Prior to Monarca turning into a 'supper club' it served food that bursted with flavour. Since the transition the quality of food has deteriorated significantly. The hostess asked us twice if we've been helped even though it was her who initially helped us. We ordered bottle service and the male server spilled a jug of juice on one of our guests. The worst experience was witnessing a male patron be kicked out of the venue by the bouncers (not sure why). They beat him so bad he was laying on the side of the venue outside without any help. There was a girl yelling for a first aid kit to help the man but the workers just ignored her. He was laying outside covered in blood for 15 ish minutes. I would avoid this place at all costs. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. I get that price of supplies and labour have gone up but I feel like the quality of the burger and flavours this time weren't worth the price tag of almost $15. (And this is without fries!) It wasn't bad per se but it wasn't fantastic either. It was just okay. It seemed to lack fresh flavours and you can see from the photo there's no lettuce. The flavours of their mayo sauce and fried onions with the bacon and cheese all kind of blended together and lacked any contrast. The buns weren't anything special either. Even if they didn't add any fresh ingredients like shredded cabbage or carrot, what would've helped is if they charred the beef patties a bit and properly caramelize the onions to give the burger a more diverse flavour profile. Previous visits, I don't think I was this disappointed. I think I'll go elsewhere the next time I crave a burger, you don't get a whole lot of value here for your money anymore.
