it and just plonked everything in there was not impressed at all please remember to ask next time thank you

Just popped in today and was met with a very miserable lady serving. Sorry but perhaps dont work with serving customers with the attitude. I said have a great Christmas and she grunted. Very nearly walked back to the counter and asked for a refund. Rarely do i make comments but sadly the attitude stank.

Worst meat and potato pie I’ve ever had 2bites and threw it in the bin, disgusting,tastes horrible and like vinegar,, definitely not worth the price

Great little shop that had a really good choice of Wright's normal pastry range despite it being quite late in the day. Very friendly, helpful and happy staff. Love the M&P pie with gravy and peas!!!

When in to today was served by lady with glasses on. All I asked have you got any hard bread in for tuna sandwich. She looked at the other customer and started laughing saying we got no crusty bread in. Make me feel right out place. Never going back this shop is not for us hard working minority. I went into your store in Hanley Stoke on Trent ordered a cheese on toast. Didn’t realise the cheese on toast was burnt and hard. Left store 10secs turned around, once taken the cheese on toast out of the bag. Went back ask the staff who served me, to change it, refused to change it over she stated can’t change it, once I left store. Which was literally seconds ago. Had no way of knowing It was burned and hard. Until I took it out the bag ( if she cannot change don’t sell burnt hard food in the first place seeking it into the bag 🙄) Ask for customer service details refused to give to me. Would make sense to train to not sell burned food. Didn’t eat it taken picture. Will be sharing this on social media will not be using store again as regular customer. Went online rang number just rang out no one answered - which is the norm for majority business nowadays. Filled out contact page. What made it worse older lady Stroud there listening had no common sense to intervene, you would have thought the younger staff was running things. 🙄 Prior to that brought egg muffin it was so hard like it had been microwave then put under the heater. ( I wouldn’t give it or feed it to homeless person) i threw it away. Will not be wasting my money on this company ever again. Way they carrying they might be next to go into liquidation. Was promised vouchers due to service unfortunately vouchers never materialised in the post reached out to the company regarding this and was ignored.

The service , well to be honest and franc,it stunk today , not smelly stunk , but the egregious mannerism the older woman had just us not good enough #poundbakery! Her attitude was not helpful , it wasn't friendly , it was neither , quite honestly I felt like I'd been in five minutes before and had a right set too with het , she looked me up and down like *a cheap pie*! Really disappointed with the vegetarian sausage roll that I bought for lunch today. It was over cooked and dry, which you could tell from both it's appearance and taste. That one should not have made it past quality control! I'm glad that I didn't get the 2 for £1.60 offer 😢

Serves cold food all the time and if it’s not cold it’s not cooked properly, managers don’t know how run the shop properly, very slow service rude staff, a very cold atmosphere.. shame they got rid of the best staff member!!

Ordered from here and we had a sandwich missing. Not a big deal but I still paid. I rang up to tell them about it and the lady said it was bagged, which clearly it wasn't as it wasn't in the bag and also the bags are sealed with a sticker. Think she was hinting it could of been the driver. Which was when I said no as the bags have stickers.. so they lied as they don't wanna be in the wrong

Some of the staff are quite miserable, but there are a couple who are very polite and friendly, the food is not as nice as it was, the shop needs a rename certainly no longer pound pastries etc, overall standards have gone down and prices have shot up

Just been in to this place with my beautiful wife to have a quick snack and my wife was surprised they have vegan sausage rolls. I normally have a sausage roll with meat because i just love food and never had a vegan sausage roll before and can i say it was lovely. You couldn't even tell it didn't have meat , so all you meat eaters out there give this vegan sausage roll ago you won't be disappointed trust me . There should be more places for vegans as well because its hard for vegans to find there food without eggs, milk or anything meaty so POUND BAKERY well done and please more vegan food. Vegans need food too ..... 10/10 🤗.

A complete waste of time - every time. Every single time we waste our time coming here they have NO stock in at peak times. Today we went at lunch and they had no soup in winter. How do you run out of soup? I honestly have no idea how this Greggs makes any money, I’d rather them admit defeat and close down rather luring people there when there is never any stock available (other reviews state the same). Don’t waste your time - the staff are also not remotely helpful half the time.

This Greggs was at a petrol station, we visited at 13:30 and there was no sandwiches and only a few pasties left. The food is what you expect from Greggs, which is great.

Can’t keep any food stocked up properly. Just wanted a breakfast bap and they didn’t have ANY sausage OR bacon. How can you run out of both and not have prepared more BEFORE you got to the point of running out. (Updated) Now they just close the store with no notice of why or for how long yet with food still on display. How poorly can you run a place? This Greggs is a perfect example of people that don’t care and just inconvenience everyone else.

I bought a croissant and pain au chocolat this morning and my partner started to eat the croissant. After one bite, she realised it was completely raw inside. It’s totally inedible, how long was it in the oven for? Disgraceful quality.

Quickest visit ever to the shop yesterday. Straight in, straight out. Shelves empty, toaster still not working, been 8 or 9 weeks now. Begs the question is the store being closed down. Greggs comment to my previous review ‘ We'd like to assure you that we'll take all the necessary steps to follow up on this’ clearly has no credibility.

Can't put a review on just eat as they cancelled my order. I put an order through just eat that the accepted then called me to say that they don't have the items and that I should cancel the order in just eat. You can not cancel your order. You need to go through just eat and talk to someone and if you do. You pay for your order. Ring Greggs back. Tell us the same thing that we need to cancel order. This is when we finally get through to someone on just eat to find out the above information. I ring Greggs back and speak to someone named Richard and he tells me it was a new employee who accepted it by mistake. (Not my problem) he tries to insist I cancel I insist I can't. Tell him I'll give just eat their number. Magically not long after I come off the phone the order has been cancelled before just eat were given their number. I'll let you people come to your own conclusion of how that happened

Brilliant friendly staff and cakes. Sausage rolls are a-bit undercooked every time i go in so I avoid them. Avoid after 2:30PM as there will be nothing left and what is left is cold or dry.

I wouldn’t have even given 1star but needed to post this. I went into Greggs today to ask for a cup of boiling water. The guy says I could only have one if I paid a pound. I mean, what happened to doing a good deed or helping someone out! It wasn’t even a cup of water to throw a teabag in when I got in my car. It was to clean one of my babies toys which had fallen out of the car and into some mud. Thanks very much for the person who tried to defend my case, but he still said no. Obviously, only out to make money.

19 March. Staff refused to make me a fresh bacon roll and said I could only have one of the 2 ready made ones. She was mopping the floor then served without washing hands

Visited at 2 pm on a Friday to grab some lunch, there was only 1 sausage roll left. Asked if they had any in the oven and the lady behind the counter said she hadn't put any in yet so would be at least a 20-minute wait or I could buy a cold 4-pack. I miss the Subway that was here before.

Not great food barely warn but the coffee although small is not too bad.

Absolutely awful has been for months nobody has a clue how to put a butty together, you ask for ketchup you get brown sauce you ask for a barm you get a baguette. They put it together absolutely terribly. Never ever been to a Greggs as bad as this in my life it is consistently terrible.
