Yeah you HAVE to see this place. Wow, everything. plan a couple hours to see it all. Clothes, jewelry, hats, souvenirs, prepared food, flowers, live and gigantic sea food in swimming tubs, (look at those monster blue prawns) and even stacks of counterfeit cash from any country. Even grandma dressed like she's fifteen. Fun!

Twas a mellow crisp Sunday morning as the water shimmered with a sense of pure exasperation and dehydration, foreshadowing the untold reality about to hit my two handsome amigos and I. The boardwalk trembled with fear as the combined 500lbs of pure bred muscle gained from carrying our rucks around 25/7 hit with each step we took, ocean animals cowering in our presence. We arrived briskly having almost missed our 10am departure and quickly took to find the nearest hombre to take care of our backblings, to be told to dump them at their feet and climb aboard, narrowly missing the doorway roof in our 6’5 stature. Having informed the team that one of rucks were left further away we set sail only to find it had been left behind and sent away to another island; pure devastation, not to mention the lack of lifejackets onboard - life jacket for you, life jacket for you, life jacket soon. The proceeding 2 hours were spent in shock horror trembling in our boots (sports mode) as we watched the AirTag move at rapid pace between what might’ve been new countries. On receiving the lost ruck we were turned away any compensation for our onward journey and emotional exasperation, overall would highly recommend!

Avoid at all costs! My hotel was upset that I booked with these people as they give so many tourists a terrible experience and predicted they would transfer my booking with them to a third party. Which they did. When I arrived at the port, the ferry I had booked online didn’t exist and I was sent with a bit of hand written paper in Cambodian trying to find the other party they had transferred the crossing to. Avoid!!!

We took the Speed Ferry Cambodia because our Tuk Tuk driver brought us there from the airport, not sure if he was just helping or he has some commission from the company. We were charged $22 for a two way ticket. It was a smooth ride from Sihanouk to Koh Rong. You have to inform the office 4 hours ahead about your preferred departure time from Koh Rong if you have an open ticket. The staff I encountered in Koh Rong was a bit rude when I asked him if I could leave my luggage at their office while waiting for my 4:30 pm trip. The check out time from the hotels are unreasonably early at 9-10am :( ..

SAVE YOUR LIFES!! WORST EXPERIENCE IN THREE MONTHS IN ASIA!!!! Please search throughly with your accommodation and think twice before booking with them. We stayed in two different beaches in Koh Rong in our stay. BEFORE buying the ticket, we checked and asked more than once if the service would go to both beaches. We were told yes and they would only sell return tickets. We paid 26 dollars EACH! Ok, waited for bus to pick us up. This bus was supposed to bring us to the port in a 20 minutes drive - which took ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES - because they were "fishing"for more customers. This was on top of a 8 hours journey in a bus from PP to Sihanoukville. We were extremely worried because we were supposed to get the last ferry at 4:30 pm. The bus driver was rude and he would keep driving around the same block as we would not notice!! Finally they were able to get more customer on board and drove to a small pier (not the official one) and got there 5:15 pm. We were told to wait 10 minutes more which meant almost half hour. We finally got in the ferry at 17:45 and our journey only got worse. The boat stopped at least TWICE in the middle of nowhere because some fishing net was getting stuck to the boat motor which seems reckless driving from the pilot. One of the co-pilot had to dive with a knife in his mount to try to cut off the nets. When it happened in the second time, we were REALLY worried as it was getting dark pretty fast. When they finally got it done and we got to our final destination it was later than 7:30 pm! And we thought that our problems with this company were finished. We got in contact with them to book our return only to find out that they DON'T SERVE the beach we are now! SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! With help from our hotel desk, we called them and it was explained in local language what happened and we need to find a solution as the ferry would not come to this beach. We were told we would have to get a motor taxi (luggages???) and go to a different beach and catch the ferry there... This would mean at least TWENTY DOLLARS more!!! I explained the whole thing to the lady on the phone and her answer was: "You should have looked in our website. We don't do any reimburse. It is your fault. I'm really busy here and I can't keep talking to you." and hang up on me!!! Just like that. this is the customer service you can expect of this company.

We took Speed Ferry because it was the only ferry that went to Clear Water Bay. They told us the 11 and 3 pm ferries were cancelled and we had to catch the 9 am. The bus pick up was a very basic bus. I attached a photo of the ferry we took, which within 5 minutes of leaving the wharf was smoking black smoke. It was so bad the captain could not accelerate without it smoking like this. It was moderately smoking the whole way at a slow speed. So what was advertised to take 45 minutes, actually took 2.5 hours. We even stopped half way through to open the engine so they could try fix it. We thought this was a one-off experience but turns out from a local, the boats have been in this condition for 6 months. It's such a shame that a company operates like this putting their customers lives in danger and emitting a ton of smoke into our environment. The boat on the return from Saracen Bay was a new boat and was 45 minutes, however I would not suggest supporting a company with such little respect for the environment.

This is a bad company. Only look forward for benefit. If you want to go to Koh Rong , then you can board on the main pier. But if you wanna back to Sinhanouk. They will drop you on pier 52. Which is 10km away from the main pier. What's so clever! Once you notice you are on the wrong pier, there are lots of Tuk Tuk and taxi already wait there. All of them have speed ferry sign on it. So just arrange enough time and money. Cause they will drop you on different pier in purpose.

Has not enough times in peak season, which requires booking a day or more in advance, which is often not possible if you have a short stay. Otherwise be prepared to skip the morning and afternoon rides as they are usually fully booked well in advance. It is always late to arrive and the staff does not speak English.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help with a smile. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I could need. The location was perfect — close to the beach, yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fresh options, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the genuine care shown by the team. They truly made me feel at home. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting KPS.

I had a great stay at Queenco.The staff were nice and friendly and the food was really good I especially loved how fresh and tasty everything was. The room was clean, big, and comfortable. The night bar was a highlight for me the Filipino singers were amazing and created a great atmosphere. The hotel also has a big swimming pool, a spa (the lady who did my massage was so nice and the massage was a 10/10!), and a gym for guests who want to work out. The location is perfect too right by the ocean, which makes it really relaxing. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back.

This is my go to place. The rooms are excellent. The entire staff is always smiling and very professional very helpful. The hotel manager is great. The Poker room manager is great. The food is fantastic. The gym is the nicest I’ve ever seen in a hotel This place is the number one spot in town.

The white sand feels soft under your feet, The sunsets are breathtaking.There’s plenty of parking close to the shore, and beachside cafés serve fresh seafood and smoothies. Restrooms are clean and easy to find. Nice place recommend

The hotel were so nice from room design, cleanliness, and foods are so great. You all guys need to visit this place as my recommendation. Honestly its perfect for a couple or group of people who wants to see the beauty of south cambodia.

This casino is the easiest to get a free room in Sihanoukville. You can get a free room by buying $500 in NN Chips. The hotel staff is very hospitable and enthusiastic. Unfortunately, it is not close to the city.

I didn’t stay overnight, but I used the facilities. It’s a lovely hotel facing the beach, and at the lively pool both children and adults seemed to be having a great time. It’s not a very large-scale place, but there’s also a casino.

City is trash and should be avoided at all cost. The hostel is okay for one night. Private room was clean and ok pictures are truthful. Common room had food and dirt on the floors and tables for the three hours we spent there waiting to check in. Not a nice atmosphere and staff were helpful even though they seemed to be bothered by their guests mere existence.

The staff are SO rude. They don’t even say hello to you at check in just “show me your booking”. The bed was fairly clean but the path room wasn’t. There was also moldy walls. Also!!! Warning for female travels - I overheard a guy asking the receptionist of a girls room number and they just gave it out? I felt unsafe.

Very very bad communication with guests. 3 staff standing at reseption,non of them speaking English or anyother language. Staffs are always ready to say , no have,no, sorry. Thatz all. Khmer girls working here are very very unpolite. Asked for 3 boiled eggs and bread when a guy having bearfast near me. '' No have '' offcourse.. Will never come again.

This is not at all like other Onederz, I am surprised Onederz associating itself from this hotel. I made a mistake of booking 2 nights, I stayed only 1 and left the very next morning. The staff is TERRIBLE to say the least. All they are there is to give you key and to take it back from you. No help will be provided. I contacted my hostel in Koh Rong who helped me with information on boats and transportation, I couldn't even get that info from them. The location is in this out of nowhere Alley, nothing to do around. There are no events, nothing social. Forget about hanging out or going out at night, nothing like that exist. There is not even a decent restaurant around, and you will not want to eat If you see this location. Pool is a joke, its just a collection of water, you can really swim coz its just filthy water. Sihanoukville feels like a war zone, honestly. Unfinished buildings and trash everywhere. Nothing to do around, beaches are dirty. People will look at you weird if you walk around for a bit, doesn't feel safe. I don't know why I thought I could stay 2 nights here before coming to Koh Rong, dumbest plan ever. Just go directly to port from Phnom Penh and take a boat directly to the islands, no point staying here. And if you have to AVOID this hostel. Because I couldn't talk to anyone at reception, all they kept saying was tomorrow. I had messaged Agoda and also sent them a message asking if I can Get a refund for the unused night, they haven't still responded, it's been over 3 days. This place is a joke. It's just some local people running a homestay under onederz's name, I am Sure Onederz gonna take away its name soon. This place is a NO. Worst staff ever.

The hostel itself is great. However, I was racially abused by a white female woman in the female dorm. She is racist towards Muslim people and will make this very clear. She first made a racist remark towards a brown man and then towards me. I am not Muslim but regardless if I am or not, it's not right ! Once I confronted her, she got into my face, shouting and claiming she was on the phone to her 'sister', like that's supposed to make the situation make any sense. The irony is that I've never experienced this in the UK, but just happened to experience it in Asia, not by a local, but a Brit herself. The staff were extremely consoling and informed me they will speak to her and take care of the situation. I decided to however leave the hostel as I will not associate myself around a known racist. This happened this morning 12.12.2023. If you happen to be in the female dorm, she was on the top left bunk as soon as your enter the dorm, she appears to be in her mid 50s greyish hair and looks like an extreme Karen.

Only stayed for a night. The room was nice, clean and there was air con available. The bathrooms are clean, stocked up with toilet paper and spare toothbrushes/ paste. The food was okay. The pool is located next to the reception and has all the rooms surrounding it.

A budget hostel with clean rooms, helpful staff, and a darling cat. The dorm room had very comfortable beds with curtains and plug sockets. There is a pool in the social area, which we didn’t use due to poor weather conditions, but it looked clean. However, the city itself is severely underdeveloped. We felt unsafe as women and struggled to locate veggie options.

The place itself would be okay for the money, even though many things about are very questionable. The pool is nothing like the pictures, it's extremely dirty and the rooms right next to the reception are very noisy and despite the curtain, I felt a lack of privacy. The reason for one star is simple - bed bugs. I foolishly forgot to check and we paid the price.

Great place to meet alot of backpackers or any people. Got a large menu for a pretty fair price. The food is delicious and you can even play some pool after. Unfortunately there are no views but the sports TVs make it up. Cool place to stay when you need to.

When you find yourself coming to sihanoukville and not familiar with any of the restaurants around and where to eat, it's rather a decent place for a meal. Ate there launch, the meet of the burger didn't feel like it was fully cooked and the fries well ok sized. The mango sake may look small but tastes just superb :). 5.25$ for all Eventually a nice place to sit down and eat

Service is good and helpful. They even made special meal for our kid who complicate with food. Coconut shak is best. Bbq chicken is nice and brekfast also. We have tried lot of restorans in Sihanoukville and we can say this is one of best. And prices are also reasonable.

Superb ambience, great food at great affordable prices. 200g steak at 8 dollars, burgers at 4-6dollars only. Angkor draft 1dollar only.. the only place in Sihanoukville with a soul. Great american ambience with an international crowd. Really wish i didnt find it on my last night here. If i come back here next, it will be for these guys!

Best hostel to stay in shianokvile! Only 4$ dorms rooms are clean hot shower, beds are comfortable, good food, lively place. Pub crawl on Friday is a great fun.

Recently visited Ochheuteal Beach and had a wonderful time. The beach is beautiful with a lively atmosphere. It's a great spot for relaxation and enjoying the seaside. However, it can get quite crowded, so arriving early is recommended!

As my photos will show this is just a wonderful beach. We were on it day and night and especially at sunset this was the place to be. Lots of pizza places as well and just sitting on the beach watching the people, the water, soft waves and sunset was a highlight of our visit to this area.

One of the beautiful beach in KPS, but Otres's better. What otres didn't make me stay and enjoy because it have no public shower after we swim. Ochheuteal had them i didn't count but its probably 3 of them which meant it won't cost you any money for shower 🚿 but there's some kids around asking money after you showered, don't give them nth. but that would be good if you're kind, just leave some money in the box in-front of the shower place, or nearby to support them. hate to say cuz government support this thing. but still need labor to bring water there. yeah, sunday there's a lot of people there, probably a little quiet another day. people try to rent something for you to sit or hammock 10,000R = $2.5, others flat things like $5 for one. a bit noisy and lots of people try to sell their seafoods grill like small octopus 🐙🦑. No money 🤑 that won't do good around there but yes you can bring your own foods and drinks there and ignore their calling to buy stuffs. I don't like it but sometimes i still need to buy cuz I'm hungry 😋😅. oh one more things, help bring the trash to the nearby garbage 🗑️. the beach can watch a beautiful sunset 🌇 and mostly safe to swim, 95% safe cuz 5% there some bottle 🍾 blade people throw it in there for a very long time ago and of course there's NO Shark 🦈 lol

It is a nice place to just chill and feel the sea breeze. Lots of spot to catch the sunrise or sunset or just to watch the waves. There are also a lot of establishments to eat and drink around it.

There are many nice restaurants with fresh seafoods menu, soft drinks, beers and cocktails. You could enjoy swimming with clean sea water and white sand for all day long. And enjoy relaxing dinner with sunset in the evening.

Not a very nice beach - some parts of it are really littered. The central part was not good, southern part is more clean. Do not recommend.

This beach is perfect for swimming or just relaxing but I suggested you find a place that is near a restroom. Always wear your flip flop when using the restroom.

Nice place to relax. The wind is cool, and the sun shines warmly on you. There are hammocks that you can rent to relax on. Beautiful view and wonderful beach.

The beach is stunning, but there is some litter and food waste along the pathway. Motorcyclists using the walkway should exercise caution

I visited here on 24 - 25 Jan 2023, it has changed a lot since my last visit back in 2019. There were no more kois, on the beach and it serves the public. You may enjoy family activities here (BBQ, Sunbathing, Swimming, Jogging or Relaxed). You may bring your staff here if you preferred or you may rent from local vendors. Food is limited but there were a few options that you can order from local vendors at the beach. There were a few landmarks created (#សិលាបដ្ដបណ្ដាសា #ដើមឈើស្នេហ៍ #សិលាចាំស្នេហ៍)។ I look forward to the next BBQ and relaxed by the beach trip soon.

Sunset is nice. But the number of shacks on the beach kills it sometimes. Beach cannot remain clean due to their presence. No night life on the beach except Corner House on Orees 1

Otres Beach is decent for a quiet getaway. The sand is nice and the water is calm, but some areas could be cleaner and better maintained. Still a good spot to relax away from the crowds.

The vanilla milkshake is incredible, the only minus is the vegetarian burger. The vegetarian stuffing had big chunks of red, green and yellow pepper inside which weren’t that nice to eat and made the whole burger very underwhelming. However, I did try my partner’s cheeseburger and it was so delicious! A no go for the veggie one but I’d definitely come back for the cheeseburger.

From Australia so use to good burgers but was craving one so this looked the goods. Was pretty happy until my last bite when I bit into a piece of porcelain or something either in the patty or amongst the other stuff in the burger. Could have ruined my day/ trip if bit on it straight. Have to give a 1 star because of that big issue.

Best burgers in Cambodia. I came here with some guys from work and the food was excellent. Mike is a Cambodian National treasure and this should be on your list of places to visit while here.

The burger was huge compared to phillippens and other places here in this town in cambodia the meat was not over cooked it was tasty they deff earned my smile the coffee shop beside them made good smoothie they called a shake the fries.were a small portion and were not hand cut but they were good smokeing area out side with unbrellas the beef burger was so good i ordered a chicken burger for take away didnt need there return pollicy kuz it earned my smile righr up the street from the round about with lion walking distance

It had a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, kind of like an American diner! The burger was big and really tasty.

Do yourself a favor and stumble into this place at the end of your night. No idea what time they open or close, but they're definitely open during prime stumbling hours. Very tasty drunk food. They even have Huy Fong Sriracha sauce at your disposal. Staff are also very friendly and understanding of any speech impediments you may or may not have.

Simple, comfortable and very clean. We’ve been very well welcomed and the restaurant is proposing various dishes. Swimming pool covered by wings. Find the beach crossing the road. To visit again.

Swimming pool is not cleaned and constructions are going on around the hotel so quite dusty and noisy. Air conditioner not working. Beach is quite narrow surrounded by concrete full of plastic waste. Breakfast no included. Far from everything. A motel just for a transit to sleep.

The rooms require maintenance. The location is next to the beach, but with a noisy road that separate the hotel from the beach, with limited view of the sea. Unfortunately the area also has a smell of sewage which reaches the common area and the rooms.

I ate dinner here so I can't comment about lodging. The food, though, was amazing. Good Western style food.

If you want the only place which is a bit different from the big hotels around here, then come to sunset guesthouse and choose the bungalow. You will help to keep that place and for sure you will enjoy. Special greeting to the team here, service is perfect. Ill be back ❤️

I booked online for one night and was greeted by the owners ,a wonderful German husband and wife . The garden and swimming pool area are beautiful, the food in the restaurant was delicious, both expatriate and locals eating there which tells its own story. I booked additional nights and the well informed wonderful friendly lady helped me in booking a trip to Koh Rong and bus to Trat . Amazing value for money , do yourself a favour and stay and eat here . Many thanks Stephen

ABSOLUTLY MUST GO! In contrast with the huge sterile buildings built in the last few years in the city, this is one of the hostels left a natural and traditional beauty and simplicity. Beautiful place, couldn't expect better. Everything needed with mixed "European" and Cambodian styles and standards on hostel to the little details. Kind people at the reception. Lots of respect. Tasty food. Very fair price. Beautiful view and walk around.

Best food I've had in the month I've been in Cambodia. A little pricey, even for this area of the country which is higher than any place else I've been. Meals were $8-$13, but well worth it. Pizza was good, the chicken cordon blue was amazing. Staff was nice. No complaints besides the hummus could have been better, still very good tho.

I've come here on August 11, 2017. People say it's pricey but for me it's worth the price. Their service is great, I get free naan bread each time I ate here. And their pizza is best I've had. It use a wooden oven and their portion is big. I always order a pizza and a big bowl of pasta to eat with my friend. I also order their capuccino which is another great thing in here. Their coffee is bold but less acidity, love it! Will definitely eat at Olive & Olive again if I visit Sihanoukville.

A mediterranean resto that offers good food and nice view of the Two Lion roundabout. It's nice to hang around here esp. at night and watch the locals bond with their families just sitting around one of SHV's known landmark. Khmer people have simple pleasures. Be sure to come early coz the place easily gets crowded. The resto is popular with tourists. It has seating area outside. The owners are accommodating. They offer this thin and delicious $5 pizza which is big enough to share. Aside from this promo, the rest of the foods are pricey. While waiting for your order, you get a complimentary balloon bread with dips which is a plus.

Tried having the same plates that I used to have few years a go when the place was new; and what a huge difference in the quality of meat and the freshness of food... The only thing fresh there is the pizza, u won't be disappointed with pizza.

Very good service, huge pizza - good for two. The fish was fine, just down a start because the mash potatoes was like clue. Got some naan like bread for free as a starter. I would recommend the place!

Place Is nicely located directly at the roundabout, furniture and table cloth have seen better days but the food is excellent, i loved their tender beef with eggplant. Well worth a visit.

I got the margherita pizza for $5 USD. It was delicious and absolutely huge! Had half the pizza left over to snack on during my night bus to Battembang. It also came with complimentary pita bread with yogurt dipping sauce, spicy dipping sauce, and a few olives.

Golden Beach Restaurant offers delicious food, tantalizing the taste buds with a diverse menu. However, the slow service might test your patience. On a positive note, it provides a convenient parking spot, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Probably one of the OG and still delicious places to eat seafood in Sihanoukville. The view is amazing, the food is amazing, and there’s a lot of seating areas. My favorite is their oyster omelet. The portions are all quite large though.

It is typical Khmer Chinese seafood cooking style restaurant that I’ve known more than 15 years. Luckily they’re still open and serve fresh seafood even a lot of Chinese surround. Some idea for their improvements. It would be good if they have people to stand and salute all the customers well rather we try to find seats ourselves and it should have been division between smoke and non-smoking area so they can bring up more hygiene and friendly atmosphere. They can add some bbq menu e.g grilled shrimp or seafood so we can enjoy less fried food.

The fish smell not good, we request to change , but they ignore and said that it is the test of restaurant

I must admit that the taste of food is very delicious. Baked Shrimp with vermicelli and chili crab is my recommendation. Very tasty, but the service is a bit slow. The price is higher than other restaurants, but acceptable in the quality of food received.

Fresh seafoods with reasonable price . Services is goods and right in front of the beach. Perfect environmental. Negative point of this place , some of the fishes are no prices and you should asked the price before ordering. I have ordered a fish which I thought it might similar price to other but it was not, the price is $50 per fish and very expensive and the tasks not really that nice. That’s all about the place and the rests are best.

Don't come here. The whole national park has been taken over by a Chinese development company and it feels like walking/driving around a cheap theme park. Already at the front desk you're greeted with a big neon sign pushing foreigners to buy houses in the national park. The prestine jungle/nature everyone's taking about is nowhere to be found anymore. There's a part of the mangrove still accessible (ca 15 min boat ride, but nothing more). This place isn't worth the name "national park".

Great experiences after we boarded a boat trip in Ream through mangrove channels and forest with a bit of swimming in Koh Som Poch Beach with lunch and then saw a few lovely dolphins near Koh Thmei Island.

It was great! Make sure to come here before noon, it will be deserted and amazing but then around 11 the tourists buses came in. Take the western tourist line to go to the bridge to the Island. There's lots to explore here.

We explored this park by bike and it was just awesome. Lingam peak is defenetly worth to visit, bring some food with you, it is cool place to have picnic.

Not worth the (way too expensive) Tuktuk trip (we paid 25 dollars to get from Otres Beach to the park). When we arrived tours and boat trips appeared to be way more expensive than mentioned in the travel guide. Boat trip was a bit a disappointment, we only saw some birds and didn’t really went into the “jungle”. The guide was nice and told us a lot about the Cambodian culture but it was definitely not worth 65 dollars (Tuktuk and boat fee)!

Worth seeing if you're going to be in Sihanoukville. I believe the monkeys here are long tail macaques. Probably the most exciting part for me was watching them play. It's a really pretty spot and I spent about hour to walk the grounds

Nothing special. Nice looking pagoda. Direct entry is forbidden. Surrounding area is full of waste and debris. Kids running up to you immediately and after you, begging. Some monks around and some monkeys on all houses. Many dogs barking at you entering the area. Pass app is also working up there and drivers come picking you up.

Nice and quiet place to relax.. I go there many times with my son as he like to play with the monkeys.. You can enjoy fresh breeze and fresh air .. that really missing now downtown in Sihanoukville...there is nothing special to visit but the place is clean and have a good view point of all the town!!!

A place should be visited and spent time for practice anapana or vipassana by thyself 😊

Certainly fantastic to make a trip on one of the boot's ⛵ unfortunately pay attention they are a bit unstable due to it's barely possible to make a ride without getting sick 🤢. Anyhow many friendly people who are more than willing to help you on the beach 🏖️. It's a great experience to swim in the water. Don't forget the sunblok 🌞 Enjoy the ride.

It looks good, but when you’re there you will see the enormous amount of trash, particularly around the area near the bridge. Workers and fishermen seem to dispose of their trash there, it’s all over the ground. Pretty sad to see. Some trash in the water also, but the main thing that made me not swim there was the 2 sewers leaking directly into the sea. Dark smelly water that is. Would recommend for relaxing at the beach but not for swimming. And please people, pick up after yourselves.

This island is truly a paradise on earth. - I love its crystal clear water, snow-white sand and tranquil atmosphere. There is no trashes on Saracen Beach. During the day I did snorkeling and fishing and sunset The bioluminescence plankton was amazing.But you have to jump into the sea in the dark to see it; believe me it’s worth it. - There are party beaches and quiet beaches so choose wisely based on your preference. - I stayed at La Passion Achariyak Resort. The hotel is very accommodating and offers exceptional services. The staffs are super friendly. It has a nice swimming pool and the beach is super clean and peaceful.

Koh Rong Sanloem is a tropical paradise that still retains much of its natural charm. The island is home to several boutique and luxury resorts, especially around Saracen Bay and Sunset Beach, making it a great place to unwind away from the crowds. Getting here, however, is a bit of a journey. First, you’ll need to reach Sihanoukville, which itself is not easily accessible from Phnom Penh due to limited and often delayed bus services. Once in Sihanoukville, a ferry ride (usually 45 mins to 1 hour) will take you to the island. It’s worth noting that weather conditions can sometimes delay or cancel ferries, so flexibility is key. There are no ATMs on the island, so carrying sufficient cash is a must. Also, internet and mobile signals can be patchy. While much of the island is still serene, parts of Koh Rong Sanloem—like its sister island, Koh Rong—are undergoing rapid development, largely driven by Chinese investments. This could potentially impact the untouched feel in the near future, so it’s best to visit sooner rather than later. Despite the travel hassle, the island’s beauty, clear waters, and magical sunsets more than make up for it.

This is an honest, non-romantic review (I struggled to find objective and updated info before visiting the island). DO NOT GO. The pretty pictures you see from this island are at least 4 years old, or point to the see in a bright day, hidding all the rubbish and rubble in the shore. I have traveled for years around Asia and know well that some rubbish is to be expected in most beaches, but this is a whole new level. There are mountains or trash everyhwere, incredibly dirty abandoned buildings (not in a cool urbex way), half the island has been abandoned and trashed while the other half is under construction. They have bulldozed BIG part of the jungle to allow tractors to carry turists between beaches, but for some reason these new "paths" are so unnecessarily wide that you could land a small plane there. Also they're so poorly made that it's exhausting to walk in them, it's very irregular and steep, and with zero shade. So you won't see many animals, cause they've either been killed or displaced. The whole place lacks charm. The island is also SO overpriced. In Sarracen beach is hard to find a meal for less than 5$ (this is Cambodia, that's 4 times the price of a simple meal elsewhere). The water seemed somewhat dirty, kinda greenish (or even brown!) where it should be blueish. It's impossible to put your towel anywhere more than 1m away from garbage, it's like the ocean brings in all the waste from nearby cities. I did feel like I arrived 5 years too late the island has been severly ruined. An expat who has lived in the island for a decade mentioned that the Chinese investors abandoned their projects there and moved their businesses to Koh Rong. Koh Rong is indeed way cleaner and more interesting. The jungle remains jungly, the water is blue, there are many beaches to choose from, -some nicely secluded-, and there are more food options a bit cheaper than in Koh Rong Sanloem. In my opinion, this island is a total waste of time and money. The neighbor Koh Rong is way cleaner and more interesting with clearer water and many beaches to choose from, some all to yourself. Also the neighboring islands in Thailand are way nicer and cheaper (Koh Kood, Koh Mak -but perhaps avoid Koh Chang, which has become way too touristy and waters don't seem clean in 2024). If you're really curious about the place, base yourself in Koh Rong, and go to Koh Rong Sanloem as a day trip. You'll save some money, and will spare yourself the sadness of witnessing how a wonderful place has been unreversibly destroyed.

The island is undeniably beautiful, however, it falls short of being the paradise it's often described as. I arrived with great expectations, only to be slightly disappointed. While the white sand beaches are stunning, there is a significant downside: constant construction noise, unfinished projects, and plastic waste. Additionally, if you rely on internet access for work purposes, you may struggle to find a reliable connection.

Beautiful island bad managed. Have you ever answer to anyone where are the sewer discharges on the dozen resort on Saracen Beach? I realized they are just under the beach. This is the reason why I felt bad smell all along the beach. The trail for Sunset Beach it's NOT 20 min as they say... We reached this beach in 50 min fighting with tons of mosquitoes and mud. The waterfall at the end of the beach it's interesting. We was at Sara Resort for 4 nights. This resort is one of the most expensive in the island principally for the prices of the restaurant. We eated in many other places. One we appreciated was the local fried sweet potato at The Big Easy, we tried also fish BBQ on the beach. This is the first time that I don't know if recommend this place...

Loved this secluded island. We stayed at Island Centre Point accommodation which was a beautiful luxury. The beaches have restaurants, shop, laundry service, etc dotted along the way.

Giving this beach 1 star on purpose because it's literally perfect as it is right now. Probably will get ruined/overcrowded sooner or later like most of the other beaches in Sihanoukville. Some locals literally parked their motorcycles right on the sand.. that wouldn't be possible at most beaches here anymore.

A nice beach that hasn’t been impacted by the development of the city! The water is very nice and calm for a swim, and the sand is great! There are local food stalls with affordable options! Also a shower/bathroom along the beach street. Would definitely come here again for an afternoon leisure!

For very first time we were been there & positively surprised to see this white sand beach! Really beautiful & could be one of the finest beach in Sihanoukville!! Though not yet been commercialised & no nearby restaurants, but you can easily spend 2-3 hours with loved ones.

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a truly beautiful place that I believe everyone should experience. If you're looking for a peaceful escape to unwind and connect with loved ones or friends, this spot offers a gentle reminder of nature's incredible beauty. Imagine yourself immersed in the soothing sights of the waterfall area, taking in its breathtaking scenery and feeling your stress melt away.

The attraction site itself has developed quite well. But the entrance to the site from the national road is still in bad condition, especially in rainy seasons. There are holes and also quite slippery. Sedan might be a bit difficult to access, but still accessible.

Easy to get to located on the Prek Tuk Sap River great scenery and a good place to swim and have a picnic if you so desire. Nice way to spend a bit of time out of Sihanoukville. We went on the river as well and visited a couple of fishing villages so all-inclusive thing with the falls it was a good day.

It's free, but you technically need to pay 500 Riel ( 0.12$) for crossing the bridge to the waterfalls. I'd say it's worth it. I went there on 3rd February 2024. There was still some water. It's a chill place to relax in nature. There are some food stores there.

The good place to join picnics with family. Otherwise we can have small swim at the fresh and clean waterfall from the highest mountain in Sihanoukville. Highly recommend to relax with family during holiday.

I Recommended . The water are cleaned But on the way to the Kbal Chhay waterfall the red dirt road is kinda hard to go in cuz you’ll be shaking like an earthquake. The waterfall are really nice and fresh , if you wanted to go on a family trip or relax , enjoying your vacation I recommended this place

Best natural waterfalls in Sihanoukville. First, they had this resrvoir nearby, which made the hourney here amazing fron the beautiful sceneries. Even though at that time, it's still unfinished. Then you arrive at the red sanded parking spot, walk a bit, cross the mini bridge then voila! The waterfalls and it's river! They also had these small huts to take rest or had lunch. All of them were locals btw, but don't worry, they won't bite :) everyone just busy with their own thing. Enjoy the water from the falls, or walk a bit deeper to the smaller river. The water just cristal clear and shallow, perfect to take a dip. Refreshing after walking under the sun. Just be careful coz the river bed is a bit rocky and slippery.

Had a very pleasant meal at The Corner Bar. Hope there are more places like this around! A well cooked meal, large portion, very tastey Porc Chop with chips and salad.... for $6!!!

Walkin in and there were no staff to greet me, offer a table and a menu. Waited and nothing happened. Walked into the kitchen to ask for a waiter and was told to wait. No, thanks. I ll go to some other place

Had a huge beef filet steak for $7,-. It came medium just like ordered - great, soft as well but not a single indicator that it has been fried. So no aroma from roasting, wich it would have made just perfect. I will try it again 😁 - this place needs a second chance

I cannot recommend this place high enough - I ate here for every meal for 3 days!! The chickpea wrap was the crowd favourite and I also had the chicken noodles, cheese omelette and chicken wrap (all were 10/10). All the ingredients are fresh and handmade, including the wraps which are cooked to order and the hummus made in front of us!! Don’t eat anywhere else on the island. The owner is also a legend!

Dennis and the team make some of the best Turkish food I have ever had. The fresh bread and hummus are extraordinary and he even opened early for us to make sure we had something to eat before we went diving . We ate here 3 times in 2 days and it would easily have been more if we didn't have to leave the island ! Simply delicious!

Worst service and disgustingly dirty place. Made to feel very unwelcome by the owner. Pizza average to bad at best. Owner couldn’t be bothered to cook our fries so we can’t comment on them. Popular with backpackers who clearly have more money than sense, as it isn’t that cheap.

WOW!!! My friends and I all agreed it is some of the best food on our travels and absolute best in Cambodia. The owner is very kind, accommodating, and skilled cook! The kebabs were so flavorful, and I had some of the best hummus I’ve ever had. My friend has tried several turkish restaurants in London (even some known of be the best), and said this place tops all of those!!!

I was on the island for four days, went here four times. The wraps are very good, I had the Sabih 3 times and it was phenomenal each time. They provide a tray of seasoning, chili oil, and olive oil for you to use to your own taste which I used liberally. Great staff, great owner, and very solid food all at a good price. Would recommend

I've been to this restaurant every single day while I was at the island and I totally recommend it. The fresh wrap bread is beyond this world, its an ethereal delicacy that will gently hug your food into a sumptuous oneness. No need to worry about spice levels here because they serve you a separate plate of spice mixes for you to decide what and how much you need in. If you are vegan or vegetarian By The Sea is no doubt your best choice in the island, but they also cater for meat lovers. In fact they have all sorts of options, the menu is quite comprehensive, not to mention prices are good too. The quantities are large, I wasnt able to finish some of my meals. Oh and also the beer is super cold, served in a frozen glass. Chips? Real potatos only, not frozen shenanigans. Ambience is relaxed, solid wooden tables where you can touch the beach sand with your feet and feel the sea breeze kissing your skin.

Not a hotel, but an amazing place to eat. Everything is homemade and freshly made. Have the best pizza you will enjoy in Cambodia. Or try the delicious and authentic freshly baked flatbread with falafel and hummus. The pide (Turkish pizza) also looked good. The fruit shakes were also fresh and tasted great.

This was my first time on an island like this, and I was completely blown away. I don't know if you've seen the White Lotus Resort, it's exactly the same. The beach, the fit young people, the enthusiastic service staff, the various water sports, and the beautiful sunset made me feel that it was unreal. It's definitely worth a visit.

Been there 3 times, this time is solo trip to explore around. My trip was from 1-4 November 2025. For boat (round trip) - 25 USD. For motorbike daily rental - 10 USD (1.25$ per litter, cheapest way of transport). For staying is from 10$ for nights. Sunset view point is at Long Beach or Sok San Beach. Travel time is mostly for dry season, not much rain. Raining season is not recommend due to heavy rain. There is only one Pagoda (2025) on the island. Bring your own carpet, so you can just enjoy the sea. Internet is not stable there but wifi at cafe or hotel are great. I will go back again for sure, never get tired of Koh Rong island.

Koh Rang island has some beautiful beaches and is not, I repeat, not really developed. So if you’re looking a high end restaurants and facilities - they are few and far between. But if you enjoy rustic older world charm - you will likely enjoy a few days there. One day I rented a scooter and explored the island (be very careful of wet red earth - is extreme slippery) and another day walked miles along the shores through a couple different beaches. In busy areas on I can see the place filled with younger backpackers, as there are a multitude of “hut” type accommodations - with and without AC. I need AC 😃! I always found some delicious food (I was in Koah Touch)- from great pizza for $7 to a Ribeye steak and fries for $15 ( with free drink). From Phnon Penh - a simple bus ride (paid $14.5 for executive bus with Vireak Runtharm Express) to Sihanoukville - a tuk-tuk to the Tourist port and walk into an Express Boat office. Boats leave every hour or so. Cost is around $25 return per person. You have to tell them you hotel so they drop you at the pier of the correct beach. From there you can often just walk to your hotel (or TukTuk are around).

The sea is very clear and beautiful. A great place to explore. Sea exploration services, such as diving to see coral, watching the sunset,... are affordable. Food is not rich. In the morning, there are very few people selling food. Hotel and motel prices are expensive, not commensurate with the money you spend. Suitable for young people who like to explore and adventure, not suitable for the elderly.

It’s like a true resort 🏝️ You have to come! A dreamy island like this really exists here.

Amazing secluded and empty beach all to yourself. Crisp white sand is a true paradise. We managed to find access through an old hotel. Pure paradise and has to be seen to believe how breathtaking it is

Enjoy the clear blue sea water. The sunset view is amazing. Not much of a developed beach which makes it quite location as compared to others. Better to hire a motorbike for visiting the beach aand the restof island.

Beautiful beach than runs along the main area of Koh Rong. Can swim anywhere along it and there’s a could jetty’s you can run and jump off! Water is warm (obviously) and pretty clear. Nice place to relax on a hot day!

As said before: one of the most beautiful beaches ever, white sand, clear water. Just perfect ... BUT: to reach it you have almost to climb over something that looks like one big garbage dump (called "resort" though). The people living here simple seem not to care about garbage. Everything is just thrown away, whenever they stand. And once in nature, no one will ever clean it. But it doesn't matter for very much longer, as the planned international airport will have its entry path exactly over the beach. From bad to worse. So 5 stars for the beach itself only.

The sand is white. Water is so clear. It is nice to just swim and be a kid there. There is also a wide variety of places to stay there that you can choose from.

Really nice place, laid-back with a village feel. Lots of nice places to eat and drink. Long beach / plankton beach 10 minutes walk away, gorgeous beach and pretty empty. At night can see luminescent plankton, just need to go in waist deep water and splash around a bit. Even better with a snorkel, don't forget a torch for the walk. Maybe not as good when there is a full moon, I wouldn't know. Can get taxi boats for 5 USD each way to other beaches (Saracens was even more beautiful, Lazy Beach about the same as Mpai; didn't go to Sunset beach but heard it was the best). Few things to know: - Very hot and humid in February, was in a hostel with AC and missed it. - Go there before it changes... I reckon with 15 years it will be overdeveloped and no longer have the same charm. - No ATM on the island, some businesses do 'cashback' (i.e. you pay by card and they give you cash) for a 5 to 7% fee. - Most of the rest of the island is only accessible by taxi boat, there aren't any paths. - Accommodation can fill up, best not to wait till last minute before booking. - Many ferries from Sihanoukville only stop at Saracens and not M'Pai Bay, lake sure when booking the ferry ticket you will arrive in right place! Especially if taking last ferry, you might not even have the option of a taxi boat if you arrive at Saracens in the evening.

M’Pai Bay is a special place where you can enjoy great food, dive in crystal-clear water and be part of local celebrations throughout the year. Every 23rd of the month, the village gathers for the Community Fest, a joyful mix of music, food, art and good vibes. A true island gem, full of life and smiles

When you love trash, sewers on the beach, the smell of burnt plastics wherever you are, and the noises of construction sites, this place is for you!

Beautiful place!! Not a lot to do so if you want to just relax it's perfect! Food is very good and fresh too!

I recently visited M'pai Bay village on the island and it was a wonderful experience. Although the village is small, the happiness of the people in the area and their warm hospitality made my stay memorable. The villagers were extremely helpful and friendly, which added to the charm of the place. There are only a few accommodations available for guests, but the atmosphere and surroundings more than make up for it. The village is located with the sea on one side and surrounded by nature which provides a calming and soothing environment, perfect for an escape from city life. The cool sea breeze adds to the tranquility of the area.

Amazing holiday destination for anyone who likes a relaxing atmosphere and be a part of an amazing community. Everyone is super friendly and it is good to see that locals and expats work closely together. The beach is really nice and beautiful sunsets. The food is really good and soon more businesses open for more food/drink options. There is plenty to do, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking/paddleboard, have a swim in the refreshing rock pools or a hike to Clearwater Bay. Or just relaxing on the beach.

M'pai Bay is so different to all the other villages in the islands! It has great beaches, a great community of locals and expats, cafes, restaurants and trekking options too. There are boat trips you can do, snorkels and kayaks for rent and delicious food options. There's a different restaurant or bar open every night so they can share the love around the village. The local kids are the cutest, there's always a smile or a high five when you're walking around. This village now has only 1 scheduled power cut for only 2 hours in the daytime which is better than a lot of other places in the islands. If you're looking for a real Cambodian island experience where you get to be a part of this awesome little community for a few days or more then M'pai Bay is the place to go!

I did a boat tour with 2 dives and it was awesome! The instructor was a very nice person and extremely qualified, the diving spots were gorgeous and we saw so many fish and beautiful corals. The organisation was perfect, they take care of the lunch (which was exquisite!) and can pick you up. 100% recommend!

I highly recommend this diving Centre. I did my open water diving training here for 3 days and it was a phenomenal experience. They take you to beautiful beaches and the lunch included is delicious. My trainer, Selter, was magnificent a real professional, he had a lot of patience and made me feel secure every step of the way. I’m super happy I picked this place to get my open water diver license.

Did the first star diving license with this scuba center , had a great experience with instructor making sure each and every student understand the tasks and keep an eye that everyone safe and sound. Very recommended

Had an amazing time getting by my PADI open water certification with Annabelle! Annabelle is a very encouraging teacher with a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm. It was a great experience! 10/10 would dive again.

My husband and I had a great time doing 2 introductory dives. Mariana was a fantastic instructor, teaching us all the basics we needed to know and kept us both feeling safe and relaxed throughout the dives! We saw lots of amazing fish and coral, overall a great experience - highly recommend!

Had a great experience with Scuba Nation! The team was very professional and everything was well organized. They even arranged pickup and drop-off from my resort on the other side of the island. The dive guide, Mariana, was super nice and made the trip really enjoyable

A friendly laid-back atmosphere and some very nice scenery (the water all around is idyllic). Regular live music and some nice food & drink stalls. Only real issue is that it’s quite a bit away from Serendipity and so is a bit of a pain to get to unless you’re staying at Otres itself. Worth a visit though I’d say.

Really nice gathering of people from all over the world. This place and around really shows what people from around can do if there possibilities. Come here for the live music and drinks. Get a good taste of the vibe. There are some shops run by westerners, but I wouldn't call it a market. Same with the food.

A must visit. Locals and expat atmosphere, some really great food stalls including a Portuguese burger and Cambodian Scotch eggs. Music late into the night. But tricky to find so ask people once your off the beach. Def.Def.Def.go.if your there on weekend.

Not a traditional Night market. More a hippy hangout with food and music. Opens at 4pm. However at 5:30pm very little is open and several vendors not even here to set up their food stalls. Eat and drink elsewhere and then come here later for the music.

This is the place you want to be on a Saturday night in Otres! Rocking live music. Great new bands/acts each week. Amazing food from BBQ to Indian to Mexican, and even vegan. It would take at least half a year before you might even think about becoming bored with the food options. Numerous clothing and jewelry stalls to peruse while listening to the amazing music. DJ'd music late into the night after 1am. No lack of alcohol to keep you fueled late into the night. Easy transportation into and out of the place with tuk tuk & drivers. The only thing wrong with the place is that it isn't open every day.

The Saturday night special. Packed with food venders in stalls and trinket peddlers at tables, there is almost always live music at this venue. This sprawling venue is only open on the weekend. Bring your thirst and appetite on Saturday. My advice is to sample a little bit of everything at the various food vestibules.

There is good and bad here. Great is the cover and vibe and the true community feel. Good is the selection of vendors with the premier vendors in Otres participating. Not so good: the rates vendors pay for rent makes most charge well above KH prices. The worst: a vendor claiming to be selling handmade jewelry while any traveller has seen the designs mass produced in India. Let's just be honest. Let's just be real.

The place is nice with a great atmosphere. Food is good but they could improve some details. Pancakes are delicious with a big portion but the one with raspberry coulis is too sweet. There was too much coulis on it. Bagels were very good but too small portion if you compare them with pancakes. Smoothie bowl was good but not the best we ate, again the raspberry coulis is too sweet for the dish and there were too many dry raisins in the muesli. Drinks were refreshing and very tasty.

The Berry Banana smoothie has to be the best smoothie I have ever had. The bagels here are incredible. The vibes are immaculate. The cafe is tucked away down an unsuspecting alley and feels very cozy. Some of the best western food I have had while travelling.

Seapony is hands down our favorite café! The food is fresh, tasty, and beautifully made—healthy breakfasts, delicious bagels, and the best coffee and tea. But what truly makes this place special is the incredible service. Matt and Ainslie are so friendly, welcoming, and hardworking, making every visit a joy. What a lovely gem in Koh Rong Sanloem! I came here every day during my stay on the island. The food is delicious, flavourful, good portions, and reasonable prices. Vegetarian and vegan options as well as some gf options. Make sure to try their burritos and the banana bread, absolutely devine! The place is run by a lovely couple. every time I told him I dont like something in the dish, he offered something else instead. A good, soothing atmosphere. Make sure to come before 14:00 (and not 15:00 as written on Google maps).

Tucked away little gem of a restaurant we found just behind the beach village road. Really delicious western menu here great for breakfast /brunch. Fresh homemade bagels and bread. The bagels are small but delicious (had the hollandiase bagel with bacon) Wonderful tropical fruit salad . Went back again for the poached eggs with pesto and homemade toast which came with delicious kampot pepper and lime. Prices in line with other western cuisine in the village . Very good cold brew and iced coffee, used with local beans with chocolatey notes $2.

If you’re considering a stay at this hotel, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. From the moment you step in, it’s clear that maintenance is not a priority. The lobby smells musty, and the furniture looks like it was picked up from a thrift store—years ago. Rooms are cramped, with peeling paint, questionable stains, and barely functioning amenities. The bed linens are thin and scratchy, while the bathrooms have mold creeping up the walls and unreliable hot water. Staff seem uninterested in helping and almost annoyed to have guests at all. As for the “complimentary breakfast,” let’s just say stale bread and watered-down coffee don’t exactly start the day off right. This place might be cheap, but trust me, it’s not worth even that. One star only because zero isn’t an option.

Disgusting hotel! The rooms are dirty, there are cockroaches and even mice, there was a dead mouse in our room when we checked in! The sewage stinks, there is dust everywhere. Perhaps only the pool is good, but considering the unhygienic conditions in the rooms, we did not risk swimming in it. I will never go here again and I do not recommend it to anyone Have you forgotten me already? and the dead mouse in my room? and the snake in my friends' room? You should be ashamed - you need to correct your mistakes, not argue with your guests. I'll tell everyone about your disgusting service

Been there last night when the ‘new restaurant manager’ just arrived. She doesn’t speak much English, the ‘restaurant’ had no printed (menu) pricelists yet… too many and unset tables, no music, … no lights/candles. We had a few beers… the bill arrived for a stunning amount of 3,5 usd for a small beer… ( nextdoor you pay 1,5 usd), what a hoax… I guess it won’t take long before this manager flies back to Kazachstan.

My two sons and I came here for a short getaway from the city and had a delightful time. The manager was very kind and friendly. The pool is beautiful and peaceful (but the water was a little warm), and the beach was very convenient. The room was very nice with comfortable beds. The breakfast was very nice with a small buffet and made to order choices with nice presentation. We enjoyed it and hope to come back with our whole family of 6.

Great hotel, my highest recommendation. Lovely European breakfast and clean great restaurant. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, excellent pressure of hot water. Stayed here over the weekend, my kids were delighted with the pool on site. The staff is very helpful. They solved our question if transportation to the airport and gave recommendations what to visit in Sihanoukville. Next time I will definitely stay here, as I really liked the level of service.

Great hotel, good ambience. The staff was very nice all the time. I will definitely recommend it as the best hotel in the area. The breakfast was good but very limited I will just add some more options to the buffet. The rooms were very clean and tidy, our room was on the first floor so we had some insects during the night but if you keep your door closed you won't have any problem. I love the dinner next to the beach experience.

Nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The beach section is very welcoming. Sadly the main road now separates the hotel from the beach. The water is clear and the beach is clean (relatively speaking.) The staff is friendly and help out any time needed. Good location. Overall good stay for a weekend in Sihanoukville !

Port is well organized, just keep attention of received information about departure. I have booked a ferry and got the fake info about departure from different port, then was unnecessarily charged for ridiculously high price of tuktuk driver waiting for tourists like me. Remember, or check informations directly with ferry company, that this port is the only right one. No other.

Sihanoukville port is a crowded seaport with modern infrastructure to meet the needs of transporting goods at home and abroad. Create lots of jobs for local people. Friendly employee. However, this place is a bit polluted.

This review is not just for the port but for Sihanoukville as a whole, this place was once a nice seaside town but has not turned into a Chinese casino takeover, with them building hundreds of massive casino hotels absolutely everywhere, I would avoid this place like the plague, rubbish everywhere, really doesn't feel safe here and its just a construction nightmare, the Chinese are destroying this once beautiful place

Interesting, ornate Buddhist temple complex, visited by monkeys and you can sit with a monk in prayer for a modest indulgence. 45 minutes takes in the sites.

This place is amazing with the many Buddist shrines. They are in very good repair. There are not at all run down like at some sites. You also have a good chance of seeing the monks. We were told that around 300 monks work, Study and pray here. When we went there was a small snack and juice stand. They do have primitive toilets.

This is the pagoda where many residents of Sihanoukville practice Buddhism. Here you may see monks chanting and young monks learning Pali languages.

One of the best Buddha Temple that you shouldn't miss when you visit Sihanoukville. We visit a couple of times per year and on these special occasions, we come for Pchum Ben, Ben4. We feel extremely good after we visit with our family.

Something about this Pagoda was one of my favorites. Probably because my guide used to be a monk there. Work was being done to maintain and improve.

This is a nice mostly peaceful beach. The scenery is stunning. The water and beach was clean and trash free They are a lot of nearby food vendors and restaurants along the beach offering food and drink. We were here as tourists. As such, we did attract a few panhandlers. They were not aggressive.

We bought our food in the local food market. It was cooked directly in the market. Then, we had our lunch on the beach where we rented a table and a few chairs. The independance beach is perfect for lunch/diner and for swimming in the sea as well. The sand was nice, white and smooth and there were few people. Great place for family hangout’s. But, if you want nobody near the beach, for instance if you want more privacy for couples, it’s better to go to a beach dedicated to swimming.

We came to Yasmine Restaurant to have some appetizers and drink while we waited a few hours for our bus. The restaurant has excellent staff, smiling, attentive, and nice. There is a very good ambiance. You walk-in and automatically feel chill. You can sit inside or outside (even when it rains). Beers are cold. They take credit card. We ordered the calamari & fried shrimp. It was $12. The taste was good but portion size for price could have been better. It is a good place to chill and people watch. We did enjoy ourselves.

Went with a group of 4 and 3 of us got Food Poisoning. The Staff was however nice and so was the Atmosphere. The food was also very delicious but the meat was old and poisonous. Spent few days vomiting…

Food is great with a lot of options. A bit on the moderate to high price range. Good to sit and chill with friends here. You may opt to sit outside, their ground floor or their second floor. It is generally clean, including the toilet. Best part of it is you can see the ocean while you are eating.

A phenomenal traditional venue that supports local young people. We had a very pleasant time there. The dishes were served quickly and the portions were large. The best seabass we ate in Cambodia! We were given a refill of water all the time. In addition, when I forgot my backpack they did what they could so that I get it back 🙏Highly recommended!

What an amazing place with great food. We had lunch here everyday for a week and I highly recommend stopping by for a meal if you ever find yourself in Sihanoukville. It’s a training restaurant with local youths learning to prepare food, cook and provide service. They do a great job with it and lots of them find jobs with other restaurants and hotels after graduating from the programme.

I don't really understand why this place is that well rated. It is true that the service is very nice, the staff comes to serve you the drinks which is very unusual. We tried one pizza and the seafood amok. The 8.8$ pizza was frozen and small size and the 11$ amok was filled with too much seaweed. Very disappointed !

Clearly worth the potential detour - this would seem to be a relatively new location since the previous restaurant would presumably have been closed post COVID. Tried the clams and buffalo and would taste both excellent! Even the regular portion is generous enough for sharing. Presumably the full menu would reach similar high standards in my book this would clearly qualify as ”fine dining” on a very moderate budget! When you feel that you’ve had a great deal on dining the social context of this establishment could easily be the benefactor of your tourist shopping needs as they offer locally produced items at reasonable prices!

Lovely dining experience, food was excellent, staff were friendly and professional and the atmosphere was like eating in a beautiful garden. It is hot now, but the fans and the shade made it pleasant. We really enjoyed the unique flavors and appreciated supporting an organization that works to help children in Cambodia

Excellent service from students learning the craft. The food was delicious. Sure it's a little pricey, but think about who you're helping here. Went back for a second visit, same excellent service but the chicken stir fry with spicy basil was a miss. It lacked any heat, was dry and tasteless. I ended up sharing the shrimp-pork and eggplant bites. The spicy cilantro margarita on the other hand was a hit. Go early, before sunset, before the rat comes out, kinda ruined the experience.

It was the best of views. It was the worst of views. This beach encapsulates the quandary of Sihanoukville. The beach is clean and beautiful and faces out on a glorious sea scene. Swimming is at your own risk and the beach is generally uncrowded and the sand is great. While "the best bay of the world" sign may be a bit overblown, it is undeniably a great beach and a lovely bay. If you turn around, you are confronted by Sihanoukville, an ugly city of Chinese skyscrapers, many permanently unfinished. All along the beach, there are outlandishly expensive restaurants, all Chinese, and frequently unfriendly towards Khmer customers (or anyone who does not speak Chinese). I lived in China for 6 years and there is a lot about China to love as well as to hate. Sihanoukville is like a distillation of the less favorable parts of China. Or put differently, it is a part of Cambodia minus the Khmer charm and friendliness. And yet the beach is great..... Pro Tip The only place to get somewhat reasonably priced food is in a food court on a side street off the main beach. They had some nice Turkish food there at relatively good prices.

Really dirty. The beach was full of plastic and other items of rubbish. We walked the full length of this beach which had some beach shacks offering a very authentic atmosphere if you stayed to relax. The beach feels neglected and the surrounding area is run down.

One of the best places for sweets and snacks in Shanoukville, everything is fresh, no GMF and organic, we got the cookie, the brownie and the mediterranean sandwich we loved it!!! Totally recommend

Amazing place, very calm like an oasis in the busy center. The food is delicious as well and you are doing something good by supporting them.

The rice bread and plain yoghurt there are excellent. The pastry products were less amazing. The only chocolate chip cookie, I had there, tasted like it was on the shelf for a few days. It wasn't really fresh. The brownies were better, but not really good. The rest of the food was usually of good quality. The service is friendly and attentive. The time, until food was served, usually was a bit too slow. (I was there several times.)

A nice and shady reprieve from the noise of the city. Breakfast is decent, coffee too. Did not try the pastry but they looked scrumptuous. The shop has some interesting things to buy as souvenirs; tourists may find the prices at the shop a little higher than expected but it goes to a good cause and there are a variety of knock knacks to choose from so you don't have to necessarily fork out so much to contribute.

I've played the $2/5 holdem game here quite a bit and it's generally pretty good. There are generally a lot of Chinese players driving the action and free food is provided. Only thing to note is that players are allowed to smoke at table.

If you can fall asleep in a nightclub this place is for you! If you forget the noise you will have to deal with cockroaches, dirty linens and no sink. It is however cheap, good location and the staff are lovely.

Cheap, has easy access to the shore. If you’re not picky the room is fine. -1 star there are cockroaches in the room. -1 star the floor and things are dusty since i arrive.

I had the cheapest room, and it didn't have a washbasin. Excellent hot water shower though. The staff are very friendly and try hard to help, but they speak ZERO English. They get you checked in equipped with WiFi code, but travel information is impossible to understand. Very nice restaurant out front.

I pay more for book a room "with window" for have a good fresh air but directly front the window is a another abandoned room of homeless people who drink and speak very strong until 5am during my 2 night there. Impossible to open the window. And my room was so dirty same as the rest of hotel like the alley look like is abandoned place. I book more of 30 budget hotels around all asia per years but i was never see that.

Great atmosphere. It was pleasant to start my morning off with a good coffee and the salty sea air blowing right up the hill where I sat outside. Calming. Serene. Clean. I’d recommended this place because of how attentive the service is also.

It is okay for the price you pay, expecting much more wouldn't be normal. Breakfast was freshly prepared and good(different varieties of egg preparation to choose from) and the coffee I would call a highlight. Sadly that Sihanoukville is still just a huge construction side with a tremendous influence of the Chinese. The beach closest to the Guesthouse is getting better and better, a few locals go there to swim and enjoy.

The resto has a classy feel on it! Located a few meters from the beach. Most food items in their menu are pricey though. I liked the chicken with peanut sauce and the ice cream. Ham and pineapple pizza was sour maybe because the cook used fresh pineapple slices on them which i didn't like. Also, one waiter that attended to us was very impolite! We have ordered 2 ice cream and fried chocolate cake for dessert which they delivered immediately on our table. Of course, i had to politely asked him to serve them later because desserts were supposed to be eaten after the main meal, right! But this waiter had that big smirk on his face, unwilling but obliged to do as he was told! For me, that's a no.. no! 👎👎👎 He should be taught the basics of being a food server.
