The only thing i enjoyed was the crab and cheese rangoon. the pork bao buns were pretty flavorless and the buns themselves falling apart. my fiance got the shenghai ribs with white rice and i enjoyed the rice. the rib sauce was very thick and the meat wasn’t as tender as id prefer. but the chicken soup dumplings had to be my least favorite. the broth had this odd sweetness that i wasn’t expecting and the texture of the chicken was not pleasant. I'm already in love with Asian cuisine but this resturant is by far one of the best Asian restaurants I've been too! I went and I got a lot of bit of everything. This ramen spot is tucked away at the edge of Chinatown. They had delicious ramen and small dishes. The portion is generous and they even had white sesame grinder, fried garlic and Japanese spicy powder as condiments. We ordered the signature ramen and black sesame ramen(this is extra big). Both were flavorful, had various toppings, made to order and reasonably priced(~$15 per regular ramen) The seats were almost filled within 30 minutes of opening on a Friday so I would say expect some wait. It’s obviously known in the area as it was pretty packed when we showed up. The restaurant was really cute. They have a mixed menu with options for meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians. Got the cheese boat, a grill veg salad, and a chicken dish. Everything was so delicious. They did change the interior so it's more classy and doesn't have the wooden tables anymore.

Food was great. We had the soup dumplings, Khachapuri, lamb, veal rib barbecue and lamb lula kebob. All the items were hot and tasty but the lamb barbecue was a bit hard. The service was honestly TERRIBLE. We had to wait so so long for the food to come out or even get water. We had to ask two times for just a water pitch which was originally brought to us super warm and the third time they took it back and brought a more chilled one. I don’t think our server really wanted to be there or interested in the job. I was super uncomfortable and would never dine in again. I liked the food though so If I want some Georgian food I would do a take out or pick up.

They are open until 10:30pm. We arrived about 9:15pm and were warmly greeted and seated next to the window by the host. Our waitress came by in a few minutes, she had a cheerful demeanor and made us feel welcomed. She gave us good recommendations for drinks and food. We shared a peach flavored soju drink. It was sweet and flavorful. It was 13% alcohol so it had a little hidden kick but you couldn’t taste the alcohol. Our soup/stew entrees came out and we were both pleasantly surprised by rich broth and amount of ingredients hiding beneath. My yukgaejang looked amazing. I could see numerous pieces of shredded beef above the rich reddish spicy broth. Both stews come worth a bowl of rice. I used the spoon to scoop up some rice and dip it in it the bowl to soak up the tasty broth. It was so delicious. I don’t like really spicy foods but it has just the right amount of heat. My friend loved his kimchi jjigae. It was quite spicy so he was loving it. Overall the food was filled with flavor, reasonably priced and the service was amazing. It appears the kitchen storage is all in the front of the restaurant- disorganized mess right there for everyone to stare at while they order and eat. I should have turned right around and walked away then- but figured I wouldn’t judge a book by its cover and would try the buns. If they are amazing, I can overlook the hole in the wall appearance. I ordered the fried chicken and pork belly buns and both were mediocre - at best. That’s being generous. The tight wrapping around each bun appears cute but makes for a difficult eating experience. The chicken was not a robust/juicy piece (for a $5 bun) and the pork belly was SUPER fatty. I know pork belly is supposed to be fatty- but this was all fat, no meat. The flavors were decent but the meats are poor quality. The pork belly bun was topped with crushed peanut “stuff” and made the whole thing SO messy. Another inconvenience for a quick bite mid work day. You would think that for $5 per bun, they would be larger and with better quality ingredients. Both were stuffed into a tiny brown box which was good touched w greasy hands too. Not appealing. I won’t be going back - and recommend you try “bao nine” down the street for delicious and more affordable buns. Or Chinatown! Womp. This place stinks.

Pros: I had the cheese steak dumplings and they were pretty good. Kind of what you expect. Wasn't too hot to bite in. They were set up at my soccer practice which can be kind of convenient. I’ll start off with the fact I was skeptical about this place. The dumplings were round, deep fried, there were cheesesteak dumplings and they give you teriyaki sauce or ketchup to dip. I’m a traditional dumpling kind of person so I pre judged. Then I asked about the dough, was it like gyoza or is it like jiaozi? The woman at the register told me they’re on the thicker side but they’re in between. I LOVE jiaozi and living in NC it’s hard to find anything other than gyoza so I ordered the traditional pork dumplings..I’m so happy I got over myself and tried the dumplings. The dough was the ringer for me, the inside could’ve been trash and I would’ve been satisfied but they just got better the further you got into the bite. I was told to try galaxy out. 1st time visiting this bar and will be my last time. They are serving rat meat making it look like chicken.
