A must visit! Cosy coffee haunt, definitely the best coffee in Chamonix. I went here every day on my trip and the coffee was perfect every time! The cinnamon brioche rolls are to die for. I like the cosy setup, I sat at the bar seat when it was full.

Stopped by for a quick espresso before getting on the Aiguille du midi cable car. Delicious coffee! It's a very small place with limited seating but worth a visit if you love coffee! They sell coffee beans and have some pastries as well.

Super sweet ladies, one of the warmest people I have met in France. Got the muffin (with blueberries) the LIME cake (so good) and dirty chai and cappchino :) 10/10 yall awesome! Also coffee comes with amazing brownie bites ~

I would like to recommend a pancake. The pancake with so soft with the combination of whipping cream and chocolate, absolutely perfect. Coffee also good, The outdoor area also have a very good view.

Fantastic cafe right in center of chamonix. Their pastries are made by a 21 year old pastry chef who definitely knows what they are doing. The cinnamon roll and pain au chocolat are both 10/10 — couldn’t recommend them enough. Their Canadian brunch dish is also a great dish of meats and cheeses to pick at. Also they have many gluten free options…see the picture for specifics.

I loved my falafel salad and chocolate lava cake. I just would have liked more vegan options, especially a hot one given the cold, snowy weather outside - I would have then given 5 stars. Service was wonderful.

What a disappointing experience. Initially this looked like a great cafe stop for lunch in Chamonix. We ordered a slice of tart and small mixed side salad (quite pricey at 13.80) Tarte was tasty as was the salad until my friend I was having lunch with found a lump of mud/earth in her salad - the size of a 10 cent piece. Naturally this put her off finishing her salad. We mentioned it lightly to the waitress who was apologetic and would inform the kitchen. When we went into the cafe to pay, there was no mention made of this, but we were asked again if all was good - seemed like a good opportunity to say we had mud in the salad - instead of receiving an apology, the owner became rather defensive and even told my friend that as she is a regular customer she knows this is not normal - seriously!!! just a genuine apology and maybe a gesture would have changed the whole experience but we left feeling very uncomfortable at politely giving feedback.

Now it’s my favourite place in Chamonix for slowing down for a moment and enjoy life and mountains. The staff is very friendly, I asked them to cut the cake in 2 parts, because it’s too much for me - and I didn’t expect they would decorate it so nicely on two plates. It’s my fourth time here, super good coffee, fresh and delicious desserts, nice music, you feel like you’re their favourite guest. Thank you for this amazing experience. See you tomorrow ! 😍

Cute cafe in Chamonix! We stopped for coffee, so we didn’t try any food, but there were lots of pastry options that looked delicious! The cappuccino was decent, not the best I’ve ever had but also not the worst. The cafe had both indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor area has a nice view!

Fantastic spot and a much needed break after a long hike upto Lac Blanc. Friendly staff dealing with a very busy spot - order taken quickly despite it being very busy. Two gorgeous collies! Blueberry tart was lovely and the views are wonderful.

Hiked here for the views of Chamonix and Mont Blanc in the background. It is a perfect spot for pictures of the ville, Mont Blanc, and with a good lens, Aguille du Midi. We knew the Chalet de la Floria wasn't open today, BUT we're giving 5 stars because everyone we talked to in Chamonix raved about the food, location, and service. I'm including pictures of the info board at the hiking path entrance (pic date is 10-Jun-2025). Please note the sign says, "Pas de CB (No bank card = Cash only). Zoom into the pics to see the price list, and you can get an idea of how many Euros to bring. Bon courage on the walk from Chamonix. It is steep, rocky, and uphill all the way. I estimate a 7-10% grade most of the way. There may be small children or kids pushing bikes uphill that pass you. Fear not, fellow hikers, press on and drink your water (bring plenty!).. Allow at least an hour or more for the hike. Hiking poles optional but recommended. Water draining off the surrounding heights will offer photo opportunities and a chance to get your shoes wet (maybe).

This buvette has an excellent view of the Mont Blanc, and you can get there through many trails. They offer a few additional plat du jours in addition to the traditional scrambled eggs, crepes, crozets with cheese. We got their tarte fine and gnocchi au four, better than normal mountain food. Definitely reserve ahead of time during weekends and holidays, as they are very popular.

What an excellent food/cafe experience to have in Chamonix. You hike for about 45 minutes , steep in some sections but the whole track is quite doable if you take your time. You past 3 water crossings and then come across this delightful cafe. Then sit and eat beautiful food while looking across Mon Blanc.

One of the best lunch spots I have ever visited! The most perfect setting nestled in the woods, with an incredible view of Mont Blanc. Service was friendly and the food was great and good value too.

One of the easier walks in Chamonix although still a climb. Worth every step for the incredible views and the vibes of sitting having some food and drink with some of the best views in the world.

Disappointing! The breakfast was average, and expensive for the quality of food. This was the first restaurant in our 5 day Chamonix trip to ask for a tip on payment, very presumptuous even more so considering we hadn’t received our food yet! The place is very small and crapped. I can only describe the experience as sitting in someone’s living room who’s hungover after a night out. Some guys came in, obviously familiar to the staff talking very loudly of their drunken antics the night before. It was odd that the staff joined them in their chats, swearing loudly. They then proceeded to wedge the door open, not only making the tiny room freezing from the cold but also allowed stray dogs in to pester us for our food. The pinnacle of this disastrous dining experience was the chef then going outside, ignoring the orders that had just been placed and stood smoking in front of the whole cafe. It was enough to totally put me off my food. Between that and the dogs, this place clearly has no hygiene standards. In a nutshell, an expensive, chaotic and unhygienic cafe, I would totally avoid whilst in Chamonix.

I had one of the best English breakfasts I've ever had (including the UK). The quality of all the produce was fantastic and the surroundings were great too. Some of my group got breakfast burritos for later in the day. Highly recommend.

Cute little restaurant. Got an egg and cheese sandwich and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Quick Service, sat outside. Very good customer service ,very good prices.

Came here for breakfast 3 times on our trip. Simple options, hot food made to order, fresh, delicious! Friendly staff and accommodating to customizations on the orders. Highly recommended if you want a quick and tasty breakfast!

Various delicious pastries, sweets, chocolate, coffee and juices. I recommend visiting it, but unfortunately it closes early at 7 pm. The service from the employees is excellent. They have outdoor seating. Remember that it is forbidden to feed the birds that hover around you.

A charming warm place with an absolutely great interior and delicious food. I took a quiche, it was great and enough to get full. The cakes look like a piece of art.

Stop by to have a coffee, ordered coffee with chocolate! It's really great. We bought 8 pcs of cakes and cookies, all perfect because all cakes are well balanced in terms of sweetener and flavor! Suggest them to improve their services.... Dine-in of sweets will surcharge at around €2 per item than take away.

They have great coffee and great dessert, but the attitude of the workers was not the best, and we wait for about 15min for a coffee, I mean what for ? And when we asked one of the workers for our coffee, said no is not me it is my colleague, what for? A better attitude is really required, however this is was not my first time coming but it seems will be my last

Great coffee and delicious, beautifully decorated desserts. We ordered the chamouny (chocolate mousse and hazelnut) and the almonds & orange tartlet. We sat on the 2nd floor, it was cosy and the service was very friendly.

Came here for tea, a petite little dual storey cafe with new view of the apls from thr 2nd floor seating. I was told the hot chocolate was very good, sp i tried, indeed not too bad, just l a ilttle too milky for me, but their coffee latte decaf was even better. Tried their macaroons and walnut tart, macaroons was a tinge too sweet for me and the tart was just an average. Overall, ain't a bad cafe to rest on a hot summer afternoon.

This is an amazing coffee shop and a great place for breakfast! We ate here twice, and the food was absolutely delicious.. I especially recommend the Brunch for Two, which is a generous meal packed with a variety of tasty ingredients. The décor is charming, with the cozy vibe of an alpine lodge. They also sell ice cream, chocolate, and a delightful selection of pastries and cakes.

Big offer of pastries, chocolate, and even sandwiches. All very good, same for the coffee. The first floor offers spacious and quiet area to relax and enjoy your time.

Very charming and cozy location. We had breakfast with cappuccino and pain au chocolat on the outdoor terrace: great atmosphere and a wide selection of tempting pastries. The pain au chocolat was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to come back to try more of their classics. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Even though we don’t speak French, we managed to communicate easily thanks to their helpfulness. We will definitely return!

A beautiful and unique cafe. I dined on the second floor and had a great experience. The quiche plate was maybe the best I’ve had. It was fun to look at the gem stones on display and to look at the pastries and cakes downstairs as well!

This place has Vegetarian options marked on the menu. We had only 1 pizza and it was authentic. You have to actually cut your pizza just like the authentic way. Vegetarian options available. We got jain pizza.

Had a beautiful time siting there at the patio of the restaurant. That magnificent view, snow falling down from the top of the Alps. It felt like the time is stuck in that moment. Coming to the main point, I liked the food menu, it had all the detailed like veg and halal options. I ordered the cheese burger with fries. Large portion of meals offered. The server guy was fluent in English and service was great. Would definitely visit their again to explore other options.

Their IPA is a MUST-TRY! And I ordered their Regina pizza - freshly made and it was wayyyy too yummy! I had my lunch and you guess what, I can't resist myself walking back in this restaurant for dinner on the same day! I ordered their ITALIEN sandwich, it tasted very nice too! (please note the bread is not warm/hot (not a complaint), some people may find it wired with a cold bread. It is how they are being served.)

Delicious pizza’s and smoothies with halal options, beautiful views and exceptional staff. Bonus that it’s located near the bus station so we could grab a bite before departing.

Lovely little cafe, perfect spot to shelter from the snow and wait for your bus. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere very relaxing. We only had a coffee and a chocolate croissant but both were excellent. The croissant was huge, perfect to share between two. The food looked lovely, big portions. I’d highly recommend!

Love this place. Went for a vacation and came across this place during my stay. There is halal options on the menu. The pizza, burgers and sandwhich is so good. Highly recommend it. The service is nice and the atmosphere is amazing. Before depart for Zurich on the next day i went back again for take outs so defo the worth. The fries are also amazing and when asked regarding the oil used. It is not animal oil so my fellow muslims can consume them with no worries. Will definitely come again for my future visit.

Ah the hazelnut eclair and flan tart were absolutely amazing. Quality execution and not cloying in the least. They have some tables in the back where they do a casual table service. It's quick and friendly. But the pastries are excellent.

This establishment should be rated MUCH higher. The macarons here are spectacular! Each flavor except apricot are vibrant and fun. The texture of the cookie is perfect. You can taste pieces of strawberry in the fraise cookie and savory the richness of the chocolate in the choclat one. The croissants here are an amazing value and probably the best I've had. The bread filled with chocolate and cream is a great breakfast sweet wake up. You really can't go wrong here in pricing or flavors.

Just amazing. Fantastic selection of macaroons and really unexpected flavours. The place is lovely decorated. They also serve up a great selection of other desserts, very unique and well crafted. Not very expensive either, which is great. They also serve coffee and teas in the back.

I discovered this charming salon de thé while visiting Chamonix, France. A very pleasant surprise with good coffee and delicious homemade ice cream, you must try the one called Mont blanc with macaroon cream and Chantilly, yummy! It has quality products, great service and customer service is friendly with tourists, a fine experience for affordable budgets.

This place is really great especially in a neighborhood that’s lacking cafes and bars of the sort. I only stayed nearby for a night and wish I could pack it up and take it with me!

Very cool spot to grab morning coffees and baked goods or come for apres at night. Croissants and cappuccino were great and decor is on point for a ski town. This was my go to spot while staying in La Praz!

We were here before the beginning of Happy Hours on a Sunday, and the place is popping! They have a few tables on the side of the road, and they are very popular seats. Inside decoration is pop + mountain sports photos, quite nice! Their drinks are reasonably priced, staff is friendly. I just wish they have more snacks or finger food on the menu, in addition to 3 kinds of paninis.

Great atmosphere , good for a beer at the end of your day on the mountains, but, hey if i come hungry at 16.30-17 you can’t tell me it is too early to have anything else than popcorns

Awesome little bar and a great value happy hour (€4 a pint). Lovely staff and great food too. Highly recommended and so much better than some of a faceless bars down in town.

We love it here at The Office, popped in a few times during our stat in Argentiere, food was always excellent, lots of beers to choose from and good wines and cocktails. Service always friendly and quick. Good for apres ski too. Love the doggys too!

Went for Happy hour. Although it looked great, I did not have anything from happy hour menu because I LOVED their tap beer selection. Sweet potato fries and chicken fingers are fresh and tasty too.

Trendy place right in the heart of town, perfect for a satiating lunch after a TMB hike. The menu is varied and suitable for people with dietary preferences. We ordered a poké bowl and a vegan burger and they were both delicious. Service was great and food arrived quickly. Highly recommend.

This was the best restaurant I've been to in a while. We were a group of 8 people and I tried everything that everyone bought. The burger, aubergine Parm, fish taco, shrimp taco we're all amazing. The salad and fries that came with my burger were also so good. This was the best food I had on my trip. Genuinely had such a good time.

The male server with tattoos was rude (after reading the petty replies to reviews I understand better). Unfortunately this encounter changed our perspective on the restaurant. The female servers were very friendly, had enjoyable music, and the burgers were good after a long hike. But wouldn’t support again.

The stunning mountain view from the balcony made our mornings truly magical. While both balconies were lovely, we particularly enjoyed the one overlooking the icy river, providing a refreshing cool breeze on hot days. Visiting in September, we appreciated having brought along our sweatshirts for the occasional chilly moments, despite the sunny weather. The porcini fondue was an absolute delight, and I highly recommend ordering it for a group of 3-4 people; it was generously portioned and incredibly satisfying.

I ended up eating here twice during my trip! I had the French onion soup, the pasta/bacon dish (can’t remember the exact name) and the Baked Alaska for desert. I also had the Limoncello Spritz to drink. All were delicious and the place is gorgeous!

Amazing atmosphere at Rose Dupont in Chamonix, with a retro yet modern vibe that truly feels like Café Pouchkine in Moscow. The sauerkraut, which was the daily special, was absolutely incredible, and the prices are very reasonable. The service was excellent! Definitely a place worth remembering.

Some of the software very amazing and very welcoming others not much. The café is really big. It has enduring outdoor seating areas. It is a fascinating the decor is nice and we had a desert there. Many of the desert weren’t available at the time so we chose Only to their coffee is good so we had two desserts and two coffees. for about 40€ we enjoyed our experience

Very pretty place. Stopped in for lunch had a ham sandwich under snack category that was huge! Cheese platter was nice and wife enjoyed the French soup.

The restaurant has a beautiful location, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I ordered the entrecôte steak, and it was the worst I’ve ever had — the meat was extremely thick, and I couldn’t eat more than two small bites. The salad also had an excessive amount of mustard sauce, making it inedible. The only thing I was able to enjoy from the entire meal was the Coke. I will not be returning, though perhaps other dishes are better. I still wish them success.

One of the best hotel experiences i have ever had. Its out of a story book. Picture Beauty and the beast coming to life. The staff was great, the grounds are spectacular. There are fruit trees, indoor outdoor pool, 360 views of the mountains. The hotel is right in the heart of town. I could go on and on for days if you are even remotely thinking about booking a place I can't say enough great things not only about the hotel but the town and people of Chamonix!!

What a beautiful and charming hotel in the lovely Chamonix! We loved the cozy wood cabin feel, adorned with vibrant flowers—such a special experience for us city dwellers. The attention to detail and the care the staff put into keeping everything immaculate truly impressed us. We especially appreciated the hotel shuttle service, which made getting to and from the train stations and the Aiguille du Midi cable car seamless. Our driver even made sure we boarded the correct train for our next journey—above and beyond! Our little one had a great time at the small playground by the entrance. Both on-site restaurants—including the Michelin-starred one—were exceptional. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and delicious, served in a lovely garden setting. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of apples available in the lounge throughout the day—we happen to love apples!

They just can’t do enough for you, what lovely staff. Presents at check-in, check-out, the rarified pillow chocolate. Wahoo The rooms are a little small and perhaps not the comfiest bed of my life, but nicely decorated and modern. The breakfast spread doesn’t look huge and so we were a bit stingy and didn’t fork out the €34 each. Don’t forget that omelettes are an extra too… Would come again but maybe not pay some of the mega high prices in peak season P.S. they do offer a shuttle to the ski station if you’re worried it’s too far away. It’s a pretty big hill anyway so you’d want that from any hotel

It’s rare to find a hotel that checks every box but this one is it. We had an absolutely incredible stay here. The service is impeccable and the grounds, spa and pool are so so lovely. If we ever come back there’s no question we’ll be staying here again.

We stayed here twice - each end of our TMB hike. The attention to detail, food and service is superb. We highly recommend the summer outdoor dining and the breakfast.

just unbelievable. i have stayed at a LOT of hotels and honestly this is up there with the best of the best. our room had the most STUNNING window view of mont blanc to wake up to every morning, was so, so clean and well laid out and had a HUGE bathroom with tub and shower. we were in the more modern of the hotels, and from check in to check out it was just an absolute five star experience. the grounds are probably the nicest i've ever seen at a hotel, between the gardens, the blooms, the bees and the pool area. it's perfectly tucked away off the main road so everything in Chamonix is close but when we would come home at night it felt private and quiet. service was astounding. simply cannot say enough good things and cannot wait to be back!

An experience to grab lunch 3,842 meters high! We spent quite some time on top of Aiguille du Midi so it was only right we reserved a table to eat while on the mountain. The space is small and they fill up quickly so you’ll need to make reservations beforehand. My husband ordered a local beer and I got a red wine. We did the soup, meal and dessert combo, and very much enjoyed everything.

We had an unforgettable experience at this restaurant! We enjoyed a three-course meal – from the starter to the dessert – and everything was absolutely outstanding. The beef and lamb dishes were especially remarkable: tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The service was both professional and warm, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The setting itself is simply breathtaking – to savor such high-quality cuisine at 3842 meters altitude, on a mountaintop, is beyond words. We were truly amazed that food could be this delicious in such a location. A heartfelt thank you for this wonderful experience! Definitely 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very very dirty tables and actually the entire facility on the cafétéria area! My jacket sticked to the table when I laid my arms on it. Sales lady was bored and unfriendly. We asked info about some products and she was just adding them to the bill without answering us. They can't serve a cake on a plate with proper cutlery or hot drinks on a proper mug. Everything is disgusting and dirty!! La tarte (cake) was served on a napkin with a very fragile wooden spoon, impossible to be used. Take some hospitality lessons from your Swiss neighbors! Prices as in Switzerland.

These French fries were amazing and the thought that I could just comfortably eat them while looking around Mont Blanc was incredible.

Despite our expectation that restaurants on this altitude usually offers more of the view than the quality of the food, we were blown away by how superb the food was. You must order a combination of courses in this restaurant, either 2 course or 3 course, at an understandably higher price. We ordered two sets of 2-course meal and paid around 90+ Euro plus one normal drink. Went for 1 starter, 2 main course and 1 dessert. The local snails plus the sauce were excellent, while the veal was one of the best we ever tasted. The fish was also fresh and the apple pie with ice cream was just the perfect finishing touch. The quality of this restaurant is one of the best I've tasted and if you're visiting Aiguille du Midi, you must visit this restaurant both for the experience and food. Service was also excellent. Loved it.

We had lunch here and it was absolutely amazing. The food was made with local ingredients & recipes and very delicious. Our server was so wonderful. He made our day even more joyful. Merci beaucoup!!!

It may be expensive but totally worth it if you can afford it. The views alone are worth it but the facilities at the top are fantastic too and the cable cars are brilliant . We thought 2 hours at the top would be too long but it turned out to be not enough time and we wished we'd had another half an hour. It was around €62 return for adults and €52 for a child. Well organised system with time slots for the cable cars rather than having to stand in massive queues. Lots of different look out points in all directions at different heights, educational areas, a little cafe, souvenir shop. You can walk out into a glass box suspended over a drop off which is very cool if you're not afraid of heights! Loads of mountaineers to watch, they're crazy!

Excellent place to have a bite before or after going into the mountain. They have good wine list and wines by the glass, very sophisticated and tasty dishes. The service is also remarkable, the only disadvantage is that the meat dishes take long so if you are in a rush you can’t have them. I will definitely go back

We really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere here. The dishes were well-prepared and flavorful, the setting was cozy and elegant. One of the highlights for me was the extensive wine menu, offering plenty of great options. Overall, a nice place for a good meal and a relaxed evening.

We spent a nice evening there. The cocktails were delicious and the 3 course meal comes at a reasonable price of 57 Euros. The octopus risotto is the only dish that needs a bit of improvement. It tasted like rice with a very slight note of parmesan and not like a risotto.

The evening was amazing and the food was excellent (each and every part of it). The wine pairing was good, and the service was professional and very nice. We do want to see this place getting a Michelin star, so there a few *small* things you may want to consider to get there: 1. The table was not cleaned throughout the dinner, so it was gradually getting harder to eat across the crumbs and the food leftovers. 2. The soda and water is free. That's awesome. The food was good. The service was ok. The atmosphere was above average. Not sure if the restaurant is worth the price.

We had a terrible meal here. I’m uncertain how anyone would give this place a good review or why. While the place has nice atmosphere and the food looked pretty, the service and food flavor were very lacking. We had drinks, squash appetiser, foie gras, the boeuf (supposed to be filet but didn’t taste like it), scallops and slow cooked pork. The drinks tasted like they had no alcohol and were not well prepared. We asked for a replacement, and even straight whiskey tasted watered down. They charged us for the drinks that we sent back. The squash app and foie gras were tasteless. No seasoning or flavor. The filet didn’t taste like filet. It was poorly cooked not to temp, the flavor and texture were not consistent with filet. The slow cooked pork was not flavorful nor tenter as promised. The scallops were ok but very under seasoned. Even dessert was a miss - had a strange flavour and we didn’t finish. On top the service was not good at all. In the end when I was asked if we liked our meal and said no, the waiter said “so it was good”. The only good thing here was the sourdough bread. Payed and left as it wasn’t worth my time to argue. We are foodies and have eaten all over the world and this was the worst meal we had in all Chamonix. Strong suggestion to avoid and we will not return.

A must-try for the true French Alps experience! We had a wonderful, hearty meal in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. We ordered 'Le Menu du Skieur', which comes with the 'Gratin de Crozets' and a dessert of your choice. It’s amazing value, and we would definitely recommend it! The service was friendly, and the whole experience felt authentic and special. Be sure to book in advance because it's quite popular!

An absolute must if you are visiting Chamonix Valley! A quaint restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. Prices are very reasonable. We went in March and asked our concierge at the hotel to help with a reservation. Just a short hike from Pierre a Ric (see map). This is truly such a special place.

It's such an amazing experience skiing through the woods to arrive at La Cremery. Enjoyed a wonderful meal in a cozy atmosphere! Second time here in three years. Worth the trip!

Amazing homestyle French meal that is perfect after a morning of skiing! We went for lunch and everything was amazing. They had one of the best tarte au citrons I have ever had. I do recommend making a reservation in advance (even just for lunch!) but this is one of my favorite spots.

This place is run by a charming boss as a professional four-person team. I ordered an alcohol-free cucumber cocktail on the recommendation from the smallest boss and an American coffee. One of the guys quickly fixed my drinks while I fell asleep on the sofa outside. As I woke up another one of the guys had charged my phone to 45% from almost dead. An amazing, cute place to stop for lunch, drinks, dinner or they do really reasonable overnight stays Inc food! The view was put of this world. And beer was so reasonable at only €7. Half way down on the walk back from Mer de Glace. Much appreciated! Suggest to to train up like we did and walk back down! 2hrs.

This is a wonderfull cafe driven by passionate people with a mission to make you feel the mountains. With the great hospitality and authentic and tastefull food, this place is a MUST stop over to and from the glacier Mer du glace. What few people know is that you can actually stay the night here…as the only one!!! Soléne and David rents out a Dome with a wonderful view to the stars and mountains. They serve you wonderful drinks, appetizers, great dinner and a nice breakfast, while you sit one their exelence terrasse and enjoy the view and the silence. The food, while decent, didn't quite match the extraordinary setting. However, the exceptional service more than made up for it. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. The atmosphere at Montenvers is truly remarkable, combining natural beauty with a welcoming ambiance. It's an ideal spot for a memorable meal. Overall, I highly recommend Montenvers Restaurant and look forward to returning. Perfect background and service and delicious food. Really don’t understand people giving poor reviews to this beautiful place. Obviously such a magnificent location plus amazing service and super delicious authentic specialties are not good enough for them.

I was honestly not expecting much, food or coffee-wise in establishments near touristy areas but since the views from this café was absolutely stunning, i went ahead and took a bite. €5 for a subpar hot chocolate was what I got. There's not much else to it, but if you're coming to take in the scenery for the first time, at the end of the day, it's not all that bad.

After a quick look at the ice cave, lunch at this restaurant. Superb lunch with Gluten Free options, superb service and just an all round great place to visit. Food quality was superb…superlatives won’t do it justice. Thanks for a wonderful lunch with breath taking views.

Expectacular experience in the middle of the mountains! The food was absolutely delicious, we had the Tartiflette and a sausage dish, both were so good! The views are to die for and the staff very friendly. Would recommend to anyone who takes the train to Montenvers, the experience is very much worth it!

I don't understand the previous reviews. Regarding the restaurant, the location and the services, everything was okay. I took the complete fondue, and the portion was huge, even though with the bread it was not possible to finish the plate. It was for luch with a huge appetite ! The prices were not too bad, and with the view, the waiter, no problem to come and eat again next time we are there.

Not sure why it has such bad review - we received a fabulous service and delicious food. Great for people with food restrictions like gluten or lactose intolerance. One star minus is for the plastic dishes that are used instead of nice ceramic ones / they even sell ceramic pots. We would come again.

It gives me no pleasure to leave this review after previously giving this restaurant 5 stars. I live locally and visited this place probably 30+ times. Here are the problems: 1. It seems like no matter how often or what time you visit, the owners are *always* rushing you out the door. They will begin reminding you that they are closing sometimes over an hour before actual closing time. This is a baffling business strategy and does not encourage you to feel welcome or comfortable. Always a sense that they want you to leave quickly, even when they are friendly on the surface. 2. Food portions are laughably small for the price and the fact everything is premade and in cartons. If you are vegetarian, good luck with protein. They include two tiny strips of tofu that probably cost them 20 cents, add a bit of rice, and charge you 15 euros. 3. They charge more than nearby cafes for coffee, yet the espresso is from a keurig cup instant coffee type machine. Their parents, who also work here, are incredibly lovely, as are the location and design of the place. It's a shame they opt to charge a lot for a little and are so intent on closing and running out of the store all the time. This could have been the best spot in Chamonix...

Loved everything about this organic restaurant in Chamonix, from the Matcha milkshake, to the Indian French fusion lunch, to the cute patio. Did not share the experience of other reviewers and highly recommend this lovely spot.

Nice terrace and quiet location but shocked by the rudeness of the owner shouting at her personnel for something stupid😊The coffee didn’t taste good at all so left our drinks and went somewhere else.

Good croissants and pain au chocolat....a large array of pastries, quiches, and bread. The outdoor seating was fantastic. Coffee was good, but I was disappointed that it was served in a paper cup and not a proper coffee mug...the staff was nice and friendly..

We visited this pastery/bakery maybe 5x during our stay in Chamonix. You can take your meal outside and enjoy the view on Blanc massive. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Avoid this place at any cost. There are better places around where they welcome people wanting to spend their money. There is an elderly lady who has an issue if you don’t speak French, going around agitated when you ask more than one thing and you do that in a different language. We bought 50€ worth food, that wasn’t appreciated. This is quite sad taking into account Chamonix is full of tourists.

The coffee was good, but the service was a bit disappointing. When I went to order again, two people skipped the line and the staff served them without noticing that I was already waiting. The staff should pay more attention to the queue.

Had an excellent eclair and croissant here for tea. Plenty of outdoor seating. Good service.

We had a lovely lunch here this week, the service was outstanding, as was the food. We sat outside on the terrace, which is a lovely sun trap. We were surprised it was so quiet, whilst the food was a little pricey, it was worth it. We would thoroughly recommend the roast chicken to share. We will definitely go back. The terrace is very large - we were a large group so this was great. I feel Maison Drus can do something with the external space to make it feel more intimate. They have done an amazing job with La Bergerie and L'adret, we look forward to many more visits.

This is a great restaurant for a lunch while you are skiing. The food is superb and the views of the mountains are unmistakable. The service on a busy Saturday was a little slow but understandably so. We made reservations for the restaurant so our table was ready and we were able to stay quite a while. There is also a cafeteria line and I can't review that.

I don’t often leave reviews, even less so for a mountain restaurant at a ski resort! However, I was so impressed by Plan Joran that I felt obliged to mention it. The place is spacious, has a properly rustic vibe and (on a more trivial note) plays great tunes. I’ve been to most of the well-known ski resorts in Switzerland, Austria and France, and this restaurant was easily one of the best.

The place is really cool and nice to enjoy nice lunch in the slopes. A shame service is really bad, they forgot many times what we ordered, food came late and the got confused many times. Food was nice, but a bit expensive for what It is. We ordered: - Onion soup, this one was really good and Big portion. - Burger Joran - Pork - French fried If it's a Sunny day, ask for a table all over the sun, our table was half shadow-half Sun.

Pretty pricey for inconsistent food. Staff were very friendly but didn’t see them much. The shepherds pie was weird as it had nothing to do with shepherds pie and was about two bites of food for 40 euros a plate. Fondue was good and cute in a bread bowl but it just burns the bread. Terrace was beautiful.

We sat for table service at Plan Joran and the food was outstanding. As a large group of 13 people, the waiter Morgan, assisted us with our wine choices and offered recommendations based on the choice of dish. A great spot on Grand Montets and would highly recommend a visit. I rang the day before to book.

We arrived here after a long drive from Florence, Italy. We were tired and hungry and were offered a lovely table in the sunshine. Sadly the dish of the moment was finished and so being Easter Sunday we asked if they had any lamb. They brought us pulled lamb burgers with sweet potato fries. Really lovely and reasonably priced. So glad to have found this place and will return again. Highly recommended.

We discovered L’Alt by accident on our way to Montreux when we stopped for a quick break around lunchtime. What a delightful surprise. Staff was so welcoming and kind, and the food was amazing and very fresh and came quickly even though it was busy. Lots of options on the menu too. Wish we could stay longer to visit again for breakfast!!!

Great place with vegan and glutten free options, in which you can also eat tasty meat dishes. Nice atmosphere, tasty coffee and drinks too, plus it is close to the centre. Highly recommend if you're a group of friends with various food needs. Portions are designed in a way that you will surely fit a dessert. Taking off one star because of service person farted shortly before approaching us and that lowered the overall olfactory impression of this place, even after few days of TMB.

The vibe of this place is super chill. Very much chalet vibes with the option of super healthy food. I didn't get anything to eat but I got some fresh juice and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was really sweet and it didn't take too long to get what we ordered. The seating was comfortable and I saw some folks working here too. I would recommend this place for sure.

Breathtaking view of the Glacier d'Argentiere from the refuge. Tranquil refuge with bedrooms rather than a dormitory. We spent some.magoc monets here on the terrace enjoying the waterfalls, distant chamois, and glacier creaking away in the blue icy massiveness.

Great little chalet...limited menu (primarily croque Madame) but that’s almost the way you want it. When it’s busy season, definitely recommend calling in advance and trying to make a reso. They serve wine “as you drink” (ie they give you a bottle but they only charge you for what you drink out of it). From Canada, this was a new concept so good to know!

This was the place to go during our snoaboarding holiday with the kids. There was plenty of food choice and freshly made, but everything was at eye watering prices. The food we tried was good but tiny portions at astronomic prices (e.g, the fish in the fish and chips was like for children menu) It was during a school holiday so it was hectic but the staff was lovely and the atmosphere was amazing. Don't spend €4.50 on a bottle of still water, there is a water tap in the back and glasses to help yourself.

Extremely expensive place. They use their monopoly to set very high prices while providing poor quality food and drinks. The only good point is that they have a very nice view on the domain, but I would not recommend eating there

Self Service… but still a very expensive place. French Fries 12 €, Coke 0,33 l 5,50 €, Aperol Spritz 14 € etc… Very average or even poor quality of food & drinks. Despite the self service and high prices there was a long queue. And the waiter on the terrasse was extreme rude & unfriendly. They have a very nice view, but apart from this unfortunately I wouldn‘t recommend this place.

Ski Resort Self-Service: Average Food at Premium Prices Located right on the slopes, charamillon offers skiers a self-service option for a quick lunch break. The food is okay – it fills you up after a morning of skiing, with a few classic French options on the menu. The real kicker here is the cost. You’re looking at dropping over €30 per person if you plan to grab a drink and share a dessert with your meal. It’s a steep price for food that’s just fine, especially considering it’s a self-serve place. Overall, Charamlion is a convenient stop for a meal between runs, but you’re paying more for the location and convenience than the quality of the food. If you don’t mind the high prices, it’s a straightforward choice for refueling before getting back out on the snow.

Truly terrible. €130 for 1 pizza, 3 chilli and spaghetti bolognese. 5 beers. Awful food. A depressing experience.

This place had the potential to be amazing but unfortunately fell short. The menu is nice, although quite pricey considering you have to add potatoes or a sausage for 5 euros each. We got the savoury pancakes and the Benedict. The pancakes were burnt black, but thankfully they did replace them when we mentioned it. The Benedict had great potential, but unfortunately the eggs were cold and essentially hard boiled and overcooked. There was also essentially no hollondaise sauce (which is the reason why you order Benedict…) the sauce there was was frothy and white and essentially evaporated after a minute of being served. The service was good and there were many good elements of the restaurant. Potentially just an off day, the rating of 3 stars reflects our experience on the day.

Great spot for a lovely brunch with lots of choice. We had a range of the scrambled eggs, French toast and granola yoghurt all was beautiful. The coffee was great and lady serving was super friendly.

You stand there for 10 minute while the waitress walked by you multiple times ignoring your presence. Couple of french swoop in and the waitress immediately spoke to them and gave them a table. And after you try your best to get the waitress’ attention, she say they can’t accommodate you without a reservation while they are multiple empty seats. And you go to their booking website and the exact time slots are still available.🤮 go somewhere else where they don’t treat you like a pest. Extra info: seems like the defensive owners even criticize past reviewers who had an unpleasant experience 😂

Delicious and very reasonably priced modern Asian street food. Inventive flavors and fresh ingredients in the salmon ceviche bowl and superb ‘special’ rice bowl. A very good slightly smoky Paloma and nice selection of good beers. Simple outdoor seating. Extremely well curated music, including some classic reggae. Friendly, authentic staff. This quickly became our favourite place in Chamonix. The views of mountains, the glacier and Mont Blanc were spectacular, and the food was far better than it had any right to be for a small outside shack! The pork tacos were stunning. If you want a relaxed outside bar with great views, service, food, and atmosphere then this ticks all the boxes.

We went there for a bite around 3:30pm. The avocado toast was the worst quality and taste I've ever had. The poached egg on top was cold from the fridge and still had parts of the shell on it! Coffee was so so, the signature smoothie was fresh and good. The upstairs is quite nice. Overall, not worth the price but maybe the drinks are better than the food!

We were recommended this place by tourist information for good coffee and a space to work for a little while.. unfortunately the barista must have been having a bad day as we were greeted with 'We are not a library', before we even had a chance to order. We took her advice and went to the library - it was very nice and she saved us some money too. 5 stars for advice, 0 stars for service.

Hidden in the retail section of the hotel. We ate here twice during our stay in Chamonix. They have amazing selections for gluten free. The salads are amazing and the bakery items were delicious. Truly an amazing find. There are tables out front and some in their loft.

I wish I spent more time at Brev'Bar. Good coffee in astonishing surroundings tastes like from another world. There are enough chairs if you show up early in the morning. At noon this place is crowded ( no surprise). Black coffee is for 3.10 €.

Handy place for a water break and a sunbathe (I went in fine march weather). Playing decent tunes. Pizza looked decent. Top tio: Take the lift behind the bar (view side) down to the toilet.

I went to BrevBar today and stood in line for almost an hour and when I got to the front to order (they served the person before me), I was told they were closing. I understand that it was 5 PM and they had to close, but it would’ve been nice to know before so I didn’t have to waste an hour in line. Apparently one of the workers was supposed to inform the people in line but they didn’t do it. Not only that, but the line moves so slow. I do not recommend it.

Nice bar at the Brévent... Always full of people, especially when it's sunny... The view is great, you look at Mont Blanc...Music and atmosphere is very good... The service is little slow, people stay in a row and wait... They have only one pizza Margarita but it's taste and delicious ...Drink and food are little overpriced but ok you are at mountain bar... All recommendations for visit and take some drink and do some photos if you are in Chamonix

It is not everyday that one has lunch while staring at the highest peak in the Alps. I won't say much about the food. Just grab something from the menu, maybe a sandwich, grab a good table and enjoy the moment.

We only ordered drinks and cookies. Surrounded by beautiful views, can’t be any better. Bring your fluffy friend along!

The room was compact but clean and offered a beautiful view of the glacier (3rd floor), a definite highlight. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay didn’t live up to the same standard. The hotel’s interior shows signs of age and wear. While still functional, it’s evident that upkeep has been neglected. It feel tired and overused. Food was the biggest disappointment. Dinner consisted only of deep-fried items that tasted overwhelmingly like old oil. The steak was minuscule, dry, and seemed like it had been reheated from frozen. Even after voicing concerns, no alternatives were provided. Breakfast wasn’t any better—powdered scrambled eggs, low-grade juices, and lackluster English breakfast options made us wish we’d eaten elsewhere. As for parking, the garage is cramped and a challenge for standard-sized vehicles. At €24 per night, it’s pricey for the inconvenience.

Awesome hotel. Super convenient location. Easy walk to lifts, shopping, dining, etc. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great staff, very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Very kid friendly. They have games and places to hangout in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Plan B on our road trip round France. Car parking was 200 - 300m away, however we could park at the hotel to drop off luggage. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc from our balcony. Breakfast in the hotel was good with enough choice for setting us up for the day. The location is excellent, well within walking distance to everything, restaurants, shops, lifts etc. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Chamonix, and we would happily stay there again. Finally, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great location. Comfortable room. Breakfast was not very good. My opinion is the food not kept fresh and flies allowed to land on open jars of dried fruit. The staff working in the dining area seemed to be slow to acknowledge guests and were not looking to check the food and finer details of the dining and serving areas.

We recently hosted my partner’s 40th birthday party at Plan B, and I can’t recommend this place enough! From the planning to the celebration night, the team went above and beyond to make the party unforgettable. The staff were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and genuinely kind—nothing ever felt like too much to ask. On the night of the event, the service was fantastic and the team worked behind the scenes with such professionalism that everything just flowed. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious, and the whole atmosphere made everyone feel at home while still being something truly special. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for helping us create such meaningful memories. We’re already looking for an excuse to come back!

The location of PlanB is great, not far from the cable car station. We had a wonderful night here. The service from the front desk and the restaurant staff was excellent—they even helped us prepare a birthday surprise. The food and the cake at the restaurant were also amazing.

Less than 1 star I give!!! Incredibly bad service and food (well if I can call the thing that I ate «food»). Bad impression started from the beginning. There was a waiting line and there was a French man in front of me, he liked to talk to the young lady the cashier, and their talk was continuing during like 5 min! He already paid and was continuing to chat with her and I was waiting behind. Seemed like she liked it so she didn’t even care that I was just waiting. I went to this place only because it was the closest one to the Aiguille du Midi lift, during my waiting time. They perfectly know they will have clients (tourists only) all year long so they don’t care at all about quality of service! Then it was finally my time to order and I took an «egg sandwich», I asked it hot so the same lady put it on the paper and then inside the oven. Surprisingly the fire started!!! She took it out, there was already an open fire in the room and she started to scream. Some colleagues came to help and somehow they stopped the fire. Then (no surprise) they just gave me that sandwich that was on fire. When I tried it I couldn’t believe someone could prepare it, seems like that person has big problems with his/her taste buds. Inside there was a disgusting mix of mayonnaise and ketchup, all with egg and bad quality bread. I went to the same lady to let her know that the taste was disgusting. And you know what she said? She just said «oh yes I know». No sorry, nothing. This place really spoiled my impression from Chamonix village. If you don’t want to have the same experience just don’t go there, better to stay hungry.

It’s mostly set up for takeaway, but a nice deck is available for warm weather dining. The smaller indoor space seemed large enough for the smaller shoulder season crowd. Local bakery with a good choice of quiches, sandwiches, pastries. Grab a seat at the window :-) The quiche I had for lunch was good. The general selection could have some more healthy offers in my opinion, especially in the warmer months (because cheesy and fatty foods are great during winter in the mountains, so no complaints there!)

After the hike to this cable car, hunger was calling. And oh my what a lucky find. We had a great meal of Red mullet with risotto and vegetables….it was superb, truly. With a couple of glasses of pouilly fume white wine and a delisch chocolate delight of some sort. So great hike and great lunch and one which if you ask carefully will cater for gluten free options.

French culture and cuisine are like a north korean parade, everyone has to pay respect to all the big rockets. In reality all rockets are made of wood. This restaurant exemplifies this nicely.

Easy accessible from the main cable car up into Argentiere ski area. Good choice of drinks and food and about the only one serving a good sized coffee! The food looked and smelled good but alas we didn't try any. There are WCs around the back which are clean however not all we're functioning and others had no seats on in the ladies at least. Could do with emptying the waste bins in the cubicles a little more often and topping up loo roll, soap and hand towels.

Truly a GEM in Chamonix!! We came for the apple pie and ended up having not only dessert, but also lunch, coffee and a whole wonderful afternoon on the sunny terasse. The hike, the resulting view and all the dishes we tried were simply fantastic - you can feel that the chef enjoys their craft every bit of the way. Jessica lights up the place with her hospitality, smile and positive energy - thank you for a great time!! 100% worth a visit :) Note: As much as card payment is not accepted you have the option to pay with PayPal or other options, which definitely did the trick for us.

After a strenuous hike, whether it's a brief jaunt or a lengthy trek, with kids in tow or solo, you'd naturally expect to find a spot on the trail where you can grab a bite or a drink. But forget that at this place—every table is booked! Can you believe you actually need reservations for a table on a hiking trail? I've visited twice, each time about a half-hour apart, only to find the "reserved" tables perpetually unoccupied. This establishment clearly doesn't value its customers. Your hard-earned money is better spent elsewhere, at a place that genuinely appreciates its patrons.

We stopped by during our short hike. This cottage is really really expensive for no reason. We visited many cottages all over the alps including those who get their delivery by helicopter and none was more expensive. 19€ for a bread baked with cheese? Wow! In addition we were told we can only have cake when we eat a main dish, even though it was on the menu,???. Not to recommend.

Specialty coffee shop tucked in downtown Chamonix. It is such a treat to have one so close to where I was staying. I had the Cortado, which came with the perfect bite of brownie. There is a bit of seating, and some food options. No wifi when I went. Overall I felt the atmosphere and the coffee was really well done.

Tried the Americano and cauliflower sandwich, which was a great lunch. Enjoyed it so much I went back the next day for breakfast! Cannot beat the views upstairs, and all of the staff was wonderful 🙂

Oh dear. What a disappointment. New management since 5 days ago - the lovely couple has gone and enthusiastic young people have taken over. After coming here for years almost daily for salads, bagels and wraps, we ordered the Mexican wrap. Instead of the advertised ‘guacamole, cream and salsa’ we got some sort of tasteless green creamy sauce, and the salsa was replaced with sweet-sour Thai sauce from a bottle. When I went back to give my frankly awful wrap back and let them know why, I was met with a shrug and an explanation that they were ‘finishing off the stock from the previous owners while waiting for their stock’. No apology or refund offered. I always want to support young entrepreneurs and might come again but I would expect much, much better.

The smoothies are just small cups of juices from the bottle with ice. The bottle probably costed 2€ for 1 liter, but they sell one extremely small glass for 5.5€. Really really expensive for nothing…

We came from a bad experience in La Folie Douce Hôtels just because we had a small dog with us, and in Irish Coffee they accepted us immediately, gave us a table, lowered the music and even changed it when we asked, offered water to our dog and brought the food very quickly and hot. And yes, I made the journey again — this time with my wife — and it absolutely lived up to the memory. No regrets. Already planning another stop next time I’m in the area. Small heads-up: there's no public Wi-Fi, which didn’t bother me but worth knowing in advance if you’re planning to work from here. Personally, it added to the charm — more time to disconnect and enjoy the moment. Can’t wait to return. This place is a gem.
