Weekday Mass is at 12:10pm, giving you just enough time to head over during the noon break.

My wife Mary and I selected the Elks Tower Ballroom as the venue for our wedding reception. The entire experience leading up to and during the reception vastly exceeded our expectations! This is in no small part due to Kristine Ayers, the Ops Manager for the Elks who we primarily liaised with. Kristine is pleasant, punctual, and professional; moreover, she pushed hard to make our various requests for the reception a reality at every turn, which was a huge relief and validated our choice of the Elks Tower for our reception.
Kristine is wonderful, but so is the Elks Tower itself! We wanted a Gatsby-esque/art deco aesthetic for our reception, and the Elks Tower Ballroom was the perfect, elegant venue to make that possible. What’s more, the Elks Tower is able to provide many beautiful vendor items effortlessly, which simplified the planning process. In particular, the food we selected was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about it: some are still doing so!

We just hosted a company holiday party here. I cannot say enough good things about it. The space is gorgeous and is perfectly constructed to accommodate groups of all sizes. We had less than 150 people so we just used the lower level of the ballroom, but the upper level balconies could have made it easy to host a group much larger. Kristine and Sabrina were great. During a heatwave that extended into the weekend, I was trying to think of a family activity/outing that would keep us cool. My 13 year old (who has a fondness for art & history) suggested that we visit the Crocker Art Museum. It was built by one of the richest person in America in those days and also a governor. It has clean restrooms, paid street side parking and can buy tickets onsite too. I love Old Sac. But the Eagle Theater is not worth a special trip. It's an old dusty building. If you are on a guided tour, the stories and the history they talk about are a plus. The people that work there are passionate about what they do . I have only had positive experiences with them.
Visit Old Sac and patronize the vendors. I'm always surprised that it's not more crowded when I visit. If they are having an event like a play or film please be aware they have authentic wooden benches for seating and the restroom is outside the building. We had talked to another architect that was going to draw the whole plan including adu for about 23k where Donald's comes out to about 40k since he has the secret sauce and charges for garages also? (Apparently that's not a thing amongst other architects :) We met with Donald for the initial consult and I gave him a drawing of what I had in mind and he boasted about how I'm lucky to be working with him that he's so good and so on... (should've been my first warning) then as he went back and forth he kept saying how what I wanted wasn't doable and kept changing the plans and what I wanted. He knew better and I should listen to him and so on. Somehow I wanted a 3500 sqft home but based on his lengthy experience that wasn't doable and I needed a 4100 sqft home? I didn't know what I wanted but he knew better.
Anyways fast forward, we decided that we no longer wanted to build and will be going a different direction. BOOM all of a sudden Donald disappears. Keep in mind that prior to this he'd constantly email us like a used car sales man to come see him and he has ideas etc including weekend and late at night. Once I said I'm no longer building he just disappeared and stopped responding. His secretary took a week to get back to me and at the end they want to charge me $4800+ for a drawing that I can do in a matter of minute on a 11x14 legal sheet.
The guy is nothing but a self loathing ego maniac and the moment he heard a no he turned into a whole different person and in turn wants to charge me 18 hours of work at 275/hr!
So yea do your research find someone reputable that's Not gonna nickel and dime or get their feelings hurt in a business environment.

Mike over-promised and under-delivered. This company will not disclose all of your cost upfront but will accept your money down then up-sell you throughout the process. This review is for the kind man that I spoke with on the phone 1/23/2024. Unfortunately I did not get his name. Long story short, a very important piece of mail that contained a check for $4,000, was accidentally addressed and mailed to the wrong business. I looked up the address the check had been mistakenly mailed to Aedis Architects. I rolled the dice and made a call to their office and explained my dilemma. I know it was a long shot but I asked if there was a piece of mail with the certain business name, and that it would have arrived around this certain timeframe. The gentleman said he’d take a look and call me back.
A few hours later I received a call from the certain company the check was supposed to go to and the envelope with the check had been dropped off. I was speechless. This man is an absolute angel. I can’t thank him enough for helping me and by going the extra mile for a complete stranger. He didn’t even call me back to say I found it and I dropped it off. He could have just returned to sender or thrown it out thinking it was junk mail.
This speaks volumes for the type of people that work at this firm. His actions truly touched my soul and showed me that there really are good, honest, and genuine people out there that will help a stranger when they don’t have to. Thank you so much 😊
