We've lived nearby this fantastic museum for over a decade and never visited because I had assumed it would be small. However we spent some delightful hours perusing their collections. Their botany section is fascinating. Natural history fantastic. The museum is laid out in the most captivating way. Intriguing items provoke curiosity. The museum makes full use of the building's stunning architecture becoming part of the exhibits. The mezzanine area is stunning with my daughter saying it defies gravity. Its more than okay in my eyes but I can't give it 4 or 5. This is a really good little place to go for a couple of hours for free with or without children. There's a few small exhibits. For me I like seeing the retro exhibit which shows different items for different eras. We always make for information and history centres whenever we moor in a new place to try and learn as much as we can about it. This place has lots of information and history, and two friendly ladies there to answer questions and share insights.
