Munchie, located on the Route du Moulin strip in the center of Chamonix, is a popular restaurant known for its inventive and diverse dishes with a Swedish-run but strong Asian influence. The menu offers options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, with several vegetarian dishes available that are usually suitable for vegans due to the limited use of dairy. The staff is helpful and can assist in identifying any hidden ingredients commonly found in Asian cuisine.
We had 8 in our party and after a long hike, we were hungry and ready to explore some fun cuisine. We scored at Munchies. We were able to enjoy many dishes, sharing them all. Our food was tasty and beautifully presented - hot as well. We had the house wine which was also good and reasonable. Definitely a score! We were hungry and forgot to take the pic before devouring the dish! Our waiters, Adam and Daniel, were fun. Also a fun location along ‘foodie” alley in Chamonix.

Disappointing service. The restaurant was completely empty, yet they refused my request for a comfortable chair and insisted I sit at a high bar chair. After I left, they said “hope to see you again” I found that quite disrespectful given how I was treated
Shrmip 7 — Google review
Came here on a Tuesday evening and had a lovely meal. The food was incredible, particularly the tempura prawn maki (which we all agreed we could’ve eaten more of!) and the cauliflower. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. Our waiter was lovely and we couldn’t fault the demeanour of the servers. However, we did have to ask for a drink twice and waited a long time to receive them. Also, we had to wait a while for food which wasn’t an issue for us as we had a leisurely meal, but it might be for some. It seems like the management need to hire more servers as they looked run off their feet. Overall, we had a lovely meal and would definitely return.

We have chosen this restaurant for our family dinner. The restaurant has small rooms and subdued lighting. The proximity of the tables and the somewhat cramped atmosphere create the feeling of a casual home gathering. We ordered three different main courses: classic duck teriyaki, tuna tartare and Korean-style fried chicken. We unanimously liked them. Then we chose three different desserts. Personally, I liked the mochi with a sprig of fresh red currants. There is a rather large selection of wine, but only one type of druft beer. Freindly, warm ambience and delicious dishes to savor.
Inna G — Google review
Fantastic food! Every item we got was delicious. Highly recommend the cauliflower and the cucumber starters. Such amazing flavour combinations, a nice change from the traditional foods of Chamonix
Cassidy W — Google review
Food was great (tasty enough for us to dine here twice on our holiday) we tried 6 dishes over 2 nights all great. The thing that let's this place down is the service we found it to be friendly at times then completely rude/dismissive which is quite off putting when paying good money to dine somewhere.....
Tracey-Lee S — Google review
More a snack bar vibe, ordering 2-3 dishes per person to share is the best option. Unique fusion on Asian cuisine. However, I felt that I would not need to return after one visit. Service was quick despite it being very busy. I’d recommend making a reservation if you can, especially if you are more than two persons.
Kimberly S — Google review
We had been recommended this place and also saw it on a couple of food blogs and glad that we made it. Delicious Asian fusion food - we were a group of 4 and tried 8-10 small plates and they were all awesome! Special call out to the lamb gyoza, mushroom ravioli. Lastly fantastic service too - the team were warm and helpful! Price point was not cheap, but would still classify as good value for money - not at all a tourist trap. Highly recommended!

MUMMA, located at 31 Rue Whymper in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, offers a moody and contemporary setting where you can enjoy thoughtfully plated Pan-Asian fusion dishes and innovative cocktails. The restaurant is known for its interesting and unique dishes. If you're looking for takeout Mediterranean food, ELA is highly recommended. For pastries and baguette/cheese sandwiches, Nicholas is a popular choice.
Fantastic and creative fusion, surprising tastes palletes in every bite. We were a group of 4 (one vegetarian) and shared almost the whole menu. It was delightful and the cocktails were top notch. Better to book a table in advance.

One of the best restaurants in Chamonix! The food is amazing. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The interior is beautifully simplistic, modern and cozy. They have a great selection of small plates to share. We love the beef lettuce wraps and crab rice balls! They were very delicious! The wok vegetables are so good! The veggies were cooked to perfection with a wok taste. Those are our favourites. They are also a dog-friendly restaurant, which we absolutely love. We were too full to have dessert, but they have several that sounded really good.
Ivon L — Google review
This place was SO good that we dined here two days in a row. Every single dish was a hit - perfect understanding of balance of flavours. Spice was never not accompanied by a fattiness or creaminess. Sweetness never not accompanied by tartness. And the texture - oh. The contrast of soft with crispness was absolutely perfect in every dish. Typically I hate Asian fusion but this place manages to deliver. 10/10 absolutely best restaurant in the entire Chamonix. We pretty much had the entire menu over two nights. Come at 6.20pm and get in the queue. So worth it.
Isabelle L — Google review
Best restaurant in Chamonix 🍸🌶 Open plan kitchen, dim lighting & modern decor. Great food, crab balls will always be my favourite and they are a must dish! I recently had the fish with the smokey sauce and ramen egg and it was incredible. Attentive service with French and English speaking staff who are knowledgeable and very friendly. Wine selection is of high standard and you can't come without trying at least one cocktail. They are flavourful, complex and delicious. 5 stars every time I go! Its a must in chamonix and a perfect venue for date nights.
CoopsAUS — Google review
A nice break from the classic mountain food, MUMMA offers more upscale Asian food with interesting and unexpected flavors combination. Portion size was quite good too compared to similar restaurants. The tomato salad, the fish tartare and the mackerel fish were our highlight. Cocktails were also really good. Service was really nice, they even accommodated my hearing issue. Don’t forget to make a reservation.
Thomas A — Google review
Very cool restaurant for those who are sick of fondue / raclette. The idea is you order several Asian inspired "smaller" plates and some sides, which you share. We enjoyed every single one of them - even the pure veggie ones were unique and elevated. Our favorites were the karaage which comes with a pate (French twist!), the harissa carrots and the beef tataki. For sides, I would highly recommend the Mumma special rice and veggie wok. We also tried all three desserts, which were all pretty good but I would have rather had more of their savory dishes to be honest. The service was great and their is a fun vibe there. If you have to wait for a table, there is a beer garden right next door (same owners) where you can have a drink and they'll come get you when your table is ready. Service was very friendly.
James R — Google review
✨ An absolute delight in the heart of Chamonix! ✨ If mountains could cook, they would do it like Mumma. Every dish, from starters to desserts is an explosion of flavors you won’t forget. Each plate feels like a small adventure: bold, unexpected, and deeply comforting at the same time. The atmosphere is laid-back but full of character. You can tell the team genuinely loves what they do, and that energy is contagious. Tip: come hungry and let the chef surprise you. Here, it’s worth trying everything even things you wouldn’t normally order. 💥 A must-visit in Chamonix. After Mumma, it’s hard to look at other restaurants the same way.
Shlomi K — Google review
We ate here 2 days in a row because it was so good and we wanted to try all the vegetarian options and deserts. I can recommend all but our favourites were probably the green tomato sallad, the sticky rice with mango, the broccoli dish and the mushroom dish. The staff were super friendly and very flexible. We will for sure be back. I’m an elopement planner and photographer and I will also recommend to all my couples eloping in Chamonix with me.

Cool Cats is a popular counter-serve restaurant located in the center of town, offering gourmet hot dogs, nachos, and vegan options. The artisanal hot dog bar is housed in a shack by the river and is open daily for lunch and dinner. In addition to their focus on hot dogs, they also offer veggie, vegan, and non-dog alternatives. The restaurant provides a sizable terrace for outdoor seating where guests can enjoy their delicious food.
Even the hot dogs taste great in France! Soft, butter, fresh buns, super flavorful sausage and idk what the French are doing to their pickles but those were great too. Definitely worth a stop by!
Savvy J — Google review
Great lunch here over a very busy weekend with the marathon on - the staff stayed extremely calm and polite under pressure. We managed to grab a table in the shade on a super hot day and shared frites with aoli, classic hotdogs with local smoked sausage and a couple of blonde beers. All delicious and reasonably priced would recommend.
Tracey-Lee S — Google review
We were looking for a place to have lunch in Chamonix, but many restaurants closed at 14:30 or only served dinner. Luckily, Cool Cat was still open at 15:00. The hot dogs were large portions and very tasty. We were two adults and two kids, all quite hungry, so I ordered four hot dogs along with fries and sweet potato fries. In hindsight, the fries weren’t really necessary, the hot dogs alone were very filling. They were delicious, but the fries were oily and soft. You place your order at the counter, and they provide free water, which is nice. One downside is that the restaurant doesn’t have a toilet.
Huining L — Google review
We really enjoyed ourselves here! Simple and to the point hot dogs in a variety of solid flavours and generous portions. The menu can be confusing for a first-timer, and also not all the hot dogs come with a sausage (see the ingredients in the description). We had a couple of different hot dogs to share and each was unique and delicious, they averaged around €13 each. We had the Mexican fries for the side at €9 which were loaded with cheese and sauce, but admittedly a little pricey. Overall, a good spot to hang out and have a simple meal while at Chamonix, especially since the other joints can be much pricier.
Jonathan C — Google review
We visited this place in the summer of 2025. It was a great visit. First of all the hot dogs were literally the best ones I had ever eaten so that is all that matters. It was busy there. Great ambiance. I think it might have been the owner doubling as a DJ while we were eating. It would have been easy to just eat there every day but Chamonix is a very busy town with so many things to try!
Jamie S — Google review
The most gourmet hotdogs I’ve ever eaten. With an extensive menu something for everyone Mexican, burger flavour, the brick is awesome and their loaded fries are delicious too. Great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks great place to stop have a quick feed close to Mont Blanc and all the lifts and fill up before the next adventure.
Tim E — Google review
Finished a hike today and me and my wife can't resist a good hot dog. This spot is right up there with the legendary gas station hot dogs in lceland. The flavor profiles are incredible so many options that you could come here multiple days in a row and never have the same flavor style twice. Combine that with the phenomenal atmosphere, and it's a must-stop if you're in Chamonix.
Jeffrey G — Google review
They really dropped the ball during UTMB week. Maybe too busy. Came from recommendation and disappointed. Dry cold hard hotdog sausages and soggy fries. Will not recommend. Hope it’s because its too busy.

Bizes is a charming bistro located near the casino, offering a unique dining experience with all their dishes grilled on a Josper oven. This cooking method not only enhances the flavor of meats but also brings out the fantastic taste and texture of vegetables. The menu features creative interpretations of French classics with an array of unusual seasonings, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike.
Wow! This restaurant surpassed our expectations. The food is absolutely incredible. The octopus and steaks were cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear on the outside. The have a nice selection of wine to choose from. The owner and staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. They treat you like family. The chocolate dessert was delicious as well. Such a lovely dining experience. So glad to find this gem.

Bizes hits the mark on many measures. It’s top cuisine that you don’t have to dress for - welcome in an outdoor activity town. Ambiance is shaped by the windows on a rushing, glacier-fed river. Friendly multilingual staff, a small and cheerful space and creative, delicious contemporary food and drinks. Wonderful vegetarian as well as regular fare and gluten-free everything.
Melody K — Google review
The best meal I’ve had my entire trip. It’s so tasty and the staff are excellent. We had the rib eye and pork belly as our main with the bean salad. And the cauliflower starter to share. The wine choice by the glass was excellent as well. Grab a table by the water for a great romantic view too.
Simone — Google review
Beautiful menu, very vegetarian friendly, we would have liked to order everything! The food was absolutely gorgeous We took a table outside as we had our dog but inside is probably nicer You will need to reserve in advance
Grey S — Google review
Visited this quaint little restaurant while in Chamonix and it certainly did NOT disappoint! It was busy but they managed to free up a table for us right by the window overlooking the water. I had an espresso martini and it was delicious! I also ordered the ribeye steak, and everything was perfect. The steak, the salad and the fries. My friend had the pork belly and she thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband had the lamb shank and it was probably my favourite of all the dishes! The staff were all very friendly and clearly took pride in what they do! Definitely don’t miss this restaurant, 10/10 would recommend!
Monika M — Google review
This was our second time in Chamonix in the past two years, and by far this is our favorite restaurant. We originally found it searching for steak, but were blown away by one flavor bomb after another. The vibe is cute and edgy, with the river flowing in the back and a cheerful, welcoming staff. The house-made bread with tomato pesto was absolutely delicious. The cauliflower appetizer could have been my entire meal — so complex and rich with flavors and textures that I studied the menu afterward to dissect the ingredient list. (something I’ve never done before!). My boyfriend’s pork came with a BBQ sauce layered with a potent flavor I couldn’t name — maybe almond butter? The stuffed mushroom lived up to its name — stuffed me with pleasure! On our second visit, I ordered the chicken curry, thinking, “How good can a curry be?” Another banger. Somehow they managed to elevate chicken curry to new heights. I kept sneaking glances at the chefs working in the tiny kitchen — true artists. I wanted to ask them, “WHAT is going on in there?!” Throw me a bone! Just one! This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, ranking alongside the few Michelin-starred meals I’ve had. The waitresses were sweet and attentive, and we even had a lovely chat with a fellow climber seated next to us — one of those evenings where you leave blissful and nourished. In fact we felt so grateful, my darling boyfriend paid for the man’s meal we sat next to on the way out. Well done, Bizes. Please continue!

amazing little bbq restaurant. highly recommend the octopus as it was amazing. The steak was also cooked to perfection exactly as ordered which was great. Save some room for the chocolate dessert you won't be disappointed

This was our best meal in Chamonix! Service was excellent and food was delicious. They don’t treat you like a tourist and it’s not rush in / rush out like most places. Also, get a seat by the water. It’s extra special. 100% recommend!

I would like to recommend a pancake. The pancake with so soft with the combination of whipping cream and chocolate, absolutely perfect. Coffee also good, The outdoor area also have a very good view.

Fantastic cafe right in center of chamonix. Their pastries are made by a 21 year old pastry chef who definitely knows what they are doing. The cinnamon roll and pain au chocolat are both 10/10 — couldn’t recommend them enough. Their Canadian brunch dish is also a great dish of meats and cheeses to pick at. Also they have many gluten free options…see the picture for specifics.
Zac S — Google review
I loved my falafel salad and chocolate lava cake. I just would have liked more vegan options, especially a hot one given the cold, snowy weather outside - I would have then given 5 stars. Service was wonderful.
S D — Google review
What a disappointing experience. Initially this looked like a great cafe stop for lunch in Chamonix. We ordered a slice of tart and small mixed side salad (quite pricey at 13.80) Tarte was tasty as was the salad until my friend I was having lunch with found a lump of mud/earth in her salad - the size of a 10 cent piece. Naturally this put her off finishing her salad. We mentioned it lightly to the waitress who was apologetic and would inform the kitchen. When we went into the cafe to pay, there was no mention made of this, but we were asked again if all was good - seemed like a good opportunity to say we had mud in the salad - instead of receiving an apology, the owner became rather defensive and even told my friend that as she is a regular customer she knows this is not normal - seriously!!! just a genuine apology and maybe a gesture would have changed the whole experience but we left feeling very uncomfortable at politely giving feedback.
Caro S — Google review
Now it’s my favourite place in Chamonix for slowing down for a moment and enjoy life and mountains. The staff is very friendly, I asked them to cut the cake in 2 parts, because it’s too much for me - and I didn’t expect they would decorate it so nicely on two plates. It’s my fourth time here, super good coffee, fresh and delicious desserts, nice music, you feel like you’re their favourite guest. Thank you for this amazing experience. See you tomorrow ! 😍
Khrystyna K — Google review
Cute cafe in Chamonix! We stopped for coffee, so we didn’t try any food, but there were lots of pastry options that looked delicious! The cappuccino was decent, not the best I’ve ever had but also not the worst. The cafe had both indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor area has a nice view!

Poco Loco Burger, located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, is a popular spot known for its delicious and affordable burgers. Visitors have praised the nice service and quick delivery of their tasty meals. The restaurant's charming ambiance with lovely pictures on the tables adds to the overall dining experience. If you're looking for a place to enjoy great burgers at reasonable prices while exploring Chamonix, Poco Loco Burger is worth considering.
This place was a total vibe. Right on the main road of Chamonix and a great spot. The bread for the burgers were soooooo good! There is definitely a wait if you get there later in the night, but it was super worth it. We got this meal multiple times because the sandwiches were that flavorful. The staff is super young and highly energetic. The upstairs seating is just great pub style seating and fun. You can hang out outside and drink there as well. The food is well priced and filling. I would highly recommend this spot!
Raj S — Google review
I had the Spicy Kili and it was perfect. It is one of the best burgers I’ve had. What’s special about the burger here is the bread. It’s not your regular soft bun but a rustic/baguette type bread. The staff here are extremely friendly. When I first went there, there was a 40 minute wait time for your burger to be ready and no seats were available. So I skipped and returned the following day and was able to sit and dine immediately.
Dulaj S — Google review
Nice place to stop and eat. Really cool atmosphere especially for music lovers. They have great food. Flavor, portions and pricing are all good. They have indoor seating upstairs but I also see people stop and eat outside. My chicken sandwich was so yummy especially with siracha sauce.
Reece G — Google review
My family ate here all 3 days living in Chamonix. The burgers are tasty with unique and fresh bread. The owner says that the bread a fresh. They made them everyday in the early morning. The special of Poco Loco burgers are crunchy bread, that is different from soft breads of other burgers. It reminds me of “bánh mì” from Vietnam. The price is reasonable. The staffs are very friendly. The restaurant is very small and hot during summer. You can only eat in from 18.00. But I see most people eat outside or take away. The only minus point is about the kid menu. The first day, 5 pieces of fried chicken. The second day, 3 pieces. The third day, 2 pieces. That’s really weird! I highly recommend Poco Loco. My favorites are burgers Atlas and Latino. Chicken burger are better than beef burgers.
Minh H — Google review
Burgers were amazing! Fries were crispy and delicious 😋 We tried the hashbrown burgers, spicy and hot. They were humongous with a fresh baked bun that was good enough to eat alone. I would have liked to buy a dozen to take home. If you like a burger, dont miss this place. Its perfect for hungry TMB hikers.
Kelli M — Google review
Top quality burgers in Chamonix. It may be busy but it is worth the wait. It can get a bit cramped waiting in line when busy and gets busy outside with people waiting to collect their orders and standing eating there food. Great choice on menu.

Tiny spot for burgers and crepes to take away, although, I think they have some seating inside. I made a mistake to take the heaviest burger- double patty, hashbrown, reblochon. It was great, but too much for me. Girls behind the counter are lovely, great service.

I went back here twice in a span of 4 days because it was amazing. The staff was so friendly and personable, the food is fresh and so tasty, and the drinks are creative with lots of local options. I would recommend this to anyone in the area who wants a good burger or just the vibes for a drink.

Came here for dinner and had a great time! The servers were especially attentive and considerate, and took great care to ensure that our needs were met. The food was delicious – we had the beef and chicken burgers at €19 each, overall we preferred the beef but both were good. The cauliflower starter was also very appetising and unique. A great spot for American cuisine in Chamonix.

We just only had the burger with fries, it was a little bit expense but totally worth it. Burger patty was perfect and the combinacion with the sauce and bun made a really good burger. Fries are included and Mayonnaise and Ketchup are included and you can as much as you want. Service was really friendly and fast. And you can pay with card.

Rhyse is the owner and his brother-in-law makes the gluten-free buns. Rhyse is VERY knowledgeable about gluten-free issues and answered all of our questions with such a cheerful disposition! I had the Vegan Burger (and added bacon HA!). So yummy! Bighorn is off the beaten path and totally worth the "detour." And the gluten-free dessert...OMG!

Food was great! Ordered the spicy fried cauliflower, peruvian chicken burger and the beef burger. Service was attentive and considerate as well☺️

Great bistro to have some burgers and beers. I'd seen that it has very positive reviews on google so we decided to give it a try. We tried the chicken fingers as a starter and they were really nice. They were served with a few sauces, one of which was spicy and really tasty. As a starter we ordered four burgers and try were really good. The quality of the meat was good along with the rest of the ingredients. The service was really good, the guy who served us was really nice and helped us with all out doubts. Very nice place in general for some american food. Take into account that depending on when you go they have different menus. We went at 3pm when they opened and options were a bit restricted but again everything was great. 100% recommend.

Aux Petits Gourmands is a must-visit spot in Chamonix, offering delightful chocolates shaped like mini Monts Blancs and available in various packaging options. The patisserie also features an array of original flavored square chocolates named after the peaks of the Chamonix valley, along with delectable pastries and tarts.
Absolutely excellent desserts — I love them! This is a café chain I always make sure to visit. I highly recommend it. Prices are above average, but probably worth it. If you order takeaway, it’s about €2 cheaper.

Various delicious pastries, sweets, chocolate, coffee and juices. I recommend visiting it, but unfortunately it closes early at 7 pm. The service from the employees is excellent. They have outdoor seating. Remember that it is forbidden to feed the birds that hover around you.

A charming warm place with an absolutely great interior and delicious food. I took a quiche, it was great and enough to get full. The cakes look like a piece of art.

Stop by to have a coffee, ordered coffee with chocolate! It's really great. We bought 8 pcs of cakes and cookies, all perfect because all cakes are well balanced in terms of sweetener and flavor! Suggest them to improve their services.... Dine-in of sweets will surcharge at around €2 per item than take away.

The mediterranean restaurant ELA in is culinary paradise for foodies. With mouth-watering dishes such as roasted chicken with molokani rice and succulent lamb shanks in a rich and creamy tagine, it's not hard to see why this place is such a hit. The friendly staff are always on hand to give recommendations, and the relaxed atmosphere means that you can comfortably enjoy your meal without stress.
Love this place! The falafel are just perfect. Super crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. Salads are delicious and all the sauces, too. Hummus is the winner! Staff are very friendly, and they can cater for gluten-free and veggie/vegan diets, which is not always easy to find! Definitely recommend. Will definitely come back :)

This spot is an 11/10. So amazing, truly a culinary gem. Unassuming and not touristy at all, genuinely one of the best Mediterranean spots I’ve had in a long time. Skip the tourist trap restaurants in the middle of town and come here. I’ve had the falafel wrap, the brisket wrap, and the chicken w tomatoes and fennel wrap and they were all amazing. Their bakery and coffee service is also spectacular. Get the cookie if they’re still available when you come in and the flat white . Unreal 🔥🔥🔥

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried in the Chamonix area! The staff are extremely kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming even with children, their service is outstanding. The restaurant is very clean, and the food is delicious with great variety. They also offer an impressive selection of soft drinks. Highly recommended I would definitely come back again!

We loved our lunch so much! All the wraps were absolutely delicious. I'm not normally a falafel girl, but I couldn't get enough! I don't even know where to start describing how awesome everything was - just go and try it :) As an added highlight, we really enjoyed meeting the chef Steph. He is very sweet and cares a huge deal about the quality of the food he serves. So lucky we chose this place for our lunch in Chamonix!

The best Mediterranean wraps my family have ever had. They were truly extraordinary. We’d consider making a trip from another town just to eat here again. Thank you Steph!!!

Absolutely phenomenal. Out of every place I've ever eaten, I've only had a similar experience in 2 other places. I got a chicken wrap with falafel and tzatziki, and safe to say, it was the best wrap I've ever tasted. The vegetables were perfect, the sauce was delicious, the bread was soft, the meat was flavorful, and the falafel was just decadent. Truly a spiritual experience eating it at the nearby field with the gorgeous mountains in the background. If you ever find yourself in Chamonix, I demand you to go here.

Avoid this place at any cost. There are better places around where they welcome people wanting to spend their money. There is an elderly lady who has an issue if you don’t speak French, going around agitated when you ask more than one thing and you do that in a different language. We bought 50€ worth food, that wasn’t appreciated. This is quite sad taking into account Chamonix is full of tourists.

Coffee shop
Café Bluebird in Chamonix is a popular spot for locals and expats seeking a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes or trails. The menu offers classic coffee shop fare as well as their own version of a full English breakfast called the Blue Bird breakfast. Despite its small size, the cafe's English-speaking staff make ordering easy for non-French speakers. Located near the Aiguille du Midi lift station, it's a convenient stop for those facing long waits.
Very friendly staff who speak English. Food was delicious and coffee is lovely. Free small Milka chocolates to have with your hot drinks is a nice touch too.
Ruben J — Google review
Disappointing! The breakfast was average, and expensive for the quality of food. This was the first restaurant in our 5 day Chamonix trip to ask for a tip on payment, very presumptuous even more so considering we hadn’t received our food yet! The place is very small and crapped. I can only describe the experience as sitting in someone’s living room who’s hungover after a night out. Some guys came in, obviously familiar to the staff talking very loudly of their drunken antics the night before. It was odd that the staff joined them in their chats, swearing loudly. They then proceeded to wedge the door open, not only making the tiny room freezing from the cold but also allowed stray dogs in to pester us for our food. The pinnacle of this disastrous dining experience was the chef then going outside, ignoring the orders that had just been placed and stood smoking in front of the whole cafe. It was enough to totally put me off my food. Between that and the dogs, this place clearly has no hygiene standards. In a nutshell, an expensive, chaotic and unhygienic cafe, I would totally avoid whilst in Chamonix.

At Le Shack, our dining experience encompassed a delightful assortment of approximately 8 sharing plates, culminating in an extraordinary and unforgettable night. Each dish showcased an exquisite fusion of spices, herbs, and flavors, carefully curated to present a truly unique and captivating gastronomic journey. Among the standout offerings, the grated sweet potato left an indelible impression as it tantalized the palate with its intriguing marinade, an alluring blend of vinegar and aniseed(we think). This bold and unconventional combination delivered a burst of flavors that elevated the dish to an unparalleled level of culinary artistry. Not to be overshadowed, the dumplings showcased a culinary craftsmanship that merged crispiness and juiciness harmoniously, resulting in a symphony of textures that delighted the senses. Additionally, the beetroot plate showcased a mesmerizing symphony of flavors, leaving an unmistakable mark on our taste buds with its phenomenally harmonious composition. Without reservation, we wholeheartedly endorse this establishment as a must-visit culinary destination. It presents an exceptional dining experience that promises to leave a lasting impression on even the most discerning of palates. Moreover, it is essential to acknowledge the exemplary service at Le Shack, where a friendly and attentive staff demonstrated their profound knowledge of the menu, enhancing our overall enjoyment of the meal. This commitment to hospitality further elevated the overall experience and solidified our conviction in recommending this extraordinary culinary haven to all who seek a truly remarkable dining adventure.

Nestled in the heart of Chamonix, Yumidori is a delightful haven for sushi lovers and fans of Japanese cuisine. This restaurant stands out not only for its extensive gluten-free menu—save for its curry—but also for the exceptional talent behind the sushi counter. The chef has earned accolades, including being a runner-up at the esteemed World Sushi Championship. Diners rave about the beautifully crafted dishes that burst with fresh flavors and artistic presentation.
A gem of a restaurant in a city that serves mostly Savoyard dishes and french specialties! Although lovely, it was great to see this sushi restaurant open the whole day, even at 3pm when we needed a late lunch after just getting back from aguille du midi! 💖 It was literally a lifesaver! I had the pleasure of meeting the sushi chef in action, who's won accolades for his incredible work! Truly, the Salmon Aburi is more than testament enough for his mastery of the craft. It was nothing like other sushi stores make the mistake of the most: too much rice and too little fish! Although the chirashi and sushis were great, the ready-to-eat plates were just pretty ok, and is far from authentic Japanese. The Karaage, although enjoyable, was drenched in too much tonkatsu sauce. The Miso soup was obviously an instant one that they just put hot water on to re-heat. The set-up of the restaurant is a bit self-service and has a more take away than dine-in appeal. Other than that, i still definitely recommend this place just for the stellar sushi platters they offer.
Rian G — Google review
World class sushi in Chamonix. I've visited here twice now, and both times have been excellent. The food is beautifully prepared, fresh, and tasty. Me and a friend shared the 45 peice platter with some extra sides. What a great experience for the taste buds. My personal favourite is the tuna spring roll, but to he honest, every single item is expertly put together with perfectly balanced flavours and stunningly presented. If you're a fan of sushi, then I highly recommend you try Yumidori.
Lee K — Google review
I grabbed a fried chicken curry to go, it was taken from the fridge and heated in microwave rather than freshly make. Not sure if it is different when dine in. As expected, the chicken is not crispy at all anymore. But the curry sauce and rice are legit so it’s not too bad. I would suggest to order something that is make by order.

The chicken and beef curry were so good, we came here twice during our stay. The portions were a bit small.

Very nice place with nice interior. The sushi is very well made, it looks delicious and testes very fresh. Staff is friendly. Price is on the higher side for sushi, but what do you expect when having sushi in the middle of the Alps? Came here twice and quality was consistent.

This had to be the worst sushi I have ever had. The green “artisan” sauce makes bad sushi worse. I have never left a sushi restaurant with food still on the plate and we left multiple pieces. First review I have ever made, as the 4.6 stars failed me. Sorry.

Much better than expected. Food is fresh and is well prepared. Salmon sashimi was really excellent. Much higher value than you would expect from such a place that looks like a run of the mill sushi place.

Massage spa
QC Terme Chamonix offers a unique spa experience with stunning views. Visitors can enjoy a wellness lunch option during lunchtime and explore the various rooms and experiences, including heated pools, hydro massage seats, and thermal water body therapy. The outside heated pool is particularly recommended. However, some visitors have encountered issues with access and amenities such as limited food options and locker space. It's advisable to arrive early to avoid crowds and fully immerse in the breathtaking surroundings.
This is our fourth visit to a QC Terme and the outdoor area has to be the best. The views of the mountains and scenery is like nothing else with lots of greenery and areas to sit and pool area. The staff were friendly and it was spotlessly clean throughout. The range of relaxation rooms gave lots of choice. We visited on a Monday and didn’t have to queue or wait to do anything. Worth every penny.
Amie L — Google review
One of the most incredible places we’ve ever been. They provide so many amenities - towels, slippers, robes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair care productions, lotion and face wash. Soaking in the jets while looking up at the mountain range was a memory I’ll never forget. They also provided free snacks and drinks towards dinner time which was fantastic! I’ve told everyone I know to go there and will go back if we come around to this region anytime!
Nijhum D — Google review
Disappointing Experience at QC Terme Chamonix – Overrated and Overpriced This was our second visit to QC Terme Chamonix, and unfortunately, both times we’ve had a disappointing experience — mainly due to consistently rude behavior from the reception staff. Compared to the restaurant staff, who were much kinder and more welcoming, the contrast was striking and unpleasant. Cleanliness & Organization: The cleanliness of the facility left much to be desired. Pools were not well-maintained, changing rooms were small, messy, and overcrowded — especially at the end of the day. Towels and trash were scattered across the floor, and the lack of private showers or bathrooms made the experience even more uncomfortable. Many bathroom door locks were broken, offering no real privacy. There’s only one changing room for many people, and the seating area is insufficient — imagine two seats for more than 16 lockers/cubicles. Facilities & Crowding: While the spa offers a variety of facilities, space is very limited. The pools are small, shallow, and incredibly crowded. It’s hard to relax when people are on video calls inside the pools, and there’s no staff monitoring these areas. You often find yourself waiting for a turn while someone sits for ages doing nothing related to wellness. Many of the spa features (like jacuzzi buttons and bubble jets) don’t even work. Towel & Robe Theft: One of the most frustrating parts of the experience was having our towels, bathrobes, and slippers stolen — multiple times. There is zero oversight, and the storage system for personal items is poorly organized and insecure. For a place that charges this much, better systems should be in place. Massage & Relaxation: We did a couple’s massage, and while the staff were nice and the waiting area offered drinks and snacks, the massage itself was underwhelming. It felt more like a gentle caress than a proper massage — definitely not suitable if you’re looking for anything therapeutic or effective for muscle pain. Restaurant & Food: The food was actually one of the better parts of the experience — tasty and well-prepared. However, the setup was uncomfortable. For example, during the aperitif hour, you’re rushed with only 15 minutes to eat and settle in. Tables were often dirty, small, and unstable. Still, the mountain view was beautiful, and the relaxing rooms did offer some peace. Other Issues: You’re not allowed to leave and re-enter the premises — even if you’ve booked a full day. So if you forget anything in your car, you’re out of luck. Final Thoughts: Overall, QC Terme Chamonix is incredibly overrated and overpriced. It markets itself as a luxury and relaxing spa, but the reality is far from that. The space is noisy, crowded, and poorly managed. We’ve been to many spas, and this one just doesn’t measure up — not in service, not in cleanliness, not in value for money.
Ramez H — Google review
Highly recommend, you must visit. I would visit again with my parents. There’s many options to book, I booked all day + buffet. It’s really reasonable price, so big and many different sauna rooms. You need to bring your own toothbrush 🪥, you can’t buy here.
Sou K — Google review
We visited QC Terme Chamonix and booked for late afternoon so we didn’t get a chance to try all the spa amenities, however, they do have various different steam rooms, suanas, etc. It can get a little crowded so you may have to wait to use some of the amenities. We spent most of our time in the outdoor pools—and they were absolutely incredible. The mountain views from the pools are breathtaking. Overall, a beautiful and relaxing experience.
Masha_ G — Google review
At first, I was a bit intimidated by negative reviews claiming the staff was rude, but my experience was completely different. I have also visited QC Terme in Bormio and San Pellegrino, but I preferred the Chamonix location, especially for the variety and quality of the food, and of course, the breathtaking views. Compared to other locations, there might be fewer outdoor pools, but the staff was extremely kind, attentive, and always smiling. They even suggested which cream would pair best with the chocolate cake! I completely disagree with the previous negative reviews. I had a 50-minute massage with a friend, and the therapists were wonderfully polite, as was the rest of the staff. Even though we were Italian and didn’t speak French, everyone made an effort to communicate and accommodate us. In short: an excellent experience in every way, highly recommended!
Ayo F — Google review
This spa is genuinely the most stunning and relaxing place I’ve ever visited. Words can’t describe how beautiful this location is. I’d highly, highly recommend going. The booking and checking into the spa was simple and easy, the robes and flip flops are provided for you. The changing rooms are beautiful and clean with showers and hair drying stations, along with moisturisers. The spa area itself looks out onto amazing views of the alps, with areas for you to sit and take in the view. There are multiple different rooms for you to relax in, including a sauna and a normal seating area if you want to stay out of water. However, the main attraction is most certainly the outside pool! The pool is heated so no need to worry about being cold. I’ve thought about this spa every single day since leaving Europe. I 100% want to go back one day.
Rachel J — Google review
Extraordinary experience. This spa has it all - jet baths, sensory pools, cold plunges, relaxation rooms, delightful views, sublime salad buffet. So many nap rooms: water beds, cocoons to sleep in, hammocks, swing beds. However… Each activity is very busy so patience is key. Women’s changing rooms were clean but crowded. They had amenities such as soap, lotions, hair dryer and straightener. Easy check-in and helpful staff. Left feeling like I was on a cloud.

This charming spot is perfect for groups, comfortably accommodating over six guests while providing a delightful atmosphere. Though it was hard to find at first, despite the detailed instructions we were given, the view from apartment 11 makes any issues you have in Chamonix worthwhile. It's only a few minutes walk (up) from town, a good price for fitting 6+ people, and leaving windows open gives you a great view and some nice air flow.
