One pro tip - get to the park 20-30 minutes before they open to get parked and in line for the security. It can take 30-40 minutes to get in if you don’t arrive early.

The rides are fun, the staff is friendly while still keeping us safe, it has such a good local feel since it's run by the city and not like a Six Flags, and it's overall just a magical place. The lines do get long nearly every day on warm days, and it can take a while to get in if you get there in the morning, but that's all just kind of just modern Denver. Make absolutely sure you're wearing sunscreen, and reapply several times if you're there all day! There's quite a range of fashion choices, if you're modest or nervous about sun feel free to cover up more, or if you want to go skimpier/thong-y that seems fine too. I haven't encountered any creepy bikini police scolding us about our bikini choices, so wear what you want. Overall it's absolutely worth going, and if you hate lines go early in the season on the coldest day you can stand. We went today and were incredibly disappointed. First of all, the park cleanliness was not great. The water was pretty dang cold. Lockers are small and expensive, everything is expensive. None of the refill station would let us fill water, they wanted us to pay for new waterbottles everytime. The whole park is pretty confusing unless you are a frequent attendee. No refunds, no convenience, no customer service, crap gift shop, expensive crappy food, no consistency between staff, website is misleading and terrible, no accountability. This place needs to be reported to the better business beuro for stealing from their customers. WATERWORLD, DO BETTER! Between the many negative Facebook reviews and the few on Google, your reputation is going down the toilet along with your park. Secondly, don't ask anyone for directions or help or where to purchase an item or check something. Its an inconvenience to them, they avoid looking at you, and just point in a direction saying over to the right or over that way. Last, I can NOT comprehend the rudeness, chaos, lack of signs and accurate information, making people wait in 90 minute line to borrow a tube for a slide. Carry that giant tube up the metal stairs by yourself. Stand in another 60 to 90 minute line for said slide. They take your tube at the end of the slide and you have to do it all over again. Wait in a line to go wait in a line. Also, you'll have to reserve cabanas/bungalow months in advance if you want one but from the comments i read its not worth it. Customer service is wretched. The park is massive and very few connecting paths, it's like walking through a maze. The wave pool last only a few minutes. The lazy river is super super short. You have to rent tube for the lazy river but can't use them ANYWHERE else and If you carry your tube for too long staff will stop you to reprimand you for carrying your tube around the park because apparently thats only allowed when they say it's ok to carry a massive 2 person tube up 5 flights of metal stairs. $25 for one towel at the gift shop. The changing rooms are saunas, they are very warm and it's hard to put a bathing suit on while you're sweating to death in a matter of 1 minute. The curtains for the changing stalls were ghetto and didnt cover the opening well. The locker set up is weird and kind of a pain. There were a lot of older people that couldn't understand how to reserve or use a locker and staff doesnt help with anything so they couldn't ask them. Nobody tells you any of these things. The staff seems to be incredibly unhappy with their job or there just rude as he'll. We planned this on our vacation with soooo much excitement. It was the worst experience we've had on any trip or theme/water park. Supposedly one of the best water parks in the nation, this is false. Im so so so sad by this experience. TOTAL AND UTTER WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY. Maybe Elitch Gardens is the better choice. If we come back that's were we will try next. The best part of the Waterpark was seeing a cute squirrel.

Boy do I hate this polluting waste of water. This thing is barely open due to my sheer difficulty in maintaining it and the fact that it is the only "good option" when it comes to public pools in the area. Wait times for glorified water slimes while carrying a heavy tube up rough concrete stairs in bare feet. We got there at opening and within the first hour the waves went off twice. At this point an announcement was made to clear the wave pool for a mandatory break. But anyways I think its a decent park, NOT the best but its something and it has cool views seeing the mountains and the skyline of Denver. Btw, If you wanna save money just get a season pass for like $69 bucks or something around there and you get free parking and bring 2 people in with you for free too, and you can go trough out the year as many times as you want like even fright fest (haunted houses not included) which was probably one of the worse haunted house I have every been trough. You have to pay like around $200 for 3 people just to wait in line for an hour while the wanna be gangster teenagers are cutting you. I went with 2 friends and once we finally got inside it was horrible. Just tarp walls and pool noodles, cheap stuff like that. I run a home haunt at my house and the people who I was with said they would rather go to my home haunted house and wait a couple of minutes for free btw instead of eliches haunted house. While we were halfway trough something happened and the emergency alarm went off so we all had to exit and had to wait another 15 minutes just to finish the haunted house, but we had to wait in the "VIP" line which took about 10 minutes of us waiting. The fright fest was cool with the actors and props out but I do NOT recommend the "haunted houses" Anyways its an okay park........ Id give it a 3.5 star or a 4 for just the only big amusement park till slat lake city.

So we had a party room that was not cleaned and not use of the pool and it cost us $100. I feel the situation should have been handled and communicated a lot better. First, maybe don’t tell the details of what happened maybe just say we have to clean or sorry for the delay. Maybe say I can get you a ball or you can go run on the gym or have a bigger room to play games in. Maybe don’t argue and wave hands around and be flat rude to your customers. Maybe don’t say a refund is an option and then take it back or better yet say it won’t be open then it will and get kids crying at a party all over again. The entire thing was not handled well. We will never have a pool party again. If you want to have a party that your kid might end up in tears at then it might be worth the chance. We won’t ever chance it again. We go here frequently for the fun slides as the community pool where we live is bland and doesn’t even have a diving board. A nice one. We came by to check this place out. So happy we did. They let us turn our day pass into an annual pass. You can also add a 2nd vehicle for an additional $30. We might do that too. However the area that this gigantic Park is so massive that you really don't run into too many people too often, whether you stick to the paths or not. Its good for exersizing for sure, lots of ground to cover with plenty of hills, and beautiful scenery all the while! Love it here, but if its sunny, and you aren't a big fan of the sun, you may be a little miserable. Its difficult to find shade, although there are covered picnic areas. There's only a couple though and they're far and few between, and a little bit of a hike to get to each one of them. Getting down to the water's edge at least from the south side entrance is difficult. You have to jump down a 4 to 5 foot ledge to get to the "beach-area" and once you're down there, the challenge is getting back up! If you're fairly young and still in decent shape you should be able to do it. But not without a little bit of a struggle. Lots of prairie dogs, so watch where you're walking, or you may just twist your ankle stepping in a hole! There are porta potties for your convenience, and a map with brochures for your pleasure! Overall, a worth-while stop, at least once! If for no other reason, to take in the views, especially beautiful at sunset!

I’ve never been to a park/Reservoir where they hound you so much. I’ve gone a handful of times, they patrol you on land, they stop you as many times as they can on the lake to make sure you check in. I went today with a friend and we stopped right outside the park to pump up our paddle boards and they came flying up and told us we had to check in( we weren’t even in the park yet) that we couldn’t prep in the parking lot.
