Monte San Salvatore is a landmark peak that offers a mountaintop village with stunning views of the lake, hiking trails, and a cable car for easy access. Nearby attractions include Monte Bre, Gotthard Pass, and the ancient Olive Trail for walking or cycling enthusiasts. The area also boasts river rafting opportunities and cultural wonders in Bellinzona, Gandria, and the San Grato Botanical Park.
Mount San Salvatore is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking breathtaking panoramic views of Lugano. We opted to hike the trail to the summit, and we highly recommend this choice. The approximately 7-kilometer trek is filled with stunning scenery at every turn, showcasing the diverse landscapes and lush greenery of the region. While the funicular provides a quick route to the top, hiking allows you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty, making for a more intimate and memorable experience. Along the way, you'll encounter charming viewpoints that invite you to pause and take in the surroundings. Reaching the summit is incredibly rewarding, as you'll be treated to sweeping vistas of Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains. It's a perfect spot for photography or simply soaking in the tranquility. For those interested, there are also nearby cafés where you can relax and enjoy a refreshment. Overall, hiking Mount San Salvatore is not just an adventure; it’s a journey that enriches your appreciation for this beautiful region.

One of my favourite place. The view was breathtaking from the top. We took the funicular and changed in another funicular to the peak. We got charged cfh50 for 1 adult and 3 kids for return and chf47 for one way with ticino tickets discount which i think is not right. We decided to walked all the way down. Not recommended with young children.
Chan T — Google review
Must visit here. Trek will take at least 2 hours. Or use the funicular. Runs every 30 mins. I saw some children and parents climbing the trek. They did well.
Claire T — Google review
Monte San Salvatore is an absolute must-do if you're in the Lugano area. I went up on a day when the weather wasn't ideal, so the visibility wasn't perfect, but the experience was still incredible. The funicular ride up is a treat in itself, offering some great views on the way. Once you get to the top, it's easy to see why this spot is so famous. The panoramic view is simply stunning. Even with bad visibility, you get a beautiful perspective of Lugano, the sparkling lake, and the surrounding mountains. The feeling of being up there, with that vast landscape stretched out before you, is truly special, it's incredibly peaceful and awe-inspiring. I could have spent hours just soaking it all in. There are also a couple of restaurants at the top, and a short walk to a church that's worth checking out. If you're looking for a relatively easy trip with a massive payoff in terms of scenery and a feeling of pure tranquility, this is the place. I highly recommend it.
Μάριος — Google review
We wanted to see the famous San Salvatore and we loved the amazing view. It is breathtaking. Especially that the weather was amazing. Yet, we found the funicular too expensive. Once you are up, we can take a picnic and seat there to enjoy the view or you can eat at the restaurant. If you like to hike, then I would recommend to walk all the way down (2h approx).
Davina D — Google review
Worth visiting, funicular is going up every 30 minutes and it's 50% with the Swiss Travel Pass or some other discount tickets. You can also hike all the way up, it is approximately 2 hours of hiking. Lovely view of the lakes and the region, Lugano is also worth exploring especially during summer.
Azer J — Google review
In order to get here you need to reach Paradiso Stazione and then take the funicular, the ticket for which is 32 CHF return (Ticino cards offer discounts). The funicular is every 30 minutes. The view to Monte San Salvatore is absolutely stunning and what I like the best is that the place is accessible for elderly people who have difficulties walking. Before getting here you may want to check any of the web cams available online to see if weather is suitable. When you get off at the upper station of the funicular the distance you need to walk to the main viewing platform is not more than 5-10 min. There is a cafe there. From there you can do a short trek (20 min. the most) and you can reach a church. Climb the stairs and you will have a magnificent view.

Lake Lugano is a glacial mountain lake and resort town offering various activities such as passenger and private boat rides, dining, and shopping. The 5-star Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola sits right on the shores of the lake, surrounded by a private subtropical park. The hotel features an indoor pool, tennis court, and three restaurants serving Mediterranean dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients. Originally a noble Russian family's home, the mansion was transformed into a hotel in 1885.
It was great, because the weather was perfect, nice and sunny. If you visit Lugano, make sure you go on a sunny day. You can rent motorboats and pedalos, but you also can just enjoy a strole around the lake.

Lake Lugano is a very scenic place for a day trip. It is located near the border of Italy and Switzerland. Hence, the architecture there are so Italian and even the locals, they speak Italian. Very special!

Parco Ciani is a sprawling and exquisite park located in Lugano, offering stunning views of Lake Lugano. It is known for its manicured lawns, charming pathways, and lush greenery. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls through the park, taking in the picturesque surroundings and finding peaceful spots to relax. The park features colorful flower beds, statues, fountains, and historic landmarks such as Villa Ciani.
Beautiful park with lovely nature. It’s completely free and you can take amazing photos. It’s got some sweet colorful flowers and lots of trees. There is a small portion where you could take a little swim in the lake, perfect for a warm day of summer
Emanuela F — Google review
Parco Ciani is a delight to visit anytime of the year but particularly during the blossoming summer and spring months with all the colorful flowers and clear refreshing lugano lake that looks like a scene out of a fairy tale dream. The place is family friendly, yet very romantic and has all the amenities visitors might need from free public toilets which are clean and usable, to gelato and coffee sellers during good weather ... its a place to relax and unwind at the very heart of the beautiful city of lugano overlooking its majestic lake.
Amr A — Google review
So beautiful and colourful! You can spencer the whole day there! Mountains, łąkę, flowers, palm trees in the park. Places where you can sit and just admire what is around you! At the beginning of July the water in the łąkę was very warm🙂

I really enjoyed visiting the park, it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot to spend some time.

Lovely park, magnificent scenery right on the beautiful lake with plenty of flowers. Don’t miss while in Lugano.

Absolutely beautiful park with views towards Lugano lake. You can rest on a bench and admire the nature. The park is well maintained with flowers and green grass. Ducks are wandering. No entrance fee. Close to the park entrance is a gate where lots of people stop and take pictures. Beware of homeless people - we had interaction with one asking for money but he was not dangerous.

Located in the village of Melide, between Lugano and Morcote, Swissminiatur is a family-friendly attraction established in 1959. The open-air museum spans 14,000 square meters and showcases 128 miniaturized versions of Switzerland's landmarks including the Heidi Village, castles like Burgdorf and Chillon, and the Federal Parliament in Bern. Visitors can also witness 18 model trains running on approximately 3.
Super cute place to go walk around and get a glimpse of “Switzerland”. Great for kids to enjoy too they have a cafe and a gift shop as well as a ride on train. Super cute good for the money. You can spend as little or as long as you want there
Kami P — Google review
This is worth a visit. The kids liked it. It's not big, but it's great for 1-3 hours. It has a food station and nice cool-down water mist everywhere, as it can get hot without the shade. I expected a bit more due to the rating, but I'd still recommend it if you haven't been. There is also a small train that kids loved and an arcade where you can play all kinds of games. Also bring your swimsuits for after, Melide is beautiful and has a Lifo next to it, ot even walking 10 more minutes, an almost private strand we enjoyed and swam afterwards.
Simon — Google review
Swissminiatur is a must-visit—especially for families and travelers like me who are interested in learning more about Swiss history and culture. The place is very well-curated and organized, with plenty of infographics available in English. There’s so much to see that we actually lost track of which areas we’d already visited, but it’s easy to find your way around with the map. They truly did an amazing job creating this miniature version of Switzerland! It inspired us to visit and discover more of the country’s cantons in the future. Just to add, there’s also a café, restaurant, and ice cream shop inside. The staff are very kind and accommodating too, which made the visit even better. We went on a weekday, and since it was a rainy day, there weren’t many people around. It actually made the visit even more relaxing. We got to explore at our own pace and take photos without the crowd.
BA — Google review
Great fun. We spent almost 90 minutes walking round here to see everything it has to offer. Lots of models of places of interest in Switzerland, with trains running throughout the whole display. Make sure you hang around the bobsleigh model for a few minutes to see it in action.
Rob F — Google review
Great park to visit with your children, with the condition to not be in a rainy day as everything is outside. They have a snack and a small shop inside. Very close to the train station. You can get a discount with the Ticino ticket provided by your hotel, plus with this Ticino ticket you get free train trips so no need to take the car.

Not to miss if you go to Ticino! Been there as a kid and now with my kids. Amazing replicas of Swiss landmarks, a great way for discovering next trip ideas and spend an afternoon wondering in a beautiful place learning about Switzerland and appreciating the work of passionate craftsmenship.

Specialty Museums
The Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola is a popular attraction in Ticino, dedicated to the life of German writer Hermann Hesse. Located in Montagnola, it was established in 1997 at the Camuzzi Tower, adjacent to the author's first residence in the area. The museum offers a permanent exhibition that provides insight into Hesse's initial years during his four-decade stay in Ticino.
Perfect holistic experience with a serene atmosphere and great range of exhibits and experiences. I especially loved the resident tortoise. I feel like I spent a day with my old friend Hesse after visiting. My only minor wish is for there to be an English guide for the top-floor 1yr temporary exhibits as there is for the rest of the museum - but this is only a personal wish, it would be entitled of em to expect English when Italian & German are the more dominant languages there, and it is only a smallish establishment with a small team of (very committed) staff. I only mention it in case there's some path for the museum to get extra funding for such translation work for future temporary exhibits. I feel totally inspired and at peace in my heart after visiting this place. Montagnola and the museum are a little bit of paradise on Earth. If you've got any interest in any of Hesse's work then you have to make a pilgrimage here.

Pascal F — Google review
Well while it's amazing to visit the place where some of the best literature ever written was born, unfortunately it's not very tourist friendly. The entire museum is mostly mementos and texts but no English language anywhere. What a shame considering the importance of Hesse to the entire world.
Giedrius A — Google review
It’s not spectacular, but it’s a treasure if you like Herman Hesse and his writings. The museum is well situated, but it could benefit from a more modern approach. One has the feeling that there isn’t a coherent story told with the exhibition, that there are too many things crammed into a relatively small space, certainly all aspects of Hesse’s life, but the take home message is missing. On the other hand, this doesn’t matter if you like to discover small details and find out new things about the author.
Adrian S — Google review
This review is only for the “Footsteps of Hermann Hesse walk” which is about 1 hours around the museum. If you prefer not to walk along main streets with car traffic then I don’t recommend this walk. I went on this walk with my baby and my dog but ended up turning around when I realised a significant portion of the walk is on narrow sidewalks on trafficked streets. I was expecting a more pedestrian dedicated path but this isn’t what I found. I’m sure the museum is lovely and I would like to visit once it’s open again (closed now for the season) I hope I don’t affect or confuse the grade of the walk with the experience at the museum but couldn’t find where to review the path on Google.

Churches & Cathedrals
Chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angioli is a small Catholic church with a bell tower and frescoes in the nave. Its construction began in 1499, and it features a more modest facade compared to Lugano Cathedral. However, it is home to some of Switzerland's most renowned Renaissance artwork, including 'Passion and Crucifixion' by Bernardo Luini, a disciple of Leonardo da Vinci.
A beautiful church with very old (medieval) frescoes. A must visit while in Lugano. Can be visited daily but not during the masses or concerts. Masses are at 5.30pm on Saturday and 10:30am and 5pm on Sundays. Before the mass on Saturday at 5pm and mass on Sunday at 4:30pm there's an organ concert of classical music for free. The church is open every day from 8:30am till 6pm. There's a lot written in the church to explain the frescoes or one can book a guided tour.
Agnes W — Google review
I visited Chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angioli mainly for the famous fresco and it truly lived up to the hype. The artwork by Bernardino Luini took my breath away. From the outside it looks simple, but inside, it’s unforgettable.

Beautiful church. You'll be surprised when you hear the story about the paintings inside
Alberto M — Google review
If you enjoy art, do not miss the most significant Renaissance fresco in Switzerland within the Santa Maria degli Angioli church (cornerstone laid in 1499). Painted by a local artist Bernardino Luini (b1480) in 1529, just three years before he died. The church contains a description (in Italian) outlining the meaning of the different figures in this wall size fresco. This church was founded by Reformed Followers of St. Francis beginning with Brother Silvesti in 1439 during a tumultuous time for the region. Problems included the ongoing fight between the Guelphs & Ghibellines (Pope Supporters vs Roman Emperor supporters), the territorial disputes between aristocrats and the onset of the plaque. The church is not encrusted with gold but rather embodies a calmness one usually associates with the divine. For that and providing written historical context to educate the visitor, I gave it 5 starts
Nancylee S — Google review
Absolutely stunning views and the most quaint little church. Would recommend the visit and a visit inside the church. We were very privileged to see how Italian people live in this stunning place.

Beautiful modern building right on the lake in downtown Lugano. Beautiful vistas from every window… not to mention the great exhibits. Spent a lovely morning there and then you can have coffee in the courtyard cafe!

This art center never disappoints. The natural lighting and high-ceiling spaciousnesses encourages an inner calm and bolsters the ability to reflect. It is the opposite of most places in an urban environment, so you are invited to slow down. The events and artists are absolutely top quality and the acoustics for musical performances is good. I will get a season pass for 2023 for sure. It’s just such a good place to spend time.

The exposition on Ernst Scheidegger resonated deeply with me and I greatly enjoyed it. (Streams of Spleen on the other hand, not so much). The staff was lovely, there is storage for coats and other personal items, and entry is free with the Swiss Pass.

Beautiful architecture, amazing collection at the museum store. Sad to have missed the surrealism exhibition earlier this year. Staff were friendly, especially Robert who took time to chat :) Free Wi-fi for guests! Museum indoor cafe was closed sadly, but tables were great for working, nice open areas. They also regularly have free concerts.

Chocolat Alprose SA, located in Caslano, is a must-visit for chocolate enthusiasts. Visitors can observe the chocolate-making process through glass windows on weekdays and indulge in complimentary tastings at the shop. The factory also houses a small museum that delves into the history of chocolate production.
Taking a peak into chocolate factory for €5 and getting very reasonably priced chocolate- yes please 👍🏻 Via elevated platforms you can watch the process of chocolate manufacturing, then there is one room with a quick history of chocolate, and by the end there is a factory shop with really well-priced chocolate of all sorts. A dream come true for chocolate lovers (which I believe is 99% of the planet). And staff is super friendly and speak English. I'll be back!
Jack W — Google review
The Alprose Chocolate Museum is small but charming. When we visited, the factory wasn’t operating, so we didn’t get to see the chocolate being made in real time, which was a bit disappointing. However, they do show interesting videos about the history of chocolate and how it’s made, which makes up for it in a way! 📽️✨ Right at the entrance, there’s a fun chocolate fountain that sets the mood perfectly – it smells amazing and definitely gets you in the chocolate spirit! 🍫⛲they give you a taste of it, of course 😋 At the end of the visit, you get to enjoy some chocolate tastings (yum!), and there’s a cute shop where you can buy all kinds of delicious Swiss chocolates to take home. 🛍️🍬 Overall, it’s a short and sweet experience, great for chocolate lovers and families. If you’re in the area and craving something sweet, it’s definitely worth a quick visit!
Stav T — Google review
Many years after my last visit, I went there again. The small museum basically is the same, however, they charge for it now. The tasting options in the shop have been reduced significantly. Still a nice short stop close to Lugano.
Marius — Google review
We arrived an hour before it is closed. Usually you would see the employee working if arrived before 4 o’clock so by 4 o’clock, we only had one hour to walk our self through the factory, but it’s worth it. You’d see the history of chocolate and the progress of the chocolate from being drunk to being eight and the creation of the molds . It was interesting to see the. Ceramic dishes which was used for chocolate by notability before chocolate was available for all people. It was buy to buy some chocolates on July because we eventually get all our chocolate melted however, I ate it anyway 😅
The N — Google review
For 5 CHF You get a nice little tour at the factory with some sqmple tasting. If you're in the area, you should stop by.
Yuval Y — Google review

Davina D — Google review
Small factory but the chocolate is very good!
Dorothy K — Google review
In my opinion, visiting the Alprose Chocolate Factory is not really worth it. The place is very small, and there’s no real reason to pay an entrance fee for something you can easily buy anywhere else. If you still decide to go, you can take the S60 train from Lugano FLP to Caslano Station, then walk about 150 meters to reach the factory. Personally, I recommend spending your time enjoying the beauty of Lugano and its surroundings instead, especially since the production lines are not operating on weekends, which makes the visit quite limited. Save your time to explore the city and buy chocolate whenever you like without extra costs.

I came to play poker tournament. It was dissapointing. The building looks eerie and rundown. There wasn’t enough staff. They speak little English. The tournament organization was poor—lots of delays, and the halls were scattered across different floors. The floors weren’t well connected because some elevators weren’t working. I felt like I was playing in a warehouse. For casino registration, they require a fingerprint, which is outrageous. I won’t be coming back, and many other players share the same opinion.

An imposing and decried architectural horror which is the largest casino in Europe but somewhat spoils the magnificent coastline in Lac de Lugano. Originally created during the First World War in 1917, he closed the first time in between the two world war suspected of having been created mainly for Italian espionage in Switzerland. He was reopened in 1933 under the leadership of Benito Mussolini. Then in the second part of the 20th century, the casino has a reputation of a "Italian Las Vegas" which allows the city to prosperous thanks to its casino. More recently, the casino moved to new premises in 2007, those that we see today designed by the Swiss architect Mario Botta, which is very criticized for their appearance ! Declared bankrupt in 2018. 492 jobs (in a commune of 1860 residents) were deleted. Bankruptcy is due to too much debt contracted by the casino, a loss of speed concerning new game technologies, and to the fact that almost 50% of its income fuel the public finances of the municipality of Campione. After this bankruptcy, Mario Botta states that having designed this building without thinking about a different use of a casino was a mistake ... Finally, the casino was reopened to the public in 2022.

The Cathedral of Saint Lawrence, also known as Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, is a captivating Roman Catholic cathedral located in Lugano. This historical landmark dates back to the 9th century and showcases a remarkable fusion of Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Visitors are drawn to its imposing facade and beautiful bell tower that can be seen from various vantage points across the city. Inside, the cathedral boasts intricate mosaic tiles, exquisite frescoes, and an impressive altar.
Question: Why people like this city too much? One reason could be this church tower. It makes unbelievable breathtaking views. With every type of weather, this picture and this place make people relax all the time. When you go out from train in Lugano train station, you will face this nature and landscape. I always invite people to this beautiful city. Also name of the city is so cool. Lugano 😁 , actually it was name of a soccer player in Fenerbahce 20 years ago…
Mumin S — Google review
Why do so many people love this city? Good Question One standout reason is the stunning church tower, which offers breathtaking views that captivate visitors regardless of the weather. This picturesque setting provides a sense of tranquility and relaxation, making it a perfect escape. Upon arriving at the Lugano train station, you’re immediately greeted by the stunning natural beauty and landscapes that define the area. I always encourage friends and family to visit this charming city. Plus, the name "Lugano" itself has a nice ring to it—fun fact: it was also the name of a soccer player from Fenerbahçe two decades ago! Additionally, the beautiful architecture surrounding the station, both inside and out, adds to the city's appeal, making Lugano a must-visit destination.

Nestled between the stunning landscapes of Lake Como and Lake Lugano, Villa Fogazzaro Roi stands as a magnificent testament to 19th-century aristocratic life. This beautifully preserved mansion is not just a feast for the eyes with its exquisite paintings and furnishings; it also offers visitors a glimpse into the historical charm of the era. Surrounded by lush gardens, this villa was once home to writer Antonio Fogazzaro, who found inspiration here for his renowned novel 'Piccolo mondo antico.'
We went there on the special day of FAI which was supposed to be free of charge, but they asked us to donate at least 5€ per person and at the end didnt show us the whole building floors. The building was Beautiful and located on a mesmerizing place.

A visit to the ancien holiday maison of an Italian influential writer, which was lately used by his grandson Marquis Roi - a great collector of cigars, board games, books,….a lover of symmetric decoration,….gives us an insight of of the intellectual and bourgeois class of the 19th and 20th century. That inspires me a lot. The visit was accompanied by a friendly guide just a little regrets of not having enough time to wandering and looking more in detail the books, the furnitures the decorations there.

Anna H — Google review
Even if you know nothing about the author whose villa this originally was, the place is quite beautiful AND the last owner’s insistence that place be kept just as he left it, with all of his possessions in place, means that it is an incredible window into the world of a certain class of people in the latter half of the 19th c. The villa is beautifully kept and the volunteer docents are amazing.... by all means combine a visit here with lunch at the incredible Osteria De Cin in Claino across the lake. Not to be missed!
Ken K — Google review
Very attractive multilevel house with exquisite 19th century upper middle class furnishing and decor. Superb views out across the lake. Guided tours only, with some English translation if necessary. Some road parking on the road up to Castello but in good weather it may be better to park in Albogasio where there is more parking and a pleasant cafe for refreshments, and walk 10 mins along the "old" main road now bypassed by the tunnel. Easier to find than it might appear on a map! Guided tours are necessarily small due to room sizes so you may have an extended wait. Admission a little steep at €17 but free to UK National Trust members. No catering on site, or in the immediate area. Lots of lovely places to sit and wait and shelter available in the adjacent church.

Chiesa Santa Maria del Sasso is a 15th-century church located in Morcote, offering stunning views of Lake Lugano and a serene environment. The church features beautiful architecture and religious imagery, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. The surrounding area includes a scenic walking path leading to the church, with panoramic views of Lago di Lugano and southern Ticino.
A must stop place to emerge into a peaceful and serendipity place. Not a bad hike up the panorama view. There is a swing that overlook Italy 🇮🇹. Before that, you would passing by the most beautiful and compassionate statue of Ava Maria.
Tin N — Google review
Amazing place that you can reach by climbing beautiful stairs so you can enjoy the view and finally the church comes as a reward ! Founded by the Order of Antonins in 1300, the Sant’Antonio Abate church down below could no longer welcome its many faithful. The inhabitants of Morcote remembered the small votive chapel located at the foot of the mountain, above the houses, where a stone statue was found in 1313 representing the Virgin. The Santa Maria Del Sasso church was built (1462-1478) in this sanctified place. The building has three novel style naves, an illusionist dome and six characteristic terracotta pillars. It experienced a transformation in the Baroque style in 1758. It is home to ancient frescoes as well as an antique organ dating from 1700. The frescoes, partly hidden by this organ, are attributed to Domenico suisnicus circa 1513 and represent scenes from the Passion of Christ : on the right the garden of olive trees and on the left, the Cross path. On the front wall, you can see the crucifixion and, on the vault, episodes of the genesis. The oldest frescoes of the church, which are on the vault of edges and on the arch, were painted shortly after the end of its construction which dated from 1480-1490. They represent the Eternal Father, Saint Augustine, Saint Thomas of Aquin. Their great value is due to their quality and their originality in the history of Lombard art. The six figures of saints painted in the arch of the central nave are attributed to Domenico de Montorfano.

The climb is steep but it's well worth the effort. Beautiful church outside and inside. Lots of historic frescoes, some of which have been restored to their full glory. The view on the lake is breathtaking. Walking down from the north side you'll arrive at the top of the Scherrer park.
Geert C — Google review
This is a place where you truly earn the reward. As one of my favorite views from a church ever, the infinite steps to the top were totally worth the effort! The climb is a journey in itself, a beautiful monumental staircase. The final destination, the Chiesa Santa Maria del Sasso, is perched high above Lake Lugano, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the water, the old town, and the surrounding mountains. It's an incredible vantage point that leaves a lasting impression. Beyond the view, the church itself is a serene and impressive place. It has a beautiful history, with roots dating back to the 15th century, and features ancient frescoes and an antique organ from the 1700s. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere inside provides a perfect contrast to the energetic climb. This is a must-visit for anyone in the area who appreciates history, architecture, and a truly epic view. Just remember to bring your walking shoes, water and be ready for a rewarding workout!

This church, located in Via Nassa, was built in the seventeenth century and has a beautiful baroque portal. Inside, two vaults and Corinthian pilasters along the walls. On the triumphal arch, you can see two angels representing prestigious stucco, and in the center, a painting of the patron saint. On the cross vault of the chancel is an Apotheosis of St. Charles Borromeo, surrounded by stucco decorations. The statue of the Virgin on the marble altar dating from the eighteenth century. The altar framed with stucco angels has a beautiful painting, which can be attributed to G. A. Pettrini and represents the Handover to St. Peter (1730). In a side chapel is a paiting of the "Pietà" (seventeenth century). The facade of the church was restored in 2001. Inside is also a Via Crucis in bronze of sculptor Nag Arnoldi. (Ticino.ch)

(Translated by Google) The review concerns the management of the neighborhood itself and not the individual shops within it, which are worth a visit. For several years now the spirit of Q. M. has been lost. You feel that something is missing, life, people, love. Too much speculation. I repeat: it's not the fault of the shopkeepers who are just trying to get by like everyone else.

Fabulous Lugano! a welcoming piece of heaven
Mona B — Google review
The idea of a group of people running Lugano with the ideology and town planning with such little intelligence and sensitivity for the basic good is overbearing at times. The council of Lugano should be ashamed! Cutting down 20 + trees to fix some holes in the pavements on the front of the lake. Stupidity at its finest.
