Godt Brød Grünerløkka is a charming bakery and cafe that offers a wide selection of traditional breads, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. The spacious establishment provides both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a cozy atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their freshly made coffee and delectable baked goods. Visitors have praised the friendly staff and the delicious offerings, including Norwegian specialties like brown cheese with grain bread and sourdough bread with smoked salmon.
Very nice, cozy and welcoming atmosphere (lots of people come here to work, a good place to stay for a while), staff was really helpful and kind. Free wifi and it works great. Coffee is good, but not great. Some pastries are better than others. Specially recommend the kanelknuter. Lots of options in drinks. Variety of sandwiches, and full breads, granola, coffee, organic flours and even biscotti available to take away.

the happiness of bread! What a wonderful address for all bread lovers. Whatever your choice among all the products that are proposed by this bakery, you will be greatly satisfied. The bakers here truly master their art. Breads are at the same time so tasty and easy to digest. Same for the pastries, just perfect. In addition, you can enjoy some coffee, and even have lunch, in a nice atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and friendly.
Hervé D — Google review
What a great experience at this bakery/cafe on a quiet Saturday morning in Oslo. A big space yet has many cozy corners for enjoying their delicious baked goods, lunch items, and espresso drinks. This would be my regular spot if I lived in Oslo!
Matthew G — Google review
Sweet local Norwegian bakery cafe with lots of different breads and pastries to sample! I got an almond bread one with some kind of cream center. It was delicious! Laid back, not too trendy or crowded. It was a nice place to start the day 🌞🫶🏽
Rae N — Google review
A lovely place which opens earlier on Sunday than other cafés … Had an oatmilk cappuccino & cold vegan sandwich which was made from scratch :) Loved the atmosphere & the lovely girls behind the counter; a bit pricey though. Everything tasted good!
Daniela S — Google review
Very yummy stuff. Coffee is good. Great vibe. Bit pricy
Eric B — Google review
Lovely quiet place to sit ,bread was ok and coffee is a little bit boring taste not very hot .One thing that's not acceptable is a staff using hand preparing sandwiches burgers touching all ingredients without gloves.
Pornnapa P — Google review
I am satisfied with every pastry I tried from here. First I bought their wholewheat bread which was delicious. Then we came here for breakfast and preferred favourite sandwich, focaccia sandwich, a spiral cinnamon roll with cream in middle and a small pizza. They were all fresh and nice. I especially enjoyed my sandwich.

Bakery
Ille Brød is a renowned artisan bakery in Oslo, offering a delightful selection of sourdough pizzas, sweet and savory pastries, and outstanding bread. The bakery's unique style and flavors cater to every palate, making it a must-visit during your Oslo adventure. Customers rave about the amazing quality of ingredients in their sourdough bread and the delicious cinnamon rolls.
We came late, and most of the breads were gone. We searched for something sweet but there were only few buns left. The nice lady working there, helped us put butter in the bun, and made it a more appealing version for the kid. It worked so well, we enjoyed the simple, sourdough bread with butter, with a bottle of apple juice. High appreciate the extra effort, very friendly staffs there.
Kloce D — Google review
Excellent sourdough bread period! Came in just before closing and got the last sourdough baguette.. devoured it as soon as I left the bakery. Its that good.
Rakan A — Google review
amazing bread!! i tried the “svedjerug”, i loved the seeds on top 🤭 the owner was super nice and he even gift us with some cinnamon and cardamomo buns; delicious too ✨
Noelia Q — Google review
The best sourdough in Oslo! It’s always super fresh and delicious. I really like the Spelt sourdough, which is only available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The cinnamon and cardamom buns are also absolutely amazing and made of sourdough. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful.
Margaret T — Google review
bread is delicious! there is a ramp up to the courtyard ille brød sits in and the entrance is wheelchair accessible, although a large power chair might not be able to turn around inside the store since it’s narrow. no seating inside and no bathroom.
Katey G — Google review
Great bread, perfect pastries, and super nice and diligent people who are happy with what they are doing, Oslo is a better city because of Ille Brød——that’s how much I like this place and these people. Period.
Koikoi O — Google review
One of the best bakeries I've ever tried. And I tried quite a few. Beautiful looking bread and amazing taste. You can sample available breads paired with really good olive oil. They also serve great coffee from the best roasters in Oslo. Try the sandwiches; they're special. Oh, and they have the most amazing sourdough cinnamon rolls in the world. I don't like cinnamon, but I loved their rolls.
Alex C — Google review
Delicious sourdough bread here and all the ingredients are organic and the flour is stone milled. The butter is locally made and extremely yummy! This is the perfect place to get a quick and delicious breakfast or snack. The staff here are very nice and are happy to answer any of your bread making questions.

Handwerk is a charming café located in the Oslo botanic garden. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great spot for families. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked goods, including delicious bread and ham, along with a variety of coffee options. The cashier's helpfulness in explaining the daily menu in Norwegian adds to the welcoming experience. Additionally, patrons appreciate the quality of their soup, making it a perfect place to visit during the fall season.
We go there almost every saturday. This is our local Tøyen parkrun cafe. Nothing beats the athmosphere in the garden in the summertime. And they serve the best Coffee Oslo.
Marianne J — Google review
We visited after doing Parkrun in Tøyen. The egg salad sandwich was incredible - so fresh and flavorful. We also got a coffee, ham and cheese croissant, and cinnamon roll. All were really nice. The ham and cheese could have had more filling but other than that we enjoyed it.
Katrina D — Google review
Nice café with great atmosphere, good food but is a bit pricy.

Mendel’s Oslo is a charming bakery located near Stensparken, offering a peaceful setting to enjoy their delectable treats. The bakery boasts an array of French-inspired pastries such as macarons, croissants, and the delightful Ispahan dessert. Visitors can indulge in light cakes and scones during afternoon tea while admiring the lovely ambiance and excellent service.
Tasty pastries. Wide selection. Pricey. The staffs were accommodating to serve our takeaway order
Zakhariya — Google review
Looks better than it tastes. The pistachio cookie was very had and too sweet with basic-tasting caramel.
Artur N — Google review
Saw that they had an ice cream croissant so I was interested since i love ice cream and croissants but I was a bit disappointed. The worker was very sweet and double checked whether I wanted nuts on top or not and I specifically said no. However, the worker was different when they gave me my dessert and there were nuts on top when I said I didn’t want any nuts. The ice cream croissant in itself was okay. The croissant and ice cream were good separately but together, it was very heavy as the ice cream made the croissant veryyyy soggy. I wonder if they can toast the croissant first and then put the ice cream on top? The dessert was also very messy to eat. It was spilling on all sides and my hands were very sticky. Overall, the workers were very sweet and the interior of the bakery was beautiful. The other desserts looked very good but I would not get the ice cream croissant again. Also, the workers need better communication.
Azelle K — Google review
They look good, that’s all. I had a pastry and a chocolate mousse. The pastry was soggy and surprisingly didn’t have much flavour. The mousse was nothing special either, not much different from a supermarket one. It also had very chunky cacao nibs that hurt my teeth. But the staff were nice!
Ye K — Google review
It’s a really nice place with good atmosphere but you have to take into account the price point and for what they charge I do not think it’s worth it. Maybe grab a desert and leave it at that. Can’t fault the service the though the staff were polite, it did take around 10-15 mins for the food to come but we didn’t mind as the restaurant is well kept and we did enjoy the seating.
Legitbull — Google review
Looks great but tastes below par. It’s in a prime location and the cafe bakery looks a 10/10 you want to be there for that. The pastries are all camera ready 👌🥳 The staff very attentive and helpful. The pastry I had was the almond cinnamon bun with the concept inspired from the almond croissant. The result 4/10, the dough was too dry and only the almond brought life to it in between bites. The macaroon was 7/10…more sugar less fruit taste that it is representing. So it was not my best bakery experience.
Faraaz A — Google review
Really nice atmosphere, they also had a good variety of options for pastries and sandwiches. I got the chai latte and the cinnamon bun, unfortunately the chai latte wasn't the best as it was lukewarm and quite plain however the cinnamon bun was delicious. I would reccomend others to go here.
Lithu — Google review
The worst pastry I have ever had....generally Norwegian pastries are not that good but I expected better from this place. They all looked beautiful but the taste was super bad. At least the pastry I had. It was so soggy where it had to be crispy, and just terrible baking....other local bakery shops are much better when it comes to buns and pastries

W.B. Samson - Grünerløkka is a renowned bakery known for its high-quality baked goods and unique flavors. The bakery offers a wide variety of bread, cakes, buns, and other sweet treats in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. While some customers found the skolebrød too sweet and suggested improvements to the semlor, others enjoyed the cinnamon buns despite detecting a slight chemical taste possibly from baking mats.
I had the chance to taste their fresh pastries at both the central branch and the grunerløka. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality; both spots exceeded expectations with their quick service, reasonable prices and good quality.
Anahita T — Google review
This has nothing to do with the staff - they are always nice and welcoming. Three stars comes from the fact that for the last two years the company has been decreasing the amount of cheese in their toasts and today was finally the day I got a toast with no cheese whatsoever. They have been increasing the prices so no clue where these cuts come from. Has been my go to breakfast place since I moved to Oslo in 2018 but this may be the last straw.
Ewelina W — Google review
Great cinnamon rolls. The coffee was a bit light. The service was great and workers friendly
Marc S — Google review
Cosy place to sit, but that’s all. The girl who worked there couldn’t smile and was not friendly like the rest of the cafes. I ordered an cortado but looked nothing like a cortado.

W.B. Samson - Folketeaterpassasjen is a popular cafe chain in Oslo known for its artisan bread, traditional Norwegian sweet treats like cinnamon buns and skoleboller, and a variety of sandwiches including vegan options. The cafe offers good coffee and breakfast options such as musli bread with brown cheese. It provides a calm atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to enjoy coffee or get some work done.
One of the best lattes in Oslo! The coffee is smooth and consistently good, and the cinnamon buns are just really tasty. The cafe has a cozy, tucked-away feel especially nice during the colder months. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to sit and stay for a while. A hidden gem in the city.

This branch is a much nicer place to enjoy a nice cinnamon bun with a cup of coffee, comparing to its original store. Visit it when the stores opens, and you would get a very relaxing and quiet time there. The staff would have time to chat with you!

Nice cafe. Good pastries and coffee. But a bit disappointed of 20 for refills.

The atmosphere is very calm and peaceful, it's great for a coffee. The cinnamon roll was very good !!
Manon B — Google review
WB Samson is my favourite cafe chain in Oslo! There is a ton of artisan bread and traditional Norwegian sweet treats here, including cinnamon buns and the more uniquely Norwegian skoleboller - sweet buns topped with custard and dessicated coconut. Meanwhile, there is a good range of sandwiches for those who prefer savoury, including an excellent vegan hummus, tomato and avocado baguette.
William A — Google review
We popped in for three coffees as it was a cold day. Service by the young ladies was friendly and helpful, and one of them recommended the double chocolate cake. It was nice, if slightly too sweet. We did not try their signature cinnamon bun as we are not keen on that spice. The eatery is located within a small walk through arcade, which also features a very tall statue of a woman.

Nestled in the heart of Oslo, Lutlaget L/L is a delightful fusion of a brasserie, bakery, wine bar, and pizza restaurant brought to life by Lofthus Samvirkelag and Apent Bakeri. Under the expert guidance of pastry chef Diana Elizondo and her husband, chef Martin Gnecco, this establishment has quickly become renowned for its exceptional offerings.
Found by chance it was a pleasant discovery, so much so that I chose it for breakfast every day of the holiday. Very very nice and relaxing location, close to the Munch museum. The products are high quality and heavenly good. There are several choices, if I had to make a ranking of what I tasted I would put the cardamom puff pastry in first place, the hazelnut puff pastry in second, the raspberry cupcake in third and the cinnamon puff pastry in last. I missed the pistachio puff pastry which was very inspiring anyway. I highly recommend this pastry shop, if I ever return to Oslo it would be a must-see!! Love it🥰
Sabra F — Google review
I fell in love with this café during my stay in Oslo. The bread tasted absolutely amazing and I was also a big fan of the sweet backed goods (some kind of cinnamon bun topped with vanilla custard). Orders are taken on the far left side at the counter, whereas drinks are handed on the bar to the right/front. The concept was a bit confusing at first. I enjoyed it very much and came back two more times. Sadly sandwiches are not available first thing in the morning. But I will for sure visit again on my next trip!
Janina M — Google review
Had a lovely dinner here. French bistro style. Pricy even by Norway standards but top quality. Drink took ages to arrive but food arrived in good time. Lovely waiting staff. Very nice decor.
Carl B — Google review
An Exceptionally Executed Meal at Lutlaget, Oslo Dining at Lutlaget was a masterclass in understated excellence. From the moment we were seated, the service struck a balance between professionalism and genuine warmth, setting the tone for a memorable evening. Our meal began with a simple yet remarkable offering: freshly baked bread. The contrast between the delicately crisp crust and pillowy soft interior was textbook perfection. So much so, we found ourselves requesting more — a gesture our waiter graciously obliged, emblematic of the attentive and generous hospitality throughout the evening. For our main course, we shared the Entrecôte, accompanied by French fries and a choice of sauce au poivre or café de Paris. Both sauces were exemplary, with the café de Paris in particular standing out — rich, aromatic, and laced with a subtle depth of flavour that elevated the dish to something truly memorable. The steak itself was cooked precisely medium rare, as ordered — seared with confidence, and rested to preserve its tenderness and full flavour. At the recommendation of our waiter, we added the green salad — a thoughtful accompaniment, dressed in a house vinaigrette, generously adorned with Parmigiano-Reggiano and a striking layer of shaved beetroot. The acidity and texture played beautifully against the richness of the meat and sauce. Service was nothing short of superb. Our waiter demonstrated a deep understanding of the menu, offering well-judged recommendations while remaining effortlessly attentive. His composure, timing, and precision would not be out of place in a Michelin-starred dining room. And we have a wealth of experience eating in these restaurants. In sum, Lutlaget delivers a level of quality and care — both on the plate and in the dining experience — that signals something quietly special is happening here. We would return without hesitation.
Ciarán — Google review
Oslo has very popular backer’s and this part of restaurant is very nice and they have so good quality ( like a 🇫🇷) cakes with so unimaginable and divine taste with beautiful decoration.
Mirjana G — Google review
BAKERY. Good pastries and coffee. The prices are on the expensive side, but that was expected. Quite difficult to find a table on a Saturday. The tables lacked cleaning, they were sticky. The service was a bit cold with almost no communication at all. No decaf.
Laura B — Google review
Visited the cafe part of the restaurant. The bun was delicious and fluffy, would have loved to try some more of the assortment as it also looked delicious. Will sure do next time!

One of my personal highlights in pastry-hunting around Oslo! Very cosy and esthetically looking bakery for your slow morning coffee stop. Their barista was super friendly and suggested one of their summer menu specials and we both agreed I’ll leave a review if I would like her suggestion :) Well, the lime-mint pastry was one of the best things I tried in a long while, so here comes my small part, hands down recommended!

Åpent Bakeri Barcode is a local favorite in Oslo, offering a variety of handmade bread, pastries, and sandwiches. The cozy ambiance makes it perfect for a breakfast stop. One must-try item is the Yolainys steak sandwich, featuring perfectly grilled steak on artisanal bread with fresh vegetables and savory sauce. Visitors praise the delicious croissants, cardamom buns, and solid coffee.
My Daily Ritual at Åpent Bakeri: A Consistently Delightful Experience As a visitor to Oslo, I've found my daily ritual at Åpent Bakeri, and it has quickly become a highlight of my trip. This marks my third consecutive day here, and each visit has been nothing short of fantastic. My go-to order—coffee and avocado toast with two extra eggs—has been consistently delicious. The food quality is superb, always fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The staff here truly stands out. They are incredibly friendly and warm, always making me feel welcome. While they're open to customizing orders, I've found that the original balance of the dishes is so thoughtfully crafted that any changes can slightly disrupt the harmony. For a coffee and meal, expect to pay around 250 KR, and for a quick pick-up, it's typically between 150 and 200 KR. Even on weekday mornings, Åpent Bakeri is bustling, a testament to its popularity among locals. The crowd is often well-dressed and appears quite content, whether they're deep in conversation or focused on their work. This lively atmosphere, combined with the visible communication between the chef and assistant to ensure order accuracy, creates a confident and efficient vibe. Cleanliness is paramount to me, and Åpent Bakeri consistently meets my high standards. The bathroom is always well-maintained with stocked soap, which I believe speaks volumes about a business's commitment to overall hygiene and healthy practices. Out in the main area, the food display is impeccably organized, and I've never observed any cross-contamination of pastries. Beyond my beloved avocado toast—where the perfectly cooked, runny egg and balanced portions of avocado, bread, mayo, and seasoning shine—I've also indulged in their pancakes and chocolate scone. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, and thick, served with fresh, juicy berries. While I wished for one more pancake, I appreciate that you can easily add an extra. The chocolate scone was also a treat: thick, delightfully crumbly on the outside, and soft on the inside. While the coffee is good and certainly gets the job done, it might not be considered "top shelf." However, this is a minor detail in an otherwise exceptional experience. Expect a short line for ordering, usually 2 to 5 minutes, but rest assured the staff are excellent listeners and always verify your order with care. Åpent Bakeri has truly won me over with its delicious food, warm service, vibrant atmosphere, and unwavering commitment to quality. It's clear why it's a local favorite, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly authentic and enjoyable bakery experience in Oslo.

So so so so delicious!!! Everything is fresh and tasty, made to order. I love the atmosphere here! Nothings better than a good skolebrød on a rainy day, and this place sells the best pastries in Oslo. I also love the salad I ordered, the best I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back one day!
Andrea H — Google review
A lovely spot for breakfast. The food was good overall, and I especially enjoyed the high-quality sourdough bread. However, the pastry wasn’t as fresh as I had hoped, which was a bit disappointing. Still, a nice place to start the day.

Egg and avocado toast was incredible!! Iced coffee was great too. It took a while for the toast to be ready which wasn't a problem but if you're stopping in between set meetings/tours, give yourself leeway in case it's a slow kitchen day. Large outside seating area and the inside cafe area was super cute.

Avocado and eggs were sooooo good, surprisingly for a basic breakfast. Pancakes were fine as well. Mocca is always great. It’s a spacious branch with a hot breakfast menu.
Rahma F — Google review
Lovely cafe with a great vibe. We visited on a Wednesday at around 10:30am and it was a full house! We got a table and got our meal and coffee quite quickly. We tried the avocado and egg and egg and bacon dishes and they were great. We struggled to find a place in Oslo that had substantial breakfast options (aside from pastries) at reasonable prices and this place ticked all the boxes! Coffee was also great. Would highly recommend!

Very extraordinary service. Overwhelmingly good place. Superb food and people. Tip: they can give you a glass full of sparkling water for free! Yummy taste too. All fresh food

I came a couple of weeks ago and it was super busy so had to sit outside, however they supply blankets and the coffee and bun were so good I didn’t mind. They had an extensive food menu if you wanted brunch and bar seating available as well as tables inside

Baker Hansen Kvadraturen is a local cafe in Oslo that offers special breakfast packages and caters to gluten-free cravings. It is known for its mix of traditional and modern pastries, reflecting the city's baking heritage. Visitors rave about the fluffy and delicious cinnamon rolls as well as the freshly made sandwiches. The bakery has received praise for its range of gluten-free products, including sandwiches with various fillings and delectable pastry items.
What a amazing place to have a coffee in this autumn weather. Inside atmosphere is cozy & resplendent. Variety of sandwiches and bakeries inclusive healthy options. Coffee taste was good. Service could bit more constructive if they are not tired.

Norwegian bakery chain with multiple branches around Oslo. Offers a nice selection of savory and sweet baked goods as well as refreshments. Comfy and spacious place to hang in.
Sheila C — Google review
Ate a few times through our trip in Norway from two different Baker Hansen stores. Main reason for the first visit was having read reviews about their gluten free products, and did not disappoint. The gluten free sandwiches were delicious and there were a range of choices for filling. They make them fresh in store (saw them being made). The gluten free pastry items I tried were all amazing, I am sad I won't get them back home. Make sure you ask the staff if you don't see the gluten free, it's separated and they will happily help you. Not everything is always available, but give what is there a try. My partner tried a range of their normal products (sandwiches and bakery items) said they all tasted good as well.
Katie T — Google review
Food options were okay, if you like a smoothie they were excellent, very fresh tasting. Seating area was comfortable and the staff was nice. Espresso beans were a little sweeter and less bitter than my tastes. Would go again.

Excellent bakery and coffee shop. Best scones i have tasted. Friendly staff!
Linda H — Google review
The shrimp salad there is the best I’ve had in my life. Stay two days in Oslo, I managed to eat it twice.
Chinh B — Google review
The croissant was undercooked and that is unacceptable for a bakery. Also the food/pastry displays were so empty, and not because they were sold out, but because they don’t sell much. They use fake plants to fill out the empty shelves.
Laura C — Google review
I gave this place a chance several times because my Norwegian friend loves this bakery chain very much. There are no complaints about coffee, it's good. But the buns and sandwiches are very dry for me. Do something about it

Kaffistova is a lovely high tea cafe with a Nordic feel and delicious homemade food. They have many wonderful cakes and the service was excellent. However, they forgot to give us spoons for our cappuccinos and were not very interested in picking up our plates after we finished our meal.
Absolutely loved this place. My 3 course meal was perfection. One of my favorite meals in the city. The service was great and I liked the design and ambiance. I had the fish soup, the arctic char and a rhubarb ice crab dessert. The arctic chart melted in my mouth.

Good place to try Norwegian food. We choose this restaurant more by convenience than for the place itself. We took the 3 courses meal menu and it was good but that’s it. We waited at least 45 minutes between the starter and the main course. We had difficulties understanding the waiters and we both speak English fluently. The atmosphere is okay. It’s pretty with a fake flower and a fake candle but one again nothing special .
Cécé Z — Google review
This restaurant s design is cool, very cozy. And the food is good! The fried fish is so crispy and not greasy, and the soup is rich in taste and tasty. The caramel cake is yummy too, thank you

Great place to try meat patties in gravy. Nice location, easy to get to. Made reservations for an afternoon in early June and were seated immediately at a nice table by the window. Would recommend!
N — Google review
The space itself is nice—very cozy and modern. However, when I went on a Thursday night, there appeared to be only two waiters and a host. I waited by the entrance for about 10 minutes before the host acknowledged me, and then another 10 minutes to be seated. Prices are average, and so is the food.
Adrian — Google review
Next time I will try some other dishes but anyway the food was very good. I also tried some dessert which was fresh and tasty. Maybe little bit expensive but this place has some energy and atmosphere that I haven’t found anywhere else in Norway!

United Bakeries offers a cozy, family-owned atmosphere and delicious cinnamon buns that evoke a sense of home. The bakery also serves a small selection of salads, sandwiches, and an array of pastries and sweet treats, including traditional Norwegian waffles. While the service is generally fast and friendly, it can get busy on weekends. Customers recommend trying the Jacobs bread, a sourdough made with mixed flours.
We had Brown Cheese Waffles here and they were so good! The staff are lovely too!

Nice place, located in sentrum, with a lot of space to seat both inside the cafe and in the shopping center. I had a very fresh and tasty club sandwich here which was good until I noticed that the place needs a deep dusting as soon as possible!!! I lost my appetite when I noticed the amount of dust right over the food desk! Therefore I can not give more than one star to the atmosphere…
Sarah — Google review
Old: ''The coffee was good, but the server was rude. I didn’t know she was helping someone else, and she gave me a very mean look. The cafe wasn’t even busy. I won’t come back.'' PS: after receiving the thoughtful response, I decided to give them another try. I was genuinely surprised by how welcoming and considerate they were. When I visited again, the service was excellent. They even offered me a complimentary and it truly changed my perspective. I am happy to update my rating to reflect this positive experience.

Came to try school bread, however this one was a little dry and I hoped there would be more cardamon flavour. The cinnamon bun was a good level of cinnamon but also a little dry. The place was very busy, but had seats in the cafe and in the shopping centre. As the place was so busy it was a little chaotic waiting for my oat cappuccino with other people taking each others coffees.
Lily G — Google review
Very centrally located, outside seating - perfect for spring and summer. Tables need to be cleared more often though. Pink lemonade was refreshing and the cappuccino was alright.
Aditee S — Google review
Great staff, very helpful, kind and patient. Good pastries and sandwiches, large portions, and decent coffee too. We went there following their recent collaboration between them and the Bob W hotel, for breakfast up to 240 kr/person. Definitely recommend if you're in the area, or if you've booked with the hotel!
Max J — Google review
Had a chai latte and smorebrod. The chai tasted water. The "bulle" was nothing special. You had to pay 20 NOK to use the bathroom in the shopping mall. Weird that a cafe doesn't offer costumers free access to the bathroom.
Maya F — Google review
Wanted to get some waffles and I saw this place had some pretty good reviews for Waffles. I ordered an affogato (ice cream and espresso) this was made very aestically but the chocolate chips were super big, it was most of ice cream than affogato but still ok. Then we ordered a cinnamon roll as well as a Norwegian Waffle. This is before we knew about the raspberry jam, brunost cheese and sour cream combo so we just got strawberry jam and sour cream with it. I liked how this place had self serve tap water and the employees were super chill. Food was great and fast service.

In addition to tasty pastries, guests also appreciated the helpful staff who provided recommendations for hiking tours.
Great place to grab coffee and cake whilst in Oslo. The staff are very friendly and polite. I believe this is a chain of coffee shops however the cakes, pastries and coffees are delicious. Prices are very reasonable considering it's Oslo. Highly recommended!

Cute little bakery with a few seats to have coffee. Enjoyed a nice break here with coffee, cinnamon buns and cardamom buns. Loved the cardamom bun I had, so good! The staff was nice and there are a few bits and pieces being sold in there as well, like jam for example. Bread looked amazing as well but I didn't try any.

W.B. Samson – Egertorget is a popular bakery in Oslo, Norway known for its delicious cinnamon buns and Skolebrod, a sweet roll filled with custard and grated coconut. The cinnamon buns are described as having an expressive taste, being moist on the inside with a crispy crust. While they may be a bit greasy, they are highly recommended for their flavor. Visitors also praise the quality of the coffees and other cakes offered at the bakery.
What a great place for a snack and coffee. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is lovely. I came two days in a row to get a delicious toast (ham and cheese) and the cinnamon buns. I also had a hot chocolate. Not exactly a cheap place but seemed close to the Oslo average.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the bakery Samson in the center of Oslo. Nice bakery located on the pedestrian cobblestone avenues in the center of Oslo. I only tried the almond croissant, which was very good. The service was quick, prices reasonable, and there are plenty of indoor tables if you want to sit down. Clean restrooms available as well. Great central location.

Probably the best sweet bread in town. You can order to go -which we did several times- or eat there which we also did. Service is good and fast and efficient. When we ate there it was nice.. not a lot of space but enough to enjoy a sandwich and a coffee. Location is very good and they are open until 8 I think. We were there many times and we will come back for sure

The best cinnamon bun I have ever tasted. Coffee is good. Would travel to Oslo again just to have their pastries! Stunning. Pricey but worth it.

The best KANELBOLLE ! The crispy icing on top and the buttery layer underneath add a perfect crunch. Paired with the soft, fluffy bread inside, the texture is absolutely incredible. The cinnamon filling in the middle is just right—moist, not dry, and not overly sweet. Altogether, it's the best pastry I've ever had in Europe!

Went there yesterday for the lemon cake I really went back to get that cake but instead we got the cinnamon bun, which is also very good and a cup of coffee, which was excellent. Halvorsen Conditori has become one of my go-to spots in Oslo, especially for afternoon tea. The location is unbeatable — right next to the Parliament, in the heart of downtown — and the atmosphere inside is always warm and welcoming. It has this classic charm that makes it perfect for both a quiet solo break and catching up with friends. They offer a great selection of teas, and the quality is consistently good. I appreciate the variety and the attention to detail, whether it’s in the drinks or the small pastries/cakes. It’s an interesting and slightly underrated spot in the city, and I keep going back for a reason. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, central place to unwind.

Good but expensive. I tried the cheesecake with the jam, & it was awesome, unlike the cafes that serve cake with loads of sugar in them. This one felt more home-made. Little pricey though. Very cozy environment & kinda takes you back to the 90's cafes with the wooden stools, simple tables & specious halls. Anyway, I would come back for another bite, for sure!

A bit of a disappointment, unfortunately. Cake was ok. Coffee ☕️ warm and ok. I feel this was more of a gem in the legacy days
