Tucked away in a corner along Leh market lanes, Chopsticks Noodle Bar stands out with its Asian-style decor featuring wooden benches and red folding fans. This popular spot is known for its dependable Chinese and Thai cuisine, drawing in crowds who often struggle to find a spot on the trellised terrace lounge. The restaurant offers aromatic Asian stir fries, curries, sushi platters, and specializes in noodles.
This place is a suggestion for Vietnamese, the taste was good. Staffs are helpful.

My favorite restaurant when I visit Leh. The food is good, their service is excellent and the owner is kind. They manage everything good when I came with group. As Indonesian, I tried their Indonesia Nasi Goreng, the taste so awesome. Don’t forget try their Chocolate Momos, my favorite dessert here.

Highly recommend!! I was in search for a good dinner and fortunately landed here. The staff was kind and welcoming and recommend me a great meal. I had the Schezwan noodles a side of prawn crackers and an ice cold beer, I met the owner who is a really nice person. I will definitely come back.

I was craving for some meat and Southeast Asian cuisines in Leh after days of vegetarian meals around the remote parts of Ladakh. Very satisfied with the Ayam Nasi Briyani and Soto Ayam at the restaurant. Owner is super friendly and hospitable! The chocolate momo he served for dessert was so good as well! Highly recommended!

Fast food restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in Changspa, look no further than Summer Harvest. This charming eatery captures the essence of Ladakhi cuisine with its commitment to organic, farm-to-table dishes that highlight the region's rich agricultural bounty. The menu features an array of hearty options like thukpa and mutton momos, all crafted from locally sourced ingredients that ensure each bite is both flavorful and nutritious.
Excellent food, great customer service We were 5 people and ordered a bunch of food. Quantity is really good. Taste is yummy. Definitely try their mutton momo and thingmo. The tandoori chicken is also great. Ended the meal with very satisfying Kahwa drink. 100% recommend this place
Mrignayani J — Google review
One of the most popular restaurants in Leh, the Summer Harvest Restaurant offers warm hospitality, a homely atmosphere, and food that represents the finest Ladakhi, Tibetan, and Indian cuisine. The no-fuss decor within the tastefully done-up restaurant radiates the essence of tradition, which goes a long way in making the interior most welcoming. A popular venue for many, it has spacious seating arrangements in the form of small enclaves that can cater to small numbers of people, even sections that seat greater numbers of families or larger groups—ideal for holding family dinners, casual lunches, or quiet meals alone. The Summer Harvest Restaurant menu comprises a fusion of delightful flavors that appeal to a wide range of palates. Different dishes on the menu are prepared with fresh, locally grown ingredients so that one can easily get the original taste. Thukpa: It is a Ladakhi noodle soup, heavily flavored and largely prepared with either chicken, mutton, or vegetables. This is a heavy food that shall warm up any person in the cold climate of Leh. Momos: The most famous Tibetan dumplings are the momos at Summer Harvest. They come with fillings like vegetables, chicken, and mutton, served with a spicy dipping sauce. Yarkandi Pulao: It is an exclusive Ladakhi recipe prepared with rice, meat, and a mixture of spices. Its unique preparation gives it a type of taste that is liked by both locals and tourists. Butter Tea: The local name is “Gur Gur Cha,” and this is an acquired taste. Prepared from tea leaves, butter, and salt, it is a warm and comfortable drink, especially in the cold climate of Leh. Chutagi: Essentially Ladakhi, Chutagi is a thick soup prepared with handmade bow tie-shaped pasta, potatoes, carrots, and spinach. So, in reality, it’s a full lunch or dinner meal. It also carries a variety of Indian and continental dishes in the Summer Harvest Restaurant menu, suiting many tastes and preferences. There is everything from spicy curries to refreshing salads at this restaurant.
Raman G — Google review
This restaurant serves many different cuisines, but seems to specialize in Tibetan and Indian dishes. We tried a few dishes, mainly Momos, which were amazing. We tried the chicken one and steamed it was delicious. then there are also some chicken curries that are also very good. The good thing about this restaurant seems to be that all the food is freshly cooked. We talked to the owner and he was telling us how the chicken in the Momos for example are minced right there in the kitchen and served fresh. They have a tandoori oven and those bread are freshly made. This place is a little bit out of the way from the main street but that’s well worth getting Google to direct you to this place no more than about 50 m from the main Street. Large place for large groups. Also recommend the ginger honey lemon tea.

Visited July 19, 2025 – Day 16 in India While exploring the lively streets of Leh we asked a friendly Tibetan shopkeeper where he would recommend for authentic Tibetan food and he kindly suggested Summer Harvest. We wanted a quick bite before continuing our tour and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and were so kind efficient and attentive. The service was fast without feeling rushed which made the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable. We ordered bottled water some Coke and three different kinds of momo chicken steamed, vegetarian steamed and chicken kothey. Every dish arrived fresh beautifully presented and piping hot. The chicken steamed momo were juicy and flavorful with perfectly balanced spices in the filling and delicate soft wrappers. The vegetarian momo were just as impressive light fresh and satisfying with a lovely mix of vegetables inside. The chicken kothey momo were our favorite crispy and golden on the bottom soft on top with a savory tender filling inside. Each bite was full of warmth and delicious taste and the chili sauce that came with them added just the right touch of heat without overpowering the flavors. We truly loved every bite. It was the kind of food that brings comfort and joy. Delicious food prepared with care and served with kindness made our afternoon extra special. Thank you to the team at Summer Harvest for such a lovely meal and a peaceful break in our day. We would happily return and recommend this place to anyone visiting Leh.

Summary: Average good and Quick service. Don’t have an option to rate 3.5, otherwise would have done that, to be precise. We ordered Veg Thukpa, Chicken Thukpa, Veg Momos, Fried rice, and Hot Garlic sauce. Hot Garlic sauce was unusually slightly sweet in taste, and I expected more authenticity in the taste of momos. Rest of the items were ok. So, some food items tasted average and some were good. The good part is that their service is quick.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant, and I must say—it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The menu offers a perfect blend of classic favorites and creative dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried the \[insert signature dish], and it was absolutely delicious—bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The drinks were equally impressive, with a well-curated selection of cocktails and wines. Service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely passionate about the food. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here. Whether you're planning a romantic evening, a family dinner, or a casual lunch with friends, this place is a gem worth visiting. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu! Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely amazing! Service is good. I tried chicken momos dipped in Hot Garlic sauce and it was an amazing blind shot. The taste was good, concept was unique and worth try. I don't remember the name of noodles but they were smooth, Creamy and vegetables had an upperhand in flavor which was a good experience and worth try.

North Indian restaurant
SKY WOK RESTAURANT, located in the heart of Leh market, is a popular spot for those craving crispy and hot shapaley, a Tibetan street snack. The restaurant also offers various juicy momos and Punjabi style Mutton Rogan Josh. Despite being new in town, it has quickly become a favorite among tourists due to its inviting ambiance with vibrant colors and mouth-watering multi-cuisine dishes.
During our visit to Leh, we stopped by Sky Wok in the Leh Market — and it turned out to be a great choice! The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with warm hospitality, making it a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. We ordered Thukpa, and it was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, comforting, and served hot, just the way it should be in the chilly Leh weather. The portion size was generous, and the ingredients tasted fresh. What stood out was the affordable pricing without compromising on taste or quality, which is a big plus in a tourist-heavy area like Leh. If you’re in Leh and craving some good food that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, Sky Wok is definitely worth a visit!

Had a lovely meal of local Ladakhi and Tibetan cuisine at this restaurant. I was on the hunt for a good non-veg Skyu and we found this place through a Google search. The ambience of the restaurant is great, overlooking the market. We ordered the Skyu and the mutton Shay Phalay. Both exceeded our expectations . Loved the Skyu as it was our first time eating it. The shay phalay was also well made and tasty. I will definitely go back to this restaurant when I visit Leh again

After like 8 days of eating around Ladakh, I can declare that this restaurant serves the best Ladakhi food I've eaten thus far. The Chicken Phingsa is to die for. It was so so good that I vow to return again just for it. Mutton momos pretty nice too though the veg chowmein is just average. We came in late at around 9.45 pm but grateful that they still willing to serve us. They also extended their restaurant hours so we could comfortably finish our food. This restaurant is officially in my must visit again list if I ever come to Leh again.

Gesmo Restaurant, located on Old Fort Road in Leh, is a versatile eatery offering a mix of North Indian, Ladakhi, and continental cuisine. The restaurant is known for its cozy ambiance and friendly staff, making it a popular choice among both locals and tourists. Their specialties include mutton momos, yak cheese pizza, Ladakhi Thali featuring skyu, momos, and thukpa.
Gesmo Restaurant August 2023: The restaurant is very close to Leh Main Market Street. It's got a great ambience. There's a lovely balcony area, in case you want to smoke with your buddies while having your meal. There's an inside area that's very well furnished, with comfortable chairs, sofas, and separate little seating areas for larger groups. The food is very tasty: they use quality ingredients, and they present it very nicely. My Iced Latte was really good, too, and strong like I prefer it. It's a tiny bit more expensive than other restaurants I've been to locally, but not by much. It might be best to visit here with a large group of friends, order a vast variety of dishes, and share and sample them all with your friends. Their menu is vast, and I've got a feeling that everything on it is probably worth trying. (I'm here solo today, so all I could manage was their Mushroom Chilly Dry, a Banana Honey Pancake, with an Ice Latte.) ...But I'll be back here for their Yak Cheese Veg Pizza, and maybe the Paneer Chilly Dry, and I'll add in a few pics of those items when I'm back. They have free wifi, and a restroom, both of which make any restaurant visit in Leh a much better experience (at least for me!). 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was the first restaurant we tried in Leh. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quite serene. Their menu offered a wide variety of options, and the food was enjoyable.
Niha R — Google review
I went to this restaurant with high hopes, assuming it has good rating and middle of the market location leads more to the credibility, but my experience was the least expected. The service is pathetic. At least, in my case, it was. The waiter took our orders, which were a pizza, butter tea and watermelon juice. Nothing fancy, time consuming. And then the wait started. 20 min later the waiter comes and tells sir, the pizza cannot be made as the base is finished. We say, okay, no problem. Please do grilled sandwiches instead. He obliges and goes back to the kitchen. And then the wait startes. 20 min later, we get our tea and juice. At this point it is 40 min past the original order time. We still accept and ask to expedite the Sandwich order please. But, time goes on and on and we do not get our order. People who came after us got their order and even started leaving after finishing. 40 min later, after politely telling the waiter that we are leaving and please let us know the bill, he does get the sandwiches, which haven't been grilled at all( I have shared the picture). You can compare it with the pics other people have uploaded. Overall, the taste was good, ambience was good as well, but the service ruined the experience. So, if you are planning to go here, keep this in mind, for else avoid this place.

The yak cheese pizzzaa is to die for. I generally can eat only a few slices but i finished up the entire thing even after having a big fruit bowl before that❤️❤️

Had a sumptuous meal at Gesmo in Leh! We ordered the chicken thukpa and mutton momos, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The thukpa was rich, flavorful, and perfect for the chilly weather—comforting in every bite. The mutton momos were juicy, well-seasoned, and came with a tasty dipping sauce that elevated the flavors even more. The service was warm and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Drop by if you’re in Leh and craving some hearty local food!

Nestled in the heart of Leh, Chaska Maska Restaurant is a delightful haven for food lovers, especially those craving authentic South Indian cuisine. This charming eatery attracts both locals and travelers with its crispy dosas and steaming vadas, all served in a clean and comfortable environment. The accommodating staff are particularly attentive to vegetarian preferences, ensuring that your meal can be customized to exclude onion or garlic if needed.
The food is amazing. It is a good place for north Indian people. The taste is familiar. Small tip : Must try ... Dosa

I recently dined at Chaska Maska and was thoroughly disappointed. 🍽️ The food was mediocre at best, and excessively spicy. 🌶️ Even the Palak Paneer, which is typically mild, was overwhelmingly hot. 😣 Prices also different in menu and in bill. I do not recommend this restaurant as the dishes were lackluster and not enjoyable. 👎

We went here once during our stay in Leh. The food was decent. Nothing outstanding, but good and filling. Quantity was also adequate. We ordered a mix of South Indian, Sizzler and sandwich with a couple of us being Jain. I really liked the sizzler, but even the South Indian dishes were above expectation (which were not very high given that we were at the other end of India from South!). Ambiance was strictly OK. Pricing was not exorbitant. There may be better places in Leh for a meal, but this wasn't bad either.

If you find yourself in Leh, make sure to stop by Il Forno Restaurant for a delightful culinary experience that beautifully blends Italian and Ladakhi flavors. This charming eatery boasts an inviting ambiance with a stunning open patio that offers breathtaking views of the Leh Palace and bustling Bazaar below. The highlight here is undoubtedly their thin crust wood oven pizzas, generously topped with cheese—truly a must-try!
First meal in Leh and the service was excellent. The waiter checked back with us several times. I had the cashew chicken pizza and lemon soda. Both were very good and the view is an added bonus.

A Genuine Warning: Do NOT Waste Your Money or Risk Your Health Here! This isn't just a bad review; consider this a public service announcement. This place is an absolute disgrace to the food and hospitality industry. We ordered two chicken dishes, a soup, and dal khichdi. What arrived was an inedible, health-hazardous insult. Every single item was blatantly HALF-COOKED and completely tasteless. It was pathetic, lazy, and utterly unacceptable. When we dared to bring this to the staff's attention, we were met with staggering rudeness and unprofessionalism. Instead of an apology or concern, we got attitude. The staff is as appalling as the food they serve. The place is filthy and profoundly unhygienic. The food is a disaster, but the staff is the worst part of this entire nightmare. This was without a doubt one of the worst experiences I have ever had. They single-handedly ruined our entire day and our money. I am begging you: DO NOT be fooled by the promise of live music. It is not worth risking your health, your money, or your evening on this disgusting, poorly-run establishment. Stay away. Go literally anywhere else.

This restaurant has the location going for it. Overlooking the main market and just off Zangsti Road, it is hard to miss. A friend recommended the place after he enjoyed a meal there. After going there myself, it is apparent that taste is subjective. Firstly, the stairs leading to the establishment look precarious. I'm sure many people frequently use the stairs, but they could do with a makeover. I arrived there a little after lunchtime, so the place was empty except for a couple. I was interested in trying something fishy, but as expected, Trout costs around a thousand bucks everywhere in Leh. I settled for the Chicken Steak with Mushrooms. I wanted a glass of mango lassi, but they only had papaya lassi. No way I was going to try that. Settled for a glass of Ginger Lemon Honey Tea. The restaurant doesn't have a restroom, so I was told to use the public one outside the restaurant. Not a good idea. The tea arrived before the food. The ginger in the glass of hot water looked like it was dehydrated and I got a teabag to dip into the hot water. A plastic bottle of honey was brought to me and I found that the cap was stuck. I had to call the waiter to help me open it. There was half a piece of lime that I could squeeze into the water. After mixing them all together, I could only taste the lime. Lime water. The steak looked great when it arrived. I mean, my hunger added a bit to its appeal. After taking a few bites, I realized that it was not seasoned enough. I was getting slight hints of the chicken, the sauce, and the mushroom, but there was not enough salt. I had to add the salt to bring some flavor and make it palatable. The chips on the side were pretty average. It was the salad that stole the show. Hard to believe, I know. It actually had all the flavor that was missing from the steak. I think the dressing was what made it stand apart. I would recommend that salad. The meal left me unsatisfied and dreading what the other dishes on the menu tasted like. I went to the sink that is near the entrance to wash my hands and found that there was no water. I had to loosen the knob below the sink to get water. This can easily be fixed by the management. The bill came to Rs. 460.

Floor sitting is really nice I came here for pizza (as the name suggests, this place should have its usp for pizza), however, I was disappointed. The pizza base was soggy and soft. It wasn’t the best pizza I have had. So try some other things here.

The restaurant is in here since long time.Very nice restaurant at a very good location, near the main market on a walking 🚶‍♀️ distance. The food and drinks served are nicely freshly prepared and are delicious. There is a good ambience here. Also there is small parking inside for bikers and some cars can fit in too. The service is good and staff is attentive and customer friendly. If you are here in Leh go enjoy the wood fire 🔥 Pizzas 🍕

Ordered noodles and couldn't eat more than two spoons. I don't know what was wrong but neither the noodles or the fried rice tasted good enough to eat. It's very hard to find good places to eat in Leh city. Most of the times I was going with the safest option that is Maggi.

Nestled in the heart of Leh Main Bazar, Lehvenda Cafe offers a delightful blend of tradition and modernity. The cozy yet contemporary interiors provide a perfect setting to savor aromatic coffees, warm waffles, and delicious pizzas while soaking in the view of snow-capped mountains. This cafe is known for its great ambience, good music, and ample seating space, making it an ideal spot to unwind for hours.
Loved Lehvenda. Went back twice for the peanut butter smoothie & white sauce pasta. Even the pizza was super delicious. The staff was friendly and accepted customisation requests. The view from the outdoor seating was beautiful, too. It snowed the first time I went! Would absolutely recommend. ❤️

Located near the mosque in the centre of Leh market, you get a nice bird’s eye view from here. Difficult to get a table, recommended to call and reserve a table or wait in line for nearly 15-20 mins. Lots of vegetarian options, great sandwiches and wraps. Healthy dishes with nice flavour. The pizza had tasty toppings and a great crispy thin crust. Would have liked the coffee to have had less of a chocolate flavour and more coffee flavour. It was also slightly watery. Great ice tea, not the synthetic kind you get in most places.

Loved the food and the ambience — really impressive! I even had a nice conversation with the chef while ordering; he was very helpful and courteous. However, the service could have been better. The server attending to us seemed angry or uninterested throughout, which affected the overall experience. I visited during the Leh Festival week, so I understand it must have been a busy time, but the service team definitely needs improvement. Only thing missing was a friendly and welcoming service. Great place overall — just hope the service department at Lehvsnda Cafe improves!

One of the best places to have coffee or hot chocolate and amazing food! The ambience, the service and the food. 10/10 for every thing! We came here twice during our stay in leh. You can sip on a nice cold brew or cappuccino or hot chocolate while enjoying the view of the main market street of leh from their corner balcony!

Definitely one of my favourite coffee and breakfast place in Leh. Been coming here for years. It is often too busy for my preferences (was there at 08:30 opening on my video, so good time) but it is a sign that people appreciate it. My favourite breakfast , avocado croffle with latte.

Located in the center of the city, YumYum Food n Cafe is a popular eatery that specializes in serving authentic dishes from various cuisines. Their extensive menu offers a wide range of options including Indian, Continental, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Tibetan delicacies. The restaurant prides itself on its friendly staff members and owner who create a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of home. Not only does YumYum Food n Cafe provide excellent service to its customers but also maintains high-quality standards.
This was my 6th visit to Yum Yum across 3 trips to Ladakh. Every time the experience has been super pleasant. The food is mouthwatering, the atmosphere is cozy and the host Sonam is one of the most hospitable cafe owners ever. She puts in real hard work to ensure the guests are having an amazing experience.

They have quite an extensive menu but we tried the Schezwan noodles here which were good. They do have a variety of baked goods in which we tried Apricot Cheescake. This one tasted a bit average only. Both cost us roughly 350 rupees.

I think this is the heart of leh market as its literally located in the center and you will get everything super fresh and super tasty here. Kinda like surprise because no fancy ambience but just good food under the open sky. Never been disappointed with any dish that we tried here and it has everything you want to eat. 🙌🏼💯

Yum Yum is a place you must experience the fine taste and unique flavours of in Ladakh. They offer a wide variety of delicacies, and bar none they serve the best pizza in Leh. The spinach cheese momos are also to die for. The vibe is truly unique. From locals to global travelers, you’ll meet and converse with some of the most fascinating people in town.

Yum Yum Food N Cafe is the worst bakery shop in leh market. Not Recommended. This cake was stale. I told them but they forced to pay the money. I paid half the amount. The old lady is very arrogant. Never visit. They literally harassed us.

You can go there to grab a quick bite. Budget friendly place and the taste is also fine according to the price… 3/5 is my score.

Tucked just opposite the entrance to Leh Market, Yum Yum is the kind of place you stumble upon by chance but return to by choice. On our very first day — under the weather and a bit weary — we stopped in for their juice, and what a delight it was! Light, refreshing, and just what we needed. From that moment on, this cozy café became our go-to comfort zone. Over four visits, we tried a range of delicious dishes: the falafel platter, chocolate banana cake, fresh juice, and more. Every bite was filled with flavor and made with care. Sonam, the heart and soul behind Yum Yum, along with her courteous staff, brought warmth to each visit. If you're looking for multi-cuisine magic served with humility, don’t think twice — Yum Yum is a gem waiting to be discovered.

Amigo Korean Restaurant in Leh has been making waves with its unexpected offering of authentic Korean cuisine in the heart of the Himalayas. Despite its Spanish name, this cozy restaurant is a haven for those seeking a break from the usual fare found in the region. Nestled on the ground floor of a charming guesthouse, it boasts both indoor and outdoor seating surrounded by lush vegetable and flower gardens. The menu features a variety of Korean dishes, including bibimbap, ramen, and vegetable pancakes.
The best korean restaurant in LEH. Authenticity is top notch. Excellent fresh dishes they serve. Must try their 🍣 variety of sushi's. Fresh chicken and pork. Food is yumilicious. Good humble staff. Atmosphere is very pleasant 👌. Highly recommended..✨️♥️✨️

Nestled in Leh, Cafe Montagne is a charming spot that seamlessly blends French influences with Ladakhi elements. The upper deck offers stunning views of the Stok Mountain range and the local market, creating a picturesque setting for your dining experience.
What a standout spot in Leh, Ladakh! Montagne is an exceptional restaurant and a must-visit for anyone seeking a break from the usual Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is clean, calm, and welcoming — a perfect blend of contemporary style and mountain charm. The lamb cutlets were a highlight and instantly brought me back to home in Australia — tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. It’s rare to find that kind of comfort food while traveling, and Montagne absolutely nailed it. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the service feels genuinely warm without being overbearing. For travelers who prefer meals that aren’t too spicy, this is an ideal choice. The menu is clearly designed with international palates in mind, without compromising on quality or flavor. Whether you’re craving familiar flavors or simply looking for a peaceful dining spot with mountain views, Montagne delivers on all fronts.

For us, this was the best food find in Leh. On the second day at Leh we decided to have a local tour and at the end of it, went to the Leh market for dinner. We were looking for a light meal and preferred something continental instead of spicy stuff. We found Cafe Montagne right at the entrance of the market. Each item that we ordered was cooked to perfection and the chef came up to meet and greet us too! He happened to hear us speaking bangla and West Bengal was his native as well. We had a nice chat about his varied experience in the culinary world. We had a chicken pizza, grilled fish and creme bruleé for dessert. All the items were mind-blowing and extremely satisfying after a hectic day as a tourist. It was awesome that they had procured such fresh stuff at that altitude. We paid a second visit on our last day of our trip and it was worth it! Would recommend it to all. Note - If you are facing the 'I ❤️ Leh' sign, Cafe Montagne is on your left...up a short flight of stairs! It has pure french and Italian cuisine and you will not be disappointed at all...

One of the best cafes in Leh! I tried a variety of dishes from their menu, and none of them disappointed me. As a pure vegetarian, I especially loved the Montagne hot and sour soup, the tomato & pickled Ladakh apricot bruschetta, the Ladakh apple and roasted beetroot walnut salad, and the local spinach mac & cheese balls. And of course, their coffee is a must-try! We visited this cafe 5–6 times during our stay, and each time, Sahil from the staff assisted us with great recommendations. He was always professional, courteous, and made our experience even better. Highly recommended!!

IG@jes_sees_world You have got to visit this restaurant!! The balcony view of the street is so cool to sit and watch while eating. Everything is so clean and the staff never stopped smiling! If you want coffee, ask for Rohan! He made the best cocoa caramel latte I have ever had! 🙌 The lamb burger is not on the menu, but I highly recommend it! Thank you Montagne for a great experience! ❤️

Best food in the main market by far. Elegant without being pretentious and an innovative menu that will keep your whole party happy. We enjoyed the macaroni and cheese balls but we absolutely fell in love with the salmon. Absolute must try if you’re tired of momos and thali at restaurant and looking for something different. This is an easy 5 stars.

Family restaurant
Karim's Leh Ladakh is a branch of the renowned Karim's restaurant in Delhi, offering Mughlai and traditional Kashmiri cuisine. Situated on the third floor of Mengon Shopping Complex, it provides a pleasant view of the bustling street below. The restaurant is known for its meat-heavy menu with limited vegetarian options. Despite its unassuming exterior, once inside, guests are greeted by a spacious and lively hall adorned with elegant wooden trellises on the walls and ceiling.
We liked karim’s already when we first tried it in Delhi. So it was a good find for us, when we got to know, it’s in Leh as we were searching for Muslim food. The Kabab was really good and also the chicken makkhan. The mutton biriyani was different from our country in a good way and the amount was a lot. Overall, it was a good experience.

So we have one of the branch of legendary Kareem's at Leh Market. The food is awesome and staff is courteous. Located at prime location next to lehvenda cafe.

We began our bites by dipping Lazeez Keema Naan, khambir and the plain Naan into Mutton Handi. The gravy was quite good, spicy but moderately 🧆. Basically, four pieces are served in Chicken Fries as they told us but they served us five pieces as we were five 🍗. Later, we ordered Jahangiri Chicken which was also delicious. I appreciate the service. I liked the kitchen feed displaying the chef at work 🖥️ Eat🥘Hearty!
Mahpara A — Google review
I visited Karim’s Leh recently and was delighted with the experience. I had also seen their General Manager last year at his restaurant in Turtuk, and I was delighted to see him here again. He is a very well-mannered, polite, and humble person who knows how to operate restaurant with absolute Professionalism. The service at Karim’s was excellent—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food was simply amazing, full of authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for guests. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience, and I would highly recommend Karim’s Leh to anyone visiting. It is a perfect place to enjoy good food with great touch of hospitality. The location of Karim's makes it must visit place in Leh City..
Gmail L — Google review
They serve chicken fried rice and call it Dum Biryani which cost for full plate Rs 600/- , and after complaining they said yaha aisa hi milta hai. Also they use sela basmati rice for biryani which is low grade rice.
Parvez S — Google review
Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I had one of the worst dining experiences at Karim’s Leh, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I ordered the mutton biryani, expecting something decent, but what I got was stale, foul-smelling meat that immediately triggered a vomiting sensation. The taste and smell were so off that it was clearly not fresh, a serious health risk. When I complained and returned the mutton, the staff casually offered to replace it with chicken but then had the audacity to say it would be charged extra. Unbelievable. On top of that, they kept saying, “We’re coming,” but made me wait endlessly, despite multiple reminders. It was clear they had no intention of resolving the issue sincerely. This place doesn’t care about hygiene, food quality, or customer service. If you value your health and your time, do yourself a favor and skip this place.
Rohan R — Google review
Please change the waiter,he just spoiled our complete experience here, food was average.. but the service is pathetic
Luthfi H — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience at Karim’s Leh town main market was disappointing, largely due to the poor management. The restaurant manager seemed egoistic and unapproachable, which reflected in the overall service and staff coordination. We experienced long wait times, confusion with our order, and a general lack of attentiveness. When we tried to address the issue, the manager showed little concern or willingness to help. Good leadership sets the tone for a positive dining experience, and sadly, that was missing here. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service and professionalism. Rest aside Karim’s ladakh outlet need to take a serious action for the manager who is misbehaving with customer otherwise the image of Karim’s which takes decades to build will get ruined because of these unprofessional manager.

If you're on the hunt for a true taste of Ladakh, look no further than the Ladakhi Organic Food Restaurant, a delightful 100% vegetarian spot tucked away near Moti Market. While Leh boasts an array of culinary options from Indian to Thai, this hidden gem specializes in authentic Ladakhi cuisine that sets it apart from typical Tibetan fare. Here, you can savor unique dishes like wheat momos with distinct fillings and traditional Khambir bread that are both hearty and satisfying.
I had an incredible time at this Ladakhi restaurant. The food was absolutely scrumptious and totally authentic. They even made it without onion and garlic, which was a huge win for me. I highly recommend it! By the way, they’re on the first floor, so sometimes it’s a bit tricky to spot them.

Like their name says "ladakhi organic and traditional food" . The restaurant here is purely local, owned by local with past so many experience in this industry.. No other local authentic food can beat this place.. Near and clean restaurant with local chai (khunak) free as a welcome drink. Always awesome to be here now and then.

It’s a cozy and simple restaurant with very decent food, difficult to find since it’s hidden on the upper floor. I got veg momo, quite substantial 10 pieces with 3 kinds of nice dipping, cost 250 rupees, later had tsampa to take away. It’ big portion and tastes interesting. Highly recommended!
Shantam G — Google review
This is probably the hidden gem as I didn’t find it any of the recos. It is situated close to Moti Market on first floor and difficult to locate. I tried the wheat momos here. I forgot the dish name actually. The momos were quite different from the usual tibetan ones. It wasn’t served with momo chutney and had total different fillings. I absolutely loved this one. Then had Khambir bread which was quite filling. The flavors were quite subtle. It’s a small place with limited seatings. I spent roughly 300 rupees here.

The staff are extremely knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and prioritizing customer satisfaction. This relatively new resort provides a luxurious all-vegetarian dining experience, showcasing the chef's mastery in crafting delectable dishes.
Amazing restaurant. In my opinion, the best we have in Leh. Chospa is a close second :) The food here is so god damn tasty and so well presented. Even their cocktails are so well done. Also, well done from interiors and ambiance standpoint. It's funny, but their bathrooms are one of the most aesthetically pleasing bathrooms I have seen anywhere in the world :)

Upscale, excellent ambience. Top notch service. You'll love the items in their menu. We tried a couple of items and they were fantastic. Would recommend reservation. Go for early drinks followed by dinner. Didn't try their cocktails but the menu looked great! Trying next time.
Pranav S — Google review
In the heart of Leh’s growing culinary scene, Tsas by Dolkars stands out as a rare gem — a restaurant that beautifully fuses Italian and Japanese flavors, while drawing subtle inspiration from Ladakhi ingredients and aesthetics. The result is a dining experience that is both creative and comforting, offering something truly unique in the mountains. The menu is imaginative yet grounded — think ramen with Himalayan herbs, hand-rolled pasta with yak cheese, or miso-glazed vegetables grown locally in Ladakh’s crisp air. Each dish feels thoughtfully crafted, balancing global flair with local soul. What truly elevates Tsas is the service — warm, attentive, and prompt without being intrusive. The team is clearly passionate about food and hospitality, eager to share the story behind each dish or recommend a pairing that enhances your experience. Every detail, from plating to presentation, reflects care and intention. The ambience is chic yet cozy — blending natural wood, minimalist design, and panoramic Himalayan views. It’s a place that feels equally suited for a relaxed lunch after a monastery visit or a celebratory evening meal. Final Word: Tsas by Dolkars is not just a meal — it’s a culinary journey across cultures, with Ladakh as its soulful backdrop. Whether you're a foodie traveler or simply seeking a memorable meal in Leh, this spot is an absolute must-visit.

This restaurant offers 5+ stars when it comes to its food selection! A lot lof local dish options with modern twists, super tasty and served beautifully. Lovely ambiance with nice decor in the restaurant - 4 stars because the service was quite poor - while the staff was friendly they did not really do their job properly (delaying orders, forgetting orders, taking a lot of time to take orders when the restaurant wasn’t actually busy). Also the room was a bit cold, as in October the temperatures go down drastically in the evening, spaces need to be heated, we had to sit and eat with our jackets on. The restaurant deserves better as the food is exquisite!

We came 5 times in just 3 days. All the food was very elegantly prepared and presented. Had some of the best desserts and food here. Amazing salads, pasta, pizza and the best fusion food with local foods blended with Japanese Mediterranean Mexican food is just beyond this world. By far one of the best places I’ve been to in all my life. Every single dish is so unique and delicious. We ordered a Classic Thukpa, Tingmo and Mushroom, Gucchi Yarkhandi Pulao, a classic Margherita, Memories of Old Delhi, a hot chocolate. Everything was served so nice. We did not know when we visited the place, that this restaurant has been mentioned as one of the best places in the world to stay/ eat at by the TIME magazine. But after having dinner here, we exactly knew why it is so. A must visit place when you are in Leh.

Leh Market is surrounded by a plethora of attractions that are sure to leave a lasting impression on any traveler. The market is located near a small lane leading to Chubi, which provides a shortcut to the back alley of Leh Palace. Adjacent to the market is Kashmiri Gali, where people from Kashmir have established their businesses. While it's difficult to narrow down the must-visit places in Leh, these attractions are likely to find a permanent place in any traveler's journal.
The market street has a very unique local architecture. The road is paved with stone. On both sides are two rows of houses with Tibetan architecture. Along both sides of the street are many shops and delicious restaurants with reasonable prices. The people are gentle and simple.

One of the best places in Leh just to roam around and see the local market, people and culture. Personally I loved this place, you can just sit there, observe people, take a walk, eat, photograph and enjoy. You can take a small trek to Leh palace as well from here. Authorities and locals have done a good job in keeping the place clean.
Ritu W — Google review
Leh Market, nestled in the heart of the town, is a vibrant blend of tradition and modernity. Historically, it served as a crucial trade hub on the ancient Silk Route, connecting traders from Tibet, Kashmir, and Central Asia. Today, the market reflects Ladakh’s rich cultural heritage, offering everything from pashmina shawls and handwoven carpets to prayer flags, antiques, and local handicrafts. The narrow streets are lined with cafes, souvenir shops, and Tibetan stalls. It’s not just a shopping destination, but a cultural experience where travelers can interact with locals and enjoy the laid-back yet lively atmosphere of Leh.

The walk through the market is quite an experience. There's a lot of good food options . If you are looking for cheap food options this is not your place but the very nearby streets you could find budget restaurants as well. The ladakhi locals are very friendly .

What a lively and beautiful market. You can spend hours here roaming, sitting and sipping a coffee. We were staying in a hotel very close to the market so we visited this market everyday during our stay in Leh. We bought souvenirs from this market. Also there are so many good cafes to try like Rabsal cafe, brazil cafe, lamayaru cafe. Whole vibe of the market is very vibrant, and u get to see the cultural activities in evening.

Main street is quite touristy. Secondary back street and beyond very local. Main street you can get souvenirs, maps, sun screens, simcard, xero copy permits, etc. Plenty of restaurants as well. For but better prices on goods step into secondary street. Those are oriented more towards locals and prices are also better. I bought some amazing leather boots for my motorcycle trip for 1000r which is about 12.5$ I already did 1000km and crossed a few rivers and I'm very happy with this boots.

Leh Market is a vibrant and lively place that truly captures the spirit of Ladakh. It’s the best spot to explore local culture, shop for souvenirs, and taste authentic food. You’ll find a variety of shops selling handicrafts, woolen clothes, jewelry, prayer flags, pashmina shawls, and dry fruits. Prices can be a bit on the higher side, so bargaining is recommended. The market streets are colorful and bustling, especially in the evenings, and there are plenty of small cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy local delicacies. Parking nearby can be a bit tricky, so it’s better to take a taxi or walk if you’re staying close. Overall, Leh Market is a must-visit for shopping, eating, and soaking in the local vibe. It’s not just a marketplace but an experience in itself.

Leh Market is the vibrant heart of the town – a lively mix of colors, culture, and local charm nestled among the majestic Himalayas. Whether you’re hunting for handwoven pashmina, Tibetan jewelry, prayer flags, or just soaking in the daily life of the locals, this market has something magical. The air smells of incense and momos, and the warm smiles of the shopkeepers make every interaction feel personal. It’s the perfect place to pick up souvenirs or simply wander and get lost in the rhythm of Leh. A must-visit for a true taste of Ladakh’s spirit.
