I want to share my experience with Grand Dragon Ladakh & this is a appreciation post for all the staffs of the hotel & why such a brand value that they carry with them.Due to unprecedented circumstances at Leh my Ladakh trip got cancelled on 27th August 2025 and i had to ask for a refund request by reaching out to the hotel. Quoting here Prachi & the entire team,they were so kind enough to understand the crisis & refunded the entire amount without a single word back.I promised them that I will be back when things become normal & my itinerary will be again booked with them while i visit Leh in the near future.This was a big miss for me but at the same time,I really appreciate the service & the courteous behaviour from the entire group..Keep up the great work!! I stayed at Hotel Indus Valley in September during my Ladakh Marathon, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. This has been my favourite hotel stay ever — they took care of me from the moment I arrived.On arrival, I was welcomed warmly by Mr. Mang, Jigmet, Vivek, and Ms. Tani, with the traditional white scarf (Khata) and a cup of fragrant Kahwa. I was then guided to my beautiful mountain-view room, which was large, spacious, modern, and offered the most stunning sunrise views.The food was excellent — Chef Vikas Kumawat is truly a gem, and every meal was delicious. The hospitality of the support staff, especially Raj Hela, Rahul Das, and Pratap, was top-notch and made my stay even more pleasant.The hotel’s location is perfect — right in the heart of Leh, just a short walk from Downtown and the Leh Market. I would come back in a heartbeat and truly wish I could have stayed longer.A special mention again to Mr. Mang, Jigmet, Vivek, Ms. Tani, Chef Vikas Kumawat, and the ever-helpful support team — Raj Hela, Rahul Das, and Pratap — for making me feel at home throughout my stay. This hotel has a wondeful staff!! Starting from the reception, the house keeping and the kitchen, the staff here is very helpful and friendly. Chef Pawan especially, he gets involved with the guests and caters well to their needs with a smiling face. The restuarant team (Shahid,Rohit,Subhojit,chef Harandra) is ever ready to assist and serve. Stazin, Balbeet and the ladies attending the guests are always eager to help and to go out of their way. There are only two hotels in Leh with air conditioning and people coming from North need that because of tolerance to cold climates. In June it was much needed. We had a valley spa room with room and jacuzzi and it was enjoyable. The food is varied and you will find something for every one.

It's a nice, clean hotel, very near to market. Just the services were bit slow due to under capacity of staff when I went. Rest everything is great about the hotel.

Leh Palace is a historic gem with beautiful Tibetan-style architecture. The rooftop gives a stunning panoramic view of Leh city and the mountains. The road to the palace is proper, making it easy to visit. A must-see spot for history and amazing views.🏰🏰

Leh place is an absolutely beautiful tourist spot ageing to old ancient 16th century built up. This place has entry fees. This building has 9 floors and goes in a trapezium shape so that base is able to take the weight of the upper floors. This palace is a enginnering marvel of ancient times. Doors are situated on East as per Tibetan norms. Every floor has quite a number of rooms and are quite spacious. Rooms decreases as we go up and 9th floor has only one room. Situated at a hill top this palace gives a perfect view of the Leh city overall which looks mesmerizing. Must visit if you are in Leh.

Situated in the heart of the city and near to Leh market. Good views from the balconies of the palace and the roof. Walk 50 meters from the parking ,Steep steps to climb, not for old age people and the children who needs to be carried. Entry ticket is minimal, amongst the palaces if one has to choose to see only one,I would suggest Shey palace. Nice temples and magnificent view from the too of Shey palace .

The palace was good, you get the best view of Leh city. The entry ticket is just ₹25/- per person but keep it mind that it has alot of stairs and if we got to see any artifact in the palace that will be cherry on top. The palace was empty. Must visit at the time of sunset, you'll love it

Historical 17th century palace offering stunning views of Leh and surroundings. Entrance fee for foreigners is 300 rupees - the highest fee I've paid in Ladakh. Although the palace looks big, only 4 rooms are open to the public, three of them holding photography/video exhibitions of the area, plus the private royal shrine. The palace has however habilitated three terraces at the top to see the view. I was a bit disappointed by the restoration work done in the few areas open to the public, looked a bit modern, but perhaps reinforcing the corridors with concrete was necessary for structural safety. The walk up the palace is also stunning.

We rode up to Shanti Stupa on a rented bike and had the loveliest experience. There’s free parking and a small ₹30 entry fee, and the person at the counter was genuinely kind. The souvenir shops near the entrance were helpful and sweet too. There’s a clean, free washroom before the climb and resting spots along the way, which I really appreciated (I needed a few breaks 😅). The climb is gentle, no stairs, and the view at the top is stunning—so worth it. The Shanti Stupa Café is beautiful, with friendly staff and no touristy overcharging—even for bottled water! Such a peaceful place with a calm vibe all around. 100/10 would recommend. :)

I recently visited Shanti Stupa in Leh and had a truly memorable experience. The site, perched high on a hill, offered a serene atmosphere with very few tourists around, making it peaceful and uncrowded. This made it easy to capture beautiful, tranquil photos without crowds in the background—especially during sunset, which is the best time to visit for breathtaking views of Leh Valley and the glowing mountains. The panoramic view from the stupa at sunset is absolutely stunning, with the changing hues of the sky casting a magical glow over the valley and stupa itself. The climb up is rewarding, but do arrive at least 30–45 minutes before sunset for the best light and plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.

The Shanti Stupa is a white-domed Buddhist stupa situated on a hilltop in Leh, Ladakh. Built in 1991, it is a symbol of peace and prosperity and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and Leh city. Purpose: It was built by a Japanese Buddhist organization, The Japanese for World Peace, to promote world peace and commemorate 2,500 years of Buddhism. Builder: The stupa was built under the guidance of Japanese Buddhist monk, Gyomyo Nakamura. The 14th Dalai Lama himself enshrined the relics of the Buddha at its base. Architecture: The gleaming white structure has two levels. The first level depicts the life and teachings of Buddha, while the second level features a central golden Buddha image. Location: It is located in the Chanspa area, about 5 kilometers from Leh town. Due to its elevation, it is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. Accessibility: You can reach the stupa by car or by climbing the steep steps to the top. Best time to visit: Morning or late evening are ideal for enjoying the tranquil atmosphere and spectacular views. Hours: It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Things to remember: Given the high altitude, it is recommended to carry water and take your time climbing the stairs.

We visited Shanti Stupa on 13th September 2025, which happened to be a weekend. Although there was a crowd, the place still felt peaceful and calm. The entry fee was nominal, and since it is located at a height, we had to walk uphill. We did experience some breathlessness on the way, but once we reached the top, the effort was truly worth it. The panoramic view of Leh city from the top was stunning, especially during sunset, when the entire landscape looked magical. Many visitors were taking photos and videos, while others were engaged in prayers, adding to the spiritual atmosphere. A must-visit place in Leh, offering both serenity and breathtaking views.

A must-visit spot in Leh! The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking — you can see the whole city and snow-clad mountains glowing at sunset. The climb has quite a few steps, but it’s totally worth it for the peace and calm you feel once you’re up there. The stupa itself is beautifully maintained, especially in the evening when it’s lit up. A perfect place to sit quietly, reflect, and soak in Ladakh’s serenity.

One the most visited Places when In Leh. I won't speak about the history but some important pointers ... The Stupa is on a high altitude make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing as it blows cold wind , the temples inside need you remove your footwear so make sure you have thick socks to avoid cold feet . The views are beautiful and it's a feeling to be felt . Make sure you move clock wise and not anti clock wise around the structures ... It's based on the concept of the wheel of life etc.... Taking back the beautiful feeling ...❤️

Shanti Stupa is another famous tourist spot in Leh. It's a religious place and has an entry fees to enter the place. The mountain ranges of Ladakh are visible from here and again the entire city of Leh is visible from here from the top so it's an amazing view to cherish. Do come here before the sunset else it will look very dull.

A Truly Memorable Stay at Ladakh Sarai We spent a few days at Ladakh Sarai in one of their duplex cottage rooms, and it was a fantastic experience. The setup is ideal for groups of 4–5 people, with two spacious rooms spread across two floors, each with its own attached washroom. The rooms are well-equipped with modern amenities, including efficient in-built oil heating panels that kept us warm and comfortable. The property features expansive lawns and plenty of open, shared spaces that are perfect for relaxing or catching up with fellow travelers. The food was excellent, offering a delightful variety of cuisines that exceeded our expectations. What truly stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the entire team—from the resort managers to the serving staff. Their attentiveness and friendliness made our stay even more special. While the resort is a bit removed from Leh town, that distance adds to the peacefulness and charm of the location. The views from the rooms are modest, but the upper floor offers glimpses of majestic peaks in the backdrop. Overall, Ladakh Sarai is an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a serene and enriching stay. Highly recommended!

We had a very comfortable stay here. Traveling with a toddler means a lot of specific requests for the chef. The hotel was super nice and we are glad we decided to stay here. Highly recommended if travelling with family.

We stayed in Ladakh Sarai Resort, Leh for 6 days out of our 8 days. We had very comfortable stay in the pleasant atmosphere surrounded by snow clad mountains. Rooms are well maintained ,very nice staff. We felt like we came back to our home, whenever we returned to the resort after our trip to other parts of beautiful part of our country. Food is exceptionally tasty.

Staying here for 6 days feels like home, one of our best hotel during our tour to leh ladakh. Their freshly home grown vegetables to the table added a more pricy to the resort. Rooms are near and clean, service was top notch, good and helpful staff. Food is too good and appreciable! Will surely recommend this resort to our family and friends .

The hotel Abduz is in great location, 5 mins from airport. we were greeted by staff on arrival with great smiles & were very attentive to our needs & guide. we were looked after by lovely staff beyond our imagination Jegnat, Jilender, Krishna & the hotel service staff. we also had an upgraded room as it was my 65th birthday. The hotel is exceptionally beautiful with great decor, especiaaly the art painting done by the owner of Abduz, this was seen all over the reception & the rooms. We certainly will be coming back & recommend to our friends & families Thank you to all staff at hotel Abduz as this has made our holidays with great memories to look ahead.

I have bin to so many country’s 5 and 7 star hotels but service I got from this hotel is superb every single member if staff is polite and very helpful In dinning room they fed us like guest in our house words can describe how please I am with there service Everything is excellent rooms front desk excellent excellent excellent and can’t wait to visit again

There are two blocks here. The photos posted everywhere is of the new block and not the old one. The rooms in new block are better but old block look like a lodge and the rooms are not so well kept. For example the curtain rings were out, the bathing cubicle in the bathroom will barely allow you to move there as it is hardly two feet wide and in my room even the door of this bathing cubicle was missing and once I raised this issue they did put a curtain there. One may see the photo. The staff were not professional enough and were not even ready to acknowledge the problem. The consumables like shampoo bottles or the tea kits were not replenished on daily basis. One had to ask for it. Overall not a satisfactory stay.

Where do I start. The Zen was a great experience. We spent a total of 7 days to acclimate before going to Zanskar and after. The hotel was beautiful, clean, fabulous restaurant and staff, and even a little history about the hotel and the Dalai Lama visit. The Manager and the staff were so wonderful to us. We felt like family when we left. The food was delicious! My fave was the Paneer, but it was all delish for breakfast and dinner. Overall, a great time and experience. Will definitely go back when in Leh again.

The room given to us initially was on 4th floor. No lift, so i had my doubts if this floor was regularly used. I was told we were being upgraded. When we reached the room, it was not clean and dust was under the table and under the bed. When I informed housekeeping they said FLOOR was opened only this morning. The staff then again started cleaning. I went down to talk to the manager, the receptionist was non chalant , no reaponse, just " so Sorry" upon raising hue and cry I found the manager and he offered to change the room. The other room on 1 st floor was fine. Poor show as far as staff response is concerned. I hope they educate their reception and housekeeping staff.

Truly an amazing hotel. The rooms were great, all the amenities were in place and the food was really nice too! The highlight however would definitely be the staff. They were super friendly and helpful. From driving us to the hospital at night for an emergency check up to providing us oxygen cannisters and helping us with every little thing. They even made special food on our request and packed is breakfast for our early morning flight. We were super grateful for their help and reassurance. We stayed at Sangaylay Palace, Leh for the first two days of our trip ( 21-23rd May 2025) and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by their warm hospitality. As soon as we stepped out of the car, staff members rushed to help with our luggage — they didn’t let us carry a single thing. We noticed they provided this thoughtful service to every guest. The hotel has a three-storey building with no lift, and we stayed in a premium room on the third floor. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with refreshing drinks. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with an air purifier, hot and cold AC, 24-hour hot water, and all necessary toiletries. Our stay included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a good variety, while dinner was made to order. Though there was no buffet at dinner, the staff gladly prepared whatever we requested, and the food tasted quite good. The view from our room was beautiful. The hotel also offered pick-up and drop-off services to the local market, which was just 10 minutes away. Leh airport was around 15 minutes from the property, making it very convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Sangaylay, The combination of great service, comfortable rooms, and a helpful staff made our experience delightful. The food was consistently fresh, flavorful, and served with warmth by Mr. Sanjay and Mr. Pawan, two of the most courteous waiters we've come across. Mr. Santosh, the captain, ensured that every meal service was perfectly coordinated. We truly appreciated his attention to detail and hospitality. Our rooms were always spotless and comfortable, all thanks to the diligent efforts of the housekeeping team—Mr. Ravinder, Mr. Narengen, and Ms. Jamuna. Their efficiency and kindness added to the overall sense of being well cared for. What makes Sangaylay Palace stand out is not just its great location or amenities, but the people who run it with heart. Their teamwork, humility, and dedication to guest satisfaction made our stay in Leh truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ladakh. We will surely return!

Awesome experience overall. Mr. Sonu, the manager is very prompt in dealing all kind of your need. They have their travel desk and can arrange Pick-up Drop as well. Go for it. The pictures you see are from Special arrangements they did to celebrate one of ours birthday.

I am a very critical person in general. It's not easy to please me, given that I have always stayed in the best of places across the country. BUT this place is a gem. The service is awesome. Everybody is so prompt and so caring. I have visited many places but the people here will capture your heart. Next food is very good and homely. For somebody like me with gut issues and yet a food connoisseur found a really superb place. The view outside the windows and balcony of the room is that of snow capped mountains. Tomorrow it's time to leave and I am so emotional although I am not such kind of a person at all.

We stayed there for three nights. Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Location- Good. Though the hotel is little far from the Leh market but it’s peaceful & quiet. You get a clear view shanti stupa and surrounding mountains. No traffic or loud noises Food-They have buffet option in breakfast and dinner which has variety of options to pick from. Taste is good. Staff-Courteous and quick responsive. They even arrange breakfast for guests who have an early morning flight. We checked out 5:30 am and they packed breakfast. This was such a kind gesture. Thanks to the hotel staff. Facilities: Overall you can expect to get all the basic facilitate such as hot water, toiletries, Wi-Fi etc. Almost everything is available in the hotel.

The breathtaking view of the Shanti Stupa and snow-covered mountains added to the charm. Although the hotel is slightly away from the main market, the serene and quiet environment made it a perfect retreat. I’d also like to especially thank the owner, Mr. Salim, who personally ensured we were well taken care of, especially when we faced challenges while being stuck in Leh. His support and kindness made a big difference. All in all, the comfortable stay, delicious food, and remarkable service created an unforgettable experience.

Excellent experience...A boutique property that is just right in every way for a budget option. I had an awesome room, large and with balcony. The view was breathtaking.. And what is left behind is the staff and Manager Pankaj's going beyond everything to make sure you build pleasant memories... Stayed 2 days and came back for another day to find same room. Very good property, Housekeeping has been excellent, every staff is very kind, cooperative and keen to serve you 24 hours. Rooms are very spacious with availability of all amenities. Property is at good height which provides you view of entire Leh with one of the attractions Shanti Stupa visible and very near to the property. We had a pleasant stay at this hotel . Almost 2 hours after checkout we realised that we have left around 25 k cash in the hotel room. We called them and then the manager himself checked and informed us that he had found and returned our money. 👍👍

We stayed in the Maitreya Ladakh during our visit to Leh. the hotel is very hospitable with friendly staff. the food was to the mark - we thank guruji - mr Kishan - for the same. he saw to it that we were well fed and gave personal attention to my son. the war broke out and we were stranded due to closure of airports. the owner walked to us and assured that we can stay comfortably as much as we want and not to worry. I was thoroughly impressed by this gesture! I recommend this hotel to all Leh travellers and I am sure they too will feel the same!

We were a family of 4; two adults and two very young kids. We were given the family room. Loved staying in the family room which is quite big and the whole family could stay together. We loved the experience of staying here. The staff has great hospitality. The manager welcomes you personally and explains all the amenities. Another mention worthy thing is that when the owner sensed that our kids had a slight hesitation at the dinner buffet, he voluntarily offered some complementary finger food. Kids were overjoyed!

Among the most stunning hotels, I've ever seen in Ladakh. Staff that is friendly, welcoming, and giving. The highest quality materials were used to create the interiors. and have been brought in to create a perfect setting for us  The apartments have a stunning layout with a view of mountains. When it comes to hospitality and management, the quality is excellent. The cooks are all incredibly skilled at what they prepare. Amazing and delectable cuisine. Must go there.

I reserved it as a surprise birthday gift for a close buddy. It was amazing. The hospitality staff's assistance was invaluable when it came to putting up the table and adding decorations. I loved it The breakfast buffet at the hotel was excellent. The view from the rooms was the nicest attraction. It's difficult to find anything bad to say about this fantastic hotel. Let's just say that this is one of those hotels that you will really remember to avoid using a bunch of superlatives.

A warm welcome, humble and knowledgeable checkin staff. Very accommodating for our ask on rooms. Kitchen staff specifically R.P. Singh who has been serving there for 20 years was very hospitable. He managed the rest of the staff very well on all the demands coming through from all diversified customers/guests during breakfast and dinner. Seems like this establishment is operating from a very long time and it has a great touch of traditional Ladakh culture in its ambience. Cheers!

Clean cozy room with beautiful mountain view! Staff was hospitable and gave good tips on precautions to be taken on day 1 to avoid falling sick. One of the few hotels with a heater in the room, a must have if you're not used to the cold. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at Hotel Spic n Span in Leh and had a truly great experience. My room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making it a very comfortable stay. The restaurant served tasty food with a good variety, and the staff went out of their way to ensure everything was taken care of. The location is also convenient, close to the main market yet peaceful. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Hotel Spic n Span to anyone visiting Leh.

We charged for 4k to stay one night, The room was very very poor and old and had a wooden smell, No AC, and a hot water kettle in the room. Actually worth 1 or 2k only. The bathroom and toilet are in the very worst condition, the shower condition is poor. The service staff was good and polite, but not decision maker.

Rooms and bathroom are not maintained as showing at pictures..also Tv are not working.. Service is very pathetic.. Reception person are very rude.. Select the hotel only if you try for budget standard.. Overall not recommended..

Considering the price, Rooms are good enough. Food is great but the some of the service guys are rude and don't respond to the requests well. Otherwise, the stay in this hotel was pleasant enough. Its near to the Leh Market so we don't have to go far for some casual stroll and shopping in the market. I'd say price to service ratio is really good. Highly recommended for anyone with tight budget.

We had a comfortable stay at Ladakh residency, courtesy Aadil who is the manager at this property. He upgraded us and provided room with a good view of mountains on one side and Stupa on the other side. The hotel is well located - nearby Leh market and amidst quite a number of good bakeries and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and clean. The staff is very attentive and also helped us with necessary permits. We would love to come back again to this hotel.

One thing I noticed during my travel to Ladakh is that people are very courteous and the same held true for this hotel. Staff is always eager to help. A few things missing from what was promised as part of deluxe room- slippers, writing table, ironing board, mini-fridge, almirah, mineral water (they removed it from my final bill when I showed them their advertised list of amenities). Breakfast spread was okay. In-room dining service was botched up. We ordered something and a different version of dishes came. Hotel is in close vicinity to some excellent restaurants.

One of the best hotel in Leh near market. Q km walking distance. Rooms are big with comfortable bed and clean lining. It has big balcony with great view. we booked chospa hotel for our first stay in leh to celebrate my birthday and catch a breath as we acclimatise to the weather. saying i felt at home would be an understatement. the best hospitality, warmth of all the staff and some incredible food later it was hard saying bye for us. we loved every minute of our stay and they went an extra mile all day with the lovely gestures to make my birthday an unforgettable one. i highly recommend this beautiful hotel and their other property Kyaagar in Nubra. They both were my favourite experiences, with food made from the best of fresh ingredients, menus thought of so well and staff as warm as always. 10/10!!!

I decided to stay at Chospa Hotel on the recommendation of a friend and I could not have been happier with my stay. One of the highlights for me apart from the welcoming staff and wonderful rooms was the extensive breakfast buffet with the menu changing on the three mornings I was there. I look forward to returning to Chospa Hotel the next time I am Leh.

Got a massage there- very mediocre yet expensive. very rude front desk, the guy with his hair silked back charged my wife more money then agreed. When I called later to ask why that happened he lied and said she gave him a tip(he isn't the massage person!!) When I asked for a refund he started cursing me and threatened me not to be seen in the city or else..

Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Gyalpo Residency! The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with clean washrooms that add to the comfort. The staff is extremely helpful and cooperative, always ready to assist with a smile. The garden and terrace area are beautiful spots to relax, and the WiFi connection is excellent, which made the stay even better. The only downside was that the food was average and slightly more expensive compared to other hotels in the area. Overall, a great experience — comfortable stay, warm hospitality, and lovely ambiance!

We stayed here during the recent Leh curfew and had booked a suite. Hands down, this is the best place to stay in Leh. Everything about the property is so well thought out — the entire atmosphere is designed to make you feel calm and at peace. The food was excellent in both quality and taste, and the staff were exceptionally polite, humble, and attentive, even during those difficult days. A special mention to the lady at the reception — she truly stood out. We had originally booked two nights through Agoda at a great discounted rate but arrived a day early due to the curfew. Instead of charging us a higher rate directly, she suggested we book the extra night again through Agoda so we could keep the same discount. It’s rare to see such honesty and customer-first attitude in hospitality. She won our hearts the moment we stepped in!

I would give a 5 star rating for excellent hospitality, rooms, views, location and food at this hotel. Due to flight cancellations because to bad weather we extended our stay for 3 more days. The network connectivity was also affected , but the staff ensure we had all that we need to be comfortable and safe. Thank you Hotel Management and staff.

Very comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and a very nice restaurant area. Set in a peaceful location, a taxi would be needed to get to the central area but they are readily available. The staff were very friendly and helpful led by general manager Antony who went out of his way to make sure my stay was comfortable.

Overall feel of the property is better than a hotel. Individual rooms give it the resort feeling. Rooms are clean, But they are just closed with no views. Prices are reasonable and value for money. The road leading to the hotel is very very narrow and is two way. Quite dangerous practically if you are driving. Too steep if you need to walk as well. Food at the hotel is very good. On par with typical north Indian food from any good restaurant in North India. Ambience of resort is good. Overall value for money as long as you are paying a 3star hotel rates. But much better than the hotels on the same road.

We had a pleasant stay at Essence at Ladakh Resort in third week of August 2925.The hospitality, reception, and room hygiene were good. However, the food quality fell short of expectations despite the staff’s efforts to improve after our feedback. A major concern was discovering our winter fleece missing at checkout, which was later returned from a storeroom after we questioned the staff. While resolved, this incident left a poor impression and raises concerns about management practices. A wonderful place to stay in Leh.. the family that owns and operates the hotel are there to give attention to the smallest of requirements and help us have a comfortable stay. The service was always prompt and the rooms were maintained neat and clean. They also checked with us for our preferences for breakfast and dinner and served wonderful homely food with very less oil and spices as we had specifically requested for it. Whenever we asked them for Tea/coffee, it was immediately served with a smile! They also made immediate arrangements to get us a scooter/bike for rent on our free day making the entire experience smooth and hassle free. Overall, the Hotel is definitely recommended for a peaceful stay in Ladakh.

My experience here was just average. Hotel is decent, but the staff seems lost most of the times. Breakfast is also not upto the mark. Plus it's quite costly as compared to other hotels nearby Not recommended !!!

Pangong Hotel is located very close to leh market and centre. Without the hustle and bustle of the centre. The rooms are well maintained, the complimentary breakfast was good and kept changing every day and most importantly the staff made the state very comfortable. Ashish the manager, provided great service by extending my stay and my giving great advice on where all to go in Leh and how to get acclimatised. I'll be definitely choosing Pangong Hotel on my next trip.

Absolutely no complaints about this hotel. The staff had the rooms ready right after we checked in, with the extra bed ready to our disposal. They were extremely friendly and advised us regarding travelling. The food is excellent, with a wide variety of options, both veg and non veg. The option of courtyard parking is available too.

We stayed here at Serra Courtyard during our Leh/ Ladakh trip. Their service is very good. Food quality is excellent. Service by Sunny for breakfast and dinner was really appreciative as he would offer food items based on your choice. Clean, silent, tidy, spacious hotel with courteous and helpful staff. On first day i.e. 21st June 2024 one of our members had low oxygen problem. We informed to the receptionist. They took quick action, called a car and gave instructions to the driver, and after 4 hours of hospitalization our member was feeling good and back to the hotel . They daily ask if any of us are having any problem. Light goes away here but they arrange for backups . Their garden is good but Food allowed in dining area only . JULEH

One of the best hotels in leh. best staff and rooms.

Overall, it's a good hotel with spacious rooms and a small balcony, located just 10 minutes' walk from the Leh market. The staff's behavior was commendable, and the room offered all necessary refreshment items. The washroom was clean and well-maintained. One downside was the small parking space, and the major issue highlighted was the high service charges of 20% for in-room food delivery. This policy significantly added to the overall cost for guests, leading to disappointment. Despite the delicious and varied breakfast options, the management should seriously consider revising the service charges to enhance guest satisfaction and value for money..

Unfortunately we fell quite sick upon arrival in Leh, but luckily we found a room at Ashoka which made it all a Little Bit more bearable as Ashoka team took good care of us. Highly recommended accommodation with friendly stuff and nice and comfy rooms :)

The hotel looks good from the outside, but the interiors are just okay. The rooms are spacious, and the cleanliness is acceptable—not too good, not too bad. The washrooms are also manageable. The blankets could be cleaner, though. On the positive side, the staff is supportive, the food is average, and the market is conveniently nearby. A decent option if you’re looking for a basic stay.

Hotel is good and at a walkable distance from the main bazaar. The staff is cooperative and good. The rooms on the 1st floor are good and had a good view of the mountains. The Gr. floor rooms have windows with curtains but they are not good enough to cover the windows properly and one can see in the room from outside in the evening. The food was good and we didn't had any major issue with the food.

Went there last year. Great service, great location...a tranquil place which has a very scenic view from its balcony. We could even see the top of Shanti Stupa from there. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished, (they had electric kettle and hair dryer too) they gave us tea whenever we asked them.

The hotel is very well located close to the Main Square! Nice facilities, comfort and food. But the best was the kindness and effectiveness from the staff, especially from Hafiz at the Reception and the whole team from Housekeeping and the F&B. Strongly recommended.

Nice hotel. Has a traditional look. Part of package deal. However its multi-storey hotel. If you have directly flown to Leh and not acclimatized then climbing those couple of floors is a big task in itself. Rooms are comfortable. Toilets are clean. restaurant is good. If you have your own car, parking can be an issue. Has a small store and lawn inside. staff is polite. There is a terrace where you can get a nice Sunrise view in the morning. Drink lots of water for high altitude sickness and don't over exert yourself.

The check in time was 12 PM & as I was travelling I reached by 6pm. Mr Hafiz still asked me to wait for additional 20 mins with an excuse that the room was given & used by owner’s friends. This is not a representation of carelessness but carefree attitude they hold. Would not recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel, good rooms. They have inbuilt heater and that's the best part. They restuarant is also great. 24 x 7 hot water which is a rare thing to get in leh, great services. We stayed here for 3 nights and during the very low temperatures at night the room heaters were a great relief.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kart-Sey Hotel! The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special — from customizing our breakfast, serving us tea on arrival, and offering early check-in, to showing us around town and even helping our friends when they got lost on a hike. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, with the balcony room being a highlight. Hot water is typically available in the mornings, but honestly, a refreshing cold shower in Ladakh isn’t so bad now and then! Location is about a 25-minute walk from the city center, though taxis are very affordable. Highly recommend this place for its warmth, hospitality, and comfort.

We had a fantastic stay at Kart-Sey hotel! The room was very spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious throughout our stay. We were here for a week and appreciated the consistently fast and stable WiFi, which made it easy to stay connected. The hotel is tucked away from the noisy streets, yet still within easy walking distance to everything we needed. Highly recommended!

I checked it on 31st May 2025 and checked out on 3rd May 2025. The ROOMS ARE NOTHING LIKE WHAT THEY SEEM IN PHOTOS. Staff - The staff was ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC, untrained and not professional at all. Any request (basic most requests like early breakfast, water bottles) were either denied straight up or took hell lot of convincing. The staff knowing that I'm from Army kept asking me for liquor 🤦🏻‍♂️. Calls to reception/kitchen are 9 times unanswered out of 10. The guy at the reception - Bijoy - was always stoned/drunk. Rooms - Very basic as compared to the cost paid by me. No hair dryer, balcony in some rooms. Flush wasn't working so I asked to change the room. It was catered to however took a couple of hours. Food - extremely basic. They charged 250 for the most pathetic cold coffee I've ever had. Give me a jug, coffee and spoon, I'll make coffee 1000 times better without mixer. I'd overall rate this place - 3/10. Only marks given are for the location.

Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Leh Airport, this newly built property offers both comfort and scenic beauty. The staff were incredibly warm and hospitable, always going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Our room had breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains, and the food served was always warm, fresh, and delicious. We stayed in the Presidential Rooms, which are spacious and well-appointed. However, it's worth noting that there's only one such room per floor—so if you're booking two, they'll be on different levels. Also, the Presidential Suite on the second floor does not have a balcony. Despite these small points, the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Leh!

Great stay, the hotels rooms and the interior are top notch. The hotel's restaurant deserves it's own praise with such a wide menu and delicious food. Wood definitely recommend to anyone visiting, a mere 2 minutes drive from the airport.

Pros: New, clean property, very close to Leh airport, tasty food, and courteous staff. Cons: Surrounded by less appealing areas, airplane noise can disrupt sleep, restaurant pricey. Note: I booked single occupancy by mistake and was asked to pay ₹1,000 extra, even though the online price difference was only ₹350 – maybe my error, but worth noting. Tip: Good for a quick stay before/after a flight, not ideal if you're looking for views or walkable surroundings.

The hotel is at an excellent location near airport. We booked at this hotel on occassion of our 1st wedding anniversary so on request they decorated our room very well. The ambience is luxurious, staff is kind, service is very good. The food available at their cafe and restaurant is delicious and of outstanding quality. Would totally recommend this hotel for a cozy stay.

We had a long stay at this place for almost 20 days. We thoroughly enjoyed each aspect of this property. The best to state was their hospitality. They went out of the way to make us feel at home. The rooms are of pristine quality with a beautiful view of the mountains and the runway of the airport. They have a comfortable restaurant which serves delicious food..... Special reference to Mr Haroon and Mr Fayaz from house keeping..... The complete catering department was just awesome. They way they took care of my 8 year old son was beyond words to explain....to that extent where I could have left him at the hotel at occasions when we paid a quick visit to the market...... In a place like Leh, this property is a real gem.........

We enjoyed our stay at Charmwood hotel. We were getting a good deal on travel websites for two rooms but was unsure about the interconnection of rooms as we had kids. I called the hotel and spoke to Zaid who explained we will need extra bed in one room as rooms are not interconnected, he built a custom package for us including dinner which was a bit more expensive than other website but worth it. The food was very good (they didn’t serve buffet during less busy days) Akhlak Khan was a great server, the other server needed some training as he would never smile and it felt like he didn’t want to work there. The restaurant opened/closed randomly even though they had confirmed a time with us but not a big deal. Rooms were modern, fairly clean, also had USB port but had some dust on bedsheets and bathroom drain was slow due to dust blocking the drain but housekeeping was able to fix it. Ohh, like most places VIP culture was at play here, there was a family; looks like they knew the owner or senior management as all servers were on their table again and again… their child kept on changing tables every few minutes whenever they got a new food/drink item so it was a bit odd but not a gamechanger for us. We had an issue where our flight was cancelled and I spoke to Zaid again from the airport and came back, the price I was given was not honored as their boss rejected it, once I reached the hotel. We did feel the senior management may be focused on profits versus supporting their booking staff or helping somebody in need who had a flight cancelled. We had no choice but accepted the higher price as our flight was cancelled and we had to make alternative arrangements. Pros: -Nice location, close to airport. -Most of the staff were friendly. -Big kudos to Zaid, Akhlak, Imtiaz and Suhail. They even helped me with the permit application (Imtiaz and Suhail). -Food was very good (bit pricey) -Housekeeping was helpful Cons: -MD taking advantage of a customer stuck due to cancelled flight and raising price that their staff promised the customer. -Dust and drainage issues but housekeeping was nice and would try their best to fix. -VIP culture, difference in customer treatment depending on the friendship with seniors or owner. -Random calls by hotel staff at 5:30-6am or 10pm was bothersome (bell-boy called on the checkout day very early, reception called to check if everything was ok, restaurant called late at night to confirm we didn’t want to order anything) Instead of 4 stars, I am giving 5 stars because of the service from the staff (names that I mentioned above) - I do recommend this hotel!

I had a very comfortable stay in the charmwood hotel. The hotel has neat and clean rooms , restaurant and a cafe where you'll be able to taste the local delicacies and the contemporary Indian cuisine. The atmosphere of this hotel makes it feel like our own place. We frequently stay here, and the owner, Dawa, is exceptionally friendly and kind-hearted.

The guest house is located a bit far down the main market road. First floor rooms are good but ground floor ones are pretty substandard. Hot water is available only in the morning that too using solar heaters. But the best part is the owner who is extremely cooperative and helpful in every possible situations.

An excellent hotel in North Leh, with beautifully designed rooms and supportive staff. Stayed here for several nights in Aug 2025 and had no complaints. The location is in a peaceful area away from the noisy town center, but the hotel is just about 10mins away from the Leh Bazaar. Definitely staying here again.

Ideally located on the way to Kardungla like a gateway to the Leh city, it gives you both luxury and comfort away from the city noises! I have stayed for one night in here during my last visit to Leh. The rooms are huge with all the basic amenities like wardrobe, work table, Television and luggage racks. Bathroom was adequately spacious with all the basic toiletries. Hot water ran throughout the day and the bathroom was hygienic. The bed was comfy and the sleep quality was good. The service is very professional and down to earth. When the manager came to know that I'm from Bangalore he tried to speak with me in Kannada out of his past experience of being in Mysore. Such small gestures filled my heart. Restaurant staff, Front Desk Managers & House Keeping everyone acted so humble and their service was to the point. They have a big restaurant in the ground floor and I had Breakfast & Dinner here. The quality of food was really good and the quantity was adequate. They have an outdoor lawn kind of sit out area right next to the reception, an lounge setup on both ground and first floor. Which serves as a high tea table as well as a good spot to read books. They have a decent parking space behind the hotel. They accept both UPI & Cards as part of digital payment. Location is kind of isolated, but I liked the quite time in here. I really much enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The rooms are spacious with new and stylish furniture. The hotel and very importantly the bathroom have European standards and the service was really good, we were warmly welcomed with tea and biscuits. Our stay at The Highland Ladakh has been truly remarkable and the most memorable one. The hotel is very beautiful and in close proximity to Airport and Leh market. Suitable for anyone travelling with family (elderly and children). The warm hospitality and cooperative staff helped us at all times of need even when we required oxygen cylinder for elderly father (80 years) at mid night. Rating: ★★★★★ (5 Stars) My stay at Hotel Hiland Leh was absolutely outstanding, ticking every box for a perfect Ladakh experience. Prime Location: The hotel is ideally situated. It's conveniently close to the main market and bazaar, making exploration easy, yet remains peaceful. Whether arriving or heading out on tours, the location was incredibly practical. Spotless Cleanliness: Immaculate! From the spacious, well-appointed rooms to the common areas and dining space, everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. It provided a very comfortable and hygienic environment. Exceptional Service & Staff: The staff truly sets this hotel apart. Everyone, from reception to housekeeping and the dining team, was incredibly **cooperative, attentive, and genuinely friendly.** They went out of their way to assist with requests and ensure a smooth, pleasant stay. Their warmth and professionalism were remarkable. Awesome Food: The food was a definite highlight! Delicious, varied, and plentiful. Whether enjoying local Ladakhi specialties or other cuisines, every meal was flavorful and satisfying. The dining experience greatly enhanced our stay. Overall: Hotel Hiland Leh delivers an exceptional experience. The unbeatable combination of a great location, superb cleanliness, truly wonderful and cooperative staff, and delicious food makes it an outstanding choice in Leh. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The place is situated just 5 min away from the airport and the main leh market. The staff at the property will always welcome you with a warm smile. Reception desk is really helpful and the room service staff is also very humble and warm. I would highly recommend the place.

The entire experience was amazing. The views of Himalayas from the hotel are great, rooms and the entire property is very well maintained. The staff is the best, very courteous and welcoming. 100/100 would recommend this hotel.

The Highland Ladakh in Leh is one of the finest hotels that I have ever been to. It offers 5 star services at a reasonable price. The location is less than 10 mins from the airport which means it's peaceful. The hotel is a new construction, hence has all the modern amenities. Rooms are very comfortable with a great view. The hotel deserves a special appreciation for its amazing food quality. You order anything and itz just perfect. Last but definitely not the least, the staff of the hotel offer the best behaviour and service. No amount of appreciation is enough to describe their warmth, efficiency and caring attitude. If in Leh, this place must be on everyone's list.

Very great stay! We were staying from June 6th for two weeks and truly enjoyed it. The view was spectacular, rooms were clean, and service was amazing. If you're staying in Leh, this is a place to be!

Just 15-20 minutes walk from the Leh market in upper Changspa area is Snow View Hotel, with breathtaking view & landscape that you can watch endlessly from your room balcony. A gem of a place where you sip a hot tea and watch the snowcapped mountains all through your stay. The moment you step in, you are greeted with warm hospitality by the Owners David and his wife Naomi. They go out of their way to address all your needs. David is a naturalist and highly knowledgeable about the flora & fauna of the region. A bird lover, he will guide you the exact spots where you can spot the birds. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service by the well trained staff headed by Iqbal. The rooms are cozy and well-appointed, offering stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. The hotel's staff were always ready to help and make your stay comfortable. The cozy restaurant serves delicious local and international cuisines. Highly experienced Chef Vijay Singh can customise and make every meal is unique. Snow View’s own garden grows almost all the vegetables, herbs you need for your daily use and Vijay Singh and his assistant, fetch fresh herbs from the garden for your meal. On a sunny day, you can use the open sit out area enjoy your meal. David took extra care to provide instant medical treatment, medicine and oxygen while we had some issues in the first few days. They took good care of us. At the end, it was a wonderful experience staying at Snow View Hotel in Leh and we really miss our HOME in LEH. This is a lovely, calm and clean hotel with spacious rooms and a full service restaurant. Our family stayed here five nights and felt welcomed and at home.

To find this place is a challenge but once you do reach. It's a small piece of heaven with apricot tree within its vicinity and an organic field and ample parking. The owner David and Naomi makes sure all your needs are answered. David himself has had ample amount of experience in hospitality and a bird lover. Should tap his experiences in the field to fix up a custom itinerary then the cliched ones. Best of stay.

We had the most comfortable stay at snow view. Both David and Naomi were so welcoming and took care of every little thing. They helped us with our itinerary and other bookings as well. Even the food here was better than anywhere else in Ladakh. A special thanks to all of you for taking such good care of us.
