The one i went to at 1pm on a Monday was historic based. It was sitting or standing for most of it, not too much walking involved. The cold part of the tour only lasted about 15 minutes. You can't really self explore here (we got there an hour and a half early but there was nothing to see until the tour started so we ended up getting lunch while we waited for the tour to start).
