This was really cool. I love that the memorial took out part of the street in order to make the reflecting pool. It is moving and quiet in the middle of the city. It was simple but poignant. My son was with us (18 yrs) and he did not take know any details so it was great to be able to talk him through history that I remembered from when I was 12. We did not have time to do the museum, which would have answered a lot of his questions but we did the best we could but the interactive video screens were extremely helpful. I truly recommended stopping if you are in OKC. I also suggest going across the street to the church memorial and reading the story there. Worth the time.

Visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial was an incredibly moving and humbling experience. The site is beautifully designed, with powerful symbolism throughout—especially the Field of Empty Chairs, which honors each life lost in the 1995 bombing. Visiting the memorial and museum was a powerful experience. I was 5 or 6 when this happened and don't have the most vivid memory of it so I'm glad to have visited to more truly understand the gravity of this tragedy. We visited this very moving memorial and museum for the Oklahoma City Bombing by McVay in 1995. The outdoor guided tour around the reflection pool and the Empty Chairs representing the victims killed was very informative! Each chair was etched with the name of the victim. Each row of chairs represented the victims killed on each of the 9 floors of the building. The chairs light up at night and look like they are floating in the night.

The plants are so pretty in the Botanical Gardens building as well as outside in the surrounding area. If you don't do well in the heat, you might not be able to go to the second floor. The Myriad Botanical Gardens is an interesting one compared to other botanical gardens I’ve been to before. The outside area is open to the public and free. The indoor area is also open to the public but $10.50/adult. Taking a look at it from the outside it is clear that it is not that big. It looks like 30 minutes would be ample time to explore the whole thing. I thought that the beautifully maintained outdoor area that surrounds the indoor area was enough for me. I probably walked around the perimeter for about 20-25 minutes at a leisurely pace. If you have time to kill and really like botany, paying the entry fee may be worth it for you. A great and lovely place to stroll through. The conservatory was fantastic. A word of caution. I read somewhere they had a restaurant and I saw signs in the garden pointing the way. But the restaurant closed down at some point in the past. If you walk across the street, northwest corner of gardens, look for the Devon nebu building where there are different eateries. There was plenty of metered parking on some of the streets around the facility.

Wow! We had an amazing visit! Took us about 2.5 hours to go through the exhibits, reading almost every plaque. We love Chihuly, and we saved that for last! I really loved how all the exhibits were grouped and had a written rationale for organization. We had such a great time at the Oklahoma City Zoo! Our group included seven adults, a 3-year-old, and an 11-month-old—and we were all able to get in for just $150. Such a great value for a full day of fun, especially with our extended family joining us.
The zoo itself is beautiful, clean, and impressively large—we didn’t even make it through the whole thing before it was time for nap time! Visited this museum TWICE while in town for a week because it was that much fun.
My kids ages 4 and 7 loved every nook of this place. The museum is huge and while packed with activities feels very spacious, open and clean.
There are exhibits for all age ranges and I think kids and adults can be engaged for hours just the same. We all enjoyed every aspect of it.
The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well equipped for children to independently use them including low sinks, soap and towels.
We loved the mirror maze, sensory nook, tinker room, and the live science shows (we saw two).
I’d like to mention 2 cons:
- the food offered at the restaurant is not good quality nor there are healthy options. The cafeteria just doesn’t makes sense with such a great facility. Wish they offered healthy, fresh cooked food. My kids ate pizza and a pretzel and both were packaged/frozen, warmed up low quality food. But they do have Starbucks coffee and I enjoyed that.
- the garden has so much potential to be a great place as well but seemed a bit neglected. There are a couple of things you would do there but a playground or more science outside would’ve been great. The picnic tables were also dirty and a bit neglected.
Overall a very good experience and I recommend it for a full day of fun. Pack your own lunch and snacks and you are all set! Worth the ticket price 100%.

If you have kids under 38 inches just known there are like 4 rides. Food is about $16 drinks are like $5 or they have a cup you can refill for free but it's $20. This is not a huge six flags park which for me is nice as I was able to go, spent a few hours and ride what I wanted to. The park is a good, small park. Some of attractions and rides were closed, including the Dimond back. You cannot take anything on any rides, which was pretty ridiculous. No sunglasses on simple rides. We couldn't take any items on the river ride and had to come walk all the way to back to the entrance to get our things. This park is SMALL, I’ve seen bigger Walmart parking lots then the parking lot for SFFC. if you have a season pass and in the area it’s a decent place to stop to get a few ride credits but I wouldn’t recommend traveling more then an hour to the park or buy a day ticket. The entire park has a western theme. There is a quick western show on the main plaza about 15min before rope drop & they have a decent stunt show with the same actors a few times a day. We’re from out of state and decided to make a stop here, and I’m so glad we did. I was so excited to see a bull terrier skull (I own one myself! We were in town a few days and planned to visit this house one morning. I love historic buildings and history so I was excited.
We tried buying tickets and booking online, but there was not a place to actually book tours. We had a great time visiting the Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion! The place has such a nostalgic and historical feel — walking through it really takes you back in time. The mansion itself is beautiful, and you can tell how well they’ve preserved it.
The only downside was that we weren’t able to go upstairs. We paid $25 per adult for the full experience, but the upper level was blocked off. The tour guide explained it was for safety reasons since they didn’t want too many people on the staircase at once, which I understand — but based on the crowd size that day, I think it would’ve been fine. It just felt like we missed out on part of the experience.
The kitchen was my favorite area — really cool to see how things were set up back then. I even used the old telephone to call my own phone just for fun! 😂 Everything was roped off, so we couldn’t get up close or enter the dining and lounging areas, but overall it was still a cool experience.

This place is magical in every way! We will come here anytime and everytime we are in OKC. Most places kids go they are restricted on what they can touch and where they can go and there are all these limitations. Those limitations melt away as soon as you enter this place. It's so great for their developing brains! The Oklahoma Railway Museum was a fun and insightful experience. I have two teenaged boys that I wasn’t sure how they would react to visiting here but nearly as soon as we were out of the car they were all over the exhibits. There is something about trains that sparks curiosity in people of all ages, in turn igniting interest in those giant beast of a machine that will never fade. While here (Aug. 23, 2025) we only saw one staffer during our visit and while we didn’t directly interact with her, we did overhear a conversation between her and another visitor who really only had a question about a new feature that is soon to be offered and the staffer was very pleasant and accommodating and answered the question confidently. The museum isn’t packed with visitors so you’re able to take your time without feeling rushed or crowded out. It’s a living exhibit and it seems they are periodically able to add more pieces but those pieces have to be restored often time to a quality worthy of display so please consider donating something even if if admission is free to help keep this museum open for future visitors to enjoy.

This tropical conservatory is awesome. In a not too huge crystal tube they've managed to fit some ecosystems.
You can find some orchids at the entrance, followed by a set of bromeliads and tillandsias. They even have a pineapple and some banana trees.
Once you're inside, you instantly feel the warmth and the moist of a tropical environment.
There's a main deck and some upper levels on both ends. On one side there are more desertic species.
This conservatory is part of the Myriad Botanical Gardens. A larger space with a small lake with kois and ducks and some areas for performances and prom events.
My only concern is they close al 17:00 (as everything in the area) and that the gift store doesn't have some extra 15 min left for souvenir picking. But that's just me, the place is awesome.
