The Peninsula Tokyo is a luxurious high-rise hotel located in the prestigious business district of Marunouchi, offering stunning views of the city and sophisticated facilities. The hotel boasts traditional Japanese design elements and world-class hospitality, with an impressive lobby designed to resemble a Japanese lantern. Guests can indulge in masterful kaiseki meals, enjoy local artwork, relax at the high-end ESPA spa, and experience luxurious room amenities.
From the very first moment of our arrival, The Peninsula Tokyo exceeded all of our expectations and made our stay truly unforgettable. The service is on an absolutely world-class level. Every team member we interacted with – from the concierge to the spa staff to housekeeping – treated us with such warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Small details and thoughtful gestures made us feel not only welcome, but truly valued as guests. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort imaginable. The attention to detail in both design and amenities is remarkable, and the quality of the bedding, furniture, and technology reflects true luxury. The spa was another highlight – a serene space offering deep relaxation and an exceptional level of service. After our treatments, we left feeling completely renewed and cared for. The location of the hotel is also excellent, with easy access to Ginza, the Imperial Palace gardens, and many of Tokyo’s best shopping and dining experiences. What truly sets The Peninsula Tokyo apart, however, is the way the staff makes you feel. It is not just about luxury or convenience – it is about the personal touches and the feeling of being genuinely looked after. This combination of elegance, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality makes The Peninsula Tokyo one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. We would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking to experience Tokyo at its best.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay as a couple with a 10 months baby. Starting from arrival to the end of the trip, the Peninsula Tokyo has exceeded our expectations. Every little detail of the experience is curated and thought out, making sure to answer every need of the guests. The concierge service was phenomenal.. They've helped us reserve and coordinate multiple services and restaurants prior to our arrival, making sure all of the details are figured out for us and communicating everything in detail. The room service was great, offering amazing food options for babies (unseasoned and healthy) and high restaurant quality options for adults. The Lobby restaurant was out of this world, while the food is great, the staff made our 10 months old feel like a first class citizen, catering to her every need/want. The spa experience was really great. The location is amazing, very walkable but also far away from the Tokyo craziness. I can't say a single bad word about the entire stay, 10/10 would recommend and will surely come back again.

Great hotel! We only stayed for one night but had a lovely visit. The views from the rooftop bar (Peter: the bar) are amazing though as you would expect, the place is very busy in the evenings. Breakfast was a little hectic but the staff are so friendly and attentive that it doesn't detract from the experience too much. The hotel's location is perfect and who doesn't fall in love with the vintage Rolls Royce parked at the front of the hotel? The bell-staff / doormen were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and met our needs, even if they surprisingly felt a little dated. The beds are very comfortable!

I had a fantastic stay at The Peninsula Tokyo! The location is perfect, with easy access to major tourist attractions. The rooms are well-appointed, offering both comfort and luxury. The staff was friendly and incredibly accommodating, making my experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tokyo!

First time guests at Peninsula Tokyo. We stayed for 3 nights. The room is spacious by Japan standards. Fantastic location in Ginza. Walkable everywhere. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. I like the feeling of coming back to a quiet and calm place after a busy tiring day out. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I like the spacious double-sink bathroom and walk-in wardrobe with vanity table. The service is impeccable. There's always someone at the main entrance to welcome you and help with getting taxi. Ever ready to answer any questions or render help in any way, time or manner. The early check-in and late check-out is a bonus especially if you have odd flight times. Peninsula Tokyo is truly a 5-star experience. So impressed. Will return.

One of the most spectacular hotels worldwide. The Peninsula Tokyo’s attention to service and tradition are unmatched. We stayed here for five nights recently and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The food, amenities, rooms; everything was fantastic. There is so much to say, too much actually, about the greatness and spectacularity of the Peninsula. In fact, I would say it is the best Peninsula property out of all of them, by far — that’s saying a lot. We look forward to visiting Japan again soon, and certainly when in Tokyo we will stay here.
Jack — Google review
Very underrated hotel in Tokyo. Stayed here for over 25 days across 2 trips. Service is top notch even for Asia. Rooms are a little dated but timeless so it’s fine. Best thing about them is the layout and size is great, the separate walk in closet that doubles as a makeup/vanity is perfect for my spouse. You can pay double their nightly price and get an inferior experience in Tokyo.
Nick B — Google review
The best 5-star hotel, everything is worthy of being called a 5-star. Even if there were 6 stars, I would give it to this hotel, because why?? Because the room is clean, there is no dirt whatsoever, the bathtub is good, the room view is beautiful, the restaurant has delicious food, their staff are friendly, in short, it is suitable to be recommended.

The Tokyo Station Hotel, an iconic 1915 establishment, offers elegant rooms and suites along with refined restaurants and a spa. Its prime location makes it a convenient base for exploring Tokyo, with easy access to the upscale Ginza shopping district and other popular sightseeing areas like Akihabara and Asakusa. Nestled inside Tokyo Station, the hotel provides straightforward access from both of Tokyo's airports as well as to the Shinkansen, JR lines, and subway.
The Tokyo Station Hotel was an incredible stay. It’s surprisingly quiet for a boutique hotel located right inside the station they’ve done an excellent job at keeping the outside noise completely out. The rooms are impressively spacious, especially by Japan’s standards, and every detail feels thoughtfully designed. The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options there’s truly something for everyone. The staff were exceptional: warm, attentive, and always ready to help. It’s definitely worth the stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

This was the final stop on our two-week trip around Japan, and it couldn’t have been a better ending. The hotel's location is unbeatable—directly connected to the train station and conveniently accessible from both inside and outside the complex. The hotel itself is stunning, both inside and out. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. While they weren’t able to accommodate an early check-in, they gladly held our bags so we could explore the area while we waited. Our room was very spacious, and whether you’re facing the interior dome of the station or the city skyline, the views are a treat—perfect for people-watching and soaking in the atmosphere. The room had everything we needed: a reasonably priced minibar, a wide range of toiletries, even thoughtful extras like luggage stickers and a thermometer (which came in handy when someone in our group was feeling unwell). We tried both room service and the breakfast buffet. Room service was prompt and much better than what we’re used to in the U.S. But the real highlight was the breakfast buffet—absolutely phenomenal! The bathroom was exceptional, with a large soaking tub, a separate toilet room, and a high-tech, heated toilet seat. The Japanese truly excel when it comes to clean, functional, and luxurious restrooms. The bed was large and incredibly comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an upscale experience in a prime location.

Our stay at The Tokyo Station Hotel was a true 5-star experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable — warm, attentive, and seamless in every way. We loved the location; it had such a different energy from Shibuya, where we began our Tokyo trip. Being right inside the station made exploring the city so easy, with endless shops, restaurants, and connections just steps away. It’s the perfect jumping-off point for discovering every corner of Tokyo. An exceptional [bougie] stay.

After staying at the Osaka station hotel and being thoroughly impressed, I came in with very high standards. After seeing the bathroom and the low quality bathroom amenities, I was shocked that a 5 star hotel would offer products like that. Every JR hotel has bath salts, and there were none provided. The soap and shampoo etc looked like products in 3 or 4 star hotels in America. I avoid those products at all cost. The slippers???? Thin and crappy. Now maybe the more expensive rooms have higher quality products, but what I saw left a bad taste in my mouth. I expected better from a 5 star rated hotel. Honestly, even though I love the idea of staying at Tokyo Station, in reality, it was difficult to get to the hotel after getting off the Shinkansen. Plus the convenience of being in a Station is lowered when you realize that you can't shop and bring things back to your room because the hotel entrance is on the south side and you must have a ticket to get in or out. I cut my reservation short after 2 nights and went to a different JR hotel. It might not have been a 5 star, but it's pretty nice and they had bath salts.

A Truly Immersive Historical Experience with Minor Quirks My stay at The Tokyo Station Hotel was largely magnificent. It is more than just a hotel; it's a living museum and a stunning piece of history. The architecture and interior design are the undisputed stars. Staying here feels like a privilege. The perfect blend of the original "Tatsuno-style" red brick facade and the modern, elegant interior—like the beautiful yet minimalist glass partitions in the ground-floor restaurant that echo the Taisho-era romance—is masterful. The commitment to the theme is everywhere: from the classical European-style soft furnishings in the room and the fresh flowers adorning the long hallways to the historical photographs on the walls. Waking up to the complimentary newspaper and enjoying the exquisite breakfast buffet (which was delicious and beautifully presented) further enriched the classic, refined experience. The service is impeccable, with staff being exceptionally attentive and professional. However, a few practical points prevent a full 5-star rating. Most notably, our room's bathroom had a slight, persistent musty smell from the pipes, which is at odds with the otherwise luxurious atmosphere. Furthermore, the hotel's restaurants close quite early, meaning we were unable to have dinner in the hotel on a night we arrived late—a significant inconvenience for a luxury property. Lastly, the hotel's unique, long, linear corridor layout, while beautiful, can be a bit disorienting and easy to get lost in. Despite these quirks, the hotel's unparalleled charm and historical significance make it a highly recommended stay. I would gladly return, hoping for a room with updated plumbing and with better planning for dinner.

I was completely satisfied with your hotel from Check-In to Check-Out. Aside from that, I had a smile with the kind smiles and service of the hotel staff, as well as everything else. Specifically, the gift and photo for my birthday will be an unforgettable memory. I sincerely appreciate your hotel's service and everything that lives up to its reputation. I hope to stay at your hotel again ASAP. cf> However, the staff at "TANBAYA" seemed discriminatory. They didn't greet or serve me or my family from the moment we entered until we left. But a few seconds after, they greeted the Japanese women who came after me with a smile and kind service. My family went in to buy a gift, but was disappointed and left. My wife and son were distraught and angry. They told me that the nice image they had of the hotel from their stay for several days was far gone.
KHAN B — Google review
Truly a luxurious hotel. Beautiful rooms and staff that go the extra mile. Quiet rooms, good AC, smart TVs, lavish bathrooms. Great location. Whiskey bar and lobby lounge were great too.
Nicholas R — Google review
Everyone was exceptional. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was vast and delicious. I especially want to mention how helpful Ann Nakamoto was. We needed to change our train ticket and the JR staff was unable to help. She offered to translate for us and the JR Staff still was unable to help. Ann did not give up and she eventually found a way for us to change our ticket. We want to recognize how over and above her service was because she is a very valuable asset to the hotel.

Nestled in a high-rise building, Palace Hotel Tokyo offers stylish rooms and suites with over half featuring open-air balconies. Boasting a prime location near Tokyo Station, the hotel provides stunning views of the Imperial Palace moat and gardens. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at 10 restaurants and bars while enjoying a blend of Japanese design elements and modern comforts throughout the property. The hotel also features a spa, gym, pool, and an impressive collection of nature-inspired artwork.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for value and quality. The location is ideal - right by the Imperial Palace in a calm, refined area that feels more like NYC Upper East Side than Tokyo chaos. The hotel doesn’t try to be trendy. It’s confident in what it is: elegant and quietly luxurious. Service was faultless. Breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious and well-designed. If you’re looking for a high-end, authentic Tokyo experience that’s not overrun with tourists, this is the place. 10/10.

This hotel is outstanding - traditional values with modern amenities. Everything is perfect from the comfort of the rooms to the courteous and attentive staff. We've stayed here a couple of times and recommend staying in a room with access to the club lounge. The breakfast specials in the club lounge are sublime! The hotel location is perfect - above a metro station and just next to the Imperial Gardens. The. views from the hotel rooms are amazing.

My husband and I are currently staying here (3 nights in of an 11 night stay). The hotel itself is gorgeous, much more impressive than the website led me to expect. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. And the location sits on top of FIVE convenient train lines. We have a gorgeous little patio overlooking the park. The gym is fantastic (lots of Techno Gym equipment). And housekeeping is on point. This is a wonderful hotel, and I can't recommend it enough. What a treat to stay here!

My stay at the Palace Hotel Tokyo has been nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere here embodies a true sense of Zen, calm, balanced, and deeply soothing to the soul. Every moment within this space feels intentionally designed to restore clarity and peace. The staff’s professionalism and warmth elevate the experience even further. Each interaction is thoughtful and graceful, reflecting a standard of hospitality that feels both genuinely kind and impeccably polished. There is a quiet luxury that defines this hotel, understated yet profoundly elegant. It is the kind of place that reminds you what true hospitality means, where every detail and every gesture seems to align perfectly. Having traveled extensively, I can say that my time at the Palace Hotel Tokyo stands among the most memorable stays I have experienced anywhere in the world. It is one of those rare places that leaves a lasting imprint, not just for its beauty, but for the serenity it brings to those who spend time within its walls.
Stefanos T — Google review
Best service I've experienced anywhere in the world. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, though not much different than many western 5 star hotels. Where they are head and shoulders above the rest is in their service. Everywhere you go there are multiple employees willing to help in every way you need and they are impeccably trained in doing it right. If you request something to your room (for example extra towels) they arrive in minutes. Their friendliness and hospitality are unmatched. I stay here every time I visit Tokyo.
Job O — Google review
Our recent stay at The Palace Hotel Tokyo was truly outstanding in almost every regard. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained, with wonderful views that perfectly reflect the serene yet refined character of the property. The breakfast buffet is flawless – one of the best we have experienced in Japan – with outstanding product quality, presentation, and service. A particular highlight of our stay was the exceptional concierge team. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine willingness to assist went far beyond expectations. Traveling with a family that included a baby while wanting to enjoy Tokyo’s finest gastronomy proved to be a considerable challenge. Yet, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Palace concierge team, we were able to secure reservations at some of the city’s best and hardest-to-book restaurants. Without their support, those dining experiences would not have been possible. There are, however, two aspects that could be improved. The early closing times of the restaurants and bars can feel somewhat restrictive for international guests accustomed to more flexible late-night options. More importantly, the spa and sauna facilities do not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The amenities are modest compared to other international luxury hotels, and the additional charge for in-house guests is surprising, even disappointing, given the already substantial room rates. Overall, the Palace Hotel Tokyo remains one of the most elegant and well-managed hotels in the city — a place defined by understated luxury, exceptional staff, and a deep sense of hospitality. With minor adjustments to the spa policy and opening hours, it could easily reach absolute perfection.
Andreas R — Google review
Upon our arrival at the beautiful Palace Hotel, we were greeted by amazing hosts that made us feel welcomed and valued. Our check in went exceptionally well and we were taken to our beautiful room that amazing views of palace and other scenery around us. Daily, our domestic engineers (maid service ) made sure we had everything we needed and more! I believe love is in the details and truly appreciated that they paid attention to specific needs we had and met them all. Breakfast was our favorite meal of the day and we had dinner elsewhere. Lastly, we were thankful for all the hospitality throughout the duration of our stay from all the staff members! They all gave with such pure hearts and we were thankful for each and every one of them! 🫶🏽

We just finished 3 nights at the Palace Hotel and what an incredible stay it was! Beautiful room, spacious and with a balcony over looking the spectacualr moat and Imperial Palace. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We ordered the japanese breakfast through their in room dining service which was well presented and delicious. We also had drinks and food at the lobby lounge which was all class! All round, the service (omotenshai), room, ammenties, and location was top notch. Could not fault Palace Hotel Tokyo! We will be back!

I absolutely loved this hotel. The beds were soft, and the pillows were really comfortable, which helped me get a great night’s rest after a long day of traveling and walking around. The bathrooms were also impressive—clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with the shower and bathtub separated for added convenience. It made getting ready and relaxing much easier. I also appreciated that the hotel offered complete amenities, and it was a nice touch that they provided extra supplies in the lobby free of charge. Its location was also very convenient, since it is only 2-3 streets away from the main street of Ginza. Overall, it was a very pleasant and hassle-free stay, and I would definitely come back.

this hotel provides lotion, face wash, face wash via the lobby take what you want system. On 24th Oct 10:12pm. we are a group of 8paxs and we went to the lobby level 4 to take the complimentary face cream, body lotion and face wash. as we experienced very dry skin due to the cold dry weather and was staying for 3night at this hotel and doing long trip outside, I decided to take a fair more bit to last throughout my outdoor trip and during the stay to keep my skin from cracking. One plump dark face front desk man was on duty that day, and was doing the replenishment of the items. the moment we go to the table to start to search the items, he go away and stand at the counter and no wish to replenish anything. standing there and looking at us and give a unhappy face and somewhat looking down on us attitude face. the moment we go off, when I turn my head to look back, I saw him went into the room and start the replenishment again. why does he have to do that when the rules for replenishment items are to be taken at the lobby and as much as we want. we paid for this hotel and end up having someone from front desk looking down on us. the room cleaning service was the best I felt throughout...those lady was so polite and nice. that was my only compliment throughout the stay

Convenient location with a Natural Lawson and Family Mart just outside. Despite its central location, it was a nice quiet atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. Room seemed clean and didn't smell despite being a smoking room. There was an Ethernet port in the room so I could use that instead of the WiFi, and the connection was plenty fast. The single room was quite small, I hardly had space to walk after opening my suitcase. There could've been more hooks in the bathroom. Sheer curtains didn't provide much privacy so the heavy curtains remained closed throughout my stay.
A Y — Google review
The room was pretty big for a Tokyo Hotel & amenities were complete. There’s even an air filter in the room. The bed & pillows were comfortable and the Wifi was good, we didn’t have any issues with the connections. You can request a very good cordless steam iron from the front desk, just make sure to ask them how it works. The location is superb, just a few mins walk to Ginza shopping district & there’s a 7-11, Family Mart and Lawson just outside the hotel! I would recommend taking the taxi from the closest Airport bus stop to avoid damaging your luggage wheels as the walk was quite far and the sidewalks are not smooth.
Aaron P — Google review
Very happy with this hotel. Its well priced. Very clean and in a prime upper class location away from the craziness like other crowded areas outside of Ginza. The train station is nearby so its easy to get around, plenty of food options and has a car stacker if you want to hire a car. Would recommend this hotel again.

The location and room (junior suite) was great! They had rules to follow, make up room sign before 10am etc I get it. What I can’t get is, I booked 2 rooms. 1 online, 1 offline through the counter. Online for me as foreigner, offline at the counter for my friend Japanese. Everything was well until I check out, my friend convince me the check out time was 12pm which I remembered the counter told me was 11am. My partner & I was 10mins late of 11am they sent someone up to chase us out of our room & charged us 1000 yen when we check out. But when my Japanese friend check out at 11.45am he was ok without someone chasing him out of the room. Maybe there was confusion I wish to know, otherwise the junior suite I stayed in was great for the location & price.

Excellent staff and great room. Loved the shower and soaking tub. The restaurant has friendly staff and tasty food. Plan on staying here more often when I visit Tokyo.

horrible and ridiculous Their reception doesn’t help guests check in. I was led to a kiosk and told that I should check in by myself, including inputting my full name, home address, cell phone number, and scanning my passport, all by myself. The kiosk is not easy to use. I need to learn how to use the system, and I asked the staff two or three times because I encountered issues when I did the self-check-in. Also, I tried three times because it’s very unclear whether I should input my surname or given name first. I understand this hotel wants to cut its budget, but asking your guests to use the stupid system to self-check in is unacceptable. I have traveled to more than ten countries, and this is the first time I have been asked to do this. At the same time, four staff members just stood in the reception area, doing nothing but talking to each other. I must say that the checking-in process is the first impression of a hotel, and it’s not smooth and feels cheap. It does not meet my expectations, especially in Japan, a country famous for its service quality.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Ginza, the Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo is a modern gem that beautifully blends contemporary design with traditional Japanese hospitality. This stylish hotel features sleek rooms adorned with regal colors and floral motifs, making it an ideal romantic retreat for couples. While it may not offer sweeping city views due to its lower height, its prime location allows guests to fully immerse themselves in one of Tokyo's most captivating neighborhoods.
Excellent Stay in the Heart of Ginza – Amazing Staff & Location I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were absolutely outstanding – warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Ginza, with shopping, dining, and subway access just steps away. The only downside was that a few guests (likely Chinese tour groups) were smoking inside their rooms, which created an unpleasant smell in the hallway. I think it would be great if the hotel could clearly display a no-smoking penalty sign or have guests sign an agreement upon check-in to prevent this. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Ginza – the hospitality and location more than make up for the minor issue. Thank you

We arrived at the hotel on Saturday, October 4 (very late in the evening). Upon arrival, we asked the receptionist directly if we could check out late on Tuesday, October 7, explaining the special circumstances. I am pregnant and need to wear compression stockings and have an injection to prevent thrombosis on the plane. He informed us that this was subject to availability. He checked with his manager and informed us that there was no longer any possibility. I checked the hotel's website as well as Booking.com and saw that several rooms were available. So I asked him why... no answer. In fact, they showed no understanding or flexibility. On Tuesday morning, October 7, I checked the websites again and saw that several rooms were available once more. The hotel has no services: no spa, no fitness center, and no offer to bring luggage to the room, which should be the case for a hotel that considers itself to be 4*/5*. Truly the worst hotel we have stayed at in terms of services in almost three weeks in Japan. As for breakfast, it is meager and more like what you would expect from a 3-star hotel. For example, the orange juice is from a carton... it could at least be fresh juice. The rooms are clean, but the cleanliness could be improved. In summary: I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will not be returning. For the price, there are much better options. And it really isn't the Japanese politeness/kindness that I'm used to...

I had a great stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza in Tokyo. The location is excellent with perfect public transport connections, and it's also ideal for exploring Tokyo on foot. The rooms are spacious enough for a comfortable stay, and the staff were absolutely fantastic – friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

Perfect location! To fish market or shopping area are all within 10minutes walking distance! Easy to take subway to airport, no need to change train. However, the room cleaning needs to improve ! Still recommended!

This hotel is strategically located for fans of Ginza-Shopping. It is also a few feet from the Higashiyama-Ginza metro station. Great service and nice clean room. Highly recommend this nice hotel.

Stayed at Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza and found it to be a super convenient base for exploring Tokyo. It’s right along the main Ginza street, just diagonally across from Mitsukoshi department store, with tons of eateries, cafés, and convenience stores all around. The room was small, but that’s expected in Japan — it was clean, well-designed, and had everything I needed. The shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and easy temperature control. The air-conditioning was also easy to adjust. Toilet is in a separate room from the shower, but it wasn’t a big deal for me. One great feature is the taxi availability — there’s usually a line of taxis waiting outside the hotel, which is super helpful. That said, since it’s along a busy street, you might experience a bit of traffic if you’re heading out by taxi during peak times. The lobby can get quite crowded with guests, but surprisingly, I never had to wait long for the lift. I also made a room request during my check in, and the hotel was able to accommodate it, which I really appreciated. Overall, a great stay in a prime Ginza location — clean, efficient, and convenient!

This is not your hotel. Of the different Mitsui Garden Hotels, this is the poorest: the building is old, the rooms are tiny (even compared to Tokyo's other hotels) and inefficient, there are no hotel amenities whatsoever (no lounge, gym, swimming pool, bath, etc.). Not even a lobby. No views. It's misleading to call it a 4 star hotel. Whatever the price is, it's better to stay elsewhere.
Chaim N — Google review
I recently stayed at Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience during breakfast service. I ordered an unagi (eel) rice set, but the dish was served without the eel. After waiting for 15 minutes and dealing with two different staff, the problem was still not corrected. Later, a staff member came with a translator and insisted that the eel had been served and even suggested that I might have eaten it already. To make matters worse, the rice still had traces of eel sauce, which made the accusation even more uncomfortable. This situation not only ruined my meal but also left me feeling unfairly treated and discriminated against. Such service is unacceptable, especially in Japan where attention to detail and hospitality are highly valued.

Nestled in the historic Nihonbashi district, Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is a luxurious high-rise hotel offering stunning city views and top-notch amenities. The hotel boasts 10 restaurants, including three Michelin-starred options, and an upscale spa. The lavish decor features textiles and weavings crafted by Japanese artisans using traditional techniques.
I had an amazing stay at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff at the concierge. They were not only professional but also extremely helpful, answering my question and sending my luggage go my room. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Best of all, my west-facing room let me catch stunning sunsets each evening—such a lovely little luxury that made the space feel extra special. The hotel's breakfast spread was outstanding. The restaurant is located at 38/F with a nice view. There was a wide variety of options, from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes like eggs and bacon. The coffee was also excellent, a great way to start the day. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's close to many restaurants, shops, and public transportation. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo was absolutely unreal. From the moment we arrived, every detail was perfectly thought out. The level of service, the atmosphere, and the genuine care shown by the staff made this experience truly exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Valentina and Chikana Kigami, who both went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out and made us feel so welcome. The hotel is incredibly lucky to have them on the team! From the breathtaking city views to the flawless service and thoughtful touches throughout, everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to come back, it was truly a five-star experience in every way.

My friends and I enjoyed afternoon tea service here on Halloween and it was an absolutely luxurious and magical experience. I've been to many afternoon tea services around the world and this one was easily the best I've ever been to. The ambiance was beautiful, the staff was incredibly polite and attentive, and the tea offerings were delicious and varied. The Halloween theming on the pastries was particularly adorable!! What blew me away most of all, however, was how thoroughly the staff attended to my specific dietary restrictions. I was contacted well in advance, my exact restrictions were noted and clarified, and a completely alternative tower was custom made for me. Completely unrelated to the tea service, I had to make an unexpected health-related request, which was immediately and thoroughly accommodated with the utmost respect and kindness. I truly was not expecting this degree of service, especially as I was not a guest of the hotel, and I was so touched! I highly recommend the afternoon tea service and I hope to stay in this lovely establishment the next time I visit Tokyo :)

Ahh I really wanted to like this hotel, I would give it a 3.5/5 if possible tbf. Stayed here for 7 nights. Biggest callout was definitely the service which was hit or miss. For example the french (?) gentleman who usually answered our room service calls is amazing! You'd think he owned the restaurant with how attentive and charming he was. But other staff could seem disinterested, and average, not what you'd expect from a MO in asia which are known for high class service. Random example: the woman who sat us at breakfast one morning forced my gf to go change her shoes (out of the hotel provided slippers) due to "safety" despite other guests wearing the same slippers at the buffett. Room was decent, okay size but for the tier of hotel and the price it was just average. Dated finishes, a single sink and inefficient use of space compared to somewhere of similar price like The Peninsula. Great views from the 36th floor really was the saving grace for an average room. The special Halloween themed high tea was great, which actually let us leave on a high note. Idk.. the place was nice but if we didn't get a big discount due to their 20 yr anniversary our room would've been over $1500 a night which to me is crazy. For similar price I'd 100% say stay at The Peninsula, or try one of the Four Seasons properties.

From the moment we arrived we had a 5 star experience. We booked the MO on our way out of Japan after two weeks of touring around the country for our 15 year wedding anniversary. This was our final treat on a wonderful trip. Right when we checked in we were escorted to our room, shortly after were brought a tray of fresh fruit that felt so personal and thoughtful. That evening we had a couples massage with full use of the spa beforehand. The spa was gorgeous with views that no words could do justice. The massages were phenomenal with the utmost attention to the details provided and care to make sure we were comfortable and felt relaxed. This was one of the best spa experiences we’ve have ever had. Once our spa treatment was over we didn’t have anything planned for dinner as we had been traveling all day, however, the spa called down to one of the restaurants to get us a last minute reservation to Senses (which was delicious). We had such a relaxing evening and slept lake a baby in such comfortable beds. The following day we had afternoon tea in the lounge that I had previously booked. The front desk held our bags while we enjoyed tea, as we were headed to the airport shortly after. Afternoon tea was a whole experience, with a wonderful presentation. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and helpful in every way. None other compares. Wonderful experience.

The most beautiful hotel with top views in Tokyo, when I first arrived, I really liked their lobby, it was clean, fragrant, and magnificent. Their rooms are also big and I got a very clean room and the bathroom was magnificent. It feels like it's not enough if I only stay here for 3 days 🥹....the food in their restaurant has no failed products, everything is delicious until I'm addicted. They deserve to be called a 5-star and luxurious hotel in Tokyo.
Salma H — Google review
The facility is outstanding. Not at the level of the Aman but not far off. Amenities in the room are excellent. Having the blinds open automatically when the front door to the room opens and allowing one to lift both lids of the Toto would increase the score to a 9. Service and responsiveness is classic for Japan. At least 70 percent of ALL staff go the extra mile for your guests. Given the turnover in your staff, this is a very high number. The head of food and beverage, Moritz, the head concierge (from India), and the GM (from France) are accessible on the property all the time. I owned a chain of boutique restaurants for twenty years. These are the kind of señior management which make a good hotel great. Housekeeping gets a 10. Several of the ladies at breakfast get a 10+ for their consistent ability to deal with troublesome and annoying guests. Front desk could smile a bit more. Breakfast is top of class. The ability of the staff to handle an overloaded rush is admirable. The food rocks. Downstairs in reception is another 10. They got us into cabs and gave directions without prompting. Very good "look" for the hotel both with respect to guests and visitors.
Ephraim G — Google review
This Mandarin Oriental is beautifully maintained. The service is top notch. Though it doesn’t offer full scale Japanese breakfast like other hotels I have stayed in Tokyo, its breakfast still is good. The view from our room was not the greatest because the tall buildings around, but the view from the lady’s spa is spectacular. The guest room itself is very spacious, and I liked its soothing nature color tone and its bamboo floor. The neighborhood around the hotel is nice and peaceful with department stores and rows of restaurants, very nice to walk. The Sushi Shin restaurant inside the hotel is highly recommended as well.

Best Hilton experience by a country mile!! We stayed at The Conrad for a few days so that we could attend an event in Tokyo and we were pleasantly surprised at how amazing it was. Our rooms was lovely, nice and spacious (I was a bit worried about room sizes in Tokyo), bathtub and shower, his and hers basin, all the bells and whistles expected of a Conrad. The views of too Bay from the room were lovely. Finally, the breakfast buffet was to die for, always nice to be able to start the day with such a lovely meal. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. If I make it back to Tokyo the Conrad will definitely be a must.

My stay at the Conrad Tokyo was absolutely fantastic, largely thanks to the world-class service. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, but a few individuals truly made our experience special. A perfect example was the wonderful service from Mayumi and Asako. I had received a Conrad bear from a previous stay in Osaka and messaged to ask if the Tokyo location had a similar one. Mayumi responded right away and had the Tokyo version delivered to my room. Later, after I sent a thank you photo, Asako and the team surprised me with one more! It was a completely unexpected and charming gesture that made me feel so welcome. A huge thank you to both of them for making my stay so memorable! The facilities are top-notch. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking views of the city skyline and Tokyo Bay. The gym and spa are excellent, providing a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location is also a huge plus. While it feels serene and exclusive, it's incredibly convenient, being located right next to Shiodome station. This made getting around Tokyo a breeze. I can't recommend the Conrad Tokyo enough. It's a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with a level of personalized service that is truly special.

We had an absolutely fantastic and memorable stay. Each time we returned to the hotel after exploring the city, it truly felt like coming home. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Monica in the Executive Lounge was especially kind and attentive, and Peter at the front desk made us feel genuinely cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better visit. Breakfasts were excellent… high quality, very tasty, and lots of variety. Also, all the amenities were top notch and our son in particular enjoyed the fully equipped gym. The location is convenient to public transit, though a bit removed from most points of interest. That said, Ginza is within walking distance, which was very convenient.

Truly outstanding experience. Received a fantastic suite upgrade—status definitely respected! A huge bonus: Liverpool FC was staying here! What an event for my kid! We had a small issue with smoke from the air cooler, but the service was incredible. They immediately brought an air purifier, and the main manager checked on us personally. Great suite, great service, great memories. I will absolutely return.

Outstanding 5 night stay at Conrad Tokyo as Hilton Diamond member. Received complimentary upgrade from Bay View King to Bay View Suite. Great hotel, but staff made the stay even better. In house food and beverage was very good, from morning buffet to executive lounge to Chinese restaurant - all were solid. The lobby bar on the 28th floor was a great place to relax and listen to live music. In ~15 seatings throughout the hotel, only one time did we not get a window table, and we never had to ask. Assistant GM Hiroya Peter is best in the business, he welcomed us from check-in and kept track of us for the entire stay making sure we had an outstanding stay. Shout out to the Conceirge team for all the recommendations, directions and securing us the best two seats at PST. And the fitness, pool and spa facilities were top notch, had an absolutely perfect two hour spa treatment. Overall, one of the best hotels in the world. Highly recommend Conrad Tokyo for any world travelers.

We frequent a lot of luxury hotel brands but this place absolutely blew us away! We decided to stay at Conrad Tokyo for 2 days for our anniversary staycation and the level of service, included amenities, as well as the food were all top notch. My wife absolutely loved her time here I’ve never seen her this satisfied compared to our stay at other luxury hotels. Special shoutout to Amika who made sure our stay here was as amazing as possible, thank you! If there was any regrets it is that we did not reserve an extra night and we would have if it wasn’t for our tight schedule. We will be coming back.

All I can say is wow. I had the most phenomenal stay during my time at Conrad Tokyo. From check-in, you are greeted by the most welcoming attentive employees. As a Diamond member, the woman who greeted me told me that I could check in at the Executive Lounge, but I opted to check in in the lobby. I was promptly given all of the information that I needed for my stay and informed that I had been upgraded to a room with the Bay View. The room is absolutely breathtaking and you could tell how meticulously thought out every detail of the room and the amenities were. I traveled solo but it would be an excellent size for up to three guests. I want to give a special shoutout to the turndown service - it was perfect in every way. Pajamas on the bed, water on the bedside tables, all of your products placed meticulously on a towel in the bathroom, peaceful spa music playing, and most importantly, a new bear each night! I stayed in October and got a special Halloween bear. The Executive Lounge was a true highlight, mostly due to the service. The people are truly excellent there and are extremely attentive. I will say that the food is not extremely memorable in the lounge, but I did enjoy breakfast, particularly the uni eggs and lobster omelet! I think the lobster omelet was truly spectacular, but that can also be found in the regular breakfast dining, which has a lot more options generally. I had dinner at Collage one of my nights with an 8 or 9 course meal. It was an exceptional meal that you can tell a lot of thought was put into. The service was also impeccable! I highly recommend for something a little more alternative. It was definitely French/Japanese fusion. The day that I had to leave was truly a sad day. I am already planning my next trip to Japan and lining up as much possible time to stay at Conrad Tokyo.

Perched high above the bustling streets of Ginza, Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier offers stunning city views from its chic and stylish rooms located above the 16th floor. The hotel's central location, just a 5-minute walk from Shimbashi station, makes it a convenient choice for travelers. Guests can enjoy breathtaking evening views of Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Bay from this high-rise hotel.
Fabulous easy to access Hotel in the heart of Tokyo. A very good Japanese friend who lives in Tokyo recommended this hotel. I was pleased by the hotel’s high quality and exceptional service. From room cleanliness, to the morning breakfast, to even the small courtesy of providing an umbrella on a rainy day - this hotel was accommodating. My arrival flight was delayed, and when I notified the hotel of the delayed check in timing, the staff was polite, and sought to assist in making my delayed check in a pleasure. Thank you to the staff and hotel management for this pleasant experience.

I decided on this hotel after researching various options to fully enjoy Ginza after a long time. It had good reviews on many websites, so I chose to stay here. However, my impression was that it was more like a higher-end business hotel. I found out at checkout that I could drink the beverages in the fridge for free, with little explanation from the staff. It was quite disappointing. The bathtub in the bathroom, where you can see Tokyo Tower, was surprisingly small—I've never seen one so tiny. In terms of location, it's perfect for shopping and dining.
Tony — Google review
Overall, it was an okay stay, but the room size wasn't ideal for two people. The Good: The hotel has a great location, just a short walk from the Ginza shopping area, with a convenience store nearby and easy access to train stations. The service was excellent, the lobby had a nice view, and the staff were friendly. The Not So Good: The room was very small, which is common in Tokyo. We booked a queen room for two, but the bed felt more like a larger single bed, leaving little space to move around. It's better suited for a solo trip. I recommend checking the room options when booking and choosing a larger room if you're traveling with more than one person.

We had a lovely stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier. The rooms are modern and the size is perfect. I don’t know why people keep complaining about the room size in the reviews? What are they expecting, a studio apartment? The bathroom is lovely and the shower is really nice. The shower gel in the bathroom smells lovely. There is a bath tub in there too. The staff are friendly, polite and keep everything clean. Towels and slippers are replaced daily. The bed sheets are changed daily too and the beds are really comfortable. The staff also leave two small bottles of water in the fridge every day, tea and coffee making things in your room which is nice. The breakfast is lovely. There is chicken, pork dimsums, pancakes, sushi, fruit, salad, pastries, pancakes, yogurt, a range of juices and teas etc. It would be nice to have some tempura dishes but other than that I really enjoyed it. The hotel is a 6-minute walk from Shimbashi Station (where we mostly travelled from for days out), 12-minute walk from Ginza Station and 20-minute walk from Tokyo Station. The views are amazing from the hotel! :)

The Tokyo Tower view, the elegant lobby, and the quiet surroundings were all great. The room was smaller compared to other Mitsui Garden Hotels nearby, but the breakfast was quite good. However, the Chromecast in my room didn’t work at all. I called the front desk and even spoke to them in person the next day, but was only told, “It might be because too many people are using it, please wait.” No matter how long I waited—10 or even 15 minutes—the screen just wouldn’t load. I even asked them to have the technical team check, but no follow-up was made, and in the end I couldn’t use it during my entire stay. For frequent business travelers like myself, this was disappointing. The service felt below the level of the otherwise impressive atmosphere. I hope the hotel reviews its procedures so that future guests won’t have the same experience.
C C — Google review
My overall experience was pleasant, with great service and comfortable accommodation. However, the Wi-Fi in my room was extremely slow and kept dropping out. When I raised the issue, the staff explained it was due to heavy usage by other guests, which feels disappointing for a 5-star hotel. Still, aside from the unstable internet, I enjoyed my stay.
Sepideh A — Google review
Good location but… Carpet of the room worn out. Rooms are much smaller than on pictures. As couple with 2 luggage you cannot let them opened, let alone putting your clothes on any pantry or drawer. Bathroom is old style. Even the toilets are old.
François G — Google review
Was not impressed by this hotel especially at this price ( >$300 per night) The room smelt like cigarette smoke. Moldy corners in the bathroom and soap scum on the tiles and glass. Lots of dust in the corners and under the bed is like another carpet of dust. Stains on the carpet as well. Room was minuscule. We also originally booked a view room but then we’re not going to be given it when we checked in until we complained. Location was fine. Although next time I’ll book a boutique hotel in a different area.

If there is a perfect hotel, Shangrila Tokyo would be it. I and my family spent a wonderful vacation here. Taking elderly parents for a trip is a lot of work and Shangrila made my trip into a true delight. The room is specious. Spotless and tidy all the times. The coffee machine is as clean as my own ones in the house. Delicious breakfast with abundant choices. Both Japanese style and western ones are top notch. Their concierge service is the best. They help us book several hit restaurants. They also picked us up from Shinkansen platform upon our arrival and sent us to the Narita express after check out.Tokyo station is huge and can be confusing, even if you have been there a few times. I also enjoyed their spa service, a wonderful massage experience. This hotel is located right next to Tokyo station, center of everything that is good for both business and pleasure. Truly delighted with my stay at this long-established hotel. From smooth luggage service in the B1 level to seamless check-in, everything was efficient and thoughtful. The front desk perfectly fulfilled our emailed requests, and the service, especially from the B1 staff, was warm, respectful, and made us feel genuinely valued. Turndown service and in-room dining even surpassed many modern five-star hotels. Though the facilities aren’t brand-new, the comfort, charm, and refined hospitality here are unmatched. The Imperial Hotel Tokyo is an elegant and upscale establishment with a rich history dating back to 1890. Despite enduring various challenges over the years, including bombings and earthquakes, the hotel has maintained its legacy of perfection. It has been a preferred choice for royalty, celebrities, statesmen, and business leaders. The property boasts 13 restaurants and 4 bars, offering a grand dining experience. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as an indoor pool, sauna, and event facilities.
We have been staying with imperial hotel every time we come to Tokyo and I cannot recommend more for the service and atmosphere this hotel offers, not to mention the rich and unique history of this hotel. From the moment I arrived at the Imperial Hotel, everything was flawless. The location is unbeatable — centrally positioned with easy access to major attractions, shopping, and public transport, yet offering a peaceful and elegant atmosphere away from the city’s rush. The service is where this hotel truly shines. Every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Whether it was the smooth check-in, the helpful concierge, or the impeccable housekeeping, the standard of hospitality was consistently outstanding. The blend of classic charm and modern comfort throughout the hotel made the stay even more special. It’s clear that attention to detail and guest experience are top priorities here. A truly memorable stay — I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and top-tier service in Tokyo.

Impeccable service in a grand old hotel. The staff and kind and helpful in everything. The rooms in the tower (which won’t be around much longer apparently) are a tad dated but in a classic way. Superb location - quiet but a short walk to transport and nightlife.

Mrs. Michiko Toshima-san was so kind, so helpful and she went above and beyond to help us with our questions. We are very grateful for her service and assistance! She is the best. Thank you to everyone that we met along the way!

The absolute ultimate in service and quality of stay. This is so rare nowadays. Beautiful rooms reminiscing of Frank Lloyd wright style. Very comfortable. The electrical infrastructure and the technology infrastructure have been upgraded. What a fabulous place! Our favorite in Tokyo

Rooms are a bit dated in the tower section, but the building is staffed by some of the most professional members I've ever seen. I don't know if I've received higher customer service and would like to extend my thanks to all of the staff for a most pleasant stay. Will recommend and be returning in the future.

This was my first time to Japan and I could not ask for a better place to stay. The staff were amazing even opening up the business center early for you if needed. Their laundry service is excellent and affordable if your traveling light. Worth every penny. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Japan especially if it is your first time because the staff will help you navigate the town. Coming back very soon!

Everything in Imperial Hotel is beyond my expectations. The room is very spacious and clean. What I am surprised the most is the Japanese hospitality the staff offer. They took care of us and were attention to detail during our stay. I would definitely come back to Imperial if I have any chance to visit Tokyo. Thank you for the great hospitality.

The Imperial Hotel Tokyo is a beautiful and elegant hotel in the heart of the city. It’s very close to the Imperial Palace, Ginza shopping area, and Hibiya Park, which makes it perfect for both sightseeing and shopping. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. Many of them have great views of the city, and the bathrooms are big with nice bathtubs. Everything in the room feels high quality and well taken care of. One of the best things about this hotel is the amazing service. The staff are very kind, professional, and always ready to help with anything you need. They pay attention to small details, and that makes your stay extra special.

Located in the upscale area of Ginza, Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo offers chic rooms and suites with a modern restaurant/bar and a 24-hour gym. The hotel, converted from a newspaper publishing building, pays homage to Tokyo's media and entertainment history while providing traditional Japanese touches such as yukatas for guests. Just a short walk away is the historic Kabuki-za Theatre where guests can witness Japanese dance dramas unfold.
I stayed at Hyatt Centric Tokyo Ginza during the Tokyo Marathon this year — it took me a while to write this review, but the experience was truly memorable! The location is fantastic — right in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, close to the Imperial Palace, great shopping, and extremely well connected to the rest of the city. The staff were exceptional and made me feel right at home from day one. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially by Tokyo standards, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight — a wonderful blend of Western and Japanese options. The omelettes are a must-try! Another great touch: complimentary snacks and water available throughout the day, which was perfect for marathon recovery and sightseeing. In short: 5 stars. A great hotel in a perfect spot to explore one of the best cities in the world.
Nelson V — Google review
Great stay, comfortable rooms and great service staff. The little freebies lounge area by check in is a nice touch to allow you to try new snacks and drinks. Close by to all the great food in Ginza and easy to get around the city from there.

As soon as you arrive, you are greated with the friendliest and most helpful of staff. Everyone working the front desk were so hospitable, and truly showed how much they cared. Every small detail was tended to, and I was in great hands in a home away from home. I also utilized their luggage forwarding services, and it was a huge help while traveling solo. The room was beautiful and clean. The lobby had an art exhibit from an amazing young artist (see video). It took all of my willpower to not buy a piece before I left! The location was perfect for all your Ginza shopping, and only a 10 minute walk from multiple train stations. Highly recommended for your Tokyo visit!
K. S — Google review
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! We arrived early on a Saturday morning, and while our room wasn’t ready yet, the staff immediately offered to store our luggage and even delivered it to our room before we returned from sightseeing. The service here is truly exceptional — attentive, thoughtful, and genuine. The team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, even calling taxis and waiting by the car until we departed. While Japan is known for outstanding hospitality, this hotel raises the bar even higher. The rooms are beautifully designed and luxurious, and the lobby offers complimentary drinks, snacks, and candies — such a nice touch. We also loved the on-site restaurant and bar, where both the food and service were excellent. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Ginza, within walking distance of some of Tokyo’s best shopping and dining. A perfect blend of comfort, style, and impeccable service. I would absolutely stay here again!
Johanna G — Google review
Room: clean, small, no view. Service: staff English is good, but there’s absolutely no sense of service in this hotel. Location: this place is all about location, and that’s pretty much it. Comment: totally not worth it. As a Hyatt property labelled as Hyatt Centric, you’d expect a much better experience than a regular Hyatt Regency or Hyatt Place, but this hotel completely fails to deliver. Honestly, it feels more like an ibis Styles than a Hyatt Centric.
Don C — Google review
People kept telling me that because my hotel was in Ginza that I would be far from other places and sites plus it would be expensive in this area. They were so wrong. I LOVED staying here in Ginza esp at the Hyatt. This hotel is about 2 blocks from the Ginza Station which gives to access to 3 lines plus all the most high end anything within walking distance. Food options also great because you can get great cheap food and great fancy foods too. The staff here at Hyatt are amazing. Theyre all super polite, helpful and just overall so hospitable. The rooms are comfortable chic and supplied with everything you need from coffeemaker (Nespresso), lighted vanity mirror, toothbrush, cotton swabs, etc. The rooms blackout shades are electric and work very well. Plan to stay at this hotel again when I visit Tokyo. Forgot to mention the hotel also provides you with water bottles to take with you, water drinks snacks 24/7 in the lobby. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I have. Thank you to the team at Hyatt Centric Ginza.

We loved staying at this hotel. It is super centrally located and everyone we interacted with from the staff were incredibly kind. The rooms are large for Tokyo standards and my husband especially loved the styling. We were very happy with our stay!

Ok hotel. Rooms are nice and modern. The bathroom is quite nice with a good tub which is nice and relaxing after long day. However, the bed is quite firm to the point of being uncomfortable for a side sleeper. Also, some low frequency rumbling noises were audible when laying on the bed. Ear plugs helped.

Muji Hotel Ginza is a casual and informal hotel located on the top floors of Muji's flagship store in Tokyo. The hotel embodies Muji's anti-cheap, anti-gorgeous ethos with its minimalist and well-executed design. The rooms are apartment-like, featuring narrow but long layouts with simplistic designs. Some rooms include well-stocked bookcases or traditional tatami mats and futons.
So happy I picked MUJI for our first trip to Tokyo! It was really quiet and calm to come home to and with 2 kids that needed breaks from busy day to relax the complementary lounge was a bonus for the parents! The room is yes narrow but with awesome amenities and great coffee machine in the morning! I hade no problem fitting 2 suitcases and all our stuff! We were on the 7 floor so I was scared we would get noise from lobby but nothing! so quiet and calm! The staff are very attentive and helped us with everything we needed! even scissors😂 highly recommended and now so happy I ended up booking again for our return to Tokyo!

The service here is extremely lacking and has declined since my first visit two years ago. This was my third time staying here. The price they charge ($450/night) does not match the quality of service provided. Seating was minimal, and the reception area was cluttered with bags, taking up a lot of space. I was not allowed to use the lounge area, even though it opens to the public at 4 PM, which left guests without anywhere to rest or recharge between lunch and lounge service. I will not stay here again when I return to Tokyo. The only pro was the location. The hotel is in the heart of Ginza, which means we had easy access to restaurants, public transportation, and a lot of shopping.
Jamie F — Google review
I stayed at the Muji Hotel and overall it was a pleasant experience. Everything is spotless, impeccable cleanliness, a perfectly maintained bathroom, very soft towels, and lovely Muji products available. The atmosphere is wonderfully calm with no noise at all. The bed, despite its beautiful cotton sheets, was unfortunately not comfortable, which affected the quality of sleep. Another downside: the breakfast hours (7:30 – 9:30). They are too limited and not very practical, especially since their coffee shops and bakery only open at 11:00, which leaves very few options. On the positive side, the staff is very professional, attentive, and efficient. In summary: a beautifully designed hotel, spotless and serene, but the comfort of the bed and the practicality of the meal times could be improved.

A fantastic stay at Muji Hotel Ginza! The location is superb, right in the heart of the bustling Ginza district, making it easy to explore the city. The staff are welcoming and the check-in process is seamless. A highlight is the lounge next to the counter, which offers complimentary drinks and snacks from 4 to 9 PM—a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfortable, nice pajamas provided. The only minor drawback was the shower's weak water pressure, but it didn't detract from an otherwise excellent experience.
Jessie W — Google review
If you stay here you need to appreciate the gimmick. It is mostly tourists in this hotel, since it's all about the Muji brand. You will certainly get a delightful Muji experience here including an essential oil vaporizer in your room. It made me smile. The breakfast is inconveniently late and was below average. Otherwise I recommend this hotel to tourists since it is fun and entertaining. I paid $250//night and would not have accepted $400/night for this experience.
Avery M — Google review
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to a subway station. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is wonderful. We booked a very comfortable room — a standard double room, Type C. The room was clean, and all the amenities were refreshed daily. We really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was a bit pricey for what it was, but other than that we had an amazing time at the Muji Hotel in Ginza. Rooms were always clean, nice AC and premium location. Will book again if I come back to japan.

I really enjoyed my stay here and loved the smell of the muji products (especially the shampoo and body wash) in the shower. Everything was clean and the bed + pillows were so comfy! The best part was how quiet it was. We couldn’t hear anything from the outside or other rooms. You’ll definitely sleep peacefully here. Staff was kind and attentive and I was grateful they understood and spoke English 😅! I hope to stay here again during my next visit!

Bay Hotel Tokyo Hamamatsucho offers capsule-style dorms and simple rooms in a laid-back setting with a communal kitchen and a rooftop terrace. Situated in Tokyo, the property is conveniently located near various attractions such as Italy Park, Seishoji Temple, Space FS Shiodome, and Advertising Museum. It is also close to Caretta Shiodome and Takeshiba Wharf Park.
The rooms are not big, but the bathroom is great and it's all you need to relax after walking 20.000 steps. Really good service and the location is central: close to metro and train stations and enough places around to eat and drink
Zoë W — Google review
The room is was tiny. It was okay for me as a solo traveller for one night. The bed was comfy but the pillows were like wooden planks (and I like a firm pillow). It is close enough to walk to two train stations (only 5 mins) as well as a few nearby attractions if you don't mind a bit of a walk. The shower was excellent and surprisingly roomy. Separate shampoo and conditioner was good. There is a kettle, but no tea/coffee or even mugs. Two plastic cups are provided. No spoon. Close to 7eleven. I didn't really interact with staff much but the ones I encountered were friendly. It is okay for a short stay but due to size, I would look for a bigger space if staying longer.

Awful. DO NOT recommend in less you only care about location. My worst hotel experience by miles in my entire stay in Japan. Do not waste your time and money at this property. Extremely unrefined. The photos are taken very close up to disguise what this place really looks like. Completely does not match what we saw in images. Amenities are blocked off for staff use only, vending machine is malfunctioning (takes your money and doesn’t dispense anything), laundry room is not a room, it’s a single machine.. behind a pillar… IN the lobby which is already tiny and PACKED with other people’s held luggage. Check In machines don’t work. Our check in took 40 minutes or more. We stayed at 4 other hotels and took no longer than 5 min for check in. We booked another hotel and decided to leave this one, staff was EXTREMELY rude and started an argument about our “preferences” for another hotel, rather than owning up to the obvious issues this hotel has.
Anthony S — Google review
My friends recommended this hotel so I just tag along book it together with them. In hindsight, this hotel is not suitable for my lifestyle when I travel. The good: 1. Clean and modern 2. Shower pressure is good 3. Despite complains of the room size in the reviews, I think it is still ok given we are in Tokyo 4. Location is about 5 minutes away walk from the station with plenty of convenient stores nearby 5. Allow us to store luggage till late at night despite their website say till 4pm on the same day. 6. Service is good The bad: 1. Checkout at 10am, seriously? This is the first for me after staying in so many hotels. 2. Sink is not in the toilet but within the same area as the TV. So any noise like your partner getting ready when using the sink will affect your sleep. 3. Sink is also way too small. 4. You have to put your towels and tie your garbage bag and place it outside your door as they don’t come in to clean everyday. 5. After putting my towels outside, you have to collect your new towels at the front desk yourself. 6. Cleaning is only once every four days, there is no sign for us to put at our door to indicate we want to clean it everyday. 7. No mineral water given 8. Only 1 pillow
Lester C — Google review
Rooms are small but the bed is the comfiest bed ever! Stayed here for 4 nights. The place is very clean. The location is great, very near Hamamatsucho station. The area is quiet. At the rooftop there is a great view of the Tokyo Tower. At night everytime we walk back to the hotel, we always see the illuminated Tokyo Tower peeking between buildings 😆 and then have the comfiest bed after a long busy day.
Eri C — Google review
Location is excellent, cleanliness and amenities are good. They will keep your luggage for you which is excellent. But... Room size is pathetic, very small for a couple. But still my main reason for being unhappy is the checkin time of 4pm combined with early checkout time of 10am, whereas the norm in japan is 11am and 3pm. 4pm checkin time is ridiculous, entire day has passed already you're literally checking in in the evening.
Rupinder D — Google review
Price / quality is good - bathroom smart small and good. Airco good. Quality bed and pillow good. Three metro stations on short distance, excellent bar and some good restarants close distance (2 minutes walk), breakfast bar and bakery within 1 minute walk. Services are very basic. Cleanjng services good. Negatives: Too small room, lift services often with delay, roof garden only full sun, lounge area not appropriate for our wishes to relax.
John H — Google review
We’ve stayed here a few times and recommended it to many others who have also stayed here but I must admit I was a bit disappointed this time. The rate was double what we paid 2.5 years ago and the rooftop that we loved so much was nowhere near as nice.

The hotel offers Copenhagen chic style in all its rooms and throughout the property. TRUNK(Hotel) Yoyogi Park boasts Tokyo's first outdoor rooftop pool, offering treetop views and a minimalist design by Japanese architect Keiji Ashizawa and Danish firm Norm Architects.
Went there with a friend last Friday after booking a table same day. The place is really close to the station, and easy to find. We ordered six dishes, a bottle of wine, and two more glasses of wine for a total of around ¥20,000. The food was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were fabulous. The porcini risotto we ordered was one highlight of the meal, with a depth of flavor and just-right al dente texture. To cap the meal off we had venison from Hokkaido, and it was superb. The wine steward gathered our preferences verbally and then returned with six bottles of wine which made it clear we were dealing with someone who likes to travel off the beaten path. The Carignana from Sardegna we chose after some deliberation was fruity and light yet rich, and went perfectly with the meal. I will definitely be going back.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi is a refined property located in the heart of Tokyo, just a short walk from JR Tokyo Station. The hotel offers comfortable and modern rooms with amenities such as free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Guests can enjoy dining at the laid-back restaurant on-site. The hotel's convenient location allows for easy access to attractions like Tokyo Skytree. Visitors have praised the hotel for its cleanliness, English-speaking staff, and satisfying breakfast options featuring flavorful local specialties.
Great service including arranging our baggage transfer for us. Nice, clean rooms. Good WiFi etc and a wee residents area with coffee etc. Also coin laundry room and microwave. Location amazing. Breakfast is efficient with friendly staff, but mostly not to UK tastes and we struggled a bit to be honest. We had fruit salad with yoghurt, oats, and a smoothie and coffee.
Rob L — Google review
The rooms are slightly larger than the Tokyo standard, which makes packing and unpacking much easier. The location is excellent, just about 100m from the Yaesu underground shopping centre and very close to Tokyo Station. However, I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay. Having stayed at another hotel in the same chain (Celestine) just before, the difference in service, hospitality, and overall quality was quite striking. The staff at Mitsui Garden Kyobashi didn’t feel as welcoming, and on some occasions even questioned simple requests like assistance with luggage. Toiletries are not provided in the room beyond the basics – guests must pick them up from reception – which feels more budget-style than expected. Housekeeping was inconsistent as well, with used cups sometimes left behind unwashed. The breakfast was limited in variety, and for vegetarians there were very few options available. Overall, this hotel is a convenient choice if you want to be right next to Tokyo Station, but it should not be considered a luxury stay.
Isadora S — Google review
Fantastic staff, fantastic location, nice rooms.. it really was the perfect base for our time in Tokyo. This hotel is a simple 7 minute walk to Tokyo Station (which gives access to many train lines, including Yamanote line) and Kyobashi station is a 2 minute walk which makes Ginza, Shibuya and Asakusa all have NO transfer! Great! There is a 7/11 in the next block too and Lawson close by too. The entire premises it spotlessly clean. Even the Lobby and rooms smell amazing! Delicious breakfast (the scrambled eggs are just as good as 7/11 egg Sando!). The lounge has complimentary drinks, coffees and snacks between 3pm and 10pm, which we found such a useful feature to chill and unwind after a long day of touring. Hotel staff helped me arrange Luggage Delivery to our next hotel, which was so efficient! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Tokyo next time. Thank you for everything! Highly highly recommended.

We stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi for part of our trip through Japan. Overall, it was a nice enough stay, though it ended up being our least favorite of the five hotels we stayed at. The positives: the hotel was very clean, including our room. The staff were all very kind and helpful—going out of their way to give us ramen recommendations and umbrellas on rainy days. We also appreciated the coin laundry on-site, which was convenient during a long trip, though there are only two machines so there was often a wait. Another highlight was that the hotel surprised us with a kind note and small gift for our anniversary, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The included late-night snacks in the restaurant area were a nice touch, and the location was excellent; just a short walk from Tokyo Station and close to subway lines, which made getting around very easy. That said, there were a number of drawbacks. The entryway corridor on the first floor (before you reach the lobby on the second floor) consistently had a smoky smell, which wasn’t pleasant. Our room, while expectedly small for Tokyo, had a bathroom that felt a bit dated, with water temperature fluctuations in the shower (sometimes suddenly very hot). The Wi-Fi was also quite sluggish (almost too slow to work on). The elevators could be quite slow at times. The hallways and daily room cleaning were also quite loud, and staff often left cleaning equipment (like vacuums) in the halls for long stretches, which made the space feel cluttered. All in all, while the hotel was clean, safe, and in a great location with very kind staff who went above and beyond, the comfort and amenities didn’t quite match up to the price nor to other hotels we experienced during our trip.
Eleanor — Google review
This is a very nice hotel in a good location. Our stay was pleasant and the staff were excellent. The only reason I gave service 4 stars was because I think there should be more staff at breakfast. They all worked hard but tables were sometimes not cleared for a while. The offerings we're also a bit repetitive. All in all, a very nice stay

Incredible stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi. Front office team had exceptional customer service. Nice, friendly and excelling in exceeding expectations for great service. We were surprised at all the fine details and great amenities, breakfast bar (for purchase) free coffee and snacks and toiletries (bath towel, tooth brush, haircomb etc..) located a few blocks away from the Ginza area this hotel is stylish and modern and conveniently located near to the train station. Hotel Gracery Ginza is a modern property located in Tokyo's Chuo-ku district. While it may not have the same iconic status as its sister hotel in Shinjuku, it still exudes understated elegance. The rooms are typical for mid-range Tokyo hotels, but what sets this 4-star establishment apart are its on-site amenities and prime location.
I really love the location of this hotel. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It’s right in the heart of Ginza, making it an excellent value for money. I highly recommend this hotel! I’ll definitely stay here again next time. Super comfortable, clean, and welcoming — truly worth every penny.

Reasonable hotel. Good location at Ginza. As expected with such hotels, the room is quite small, but you essentially have everything you need. I was along so it was fine, spending time as a couple in such room might be stressful. What bothered me most was the noise from the room above me, as well as very strange noise when I stood inside my bath, as if it was going to crack. Breakfast is reasonable, you have a lot of small goodies to pick at the reception area, which also offers free drink and coffee. Overall, value for money is ok, but if I was management I would really check out the bath issue.

A really charming hotel in a nice area. And really close to metro station. The staff was really kind and serviceminded. The rooms where smal and not the smartest design but everything worked and if you are only using the room for sleeping it is perfect. We are already talking about our next trip to Tokyo, and I think we will choose this hotel again. Our best recommendations
Rasmus L — Google review
Hotel Gracery Ginza is an excellent choice if you’re staying in the heart of Ginza. The area feels very safe and clean, and the hotel itself is modern and well-maintained. Staff spoke English and were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. The laundry facilities were a great bonus — three washers and three dryers that accept card payments, and you can even check availability so you don’t waste a trip downstairs. The rooms are on the smaller side by Western standards but perfectly normal for Tokyo, with smart TVs, ice machines, and restaurants conveniently located within the building. While we probably wouldn’t stay in Ginza again just because we prefer other areas, I’d still recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly stay in a prime location.
John C — Google review
The hotel’s location is very convenient, close to two metro stations. The lobby provides complimentary water, soft drinks, and coffee, which is a nice touch. However, I did encounter an unpleasant experience with one of the elderly male staff whose name tag seemed to be “Mori (森).” His attitude toward Chinese guests was discriminatory, which left a negative impression. On the positive side, a young lady with short hair at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful—unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name.
Yan K — Google review
We had a warm welcome by the staff. The rooms were a bit small and had carpets on the floor. As I am allergy prone I had a hard time. But anyway it was tidy, nice and clean. The breakfast was okay. A good choice for everybody who wants to stay a few days in Tokyo.
Greek M — Google review
I’ve made booking for 2 rooms. Staff assisted us to check in and he arranged two rooms separately on different floors. According to his saying, he said hotel’s full so they can’t be on the same floor which I fully understand with no issue. But how about just issued us only 1 room card for one of the rooms. I’m sure he’s fully aware there’s only 1 card so I asked him shouldn’t it a standard to have 2 room cards, and then he do what I said without feeling sorry or anything with his attitude. Second day in, I have asked the same staff to put me on to another room floor where I can pass on some meds to my family because they’re not feeling well going out. But the staff feels like it’s some kind of trouble it was. I was really disappointed at the point I was staying in a 4 stars hotel which the service doesn’t match up. On positive note, location and rooms are good but the front desk service (especially on the night shift) needs to do better.
HL — Google review
Location is right on the edge of one of the major Ginza streets, which is the appeal. Room sizes however are small and what you could get in other parts of Tokyo. You're paying to be across from the Ginza Six mall, and withing walking distance of Higashi-Ginza, Ginza, and Yurakucho stations.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Gochome is a modest hotel with cozy rooms, some featuring tatami mats. The property is well-regarded for its convenient location and traditional Edo-style baths. While the decor is mostly neutral, there are subtle Japanese touches that add character without being overbearing. Guests appreciate the helpful staff and decent room size, although space may be tight for multiple large suitcases.
Nice but quite small rooms in very good location with a really nice breakfast. Not cheap but in line with the category in Tokyo. This hotel is new and very meticulously maintained and Extremely clean. The rooms are tiny. Not much more than the space for the bed, but that’s fairly typical of Tokyo hotels outside of the older, fancier hotels. For those who know Tokyo, it’s a fancy APA, basically. There is a large bath for men and another for women that’s very pleasant. The fitness room is minuscule and essentially useless but maybe you luck out and the one treadmill is free when you want to use it… The restaurant is super nice for Breakfast. a strong point and better than comparable hotels in the area, though it’s pricey so buy it ahead of time when booking the room or else it’s 3000¥+ per person and nobody in their right mind would pay that separately. This chain of hotels seems to have sprung out of nowhere over the past 5 years and is now found all over Tokyo. Would book again.

2025.09.25 Staying at your hotel truly made us fall in love with Japan even more. The service was exceptional. When we inquired about an upgrade, your staff kindly introduced several options. Although we decided not to upgrade, we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful birthday gesture—it made us incredibly happy and grateful. The room was more spacious than other hotels nearby, which was a delightful surprise considering how compact most rooms in Tokyo tend to be. We also loved the bathhouse—it’s a must-try! After a long day of sightseeing, it was the perfect way to relax and unwind. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting again!

This hotel was convenient for me. It was walking distance to the Ginza shopping area and 2 - 10 mins walk from a few stations lines depending on where you wanted to go. The staff were nice and able to assist me with any queries. They held my cabin bag on the day of my departure while I did last minute shopping. The laundry room where the machine was combination wash + dry was convenient and ¥600. My hotel room was clean and spacious enough. My window view though was next to another building. I was able to forward my luggage here from another hotel and forward onwards to the airport. I like the fact that they had scales at reception where you could weigh your luggage and shopping.

My stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — every detail felt thoughtful and refined. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and welcoming, making it the perfect retreat after exploring the city. A special mention must go to Mr. Shin Katanga, the Assistant Manager, whose kindness and professionalism truly stood out. He went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed, always with a genuine smile and such understanding. His warmth and efficiency made my stay even more memorable. From the delicious breakfast to the immaculate service, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Mitsui Garden Hotel to anyone looking for comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality in Japan. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!

Location itself is near multiple train stations and close to Ginza shops. Overall the rooms okay but felt as if AC was not working at night, despite being the lowest (the max is 20 degrees Celsius). We also found one time that the housekeeping staff turned out AC up to 25, which was not appreciated with 30 degree weather outside, and pajamas were not provided one night. I’d say the best thing is the location, but for the price I’d recommend going elsewhere as this did not feel like a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was nice.

We stayed here for the last two nights of our Japan trip. This was our most expensive hotel and we wanted to end on a high note. The hotel did not disappoint. It's feels very upscale and luxurious in all the main places of the hotel, and even in the rooms. The bathroom and shower seems a bit outdated compared to the rest, but still very clean. The only negative about the room is the pillows. They are very soft and feel cheap. I would expect much better pillows for a hotel of this caliber. The restaurant is very good for breakfast, it's worth it. Lots of food options and good coffee machine. The location is great. Very close walk to ginza six, Uniqlo flagship, and a Don Quijote. About 5 min walk to Ginza subway. A Lawson across the street. The service like everywhere in Japan is excellent. They are so helpful and speak good English. I think I would stay here again if I returned to Ginza.

If you want to relax and sleep in past noon, choose other hotel!!!! The last cleaning time is at 2pm, which I was not informed of at the check-in time. The reception told me that the cleaning time was stated in the hotel information sheet. This is ridiculous!!!!!!! No one sits down and carefully reads every hotel information given!!!!! It is a vacation, not examination!!!!!!! Other than that, the location is quite nice as it is one-minute away from Higashi-ginza station (but still, ginza station is more convenient). As for the 3-bed room, the floor plan is in the shape of "I" so the window space leaves something to be desired. The word "cramped" came to mind the minute I walked in the room. Most importantly, the cleaning service is subpar for 4-star hotel. They do not wash the used cups even!!!! I miss my maid back home!!!!

Super lousy hotel for the price. I did not request housekeeping, but happened to meet a cleaner in the housekeeping room opposite mine. I politely asked if she could pass me two bottles of water, and she said “ok” but never came back. Later, I heard noise outside and saw a staff member in a suit delivering luggage to the room next door. I asked her for the water again. Instead of a simple acknowledgment, she frowned and looked visibly unhappy, asking me to “wait a moment.” I never expected her to stop her errand immediately—just to bring the water when convenient. Why the unfriendly attitude? We are a group of 6 paying $400 per night for 9 nights, yet we were given tiny rooms with unpleasant views. One of our group members was even given a room with no window at all. For the amount we are paying, the experience has been extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth the price.

Japanese-style business hotel
Nestled in the heart of Ginza, Hotel Sunroute Ginza is a contemporary gem that perfectly balances modern comfort with traditional Japanese aesthetics. This stylish hotel offers warm and inviting rooms that may not be overly spacious but provide a cozy retreat after exploring the vibrant streets of Tokyo. Guests can indulge in delicious Italian cuisine at the on-site restaurant, which features a lovely terrace for al fresco dining.
Good sized rooms and they will provide a 3rd bed if you want 3 people in one room. I went here for my last day trip for my Japan trip and they had good service and nice location. It’s about a 9 minute taxi or 17 minute walk from the Tokyo station. They have an Italian restaurant right next on the first floor. It is a breakfast buffet but costs 2000 yen per person. They will hold you baggage. Overall, would rate this hotel 5/5 The only problem was that it is a bit far from major tourist locations like shibuya, shinjuku, and skytree
Keenan L — Google review
Hotel Sunroute Ginza was our final hotel during the trip, and overall it was a good choice in terms of location. It's just a short walk to train stations, public transport, shops, and the main streets of Ginza. The room was very small—especially for a family of four—but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had some issues: the toilet didn't flushed well and the bidet was of lower quality compared to other places we stayed. It was a bit challenging to manage in such a tight space, but the staff was kind and helpful. All in all, a decent stay in a great area.

Really nice hotel, close to the Ginza line which is virtually nearby all the major areas of Tokyo. Room is small but clean and well organized. Respectful staff. Room needs to be cleaned at least every third day, eco cleaning available. The hotel accepts receiving parcels from online shopping.
Bruno S — Google review
Good service, courteous staff. Room is comfortable. Breakfast features both Japanese and Western cuisine. Running a hotel is very challenging work. I hope future guests will behave/ continue to behave appropriately so the hotel is able to do it's service as intended.
Sheng A — Google review
The room was more spacious than expected, which was a nice surprise. However, it was quite dirty—there was dust and grime on the floors upon entering, mold on the bathroom walls, and a broken shower head. Since it was our last night in Tokyo, we managed for just one night, but overall the cleanliness was disappointing.
Nina — Google review
Small rooms but that’s par for the course. The location is in a weirdly awkward zone of at least 5-15 min walk from every train or subway station. Also 15 min walk from airport limousine stop at nearby courtyard Marriott. However their staff is helpful and membership rate gets you cashback and they do luggage shipping receiving and sending for you.
Curo C — Google review
We stayed for 3 nights and loved it! The room was very cozy and lots of light entering the room due to a corner room in 9th floor. The location was great as there are a few restaurants and shops around and walking distance to the subway is ~8min. Also, the internet was extremely fast. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was also cleaned evey day. I‘d definitely come back!
Stella — Google review
Great staff, delicious breakfast with good variety, clean rooms and bathrooms (although they are on the smaller side), and a great location. Close to many restaurants and grocery stores like 7/11, etc. Also a very safe area to be in with family and young children.

The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon is a luxurious hotel located in the upscale Toranomon area of Tokyo. The hotel offers elegant accommodations and chic dining options, including The Jade Room + Garden Terrace led by Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens. Guests can enjoy a sophisticated cocktail experience at the Gold Bar at EDITION.
That modern minimalist Japanese aesthetic shines through in this magnificent property. The service and hospitality is impeccable and down to the smallest details. I tend to leave a mess of a charging cable octopus next to my bed. I came back in, it was all properly tied neatly. The turn down service prepped my bed to really feel so inviting for the night’s sleep after a night out of town. The staff at the lobby are mostly multi lingual and offered easier communication. The view from my room is stunning, Tokyo Tower was up close offering a nice backdrop to such an enjoyable stay!

I stayed at The Tokyo Edition, Toranomon from September 19–24, 2025, and it was simply outstanding! ✨ After a disappointing experience at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, this hotel truly felt like balm for the soul. From the very beginning, everything was flawless: • The breakfast team was incredibly warm and thoughtful. When our window table was accidentally double-booked, they surprised us with a waffle decorated with “We wish you a wonderful day” – such a small gesture, yet so touching. • Hotel Manager Chiko Kitaoka was wonderful and kindly arranged a late check-out for us. • The concierge and front desk staff were always friendly, supportive, and genuinely attentive. • Our room was fantastic, with a breathtaking view over Tokyo. This stay exceeded all my expectations and became a true highlight of my Japan trip. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel – an unforgettable experience! 🇯🇵💫

We really wanted to love this hotel—but it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of our trip. During our stay, we tried to book a table for sunset at the lobby bar. What followed was a complete service failure. First, the bar reception told us it was first-come-first-serve and that reservations weren’t possible. We were shocked—last year, we had a confirmed reservation for the same bar at the same time. Later that evening, we asked again at the reception desk. The staff repeated the same line until we mentioned our Platinum and Gold status. Only then did he say he would “try” to see if he could reserve a table for us. When we asked if he could call us back to confirm, his response was unbelievable: he said he couldn’t call guests back and that we would need to message him through the app to follow up. At a so-called five-star hotel, this is absurd. The next day, we asked again—this time we were told the lobby was fully booked. Only after escalating to a manager did we finally get a table in our own hotel. The experience at Gold Bar was equally poor. Staff were inattentive and dismissive—we had to stand up to ask for service and even to request the bill. There were many other disappointing moments: • No recognition of our Bonvoy status at check-in. • No mention or attempt at an upgrade. • Staff tried to avoid offering our welcome drinks until we raised it At the spa, things weren’t any better. When we first inquired about massages, we were told the 60-minute option only covered the upper body. So we deliberately booked the 90-minute session to ensure a full-body treatment and specifically requested focus on our legs after weeks of walking in Japan. Despite this, the therapist spent less than ten minutes on our legs. For a 90-minute treatment, that is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for guest requests. You’d think by paying top-dollar you will get the epitome of modern Japanese luxury—but what you actually get is a team of poorly trained, young, non-Japanese, and often pretentious staff who have no understanding of true hospitality. At times, we felt like we were dealing with nightclub bouncers rather than five-star hotel employees. Inside the Edition Toranomon, you don’t feel like you’re in Japan at all. After a full month across Japan staying in properties of all levels—even small, family-run ryokans—we can confidently say that every other place treated us with more warmth, respect, and professionalism than this. Despite being a long-time Bonvoy member, I will look elsewhere for future high-end stays in Tokyo. Japanese-owned brands still understand what true hospitality means. Special thanks to Diego from Concierge who was the opposite and was very helpful throughout our stay.

Going to Tokyo, Just for The View out of This Window Nestled into the deep blue sofa by the window, I look up to see the familiar crimson glow of Tokyo Tower, poised between skyscrapers, bathed in the soft veil of sunset, like a red seal stamped across the skyline. In this quiet nook, time slows as clouds drift past the tower’s spire. For a moment, it feels like I’m holding all of Tokyo’s romance in my arms. I didn’t come here just for the luxury, or the name. I came for this view—for this precise frame of glass that turns the city into poetry. Staying at The Edition wasn’t about the brand; it was about waking up to this window, every morning and every dusk. Because sometimes, one perfect view is enough to make an entire trip worthwhile.
Leon T — Google review
This hotel is absolutely incredible. The Tokyo Tower Premier Guest Room is breathtaking — the photos truly don’t do the view justice. Seeing Tokyo Tower lit up from your room feels surreal. The hospitality at The Edition is on another level. Every staff member goes out of their way to make your stay special — kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. You can tell they take pride in every detail. You won’t enter without multiple staff greeting you with smiles and won’t leave without multiple staff saying bye and being there in case you need assistance. I honestly think this place should be rated higher. The design, energy, and views are unmatched. It’s modern, luxurious, and feels effortlessly cool. I’d 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.
Sonul G — Google review
I’ve been to Tokyo seven times, and this stay at The Tokyo EDITION easily ranks among the best experiences I’ve ever had—not just in Japan, but anywhere in the world. The hotel itself embodies quiet luxury: modern design, breathtaking views, and a calm, sophisticated energy. But what truly separates this property is the extraordinary level of service. Bradley, the restaurant manager, deserves special recognition. Breakfast each morning became the highlight of my day because of the way he led his team—with warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. Bradley’s professionalism set the tone for the entire experience; he made every guest feel personally cared for, remembering details and ensuring each meal felt exceptional. The hosts and staff followed his example perfectly—gracious, poised, and consistently attentive. Their collective effort made my two-week stay feel seamless and memorable from start to finish. After seven trips to Tokyo, I can confidently say that The Tokyo EDITION is now my go-to home in the city. I’ll be a client for life, thanks to Bradley and the incredible team that made this visit truly unforgettable.

⚠️ Warning: one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. Everything here was disorganized, and the front desk staff showed a complete lack of professionalism and care. When an issue arose during check-out, they were dismissive, unhelpful, and even made up excuses instead of resolving it politely. You’d think that by paying top-dollar you would experience the epitome of modern Japanese luxury — but what you actually get is a team of poorly trained, mostly non-Japanese, and surprisingly pretentious staff who have little understanding of true hospitality. At times, it felt more like dealing with nightclub security than employees of a five-star hotel. There was also a male Asian staff member at the night reception, wearing glasses, who lied to me repeatedly about several things that were simply untrue. His attitude and lack of integrity were completely unacceptable for a property of this supposed standard. To make matters worse, after I checked out, I left a gift at the concierge desk for my friend, even carefully writing their name on it to ensure proper delivery. The staff accidentally gave it to someone else, and it went missing. No one even apologized or took responsibility until my friend personally came to the hotel to locate it. This level of carelessness and disorganization is shocking for a so-called luxury hotel. I expected courtesy, honesty, and accountability — none of which were shown. It felt as though guests’ time and concerns didn’t matter at all. I had been genuinely looking forward to this stay, but the uncaring and disorganized attitude of the staff completely ruined the experience. There was also a female Asian manager on duty who I thought would show more empathy and understanding, but unfortunately, she was equally unhelpful and dismissive. I want to warn everyone — do not stay here. Your money and peace of mind are far better spent elsewhere. I truly hope management reflects on this and improves their service standards.

Very nice and new hotel. Staff service is ok, what you’d expect for a 5 star hotel. Some minor things can be improved with a bit more thought when those travelling with kids, sending a newborn crib for our 2 year old. They have 2 sizes available.

Hamacho Hotel is a contemporary accommodation in Tokyo, offering minimalist rooms and modern amenities. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, and chocolate shop for guests to enjoy. Situated in a Tetris tower with lush greenery on the balconies, this hotel provides a unique experience for travelers seeking affordable yet stylish lodging in Tokyo. The rooms vary in size, with smaller ones being efficient but suitable for light travelers.
We had a great experience at the Hamacho Hotel. The room is small, but adequate, the price is fair for the accommodation, and the bathroom is comfortable and very nice. It would be nice to have more wall hooks for coats and umbrellas. The service is excellent, with free water, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The location is also good, with a bus stop right in front and close to several subway stations, a supermarket and convenience stores, as well as good cafes and restaurants. Overall, it's a quiet place with a very pleasant neighborhood.
Iaskara P — Google review
Very beautifully presented hotel, staff are welcoming and helpful, amenities are left downstairs for you to freely take with you to your room, with a small section to make your own customised salt bath sachet. The only downside was the room we booked was a little bit on the small side. Considering we were only sleeping in there we couldn’t complain since it was clean and very presentable.
Al C — Google review
The overall customer service was good, and the staff were able to speak English well. The cons, however, are the location, the air-conditioning, and the room space. We booked their biggest room for 2 adults and 2 children, but unfortunately, the space was too small if you have two large suitcases — you could only fully use the two super single beds. Only one sleeping pillow was provided per adult, unlike other hotels that usually provide two. The bathroom basin was very low, more suitable for children, and the toilet height was uncomfortable for taller adults. They only provided two bottles of water for adults, with none for the kids, and towels were only supplied for the first night. When we requested extra water from the front desk to prepare milk on the second night, we were told to go to Level 4, but there were no jugs available to collect water. Normally, if there’s a water dispenser, shouldn’t the hotel provide jugs? How did the staff expect us to go all the way from Level 11 (our room) to Level 4 just to get water? The worst part was the air-conditioning! The airflow was extremely weak, and the lowest temperature setting was only 20°C — we were literally sweating after returning from outside or after a shower. Breakfast choices were limited and served only from 8:00am. to 10:30am., although they actually opened around 7:00am. Overall, we will not return to this hotel. It was a nightmare for our family, especially with kids, to walk from the nearest station.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean and I loved all the greenery around the building. The building next door was being renovated, however we didn’t notice this at all. The neighbourhood was super cute with lots of green spaces. Easy access to the trains as well. There is a grocery store across the street which made getting food easy.

Very clean, beautiful hotel. Extremely quiet, clean area. 10 minute walk to main stations, which can be a bit if you've walked 20k steps a day and you're wanting to get home, but you're paying for a clean, quiet area.

The service was fantastic at the front desk and extremely polite. M. Namiki was over the top helpful. The cleaning staff were very friendly, i had told them there was no need to clean the room one day and they put fresh towels and Japanese robes in a bag by our door anyway. That was very nice.

Really lovely hotel in a great location (many close stops for public transport and a short walk to lots and lots and lots of shops). Staff at front desk very nice and helpful, and check in was smooth. Amenities provided downstairs so you can pick out things you need. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. I didn’t order the breakfast as included when I booked but we ended up eating there most mornings and the breakfast buffet was spectacular with new foods every day and a great selection including food for vegetarians.

The hotel is good and in a nice location, but I want to share about the service. Never in my life I've witnessed such honorable behavior and service. A lady called Hasegawa from the front desk did above and beyond to help us with our luggage and walked 15 minutes with us just to try to help us transfer them to the next hotel. She was AMAZING!! We will never forget her. Staff like these take hotels to their next level. Thanks for everything!!

Stayed 3 nights on arrival, first time visitors. Welcoming, warm and professional staff. Wonderful breakfast selection. Just delicious. We paid for a standard room and it was fine for our needs. Good location for day trips to city locations. Tip, little ramen restaurant immediately around the corner is outstanding and well priced. Get in the queue, you won't wait long.

AC Hotel Tokyo Ginza is a sophisticated and modern hotel located in a prime area, offering minimalist rooms with city views. Guests can enjoy the AC bar's signature gin tonic with herb fragrance and delicious dining options at the restaurant. Additionally, the hotel offers a smoking place in the courtyard for guests' convenience.
Had a one night unexpected stay here due to a missed connection. The hotel location was great for us to try and see whatever we could before going back to the airport. The hotel is clean and modern. The room was just tiny but I’ve heard Japanese hotel rooms are tiny. The complimentary croissants in the lobby in the morning were delicious!

The hotel offers a truly pleasant experience. The rooms are spacious, well-organized, and impeccably clean, providing a relaxing environment in the heart of Ginza. The staff are consistently polite, professional, and very helpful, making the stay smooth and welcoming. However, it's important to note that the room rates are significantly overpriced, even when compared to other five-star hotels in Tokyo. While the quality is undoubtedly high, the value for money may not meet expectations for every traveler. If you're looking for a stylish and clean stay with excellent service in a prime location—and don't mind the premium price—AC Hotel Tokyo Ginza delivers.

My husband and I stayed here for part of our first trip to Tokyo and it was great. We got a King suite which was spacious and clean, complete with a sliding screen for optional privacy between the sink area and the room. We had a view of the city and the staff was very nice and accommodating. We also ate a dinner and breakfast here which was worth it and nice especially with how worn out we were after travel and a great way to start a different travel day. It is on the nicer side of Tokyo so it is a bit more expensive but it wasn’t far from restaurants and activities. We took a taxi and uber most everywhere which was easily accessible from right outside the door and it was also a short walk to the train and other places. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.

Very good hotel for a reasonable price (if that's possible in Tokyo). Rooms are reasonably sized for Tokyo and everything was clean and tidy. Beds are also good size and comfy. Location is great just two blocks from Ginza main street. One setback was a staff member who was unprofessional and rude. Other than that highly recommended

The rating of 5 stars was for a front desk staff called - Chihiro. Chihiro took her initiative to store away our luggage and purchases (in branded paper bags) in a more secluded area, when we needed the hotel to help us keep our bags after we check out. She is also the one who assisted me for my check in on the first day. Chihiro was different from all the other front desk staff of AC hotel who is genuinely warm and helpful. AC hotel front desk staff are not the most helpful in general.

I am just checking in and asking nicely to the Man in the front office today. He told me, not in an empathetic & rude manner, that I had to walk two blocks away to 7-Eleven. Then I walk around the back of the hotel and find a nice smoking room inside the Tour Cafe. He can tell me that I do not know if he does not want to help, but he misleads the guests who stay at the Hotel, which is something I do not value as good service from the Hotel. So, yeah, I had bad service from the man in the front office today.
Harry S — Google review
Reason to the low star rating. 1. Sound proof of the hotel is so bad that you can hear the noise from the subway underground even at level 5. If your room is facing the street, you can hear the noise too. 2. Requested for quiet & no corner room. When I double confirmed with the crew during my check in, the hotel staff said the room is ok. You won't find much about the noise review in google review but tried googling it and you find tons of complaints about the noise elsewhere. 3. I changed my room from lvl 3 to lvl 5 on day 2. Got into the lvl 5 room to this pathetic odor. Shouldn't this be a mandatory hygiene check? 4. Location is good as you can find good eateries and shops around. The hotel is same row as Courtyard ginza and Aloft.

All you need with the best value for money. Rooms are a bit larger than the Tokyo average, very clean with daily room make up, and just 2 mins walk from the subway. Desk people were also very helpful. They also let you keep the suitcases before arrival as long as you want

Room is small but able to open 2 luggages. They have a washing machine +dryer in the room which makes it easier for laundry anytime. We placed our clothes in the toilet if it doesn’t dry completely by the dryer. It dries faster in there overnight. Check in is at 3pm but you can check in early with a few of JPY1000/ person/ hour from 12 noon. We paid JPY6,000 for 2 pax to check in from 12noon. Hotel is at a location which is between Ginza and higashi-Ginza station. Higashi-Ginza station has direct train to/ from Haneda and Narita. They have lifts in that station which makes it easier to travel with our luggages.

The location is great, in the middle of the Ginza. It is close to different metro lines and many attractions in Ginza. Although we know the rooms are generally smaller in Tokyo this one felt extra cramped with its decoration. The room service and cleaning was at budget hotel level although the room prices were not.

I think the location is excellent for enjoying shopping in Ginza. There’s also the famous Kabukiza theatre nearby, so it’s a great spot if you’re planning to see a Kabuki performance. However, the breakfast felt quite simple, and the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak for my liking. That said, having a washer-dryer in the room is extremely helpful for travellers, so I really appreciated that.

Great location to explore Ginza and close to metro station. Room is not very clean especially the side table area is very dusty and hair is visible inside the table lamp.

If you are in town for business or travel and just need a place to put your things and sleep, this is a great hotel to stay at. The hotel doesn't provide many amenities and they don't offer housekeeping services if you stay less than 6 days. But they do offer an washer in every room, so if you want to just travel light and still have fresh clothes, its a great option. The room also comes with a trouser press. The hotel is right on top of the higashi-ginza station which offers the Asakusa and Hibiya line, and it's less than 5 mins walking from the Ginza station, so getting anywhere in the city is very convenient. The rooms are very small, so if you are staying with a family or even as a couple, I would not recommend booking here.

No drinking water provide, except garbage collection and towels replacement upon request, room turn down service need to be pay. This the first hotel I ever stay will only provide one room turn down service at the 7th night stay. Request for additional clothes hanger but I need to personally go down to reception to collect it by yourself. This will be the first and last I stay with you.

Second time in Ginza but I prefer this hotel compared to our last since they have a washing machine with free liquid detergent, unlimited teas and coffee. Near train stations.

Located in the heart of Tokyo, the Square Hotel GINZA offers modern and stylish accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The hotel features a cafe/bar, terrace, and Japanese-style communal bathhouses. It is situated in a district known for its fashion scene and business professionals, making it an ideal place for travelers to connect with locals. The hotel's concierge team is dedicated to helping first-time visitors explore Ginza.
I really enjoyed our stay in the executive twin. Whilst the room was small, this was expected in Tokyo. It was expectionally quiet and we had cleaning everyday. I think the room could have done with more hanging space (or removing the desk and replacing with a chest of drawers) but we managed for the four days we were there. The staff were very helpful and the location was fantastic for exploring Tokyo. The washing machines are useful but very busy so plan ahead and don't overload them!

The room is literally square and small size considered pricey for the price given. However that’s the price you pay for the location. Located pretty strategic in luxurious Ginza neighborhood. Service were great! Public bath was really convenient and proper with Dyson hairdryers 😝 Recommended for travelers who will spend most of their time traveling.

Location: This hotel is on a main road and easy to get to by many train stops. It also has coffee, restaurants, and stores. It is also not far from Ginza street, which is popular shopping strip. Staff: The staff was by far phenomenal. They were responsive when our flight was delayed. They were so hospitable and helpful. The Hotel: It was so clean. The Onsen was enjoyable after long travel or walking days. The rooms are the perfect size for a couple staying a short time. We would stay again. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We had bad experience with the service- the SC in our room Was not operated and we complained 3 times being replied we have nothing to do and open the windows (which is impossible due to huge noise from the road). When we did check out we asked the team to use the shower at the common area and we were refused. We spent 24 days in Japan and all other hotel were perfect with exceptional service level. This hotel is definitely different and I recommend not to book it!!
Nir F — Google review
The rooms are large and comfortable (once the AC fully engaged). Good beds and room to move around. The toilet is in a seperate room from the shower which is nice when travelling with a partner. The light in front of the washing area was motion sensitive so late night trips did light up the room. There was a door separating the washing area from the sleeping area so the effect was minimized. The laundry on the top floor was great, with three machines for use. Though some patrons left their close in one machine for a long time after their time ended monopolizing its use. Staff was super helpful, with a quick check in. They also helped us call and reserve two local attractions.

Very good and cozy hotel. Very good location. Very helpful staff. The breakfast is reasonable. Self-serve in cardboard dishes... The concept is different.. (It would be better if there were more choices for vegetarians). Also, I would expect the hotel management to allow a later check-out on the last day and at a nominal price for someone who has been a hotel guest for a week.. and has a long night flight (12 hours..) I would love to return to Japan in general.. to Tokyo in particular.. to Ginza of course and also to the hotel :)

Perfect location for your Ginza & Tokyo Trip. The hotel ist perfectly clean, modern and the staff ist very friedlich and helpful. The Prise seems ok for Tokyo standards. Personally, I am ok with small room size. That Windows were looking directly onto a wall ist maybe a downside but you don't want to spend too much time in your room visiting Tokyo, do you? The best ist the really great location near to the subway and only 15 min walk from Tokyo station.
Tobias Z — Google review
Great location right in Ginza. Good access to plenty of eateries and the rail facilities. Service is good, but while I was introduced to the hotel amenities, I asked about their bathhouse and their policy on going in with tattoos and I was told “no problem.” However, when I made my way to the public bath, I found a sign that said No Tattoos so I am a little disappointed (but this is the norm in Japan so I am also not surprised). An otherwise good hotel with decent service in right smack dab in the middle of Ginza.

A trendy hotel in Ginza, Japan, Aloft Tokyo Ginza offers a range of amenities including a 24-hour gym, a restaurant, and a rooftop bar with panoramic city views. Located in one of Japan's most expensive shopping areas, the hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the posh Japanese nightlife. Unlike some other areas known for their noisy and chaotic scenes, Ginza offers a more subtle and refined experience.
We enjoyed our stay at the Aloft Tokyo Ginza. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The location of the hotel was great. The rooms were a bit small, but we liked the fact that we couldn't hear guests in the adjacent rooms. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The gym was small but decent. We booked through the Marriott app and it was much more expensive than if we had booked through booking.com.

Trendy hotel located central Ginza. Staff were super friendly and fun to talk with. There are a few bars/eating areas at the hotel, but the downstairs bar was my favorite for a weekend stay! Live music and great drinks. Walkable access to major fashion brands, and very close to stations that will get you around Tokyo with ease. Will stay again when I visit Tokyo again!

Awesome hotel, right in Ginza. Easy to get to from the airport on the metro, the train stop is just a few minutes away. There is a Lawson right next to the hotel if you need snacks. Tons of luxury shopping one block away as well as the famous 12 story Uniqlo. The rooms are fairly small but very nice. The room was very modern & we loved it.The hotel has numerous benefits for titanium elite members including a welcome drink each day at the rooftop bar & free breakfast buffet in the restaurant daily. Highly recommend this stay for tourists visiting Tokyo!

The Aloft staff were incredible. We asked for a lot and they gracefully accommodated all our requests, from receiving packages before our check-in date, to doing an expedited check-in so we can make it to our dinner reservation on-time. Many thanks to all the team we really had a great stay. The breakfast was very good and included an egg station, and sushi, among other buffet items. The rooftop bar was cool and the gym had enough equipment for me to do my routine weight lifting workouts , with some improvisations. Location was great. Many thanks to Aloft team. Will visit again.

Our trip started off on a bad note. This was the first time we were traveling with our brother and his family with 2 kids. They left from the West coast, we left from the Midwest. Our first flight was cancelled, which meant we would arrive one day late. Called the hotel to arrange the arrival for 2 out of the 3 rooms. The front desk person, who spoke great English was super helpful. When we arrived the next day, everything went smoothly. The room is a bit smaller than the U.S. version but probably big by Japanese standards. The breakfast, as typical in Asia, includes both western and Asian options. You can even get fresh made onigari, stuff rice balls. Everyone loved the breakfast options. Rooms are quiet. The air conditioning worked well but felt a bit weak for us.

Really nice hotel, well located, breakfast amazing. And a special 5 stars rating for Hiro, a staff member at the breakfast. She is everything we like from Japan.

Within 5 min walk to several train lines. Decent Room. The open bathroom area is a bit odd if you need to change. Free Water Reusable Metal Bottles. Mostly higher end dining in the area.

Pros: - Great reception people - Nice location Cons: - We were on the 8thfloor, yet the furniture was so DUSTY. It was so obvious too since the furniture is mostly black. It shows me that housekeeping is poor. - On the black wall connected to the sink, there were white splatters all over (from face wash, soap etc). I wiped them away very easily with a wet towel, which again makes me wonder, why didn't housekeping do this? For the price, the room shouldn't be dirty like this

We stayed for 4 nights and we had such a great time. Excellent service from everybody at the hotel and the food was incredibly good at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The rooms were nice and comfortable which made our stay in Tokyo very relaxing. The hotel is located close to shopping and nightlife which was great too.

We stayed for 5 days and we had a wonderful stay. I specially wants to thanks Natsako who serves us evey morning breakfast with such a big smile and made our start of the day so special. We all really appreciate what she did for us. Kication od the hotel was perfect. Close to railway stations and shopping. Rooms are very clean and bedding was so comfortable. Rooms are decent size. If I come to Ginza back I will stay again here.

My husband and I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was spotless, I notice a lot when I stay in hotels and even the caulk in the bathroom was perfectly clean. Breakfast was great with an amazing view and they make an awesome cappuccino. Natsako at breakfast is so wonderful and kind. She was welcoming and gave us a hand drawn note with kind words and one morning I was just going to have the coffee that came with breakfast but she knew I wanted a cappuccino and surprised me with a cappuccino on her. I forgot to pack my skin care and they had it all there in the room too. I only have good things to say.

The hotel is spectacular. It has an unbeatable location, and the views from the rooms and breakfast are beautiful. But what's truly incredible is the service from the staff. We were in Tokyo on our honeymoon, and when we told them about our trip, they were incredibly attentive. One day, upon arriving at the hotel, we found a gift in our room. Another morning at breakfast, they drew a picture on our coffee cup with rose petals. It was truly an unforgettable experience. We will definitely return to this hotel.

We loved our stay. Excellent service from everybody at the hotel with extra care from Natsuko, the other restaurant and front desk staff. The food was incredibly good at the restaurant for breakfast with an early service time. The room was a nice size for a Tokyo based hotel, bathroom was spacious with adjustable height shower and a deep tub. The room was clean and cleaning service was excellent. The hotel is located close to shimbashi station with one stop to connect to Tokyo station. It located near tons shopping and nightlife which was great too.

We had a very nice experience at Hotel Celestine Ginza, staying for 5 nights. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable — I usually don’t sleep well when staying out, but here I slept nice every night. The Japanese breakfast was delicious, and the location is very convenient, close to both Shimbashi and Ginza stations. The entire hotel also smells pleasant. Most importantly, we truly appreciated the quality of sleep we had during our stay.

We stayed at Celestine Ginza from Monday to Friday, and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had. The beds and pajamas were exceptionally comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond in every way. A special mention goes to Natsuko in the restaurant, who made our stay unforgettable. Our group even took a picture with her during our visit. On the day we were leaving, she happened to be off, but she thoughtfully left a small photo with a handwritten note on our table. That gesture was so heartfelt and touched us deeply. The restaurent staff ‘Hisa’, the girl at the front ( forgot her name) and another gentleman were truly amazing. Every staff member we encountered was warm, kind, and genuinely happy, which made the entire atmosphere uplifting. Our stay at Celestine Ginza was nothing short of amazing, and we carry beautiful memories from it.
Kanwaljit R — Google review
This hotel sits next to a very busy street and it makes it hard to sleep at night. This is the worst part of this hotel. Every scream, every honk for all hours of the night. Bathroom has a running water noise that doesn’t let up. Room was non smoking but I can smell some minor smoke residue. Restroom toilet bidet seems to be malfunctioning. Shower hot water doesn’t get hot enough. Size of the room is smaller than other hotels I’d had at Ginza which were roomier, cheaper, and included in room laundry machine. If you can book somewhere else. This place is not a good deal.

The Super Hotel Premier Ginza is a 5-star hotel located in the Chuo Ward district of Tokyo. It offers comfortable, straightforward rooms with TVs and a natural hot spring bathhouse. The recently opened hotel is well set and equipped with high standard, making it a great choice for travellers looking to explore or travel in Tokyo.
Very nice hotel beyond my expectations! I didn’t have high expectations at this hotel, I only booked it as the other hotels nearby was fully booked, but it turned out to be a good decision! The room is very basic and bathroom is small, but they kept the condition very clean and tidy, and they also focus on other details to ensure they make up for the small size room. The pillow in the room is very interesting, firm and supportive, you either like it or hate it, I like the pillow. They also have other pillow options in the lobby if you don’t like the pillow in the room. All the hotel staffs are very friendly and polite, there’s subway entrance A7 in front of hotel directly to Ginza line, but it closes after 10pm. Overall highly recommended the hotel if stay in the Ginza area!

A warm and polished stay in the heart of Ginza. Visited: August 2025 as a family of four. Highlights – welcoming staff and spotless rooms – soothing rooftop hot spring – unbeatable location right above the subway. Pros Offers authentic onsen experience in central Tokyo. Ensures effortless sightseeing: Tsukiji fish market, Imperial Palace, and shopping streets are within walking distance. Provides 24/7 convenience with a FamilyMart right opposite. Cons Luxury shopping options nearby (Louis Vuitton, Tiffany) may feel more intimidating than inviting if you’re budget-minded. Room sizes, typical for Tokyo, are on the compact side. Insider Tips Start early and head to Tsukiji Outer Market for sushi—arguably the best breakfast in Tokyo. Stock up on fresh ramen kits at the FamilyMart; they’re a surprisingly delicious upgrade from instant noodles. Verdict Super Hotel Premier Ginza combines Japanese hospitality, an urban hot spring, and prime access to Tokyo highlights. Excellent value for central Tokyo.

This hotel was wonderful and relaxing. The smell when you first enter the hotel was so fresh like a spa, and they have a welcome drink bar from 5-9pm that was much needed after our long travel. The individually packaged skincare products were amazing too! I hope they eventually are able to sell to the US!

Hotel is super (punt).. Location is great. Staff are attentive, helpful and very pleasant. Room is clean, quite spacious in Japanese standard. What I love most is the public bath although the water is a little too hot. All amenities are provided. Can just bring along a suitcase of clothes.

Great location next to train station, nice small rooms(as expected). I appreciated the pillow options and all the extra options for your convenience. The welcome drink was lovely. The women’s Onsen was very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Laura C — Google review
This was our least favorite hotel from our stay in Japan. While the staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was a little bit of a let down for the price. It was our most expensive hotel, yet the bathroom was really small, the pillows were rock-hard, and there was only one elevator in the whole 14-story hotel which made us wait 3 - 5 minutes each time we wanted to go up or down. Additionally, the appliances were unplugged when we got in, so it was 90 degrees in the room when we checked in. We had to plug in the AC and turn it on, waiting several minutes before it became bearable. All of the things that we didn’t like about this hotel were not terrible, but all coupled together made it a less pleasant stay, especially for the price. Our hotels in other parts of Tokyo were cheaper and more pleasant.
Matt M — Google review
Super Hotel Premier Ginza used to be my go-to hotel in Tokyo, returned again this year and got very disappointed. Good: Friendly staff, welcome bar between 5:30-9pm, super convenient location. Bad: Got a room on 14th floor and the bathroom had a moldy odor from the vent. Onsen is supposed to be a plus, but rude fellow guest made it a big minus. Saw a person with cell phone (and shoes) in the onsen locker room, heard the phone camera in action. I told the person no cell phone allowed here. The person argued back "photo no capture", meaning the photo didn't captured anyone, I guess. I said the rule is no cell phone at all, need to follow the rules. The person ignored and gave an attitude face. This is unacceptable. Not really the hotel's fault, but totally bad experience.

The sheets and mattress were extremely dirty — this was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I found more than 20 hairs on the sheets and between the sheets and the mattress. The brown mattress appeared not to have been cleaned for months, with visible dust, hair, and other dirt. There was only one elevator even there are 14 floors of customer rooms.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world, having visited over 50 countries. We had the king suite on the top (44th) floor with a wonderful view, I'm not sure in this price class it even matters if it was "worth it" from a value standpoint, but it was certainly a wonderful experience. The included breakfast is among the best I've experienced anywhere, and the 250-year-old bonsai in the annex room of the lobby is an incredible thing to witness. The rooftop bar, as others have remarked, is nice, but it's hardly the centerpiece of the hotel. The service level is fantastic, surpassing the Peninsula and other high-end brands present in Tokyo. Technology is integrated thoughtfully in the room, and the level of building quality is insane in both materials and implementation, with windows that completely block any sound and seem likely to do withstand the apocalypse. The same is true of the level of sound control within the hotel, we probably could have had a rock concert occur in our room without the next room hearing anything. Upon checkout, the staff will happily walk you across the street to Tokyo Eki for your bullet train home or onward to your next destination, 90% of this walk from the hotel lobby to the shinkansen train platform being indoors and air conditioned... the location is astonishingly convenient. Though it can be challenging to get a seat at the omakase bar in the hotel for dinner, it is worth doing so, and the Hokkaido uni served here is the best I've had anywhere in the world. Yes, it is easy to spend over $10,000 US for a weekend stay here, and you could spend twice that with room upgrades and some ambition with the pricier sake bottles on offer, but you can't spend it when you're dead. Overall: worth experiencing at least once in your life.

Absolutely Exceptional Stay — A True Lifetime Experience From the moment we arrived, everything about Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo was perfect. The facilities, indoor pool, spa, and room all delivered an incredible sense of luxury and calm. Our room was serene, immaculately cleaned, and beautifully furnished — truly a retreat above the city. Every service throughout our stay was outstanding. The restaurants were another highlight — Il Ristorante’s dinner course was exquisite, with a sommelier and staff who provided flawless service. Breakfast there was just as delightful, and the afternoon tea was elegant and relaxing. We also had the privilege of dining at Sushi Hōseki, where the Omakase experience was unforgettable. The chef explained each piece in detail and even presented the fresh tuna purchased from the market that very morning — an amazing touch that made the evening truly special. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and now I’m already thinking about visiting other Bvlgari Hotels in the future. Strongly recommended — thank you to all the staff for creating such a remarkable and memorable stay.

My wife and I have stayed at many of the world’s finest hotels, and this ranks among the best. We chose it for our one-year anniversary trip to Tokyo, and it exceeded expectations. The design, rooms, staff, bar, and facilities all showed exceptional attention to detail. Also, Sushi Hoseki was delicious! When we encountered an issue with our Amex booking, Taka was incredibly helpful and considerate in resolving it. If you’re visiting Tokyo, this is the place to stay. My only concern? It deserves to be priced alongside the Aman—enjoy it while you can.

Absolutely loved this place! The view is breathtaking, the service is impeccable, and every detail feels luxurious. There’s a salt sauna, a steam room, and a classic dry sauna — all beautifully maintained. The space is filled with lovely details: French skincare products, creams, serums, toners, even hairbrushes — everything you might need is thoughtfully provided. It’s elegant, relaxing, and truly five-star. Can’t wait to come back again and again. 💆‍♀️🤍

We were staying at this hotel for 5 nights, and this is one of the best hotels we ve ever stayed at (i do have history of FS, Aman, Reschio etc) and I am a hotelier so I’m very confident in what i am saying. The hotel facilities, cleanness and food are impeccable but overall the service - probably one of the best in the world. I was reading negative comments and let me sum it up - it’s mostly made by people who have never even stayed here, they should be thought on who the reviews on the hotel are for. Nevertheless, I fully fully recommend this place for an ultimate luxury stay.

I am ending my final days in Japan after a 1 month trip. I chose to stay at this hotel after seeing some positive reviews and wanting to stay in the Ginza area. My room was comfortable and more than enough for 1 person. The bed is firm, but I prefer it that way, so no problem there. The staff are kind and professional. Overall I had a wonderful stay. The location of this hotel is great as well. Close to the station, convenience store, Donki and high end stores as well. I would love to stay again if I ever get the chance!

I have been to Tokyo so may times, and finding an affordable hotel with a decent sized room is almost impossible. This one hits the mark: clean, super quiet, perfect location, and decently sized room. I added the breakfast which is delivered to the room in a wooden box. Fun! First morning it was Japanese, second Western breakfast. Great shower room, separate toilet room, and humongous large bed. I’d come again! The lobby itself is nothing special and not a place to hang out, and staff isn’t the friendliest. Very business-like, but hey, who cares? I’d come back to stay here any time.

Staying at Karaska Hotel Ginza Premier was such a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location is extremely strategic—directly next to Don Quijote, only a short stroll to the famous Ginza shopping street, and with a Family Mart just around the corner. What really impressed us was the convenience: no need to switch elevators to reach the rooms. The mini lounge was another highlight, offering unlimited drinks and snacks, as well as an alcohol counter where guests can enjoy up to two glasses with their access card. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious compared to most Tokyo hotels, and the twin beds were generously sized and very comfortable. But the most memorable part of our stay was the warm hospitality. Special thanks to Intan from the reception team—her assistance made our stay smoother, and since she is also from Indonesia, we felt a little piece of home in Tokyo. Without a doubt, we will be staying here again on our next trip to Tokyo.

A very nice hotel. Friendly staff. The entrance is on a side street, through a sliding door. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Reception is at 2 desks. A small lounge with snacks, some food & drinks. Bottle water in the fridge, as well as 2 bottles in your room each day. 2 sample servings of sake or wine per person per day, 5 to 10pm. Breakfast in bento box outside your door. Our room was good size. No drawers for cloths, we just live out of our suitcases. A safe & fridge inside drawer. Large TV in room. Typical bidet in bathroom. This one with heated seat. Kettle & coffee maker in room. Plenty of AC & USB outlets. Slippers. PJ's, toothbrushs, combs, razers, etc are provided in room. Umbrella at entrance for use. Close to a major street with high-end stores, as well as good price shopping. Around the corner is a discount and grocery stores. There are restaurants in the area.

Just stayed here for 3 nights as our first stop in Japan. Amazing hotel, a few of the highlights: 1. Location is excellent, not too busy but just a few minutes from Shimbashi station which has several JR and metro lines. Also a family mart, supermarket, and Don Quixote right around the corner. 2. Room was very spacious, we had the double twin, the shower was amazing, and a nice deep bathtub. 3. Blackout curtains that work well to make the room dark. 4. Climate control works to keep the room at a comfortable temp (my wife cant stand when a room is too hot) 5. Great snacks/drinks on the premier floors, plus also in the lounge on 2nd floor. Coffee /tea pods machine in the room plus a kettle.

K5 is a trendy boutique hotel located in Kabuto-cho, housed in a former bank building from 1923. The hotel features stylish rooms and suites designed by Swedish architecture firm Claesson Koivisto Rune, incorporating curved cedar walls, colorful window panels, and abundant greenery. The property boasts a fashionable restaurant called Caveman, which offers a diverse menu focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking methods like smoking and fermentation.
Wonderful area of Tokyo to stay in - near Ginza and Ginza line - plenty to see and do nearby. As for the hotel - it’s stunning with great dining / bar options and the service was exemplary. K5 room a very good size and quiet. The decor is super. We stayed 4 nights after 3 nights in Shinjuku - so glad we stayed in Nihombashi - a much better area. Loved staying at the K5 and would stay here again.

We stayed at the K5 3 times in the past year (our latest stay having been last June) and every time we left even more impressed than the last. From their attentiveness during the booking process to their high level of service during our stay, the staff really went above and beyond any time that they could. We’ve stayed in a standard room, and both versions of the K5 room, we haven’t been disappointed by any of the options. The record player with hi-fi speakers and Bluetooth equipped amp were an awesome touch…The K5 is in a cozy location to come back to after spending the day exploring Tokyo. Would recommend anytime if you’re in the city.

The hotel has a beautiful design, we really enjoyed the atmosphere during our stay. Everything is very well thought through. Sadly the highway runs directly behind the Hotel and it was so loud during the night, which made it a disappointment and less enjoyable, since we got woken up 2-3 times every night.

Beautiful room and hotel! Hotel breakfast with waffle and coffee was yummy as well. Certain elements in the bathroom and room design were impractical like very low table in bathroom making it a bit harder to get ready and no chargers on both sides of the bed (only one side) and no TV in the room. All in all though a nice getaway if you’re looking to unplug and have a more artistic escape.

We loved staying at the K5. It has a relaxed boutique hotel vibe, but every comfort you could want and a really great team of people delivering the experience. Our room was perfect - a joy to return to after a long day in Tokyo. We appreciated the mini bar and snacks and the very comfortable seating area. We loved the yukata robes so much that we bought some to bring home. It is rare to be able to properly relax in a hotel room. The bar is intimate and cool with great bar tenders. When we hopefully return to Tokyo we will choose the K5 again.

Stayed here 5 nights, could't recommend it enough. Great rooms. The property used to be a bank and the architect has brought a beautiful neo vintage vibe to the hotel, by keeping the bones and adding to it. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and the staff is simply lovely. Highly recommend.
Aman B — Google review
Pleasantly surprised by how children friendly this hotel is! We loved everything about this stay. Super delicious tea and snacks in the room. Only negative, building shakes every 30 minutes from the train nearby. It’s like tiny earthquakes. Nothing K5 can do about it, but it’s a bit annoying at night!
Aneta K — Google review
Nestled toward the top of the Nihonbashi financial hub by the Nihonbashi-gawa River, and sitting directly across from the Tokyo Stock Exchange, is a bank that has been reincarnated as a hyper-stylish boutique hotel called the K5. Repurposing its former industrial structure as raw materials almost as an artistic statement, the hotel nevertheless feels meticulously thought-through to be a pleasure to stay at. One of the first things you will likely notice upon being ushered into the cafe for check-in are the plants. They are everywhere, and range from giant monstera plants to small ferns and cacti growing out of old shoes. The next thing that will become clear is how hyper-designed the hotel is, down to the smallest detail. Stepping into the room and looking up at the trademark blue gradient curtains encircling the bed while a Roger Eno album pings gently on the record player was a stunning experience. The bathroom is equally surprising with a light in the middle of the mirror that dims from red to a pale pink. There are no less than four dimmer switches to control the bathroom lighting. The curation of books, furniture, and toiletries - several of which appear to be collaborations with trendy brands - all create a feeling that you are staying someplace truly special. This is ambience with a capital A. Besides the cafe, which features a limited but creative menu, the hotel also features a restaurant and cocktail lounge, neither of which I had time to try unfortunately. But the style and atmosphere of the hotel clearly permeates through each one of them. Service is also top-shelf. Several times the front desk staff - young, helpful, and sophisticated - were able to answer questions about the surrounding area, make recommendations and accommodate a few special requests. A few quirks to mention: there is no central heating due to the underlying structure, but Dyson heater/fans are available upon request. The heated seats and warm water for the washlets are also apparently turned off beginning in May for the warmer months so if you are there during the shoulder/tsuyu seasons, you can ask for them to be turned back on. Finally the waterfall shower tends to get water all over the bathroom - a rare example of the design feeling more like form over function - but using the handheld shower alleviates this. A few tips: rooms can be sparse so book well in advance, and note the area, which is mostly a business district, meaning konbini and train stations are slightly further away than many hotels in Tokyo. Finally, plan on taking lots of photos. The K5 is truly one of the vibiest places I have ever stayed, in Japan or anywhere else.

Nestled in Tokyo's Koto Ward district, ulu Tokyo is a 4-star hotel offering free WiFi and a concierge service. The property is conveniently situated within walking distance of notable landmarks like the Monument of Electric Experiment at Hiraga Gennai and Shibusawa Eiichi Taku Monument. Some rooms feature balconies with city views, providing guests with an attractive setting to enjoy their stay.
Obsessed - fourth time in Japan and I called my husband to say this is the only place we’re going to stay going forward. It’s a 10 min walk from the train station over the bridge but considering we walked 5-10 mi a day, what’s 10 more min? The room was huge and had an awesome view, especially at the rooftop. My mom loved that they had wine out at the front desk at check in. They also provided drinks and snacks in the room! The morning pour over, in-suite coffee was such a classy touch. Awesome shower/bath/toilet set up. Made breakfast in the morning before heading out because of the kitchen. Just 10/10.

superb room and service from employees. room was spacious and clean, with a variety of in-room amenities, including a free welcome gift of wine and snacks- very nice. closest station is around a 12 minute walk, no issue there. convenience store nearby, easily accessible. very nice location to take casual strolls. superb staff, an employee tatsuki (ty) even went out of his way to personally help my group navigate around the immensely busy train stations, that can be a bit difficult to decipher first time around. also helped with the luggage forwarding system and filling out paperwork. overall, very friendly and welcoming employee since first night stay. loved ulu tokyo, highly recommend for anyone's first time here in tokyo.

Ulu Tokyo is an exceptional place to stay. The apartments are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome — truly some of the most accommodating people I’ve ever met. Its location strikes the perfect balance: peaceful and away from the city’s busiest areas, yet just a short walk or train ride to all the attractions, dining, and amenities Tokyo has to offer.

We chose Ulu Tokyo Hotel because of all the glowing reviews, and honestly, it lived up to the hype! The room was super spacious, which is rare for Tokyo. Since we were traveling as a family of four and booked pretty last minute, we got a 2-bedroom studio, and it was perfect. There was an open kitchen, a cozy living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a separate toilet. The unit even came with a washing machine—being able to cook and do laundry in our room felt like such a luxury! It was like my dream setup for a Tokyo stay. One of the best parts about the room was how spacious it was—you could open multiple big suitcases at the same time without feeling cramped, which is a huge plus, especially in Tokyo where space is often limited. The hotel welcomed us with a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh coffee beans, which we could use for the drip coffee setup in the room—such a nice touch! Plus, our room had a beautiful view of the river, which we loved. Housekeeping was every other day, and they’d take out the trash, clean the room, and give fresh towels, but they didn’t make the beds. For us, that wasn’t a big deal and worked just fine. Another convenient feature was the nearby 7-Eleven, just a very short walk from the hotel. It was perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything else we needed quickly. The only downside was the location. It’s about an 800m walk to the nearest subway station (H line), and you have to cross a bridge with stairs, so it’s not the easiest if you’re traveling with elderly family members. That said, the view while crossing the bridge made the walk enjoyable for us. Overall, Ulu Tokyo is definitely a hotel we’d stay at again next time we’re in Tokyo. Highly recommend it if you’re traveling with family!

We capped off our 2 week stay in Japan with 2 nights at this Andaz. It's pretty easy to get to via Subway which is always nice. The interior of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The service from check-in to check-out was phenomenal. We did room service and the breakfast buffet and all the food was excellent. My only knock would be that our TV didnt have any streaming capabilities at all, and it was unexpected for being such a nice property. But overall, still a stunning stay!

We had a great 2 nights stay here. Nice location for us, really easy access to Hibiya line and Ginza line. All the staffs are kind and helpful, exceptional service. Room: Stayed in the Sky Suite, amazing view of Tokyo Tower with no blockage at all. Room is spacious and beautifully designed. Love the B&O sound system. Service: Very good. Staff are polite, everything handled smoothly and efficiently. Restaurant: Had dinner at Tavern and the Sushi, both were excellent with great service. Also visited the rooftop bar, Leo was such a delight, very professional and friendly. Location: Great location in Toranomon Hills, easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. The hotel has opened for quite a while but is super well maintained. Andaz has its perks but still The UB would be my favourite hotel at Toranomon Hills because of their impeccable service.

We stayed 4 nights and it was lovely. I enjoyed the gym and pool. The room was spacious and the service was fantastic. We had breakfast every morning and it was delicious and seemed to have high quality ingredients, lots of options as well. It was a little difficult navigating to the hotel, especially on the first day. The subway station was about a 5 minute walk and i appreciated that it wasn’t in the smack of town. Made it quieter. Everything was high quality down to the hair dryer they offered - I will definitely be staying again when I visit Tokyo.

Absolutely incredible service. I accidentally lost my ring during my stay, and the staff went above and beyond to locate it and return it to me. Their attentiveness and kindness were truly on another level. From the warm greetings to the thoughtful follow-up, every interaction felt genuine and personal. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s the people who make it truly exceptional. Highly recommend Andaz Tokyo — they define what real hospitality means.

What a wonderful experience at the Andaz. Stayed here only for a night. Booked through Hyatt Rewards, 40,000 points for a King Bedroom and to our surprise, the hotel generously upgraded us for no charge to a 2 bed room suite on the 47th floor. The hotel and rooms are beautifully designed, perfectly appointed artwork, furniture and design. Staff are helpful and warm from the moment you walk into the 1st floor bellman station to the guidance to the 52nd floor lobby to check in. Breath taking views from our room and any room since the hotel occupies the top floors. You don't need to fight for a time to go to Shibuya Sky because your room is just as high. You can see Tokyo Tower from some of the public spaces. Hotel and area are very quiet and quaint compared to the rest of Tokyo. Nestled inside a business forward area versus a tourist forward area like Shinjuku, Ginza or Shibuya. There is a near by train ride, but you are not off the main Yamamote line. Tokyo Station is less than 10 minutes away by taxi/uber.
Christine N — Google review
Arriving with no expectations, I was wonderfully surprised. The reception is on the 51st floor, and to reach the rooms you take a different set of elevators—plus there's a hidden elevator to the rooftop... it all adds to the unique atmosphere. The hotel is of a high standard, both in terms of service and overall quality. Cleanliness, room amenities, spaciousness – everything was a big plus. Breakfasts were strictly European, but everything was very tasty. Personally, I missed a touch of local cuisine, though the quality was impeccable. The drinks at the rooftop bar were delicious, with an added surprise – a waiter who served us in Polish. The afternoon treats in the lobby were another pleasant experience. The staff’s attention to guest comfort is definitely one of the hotel’s strong points. According to my child, the pool was also top-notch. Thank you for a lovely family stay – we’ll be back if the opportunity arises. PS, the view of Tokyo Tower – simply priceles

The Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills is not just a hotel — it’s a living gallery that captures Japan’s artistic soul through contemporary design. Every corner reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and cultural storytelling, where tradition and modernity coexist seamlessly. The aesthetic journey begins the moment you step inside. The warm interplay of walnut wood, bronze accents, and washi paper textures creates a calm yet sophisticated atmosphere. Each material feels intentional, speaking to Japanese minimalism and the art of restraint. Even the elevators are transformed into installations — featuring intricate three-dimensional washi artworks by Tetsuya Nagata, inspired by traditional wooden molds used in wagashi making. Throughout the public spaces, natural light and handcrafted details invite quiet appreciation. The lobby’s “Infinite Universe” wood mosaic by Shigemitsu Kotaka anchors the space, while subtle lighting enhances the organic textures of stone and paper. Guest rooms continue the dialogue between nature and design, framed by panoramic city views that turn Tokyo’s skyline into a living canvas. Deep soaking tubs and clean architectural lines further echo the Japanese philosophy of balance and renewal. What makes Andaz Tokyo special is its authenticity. The collaboration with local artisans ensures the space isn’t just beautiful — it’s meaningful. Every element has a story, from the handcrafted kumiko patterns to the rooftop bar inspired by traditional teahouses. For art and design lovers, Andaz Tokyo is a masterpiece of sensory and cultural harmony. It’s a place where you don’t just stay — you experience Tokyo through light, texture, and craftsmanship.

Aman Tokyo is a luxurious hotel located in the Otemachi Tower, offering contemporary rooms and Italian dining with stunning city views. The hotel's design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese residential structures, incorporating classic materials like timber and Washi paper with modern technology. Managed by Aman, it features 84 rooms and suites, each offering unique layouts and modern amenities. The hotel also boasts a lounge on the 33rd floor, providing an extensive cocktail selection and a menu featuring both Western and Japanese classics.
Aman Tokyo has become our favorite hotel in Japan. The room was gorgeous with clean modern minimalist decor and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Tokyo skyline and Imperial Gardens. The common areas were serene and luxurious, the pool was gorgeous and the gym was very well equipped. The wonderful breakfast was made even more special by Niccolo, the assistant manager at the restaurant. Everyday he would remember all our modifications and preferences from the days before and was very welcoming, epitomizing the best in five star service. Also, special callout to the person managing the pool who surprised us with drinks and treats at our chaise lounge while we swam. Thank you for a lovely experience!

They used to allow you to go see the lounge. However this time we approached and were asked how many in our party. We said 6. They suddenly told us that only 3 were allowed up at a time and the other 3 would have to wait. So 3 of us started behind while being watched by an employee. Meanwhile we saw many groups of people (who were also just visiting) go up with their entire group. Not sure why we were targeted but it didn't feel good. The lobby and hotel itself are beautiful. You just might not be treated well if you're picked on like we were

This is an amazing place and I highly recommend you to visit it. We have been here on dinner only and had great experience. Food was good, dessert and drinks as well. View from the restaurant is very nice, as you can see great parts of Tokyo. It looks pretty romantic during the night time. Everything is very well maintained here and it looks like they are paying attention on every detail.

Great hard product. Concierge needs big improvement to be useful to guests. To me, Aman's core value prop is absolute peace of mind. Every little life-detail is handled seamlessly so you can truly focus on what matters. I stayed at Aman Tokyo for over a week on a work trip, and the hard product was nothing short of spectacular. The base room is easily among the largest in Tokyo, with an interior design and stunning skyline views that combine to give an incredible sense of the location (a rarity among increasingly bland global chains). It certainly made me *feel* like I was in the heart of a metropolis. The room itself was spacious enough to host a small group comfortably, with a thoughtful seating area and well-curated amenities. Room service was solid and consistently good. Breakfast was an absolute highlight. I stuck with the Japanese set and added fruit on the side. Invited a group of friends over last minute no issues - plenty of seating. After noticing I enjoyed mangoes, the restaurant team began adding a plate of cut mango to my meal every morning without me asking. This is classic Aman intuitive service. The gym was excellent: well-equipped, always quiet, and a joy to use. I was able to keep my routine effortlessly. I also swam three times during my stay, and the pool was similarly serene and uncrowded. The main letdown, however, was the concierge. They mishandled a reservation date and couldn’t secure tables at the high-end sushi spots I requested. I ultimately had to rely on a private concierge service for one reservation and even DM'ed a chef directly on Instagram for another. I was left feeling pretty frustrated having to coordinate all this ahead of my trip. At a lesser property, this would be forgivable, but at a 6-star hotel, where convenience and seamless access are the very things you’re paying for, it’s a serious miss. For me, this was a significant strike against the otherwise stellar experience.
Su G — Google review
Having a wonderful time here. Immaculate and on point rooms, service quality is excellent as would be expected! Special shout out to Niccolo Brachelente at Arva, while service here is expected, he goes beyond the expected. He’s super attentive and proactive, anticipating our needs even before we began to ask for anything. An example, would be my wife having a slight sniffle and a tissue box appeared soon. My coffee getting cold and a fresh cup appeared immediately. He sets a very good example for the other staff to emulate. Am truly appreciative of his efforts and also of course the rest of the team here.

Tokyo Station is situated in the old downtown area of the city, known as Shitamachi, which dates back to the 17th century. It is home to the Imperial Palace, Marunouchi business district, and upscale Ginza shopping and entertainment area. The neighborhood offers a more serene atmosphere compared to other trendy districts like Shinjuku and Shibuya. The station serves as a primary entry point for travelers arriving via Shinkansen or Narita Express.
Outstanding connectivity, excellent maintenance, and seamless access to nearly every part of Japan. The signage system is the best, you’ll find helpful signs at every step, making navigation incredibly easy. My return flight was from Narita Airport, which is quite a distance from Haneda Airport. I took the Narita Express from Tokyo Station. It was super convenient and dropped me directly at Narita Airport Station, which is connected to the terminals. The frequency is good, and it’s one of the best options compared to taking a taxi or a bus.
Tanzim K — Google review
By far the most intricate and very well designed section of the Tokyo Metropolitan area. This building was very popular with crowds and still offered many great locations for shopping and dinning. The bustle of the building was very quick but the directions were almost always in English. This is a must see in Tokyo!
Kyle M — Google review
Tokyo Station is more than just a transportation hub—it is a historical and architectural landmark that represents the heart of Tokyo’s rail network. Conveniently located in the Marunouchi district, this station serves as a central gateway to the rest of Japan, connecting local JR lines, subways, and the Shinkansen (bullet trains) to major cities across the country. One of the most striking aspects of Tokyo Station is its beautifully restored red-brick Marunouchi building, originally opened in 1914. The Renaissance-style architecture stands in charming contrast to the ultra-modern skyline that surrounds it. Inside, the design pays homage to its history while incorporating modern amenities and world-class efficiency. Beyond transportation, Tokyo Station is a destination in itself. The underground shopping complex—Gransta and Tokyo Character Street—offers everything from gourmet bentos and local delicacies to exclusive souvenirs and character goods. Whether you’re a traveler or commuter, the station delivers a seamless experience with clear signage in English and other languages, clean facilities, and exceptional service. Tokyo Station also provides direct access to important business and cultural districts, including the Imperial Palace, Marunouchi’s upscale offices and boutiques, and nearby Nihonbashi. Its connectivity and location make it an ideal base for both tourists and professionals. Despite the hustle and complexity, the station is surprisingly navigable once familiarized, thanks to its efficient layout and helpful staff. It’s advisable to allow extra time during your first visit, especially if you’re catching a Shinkansen or transferring between platforms. In summary, Tokyo Station is not only an architectural gem but also a marvel of Japanese engineering and organization. It exemplifies Japan’s attention to detail, respect for history, and commitment to quality service—making it a must-experience landmark in the capital.
Tan P — Google review
Tokyo Station seamlessly blends historic charm with modern efficiency. Its grand red-brick Marunouchi facade dates back to 1914 and was meticulously restored in 2012, complete with elegant domes and neo-Baroque details—including eagle and zodiac sculptures. It’s a must-see landmark in the heart of Tokyo.
Arif A — Google review
5 stars for the station, 3 stars for user errors! First-time visitors—use Google Maps! The Metro and Train stations are stacked, and it can be daunting for newcomers. After one night (and three hours getting lost solo), one day facing my travel traumas, and another day making only minor mistakes—I finally feel confident I won’t get lost again. It’s very complex for foreigners, yet incredibly organized and impressive. Pro tip: No talking on any rail system. It’s part of their culture to respect communal spaces—even if you’re shoulder to shoulder with five strangers during rush hour. A must-experience—unless tight spaces and touching strangers aren’t your thing.
Sarah S — Google review
Crowded station confusing for foreigners, but the best to board a speedtrain (shinkanzen) or to go to Narita. For shinkanzen or bus to Narita ask the taxi to go to Yaesu side. For Narita express train you have to go to the opposite Marinouchi side! Be at the station well in advance. Speedtrains to various destinations depart every 10-15 min, do not bother with seat reservation. Nozomi cars 1-2 are not reserved, 1-6 Hikari, Kodama. You can board Nozomi with railpass (no check onboard). Every car has luggage space for large suitcases behind the first/last seat row. There are small waiting rooms with AC and small shops on the platforms. Buses to Narita depart from the Yeasu side bus station stand No 7 every 10 min (1500 JPY). Tickets are not sold in advance, same day tickets only. At nearby counter booth you can pay in cash or card. To buy ticket on the bus you need IC Suica! For Narita express train it is best to buy in advance (reserved seat needed) at a machine assisted by staff, as it is tricky for foreigners (as online). The machines for Narita train tickets are placed on both sides of the station. Crossing from one side of the station to the other is a long walk (10 min) in crowd, so arrive at the suitable side.

Tokyo Station is one of the busiest places I’ve ever been, but somehow it all runs like a well-oiled machine. It’s a perfect example of controlled chaos — thousands of people moving through the space, yet everything is clean, organized, and remarkably efficient. I was honestly overwhelmed at first, but once I took a breath and followed the signs, it all started to make sense. The amount of food available inside is almost ridiculous (in the best way). PLENTY of options, which is on I believe the East? side of the station. Along with a row of giftshops, I forgot what they called it, but you can't miss it. From quick snacks to full meals, you could easily get lost in the station’s many underground food halls and still not try everything. There’s a lot to explore, so arriving early is a smart move, especially if you're unfamiliar with the layout. It gives you time to find your platform, maybe grab a bite, and even store your bags. Speaking of which, the locker system is amazing — easy to use and super convenient if you’re carrying luggage or shopping bags. I had a Shinkansen to catch, and the reserved seats were a lifesaver. I used a kiosk to print my ticket, which saved time and stress. Despite the crowds, Tokyo Station delivers a smooth, well-managed experience. It’s intense, but it works.

InterContinental the Strings Tokyo, an IHG Hotel offers a comfortable stay with two restaurants, a cozy bar, and a gym. The standard rooms provide efficient use of space and offer picturesque views of Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Tower, and Shinagawa Station. However, light sleepers may want to avoid the Shinagawa view due to train noise. Lofted rooms provide perfect spots for enjoying city lights.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The rooms are quiet, a decent size with modern decor, and in excellent location with a pedestrian bridge attached to Shinagawa station. The restaurant and bar are great. What makes this hotel stand out is the phenomenal staff. They are extremely friendly and professional. Their attention to detail and care for their guests is on another level!

The Strings by Intercontinental Hotel in Shinagawa offers a fantastic location with excellent connectivity to Haneda Airport and Tokyo Station. Its central positioning makes it a convenient choice for travelers, and the spacious rooms add to the comfort of the stay. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The air conditioning was not particularly effective, requiring me to request a fan in the middle of the night. Additionally, during summer, only two small water bottles (500ml each) were provided daily, which was insufficient. I had to request extra bottles every night—something that could easily be addressed with a more generous allocation. On the positive side, the view from room 3135 was stunning, offering a scenic glimpse of Haneda Airport and the mesmerizing sight of planes landing through a large glass window. It was truly a highlight of the stay. One detail that puzzled me was the inconsistency in room rates. Despite booking four consecutive nights, the second night was priced 350 yen higher than the rest, without a satisfactory explanation. While the amount itself was small, it raised questions about pricing policies—whether this is a standard practice in Japanese hotels or a broader global phenomenon. The breakfast experience was exceptional, thanks to the warm and attentive Nepali staff, especially Minato-san, who handled requests with patience and professionalism. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a variety of healthy choices and a great selection of buffet items, all enjoyed under natural sunlight filtering from the top of the building. A special mention to Tanaka-san at the front desk, who kindly accommodated an early check-in, making the arrival experience seamless and welcoming. Overall, The Strings by Intercontinental Hotel provides a comfortable and well-located stay with breathtaking views and excellent service. With some tweaks in air conditioning, water supply, and pricing transparency, it could truly elevate the guest experience.

Beautiful hotel, stayed in the city view room and it was a very large size room compared to other hotels we stayed at across Japan. As we don’t fit the usual demographic of someone staying here, I did feel that when we entered the initial lobby we were questioned rather a lot if we were guests of the hotel. Although I could be looking into it too much. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and it was great to receive a 2pm late check out before our red-eye flight. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

An Exceptional Experience – The Best InterContinental I Have Ever Visited As an IHG Diamond Member and InterContinental Ambassador, I frequently stay at IHG properties worldwide, but The Strings InterContinental Tokyo has truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment of check-in, the hotel presents itself as a serene oasis in the heart of the city – perfectly connected yet incredibly tranquil. The service is outstanding. Every team member demonstrates professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth. A special mention goes to Aye Htel, who assisted us with the check-in in the Club Lounge and provided flawless service throughout our five-night stay, from start to finish. Aya Datra also delivered exceptional service, ensuring every detail was perfectly attended to. The drinks, the stunning views, and the meticulous attention to detail created an unforgettable stay. I have rarely experienced such a high level of hospitality. For me, this is the finest InterContinental property I have visited, surpassing even the Downtown Los Angeles location. We will most certainly return.

We loved our stay! It's has direct access to thr subway (albeit difficult to find coming in for the first time), so it's far enough out and quiet while being accessible to the other neighborhoods. The rooms were so nice, breakfast was 10/10. We also enjoyed the themed afternoon tea. They also organzied our luggage transfer to the next city. Loved everything!

The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo was the perfect mix of comfort, luxury, and genuinely thoughtful service. The rooms were sleek, quiet, and had an awesome view — everything felt high-end but still relaxed. Big shoutout to Kenny, who was so kind and helpful. Not only did he make us feel super welcome, but he also gave us some terrific pointers on Japanese anime locations to check out. Honestly, his tips made our trip way more fun — we got to visit spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. The location was super convenient for getting around Tokyo, and everything from check-in to checkout was smooth. If you’re into anime, want great hospitality, or just want a really comfortable stay in Tokyo, this place checks all the boxes. Kenny especially made it memorable.

Lovely hotel adjacent to the Shinagawa Station (accessible directly on elevated walkway) in Central Tokyo. Rooms are clean and very comfortable, and international size and style. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Perfect location for quick access to a major train station (local and Shinkansen), with local shopping, restaurants at the station and in the general area. Highly recommended!

Hotel Gajoen Tokyo is an upscale lodging that offers elegant rooms and a range of amenities. As a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, it boasts chic decor with delicate touches of Japanese traditional aesthetics. The hotel, established in 1931, is known for its fantastical design and houses an art gallery. With seven restaurants, a library, and beautiful gardens featuring waterfalls and koi ponds, guests can enjoy top-notch facilities.
The hotel is beautiful, room was very spacious and comfortable, every possible detail thought of. Our room had ample closet space for a family of 4, gorgeous washroom with every possible toiletry provided (including face cleanser, toner, lotion, face masks - amazing quality). We loved the extra touches like comfortable bathrobes and pyjamas, the nice aroma throughout the hotel. The breakfast spread was amazing - do not miss it. We like the quite location away from the hustle and bustle but still very easy to get everywhere and access subway/trains.

Hotel is gorgeous! Staff is less impressive… The non-Japanese staff need some more training. Some of them were arrogant and not too polite. Breakfast is fine, but hotel in this level that replied a simply NO to the request to have only an egg-white omelette, is pretty much unacceptable in this age. At the executive lounge, all other guests received a nice warm OSHIBORI (wet towel), got a cheap one time use napkin… Hope this hotel will re-open again in the future, and hopefully with better service, and higher standards of hospitality.

We had the most incredible stay at Hotel GAJOEN Tokyo—truly the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Every detail is thoughtfully designed in stunning Japanese style, creating such a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. Our room was exceptionally spacious, perfect for our family, and having a private steam room and jacuzzi in every room was such a special touch. We also loved spending time in the lounge, especially during happy hour—the food and drinks were amazing! The service, the ambiance, and the overall experience were unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

5-star hotel experience. Uniquely beautiful hotel, particularly the common areas on the ground floor (including traditional Japanese garden) but also the rooms. It appears to be used frequently as a wedding venue (for good reason) but the wedding venue rooms appeared to be on different floors of the building so were not very noticeable. Location (Meguro) is somewhat away from the more central parts of Tokyo but easy enough to get around by metro/train.

Outstanding service, beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms. We are a family of four that traveled from Seattle and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, we especially loved the city views and the turn-down service every night. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious. We found the location to be convenient and we liked that it was in the city but not in the insanely busy areas like Shinjuku/Shibuya which were a bit overwhelming! We were sad to leave!

The Imperial Hotel Plaza is a historic and prestigious hotel that has been offering luxurious accommodations since 1890. Located in the heart of the city, it provides easy access to Ginza, Hibiya, and Yurakucho stations for convenient transportation. The hotel features old-world charm with modern amenities and offers various dining options including Japanese, American, French, and international buffet restaurants. Guests can expect spacious rooms with elegant furnishings and exceptional service from the friendly staff.
Historical charm with modern convenience. My wife made the booking for my birthday and was an amazing experience. The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. Even the waiter who delivered the late night room service wished me a happy birthday. Being covid, there were probably some vacancies and the receptionist offered us a free upgrade which was a nice touch. The room was very big especially for Tokyo and given the location. It was well furnished with a king size bed. Well stocked amenities and comforts.

Old style charm. Might need some major upgrade. The soul of the hotel is missing. Could not be better located. Standard rooms are small compared to international standards. There are 4 breakfast restaurans! In the basement one local Japanese style On the ground floor the Diner an American style. On the first floor an French still. Finally on the last (seventeenth) floor an international and Japanese buffet. It is usual to find a long queue going to the last floor restaurant. Going there before eight o'clock in the morning might be faster.

HOSHINOYA Tokyo is a unique blend of a luxury hotel and traditional ryokan, offering modern Japanese furnishings and facilities. Located in central Tokyo, it provides easy access to famous landmarks like Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace. The hotel features streamlined rooms, a French/Japanese restaurant, tatami mat flooring, futon mattresses, and Ochanoma lounges on each floor for guests to relax with tea or sake.
After a 13+ hour flight, Hoshinoya Tokyo was the perfect sanctuary. This modern ryokan offers a peaceful, refined experience in the heart of the city. From the moment you enter, shoes are left at the door and you’re welcomed by calming tatami mat floors and minimalist yet luxurious design. The rooms are beautifully understated with thoughtful touches — one standout was the glass bathroom wall that fogs over with the push of a button for privacy. The onsen on the top floor is a real highlight, especially after a long flight. It’s serene, clean, and beautifully designed — a rare retreat in such a busy city. (Photos aren’t allowed, but it’s something you truly need to experience in person.) Hoshinoya Tokyo perfectly blends tradition and innovation. I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in Tokyo. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and tranquil stay. For more reviews and recommendations follow @frxnfltz on TikTok and instagram.

This hotel is Amazing. We stayed here for 6 nights during our trip to japan and it was 100% worth it. They give you a huge discount for longer stays. Their rooms have a great design and layout, the staff was very helpful and nice. Located next to a subway station, 7/11, and right near Ginza. The Onsen is amazing. If you are staying for a long time in Tokyo, book this hotel. You won’t regret it. We felt super comfortable and would 100% come back again on our next trip.

Great hotel. Excellent location. Accommodations are ample, clean, and distinctively Japanese. Above all the staff and service were exceptional. We loved the Japanese breakfast and abundant snacks in the lounge. The onsen was amazing. Eager to bring the rest of our family to experience Tokyo and the Hoshinoya.

I would give five stars for this outstanding unique hotel. We enjoyed the stay but two nights was enough. For our personal taste, what we did not like is the lack of windows and daylight. Also, It felt odd to eat breakfast alone in a space that seemed the basement. I must say that once in our suite, I felt good and very relaxing, but for the rest, like I said above, it missed daylight.

A true gem in Tokyo – tradition and luxury perfectly united September 2025 We have now stayed at Hoshinoya Tokyo for the third time, and we are still absolutely thrilled. This hotel is a true masterpiece that perfectly blends traditional Japanese culture and modernity. Every stay is, for us, a unique experience from start to finish – carried by warm service, top quality, and an incomparable atmosphere. What especially moved us this time was that, as tattooed guests, we were now able to enjoy the onsen without any restrictions. The hot spring baths on the rooftop, surrounded by Tokyo’s sea of clouds, are an unparalleled retreat. The moment of lying in the warm water while gazing at the vast sky above the city was unforgettable for us, an expression of true hospitality that transcends cultural boundaries. In the evening, we experienced another highlight: on the heliport of the neighboring building, we were able – as we had already done in the morning the previous year – to take part in an authentic Kenjutsu demonstration, with nothing less than the Tokyo Tower in the background. This fusion of culture, tradition, and breathtaking scenery makes the Hoshinoya experience so uniquely rich and exceptional. For us, Hoshinoya Tokyo is far more than a hotel – it is a place of deep relaxation, living tradition, and loving attention to detail. It was the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable trip to Japan, and we already know: a fourth return will not be long in coming.

Hoshinoya Hotel — a true Japanese experience in the heart of Tokyo, highly recommended. The staff is professional and kind, and the property itself is beautiful. I suggest visiting the onsen several times — a real paradise. I also recommend trying the Japanese breakfast at least once; delicious, though a bit heavy if eaten every day. Very reccomanded

The hotel is nice, clean and well designed all but somehow the location and the whole atmosphere is a bit sad and odd. The location is in a financial district that is not a great fit for tourism, the hotel is always very quiet ( no bar or busy reception room ) and the interior lacks of natural sunlight.

Nestled in Tokyo's second-tallest building, The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo offers luxurious accommodations with breathtaking views of the city. Guests can enjoy complimentary access to the health club featuring an indoor lap pool and indulge in spacious guest rooms with impressive vistas of Mt. Fuji, Imperial Palace gardens, or Tokyo Tower.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo during two different visits in June 2025, and both experiences were simply outstanding. From the moment you arrive, you’re met with world-class hospitality — the bellmen deliver unparalleled service, and the concierge team sets the standard for excellence with their attention to detail and thoughtful recommendations. The city skyline views from both the rooms and the Club Lounge are absolutely breathtaking — a mesmerizing mix of elegance and energy that captures Tokyo’s spirit perfectly. Best to avoid. High cost and low service level, especially at the reception. Even as a platinum guest the experience was totally below expected. No club lounge and no free breakfast for Platinum, room upgrades just to next tier, never to a suite. I understand this is hotel policy but does not mean it makes any sense, plus the service too sucks. Not sure why one should be paying so much money to stay at this place. The staff at the reception needs coaching in service, hard to imagine this in Japan but here we are. The breakfast has limited option. 3 types of eggs are 3 different main dish options..scrambled, omelette and fried is three different main course option to give you the illusion of choice. Most top hotels (even 4 star) would just give you egg any style as one single option. Such a limited breakfast spread for a high end property, very underwhelming. If you are willing to spend this much, go to other 5 star properties. This one is all brand and no value.

Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton (Business Use Review) Positives ・The overall quality of both food and beverages was excellent. Everything tasted refined and well-prepared, with beautiful presentation. ・The tea selection was diverse and paired nicely with the dishes. ・Although I did not confirm the actual price, if the cost were around 6,000 JPY per person, it would feel like good value for the experience. It is likely higher in reality, but still justifiable considering the quality. Areas for Improvement ・The iced tea served at the beginning was noticeably inconsistent. The color and appearance varied so much between glasses that they looked like completely different teas. Some were rich and well-balanced, while others looked pale and watered down, almost as if ice had already melted. When we asked if they were the same tea, the staff simply replied, “Yes, it’s the same,” without offering any explanation or adjustment, even after we mentioned how weak it was. ・Service quality was inconsistent. For example, while we were still enjoying baked goods and naturally wanted something to drink, three out of four cups were taken away. This made the experience less smooth, even though most of the service overall was pleasant. Note: The attached photos do not represent the full selection of items served. They show dishes specifically prepared for guests with egg and milk allergies

I don’t get it. I’ve always wanted to stay at a Ritz Carlton and now that I’ve done it I don’t get it. I’ve stayed at many different properties in many different countries and I can’t tell difference between a Ritz and say, JW Marriott. In fact, I’d put JW above the Ritz. As a Marriott Platinum Elite member you don’t get any benefits (breakfast, Lounge.) That’s fine, but the service overall and rooms are quite average. This is shocking considering this hotel is in Japan, where even lower end properties have superb. I typically make sure not to write a review immediately after a poor customer experience (there were a couple at this property) but now that I’ve had time to contemplate the overall experience I’d still say…I just done get it. There are many other brands out there that will give you better experience (and certainly better value)

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel about a week ago. The views are breath-taking from above the 45th floor where all the rooms are... The service was excellent - special shoutout to the breakfast crew as not only was the spread amazing between the Japanese and western options but also the service was top-notch and both at the restaurant and throughout the hotel the staff could not have been more kind or hospitable. The room was also spacious and comfortable.

This was the worst experience I've had at this hotel. I requested prepayment upon check-in, and they accommodated it. However, the next day, when I returned from breakfast, I was told I had an outstanding bill and was denied entry. I was made to wait 15 minutes at the entrance before being kicked out. I've stayed at Ritz-Carlton hotels in Japan, except for the one in Kyoto, but this was the first time I've ever experienced something like this. We were the only ones who weren't offered a welcome drink. Maybe they didn't like our Versace clothes because we had children with us, or maybe they thought we looked poor. It was a terrible surprise. I think only wealthy people should stay here. It was especially disappointing, especially since it was a hotel where a friend of mine used to work.

It's not suitable to be called a 5 star, the room is dirty, there was a strand of hair on my bed, even though I haven't slept in it, and there were flies on the food at breakfast, it was very dirty, the food didn't taste good. The staff are also not friendly at all, they only win because the view from the room is good, the rest is just ordinary, not interesting. Still inferior to Mandarin Oriental 😌

Nestled in the heart of Asakusa, The Gate Hotel Kaminarimon by HULIC offers sophisticated rooms and suites along with round-the-clock dining options, a stylish rooftop terrace, and an elegant lounge. Since its establishment in 2012, this premier hotel has been providing guests with a breathtaking open-air terrace on the 14th floor that presents stunning vistas of the Tokyo Skytree and the Asakusa skyline.
it's a wonderful hotel. You can tell some furniture is dated and scratched, but the room was very comfortable, spacious, immaculately clean. Wonderful shower and bathroom with lots of amenities. In-room tea tray and a coffee machine. Good breakfast, a buffet and one hot main dish of your choice made to order. The level of service is superb. The view from the lobby and the roof terrace is stunning. The area is well connected to central Tokyo. The Sensō-ji temple is 2 minutes walk so you can go there really early to enjoy the site in pease before the crazy crowds arrive.

Excellent location if you want to see the main tourist spots and close to the station. Friendly staff and superb views over the city. Breakfast was good and rooms a reasonable size for Japanese hotels. Couldn’t really fault the hotel and would go back if we are ever back in Tokyo.
Paul P — Google review
The location in Asakusa is the highlight of this hotel, and it is quite charming. The lobby is on the 13th floor and provides great initial views of the area. We were able to check in upon arrival and got situated in our room. It had a view of Kaminarimon-dori and we could see the beginning of the Nakamise shopping street from our window. The room was....small. Smaller than any other room on our trip, including our cruise ship room. We knew that going in, but looking back, I wish I'd gotten something a little larger. The roof of the hotel has great views of Asakusa, including the SkyTree, Senso-ji, the nearby Don Quijote and much much more. It was fun going up there after our first full day to see where all we'd been. We did not try the hotel restaurant...we found local bites easily and cheaply. The hotel held our bags on our last day as we needed to check out before we were ready to leave, and that was very easy. The staff was helpful and spoke basic English. Anything else and they used a translation app (which we did too!). All in all, very pleased with the value and location of this hotel!

Used the hotel as a base to explore Tokyo for 3 days, Firstly a really good location to explore the local sights of the shrine/temple and skytree. Very close to the Ginza line which was massively convenient for the rest of Tokyo. Hotel itself had great views of the skytree at night, room was cosy but as a single traveller more than fine alongside being clean and quiet. Breakfast was fantastic, western/continental style with a bit of a Japanese twist on some things. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Perfect! I stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The gate. I had a Moderate Queen room which was more than enough space for one person. The bed was quite comfortable and although no closet/wardrobe in the room, there were several hangers on the wall for your things. There is a terrace on the 14th floor that I visited several times, with amazing views of the area. This was my third time to stay in Asakusa but my best stay to date. I would book here again no problem.

The Gate Hotel Kaminarimon offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and classic Tokyo atmosphere, set right in the heart of lively Asakusa. Stepping into the sleek lobby with panoramic windows, the city’s energy and skyline—including a dazzling Tokyo Skytree—immediately set the mood for a memorable stay. The guest rooms, while compact, are stylishly designed and spotlessly clean, equipped with thoughtful amenities, and provide impressive views. The rooftop bar and lounge are definite highlights, with breathtaking night vistas through wide windows and an inviting setting for crafted drinks and casual conversations. Service throughout the hotel is attentive and polite; the staff handle check-in smoothly and respond promptly to requests, making guests feel well cared for. For its unbeatable location, stunning views, welcoming service, and modern comfort, The Gate Hotel Kaminarimon deserves a strong 9/10 in my view😉

My sister and I stayed here in a 2 twin bed, no smoking room. We loved the location, and had a great time trying the food around Asakusa. The concierge were great and helped me call taxis as needed. I would definitely stay again!

The Share Hotels Lyuro Tokyo Kiyosumi is a trendy hotel/hostel hybrid situated along the Sumida River, just an 11-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. Boasting a contemporary industrial-chic style, it offers various room types to accommodate different budgets, including mixed or female-only dorms with capsule-style bunk beds and private rooms with en-suite facilities.
I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were genuinely warm and always ready to help with a smile. Chihiro (ちひろ) was especially kind, helping me adjust my travel plans. It’s a great spot if you’re solo traveling and prefer a peaceful location outside the city center — still easy to get around if you don’t mind a bit of walking. Plus, the view of the Skytree is stunning!

A modern and well-maintained hotel with a clean and comfortable bathroom. Guests can conveniently store their luggage before check-in or after check-out. The on-site restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a lovely view of the river. The staff is exceptionally polite and professional. However, the location is a bit distant from public transportation.

Private rooms is super cool, with good view on the river. Rooms is big, not only for Japan, at least for this price. If you are runner there is running near the river. I liked their trying to be sustainable. I definitely will stay again there.
Vova K — Google review
We stayed in a river view room. The hotel is quiet and calm and a bit out of the way which makes it a great place to unwind after a day of exploring Tokyo. The neighbourhood around it is a very interesting place to walk around. I will definitely look this place up next time I’m travelling to Tokyo.
Patrick C — Google review
Great price. The size of the room was manageable. Lovely views on the water. The location was a bit far from the subway station. But it's a quiet location with not many tourists, which I appreciate. Amazing service and loved the cafe.
Trina M — Google review
We stayed here towards the tail end side of our trip. Love the design of the hotel. Staff were helpful and breakfast at Clann was a great way to start the day. Our room was clean, linens has no weird smells. The shared areas always had someone cleaning in the morning and the showers were well kept. Rarely heard our neighbors at night for any light sleepers. It is a bit of a walk from the station. The night time view of the river and Tokyo Skytree was lovely.
Nhubinh N — Google review
The service is excellent !! They provide towel, razor, Q-tip … The location is just ok, subway is a bit far away but there is a bus very convenient near the hotel though. The room in the dormitory is nice but strangely it can be very very hot inside. I had to let the room open to avoid suffocating. But overall it was great.

10/10. A bit far, but prices and room sizes plus view totally worth it

Asakusa Kokono Club Hotel is a trendy lodging in the heart of Tokyo, offering modern rooms and suites. The hotel features a cafe/bar with regular live music, providing guests with a vibrant atmosphere. With its central location and chic yet minimalistic rooms, this boutique hotel stands out among others in Tokyo. The property offers excellent service and boasts a terrace for guests to enjoy. Additionally, it provides room service, a 24-hour front desk, and free Wi-Fi in public areas.
If I could give 10 out of 5 I would. The location was perfect for our trip. Sensoji and the surrounding area at night and in the early morning hours are so magical. We used this hotel as our base for exploring Tokyo and couldn’t be happier. The room was stylish, housekeeping everyday was excellent and most importantly the service of the front desk people were above and beyond. I left my iPad by mistake and they let me know quickly while I was on my bullet train to Hiroshima. I requested them to open my luggage and put it inside the luggage that I left for delivery to my Kyoto hotel and they not only took care of it , they even sealed the zipper so that it did not get opened while in transit. I will definitely be staying there in future and highly recommend this hotel for all travelers. The front desk spoke fluent English as well.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel in Asakusa. Although the hotel isn’t brand new, our room was on a high floor with large windows, two directions of fresh air, and a fantastic view over the city. The room itself was surprisingly spacious — much bigger than we expected for Tokyo. What truly stood out was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. When our travel plans changed unexpectedly, they graciously agreed to store our luggage for over a week, which was a huge help. Highly recommended for both the location and the warm hospitality!

The staff are really sweet here, and let us leave our bags before check in and after check out. The room is small, only a bit of space at the end of your bed but enough to open your suitcase. The hotel is very close to tourist attractions however it's quiet at night and you sleep well. We had a balcony which looked out to the street, not that nice a view but nice to have. It was so hot while we were there we had the air-conditioning on the whole time and didn't go onto the balcony. The breakfast was good. There is just one man cooking it all but he was very fast. You just sit down at the table, and he shows you a menu. It's not self-service. If you have dietary requirements, they will make changes for you. They also have a cafe on the ground floor however it's a different business. We got coffees they had oat milk and it's really hard to find oat milk coffee.

Had a lovely stay here. In quite a bustling area but hidden away from the busy streets. The staff were very kind and helpful. We loved having a balcony and ample space in the room. Also they let us store our bag there after check out which was much appreciate. The rooms are also very aesthetic.

We had an incredible stay at Kokono! The location is perfect — everything you need is nearby, including a 24/7 Family Mart where we stopped by every night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always welcoming us with warm smiles. The hotel's facilities were also very good and made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we’d definitely love to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel. Our room was clean, the beds comfortable and and it was quiet - ideal to get a good night's rest. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. 100% recommendation :)

We had the most incredible stay at Kokono club- the location was perfect- right next to senso-ji temple and shopping. Family mart and lovely coffee shop right downstairs. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly, we enjoyed the balcony in the morning. Beds were extremely comfortable, toiletries were high quality. It’s a great boutique hotel, relaxing with a modern aesthetic. We were sad to leave!

It's been a year since our Japan trip and unfortunately, I forgot to write a review. Today I scrolled through my pictures on the phone and saw this pic, where the staff rearranged my plush-souvenirs from Tokyo, while they were doing our room service. Our stay in the Asakusa Kokono was utterly perfect - from the courtesy of the staff to our rooms and the location. We enjoyed our stay very much and it's very likely, that we will book again for our next stay in 2026. A big thank you to the cleaning-team, which - that day - left a little surprise, as they did our bedding. It was a very lovely touch to our Japan experience.
