I have been here a few times of the years. It seems to fall in quality each time. I had a solo mid week lunch. This place always has a good size crowd. It’s very lively and feels like a great TexMex spot. I was seated immediately and the waiter came quickly to take my drink order and provide chips and salsa. I ordered the skirt steak fajitas. It would be the last time I saw my waiter until I was as finished. The chips are solid. The salsas are ok. The green doesn’t have much flavor. Red was a little better but no heat. Fajitas came out with all the fixings plus beans and rices. The meat was slightly overcooked for my taste but still doable. The flavor was the real problem. It simply lacked seasoning. The tortillas were very good when they were warm. Once they cooled down they became very rigid and my last one broke apart while I was as finishing my fajitas. The kicker is the fajitas are average but they cost $45. That’s not going to cut it. Sadly, I won’t be making anymore stops at Ninfa’s. Luckily, Houston is full of great other options.

We were able to make a reservation through Resi which was great. We parked with the valet ($5) and were greeted by the host upon entrance. We were seated right away and were welcomed by our server. The ambience was beautiful with dim lights perfect for a romantic dinner. We were served with a complimentary small plate appetizer and garlic bread which was really nice. I ordered Filet mignon, side of mash potatoes and my husband ordered pasta with chicken and shrimp. For the first half service was decent, we were checked upon a couple of times but the second half was pretty disappointing. Our server seemed to be attending other tables (large parties that were probably ordering drinks and more expensive items). The place was still only 20% full. We kept waiting on our server after dessert well finished but no one wanted to attend to us. Since we were done and had other plans after dinner, I had to call for another server to get us our check. Till the very end, our main server did not attend to us to ask how everything went. Lots of different seating sections and a beautiful patio seating available as well. The food tasted delicious but the slow and inattentive service is not what we expected from this place. It would have been great to get the dessert comped specially if someone is celebrating their birthday / anniversary etc.

It’s a nice place to grab some classic American food. The pork burger was excellent. While it had great pork flavor with the pork patty and bacon, it was balanced out with the arugula and blueberry ketchup. The tacos were solid but the rice and beans were flavorless. I would say it should have a dip. When you order it without cheese it's dry. For the appetizer I ordered guacamole. I sent those back and requested bread. And I tried the sweet potato fries. They were good . But they appeared to be the typical kind you can buy frozen at the grocery store.

You pair the tacos with the green and red salsa, I add both, smh but I can’t help it. Sometimes the green salsa is spicier but both salsa’s enhance the flavor of the tacos. We were craving Mexican food and were nearby and stumbled upon this location completely by accident. Thankfully it was a great accident. The food here was really good. So good, we would be willing to make the hour long drive every week. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was super busy when we went but wait times were not very long. If you have a large party (I would say over 4 people) you will probably have a hard time finding seating during busy hours. Which speaks volumes regarding the place. I could easily say that everything we ordered tasted really good. The main reason we came was because we wanted Mexican food with coffee (as weird as that sounds) it’s common in our culture. And someone has posted photos of the lattes. And we love lattes. The lattes here were very good which was a surprise given that it’s not really a coffee shop. Hats off to whomever the barista was the day we went. All of our food came out warm and our order was right on the first go around. It didn’t take very long from when we placed our order to when we received it but you can tell the food is made to order and not reheated. Prices are on the higher end of things (I was shocked by the $6 price tag of the chocolate chip cookie) but honestly I think it’s fair given the quality of the food. Place is small and quaint, a bit on the louder side (busy), but would still suggest it as a spot to catch up with a friend or as a brunch date with a loved one. Really enjoyed my experience at this location and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon. We arrived around 8:15 and there was plenty of parking available and only one group ahead of us in line. Service was quick and efficient and there were lots of tables available even if some people were ignoring the sign that asked you to order before taking a seat. For breakfast we ordered the carrot taco, mushroom tetela, mole enchiladas and papaya salad. My go to breakfast is always greek yogurt with granola and berries so I was most excited to try the papaya salad. While I really enjoyed the homemade granola and the lime agave syrup, I found the flavor (or lack thereof) of the papaya to not add much to the dish. Really enjoyed the carrot taco and thought the mushroom tetela was fine. My husband said the mole enchiladas were pretty good. I also ordered the Cafe de Olla. I found it interesting that the only milks they offer are whole milk and oat milk. I enjoyed the complex flavor of my first sip but found the drink to be overall too cloying and sweet to have much more than a sip or two. Was happy to try this breakfast spot that seems to be on everyone’s list right now, but didn't enjoy any of the dishes so much that I would order them again if we came back.

Every single dish I have ever tried here has been delicious, including the pastries. I had never thought I would love a dish like a carrot taco, but it is absolutely delicious, along with their chorizo chilaquiles in the red salsa that they serve in the weekend. Their chilaquiles verdes are also delicious and so are the enmoladas. No matter the dish, you could never go wrong here. They put such work in the flavors, everything is so well balanced, it is absolutely the best.

They provide a small indoor area, but I think the majority of customers just eat in their cars or take it to go. The food was great, and the portion size for the price was solid. The green salsa was spicy, but a must try. I wish I could've tried the beans, but since I went right as they opened, they were cooked just yet. I recommend going around 3ish to have the full menu available. Everything tasted fresh. I definitely need to go back and try the other items on the menu, but i tried the large quesadilla and corn tacos. I tried the beef, pork, and the mix.
