My warning is just this is not for beginner hikers. There are 6 water crossings and a few of us in our group fell trying to cross the river so many times with unstable rocks and sometimes not a clear path to cross. It’s also more than 8 miles if you start at Sabino canyon visitor center. Our watches said it was more like 9.5 or so miles round trip. It was amazing to see the falls though! And the mountains in Sabino are beautiful. I’d recommend waterproof hiking sandals or shoes, hiking sticks and bring extra shoes/clothes. I honestly had the best time doing it though. Make sure you do wear some sturdy shoes because it can be rocky. At the end, it’s very peaceful and enjoyable to watch the Falls. It was convenient to access it directly from the JW Marriott (though parking is restricted) and a fairly easy loop to complete. And then I asked about installation and they said they don't install doors there. so I kind of was a little upset that I didn't get more help or they didn't even offer to find a solution for me they kind of were just doing their paperwork behind a little counter there. So I think this isn't the place for a buy and go type deal. It's not like a home Depot and trust me I don't want to shop at home Depot either. which is why I was trying this place. So I have the pamphlet of all the doors and I do wanna but one but now that I know where the doors come from and what vendor they are from I might just buy a direct from the vendor because these people here at this business did not bother to really try and make a sale with me. So I'm not sure if this place is for customers or more for contractors where you're buying multiples of things I'm not sure but it is what it is sorry guys. I did notice that the price is looked pretty decent I'll give them that and as one guy said in another review they have some awesome buy and go countertops granite at a great price so if you're in the market for some granite countertops I would recommend stopping here because I do think these are buy and go. But I doubt that they do any installation themselves so keep that in mind.

Fabulous views! We were told that dogs are not permitted on the trails although we didn't see a sign. Returned the next day without the dog. To the dam its about 5 mi there and back and it took us about 3 hours with little breaks (& two kids). I thought it was the perfect mix of uphill, flat and natural features for a beginner hiker. There was water in a few places in early January. We left about 9am but even in January it would have been a good idea if we had left earlier. I would be wary of this hike in the summer months because there is very little shade (if you have older, younger or are not accustomed to our climate) maybe bring an umbrella and leave at 5-6am. We each drank an entire large refillable waterbottle during our hike and it wasn't enough! Don't forget your sunscreen! Make sure to get both maps. The dam is not a direct hit. We started on the Loma trail but had to jump on two other trails as we went. You can Google map it too!

It is incredibly steep and very loose but well worth the effort. When you think you see the top it isn't. The peak is actually another half mile or so behind that hill you see. The first 3 miles are much more tame but still rocky and rough in many sections. We rode it all the way up. If you mountain bike it is doable but be prepared for a lot of hike a bike action. The descent is incredible and very difficult, particularly the beginning from the summit. Excellent ride or hike if you are willing to put in some effort. It is no joke.
