Absolutely delicious food and drinks. Was in Oslo for 2 days and wanted to have a midrange delicious unpretentious food and was not disappointed. Definitely a local hang out. Not a tourist in sight. I love the chicken soup so much. The potato crepe with pork and pickled veg too. The waitress patiently explained the menu as we couldn't read Norwegian. The best food I've had in Norway.

Good brunch place. Food was good, service was ok but a little absent cause you order on your phone. Chicken & waffle 🐓🧇 Perfectly fried chicken on top of an american style waffle. Crispy outer and moist dark meat. Sauce was good, and pickled cabbage gave it a good sour hint. Waffle was ok. Mini pancake stack 🥞 Good tasting pancakes, with wild berries and lemon cream. The lemon cream gave it a much needed sourness to cut through.

We had a lovely brunch here, with very nice service. The food looks and tastes great, people in the kitchen seem to care about their work. The menu is smallish, but with something for everyone. Would definitely recommend, and come back for more!

The pancakes came as a shock. Comically small portion, COLD, overly tangy sauce… a disaster in combination. The fried chicken with waffle was alright. Not coming back.

Cozy, great food and super friendly staff. Gradi is a bit off the beaten track in Oslo, but it's definitely worth it. Select 4 or 5 small plates (more than enough for 2) and enjoy some cocktails or beer.

I used to come here whenever going to Munch Museum and loved it. But seems now they changed chef, brunch went from Nordic fushion (which always impress me by its balance and freshness of ingredients) to sth more like a US style brunch. Gruyère cheese toast was so oily (didn’t get why they fry it even though gruyère itself will generate lots of oil ) and paired up with coriander in the salad and sause with chilly. Chicken on the waffle is also fried, waffle is American waffle - thick and sweet, and again with coriander and chilly. (Btw I really don’t think they go well with coffee or te). Pancake is also American style. Maybe I used to really like the place, I have to say I am fairly disappointed this time.

Stockfleths is a classic Oslo coffee spot with consistently great quality. The coffee is smooth and well-prepared, and their pastries are just as impressive. I had a fresh cinnamon bun with delicate cardamom notes that was absolutely exquisite. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and efficient. A wonderful place to enjoy a great coffee and a treat in the city.

lovely little shop. Coffee was solid, but the egg salad sandwich was incredible. It was on some of the best sliced bread I've had in Norway. I realized I'd eaten it all before I could take a photo.

Amazing coffee! Walked 30 minutes everyday to get that Oat Flat White. Some of a few people in Oslo who happen to know how to use a La Marzocco machine. Staff is very nice and gave me amazing lunch recommendations at my first stay.

Good coffee and nice place. One of the better places that serves up a proper flat white. A lot of coffee shop get mistaken that flat white is the same as a cappuccino but it’s totally different. Nice selection of beans as well.

One of the best coffees you can have in Oslo with no doubt! No surprise there is a line in front of them. I loved their cappuccino and Colombian coffee beans. It was between chocolate & berries kinda flavour, nice for french press. If you just ask for baristas' advice for coffee beans, they'll direct you perfectly.

Very nice little cafe. Arguably the best coffee in Oslo. At least over time. Almost every cup here will be great. This place masters both espresso based and pour over coffee. Coffee is roasted on site.

This was a decent pizza and a memorable meal of our stay in Oslo. Quality ingredients and good selection on the menu. Tasty tiramisu for dessert as well. Good service. We walked in without a booking, it was quiet, but as with everywhere in Oslo they stop seating new tables after around 8pm. Happy to recommend.

We stayed at Citybox and Rent Mel has a door to the hotel and they are applying discounts to people staying. Food was good, service was kind and attentive.

On a quite cold night, somehow a hot pizza sounds great. So I stopped by this pizzeria for a classic one. I ordered a piccante (or pikante in that's parts) pizza (tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, spicy salami, onions, black olives and oregano). Crusty was thin yet chewey and the toppings were tasty, so overall a great pizza; though not very spicy. The accompanying light Norwegian beer was perfect. Thank you.

I visited several times during my short stay in Oslo, they have different branches that open over different hours and the atmosphere of each is kinda different. Generally the coffee is very good, I usually order Cortado with vegan milk, the bakeries are good too I love the cardamom bun & avocado sandwich, though I was served once a sandwich that was super cold, not sure if I had the option to heat it as that was offered to me & I was rushed out anyways.

Great space to have a cup of coffee.. the ambience is really cozy and warm. Would most definitely recommend visiting this place around sunset and having a cup of vanilla latte and cheesecake. Cheesecake here are to die for. Also, the staff and service is really nice .

I appreciate technology being implemented to improve service and waiting time but I don't understand why the system this place uses requires so many questions, both email and phone verification. Basically they asked for all my data to only "forget" what my initial order was and make me start the process again from scratch once the registration was completed. In other words, instead of helping, their online order system made me lose 15 minutes in pointless bureaucracy. Then I just moved to the cafe next door as I had no energy left to deal with this place.

As usual at Joe Juicer – service is slow, so patience is needed if you’re not in a hurry. The juice was okay but not worth the wait. Plus for the attentive guy at the counter. The double cappuccino looked nice but tasted like a single.

The girl which is works can't even make espresso (couldn't fit the coffee to machine and water a lot of water dropped in to cup). I ask for filter coffee and she gave me americano. We also bought sport of juice and ice latte but nobody was satisfied with the drinks we couldn't even finish our drinks :/

Our experience at your Joe & Juice shop was unexpectedly delightful. We were attending a nearby conference and found ourselves running late. Fortunately, we stumbled upon your place and decided to grab a quick bite. My colleague and I ordered cappuccino coffee, and we also tried those waffle-like treats (I'm not exactly sure what they're called, but they were delicious!). The taste was spot-on, and it was just what we needed to fuel our busy day. Overall, we had a good experience at your shop. The rush to get to our conference on time meant we couldn't take any pictures, but the memory of the tasty coffee and those delightful treats will stay with us. Thanks for saving our morning!

the happiness of bread! What a wonderful address for all bread lovers. Whatever your choice among all the products that are proposed by this bakery, you will be greatly satisfied. The bakers here truly master their art. Breads are at the same time so tasty and easy to digest. Same for the pastries, just perfect. In addition, you can enjoy some coffee, and even have lunch, in a nice atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and friendly.

What a great experience at this bakery/cafe on a quiet Saturday morning in Oslo. A big space yet has many cozy corners for enjoying their delicious baked goods, lunch items, and espresso drinks. This would be my regular spot if I lived in Oslo!

Sweet local Norwegian bakery cafe with lots of different breads and pastries to sample! I got an almond bread one with some kind of cream center. It was delicious! Laid back, not too trendy or crowded. It was a nice place to start the day 🌞🫶🏽

A lovely place which opens earlier on Sunday than other cafés … Had an oatmilk cappuccino & cold vegan sandwich which was made from scratch :) Loved the atmosphere & the lovely girls behind the counter; a bit pricey though. Everything tasted good!

Lovely quiet place to sit ,bread was ok and coffee is a little bit boring taste not very hot .One thing that's not acceptable is a staff using hand preparing sandwiches burgers touching all ingredients without gloves.

I am satisfied with every pastry I tried from here. First I bought their wholewheat bread which was delicious. Then we came here for breakfast and preferred favourite sandwich, focaccia sandwich, a spiral cinnamon roll with cream in middle and a small pizza. They were all fresh and nice. I especially enjoyed my sandwich.

The coffee didn't have extra caramel in it, couldn't add more than an extra pump, the toast egg bacon was okay, would've had more bacon, the egg was great. I found out my preference of coffee beans weren't these, very odd taste, didn't go well with the caramel, I feel there should've been more options, especially with the amount of syrup you can add. The atmosphere was relaxing, seating comfortable, good temperature, not as many outlets as it should, seeing how this is often used by people who study and work on pc (kinda like Starbucks) I ordered by app so I don't know how the staff was, but they messed up the order, got a coffee and bun that wasn't ordered. Over all, I wouldn't come back, sad to have this experience. 7/10

Was walking the city and needed to use the restroom. We purchased a bottle of water and caffè americano and I used the toilet. It wasn’t dirty but tissue was scatter on the floor…however I expect the restroom gets a lot of use. The coffee was satisfying and the place reminds me of a Starbucks with the vibe, service, and products. It is located near the university and business was steady while we enjoyed our drinks.

I ordered a matcha vanilla, but unfortunately it was the worst I’ve ever tasted. The drink had green clumps, it hadn’t been stirred properly, and it seemed like the matcha was prepared the wrong way. The barista also wasn’t very friendly.

They didn't have any baked goods without lactose, but the club sanwich was good. Had to pay extra for the lactose free milk, so the total was over 200 NOK for an iced coffee and a sanwich, a bit too expensive if you ask me.

This bakery and pizza house is definitely one of the better ones in Oslo! Not the easiest to get to, but by golly miss molly, it is for sure worth it! The interior is very neat and clean, the outdoor seating area is beautiful on a warm Summer’s day and the service by the staff is "alright" - nothing to write home about, but that’s just the service industry in general around the place here. I have had many a pizza, many a bolle, coffee, brew, you name it from here over the years. I will continue to keep coming back here! Keep up the great job!

Quick place to get a bite to eat. Food is ok but better when warmed in the microwave. Some of the sweeter pastries tasted slightly raw but thats personal opinion. It’s self service but seems relatively hygienic.

Unlike a lot of bakeries in town, Backstube has a lot of savory and sweet options. Coffee is affordable. Food is fine. This particular location has a lot of seating.

Backstube had many varieties of breads 🍞 🥖 they’re everywhere near Oslo city center, just hop it and got our bread and coffee fixed!

Loads of vegan options. I had tasty vegetable bread slice but there was vegan cronuts, sandwiches, apple puffs loads of bread selections and more. Perfect place for a breakfast or lunch. I will visit again before the end of my trip. Highly recommend for an vegan it's all well labelled and you get individual tongs so no cross contamination! Price was very reasonable 😊

Cheap bakery in the center of Oslo. They have different kind of pastries (both sweet and salty) and pizzas and sandwitches. They also have juices, smoothies and coffee or tea. Prices are quite affordable compared to other places in the city center. It is a hood option for a fast snack or light lunch.

Went here to get bread and croissants and they didn't disappoint. The sourdough bread has a nice crunch and good texture. The croissant was large but could have used a bit more butter. It was missing the flakiness of a true french croissant.

Quiet place perfect for an early morning breakfast. The cinnamon bun was delicious, the grains of sugar on top adding a nice twist to the soft texture of the inside. The staff was very friendly too and kindly helped me understanding the difference between different pastries. Recommended!

I went here on a rainy day a couple of weeks ago and sat outside under the shelter of a tree and it was lovely. Great coffee, great vibes- the girl working was super kind and I wish I’d been able to go back again while I was still in Oslo.

I have used this place for a couple of years just after covid and service was always quite good until the last few months where it has deteriorated badly. There is a new blonde girl who works weekends who tried to cheat me out of my change thinking as I was a foreigner I wouldnt know any better but she was caught out. The same blonde girl on my next visit decided to make my baguette without asking me what I wanted or did not want on it meaning She had no butter on it when I always have butter, she put lettuce on it when I never take lettuce and she wrapped it up to take away when I always sit in. To her I say if the salary is so bad that you try to steal from customers or give terrible service then I suggest finding a better paying job or maybe you are too stupid to find a better paying a job As the old saying goes if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Disgusting warm baguettes. We ate one with chicken and one with beef and they had very little filling and in general just not tasty. A waste of calories and money…. Compared to what a nice baguette you can get when it is good.

40kr for a TEASPOON of coffee which was justified as being a single espresso!!! When I mentioned that the volume was too little the response was it is a single shot. Maybe the machine needs recalibrated or owner needs Barista training.

This place has deteriorated badly. Had a sandwich and it was so dull and tasteless. Felt something bulky inside and it was the stale end of an iceberg lettuce which proves this place doesn’t care about its food or customers. Almost 180kr for a sandwich and coffee is also a disgrace. A sullen server barely give me eye contact and just left my sandwich on the counter without a word or gesture. Any wonder Bake Me Up started further up. They clearly don’t see this place as competition and they’d be right!

Healthy lifestyle , always my favorite Joe & the juice even got it when we were in Dubai for layover. I was excited to see it at Oslo Airport as well! Not sure why the low reviews but Customer Service is fast and efficient and food is the same taste , we always luv to order spicy tuna and Berry juice. So I can’t wait to come at Oslo Airport J&J for our meal before flight, I highly recommend for a healthy food at the airport.

I ordered Joe’s club sandwich, but was not available then I ordered avocado sandwich with mozzarella, but the mozzarella was finished so they put spinach in it. The sandwich was not up to standards and was a very small portion. I felt for USD 13 sandwich. It was way too expensive.

Probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Burning temperature, the flat white was pretty much black coffee. I couldn’t finish it. Apart from that, They refused to use my keep up cup (in 2025, very sustainable!), didn’t have a machine to print my receipt and just laughed at me.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! It took over 20min for them to make my latte. One simple drink. Just a normal latte. Are you kidding me? No receipt was printed, unfriendly staff with attitude. Yikes. Dear management - please, just look at the reviews, maybe it’s time to start making changes.

First time I came here Friday 8th was so good. Really nice group of guys working and they were quick despite the crowd. Second time went back Sunday 10th of August different staff and the smoothie was complete liquid (not frozen at all?) so disappointed after waiting for so long. Would be great if this spot was consistent like other locations. Given the price point it’s weird they can’t get a smoothie correct

I hate to leave bad reviews, but the restaurant had trash laying everywhere and we ordered protein shakes that came out with the consistency of water. We asked for them to be remade and the guy said “we don’t have enough chocolate to make more.” Very disappointing.

W.B. Samson is known for having of the best cinnamon rolls with rich butter and fluffy texture. The reason I like this branch is; it doesn’t feel like a branch of yet another coffee chain but more like a neighbourhood cafe. The service is always good. There can be queues in the weekends but the staff is always smiling. The reason they don’t get 5 stars is because of not offering decaf coffee/espresso. Decaf is not a choice as “nice to have” but a necessity for some of us. Probably more common than needing gluten free or dairy free options. And for many people who don’t have issue with caffeine it is still a good option to have it after 16:00. It is not so difficult to offer it. Look at Kaffebrenneriet, Grains, Espresso House and Starbucks. They all offer and they crunch long queues with ease as well. They don’t have queues because of offering different options but because of being popular. So I think W.B. Samson can do the same. Besides the food here is much better than any other coffee chains. Here you get freshly prepared food. Salads and sourdough bread sandwiches are delicious. In the summer they have outdoor seating and I like soaking in the sun. In the winter my favourite spot is front of the fireplace. Thank you for being the warm neighbourhood cafe we very much need in cold Oslo.

Good experience overall. Big facilities with some personal rooms and clean. Not a large selection of food and coffee but they are good enough for the day. Internet had hiccups especially when working with a working laptop that has vpn and protections. So videos were stuttering from time to time. But overall nice experience. Will come back again.

I come here often and love this place to chill out, work or time to read. It’s got a great atmosphere and the staff are always lovely. The only downside is recently they’ve upped the prices and their matcha lattes used to be strong and tasty and lately the matcha lattes have been extremely weak for 72kr it’s not worth it. I hope they’ll change this since it’s such a wonderful gem in Oslo.

Really liked the vibe in here. It's lively and spacious too. Enjoyed my cappuccino with a nice foam. The croissant was good too. If you are around in Majorstuen, nice spot to have a coffee break with some pastries. Hope next time I'll try their pecan pie:)

What a chill place to enjoy your coffee and get some work done. The cozy interior and the majority of customers being students give it a campus cafe vibe. I didn’t feel awkward, though. I tried their pecan pie, which was a bit too sweet for my liking. Otherwise, the food selection looks quite good! The friendly staff allowed me to try some coffee of the day before I purchased a whole bag of beans. Breathe in and breathe out… ✨

Great coffee and lots of space for working too!

Once I found this place, during my stay in Oslo, I simply had to go back every day. The coffee was so on point. The sandwiches hit the spot after a drop in at a local CrossFit gym. The pastries were delightful. Everything that I look for in a coffeeshop is here. I am not the only one thinking this, as tables are hard to come by. But many people offered spots at their table. Highly recommend.

The Snickers cake was delicious — gluten-free and perfectly balanced in sweetness, not too sweet, just right. The lady serving us was incredibly kind and made sure we enjoyed every bit. Their mocha was a pleasant surprise! I usually don’t like mochas at most places, but this one was genuinely good. Overall, a lovely spot with beautiful service, great coffee, and tasty desserts. We visited Oslo and found this cafe on Google maps. This place has excellent food and drinks. The tuna sandwich was SO GOOD that we came here twice in the the two days we were in Oslo for that specific sandwich. Incredible owner as well, she makes everything from scratch and it's all delicious. Lovely little place, very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Always on the hunt for 'THAT' healthy cafe whilst away and this absolutely checked off all the boxes. Coffees were delicious, atmosphere was cosy, staff were friendly but the acai bowl? Stole the show. As a self proclaimed acai connoisseur, I couldnt rate it any higher! Would reccommend and will definitely revisit if back in Oslo.

Found this place on google and it was worth coming for breakfast. We had the vafler and it was good. One with the strawberry jam and one with the raspberry. We also had the tuna sandwhich with two cafe moccas. Their moccas are so delicious. The lady working was so welcoming. Love the vibe.

Staying in Oslo for a week was an excellent experience, which a strong contribution was this wonderful cafe, Evita. It starts with the service, as everyone was very nice, and was aided by a comfy, artistic, environment. I enjoyed doing a bit of work or talking with friends, while drinking some very good lattes… they also have some good pastries, including some gluten free options. Thanks for making my stay an excellent one!

Unclean milk pitchers and coffee station, and the skolebolle tasted sort of dry. The worker seemed to care more about effectivity than quality, even though there was no rush at all. The price was way to high for two items of this quality

Incredible service. Even though I was there too early and the sandwiches weren't ready, I was treated to the highest standard. After 5 minutes, the food was ready and I was enjoying it. It was in the top 10 sandwiches I've ever had. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Ordered a flat white and a pizza bun. Flat white tasted remarkably like Zalo, pizza bun was dry. No table service. Cool upstairs seating earns a 2nd star.

Great cafe with a unique sitting area. Unlimited coffee refills are nice, and staff are usually very friendly, helpful and always smiling. This is by far my favorite cafe in the Nydalen area.

Products are good (when they still have things to sell after noon…) but at these prices it’s more than expected. The big minus goes for the attitude of the staff. Really feels like you’re bothering them. Barely a thanks or a farewell. Such a shame for the location is amazing.

A quirky little cafe that doesn't look much from the outside but inside wow. Such an eclectic mix. The bathroom is something else it's amazing. The food and drinks were delicious, tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly and very efficient. I can highly recommend.

Spor va Nord offers very good breakfast and lunch options with a focus on healthy food. I found the overall atmosphere to be pleasantly cozy. I've only tried the à la carte menu and have not had the breakfast buffet, but the dishes were excellent. I particularly recommend the Fish Soup; it was flavorful and prepared very well. If you are looking for a reliable spot for a healthy meal in a comfortable setting, Spor va Nord is a solid choice.

I ordered 2 mains. (Yes, I can eat). And that's because I was on a solo trip and I would love to try as much of the local food as possible. The fish soup was divine, much better than C*** ***n*** which was a bit salty for my taste. Quality-wise, both were good but Spor av Nord version was better for my taste. The soup was lighter. I also ordered the shrimp salad open faced sandwich. As filling as the roast beef sandwich from the other place. Both were equally high quality but my preference is for Spor av Nord. Service was friendly. Efficient. Ambiance was eccletic. Other options for the mains included a reindeer kebab. I believe the mains changes everyday. Will come back for the fish soup.

We stayed at the hotel located in this building and came to this café for breakfast and later for lunch. The breakfast was excellent and varied – I can definitely recommend it. For lunch we had the fish soup and the reindeer kebab, both were delicious. Pleasant atmosphere, vintage furniture, nice tableware and cutlery. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Good food, but service needs improvement. Yes, the staff are clearly stretched, but it also seems like further training in guest service would make a big difference. I arrived at 10:50am, just 10 minutes before breakfast service was due to end. It was busy, and the buffet was already almost empty, so I opted to wait for the lunch menu to begin at 11am. After waiting 10 minutes without receiving a menu, I ended up ordering directly at the till. My americano took over 5 minutes to arrive, and the salad I ordered came after another 20-minute wait. The salad was delicious — no complaints about the food at all. But overall, I was disappointed to spend over 30 minutes just waiting. As a visitor, that’s time I would have preferred to spend exploring the city.

Cozy little place with delicious freshly made food! Quite a small menu though and on the day we were visiting two out of the five dishes were not available. But the halloumi salad and the reindeer casserole were so delicious that we were happy those were the ones we 'had' to pick! Very helpful and friendly owner and staff. The surroundings/area were a bit sketchy, but the cafe inside is very cute! Coffee also looked delicious, so we will be back to have one!

Lovely, helpful staff; good iced latte, delicious sourdough bread! The chocolate croissant was not good. It was a bit too noisy outside since there was a construction going on. So may not be the best place to study or remotely work. A little messy inside the bakery. But all in all, if you're around the area, you may visit them for some coffee and sourdough breads.

The coffee and the ost og skinke was all I need every morning in Oslo. Well priced, and a great location for locals and tourists. One of the better priced bakeries in town, especially for the quality. I would eat there again, but obviously I ate there enough while I was in town.

Can be a little dry, but an amazing deal for sweet pastries at 129Kr for four! Checking out all the freshly baked buns, flavours and options made us drool with delight. The pistachio with vanilla was amazing! The buns without centre-vanilla-creme were quite dry, if you get any here: I would recommend getting ones with Centre-cream to cut through the overload of dry pastry. I would definitely revisit here :)

If you are looking for a break around this area this coffee shop/bread shop is a good choice. Not really a seating place (there are some seats near but zero ambiance). The bread is absolutely fantastic. It is worth the trip. Their coffee not good not bad..just coffee. Somehow the bread looks gigantic..but we manage to eat it all.. we will loose weight when we come back home.

So we stumbled upon this place while finding a local cafe in Oslo’s city centre and saw this huge queue… so thought to give it a try - we took a cold sandwich which was similar to Subway sandwich except that these guys at Union Bit do not grill the bread at all. Taste was nice but wouldn’t say great - but yes the options of sauces were quite a lot and quite unique. Majority of the people in the queue were for the sweet buns and the bun had a nice unique flavouring but it was pretty dry. We took the chocolate bun which comes in an option of with and without Vanilla cream - so the bread itself is a sweet bun and the chocolate felt quite less but that balanced the flavour and allowed us to enjoy the bread by itself though a bit dry. Multiple flavours of buns are available and their offer of 4 sweet buns for 129KR is a killer offer when one bun costs 50KR! I would say the service was superb but food was okay-okay - i guess the offer lured in bigger groups who took one bun for a great discounted price!

Super busy bakery conveniently located close to Oslo S. Sells all sorts of classic buns as well as coffee. Most people order to-go but there’s also a small seating area right across the store if you want to sit down and enjoy your baked goodies.

I bought these at 5 pm on a Wednesday afternoon after arriving in town from the airport. I hadn’t had lunch so was quite hungry and let myself be tempted by the 4 buns for 129kr offer. I was a bit worried that since it was already late afternoon, that the buns would be a bit stale already. However, when I got to my AirBnB and could make myself a coffee and finally try the buns at 6 pm…they were tasty and not stale. Delicious! I can highly recommend!

The combination of freshly baked pastries, and a coffee is a must, i believe for morning coffee lovers 😃 You might fell bit pricey but then again you in Oslo. Poorly located, but just two doors down from the Metro station Forskningsparken. We weren't too satisfied with the quality, quantity of food and it was served less than beautiful but prices okay and service was fast and quick.

I love Dana bakeri. They have so many small items, all of them so tasty. I urge you to try the Punjabi samosa, linsekofte and chicken borek. Finish all of this with an Ayran. Such a lovely family that runs this bakery :)

This is a blink and you’ll miss it type place. But When you come in there you Are hit with cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The bakery has massive assortment of goods for What ever you might be craving at the time. And the service was great! We were going to Eat a pizza and while we waited They gave us a laté. And When we were eating the pizza They gave us tea. And This was on the house! This is a great place i definetly will come back to. And so should you!

My favourite place in Oslo for many years. The food is authentic and the place feels like home. An amazing atmosphere with an extensive delicious menu at affordable prices. I recommend everyone to check it out. Dana Bakeri is a hidden pearl of the city! And something you can seldom find in Norway. They also offer a lot of vegan options.

At some point Godt Brød had ok bread now it seems the more stores they open the worse it gets. Dried old bread or just terrible bakers. I definitely don’t see it as a food option for the price they charge there should be some quality.

This is by far the worst Godt Brød place I've been to. The staff was not welcoming at all, and not very helpful. When I asked a question, she almost didn't want to answer as it was just too much hassle to explain the different toppings etc. I'm watching her from afar and she is joking around and smiling with her colleagues. A smile or any sort of service-mindedness from the staff would definitely improve the customer experience. The roll and hot chocolate weren't even that great either. Thanks but no thanks. Not coming back here.

Came here a few times with my brother to fika. Delicious, organic coffee with free refills. Nice cinnamon rolls as well. Relaxing ambience and very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

My dad came here 20 years ago when they pulled into port! And highly recommended this place. So my husband and I had to try it. This place is amazing. We are picky with our coffee and we love theirs. The sandwiches are lovely as well! All bread is made in house, the workers are kind, atmosphere is welcoming and warm.

This is my go-to bakery. The service has always been friendly and the selection is tasty. I strongly recommend trying out the sourdough bread "lyst surdeigsbrød". They also have a loyalty program (using the phone number), where you get every 7th bread for free.

I don't know for how long they've been here, but definitely not long enough to understand that SERVICE and customer care is the major reason for their existence. I was never told that the coffee is a self service concept, and my table was never cleaned. I asked 4 times, respectfully waited a few minutes between every time, but vacuum cleaning the bread stand was obviously way more fun. Looking around for a cloth to clean the table and throw away the garbage, found nothing to use. We'll, in the old days the saying was clients comes first, but not in Backstube Byporten Oslo.

Please have more care around who are beside you. When I bought bread, one lady was standing close to me. When I said "please keep distanse", she laughed with a lady who was working there. On Friday 5.02. Time around 15.30.

I came here early in the morning and the place wasn't crowded. Love their epledrøm, I think it's my favorite here. They also have tasty looking donuts which I have yet to try.👍

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the bakery and café Godt Brod in Oslo, Norway. This bakery café is part of a chain with several locations across Norway. I tried a typical Norwegian pastry along with a cappuccino – both were well made, though nothing particularly memorable. The main downside was the wait: my cappuccino took almost twelve minutes to arrive, likely due to understaffing, which can be frustrating if you are short on time. On the positive side, the location is excellent – close to the Munch Museum and in a new district under development, with a nice crowd and a pleasant terrace to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

A beautiful cafe with organic products and some of them gluten free. Smoking is not allowed indoors and outdoors. It is located at the back of the Oslo Opera House, in a modern and new neighborhood.

Not far from my hotel and open early - I am old so I don’t sleep well or much and need coffee to regulate my grouchy self important demeanour - this bakery/cafe gave me the opportunity to degrouchify. (Yeah I made it up) The service was good and with the smell of freshly baked or baking goods is always elevating. The coffee was made in an efficient manner and was above average coffee - I’m Australian and we don’t have a long history or richly evolved culture but we have a superiority complex over coffee and cafes; not saying it’s true or earnt it’s about the feeling. If you know you know. Good for the first eye opener coffee; I’m not a big bakery goods consumer but they seemed wide in variety and popular compliment for others.

Always love the Sommerboller from Gødt Brød. It’s good and freshly baked, love the cinnamon flavour inside. The size is also big. Coffee here is nice too. Service is good and staffs are friendly. Recommended.

Delicious espresso and latte. The latte was served in a MASSIVE cup — almost like a small soup bowl. 🥰 The texture of the frothed milk and balance of espresso to milk was on point! 💯 Large indoor seating area as well as several tables outside as well. Friendly staff & baristas offered helpful service with a smile.

Pretty good service, they could expand the place and put up 2 baristas in the morning eventually. Sometimes the locals here are taking too much time chit-chatting with barista s. Being in a hurry is not an option here

Treat customers differently! Some of staff ‘girls’ has methods of choosing the type of client and excluding other by language and appearance ! They make you feel unwelcome by changing their behavior when it's your turn! I have to say the name of order several times and she pretends like she don’t understand, finally she says yaaaa feta yaaaa croissant! and smiling” hi& good bye for all customers except you ! .I have been a customer for years and hesitated to complain because the quality of food and coffee is excellent, but it’s got annoying. Bad behavior in two branches from some girls in Sagene and St.Hanshaugen

Cute interior and great spot to sit while sipping a coffee. The cappuccino was a bit watery so definitely recommend a double shot. Not a fan of prepackaged stuff on counter displays so have not tried the food. There’s space for sitting outside on sunny days too. They do croquis evenings and other events from time to time with dates posted on social media.

A nice and friendly cafe. Great place to come and shave off a few hours. The coffee is just above average but not in the top 10 in Oslo. The Cortado was quite flavourless for the double shot and the milkwork was forgettable.

I really loved the cozy atmosphere, vintage plates & cups, delicious plain croissant and a good cappuccino here. Everything is so relaxing, the plants are beautiful and the interior design feels like home. The staff is nice and helpful. So many more reasons to visit here more than one time!

Cutest roundabout cafè that is always bustling! Extremely busy around lunchtime but the girls today did an effective job! My order got lost in the midst of lunch rush and reminding the staff was friendly, comfortable and easy. Got an extra treat and my iced coffee was made within no time. Didn’t get their names but very happy with the services.

The place was really cute and you can quietly enjoy your coffe or work here. It was a bit hard for us to find an empty seat because its a small cafe and the seats are really close to the other persons. But the drinks were nice and the staff friendly. If its not crowded, its a perfect cafe to hang around and chat.

They helped us perfectly with chosing the right sandwich, the staff was really friendly towards us! Food was amazing too, and the Dutch manager gave us some really good recommendations for Oslo/Norway.

Nice and lovely local for celebration and ceremonies with families and loved once (specially with small children). Good food and service and clean place after all. Could have been a 5 star if not because of one of the waiters there. He was very bad tempered and impatient toward the elders and the children. The boy should have been replaced if not in mood or not knowing how to behave and be responsible when asked about smt. But all in all recommended.
