The Mayfair Hotel in Adelaide offers chic rooms and suites, along with a refined restaurant, cafe, and rooftop bar. Situated at the corner of King William and Hindley Streets in a beautifully renovated Colonial Mutual Life building, this five-star boutique hotel exudes style, elegance, and glamour. The hotel serves as a gateway linking Rundle Mall and Adelaide's Riverbank Entertainment Precinct.
Great location. Shopping district is just 1 min away by crossing the street in front of the hotel. Plenty of restaurant nearby which you don’t have to worry what to eat. The hotel room is spacious and cozy. Suitable to stay in for the the whole day. Their staff are also very welcoming and warm. Unfortunately I didn’t visit the roof top garden, if you happen to be here, visit the roof top garden and chill there. Recommend!!!

Love Mayfair. An elegantly restored heritage building, and beautiful inside and out. Bed and pillows are so comfy. Perfect location. Very good breakfast. Partner Wilson Parking just at side road. Love the feel, atmosphere and decor. Happy to go back!

This was my first visit to this centrally located hotel, whch was perfect. The king room I had was generous size. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, offering excellent recommendations. I would love to return for an extended stay in the future.😀
Joy H — Google review
Hotel well located. Nice room but the view at the second floor for the king suite is a wall at 1 m of the window, i paid extra to have a nice suite. We found hairs on the pillow. Water not very hot on the bathroom (saving money?). Do not feel the 5 stars vibes
A A — Google review
Beautiful rooms very very comfortable beds - 10/10. The service staff weren't particularly helpful, Id made a mistake with my booking and they weren't able to rectify. I went onto booking.com and was able to rebook. Id expect more from the hotel front of house. If the rooms weren't so comfy I would have rated lower than 4 stars.
Sara V — Google review
The location is amazing and the staff were all very lovely. The room we received was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was amazing and luxurious. However, when we arrive to the room the cover for our card lock was broken off. The tables also didn't seem like they were wiped down after the last occupants. Additionally, there was a small tv box just hanging from wires under the bench with the TV.
Robyn P — Google review
Location was great! I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel’s service. They had no issue taking my bond payment, but when it came time for the refund, it became a frustrating ordeal. I was asked multiple times to provide my card details again, and despite doing so, they kept calling to say there were still “issues.” What made the situation worse was how it was handled by management. Instead of apologizing or showing understanding for the inconvenience, the manager actually hung up on me when I expressed frustration. That’s not the kind of customer service you expect from a 5 star hotel.
Louise I — Google review
Not impressed. Went up to my room with no help and my room key didn't work. Went back downstairs to get a new one and that didn't work. Called downstairs and the staff member couldn't even get in with a master key. The door lock wasn't charged apparently. Went back downstairs yet again and waited for a new room to be allocated. When I do get into my room there were hairs all over the bathroom floor and a blanket on the bed with blood on it. Also no access to YouTube through the TV despite the website stating the rooms have smart TVs. Apparently this just means a normal TV with pay per view films at $16 each. Spoke to management and their solution was to replace the blanket and give me a drink card worth $15.00 for the hotel bar- which expired the following day. When I was staying for five nights. Not good enough

Hotel
Sofitel Adelaide, located in the heart of Adelaide's CBD on Currie Street, brings a touch of French elegance to South Australia while reflecting the city's unique culture. The hotel offers French-inspired rooms and suites with some featuring city views. The property boasts a pool and dining options for guests to enjoy. The hotel features a custom-designed chandelier inspired by the River Torrens and mosaic patterns throughout the building reminiscent of stained glass found in the city's churches.
We’ve stayed here twice now and both times have been so lovely!! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly! The restaurant serves incredible food and you always leave full. The room and amenities are really nice and we could not fault a thing. We’ll definitely be visiting again! Thank you Sofitel Adelaide for a great weekend!

I absolutely loved my two night stay here for business. The hotel is in a great location. Friendly staff, fast check in/out process. My room was on the 21st floor, so I had a great view. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Very clean. The room was very warm so I had to adjust the temp - was a little uncomfortable. But the bed was extremely comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. Beautifully soft bathrobes. It was very quiet, I couldn’t hear any other guests. Very reasonably priced at $220 a night. Highly recommend :-)
Audrey — Google review
A perfect hotel choice for both business and leisure as it is close to the downtown CBD as well as to the convention centre. The hotel is chic and modern with an easy check in process especially when you are a member of Accor. Those who love good quality of coffee can just get it from Toby’s estate down in the lobby. Although a bit small in size the gym and the swimming pool are decently available. The restaurant is well decorated and the staff are friendly. Although not too many options, the continental breakfast provides fruits, cereal, some hot meals, and desserts. I personally think the omelette could have tasted better. I enjoyed my three nights stay here, and would love to come back when visiting Adelaide again in the future.
Cindy R — Google review
We were quiet disappointed with our stay at sofitel considering all the good reviews and had high expectations (maybe this was a mistake). The service was severely lacking , phones to reception go unanswered and there's poor attention to detail. For example providing our family of 4 only 2 towels . Rooms were also cleaned very very late. We felt like a burden to staff at times. The breakfast was average, the omelettes were bad as they were watery and not fluffy. On one of the days the pastries were raw, I assume they are frozen and thawed. The attention to detail and service was also not that great as we had to ask a few times for our coffees. The coffees were good though, and we also loved the tea. The pool and gym was very good , but no spa which is odd. We loved the location, walking distance to Adelaide markets and Chinatown. We liked our room with the city views, but there is a lot of dust on the top shelf of the cupboard. Carpets as others have suggested don't look that clean. We also got a room right outside the lift and we were too tired to complain about it and it was only for a few nights Parking was around the corner but it wasn't a great parking lot, the entrance was very difficult to get into with our SuV. We will return but would consider other Accor hotels in adelaide first.

My wife and I spent four nights at Sofitel Adelaide last week, having previously booked into another hotel that turned out not to be a genuine 5 star. The Sofitel was superb in all areas, the staff were professional, friendly and enthusiastic about the hotel and providing a quality service. The room was wonderful and the food... well, the food was beyond expectation - quality and service were 11/10
Kevin M — Google review
Booked last minute and was very happy with suite, hotel location, club level and staff. The hotel is great, my room requests were looked after and the staff were welcoming and followed up to check all was as requested with the room. The pre messaging, checkin and hotel responses were very professional and appreciated. Overall a great stay and I will be back.
Robyn M — Google review
Great modern rooms, especially if you get a corner suite. Downsides, beds are too soft for my liking, water pressure in shower isn't the best and sometimes checking in can take a little longer than i would expect. Otherwise friendly helpful staff.
John B — Google review
Our stay was enjoyable, with beautiful city views, a relaxing pool area, and an excellent buffet. However, the experience was marred by significant issues with mini-bar charges we didn’t incur. The charges were unclear, and disputing them was frustrating and time-consuming that we just gave up trying and took away from what was otherwise a wonderful stay. We strongly recommend future guests confirm these charges beforehand to avoid any surprises. Despite this setback, we truly enjoyed our time and would love to return, though it’s a shame that this issue affected an otherwise great experience.

5Oval Hotel

Hotel
Nestled within the iconic Adelaide Oval, the Oval Hotel is a sophisticated retreat that seamlessly blends luxury with convenience. This unique stadium hotel offers guests breathtaking views of the surrounding parklands while being just moments away from the vibrant dining and shopping scene of the city. Opened in 2020, it features modern rooms equipped with premium amenities, including walk-in rain showers and intuitive controls for a truly personalized experience.
We stayed here in April and enjoyed our visit. The location is fantastic, with friendly staff, modern rooms, and a great breakfast overlooking the stadium. We were even lucky enough to catch the team training! The only downsides are that parking isn’t free, and rooms in the south tower face the road, which can be noisy. For lovely views and a quieter stay, try to get a room facing the cathedral in the north tower.
Elle — Google review
Great location, but the room we had was for a family consisting of a king bed plus 2 single beds. The air con was blowing straight on to our heads on the 2 single beds, we had to cover our heads with the sheet to avoid the cold bliwing straight to our heads. Room service breakfast was of low quality, also at the bat area, we ordered some niblies to eat with our drinks, the first day it was nice but he next day on the Sunday-obviously a different chef served us with a short cut version of the same food which was so disappointing.
Rufi — Google review
From the minute we arrived at the valet parking and greeted with a lovely welcome & smile. Reception staff at the check in were exceptionally helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were just gorgeous and ours looked out to the Cathedral. Breakfast service in Bespoke was fabulous and the view of the oval was tremendous. We will be back! Staff need to be congratulated on such great service.
Jo B — Google review
Wonderful one-day stay at the Oval Hotel in Adelaide. From arrival, staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and easy. Early check-in was offered, allowing more time to relax and enjoy the hotel. The room was modern, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a breathtaking view of the Adelaide Oval and surrounding parklands. Every detail felt luxurious and well thought out, from the comfortable bedding to the high-end amenities. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery created the perfect short getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay in the heart of Adelaide.
NEWLIFE4YOU — Google review
We’ve just spent three wonderful nights here and we’re not ready to head back to WA! From the warm and welcoming staff to the exceptional food, great coffee, stunning location and beautiful surroundings—everything about this hotel has been incredible. The bed! - the most comfortable bed ever! Adelaide has truly treated us well, and we can’t wait to return. When we do, we’ll definitely be coming back to stay at The Oval again!
Jordie M — Google review
What a lovely team - I made a mistake with my booking and they couldn't have been nicer in helping me switch rooms and sort it out. talked me through getting to my event at the oval, room service staff and doing things like extra towels and a firm pillow etc, were just gorgeous. Thank you. I'll be coming back
Hari O — Google review
We stayed at this hotel in The Cathedral suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was stunning and highly recommend for an extra special occassion. The views are spectaular day and night. The bath is huge and perfect for a couple with great views. The breakfast in the Bespoke Resaturant was delicious on both mornings, was lovely watching the players out on the field on Sunday and then the curators getting to work on the Monday getting the lawn back in top condition. Room was very quiet even with a game on you can hear the sirens but thats it in the room. Getting to the city is honestly a short 5 to 10 minute walk across the foot bridge over the river. The hotel was rather busy this weekend and checkin felt rushed (we werent offered a welcome drink which we were looking forward to and didnt ask about our making our breakfast bookings/reservations which was part of our package) just wasnt the same standard and warm welcome we had experienced on our previous stay. Calls to room service and concierge rang out numerous times). Our TV in our bedroom had been disconnect and not checked before our checkin and was unable to use this until the next day once fixed For the $ per night i would have thought an evening turn down service would be included and room service to be delivered on plates with cutlery not in cardboard boxes (would like to add the food was delicious from the room service menu) . As we used l the only 2 plates/cutlery supplied in the room on the first night and the room attendants took them for cleaning but didnt replace them leaving us with nothing. A few things for the hotel staff to work on especially in the high priced room. Overall great hotel, one of the best in Adelaide that we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. The Bespoke restaurant is a must especially for breakfast and adding on an experience at the Oval was also fun (roof climb or oval tour). Enjoy your future getaways at this hotel im sure you will enjoy it as much as we did.
Belinda B — Google review
Beautiful hotel, comfy bed, lux feel and such a quiet hotel (cant hear others). Delicious room service, spectacular views and very central. Quick walk to the Taphouse brewery across the river (5mins) Exquisite restaurant for breakfast over looking the grounds. 💯 can't go past this hotel.

Eos by SkyCity is a sophisticated casino hotel in Adelaide, opened in 2020. It's conveniently located near the Adelaide Railway Station and the airport, with various attractions nearby. The hotel offers excellent facilities and stunning interiors designed by local teams. Guests can enjoy river views from some suites and indulge in luxury services at the two-bedroom Grace Villa. The hotel also features a spa with Australian treatments, an outdoor heated pool, and luxury changing facilities for urban indulgence.
This is one of our most favourite places to stay, not just Adelaide but it is definitely on the list of other high end luxurious stays in Australia. It might not be large but it’s definitely making up for it with service and attention to detail. Every single stay is welcoming, easy, enjoyable and absolutely bliss. From the minute you walk in, to the minute you leave, this hotel has picked not only staff who are exceptional at their jobs but also rooms which exceptional and exceed expectations. Rolling views of the Adelaide hills, city skylines paints a beautiful scenery for the most relaxing in house stay. There’s no need to leave your room, the dinning is not only affordable but absolutely delicious and served as you were sitting in a restaurant. So professional even if you are in pyjamas. I’ve been here as a romantic stay with just my partner, stayed as a family of 3 with our 11 year old daughter, stayed with my 2 elderly parents in their 50’s & never heard a complaint or ever had a bad time there. Which says a lot. Book this place, you won’t regret it. We practically live there, so see you soon!

I had the pleasure of staying here this week and was very impressed! The staff were well dressed and presented amazingly with service second to none. The staff and management should be commended for their top level customer focus and amazing service. Location of the hotel couldn't have been any better. Walking distance to shopping, nightlife and restaurants. The views from my suite were breathtaking. My only small criticism is the late night room service menu. Its great that they have 24hour room service but the late night menu was tiny and had nothing substantial. Given how great everything else was, it wasn't a big deal. The roof top bar is a must visit. I will definitely be back soon.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday with my partner at this hotel and had an exceptional experience. From the friendly concierge team to the welcoming front desk staff, everyone was warm and helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated with a stunning bathroom and a lovely view. While it's certainly expensive, the hotel's prime location and the special touches, including a birthday surprise, made our stay truly unforgettable.

Dear Ash and team, Thank you for providing an exceptional service to help us celebrate our 23rd anniversary. The moment we walked into the reception we were greeted by such friendly staff. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The hand written anniversary card and macarons delivered to our room was so special to us and really touched our hearts. The room was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well done Ash and the team. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again.
Danny D — Google review
Probably the best hotel experience I have had ever. Greeted by staff the moment you walk in. Very friendly and helpful. Clearly explained everything we needed to know. Had our bags already in our room before we got up there. Gave my 6 year old daughter a balloon. Gave us 2 free drink vouchers for the sky city bars. Room service was quick and tasty. The turn down service a plus. Shower was massive but with typical hotel shower pressure. A bath that someone 6 foot tall could actually sit in. The view was absolutely perfect for us, being footy fanatics. We stayed on level 7 with a crystal clear view of Adelaide oval. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy with some interesting art around every corner. The spa was very warm and great for kids. Very easy access to get to the Tran station and Adelaide oval bridge.

After a long stay in Adelaide city we moved hotels and stayed here for two nights with my partner for her birthday and our two year old daughter, on arrival the reception team gave the little one a balloon and was so welcoming she absolutely loved the team, the service from every single person is next to none. A small message asking if it was possible to do something special for my partner and later that day came back to the room with a hand written letter some treats and a bottle of wine. World class service 👌

We recently stayed at Eos for a business trip and were extremely happy with our stay. From the hotel amenities, to the staff, to the rooms and the convenient location, we could not have asked for more. Special mention to Kritika who welcomed us on arrival and went above and beyond to make our son feel special, also to Esther in housekeeping who was so warm and friendly and a great sport as our son followed her around the room.
Andrew C — Google review
Very aesthetic hotel, with amazing service. All staff were friendly and accomodating in particular Gary from concierge. He was personable but professional. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine as it was my birthday and they even offered early check in and late check out with no additional cost. The wellness centre was very peaceful and the hotel itself was walking distance to many beautiful restaurants in the city. Very happy with our stay, would definitely go again.

The Pullman Adelaide is a luxurious 5-star hotel located in the heart of Adelaide's CBD, offering stylish and spacious rooms with upscale amenities. The hotel features an indoor pool, spa, sauna, and a fully equipped fitness center on the second floor. Guests can also enjoy contemporary Southern Australian cuisine at the on-site Salt Restaurant and Bar. With its prime location, guests have easy access to the lively East End, premium dining options, and Rundle Street shopping.
I absolutely enjoyed my recent stay here. Everything from the location, customer service, room and amenities were fantastic. The breakfast buffet had a large variety and the coffee was great too. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again.
Amanda T — Google review
The location is great. Rooms are nice and comfortable. The only thing I missed was a human touch. No one smiles at Parc the restaurant. Its looks like everything is a job and no emotions. It's all business. A smile would be nice. And the room shower gel was not a shower gel but a hand wash which we realised on the second last day of the trip. Hotel is good but need to learn how to be not robotic.
Sunil S — Google review
The hotel is in a perfect location in downtown Adelaide. The rooms are adequate to very good and most have a balcony and a bath. The executive lounge is downstairs next to reception. I have read other reviews about its location being poor. However, the service from Roman is exceptional. He is attentive, has an incredible memory for preferences and is engaging in his own original way. We have been to many executive lounges around the world but Roman makes this one of the best. If you have the opportunity to experience the executive lounge I would highly recommend it.

Thank you so much for making our wedding special! Especially young Concierge Dave. The mark of a worthy hotel is how they fix problems. I don't know of a single hotel that doesn't have its certain issues but when staff take the time to listen and to sort out issues, then top marks. My husband and I have stayed at The Pullman at least about 6 times this year, and I have stayed there even since before the pandemic. We had our Wedding next door to the hotel a few weeks ago and many of our guests stayed there as well. There were a lot of hassles with bookings for some reason. Luckily, the shining star on the front desk, Karl, sorted things for us. When we arrived, I did not get the suite I had booked but then was moved to another room that still wasn't the suite. Again, the professionalism of Shashee fixed it all and I finally got my bridal suite just in time. Thank you so much Shashee. The now restaurant manager, Jayden, is also a hospo star. We had a few issues with bookings in the few weeks leading up to our wedding but Jayden went out of his way to sort everything. The night before the wedding, we had dinner at The Parc with our bridal party and Jayden looked after us like royalty. Thank you so much. And not forgetting Toby who is always professional, extremely knowledgeable on wines and so helpful. Can't believe I'm saying this but in recent times the breakfast service had been a bit hit and miss as well, especially since Rohan took his vacation. I was more than delighted to find Jaanika there on the weekend of our wedding. She absolutely looked after us more than 100% Amazing people like her, who go the extra mile, are what keeps people coming back again and again. It was so lovely to meet you Jaanika - we will be back soon to see you again! Lisa is also an awesome breakfast person. The concierge guys are *always* wonderful there - Christophe, David, Dave and Peter. Huge, huge thanks again to Dave who really made our wedding weekend so special, in so many ways with his assistance. And I can't finish without mentioning the lovely Boman in the Club Lounge. You are never allowed to leave. Thanks again crew - we will see you again soon! PS But hey guys - answer your phones!

Great room. Upgrade apparently so…. The Accor gold “welcome” was some chocolates and a couple of bottles of water. Not so great. Can’t do chocolate and water..meh. Wine would’ve been better. The staff didn’t replace towels and such on one occasion although did make the bed. Internet is patchy and poor throughput. Friendly service generally. Gym was ok. Could use an elliptical. Otherwise good.

Check in a breeze using their pre check in system. I am a member of this hotel group and if you are not a member you should be it's well worth it. I don't use them third party websites that people think they getting a good deal from. You are much better doing what i do book direct, it is simple to change things if your plans change try do that with one them 3rd party sites. I was upgraded as i was a member and they had a spare room to upgrade me. The staff member at the reception area was great made life a breeze. Room was awesome breakfast great check out normal time is 11am so you can have a sneaky sleep in have breakfast as that finishes at 11am also.

Unfortunately worst executive lounge of all Accor hotels visited and other 5 star chains. Tucked away behind reception on the ground floor. Small with no windows or views , very average and sparse offerings and very few items . Why anyone would put the lounge behind reception on the ground floor, dark and no windows views is beyond me.

Stayed over the weekend for harvest rock with a mate and had an amazing time. Service was exceptional especially in the restaurant. I wanna give a special shoutout to both Jayden and Charlize for their service and helping me find and guide me with drink selections, very professional work, I was highly impressed.

The Playford Adelaide - MGallery is an elegant and opulent hotel located in the heart of Adelaide's cultural precinct. This boutique, Art Nouveau-inspired hotel offers a rich tapestry of Australia's food, wine, and art culture. With its stunning architecture and polished service, it provides a luxurious experience for guests. The hotel features a restaurant, an opulent bar, and a health club with an indoor pool.
Amazing location in the heart of Adelaide. I love the option of two queen beds in the same room, great for family stay kids. Staff was extremely helpful and nice, always went above and beyond. Breakfast buffet was simple, but sensational quality. Everything was clean. Indoor pool with spa and sauna is a great option for cooler days. The only minor thing was that there was a super loud party somewhere nearby on a Saturday night - obviously not the hotels fault, so I still rate it 10/10, but just a heads up that is happens :)

We visit Adelaide every year for business and usually stay in five-star hotels. This year, we decided to try this one, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a big disappointment and is definitely not up to the standard of other hotels in the same category in the city. We stayed eight nights in a Junior Suite Studio: at first glance, the room seemed pleasant, but we experienced several issues: Poor climate control: when we arrived, the temperature in the room was 17°C and it wasn’t possible to increase it. Throughout our stay, we had to use an electric heater in the bathroom because the radiator was undersized, and without the air conditioning running constantly, the room quickly became cold. Lack of cleanliness: the carpet was never vacuumed during our entire 8-day stay. Combined with the outdated air conditioning system, this caused me asthma problems throughout the visit, while my husband developed a sore throat. Limited services: the room had no coat rack, the minibar was never restocked, and the bath salts for the bathtub were not replenished. Moreover, housekeeping was often delayed — several times, even past 1 PM, the room still hadn’t been cleaned despite my repeated requests. Unpleasant view: for a Junior Suite, we expected at least a decent outlook, but instead, our room faced the wall of the opposite building, which made the atmosphere feel closed and uninviting. Disappointing breakfast: for a five-star hotel, it’s truly embarrassing. The buffet is very limited, with hardly any dessert options, and the overall quality is far below what you would expect from a hotel of this category. I regret having to write such a negative review, but those who choose a five-star hotel do so expecting comfort, quality, and impeccable service. Unfortunately, this property falls well short of those standards.

I had a great stay at the Playford. The pool is working and is a good temperature. The sauna was super hot and so was the spa. The room is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the breakfast was great. It is a small, boutique hotel and so breakfast is smaller but the restaurant is nice. The food is hot and fresh. We stayed at breakfast until they closed at 10:30am and they were still replenishing the hot food up until then. There is double glazing on the window. I went to a concert at the Entertainment Centre and the tram stops near the front of the hotel. It was also an easy walk to Leigh St restaurants. As Accor Gold I received- upgrade, early check-in, and late check-out and free water. There was no welcome drink on the app, even though a letter they gave me said there was. I didn't ask though, as I wasn't bothered.

Just spent 5 nights at this hotel and our stay was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. All staff were very professional, courteous and friendly. Alex on the front desk was exceptional, very knowledgeable, friendly and patient in giving us tips on where to eat, directions etc. Chelsey was our point of contact each morning for breakfast and she and the rest of the crew were very helpful. Great location, close to everything, new gym, spa and pool were also a treat. Well done guys !

Excellent hotel to stay, rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds. Location was very convenient being right opposite key venues like the convention centre. Added bonus was the bar proved to be an awesome location to get some drinks and food. The chips at this joint are also highly recommended! We came back for them twice.

We had a great stay at the Playford recently! At check in we were upgraded to a New York style loft room in the front corner of the top floor. The room was very spacious and the spiral staircase to the loft was quirky and definitely a talking point. The service from all the staff we interacted with was friendly and genuine. The art deco style renovation has really enlivened the place from the colour schemes in the hallways to the front bar you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Overall I have to say that we have stayed at a lot of hotels all over the world and this is one of the best places we have stayed in recent years. Hats off to the Playford team! 😀

My boyfriend and I stayed in the New York Loft Suite for 3 nights as part of my 20th birthday celebration. We had a bit of an issue with our aircon upstairs, but the staff were quick to resolve and we were soon moved to an alternate room upon our return. Though we were on the highest floor, there wasn't much of a view as the hotel was surrounded by much taller buildings. Additionally, there wasn't much selection for room service, which was unfortunate. However, other than those issues, we had a great stay here! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the ambient lighting really brought out the beauty in the space. Though I wasn't able to utilize the facilites, I want to comment that the gym, spa and pool were all kept very clean and looked great to use. The gym was also one of the most well-stocked gyms I've seen in a hotel. I would recommend staying here and would visit again!

We stayed for 4 nights (initially for 3, but our flights got cancelled, so we had to stay an extra night in Adelaide — we chose to come back to The Playford). All thanks to Nicki and her team at reception for being so amazing and making our stay lovely for our birthdays! 🙏🏽✨ She told us about a nearby event and made us feel welcome with her kind demeanour. The kids loved the restaurant, the spa pool, and the spacious loft room! They helped with putting our luggage into the room, parking, and calling a taxi to the airport. Many thanks and see you next time 🌸💫

Fabulous stay. We were given a free room upgrade which was so appreciated. The room was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and engaging. Every single one we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. The bed and pillow was excellent. Rooftop Bar is a must. ..great snacks and the drink choices were exceptional. Unbelievable views! Breakfast was lovely too - eggs cooked to perfection and the sour dough was so good.. Close to "Her Majesty's Theatre" and the Central market as well as the choice of amazing restaurants less than 1 minute away. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property is absolutely beautiful with lovely decor throughout that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was well-appointed with a very comfortable bed, I slept exceptionally well each night. All the amenities we needed were provided, making our stay convenient and hassle-free. The location is truly fantastic, we were within walking distance of the Adelaide markets and Chinatown, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable. One evening when we had a late-night craving for food, we simply went downstairs and found numerous restaurants still open, which was incredibly convenient. The staff deserves special mention for being extremely helpful throughout our stay. They were always ready to answer our questions and accommodate our requests with a smile. My only minor disappointment was discovering that bathtubs are only available in the suites. It would have been nice to have this option in the standard rooms as well. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with an unbeatable location and excellent service. Would definitely consider staying here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Adelaide. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, attentive, and truly welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable, and every interaction felt genuine and personal. The dining experience was exceptional. Dinner was a delight with beautifully crafted dishes that were as delicious as they were visually stunning. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering a wide range of options to suit every taste — all fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. A special mention to Chef Gabrielle — an absolute magician in the kitchen and a wonderful personality. His passion, creativity, and warmth shine through in every dish, making each meal an experience in itself. Hotel Indigo has set the bar high for hospitality and culinary excellence in Adelaide, and we can’t wait to return!

Even if you don't like Adelaide you will like this hotel. It is a gem, cosy but bright and welcoming, faultless. Without exception the staff were attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast, and dinner, were of a high standard, beautiful food. They achieve everything you want in a hotel and make it seem effortless. The only drawback was the last day, a Sunday, when there was an influx of people and the breakfast area was saturated so you couldn't eat without hearing other's conversations. The murals on the room walls add an uplifting vibe. The mural on the wall in my room was a happy coincidence with my writing ambitions.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location with comfortable, quiet rooms and helpful, friendly staff. Very comfortable bed and great bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic as well. My only two small quibbles are (1) the shower leaks under the shower door, making the floor very wet when stepping out of the shower (2) the windows are quite dirty which did spoil the views from our 10th floor corner room a little.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect. About 20 mins from the airport. Close to everything with plenty of restaurants and pubs around. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Has all the basic amenities you need, and the Wi-Fi works great. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Le Petite Chef, nothing like that was advertised worldwide. Le Petite Chef itself was such a cute idea but the food doesn't match the hype and less than average quality. Food presentation was poor, tasteless, steak was tough and dry, some of the plates was missing ingredients (tart nearly missing sorbet and some missing cherry tomatoes from steak dish) Not only me but all the strangers from other tables were talking how food was so awful and tasteless; majority of the tables finished the food for the sake of price they paid. Music was keep skipping towards the end, outside was so loud and was hard to hear and focus on the show from time to time. some of the tables left even before the show finished. Only good thing was staffs were very lovely and friendly during the service. Definitely NOT worth the money. I have a couple of more friends who made bookings already, hope you do better with your food as the show continues.

The Watson Adelaide is a boutique hotel with original artwork dedicated to Tommy Watson, an indigenous leader and one of Australia's most renowned artists. The suites provide an open-plan space to work or relax while in Adelaide, inspired by Tommy's legacy. With bikes and cars available for rent onsite, the Watson Adelaide is an excellent option for those looking for unique accommodations in Walkerville district.
Booking and checking in was easy and straightforward. All of our minor additional requests were organised before we arrived and with no fuss. During our stay a couple of simple maintenance issues were attended to promptly. The room had a great outlook across the Adelaide CBD and with 3 of us in the suite there was plenty of space. Undercover parking was a true bonus given the weather and proximity to shops and cafes even more so. Overall an excellent stay and we would definitely stay again. Thanks to Leigh and Alistair for their genuine hospitality.

A great place to stay when staying in Adelaide. It is 20 minutes from the CBD by driving and 58 minutes walk. If you're like myself that enjoys the walk to explore the place on the ground it's beautiful. The surrounding environment is also amazing and has shops nearby to buy groceries if you're not looking at eating out. Our room had an oven, microwave, stove, fridge everything you needed. Staff were friendly and when we asked for anything they were helpful.
Danny P — Google review
The only thing that would have made this place better was a better quality of wi-fi since the reception to the room was spotty and inconsistent fluctuating between 1-2 and 3 bars. Other than that, everything else was quite nice. The hotel service desk person was very informative, helpful, and nice. They waved the indoor parking fee for signing up to the hotel loyalty program. Otherwise, it would have been $25 a night, or $15 a night outdoors. The room had everything that was needed except for a desk for a workspace. The bed was quite hard but comfortable. The AC worked great, and the balcony view was nice. Great location for food and shopping.

Booked for a week had to leave after one night. Unclean, feels unhygienic. Dark dingy hallways stink of oil and old food. Blankets missing tv broken and after calling for help staff they couldn’t do anything to fix it. Fridge detached from fridge joinery. Bathroom/ laundry stank of sewer smell and humidity. Requested sheets to cover couches so I could feel safe sitting my young children on them. They looked and felt unclean. Would not return nor recommend.

This was my sixth or seventh visit to The Watson and I continue to be very happy with the hospitality and accommodation. I appreciate having a quality hotel in the area with easy access to the northern suburbs of Adelaide. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Great room on the 8th floor. The room consisted of a kitchenette, very comfy couch, 2 seater table and very comfy bed. Great large shower but with a very small shower head. The towels were large which is always a plus. The tiles in the shower and around the bathroom could do with a good scrub but overall the bathroom was clean. The kitchenette has a coffee maker, stove top and small fridge which had plenty of room in it. Chrome casting was available which again another big plus. There was only one window in the room which could’ve done with a privacy blind so you could leave the blockout blind fully up during the day. Our room overlooked many balconies on the side arm of the building. Outdoor and undercover parking available. We used undercover parking. There seems to be confusion between what is advertised on the website and in email you receive to what is charged parking. We were not charged for parking as our email had advised it was free. Charges advised were $10 and $15 depending on where you parked but do check if The Watson have not clarified this more clearly. Great location, supermarket and many cafe/restaurants close by. We would definitely stay again.

Always love staying here. Super quiet so you get a good nights sleep, Clean and the best beds. Staff are all lovely and very helpful. Close to shops, hotel, restaurants and buses to the city in 15 mins. Amongst the beautiful trees and lovely walking path just across the road.
Diann Y — Google review
It’s fine for its money.. far from a luxury hotel but offers generally clean and relatively practical self contained (microwave, oven, washer/dryer) rooms/apartments. Every time I’ve stayed here there seems to be some sort of maintenance/construction work going on in the building which is showing its age and the lack of blackout blinds might be a problem for some. Location is good, easy bus/uber ride to the city. Woolworths, a couple of cafes and a pub within a five minute walk so convenient without being the most vibrant area either but still a very safe inner city, well-to-do Adelaide location. Polite reception staff. Another mid-range and unremarkable Accor property but good value overall.

The room i got is very good, clean and quiet, staff is kind and friendly. It is kind of boutique style, and I really liked some of the details of the room, framed floorplan for the room. A small but long desk. Wall vents are delicate. The sofa is kinda antique. Some fun intro of the hotel and recommended places to go and eat. The shower water is so good. Walkable distance to places or restaurants. I enjoyed my stay.

Stayed here recently for 4 nights, would highly recommend! Provided fresh milk for use of the espresso machine, complimentary mini fridge and goody bag with snacks on arrival, bottles of water even replenished each day as part of changing towels/bedding. Rooms and bathroom needed updating, you could hear all the traffic and we were on floor 8. Lobby and breakfast area were very good. Great selection of breakfast items, we especially loved the pancakes. Fabulous location for train, busses and walking around the city. Staff were polite.

Advertised as 5 stars, but I would say it’s more like a 3 or 4 star hotel. The good: - Convenient CBD location, with light rail and train at your doorstep - Rooms are big and equipped with decent desk space and storage - Shower has great water pressure - Bed sheets are really nice and luxurious - Rooms and generally quite clean, though the interiors are quite dated Room for improvement: - Room was serviced, but they took all the towels and didn’t replace them (had to ring reception, to their credit, they apologised and sent towels up promptly) - They don’t replace tea bags, nor take away used cups/spoons - One of the bathroom vanity packs was opened and used when I checked in - Long wait for the lifts every time I used them - Acoustics - it’s an older building, noise from the lift lobby travels into the rooms - Bathroom is tiny - Service isn’t bad, but it’s not friendly either. There was a bit of a wait to check in and to check out.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. The staff were fantastic Public transport on your doorstep. Clean. Nice rooms. Comfortable beds. There was only 1 lift working during our stay which made movement through the hotel challenging. I paid additional money for a park view but given we were on one of the lower floors all we could see was buildings. If you are charging more for a view then you should be given one. There are lots of choices at breakfast which is on the pricey side. I just saw a review that said the coffee isn't included so I guess I will see that charge soon. That was not advertised when they asked for our coffee order.

Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience. Best regards

Stayed in October 2025. This is apparently a star hotel but unknown who rated it as its 3.5 at most. The rooms need full renovations as they look worn. The breakfast is weak and needs more selection. We waited 10 minutes for a lift on checkout. Only 2 lifts Front desk don’t answer the phone at all. I booked 2 rooms both rooms lights failed so we moved to other rooms. In all bad service in a hotel that needs full renovations. For a reputable name it’s gone downhill. They charge 5 star price for a 3 star hotel. Look elsewhere I won’t stay again.
Joe B — Google review
Great location. Otherwise, below average. Although quite dated, the room was fine just for showering and sleeping. Nothing flash, but did the job. Great water pressure. Pool was not heated and the mural behind it was pretty appalling. Lucky the kids were distracted by swimming because it was borderline inappropriate. Unfortunately, the service was what really let them down. As in, there was next to none. The girls at the front desk seemed to avoid eye contact just so you didn't ask them questions. There was a line through the lobby, out the door for the lifts, because 2 our of 3 were broken. Three staff members were huddled together chatting, I asked if there were stair anyway and one of them rolled her eyes and walked away. It was incredibly rude. I was then told the stairs were for emergencies only. The cold pool, ugly mural and basic rooms are easy to look past, but the trash service is what really killed it.

Older hotel retrofitted in excellent central location. Windows had double glazing added so minimal road noise. Could hear people talking loudly in room next door. Older tiled bathroom. Cool light sensors in bathroom and at bed base if you got up in the night. Very spacious. Bed comfy. Safe too small for laptop.

The hotel was nice, but we had an inconvenient with the laundry service. We asked if we could use the laundry service and they gave us a key, we split our clothes in two machines and one of the machines broke so we asked for help to one of the receptionist, she asked another one of the receptionist to come (an Asian woman) and instead of trying to help us she was rude with us and accused us of breaking the machine and bringing clothes from outside from a “friend” (we actually went to the car to pick up the clothes to be washed). Finally I fixed the machine myself and I let the lady know that I would be returning the key later because we didn’t have time to dry the clothes, and again she was rude and a bit passive-aggressive. In conclusion, the rooms were clean and the hotel overall was nice but the experience with this receptionist made our experience not very pleasant.

Location is perfect - close to all main city attractions. Rooms are big and although the “oldish look”, very comfortable and clean. The service, in our case was very bad. Upon arrival we were told that the parking (at a third party parking lot close by) would be charged directly by them at 30$ rate. The day after, before leaving, we asked again for confirmation, to a different lady at the reception: same info - just insert the ticket and it will be alright. We arrive at the parking lot, load the car, try to go out and “outstanding amount” appears on the screen not allowing us to go out unless we paid 44$. We paid and collected the receipts. Once back to the hotel, the lady at the reception told us that we shouldn’t have paid and that the colleagues, who served us previously, should have told us that there was a number to call in this cases for assistance. We asked at least for the 30$ already paid to the hotel to be lift from our bill. The answer? “I am not the manager, I cannot do this”. Long story short: very expensive parking that summed up to 70$+ for us, due to 3 different persons at the reception consistently not giving all the information and leaving us in the dark. Given the star rating and price of this hotel, it is not a fair treatment.

Very friendly on arrival. Had Superior Room. No balcony. The room was beautiful. Had a lovely relaxing smell as you walked in. Huge comfy bed. The bathroom was georgous, hot shower to stand and relax under. Staycation overnight. Recommend highly again.

I stayed 27 to 31 August 2025. Room and location were fine, but checkout was awful. At 12:15 a staff member knocked and said a 30 dollar late fee. I had no courtesy call before that. On the phone I was told 50 then 30, and the call ended while I was still speaking. Management replied with a polite note but offered no remedy and claimed calls I did not receive. This was a poor final impression and I will not return.

Stayed here in Aug 25. Had breakfast in the restaurant (scrambled eggs) and it was so salty it was not edible, toast also does not come with butter. After telling the staff they didn’t care and just said will pass the feedback for next time. Staff In restaurant just stand around talking. Total waste of $. Asked about my stay on check out and again gave feedback with staff response just a oh ok. Won’t be staying here again, hotel has gone down in quality.

Was unhappy with the service. My husband organised to have a bottle of champagne to be there ,wasn't there. Called reception took over an hour to be delivered, with a very small bowel of ice that didn't fit the bottle in. Stained bedding. No apologies for anything. Also tried to charge us for dinner that we didn't get. Won't be back here again

Crowne Plaza Adelaide, an IHG Hotel, is a luxurious accommodation option in the heart of Adelaide. The hotel offers a chic Japanese restaurant and a stylish rooftop pool with stunning city views. It's the perfect place for a girls' staycation, featuring comfortable and stylish rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and an espresso machine in every room. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this hotel provides uncomplicated comfort and a prime location near popular attractions like Rundle Mall.
The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are incredibly spacious and well designed. The staff are phenomenal and go above and beyond to assist. The roof top pool is STUNNING. The hallways are all a deep moody blue that feels luxurious as you walk to your room. Highly recommend staying here if you're in Adelaide.

At the 18th floor, we could see the whole beautiful view of Adelaide’s central. The staffs are very nice and efficient. There is a pool and few gym equipment (pretty new), we enjoyed them. The room has quite basic amenities although the price for the double beds room was quite high. What we didn’t like the most was the toilet, it lacks of ventilation and there is a gap under the bathroom’s door which causes uncomfortable feeling when hearing people doing business inside.

Travellers beware.... I tried to book online but when I went to complete the online booking there was an error. The website stated that my email address was invalid. I then called the number on the website and the lady offered to complete the booking directly with her. When she mentioned the higher rate, I questioned it as I am booking 4 rooms for 3 nights, so the extra makes a big difference. She checked and said she could see the cheaper rate but stated that I would need to book the higher rate and then claim the “best price guarantee” to make sure I got the same rate as what is offered on the website. I did ask why we couldn’t just process the rate that was on the website, but she insisted that the claim method was the only way so, reluctantly I did as she instructed. I received emails later that afternoon stating that I did not qualify to receive the best price guarantee. I asked to cancel booking but had to call the hotel directly to do so. I expected them to honour the website price as it was not a fault from my end, but they said the rates have since changed and there was "nothing they could do". So they missed out on a $5000 booking and associated expenses like food and drinks etc. and lost a customer for life. We have since booked accommodation at the Pullman instead. Well done Crowne Plaza...!!

Excellent service by Tonny! I called to surprise by family memeber with an upgrade. Tonny was so helpful, friendly and went above and beyond, made the process so seamless and genuinely cared to make it a great experience for their special occasion. The room and hire was great.Thank you Tonny you made my and their night.

Rooms are noisy and you can hear everything from neighbouring rooms. This made it hard to sleep, it's a new hotel so should have insulation for this! Pool was half drained and could not use it. Also got evacuated at 3am by fire alarm - no staff giving guidance or letting us know it is safe to re-enter also no acknowledgement that it even happened by staff the next morning. Will never stay here again!
David H — Google review
Stayed here a couple times and though the amenities are mostly nice, the rooms are not 5 star. The pool and gym area also needs attention considering guests have paid to use them. Also the manager on duty today was unhelpful and unprofessional. When seeking her assistance for something she proceeded to ask me the same questions over and over as though she didn’t understand basic English. Then she proceeded to tell me that I had not told her all of my details. Very frustrating experience. Please train your management staff to be more hospitable and helpful (especially at manager level). She came across quite arrogant and rude. Other staff I’ve come across at this hotel before have been mostly attentive and helpful. I rated you a one star because you charge so much per room and need to up your game for guests accordingly to a world standard.

The Crowne Plaza is a modern hotel in the Adelaide CBD, walkable to dozens of great restaurants, the sports arena, zoo, lovely botanical gardens and the Adelaide university. I stayed for 2.5 weeks in a 12th floor corner room with glass on 2 sides, affording me picturesque views of the hills and the city. The staff was friendly, keeping with the happy way the Adelaideans live. The hotel is clean, fresh, with an adequate gym for aerobic fitness. If you need weights, there are several gyms close by. They have a heated lap pool, but I wasnt swimming. There is a team stop outside. The cafe on ground floor is nice to start the day, and the room service is a solid 4/5. Fast, friendly team and some of the menu is from the Japanese restauarant in the hotel and very good. I'll be back!

This is such a beautiful hotel!! I have loved it each time we have stayed here. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they genuinely like to talk to you and find out about your visit, even gives you some ideas if you are looking at what to do. The rooms are clean and well looked after, and the coffee is great!

I recommend this place because it’s very affordable. The room isn’t bad at all—it’s decent for a short or budget stay. They also have a nice pool, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the ceiling could definitely use some renovation, as it doesn’t look the best. Also, it’s important to keep noise to a minimum, since other guests may complain, and there’s a risk of being asked to leave if it gets too loud.

I miss this hotel sm that im writing a review about it 1 year later. I’ve been here a couple of times for my last job and each time was great! Awesome central location, lovely staff, great breakfast menu and the rooms are cozy. I especially loved the bathroom. Probably my favourite 5 star hotel I’ve ever been to and i recommend this place (or chain really) to anyone.

We stayed at Vibe Hotel just while we attended Harvest Rock only to wish we'd been able to stay much longer. The room was gorgeous and all the amenities, including a pool with a view, were perfect. The day we left we opted for breakfast in bed after a quick dip in the pool and it was delicious. There's quite a few eateries and things to do in close proximity plus we were a 5 minute walk from the festival site. The service from the staff was top notch - I'd highly recommend anyone visiting Adelaide to stay in this central spot

Overall, the hotel is nice - not amazing, but I’ve stayed at worse places. Staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are modern, included breakfast was delicious. The location is whatever, not the best but you’re within 10-20 mins walking distance from most points of interest within the CBD. This does mean the street is quiet and there’s plenty of street parking (free overnight). The main letdown is in the housekeeping services and room cleanliness. The shower grout was grimy and brown (particularly where the water pooled around the edges), there were long hairs throughout the room (including in the bed - my partner and I both have short hair), and there were dirty tissues under the bed. Throughout the stay, the bathroom toiletries weren’t topped up and the toilet paper wasn’t restocked - we had to request both from reception (reception were super helpful and stocked these up while we were out). One of the days the room was oddly only half refreshed - the towels had been replaced and bins emptied, but the bed was left unmade and dirty cups weren’t changed out. I don’t particularly mind, but it just confirmed to me the lack of care that seems to go into housekeeping at this hotel. There were also only two pillows on the massive king sized bed, which felt weird. There was a third in the cupboard, but in my experience, 2 per person is the standard even for even the most basic of hotels. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but I also wouldn’t discount it if the conditions were right.

Very nice hotel Dinner and breakfast were lovely. Only complaint was the "smart tv" was a nightmare to try and use. Staff member came in during the afternoon to get it working and show us what to do. But this morning, even though we'd mastered the toggle buttons it still refused to change chanel. However in the whole it was very nice.

Fantastic view and interior, specious room. The design of the bathroom could be a little awkward if you are not staying with your partner, because the wooden panels are see through.
Nicole A — Google review
Beautiful space, but service needs heart We stayed in the Urban retreat King room, drawn in by its clean, modern layout and the promise of a bath with city views. The room itself was beautifully styled, with earthy tones, soft lines, and everything we needed for our stay. The bed was comfortable and the space felt well thought out, although the pillows lacked support and firmer options would have made a big difference to overall rest. Also would have preferred the quilt covers on rather than a flat sheet on top of an uncovered quilt. The bath overlooking the city was what sold me, and it absolutely delivered. A slow soak with the windows open to the lights of Adelaide was peaceful, grounding, and rare to find in the cbd. Those moments were special. There was a small empty bowl on the bath caddy, adding some salts for guests would elevate the experience. The downstairs space has its charm. The staff on arrival were genuinely lovely, friendly, helpful, and quick to make us feel welcomed. We had cocktails one evening in the restaurant below and they were made beautifully. We also appreciated the luggage trolley as we had more bags than usual. A small touch that made a big difference. There is no on site parking, and that is understandable in the city, but the arrangement with a nearby car park needs to be improved. We tried to organise it before arrival, sent emails, and received no response. This meant having to pay for initial parking unnecessarily at a nearby location. Clearer communication would have helped here. Room service unfortunately fell short. We ordered one morning, waited 25 minutes, then called to check in. The staff sounded rushed, order had not been made. We were offered free coffees as an apology, which was appreciated, but we did not try again. While waiting in the restaurant, I could hear the room service phone ringing unanswered quite loudly. A few couples appeared to change their minds and leave after the same issue, so did we. We chose to eat out as the ringing was distracting and not a relaxing restaurant feel. A staff member nearby asked someone to sort out the phone, but it left a lasting impression. If room service and restaurant dining is something you are hoping for in your stay, this may not be the place. Housekeeping was another letdown. We had a knock at 8:30am while still getting ready and asked politely if they could return later. We left by 9am, placed the house keeping sign on our door and did not return until 5pm, but the room had not been serviced. The bin was small and filled quickly since we had ordered in a few times, and it was not pleasant coming back to a room that had not been refreshed. I mentioned it to the front desk who said they would pass it on, but no one came over the duration of our stay. We had to reuse towels and manage the mess ourselves, which is not what you expect in a hotel of this level. Another noticeable issue was the heating. Despite adjusting the settings, the room never really warmed up, and the control panel glowed brightly blue all night. It might seem like a small detail, but when you are trying to sleep in a space that is meant to feel calm and restful, that kind of light and chill can be quite disruptive. It took away from the experience of what should have felt like a luxurious retreat. There is so much potential here. The space is stunning. The energy is calm and modern. But the service needs to rise to meet the beauty of the design. Small things matter. Follow through, attentiveness, and clear communication can turn a decent stay into a memorable one. Vibe has the bones of something really special. With more consistency and care, it could become a true city gem.

My wife and I stayed here last month, and originally we had booked for 7 nights but then extended our stay for a further 3 nights, as we really enjoyed this excellent Hotel. The Hotel is located just on the edge of the city and directly opposite beautiful parklands, and a very easy 10 minute walk into the very heart of the city of Adelaide. For the entire time that we stayed there, all of the staff, Reception, Restaurant, Cleaning, were amazingly friendly and extremely helpful at all times. We had a great room on the second floor there, and chose it as it looked back towards the city of Adelaide, which is a delightful view at night time. The hotel has a beautiful large swimming pool, an excellent restaurant and separate bar area if you just want to have a drink or a coffee (superb coffee there too we might add) in a sun filled area looking out towards the pool. You can choose to have breakfast there, and we both enjoyed the very nice hot and cold food that was available, buffet style. We also had dinner at there at their restaurant twice and can firmly state that the choices available were great and that the food was really delicious each time. As my wife is gluten intolerant (Coeliac) we were very happy to see that there were many food choices available on their menu for her to enjoy, with service and pricing there being very reasonable too. Our hotel room was modern and very spacious and very clean throughout, with plenty of room for storage and to move around and our bedding was very comfortable. They have plenty of parking there, both open and undercover and individual number plate recognition for vehicle entry and exit. Our parking was complimentary as we had booked an extended stay. Check in and Check out was a very smooth process, plus you can also complete it on line too, if you wish so. Would we stay there again?, most definitely yes is our answer from our experience there, and we are already planning our next visit, as we enjoyed Adelaide and our stay here it so much. 😊

Just checked out after having hosted a hens dinner & overnight stay. Location and space is gorgeous but the service is a massive let down and spoils the potential. Food was great although it was taken from the table quickly when there were still half of the servings still left and people still eating. Table had a Bottomless drink package and we had to go and find the waiter when we wanted to be served. Morning after the coffee was cold & reordered, waitress spilt the other coffee and dropped plates, cutlery on floor and watched us while we picked it up for her. On check out, while there was a line of people waiting to check out, the lady chose to answer the phone instead of helping the people physically there and started arguing with a guest on the phone so we left the key at the desk & left.

Ok, so got stuck in Adelaide when our flight was cancelled and ended up at the Hotel Alba. Wasn’t expecting a lot because the airlines never provide good choices of accommodation. But wow, was this place an amazing exception to the rule. Great food, great service, massive rooms and an incredibly comfortable bed. The restaurant had an amazing menu that had me wanting to order everything, but settled on a really well cooked and presented steak. But before that came out a trio of big fat and delicious oysters appeared. The flavours just exploded in your mouth and I could easily have eaten another dozen. You’re a real surprise package Hotel Alba!

Adelaide Oval is a modernized sports and entertainment venue with a capacity of 53,500. The stadium's distinctive horseshoe shape and unique roof design make it an iconic landmark. Following restoration, the stadium now hosts a variety of national and international sports events, as well as concerts and functions. The restoration aimed to preserve heritage elements while incorporating modern materials that complement the city's architecture.
Adelaide Oval is easily one of the best venues I’ve ever visited. Every time I’ve been there, it’s been an incredible experience. The atmosphere is electric, whether it’s for a cricket match, footy game, or a live concert. The crowd energy, the views, and the overall vibe make it something special. The facilities are world-class, with great seating, easy access, and plenty of food and drink options. The staff are friendly and always helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. The Oval itself is stunning, especially when it’s lit up at night with the city skyline in the background. What stands out most for me is how well everything is organised — from parking and entry to crowd management and amenities. Every visit has felt smooth and enjoyable. If you’re in Adelaide and haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. It’s not just a venue — it’s an experience. Absolutely the best of the best.

Great location and has an excellent atmosphere. Went for an AFL match and made plans ahead of time with friends and got there very early so we could access seats. Use a walker and found challenges. There were many free parks closer to venue but disability was still on lawn and after the rain getting through the mud was difficult. In the venue there was a good size ramp to access seating and there was disabled areas. Lucky we got there early to access. Prices are high, which is expected. Accommodates more for able body people which is discouraging as it often makes it too hard to frequent locations like this. If I didn't have assistance I would not be able to venture here and enjoy.

The staff were kind considerate and welcoming, Daniel was genuinely happy to have us there.... what an evening...I knew when we arrived it was going to be good, by the end of the evening it was special....thank you Yukiko and Daniel .

Fantastic location. Right in the centre of the city. The room was old but very clean & great facilities. The bed was comfortable. We had a pleasant metro view. The function catering was really good. They have a wonderful bar that served both excellent cocktails and coffees. Unfortunately, that closed down the bar each night, especially when there were strong numbers of people.

I was a little scathing of the Hilton Adelaide in my previous review. It was because I've seen Hiltons from the old days (and they were definitely more luxurious). This Adelaide Hilton is quite acceptable as modern hotels go. We're not going to see the liveried doorman wearing immaculate white gloves anymore - I accept that. (But) I can't help myself comparing the old with the new. Modem hotels just don't have the splendour of the old style luxury hotels. So, bottom line, how is the Hilton? It's fine, as upper level 3/4 star hotels go. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms (although rather small) are comfortable - rather than splendidly lavish, like they were in the 60s and 70s. Would I stay there again? Quite possibly. I have stayed at the Mayfair in Adelaide and it was more luxurious. I was told it is being "renovated", if this is true, I hope they don't modernise it. Modernisation often means "making rooms smaller, more expensive and profitable". Adelaide is a wonderful capital city - possibly the nicest one in Australia. I needs good hotels that reflect its beauty and elegance.

The location of course is optimal being in the CBD and close to a tram stop, plenty of bus stops around as well as an easy place for an Uber to pick you up out the front. Lovely view of Victoria Square as well if your room is facing it. Will definitely be back on my next staycation! Thank you Hilton 💗

Stayed one night at the conclusion of a River Murray cruise. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Check in was prompt and the clerk was right across the special arrangements made by the cruise company. The very impressive Coal Cellar and Grill served an excellent dinner and a comprehensive buffet breakfast. I used express checkout and was on my way without any delays. Highly recommended. For the gourmet traveller, the magic Central Markets are just next door.

I stayed at the Hilton in Adelaide and was pleased with the check-in experience. The staff member who helped us was very attentive and went out of their way to find the best room available, which I really appreciated. However, for a 5-star hotel, there were some disappointments: - Breakfast: The variety was limited compared to other hotels I’ve visited. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, and when we requested items to be refilled, it took a while. - Air conditioning: The unit in our room was noisy and barely cooled the room. This was disappointing, as good air con is usually one of my favorite things about hotel stays. - Room: The room was okay, but for the price, it didn’t feel exceptional. - Parking: Before booking, we were told valet parking was $55/day with a discount for self-parking which was 25$/day, which influenced our decision. Upon arrival, we were initially told the discount didn’t exist. Eventually, they provided a barcode for discounted parking, but the parking attendant said the discount meant $25 anytime you enter/exit. Parking for 2 hours ended up being $10 without the discount and $25 with it, which felt unreasonable. Room setup: We booked for two people, but the room was set up for one. We had to request the additional setup, which wasn’t done until the next day, even though we stayed for two nights. Overall, while the staff at check-in were helpful, some aspects of the stay, breakfast, air conditioning, parking, and room setup—did not meet my expectations for a 5-star hotel.

Stayed here for one night on business. The location is excellent. A good breakfast here in this spacious Hilton hotel. Good sized rooms. There is a gym and a pool. The service is courteous and attentive. This hotel however is a little dated. It’s very clean with comfortable beds but the rooms could do with a little bit of an update, things were looking a little bashed and grazed. The TV menu system is probably one of the worst I’ve seen. There is a good selection of hotels in the city, but if you like a Hilton then you will be ok, it could just do with a little bit of a face lift in the rooms.

Fabulous example of Hilton hospitality. This is a first class hotel. Ours was a large corner room with a lovely view of Victoria Park. Great public transport availability with trams, and busses 1/2 a block away. Biggest breakfast buffet anywhere and it is always fresh. Excellent service awaits your every need.
Rob M — Google review
Don't get me wrong, the hotel is clean for the most part, and the people at the front desk are lovely. Location is good. But time stood still here. All this wood paneling, wood cabinets, and marble makes me think of the early '90s. The breakfast is mediocre. Also, aim for a room higher up in the building, facing Victoria Square. The back of the hotel overlooks a huge, very noisy construction site.

The property features non-smoking rooms with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and sound-proofed windows. Guests can choose from three dining options including a bistro, sports bar, and gaming room. Additional facilities include a casino, picnic area, and complimentary parking.
Love, love the Marion Hotel and Cellars, the rooms are neat and well maintained. The service is always with a smile and informative, and the location suits us, as we love the short drive to great shopping and recreational attractions/locations. We would personally recommend the location to stay or enjoy a night out, as we love the food and the prices. Enjoy.

The room I visited to catch up with a mate was very nice. Not sure of the rates but as a very local I never ever go to the Marion cellars. The range available is impressive but the prices are uncompetitive and although open late I'd rather ride my bike to the Highway Hotel on Anzac Highway to save considerable money and they are open even late r

im so sorry this is a bit late but we hosted my best friends bridal shower 2 weeks ago in the outdoor function room and it had to have been one of the best services we’ve ever experienced!!! Everyone was so nice and helpful throughout the whole night but a very special shout out to Rene (the manager im assuming) she was hands down THE BEST! we all loved her so much we received so much feedback even from our guests regarding her performance!!! She was just amazing so so helpful, funny, kind and just brilliant! definitely put the venue on the map for us! such a good experience

I dined in the restaurant on a Sunday night, the room was full. The service was still personal and outstanding. The meals came in a timely manner and were so delicious. The portion was big though, so make sure youre hungry! Thanks team, will be returning

Very disappointing meal today. Took my elderly mother out for lunch. Her chicken schnitzel was dry, her chips were cold and unappealing. My so called prawn pizza had a few scraps of dried prawn meat and way too much cheese.. on a plus note the service behind the bar was good. But no follow-up service at all.

Awesome place to stay. Free easy carparking. Great bars under the accommodation to have meals and a drink. You don't need to go anywhere else. Beds are so comfortable. We keep coming back.

Went to the Marion hotel with interstate guests as was on way home and had a 1.5 hour drive to get home in country ! Thought would be lovely but I was mistaken ! Thought after the renovations etc would be an ideal place for dinner as had previously many years ago been for dinner ! I was so so incredibly disappointed friends Ordered the mushroom gnocchi the size of the gnocchi would have fitted on a side plate and tasted like paste no flavour and over top price for less than an entree serve The chicken parmigiana was small should be a full size but looked very very small and was burnt around the edges and thin ! The drinks were I suppose reasonable for city prices ! We called to book in but were told just roll up as it’s not busy well it was booked out ! And pay the prices for 4 and than get your own cutlery and napkins etc and collect your food - very disappointing ! Went to use the ladies toilets and paper everywhere and no soap to wash hands ! Advised bar staff re toilets but seemed not interested ! The chairs we sat on 2 were badly stained on the seats and needed a clean ! A very very expensive night over $200 for 4 meals and a drink each ! Was so incredibly disappointed. What has happened to dining and experience ! Very very disappointed ! Won’t be going back ! Felt like take ya money and on your way ! Disappointed ! Only one bar staff member seemed interested in chatting to you young Tom nice young man! The other staff tried to chat to and ask what to drink etc ! And NO ROAST of the DAY ! My elderly friend all he wanted was roast of the day !what sort of dining experience has no roast !? No roast I was told you get what’s on the menu and that’s all we have ! Fish n chips what sort of fish ?? Pizzas are basic nothing to write home about! Very very disappointed ! Would have stopped further down the coast of knew they were open after heading home ! Will not be returning ! First time have eaten in the city in years was so Looking forward to the whole experience ! Well left us with an experience that our hip pockets certainly will remember ! Very very disappointed ! Ps since I posted this review I have been in contact by email and also by response below ! Not that it was offered and wasn’t looking for but wasn’t even offered a glass of wine to return and change my mind etc ! Well once bitten twice shy ! It takes 79% of resources to market to a new client 6% to get the client to return and if they attend 3 times they are generally loyal for life ! Think about the marketing ! The experience that I felt and my friends family from WA! And they have won numerous WA tourist awards ! What do you think they gathered from this !? I live in the country ! Where if need to would I stay in the city !? Tried to support a local SA business honestly tried to give to a local and deeply disappointed !

Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean comfortable large rooms. Beds are to die for. Up to date furnishings. Only drawback is refrigerator is so small you can only fit 2 bottles of water and a couple very small items. No toaster, no microwave. Although staff did supply me with microwave on request.

InterContinental Adelaide, an IHG Hotel, is a luxurious accommodation located on the vibrant Jetty Street in Glenelg. The hotel offers elegant rooms and suites with picturesque city views and marble bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, gym, and dining at three restaurants including Riverside for signature dishes and Shiki for award-winning Japanese cuisine. Situated by the River Torrens, it's conveniently close to Adelaide's key attractions like the Festival Centre, Convention Centre, and Casino.
This is my third time staying here and I can definitely say that it is one of my favourite places to stay. The photos on their website are basically identical to the photos I took which is super reassuring because sometimes online the photos don't usually match up 1 to 1. But fortunately that photo online matched the quality of the rooms in real live which was beautiful. The view on the rooms are absolutely beautiful and it doesn't matter if you're on the city window side or the river view side both are just as aesthetically pleasing. If you drive to this place you have the option to pay for a parking spot on the massive U shaped driveway and showcase your car. Or you can pay for public parking just around the corner it's just up to your preference. The only negative thing is it's price. But to be fair you are definitely getting for what you paid for.

My experience at the accommodation was not very pleasant. Unfortunately, I encountered a significant issue with bed bugs, which made my stay quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in my room was malfunctioning, and despite bringing this to the staff's attention, no corrective measures were taken to resolve the issue during my stay. On a brighter note, the breakfast buffet was truly impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options that helped start my day on a positive note. However, I still feel that the overall experience was not worth the money. On the positive side, the toilet was very clean, and the staff provided dental kit essentials daily without needing to be asked multiple times. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth as well.

What a wonderful hotel. Not modern but makes up for it in design, facilities and service. The rooms were moderately large and oozed 80s / 90s luxury. Oh the service, magnificent, this is what seperates an average hotel with an exceptional one. The breakfast was amazing with the highlights being the juice your own drink and the made to order eggs. With a location right on the river opposite the Adelaide oval, with a tram stop (leading to Glenelg and the beach) just out the front and only a 5min walk to Rundle Mall this is a must stay iconic Adelaide hotel.

We stayed a night for a friend’s wedding. The location is great - close to public transport, food and amenities! We arrived earlier than the usual check-in time and were offered early check-in. The rooms and the hotels are a bit run down. But nothing unacceptable. The next morning was quite off-putting though when we found multiple worms in our bathroom (pic attached). Wasn’t expecting this from a 5 start hotel. The hotel on its part assured the hotel is fully pest controlled and offered 5k IHG points.

I've been here 30 mins and I'm already incredibly impressed. The service is excellent and I actually feel cared about. The room is beautiful and the food is fabulous. Looking forward to the rest of my stay. And now I'm at the end of my stay. Everything was a good as it possibly could have been. The highlight was the kind and friendly staff who never hesitate to offer support where they could. A stand out was Hannah who provided some much needed social interaction for me when I felt sick. Kindness is free and this team understood that. Thank you all. I hope to stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best location in the heart of Adelaide — can’t fault that. However, the customer service in the restaurant was very poor. We attended an event today, and unfortunately, the service was absolutely dreadful. When you’re hosting over 30 guests and spending between $3,000–$4,000, you expect a much higher level of professionalism and attention. The staff definitely need retraining in customer service. On a positive note, the food was beautiful — but the overall experience was let down by the service.

Had an enjoyable 4 night stay. Rooms, ensuite, wardrobe all spacious. Very quiet, comfortable beds. In room safe. Good cleaning standard. A/C ok. Big screen TV with local channels and Foxtel. Free wifi ok. Large gym and outdoor heated swimming pool. Excellent central downtown location. Service generally good but a few hiccups at busy times.

I’m an IHG Ambassador and a loyal InterContinental/Holiday Inn guest. In the past two years I’ve stayed at 20+ IHG properties across 20+ countries. InterContinental Pattaya, Bangkok, Hanoi, and Wellington are easy 100/100s for me. InterContinental Adelaide, sadly, was a 10/100. The location is 100/100—right by the river and close to everything—but the rest didn’t meet the brand I know and love. I paid ~AUD 800 for three nights. Even with an “upgrade,” my room felt like a standard Holiday Inn rooms. The moment I got in my room, my happiness died! Service is the bigger gap. What I love about InterContinental—and why I keep coming back—is the way the teams make me feel valued and recognized. At other ICs I genuinely feel like a priority guest; here, everyone seemed busy and interactions were rushed and transactional. Constructive, forward-looking suggestions: Re-train front-of-house on warm, proactive service and consistent elite recognition (clear welcome). Honestly, I’d encourage the operations leaders and team members to visit the InterContinentals in Pattaya, Bangkok, Hanoi, or Wellington to benchmark what great looks like—those hotels set the standard that guests associate with the brand. I want this property to succeed; I choose IHG because it usually delivers reliability and a little ceremony that makes travel special. None of that happened here. Until fundamentals improve, I can’t recommend InterContinental Adelaide. Overall: 10/100 experience, 100/100 location. If meaningful upgrades and service improvements are made, I’ll gladly return and update this review.

Located in the heart of Adelaide's Central Business District, ibis Adelaide offers modern accommodations with city views. The property features a casual restaurant and bar, a gym, and a breakfast room. Despite not having the luxurious finishings of some boutique hotels in the area, ibis Adelaide provides affordability and convenience. The sleek steel and glass building is conveniently situated near Rundle Mall, offering easy access to the city center.
I had a great stay at ibis Adelaide. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained. My room was comfortable with everything I needed, and the city views were a nice bonus. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Adelaide, close to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, an excellent value for money and I’d happily stay here again.

Fantastic location. Upgraded to higher level with corner room allowing for fantastic city views. All staff we encountered were so professional, nice, helpful and happy to serve. Because of this outstanding customer service, we'll definitely be back. It is hard to find great service of this kind anywhere these days.

The room had a great view, I was upgraded to a city view room, which is worth it. The location is amazing next to Adelaide Arcade, close to Rundle Mall and a Coles. The hotel is clean and safe. I don't think I'll stay in an Ibis again, however. It is very bare bones. It is rated at a 4 star, but I doubt it due to lack of amenities. For not much more you can stay in a hotel with better service. The staff were cold, when I asked for things from the reception the manager shouted at me "This is an Ibis!", read- not a good hotel. Breakfast is not worth what they charge. The coffee is $5 extra. The breakfast at the Pullman is $5 more, much better food and includes barrista coffee and omlette bar. There is a $150 security deposit. I was asked to pay $60 for early check-in despite being Accor Gold- leaving me wondering what is the point of Accor status.

This hotel ticks my top 3 things - 1. Bed that's comfortable - tick 2. AC that's responsive - tick 3. Shower pressure is great- tick Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations by a lot. Bed is comfy, AC is extremely responsive and doesn't appear to be "locked" to a small temperature range. I'm also super impressed with the shower that has awesome pressure AND it heats quickly. Location is very convenient. On-site buffet breakfast is yet another bonus. Not keen on their "grab and go" scheme to replace room service as it would be quicker to order Uber Eats or go out and grab food from elsewhere but that's a small negative to many great positives.

Despite the fact we had about $200 worth of clothing stolen from the dryer, we enjoyed our stay. There needs to be a camera installed at the laundry door. The Manager, Storm was very supportive and helpful but he still wasn't able to reimburse us for the stolen clothing. Good location. Good restaurant. Lovely staff.

Stayed here recently in the deluxe suite. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy but you couldn't adjust the a/c so I found my room incredibly hot. Luckily I could open the balcony door to let some fresh air in. As for the bathroom there was a trip hazard leading from the carpetwd bedroom to the tiled bathroom floor. There was a dodgy stain in the bathtub and the shower was too close to the toilet. The tap ware in the basin was a bit loose. I wanted an office chair so I could work on my laptop at the desk next to the tv but there wasn't one available. The chair provided wasn't ergonomic at all. There is no dining table or chairs in the unit even though there is room so you can order room service and eat at a table. Dining on your lap isn't really proper. The restaurant part is great the service staff do an amazing job. Cocktails are very reasonably priced too. It could be good but unfortunately for what you pay for a better than average room, it isn't that great

I stayed here during a business trip and unfortunately found the workspace setup lacking—desks had TVs sitting on top, making it difficult to work effectively even after upgrading rooms. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the restaurant served fantastic meals, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. If you're traveling for leisure, it's a great spot—but business travelers may want to confirm room layout details beforehand

We had a lovely weekend in a two bedroom apartment here. We were upgraded to ocean view which was lovely. Apartment clean and warm with full amenities and very well stocked kitchen. Impressed it had a washer dryer too. We loved the indoor pool and spa (it was the middle of winter). There was some loud music coming from the club below but it stopped around 9pm so wasn't an issue.

Ready good clean rooms. Well equipped and spacious. Worth noting that the Pier hosts an event most Fridays and Saturdays which is a bit noisy. However we never heard it from our room. I enjoyed my stay and would go back. We used Belle Apartments who are very helpful.

Room and service were second to none, had a view of the beach and woke to the sounds of the waves every morning and the last thing we heard when going to sleep. The restaurants close by where incredible and everyone is catered for. Staff are always do friendly. Please note that we booked through Bookings.com and they don't mention the additional charge for parking so if going through them please be mindful, but the hotel does stipulate this on their website. Hence not their fault. Highly recommend and will be back 12 out of 10.

Staff were super friendly throughout our whole stay, from check-in to cleaning staff etc. The room was really beautiful and spacious, it had a great view of the ocean and the sunset and an extremely comfortable bed/pillows. The location was amazing, we were able to walk everywhere we needed, and having parking beneath the hotel was super convenient to get our things in and out of the room with ease (my partner brought his fishing gear easily from the car to the room). It wasn't specified clearly that parking costs aren't included in the price of the stay (it was an extra $30 per night) but it was a convenient spot right by the elevators. The main downside was how little privacy there was between our balcony and the room next to ours; only a glass pane separated half of our balcony from theirs. If they stand in the corner of their balcony, they have full view into our room if our curtains are open, and I didn't feel entirely comfortable doing so because of this (as someone who likes privacy, this wasn't great). There were a few cleanliness issues (very dusty beneath front of bed and behind TV cabinet, slight moisture swelling at bottom of bathroom door etc) but mostly minor issues that didn't overall affect our stay or comfortability. We enjoyed our weekend and would stay again.

I stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with my parents. Nice views from balcony. Great location on the beach, close to restaurants and shops (note parking is extra). Unfortunately the tram into the city is out of service for a few months, but replaced with buses. WiFi was intermittent, but I didn't bother to ask reception. The room had good kitchen facilities and a washer/drier. The main bedroom was quite small and there wasn't much room to move around.

Booked a last minute stay here during a weekday. We didn't have any issues getting a room. What we got was fine for what we needed. The location was perfect for what we needed.

Stayed 18/10/2025 Checked in was good went to room and thats when the horror story started Room on level 3 park view, walked in and there was a huge wet patch on the carpet and the place smelt, went to sit on the lounge and it was filthy with stains and what looked like mens bodily fluid, oven was also dirty and a moldy bathroom Rung reception they came to inspect and moved us to a lovely apartment on level 5 well I thought that until I stripped the bed the following morning and found blood on the blanket and also food stains and that wasn't the worst. On the mattress protector it was covered in pee stains. Also moldy bathroom, Absolutely disgusting. This place is absolutely filthy. Spoke to reception on departure and told them about the stains and their response was, oh they are clean we send them off to be dry cleaned every 4 months. That is not my idea of cleaned

Room was clean. Location ideal. Price was a shock given that before i rang the hotel to book i checked online rates. I was charged more than $100 higher than the advertised rates online. When questioned this is was assured the rate was correct and I was questioned as to how I knew of a different rate. The discussion was going nowhere so I left. Before you stay here, have a clear idea of what you are going to be charged. Not good.

We stayed one night and everything was great. Easy check in late at night. Clean comfortable room with a bit of charm at a good price. Able to store luggage while shopping the next day and a parking bay to pick it up from the next day in the middle of the CBD. Has a restaurant but we didn’t try it.

YHA Adelaide Central is a modern hostel located in the heart of Adelaide CBD, just 0.56km from the city center. The hostel offers simple dorms and rooms, a shared kitchen, and a bright lounge area. Guests appreciate amenities such as cubbies with labels for food storage in the kitchen, plug-in lockers, donation bins in the washer room, and individual lights at beds.
Ground floor showers were unusable the entire time I was there (8 days) so its kinda annoying to use the 1st/2nd floor bathroom. Other than that the hostel were okay. Love the free towel. The guy front staff (glasses with white hair) on 29/04/2025 were amazing!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of my solo travels through Australia. Hostel is nice overall, kitchen, bathrooms and communal spaces were clean. Not a super busy / fun vibe hostel, lot of people staying there for work etc. On the downside I had booked an all female dorm and on the last night woke up to 2 men staying in the room….other than that it was an ok stay.

The YHA Adelaide Central is by far the best hostel in the city. From the moment you check in, you notice how clean and well-organized everything is. The rooms are spacious, always spotless, and the beds are super comfortable, you’ll actually get a good night’s sleep here! The bathrooms are kept in great condition, and the kitchen is big, fully equipped, and always open, which makes it easy to cook your own meals at any time of the day. The vibe is perfect: safe and relaxed, but also social enough to meet amazing travelers from all over the world. You can chill, focus on your own trip, or connect with new friends the atmosphere gives you the freedom to choose. The common areas are cozy, and it never feels overcrowded. The location is excellent right in the city, walking distance to shops, cafes, public transport, and Adelaide’s main attractions. On top of that, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They’re always available with a smile and genuinely make you feel at home. To all the French travelers (and everyone else too!) come here, you won’t regret it. Clean rooms, super comfortable beds, and a kitchen that’s always open. This is exactly what you want from a hostel. And believe me don’t go to Tequila Sunrise because YHA Adelaide is on another level! 🔥

The cleanest and well-organized hostel I’ve ever been to. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with requests and questions With quiet room in place, the hostel feels more like a college dorm than a weed-smelling slum. The only social place is on the first floor where you can watch tv, cook and play pool, other than that, the ground floor and the rooms are all very quiet and peaceful.

The counter staff couldn't be faulted and the place was clean. The kitchen and eating area was huge and clean. The tourist spots were easy to walk to. However, I couldn't put my finger on what it was that didn't jell for me. Was it winter? I'm well and truly a senior so perhaps that might have had something to do with it too.
Brian W — Google review
Absolutely loved my stay here! The location is unbeatable right in the heart of the city, perfectly positioned between the bus and train stations, which made getting around incredibly easy. The staff went above and beyond, their helpfulness truly exceeded my expectations. The hostel was clean, cosy, and had a welcoming vibe throughout. Free internet worked well. Highly recommend this place for comfort, convenience, and exceptional service!

A good spot to stay with groups large or small. Rooms can be selected to accommodate any needs. Shared spaces are clean and tidy.
Hillary T — Google review
I’m impressed by YHA’s commitment to environmental sustainability in its hostel operations—a quality that’s relatively uncommon in the predominantly for-profit hostel industry, where such initiatives often entail additional costs. The laundry room features clothes lines for guests who prefer to air-dry their laundry, reducing reliance on energy-intensive dryers and contributing to a smaller carbon footprint. It also includes Vinnies donation bins, enabling guests to donate personal belongings and extend their lifecycle—an initiative that aligns with the core principles of the circular economy. The most standout feature is the communal kitchen layout. It comprises five individual “cubicles,” each equipped with a gas stove, microwave, food preparation area, wash basin and small kitchen caddy for food & organics waste. This thoughtful design offers guests a degree of personal space while cooking—an uncommon feature among hostels in Australia. Additionally, the kitchen’s generous opening hours, from 4 am to 12 am, are among the most accommodating I’ve encountered in hostels across various countries.

The Adabco Boutique Hotel is a charming accommodation located in a heritage-listed Venetian Gothic-style building in the heart of central Adelaide. This upmarket hotel offers warm and inviting rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi and terraces, providing a touch of class and elegance for guests during their stay.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Adabco Boutique. Nestled in a beautifully restored heritage building, the hotel exudes charm and character. What truly sets Adabco apart is the fascinating story behind its establishment. The hotel breathes life into the rich heritage of the area, with each corner reflecting its unique past. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. My room offered a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. Overall, Adabco Boutique Hotel is a gem that beautifully showcases the heritage of the area while providing a delightful and comfortable stay.

Stayed there for the Lions Rugby weekend. Massive surcharge on this weekend and average service. No housekeeping service in either on the rooms we booked. Our check in was average with little to no explanation of the services offered at the hotel. Heard other guests checking in later getting a much more informative welcome.

We had a great stay at Adabco Boutique Hotel. The room was mid-century-esque, stylish, and perfect for working remotely— great desk, stable Wi-Fi, and lots of natural light. Quiet location but right in the city. Loved the heritage charm with modern touches. Would definitely stay again!

Kind of far away from everything in Adelaide, rooms were ok (but dated) but the main issue was the staff.... Inflexible staff , with out dated policies that they force you into (giving your credit card details direct to them for a deposit even though the booking company has them on file. Despite the fact that no proper hotels take this kind of deposit anymore). This is just a fraud risk (having your card details on file) as the staff appear to be disinterested and unhelpful. I was also told I would have to speak to reception (which I was assured would open on time), in fact I was given the wrong information and didn't have to speak to reception at all. On top of that the girl who came to open reception was late so myself and other guests were standing in the lobby waiting until she decided to arrive. Stay somewhere better 👌🏻

We enjoyed 3 nights here. The staff were professional and friendly. The location is good, within walking distance to the city centre. Breakfast is a voucher to the very nice Diaspora Cafe, again within walking distance. Great value 🌻
Trish H — Google review
The room is great. The TV is old, no Netflix or even YouTube. We stayed 3 nights and no room make up because the hotel said we have to inform the front desk for it. So, no bottle of water supplies. Or we can spend 2 dollars for it. Disappointing about services.
Luca L — Google review
This place is definitely overdue for a freshen up of decor, looks very dated. Upon entering room there was a 12 inch tear in the carpet that I tripped on , simply unacceptable as it’s a HAZARD! Better standard hotels close by .

A short business stay for me. I was greeted by Simi at reception assisting me directions and services. So friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully appointed, bed very comfortable and a picturesque view of a tranquil court garden. I had a delicious breakfast served by Chloe. Also friendly and courteous. Thank you for a great stay Adina Hotel Apartments Adelaide Treasury.

The rooms were lovely, beds comfortable, and everything worked well. The staff were helpful. Loved the spa after a long day out! The bar area was also lovely. I gave the room 4 stars because of the shower, which some might find slippery (and difficult to get in/out of) however the hotel does offer a solution to this.

We requested additional bed for our son at time of booking, on the day of arrival i called hotel and they confirmed they already put addi6bed in the room. We arrived very late at night and during checkin they charged us for additional bed but when we went to room we didn't find the bed and called reception which took forever to bring a new bed. Room was not cleaned properly, we found a pair of socks from previous guest which was discussing, asked staff to remove it. Overall , we liked the location but the staff and services very poor

What a great place to stay in Adelaide. The location is perfect - close to everything but not too close/noisy. The historic building is stunning and the rooms are very spacious for a multi day stay. The in room washer and dryer were great. Only downside is a nearby alley has folks sleeping in the rough. Normal if you are a city person, probably a bit unusual if you are not city savvy.
David S — Google review
Very happy with our choice. Our studio room was exactly as pictured. Great to have fridge, microwave, sink, dishes etc so could have breakfast in the room and snacks later. Hotel left us a lovely bottle of wine which was unexpected. Bed very comfortable and room was a good size. Staff were great to deal with on every occasion, including those working on the floor. Secure parking was offsite but just a very short walk away. Walked to Rundle Mall and North Terrace museums, State Library etc. Also a 5 minute walk to Her Majesty's Theatre. The hotel itself is very atmospheric. Would certainly stay there again.

Fantastic experience here. The old treasury building is steeped in history and has been sympathetically converted to a hotel. Lovely staff, great location.

Pros: - The location of this hotel is incredible. - Bed was comfy, bedroom was nice and quiet (we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, on the east end on Level 1). - A/C works great. - Washer and Dryer in the room made it very convenient. - Gym, pool and jacuzzi were welcome extras - Kitchen inside the room was also fairly equipped. - Dishwashing liquid and washing powder was also provided. Cons: - Building has aged, there are cracks in the plaster in the room and the floors creak loudly, which isn't great for a sleeping baby. - Can be quite noisy in the entrance of the apartment due to other guests, but very quiet in the bedroom. - Shower / bath's handle is in the middle of the shower, and so is the tap, which gets in the way if trying to have a bath. - We stayed for 4 nights and sheets weren't changed, though towels were. - Parking is off-site and is an extra $25 per day. - Access to gym / pool has to be requested through the reception each time, the room card doesnt grant access.
Kartik M — Google review
The Adina Apartment Hotel Adelaide Treasury is a very nice place with some small flaws. The building appears to be a very old building of historical significance. I stayed in room 4. The room itself was nice, A/C works great, bed was reasonable comfortable, but I noticed a few things that stuck out to me about the room. A lot of the ceiling and walls were not flush, kind of like they were assembled and pieces together. There is a crack going down the front room wall that was patched very poorly. There is a porch with a table and chairs enclosed by a fence connected to the room, unfortunately there is a lot of homeless people hanging outside of the fenced area that were quite loud and rude. After closing the doors after checking out the porch I noticed the metal door closers looked like they were about to fall off the wall, which led my eye to notice the door is not sealed at the top or the bottom. I saw quite a bit of small bugs at random, probably coming in from those openings. The floor creaks in most of the room, like there is wood underneath the carpet. The shower is very unusual; the handle is on the side, not near the front or back of the shower area. I had trouble bumping the handle and randomly turning it off while taking a shower. There is no sliding door or curtain in the shower, so water gets everywhere. No exhaust fan in the bathroom even though there is a vent for it. Some positive aspects of the property would be the small work out area, pool and Jacuzzi, very refreshing and relaxing. I loved having a washer and dryer in the room, very convenient. They do have parking, but it about a five-minute walk from the Adina. They had trouble getting me my tax invoice due to onsite computer issues that were a little frustrating, but I dealt with it. Even though I mentioned all those negative things I noticed while staying there, I did enjoy staying here, and the staff was friendly and the property is overall a nice one.

Was a good stay. Room was small but good for two people. Bed started splitting into two seperate beds and we couldn’t figure out how to put it back together so kept falling down the crack. Tv definitely needs to be updated, struggled to get channels and no Netflix or any other streaming platforms. Bathroom was good, tap water tasted great. Overall enjoyed the stay, would go again.
Tahliya P — Google review
The 150m walk for check in is not an issue. The rooms are small though. The bed was comfortable (though 2 singles butted together !) and the room clean. Single person shower only. Note to management. Spend some money and replace all those shitty Hicense TV's that are 20 years old. Half the time I had to turn the tv off and on again after it locked up multiple times. You could probably fit each room with a decent smart tv for $500 (which guests could then log into Netflix etc and have a decent electronic tv guide). Also consider fitting the TV's a tad lower so your guests don't feel like they are looking at the ceiling when watching the tv :)

Room was fine. Good location. 2 minute walk to the city bus stop & regular buses. The only issue I have is that they take a $100 bond on your card which can take several days for the bank to return. Other than that, it was all good.
Marc-Austin T — Google review
My main point for this review is the $500 deposit, they keep for up to 7 business days. It’s been 5 and still haven’t gotten back, but I just found this amount beyond excessive. Not to mention how long it takes to get back. I would really suggest a revamp to that. Some people literally don’t have $500 for a deposit they won’t get back for over a week. Not to mention you can hear everything in this place from above and the rooms beside you. But otherwise great location, and service was good for the price.
Kyle B — Google review
This hotel was booked by a group we were travelling with, so we had no choice. The room was small for 2 unrelated people who needed 2 beds: unable to turn over in bed without the top mattress falling away from the base, or the wheels not locking, and the beds colliding. There was only one sitting option for 2 people. The art was good. On day 2, the toilet failed to flush: as it was a Saturday, there was no staff to help: the person at the end of the phone was good at transferring a call and not much else. So we were offered a mother room, which did not have any seats, as it turned out. The electric points are flush with the floor, making use by eg CPAP machines impossible. It is hard to explain how really frustrating this stay was.
Linda M — Google review
The only positive was the awesome receptionists at Majestic M Suites who checked us in. When we booked on Agoda it never said we had to check in 1.5km from the hotel after hours. For a corporate owned hotel it’s pretty crazy that there’s no self check in option. The keycards didn’t even work and the poor receptionist had to come help us from the other hotel… the phones on site never worked and we had to ask another guest to help us call for help. Unacceptable service if you’ve to check in after hours.
M S — Google review
The so called Double Bed was in fact 2 single beds with a strip of white stuff, they thought would keep the bed together, unfortunately it didn't and the beds sseparated. Mattresses were rock hard, very uncomfortable indeed. I didn't even get 2 hours sleep at all. I will NOT recommend anyone to stay there, as I cannot recommend the place. Very disappointed 😞 Booking was in the surname of Gale. Shower was a joke. I have a photo of the bed but unfortunately don't know were to put it

I had a wonderful six day stay at this hotel! Parked my car in the carpark over the road and didn't move it for six days! Walked into town and everywhere I wanted to go including the Hutt Street shops. Very civilized hours with the cleaners. I don't like to get out of bed too early! Got a nice discount for booking direct and got to raid the mini bar.I will be going back again.

The pool closes from April to September but that wasn’t on the website. We only booked so we could enjoy the heated rooftop pool and it was closed. Room had a see through blind and no curtains so street light made it hard to sleep. Lighting in the bathroom was so bad I had to hold the torch up so my husband could shave. Never again.

Cheap Friday night didn't know what to expect. Location good free parking after 6pm till 8am. Would be great when Fringe and Gluttony is on. Comfortable bed Negative comments- TV is not smart, no usb ports. Had I brought my charger and portable speaker this would not have been an issue.

We had a truly exceptional experience—something we had not encountered before in Adelaide. The Soho hotel is ideally situated in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, offering a restful environment completely free from noise disturbances throughout our stay. The interiors are tastefully designed, featuring a distinctive and stylish décor that adds character to the property. The service at the reception was outstanding—professional, attentive, and consistently warm. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests promptly and with genuine care. Our room was modern, spotless, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent—well-prepared, satisfying, and offered at a very reasonable price point. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable stay, and we would gladly return on a future visit to Adelaide.

Stayed here a few weeks ago, service was great but the room.. erm not so much. The room was on the verge of falling apart, paint chipped off the walls, the shower water seals were rotten. The bed was okay very very solid as were the pillows. Was not worth the price. N.K.
Nathan K — Google review
A boutique hotel located on the East End of CBD, short walk from some eateries for convenience. However lovely looking photos on website, it was but a very run down small hotel in reality. Street parking available but can be a challenge as limited space for drop off pick up loading zone. Check in check out was quick with ease, upon leaving just return key in locked box at front counter and no interaction with staff required. **Very disappointed ** their much advertised hotel’s roof top heated pool was closed for the next few months. This was not mentioned on their website! This should have been stated upon booking, I guess this is their “not asked, don’t tell” kind of rule, my bad. The room itself; Bed comfortable, however found a sharp broken piece of plastic “something” in the sheets, could have been a bloodshed or other horror stories, luckily not. TV is not a smart tv. No bedside lamps. 2 lights were not working but it was too late in the night so couldn’t be bothered to follow up. You’d link this was checked by staff beforehand. The bathroom had no ventilation/no exhaust fan as a minimum so it was terrible after a steamy hot shower. The shower tiles were chipped & cracked in bathroom so evident repair work had been done but not a great job covering up with missing tiles. No views worth looking out the window as we were put on the lower level, unfortunately the blind’s electric buttons don’t work so the manual roll up & down cord sufficed. Amenities were limited but slippers and a comb was a nice touch. The room was near a linen storage so could hear the noise of staff accessing several times during the short stay. Overall, for the $ paid it i wouldn’t be returning anytime soon. Much nicer accommodation around for better value.

We stayed one night here to catch a show, and to catch up. Lovely rooms, thoughtful and helpful service, particularly in terms of parking both cars on site and leaving one after we checked out while we had breakfast at the very nice Cafe on the corner. Really great! Really comfy bed! Couldn't help hearing the planes though, gee they start early! I'd forgotten about that as I don't live in the city! Other than that, a quiet and peaceful and central location. Perfect for our night in town! Thank you, it was really lovely!

Recently stayed here again and yet again could not fault this place. As usual the bed was nice and soft- I like the fact that the sheets don't smell of bleach as some places I've stayed in do. The MOR bathroom products are always a nice touch, and speaking of bathrooms, the water pressure is very good with almost immediate hot water. I used the washing machine and dryer on site this stay and they were spotless and easy to use. I always get a good nights sleep here. No street noise and no loud bands pub- style! Carpet is clean and the mini- bar is quality. There are less than a handful of places I'll stay in Adelaide and this is absolutely my first choice.

Third time staying here. As always, the accessibility of the room meant a comfortable and safe stay for me and my son. Plenty of room for a wheelchair, a high/low bed with sides, and a spacious wet room style bathroom. The toiletries and refreshments provided are all super high quality and thoughtfully chosen. The vending machines with main meals are a stroke of convenience based genius. The only things that aren't perfect are the lighting, the room is very dark at all times of the day without the main lights on, which are awkwardly placed, and the high/low bed in rather ancient (and possibly haunted by the noise it makes going up and down!) We love staying here, and really appreciate the location for Women's and Children's appointments.

A wonderful place to stay. Comfortable, well equipped, free onsite parking. Only 2 storeys, not a huge multi-storey tower. Walking distance to heaps of cafes and restaurants. I've stayed across most of the Majestic offerings in Adelaide and, so far, this place is the nicest of them. The staff were friendly and attentive olwhen we arrived, our room was ready for an early check-in and it is a really lovely room, good size so we don't feel cramped, a really lovely bathroom with a bath and a good sized balcony. I'd really have liked to try the spa suite but I guess that will need to wait for next time. Will likely stay again when we're next in Adelaide.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic 3-night stay at Majestic M Suites and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The staff were all incredibly well-trained and provided excellent service. Our room was not only clean and spacious but also boasted a wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows – we slept so well! The hotel's location is convenient too. It's a pleasant 30-minute walk into the city, and the free City Connector bus stop right outside the hotel was a great bonus for getting around. We also appreciated the availability of car parking upon request. For the quality of the accommodation and service, the price was fantastic value. To top it all off, Adelaide is a truly beautiful city to explore! We highly recommend Majestic M Suites and would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been to Adelaide 7 times and stayed at 13 different hotels across Australia. Out of all of them, this was by far the worst experience. Honestly, I don’t understand how this hotel is rated as the number 1 in Adelaide. My search on google pointed me to this being #1 but tbh this is not even in the top 13 of all the previous 13 hotel I have stayed at. My guess is their PR team is working overtime with influencer reviews, because my stay was a complete nightmare. The lobby looks nice, but that’s where the positives end. Here’s why I rated it 1 star: 1-Overpriced & Misleading Rooms – doesn’t justify the size. This is a small tiny room with a lounge to sit in and a kitchen. It’s smaller than the smallest apartment rooms in any 4 star hotel. We decided to take this hotel due to thinking it might be bigger than our previous Adina in city and Sofitel and boy i was wrong. I payed the same amount for a room that is barely half the size. 2- laundry Machine Disaster - I feel like smashing this machine apart. I’ve bought second-hand washers from Marketplace that perform far better than this useless one. Even a basic 45-minute cycle can’t remove simple stains from a hoodie, let alone anything tougher. I’ve already run the same hoodie through three separate 40-minute washes, and the marks are still there. I have attached photo for anyone confused. They don’t even provide a proper dryer—just a washer-dryer combo. To actually get clothes dry, you have to run it inside the machine for three full hours, and I’m not exaggerating. I went to reception because I needed a few clothes ready for an event, but after one hour in the dryer, they were still dripping wet. Two hours? Still damp. It took three hours before they were wearable, and by then I had already gone out to buy new clothes for the wedding. Once the drying cycle starts, you can’t stop it or even open the door—it locks you in for three hours straight, followed by a 15-minute cooling cycle. For a place calling itself a luxury apartment, this setup is ridiculous. I’d much rather they offered a separate laundry service that you pay for but actually works. As it stands, the clothes neither wash properly nor dry properly. Add kids into the mix, and it’s a complete nightmare. 3- Wi-Fi Issues – The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all for the first two days. Staff tried to blame me for “entering the password wrong.” As a network engineer, I know when a system itself is broken. It finally started working on day three, which is a day before we left. 4- Housekeeping disaster - - zero effort 100 attitude. Extremely inconsistent home cleaning. Stayed for 3 nights. First night was fine cause we had told them to do exactly why they needed to do. Carpet never vacuumed with crumps or salt not too sure. Bedsheets left untouched and never changed. All dishes in sink never even put in dishwasher. All the empty bags were left as it was. At this point I don’t even understand what are the agenda in the home cleaning service. The reason we even take hotel instead of Airbnb is for home service. It looks like there was little to no effort in home cleaning. 5- Parking -Hard to get in due to the sharp turns and extremely hard to manoeuvre and will hit your car on curbs. Inside, there are enough spaces in theory, but most are either taken or so tightly packed that maneuvering is a hassle. If you’re traveling with kids, you basically have to drop them off first and then go park, because once you’re in a spot there isn’t enough room to open the doors wide enough to get them out comfortably. 7- Broken Door Fob Key - Even as shown in the image the door fob key fell off. In total, I wasted over $1,000 for a stay that was stressful from start to finish. From fake reviews to poor service, nothing about this hotel lived up to its claims. I left feeling cheated, frustrated, and disappointed. This is no where near to the food of luxury. This is 3.5 star at max. I will never book here again, and I strongly recommend others look elsewhere. Don’t be fooled by the hype– Adelaide has far better hotels.

Majestic M Suites being ranked as Adelaide’s #1 hotel is an absolute joke. They are not majestic — they are majestically underwhelming, mediocre at best. Let’s start with the location: this property is directly under a flight path. You might as well be living at the airport. Jets roar overhead at all hours of the day and night, and it destroys any sense of rest. I’ve stayed beside Charles de Gaulle in Paris and at some of the busiest airports in the world and had quieter nights than this. To pay this kind of money only to feel like you’re camped on a runway is unacceptable. But the staff are even worse than the noise. Cold, sneering, indifferent, joyless. They treat guests like pests, like we’re inconveniences for daring to be here. They don’t smile. They don’t care. They don’t want to be here. Every interaction feels like it’s being dragged out of them at gunpoint. It’s pathetic, it’s unfriendly, and it’s humiliating. This isn’t hospitality — it’s contempt in uniform. The apartments themselves reflect the same lifeless attitude. Yes, they’re clean and functional — but soulless, bland, and uninspired. Average, forgettable, nothing close to “luxury.” Certainly not deserving of a #1 ranking. The restaurant next door is no better: staff just as indifferent, service just as miserable, food just as forgettable. And then comes the greed. I paid for breakfast. They couldn’t meet my dietary needs, and I never used it. Any decent hotel would have removed the charge without hesitation. Here, they refused. That’s not service. That’s theft, dressed up as policy. I’ve traveled to 77 countries. I’ve had better hospitality on the Afghan border in Tajikistan. I’ve had better service in Syria. I’ve been greeted with more kindness in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. If those places can manage sincerity and basic respect, Adelaide has no excuse. Majestic M Suites is nothing more than a big fish in a tiny pond. In Europe, Asia, or the Middle East, this hotel would be crushed by the competition. Here, it floats to the top simply because the market is small and standards are low. The reality is simple: this hotel is not exceptional, it’s not luxury, and it’s certainly not “majestic.” It’s mediocre at best — and it should be ashamed of itself for pretending otherwise.

Stayed here twice and room and facilities are first class. Previous stay was a couple years ago and it still looks brand new throughout. Highly recommended and heaps of good places to eat and drink around here.

I stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. The room was extremely clean and the hotel is still close enough to the city that you do not feel too far out. The reception staff were very friendly.

Gardens
Adelaide Botanic Garden is a sprawling 125-acre oasis featuring rare plants such as the Wollemi pine and various sculptures, greenhouses, and cafes. The garden offers a range of activities for kids, including meandering pathways, diverse landscapes to explore, birdwatching opportunities, and historic buildings to visit. Visitors can access the garden from multiple entry points and enjoy attractions like the Bicentennial Conservatory - the largest single-span glasshouse in the Southern Hemisphere.
Beautiful park with many gardens that are mapped out very well. The signs are very helpful thus making sure you do not miss anything. It’s broken up into different gardens such as a rose garden and lilly pads to name just a couple. This has a lot of open ground so is great for a family picnic. This is also a free admission garden. There are tree species here that are gigantic and beautiful. The trunks are massive. There is also a wine center which offers a very large selection of wines for tasting either organized or self serve. They also offer food and wine for purchase. For the afternoon wine tasting which is more detailed it’s best to make an appointment online. However, you can also self serve taste anytime. They also have a snack bar on location.

Beautiful gardens, amazing setting and very well taken care of. Walked through the entire garden, loved every part of it. Highlight was the rose garden for sure, absolutely amazing place, will go there to chill in the future as well.

The Adelaide Botanic Garden displays a few amazing plants, the most spectacular being the Victoria amazonica, which is the second largest in the water lily family Nymphaeaceae. The gardens were designed beautifully, and reflected the visions of the early directors of the botanic garden. One needs to spend a good part of one day to wander around the 50 ha of the magnificently maintained botanic garden. I enjoyed seeing the avenue of huge fig trees and the wisteria plants which were flowering. The volunteer guides of Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide take two free tours a day. We were privileged to be shown the gardens as an event of the 18th Australiasian Botanic Garden Guides Conference.

Before visiting this Adelaide Botanic Garden for the 1st time, I didn't have much expectation as I arrived South Australia in January 2025 and experienced the longest drought seasons in history. Everywhere were dry, grey / brown but not green, especially northern parts of the Adelaide City. After five months of raining since late May 2025 and in this Spring time, I reckoned it is now the best timing to visit Adelaide Botanic Garden to see the flowers and greenery. It looked like my understanding was correct, as the Adelaide Botanic Garden was really beautiful, much better than what I expected. Everywhere were green and with beautiful flowers. Thanks to the effort of the team especially the gardeners, the garden is well maintained with healthy plants and trees, and beautiful flowers and lawns. They have kept all facilities well like the ponds, wetland, fountains, glasshouses, walkways, fences, toilets, directional signs and function rooms etc. Everything in the garden were tidy, clean and functioning well. During my visit, there were several weddings events held inside the garden, on the lawns and inside the event centres. No doubt to me here is one of the best wedding venues in Adelaide. I don't think I have walked-through every corners of the garden yet as it is so big. I will definitely re-visit quite again as it is really a nice and lovely park which is so easy to access. For example, it's good to visit it for a walk in a weekend afternoon and then cross the street to visit one of the lovely restaurants in the East End for an enjoyable dinner.

Lovely gardens to wander through. National Wine venue inside was a great surprise find for a lovely lunch. Cafe in the middle was a nice spot for an afternoon coffee. I'd noticed info about the photographic display and had planned to check it out, but only when I arrived at entry I realised it was a ticketed event.

Adelaide Botanical Gardens A great day out. Maps available at entry Well kept and maintained Gardens Lots of variety Lovely old buildings. Wisteria Arch ways both were stunning. A great place to visit if the traffic & noise of the city becomes too much. Great facilities or find a quiet spot. So much to do. Clean & tidy & looks amazing. Very reasonable prices for cafe food if you are looking for lunch but beware of the birds as they are known to steal food on occasion (there are signs warning of this in appropriate spots)

Lovely and impressive botanic garden which you must visit in South Australia! Very large that will take you a few hours to walk 🚶‍♀️ and you will enjoy coming here again and again! The air is fresh and so many kinds of colourful flowers attract you 🌸 there’re also many bizarre glass statues that made with impeccable skills so artistic and aesthetic!! 💓

Outdoor Activities
Adelaide Zoo, nestled in the heart of Adelaide, is a vibrant oasis boasting over 2,500 animals from around the world. Visitors can interact with the wildlife and enjoy unique experiences such as hand-feeding giraffes and observing Giant Pandas Wang Wang and Fu Ni. The zoo offers educational opportunities for all ages and is renowned for its captivating animal collection. As one of Adelaide's top family-friendly attractions, it provides an unforgettable day out for animal lovers.
A memorable highlight is to visit Adelaide zoo. Adelaide Zoo was founded and opened to the public on May 23, 1883. It is the second oldest zoo in Australia. Adelaide Zoo is home to over 2,500 animals representing about 250 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish. The zoo is situated in Botanic Park and provides a home for these creatures within eight hectares of botanic surroundings.
W E — Google review
It was a great experience and the zoo is very well maintained. The giant pandas were resting around 11am, so we couldn’t see them, but the rest of the visit was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly, and my daughter had a fantastic time. We were lucky to have the cheetah sitting right next to the viewing glass, which was an unforgettable moment. The meerkats, digging away furiously, put on a fun show. For me, the highlight was the walk through the wetlands as it truly felt like being transported into a real jungle environment. Would definitely recommend to visit at least once. Close to the city. Plenty of paid parking.
Shoaib Q — Google review
Absolutely wonderful, so many animal experiences to do and I got to feed a cute hippo. Loved it. I will definitely visit again when I go to Adelaide. The cafe has respectable vegetarian and vegan options and there's a water fountain close to the kangaroos. People are so friendly and nice. This is a zoo I'd actually donate to. Very close to the city and walkable distance too
Darshini — Google review
The car park for zoo allow to park maximum 4 hours. It is not long enough, but understand is a control of the flow of tourists, ensure all visitors got chance to go in and not crowded of people, so that visitors feel comfortable during the visit. The admission fee is quite high, but reasonable. Most native animals can find in the zoo. A bonus to the trip, 2 Panda is found inside the zoo, and we witness one of the panda poo poo.... Hahaha. The zoo is not as big as the one in Sydney or Singapore, but is nice to be there. There is only one restaurant inside the zoo. Foods and drinks are okay. The most lovely things is we meet a few volunteer senior work and guide visitors inside the park. So good to chat with them, and all seniors are act professional, patience, warm and nice. A thumd up for them. Wish them all the BEST!

My granddaughter and I enjoyed our visit to the zoo. It’s been over ten years since I’ve been and I was pleasantly surprised by the changes to the design. There is a great adventure type playground which my granddaughter explored enthusiastically. We also loved the overhead animal runs giving some of the tree dwelling creatures more freedom.

Had a work function after hours with a giraffe feeding experience included. Was an amazing experience. Not just the giraffe feeding but the entire function was great. Food was amazing, well presented and tasty. (My partner is a chef, so I can be picky). Staff were all amazing, remembering people's drink orders and very personable. Well trained and friendly.

The highlight of our trip to Adelaide was here at the zoo! The most beautiful and well kept botanic surrounds, an easy walk and accessible for those who need it. A beautiful home for a wide array of animals. Of course our favourites were the roly-poly pandas however there were others who were just cute.
Linda K — Google review
Adelaide Zoo provides a unique experience. As the only zoo in the Southern Hemisphere that houses Giant Pandas, it is arguably one of the most significant zoos in Australia. The two pandas, Xing Qiu and Yi Lan, are usually visible, especially when they are eating in their spacious exhibits. However, a few of the other exhibits are relatively cramped and unnatural, especially the two dingos, which at confined to a small cage exhibit. Even though it is sad to see some of the animals in an unhappy condition, the pandas are still the selling point of this zoo, and hence make it a worthwhile visit.

The West Beach Parks Resort is an upscale beach resort with pools, a cafe/bar and a golf course. It also has a skate park and tennis courts. This resort is great for families who want to enjoy some quality time together outdoors.
Family of 4, had a great time in the pool and go karts. The rooms were clean, with all the amenities and utensils required, enjoyed eating out on the balcony. We didnt use the BBQ, but it was good being there. We visited family in Adelaide, and the resort was very kind to allow them to visit us and use the pool as well. It made the family experience all that much better. The staff at reception were very friendly. Would recommend for families to visit. I also liked the cabins had a decent amount of space between them allowing for privacy. My kids rated it the best weekend getaway (4days)

The retreat West Beach Park was the perfect family getaway! For me and my three kids, the biggest highlight was the location – everything we needed was close by. From the pool, water slides, and beach to the go karts, games room, and even the gym, we had so many options. The sensory room was a standout for my autistic son – a thoughtful and inclusive touch that made a huge difference. The climbing adventure was only a minute away, as was the mini golf and golf range and we loved how easy it was to get around. Great vibes, so much to do, and super convenient for families with kids. Highly recommend!

Right from booking, the staff have been amazing. Quick to respond to emails, helpful and accommodating in their response, and the greeting upon arrival was very friendly. Am staying in the Safari Tent. Absolutely sublime. The background sound of the ocean against tent canvas on wood is relaxing beyond compare. And watching the sunset over the sand dunes is to die for. The tents are on the edge of the park giving them a real feeling of remoteness (esp Cabin 3 on the end), while still being in easy walking distance of all the fabulous facilities. It's July, and the reverse cycle air-con more than amply heats the room. No real storage, inc in kitchen, so be wise in what you pack. I would also suggest bringing deck chairs, as the ones on the deck aren't very comfortable for a long sit. As with staying anywhere along West Beach, bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Planes continue into the night and start early. Don't excited by 'gym' or 'games room.' Gym is 2 fitness bikes, a weights bench, and hand weights. Games room is 4 TVs (3 weren't working/on) with a 'retro game' that we couldn't work out how to pay. (Small price when an excellent pool area with water slides and lounges are right next door, as well as a fabulous playground.) Great to have beach access so close, with the locked gate helping one feel safe at night.

We've stayed a few times now. One younger staff member was super lovely when checking in and the other more or less growled at me. The cabin wasn't the best with a broken microwave and very uncomfortable lounges. It's dated for the price. Location is brilliant, close and easy access to everything.
Julie K — Google review
Very neat, tidy, safe, spacious, and kid-friendly place to stay on a nice beach corridor. The house is clean, comfortable, and loaded with amenities required for a family.
Kamal S — Google review
Rooms were not that great. The service is lovely. The best part is the location. It has a long line of parks and golf course around. Lots of things to do with family and kids. Only suggestion, rooms and the BBQ machine could be renovated/replaced.
Raunak K — Google review
We lives this place with kids.. Lots of people but doesn't feel crowded. Location is great. Close to West Beach and Glenelg. Lots of things to do around for kids.
James L — Google review
Don't have much positive to say sadly. Four of us stayed in the Sand Dunes cabin and the photos online made the living area look much less cramped than it actually was. The lack of supplied extras that every other self contained unit i've stayed in was also very annoying. No oil for the BBQ, no alfoil, not even salt and pepper. These are very cheap items that would've saved a few trips to the local Drakes. There was also only one of the smallest pieces of soap for four people for three days. Yes we could have gone to reception to get more but why not just have a few spare in the drawers for customer convenience? Bedrooms were nice and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was also very nice and the shower lovely. Lastly we were super disappointed at the pool. My 9 year old who is not a strong swimmer had either the option of the tiny 20cm in height baby section or drown in the shallowest area which was 1.2M. I appreciate you can't change the depth of the pool but if i'd seen on your website the shallowest area is 1.2M we wouldnt have booked it. Oh, and if that pool was actually 28 degrees I would be very surprised. The gym and the games room was laughable. We won't be back and i'm very disappointed with how much money we paid.
