The crowd was chanting “AC! AC!” I saw atleast 3 people pass out and have to be carried out. Everyone was dripping sweat and irritated. They make you sign a waiver with your ticket purchase that releases them from literally any injury, theft, death etc. and they lean on that heavily. So many dangerous things. Fire alarms dangling by wires, holes in the ceilings. Broken wood splintering on the walls, broken bathroom doors, metal barriers falling over, and worst of all hundreds of humans packed in too small of a space to even breathe. This is not a safe venue environment in more ways than one. We also waited in line outside for an hour after opening time before they even started checking IDs. Everyone was already annoyed before even entering. Lighting is so bad you can’t even see who’s performing. The layout sucks. If your 21+ you get put in a barrier in the middle so goodluck going to the bathroom, you’ll have to push past 400 people to get there and none of them are happy to let you by because it’s so hot and crowded. The snarky comments from the owner on all the low reviews really is the cherry on top. I’d be so embarrassed to have my name attached to this establishment. Then to have the nerve to reply “hope you find what you’re looking for at a different venue” or “this review is a lie” or “that’s a promoter problem not a venue problem” instead of stepping your game up you make excuses. We had such an amazing experience there so when we came back to Arizona we wanted to check this place out. This location is definitely bigger because it's attached to their two other interactive bars. Reservations are a must since it's super popular. At the Gilbert location they actually played sound effects which made you actually feel like you were at sea! The bartenders were also not as interactive as the ones at the other location. We prefer sitting at the bar and getting to know our bartenders, but when we came here, our bartenders took our drink order then would disappear. Not much customer service or effort to make rapport. The menu here was also super small! At the Gilbert location you get an actual book full of different unique cocktails. At this location we got a laminated page. I completely understand how busy it can be on a Friday night, but I have to be honest as this can be a detriment to other people who want to visit this place. We were lucky to make it to a spectacular showcase of Dennis Rowland & his mentees from Scottsdale Community College. Every semester, the class culminates in a concert held here. We experienced such a positive vibe there, per the usual! I sat next to a chick I'd never met before & we just chimed in as backup when one student sang Sinatra's "That's Life." Because we were FEELIN' IT! The band itself was outstanding - they consistently jammed for more than four hours. The pianist?! Epic. Dennis hung out on the sidelines, supporting his students, as he's done for a decade+ The bar served a very small glass of house Zin for $9. Normally, I would not be cool w/ that. BUT...The Nash is in the middle of a capital campaign to renovate the club, so if upcharging for drinks can help fund the reno, I am more than happy to pay for extra. They have photos up of how the club will be upgraded & it looks pretty grand! We're excited for the makeover. As far as parking: it was disappointing that street parking meters on the west side were covered - meaning not usable. No idea why City of Phx did that, but they're where we usually park for $3-$5. Instead we parked in Carly's parking lot w/ the app & it was THIRTEEN DAMN DOLLARS. AYKM?! That's bananas. I'd say get there earlier to find street parking that may require hoofing it a little. She helped us make decisions, told us what was on the happy hour menu and recommended drinks too. She told us it might be a minute on the drinks but kept us posted about everything that was going on. It was strawberry with a little spritzer, very flavorful and they didn't skimp on alcohol. We ordered the southern fries which were half price for half the size which was perfect for 2 people. The fries were amaaaazing!! You could get them with ranch or bleu cheese but we got ranch! Great combo with the BBQ sauce and ranch! I ordered the Mac and cheese with blackened chicken. Before I ordered, I asked if it was good and she said yes but I asked if she was just saying that and she said no they use lots of different cheeses, definitely not Kraft and it wasn't!! I really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger with garlic sweet potato fries which were out of this world!!! Brielle was really good about checking on us, refilling our waters without us asking, and checking to see if we needed anything. Great place to watch the game with a huge screen and of course country music! I didn't experience the club or party aspect but would definitely go back for happy hour and the bar scene!
