Wow! We had an amazing visit! Took us about 2.5 hours to go through the exhibits, reading almost every plaque. We love Chihuly, and we saved that for last! I really loved how all the exhibits were grouped and had a written rationale for organization. We had a fantastic time at the museum. We went to the special exhibit they had for Ansel Adams, and I didn't expect the exhibit to be as large as it was. They have a variety of his photos spanning the length of his life as well as photos other took of Ansel. This review pertains to the OKC Museum of Art Movie Theater and its screening of the 2025 Manhattan Short Film Festival. The museum itself is a beautiful facility, and I’m glad we have it in OKC. Unfortunately, the movie theater leaves much to be desired. While it does feature stadium seating, the seats are small, uncomfortably low to the ground, and not at all supportive. The screen is undersized, the sound system is weaker than what I have at home, and the projection quality looked more like a washed-out 1980s big-screen TV than a modern cinema.
On top of that, there are no concessions—no popcorn, candy, or soft drinks—to make the experience more enjoyable. As for the 2025 Manhattan Short Film Festival itself, it was deeply disappointing. Each short film seemed worse than the last, with one even crossing into shock value by depicting disturbing cruelty between insects. If this is truly considered the “best” of upcoming filmmakers, it only highlights how far standards have fallen.

Took a quick trip from Tulsa to OKC to see the Jeff Buckley documentary at the OKC Museum of Art. Arrived early and walked around the museum, and we were really impressed. We were thrilled to see the Ansel Adams exhibit and the Chihuly pieces. Every employee of the museum that we encountered was very helpful. Visited this museum TWICE while in town for a week because it was that much fun.
My kids ages 4 and 7 loved every nook of this place. The museum is huge and while packed with activities feels very spacious, open and clean.
There are exhibits for all age ranges and I think kids and adults can be engaged for hours just the same. We all enjoyed every aspect of it.
The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well equipped for children to independently use them including low sinks, soap and towels.
We loved the mirror maze, sensory nook, tinker room, and the live science shows (we saw two).
I’d like to mention 2 cons:
- the food offered at the restaurant is not good quality nor there are healthy options. The cafeteria just doesn’t makes sense with such a great facility. Wish they offered healthy, fresh cooked food. My kids ate pizza and a pretzel and both were packaged/frozen, warmed up low quality food. But they do have Starbucks coffee and I enjoyed that.
- the garden has so much potential to be a great place as well but seemed a bit neglected. There are a couple of things you would do there but a playground or more science outside would’ve been great. The picnic tables were also dirty and a bit neglected.
Overall a very good experience and I recommend it for a full day of fun. Pack your own lunch and snacks and you are all set! Worth the ticket price 100%.

We celebrated my kids’ birthday here recently and it was completely worth it. The staff drew pictures on the wall that gave them so much glee. We added in the ice cream package and Roman did a fantastic job getting the kids involved. All the families had so much fun checking out the museum as most parents hadn’t been since they were kids. i took my kids to the "Discover Fest" and the had a blast, i highly recomend it, they do it every year and IT IS FREE! they always have so many interesting things and shows. I think the only kind of "not good" thing was that they were selling water bottles in $3.50 and sodas in $2.00 which i think is not really good for kids being dirsty and trying to save their money they finished picking up

This was really cool. I love that the memorial took out part of the street in order to make the reflecting pool. It is moving and quiet in the middle of the city. It was simple but poignant. My son was with us (18 yrs) and he did not take know any details so it was great to be able to talk him through history that I remembered from when I was 12. We did not have time to do the museum, which would have answered a lot of his questions but we did the best we could but the interactive video screens were extremely helpful. I truly recommended stopping if you are in OKC. I also suggest going across the street to the church memorial and reading the story there. Worth the time.

Visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial was an incredibly moving and humbling experience. The site is beautifully designed, with powerful symbolism throughout—especially the Field of Empty Chairs, which honors each life lost in the 1995 bombing. The best museum I’ve ever been to. I have 3 boys and they absolutely lived the time we spent there. The owl pellet class was awesome and the person that led the class was amazing. He answered all our questions and was so informative. The collection is insane. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see everything because the kiddos pulled me around. Went on a friday morning, was busy but still really fun and cool experience took my 4 year old and my 2 month old. Inside stayed really nice and cooled off which i appreciated so much haha. We’re from out of state and decided to make a stop here, and I’m so glad we did. I was so excited to see a bull terrier skull (I own one myself! And there such funny looking dogs), which was such a fun surprise. My 3-year-old and I had a great time exploring. We spent about an hour and really enjoyed it. The staff were all very nice and welcoming.
I also really appreciate the thoughtful touches — free tampons and pads in the restroom and a baby changing table. It’s the small details like that that make a big difference. Definitely worth the visit!

Such a great museum full of interesting history! Perfect for all age groups, honestly. We were very happy at the amount of “hands on history” displays where the kids could interact and bring the lesson to life. Admission was very affordable, even having a family admission rate! The Oklahoma Railway Museum was a fun and insightful experience. I have two teenaged boys that I wasn’t sure how they would react to visiting here but nearly as soon as we were out of the car they were all over the exhibits. There is something about trains that sparks curiosity in people of all ages, in turn igniting interest in those giant beast of a machine that will never fade. While here (Aug. 23, 2025) we only saw one staffer during our visit and while we didn’t directly interact with her, we did overhear a conversation between her and another visitor who really only had a question about a new feature that is soon to be offered and the staffer was very pleasant and accommodating and answered the question confidently. The museum isn’t packed with visitors so you’re able to take your time without feeling rushed or crowded out. It’s a living exhibit and it seems they are periodically able to add more pieces but those pieces have to be restored often time to a quality worthy of display so please consider donating something even if if admission is free to help keep this museum open for future visitors to enjoy.

We were the only visitors early Saturday morning right after they opened, so there was no wait or a line. From the outside it is a very large building but once we were inside, I was surprised at how small the museum area actually was. Luckily the fee to enter is small. The contents are very impressive. The sheer amount of antique fire engines that are pristinely restored is enough to knock your socks off. There is firehouse memorabilia and artifacts everywhere the eye can see and beyond. They even have a kids area with themed coloring pages and toys that they can play with. My four year old especially loved playing with the toy fire trucks. The museum also includes a modest gift shop area with reasonably priced souvenirs. You can spend a good couple of hours pouring over each item and reading all the information posted. Out front is a playground and a couple more fire engines that you can climb on for some really cute photo ops.

FYI this place is about a half mile away from the cowboy museum that’s diagonally across on the highway so can pack in a day of sightseeing (and FYI if you buy your ticket online for cowboy museum you can pair up tickets with the Indian history center and save $10 a person ).

This museum leaves a little bit to be desired if I’m being honest, I feel like maybe they could go a little more in depth or have a short biography about the locally (and some globally) famous characters that line the walls. There is one area/exhibit that expands upon a few of those more well known Oklahomans and gets a little interactive but as for the rest of the inductees, it’s mostly their name and portrait. I personally feel a little more background behind what led them to be chosen for the prestigious halls would greatly increase the interest for some people. In one room there was a print out that instructed you to surmise what was interesting or what made the subject famous by the context clues in the backgrounds of their portraits but that seems like something one would do more at an art museum than at a historical museum. As far as the children’s wing/exhibit (perfect for kids aged 2-10) they’ve done a fantastic job and even offered a story time the day we were there. They also have a great gift shop which almost completely hosts Oklahoma made products.

This place is magical in every way! We will come here anytime and everytime we are in OKC. Most places kids go they are restricted on what they can touch and where they can go and there are all these limitations. Those limitations melt away as soon as you enter this place. It's so great for their developing brains! It was pretty fun, me and my friend went for a field trip. It was a really cool place, with lots to see and do. The only downside though is if you get headaches/overstimulated easily to be careful, as there's quite a bit of bright/flashing lights, and some noise.

We had such a great time at the Oklahoma City Zoo! Our group included seven adults, a 3-year-old, and an 11-month-old—and we were all able to get in for just $150. Such a great value for a full day of fun, especially with our extended family joining us.
The zoo itself is beautiful, clean, and impressively large—we didn’t even make it through the whole thing before it was time for nap time! We especially appreciated the interactive stations set up throughout the park, where friendly zoo staff shared info about the animals and let us touch things like a real zebra pelt. It was a great way to keep everyone, kids and adults alike, engaged and learning.
The variety of animals was wonderful, and we were happy to see the animals in large, thoughtfully designed enclosures. My son was completely captivated by an ostrich that followed us along the fence—definitely his favorite moment of the day! I personally loved watching the red pandas—they were so fun to see up close.
While we didn’t eat lunch at the zoo, we saw plenty of people enjoying generous portions, and I have to say—the chicken tenders looked surprisingly good (and I don't usually say that about zoo food!). We also noticed a few spots offering adult beverages throughout the park, which was a nice bonus for a relaxing stroll.
There were also plenty of fun photo opportunities scattered around the zoo, which made for great memories and some adorable family pics.
All in all, we had a fantastic visit and would definitely recommend the OKC Zoo to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly adventure!

The bathrooms could be cleaners and the supplies could be stocked more frequently and more misters. But other than that the facility is clean, the animals seem healthy and tended to. The indoor area is also open to the public but $10.50/adult. Taking a look at it from the outside it is clear that it is not that big. We were in town a few days and planned to visit this house one morning. I love historic buildings and history so I was excited.
We tried buying tickets and booking online, but there was not a place to actually book tours. We had a great time visiting the Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion! The place has such a nostalgic and historical feel — walking through it really takes you back in time. The mansion itself is beautiful, and you can tell how well they’ve preserved it.
The only downside was that we weren’t able to go upstairs. We paid $25 per adult for the full experience, but the upper level was blocked off. The tour guide explained it was for safety reasons since they didn’t want too many people on the staircase at once, which I understand — but based on the crowd size that day, I think it would’ve been fine. This place is absolutely beautiful. We had our wedding here after coming to tour/visit a few months previous. We came back for engagement pics and to tour it a couple more times before the wedding (even after hours). Kelly is wonderful to work with and so accommodating. Wedding options to fit any budget as well as amenities included (tables, chairs, arch...). Plenty of options to get married on grounds and for reception spot. We chose the barn for the reception. Merica was the lady the day of our wedding and she was super friendly and patient as we picked up and put things back in place. Highly recommend the venue for wedding/celebration and when they are open to visit for their many public times to visit though out the year.

I absolutely love Harn Homestead!
The first time we met Kelly she worked around our schedules to give us a tour of the homestead. She explained everything we needed to know and even gave us recommendations as we began planning our wedding.
We were able to take our engagement pictures on site with no extra cost. Kelly and her team were very flexible on letting us schedule a time do come out and do them. There are so many great places to take photos.
The day before our wedding we threw them a curve ball last minute and added an extra hour and they were so accommodating and understanding.
Then came our wedding day on 9/24/23. Kelly and her team had great communication and they were a huge help the day of. Merica was on sight with us and provided great customer service, helped direct people as well as vendors on where to go, and kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and a staff of amazing women to help.
The price was outstanding and the customer service was incredible throughout the entire process. We are so pleased and couldn’t have picked a better place to do our wedding! I highly recommend Harn Homestead and their incredible staff!

It's a historical society landmark with the armory being used for a variety of events. The last event I went to was recognizing some veterans for their service but while that was going on they still allowed one into the building. Just a variety of displays. Great place to visit! My son and I came here for the first time for their Halloween stuffed animal sleepover and we had so much fun! He has already asked to go back. If you have kids under 38 inches just known there are like 4 rides. Food is about $16 drinks are like $5 or they have a cup you can refill for free but it's $20. The Diamondback is finally up and running again, and the Renegade Rapids would be better if they turned the waterfall back on. This is not a huge six flags park which for me is nice as I was able to go, spent a few hours and ride what I wanted to. This park is SMALL, I’ve seen bigger Walmart parking lots then the parking lot for SFFC. if you have a season pass and in the area it’s a decent place to stop to get a few ride credits but I wouldn’t recommend traveling more then an hour to the park or buy a day ticket. The entire park has a western theme. There is a quick western show on the main plaza about 15min before rope drop & they have a decent stunt show with the same actors a few times a day. Keep your eyes on the guy with the long red hair to see the best falls.
the coasters seem slow in the morning when they 1st start up but have some decent (not great) speed and forces later in the day. Every employee I ran into seemed to be enjoying their time working.

There is so much history to see here! My husband and I took our kids to see the museum, and it is worth the drive to see everything they have! There was no charge to view the museum, no charge for parking, and there is much to see inside and outside of the museum!

I do recommend having between an hour to two hours to be able to tour through the plethora of history they have here, so that it can be enjoyed and not rushed through. We visited while in the area, very nice collection of Military History. You can start inside and visit through the years of the Military and the different war campaigns. They have arms from the 1800s to the modern day. They have a hall dedicated to Medal of Honor recipients. Very nice layouts with volunteers that will give you more detail information if you desire. Outside is also included which has large military vehicles, tanks, airplanes and helicopters. They are open until 4:15pm everyday and closed on Mondays. They have a nice gift shop. This place is awesome! I was aware that the 45th Infantry was involved in the Liberation of Dachau prior to coming, but I learned so much more about the 45th as a whole. Terrific adventure! We were welcomed and introduced to the exhibits by the wonderful staff members. Place does not charge you any fees but offers a variety of different presentations. Before you even enter the museum’s building, there is plenty of military vehicles and aircrafts. I wasn’t able to catch his name, my family and I were running a bit late at the beginning, but he did wonderful running the workshop! I stopped in this museum on whim during my lunch break. I loved it! It had some neat items, but by far, the best part was the curator - George. He worked for Bell for about 30 years (starting in 1955) and his father started in 1915 (at age 15) and worked at the company for 50 years! He was a wealth of information and I greatly enjoyed what he had to share. George was the true treason of this museum. Highly recommend.
