Average ambience, vegetarian options in food seemed stale. Over creamy. Non vegetarian options were liked and enjoyed by the group. Only one server was present and she did the best.

We ordered 7 items via uber, no received invoice. 3 dosas were cold, 3 naan ( 2 garlic naan, 1 cheese naan) , burnt , very thick and raw inside, too much oily Kadai paneer smells like burnt , no taste I will never order again , very disappointed with this service.

One of the best Walkerville restaurants! Warm dining environment and friendly service staff, Indian food here is definitely worth trying. We ate here during a busy dinner time and the wait wasn't too long. If you like sweet curry, then I would recommend you to try the mango chicken. Mango Chicken has curry, mango juice and cream. If you like spicy food very much, Chennai fish curry is worth trying, but it will be very spicy 🌶!

We came here recently for a family member's birthday dinner and it was a somewhat chaotic experience. Despite booking ahead, there was no table prepared for our party of 10, and service was slow and lacklustre. The waiter didn't know much about the menu, such as how many samosas came in a serve. They only brought about 5 menus to the table and then only brought out 8 plates for 10 people until we asked for more. We got there at 6 and it was nearly 8 by the time food started coming out. The food was OK, definitely not the best Indian food in Adelaide, but not bad. Samosas were nice, chicken tikka was good and well cooked. Unfortunately though, it arrived in dribs and drabs, and we had to go to the bar and ask about a couple of dishes that didn't arrive. It didn't seem like the staff were used to handling a big group. The décor is a bit dated, but that's kind of charming I think. The seats are comfy and the tables aren't wobbly which is always a good thing. They had Indian music videos playing on a TV, which I liked, except when the ad breaks started because they were just streaming on YouTube. Fork out for premium! Might try again with a smaller group

Food is very delicious, front staff are so friendly, active.. Ordered maysoor masala dosa. It is best ever,and big. Coconut and tomato chutney is just ok. Butter chicken very delicious authentic. Price is reasonable in this expensive environment. They will reject if you customised any product due to their quality recipe. Eat what they serve- don’t customised. They know very well what is best.

Food here at Chennai Palace was below average. Most of the dishes we ordered had absolutely no flavour. Extremely bland and not authentic. Keep in mind the lady who served us was not having a good day, her attitude was atrocious. I don’t have much else to say about this place except maybe, give it a miss.

entrance to the restaurant is not too obvious, you have to go down flight of stairs after locating the correct door. however the ambience inside is cozy. service is quick and friendly. rice is fluffy and fragrant. lamb curry lacked a little more spice. aloo gobhi is nice but not outstanding. overall a pleasant meal but taste wise nothing exceptional.

Jasmin restaurant is in our opinion one of the best Indian restaurants in Adelaide. The entrance is just a doorway in Hindmarsh Square and then what awaits down the stairs is a special surprise. The ambience and service are impeccable along with the delicious Indian cuisine. The staff are amazingly attentive and the mood lighting gives off an old school vibe which given Jasmin is 45 years old is to be expected. We like to go here for special occasion dinners as a treat. On our latest occasion we chose the $62 Feed Me menu which was ample food and we could not fit in dessert. Our special favourite is the Blue Cheese naan which we had included in the Feed Me selection. The Jasmin team also feed the homeless once a week in Hindmarsh Square which is great way they give back to the community. Do yourself a favour and try this delightful hidden gem.

Love love love the restaurant so much. We booked a table for 18 people and able to get a private room. We had so much fun, laughter and enjoyed the meal. We were well fed by the chef with generous portion of food. We had the banquet that was scrumptious and lovely. Everybody loved the naan so much. Really tasty. 😋 Really kind of the staff to cater for little ones and made sure they had their portion well too. Happy belly, happy customers.

Food - although portions were relatively small, everything tasted really good, we had the mixed entree to share (would recommend getting it to yourself) and a chicken masala and lamb korma with a garlic naan, everything super super tasty 8/10 Service - waiter and man front of house both very friendly attentive and didn’t wait long on food :) Atmosphere - decor matches the vibes in there feels authentic nice music and lighting would return

Had a great time at Jasmin Indian Restaurant. Nice place to have lunch at the city. Upon arrival greeted by very friendly Leigh. Food was excellent- had Chicken Tikka and Egg Paratha. Restaurant was neat and clean. Highly recommended. Will visit again next time. Thanks again to all team members for the yummy foods.

We were looking for somewhere close to our hotel for a quick dinner on Saturday night and saw this place just around the corner. The entrance is a bit of a secret, a doorway leads downstairs. We were not expecting much but my goodness how wrong we were. We didn't book but were quickly accommodated by the friendly, smiling host. The decor was restrained but appealing, the food was delicious. As we enjoyed our meal, what stood out was how the host greeted each guest, welcoming each person as if they were old friends and family. If you are even in the city, it's worth finding this gem, on the Mall side of Hindmarsh Square.

Just had the most delicious Indian dinner. Jasmin is authentic, each dish had awonderful mix of herbs and spices. We love our Indian food and this was the best Indian we have had in our 35 years in Australia. You can tell every dish is based on a much loved family recipe. Service was also impeccable. Thank you and bravo to the Jasmin team!

After having a negative experience at another Indian restaurant on the same street, beyond India did not hesitate to accommodate for my group of 40 people for dinner! The experience was incredible, some of the best I’ve had in hospitality, particularly from server Nitin. Nitin created a wonderful atmosphere and overall made the night so fun for all of us. Would give all my praise to Nitin, he is an incredible asset to the restaurant!

10/10 Service! Super accommodating and got all 40 of our guests in within 10 minutes. So thankful for their service and the food was also insanely good. Would recommend to anyone💗 Shout out to our waiter who was very funny and kept everyone entertained.

The food was alright. It came out the kitchen at a timely pace, which was good. The staff were friendly. We made reservations for 6:30pm and the waiter came up to us 4 times to ask us to leave as they had more potential business. When making the reservation the leaving time was not specified so people were still eating putting me in an uncomfortable position. But generally they had lots of staff for service and food was provided at a quick pace.

We dined (a group of 4 friends) at North Adelaide tonight and while the food was good we won't be returning. When we went to pay they would not let us pay individually. They were not busy and there were plenty of staff around who could take the extra 3 minutes to charge the 3 other cards. If we had dined at 4 different tables, they would have given us 4 different bills - so what's the difference!

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, perfect for its upscale location, but they skimp on curries for the price. One server seemed lazy, taking orders from afar and passing food without coming close. For a fancy place like this, we hoped for better service and tastier food, so we left disappointed.

My experience is bad with this restaurant bcz i select for utensils on uber and i specifically wrote a note for that they don’t add any spoon or fork i ordered chilli paneer so, please can anyone tell me how i can eat it. I have gone to Beyond India many times to enjoy a classical Indian dinner. I highly recommend this place as the food is just great as the service which are both set at a high standard. A really lovely place to dine in! The Hyderabadi chicken biryani and lamb biryani were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially the friendly young woman who served us today 28/6 . Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic asian cuisine!

Worst staff ever seen in my 12 years of Australia experience Staff just ignored when we ask someone to come and listen to us Moreover, worst taste of food and worst quality and quantity Initially they gathered the table together as we were 9-10 people, then they came after 10 minutes to ask if we can give them 1 table back for walkins, but there were quite few tables still, but anyhow we got congested with kids Later after having cake some little piece gone on floor which was under the table and staff immediately came to ask if kids can move away so that they clean the foor; is it professional behaviour to ask someone to move away because they want to clean the floor first rather then focussing on serving and showing their professional behaviour towards the guests Felt awfull today and they ruin our precious day as well with their bad behaviour and worst attitude. A really enjoyable Saturday night absolutely loved it! Starting with the warm & friendly service and a classic cocktail with an Indian twist… to such high quality, fresh, authentic delicious food WOW! The timing was also on point - hats off to the chef & management. My partner & I shared vegetable pakoras (mint chutney/ raita so good), tandoori chicken (so tasty & succulent), Goan style king prawns (they were actually KING), cheese naan (the best), fluffy rice & the very unique chocolate samosas (YUMMY)! The vibe was great, the decor elegant, honestly by far the best Indian we’ve had. The empty plates speak for themselves. We’ll definitely go back again. Highly recommend it!

We have booked it through dimmi and there was a discount using dimmi. We got confirmation through text and email that our reservation was confirmed on Thursday night. We went there and because it was busy, the manager said he couldn't find a table for us. He said he needed to prioritize customers without the dimmi discount even when they have no reservations. He then lied to say that the reservation was cancelled. We waited for a while and managed to be seated after some time. We ordered 5 different dishes but they all came out almost the same colour and the taste is so similar even though they are really different type of dishes. They even reduced the size of the dishes to account for the discount. Its really quite a deceitful act. It okay to prioritize customers without the dimmi discount but to lie when advertising on Dimmi, its just a disgraceful act. Its seriously not worth going to this restaurant. The service of the waitresses are amazing and the naan is tasty but the quality of curries and the service of the manager was really appalling. Why would people come here when there are better Indian restaurants along this street? Mind boggling. Will, if you are reading this. Dont go.

Great service but for us the curry wasn't as full and rich as we like. No visible ghee which is great but the butter chicken was a little watery as were all the curries. Would recommend for mild curry lovers. Great use of spices and the cinnamon and cardamom flavours were nice however we prefer more robust.

Had a wonderful evening here with my family. The customer service was outstanding. The food was absolutely divine! You could tell it was made with love and passion. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy Indian cuisine. Will definitely become a regular here!

I have managed my sister birthday from Melbourne and Geeta (Manager) was a great help. She has coordinated well in terms of decorations and food. My sister enjoyed the food from delicious starters to tasty curries as nothing was overly spicy and hot. A bit of improvement needed with service staff otherwise manager was welcoming and looked after them well.

Four of us went for dinner Friday night. Service was friendly but very slow. The young lady serving us apologised stating that there were supposed to be two of them serving but the owner thought she’d manage on her own. Clearly she wasn’t managing on her own. Food was very good so no complaint there even though we waited far too long for it to come out. We wanted to use our entertainment book voucher but apparently the new owner isn’t honouring them. Since we paid over $200 for our meal, and clearly the owner saved money in not paying for appropriate service staff, we were unimpressed.

What used to be a great Unley restaurant has fallen from grace. Our $200 take away meal was very average. The vegetarian pakoras were extremely salty and cut into small pieces. The naan was very thin and crunchy. The curries were very similar in taste, almost indistinguishable. The portions were small, given the considerable price we paid. Hopefully they can improve and uphold their reputation.

Service is polite and friendly, but food is very slow to come out. We waited 30 minutes before any food was served. While the naan is some of the best we’ve tried, the curries are average and very watery. Flavours aren’t quite balanced either. Butter chicken was the worst we have ever tasted and almost inedible. Chicken briyani was also just okay.

This establishment offers a delightful dining experience. The ambiance creates a truly inviting atmosphere. The menu features fantastic dishes, though they may not be strictly traditional. It's a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend visiting.

Had dinner with my mate last evening. We ordered the Badami Sekewa ( Almond Chicken) and the Jhingey Ko Taraki ( prawn curry) with rice. For drinks we had a glass of the house wine and also the mango lassi. Service was fast and the food came fast. Both the dishes were delicious and the helping was sufficient to fill both our tummy. Will definitely visit again.

All the meat dishes were tasty. The chilli chicken and lamb cutlets were the favourites. The lamb was juicy, full of flavour, and had a nice chargrilled taste. The chilli chicken had a tangy, sweet and sour flavour. The garlic roti was both fluffy and crispy.

Very tasty food, I enjoyed the aromatic flavours of the dishes we chose. The staff are friendly and helpful. No rushing you out after your meals . Accommodating to relax after your meal and enjoy a cup of tea before leaving.

If you are looking for Nepalese cuisine in Adelaide this is the place for you. Very friendly service and large selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian options. Large portions are served so bring your appetite!

I had dinner with two friends and we really enjoyed our night out. We each chose an appetiser and main and shared the meal. My favourite appetiser was the tempura prawns - light and very tasty! We also had Sekewa and Samosa which were both excellent. The mains were all super tasty, the meats were tender and the flavours spot on. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions and making changes to accommodate our tastes.

Worst momo i have ever had in my life. 5 pieces of so called momos stuffed with rubber ball like chicken mince which was tasteless and the sauce(achar) was boiled tomatoes puree, straight into the takeaway box. Why is it even called nepalese restaurant when the food and taste is no where near the mark of Nepali taste.

Ordered the food via Uber eats and Naan bread is Totally Raw. Called them back and they said we are sending the 2 Naan breads but after 30 minutes still waited for Naan Breads....

We visited Raj on Taj with high expectations for a pleasant dining experience, but from the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. The staff's indifferent demeanor and dismissive interactions left us feeling overlooked, especially in contrast to the attentive service other guests received. Beyond the lack of hospitality, there was little effort to accommodate our needs or offer even basic courtesy. Rather than the warm and inviting atmosphere we had hoped for, we encountered an experience that felt unwelcoming and disappointing. As a result, we ultimately decided to leave and dine elsewhere. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes steps to improve its approach to customer service, as no guest should feel disregarded or uncomfortable when dining out

Went here for lunch and really enjoyed the curries in this cosy little restaurant. Service was adequate and fast. Also, I think this is one of the few times I’ve ever had a side of salad / greens with my curry. Not used to seeing that as you often just get the curries in a bowl / plate with very little consideration for presentation. Made the meal appealing and fresh. Would gladly return.

Ordered food through uber. Called the restaurant staff to check why the order was late. Customer service staff advised that the chef is on break for 2 hours. Chef called me back to advise me to go order from somewhere else.

Such a cosy restaurant with delicious curry. We had beef, prawns and vegetarian dishes and all were equally flavourful. We would have loved it to be abit more spicy, but that's just us. All staff were very friendly with excellent Service!

The decor of this place is wonderful and the food best Indian restaurant in Adelaide by far. My wife had the goat curry and I had the beef korma . Both meats were succulent and tender and the curry wow fantastic flavours All up great food, service and for the high quality food very reasonably priced

This place has great Indian interior, the staff is nice and polite.. but when it comes to food I was a little disappointed as none of the dishes were outstanding. They didn’t have enough flavours in them. Also I think they work a little more on their customer service skills.

Beware of this place. I found a piece of metal in my curry. I nearly swallowed it thinking it was just a piece of spice only to then spit it out and see a 1cm piece of metal. I called the restaurant as was concerned about my safety and anyone else who is to consume any of the curry out of the same batch. The owner was really rude and even accused me of putting it in there myself which is absolutely crazy. I have ordered from this place so many times over the years so am really disappointed to be treated so poorly when I was trying to do the right thing by making them aware as it would be dangerous if someone swallowed a piece of metal.

Gorgeuos indian interiors, comfortable sitting. Service is great,staff is very polite and professional. Chefs are amazing with a lot of experience from property like Taj Mahal 5 star Hotel in Delhi. Food was great in taste with authentic Indian falvours including the condiments,except papadam . Portion size of Paneer could be a bit more and Naan could be bit more crispy with layers like a traditional Indian one.

We are regulars here because of the quality of the food, its consistency and very reasonable price. The style of Indian is mild to medium and not greasy. They always cater for special requests. The menu is extensive and serves generous.

Visited KK Khanna Khazana recently and unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. It took over an hour for our main courses to arrive, and we later found out there was only one chef working in the kitchen. Despite asking four times for room temperature water, it was only provided on the fifth request. We weren’t the only ones frustrated—another family dining at the same time left in clear disappointment after a similar experience. While the food itself was surprisingly good (I’d give it an 7/10), the service was a complete letdown (0/10). There’s potential here if they can sort out their staffing and service issues, but for now, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re expecting a smooth or timely dining experience.

Best indian food you will ever have for sure. My first time visiting Khana Khazana with my friends, my indian room mate took me to this indian food heaven. you will fall in love with the soft cushy naan bread and the kadai panner and chicken masala is to die for. tbh i was little skeptical about indian food as i've heard how spicy it is. But the chef has customized whole menu for us foreign ignorant aussies. Staff was super duper nice, ambience and service was good too. Overall a well spent weekend. If you are looking for best indian food in adelaide, trust me khana khazana tops the list. Will be coming back soon...

Sad to see a previously good family restaurant tank the way Khana has. Every time I get takeaway they stuff something up. Apparently this is what a parantha is supposed to look like. When I went in to complain I was unlucky enough to have the owner there, who shouted at me (a lot) and basically said there was no problem. At one point it seemed like he wanted to punch on about it! Extremely unprofessional, in front the the whole restaurant (and staff). Managed to get him to agree to a small ($20) refund, which he said he's pay directly into my account. He didn't. I went back a week later and collected it in cash. Needless to say, I will never buy anything from there again!

Khana Khazana does proper good curries that'll warm your soul. Their butter chicken hits the spot every time and the naan's fluffier than a cloud. Solid feed when you're craving authentic Indian tucker in Glenunga ;)

Usually The Food Is Good but donno what happened yesterday the food was loaded with food colour and the Balti Paneer and Tawa Vegetables taste same like they used same gravy in both. Nobody on my table was able to make difference between them.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The food was below average, and the service was absolutely poor. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Also, it’s becoming a trend that when customers leave honest reviews, the restaurant responds saying they can’t find the booking under the reviewer’s name. Just to clarify — when dining in a group, the booking is usually made under one person’s name, so that shouldn’t be used as an excuse to dismiss feedback.

It's very easy to enjoy Indii when the food and service are in such a fantastic partnership. While I was waiting for the food, I observed the other guests and everyone looked very content with the quality and taste of food. They were short-staffed, but the lovely 2 people who tended to customers were very kind, patient and apologetic even when the customers weren't. In this world, kindness can go a long way so please don't take your frustrations on staff. They're trying their best and they worked as servers, cocktail makers, conduits between the kitchen and customers, etc. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

Visited this gem of an Indian restaurant Indii Flavours at North Adelaide on Friday night with some friends and family it was really crowded, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Though the restaurant was packed, the staff was organized and welcomed us and managed to get us a table after a short wait. Food was absolutely delicious. There was a bit of wait time but could be because they were very busy. What really elevated the evening was the wine that one of the staff members suggested. Despite the busy night, service was attentive and genuinely warm. The staff was knowledgeable about both the menu and wine pairings, which made the entire dining experience feel curated and special. Overall it was a great experience and night for us.

The food was excellent! The Gobi Manchurian was full of flavor, and the mains were equally delicious. The fish malabar is definitely a must-try. The front staff was very attentive and welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place.

I’m extremely disappointed and concerned about the experience I had at your restaurant. Finding a piece of broken glass, it is not a mistake— it's a serious health hazard. What’s even more frustrating is how owner handled the situation afterward. Trying to brush it off by blaming it on "bamboo sticks" or saying the restaurant was "too busy" is unacceptable. These excuses don’t justify risking a customer’s health. It's your responsibility to inspect food thoroughly before serving it, regardless of how busy your kitchen is. Instead of owning up to the mistake and offering a sincere apology, it felt like you were trying to cover it up or shift blame. That only made the situation worse. Accidents can happen, yes — but honesty, accountability, and a genuine effort to fix the issue go a long way. Unfortunately, I saw none of that. This experience ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable day. I urge you to take this seriously, improve your safety checks, and train your staff on how to handle these situations with integrity. Please stop making excuses and start taking responsibility.

I ordered the goat curry last night, and it was extremely oily so much so that it felt unsafe to eat. The oil content was excessive, making it heavy and unappetising. I was genuinely concerned that consuming it could cause serious health issues. Definitely not ordering from here again.

Amritsari chole kulche nice Tapas platter - chicken angara was a miss lacked flavor Chicken lollipop and chicken 65 were the 2 best options Papdi chaat - bhalla were soft but wpuld have preferred more chutney and seasoning ( could be personal preference)

We had an incredible experience at Daughter in Law Adelaide! We chose the Feed Me menu and every dish was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented. The team handled our dietary requirements with no trouble at all, making sure everyone was well looked after. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, and the service was fantastic. Our first time dining at Daughter In Law in Adelaide. We chose the 'Feed me' menu for $55pp. Absolutely delicious food, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The team handled dietary requirements very well and asked if either of us had any allergies before taking our order which made me feel very reassured as I do have an allergy to Peanuts & Walnuts - I was very impressed with the customer service! The atmosphere was vibrant, fun and the music playlist was great! We will definitely be coming back. 😁

Great Indian Food Experience in the Heart of Adelaide We had a great experience enjoying Indian food in the Adelaide CBD. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating — and even outside, they’ve installed a good heater system, which makes it comfortable during the cold winter nights. I especially enjoyed trying a variety of Indian stews and their garlic naan, which was fresh, soft, and full of flavour. The food overall was delicious and satisfying — definitely a place worth visiting for authentic Indian cuisine!

Unbelievably we were able to get a last minute booking for a table of 4 on a Friday night during Fringe 2025 so understandably the restaurant was packed, however the service was excellent with menus, drinks and food all brought out with only a very short wait. The staff were all super friendly and efficient, even taking the time to explain different dishes despite the very busy night. We also had some very specific dietries which our waitress was extremely attentive to and more than happy to accommodate for. The kitchen ran like clockwork with our meals all coming out at the same time. Food was delicious with our personal standouts being Chicken Tikka, Balls of Happiness, and the cardamom icecream (a MUST try!). Also, the decor is stunning! We are looking forward to coming again.

I ordered chicken biryani and requested it to be made spicy. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot to the point that it was not edible, and I had to throw it away. I usually enjoy spicy food, but this was far beyond that level. Please consider balancing the spice so it’s still enjoyable to eat.

Love going to this restaurant as it is always good! Upon arriving home from a very long international flight we had dinner here the other night and the food was sensational. We have been here to eat three times in the past year and are always extremely pleased with whatever we order. Service is friendly and prompt,nice atmosphere. Great place to eat if you like Indian food.

very poor service , Very disappointing experience. The food felt like it was just thrown together without any care. What we ordered didn’t match what was served, and all the paneer dishes were overloaded with masala instead of proper flavor balance. It seemed like quantity of spice was prioritized over quality of taste. Definitely not worth the price.

Waited 45 minutes after ordering before any meals arrived to our table of 6 . i then had to wait another 20 minutes before mine arrived. Everyone else had finished their meals. Staff blamed a new chef but were not friendly or apologetic. Meals were bland. Will not return or recommend.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants! Delicious food that is well presented. The only downside to this place is the late service, you have to wait a while for the food to come out.

I regret to say that our experience with Sukh Sagar was simply pathetic. This is one of the filthiest Indian restaurant we have had ever been. NO I am not saying too much. The food, ambience, toilets etc...everything was of a poor Standard. Not only the food quality was bad, the entire restaurant was dirty and full of mess. There were lots of boxes and kitchen tools stuffs lying outside in the sitting area which made us to think that as if we are taking dinner in some garage area Or getting a free food somewhere where quality doesn’t matter. On top of it, after having the disastrous dinner we thought of visiting a Loo, we were shocked to see that the Toilet was again so disgustingly appearance which was beyond my words. No soap, wet, dirt everywhere...and also it was more of a store room and was not looking like a toilet. I truly believe that the amount they are charging is not at all less which can justify that kind of shabbiness. If they are charging a decent price for the food then at least a bare minimum we all should expect is a hygiene (if not good food) which unfortunately was completely missing. This feedback is completely from a professional person who doesn’t have any kind of prejudice or nepotism towards any other restaurant. I don’t want to jeopardise their reputation, but I hope they should do something at the earliest as any educated person would never think to visit them again unless they do a big turnaround. I wish them all the best..

Great street food but the most rubbish customer service. The lady owner is very rude, does not know how to talk to customers and when we started to chat with her about her behaviour she basically told us not to bother with service. We make good food and this is how we serve. If this is the way she continues to behave and they are not going to survive. This is the last time for us. It's a shame people like this still survive in the market.

Bought 12 Naan's for $42 dollars yesterday and they were all burned.. Expensive food but worst quality, do not buy its not recommended.

One of the best Indian places around Adelaide. Food and consistency are A+. The service is not what is traditionally expected in a modern Australian customer service situation (intense customer focus, bright personality, an almost mocking politeness), but as a street food restaurant that seems to mainly exist to service the diaspora from the areas it creates its dishes from, I think expecting no cultural differences in service expectations as many other reviewers have is naive and entitled. They're always polite if brusque and their food speaks for them.

The only thing good about this place is ' mouth-watering' menu for which I do congratulate them. Unfortunately, the food is terrible. Pav bhaji is a shock to the system and the sambhar is sweet. It would help perhaps if the chef went on a cooking course!

This place gave my family and i FOOD POISONING!!!! Loved the food, don’t get me wrong. But the next 3 days were so painful. I only wish I could get a refund. Please be wary if you decide to eat here because needless to say, I am not coming back. On a side note, I felt the food was overpriced and we had to wait quite a while considering the store was not busy. I generally overlook such things however this restaurant was altogether overwhelmingly disappointing.

I visited this place last evening — such a vibrant and festive atmosphere! It’s a must-try restaurant for vegetarians and anyone who enjoys authentic Indian spices and aromas. I tried the Paneer Dum Biryani, Sola Batra, and several types of lassi — all were nearly perfect. However, the tables felt a bit too close together, which was slightly uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a great Indian restaurant to visit with family and friends.

Having been to the Sydney branches, I can confidently say the Adelaide location is even better – both in terms of food quality and overall experience. On 20th September i went there with my friend to get some gujrati snacks and we were the first cutomer of their day and there service was superb as we waited and waited and waited for so long that 3 to 4 people who came after us left after getting their order. we literally placed our order at 9'0 clock and when we left it was already past 10 and mind you it was a pickup order. Basically they just forgot that we even ordered any food. Even after reminding them multiple times their response was further excuses and further wait and all this time we were literally sitting right infront of the counter waiting for our food. I understand every one makes mistake but you have to learn some decency and manners. Their staff never told us why it took 1 hour to get some quick snacks. They Literally forgot our order and when i asked their manager who is also ill mannered told me yeah they are still packing the order. Still packing the order??? After one hour?? Man please learn how to say sorry and give some reasoning atleast otherwise please close this restaurant who you claim is no.1 vegetarian restaurant of this town. This has all the potential to be a No.1 joke of a restaurant and nothing else. Afterall this i expect a good decent food and what i got. A diarrhoea and 2 of my friends got ill and we literally have to throw away all of our food. Packaged ganthiya's are better than this and lets not talk about their staff. Greatest service that i ever got from a restaurant. Overall they are inconsiderate towards others time so Please go to ganthiya house for snacks and for food thakar, muruguan or any other restaurant is better than them with food and service. We took 25-26 pieces RASMALAI nearly full container, which was same like chewgum or plastic and next day malai taste was different than yesterday. We already served to everyone, however few pieces were left and I want bring back to shop for taste, but my son today after school took piece from freze than taste was different and his mum through into bin. I just reviewing for feedback to Restaurant, not for free food or etc, I tried to call Restaurant number few time but it's not connected and tried another mobile number also not connected than finally I need to be reviewed here. However, Many time we visited this restaurant, always good food but i was not expecting for this dessert.

Excellent Service & Authentic South Indian Flavours! I had a wonderful experience here! The service was warm, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. The staff made sure everything was perfect and served with a smile. The food was absolutely delicious — especially the South Indian dishes! Each item was full of authentic flavour and freshly prepared. The dosa and sambar were perfectly seasoned, and the chutneys tasted just like home. A perfect place for anyone craving real South Indian food with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A truly beautiful dining experience ! Very friendly staff and so very flexible with the orders. They were more than happy to provide extra green chillies on the side and vary some dish sizes to suit our group. Very generous serving sizes and a very welcoming and professional chef who even came out to introduce himself and interact with us personally and make sure everything was to everyone’s satisfaction. I ordered Parota, Rava Dhosai and Thali, but after I ordered, I saw what the other customers ordered. The goreng goreng and vadai looked awesome. I’ll gonna try that next time. Maybe I will go back for the Bru Coffee.

I had Kothu parota which is amazing and also had chicken fried rice. In chicken fried rice I feel chicken bit soggy rest everything very good .. I suggest this is good spot for snack and break fast also fast food ..

There is no other place in the whole adelaide we rather have dosa apart from Madras Kitchen. We love the pizza dosa and Mix 65. They taste so good and the quantity is generous. The price is also reasonable. I personally know the owner, he is amazing and treats his staff members very well. Keep it up. Highly recommended

We had a terrible worst dinner over there; we ordered kothu parotta, malabar chicken, channa masala, and parotta. Food was microwaved because it is hot only outside and not inside. worst in taste as well. As it was a Tuesday, there were not many orders for them, so the food was reheated. I wasted my money, couldn’t eat them, and didn’t even think about leftovers for the parcel. Don't try Kothu Parotta; there are many restaurants doing well. Maybe the name difference is Kothu Roti. I never review something badly unless it is really, really bad. This is one of the bad experiences.

We felt like having some having some takeaway Indian food one night and I remembered this place. I had recently seen a Facebook advertisement. They asked for 30 minutes to have the food prepared and it was ready on time. The photos / decor in the restaurant was pretty interesting. We got the non vegetarian thali. There were two chicken curries, raitha, rice, a roti and a gulab jamun in each pack. I thought the food was okay but my Mrs really enjoyed it and kept raving a out how tasty it was. Looks like we will be back soon for more 😊

i came to eat dosa couple of times but never gave a good review but today i want to say best dosa in adelaide people are so good staff so good i ask extra sabar and two chutneys yesterday and they did not charge extra money for that and happily serve extra stuff i will recommended this place to everyone thanks

Very Disappointed. The name should be The illogical Indian. We went to this restaurant today based on high ratings of Google reviews but were disappointed in many ways. While we enjoyed chicken 65 & prawns dish, the following details ruined the dining experience. 1) 20 minutes after ordering Chicken malai starter dish we were told it was no longer available & they charged us for it in billing despite dish not being served. We called back & complained which they agreed to refund. This is display of poor practices & has caused inconvenience. 2) Garlic Naan plate had big raw potato piece sitting below naan. 3) Didn't like constant pushy upselling behavior during each interaction of ordering food. 4)Separately ordered Raita which was served after having to remind them & was very salty. We couldn't eat it. Just returned back. This restaurant needs to be more logical in customer service to be true to their name. New resply on restaurant owners comments... Hi Mervin, I think, it's more important for you to look into customers experience at your restaurant than you suggesting them to find best restaurant of expectations. It's not ok to tell customers after 20 minutes that ordered dish couldn't be served by just telling them it's simply not available. It's a huge inconvenience to family who just got told that they won't be getting food at the time it should have been served. You should have told the real reason instead of telling simply it's not available. It's only during complaining at billing counter your staff revealed that chef refused to serve because dish was ruined while cooking. How you would feel if you was treated like this with your family. On top you didn't care to make sure that customer not being charged for food you didn't serve, while we reminded you what happened exactly at the time of billing. The Raita dish was so salty which we couldn't eat & no one cared to bring it until we reminded after long delay. A big chunky piece of raw potato served in naan dish is definitely low standard even for underrated restaurants. Also, personally we didn't like the pushy upselling over normal limit, but it can be different to every individual customers. You can't just behave like this to be best Indian restaurant in SA. Infact, the best qualities & practices are expected from your restaurant. I sincerely expect that, rather than advising customers to find better restaurants you should accept, introspect & improve these errors, mistakes & improper practices so that The Logical Indian restaurant becomes really Logical & keep serving fine dining experience to customers. Yes, raw chicken on the plate at a restaurant that’s just been awarded “Best Indian Restaurant.” Shocking? It gets worse. When I politely raised the issue, the floor manager responded not with concern, but with rudeness and repeated dismissals. Three times I was asked, “What’s wrong with it?” – not in an apologetic or helpful way, but with a tone that made it clear customer feedback wasn’t welcome here. To break it down: Food: Completely unacceptable. Serving raw chicken is a serious food safety risk, not just a quality issue. Service: Waitstaff had minimal knowledge about the menu, especially drinks. Basic questions couldn’t be answered. Waiting Time: Extremely slow service with no sense of urgency or professionalism. Attitude: Staff seem to wear the "Best Indian Restaurant" tag as a badge of arrogance, not responsibility. Feedback Handling: Zero accountability, zero willingness to listen. You’d think we were inconveniencing them by pointing out the problem. Frankly, I’m appalled. This was a bad meal. And the dismissive, arrogant handling of the situation made it even worse. Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Logical Indian on Hutt Street! Had an amazing dining experience here — every dish was full of authentic flavour and beautifully presented. The Chicken 65 was perfectly spiced and crispy, Kovai Mushroom was a standout vegetarian option bursting with flavour, and the Chettinad Chicken was rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. I visited Logical India- Hutt Street Restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it was an amazing experience! The staff were very welcoming and friendly — they even gave some great recommendations before we ordered. I tried a few new dishes from the mains, and every single one was delicious. The Best North Indian serving restaurant in the Adelaide. Loved the food! Soup was delicious. Paneer Bhurji, Paneer Tawa Masala, were all super tasty and fresh. The naan was soft and went well with everything. Service was friendly, excellent, and quick. Atmosphere was amazing and loved the music.

LOVE IT! I went one day to try some sandwich's with my family after a long week, and it felt like heaven. They did mess up my brothers chips order, but made a new batch for free, no charge! A true restaurant! The workers clearly are trained well, and are kind hearted people in general. And the sandwich was also yum! Would recommend!

This is not an Indian restaurant! It is a work of art. We came from the Sunshine Coast qld and found this restaurant near our hotel. The food is very delicious with many things on the menu that are new and fresh. The service is genuine and lovely. I loved the music and even the way the tables were made up was great. Make sure you order dessert! The owner is the chef and the dessert we shared between four was made with real rose petals. I loved the black salt lassie even though my daughters said it smelt like farts 😂😂 I wish we lived closer so I could try everything on the menu

We really enjoyed our dinner at Laxmi’s. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and helped with several suggestions. Menu is extensive. Delicious, flavoursome food. Variety of choices, including surprisingly wide range of desserts. We have every intention of going back. A large venue, it will be great to soak up the experience/atmosphere when we dine next time, for the Sunday buffet!

Food was delicious and the flavour from the chicken malabar took me straight back to India. The chicken tikka was also great and the garlic naan paired perfectly with the creamy flavour from the chicken tikka masala. Overall, it was some excellent food along with great service and I recommend it if you're in the area.

Beautiful modern traditional atmosphere in decor and music. Rare to find fine dining cloth tablecloths and napkins with affordable prices. Food is amazingly flavourful and generous. Service from owner is 6 out of 5 stars. Definitely recommend the all you can eat buffet on Sundays, very family friendly.

We had a lovely evening at Laxmi's. The food was delicious and the menu had a broad range of options. We shared multiple dishes with our group and all were excellent. There are also lots of gluten/dairy free menu choices - significantly more than we have seen at other Indian restaurants, which was awesome. The service was professional and staff very helpful. Sunday night buffet dinner here at Laxmi’s was a great experience! The restaurant is clean and well presented, and the food is incredible! I really liked the opportunity to try a range of dishes (and dishes I would not normally order). After hearing that there is a variety of food on rotation, I’ll definitely be back to give another set of options from the buffet a try!

Excellent authentic Indian restaurant. The service was impeccable. The owner was both very attentive and friendly. We had the entree tasting plate which I would recommend. The curries were delicious, nice complex flavours but still remaining authentic. Decent portion sizes and reasonably priced. Could not fault the whole dining experience!

We’ve been visiting this place since 2022 and were always very satisfied. We used to come 3–4 times a month. Back then, the food was genuinely tasty and worth the money. Unfortunately, recently the taste has gone drastically DOWN, even though the prices keep going up. I bought chicken rice and curry two weeks ago, and an chicken kottu, and an "Idi Appa" Kottu today. I am extremely disappointed. I am still searching for the chicken in the Kottu. 😀 I also noticed the customer service has dropped. Some days the people at the counter act like they are giving food for free, not like we’re paying customers. If you’re still concerned about your reputation, it might be worth having a serious second thought about your food quality and bringing back the standards you used to have.

Had the roti roll and was full of flavour and spice. Cant comment on any of the other dishes as I have not tried them but this one was nice, especialy as a quick and tasty take away snack.

Small shop but always delicious, with generous serves. There’s an electronic menu screen, but no prices displayed. We find $20.00 gives us three good meals , we just point to the Bain Marie. There’s a 8 seat dining room next door if you want to eat in. They use paper takeaway containers, but you may need to ask for that, as they still use some plastic boxes. Picture shows eat in annexe

WEDDING BUFFET Anthony caters did an amazing job for the biggest day of our life. Our Wedding. The buffet setting and decorations were so beautiful and well thought out, the staff members were all so lovely and made the whole process simple and stress free. The most common thing we heard from our guests was “that was the best food we have ever eaten at a wedding” Everything from the entree canapés, to the main buffet, to the Dessert bar was delicious and looked amazing. I'm currently visiting my Son in Adelaide, and being Sri Lankan he took me to have hoppers last night to Cafe Anthony. Unfortunately, the quality of the hoppers and small portion of the chiken curry was of very poor quality and standard. Sadly the food just doesn’t taste as fresh or flavorful like some others have mentioned. The hoppers were made even long before we arrived and was hard and not fresh and crispy as it should be. The food given to us was cold and not hot. Their wattalapam didn't taste anything like to traiditional Sri Lankan one. In my opinion it's a bad show of displaying the traditional Sri Lankan food to the people of Adelaide. It give me the feeling this place is run more like a home kitchen than a proper take away resturant. A few days ago we visited this place and and got some take away food like rolls, buns, kimbula buns, toast paan etc.. and the quality of the food was good, hence the decesion to try out their hoppes.

We used to love this place and have recommended it to many friends in the past, but unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill recently. The portion sizes have become noticeably smaller, and the food just doesn’t taste as fresh or flavorful as it used to. It’s really disappointing because this used to be a go-to spot for delicious, homestyle Srilankan food. Now it feels like the focus has shifted.

Awesome authentic food at a good price. It was a little noisy as fully booked and perhaps took a little while to serve 6 people (when fully booked) but worth the wait. Great experience.

Stepping in here is like being instantly transported to a typical restaurant in India. Heard the national cricket teams of India and Pakistan drop in here everytime they visit Adelaide so decided to try it. Very impressed with the food. The flavours are quite an original take on what familiar items we've eaten in Singapore and Britain, but in no way inferior. Strongly recommend the Tandoori chicken (aka BBQ chicken) for it's flavour and beautifully moist meat Sag paneer is similar to Palak Paneer that my family likes, but on the sweeter side of the spectrum. Great food, good ambience. Service seems a bit overwhelmed

I have been devoted to another Indian restaurant for the last 10 years, while I try others regularly I never had a restaurant that was close to as good as my regular. This restaurant is not local to me. It was even better than my regular. The food is incredible. The service was fantastic. Now my favourite. The garlic naan was beautifully crisp o the bottom with a nice soft top. Butter chicken was rich in flavour and just the best ever. Mango chicken was also top notch. The atmosphere of the restaurant just adds further to the incredible dining experience. Will definitely be back even though it’s a 45 min drive. Thank you to the incredible staff last night (21/04/23) you are all wonderful. Fantastic. Amazing. Delicious.

This place is quiet strange. You enter and there is alot of cricket 🏏 stuff which is fine but it's all over the place which I understand as an Indian culture you are proud but it was just too much and overwhelming I ordered entree and wanted to eat my entree with my main food. Some reason they don't provide your main until entree is finished. Never had that experience before. Lastly the food, I ordered the chef special of goat and lamb and it tasted exactly the same but one had chilli in it (the dish wasn't chilli) the meat was soft and tender but the same sauce? In the restaurant was all non Indians eating which made it clear that its not traditional food. The food was okay.. maybe a 6 but I wouldn't go back for a restaurant experience. They do large amounts which is nice. The staff was lovely.

Food was excellent but I had to wait an hour and a half to pick up my food. When I placed my order the app said the food would be ready in 55 minutes, which was fine, but then it didn’t update and I ended up having to wait more than half an hour more inside the restaurant. Wait staff didn’t seem phased by this at all.

Delicious and clean Indian food. Very good serving size as well. The night we went, they were very busy and understaffed, and even though food took a while to come out and a mistake was made, they rectified it without even asking. So happy with them.

The food was that terrible we gave it the dog and even they put their nose up. Don’t care about the money wasted. I care about the fact I was hungry and couldn’t even bear to eat this. Biryani is too bad and too oily to get cancer easily... we asked for 2 extra onion slices and he charged 5 dollars exta by bringing whole salad... indian masala without masala,only oil...

Pathetic experience ever Last night I ordered dinner from indian masala and we found a insects in it. Food hygiene is utmost importance for us. These photos clearly shows the bad kitchen hygiene level of the restaurant. I haven't written any review before for any restaurant but his incident drag me here to do this. This review is just to aware the rest of the customers. Try to work on your tidiness!

Bad service 1 piece of Chicken in the chicken curry. And 3- 4 pieces of prawns in an entree with 9 onions ( have a look the onions amount in the pick) Such greedy restaurant, who is trying to save money by cheap strategies. Taste was decent but would never come back here

What a worst customer service ever I have seen in my life. Worst parataha i have ever had in my life. Doesn't look like a paratha from any angle. Made us to wait more than an hour but didn't bring our order and didn't apologise in their mistake instead they are telling to eat this worst paratha without any curry.

Ordered a dal tadka and received a watery, oily mess. More soup than lentils - not remotely spicy. Terrible for a restaurant claiming to offer authentic cuisine. Can clearly see in this photo the congealed oil collected against side of box.

I very seldomly get takeaway, it’s a pretty big treat for myself and partner. We make a deal out of it and get excited for it. So, for us, to continually go back to the same place is saying something. Samrat couple treat is not only affordable, but so delicious. We love the people who work there, the chef is always happy and says hello, the food is fantastic, in particular the samosas are probably the best I’ve had. Can’t go past it. It's a very cute reastaurant, with a friendly service expearence and really affordable dishes. The lady was very helpful with my question. And the dishes we had today was all amazing. With all of that many spicies, all the flavor were fusion together. Really like the free crispy chip thing！hahaha.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience! The food was phenomenal — I ordered the dosa and beef ulathiyath, Kerala goat curry, chicken korma, and chicken masala. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to our host, Aastha — she was genuinely amazing. Her warmth, attentiveness, and charm made the whole evening unforgettable. 😊 Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Had Dosa and chicken tikka Masala and both were very good . We were serviced by Rona. She is very pleasant and her service was great .

Nice Cosy place and not crowded at all. I guess maybe it was a weekday evening. But food is really of good pricing and the taste is wonderful. Reminded me of Singapore when I ordered the chicken Murtabak. Will go back soon to have more yummy food. Would love to try the lunch menu which is around the $10 mark. Too Good!

Serves more Malaysian food than Indian going by the menu. Visited on a week day and the kitchen seemed busy working on take away orders. Not a lot of dine in customers. Service was simple and efficient food was tasty. We tried the Indo chinese chicken 65, wasnt very impressive but the noodles were flavourful and good portion size. Will return to try other items.

Very good little local southern indian food store. It is recommended by a local taxi driver! It looks not very busy in the early hours as most people come to get take away. Different to the nothern indian style. Curries are lighter but full of different spices. Love the thin crispy dosa, so yum. Definitely will back here again. It will be the great choice if you want get take away too.

We’ve been to Vikas Kitchen numerous times and have always come away very satisfied with their authentic cuisine. The chef does a fantastic job keeping the recipes original and the servings are filling. We love their dosa’s and the chicken biriyani is phenomenal. If you’re looking for a place that is as authentic as it gets, Vikas Kitchen is a good bet.

Ignore the plain decor, the food is where it's at! We tried the Chicken Chettinad, the Beef Kerala, the Chettinad Cauliflower Masala and the egg Roti Chanai. Serves were decent and the dishes were packed with flavour. A steady stream of takeaways and some dine-ins on a Thursday night tells you how good this place is.

Hey I stay quiet close and we dropped in at very close to 10pm. But the people were not annoyed at all or rushing when we were slow to choose our menu. Today I have tried their masala dosa (very genuine south indian taste) and the Nasi goreng (both the amount and quality of the food was very good). Thank you for your service. WIsh to be a regular customer now.

Ordered chicken satay good, but pretty standard. Also ordered curry chicken, really nice, good authentic flavour nice use of spices. Definitely worth a visit or UberEATS.
