Cafe
Tim Wendelboe is a popular coffee spot that has been open for 15 years and features a wood and bare-brick espresso bar with an on-site micro-roastery. The place is known for its high-quality coffees sourced from various farms in El Salvador, Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia, and Honduras. They offer excellent espresso options such as Ethiopian and Colombian single origin specialty coffees with complex flavors and just the right acidity.
The one of the best coffee I have ever visited; actually came back three times. The Alfredo is creamy and innovative; really nice espressos; the must to be mentioned are the cold coffee and the filter tasting menu. The cold coffee is wonderfully juicy and smoothed; the filter menu is also great; love the selection of the beans.

Definitely love it ❤️ will consider to visit again if I'm in Oslo. 🤵‍♀️ Staff: Staffs are lovely and professional, introduced coffee with attractive details. ☕️ Coffee: Not fan of ice cappuccino, it's cool tho. And the filter coffee is absolutely amazing, smooth and light with sweat flavours. Unforgettable! 🏡 Space: have to say the cafe is a bit tiny with limited numbers of seats. Would probably need to share tables with other guests, I don't mind tho.
Yu S — Google review
Be a loyal customer for over 10 years, this place never let us down. Even though the place is small with limited seats, the tasty, professional coffee collection, and the unique technic offers the one and only coffee experience. Recent years, it attracts more and more tourists, it becomes even busier, glad to see that the quality stays. Outstanding service, the staffs there not only know coffee and explain the tasty, fragrant, and texture so well, but also take care the customers even though they are super busy. Yes, for us, this is the top 1 coffee place in Oslo!
Kloce D — Google review
An incredible coffee experience! The coffee here is unlike anything I’ve had before, rich, unique, and absolutely delicious. The shop itself is small and always buzzing with people, which just shows how loved it is. I also really appreciated the details: they sell their own coffee beans and serve drinks in beautifully designed mugs created in collaboration with a Norwegian artisan. A true gem for coffee lovers, and one I’ll keep coming back to!
Cristina S — Google review
I was lucky to arrive at 8:40am — only one table was occupied. After I ordered, a long queue quickly formed, and it became difficult to find a table to enjoy the coffee. The staff was very patient and helpful, offering suggestions and explaining the features, flavours, and origin of each type of filter coffee, even though the menu already listed them. I ordered the coffee from Kapsokisio, Kenya. It was a light and clean cup with a bright, fruity flavour that reminded me of red berries and a hint of citrus. The finish was smooth and slightly sweet, which made it very refreshing and easy to drink.
H M — Google review
What to say. A must place ti visit for anyone that respects and appreciates the art of Coffee roasting and extracting. Had both espressos, they were amazing, sweet, clean and balanced. A real treat. Barrista girl was super friendly and shared all the information about the coffees and preparations.
El C — Google review
The coffee is really delicious. Even though its busy, the line doesnt take too long. The staff are kind and attentive. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
Selin — Google review
New York Times’s one of the best coffee places is a 10 by 10 meters room with maybe a handful of coffee options and no food, even snacks or a cookie… like literally, only coffee. I don’t necessarily need to eat while drinking my coffee but such concept with a surprise to me. Coffee itself was somewhat okay. I didn’t quite understood the taste but I guess people like it, either because the taste is an absolutely subjective matter or thanks to an article in such famous journal. The personal was but a very charming one, here is a hard off to them.

Mathallen Oslo is an indoor food market that offers a wide range of dining options, specialty shops, and cafes featuring products from small-scale Norwegian producers. It's a great spot to start or end a stroll along the river, with ample space for strollers and convenient amenities like changing tables. Visitors can explore diverse food stalls offering traditional dishes like game stew and unique options such as kangaroo meat. The friendly staff ensures a pleasant dining experience, while the market also provides opportunities for takeout orders.
Came here for dinner, and it's a great food hall with ample selections for varying tastes. There are vegetarian/vegan options as well as great selections for seafood and game. You can also buy desserts, cheeses and alcohol. Most places offer limited seating at their counters, but there are a lot of tables available in the center that are shared between all the different vendors. Highly recommend.
Cindy L — Google review
Great food hall with a wide variety of options from local specialties to Spanish dishes. The place is clean, lively, and the service is excellent. Sometimes a few spots get crowded, but there’s always plenty of choice. You can also buy local products to take home. A really nice place to visit in Oslo!
Lina Z — Google review
If I lived nearby, this would be a regular go to spot. There are so many choices here, and the two places we did try (a Spanish bites place and a goulash one) were both amazing. The vibes are cozy and comfortable-overall if you’re in the area, put it on your to eat list!
Monica F — Google review
This is a multiple smaller businesses operating within the food hall. I tried the meat and fish companies. Both were exceptional. Prices were very tourist-like but the quality was great. The multiple different stores within the market made this a one stop. I saw they also had a butcher shop with aged beef.
C J — Google review
A lovely indoor market with many typical restaurants offering Norwegian specialties. The place we chose required one dish per person if seated inside, which was a bit much as the portions were already generous. Still, the food was excellent, with a great harmony of flavors and ingredients. We really enjoyed discovering elk, reindeer, and whale among others.
Floriane P — Google review
Awesome market and eating places. Has several bars and restaurants plus all the markets for fresh meat, fish, bread, cheeses. Many types of restaurants from sushi to burgers. Fairly “new” (like all things Oslo). Felt like it was built more recently rather than having a long history like other European markets. But we never pass up a stop at the market to see what the locals are eating.

Large scale Le textile mill re imagined as a food hall, providore, coffee places and a welcome respite from the cold. Near the river which powered the mill in former times. Neat, tidy, friendly, warm.

Tasty pastries. Wide selection. Pricey. The staffs were accommodating to serve our takeaway order
Zakhariya — Google review
Looks better than it tastes. The pistachio cookie was very had and too sweet with basic-tasting caramel.
Artur N — Google review
Saw that they had an ice cream croissant so I was interested since i love ice cream and croissants but I was a bit disappointed. The worker was very sweet and double checked whether I wanted nuts on top or not and I specifically said no. However, the worker was different when they gave me my dessert and there were nuts on top when I said I didn’t want any nuts. The ice cream croissant in itself was okay. The croissant and ice cream were good separately but together, it was very heavy as the ice cream made the croissant veryyyy soggy. I wonder if they can toast the croissant first and then put the ice cream on top? The dessert was also very messy to eat. It was spilling on all sides and my hands were very sticky. Overall, the workers were very sweet and the interior of the bakery was beautiful. The other desserts looked very good but I would not get the ice cream croissant again. Also, the workers need better communication.
Azelle K — Google review
They look good, that’s all. I had a pastry and a chocolate mousse. The pastry was soggy and surprisingly didn’t have much flavour. The mousse was nothing special either, not much different from a supermarket one. It also had very chunky cacao nibs that hurt my teeth. But the staff were nice!
Ye K — Google review
It’s a really nice place with good atmosphere but you have to take into account the price point and for what they charge I do not think it’s worth it. Maybe grab a desert and leave it at that. Can’t fault the service the though the staff were polite, it did take around 10-15 mins for the food to come but we didn’t mind as the restaurant is well kept and we did enjoy the seating.
Legitbull — Google review
Looks great but tastes below par. It’s in a prime location and the cafe bakery looks a 10/10 you want to be there for that. The pastries are all camera ready 👌🥳 The staff very attentive and helpful. The pastry I had was the almond cinnamon bun with the concept inspired from the almond croissant. The result 4/10, the dough was too dry and only the almond brought life to it in between bites. The macaroon was 7/10…more sugar less fruit taste that it is representing. So it was not my best bakery experience.
Faraaz A — Google review
Really nice atmosphere, they also had a good variety of options for pastries and sandwiches. I got the chai latte and the cinnamon bun, unfortunately the chai latte wasn't the best as it was lukewarm and quite plain however the cinnamon bun was delicious. I would reccomend others to go here.
Lithu — Google review
The worst pastry I have ever had....generally Norwegian pastries are not that good but I expected better from this place. They all looked beautiful but the taste was super bad. At least the pastry I had. It was so soggy where it had to be crispy, and just terrible baking....other local bakery shops are much better when it comes to buns and pastries

Olympen Bar & Restaurant is a classic Norwegian eatery located in Gronland. The wood-paneled restaurant features paintings and chandeliers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Known for serving traditional Norwegian dishes and continental classics, Olympen offers a three-course menu with simple yet delicious options. In addition to the food, the restaurant boasts an extensive beer selection that is carefully curated to complement the seasons. Guests can expect outstanding service from the friendly staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
This was 2nd time being back. The menu was very different this time around. The Christmas menu was the way to go you try a little bit of everything. There was the appetizer, main course and dessert.
Lucy C — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at Olympen. My wife and I showed up and unbeknownst to us it was a large pub crawl event. The manager, however, made a table available to us very quickly and we received top-notch service and food, even though I'm sure it was not easy for him to accommodate us. We were very grateful and had a very enjoyable evening. The food was great too. Would definitely come back.
Warren G — Google review
A walk on the wild side Haven’t set foot in this part of town in ages. The ambience of Olympen is still right up there. Last time I was here was back in 2014 and I have a snap of Almanac to remember it by. Today, a fair amount of Nøgne Ø at more than reasonable prices. Cheaper than a shot of Garagiste ot Marlobobo for sure. Winerschnitzel was tasty, but a tiny bit overcooked. Wasn’t expecting a lot of sides so the sauerkraut and mash came as a pleasant surprise. Overall a pleasant experience.
Fredric S — Google review
Came here for a British event, Sunday Roast. The place was full and had a cosy atmosphere. My portion of lamb was a little small compared to the others at my table. It was good but a little dry. The servise was good. I’ll be back if they have something similar.
Elaine S — Google review
We had our company party at Olympen and were really impressed. The staff were super accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. Communication was quick and easy, and everything went smoothly. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great time. Just a very well-run place with a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back – highly recommend.
Ishwaq H — Google review
Very nice atmospheres and luckily reopened again once again... I now got to know the 4th style since I was there the first time. Now more a neighborhood pub with cheap prices and ok food. I miss the Belgium beer a bit but the new sorts are ok and cheap. I had a burger that was good for the price. A bit a style of the last century. The lamb sausages with mashed potatoes I can't recommend. The taste was ok but much too heavy. All in all I stay a fan of that place anyway.
Andreas Z — Google review
We went to this place because it said they had traditional Norwegian food - they did not. There was German, Asian, American…but no Norwegian food. The portions were on the smaller side but the prices were high. We had a salad and the mango on it was hard and you could barely chew it. When we arrived they asked if we had a reservation and made it sound like it was going to be hard to seat us. They sat us easily and the restaurant was more empty than full the entire time we were there. Service was just ok.

Lovely local Norwegian restaurant. Had the Cod tongue and herring 3 ways to start and both were fantastic. The roasted deer main was excellently cooked. The staff were super friendly. All-round relaxed at atmosphere. Large beer selection.

Despite some mixed reviews on the freshness of pastries, the coffee receives high praise for its quality and presentation.
Friendly café with great coffee and pastries! We had the Flat White, Hot Coffee, Ham & Cheese Croissant, and a Chocolate Scone — everything was delicious. The croissant was buttery and flaky with just the right amount of filling, and the scone was rich and not too sweet. Cozy spot for a relaxing break. Highly recommended!

Stockfleths is a classic Oslo coffee spot with consistently great quality. The coffee is smooth and well-prepared, and their pastries are just as impressive. Visitors have praised the friendly staff and the delicious offerings, including Norwegian specialties like brown cheese with grain bread and sourdough bread with smoked salmon.
Very nice, cozy and welcoming atmosphere (lots of people come here to work, a good place to stay for a while), staff was really helpful and kind. Free wifi and it works great. Coffee is good, but not great. Some pastries are better than others. Specially recommend the kanelknuter. Lots of options in drinks. Variety of sandwiches, and full breads, granola, coffee, organic flours and even biscotti available to take away.

I am satisfied with every pastry I tried from here. First I bought their wholewheat bread which was delicious. Kulturhuset is a bustling and spacious work-friendly cafe located at Youngstorget in Oslo's city center. Despite its popularity, the several floors ensure that it never feels too crowded, making it an ideal spot to work for hours undisturbed. The venue offers a cozy and fun atmosphere, with great music and good food. While some visitors have noted minor issues with cleanliness and service, many still find it worth returning to for future visits.
I worked from here today! Good food, great work environment. The music was excellent and I used Shazam more then 20 times adding music to my playlists. Food was good and service was brilliant! Supreme Roastworks, Oslo: An Unforgettable Coffee Journey! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent visit to Supreme Roastworks in Oslo was an absolute revelation and a coffee experience I won't soon forget! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Magnus, whose passion for coffee is palpable and incredibly contagious. He didn't just serve me; he took me on a fascinating exploration of the world of specialty coffee. I want to sincerely thank him for the exquisite tasting he offered. Every sip was a symphony of flavors, revealing the exceptional quality of the beans and the incomparable expertise in preparation. Beyond the delicious taste, I was particularly captivated by all his excellent explanations on coffee origins, the nuances of roasting, and the different brewing methods. These exchanges profoundly enriched my understanding and appreciation for this complex and wonderful beverage. The atmosphere at Supreme Roastworks is as welcoming as the coffee is delicious. You can feel the meticulous attention to every detail, transforming each cup into a true moment of pleasure. For anyone looking for a deeper coffee experience, combining impeccable quality with passionate service, Supreme Roastworks is the must-visit address in Oslo. Good coffee. Nice interior. Lovely service
Eric B — Google review
One of the best coffees you can have in Oslo with no doubt! No surprise there is a line in front of them. I loved their cappuccino and Colombian coffee beans. It was between chocolate & berries kinda flavour, nice for french press. If you just ask for baristas' advice for coffee beans, they'll direct you perfectly.
Ayçin — Google review
Very nice little cafe. Arguably the best coffee in Oslo. At least over time. Almost every cup here will be great. This place masters both espresso based and pour over coffee. Coffee is roasted on site.

Handwerk is a charming café located in the Oslo botanic garden. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great spot for families. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked goods, including delicious bread and ham, along with a variety of coffee options. The cashier's helpfulness in explaining the daily menu in Norwegian adds to the welcoming experience. Additionally, patrons appreciate the quality of their soup, making it a perfect place to visit during the fall season.
We go there almost every saturday. This is our local Tøyen parkrun cafe. Nothing beats the athmosphere in the garden in the summertime. And they serve the best Coffee Oslo.

We visited after doing Parkrun in Tøyen. The egg salad sandwich was incredible - so fresh and flavorful. We also got a coffee, ham and cheese croissant, and cinnamon roll. All were really nice. The ham and cheese could have had more filling but other than that we enjoyed it.

W.B. Samson - Grünerløkka is a renowned bakery known for its high-quality baked goods and unique flavors. The bakery offers a wide variety of bread, cakes, buns, and other sweet treats in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. While some customers found the skolebrød too sweet and suggested improvements to the semlor, others enjoyed the cinnamon buns despite detecting a slight chemical taste possibly from baking mats.
I had the chance to taste their fresh pastries at both the central branch and the grunerløka. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality; both spots exceeded expectations with their quick service, reasonable prices and good quality.
Anahita T — Google review
This has nothing to do with the staff - they are always nice and welcoming. Three stars comes from the fact that for the last two years the company has been decreasing the amount of cheese in their toasts and today was finally the day I got a toast with no cheese whatsoever. They have been increasing the prices so no clue where these cuts come from. Has been my go to breakfast place since I moved to Oslo in 2018 but this may be the last straw.

Amazing little bakery! Great fresh pastries with soft pillow dough, nice fresh bread in beautiful sandwiches and great coffee. A truly must do early morning breakfast stop while in Oslo! The pistachio pastry was amazing!

I have dine in couple of times at this bakery, I loved their sandwiches, very good for proper lunch, they are very fresh, soft bread, super tasty and affordable! Yummy bakeries and sourdough bread too 🌸 definitely recommend to dine in! The chicken sandwich is my fav! The place is cute and the person working is very efficient and friendly :)

Charming Local Bakery with Fresh Bakes This bakery opens early at 8:00am on weekends - a lifesaver when you’re looking for breakfast. When I arrived, the shop owner had just brought out a fresh tray of kanelbolle (cinnamon buns). The warm cinnamon aroma was irresistible, and I knew I had to try one immediately. I ordered a cappuccino and a kanelbolle. It was absolutely delicious! The outside was lightly crispy, while the inside was soft and fluffy. What stood out most was that they use less sugar than other bakeries — something the shop owner proudly mentioned, and you could really taste the difference. I also picked up a fetaost (double cheese bread) to take away. The flavour was great, rich and savoury, but the bottom was a little oily, and the oil soaked into the paper bag. Overall, I was really impressed by the breads here, whether sweet or savoury. It’s a bakery full of heart and tradition, and I’d highly recommend to taste authentic Norwegian bread.

Lovely bakery with great sandwiches and baked goods. Super tasty and highly recommend! The owner is the baker and it feels as if you are enjoying a homemade meal in his living room.

This is the best bakery in Oslo, my absolute favourite. The owner is so sweet and welcoming, always smiling. The food is amazing, freshly baked sandwiches that are made on the spot, and you can choose what you want in it. Bread and buns are also delicious and fresh. Such a cozy and friendly atmosphere. I'm so happy I found this place and I recommend it to everyone I know. I am on a mission to help more people find this tiny gem as I feel not many know about it and it's a shame.

We were there last Fall, forgot to review at the time - just thought of it again and wanted to leave my 5 stars. It was a wonderful “find out”, the prices are so low for Oslo center, cakes are super delicious, it is super cozy and comfortable. The place itself is small but it is so clean and waitresses are super gentle and helpful. Thank you for the experience, I’d love to recommend it for the visit.

We paid regular visits to the Pascal cafe next door, first time here at the restaurant. It seems no need to book in advance for a Saturday lunch. We drop in, and it is half full. The menu is simple, around 6 choices. Nice to have a kid menu. Food flavor is standardly good. The room is charming, which add a bit of flavor to the meal. Ending with some sweets is never a bed idea here in Pascal. Very friendly service. We have a nice time.
Kloce D — Google review
I recently had lunch at Pascal and ordered the fish soup, which turned out to be a poor choice. It’s clear that ordering fish soup at a place specialized in desserts isn’t wise. The portion was small, with just 2 small cubes of salmon, 1 or 2 cubes of cod, 3 shrimps, and a few thin slices of vegetables in clear soup. Despite the menu advertising mussels, there were none!!! The soup was more of an appetizer portion, and while the taste was okay, it was disappointing for lunch. On the other hand, I highly recommend their cakes and chocolates. Next time, I'll definitely stick to their desserts instead of the warm dishes.

Delicious cake and macaron, nice coffee, friendly staff, we very appreciated that they even make the fire place for us even we are just only one table in the cafe, it’s show that how much they care about the service for all customers, this is not the first time I visit them and it’s been always get the nice quality of products and service. Highly recommended.

Great place to eat lunch or just for the afternoon. They specialize in sweets such as chocolates, macaroons and cakes. They have a good variety of choice. This place, especially, is small but cozy, so thr afternoon tea or coffee can have a sweet pastry to accompany our break. They also have savory products to sell. Good choice for coffee, tea, chocolates and macaroons, very near the Posthallen.

Staff is lovely! Baked goods seemed delicious. This time I went for a softis with espresso shot, basically an affogato with softis instead of gelato. But I was a bit disappointed with softis. The best I had was definitely not here. It was too frozen. However, I want to give this place another shot for its baked goods and macaroons.

Åpent Bakeri Barcode is a local favorite in Oslo, offering a variety of handmade bread, pastries, and sandwiches. The cozy ambiance makes it perfect for a breakfast stop. One must-try item is the Yolainys steak sandwich, featuring perfectly grilled steak on artisanal bread with fresh vegetables and savory sauce. Visitors praise the delicious croissants, cardamom buns, and solid coffee.
My Daily Ritual at Åpent Bakeri: A Consistently Delightful Experience As a visitor to Oslo, I've found my daily ritual at Åpent Bakeri, and it has quickly become a highlight of my trip. This marks my third consecutive day here, and each visit has been nothing short of fantastic. My go-to order—coffee and avocado toast with two extra eggs—has been consistently delicious. The food quality is superb, always fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The staff here truly stands out. They are incredibly friendly and warm, always making me feel welcome. While they're open to customizing orders, I've found that the original balance of the dishes is so thoughtfully crafted that any changes can slightly disrupt the harmony. For a coffee and meal, expect to pay around 250 KR, and for a quick pick-up, it's typically between 150 and 200 KR. Even on weekday mornings, Åpent Bakeri is bustling, a testament to its popularity among locals. The crowd is often well-dressed and appears quite content, whether they're deep in conversation or focused on their work. This lively atmosphere, combined with the visible communication between the chef and assistant to ensure order accuracy, creates a confident and efficient vibe. Cleanliness is paramount to me, and Åpent Bakeri consistently meets my high standards. The bathroom is always well-maintained with stocked soap, which I believe speaks volumes about a business's commitment to overall hygiene and healthy practices. Out in the main area, the food display is impeccably organized, and I've never observed any cross-contamination of pastries. Beyond my beloved avocado toast—where the perfectly cooked, runny egg and balanced portions of avocado, bread, mayo, and seasoning shine—I've also indulged in their pancakes and chocolate scone. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, and thick, served with fresh, juicy berries. While I wished for one more pancake, I appreciate that you can easily add an extra. The chocolate scone was also a treat: thick, delightfully crumbly on the outside, and soft on the inside. While the coffee is good and certainly gets the job done, it might not be considered "top shelf." However, this is a minor detail in an otherwise exceptional experience. Expect a short line for ordering, usually 2 to 5 minutes, but rest assured the staff are excellent listeners and always verify your order with care. Åpent Bakeri has truly won me over with its delicious food, warm service, vibrant atmosphere, and unwavering commitment to quality. It's clear why it's a local favorite, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly authentic and enjoyable bakery experience in Oslo.

So so so so delicious!!! Everything is fresh and tasty, made to order. I love the atmosphere here! Nothings better than a good skolebrød on a rainy day, and this place sells the best pastries in Oslo. I also love the salad I ordered, the best I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back one day!
Andrea H — Google review
A lovely spot for breakfast. The food was good overall, and I especially enjoyed the high-quality sourdough bread. However, the pastry wasn’t as fresh as I had hoped, which was a bit disappointing. Still, a nice place to start the day.

Egg and avocado toast was incredible!! Iced coffee was great too. It took a while for the toast to be ready which wasn't a problem but if you're stopping in between set meetings/tours, give yourself leeway in case it's a slow kitchen day. Large outside seating area and the inside cafe area was super cute.

Avocado and eggs were sooooo good, surprisingly for a basic breakfast. Pancakes were fine as well. Mocca is always great. It’s a spacious branch with a hot breakfast menu.

Lovely cafe with a great vibe. We visited on a Wednesday at around 10:30am and it was a full house! We got a table and got our meal and coffee quite quickly. We tried the avocado and egg and egg and bacon dishes and they were great. We struggled to find a place in Oslo that had substantial breakfast options (aside from pastries) at reasonable prices and this place ticked all the boxes! Coffee was also great. Would highly recommend!

Sheila C — Google review
Ate a few times through our trip in Norway from two different Baker Hansen stores. Main reason for the first visit was having read reviews about their gluten free products, and did not disappoint. The gluten free sandwiches were delicious and there were a range of choices for filling. They make them fresh in store (saw them being made). The gluten free pastry items I tried were all amazing, I am sad I won't get them back home. Make sure you ask the staff if you don't see the gluten free, it's separated and they will happily help you. Not everything is always available, but give what is there a try. My partner tried a range of their normal products (sandwiches and bakery items) said they all tasted good as well.

The croissant was undercooked and that is unacceptable for a bakery. Also the food/pastry displays were so empty, and not because they were sold out, but because they don’t sell much. They use fake plants to fill out the empty shelves.

Was looking for some pastry’s around my area and stopped here as I seen many reviews. Will say I am a bit disappointed in the pastries, the dough was quite sticky and not flacky and buttery at all. I imagine that’s why they’re so easy access and at good price !

During our five days in Oslo, Bake Me Up at Torggata quickly became our "go-to" place for lunch or dinner take-away baguette sandwiches. Very fresh bread (typically whole wheat or similar dark bread with seeds) and substantial ingredients (such as lettuce and other vegies, pastrami, cheese, etc.). Didn't have the chance to try out their many types of pastries, but definitely looked appealing. Reasonable prices and friendly service the four times we visited.

The quality of service very poor:-(. the gentleman who made the coffee was quite nice but the lady was grumpy and unpleasant. The cleaning method also leaves much to be desired, the floor is sticky with dirt, the tables are wiped with a dirty cloth, the same cloth used outside as inside. Good black coffee, unfortunately nothing more. I think someone should check this place for compliance with cleanliness rules

Have been twice now and both times very disappointed. I was barked orders at by the women who work there about where to sit and where to put my baby. Service is very poor and the coffee very-lazily made and crap. Place is dirty. The sandwiches and cakes are nice but the high prices make this a poor choice compared to other great cafes in Oslo.

I was much In need of something sweet so I bought 2 types of cake's to try them out. I ordered I passion cheesecake , that was what they called it, but I didn't tasted at all like cheese cake. the cake's are not being taking care of, the fridge was not cold enough. the kake where warm and old .. it has been like that at least the hole day ...I guess from opening time until now if not from yesterday. Very bad texture and not good combination of supposed cheesecake with allmont base .. . The second option was a "sneakers cake " that didn't teast at all like sneakers cake , more like butter cake .. ugh 😫 it was completely melted and the teast butter ,very very bad and old as well. From 1 -10 I give this 2 cakes a 1/10 . Worse part is that I got pain in my stomach.. I paid over 100 for both. Not worth it at all. Very sad. Now iam felling sick and I really didn't expected to be this bad. They girls working there did absolutely need more trening, I guess that's not them fold that they didn't know nothing at all .. Btw I am a baker I know what I am talking about .. I gues my advice will be, fix a good place where to have the cake's .. and change the recipes of your cakes. Cuz is really not right. I feel like a kid can bake better then this .

Easily the best cookies in Oslo! My personal favorite is the Fewwewo Wocher cookie, but the GOAT has it's name for a reason. If you're feeling adventurous, the Habibi cookie is also a top contender, offering a unique flavor profile and texture compared to a "standard" cookie. Don't skip the cupcakes either, as they are super moist and well executed.

TASTIEST YUMMIEST CUPCAKES EVER 🧁🧁🧁 Expensive but worth it! So delicious, they also do a completely vegan cupcake too. It is Oreo flavour! I had the s’mores one, called By the Campfire and it was unreal! Highly recommend. The guy working there was also really lovely and friendly :)

Bakery
Obelia is a charming French patisserie located between Oslo's botanical garden and the newly established sculpture park at Klosterenga. Run by the friendly French-Italian Quentin Coudert, who previously worked at Pascal, this pastry shop offers an array of delectable treats. From cakes and savory bakes to pastries and macarons, Obelia's selection is both visually stunning and bursting with flavor. The seasonal rotation ensures fresh offerings like rhubarb in summer and apple in autumn.
The best patisseries in Oslo, an absolute gem !!! Everything is simply exquisite, from the first bite to the last. You can go with complete confidence, every treat is a delight. It’s truly one of the must-visit spots in Oslo for anyone who loves fine pastries. The only downside? It’s only open on weekends… but maybe that just makes it all the more special and worth the wait!

Overall a nice neighborhood bakery, which offers uncommon French specials. As a big fan of Madeleine, these are at an ok level. Puff pastries are good :)

A world-class French patisserie with the friendliest neighbourhood vibe and prices that won’t break the bank. The owner Quentin is always smiling and helpful to customers, and you can tell he loves what he does. The selection of cakes, savoury bakes, pastries and macarons is unreal - not only do they look beautiful, but they are soooo flavourful and well made. There’s also seasonal bakes in rotation (rhubarb in the summer, apple in autumn and so on). It is very tough to recommend just one thing. We go here 1-2 times a month and love trying something different each time. The mini cakes are delicious and so pretty, perfect for a small celebration. The New York rolls - filled with caramel or dipped in chocolate - are flaky and addictive. And we don’t usually like macarons (finding them too sugary or synthetic in flavour), but Obelia’s taste great without being too sweet. We hope this place will stay here for a long time and keep the friendly vibe as more and more people discover the place. Truly one of the gems in Oslo.

Best canele I have tried in Oslo. French bakers that know their pastries

Absolutely tasty French goodies. So far, I tried a lot from this patisserie/bakery. Their croissants are pretty good. Cakes are delicious. Fastelavnsboller with French twist were also yum although they were far more different than the traditional Norwegian fastelavnsboller.

Let me start with the most important part... They have the best croissants in Scandinavia!!!! Have a look at the picture attached. I could not resist finishing most of the croissants before stopping to take the picture. See how the layers stay apart. This is a labour of love. And sure enough the baker told me that he starts making these at 2am to make sure that they are fresh. I tried many things here and all of them were way above average. The canelẽs were exceptional as well. What a hidden gem. I don't live in Oslo but this would be a good excuse to move here.

The pastries are amazing! Best I've ever had outside of France and even in France he would be one of the best! Nice atmosphere and the owner is also very nice. The cafe is small but cozy. I would 100% recommend this place.

I’ve been craving for a NY roll and I found this beautiful and delicious place. French patisserie with amazing pastries. Fresh and well prepared. A must in Oslo.
