We stopped here for a quick snack and got the club sandwich which was so so good. Coffee and tea were also great. Fraser was our server and he was so kind and helpful!

The food is very reasonably priced given it's location nice to the train station. The waitress who is a Swedish gal is very sweet and friendly. Will definitely go again if have chance !

Brasserie with IMHO preserved authentic French charme, at least with respect to the interior and the served food. The food was delicious, the garden seating delightful and although being in the middle of where Chamonix' gets bustling, it was a pleasent lunch retreat. The service could have been a tad faster, but with three kids starving, everything short of "instant delivery" feels like a century...

Lively for apres ski- but in general full of Scandi 15 year olds. Let be Scandis, 15 year olds who want you to buy them beer less...

Service was fast and my server was very nice and attentive. My mocktail was delicious. I also had chicken wings and fries. Both came out piping hot! So that meant it was fresh and it also tasted very good!

This place is great!!! We’ve tried a few places in Cham but this was our favourite so went back a couple of times. Food is excellent value for money compared to many others. Teenagers loved it too. Burgers are huge and the best I’ve had in a long while. Salads are amazing too but be warned they’re not small… which is great too. Service was really quick and pretty friendly considering how busy they get. Definitely recommend giving them a try.

A nice burgerplace on the side of the street. Nice robust tables and good staff. Close to the trainstation but it didnt bothe me. The food was good, the fries were crisp and the burger was very good (I ordered the biggest on of course). Not very cheap but still worth it.

Great burgers and beer right by Chamonix train station. Best value children's menu we found on our trip. We went 2 nights in a row. Classic burger and wedges was delicious but really recommend the peak burger with the hash brown and peppercorn sauce.

This place is very good. The people who work here are so good at what they do. Very professional and polite. The service was quick. I chose to have a classic burger which was a good price not expensive and wow I can honestly say it was the best burger I have had in such a long long time. It was hot, fresh and delicious I really enjoyed it. We are from the UK, only staying for 4 days but I will make sure I return to Evolution 1904 to eat here again. if this is a hamburger restaurant, then this is not acceptable.. good salad, superb chicken wings, ok wedges, delicious vin chaud and pomme chaud but the hamburger is really dull, overcooked meat, not juicy enough.

The most authentic French double bacon cheese burger I've ever had. Seriously though, the food was great. The toilet kind of resembled a prison bathroom, but the food was fantastic.

Sat at the bar and had to wait a little since it was really busy, but the bartender was super nice (and cute 😊) and made the wait worth it. Tried the Blue Bird Blond and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is lively and fun, though it can get a bit crowded with people pushing past when it’s packed. Ended up chatting with another solo guest at the bar which added to the experience. The burger was really good too, nicely presented. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the drinks, the food, and the great vibes!

Hi!!! I’ve been coming to this bar regularly because I really like their beers and the atmosphere. However, during my last visit, I had a very disappointing experience with the manager. When we asked for the bill, I noticed two beers that we hadn’t ordered or consumed. I mentioned it politely, and the cashier corrected the mistake without any issue. When it came time to pay, I paid my part (about €20) in coins of €1, €2, and €0.50. The manager stepped in and said that paying with coins “wasn’t cool,” even though I wasn’t taking extra time or disturbing anyone. His attitude was rude and unprofessional, especially considering that I’m a regular customer who always pays properly. It’s a shame, because I’ve always liked this place, but the way we were treated completely ruined the experience. I really hope they work on improving their customer service, especially from management🙏🏼🙏🏼

This place has a great atmosphere, the kind you can't create on purpose or duplicate. It attracts locals and tourists alike. We have a great time every time we go there. The food is great, and the staff is excellent.

Been going sporadically for years. Used to be great food. Think I’m being kind giving in 2 stars to be honest especially considering the price. Big group and everyone was disappointed. Hopefully it was a 1 off

We checked in here last minute after a disgraceful experience at the Lykke and had an amazing time. Reception was lovely and helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful and the guests are treated to live entertainment and nightly shows. Very nice pool and spa area and most importantly the room was very clean!

Wonderful place in Chamonix. We stayed there with a group of people for UTMB. The staff is super friendly and the facilities in the hotel are great - swimming pool, sauna and fitness room, great breakfast, a lovely terrace with breath-taking views. The only downside was that there were hardly any vegan options at breakfast. I had to buy my own oats, for example. There was no fridge in the room and no option to store soy milk. We were traveling in a group and had a fixed menu every night. Four of us were vegans and it was all clarified with the hotel in advance. Unfortunately, they did not manage to prepare a vegan dish - the pasta had egg in it, there was cream in the salad sauce, etc. The only option was roasted veggies and potatoes every night. This was quite disappointing. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Had an amazing couple of days in Chamonix while staying at the La Folie Douce😍. Got only a budget room as we were spending most of the time out, exploring Chamonix and the Mont Blanc area. Room was ready before check in time so it gave as extra time to explore which was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming, giving us lots of information and recommendations about the area and the hotel amenities. We enjoyed nice evenings watching the cabaret show, while sipping a glass of wine in the bar and lounge area and it was nice and relaxing😍. Hotel has spa, gym and sauna and an outdoor swimming pool which I actually used one evening and was awesome. Sauna and evening swim after a day out on Mont Blanc is all you need😍. Our room was small but we didn't need more as we're out all day, beds were comfy, had kettle,water, teas and coffees provided, toiletries and bath robes and slippers. We didn't try breakfast and the restaurant itself but is was always busy ( maybe next time!). We had fabulous weather as well so we could fully enjoy our holiday. We will definitely come back here, hopefully in the near future and surely recommend to other travellers.

When you walk into the hotel you think “Wow what a unique and beautiful hotel!” But when you get to your room, it seems like a cheaply renovated dorm room that was literally painted from floor to ceiling in dark colors. The paint on the doors is chipping away leaving the original paint job showing, the wood on the windows is rotting away while the paint also chips. There is no AC in the rooms. No refrigerator. Two of the four beds that my kids had in their room had multiple strands of hair in it (that was not their hair). The towels had stains. The outlet in our bathroom started smoking as I plugged in my curling iron. Luckily the staff came quickly to change the sheets. However, in my opinion the poor quality of the rooms along with all of these other issues definitely would make me think twice about coming back. Definitely not the luxurious hotel it tries to be.

A beautiful hotel, especially the exterior and general facilities! Common spaces are aplenty, all well furnished and open for use. The bar area also comes to life especially from dinnertime, with live performances by talented dancers and singers – I found it a pity that they even had to perform at times where the bar wasn't too filled, yet they still gave their best. Admittedly the room was small. While cozy, it didn't feel like the price of the room was justified (likely exacerbated by the UTMB season). We only stayed a night as a transition to our TMB hike, but I would have enjoyed a longer stay if the price were more reasonable.

I would have gladly given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for one server who completely ruined our breakfast experience on the morning of June 26, 2025. Overall, the customer service was great except for one young server who clearly needed more training. She never greeted us, so we seated ourselves at a table that was missing basic utensils. After getting our food, we returned to find there were still no forks or knives. I approached her politely to ask for some, and her response was a flat “yes,” with no greeting or courtesy. She dropped the utensils on our table without a word and walked away. We then needed napkins, so rather than dealing with her again, I grabbed some from a nearby table. She later came over, visibly annoyed, huffing and puffing. When I mentioned that if she didn’t like her job, she shouldn’t be working in customer service, she completely lost control and started going off on me. It was an unfortunate and uncomfortable experience that put a damper on our morning. With proper training and professionalism, this situation could have been avoided. On the good side: Breakfast buffet beats all the luxury hotels I have been to! Absolutely amazing options and delish! Dinner was one of the beat of our trip. The show during dinner was great! We enjoyed singing along. The rooms are ok, no AC but leaving windows open during the summer helps. Phones were not working. The hotel decor was amazing! We loved every piece and enjoyed the bouncy house in the back! We will come back! Please train your staff!

Iconic hotel. Visited during summer during UTMB and wasn’t too busy. Huge and v easy to get lost. Staff v friendly and AMAZING breakfast. However, rooms need more attention to detail. We had a 5th floor twin room which didn’t have enough lighting and the TV was tiny. Minor detail but no room number on wristband and bad signage to rooms so got lost! No air con in rooms so had window wide open, but when closed v sound proof and blackout blind amazing. Spa was v quiet but the hammam was out of service which we were not told when checking in. Pool and saunas decent, but showers needed attention as there was red and black mold growing. Staff at spa could have been more attentive as a lady came into the sauna with all her clothes and shoes on, and proceeded to half undress and lay her socks out on the benches. Compared to the Lykke hotel & spa, facilities were much worse and would recommend going there if you want a spa experience as price comparable. Didn’t make use of other facilities so can’t comment.

You’re only here for the restaurant atmosphere. Staff was so rude and did not show professionalism. Our server came to our table and her first word of choice was “what do you want?” Never dropped our drinks off and she didn’t check if our food was done right. Other serving staff took our payment and never saw her again. The restaurant is beautiful and located in a very nice and convenient spot. If you were looking for some instagram photos for a laid back apres ski, definitely wouldn’t disappoint. Other than that, set your expectations real low.

Absolutely terrible! We asked to have a coffee first before out dinner and they said to sit outside for coffee. We were freezing and it’s was very cold weather. These people they don’t appreciate you as a customer they look only your money. Of course we didn’t get anything. I’m not going to pay 300€ at least to eat but to get our coffee in outside table. People don’t support these kind of businesses that’s how they get rich.

The restaurant is amazing, we had a chance to have breakfast in the terrace, loved the Avocado toast with the atmosphere in their balcony, the place worth to visit.

Went after skiing at 5pm for some Aperol and a few snacks. The person I was with had eaten already some pastries and wasn’t looking for anything at that moment. Waiter took my order for an Aperol and some fries. Afterwards, she started commenting with a colleague and looking towards our table for whatever reason. When asked if there seemed to be any problem she just asked they were commenting on if the other person wanted to order something as well. After being said no, the stares continued. Not understandable since we were both sharing the fries and a drink had been ordered, so we were consuming products and we would be paying for them. Unfortunate as the place and decoration seem lovely with great view.

The place is great in one of the best locations in town. I was dissatisfied with staff service and food options.

Best example of a pub I found in Chamonix. Not a large range of beers, but good atmosphere and staff. Only one visit, but 5/5 based on that.

Great pub, came here twice on our vacation! Bartenders are all multi-lingual so it was easy to get a beer and ask for local recommendations. Good selection of drafts, lots of quality liquors, and it was fun to watch American football on the TV with other travellers.

Great drinks, great staff! I asked for a Moscow mule, which wasn’t in the menu. They did it happily and it was very good ! One of the best pubs in Cham without a doubt. I’d recommend :)

Nice little bar with a pool table. Expensive drinks €19.50 for 3 beers. Side note, I had my jacket stolen from here a couple of years ago so beware of young locals who come in for this reason! 😡

Spent a lot of time at the Pub while in Chamonix for a week. Great place to watch some soccer. Staff was wonderful and knew who we were after a few visits. We were there almost every afternoon. Good selection of beer and drinks with good people watching from the tables outside.

We spent an afternoon sat outside the bar with a fantastic view of the river and mountains. To say the staff were friendly would be an understatement.. Both knowledgeable about the area and (randomly) anime filmography! Would definitely come here again, thank you to Layla! Salut!

A must place to visit if you went to have a cocktail and relax. Nice list of drinks and very kind personnel. If you manage to sit on the window tables you can also enjoy a fantastic view if the Alps.

Great drinks, cocktails at about 12 euro per. Surprisingly good. Ambiance was awesome, main street chamonix out front, river out the back. Staff was fun. Would reccommend.

Was here over the 1 very busy week in August. The food, beer and staff were all excellent. Super grateful they kept our booking though we were an hour late returning to Chamonix. The meal was both my first meal of the day and my birthday dinner 🥲 Everything was good but the gambas, spicy noodles and Grimbergen draft stole my heart ❤

A great little pub. We dropped in every night on our way home. It’s quite quiet due to its location but it deserves to be busier! Bar staff were great and sorted us out with a snack after kitchen was closed one night so thank you! DJ plays some great tunes. Tapas type food which is delicious too. Check it out!

Great service, but quality of the food was quite questionable, especially when considering the restaurant’s price point. The wings were quite bland and dry. Their BBQ ribs had little meat on the bone and lacked color while the deserts were mediocre. The burgers were decent though.

Really interesting take on French-Asian fusion. The restaurant is a little out of the way for a normal person on ski holiday, but I would highly recommend the spot. Three stories with different atmospheres, the food was great and the staff was very accommodating. The restaurant itself has a hometown bar feel, which was welcoming and the selection of beers and wines was good too! Recommend absolutely!

Came here for dinner and had a great time! The servers were especially attentive and considerate, and took great care to ensure that our needs were met. The food was delicious – we had the beef and chicken burgers at €19 each, overall we preferred the beef but both were good. The cauliflower starter was also very appetising and unique. A great spot for American cuisine in Chamonix.

We just only had the burger with fries, it was a little bit expense but totally worth it. Burger patty was perfect and the combinacion with the sauce and bun made a really good burger. Fries are included and Mayonnaise and Ketchup are included and you can as much as you want. Service was really friendly and fast. And you can pay with card.

Rhyse is the owner and his brother-in-law makes the gluten-free buns. Rhyse is VERY knowledgeable about gluten-free issues and answered all of our questions with such a cheerful disposition! I had the Vegan Burger (and added bacon HA!). So yummy! Bighorn is off the beaten path and totally worth the "detour." And the gluten-free dessert...OMG!

Great bistro to have some burgers and beers. I'd seen that it has very positive reviews on google so we decided to give it a try. We tried the chicken fingers as a starter and they were really nice. They were served with a few sauces, one of which was spicy and really tasty. As a starter we ordered four burgers and try were really good. The quality of the meat was good along with the rest of the ingredients. The service was really good, the guy who served us was really nice and helped us with all out doubts. Very nice place in general for some american food. Take into account that depending on when you go they have different menus. We went at 3pm when they opened and options were a bit restricted but again everything was great. 100% recommend.

We went there because they had good reviews for their vegan dishes. Unfortunately they had only a hummus with pita starter and a beyond burger which you needed to specify you want it without the cheese. And their fries were fried with the chicken dishes. That’s disappointing. The staff was nice and kind, but I find it hard to believe that I’ll come back

Googled up a place for dinner and found this gem. Weather was getting a bit chilly as well as to avoid the bunch of smokers outside...had to skip the great view and sat inside. Food looked so so but this Biggy Smalls burger (sounded small but came with a thick beef patty) and Rocket Salad (the Arugula was thick and juicy and doesn't have the bitter aftertaste like those we get in Malaysia...and the feta cheese compliments the salad well) were truly one of the best i had. Very cool little bar just outside the main part of Chamonix. Great decor, music, and staff. Drinks selection was also good, and there's an outside seating area. If you want a proper bar, rather than a restaurant or pub, then this place is it. Would highly recommend

Probably one of the best dish I've ever tasted : the sweet potatoe tacos. You really need to try ut ! The drinks are also really good. Totally recommend it :)

Great place! Delicious food, burgers and some healthy options as well. The atmosphere is very chilled and nice, lots of people come here for drinks. At night it gets a little crowded, so prepare for a long waiting time. Anyway the staff was very friendly and we got a free water bottle with some nachos, what was very nice.

I spend most of my life here these days. I really like the place. Tastefully decorated. Ambient atmosphere. Really friendly staff. Skateboarding on one TV football on the other. Happy hour drinks from 4 til 6. Chips and dips. live music and Djs regularly playing stellar stuff ... it really is without a doubt a gem 💎 I will probably be in again later...what more could you ask for?

This place definitely lives up to its hype in the area. Menu is solid: meats dishes, chicken, fish, vegetarian options..friendly and efficient staff. They have very decent portion sizes and their soups are fantastic for someone either not too hungry or on a diet. Pricing is certainly tolerable and the place is well maintained.

The food is just excellent. I had a great Korean style chicken burger. My daughter had a lovely kids meal with delicious chicken. And the French Fries, wow. Just amazing. Views from the balcony are out of this world. Very convenient location just by the cable car.

We had our dinner for a party of 5 pax at Kitsche before our TMB hike. We truly enjoyed the food and the impeccable service rendered by the friendly staff, we went back for a lunch after completing TMB. To our great surprise , Kitsche offers free drinks to all TMB finishers. Again good food was served to our delight.

I walked in, spent nearly 80 euros, and walked out feeling disrespected and with one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The manager was not just indifferent, he was outright rude. The service was atrocious, and the food was even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s the kind of restaurant where you walk in, lose your money, and leave feeling insulted I went to this restaurant about three weeks ago. I’m not the type to leave reviews, but when you have such a terrible experience that you still can’t forget it weeks later, it’s worth mentioning. I asked the waiter to recommend the best vegetarian dish on the menu and the best burger. My partner got a burger, and I went with the vegetarian option and a Few beers. The beers took an absurd amount of time to arrive, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Meanwhile, the manager and the bartender stood at the bar, just chatting and gossiping instead of working. (I do asked for the beer again after 15 minutes, and they did not bring it anyway) Then the food arrived, and it was awful. Absolutely inedible.I had to ask for salt, pepper, and hot sauce just to give it some kind of flavor. (Did not work) The burger’s vegetables were old with wilted lettuce that looked like it had been sitting in the fridge for two weeks, slapped onto low-quality meat. We let the manager know, and he couldn’t have cared less. Not even a simple “sorry” or “thank you for your feedback.” On top of everything, the service was beyond terrible. I have never felt so humiliated in a restaurant before. I will never come back to this place or recommend to anybody.

Great spot with a fun vibe and friendly service. I had the Buddha Bowl—fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted homemade and well-balanced. The decor is quirky and creative, which makes the atmosphere really enjoyable. Perfect place to relax, eat healthy, and enjoy something different. Would definitely come back!

Finally a place that competes with Poco Loco for burger, and actually beats it with a more sophisticated and curated selection of sandwiches. Definitely worth trying! I had porchetta burger… very yummy!

We really enjoyed our experience here. My meal was great and there is an excellent choice for meat eaters and vegetarian. The IPA from the Big Mountain brewery was delicious. Can’t fault our evening.

We stopped for one drink and ended up staying over 3 hours we enjoyed this place so much. The barman was so friendly and made an effort with us to feel very welcomed. We had a range of beers, wine and gin and tonic which were all lovely. We ordered the hummus and chips which tasted so fresh. This is one of the best bars for a nice chilled atmosphere. The local shots were great and we hope it helped the dog!

Great beer spot to try local breweries while having options for everyone’s taste. This is how it works: you can load a card with some money on it and then go to each tap. It charges by volume so you can try a beer or get a full pint. You can spin down your whole card, so no wasted of money as well. They also will pour a pint without needing to get a card. There is also a lot more seating upstairs and a whole other set of taps with beer to try. Definitely recommend!

Great beer selection, on tap and in bottles / cans. Pizzas are good, but more of a snack than a meal. Actually works out quite cheap if you top up enough money on the pre-paid card. €30 gets you €33, €50 gets you €57 (or hummus, which is excellent. Really good.)

This is the best bar in Chamonix, €4 beers between 16-18 and buy 1 get 1 free for cocktails and soft drinks between 18-19 and 20-21. You can sit inside or outside but I chose to sit outside to watch the Euro 2024 games on the TV.

Very dirty place, the terrace is probably not cleaned in a while, a lot of cigarette butts on the ground, the seating space was also dirty. Beer was okay, standard prices, do not expect any service from the staff members. Also they are quite tensed. Good location, but not sure if I would recommend it.

Cool little British-style pub in the centre of Chamonix. Has an outside seating area as well as a couple inside areas (pool table, games etc). Allows food from the hotdog shack opposite to be eaten at the tables. Good selection of drinks and great staff.

Great multilingual bar with friendly staff, cold beer, nice music and sports on the TV. Atmosphere is great, we enjoyed it a lot. Nothing can't beat their happy hour pricing too. Thank you! We felt like at home.

Nice little theater. If you are expecting a US Mega theater that is not what you are getting. English movies with French Subtitles are offered as well as a large number of French films. The concessions are all vending machine and the theater has a slight musty smell. Movies change weekly.

What a disaster this cinema and its room 1 with numbered seats! Just last night, for the showing of the film Barbie at 8.30pm, people who had bought their tickets in advance on the internet found themselves in room 1 without a seat number, whereas people who had bought their tickets on the spot that evening could choose their seat number. I can't tell you what a mess this made of the cinema... The cinema manager, who was at the front desk to sell tickets, didn't want to know anything at first when the first people complained, saying there was nothing he could do. The cinema was really great, it was right up the street from our hotel, perfect for seeing Top Gun which we had been trying to see for months. It's an older theater but has a nice vibe. Would definitely go again.

Right in the heart of Chamonix centre! Shocking to even find a cinema never mind of this caliber! Not an AMC by any measure but for Chamonix it was superb with a great selection of movies, very comfortable seating and no crowds!

Probably my favourite wine bar in Chamonix. Plain and simple but an amazing selection of wines and spirits from a few Euros to super crazy millionaire stuff. Staff always friendly and do a great cheese / charcuterie platter. You can buy a wine at bottle store prices and pay 8Euro to drink it there around a table. Always worth a visit.

Went there for wine tastings but we had to bring our kids. Staff served us well even though our kids were not very easy to please while we adults were there for the adult activity. Learnt good knowledge about French wines.

ChaChaCha is a must visit in Charmonix. It is a great place to get beer, wine, whiskey... or whatever you want to have back in your own space. They have a great selection, especially if you are looking for beers you cannot find elsewhere. The owner (I assume, I should have asked, but the woman who ran the store every day we were there) was amazingly knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. We very much enjoyed seeing her every day we were in town and can't wait to visit again in the future!

I love South Bar. The vibes are immaculate and the views are incredible. The bartenders are so much fun! I could really go for a Leffe and a cig right now. Miss you guys.

My family had a tasty outdoor lunch at South Bar, with spectacular mountain views, but our server needed some help! She seemed overwhelmed waiting on the patio lunch crowd all by herself. Our South Burgers (very good) came out quickly enough, but after eating it took a half hour to get our bill. Normally I wouldn't care, but we had a tour excursion to get to. I'd love to try this place again, but alas, I live 4400 miles away.

We had our Speedgolf get together and pasta party over here. It was a really nice setting for the event, cosy and very friendly golfer-friendly, very welcoming! During our pasta party they catered a special menu which I liked a lot. The usual menu wouldn't be my first choice for food as I like it more healthy and have found other places in town I prefer. On regular days it’s a mountain sports bar, so expect a good selection of beers, late night food and live sports. I guess it's a community hang-out for locals, a little off the main tourist promenade, hidden in a courtyard. My friend had a burger here and I picked a few fries to taste. . . Personally, I didn’t think that the food was anything to rave about other than the fact that the kitchen is open until midnight.

This is my goto place in Chsmonix South 😊 They offer good food, a very good selection of drinks, and now during the Euros, the atmosphere is even better than in a normal year. Coming here for dinner, or just for drinks, feels like being among friends.

Great little pub down by the river. Has a small outside area with some interesting industrial-style decor, as well as inside seating. Lots of drink deals. Was pretty dead when we went but I think that was mainly due to it being off the main paths.

Music was great but turned into a sham when they interrupted thier pre recorded dj set to interrupt the flow for friends requests. On the plus side it cleared space at the bar fairly quickly. Toilets that don't lock and don't have seats are a big issue..

I was one of the people pepper sprayed from the previous review. We left completely peacefully and while standing outside were attacked by the workers from the bar, about five of them. One came out with a large can of pepper spray and got myself and my three friends in the face. We were then kicked on the ground and my 800 Euro ski jacket was ripped off me and my friends phone. I couldn't see for four hours due to direct contact with my eyes and was really worried I wouldn't see again. I can't understand how this is acceptable. We found out the next day that they have a reputation for doing this and did it to a similar group only a week previously including a 21 year old girl who was also kicked on the ground. I would recommend avoiding this place at all cost as it was one of the most traumatic experiences I've had. Edited addition in reply to the owner claiming lies: You have to be accountable for what you have done. It should result in the closure of your establishment.

Watched a group get assaulted and pepper sprayed by the security outside the bar. They had left without any problems and then an angry security guard came out on his own with a can of pepper spray and started spraying a man. A fight started and then more bouncers came out and I witnessed four bouncers kicking a person on the ground. Absolutely ghastly behaviour that you wouldn’t expect in a safe society.

We were very disappointed with our visit to Le Janssen in Chamonix. We had to wait 30 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. The restaurant was clearly poorly organized, and the service was absolutely lacking. The staff seemed overwhelmed and completely ignored the guests. Interesting to see the bad reviews here - we had a very different experience. First of all, the space is incredible - eclectic blend of futuristic and traditional, exposed concrete and metal married to the old building in a way that works, and maybe a hint of a steampunk vibe. The bar is amazing and beautiful - I would say it’s worth visiting just to see the place. The vibe is funky, trendy, modern and glam. Great drinks / wine list, and it overlooks the Apres Ski bar with the burning braziers. We left around 7 for dinner elsewhere and it was getting a lot busier but all of a sudden there were about six people behind the bar in response. Will definitely be a go-to place for me in Chamonix.

We went for a leisurely lunch and enjoyed every minute and each bite. The food is rustic and honest, yet refined. My son ordered the beef special which was incredible, absolutely delicious. I had the fish which was also very good. Every single thing we tasted was superb, the bread and butter, the starters, the wine by the glass, the dessert buffet. Staff was super friendly and was patient while my son practiced his French. If there’s one place you go for a nice meal, make it here.

An amazing way to finish the holiday. A fine dining experience in a relaxed garden setting with beautiful food and lovely service. We both opted for the very reasonable daily 5 course menu - €59. Delicious. I would have paid more.

All the staff at la Maison Carrier made us feel at home by their kindness to us. Their English was good which was lucky because our French is not so good. Our favourite main course was the trout ballotine with citrus fruits, artichoke and arugula pesto. It was melt-in-the-mouth and had a very punchy flavour. I had an entree which I adored that was egg, cream and cured meat. The serves were ample. We were recommended to the restaurant by our Airbnb host. The little extra things they gave us at the beginning and end of the meal were very tasty. As you no doubt realise from other reviews, they have an amazing dessert buffet called ‘Grandma’s tarts’ - all the French desserts you even dreamed of. People came into the restaurant looking serious but after the dessert buffet they were all smiling. I liked the fresh cherry tart and the oeuf en neige best. We felt the meal was good value.

Really got an alpine dine experience here. We ordered the mushroom cheese fondue, the veal appetizer, the sea bass and pork as main dishes, and used the dessert buffet. The ambience was really relaxed and luxurious at the same time.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend. We made a reservation a week before. The restaurant is elegant. We ordered the prefix meal which came with the buffet dessert. The meals were expensive; however, the prefix special was a good deal. The desserts were delicious.

Got a recommendation for this place from a local. Absolutely wonderful experience. The building itself was rustic and full of alpine touches. The food was delicious and they were really generous with the servings. The semi-buffet of grandmother's pies for dessert was excellent. We were able to try multiple things. Service was also excellent.

According to the group with whom i went there, the food was "ok", i sont share this opinion, specially for the price. I ordered goat cheese and honey raviolis, they were completely see through, lackluster in flavors and quantity. The salad was very simple, just a few leaves and some generic dressing. For the price, i would have expected more, even the quantity was small. Seems like the restaurant just takes advantage of being in a touristic spot where the customers wont come back. Hence the lack of quality in food and service.

Cosy restaurant to hide from the snow. Very French style, very slow paced. Tried their tartiflette as it is a dish my French friend recommended. Tastes very rich and milky. Hard for a person who likes milder or blander food but if you like rich and cheesy stuffs, you can try it. Take your time to eat in this restaurant. Take a chill pill.

Definitely make a reservation because they will ask you to leave if you do not have one even if you were already inside drinking. They did make an exception and gave us a table and in the middle of ordering our food, the waiter left and did not came back because they are pretty understaffed. The food is just not worth it, the fondue was one of the worst I’ve tried, with no consistency nor flavour. The ravioli were terrible and mushed together. Definitely there are better places to have dinner with much better service and quality

We stopped here for drinks a couple of nights as the outdoor seating is a lovely spot. The staff were friendly and we had both table service and went to the bar ourselves. Very reasonably priced for the area.

This place has a bar area at the front, restaurant at the back and upstairs. Extensive selection of local specialties. We went 3 times over the 7 days in Chamonix, loved everything we ordered. Good mixture of locals and tourists with a low key ambience. Highly recommend.

Worst restaurant I’ve been to in 30 years. Typical commercialized dump, take the tourist for a ride. Bad service coupled with extremely poor quality food… I could not even chew my meat it was one big piece of sinew and when we were trying to give feedback to the manager, he starts arguing with us. All I can say is wow… all about them, and no consideration for the customer.

Wonderful food - plenty of choice of local and regional fare & wine choices, fantastic service! They call themselves a sports bar (and there is a bar with a TV and a larger projector) but the french bistro part of it serves amazing local food. Highly recommended

On Monday evening in late July, I had delicious Moo burger and a glass of red wine. Staff was pleasant and helpful in ordering food and drinks, outdoor seating with umbrella was comfortable, not too crowded, service was promptly and we were able to pay our own portions separately. My first time at Moö, I sat at the bar and met one of the owners for a friendly conversation. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the whole crew made me feel really welcome. I kept coming back to enjoy their great cocktails, local beers, and what I think is the best burger in Chamonix.

Came down mer de glacé about an hour earlier with a big appetite, and me and 4 of my friends ended up here. The menu was a bit limited but that could have been because it was 3pm. We all ordered pulled pork burgers and, oh my god, were they good. The pork was done perfectly, the sauce was incredible, and it came with a huge pile of crispy fries. The man who served us was very nice, and since we sat outside obviously the chamonix atmosphere was top notch, with the busy street and the mountain backdrop. Incredible experience, would eat again.

Great restaurant and bar which a really good cider at decent price along with good beer selection too, the burgers are really good full of flavour and juicy, I would recommend the sweet potato fries and they really good and the BBQ sauce served with the dishes is delicious, the service was also really good with very polite staff that even offered us a table outside as we sat inside at first due to none being available it was very much appreciated

Slow service. I think they’re understaffed. Skip the regular fries (soggy and sad 🙁), the sweet potato fries are much better. If you’re gluten-free you have the option of no bun, or a salad. Would be nice if you could swap the bun for fries instead of having to pay extra for them.

The best place for lunch in Chamonix! You get daily a lunch special price (12,90 Euro). The lunch menue is between 12 and 3 o clock pm. You get really full and you get a lot for the money. Every day you can choose between a meat, fish or vegetarian dish with salad included. I keep coming back and I’m always really satisfied with the food, it’s really delicious! Friendly and attentive staff!

If you enjoy burgers and a great atmosphere, then this is the place. The burgers at this place is on a different level for Chamonix and rivals Kverneriet in Oslo. Noone comes close to Kverneriet... Except MOØ. Wow!!!

We spend an evening here dining and listening to music. They had a nice band which sang in french and english. The ambience was amazing. The waiters and bar tenders were amazing and helpful.

A lucky place situated in the heart of the village facing to the South with tables outside as well as inside. Few things are better than having a beer in the sun after a hike in the mountains. Or even a simple stroll through the village. Warm service and even now in October there will still be a few opportunities to enjoy the sunshine here.

Don't be put off by the bright lights, functional tables and lack of moutain restaurant decor. The food and service here are great. We had a lovely cheesy fondue with the plate of charcuterie, salad etc. The place was packed with French people enjoying the food as well and they know their grub.

This place has Vegetarian options marked on the menu. We had only 1 pizza and it was authentic. You have to actually cut your pizza just like the authentic way. Vegetarian options available. We got jain pizza.

Had a beautiful time siting there at the patio of the restaurant. That magnificent view, snow falling down from the top of the Alps. It felt like the time is stuck in that moment. Coming to the main point, I liked the food menu, it had all the detailed like veg and halal options. I ordered the cheese burger with fries. Large portion of meals offered. The server guy was fluent in English and service was great. Would definitely visit their again to explore other options.

Their IPA is a MUST-TRY! And I ordered their Regina pizza - freshly made and it was wayyyy too yummy! I had my lunch and you guess what, I can't resist myself walking back in this restaurant for dinner on the same day! I ordered their ITALIEN sandwich, it tasted very nice too! (please note the bread is not warm/hot (not a complaint), some people may find it wired with a cold bread. It is how they are being served.)

Delicious pizza’s and smoothies with halal options, beautiful views and exceptional staff. Bonus that it’s located near the bus station so we could grab a bite before departing.

Lovely little cafe, perfect spot to shelter from the snow and wait for your bus. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere very relaxing. We only had a coffee and a chocolate croissant but both were excellent. The croissant was huge, perfect to share between two. The food looked lovely, big portions. I’d highly recommend!

Love this place. Went for a vacation and came across this place during my stay. There is halal options on the menu. The pizza, burgers and sandwhich is so good. Highly recommend it. The service is nice and the atmosphere is amazing. Before depart for Zurich on the next day i went back again for take outs so defo the worth. The fries are also amazing and when asked regarding the oil used. It is not animal oil so my fellow muslims can consume them with no worries. Will definitely come again for my future visit.

A great place to get hiking advice, with maps available to take with you. Unfortunately, the machine for collecting pre-booked cable pass tickets wasn’t working, so we had to go to the Aiguille du Midi station to pick them up instead.

As expected the place was super busy and from the entrance you can find leaflets and brochure with various activities that you can do on the mountains. We tried to get informed while queuing but in the 6-7 minutes looking trough them I couldn't find the info I needed and when my turn came I got the answer in 30 seconds 😁, and with a smile on her face. Since we travel a lot with the kids you couldn't help noticing (small or big) places for kids to entertain while waiting, ( tables with books for coloring) so this is a big plus from my point of view. So overall feeling is positive, one suggestion, it depends also on the day of the week and of the season of course, would be to supliment another person, like this speeding the que 😁. Regardless, everything around you is so spectacular that you quickly move on, and enjoy your stay. I hope you will to !

Cloe from Chamonix tourism office is truly an asset to your. She is very knowledgeable & has all the patience to explain in detail. We were very happy!!

This office had so many tips for how we could enjoy the Christmas in Chamonix without spending a dime. They told us about two unforgettable experiences in the open-air that were COVID friendly and great displays for the holidays. We even met Santa! This free concert was a tip we received for the tourism office and it did not disappoint. We got to experience Light Balance, a dance group from America's Got Talent. They did an incredible job transitioning their work to a live stage in the snow on Christmas Eve!

I visited Chamonix-Mont-Blanc last week! Its a scenic place with breathtaking views of the Alps. I took the cable car up to Le Brevent, 2525m high, to have lunch at Le Panoramic bar and restaurant with great views of Mont Blanc. Awesome experience. The staff at the tourism office were very professional, however, my country was not part of the countries listed in the visitors record form. So i could not make an entry in the visitors log to show i had travelled from Ghana for this wonderful experience and it was definitely worth the journey. I look forward to visiting again. :)

I was highly disappointed in my experience. I was able to purchase a bus pass but other than that was provided no information or direction. The only information I was able to gather was from the brochures that were near the front entrance. Did not feel as if they cared whether anyone came to visit or not. An overall very frustrating experience.

This is a rewarding stop after a full day of skiing. In fact, it is a great lunch spot if the full route down the hill is open. Indoor and outdoor seating, music and delicious food. The staff is very friendly and it is an all around great place.

Post-skiing, sat in the afternoon sun, enjoying a small bottle of wine for 10€. Enough for me and my mate. Lovely way to finish a grand day on the slopes. Would recommend it. No other places to sit around that area so this bar and the main eatery has the monopoly. No pic-nic allowed, yet shame there isn’t a general area for those that can’t afford the bar prices.

This was a great lunch spot. Had the plate of the day which was bavette enchalots with chips and a coke. Very affordable - was only 15.90€ for the meal. Staff were friendly. It’s not a particularly pretty place, but was right next to the bottom of the ski lift so super easy and the food was decent quality and size. Wasn’t any queues at 12:30pm.

Food was amazing, burgers are enormous, vegetarian options were tasty, and the atmosphere here is great; prices are also pretty reasonable; and the owners will get to know you and send you home as friends!

We got off the bus from our TMB hike past this place enroute to our hotel. So glad we stopped to “rehydrate “! Amazing craft brewery with 20 plus taps. WOW! Had the blonde and the white and both were top notch. 5€ pint happy hour 2-5 pm, what’s not to like?!? Great friendly service too. Want to go back for another round next time in Chamonix! Merci!

A lot of beer options available on tap. The beers are very good. Also, burgers are quite good. Definitely a place to check out if you are into craft beer. The view over Mont Blanc from the terrace makes it even more interesting

Best bar in Chamonix, with the best view and really friendly staff! Their new food menu is great, I had the Beyond veggie burger with caramelised onion and rocket, and it was so tasty. They have two huge outdoor terrace areas plus a big beer garden to enjoy views of Mont Blanc and chill with your friends.

What an incredible place. This has to be the brewery taproom with the best view on the planet!! Mega quality beers (love the IPA) and pizzas and burgers absolutely on point. It’s a must stop in Chamonix and I’ll be back again and again. Love it!

The pizza is fantastic and the tuesday 2 for 1 pizza deal is great. Highly recommend for a dinner.

The staff are careless, especially when i paid 50 euros and got 30 euros back in chips. Had to wait very long to get 20 euros back, which in itself is not a huge amount of money, but the situation itself was unpleasant. Couldnt recommend and people are better off just not going.

OK first thing you need to know is: You need ID to even enter this place, Driving license if you’re from Europe but Passport if you’re from anywhere else. You need a physical card or cash, you can’t tap. They only seem to open 1 Blackjack table even though there is 2 physical tables, we couldn’t even get a game even though there were 4 of us looking to play and a queue of others we didn’t know, tried 2 nights and gave up and cashed out. Even the roulette table was 3 deep on the second night and the second table doing nothing.

Foreigner here. No problems playing. Bit small and only table games are roulette and blackjack, rest are electronic machines of sorts. Pays 3/2, stays on all 17, if you play alone you play two hands 10 euro minimum each, and they offer surrender. Continuous shuffle machine 😂

It’s an ok casino they had as issue with me winning money on the night !!! I won 700 euro and the machine wouldn’t issue me the money but work seconds earlier on my friends ticket and when I went to the cash desk they said that they had an issue with my ID that I had used 30 mins earlier to enter the casino ??? Nice small casino, lots of machines and a few tables. We visited in September, which seemed like off season so we were able to play blackjack the first night, but the second time we visited they were not running the blackjack table. Minimum bet for blackjack was 5 euros which was great. If you go, they do require a passport (or maybe other ID) to enter

A difficult hike with some scrambling involved and steep slopes that can be slippery on a dry day - come prepared! Definitely worth a trip, the viewpoint is very close to the glaciers!

Arguably the best hike in Chamonix if you're fit enough to make it to the top. The rewards for your efforts are huge, the views from la Jonction are breathtaking. You can cut around 300m elevation gain if you use the télésiege, it will leave you around 1400m to climb. The first half, to the Chalet des Pyramides is easy, gradient is steady and low and you can easily keep your pace. Some of the hikers finish here, you can have a modest lunch in the chalet, the view on the Bossons glacier is majestic. The second half is tougher as the path becomes much steeper and in some places requires some basic climbing skills. But I've seen even 8-9 yo deal with it with no problem. The children were clearly already experienced hikers despite their age. It took me just under 3 hours to climb to la Jonction from the télésiege arrival point.

Spectacular alpine experience requiring a lot of physical effort. Key advice: - prepare physically - elevation gain of 1600 meters is exceptional - take a lot of water - there's no fresh water on the trail and you can only buy some in the les piramides chalet (2.50 euro for 0.5 liter bottle) - avoid big backpacks - it would take your breath away on the steep parts of the trail - take good trekking poles - they will rescue your knees, especially on the way down, and will support well your balance on the rocky paths - take good sunglasses and sunscreen to avoid sunburn - take some good food to eat at the top - the view of the glacier tastes better with a good sandwich 😋 Good luck!

Longer walk , absolutely beautiful. Specially if you're in love with glaciers ❤️ Worth to go. I'll say , must go ! Make sure that you are prepared for conditions. Might be very sunny , but much colder in the forest , high exposure on open parts - read ✓ strong wind , ice hiding on the rocks to ... Remember don't play on the glacier, this is not a playground ! ! ! It's not safe !

Climbed there early September through a less known route instead of the touristic one. Gorgeous hike, especially with the fresh first snow of the season that we were so lucky to have.

Excellent little hidden gem. Staff are fantastic and the atmosphere is as well. It became a home away from home for me. Only downside is it's a bit expensive. But, most are here. You could find cheaper places and will definitely find more expensive places. But that bit extra in cost was worth it as everything else was great.

Spent a week in Chamonix and went in for a drink most nights to Le Privelege. A lovely place, really rustic and a very good atmosphere. We were treated very nicely every time we were in by the same barman. A big thanks to him for looking after us all week. We look forward to coming back soon 👍👍

A great little vibe with good food and delicious cocktails! Although we were there too early for the kitchen to be open, the bartender was helpful in advising us when the chef would be in and ready for cooking. He was able to tell me of different foods to suit my allergen and I wasn’t disappointed. Great experience!

Went for Happy hour. Although it looked great, I did not have anything from happy hour menu because I LOVED their tap beer selection. Sweet potato fries and chicken fingers are fresh and tasty too.

Trendy place right in the heart of town, perfect for a satiating lunch after a TMB hike. The menu is varied and suitable for people with dietary preferences. We ordered a poké bowl and a vegan burger and they were both delicious. Service was great and food arrived quickly. Highly recommend.

This was the best restaurant I've been to in a while. We were a group of 8 people and I tried everything that everyone bought. The burger, aubergine Parm, fish taco, shrimp taco we're all amazing. The salad and fries that came with my burger were also so good. This was the best food I had on my trip. Genuinely had such a good time.

The male server with tattoos was rude (after reading the petty replies to reviews I understand better). Unfortunately this encounter changed our perspective on the restaurant. The female servers were very friendly, had enjoyable music, and the burgers were good after a long hike. But wouldn’t support again.

I came in the to ask nicely (rather than just sneak to the toilets) if I could please wash my hands because a bird had pooped on me, the lady told me ‘for customers only’ twice, even after I explained (also there were zero customers there at all). I won’t forget how petty and unfriendly the staff here is. Zero compassion and not worth spending your money here. Merci!

The bartender was disrespectful against my friend who was trying to order a water and a beer. I have no idea why? Also the owner of the bar seems to be really defensive against negative reviews and tries to cover up the bad behaviour of its employees by fake answers to below than average reviews.

Bad service. We wanted just beer but they weren't friendly to my friend who doesnt speak French. They accused him of drinking own beer as he had just 5 min ago ordered that beer from them.

Brilliant venue especially every Tuesday night as it was Latin American music & there would be 2 girls doing the dancing on the stage, so if you're like me & can't dance to that music then they would help you get into the groove. Open till 2am & they had different nights on also like reggae music too but i can't remember what night they had that on but an amazing place with amazing people...

Cool and cozy venue to enjoy fine tunes and drinks! Superb sound / acoustics, excellent drinks menu, and pricing is very reasonable. When I get back in Chamonix I will definitely check this place out again.

The doorstaff and cloakroom staff are AWFUL. At the end of the night, it transpired that my girlfriend had lost one of 2 cloakroom tickets. We were leaving at 4:45 am, the cloakroom was almost empty and her jacket was in between my jacket and her friend's, on an otherwise empty rack. Obviously this is our mistake, however instead of being helpful in any way, they decided to try to push me out the door. There is a sign on the wall, saying €5 lost ticket, however, they didn't want to engage in a polite conversation around this. They just wanted to push me out the door. There was no queue, so there was no need to deal with the issue quickly. They clearly hate their job and their customers.

Im shocked by the negativity of these comments generally. This was genuinely an absolute gem of a place. The bouncers were adorable, gave us a cuddle, complemented us on our looks when arriving. Drinks reasobly priced. Went every night . Would go back every year! We only drank as we were more thirsty than hungry so Ive given the cuisine one star.

I went in after spotting it when walking. The clothes inside are varied and in a very good condition. There are ski clothes, casual clothes, and nice clothes, all set at a very reasonable price. Great bar with friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. Stopped in here for a drink whilst waiting for a dinner reservation and we were very happy that we did. The staff are super friendly, there's a free pool table (though it is well used), and the Guinness was the best I've had for a very long time. The atmosphere was so enjoyable I even went back after dinner and watched the football.

It is a great bar to watch sports, including UFC, Boxing, Rugby, and Football. There is always a great atmosphere in this place and the staff are great. Good selection of lagers/IPAs, and they make a great Espresso Martini.

Cute place for tacos, beer and margaritas. We got the plate of 5 taco’s which was delicious. They are very generous on the amount of meat given. The drinks were great too! Note - there’s heaters outside for warmth too.

What a fantastic restaurant especially for a vegetarian like me. They had TWO veggie tacos (savoy cabaage and nopales (cactus)!) which is rare to find in a taco place. I throughly enjoyed my dinner. My partner got the shrimp, carnitas and al pastor (favorite). All the meat was deep fried so slightly different than expected. The nachos were also very tasty. It had guacamole and salsa on top of it. The guacamole was so fresh!! The local gin and tonic was tasty but the margarita was meh. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Vegetarian Tacos and Nachos with Toppings both tasted great. Their home made Habanero oil tasted very good which they gave me when I asked for spicy. Staff were friendly and service was also quick. I would recommend them.

The tacos are generally good. Except for the one in the top left corner in the pic that was very very salty and all of four us agree we couldn’t eat it. Might be a single issue that day tho. Other tacos were well flavored.

Perfect location to wait for the cable car, but it was quite disappointing for me, despite the staff being nice. The coffee (cappuccino) was subpar (both the froth and the actual coffee) and only white sugar was available (no brown, sweetener etc options). Then the spinach tart looked nice but it was unevenly heated with a cold center.

Disappointed and genuinely concerned. I bought a snow globe for my young daughter from this shop. What seemed like a sweet souvenir quickly turned into a safety hazard. The globe cracked shortly after purchase, and my daughter nearly cut herself on the broken glass. I guess stuff like this happens but we didn’t particularly mishandle it and I was genuinely shocked how thin and fragile the glass was, far below what you’d expect for a product clearly marketed toward children! Could literally crush it with a small squeeze in the palm of the hand! Out of concern that other kids could get hurt too, I brought it back to the store, not even asking for a refund, just to let them know there may be a safety issue with their product. To my surprise, the staff’s response was shockingly dismissive. The cashier actually smirked/laughed at us, while my daughter was still visibly upset. I was told, “you’re not getting a new one,” even though I hadn’t asked. Then the director came down, laughed too, refused to even look at the broken item, and responded with a patronizing “my customers never complained in XX years,” followed by blaming me for letting my daughter “play with it”… again, this is a snow globe we’re talking about! Didn’t even ask if my daughter was ok. Psychopaths! If you’re going to sell Temu-grade junk at tourist prices, the least you can offer is some basic courtesy and concern, chère Madame. Especially when a child’s safety is involved! Deeply disappointing, and unfortunately, not a great look for a place that welcomes families and tourists.

Delicious coffee and yummy bread here. Here also sells many fashion and handy craft made to become souvenier from Mont Blank. Recomended by Kayin Fauzi owner of Pondok Mantau a proder of Mantau black pepper special buns from Balikpapan, Indonesia.

Fun atmosphere post-skiing, but dare I say... overhyped? Be ready for a lot of standing as table space will get scooped up. But good music and outdoor vibes will keep you occupied.

Gorgeous dining experience at Restaurant Albert 1er! First off, the staff were fantastic and made the night unforgettable! Big thanks to all of them. I had the vegetarian 7-course menu and asked for a cocktail pairing which the sommalier smashed out of the park. Each course was fantastic, big thank you to Chef Leveau, I especially loved the asparagus dish and the carrots dish, what fantastic fusion of fresh lovely flavors! The sauces that came with the dishes were so good that I asked them to be kept on the table just so I can have more of them with the delicious breads. The main dessert of parsley and chocolate was one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted, huge kudos to Chef Garnier! Dishes were also presented beautifully and every detail superseded my expectations. I will be a frequent visitor each time I’m in Cham from now on. The only interesting thing was that the chefs did not come out to chat, which is something I typically experience at Michelin restaurants. It would have been a nice touch on top of the wonderful night but really a 10/10 dining experience all around. Thank you and until we meet again!

My wife and I planned our trip to Chamonix several months ago, and with a few weeks of arriving we were able to make a reservation here which was awesome on such short notice. This would be our first Michelin Star, actually in France. We looked at the menu ahead of time and planned to go with the seven course, as our reservation was a little on the later side. We made it to the hotel where they they took our coats, as we walked towards the restaurant we passed a woman singing while playing the piano in the room before entering. In theory this would have been a nice touch, but she was absolutely belting it, it was disruptive and made the noise level in the dining area much louder than what I think is appropriate for this sort of faire. Not only was it hard to hear ourselves at the table much less the waiters trying to explain each dish. This brings me to the food. Ordering from the menu of only a few options took quite a while. When we requested a wine menu, an ipad was thrust upon us with 35 pages, impressive but quite a lot to study in a timely manner. I expected better summary of the wine options and pairings than what was offered, which was none. We selected a bottle of a local savoie region white wine on our own, which we enjoyed. By the time we received our bottle and served the first course an hour had passed since being seated. This seemed long but the time was filled with some palate cleansers but all before the meal seemed different. The seven course felt completely sufficient as it had a variety of different flavors. Overall the food was what I would expect from a dining experience of this level. The trout was a little bland with a highlight of the flavors butternut Corsican orange and ice cream with fennel flavors that came with dessert. This synopsis in a nutshell, I would recommend this restaurant and give it a 4 or 5 star rating, but let me tell you why I'm not: On the first course there was what seemed to be a beard hair on my plate, it was on a large plate far from being anywhere near the food, so I didn't want to make a fuss about it. However, on my dessert there was another hair (eyelash or eyebrow) on the serving plate, again not touching food but clearly present. Once, is unlucky, or a coincidence, twice, however, is a trend. And thus is where I would have liked to have mentioned something but at this point we had been dining for three hours and we're exhausted. Mind you, at two hours in we were only finishing our second course. Cramming five courses into one hour made for an uncomfortable eating experience, the was quite "heavy" and by the time dessert was served we could hardly enjoy it. The cheese course and selection was very impressive, however by the time all the two dozen or so cheese options were rattled off, it was hard to recall which was which and really just picking from looks. Some additional identification would have been appreciate to associate my final choices, but maybe that's just because I am not a cheese connoisseur. On a final note we had to specifically ask several times for our wine (from the bottle we purchased) and water to be refilled with stretches over five minutes with empty glasses - not the service I would have ever expected from a restaurant with a star. Overall I'm very disappointed with this experience, the food was interesting with creative flavors yet heavy and had us feeling unwell to the next morning. The quality and service was inattentive and lacking.

Wonderful meal, friendly and attentive service,in a beautiful restaurant overlooking their garden. We had the 9 course tasting menu with the 5 wine pairing. The sommelier was fantastic answering all our questions about the wine including some history on the various vintners. The food was good, standouts were the stuffed morels, fish from lake geneva and both our mains ( lamb and chicken). The service overall was exceptional all our interactions were pleasant and comfortable. They went out of their way to answer questions. Highly recommend for any visiting chamonix would love to stay at the hotel next time we visit.

What a great experience from beginning to end. From the mountains in the dishes, minerals as candle and plants from their harvest I truly loved it. The view in spring from the floral garden is astonishing I will return but next time I will stay in the hotel. Reservarion was indeed needed, with 4 courses it will take around 2 hours. We arrived earlier than the reserved time and they gave a us a table anyways, so nice. The restaurant is in the back of the hotel, all indications are clear once in the entrance.

Simply WOW. If you are thinking of booking the Albert 1er for a special occasion, please do not hesitate for one moment. From the moment you will cross the doors to the moment you will put your coat on, you will feel spoilt and taken care of. We loved every single moment, from the food to the wine to the cocktails to the dining room (we went for the 9-course tasting menu). They were also so kind to accommodate my requests before we arrived. Can 100% recommend - please do come back!

Disappointing Experience for a Michelin-Starred Restaurant We dined at Hameau Albert 1er for our wedding anniversary, expecting a memorable experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The waitstaff was unprofessional for a Michelin-starred establishment, often walking away when we had questions and failing to provide attentive service. They brought the wrong desserts and didn’t even serve them at the same time, which is unacceptable at this level. To add to the disappointment, the chef never came out to greet or interact with guests, which is something we’ve come to expect at Michelin-starred restaurants. Overall, the experience fell far short of what we anticipated, especially for such a special occasion.
