Pastry shop

MEERT, located in Roubaix, France, has a rich history dating back to 1849. The famous waffles from Meert have a long tradition and were even supplied to the royal family in nearby Belgium for a while. The shop on Rue Esquermoise not only offers delicious waffles but also houses a historic tearoom and a restaurant. Visitors can enjoy the delightful experience of tasting these renowned delicacies with a fascinating historical background.
We had to queue for about 20 minutes, but it is a lovely tea room and all the cakes looked amazing! I opted for hot chocolate & their famous filled waffles which were really good! I went back the next day and got some to take home! The vanilla one reminded me of a custard cream biscuit! I do wish I tried one of their cakes too!

Great place for photography. Ok stroopwaffles, nice location Méert Lille is pure old-world elegance — a place where history, craftsmanship, and indulgence come together beautifully. Stepping inside feels like entering a living postcard from another era, with its ornate interiors, charming service, and irresistible aroma of freshly baked treats. The signature gaufres (waffles) are ok… The pâtisseries and chocolates are equally ok…, each one crafted with remarkable finesse and balance. Pair them with a perfectly brewed coffee or tea, and it’s an experience that lingers long after you leave. Whether you’re here for a quiet afternoon indulgence or to pick up a beautiful gift box, Méert captures the timeless art of French sweetness. An iconic Lille institution — elegant, delicious, and unforgettable.
Rodney L — Google review
Very wonderful bakery shop / cafe like a creation of art. The displayed pastries were so perfectly arranged and looked delicious. The chandeliers, glass work enhanced the look of the boutique further. The open air garden cafe very nice , staff kind and polite , helpful. In the shop the goods are well displayed with price tags so easy to identify. The display shelves are so pretty and the colour combination very unique. Overall this is more like a pretty waffle or bakery museum and I loved my time here. I enjoyed vanilla waffle . Wanted to sit down in garden cafe so had also queued for the waiting line but it rained heavily suddenly so left in the middle and this time happy only with the wonderful waffle, will return next week or soon for a coffee and pastry .
Mamata B — Google review
Magnificent. If you’re visiting Lille and would like some exquisite pastries and sweets, then consider visiting Meert. It is much better than some of the other/more expensive tourist traps. It’s situated in a beautiful building, which has been decorated beautifully.
Dan — Google review
A true jewel in the heart of Lille! Meert is as much about the atmosphere as it is about the sweets. The interiors are simply breathtaking—opulent chandeliers, historic wooden decor, classical sculptures, and ornate ceilings that transport you to another era. Whether you’re seated inside the regal tea salon or strolling through their boutique, the ambiance is a visual feast. I tried the coffee and their signature vanilla and raspberry-filled waffles—a delightful treat that lives up to its reputation. The coffee was beautifully presented and smooth, and the raspberry waffle had just the right balance of tart and sweet. Perfect for a special outing or if you’re looking to indulge in a bit of old-world French charm. A must-visit if you’re in Lille.✨
Harshini K — Google review
How can this be anything but 5*? The pastries, the service, the setting, the shop, the history, everything is impeccable and the price point is reasonable. I think Meert may be a victim of its own reputation, as it is busy and people clearly expect perfection, but in our experience it lived up to it, and of all our culinary experiences in Lille this will be the one I remember forever.
Geoffrey B — Google review
The mille-feuille was absolutely delicious, and the éclair was good, but I didn’t really like the dark chocolate. I really enjoyed the waffle because it was unique and different from the usual. The atmosphere of the place was wonderful, and the best part was the excellent service. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it in time for lunch.
Mohammad S — Google review
The food here was decent – both the main course and dessert were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. What really took away from the experience, though, was the attitude of one of the staff members, who came across as quite arrogant. I was hoping for a warmer, more inviting atmosphere, but everything felt a bit cold and flat. For the price point, I expected better service and a more enjoyable overall experience.

Hill Bar is a delightful pastry shop that offers a unique twist on American treats with a French touch. Their cookies and pastries are a fusion of American flavors with French influences, creating an exquisite blend of tastes. The store boasts an array of delectable options including cookies, pastries, spreads, ice creams, orangettes, and more. Visitors praise the quality of their treats and appreciate the manager's helpful and pleasant demeanor.
Best cookie I've had in my life. And I've had many cookies before. Buttery, chocolatey, crumbly yet soft - just perfect. And the addition of sea salt is pure magic. I truly loved it.

The BEST chocolate chip and pistachio cookies. I’m a cookie snob and these are amazing: crumbly, gooey and incredibly flavourful.

Oh, these desserts are heavenly and mind-blowing — I come here every time I’m in Lille. Get the dark chocolate one (70%), you won’t regret!

What a great discovery! I did not get to try the bean to bar chocolates, but was instead drawn by the pastry display. I bought three: treviso, bronte and the lemon basil tart. All of them were great: well balanced flavours, intricately made and well built. Really worth checking out!

Le Pain Quotidien is a charming cafe located in one of Lille's beautiful city squares. They offer a menu with items prepared in-house, including breads, preserves, and desserts. The cafe emphasizes organic fruits and vegetables as well as locally sourced products. While it may seem like a bakery, Le Pain Quotidien also serves excellent breakfast options and opens early in the morning to accommodate guests. Visitors can expect friendly service and delicious food, such as the highly recommended mini pancakes.
We loved our breakfast here. We were looking for something healthy, with vegan options and hit gold with this spot. The coffee was also nice - came in very large mugs but that was appreciated! It felt like a calm way to start the day and overall a great experience.
Rosanne K — Google review
I visited Le Pain Quotidien recently, the café has a lovely, cozy atmosphere with warm lighting and comfortable seating — a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff were kind and attentive, and the service was quick and friendly, which definitely added to the positive vibe. That said, the food itself was visually appealing but quite average in taste. I tried the pancakes with yogurt and berry sauce, French toast with fresh fruit, and a simple breakfast plate with egg, bread, and butter — everything looked great on the plate, but flavor-wise, nothing stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming, especially considering the price point. The coffee and strawberry shake were decent, but again, nothing particularly memorable. If you’re going mainly for ambiance and a relaxed setting, it’s a nice spot. But if you’re looking for a food experience that’s flavorful or unique, you might find it a bit underwhelming. Overall, a pleasant place for a casual brunch, but more for the vibe and service than the food itself.
Harshini K — Google review
Le Pain Quotidien is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. My first experience was in Manhattan, so naturally I look for one every time I am in a new city. Luckily, Lille accommodated - perfect little spot and relaxed, slow service - exactly what you’d expect on vacation. For travelers learning French, the staff were very kind as I tried to order in French and felt comfortable asking for help with words I didn’t know.
Krystal G — Google review
I usually just pass through Lille on my travels, but this time we spent the night—and I’m so glad we did. In the morning, I was really craving that cozy, classic French “croissant and coffee” moment. I started walking through the city centre and stumbled upon this charming little spot. The pastries in the window looked so beautiful, I couldn’t help but walk in. I'm Polish, I don’t speak French (though I’ve tried—unsuccessfully!), but I was greeted by Frida, who spoke the most lovely English. She was incredibly kind and patient, and her warmth instantly put me at ease. It truly meant so much. I had a lot of anxiety about visiting France, but places like this made me feel genuinely welcome and safe—like I belonged. Frida gently let me know there was a small extra charge to sit in and made sure I was comfortable with that, which I really appreciated. I said yes and ordered an oat milk latte and a hibiscus croissant. She even gave me a little milk chocolate on the side. Everything was absolutely delicious—made with care, and you could feel it. Thank you again for such a warm welcome. Your kindness touched my heart and will stay with me for a long, long time.
RawJola — Google review
We chose this place because it has clearly labelled vegan items on the menu. We were hoping for croissants but they were all out (we visited around 3:30pm). I ordered soup of the day and despite constantly checking with the staff that everything ordered was vegan, soup was served with dairy butter on the side, which was not reassuring. Furthermore, I expected the soup to be served with fresh sourdough bread and/or baguette, as the menu indicates. Instead, it came with a large handful of ‘homemade croutons’ which were unseasoned dry bread and tasted very stale. The serving staff were very friendly and patient but we were disappointed by the unclean tables and menu cards.
Mateja P — Google review
I ordered a salmon and tuna salad to take away. It was €15. It literally had €3 worth of ingredients (more like a cold side salad), and I waited for over 10 minutes. Very very disappointed. I won’t be coming back. The lady who served me was nice though.
Natasha W — Google review
It's very quiet today but the service is really bad. Was seated at a messy table. My friend is vegan and the server didn't know if any of the soups were vegan or not. I order the miso salmon and the bowl came without the salmon. And the toilets are very dirty and one of the doors don't lock properly. With the price your paying for mediocre food I feel you have at least good service.
Suleman — Google review
Food was a disaster; eggs from powder, dry and COLD. Even though the butter was mentioned as a part of a breakfast set, I needed to ask for bringing it. The bread was dry and in the set they are not giving even the smallest leaf of salad. The avocado in the set of my friend was mostly unripe hence half of it uneatable. When I complained about the eggs, the writer seemed a bit irritated with me. I ate here 2 years before and was much better, now I will be eating next door where prices are the same, but food much better quality.

At Gelato & Coffee Artisan Glacier, you can indulge in authentic and creamy gelato served by genuine Italians. The range of flavors available is simply incredible, ranging from traditional favorites like hazelnut and vanilla-pecan-caramel to fresh fruit sorbets and bolder creations like black straciatella and black sesame. It's important to note that all their offerings are free from preservatives, artificial flavors, and 100% handmade.
My favourite place in Lille for a sweet treat, as it has authentic Italian ice cream and amazing waffles with pistachio cream on top and chocolate with real hazelnut flavour! Coffee is also very good here! Highly recommended!
Eleni K — Google review
I have been here multiple times over the years and it never fails to impress me. The gelato is full flavoured and just rich and tasty with each bite. The sorbets are again fresh and delicious. Can't go wrong and if you are curious you can get a sample. Also the waffles are so yummy. I couldn't help, but be tempted by the smell of a fresh waffle and yes they are awesome, don't tell your doctor as with added gelato and a sauce one would eat it and not have a worry in the world. Well year on year I haven't been disappointed by them. Also I went over the sunny weekend and there was a queue for a good reason. I would advise you to go back and try as many flavours you have to try them out.
Jules A — Google review
This ice cream shop offers more than 20 flavours, which explains the long queues you’ll often see here on weekends. The variety is impressive, with something for everyone. I tried the Pham Choco flavour, made with 70% cocoa, and it was amazing — rich, deep, and perfectly balanced without being too sweet. You can really taste the quality of the chocolate.
H M — Google review
Nice staff and sweet treats! The hot chocolate was yummy and hot. They have seating inside and out. I got the hot chocolate which was a very thick consistency and sweet. I enjoyed my hot chocolate but I would recommend sharing it with someone as it is very rich.
Savannah — Google review
Very good artisanal gelato, probably the best in town. The olny downside is the limited seating. Would recommend.
Olympia I — Google review
Best gelato! Don’t miss out, you won’t regret!
Alyssa M — Google review
Very cute looking ice cream place in a cosy street. The price of the ice cream was expensive, paid over 8 euros for 3 scoops in total so my expectations were high. I was disappointed, as I have had so much better ice cream in my life. For this price, it is definitely not worth it. There are a few tables to sit, but are most of the time full.

French restaurant
Restaurant Suzanne is a hidden gem with a modest decor but exceptional cuisine. The menu, starting at 24 euros, offers innovative dishes such as egg yolk prepared like poutargue and veal tartare with smoked eel. The restaurant is the result of the love story between former chef Lucas Tricot and aspiring pastry chef Elisa Rodriguez, who create delicate dishes focusing on vegetables, flowers, and herbs. The presentation of their creations matches the light and gentle flavors they offer.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt I needed to after the fabulous experience we had at Suzanne. The food was remarkable - the chef clearly had a passion for carefully choosing the best seasonal produce. He took time to explain the dishes to us, how they were made and where he had sourced the ingredients. We had come for a special occasion and the restaurant really went out of their way to make it extra special for us, which was lovely. The food was standout, with none of the pretentiousness you can sometimes find in other restaurants serving this calibre of food. Excellent service with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
Kitty B — Google review
Good ingredients well prepared speak for themselves, and I would certainly award 4.5 stars if I could, but, whilst the adage proved true, there was something missing in how the parts came together to surprise and delight. We came for lunch and I appreciated the excellent service and the healthy ingredients. All three courses contained barbequed vegetables, the beetroot starter was excellent, as was the low temperature cod, although the chared corn and white chocolate dessert, whilst novel, was not something I will soon find myself craving, and the barbequed carrot with the cod was fine, but to be honest I think well roasted vegetables are more delicious, and cod prepared with a bit of a golden crust in the pan also has a greater variety of texture. All in all a great lunch in a lovely city, just not perhaps a five star experience.
Geoffrey B — Google review
We selected this restaurant for our 1st year wedding anniversary. As soon as we came in, we were offered a very warm welcome and given s choice of 2 tables. One was by the wall, the other by the window. My wife chose to stay by the window and the staff were more than happy to cover the entrance with a curtain so there wouldn't be any draft or cold coming from the door. Next they offered to take our coats and put them away. Once we sat down, we were debating whether to go for the full 8 dish tasting menu or the smaller 6-piece one. As it was a special occasion, we went for the larger one. Even though we had some dietary requirements that we didn't communicate beforehand, the host was more than happy to accommodate them. The food served was delicious and the texture and ingredients combination were fascinating. As my wife had specified in the booking that we were celebrating a special event, the staff surprised us with an extra dessert, a celebration candle for each plate and a lovely note on behalf of the establishment. We really appreciated this surprise. For each and every course, the hosts gave us a detailed breakdown of the ingredients. Overall it was a very nice and thoughtful gastronomical experience and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special dinner.
Virgil S — Google review
We went for lunch, and had the 3-course menu. Very good food for a very reasonable price, and nice selection of small wine producers as well as some nice local beers on draft. Good and welcoming service!
Christoffer S — Google review
We were truly blown away by the exceptional quality of the food, the friendliness of the service and the incredible value for money. This is a Michelin Guide recognised restaurant providing a fabulous 2-course lunch with an amuse-bouche and Petit four for just €29 per person! The wine is excellent and very reasonably priced and the ambience is very relaxed. The Pollack, cauliflower and citrus main course was a sublime dish of flavours and textures with an incredibly ingenious vegetable “caviar” while the Strawberry, pepper and white chocolate dessert was a flavour sensation - I’m not usually a dessert lover but the combination of strawberry and pepper swayed me and it was a delightful and creative bowl.
Adam — Google review
Michelin-level experience. The waiters are super kind and each dish had that balanced unforgettable umami taste. Worth repeating!
A.N. — Google review
Absolutely spectacular dining experience. The food was creative, delicious, and beautifully executed. Every flavor and texture felt thoughtfully crafted. The chef personally brought out several of our courses and explained each dish in detail - he was incredible. His passion and warmth made the whole evening feel special and unforgettable. The staff were also very friendly, attentive, and spoke perfect English. This place truly deserves a Michelin Star. I’m already planning to come back soon.

The creperie La creperie grand place, located near Place de la Republique in Lille, France, allows owners to update their profile information and manage various features such as adding photos, responding to reviews, and more. It offers a charming atmosphere and is known for serving late dinners on weekends when other establishments may require reservations or be closed. Additionally, the creperie serves takeaway waffles on Sundays and has a diverse menu of savory pancakes at affordable prices.
Delicious crepes served fast. There is a wide choice of savoury and sweet plus some delicious cider. Tables are a bit cramped at bust times.

Visited for lunch and ate in the main square to enjoy the sunshine, and people watching! We ordered the lunch deal: a galette, crepe and drink. Service was fast and friendly throughout our meal. The galette was delicious and was a very generous portion, definitely more than expected for a lunch deal! Everything was prepared fresh and tasted delicious. Our crepes arrived in good time too and were equally delicious, although we were quite full afterwards! We would definitely eat here again, and enjoy it!

Absolutely fantastic creperie - lovely staff, great food. Managed to make space for us even on a very busy night (and served us drinks in the freezing cold while we waited!). ps - We got confused with the bill and failed to tip - I'm so sorry!! service was 10/10 and we will make it up when we can visit next!

We took a simple crêpe sucré with Nutella to share with a cappuccino and a tea. Friendly, fast and correct service but the quality of the crêpe or coffee was mediocre. The Tea is served in a single cup of hot water, not with a small kettle for refill. I appreciate that the toilet was clean, not easy on a busy Saturday afternoon. The place is not particularly cozy or anything, but is just fine. It's in a smaller street just next to La Grande Place, I enjoyed that it was a bit calmer.
Sam B — Google review
Lovely little place just off the Place de la République, luckily served dinner late on a Saturday when a lot of other places needed booking or weren't open! It was serving takeaway waffles on Sunday. We went back for dinner Sunday night as it was so tasty and good value - 13.90 euros for a goats cheese salad and slightly cheaper for a wide range of savoury pancakes. They do sweet pancakes for dessert. They also serve speciality ciders. The staff were attentive and service was quick. Looks like it's run by a husband and wife team.

Elizabeth's is a quaint tea salon located in the picturesque Old Lille neighborhood, known for its wide variety of Anglo-Saxon pastries and cookies. The cozy atmosphere adds to its charm. On Sundays, they offer a delightful English brunch with hot drinks, juices, cakes, muffins, brownies, cookies, scones and mini sandwiches. The cafe-patisserie also offers an array of sweet treats including cheesecake, carrot cake, muffins and apple pie.
I had their carrot cake and it was the best bite of food I have had in all of 2025. Truly made me set down my fork after one bite and incredulously savor each flavor and texture. I have a high bar for food and especially sweets. This far exceeded it. Bravo!

Nice bakery corner and delicious and exceptional tasty cake and sandwiches. However the price are too high. We went on sunday so we ordered the sundy lunch sandwich which cost 15.90€. The pistachio cake tastes delicious but expensive 4.50. Moreover u have to queue for more than 20 minutes because of lack in the staff.

A display coming straight out from your sweetest dreams, with the loveliest staff. I went with a friend for Brunch on a Sunday. Unfortunately, none of the proposed savoury mains were vegan-friendly nor publicly proposing an option on it. After asking about it, the staff has been very arranging and had their talented chef make me a special plate. It was delicious, very tasty and filling and loaded with protein. 🥰 I would love Love for more vegan-friendly options on their permanent card. For both sweet and savoury treats. There is so much potential. Will keep that last ⭐ for myself until then!

Elizabeth's tea room is the place where I hang out with myself the most. I love the place and there are many reasons for it. One, it is an english tea room, so I feel comfortable to speak English without any hesitation. Two, the tea menu is quite elaborate. I prefer my ginger and peach tea. Third, variety of tea cakes and pastries to select from. I have almost tried most of them and some of my favourites are carrot cake, layer cake, and banana cake. I also love their cheese cake and the short bread is definitely a must try with their hot chocolate. I am not a huge fan of their in house hot chocolate because they make it with powder and its not dark enough to my taste. Four, the seating arrangements are quite cosy. Makes you feel like home. And last but not least, if you are a fan of Charles Dickens, they have a good collection to just sit and read there although I always carry my book.

This cafe is really cozy and cute! It's tucked in a quieter side street but not far from main roads, so the location is really convenient, too. Their selection is massive, and you can tell that everything they sell is extremely fresh. The staff are also really friendly and will answer questions about their current selection. They also use seasonal ingredients! I got a mixed berry layer cake, and it was delicious and moist. It was also not too sweet at all, and the frosting was not over abundant. A perfect slice of cake! The iced latte was also really tasty, made with good coffee (which they also sell in-store!)

Amazing little place, we waited in line for 30 minutes (with an inpatient man🥲) but it was so worth it!😍 As a banana bread lover I tried so many so is hard to impress me but that was so amazingly tasty, not dry, not too sweet, perfect! It was so good that we ended up buying the rest of the banana bread slices🥰 The coffee is also amazing, very nice staff, I love the place so much!😍🥰

Nestled in the heart of Lille, France, Coffee Makers is a cozy café that offers an array of brunch dishes and delectable pastries alongside a selection of espresso, filter, and cold-brewed coffee. Frequented by locals and visitors alike, this compact cafe has garnered a reputation for serving some of the best coffee in the area. The owners, hailing from different parts of Europe, have successfully infused the ambiance with a taste of east London.
The staff were very nice. The croque madame was extremely delicious — the brioche was soft and crispy, and the saltiness of the ham combined with the sourness from the pickles, the richness of the cheese, and the crispy fried egg was amazing. We also tried the blood orange cake, which was also amazing. Definitely worth visiting!

I love the atmosphere of this place! Dog friendly! But be prepared that it is not very healthy food, only for people who like pastries for breakfast. I had granola with fruits and honey. It was delicious, also liked the presentation.

We visited during the Braderie weekend from London, Coffee Makers was great as their reduced menu was still exciting. We decided to go for the cinnamon toast and ham, egg and cheese croissant. Both were tasty, but the cream that came with the cinnamon toast was subtle and tasty. The caramel latte was luscious too. It has a buzz and a lively atmosphere which is nice. The staff are friendly and helpful with their service.

It was my first visit to France, and we discovered this cafe online. It had excellent reviews and offered "gluten-free options," which was exactly what my friend needed. The coffee was amazing; we had lattes and an extra treat ;) The barista brought us a sample of a new blend they source from Costa Rica. I really enjoyed the atmosphere; the music was great, and so were the treats! The highlight of the experience was the service from the two baristas. They were friendly and kind, and helped me perfect my French. It was horrible, but okay. ;)

Coffee Makers is a must go to if you visit Lille. I’ve tried their latte caramel, tigrou, chocolat au fountain, and tarte crumble fruit, and I was blown away. The quality and the taste of the pastry was simply delicious. The coffee was fresh and complimented the deserts well. The ambience of the place gave a heartwarming feeling and the staff were friendly and helpful, definitely recommend giving it a try!

Waffle Street is a charming restaurant known for its delectable, crunchy waffles generously adorned with fresh, local ingredients. The dessert selection is to die for, particularly the caramelized apricots. The proprietor is incredibly friendly and greets guests with contagious positivity. This establishment offers delightful service and a lovely atmosphere. However, an area that could be improved upon is their responsiveness when it comes to answering phone calls.

(Translated by Google) We waited 20 minutes on the top floor and no one came to take our order. We therefore decide to go down to be sure of being served. When giving us our Waffles, we were told: "It's served in boxes because there are too many people". In other words they don't have enough dishes even though there are 10 people in the place maximum. Finally, the smile of the waitress is really optional 🙄... Regarding the Waffles, they are very good. (Original) Nous avons attendu 20mn au dernier étage et personne n'est venu prendre notre commande. Nous décidons donc de descendre pour être sûr d'être servis. Waffle Factory is a popular spot known for its delicious waffles. The savory waffles, such as the Waffburger and Norwegian, are particularly noteworthy and keep customers coming back for more. On the other hand, the sweet waffles receive mixed reviews. The service is quick and the staff are friendly, creating a pleasant dining experience. While it's primarily a take-away establishment, it's a must-visit for waffle enthusiasts looking to indulge in both savory and sweet flavors.
I've eaten there a few times now and I like it a lot. I'm the type of person who isn't interested in the bread part of sandwiches: the bread is only there to hold the insides together. These lunch waffles are 90% insides and 10% exterior waffle holding it all together. The service is quick, the waffles are piping hot (not so much by the time I get home, but that's a different story) and the staff have always been friendly. One lunch waffle costs 5.10€ and is reasonably filling, and because I'm not quite full, I have an excuse to eat dessert. The only negatives I see is the place itself which offers no space to sit down (anything you buy is necessarily to go / takeaway) and the price which is slightly higher than what I'm willing to pay on a daily basis.

My reservation was supposed to be for upstairs but we were seated downstairs. The food we ordered downstairs is good probably after 10 beers but not good after 2. Very rich & heavy. Unfortunately not good for a proper dinner. Also there was a lot of chaos and disorganisation amongst the staff, which we witnessed. We had not been well attended to by certain staff members so make sure that if you have an upstairs reservation, then definitely go upstairs yourself. Hopefully the food is better there too.
Anna A — Google review
We didn’t expect the portions to be soo big. We had a hard time trying to finish the food, and we couldn’t 🤣 The cheese sauce for the fries wasn’t a good choice, next time we will try another sauce. We came here because we wanted to try Welsh (right side), but it’s not for us. It was interesting to try but it was just too much and too beer-y. We’d love to come back and try other dishes from here 😊 The vibe here was also very nice.
Nhi D — Google review
Has a great vibe, people are friendly. But after I was decisive between beef burger or fried chicken burger, the emoloyee told me to get rhe beef burger, its great. Their beef fat fries are delicious, pizza is also pretty good with the cheese sauce and caramelised onions. Beef burger was horrible, the beef buns were dried out like stale bread, the beef patty was not cooked through, which is okay, but it was so dry the beef patty crumbled and starter breaking, cold and bland flavour. Beetroot ketchup was amazing, but could not save the burger. Toilets are also not very clean, with broken equipment. The staff are very friendly and inviting personalities. But their kitchen needs to move the food once it is ready. I often saw food ready to go, sitting underneath the heat lamp, essentially drying out the food.

It’s really about taste … I haven’t really appreciated my experience. The person I was with did liked everything except the dessert 🍮 that was dry from both our points of view. It’s an experience, a complete one. You like it or not- you don’t have any choices except for your choice of drinks (not on the menu) among what is proposed (beers, wines, water ) and choosing to taste a really delicious appetizer , (not on the menu) I have really experienced big chefs food’s. They are always unexpected and impossible to discuss the taste ! But for me, this experience wasn’t fine and yummy 🤤 It’s impossible to adjust to personal taste . It’s a choice of experience I didn’t appreciate. For 28€/pers you have a starter, a main plate ( 3 different plates ) and a dessert. That’s correct . The restaurant was full .
Rockia K — Google review
We ordered, waited there for a whole hour (not exaggerating) and when we asked when our food was coming they told us there was only one guy in the kitchen. A few other people were waiting really long too. 4 waiters outside and 1 guy in the kitchen???? We ended up leaving without having lunch because we had to travel back home. Really unpleasant experience 😞

Unbelievable beer, exceptional food and amazing philosophy. Went twice in 24 hours, would’ve gone far more times were I in Lille longer. Beer list is fabulous, with a nod to locally foraged herbs. Elderberry blonde was the standout, as was the tripel. On the food stakes, the Flemish cuisine shone through. Food was indulgent and sophisticated. Standout restaurant in Lille

Very nice place. simple and affable. this is a typical salad bar. you choose the basis and other ingredients, fill with sauces and "bon appetite". average salad - 6 €, large portion for 10 €. I liked it very much, because there were few people and it works even at lunch, unlike the snack bar called "Le Broc".

Great location just along from the main square, but nice and quiet so we didn't feel rushed. There's more space upstairs but we sat on bench seats on the ground floor and shared 2 plates of the most delicious, freshly made pancakes with apples and caramel sauce, and red berries and maple syrup respectively, plus 2 fresh orange juices. We saw this place while checking out the video mapping event in Lille last weekend. It was packed, very long queue so my sister and I decided to go back the following day. I hardly speak French but was able to get by ordering in French. The staff is wonderful and friendly. (Translated by Google) We had an incredible brunch! Very very hearty and inexpensive for impeccable quality in a Christmas atmosphere with a tree in the backyard. The service may take some time but the wait is worth it (Original) Nous avons mangé un brunch incroyable ! Très très copieux et pas cher pour une qualité irréprochable dans une ambiance de Noël avec un sapin dans l'arrière cour. Le service peut prendre du temps mais l'attente en vaut la peine
