Restaurant La Crèmerie du Glacier is a must-visit for those seeking authentic Savoyard cuisine in the Chamonix valley. Located in a private log cabin nestled in the forest, this popular restaurant offers a no-frills dining experience that revolves around cheese fondues, croutes, gratins, and salads. The cozy setting provides an unforgettable atmosphere for savoring these local specialties.
The restaurant is tucked in the mountains and accessible by the "pierre a ric" run/piste after a 5 min hike. My gf and I had the fondue which was easily the best one I have ever had. Charcuterie was also divine. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone skiing on traveling by Le Grand Montets.

A must-try for the true French Alps experience! We had a wonderful, hearty meal in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. We ordered 'Le Menu du Skieur', which comes with the 'Gratin de Crozets' and a dessert of your choice. It’s amazing value, and we would definitely recommend it! The service was friendly, and the whole experience felt authentic and special. Be sure to book in advance because it's quite popular!
Chloe P — Google review
An absolute must if you are visiting Chamonix Valley! A quaint restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. Prices are very reasonable. We went in March and asked our concierge at the hotel to help with a reservation. Just a short hike from Pierre a Ric (see map). This is truly such a special place.
Cynthia L — Google review
It's such an amazing experience skiing through the woods to arrive at La Cremery. Enjoyed a wonderful meal in a cozy atmosphere! Second time here in three years. Worth the trip!
Kaitlin H — Google review
Great cheese French food. Amaaazing fondues and great gratins. The service and the terrace outside are both top-notch too!
Emilie H — Google review
What a beautiful place. Tucked in the woods. All patio, basically.

Awesome little gem just off the slopes. What an amazing time here. Good food and excellent service. So much history.

Amazing homestyle French meal that is perfect after a morning of skiing! We went for lunch and everything was amazing. They had one of the best tarte au citrons I have ever had. I do recommend making a reservation in advance (even just for lunch!) but this is one of my favorite spots.

La Calèche is a charming restaurant located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France. The cozy space is adorned with cow bells, vintage skis, and old photos, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This alpine eatery specializes in serving traditional dishes like fondue and raclette. With its more than 30-year-old chalet setting, La Calèche offers a delightful dining experience for visitors looking to savor authentic Alpine cuisine.
I recently visited this place, and it was truly like stepping into a fairytale. The ambiance is absolutely magical, with attention to every detail that makes you feel transported to another world. The food was equally impressive – every dish was bursting with flavor and clearly prepared with care. To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable, making it a perfect spot for both special occasions and casual outings. Highly recommend it! 🥰😊
Antonia — Google review
Very unique restaurant design, alot of things to see. Loved the cheerful waitress! Food was very delicious, my favorites were the Osso buco, La Tartiflette au Reblochon, then the pork chop. We didnt order fondue because my family is not a big fan of cheese
Christina A — Google review
This is a charming, typical Savoyard restaurant. The decor adds to the atmosphere. We had raclette, which was delicious. The restaurant was crowded on a Sunday evening - you need to reserve in advance. The service was efficient although it took awhile for our puddings to arrive. I definitely recommend La Calèche.
David L — Google review
La Calèche was such a treat! 🏔️ The fondue was absolutely excellent—rich, flavorful, and perfect after a big day of adventures in Chamonix. The atmosphere is just as memorable, with the entire space filled floor-to-ceiling with authentic alpine decorations that make it feel cozy and traditional. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger, share stories from the trail, and celebrate the mountain spirit. A must-visit for anyone in Chamonix!
Court R — Google review
For my second dinner in Chamonix ( I had fondue the first) I was looking for a restaurant that served a Savoyard speciality: Tartiflette with farmer Reblochon and Guanciale di Colonnata, green salad, and found this restaurant. The interior decoration is something to behold. The glow of warm lighting reflects off copper pots and cowbells, creating a cozy, chalet-like atmosphere where every corner feels steeped in mountain history. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was just perfect - tasty, cheesy and the bacon added a special flavour.
Jeromet R — Google review
The cheese fondue was great, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. The customer service, however, could use some improvement.
Jesus — Google review
Really nice rustic restaurant with great service and good. This was close to my apartment in Chamonix and decided to get dinner there one night. I ordered the mountain sausage and an amazing dessert afterwards. The food was top notch and the service was stellar. I will visit again when I’m back in Chamonix.
Scott F — Google review
A charming traditional restaurant in the heart of Chamonix, specializing in Haute-Savoie cuisine. As soon as you walk in, the irresistible aroma of cheese fills the air! The fondues and raclette are outstanding and definitely worth trying. Service is quick and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend booking in advance on weekends

French restaurant
La Cabane Des Praz is a charming restaurant located in a chic chalet, offering traditional French cuisine with stunning views of Mont Blanc. The restaurant features an expansive terrace that is popular during the summer and sunny winter days. With a focus on meat and game dishes, the menu provides limited options for vegetarians. Guests can enjoy their meals while taking in magnificent views of the Mont Blanc chain from the sunny terrace or cozy indoor seating areas.
I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant La Cabane des Praz in Chamonix ski resort, France. A magical atmosphere in a cozy wooden cabin surrounded by snow, enhanced by charming Christmas decorations. The service was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, even lending me a snow brush for my car. The food was delightful: the scallop tartare was beautifully presented and flavorful, the poultry with creamy morel mushroom sauce was tasty (though the skin could have been crispier), and the apple crumble dessert was fresh and delicious. A wonderful experience overall—highly recommended! (I didn’t pay, so I can’t comment on the pricing.)

Beautiful atmosphere! We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely green vista overlooking the golf course. The staff were very humorous , accommodating and recommended wines to our palate. The food was exceptional and on point. So much flavour. We were over charged for a few balls of ice cream that didn’t arrive, but everything else went so well! Would highly recommend anyone to eat here. Thank you.
Alexandra H — Google review
Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Chamonix near the golf course, this place is a true hidden gem. The food is exceptional, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Service is warm and professional without being overbearing. A perfect spot to recharge — it will lift your spirits and leave you ready to take on the next day’s adventure. Highly recommended.

Perfect ! Great cosy atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food and baby/kid friendly (without being too noisy) ! Easy access with a stroller with parkings close. Changing table. Spacious. Beautiful terrace overlooking the Mont-Blanc. Absolutely recommend !

A delicious meal served by friendly staff in a beautiful situation on the very smart Chamonix golf club surrounded by mountains
Nicholas C — Google review
I booked a table for a group of 7, and had special requests including a high chair for a baby my friend had with her. The best spot with a view in the restaurant, everything waiting ready when we arrived! The ambience was super cozy, the attendants were super friendly, food was delicious! I cannot wait to return once the sun is out again to enjoy the view from the terrace. It has an unobstructed view of the mountain and the golf course, but it was raining so we couldn't sit outside. You won't regret your visit!

Great restaurant in Chamonix. Amazing food and lovely terrace overlooking the golf course.

We had an amazing dinner, we loved the food, but the best was the service. Marion made the night very special by looking after us and smiling constantly. She was super professional and very nice. We would recommend this restaurant 100%.

Munchie, located on the Route du Moulin strip in the center of Chamonix, is a popular restaurant known for its inventive and diverse dishes with a Swedish-run but strong Asian influence. The menu offers options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, with several vegetarian dishes available that are usually suitable for vegans due to the limited use of dairy. The staff is helpful and can assist in identifying any hidden ingredients commonly found in Asian cuisine.
We had 8 in our party and after a long hike, we were hungry and ready to explore some fun cuisine. We scored at Munchies. We were able to enjoy many dishes, sharing them all. Our food was tasty and beautifully presented - hot as well. We had the house wine which was also good and reasonable. Definitely a score! We were hungry and forgot to take the pic before devouring the dish! Our waiters, Adam and Daniel, were fun. Also a fun location along ‘foodie” alley in Chamonix.
Barbara P — Google review
Disappointing service. The restaurant was completely empty, yet they refused my request for a comfortable chair and insisted I sit at a high bar chair. After I left, they said “hope to see you again” I found that quite disrespectful given how I was treated
Shrmip 7 — Google review
Came here on a Tuesday evening and had a lovely meal. The food was incredible, particularly the tempura prawn maki (which we all agreed we could’ve eaten more of!) and the cauliflower. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. Our waiter was lovely and we couldn’t fault the demeanour of the servers. However, we did have to ask for a drink twice and waited a long time to receive them. Also, we had to wait a while for food which wasn’t an issue for us as we had a leisurely meal, but it might be for some. It seems like the management need to hire more servers as they looked run off their feet. Overall, we had a lovely meal and would definitely return.
Abbie H — Google review
We have chosen this restaurant for our family dinner. The restaurant has small rooms and subdued lighting. The proximity of the tables and the somewhat cramped atmosphere create the feeling of a casual home gathering. We ordered three different main courses: classic duck teriyaki, tuna tartare and Korean-style fried chicken. We unanimously liked them. Then we chose three different desserts. Personally, I liked the mochi with a sprig of fresh red currants. There is a rather large selection of wine, but only one type of druft beer. Freindly, warm ambience and delicious dishes to savor.
Inna G — Google review
Fantastic food! Every item we got was delicious. Highly recommend the cauliflower and the cucumber starters. Such amazing flavour combinations, a nice change from the traditional foods of Chamonix
Cassidy W — Google review
Food was great (tasty enough for us to dine here twice on our holiday) we tried 6 dishes over 2 nights all great. The thing that let's this place down is the service we found it to be friendly at times then completely rude/dismissive which is quite off putting when paying good money to dine somewhere.....
Tracey-Lee S — Google review
More a snack bar vibe, ordering 2-3 dishes per person to share is the best option. Unique fusion on Asian cuisine. However, I felt that I would not need to return after one visit. Service was quick despite it being very busy. I’d recommend making a reservation if you can, especially if you are more than two persons.
Kimberly S — Google review
We had been recommended this place and also saw it on a couple of food blogs and glad that we made it. Delicious Asian fusion food - we were a group of 4 and tried 8-10 small plates and they were all awesome! Special call out to the lamb gyoza, mushroom ravioli. Lastly fantastic service too - the team were warm and helpful! Price point was not cheap, but would still classify as good value for money - not at all a tourist trap. Highly recommended!

French restaurant
La Maison Carrier is a charming French restaurant housed in a typical Savoyard-style chalet, offering a blend of traditional and contemporary cuisine. The cozy ambiance, with wooden beams and gingham tablecloths, evokes the feeling of dining at a French grandmother's chalet. Chef Cedric Nogueira skillfully prepares classic Haute-Savoie dishes with a modern twist, such as homemade boudin with pears and bacon potatoes, and Sichuan pepper sea bass.
Wonderful Christmas Eve meal! It was a fixed menu. The fois gras and white fish tartare were delicious. The guineafowl was cooked perfectly. The cheese cart and dessert bar was a lovely touch. One could pick what they wanted according to their taste. The proportions were generous too. The whole setup was so festive! The ambiance was refined cosy and lively. Absolutely recommend!
Lauren T — Google review
We went for a leisurely lunch and enjoyed every minute and each bite. The food is rustic and honest, yet refined. My son ordered the beef special which was incredible, absolutely delicious. I had the fish which was also very good. Every single thing we tasted was superb, the bread and butter, the starters, the wine by the glass, the dessert buffet. Staff was super friendly and was patient while my son practiced his French. If there’s one place you go for a nice meal, make it here.
Emily G — Google review
An amazing way to finish the holiday. A fine dining experience in a relaxed garden setting with beautiful food and lovely service. We both opted for the very reasonable daily 5 course menu - €59. Delicious. I would have paid more.
Arron B — Google review
All the staff at la Maison Carrier made us feel at home by their kindness to us. Their English was good which was lucky because our French is not so good. Our favourite main course was the trout ballotine with citrus fruits, artichoke and arugula pesto. It was melt-in-the-mouth and had a very punchy flavour. I had an entree which I adored that was egg, cream and cured meat. The serves were ample. We were recommended to the restaurant by our Airbnb host. The little extra things they gave us at the beginning and end of the meal were very tasty. As you no doubt realise from other reviews, they have an amazing dessert buffet called ‘Grandma’s tarts’ - all the French desserts you even dreamed of. People came into the restaurant looking serious but after the dessert buffet they were all smiling. I liked the fresh cherry tart and the oeuf en neige best. We felt the meal was good value.
Jillian C — Google review
Really got an alpine dine experience here. We ordered the mushroom cheese fondue, the veal appetizer, the sea bass and pork as main dishes, and used the dessert buffet. The ambience was really relaxed and luxurious at the same time.
Mary L — Google review
Absolutely beautiful garden setting. Delicious dinner and amazing dessert buffet. Highly recommend!
Nora Z — Google review
This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend. We made a reservation a week before. The restaurant is elegant. We ordered the prefix meal which came with the buffet dessert. The meals were expensive; however, the prefix special was a good deal. The desserts were delicious.
Catherine H — Google review
Got a recommendation for this place from a local. Absolutely wonderful experience. The building itself was rustic and full of alpine touches. The food was delicious and they were really generous with the servings. The semi-buffet of grandmother's pies for dessert was excellent. We were able to try multiple things. Service was also excellent.

Fine dining restaurant
Albert 1er Restaurant in Chamonix offers a refined and elegant dining experience in a wood-paneled, white table-clothed setting. The cuisine takes center stage with artfully designed plates and harmoniously blended flavors sourced partially from the property's herb and kitchen gardens. Chef Damien Leveau's Michelin-starred cuisine showcases influences from the region, utilizing ingredients like wild Arctic char and Pike from Lake Geneva, as well as herbs from the aromatic garden.
Nestled in the heart of Chamonix, Albert 1er is a culinary gem that effortlessly marries tradition with innovation. The restaurant’s two Michelin stars are a testament to the artistry and precision that go into every dish, but what truly sets the experience apart is the impeccable wine service. The sommelier is nothing short of a maestro, who guided us on a journey through the region’s finest vineyards. His knowledge of Savoie wines is unparalleled, and his ability to pair each course with the perfect bottle elevates the dining experience to new heights. From the crisp minerality of a local Roussette to the bold complexity of a Mondeuse, every selection not only complements the dish but enhances its flavors in surprising and delightful ways. The tasting menu is a masterpiece, with each plate showcasing the chef’s deep respect for seasonal, local ingredients. Highlights included a delicately poached trout paired with a vibrant Chignin-Bergeron, and a melt-in-your-mouth venison loin accompanied by a structured and earthy red from the slopes of the Mont Blanc region. With panoramic views of the Alps serving as a breathtaking backdrop, ensuring every moment felt special.
A.J. B — Google review
Gorgeous dining experience at Restaurant Albert 1er! First off, the staff were fantastic and made the night unforgettable! Big thanks to all of them. I had the vegetarian 7-course menu and asked for a cocktail pairing which the sommalier smashed out of the park. Each course was fantastic, big thank you to Chef Leveau, I especially loved the asparagus dish and the carrots dish, what fantastic fusion of fresh lovely flavors! The sauces that came with the dishes were so good that I asked them to be kept on the table just so I can have more of them with the delicious breads. The main dessert of parsley and chocolate was one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted, huge kudos to Chef Garnier! Dishes were also presented beautifully and every detail superseded my expectations. I will be a frequent visitor each time I’m in Cham from now on. The only interesting thing was that the chefs did not come out to chat, which is something I typically experience at Michelin restaurants. It would have been a nice touch on top of the wonderful night but really a 10/10 dining experience all around. Thank you and until we meet again!
Ava H — Google review
My wife and I planned our trip to Chamonix several months ago, and with a few weeks of arriving we were able to make a reservation here which was awesome on such short notice. This would be our first Michelin Star, actually in France. We looked at the menu ahead of time and planned to go with the seven course, as our reservation was a little on the later side. We made it to the hotel where they they took our coats, as we walked towards the restaurant we passed a woman singing while playing the piano in the room before entering. In theory this would have been a nice touch, but she was absolutely belting it, it was disruptive and made the noise level in the dining area much louder than what I think is appropriate for this sort of faire. Not only was it hard to hear ourselves at the table much less the waiters trying to explain each dish. This brings me to the food. Ordering from the menu of only a few options took quite a while. When we requested a wine menu, an ipad was thrust upon us with 35 pages, impressive but quite a lot to study in a timely manner. I expected better summary of the wine options and pairings than what was offered, which was none. We selected a bottle of a local savoie region white wine on our own, which we enjoyed. By the time we received our bottle and served the first course an hour had passed since being seated. This seemed long but the time was filled with some palate cleansers but all before the meal seemed different. The seven course felt completely sufficient as it had a variety of different flavors. Overall the food was what I would expect from a dining experience of this level. The trout was a little bland with a highlight of the flavors butternut Corsican orange and ice cream with fennel flavors that came with dessert. This synopsis in a nutshell, I would recommend this restaurant and give it a 4 or 5 star rating, but let me tell you why I'm not: On the first course there was what seemed to be a beard hair on my plate, it was on a large plate far from being anywhere near the food, so I didn't want to make a fuss about it. However, on my dessert there was another hair (eyelash or eyebrow) on the serving plate, again not touching food but clearly present. Once, is unlucky, or a coincidence, twice, however, is a trend. And thus is where I would have liked to have mentioned something but at this point we had been dining for three hours and we're exhausted. Mind you, at two hours in we were only finishing our second course. Cramming five courses into one hour made for an uncomfortable eating experience, the was quite "heavy" and by the time dessert was served we could hardly enjoy it. The cheese course and selection was very impressive, however by the time all the two dozen or so cheese options were rattled off, it was hard to recall which was which and really just picking from looks. Some additional identification would have been appreciate to associate my final choices, but maybe that's just because I am not a cheese connoisseur. On a final note we had to specifically ask several times for our wine (from the bottle we purchased) and water to be refilled with stretches over five minutes with empty glasses - not the service I would have ever expected from a restaurant with a star. Overall I'm very disappointed with this experience, the food was interesting with creative flavors yet heavy and had us feeling unwell to the next morning. The quality and service was inattentive and lacking.
Davon M — Google review
Wonderful meal, friendly and attentive service,in a beautiful restaurant overlooking their garden. We had the 9 course tasting menu with the 5 wine pairing. The sommelier was fantastic answering all our questions about the wine including some history on the various vintners. The food was good, standouts were the stuffed morels, fish from lake geneva and both our mains ( lamb and chicken). The service overall was exceptional all our interactions were pleasant and comfortable. They went out of their way to answer questions. Highly recommend for any visiting chamonix would love to stay at the hotel next time we visit.
Josh W — Google review
What a great experience from beginning to end. From the mountains in the dishes, minerals as candle and plants from their harvest I truly loved it. The view in spring from the floral garden is astonishing I will return but next time I will stay in the hotel. Reservarion was indeed needed, with 4 courses it will take around 2 hours. We arrived earlier than the reserved time and they gave a us a table anyways, so nice. The restaurant is in the back of the hotel, all indications are clear once in the entrance.
Giancarlo M — Google review
Simply WOW. If you are thinking of booking the Albert 1er for a special occasion, please do not hesitate for one moment. From the moment you will cross the doors to the moment you will put your coat on, you will feel spoilt and taken care of. We loved every single moment, from the food to the wine to the cocktails to the dining room (we went for the 9-course tasting menu). Disappointing Experience for a Michelin-Starred Restaurant We dined at Hameau Albert 1er for our wedding anniversary, expecting a memorable experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The waitstaff was unprofessional for a Michelin-starred establishment, often walking away when we had questions and failing to provide attentive service. They brought the wrong desserts and didn’t even serve them at the same time, which is unacceptable at this level. To add to the disappointment, the chef never came out to greet or interact with guests, which is something we’ve come to expect at Michelin-starred restaurants. Overall, the experience fell far short of what we anticipated, especially for such a special occasion.

Le Monchu is a charming restaurant in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, known for its delicious cheese fondue and raclette, as well as classic French dishes. The restaurant, established in 1972, exudes a rustic and cozy atmosphere with its collection of quirky knick-knacks such as old coffee grinders and 18th-century agricultural tools.
Restaurant in the center, close to all attractions. Lots of tables inside and outside. Fast and professional service, large selection of traditional mountain dishes served in a brilliant way. Excellent food, especially cheese fondue. Tasty desserts, wines, moderate prices.

A very good restaurant with a vast menu including local speciality dishes, fondue, raclette, barbecue meats alongisde other French classics. The ambiance is lovely with traditional decorations and a rustic feel. The service was a bit slow during busy evenings, but otherwise ok. Both the fondue and french onion soup were delicious. We also had the barbecue selection of meat + cheese which you have to cook yourself at your table. It is an interesting experience but it requires a lot of time and effort and the portion size felt a bit small for the price and I am not sure it was worth it.

Savoyard comfort with theatre. Our raclette came on a charcoal brazier with a clamped wedge to scrape by ourselves; staff explained the ritual then kept pace with smooth refills of meats, potatoes and even hot coals. Each scrape landed buttery-smooth, perfect over firm-waxy potatoes. The charcuterie platter (jambon cru, salami, coppa, jambon braisé) reset the palate with cornichons between rounds. Timbered room, sheepskin throws and big valley views make an easy, Alpine mood. Service was relaxed, attentive and simply said yes. A confident, classic Chamonix dinner.

The food at this restaurant was truly delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each dish had a perfect balance of taste and creativity. I celebrated the end of my Tour du Mont Blanc here and toasted the journey with a glass of Génépi. A memorable experience in a charming place!

Just perfect place to eat some snails 🐌 and French food. All food was perfect and would definitely come back again! I am sad that we wanted to try other places as well and didn’t eat here all days we were in Chamonix 😕🤤

Good service. The duck was great, soft and juicy. The impression was spoiled by the fact that sparrows were pinching the bread prepared for the customers, and when the staff noticed this, they simply covered the baskets with bread but did not replace the bread.

Atmosphère is a restaurant located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, offering Savoyard cuisine and an extensive wine selection. Situated by the riverside with a veranda that provides stunning views of the mountains, it's a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The restaurant has been recommended by many visitors and locals alike for its inviting atmosphere and delicious food.
Overall, good value for money (menu is 57) and we had a nice evening there. The dessert was amazing 😍 We went for the dinner service at 7 and there's another one at 9. The service is very efficient but the whole experience felt a bit rushed even though we spent nearly the full 2 hours there. Once finished, the plate was taken and the next dish was served 1 minute later. For dessert we had to ask for a break.

Atmosphere Restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Chamonix. Attentive service, and a prime location makes it a standout dining experience. The menu showcases high-quality ingredients with a refined yet approachable touch, and each dish is carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The service is professional and welcoming!

The restaurant boasts a stunning location, making it a beautiful spot to dine. Unfortunately, despite its Michelin star, the food was underwhelming. The tomato pasta, in particular, was disappointing—lacking salt and overwhelmed by an excessive amount of black pepper. The other dishes we ordered were good but nothing exceptional. What really detracted from the experience was the service. While the staff were attentive, we felt rushed from the moment we sat down. The server came multiple times within just a few minutes of being seated to check if we were ready to order, which felt quite pressuring. The pacing of the meal felt off. We were finished and out of the restaurant in an hour. When the dessert menu was presented, the server returned just two minutes later asking if we’d decided, even though we hadn’t yet opened the menu. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The food doesn’t live up to the Michelin star reputation, and the hurried service makes for an uncomfortable dining experience.
Davide G — Google review
Hey, guys from the Michelin guide and the restaurant, are you really thinking that desserts (we tried 2) with whipped cream from a supermarket bottle are OK? The food was awful as well. We tried the menu. My Michelin guide trust became 30% less. Fix this, please.
Slava B — Google review
We were looking forward to eating here as it was recommended by our hotel but it might have been an off night. The service was trying to be great but missed many details, no silverware, one appetizer missing, no drink menu but a huge book of wine. It would be better to have a couple of reliable wines and if you want a larger selection then offer the book. The food was hit and miss. Looked pretty but did not have much flavor for the sea bream but the duck breast was better but a bit overcooked. The fondue was fun and the cheese sauce was great. Mushroom soup was fantastic but the smoked salmon was just ok and tough. The escargot was just good. Too much sauce so the escargot was not the Star. Deserts were good, French toast fantastic, flambé cake was overly alcoholic tasting. Less rum means better. The other local dessert had the same issue. I was wavering between a 3 or 4 star rating but when I saw they charged for tap water in fancy bottles (which they were more than happy to keep bringing) I opted for 3 stars. It was crowded but it’s just average.

Fabulous setting by the river, fantastic food from start to finish. Had the duck 🦆, it was delectable, tried truffle pasta and ravioli 🍝 to great delight. And not to mention an extensive French, Italian (and other old world) wines. 🍷 Bonus surprised by the variety of cocktails...🍸🍹

I am a single traveler on my third dinner in Chamonix looking for another SAVOYARD specialty and found it at Atmosphere. The room is cosy and I was welcomed warmly. I tried the Baked Vacherin (hot box cheese), served with charcuterie and potatoes. Hot, melted Vacherin — poured over potatoes, paired with charcuterie. Pure alpine heaven! I also had a refreshing beer and a glass of Bourgogne white wine.

We loved this place! We just got a daily special, linguine, but it was on point. Our server might have been the owner, but she joked about it not being true. She was patient when I attempted French. She recommended a nice beer and the house wine was perfect as well. It's a short walk from the nearby gondola and way, way less crowded than the places on the slopes! It was also right by the train station.

Let me start by saying this is without a doubt the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in the area. The cozy wooden chalet creates a warm atmosphere for enjoying their delicious dishes. Much improved in the last year. Gone are the loud bus loads of Chinese tourists. We ate outside near the pool, this new space is lovely. The food and service very good.

- Very friendly staff, they even got us dropped off at our hotel after our dinner! We really appreciated this, especially given it was Christmas night. - The food is ok. We were hoping for a tasting menu or something a bit more special. It’s à la carte and the flavours weren’t bad but also not remarkable. - We were ready to splurge on a special Christmas dinner, which we didn’t end up doing because the prices were quite reasonable. So the price & quality are a match. - The décor is… :(((. Quelle dommage to take such a gorgeous old building and decorate it with this inexplicable furniture by the beautiful fireplace. Then the fake plastic fireplace and the plastic Orchids, all taking away from the ambiance.

MUMMA, located at 31 Rue Whymper in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, offers a moody and contemporary setting where you can enjoy thoughtfully plated Pan-Asian fusion dishes and innovative cocktails. The restaurant is known for its interesting and unique dishes. If you're looking for takeout Mediterranean food, ELA is highly recommended. For pastries and baguette/cheese sandwiches, Nicholas is a popular choice.
Fantastic and creative fusion, surprising tastes palletes in every bite. We were a group of 4 (one vegetarian) and shared almost the whole menu. It was delightful and the cocktails were top notch. Better to book a table in advance.

One of the best restaurants in Chamonix! The food is amazing. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The interior is beautifully simplistic, modern and cozy. They have a great selection of small plates to share. We love the beef lettuce wraps and crab rice balls! They were very delicious! The wok vegetables are so good! The veggies were cooked to perfection with a wok taste. Those are our favourites. They are also a dog-friendly restaurant, which we absolutely love. We were too full to have dessert, but they have several that sounded really good.

This place was SO good that we dined here two days in a row. Every single dish was a hit - perfect understanding of balance of flavours. Spice was never not accompanied by a fattiness or creaminess. Sweetness never not accompanied by tartness. And the texture - oh. The contrast of soft with crispness was absolutely perfect in every dish. Typically I hate Asian fusion but this place manages to deliver. 10/10 absolutely best restaurant in the entire Chamonix. We pretty much had the entire menu over two nights. Come at 6.20pm and get in the queue. So worth it.

Best restaurant in Chamonix 🍸🌶 Open plan kitchen, dim lighting & modern decor. Great food, crab balls will always be my favourite and they are a must dish! I recently had the fish with the smokey sauce and ramen egg and it was incredible. Attentive service with French and English speaking staff who are knowledgeable and very friendly. Wine selection is of high standard and you can't come without trying at least one cocktail. They are flavourful, complex and delicious. 5 stars every time I go! Its a must in chamonix and a perfect venue for date nights.
CoopsAUS — Google review
A nice break from the classic mountain food, MUMMA offers more upscale Asian food with interesting and unexpected flavors combination. Portion size was quite good too compared to similar restaurants. The tomato salad, the fish tartare and the mackerel fish were our highlight. Cocktails were also really good. Service was really nice, they even accommodated my hearing issue. Don’t forget to make a reservation.
Thomas A — Google review
Very cool restaurant for those who are sick of fondue / raclette. The idea is you order several Asian inspired "smaller" plates and some sides, which you share. We enjoyed every single one of them - even the pure veggie ones were unique and elevated. Our favorites were the karaage which comes with a pate (French twist!), the harissa carrots and the beef tataki. For sides, I would highly recommend the Mumma special rice and veggie wok. We also tried all three desserts, which were all pretty good but I would have rather had more of their savory dishes to be honest. The service was great and their is a fun vibe there. If you have to wait for a table, there is a beer garden right next door (same owners) where you can have a drink and they'll come get you when your table is ready. Service was very friendly.

✨ An absolute delight in the heart of Chamonix! ✨ If mountains could cook, they would do it like Mumma. Every dish, from starters to desserts is an explosion of flavors you won’t forget. Each plate feels like a small adventure: bold, unexpected, and deeply comforting at the same time. The atmosphere is laid-back but full of character. You can tell the team genuinely loves what they do, and that energy is contagious. Tip: come hungry and let the chef surprise you. Here, it’s worth trying everything even things you wouldn’t normally order. 💥 A must-visit in Chamonix. After Mumma, it’s hard to look at other restaurants the same way.

Me and my partner had dinner in your restaurant. The hostess asked us about the water but even 45(!) minutes of waiting it didn’t arrive so I had to ask for it again. Fantastic French restaurant showcasing authentic French techniques and fresh ingredients. Wine list was amazing. Love their choice of tableware. The restaurant was filled in a matter of minutes. The only negative point was the lack of service staff. There was only a poor guy serving the entire restaurant that night but he still managed to pull it off! Another wait staff would help ease the situation.

Everything was quite mediocre. The soupe à l’oignon was very thin and translucid, not much taste. The food itself was lacking salt and quite ordinary for €33. The risotto wasn’t cooked well and scallops felt like they were frozen. The waiter brought us the wrong wine, we ordered one of €39 ans he brought us one of €64. There are many other places way better than this one. Don’t recommend it.

Good option for raclette. We had dinner here after exploring Chamonix in the afternoon. Among all the dinner options in town (all a bit pricier than what we normally go for) we settled for Le Sérac because it had a good raclette price - 29€/person for raclette + potatoes + chacuterie. We ended up having a good experience: nice meal, friendly service and an AMAZING view of the Mont-Blanc.

The Snel I tasted the taste of dust but my friend said it’s ok; the shrimp I think it’s tasteless, my friend said it’s normal frozen shrimp pls manage expectations; then the Cheese Fondue is sooooo salty, every bite of meat in cheese, I need to drink 100ml of water to wash away the salty taste. Le Comptoir des Alpes is a charming restaurant that has been serving refined French-Italian cuisine since 1903. The stylish dining room features a mix of granite and wood accents, creating an elegant atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meals. Located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the restaurant is known for its modern approach to cuisine, with Chef Daniele Raimondi infusing his dishes with nods to the Savoie region.
Absolutely scrumptious dishes. Every dish absolutely exceeded my already high expectations. The parsnip starter (11/10, magical), scallops main (10/10, buttery melt-in-your-mouth scallops and the sauces and puree and the crispy vegetables were just perfection), and the chocolate tartlette dessert (10/10, rich, creamy, delicious, beautifully presented and went so well with the ice-cream and the chocolate sauce as well). My friend had the slow-cooked egg for his starter and the riz au lait for dessert and could not stop raving about both either. I also loved the carrot cream brought out as appetizer. Cocktails were fantastic as well and the wine selection was extensive and lovely. Service was top notch as well. Finished the delicious meal with their wonderful limoncello served chilled. My only suggestion would be to bring out some whipped butter with the fantastic bread. Absolutely beautiful meal and experience. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to have a bite before or after going into the mountain. They have good wine list and wines by the glass, very sophisticated and tasty dishes. The service is also remarkable, the only disadvantage is that the meat dishes take long so if you are in a rush you can’t have them. I will definitely go back

We really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere here. The dishes were well-prepared and flavorful, the setting was cozy and elegant. One of the highlights for me was the extensive wine menu, offering plenty of great options. Overall, a nice place for a good meal and a relaxed evening.

Food was OK but not overall very impressive especially with this price tag. Service was good. Variety of cheeses was good. I especially liked the desserts
Alon I — Google review
We spent a nice evening there. The cocktails were delicious and the 3 course meal comes at a reasonable price of 57 Euros. The octopus risotto is the only dish that needs a bit of improvement. It tasted like rice with a very slight note of parmesan and not like a risotto.
Fabian S — Google review
The evening was amazing and the food was excellent (each and every part of it). The wine pairing was good, and the service was professional and very nice. We do want to see this place getting a Michelin star, so there a few *small* things you may want to consider to get there: 1. The table was not cleaned throughout the dinner, so it was gradually getting harder to eat across the crumbs and the food leftovers. 2. The soda and water is free. That's awesome. When the bottle is empty, just replace it - we needn't ask specifically. 3. The bathroom - I'd use hand towels instead of paper towels, and add some scent to the room. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

The food was good. The service was ok. The atmosphere was above average. Not sure if the restaurant is worth the price.
Steve N — Google review
We had a terrible meal here. I’m uncertain how anyone would give this place a good review or why. While the place has nice atmosphere and the food looked pretty, the service and food flavor were very lacking. We had drinks, squash appetiser, foie gras, the boeuf (supposed to be filet but didn’t taste like it), scallops and slow cooked pork. The drinks tasted like they had no alcohol and were not well prepared. We asked for a replacement, and even straight whiskey tasted watered down. They charged us for the drinks that we sent back. The squash app and foie gras were tasteless. No seasoning or flavor. The filet didn’t taste like filet. It was poorly cooked not to temp, the flavor and texture were not consistent with filet. The slow cooked pork was not flavorful nor tenter as promised. The scallops were ok but very under seasoned. Even dessert was a miss - had a strange flavour and we didn’t finish. On top the service was not good at all. In the end when I was asked if we liked our meal and said no, the waiter said “so it was good”. The only good thing here was the sourdough bread. Payed and left as it wasn’t worth my time to argue. We are foodies and have eaten all over the world and this was the worst meal we had in all Chamonix. Strong suggestion to avoid and we will not return.

I went back here twice in a span of 4 days because it was amazing. The staff was so friendly and personable, the food is fresh and so tasty, and the drinks are creative with lots of local options. I would recommend this to anyone in the area who wants a good burger or just the vibes for a drink.

Came here for dinner and had a great time! The servers were especially attentive and considerate, and took great care to ensure that our needs were met. The food was delicious – we had the beef and chicken burgers at €19 each, overall we preferred the beef but both were good. The cauliflower starter was also very appetising and unique. A great spot for American cuisine in Chamonix.

We just only had the burger with fries, it was a little bit expense but totally worth it. Burger patty was perfect and the combinacion with the sauce and bun made a really good burger. Fries are included and Mayonnaise and Ketchup are included and you can as much as you want. Service was really friendly and fast. And you can pay with card.

I had the Vegan Burger (and added bacon HA!). So yummy! Bighorn is off the beaten path and totally worth the "detour." And the gluten-free dessert...OMG!

Great bistro to have some burgers and beers. I'd seen that it has very positive reviews on google so we decided to give it a try. We tried the chicken fingers as a starter and they were really nice. They were served with a few sauces, one of which was spicy and really tasty. As a starter we ordered four burgers and try were really good. The quality of the meat was good along with the rest of the ingredients. The service was really good, the guy who served us was really nice and helped us with all out doubts. Very nice place in general for some american food. Take into account that depending on when you go they have different menus. We went at 3pm when they opened and options were a bit restricted but again everything was great. 100% recommend.

Spend your money elsewhere. This happened today, and I’m still frustrated. I ordered the sirloin steak medium-rare, but what arrived was cold in the center and barely seared on the outside—basically raw. For €32, this was completely unacceptable. A professional kitchen should be able to cook a basic steak properly. This wasn’t a rare misstep—it was a failure. All I could eat were a few potato wedges and a tiny leaf salad that felt more like a garnish than a side. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, I said no. The untouched steak should have made it obvious something was wrong with a language barrier but she just cleared the plates without any follow-up. I asked for the bill and left—still hungry and incredibly disappointed. This meal was a complete waste of time and money. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting even the most basic level of quality or care.

Lovely little restaurant, nice cosy vibes on a cold rainy night. Two of us shared the fondue with meat, potatoes and bread basket. A generous portion we left full and happy. The staff we met were very friendly and welcoming.

We tried this place as we improvised a dinner after some drinks in the center of Chamonix and to be honest we were quite dissapointed in general. We only ordered the hot plate that came with three different kinds of meat (beef, chicken and duck) and to begin with, we didnt really feel as the quality, the cuts and the quantities were the best. We also felt as if the stone were you cook the food didnt get hot enough and the food took ages to cook plus it the end product wasnt good. Maybe we are used to something else but it just didnt feel right. As sides it came with potatoes and salad which were the best part of it. The service was good in general. The price was a bit expensive taking into account what we experienced. Its not a complete no for me but there are defenitely better places in Chamonix nearby.

I wish I had read more reviews before visiting this restaurant. It’s a tourist trap. The food doesn’t taste fresh. Read the negative comments they are what you get! There is one from 8 months ago one star that is spot on describing the horrible tasteless onion soup. When I said I didn’t like the soup the waiter took it back to the kitchen. He didn’t offer to bring something else. When the bill came the soup was on it. He refused to take it off. The wine list is very limited and expensive for the wines offered. Overall just a terrible experience Go elsewhere there are other fantastic restaurants in Chamonix.

Restaurant Le Boccalatte is a popular spot for fondue, especially the traditional 'Savoyard' and other unique variations. It's advisable to arrive before 20:00 or make a reservation, especially for larger groups. The staff provides excellent service and accommodates special requests with respect. Diners were impressed by the high-quality food, particularly the lasagna and meat dishes. The outdoor seating offers views of the mountains, although small birds may be present.
Val made our evening unforgettable with such a lovely French welcoming. The food and drink was fantastic in a great location with lovely views. We tried a selection of dishes and had lovely drinks as suggested by Val. Would highly recommend for traditional but reasonably priced food in this area.

We ordered 3 course dinner but it was too much, we couldn't finish it. Onion soup very hot and cheesy, delicious fondue, big plus for possibly to order for 1 person. Dog-friendly.
Sara K — Google review
A very disappointing meal overall. Pizza tasted like it was store-bought, and the pasta didn't taste fresh, with measly pieces of salmon. Do not recommend. Won't be returning.
Robin L — Google review
I had a lovely meal here on a Saturday in late March. Service was attentive, prompt and kind! I ordered the Savoy prix fixe with the onion soup, tartiflette, and crème brûlée. Everything was delicious. And I’m sure you can nitpick, as I’m sure service is variable. On this particular Saturday though, my only possible complaint was that it got a little smoky inside from others who had ordered fondue. This didn’t impact the warmth or quality of my food, even though I was quite close to the door when they were trying to air it out a bit. From what I could tell, a few regulars or locals were in and conversing with the server (who may have been the owner). Seeing so many locals there definitely inspired confidence, and the food delivered!

Amazing food! We had a chicken escalope (chicken breast) with mushrooms and sour cream, and a chicken escalope with ham and cheese, which were both absolutely delicious. We chose for the side potatoes gratin and probably made the best choice. They also brought us an extra side (can't remember if it was in the menu or not), made of cooked carrots and zucchini with some nice spices. We paid 26.5 euros for one escalope in July 2025. Perhaps a little pricy in general but I think not pricy for Chamonix. The service was on point as well. Highly recommend!

Hôtel Hameau Albert 1er is a luxurious establishment in Chamonix, run by the Carrier-Maillet family since its inception in 1903. The rooms are located in the historic building or in old alpine farms, and there's a restaurant with a Michelin-starred menu. The hotel's spa, Le Bachal, features an exquisite indoor/outdoor pool facing Mont Blanc and offers custom massages using eco-friendly Anne Semonin products.
By far the best hotel we experienced during our trip to France. The service was exceptional — attentive, warm. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the facilities were second to none: a beautiful pool and spa with stunning views, large and serene sauna and steam room. The views were breathtaking, and the property itself is both stunning and immaculately maintained. Truly a dream stay!

One of the best hotel experiences i have ever had. Its out of a story book. Picture Beauty and the beast coming to life. The staff was great, the grounds are spectacular. There are fruit trees, indoor outdoor pool, 360 views of the mountains. The hotel is right in the heart of town. I could go on and on for days if you are even remotely thinking about booking a place I can't say enough great things not only about the hotel but the town and people of Chamonix!!

What a beautiful and charming hotel in the lovely Chamonix! We loved the cozy wood cabin feel, adorned with vibrant flowers—such a special experience for us city dwellers. The attention to detail and the care the staff put into keeping everything immaculate truly impressed us. We especially appreciated the hotel shuttle service, which made getting to and from the train stations and the Aiguille du Midi cable car seamless. Our driver even made sure we boarded the correct train for our next journey—above and beyond! Our little one had a great time at the small playground by the entrance. Both on-site restaurants—including the Michelin-starred one—were exceptional. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and delicious, served in a lovely garden setting. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of apples available in the lounge throughout the day—we happen to love apples!

They just can’t do enough for you, what lovely staff. Presents at check-in, check-out, the rarified pillow chocolate. Wahoo The rooms are a little small and perhaps not the comfiest bed of my life, but nicely decorated and modern. The breakfast spread doesn’t look huge and so we were a bit stingy and didn’t fork out the €34 each. Don’t forget that omelettes are an extra too… Would come again but maybe not pay some of the mega high prices in peak season P.S. they do offer a shuttle to the ski station if you’re worried it’s too far away. It’s a pretty big hill anyway so you’d want that from any hotel

It’s rare to find a hotel that checks every box but this one is it. We had an absolutely incredible stay here. The service is impeccable and the grounds, spa and pool are so so lovely. If we ever come back there’s no question we’ll be staying here again.

just unbelievable. i have stayed at a LOT of hotels and honestly this is up there with the best of the best. our room had the most STUNNING window view of mont blanc to wake up to every morning, was so, so clean and well laid out and had a HUGE bathroom with tub and shower. we were in the more modern of the hotels, and from check in to check out it was just an absolute five star experience. the grounds are probably the nicest i've ever seen at a hotel, between the gardens, the blooms, the bees and the pool area. it's perfectly tucked away off the main road so everything in Chamonix is close but when we would come home at night it felt private and quiet. service was astounding. simply cannot say enough good things and cannot wait to be back!

According to the group with whom i went there, the food was "ok", i sont share this opinion, specially for the price. I ordered goat cheese and honey raviolis, they were completely see through, lackluster in flavors and quantity. The salad was very simple, just a few leaves and some generic dressing. For the price, i would have expected more, even the quantity was small. Seems like the restaurant just takes advantage of being in a touristic spot where the customers wont come back. Hence the lack of quality in food and service.

Cosy restaurant to hide from the snow. Very French style, very slow paced. Tried their tartiflette as it is a dish my French friend recommended. Tastes very rich and milky. Hard for a person who likes milder or blander food but if you like rich and cheesy stuffs, you can try it. Take your time to eat in this restaurant. Take a chill pill.

Definitely make a reservation because they will ask you to leave if you do not have one even if you were already inside drinking. They did make an exception and gave us a table and in the middle of ordering our food, the waiter left and did not came back because they are pretty understaffed. The food is just not worth it, the fondue was one of the worst I’ve tried, with no consistency nor flavour. The ravioli were terrible and mushed together. Definitely there are better places to have dinner with much better service and quality

Worst restaurant I’ve been to in 30 years. Typical commercialized dump, take the tourist for a ride. Bad service coupled with extremely poor quality food… I could not even chew my meat it was one big piece of sinew and when we were trying to give feedback to the manager, he starts arguing with us. Everything is very thoughtful and full of personal touches. As entree, the foie Gras and scargot were spectacular, and the cheese white wine fundue was obscenely delicious. It's the type of place that won't make you a well done steak, because it kills the flavor. Wife gets upset, but I stand by the quality! At the end, the meat was juicy and delicious, at the right spot. Friendly staff adds up to the experience. One remark: need to leave a deposit upfront for the reservation; but it's worth it

Exceptional food, Michelin star worthy, in a quaint setting. The duck was perfectly cooked, medium rare. The escargot were exquisitely cooked in a parsley butter and oil mixture. Second visit and this was even better than my first visit back in July of 2024. Tonight I had the locally caught Trout for my main and it had such great flavor with the exquisite hollandaise sauce. The mashed potatoes were more like a whipped cream worthy of gods. Wonderful flavors. The pasta entree with bacon smelled so good and tasted even better. Excellent bread and fruity wine. Topped it off with a mouse or ice cream mixed with fresh blood oranges and it was a taste explosion for my mouth. Wonderful. Don’t know when I’ll next be in Chamonix but when I am I will definitely be dining here again.

Simply incredible, amazing food and service. Before you visit DO READ the concept of this restaurant so you understand. You won't be presented with a menu, but three alternatives on the number of tasting dishes. The attentive, friendly staff will then ask of you have any allergies or food dislikes so the chef knows what not to prepare for you. Then sit back, enjoy the wine and wait to be surprised and delighted with each dish presented to you with an explanation by the smiling server. This is a MUST place for food lovers (NOT FOR FUSSY EATERS) and it's just delightful not having to choose from a menu but instead be served delicious local seasonal food. Each dish is presented as a work of art and a taste sensation! Some may say the the price is expensive, BUT just look at the care and skill involved - that doesn't come cheap so just suck up the cost and know it will be an experience that lives on for a long time! The setting is beautiful - as this was the summer we ate outside with views of the mountains in a tranquil, fairy light lit garden. A memorable experience overall!

Excellent food, 100% locally sourced with great, attentive service and lovely dining atmosphere. This is just outside of Chamonix. If you walk there, you’ll think you’re heading to the wrong location because you’ll walk by a gravel company but trust the directions. This is a fixed menu restaurant that is determined by the chef. You and your party just need to determine if you all will get the 3 , 5, or 7 course meal. Each of you can choose vegetarian, pescatarian or meat but you all have to have the same number of courses. The 3 course was like 58€, and I believe the 5 was something like 70€ to 80. Anyway, the food was delicious and well prepared. We dined outside on the grassy front yard which I think is where most of the dining is. You can see the mountains of course, there’s a little water feature and you can hear the river nearby. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Our group thought it was the best overall dining experience of our TMB experience.
Linda D — Google review
If you wish to dine in an a la carte restaurant this might not be the restaurant for you. At this place you need to respect the policy of the restaurant and leave yourself at the hands of the chef. You can only pick the category of food: namely, meat, fish or vegan and your drinks, as well as home many dishes each will be served. At each table there must be an equal number of plates for all selected but each can choose a different food category. All the rest e.g. sauce, meat type, garnish, desert, etc are all decided by the chef(s). This place is not cheap but provides excellent service, well designed and executed dishes (with fresh and balanced choices of ingredients) as well as a nice collection of wines and beverages. Some small snacks came as a treat from the restaurant. If you like the concept you should at least try it once...the experience was nice...

Best place we ate at in Chamonix. My wife and I stayed in the town for a week, hiked and ate at all the best restaurants. We chose this place for a “more casual, good eats” night. We were both blown away at the quality, creativity, and perfect food we ate. The atmosphere was a fine dining, relaxed with carnival lights in the lawn vibe. A fun, eclectic aesthetic. Way better than the Michelin star restaurant we went to in Chamonix, which was a disappointment since we normally love Michelin star restaurants.

Amazing dinner with local produce in season. Don't miss this place and their lovely blind/surprise menu in Chamonix! It's a lovely small place just 5 min outside of the centre with great food, atmosphere and wines. Definitely coming back!

L’index was recommended by our hotel and we are so glad we went. Every dish was excellent and sourced with local ingredients. It really was one of best meals I’ve eaten. Has a great quiet location surround by trees with an outdoor dining space (indoor looked great too). Service was excellent, explaining the food and origins as well.

With its off-the-beaten-track location and delectable cuisine, this restaurant comes highly recommended for those seeking an authentic taste of the mountains.
Very nice and recommended restaurant near Chamonix 3 minutes walking from the train station. We dine there for 2 consecutive days, different dishes each time, and all the dishes were very delicious with generous portions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so warm and calming. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is Kids friendly. They have a set menu for the kids below 12 years old. Should try if you visit Chamonix.
Houssam D — Google review
We visited Les Praz for a mountain biking tour and had several dinners here because it was conveniently located in walking distance from our Airbnb. We had steak, pizzas, raclette, and many desserts here. Everything was delicious! And you simply cannot beat the mountain views!
Becca H — Google review
It was fine, the burger could use some help with the meat. Pizza is decent. Good service, a little further away from the main strip, but that shouldn't stop you from trying it out.
Anil P — Google review
Restaurant is located very close to the cable car but far from the city center. Maybe because of this food was so delicious that this is by far the best food I’ve had in Chamonix. Very high quality and decent portions.

Lovely little restaurant with a large assortment of pizza and salads. Really tasty dishes. The pizza was delicious and the combination with the salad is really interesting. And the salads themself are absolutely amazing. By the way, the big salad is really big. I've been there three evenings, always the place had some free space but i would sudgest a reservation in advace. The stuff were friendly and helpful, the food was prepared quickly . Great place!!

Twise eat here becasu near the horel and always have space but gor the reason. Nothing special low quality food. The meat was unchewvable. Couldn't finish even half of it, tired of chewing 😥😥😒 The waiter came to take half empty plate but didn't even bother asking if the food was OK. Waisted money and spoiled dinner
Nataly * — Google review
The positives: cozy environment The negatives: - Gustatory experience. I flew across the world from Australia to experience an ‘incroyable’ French fondue at Chamonix. This expectation was not close to met. It was ordinary tasting, similar to what I would expect from a supermarket fondue. - The bread tasted old it, a bit dry and mushy, perhaps a couple of days old. I refused to believe they could serve old bread at Chamonix especially with the prices they charge. But my instincts were proven right by the mould we found on the bread halfway through the dinner… - Service. The waitresses were friendly, but I was placed to sit on their passage corridor and was hit in the back by multiple plates of food whilst on my seat. We moved seats on our own accord. - Price. I understand the price is on par with Chamonix standards, but the quality is below what I expected so I simply cannot justify it. Hope this helps inform future visitors considering a stop over at this establishment for a fondue.

The Brasserie de L'M is a popular restaurant in downtown Chamonix with a large terrace that offers spectacular views of the Mont Blanc range. The menu includes dishes such as fondue, raclette, tartiflette and cured meats, as well as fish and pasta dishes. There are also yummy desserts on offer at this Chamonix restaurant.
We had a group of twelve people walking in for dining. The hosts Enzo and Jeanne accommodated our requests professionally with great courteousness. The foods were great and the service was prompt. The hosts were very knowledgeable and served our orders beyond our expectations. This has been the best meal service we as a group had during our two week’s Tour de Mont Blanc.

Foods were delicious. However, a bit expensive for lunch with a bill around €100 for 2 people. But it’s Chamonix!
My M — Google review
We didn't eat here or in the actual restaurant, but we had a couple cocktails on the outside terrace. The location is amazing, as it faces the Mont Blanc skyline and is directly next to a busy Chamonix street. The terrace is full of comfy deck chairs and the drinks pretty decent too. Would highly recommend stopping by
C C — Google review
A typical tourist place. None of the dishes were delicious. If you want to eat delicious food, find another place... Fortunately, the waitress was very nice 🤗 and the terrace is pleasant in good weather.
Mónika B — Google review
The staff when we entered seems uninterested and rude. The spot has a nice view and is located centrally in town. The food and drink is cheap, and there’s a nice atmosphere in the outside area. Not sure I’d give it another visit but the view is rather nice.
Jon — Google review
I ordered the €125 beef dish and it unfortunately came out actually raw with minimal seer, about 15 minutes after ordering. The cuts of beef were at least 2" thick, it takes much longer than 15 minutes to cook beef that thick. I had to ask them to take it back, and when it came back the outsides were cooked but still there was .5 inch of raw in the middle. Just a note to the cook, you can use your tongs on the top of the steak to feel how firm the beef is, if it feels like jelly it needs more time.
William B — Google review
I dined at Brasserie de L'M because of the good reviews. The food and atmosphere was good, but the service wasn't. I received multiple dishes at the same time rather than in courses. The server was casual and seemed offended that I didn't order more food. The French onion soup was average. The country pate was good.

Le Stone is a family-friendly bar and restaurant located in Argentiere. The place offers a relaxed atmosphere, with separate dining and bar areas. They serve food from 6 pm onwards, including kid-friendly options like pizza with half and half toppings. Customers have praised the accommodating staff and the lively atmosphere, often featuring live music. Despite its unassuming appearance, Le Stone surprises visitors with quick service and delicious food, such as their renowned pizzas and refreshing drinks.
It’s our regular place when we come every quarter. Our kids love their pizza and pasta. Very family friendly and the price is reasonable. The staff is quick and speaks good English. We always have a good time. They have a good gluten free option on pasta and meat options. Thank you for the good food and friendly service.

Nice place to have dinner. The bruschetta was very good. We also tried the gnocchi pomodora and the mushroom 🍕 and both were good, but I would say the pizza was better. I wanted to try the ice cream but was too full. They had some good beer selection as well. I would go back for pizza for sure.

It's a lively restaurant near forest hiking trails and offers a wide variety of menu options. It has large tables for large groups. I think it's a great venue for this area. We had a late dinner. The food was delicious, and the waiter was friendly and engaging to talk to. Our family of four had a wonderful time.
Gülcan B — Google review
Our group of five stopped here for dinner after a very rainy TMB hike. It was a busy night but the service was good & attentive, although it took a while to get our mains. Regardless, the pizza and lasagna were incredible. I wish we had room for dessert because it also looked tempting when we saw other tables. Cool atmosphere, lighting and music.

A most welcoming establishment. The French onion soup can only be described as comforting blanket of warmth and joy. Relaxed and not pretentious dining Thank you from a weary traveller
Derek M — Google review
Frankly the worst attitude I have ever seen from a waitress. We sat down waiting for her to take our order (or greet us) and she saw us from the bar and yelled: “Yes?” like it’s my job to take her order, not the other way around. I understand that sometimes you have to order at the bar, but a “Hello, please order inside” won’t hurt anyone. I can’t say anything about the food or drinks in there because we obviously left after this encounter. Too bad, getting paid to act like this is really embarrassing.

The Hotel Aiguille du Midi features rustic, unpretentious lodgings with a restaurant and lounge/bar on site. The pool and tennis court are also available to guests.
It was so wonderful to return to Hotel Aiguille du Midi after 15 years. The hotel is in the most beautiful of locations, with absolutely stunning mountain views on their doorstep. It is a 5th generation family hotel (which is such a rarity), it has a lovely friendly, welcoming atmosphere, delicious breakfasts and dinners and cozy traditional decor - it was like coming home each day, at the end of a day of skiing. Access to Chamonix and its resorts was easy with the bus and train. We loved our 8 day stay and will definitely be back as soon as we can.
Heidi M — Google review
Lovely hotel in a stunning location. Family run, with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food, with a particularly generous breakfast, cheese, and desert selection. Rooms are a bit basic but charming, and the bathrooms have been modernized throughout. Close to train and bus connections making it easy to get anywhere you want in the valley.

Great time staying here. Staff were lovely, enjoyed the Sauna twice. Sauna is a good temperature, unlike some hotels which have them a bit too cold. Table tennis and the bar were good, pool table has room for improvement. They even accommodated a small brekkie for us for our alpine starts on two days. Great views from the hotel.

From the moment I arrived, Carla warmly welcomed me and she explained everything to me regarding my stay ahead. I Stayed at Hotel Aiguille Du midi for one month, which is the longest I’ve ever stayed at a hotel while travelling o/s This time around I didn’t even get through all of the hikes that I could have! Every day, it was amazing going out in either direction with several cable cars taking me up to wherever I wanted to go with loads of options of how many hours I’d choose to hike and at a pace that feels right for me. ( The multi pass for the cable cars which included bus train was very good value . It also had extra things Included that you could enjoy😀 It was a great location situated in the middle with cable cars on either side that would take you up to the Alps to do loads of hiking ! It was actually slightly to the middle and a beautiful location which was very nice to have that peacefulness without it being totally secluded and the train was only one minute walk away!(No noises from the train station at all!)

The Perfect Base Camp for UTMB and a Chamonix Stay After an extensive search for the right place to stay for my UTMB race, I chose the Aiguille du Midi hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We got in late without having eaten, and the staff kindly prepared a simple but delicious plate of ham, cheese, and vegetables for us—a gesture we truly appreciated. The highlight was waking up on our first morning, drawing the curtains, and being greeted by a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Mont Blanc massif. We booked a superior room, and it was worth it for the extra space and that unforgettable vista. The breakfast buffet is incredible value and a must-have. For nearly the same price as a coffee and pastry in town, you get a vast spread including coffee, cereals, yogurt, fresh crepes, juices, bread, cheeses, eggs, and cold cuts. We started every day fully fueled. The hotel grounds are fantastic, featuring a large swimming pool, a tennis court, and plenty of green space to relax or wander. It’s a great environment for both families and pets. Location-wise, it's very convenient. The hotel is just 120-150from two bus stops and 150m from the Les Bossons train station. A major perk is the free train pass to Chamonix provided by the hotel, though the scenic 3km walk into town is also a great option for exercise. Although we didn't eat lunch/dinner at the hotel, it's great to know they're available. Note that while there's no water in the room, complimentary water is provided in the restaurant downstairs. Also laundry services are available for about 10euros (washing and drying) but I saw I sign in the laundry room that reads 8euros. Maybe they increased the price😉 I wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend the Aiguille du Midi to anyone visiting the area. * During the UTMB event every hotel tend to be more expensive. Make sure you book in advance.

Les Écuries de Charamillon is a versatile establishment that operates as a restaurant during the winter and transforms into a gite in the summer. The menu is regularly updated to cater to diverse tastes, offering homemade dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. Situated in an operational alpine pasture, this location was once used as stables for producing cheese from Herens cows.
Incredible views, friendly staff, and good food for when you're doing the tour du mont blanc! Slept pretty decent here. Bathrooms and showers are in separate building but made for beautiful views early morning getting ready to hike!

We sleep in a tent so can’t judge on accomodation but super friendly, good food and (if you’re early enough) a hot shower. The best refuge we’ve stayed in
Joni V — Google review
One of the best refuges on the TMB! Pros: - Rooms were comfortable - Food was delicious & plentiful (lunch, dinner, breakfast & packed lunch). Best bread! - Wonderful facilities. Spacious bathroom with sink to wash clothes & ample drying areas - Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Happy to discuss trail options for the following day - allowed us to check in quite early - beautiful views and chairlift nearby
Sonia D — Google review
We didn’t stay here but ate at the restaurant after a hike in summer. It is the perfect reward for anyone willing to earn their lunch. And what a lunch! We tucked into bubbling hot pots of garlicky, cheesy bread—an unapologetically rich, traditional dish that put me into a cheesy delerium.

Worse food yet in Chamonix and that says a lot as it’s not known for good food. 30mins wait, 20mins eating and then 20mins for the bill to arrive…. Not the best use of time. Food was dreadful, last weeks fries, except the burger which was nice for 39euros….

seem to be various restaurants around despite only being one location on maps. had a hot dog, and unlike the comments that said they were inedible, i loved mine. friendly guy making the hotdog, sort of surly cashiers who weren't as friendly. really good hotdog, perhaps a little expensive but not insane.

Amazing location! Super friendly staff, we ordered drinks, were able to sit where we wanted, prices are super fair (for American standards), AND they accept Apple Pay, Credit Card and everything needed to make a customer happy! Very pleased with my experience here, recommended. We had this experience, after being sent away for ‘not having cash’ from Refuge Blanc after hiking there for 3+ hrs.

Reserved for 1pm but waited 20 minutes after that for seating, superb waiters but understaffed massively. Portion sizes were tiny, and the burger was basic but 42 euros! Avoid, there's better places up the slopes.

After the hike to this cable car, hunger was calling. And oh my what a lucky find. We had a great meal of Red mullet with risotto and vegetables….it was superb, truly. Restaurant Frometon is a haven for cheese enthusiasts, offering specialties like cheese fondue and cheese rocklets. While some visitors felt that the menu was limited and expected more from such an upscale establishment, others found the food to be exceptionally tasty. The restaurant's commitment to local cheese traditions shines through in their dishes, with pickled vegetables and salami receiving high praise. The friendly staff, good wine selection, and off-the-beaten-path location add to the appeal of this charming spot.
Absolutely wonderful food! The servers were nice and helpful, had good recommendations etc. The acoustics could be a lot better though.
Katrine B — Google review
Fondue itself was really good, but bread was stale at the bottom of the basket. The staff is great, but they need more people working during peak hours. The server, who took very good care of us, was stretched thin.
Divino ( — Google review
First dinner for our honeymoon, and this place delivered. We got served by the two Greeks, phenomenal service. They recommended our dinner choices, we did the Fondue, and the Chicken entree. Well done, cheese was unreal.
Peter S — Google review
The food was extremely unexciting. The fondue was fine but not at all thrilling. The chicken and meat entrees were bland. The fries were soggy. The service was not particularly good - with one relatively friendly server and one who was much less friendly and quite inattentive. The ambience was pleasant. Overall we felt this restaurant was hugely over rated and overpriced and would probably not return.
Rachelle H — Google review
Terrible place. We could only order fondue or raclette because the kitchen was closed. Fair enough. But the fondue was nothing but disappointing. Starting with the bread that was like chewy textured and looked like somebody has cut it with their teeth. Also, it came in this basket which required a lot of hand contact and didn’t seemed it has been cleaned for a long time. The charcuterie was miserable for the price paid. Not worth it
Micaela S — Google review
Excellent choix This place was recommended for the Fondue Food was very good, service fast and friendly, highly recommend
Helene B — Google review
This place is heaven for the cheese lovers. They specialize on cheese fondue and cheese rocklets. However I gave this place 4 stars, call me spoiled (but it is so easy to get spoiled by quality of food in France), but i expected more for my taste buds from such fine establishment. To me it was more upscale diner rather than a restaurant. For instance what they called croutons were just cut pieces of bread. Menu is also rather small. But again everything was very tasty even boiled potatoes. I guess it is just me. Anyway, if you like cheese you will love this place.
