Probably one of the bigger craft beer pubs in Lille, with 20+ draft beers. Mainly French craft breweries, with a very nice variety of styles. Styles are marked with clear icons. You can ask for a small taster to sample if you prefer a beer. Prices are very fair. Cosy atmosphere, nice seating area at the bar or windows.

I love this bar! We've been to Lille twice and wouldn't miss a visit. Excellent, friendly service and superb beers, which are varied and well priced. Beer lovers will love this fab bar, we will 100% be back next time we are in Lille!

A nice place where the hosts know about their beer. Almost 24 beers on tap, it's one of the best draft beer places you can find in Lille and highly recommended to visit if you are into beer. It's unfortunate that tasting plate is not available on weekends; other than that..it's a cool place to have some nice craft beer with good options.

A lovely day out! Varied display of painting and historical items. The staff were nice. Free bag storage! Very reasonable price. Small café and gift shop available. The beautiful open spaces didn't feel crowded. My only note is there wasn't a translation for everything, so I might suggest using the audio or practicing your french🙂.

This museum was such a nice experience. First of all it is included in your city pass even the temporary exhibit. It was not too crowded to you could take your time and ease to check the art out that is displayed in a very clean and concise way. The temporary exhibit was such a delight to learn about the flemish culture. Absolutely recommended for lille visitors.

This museum is an absolute delight and a must-visit for anyone in the area. From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was welcoming and the collection was impressive. As a first-time visitor, I can confidently say I'll be back. I had a wonderful experience during my visit, spending almost an hour exploring both the special exhibit and the rest of the museum. I was specifically keen on seeing "les Géants," and it certainly did not disappoint! The curation was phenomenal, and the scale and detail of the pieces truly lived up to the name. Importantly, the permanent exhibition also deserves high praise; the quality and depth I saw in the remaining time were fantastic. For first-time visitors, note that purchasing tickets at the museum itself is straightforward and easy. While my time was short, the hour spent exploring provided a fantastic, well-rounded first impression. Highly recommend making a trip to explore this gem!

Several great art pieces here. Some Picasso, Monet, and a Donatello carving that is quite incredible. My favorite part was this large collection of maps of French and Belgian cities in 3D miniature style that show the cities from a few centuries ago. My favorite statue was this skeleton holding a heart located at the top on one of the staircases. There was a cute cafe and gift shop.

An amazing place where modern touch of art meets the classical works of past masters. On three different floors you will see the region trough the different perspective to the modern era. Worth going and had a great time .

Amazing, peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of Lille centre. It is worth a visit just to see the relief maps, you couldn't carry one about on the back shelf of your carriage in case you got lost, they are huge! The Egyptians were a unique race of people, one sign said they bred cats just to slaughter them to put in a sarcophagus for the journey to the afterlife. A flint tool is the oldest thing on show, 300,000 years old! I was unsure about visiting the place but I am so glad I made the effort.

This is a very interesting and niche museum. The collection spans paintings, exquisite sculpture, antiquities and in the basement a vast collection of huge contour maps of local towns which are fascinating to study. Our visit was rather marred by the clueless staff including a pompous security guard who insisted that the phone was placed face down on a side tray whilst you walked through the scanner and clueless ticket sellers who sell you a ticket and then refuse to refund when you find you cannot access any of the galleries due to there being protests being held in them. Fortunately, we waited and the galleries eventually reopened.

Excellent place for book lovers, the decor of the square itself is so alazing , taking the book buying experience to a different level level. Several book stores in row selling books, posters , plates very amazing collection. The square also is very nice with metal structure in the middle making the place look cooler . Loved the idea of open air book shop . Have seen many antique shop but not exclusively book sale like this . Very unique experience not just for book lovers but for all .

The old stock exchange is one of the city’s major landmarks. You can browse books stalls and card vendors. The centre shows an art installation at the moment, a mirror sphere. The Flemish baroque architecture is bery charming. A place surely not to miss when visiting Lille. Enjoy!

Amazing architecture Mist visit place in lille You can see the complete lille from the top of the tower. 7euros ticket ,(in bulk it's 6) 150 steps to start , then you can choose steps to continue or take an elevator. On top open space space with cool breeze will mesmerize for sure. Even sovenior shop in the middle has a good collection. Never miss this place

I enjoyed my experience in la vieille bourse. It’s free for everyone to go in and it’s like a market for people to sell their old stuff like books and other gadgets and you can find so many old treasures there and prints to collect as souvenirs. It can get a little crowded there, but you can still tour the place without waiting outside as per my visit. It’s located right in the central Square of Lynn.

Stunning views of Lille. Very well organised, the bell tower only has capacity for 18 people at any one time so a wait is inevitable. The staff frequently address the queue updating with an approximate timeline. We were told one hour but it was closer to 30mins. On entrance at ground level you store your bags in a locker and climb a few flights of stairs where after paying in the small gift shop (just over 7€ with some concessions for under 18) you can climb the remaining flights or use the elevator (holds 4 people max) This was the worst experience for me - you can really appreciate how high this tower is when in a narrow lift shaft in a cage that keeps climbing upwards! Well worth it for the views and the information about the landmarks. We took the stairs down! We were in the tower all told about 90 minutes.

What an amazing place! You'd fall in love with the concept if you are a massive board game fan. We were left in awe by their collection of games and also the kindness of the staff. Must try if you visit Lille. Edit after 2 years: Came in again after 2 years but this time for longer time. Nothing much has changed in terms of vibes but the food is expensive and not qualitative. You can get a lot better food for the same price outside.

Friendly staff and good food. There’s a huge selection of board games, and it costs only 5€ per person. Also, no need to worry about the instructions, there’s people in charge of explaining the game rules to each table. It gets packed in the weekend so it’s recommendable to make a reservation on their website. On top of that, it would be nice to have some of the food from the brunch menu for dinner.

Amazing concept of board games and bars. We spent 4 hours playing many games. The sommeliers of games, advise you , and help you to choose amongst 2000 games!

Great place for Brunch, I had the pancake tower, which was plentiful and tasty, the peanut smoothie to go with it was unusual in a good way. The place itself is large and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get the chance to stay for a game or two, but will definitely be back!

Has the potential to be an amazing bar but unfortunately the service was far below average. We were told we weren’t allowed to play our own card games because they offer games to play - they wanted to charge us €5pp to play our own game… staff came across very rude and unfriendly. Disappointing as looked really good from reviews!

A nice option in this area full of bars and restaurants. The ambient is nice and the service is friendly so what's not to like. Not a great deal of options, but those available were quite good (beers, wines, etc). They also have some cured meats and cheeses to accompany your drink but we didn't have anything cos we were going to a restaurant straight from there.

One of the great example of new trend wave for a ever changing scene for craft beer pubs. The place has a great craft beer selection and staff is very welcoming in explain and guiding you through the varieties of styles and tastes. Atmosphere is relaxing but not much seats around. Prices are not that friendly, but you are paying for exclusivity of tasting craft beers from small unique breweries from around the world, which can be in a very limited editions.

A lovely craft beer bar with very cute interior design. The place is quite small and packed, but it's ok. The craft beer collections are nice, the sausages also looks interesting, although we didn't try it as I don't eat pork or dried sausage. Each table has different style, even there's a table with a "Singer" sewing machine on it, or maybe it's a sewing machine table that was turned to be a customer table... Hmmm... Either way, it's really a very interesting place to be. 😊

Helpful and friendly bar staff. Limited choice of local craft beers (about 6 or 7 on tap) but ones we had were excellent. Bar snacks/tapas were great. Goats cheese toast was superb. Cool atmosphere and shabby chic decor inside.

Really great place to try delicious beers! We turned up at opening time and it very quickly had a nice vibe. Lots of locals who were super friendly and the staff were really helpful too. Great views and great beers - can’t go wrong. Looks like in the evening it would be quite busy and a great place if you wanted a lively night out with good beer and nice people!

We've been wanting to try this place for a while. Very cool atmosphere and excellent service, especially for France. The food left us a bit short. It was good, not amazing (for the price). Good wine list.

Terrible service, overpriced mediocre food. We waited for our food for over 1h. We had ordered wine, they forgot and when we reminded them it took an extra 10-15’ to bring it. The food was mediocre and the truffled rissoto had no trouffles, but they still charged it like such. Dessert took another 30’ to arrive. Extremely overpriced for the appalling experience. Subsequently to this review the restaurant replied discrediting it. They get creative with their made up stories. Perhaps better invest the time in improving the service ;)

We had a very nice cocktail in the bar downstairs before having the 4 course menu with wine pairings. The food and wine were fantastic and paired perfectly. It's a very nice setting as well, and great to walk through the gallery beforehand. The service was also superb. We tried to speak French but it's not good enough to understand the dishes and wines and the waiter kindly asked if we'd prefer English. All the serving staff spoke good English and were very friendly. Recommended if you want a top quality meal in an interesting atmosphere.

Amazing! Amazing place, amazing food and amazing people! We loved it!

Came with friends on a weekend trip to Lille at the end of April and it was fabulous. We all went for the 4 course menu and every course was delicious, both for the meat eaters and vegetarians. Two o of us also had the wine pairing and had our horizons broadened. Combined with really friendly service, a lovely building and an art gallery and it was a memorable evening that made our weekend…. We are even considering whether we can have another weekend to Lille, just to come back to this restaurant!

Lovely food, great service and unique location/venue! We went for the smallest set meal because we just had an amazing apero prior, which i will share my review separately! The staffs were excellent and very helpful. Small advice, reserve in advance! The venue was, obviously, an old archive building for the city of Lille. Ground floor is a bar! Lovely bar!

I wouldn't recommend this place for people who feel uncomfortable around cigarettes. It's not a non-smoker friendly place, everyone has a cigarette in their hands. There is some lively music with some good food. 1€ is taken off your balance when you purchase a drink, but if/when you return the cup, you get the 1€ back. Outdoors and indoors seating.

The quality of the alcohol in the 'pre-prepared' cocktails is so low we were all sick with one glass. Please, have some respect for your costumers!

France, a country notorious among travelers for its challenging reputation, turned out to be far more charming than I expected. And for me, Lille had even more appeal than Paris. If I ever return to France, there’s no question I’ll be coming back to Lille.

Lille is a beautiful city. The buildings are so architecturally stunning. Plenty to see and do on our 3 days trip. Lots of restaurants and coffee, patisseries. Yummy. Our hotel Mercure grand place was extremely good value and breakfast fabulous. Will visit again when its maybe not so hot 🥵

Absolutely gorgeous! 🥰 Very lively during the day and mesmerising at night with all the beautiful illuminations. It reminded me of Brussels in a way. It’s definitely a must when in Lille. Plenty of restaurants and cafés in its surroundings.

Amazing and spacious square where you can admire several architectural beauties of lille. It can get crowded and there are beggars and homeless people around it, so watch out for your stuff, or help if possible.

Only had an hour in Lille before heading for the ferry at Calais so of course we headed straight for the Grand Place & the surrounding streets of the Vieux-Lille to look at the buildings & soak up some Lille vibes….& it was all positive apart from one thing - the stench of the sewers :/

The areas of the town squares are nice. There are many nice decorations around and some good stores where people can buy stuff. One thing I don't like is the fact that cars are allowed to operate within the pedestrian area, with no traffic lights and no signs. Really, man? Who's dumb idea was that? People who walk and cyclists can get hurt, especially children. This stupidity was abolished in 99% of the European cities I've visited, except for Lille. Seriously... Compared to Szeged, Charleroi, Novi Sad and Timișoara, which are superior cities, Lille sucks in that case. 👎 Those are a few examples. ☝️ I've visited many cities all across Europe and Asia. Naming all of them would take 100 days. I know Lille can become good. It really needs better laws and improvements. Other than that, I see good things too. The surroundings look nice. 👍

It was nice here. Very nice seating outside and service was good. My steak and fries was lovely and is highly recommended. However my mom ordered a medium rate steak and was served a very rare steak to the point where she did not eat most of it. Overall it was quite good as I enjoyed my food but it was unfortunate that my mom's dish wasn't as good as mine.

Delicious meat and beers are served with a smile. It's definitely a place worth visiting if you're a meat eater. I personally recommend ordering the L-bone stake or the truffle burger. Both are absolutely amazing.

Food was pretty good, but we waited 1h45 for it (got the starter around 15 minutes after our arrival then had to wait 1 hour for the main dishes). The fries weren’t amazing. Cool ambiance though, and the terrace is nice in the summer.

Staff were friendly and responsive. Price was fair. The atmosphere was casual and inclusive, making individuals ease to dine alone here. The fries were awesome, despite the taste of veau lacked a bit sophisticated touch. Overall, it was still good enough to give 5 stars.

Nice restaurant area with an industrial vibe. Staff very nice and spoke English. Menu is steak as to be expected with a few other dishes. Croquettes and Iberico ham to start and so much ham and good quality. We both had fillet steak 300gr (the only size fillet on offer) so if you like a large steak this is the place to come. It was very tasty came with fries and a choice of sauces I had mushroom which was very nice. Had a nice bottle of wine with meal but no dessert as too full. We come again if on Lille. Please note the address on Google maps is wrong it is the street on the other side of the building but there was a note on the door.

A great find! We had just watched Stage 1 of Tour de France and fancied a nice planche. Delicious mixed platter of cheese and charcuterie with pickles etc. We also chose a luscious Viognier to drink. Very good quality food, nice service, and good value for the quality and setting too. We would recommend 👌

They have a nice wine sélection from most french regions. We took the planche of the day at 25€ and dome extras a bottle of wine and the end we paid around 33/per person It's value for money comparing to other wine bars of the area.

What a gem! The meat and cheese options were so varied. Honestly the best I’ve ever tried. You get a decent portion of each you choose, and the wine I had chosen by the waiter paired so well with our dinner. A must-visit!

Went here last night, 27th September, had a great evening, got recommended a perfect white that my wife loved and a red for me that was to die for. Spent the evening there and a was happy to pay for the service received. Went back tonight for more of the same, sat in the same seats at the bar, only to be rounded on by the most obnoxious and rude person I've met. Asked us where we were sitting, we said here and he said "absolutely not, I don't have people sitting at my bar (what are the 8 bar stools there for, you may think), all tables are booked, you'll have to leave." We literally left, whilst the other staff looked at their feet, I wouldn't pay your hard earned cash to such an unwelcoming owner / manager.

I discovered this place because interNations events are hosted there. It’s quite big and has different cocktails with cute presentation. It’s a good place for big groups.

What a great introduction to our weekend in Lille. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, they serve extremely fast. They have a short selection of dishes, but very well made, perfect for sharing, mixing both modern and traditional food. Everything was very tasty and refreshing, not what you see everyday. The place is super vibey tooand prices are fair.

Hours vary, but the place is really worth a visit. The layout is cool, staff is friendly and the menu is full of great localy produced food.

Racist against non-french... They let 5 (out of 6) enter from our group. The last one, not french and not drunk, they did not let in. Security was very aggressive and insulting. Not worth going. Try another place instead...

It's so difficult to internet search a good jazz club in France.Most clubs just post pictures of drinks, the bar, and food. I don't go to jazz clubs to eat. I want to see pictures of the stage, drum sets, and musicians performing. Why don't the French get this?

What a great interior. Awesome. Please do visit this bar. But outside they advertise 48 bears. But inside only 8 on tap. And not much more on bottle. But it looks like this is the same in every bar we stayed so far. But a really great place to stay!! You must have seen this.

Great beer. Disabled Access. Spacious. Smoking area out front. So disagree with the recent 1* review on most of their nonsense. Mostly, on the music choice. Music is subjective. What one may find awful, another may love. It's ridiculous to ridicule a place for music that you do not enjoy. Bar snacks are limited, which is a shame. However, the nachos were a large portion and tasty. The most important thing, is drinking. Man, there's great beer here. A huge menu of choices. The staff are really lovely, especially to this fool that speaks absolutely no French. Oh, they also offer this 'sharing' rack of beers of 14 x 1/3 tasters.

One of my favourite bars in Lille. This place attracts a diverse range of people and serves a great range of beers on draught, what more could you want? I have visited Lille multiple times and am always sure to make time to go in for a beer or 3. Keep doing what you're doing Le Lobby team!

Discovering this hidden gems in the center of Lille was an absolute delight. The atmosphere and decoration exuded a captivating charm that instantly drew me in. The staff exhibited remarkable professionalism, demonstrating their warm and welcoming nature. However, I must admit that the cocktails left me a tad disappointed. I was impressed by the presentation of the cocktails, served in exquisite glassware that added a touch of elegance to the experience. However, when it came to the flavor combinations, they fell slightly short of my expectations. While they were enjoyable, I have had the privilege of savoring better cocktails in my career. I approach every experience with an open mind and a willingness to revisit in the future. I believe in the potential for growth and improvement, and I look forward to seeing how this establishment evolves.

I loved the main ambiance in this bar, loved the design and concept, espescially light colors change. The cocktails are pretty good also. However, i'd prefer to come back and see a live dj... i see such a place misses this part... it would be more ambient with it.

As a tourist in Lille for the week-end, I really liked this place. The crowd was nice, the bartender friendly and helpful when we asked him for directions to clubs, and the selection of cocktails, with or without alcohol (nice since we were driving later), is really good.

Place is very small and a lot of people wants to go so you end up ordering outside, where you can't dance or listen to the music. Cocktails were ok, very softened. Attention is very good.

It's a nice antique bar with the music of the 80s and 90s with the setting of lots of old things such as the superheros to cartoons to other old memorabilias. Regarding price it's a little above average, but I found this place worth a visit.

Lovely place - the very best bartender and the place is very atmospheric and inviting. Beers were top notch with a large variety catering to different needs. The bartender went through all the beers with me and provided helpful recommendations for the flights. Price point also very affordable . Highly recommended

Could be my favourite craft beer bar in Lille. They have interesting beers in tap as well as tons of bottled veers with reasonable prices. On the upper floor, they have larger tables and I saw people were playing some biard fames there. It's indeed a very cizy and interesting place to drink tasty beers and hang around with friends. Ohh, and the staff was super friendly and speaks English very well, which always very helpful! 😉

Amazing little beer shop tucked away on a quiet little side street. There were 7 beers on tap (I tried 4 and loved 3 of them) and something like 150 others in a bottle. The price is reasonable, and the bartender was friendly. Food from next door was offered, but extremely limited selection. This is more a place to start or or end your evening at.

Cozy place for a good lunch. No mayo but that is not necessary, the fries are tasty on their own. I had the chicken and it came with a very nice cheese sauce. friendly staff and there is a good chance that you will be among locals, which gives a real holiday feeling. And you will sit next to the Palais des Beaux Arts.

You can find very good cocktails at „bartown addict“. The bar is a really cozy and sweet place. I really would recommend that bar to my friends :)

Negroni was unique with special choice of bitters. Atmosphere and service were great. The ice in Negroni was not in one peace which was somehow suboptimal but the taste compensate it. I would definitely visit again.

Great cocktail place, the interior is very chic and the drinks are big good. Only drawback is that it took me 15min to get my drinks and almost the same amount in order for someone to take my order. But the wait was worth it

Had a pleasant Sunday brunch with such a chill and cosy atmosphere located in Vieux Lille. Very satisfying portions and the food is tasty. In love with the colors of the restaurant as well as their selection of music.

The Brunch was absolutely delicious: from salmon with poached egg, to avocado with feta tartine to pancakes and French toast. All very tasty! We just missed the brunch menu concept of having a juice, coffee etc in 1. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Just a little slow with serving. Overall experience was perfect, and will come back again !

Popped in for a quick drink before getting the Eurostar, the staff were very welcoming as soon as I stepped inside. The cocktail menu appeared to be based on seasonal and sustainable aspects. Very attentive, helped me with recommendations and the cocktail I had was excellent. They offer a small selection of bar type food; I ordered a truffle mushroom houmous which was served with bread and was delicious! 10/10 and definitely one to visit when in Lille!

We had a great lunch here on a bank holiday before my husband boarded the Eurostar to get back to London. It is only a few minutes walk from the station, but worlds away from the tat and chain cafe rubbish that is Lille Europe. The menu is small, everything beautifully cooked, delicious and delicately presented. We shall return.

The cocktails were amazing, I had lapsang soushong and marmite, yes marmite and it came in a smoking teapot, brilliant. The first cocktail was vodka, rose and verveine - really lovely. Get there early though, as places are limited and it fills up really quickly. We arrived at 5pm.

Wonderful cocktail bar just on the outskirts of the city center! Cocktails and small plates were delicious, friendly service, and AC!!! Highly recommend!

Every time I’m in Lille, I try to visit this place. I’m not religious or a believer at all, but I enjoy the sense of peace here. My favorite part is the front wall made of stone slabs, glowing with the sunlight streaming through. I love that Europeans are not afraid to blend modern elements into what is traditionally seen as timeless and unchanging.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for a church before but since I really enjoyed my visit, I’ll make an exception! I spent about 20 minutes inside. At the back of the church, there are explanations for each shrine about the art, paintings, and/or statues you can see, also available in English. The decorations in general are very nice. The exterior is original, and inside you can find the story of the church’s construction.

When i got to the church for a visit on a saturday noon, it was so crowded with people on their best clothes for mass. A nice sight to see locals with their religion. The church itself is nice with a mix of modern and gothic architecture and many arts displayed for the visitors to see.

I had the pleasure of visiting Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille Cathedral today, and it left me in awe. This cathedral is a stunning blend of history, art, and spirituality — from its contemporary exterior to the richly detailed interiors. The stained-glass windows are absolutely breathtaking, filling the space with color and light in a way that feels both majestic and intimate. Each chapel is beautifully preserved, with intricate altars, ornate mosaics, and artwork that tells centuries of stories. One of the highlights was the altar under the towering stained glass panels, glowing softly with red votive lights — a sacred and serene corner that invites you to pause and reflect. I also appreciated the scale model of the cathedral displayed inside, which offered a fascinating look into the architectural vision and construction history. The mix of Gothic and modern design throughout the cathedral makes it truly unique — especially the bold, minimalist main altar contrasted against the more traditional chapels. Whether you’re interested in architecture, religion, or simply want a quiet, inspiring place to explore in Lille, Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille is a must-visit. It’s a space where past and present coexist beautifully — peaceful, grand, and full of wonder.

What a beautiful church in the heart of the city center. The main entrance is up a flight of steps. You're immediately drawn to the backlit alabaster and round stained glass windows.

A must visit if you're in Lille. Tickets are very cheap and the museum itself is great! Easily my favourite musuem of the ones we visited during our trip. Some really interesting history and beautiful rooms/ architecture.

We really liked this museum and how welcoming it was. Buying tickets was easy, and so very reasonably priced!! The main section was very interesting to look through, with plenty of information boards in each space. The guides were also helpful and friendly and explained what Lille 3000 was, so we'd better understand some of the exhibition. Some of the displays had very helpful digital info points that gave more information about items in the room, perfect for answering questions! Unfortunately the chapel was closed when we visited, but we enjoyed looking at the courtyard space with it's interesting Lille 3000 exhibition in!

I liked the architecture of the building itself. This place contains art that is not the normal ones that you usually see in museums around Paris with some more modern take on art there was a room with a projection that felt kind of a new idea and something interesting to see the location of the museum is very nice and it was included in my city pass.

We had a great time at this museum leaning about the French history during the 16th-18th centuries. The staff were very nice to us, even though the museum seemed small, it was definitely worth it and the price of €22 for 4 people. The history is super fun to read and see, especially their temporary exhibit that represents different mixes of feeling about the world and about the history back in the centuries. Their permanent exhibits that are in the main building are worth to see, with more interesting paintings and architecture. The dog at the end was pretty sick too, haha. Overall, it was definitely worth the visit in Lille for something to do!

With a 7 euro entrance, same as the Palais des Beaux Arts, this is a poor choice where we spent only around 30 mins with nothing much to see! A waste of money & time. Avoid at best, way over rated!

The museum about the nuns is extremely short and the lady welcoming you don't speak English so it was very difficult to ask questions or navigate. We expected to see some furnished rooms from an actual hospital but there were only not related paintings. The current temporary exhibition is not fitting at all, ruins the atmosphere and you are obligated to pay for it even if you don't care about it.

I don’t understand why this museum is destroying the great history of the building and the fantastic spirit of the former inhabitants by placing modern art in it.

Stopped in about 4:00 after a long day of travel and found the perfect spot to wind down and relax. Love the self-serve taps, and the staff was super patient and helpful. Haven't tried the food yet, but we will soon be back sitting on the shaded patio enjoying a burger or plat du jour.

Nice staff, efficient service and nice concept with a card to try different beers 🍻 and can choose which ones to try and the amount. Also love the starters that are at a reasonable price. Only disappointment was their champagne was served in a beer glass rather than a champagne 🥂 flute.

This place is a must for its unique beer tap self service concept. Well done for the great concept, we feeled welcomed and the food is good, as it is 'fait maison' with fresh product. We had a great time being there today and will certainly be back soon, wish the team a good continuation, Isabelle

It was a fun experience with a cozy atmosphere and nice service. English speaking and nice of them to explain how things work around. You need to draft your own beer from the 12 Taps available using a card. Such a nice experience and if you know how to draft a beer, it comes handy. Priced based on amount of quantity, so also super nice.

First time in Budapest but researched the best steak before we came and it did not disappoint ! It’s my partners birthday tomorrow too which I noted on our reservation and Suzy surprised him with dessert. 10/10 wish we could come back next week ! X

We loved this place. The food was excellent pub food, particularly incredible chips and the steak tartare...oh my. I has a really nice terrace for when the weather is good and a lovely area which is covered but kind of half in, half outside. My only reservation is that I just don't get the "pour your own beer" concept. Pouring a good pint is actually quite tricky and all too easy to f**k up. I can't help but think it would work for any other drink except beer but, hey, if you want wine they have plenty and they'll even pour it for you.

Although it is just a simple gate, i love walking in that area and admiring the architect and old historic symbol of this monument if you go very early in the morning, it will be empty, and you can take some nice pictures with the gate and the belfry in the background

🇫🇷“Porte de Paris” is an Arc de Triomphe built in the 17th century to commemorate Louis XIV conquering the city. 🇫🇷 Across the street from the Porte de Paris, there's something commonly seen in Belgium and north of France: a Belfry (bell towers), the word comes from the Middle English berfrey, a term for a wooden tower used in medieval times. 🇫🇷 People can climb to the top of the Belfry at 104 meters to get a panoramic view of the Lille , but we did not have enough time (that is my excuse anyway 😅)

Good atmosphere. Cocktails were plenty but lacked tasted. Waiting time was too long to enjoy the drinks.

Friendly service. Super long list of cocktails but execution didn't appear to be there. Maybe an off night. Sausage was a nice snack. Don't be a hero and try eat one of the red chilli's in the cocktails - beyond hot!

After having ordered more than 100 euros of cocktails, we ask for a 'caraffe d'eau', that is free even in restaurants in France. Well, we had to pay for their tap water 🤣 you lost a group of heavy drinkers!

This is the Aussie pub in vieux lille every local ( younger locals ) hang out for apéro. Apérols are on happy hour and everything works well except the toilets are super filthy and that too when it’s not a Saturday late night. More hygiene would be appreciated. The bartenders can choose to ignore you so go to order at the bar

As an Australian I don't usually seek out "Australian" bars in Europe but wanted to watch the rugby. Unfortunately this place seems either like a gimmick or severely ignorant. Firstly, if you are going to display The art of Australian first nations people credit them! There are too many cases of people reproducing such art without payment or recognition of the artists. Secondly why would you have a mural of the queen with the text "god save the queen" in the next room? You don't get to have it both ways. You can't display art of Aboriginal or Torres strait Islander people and then the head of their oppressor in the next room, a monarchy that commited genocide against them. Don't claim to be an Australian institution and display that.

Didn't have any food. Weekend out with brothers and wives (no kids). Ended up here after dinner, great music, fantastic service. At some point, waiters got on the bar to pour vodka down your throat, coyote ugly style. Had fun!

Game nights are very busy with one large screen at each end. Quite a young crowd with the terrace on the square and along the side. Not an artisanal beer lineup, but better than many.

I came here for the LEJ concert in September 09. I had the international covid passport with me and the security was about to not let me in because it wasn’t the digital version. I think there should be more awareness and more politeness coming from someone who is supposed to check the certificates. Besides that the theater was beautiful and the concert superb.

Very rude bar woman. Completely ignored us even though she wasn't doing anything else and no one else was at the bar, i was stood right in front of her and had to call out several times before she would acknowledge me. I speak some French so tried to order in French in case that was the issue, but the service didn't improve. She was dismissive at best and didn't listen to our orders. Shame as the bar is OK and in a good location

Really cool bar to enjoy some drinks or play boardgames with friends. Open till late (2am) If you come decently early around 9pm it's easy to find a place even for a bigger group but later on the bar gets absolutely packed and it can take half an eternity to get a drink. On the other hand that means there is no pressure to buy drinks or food either. Had a truly great time !

My reservation was supposed to be for upstairs but we were seated downstairs. The food we ordered downstairs is good probably after 10 beers but not good after 2. Very rich & heavy. Unfortunately not good for a proper dinner. Also there was a lot of chaos and disorganisation amongst the staff, which we witnessed. We had not been well attended to by certain staff members so make sure that if you have an upstairs reservation, then definitely go upstairs yourself. Hopefully the food is better there too.

We didn’t expect the portions to be soo big. We had a hard time trying to finish the food, and we couldn’t 🤣 The cheese sauce for the fries wasn’t a good choice, next time we will try another sauce. We came here because we wanted to try Welsh (right side), but it’s not for us. It was interesting to try but it was just too much and too beer-y. We’d love to come back and try other dishes from here 😊 The vibe here was also very nice.

Has a great vibe, people are friendly. But after I was decisive between beef burger or fried chicken burger, the emoloyee told me to get rhe beef burger, its great. Their beef fat fries are delicious, pizza is also pretty good with the cheese sauce and caramelised onions. Beef burger was horrible, the beef buns were dried out like stale bread, the beef patty was not cooked through, which is okay, but it was so dry the beef patty crumbled and starter breaking, cold and bland flavour. Beetroot ketchup was amazing, but could not save the burger. Toilets are also not very clean, with broken equipment. The staff are very friendly and inviting personalities. But their kitchen needs to move the food once it is ready. I often saw food ready to go, sitting underneath the heat lamp, essentially drying out the food.

Nice alternative place to be. Colorfull interior and nice seats. Different kind of fries, but very tastefull with different kind of sauses.

It’s really about taste … I haven’t really appreciated my experience. The person I was with did liked everything except the dessert 🍮 that was dry from both our points of view. It’s an experience, a complete one. You like it or not- you don’t have any choices except for your choice of drinks (not on the menu) among what is proposed (beers, wines, water ) and choosing to taste a really delicious appetizer , (not on the menu) I have really experienced big chefs food’s. They are always unexpected and impossible to discuss the taste ! But for me, this experience wasn’t fine and yummy 🤤 It’s impossible to adjust to personal taste . It’s a choice of experience I didn’t appreciate. For 28€/pers you have a starter, a main plate ( 3 different plates ) and a dessert. That’s correct . The restaurant was full .

We ordered, waited there for a whole hour (not exaggerating) and when we asked when our food was coming they told us there was only one guy in the kitchen. A few other people were waiting really long too. 4 waiters outside and 1 guy in the kitchen???? We ended up leaving without having lunch because we had to travel back home. Really unpleasant experience 😞

Unbelievable beer, exceptional food and amazing philosophy. Went twice in 24 hours, would’ve gone far more times were I in Lille longer. Beer list is fabulous, with a nod to locally foraged herbs. We took a train from Amsterdam, Main station to Paris North via Lille Flanders. There was a fire near the train tracks and all the trains were delayed. We were held up in Lille Flanders train station for over six hours. There are two train stations in Lille Flanders. The major train station have a few fast food restaurants, including a subway. The train going to Paris left from another part of the station that is about 1000 m from the main station. There were a few vending machines and all the shops were closed. We waited six hours for the TGV train to arrive. The capacity of these trains carries anywhere from 500 to 1000 passengers. They were limited places to sit. The station was open air and it’s a time pass, the temperatures dropped. The train finally arrived around midnight. The trip to Paris was just under two hours traveling time. On arrival to to Paris, the train station was closed and the security guard directed us to leave the station. The SNCF employees are kind enough to give us travel vouchers to take a taxi to our hotel. The vouchers had a value of €20 each we have to three vouchers. There was a long line waiting for taxis and as usual the taxi drivers we’re being very difficult depending on the trip. We were lucky to find one taxi driver who accepted the three vouchers to take us to the hotel. We have four suitcases and a couple smaller bags. He was very nice loading his vehicle. Of course we had to give him a €20 tip because of the outstanding service he provided. We arrived at our hotel about 3 AM.

I liked the station in Lille. It was relatively clean and pretty easy to navigate, no complicated floors or escalators. I feel like it needs more seatings as it gets pretty crowded with travelers. There are many shops and kiosks around it and location is central.

A major international hub serving international travel from France, Belgium, Amsterdam etc. serves both TER and The high speed low cost OUIGO trains. Other fast trains (perhaps) like Eurostar and INOUI are served from the Lille Europe station just a stone’s throw away.

A historical and beautifully designed architectural building that leads you into the heart of the city. I really liked it.

I find it hard to believe in this day and age that not one but three separate station staff were unaware that there was engineering work on the tracks between Lille and Ghent, having sold us a ticket and reassured us that it was a direct train, or that the SNCF website couldn't tell us the same. In the end it took us more than two hours including a hot and crowded 40 minute bus trip to get to Ghent, had we known, we would not have stayed in Lille or we would have booked faster trains through Brussels. Considering Lille is part of a cross border metropolitan area, is it too much to ask that their train operators share vital information?

Loved this station, very busy but its quite nice so with police going around feels safe even with the sketchy characters around.

I was looking for a bar in Lille Flandres that served good, original handmade cocktails, and I came across Joker. It turned out to be a fantastic experience — the presentation of the cocktails was creative, the spices and ingredients were interesting, and most importantly, the drinks had just the right kick. You could tell the bartender really knew how to balance everything so you’d feel happy without getting too drunk. The staff were also very friendly and efficient. One of my best cocktail experiences in France!

This is great pub in Lille. There is a good selection of beers on tap to choose from! The music’s pretty good and the bartenders are really friendly. American beer drinkers: Beware of the beer Paix Dieu. It will sneak up on you! But all in all, pretty neat bar.

The best pub we found in Lille, great variety of beers and the board above the bar clearly showed how much each beer cost - so no nasty surprises! The bar staff were friendly and didn’t care about my terrible French because their English was fantastic.

Cool little pub located in the center of Lille, Close to Palais Beaux-Arts. The staff seemed was very friendly, gave me a pen when I asked for one. The beer choice is pretty big.

Great beer selection. A nice guy from the staff described everything to us willingly and in detail, he took his time with us even though he was busy preparing for the evening concert. I appreciate that.

Updated Dec 2023: Staff still amazingly friendly, but the beers brewed on site are still among the most offensive I've ever had. It's a process problem. Infections, high ferm temps, whatever it is, it's undrinkable. Ordered a beer, took a few sips, left. Updated Nov 2022: The staff is very nice, but goodness, their "homebrews" are just insulting. Got the DIPA, which shouldn't have made it to the taps. It's not a recipe problem, it's a process problem; quality control is nonexistent. Review July 2021: A strikingly slow and offensively maskless staff (in covid times) serves a few good beers and some subpar homebrews, some of them clearly infected. I wish them the best, but there's a steep climb.

As a Londoner, this place is better than most bars in London. I really enjoyed it, clean, good lighting and an LGBT venue that can make decent cocktails. Also it does get busy but it's well managed. Btw, I really enjoyed "Le Taxi" cocktail

I believe it’s the only gay bar in Lille but do not quote me on this. It is a very cozy bar, large selection of drinks. A good variety of people ( probably the best quality of this place ): teenagers and adults , men and women. Worth a visit so I strongly recommend it . Also located right in the heart of the city .

It does get busy some nights but the staff are great and they welcome my trans friend so very lgbtq friendly i will went to come back here again

Young local crowd at the moment we visited the place, playing karaoke (not my thing but I'm not judging that, perhaps we arrived at the wrong time). Nice, efficient waiter who served us great cocktails from a varied menu list.

The place is in a very nice spot, they do have plenty of games (didn’t know until I went inside as I was in terrace), but the snack we had were not relevant. Maybe I’ll go back to try some main dishes, but I wouldn’t recommend snacks, the samosas were extremely oily and the nachos were just ok. Great place to take a drink though.

It is located in a beautiful region in the city of Lille, beautiful panoramic view with a river. Beautiful ambiance, nice beer friendly owners and the food is homemade ( the down side not a lot of choices). Great experience. To enjoy it to the max go with funny people.

I don't know why this post has taken me so long. This is the BEST bakery in all of Clovis/Fresno, hands down! Their breads, cakes, and pastries are all amazing. They also have the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. I always buy some for friends and family and it's always a hit.

One of the best places to have a chat while enjoying a drink. Large choice of beers. (local and Belgian mostly) there is a nice atmosphere the barmaids are nice and benevolent,there are 4 inside rooms and there's also an inside small courtyard where you can smoke and have a chat or just unwind. You can often find live musicians playing different styles of music. And on the walls paintings or photographs for sale.

The place is small so do not expect a big table when you have a big group. There is no decoration and the music is so low that can completely forget about it. Sometimes it is a good thing though. Basically, this is a bar to drink some usual alcohol, that is all. And this is no cheaper so there are some better choices nearby.

The drinks are nice (mojitos are really really good !!), Not too expensive, the place is nice with rooms you can book and use for private events. You can even bring your own food. The crew is nice, the place is too, it's really a good place to be ! I recommend it!

Probably the best bar we have ever visited in France. Excellent range of reasonably priced beers. Great atmosphere when Lille are playing football and it is being shown on the televisions

We visit Lille at least once a year but because of covid have missed 2 years. We always try and pop in here for a cheeky Belgian beer or two (my wife and I) and upon our most recent visit discovered that this brilliant little bar us just as excellent as before. Fair pricing, very friendly staff (despite our poor attempt at speaking french), good covid precautions and friendly locals…even the groups of lads watching a big football game welcomed us 2 Brits warmly (even when we cheer for the opposite team!). Lille…you should be proud. One of the cities best places for a drink or snack.

Beers where OK €5 a pint

Great bar serving, beer, wine and pinxtos. Friendly and arm welcome from the bar lady made us feel at home. The pinxtos were very good and ate on the lively street opposite another little beer hall. Great bar in Lille and adds an interesting offering of Pinxtos to the area.
