One of the best of my life. Of the three I had during my trip to Philadelphia, this one had my favorite bread by far. The meat looked like ground beef when it was sitting on the grill instead of thinly shaved ribeye. Im sure it still was equally good quality ribeye, but it was just maybe more finely chopped here, vs other places where you can see it is in larger shavings. I ordered extra cheese and they hooked it up. I got the sweet peppers on top, also delicious. Good price too compared to a lot of the fancier cheesesteak places. The only criticism I have is that they take cash only. I would say this is a contender for my favorite cheesesteak in Philadelphia, will absolutely come back anytime I am in the area again!

It’s the exact opposite. It’s a really cute and fun inside. I definitely was sleeping on this place. Went here on the late night on a holiday nonetheless and the food and service was on point. They cater to mixed diets which is great since I’m vegan and my friend isn’t. We both ordered the corn dogs as starters. He had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I had the Beyond Mom’s Vegan Burger. We shared some fries. To drink we both had the Tiki Kitty. I never had a corn dog before and enjoyed it and so did my friend. He really liked his Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. At first he didn’t think it was that spicy, but the spice kicked in and he was like I feel the heat now. I was worried my beyond burger was going to feel like something I eat at home, but they put their own spin on it and it was yummy. I now go to another cheesesteak place close by my house called Verona’s and for about the same price the cheesesteaks were better flavored and seasoning. There were quite a few things on this menu that looked good so don’t be surprised to see a follow up on this at some point, but had to talk about this sandwich and experience specifically. The Schmitter is a pretty odd sandwich honestly given what’s on it. Basically a cheesesteak with onions, tomato’s, salami, and their sauce that is similar to a Big Mac sauce. I’d never have thought to add salami to a cheesesteak, but here we are. The flavor was quite good, it was on a round Kaiser (you can order long roll if you want) which reminded me of donkeys place a bit, and the tomato added a nice freshness as well. The price is what you’d expect, maybe a tad bit more, for the sandwich and it comes with basic ridged chips. My girlfriend also got a chicken cheesesteak that was good but looked awful. They use a broiler/salamander to melt the cheese and it came out looking burnt, but it tasted fine. All in all I enjoyed it and will come back again and get another or sample other items. This place always has good options, good drinks and a nice vibe - same news true even though it was a Monday night. Bartender/waitress was cool, helpful in providing another menu option and had good energy in serving us drinks/food. It’s by far our favorite vegan restaurant in Philadelphia and there’s some stiff competition here. We have come here for a thanks giving dinner, an Italian dinner and a June dinner party. This place is incredible. My favorite thing about any restaurant is the creativity and Fitz on 4th knocked it out of the park with the corn ribs! They were cooked, seasoned to perfection, and they were extremely fun to eat. I’d order this again and again. It’s something I haven’t seen anywhere else. Kudos to the chef team for cooking this up! Other menu items we ordered included: pretzels, which were sliced pretzel bread pieces served with a cashew cheese. It was lighter than your typical pretzel, which made it easier to eat and still have room for the main courses. We got the mushroom sliders, which were great. I loved that they used a lion’s mane mushroom rather than shiitake. The Nonna’s meatballs were also on the lighter side. The meatballs break apart easily to be eaten with the bread and sauce, which is preferred by me. Last, we got the Gnocchi, which was good, but not memorable. For dessert, we opted for the crème brûlée and the brownie with ice cream. I was not a fan of the brownie. The problem was it was too dense and from how you are led into the dessert with all the menu items being lighter and easy to eat, this one is just too heavy. The crème brûlée on the other hand was perfect. Perfect flambé on top and texture on point. I’ll be back and I’m excited to check out the rest of the menu for the items I almost ordered.
