Eastwell Manor, Champneys Hotel & Spa is a historic country house hotel and spa nestled in the picturesque Kent Downs. The elegant manor offers a range of facilities including an outdoor pool, nine-hole golf course, falconry center, tennis court, and various garden games. Guests can indulge in wellbeing and beauty treatments at the full-service spa or take a dip in the 20-meter pool.
My wife and I took my Mother in Law here for her birthday. She’s always wanted to do a proper afternoon tea service and Eastwell Manor did NOT disappoint. Booking and check in were a breeze and our hostess was nothing short of amazing! The service includes finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries to nibble on and several varieties of tea to enjoy. If you’re feeling cheeky, you can even have a have a glass of champagne! The tea room is a VERY nicely done room with comfortable chairs and a beautiful fireplace. It also has an amazing view of the grounds. While we didn’t partake, Eastwell Manor also has a world class spa, rooms to stay in, a bar and amazing grounds to walk around on. If you have a chance to celebrate a special occasion, don’t hesitate to think about this place. It’s BEAUTIFUL and the service is First Class! Thank you Eastwell Manor!

We had a fantastic stay! Four of us spent one night at the hotel and were truly impressed by the beautiful historic building, high-quality facilities (spa, indoor and outdoor pools, table tennis, etc.), and delicious food. A big thank you to the staff for their exceptional service—especially the reception team, who went above and beyond to sort out a booking issue. They were so helpful and kind, and really turned things around for us. Stargazing was also a highlight—such a memorable experience! We truly appreciated the hospitality and had a wonderful experience overall. We will definitely go back to stay again!

I recently stayed at Eastwell Manor, Champneys, in one of the cottages. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but there are a few things worth mentioning. The rooms are decent and comfortable enough, but some maintenance would really make a difference. For example, the shower hose in our bathroom was damaged and leaking, and a fresh coat of paint, especially around the window sills, would definitely improve the overall impression. On the positive side, the location itself is excellent. The manor is surrounded by stunning landscapes that make the stay feel truly special, and the grounds are perfect for a peaceful getaway. The food was decent as well, nothing extraordinary, but good enough to enjoy during the stay. All in all, Eastwell Manor is a beautiful place with great potential, and with just a bit more attention to detail in the rooms, it could easily offer an outstanding experience.

I booked the day package with a facial for myself and my mum at Champneys Eastwell Manor, as I wanted to treat her somewhere with a supposedly grand reputation. Unfortunately, the whole experience was disappointing and not worth the nearly £500 I spent. The spa itself felt very basic and far from luxurious. The changing rooms were not clean, showers were broken, and only shampoo and conditioner were provided. There were no thoughtful touches you’d expect from a high-end spa – just cheap cotton pads and earbuds. The pool area was overcrowded with no available seating, and the outdoor loungers were dirty. It really felt overbooked and under-maintained. On arrival, check-in was poor – no one was there initially, and when we did get checked in, we were handed a cheap bag with flip flops and a dressing gown that didn’t even match what others were given. It all felt inconsistent and low effort. The food was fine, but nothing memorable, and I even had to ask for bread with my soup, which should have been standard. The facial was also very basic – not indulgent or unique in any way. Overall, there was nothing luxurious about this “luxury spa day.” It felt tired, poorly managed, and not in line with the reputation or price point. I will not be recommending Eastwell Manor and certainly won’t be returning.
Lauren W — Google review
Disappointed. The grounds, Food and spa was a lovely experience but the room itself was definitely not what you would expect for paying close to £300. It felt tired, stained carpet, couldn’t close the window and had troubles with the TV. To make matters worst the walls are paper thin so we could hear everything (and I mean everything!) so ended up going sleep at 1am. Not very relaxing at all. I never leave bad reviews but felt this was certainly not up to par. FYI we stayed at the Mews, top floor
Laurence G — Google review
great stay, huge bed, beautiful high ceiling rooms with an outdoor seating area and a 1 minute walk from the spa! only 4 stars because the food was bang average and almost costs us the same price as the room but the caveat to that was RUTH, amazing service from her! also spa is not included in stay price its an extra £15 per person per session. would stay again though!
Smokey — Google review
It was very difficult to book a Spa Evening experience online at Eastwell Manor. The website did not allow me to do this. I had to call several times to make the booking. Prices differed quite substantially from those on the website. I had to inform them 3 times of my choice of mezze board, once over the phone then twice by email. 2 days before the experience I received an email informing me my booking had been cancelled. Finally on the eve of the experience I got a call to inform me the treatment I had booked for my daughter had been cancelled for lack of staff. It seems the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing and all this trouble meant I was highly stressed before attending with my daughter. The experience was pleasant as was the food. However I have since lost a scarf and have now called Eastwell Manor 4 times to ask them whether they have found it. There has been no reply and there is no way of leaving a message. A bizarre experience where customer service goes not appear to be a priority …
Francesca D — Google review
We did not stay in the hotel so I can’t rate the rooms. We had high expectations for the Eastwell manor and though it was an iconic building on beautiful land sadly the staff we encountered were not 5* and I would not recommend the spa if you want service or serenity. It was also over crowded/overbooked and staff did not clear water away so also unsafe. As above the spa was overbooked and I only saw spa staff once clearing water but they did not manage to remove much, as a result the floor was extremely wet like an ice rink and I managed to fall badly and hurt myself. When speaking to the reception at the spa they did nothing to help me, and were more concerned with noting my name and where it happened. Because it was overbooked there were guests without space to sit and it was very busy. Not very relaxing. The hot tub was broken and when asking reception she had been unable to provide an update other than maintenance are coming but it remained cold most of the day and I am not sure if it was ever warm enough. All the jacuzzi were tepid so the spa seem to keep the spa colder for some reason anyway. Not great to have a Luke warm jacuzzi. The spa itself did not have any tea or even allow tea which was again extremely disappointing because the reception staff in the spa were rude and more interested in laughing and showing each other their phones then with the customers. I genuinely did not expect that the entire hotel would be shut after the spa. We planned to go have a bottle of bubbles before departing but the entire venue was shut for a wedding. The staff were stressed and rude when we came up to the hotel even though no one at the spa or when we booked advised us the hotel would be shut in the evening. Additionally we would not have booked out spa day on the Friday if we knew. Why were we not told, I called to book initially and the reservation team and the confirmation email said nothing. I am very unhappy with a majority of were rude. .

The Hythe Imperial Hotel is a historic 18th-century venue offering a luxurious experience with its 9-hole golf course, spa, and elegant restaurant. The hotel, housed in a Jacobean-inspired building dating back to 1894, provides stunning sea views and an idyllic location overlooking Kent's white-cliffed coast. Guests can indulge in pampering treatments such as massages, facials, and beauty sessions while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
We stumbled across hotel in a search on Google and booked afternoon tea. We had a friendly greeting from reception who told us to inform bar staff in bar room opposite. The hotel bar did seem under staffed but staff were friendly and courteous. As we were early they gave us a couple of options, and we opted for sitting at the Gazebo in the well tended gardens. We were offered drinks twice and afternoon tea followed on. It was delicious and even the vegan scones were great. I’m not sure why it wasn’t busy but we had whole of garden area to ourselves. We never did get offered the tea & coffee as a wedding started in the hotel and we assume made the bar busy, but it was fine as we had complimentary Prosecco already offered, and a jug of water with soft drinks, so none went thirsty.😉 Afternoon team was great value less than half of what you would pay anywhere else especially if in London. We absolutely loved the experience and would return again next year. There is ample parking here, the seaside is just opposite and the beach was empty for a sunny afternoon we thought it was a rare occurrence but we will find out only when we return next year. Highly recommended

Booked a midweek 2 night stay for a birthday treat. Staff were all so friendly and professional, their standards were amazing including their attire. Nothing was too much trouble, they arranged to bring surprise champagne to the dinner table and made us feel like VIPs. Dinner was outstanding, food was excellent and incredible service. Lovely ambience and music too. Breakfast was very good, huge selection and again great service. All food was continuously being topped up, so always fresh. Arrived early before check-in to use the gym and the staff were brilliant and very accommodating. Towels provided along with padlocks for lockers and there's also a machine to dry your swimwear after a dip in the lovely pool. Fantastic room with air-con, fridge and a huge comfy bed. We have stayed in other 4* hotels and none match the Hythe Imperial. We've had the most amazing stay will definitely come again.
Ann N — Google review
The Hythe Imperial Hotel offers an impressive setting on arrival, and the reception staff were both friendly and professional, giving the initial impression of a polished, well-run establishment. Unfortunately, that was where the so-called “posh” treatment ended. While the room featured some modern décor touches, the furnishings were noticeably tired, worn, and gave the sense of being well-used over many years rather than refreshed or luxurious. Our biggest concern was around safety and privacy. In the evening, a male staff member knocked and, without allowing time for us to respond, opened our door uninvited. He claimed to be delivering extra pillows we had never requested. This was unsettling, and I could not help but wonder how safe or comfortable an elderly female relative would feel in the same situation. Other aspects of the stay were equally disappointing. Navigating to the spa felt like wandering through a dark maze, and once we finally found it, it appeared closed well before expected hours. The following morning, breakfast was a letdown. Despite arriving almost an hour before service was meant to end, most of the food was either cold, stale, or already being packed away. The selection was bland, and we felt rushed to leave. While the location and reception staff were positives, the issues with security, privacy, and overall upkeep mean we would not recommend the Hythe Imperial Hotel to family or friends.

Excellent hotel the rooms were lovely and roomy with king size beds, lovely bathroom and all necessary facilities. Had spa treatments which was very enjoyable and extremely relaxing. Afternoon tea was delicious and they catered for all dietary needs. We also had a very relaxing evening meal with excellent service and beautifully prepared food. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice and again very well prepared The staff for all areas were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They were very friendly and very well trained. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel.
Jennie C — Google review
Nice room with a fantastic sea view. We enjoyed the champagne bar, and breakfast was fine, BUT.... the downstairs bar (next to the entrance) is absolutely grim! An empty room with some tables and chairs and lighting that reminded us of the freezer department in Sainsburys. Questions below - would you describe it as - Luxury - no, it is due for some refurb work Quiet - no. there are weddings, and they're never quiet Child friendly - unfortunately, yes. High-tech - no. unless they mean does it have wifi(?!)

We do love this hotel have stayed on few occasions great getaway always go for the family rooms best time is when you can get an offer to include breakfast A’s can be expensive we had the food delivered to our room London prices but was high quality and worth the money only disappointment was a glass of wine £10 50 ouch. so take your own but look forward to a further stay. I have no problem in recommending this hotel
Raymond G — Google review
A lovely hotel right next to the sea. Our room was spacious and comfy with a lovely view over the town and the hills. Despite the air-conditioning, the room was hot at night though. Otherwise everything very good; a nice pool and gym. Great location, comfortable, and friendly service.
Richard D — Google review
Absolutely awful experience. No air conditioning working when we checked in. Were told it was on the website, but no email or call prior to let us know. Who checks the website the day of checking in? No one. Irrelevant anyway as the dates listed on the website were completely different to our check in dates so not applicable to us. Were provided with a fan which isn’t a suitable substitute in the heat. Breakfast was abysmal, £19 for rock hard hash browns, cold beans and watery coffee. The hotel is majorly outdated and needs a major scrub and upgrade everywhere. Bathrooms are dirty and all surfaces were dusty. Swimming pool was full to the brim with kids and hotter than the sun. Reception staff were incapable and rude, the lady checking us out couldn’t care less about the uncomfortable night we had. You can’t provide a service and then not provide it and then when asked for compensation for not providing the service asked for say you are no longer going to reply to emails. The receptionist on the emails also said my name in emails wrong twice. Attention to detail = zero. It’s literally right in front of you. Would not recommend staying here at all. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Ash, Kent, Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa is a charming Georgian mansion offering a romantic escape. The hotel boasts a variety of rooms and suites with elegant decor and modern amenities. Guests can indulge in the on-site spa and lap pool or savor delectable meals at the restaurant.
Spa day - Second visit, both times lovely. Friendly welcoming staff. Massage was best I've ever had and would be a reason in itself to go back. Afternoon Tea delicious as was evening meal. Facilities nice, steam and sauna, jacuzzi, space for a group to lounge by the pool or relax in one of two quiet rooms. Calm cafe and lunch rooms. It is a hotel with spa and gym facilities and close to Brands Hatch race track which can be noisy if you're outside, but we didn't need to venture outdoors. Would go back again.

Had an amazing spa day here today. The staff are awesome, there is a fab pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. We enjoyed a body scrub, massage and my wife had a manicure. All excellent (big thanks to Ellie and Jess). The afternoon tea was lush and we will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend.

3 of us (2 adults 1 child) stayed for 1 night in the Executive Double room with breakfast. We pulled up to a lovely building, secluded and hidden, surrounded by lovely gardens. Every room in this place was beautifully decorated to a high standard. There's a small bar towards the back and lots of seating to relax and have a drink. Our room had a double bed and a large, decent quality sofa bed. The tv was placed in a bit of an awkward position, directly above the desk/vanity so you can't really use both at the same time. We were very conscious of how loud our child's voice was though because if one of us stepped out of the room, we could definitely hear him! So there was a lot of shushing involved. Beds and bedding was very comfortable and I didn't notice any noise from outside or the surrounding rooms. We used the pool where kids time is between 8:00 - 10:00 and 16:00 and 18:30. Really good pool with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi around the corner. Breakfast was a continental spread, which you could help yourself to, as well as a hot food menu. What I particularly liked was that the orange juice was real and fresh. Not long life carton juice like you often get a hotels! Very nice touch :) The staff were very welcoming and kind and I would definitely return for a little family break again.

Had a fabulous Spa day with my daughter. We had an amazing body scrub, back neck and shoulder massage and then a facial. Ellie and Jess were exceptional!!! Then onto a champagne afternoon tea, with some delightful treats and relax in the Relaxation lounge. All staff were fantastic and the facilities were great too! Highly recommend 😊
Debbie F — Google review
Do not stay here with children. This hotel is perfect for stag and hen nights. As you walk in you literally wade through loud spa users drinking booze and using the spa facilties. They wander the hotel in dressing gowns like they own the place. Revelry continues, people arrive back from wherever drunk. We had our door battered on, people were running up and down the corridors; screaming and shouting. There was a row underneath us and furniture being moved? We smelt smokers from the room opposite and weed at one point. Night staff were non contactable. No sign of them? Our child was frightened and none of us could sleep until after 4am. We checked out early behind a couple who had the same issues. The hotel offered their complaints contact; since then I've had no joy in receiving an overpromised customer service and refund for two rooms. The reputation of this hotel in my view is a joke and I wouldn't recommend it all. It should be used for business, Brands Hatch circuit/F1 and similar which is what it deserves not having people go there and behaving this way!
Chloë W — Google review
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our mid-week spa day at Brandshatch hotel. Five star treatment from Carlene, Jess and Elise. You are outstanding members of staff! Thank you for making us feel so relaxed and welcome 🙏

Lucia f&a assistant, was UNBELIEVABLY rude and made the amazing experience and lovely food a terrible dining experience. I didn't catch the name of the 2 guys that served our food but they were amazing and a laugh. But the rest of the service was by Lucia (I don't know if i got her name right) but it was a wasted experience at such a high praised establishment.

An amazing experience. Every single member of staff couldn't do enough for you. Attentive and professional. So calm and peaceful there and beautiful scenery. I can't wait to visit again. The staff were honestly so amazing 😊

Rowhill Grange, a lavish country estate nestled in the picturesque Kent countryside, boasts opulent rooms adorned with marble bathrooms. This 18th-century manor house is home to Utopia Spa, an acclaimed wellness sanctuary catering to guests seeking ultimate indulgence. Unwind in the spa's state-of-the-art facilities which include a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and a spacious indoor pool. Additionally, there is a Japanese pool equipped with underwater massage beds for that extra touch of luxury.
I have created some of the most beautiful memories of my adult life in this place. We went last week (August 2025) and it was quiet. It was just perfect, the restaurant food was out of this world and even though both saunas were closed for maintenance, both pools and the hot tub were more than enough to relax and reset. My only small complaint was the reception staff in the spa. Not very accommodating considering this is not a cheap place to stay. Overall 9/10 i would highly recommend this spa hotel for a lovely escape from any busy city 🩷
Katie H — Google review
TL:DR online directions are not accurate. reception is not well signposted or easy to find. Spa is small, hot tub had a film of dirty bubbles. They charge £7.50 for corkage and £50 for a late check out. - NO grace period. The corkage charge detered us from using the 2 main eateries in the hotel. We had adjoining rooms bluebell and orchid. Blue bell shower was the closest theis writer is likely to come to having old men with prostrate problems peeing on you. Orchid had a lovely bar area that bluebell didnt. Rooms gets very very very hot at night. we complained. But was made to feel like we were telling fibs and duty manager didnt seem that interested. Overall if you are looking for relaxing oppulent, luxury stay this place delivers dissapointment *Not sure why their response is to say they cant see my post...

A lovely one night stay to celebrate my birthday. We made full use of the pool and spa which was well laid out and very relaxing. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Ellie on reception. We had dinner in the bar and the food and service were excellent. We had a luxury king room that was very comfortable and not too hot in the current heatwave. Breakfast was also very good with a wide choice of hot & cold food.

Spent the afternoon at Rowhill Grange for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. We had the afternoon tea and it was amazing. The staff were all very kind, attentive and helpful including a new person on a trial shift! We were given time to set up the table and they provided a cake stand. There was no fuss for anything we asked. There were 6 of us where 3 had dietary requirements and one of those had allergies but they were not phased and provided wonderful alternatives. Delicious sandwiches, hot scones and wonderful cakes/patisserie items. We were not rushed and checked on periodically for extra tea. For the items we were too stuffed to eat we were given a lovely takeaway box. We were married there almost 29 years ago and the service has not changed at all! Thank you!
Nita H — Google review
We only visited the restaurant and the spa, not the hotel. For spa i left a separate review. This one about the restaurant only. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty and nicely presented, with fair prices. Portions vary: my Caesar salad was a good size and filling, but some dishes were unexpectedly small – the basil gazpacho, for example, came as four slices of celery with half a glass of cucumber-basil juice. Most guests dined in spa robes, creating a relaxed and democratic atmosphere.
Elena M — Google review
Testaments are really good, staff are great and the vegan afternoon tea is AMAZING. The spa is actually much smaller than you think. All of the things listed and shown in the pictures are there but when you go in you realise they are all very close together! Saunas are in the changing rooms. There's a small steam room in the main area along with 2 bubble pills and a small swimming pool upstairs. When I went there were few people there and it was perfect but it was easy to see how it could become overcrowded.
Jonathan R — Google review
We bought the Glo spa break package which included comfy king room, dinner (£40 per person included), breakfast, all day spa access till 1 pm the next day and couples 55 minute full body massage. We were upgraded to a luxury king room :). For the massage, one of the therapist did not show up for the couples massage. So they offered a massage for one of us and the other at 3pm with access to the spa till then. Or a refund for one massage. We chose the second option and requested around 25 minute massage each. They refunded one of the 55 minute massages. Dinner was fancy, haven’t tried these flavours before. The food was better than what other reviews say. Decent portions, beautiful presentation. The best part was the rich dark chocolate cremaux for dessert. The breakfast included one hot food item per person from the menu, and continental buffet. The food was good. The spa facilities were clean, nice water temperatures and pool side service. It was full but not crowded. Service was good and professional. Staff are welcoming and available. I would recommend this place for a couples weekend spa break.

The Spa Hotel is a blend of modern and classic luxury, housed in an 18th-century country manor. Situated just a short stroll from Tunbridge Wells Rail Station, the hotel spans across 14 acres of picturesque gardens and parkland. Guests can indulge in the spa's amenities such as a swimming pool, sauna (available with prior reservation), two gymnasiums, steam room, and flood-lit tennis court. The hotel also offers elegant accommodations for a tranquil stay.
A Truly Exemplary Stay and Venue for Any Occasion The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells is a truly exceptional venue that exceeded all my expectations. I recently attended a demanding two-day professional conference here, and the facilities, service, and accommodation were all top-notch. First-Class Venue and Facilities From an event perspective, the hotel is simply superb. The conference facilities were clean, well-maintained, and perfectly suited to our professional needs. It's clear that the hotel is an outstanding choice, not just for corporate events like ours, but also for private and social gatherings—the setting itself is beautiful and very welcoming. Modern Comfort and Exemplary Service My room was a peaceful retreat: modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable and relaxing space after a long day of meetings. However, the standout feature of my entire stay was the service. Every member of staff I interacted with was exemplary, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The team clearly takes pride in their work, which translated into a seamless and enjoyable experience for all the attendees. In short, if you are looking for a great hotel with fantastic facilities, modern rooms, and service that goes above and beyond, I wholeheartedly recommend the Spa Hotel. It is a brilliant venue for both a personal stay and for hosting a major event.

The Spa Hotel Royal Tunbridge Wells is in a beautiful location apart from the roadworks opposite the entrance which is noisy with lots of traffic. There is not a lot of atmosphere in the evenings and the bar service is hit and miss. Quite a lot of youngsters with not a lot of customer service skills. I think the hotel is more interested in functions to make money than hotel guests. The room was clean and really soft bath towels lovely modern bathroom and hot water. The orangery for breakfast was not on the ball with the food orders and hot drinks. We did not eat in in the evening as the service was poor at breakfast. The swimming pool is small but adequate however the changing facilities only have one cubicle which is not good enough. The staff did not explain how things worked not good enough on a first visit when you need to know what's what! The grounds are lovely! I would not stay again as it was a way out of the town center and getting taxis everywhere is too expensive!. It's not wonderful but it's ok

I've stayed a few times now for work and everytime I have a lovely stay. Beds are comfortable, rooms clean, slippers and teapots are a comfortable touch. Nice size rooms. The staff always go above and beyond, I usually eat in the bar and sausage/mash, burger or chicken tagliatelle are all great and breakfast is a great experience. Nice to have a swim and a sauna if I get time too. Always look to book here first if I need to go to area.

I stayed at The Spa Hotel to be close to the venue for my friend’s wedding, and I was initially drawn in by the idea of enjoying the spa facilities the next day. While the spa area itself was well kept and enjoyable, the rest of the stay unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. The room felt outdated and not as clean or fresh as I would expect from a hotel at this price point. Walking through the corridors, I noticed the carpets had noticeable stains, which gave the place a rather tired feel. The breakfast buffet was also underwhelming, with limited options and not the quality you’d hope for. At £280 for one night, it didn’t feel like good value for money. I was expecting a more polished and higher standard experience overall. On a positive note, the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, which was a highlight of the stay. And as mentioned, the spa was the best part, providing a relaxing environment. Overall, while the location and spa were good, the price and standard of the rooms didn’t match the experience.

Great stay. Came for our wedding anniversary and we received a room upgrade which was beautiful lovely size, large bathroom with double shower and bath. Nice countryside views. Ate out locally so didn't try the restaurant but the champagne bar made great cocktails. Great service from staff too. Grounds are beautiful and the spa/fitness suite was great. All in all good value stay and would come again.

Really lovely hotel with character and great amenities. The pool/spa area was an additional cost. The grounds are lovely with loads of space to relax outside. Restaurant good. Plenty of parking and then great walks into town where there are so many eating options, streets with character and decent shops. Staff friendly. Would stay again.

Spent a very relaxing day enjoying the new Wellness suite which recently opened. The facilities are brilliant. The staff were attentive and very helpful and the afternoon tea and treatments were top notch. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a lovely relaxing spa day. Will definitely return again soon!

This is a review only if you are looking to use the gym/spa on a monthly memberhsip. I did not stay at the hotel. Several issues: No squat rack available (and staff were uncertain when asked about this, which was disappointing given their role). The gym appeared somewhat unclean and in need of repair, with noticeable issues on the walls and in the workout space. The changing rooms were very small and difficult to use without bumping into others or fixtures. The changing rooms were uncomfortably cold. The gym space overall was far smaller than suggested by the information provided I would strongly advise people to look elsewhere as it is nowhere near worth £78 a month for membership

The Yarrow Hotel is a charming and comfortable accommodation located in the East Kent College campus. The hotel features simple yet cosy rooms, a restaurant/bar, and even a hair & beauty salon. Managed by experienced professionals, the hotel also provides opportunities for apprentices and trainees from hospitality courses to gain hands-on experience. Situated in the picturesque town of Broadstairs, guests can enjoy free WiFi, a restaurant, bar, and spa area with Jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna.
We wanted a short stay in Broadstairs near the beach that was quiet and found "The Yarrow". Originally I was looking for something along the seafront but as I'd left it late there wasn't much available and The Yarrow looked like a nice place and was only about a 15 minute walk to the town. On arrival there was quite a few parking spaces and a couple were free so we didn't have trouble parking. Receptionist who greeted us was lovely and made us feel welcome. Our room didn't have a fridge so you have to request fresh milk from reception for tea/coffee which wasn't an issue. We had a double deluxe room which was just under £200 for the night and found it suitably adequate. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean with a small bath/shower, the aircon was most welcome in the room and the room was spacious with a high ceiling. Breakfast the next morning was from 8am-10am and was a breakfast buffet so you go and get what you like and you can choose from fried breakfast (bacon, hash browns, beans, sausage, mushroom etc, or continental with cereal boxes, muffins, fruit, granola pots and drinks with a hot drinks machine. The breakfast was spot on so no complaints from us. We like Broadstairs and The Yarrow was a good hotel choice for us so we would recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay for one night in Broadstairs. The location was excellent, close to the sea but quiet and tucked away. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities required. The Internet was very fast and there were no issues connecting. The breakfast was plentiful and we'll cooked, a mixture of buffet and cooked to order items.

The Yarrow is a beautiful hotel located just a short walk from Broadstairs town centre and the seafront. Although we only stayed for one night it left a lasting impression and we would certainly stay here again. Our room was a large suite, the size of a 1 bedroom apartment. Clean and well maintained. The bathroom had a roll top bath tub which we both enjoyed and the bed was king-sized and super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very nice, especially the sausages. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Broadstairs!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good quality and a large selection covering most people's needs. Lift only to the first floor. Room was clean and tidy tea, cofee and soap changed daily. Only a ten minute walk to beach and town all down hill yes that means it's all up hill after a great day out. I would be more than happy to stay again.

We visited for a family party, My partner and I had a junior suite, the price was around £250, the suite was fairly large but there was some flaws and issues with cleanliness. I will admit I did not complain about this but as we were staying the one night didn't fancy the room hopping. There was dust (visible cobwebs caked in dust) on most of the light fittings. There was no fridges in any of the rooms meaning you had to phone down reception for fresh milk, it also meant your complimentary water was always tepid if not warm. My sister had a worse experience as there was stains on the carpets, again visible dustwebs on light fittings and the air cons units. The TVs are heavily outdated with no smart features what so ever. The layout of the suite seemed odd two TVs for an assumed separation of the bedroom and the sitting area however the door had been removed. Also the small sofa was too small for two small children to share let alone adults. When she raised this with reception, a gentleman who came around saying it seemed slightly warm in there and that she had it on the wrong setting. Instead of cool she should have had it on fan.....then went through the added time wasting of explaining the room was warm because she had the smallest window open and that it null and voids Aircon....not an untrue statement but when the room felt like a beach in Brazil an unwelcome one. He went downstairs came back said the Aircon was working fine then came back 5 minutes later and admitted without apology that the system was showing 18C upon rebooting the system it was closer to 28C..... The bar is also extortionate, two red bulls cost around £9 I appreciate this is a boutique hotel aimed at the higher paying guests...... The breakfast was good but no different to what you would get into a premier inn. However their accommodation and service should match....sadly this did not

We had our wedding meal and an overnight stay here earlier this week. The food was exceptional and the staff were absolutely incredible. From the waiting staff to the receptionist all really lovely. The spa was clean and relaxing after a hectic day. The suite was spacious and perfect to unwind in. Highly recommended hotel and will definitely return again. Thank you

Lovely hotel about 10 minutes walk from several sandy beaches. We went on Sunday and Monday when the restaurant was closed but this was reflected in the cheaper price. We ate in the bar which was very acceptable. The breakfast choice was exceptionally good.

My sister and i went to the spa yesterday and honestly had such a lovely day! The treatments were lovely and very relaxing. Jess was doing my treatments and she was very informative with the products that were being used and generally a lovely girl! Bobbie who works at the reception was amazing and really made me and my sister at ease upon arrival and through our spa journey. Thank you Jess and Bobbie for really making our experience. We will definitely be booking for a little birthday getaway!

Spa review only. I went in August and thought I had already posted this. Overall I was disappointed with this spa. I booked the indulgent experience spa day which includes treatments, lunch and access to the spa facilities for £135. - I was firstly surprised that you had to pay for parking if you spend more than a few hours there. This is not what I would expect if I’ve already paid for a spa day that is all day long. There was also no warning of this until I got to the spa and parked. - The gym is very very small but functional with treadmills, cross trainer, cable machine, free weight dumbbells, a bench press and a machine for chest/shoulder presses. - The sauna and steam room are small. They could each fit about 3-4 people comfortably. - There is no hot tub/jacuzzi but a reasonably sized swimming pool. - There are only 2 heated loungers and about 8 normal beach loungers. I was by myself on one of the heated loungers and a lady that is a member of the spa/gym came to use the other one. She said the lounger I was on was always hotter and when I go she’d move over to use it. This made me feel like I was under pressure to move on and I couldn’t relax fully. - The lunch was lacklustre. A sandwich and crisps for my main and then a slice of cold chocolate cake for dessert. I’m used to a warm/cooked spa lunch. The glass of Prosecco was fine. - My treatment was underwhelming too. I got the fit for business back ritual and the invigorating foot treatment. After being exfoliated I had to traipse round to the main female changing room to shower off. I’ve been to spas where there is a shower cubicle within the treatment room. I don’t feel like the massage after was great either. Maybe picking another treatment would’ve been better. I wouldn’t return simply because I don’t think it’s worth the money paid. They need to either halve the price or make major improvements to the offerings.

Visited for a spa day with my husband for our anniversary. Every interaction with the staff was 5/5. Fantastic team who were all so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Summer for a great dining experience. Food was lovely! Really like the ordering process. I would say I didn’t realise the spa was also open as a semi leisure centre which I would say had a slight effect on the atmosphere as there were people bringing in big sports bags and putting them on the loungers next to us, walking around in trainers and just generally being a little bit louder than what you’d usually find in a spa. Also, I would say to be mindful of the amount of water all around the pool which is signposted but looks bad and could easily be swept every now and then.

Myself and my partner spent a night at this hotel. We booked the superior room with a afternoon tea the next day and spar treatment. We arrived at the hotel and was instantly aware that the hotel was looking tired and dated and found it very hard to understand how it was 4 star and the difference between the reality and the online photos! The room was dusty and also tired looking, although the bathroom was nice it didn't make up for the £209 we had payed. After putting my bag on the armchair in the room the evening before, I picked my bag up to find human excrement on the chair! We instantly gathered our belonging and left as soon as reception opened. We informed reception of what we found, human excrement, toenail clippings by the bed and general dust. We payed the bill in full £509 This included the room, afternoon tea we didn't stay for and Spar treatment. The spar called us to see where we were as we hadn't arrived and just laughed when we told them. I have emailed little breaks travel company to inform them as we booked through them to warn them not to send anyone. But as yet have not had a reply. I have photos of the chair and room if the manager would like me to forward them

Had an excellent spa day. I had 2 treatments with Miszey. She was absolutely brilliant. I felt so relaxed and she was genuinely interested in which treatment I wanted and made me feel relaxed the whole time. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be returning for more treatment and another spa day. The hotel was lovely. Coffee and food were really good. All in all a great day.

We paid over £200 to upgrade to the executive suite, yet the rooms were dirty, dusty, and nowhere near 4-star standard. I honestly don’t know how this place has 4.1 stars on Google or claims to be a 4-star hotel. Customer service was just as bad. While the night staff were kind and accommodating to my pregnant sister and disabled brother, the morning staff were rude and unprofessional. The red-haired woman in particular shouted at us, refused a late check-out, and even tried to overcharge us for breakfast and extra cars that weren’t ours. Very disappointing overall. I truly hope management takes this review seriously and provides proper staff training, because this level of service is unacceptable.

we had an event local to this hotel and a lot of the people attending got recommended this hotel due to the proximity and I hope anyone considering to stay rethinks it is not our job as paying guests to remain calm while your staff fumble around and fail to communicate internally. The level of incompetence, miscommunication, and outright disrespect we experienced was shocking.i This hotel needs serious retraining of both management and front desk staff especially the lady with the red hair. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic hospitality ruined what should have been a simple, stress-free stay. I will absolutely be taking this complaint further and posting it across my platforms so others don’t make the same mistake of staying here. We was slapped with a £150 "tab" of food we cancelled as it took over 2 hours, We was charged for parking even though we paid upon checking in. They kept charging our cards even after leaving the hotel. The bedding was damp.

Nestled in the heart of Kent's picturesque countryside, Hempstead House Hotel & Spa is a charming Victorian country house that offers an exquisite blend of luxury and comfort. Set on four acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, this privately owned hotel features smartly designed en suite rooms equipped with modern amenities like high-speed WiFi. The property boasts a brand-new spa, opened in 2008, along with an inviting indoor pool for relaxation.
A beautiful countryside retreat that perfectly combines luxury, comfort, and attention to detail. I loved how peaceful and elegant the whole atmosphere felt from the moment I arrived — warm lighting, classic decor, and a welcoming scent that immediately makes you feel at ease. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and tastefully furnished, with quality bedding and all the amenities you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. I especially appreciated how quiet the surroundings are — it’s ideal for relaxation or a romantic weekend away. The spa facilities are outstanding: the pool area is clean and calm, the sauna and steam room are perfectly maintained, and the staff are professional and kind. Treatments are top-quality, using premium products and offering real therapeutic benefits. Dining here was another highlight — the food is fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavour. Service throughout the hotel is consistently excellent — attentive but never intrusive. I’d recommend Hempstead House to anyone looking for a refined and relaxing experience in Kent. Every visit feels like a short holiday, and the care shown by the staff truly elevates the stay to a 5-star standard.

Absolutely excellent hotel. A great find. The welcome in reception from Kerry (Kelly?) was friendly, the room was clean and large, and the breakfast served by Lisa was just superb. The spa is modern and clean with massive hot tub, sauna, and steam. Plenty of parking, nice grounds and a top notch group of staff.. and all of that at a decent price. Thoroughly recommended, I will be returning.

Fantastic Venue! We held our wedding reception at Hempstead House, and cannot praise the venue and the staff highly enough. Danny the wedding organiser was perfect and really made us feel at ease and confident that everything would run smoothly, which it did! Our guests commented on the professionalism of Danny and the whole team. The food was first class. We had some rooms included in our wedding package, which were very comfy and luxurious, plus the breakfast was superb. Well done to Danny and all the team at Hempstead House, we have no hesitation in recommending this venue for a wedding, or simply as a nice hotel for a relaxing stay! Thank you!

We recently had another fantastic stay at the Hempstead House Hotel & Spa, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. We were so impressed with our first visit that we knew we had to come back. Our stay in the Ashby Suite was just as wonderful as we remembered. It truly feels like a private, little home away from home—warm, inviting, and incredibly comfortable. From the moment we checked in, the service was impeccable. Hempstead House is more than just a hotel; it's an experience. The tranquil setting and exceptional spa facilities make it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We can't wait to book our next trip!

My mum and I always return to Hempstead house for special occasions. Whether it be afternoon teas, the rooms or the service at dinner, we cannot falter the excellent service and the friendly staff we encounter whenever we return. The rooms are always immaculately clean and we are always looked after regarding services during meal times. The menus are classy with ample portions and the ambience of the whole hotel and spa is relaxing and mellow. Whenever we have a special occasion, we always return and sometimes in between for a relaxing break. We get sad leaving this place when we have to check out and will always return! Thank you Hempstead House team for making our time always perfect and enjoyable!

We had a family birthday party here in early September and it couldn't have been better. Some of us stayed and some came for the day. We were all looked after perfectly 👌 The hotel itself is lovely - beautiful rooms, great spa facility, nice bar & restaurant, lovely surroundings. The staff were brilliant and treated my uncle like a King, moving him around the hotel in his wheelchair whenever he wanted to go anywhere. There was lots going on at the hotel but they made us feel like we were the only guests even though they must have been super busy behind the scenes. It's a very well run hotel and a great place to stay, within close reach of interesting places to visit and great walking along the coast and inland. Pretty perfect really!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly wonderful experience at Hempstead House Hotel and Spa. The setting is beautiful and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The spa facilities were spotless and well-maintained, and the treatments were excellent. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, professional, and always happy to help. From the comfortable rooms to the overall atmosphere, everything was top quality. Would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing escape. The restaurant was equally impressive. I started with the chicken liver, which was rich, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavour. For the main course, I had the steak — cooked exactly to my liking and beautifully presented. I finished with the cheeseboard, which offered a fantastic selection of cheeses and accompaniments. Every course was delicious, and the service throughout dinner was attentive without being intrusive. A real highlight of the stay!

Lovely hotel with Spa and indoor as well as outdoor pool. Restaurant Menu is a bit uninspiring but food is good quality. We stayed in room 34 and the ventilation is really noisy and cannot be turned off so a low hum throughout the night requires you to drink heavily to be knocked out 🤔😆. I do like the views and location. Will keep this place in mind for future stays.

Located in the heart of Kent, near major transportation hubs and local attractions, Ashford International Hotel & Spa offers contemporary rooms and extensive meeting space. The 179 spacious bedrooms feature stylish decor, flat screen TVs, and air conditioning for a comfortable stay. The rejuvenating spa provides various treatments in six treatment rooms while the fitness and spa center boasts a 20-meter indoor pool, rock sauna, steam room, and beauty rooms.
We recently booked a two week holiday back to the UK and stayed at the Ashford International Hotel on arrival and again for 4 days before returning home to Germany. The hotel is ideally situated for the Dover ferry port (half an hour's drive away) and the Channel Tunnel. The hotel also offers free parking. Our room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. We had a lovely relaxing time and very much enjoyed using the health club facilities during our stay. All the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Receptionist Julie was particularly helpful on arrival, which we very much appreciated. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice and you could order continental meat and cheese plates from the kitchen as well. The waiting staff were always friendly and helpful. In the evenings I sometimes chose a kids fish and chips for supper and the portion was very generous in size, freshy prepared and very good value for money. We will certainly return in the future and will recommend the hotel to our family and friends.

I booked this hotel via booking.com. My husband is seriously disabled and can only walk very short distances, two or three steps then must sit down. When I booked I requested a downstairs room, I made it clear he couldn’t climb stairs. We arrived as arranged on Thursday evening, 25th September 2025. Finding parking near the spa, because we were not sure where to park. I asked a passerby on site as to disabled parking. Hence why we parked near the spa. We then proceeded to walk to reception. This was difficult as my husband’s condition meant he had to stop and rest every few seconds. I got him to a seat, and approached reception. There was a queue so I had a short wait. I checked in and was told that our room was 201. I asked why and was told that the room was the closest one to the lift. The receptionist then directed me to the lifts. Past the stairs two lifts. The first lift stopped and as my frail husband attempted to get in, the lift door closed on him. I put my leg in to stop the door closing. The lift jerked and I was able to get in. When we got to the floor and looked for the room, we had to walk along two LONG corridors to get to our room. The room was beautiful, but the long walk had exhausted my husband and he needed to lie down. We both slept well, and when we checked out the young woman on reception asked us if we’d enjoyed our stay and was everything ok. I explained that we were disappointed with the fact we couldn’t be a. Imitated on the ground floor. She checked the records and said that there were rooms free for the previous Erving and she could t understand it. She said I should have come down to complain perhaps in hindsight I should have. Then she told me that we would have had to pay extra for an upgraded room. I paid my bill and left. I’m afraid I won’t be returning again

Attended a conference at this venue. Very spacious inside, lots of seating areas pre event to wait. Bar food pretty low quality- minimal staff for service. Glass my water came in was dirty, then took 10 mins to replace as bar not attended. Bottled water £5 each! Conference space however was good. Calm atmosphere at venue but lacked any music or charm.

We enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. Room and hotel were very clean and comfortable. We got there late at night and had to leave early in the morning, so didn't get to use any of their amenities, but breakfast was good (with good options) and room fridge was stocked with beer! Check in and check out were very smooth and quick. A bit on the expensive side. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again (at a lower rate though!)

Warm Staff & Comfortable Stay, But a Few Misses I booked a stay at Ashford International Hotel & Spa well in advance as a birthday treat for a friend. We were given a standard twin room—though I’m unsure if that was arranged by the hotel or the booking company. The beds were very comfortable, though the bases looked a little worn, and on arrival, we did find some bugs on the window ledge. Fortunately, after calling reception, this was quickly resolved. The hotel amenities were very good, and what really stood out was the quality of the staff. Every team member we came across was welcoming, polite, and friendly, creating a lovely atmosphere throughout our stay. A special mention to Heidi, one of the servers, who truly went above and beyond. She was warm, thoughtful, and made us feel like more than just guests—thank you, Heidi, for making our time feel extra special. As this was a birthday celebration I’d planned months ahead, I had quietly hoped that someone might acknowledge the occasion in some small way to help mark it—just a little gesture would have gone a long way. All in all, a mostly lovely stay, made memorable by the wonderful staff.

It is a nice hotel and the room was comfortable except for lumpy pillows. Breakfast was fine and the croissant passed the test on day 2 and 3. Sadly the bar had no English beer which it a treat I give myself when in the UK. Fortunately the supermarket next door had a good selection.

Came for a training day/conference. Facilities all very pleasant. Only complaint was that throught the day the food and drink provided was not replenished frequently enough. Didn't love the lunch in the restaurant either. Very greasy and the desserts were just a bit sloppy. I've had better experiences there before though so perhaps just an odd day for the kitchen.

London Beach Country Hotel Spa & Golf Club is a serene country retreat with comfortable rooms and a brasserie featuring a terrace. While the rooms may have slightly outdated decor, they offer underfloor heating and great views of the golf landscape.
It was my friend’s birthday and we were looking for somewhere to have a nice night away without breaking the bank. This place hit all the right boxes! It’s dog friendly so we were able to bring our best friends and had a king size bed each giving us so much room to be comfortable in. The beds were comfy the rooms were clean and it’s so nice to have a little outdoor balcony which I imagine in the summer is lovely! We made use of the January offer so enjoyed time in the spa which had a ladies only area and hot tub which was such a luxury it was so tranquil and inviting. Spent two nights here in the room with the four poster bed and outstanding views across the golf course and beyond. The room was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. I liked the double room with a balcony over looking the golf course, bed was comfortable. Tv was missing most of its channels which was a pain. Food was great, service was a bit slow when waiting for the menu. I think the website is a bit misleading with the pool and spa, unless you read every part to the end it implies the pool and spa are for use of the guests !! Well it is for £25. Apart from that it's quite nice.

I visited my favourite spa... just for some pamper treatments. I had the salt and oil body scrub, which never disappoints 💫 I also enjoyed the full body massage which was sublime. I intend on returning very soon for one of their amazing facials and perhaps a spray tan 🥰 I love their spa facilities and often treat myself and my daughter to a day here. I do think their overall appearance is looking very tired and in need of an update ( even the windows don't get cleaned any more ) but saying that, it will always be my favourite spa destination

Check-in was simple and straightforward. Easy to find your room as well signposted. The room is large, plenty of space but limited draws, likely due to the large wardrobe. However, if you're not hanging up clothes or wanting to live out your suitcase it is limited (not a deal breaker for us) The main gripe with the room was the door! Now, a lot of this is on guests, but when leaving the room closing the door gently is a challenge. It can be done, but we found, at least with our neighbours, they had no intention of taking their time, so a lot of slamming was heard regardless of the time of day/night. Food - we only had breakfast as we ate out in the evening. However, the breakfast was always cooked to order. Fresh, hot and tasty! Quick to arrive from ordering as well. Bit of a weird set-up for the continental side, as one day there was a toaster on the bench, then it wasn't ever there again, which is a shame, as it proved to be popular. You could ask for toast, but I would much prefer the do it yourself method. Small gripe as each person is different. Plenty of tea/coffee available, orange juice and apple juice. Water was there the first 2 mornings but not the last 2, again, can be asked for. The hotel is accessible with a wheelchair or pram/pushchair and has a lift (don't be alarmed by it's movement, it's a little jerky) Overall, while in need of a little updating (bit paint in the hallways, etc) this hotel has a charm within it. The staff were all friendly and nothing seemed a bother for them to do for guests. I would absolutely recommend if visiting the area to stay here and we will book again!

Attended for Mothers Day. The restaurant staff were extremely polite and courteous. The food was excellent. Plenty of it at the carvery, and all produced to a very high standard. Edit. Attended for steak night. The bar manager was extremely professional and welcoming. Excellent food Edit. Unbooked visit, just for a drink. The young man at the bar was very helpful. 'May' on reception behaved in such a professional way. Poise, good manners, welcoming, friendly. Very well presented and smart. A real credit to this lovely venue.

Definetly recommend and would return. Fantastic location with beautiful surroundings—truly a hidden gem! While it’s a paradise for golfers, it offers something for everyone. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the pet-friendly atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful time exploring the nearby High Weald National Landscape, just a 30-minute drive away, with its scenic walking and biking trails. Evenings were well spent at the London Beach Hotel, where we enjoyed peaceful strolls around the golf course followed by a lovely dinner. Renting the golf carts was a highlight—especially for the kids, who had an absolute blast!

The Ferry House Inn is a charming countryside establishment in Kent, offering cozy rooms and cottages adorned with warm furnishings. Nestled amidst three acres of picturesque gardens, this 16th century pub boasts breathtaking sea views along the Swale Estuary on the Isle of Sheppey. With its inviting open log fires, traditional wooden beams, and solid oak floors, the inn exudes a rustic charm. The four en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated and feature beautiful furniture.
We had a fabulous wedding at the Ferry House. From the start of the planning through to the wedding ceremony and reception we received excellent service from the wedding planning team and the service staff on the day. Our host Sam was brilliant and no stone was left unturned with the help to us personally to ensuring the day just flowed! Service was to the standard of excellence, The buffet food was delicious and well presented. Its a beautiful drive to the Ferry house and the views are wonderful. I would highly recommend booking your wedding at the Ferry House.

We got married on Thursday 24th July 2025. We viewed the venue back in May 2023 and were made to feel so welcomed and special from the moment we entered the building, giving us all those wedding feels straight away, and the feeling this venue being the one for us. Weddings are known for being stressful, but The Ferry House team are so helpful and on hand to answer any questions responding quickly, in particular Sam our wedding coordinator who took all that stress away from us making our wedding planning experience a really enjoyable one! The day of the wedding was nothing but chilled vibes, no stress or worries and this was all thanks to Taryn, Sam and the team who were on hand throughout the day to ensure we had everything we needed for a stress free morning getting ready for our big day. From providing breakfast platters, topping up our drinks and bringing that feel good vibe to the getting ready rooms and ensuring we were relaxed and soaking up every magical moment in the lead up to the ceremony. We had our ceremony in the barn and wedding breakfast in the event suite, and what beautiful set up these area are. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is, the deliciousness of the food (Clear plates all round is a winner in my eyes) and the attentiveness of the staff - we really couldn’t have asked for anymore. We had the two day package which meant we had the evening before with our immediate family sharing a grazing board of delicious sandwiches, meats, chutneys, cheeses and more, breakfast the morning of, and morning after the wedding included the options of cereal, and a full English from local produce. This made our wedding even more special and those wedding feels last a little longer - a week later we’ve still got family talking about how it felt like a lovely mini break and wedding blues are now sinking in wanting to do it all over again. The venue itself is remote, but in a beautiful, quiet area with stunning views - very picturesque. The rooms were clean, spacious and had stunning views on the waterside, all our guests said the beds were really comfortable and they felt welcomed and enjoyed their stay. Overall our Ferry House wedding was absolutely amazing, a day I will never forget. and I cannot recommend The Ferry House enough to anyone considering staying, eating, or getting married here - you will not be disappointed.

My first time working here. As a wedding photographer that works at many wedding venues every year there only a very few that really make a difference to the customers experience. This has to be one of the loveliest and well run wedding venues I have worked at. I have to say, from the moment I arrived I could tell this venue really know how to put on a wedding. The venue itself is gorgeous! Nothing was too much trouble for the team that run the day. The photo opportunities in and around the gardens are endless. In a nutshell, I give this amazing wedding venue 5 out of five. Having been to hundreds of wedding venues over the years I rate the Ferry House well within my top 10 of all time! If you are reading this review and looking for your perfect wedding venue don’t just take my word for it. Put it at the top of your “to visit list” go pay them a visit and see for yourself just how beautiful and expertly run it is. Well done the Ferry House…keep it up!

Couldn’t have asked for more! We absolutely loved our summer wedding at The Ferry House and we’re so happy we chose such a special place to celebrate with our loved ones. Maxine and the team were so incredibly helpful right from the moment we booked our wedding day. They made the planning process so much easier and enjoyable, we really couldn’t have pulled it off without all the effort and thought from the team. The venue on the day looked stunning and the attention to detail was very much noticed and appreciated. They helped with any request big or small and we had so many comments from guests on how beautiful the venue was and the amazing service.

We couldn’t have asked for a more magical wedding experience! From the moment we booked, the planning process was effortless—the team was incredibly organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. If any questions or concerns arose, they were promptly addressed, and they made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and enjoyable. The rooms and getting ready spaces were ideal- comfortable, romantic, and everything we needed. We also rented out the Mocketts Cottages and it was such a treat to have so many of our family and friends stay close by. The staff were an absolute dream to work with—friendly, professional, and always ready with a smile. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made us feel truly celebrated. The venue itself was stunning, and our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was. And the food- wow! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could truly taste the quality and care, with locally sourced ingredients too. If you're looking for a place that combines elegance, warmth, and top-notch service, this is it. We’re so grateful to have chosen The Ferry House—it was the perfect backdrop for the best day of our lives!

The setting was beautiful but the staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly. The small plates were tasty but the mains were nothing like the description on the menu. The servings were very small. The bedroom was very small and had cobwebs on the ceiling. Buffet breakfast was good but needed something other than jam for the toast. The sign that the vegetables are all coming from their kitchen garden is misleading as we were told that there is no kitchen garden as they are building and expanding. The place lacked a warm hospitality that can only come from the staff.

We had the most amazing wedding day here on 28 June. The venue is beautiful, and felt private and intimate, with views across the estuary, and still being less than an hour drive from London. All of our guests commented on how peaceful and beautiful the venue was! The team were brilliant, from booking right through to the wedding itself. Maxine was our coordinator, working alongside Chloe on the day, and they both went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly (including saving me when I got bird poo stains all over my dress right before walking down the aisle!). We loved the rustic feel of the barn and the relaxed atmosphere it created. We are so thankful to the whole team and venue for giving us such a memorable day!!

Ate in the restaurant with the in laws, both fussy eaters, father in law deaf & considers pizza as “foreign food” mother in law has dementia and can’t remember what she likes or what she orders. I went straight on the beer to dull the cringe of being one of “Those” tables. Our waitress was so helpful, considerate and courteous, everything done with a smile. She made it a lovely evening for us. The chef was also very accommodating with the fussy eaters. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent. It was really a case of if it could be done they were happy to do it. Fantastic food and fantastic staff, will definitely be coming back (with out the in laws)

A totally different spa experience. We felt totally pampered & really enjoyed the day. The body massage was superb & the warm pool was totally relaxing. It is hard to fully describe the serenity of the day- relaxing with views of the stunning grounds. Lunch was tasty & it was pleasant to chat with other guests. The signpost pointing to “Reality” as you leave says it all!

Brilliant! I have just returned from a 'day spa' at 'Tor Spa'. It was the best spa experience I have been fortunate to receive in many years. The massage was also the best full body massage, given by Lizzie, that I have experienced in a long time - a real massage - my body feels great! The pool, sauna and steam are perfect for the spa. The garden beautiful, the ponds, the food delicious. The hosts could not have been any more welcoming, kind and generous. I am very grateful for the whole experience. I am very much looking forward to returning. Thank you. Amazing day.

I had the most wonderful experience at Tor Spa Retreat in Canterbury and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the tranquil, rustic beauty of the surroundings, set in the heart of nature, with birdsong, lush greenery, and peaceful water features that immediately soothe the soul. I had a back and shoulder massage and a salt brush treatment with the lovely Sigi, who was warm, professional, and incredibly skilled. She made me feel completely at ease, and the treatments were divine, both relaxing and invigorating. I left feeling like a new person! The staff throughout the spa were friendly, welcoming, and clearly well-trained, creating a calm and nurturing atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. It really is a hidden gem, perfect for anyone looking to unwind, recharge, and be truly cared for. Tor Spa isn’t flashy—it’s authentically beautiful, filled with character and surrounded by wildlife. If you’re craving serenity, nature, and top-tier holistic treatments, this place is a dream. I can’t wait to return!

The perfect location and tranquil setting - we didn't make use of the spa facility as were staying for proximity to Wilderness Weddings in Preston. On arrival Ruth welcomed us and did everything she could to make my elderly parents comfortable in more accessible rooms than the ones allocated. Breakfasts were delivered at 9am in a basket and were awesome! Tea and coffee could be made in the room - the 'kettle' was efficient and really noisy, especially at night. If you visit check out the road sign which points out the way to the Car Park, Spa and Reality. The whole experience with the team made a memorable weekend extra special. Also recommendations to eat at the Duke William and visit Gibsons Farm shop proved hugely enjoyable.

Really disappointed with this place. The lake and outdoor space are lovely, but the interior doesn’t deliver the luxurious relaxation it promises. The sauna and steam rooms are very small—especially considering they allow up to 18 day guests. With just two of us in the steam room, it already felt full. The walls around the pool are painted to resemble the seaside, which honestly reminded me of the Burstin Hotel in Folkestone. Nothing against the Burstin—it’s only £4 to use the pool and sauna there—but this place markets itself at a completely different level. The worst part was the "massage." I’ve been having treatments for my back for 25 years, and I can safely say this was the least effective experience I’ve ever had. My wife and I both asked for more pressure, but the therapist just continued applying oil with no noticeable difference. Unlike other treatments, the website didn’t specify that the back and shoulder massage was an abhyanga massage, so it didn’t meet our expectations at all—in fact, it left me feeling more tense. We raised this with the host at reception afterward and were told they would be in touch about “what they could do.” After hearing nothing, I emailed them to request a refund. They refused. I asked them to reconsider, and after that, I never heard back. Unfortunately, their customer service seems to match the standard of their treatments.

Marvellous Kelsey facial with Vicki. It's not just a facial, it's back, hand and foot massage plus a facial. The products are all made from locally sourced, organic ingredients and smell incredible. It was so relaxing, I woke myself up with a snore!! 🙂🙂🙂 Thank you

I recnetly visited with my wife for a spa day and overnight stay. I was really impressed by the management who greatly exceeded my expectations to make this a really special break for us both. A special mention to Ruth who truly went "above and beyond". The treatments were really relaxing and we really enjoyed spending time in the garden (we got lucky with the bank holiday weather!) and using the spa's facilities during the day. The lunch was also really tasty and there were a selection of teas and coffee available for all of the day. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a lovely view over the garden and pond. All towels, gowns and slippers were provided. In the evening we enjoyed a walk around the village and surrounding area and enjoyed a meal and drink at the local pub. I'd really recommend Tor Spa for a short break.

Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel is a charming hotel and wedding venue located in Kent, offering various options for celebrating special occasions. The hotel is situated close to Maidstone and surrounded by 26 acres of landscaped grounds with a picturesque lake. It features a health club, indoor pool, and dining facilities. The venue offers tailored wedding packages to ensure a unique experience for couples.
Booking & communication (over dog policy & charges) all handled quickly. On arrival reception very welcoming, Decor is tired but the room was spotlessly clean & comfortable. Dinner on first of our 3 night stay was a very long evening with an hour between courses (apparently a flood of room meal orders), our server, Debbie did her best & throughout our stay was cheerful & helpful. The food was excellent. Breakfast, again dog friendly (we travelled with our 2 black Labradors - who loved the grounds) the buffet selection was wonderful. Debbie looked after us, she is a great asset to your company. Another member of staff stood out for us, Steve, who was on reception during the evening, was cheerful, helpful and friendly. We will be back again and have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to our friends.

The hotel itself was a nice hotel with good facilities. The breakfast was very good. Dinner was absolutely delicious! What made this hotel was the team. Every single person, from reception to restaurant, bar, breakfast, health club, beauty therapists, housekeeping were all extremely polite, courteous and professionally. They all went the extra mile. Thank you to everyone!

A massive thank you to Nina who booked our room as we left the Tunbridge Wells Mercure at around 09.35 this morning feeling very disappointed after booking in. Literally 30 minutes later we arrived here at the Great Danes to a lovely warm welcome from Nina. Our room was accessible via a few steps with a handrail down to the lift, which took us to our floor, we both have disabilities but this was manageable for us. The decor isn't new, maybe tired (but so are we!) for us that took nothing away from our lovely fresh smelling bright room with a comfortable chair for my Husband to sit in, and a superb desk and chair for me to do my writing from. Coffee machine, kettle etc all here for us to use, and an enormous bed, super clean looking bedding, lovely clean towels, toilet, shower/bath etc.. We even had a view of the lake which was super. We spent a lovely day at the Danes, it was a very much welcome break from my caring role 24/7 365 days being a carer around my person. 17 years since I've had a break away from her to relax, I'm so fatigued and struggling with health issues, when the carer needs care... ? Hello..? Nope, nobody there! If you're in a similar position, don't do a Melissa, please take care of yourself and have some time to relax, the vibe and the hug from the Danes was just what we both needed. ... and it was our first break for us ... ever and we've been married for 19 years! Thank you Nina for listening and making this happen today at such sort notice. ✨️

This is a hotel desperately in need of renovation. Stayed with family on way to another attraction. Interior and rooms needed updating 15 years ago. Old style magnetic card locks. Comically freezing or boiling fixed position showers. Half broken beds. Windows you couldn't close without clambering onto the window sill. Fans in the room was nice but clearly to counter overheating. Had a studio room which did sleep 4 but with a weird layout. Comical lack of plug sockets for inevitable bedside phone charging. Dropped floorboards. A fridge that dripped and barely cooled. Went to the pool with the kids. Holes ripped in the ceiling were ominous. So many missing tiles and sharp corners. No safety oversight either. Restaurant was ok but very expensive for the mediocre quality. I wouldn't stay again. I know Mercure vary but I'd prefer a modern clean ibis...

Had a very tasty and enjoyable afternoon tea at Great Danes yesterday. Very easy to book both by phone contact and in person at reception and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Spoke with chef Andrew re dietary needs before hand and the sandwiches and cakes were all perfect on the day. It was a belated birthday treat for my 87 year old mum and she really enjoyed the beautifully laid out tablet and the ambience of the lounge area and the ease to arrive and leave the hotel. Thankyou to the team at Great Danes.

The BEST WESTERN Premier Dover Marina Hotel & Spa is a charming seafront hotel located in Dover, Kent. Situated opposite the beach and within walking distance of Dover Town Centre, it's an ideal choice for business, leisure, meetings, and weddings.
Really enjoyable stay… Check in by lily was fast and friendly and as we took our dog she explained the extra charges etc. All staff are extremely welcoming and have a few good chats with them. Location is great, beautiful view and my 5am walks with my dog were really picturesque. Was a nice atmosphere overall and very dog friendly place. Room was very clean what we needed for our stay, we even got a dog bed on arrival. Reason for 4 not 5 stars is we were in room 205 and the cleaners cupboard is next door. So it was a big loud when they were setting up for their day about 8am. Luckily we are early risers but if you want a lay in it’s not the room for you. Overall thank you for a lovely stay

In the summer of 2025, our family of five (2 adults and 3 children) spent two nights at this hotel, including dinner and breakfast. We stayed in the family room, which was very clean. Comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. Coffee, tea, and biscuits were provided in the room, as well as plenty of towels. We received a friendly welcome at the hotel, and they clearly explained where we could park our car and what time dinner/breakfast was available. Our experience in the restaurant was somewhat less positive. We had booked dinner, but the selection was limited, and dessert was extra for adults. The staff were also conferring with each other and welcoming guests while our table was in the middle of them. In other words, they were shouting over our table. The table was also cleared while I was still eating. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel with a stunning view, but the restaurant staff could be a bit more hospitable.

It’s a former best western. Fine for a night before the ferry except they double charged us for our rooms - once to the card they had in person at check in and once after check out to the card that had been used to make the reservation. We also were treated poorly when we called to dispute it. Never staying here again as the staff seem to be scammers.

All change as newly refurbished reception and bar area. Very nice. Outside seating much improved. Good lunch menu, great service and fabulous views of Dover beach and beyond. Unsure if hotel rooms have also been upgraded
Pandora M — Google review
1. Check-In Process: The process was slow and impersonal. I was required to fill out a digital form without being given essential information, such as available upgrades or how to resolve door access issues — both of which became significant problems later on. 2. Unacknowledged Upgrade Request & Room Issues: Despite requesting an upgrade and getting an email confirmation of that, no one acknowledged or acted on my request. The room we were given was small, overpriced, and had a very dirty window — not what I would expect from any upgraded option anyway. 3. Room Access Problems: On June 20, we were locked out of our room for 45 minutes. We visited reception four times, and all we received was repeated key card resets that didn’t work. No staff came to assist us in person, which was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. At the end, maintenance man was sent just to lift a handle- which could be easily done by us if we were informed beforehand. 4. Fire Alarm Disturbances: The fire alarm went off four times one night during our stay— twice during the night, and twice early in the morning. We received no explanation, no reassurance, and no apology. This is simply unacceptable from both a comfort and safety standpoint. 5. Breakfast Experience: At 9:00 AM, we found dirty tables, no staff to greet us, and a very limited food selection — not at all reflective of the breakfast price. 6. Lounge and Bar: We sat outside for 30 minutes without being served, even as two staff walked past our table. Despite plenty of staff being present, no one acknowledged us, and the lounge atmosphere was entirely uninviting. 7. Dinner Experience: At 6:30 PM, we returned to the restaurant hoping for a better experience. Instead, we found tables not set, equipment on the floor, and one staff member who remained behind the bar, repeatedly asking, “Do you want to book?” without making any effort to engage us. We had to raise our voices just to be heard — again, not welcoming or professional. 8. Check-Out Surprise Charge: At check-out, we were informed we had to pay extra for an “upgrade” — something we were never told about at check-in, and that did not reflect any better standard in terms of size or condition (especially with such a dirty window). Had I known this was the so-called upgrade, I would have declined it immediately. 9. Missed Opportunity for Hospitality: I had informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. Sadly, this was completely ignored — no gesture, no greeting, not even an acknowledgment. It was a disappointing missed opportunity to show care and hospitality. I’ve sent two emails to the hotel about all of those problems, unfortunately no response till now.

Start with the good. Our view was amazing from our room. The room was clean and comfortable. Now the bad stuff: elevators are the size of small closets and slow as ever. When we checked in around 15:00 we tried to book a taxi through the hotel as we were told we could do. We were told at check in we could not book a taxi until later. So we walked into town for an early dinner which was lovely. We arrived back at the hotel about 18:00. Went straight to the counter to book the taxi and was told they could not book taxi service and we HAD to book on our own. So we did. This morning we went to take our showers and the shower pan immediately began to fill and flooded the bathroom. This appears to be a regular occurrence for this room as the bottom of the door looked water damaged along with the carpet. So it appears to be an unresolved issue. Now, with regards to the taxi situation. We were told twice we could not book through the hotel and we HAD to book on our own even so far as to be presented with a sign to take a picture of so we could call to book. So we did, assuming their policy changed and everyone would book this way. Now this morning we find out that was not true. We could have booked the taxi through the hotel even as late as this morning and those who booked through the hotel have priority. I have NEVER been so angry with the way a hotel is managed ever. So insist on booking taxis with the hotel if you choose to stay.

We checked in to the Best Western Premier as the final stop of our two-week trip from Canada, and we were looking forward to a comfortable, celebratory stay for my birthday. At check-in, Garry was very knowledgeable and provided information about local restaurants and sites. However, he did express what seemed to be a common local sentiment — the “What are you doing in Dover?” attitude — and repeatedly encouraged us to spend our time in places like Folkestone or Canterbury. It felt a bit discouraging considering we had chosen Dover for a reason and were excited to be there. We had booked our room through Hotels.com and paid extra for what was advertised as a spacious room with a large balcony, ocean view, and king-size bed. Unfortunately, the room we were initially given (Room 114) was nothing like the photos — it was much smaller, with a small balcony and bed. We immediately went back to the front desk, and to their credit, they were quick to resolve the issue and moved us to a room that was more aligned with our expectations. However, the next day we happened to walk past a room being cleaned that looked exactly like the one we had originally booked online — big, spacious, with the large balcony — which left us wondering why we weren’t placed there in the first place. There were a few maintenance issues as well. The bathroom in our room had a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the drain. The provided body lotion bottle was empty, and although I asked at the front desk if it could be refilled (and was assured it would be), no one followed through. That said, we had a fantastic day exploring Dover. Highlights included Dover Castle, St. Margaret’s Bay, the Smugglers Inn, and Blake’s. The area has so much to offer — and despite some hiccups, we enjoyed our time here.

3 of us stayed in a family room over the weekend just for 1 night. The room dated but perfectly clean and comfortable. We even had the added bonus of having the bathroom on a split level. Location is perfect because you literally walk out, cross the road and there's the pebble beach. The staff were friendly and professional, there's a nice bar on the ground floor and a restaurant. We had breakfast in the restaurant, which had quite a lot of variety including hot food, pastries, cakes, fruit, cheese and meats. The really nice touch here was they had a little fridge where you could help yourself from jugs of smoothies and different types of milk. Very considerate! Overall, I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and I would definitely book again when visiting Dover.

Booked a two night stay for my husbands birthday with a couple of spa treatments. A couple of things to get right : the restaurant is not a brasserie ,not at all. It's a Indian restaurant, should be advertised as such. The bar is motor themed and looks great. It doesn't over look Brands Hatch circuit as advertised. It's an interior bar, no windows. I found that very disappointing. There's a lovely little courtyard which is a great place to enjoy drinks. The staff was lovely. The treatments were super relaxing. The pool area was well kept as were the changing rooms. Room was comfortable and airy. Showers were good. Just dissatisfied with the food overall and the fact that the bar doesn't overlook the circuit as per their website. Great location, right next to the circuit.

Stayed for a business trip. The hotel felt a bit dated inside but was comfortable. Food in the restaurant was very good. Staff were good apart from a couple of bar staff who really didn't want to be there and everyone knew it. Great location for the race track.

Where to start I booked this hotel for a spa break for my partners birthday. No complaints about staff on front desk all very attentive and welcoming. However upon entry to the room, the wallpaper was completely peeling off, stains on the ceiling, stains on the carpet and had no signal on the TV for the whole duration. Spa facilities were extremely clean and enjoyed a massage each. Had dinner at the restaurant and all I can say is wow. Walked into the restaurant and wasn’t shown to a seat, instead handed menus at the front desk and just told to go sit down on a middle table. We then ordered starters which took 40 minutes to come out!! Which may I add was a simple plate of nachos!! Was told there was a bigger table of 10 which can cause the kitchen to focus on these guests more!???? The only saving grace in that restaurant was the young waitress (Shannon)!! She was visibly trying her best to help us as much as she could and honestly is the only reason I wouldn’t give the restaurant a worse review!! She was a star!!

I wouldn’t recommend booking this spa, definitely not good value for money what so ever! Did not feel relaxed at all. During the access to the pool, hot tub and sauna kids were in and out of pool area and in the pool! Booked for an afternoon tea and didn’t receive one, was made to order off spa lounge menu which food was nice however not what we paid for as expected scones and sandwiches. Following this disappointing lunch was our treatment which again was booked as a full body and facial, which only turned out to be back and facial. The girl who competed the treatment was very uninterested in being there, the products used were awful, very oily and cheap. During my back massage there was clearly some “knots” in both my shoulder blades which she then couldn’t get rid of so she decided to use most of her body weight and dug in her elbow which was more painful than relaxing and this went on for most of the back massage! It then got worse, came to the facial and she made me take my hair out as she mentioned about a scalp massage too, which I thought would include oils…. No, she used her dry hands in my hair which she just made it so matted and knotted I couldn’t get anything through my hair afterwards, her fingers where getting caught it was awful! To then top it all off when completing the facial I could feel her only using one hand, which I then opened my eyes and saw she was on her PHONE!!!!! Wouldn’t recommend, waste of money, treatments were horrendous I couldn’t wait to get out the room. It’s a shame cause the receptionist was lovely in the spa area and the pool its self and hot tub was lovely. Will not be returning

Worse night's sleep ever! Stayed here for 1 night for a car event at Brands Hatch. It's a shame I have to write this review as we found the food and staff amazing, but it's the facilities that let it down. Whatever you do, do not book a superior room . They are still in the middle of refitting them, and they are not a nice place to be. The issues we faced during the stay: 1: The TV does not have many channels, and the channels that work are very patchy 2: The A/C stopped working. This meant it was intermittently beeping through the night. Also the LED's flash, which are right above the bed 3: The A/C Display is so bright, it makes you struggle to sleep, as there is no way to turn it off. Also the emergency light is very bright 4: The room is unfinished. No tables to put your clothes on, no mirror to get ready in. The walls are all bare. Even the Main hotel toilets have no holders, so the only place to store paper is on the floor 5: The Keypad entry is so annoying 6: Walls are paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING, especially when someone is struggling with the keypad entry To top it off, I had a call before 9am from the staff trying to find out who had placed a room service order. They couldn't understand why I was upset to receive a call at that time which didn't have anything to do with me. We spoke to the receptionist, who said someone would be contacting us after they'd had their "weekly refund meeting", but alas, still waiting. If you have to have a weekly refund meeting, that tells you all you need to know about this place....

I stayed at this hotel for an event, I had prebooked an upgrade but once I checked in ( only having 2 receptionist isn’t ideal when an event is taking place within the hotel), this was not shown on my booking and I had to request it again. My room was meant to be a superior double but the only thing "superior" was the king-size bed. The room didn't have a main light, just side lights and the room size felt like a normal double room size. The paint was peeling off the ceiling near the door, part of the shower base in the bathroom was broken. As others have mentioned, the light on the display screen for the A/C lights up the whole room. Then at the event that night, despite informing them in advance and having a note on the table showing an allergy, I was still given food containing the item I am allergic too. Prices at the bar are overpriced too, £2.50 for a small bag of crisps.

Beds very comfortable bed and staff at restaurant very friendly including the manager.Molly thank you for a great massage. Food was great. Only downside is the parking charges, room too hot, no AC and key card for the door that is difficult to use. Disappointed that 2 staff members took our food and drink which was unopened that we had forgotten in the room and were not going to leave it at reception since we were still at the property. Did not apologise and stated it was company policy, this policy is unfair and needs to be to change. A bit noisy this morning sounded like there were racing cars outside the window.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Tudor Park Country Club is an upscale hotel located in Maidstone, surrounded by picturesque countryside. The hotel features a private 18-hole PGA golf course, a swimming pool, and a well-equipped gym. Guests can also indulge in beauty treatments and massages at the on-site spa. The rooms are immaculate and well-furnished, with modern amenities. The restaurant offers excellent dining options, while the friendly staff ensures a pleasant stay.
The staff are very friendly. Maria at reception is an absolute gem. Professional, warm, and welcoming. I gave the rooms 4 stars only because there were no robes or slippers provided initially. We had to ask for them, and when they arrived, the robes were quite small in size. We had both dinner and breakfast on the premises, and the food and service were a solid 10/10. The leisure centre was a bit disappointing, except for the pool, which was great. The gym looked good too, but I didn’t get to try a spa treatment as they were fully booked. Hopefully next time I’ll get to experience one!

Firstly I’d like to mention how helpful the staff were, sorted out taxis, the mishap with the name on our booking and anything else we needed during our stay. We were only there for one night and arrived to the hotel at midnight so we didn’t raise these issues, however for a longer stay I would recommend checking the room first as we found the curtains didn’t fully reach the floor so the room was very light in the morning and the wall to the hallway was paper thin so we heard everyone talking/moving around in the early morning while trying to rest.

Lovely spa hotel, pool area is large and well designed. Golf course is a good test, and the hotel itself is spacious, clean and the staff are professional and friendly. Can’t complain too much, only thing I found was there are no plug sockets near the bed, so you need to put your chargers on the desk. Other than that, top notch place for a short getaway, short drive to loads of sights and there’s a bus stop in the main road if you don’t fancy driving.

A most restorative stay. The spa facilities - sauna, swimming pool, and gym - were a positive joy, all gleamingly maintained and conducive to a healthy glow. The general hush of the countryside location made it quite the tonic for the spirit. Our superior room proved exceedingly comfortable, the bed in particular being one of those rare specimens that lulls you into the kind of sleep you imagine only aristocrats in country houses once enjoyed. Housekeeping, too, performed their duties with the precision of a Swiss horologist. The restaurant, alas, offered scant provision for us vegans. That said, the staff's willingness to improvise bespoke dishes deserves the highest praise. Breakfast, it must be admitted, was rather meagre - but again, staff gallantry compensated. One young woman, in a display of kindness both touching and rare, donated my partner her own hairband. Such gestures, born of simple decency, speak more loudly than any corporate slogan ever could. We did not trouble the golf course, though its reputation among other guests suggests it is a fine one. In sum, a hotel of comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality - the sort of place one recommends with pleasure, while quietly hoping it remains just undiscovered enough to preserve its serenity.

Had a relaxing weekend stay at Tudor Park. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside and the golf course views were a great bonus. Room was clean, spacious, and had a comfy bed. The spa was peaceful, and the staff were friendly throughout. Breakfast had plenty of options and good quality. Would recommend for a quiet getaway or golf trip.

The coffee at breakfast was utterly undrinkable - disgusting! Our party of 8 all abandoned theirs after a sip. It's from a machine which has a bag of coffee gloop inside - we saw them change it. Come on Marriott - this isn't the 1970s anymore. There is so much good coffee available now. Comfy beds, friendly staff, nice place - will bring my own coffee if I come back.

A big thank you to all the staff at Tudor Park for making our wedding day so memorable. Each and every staff member was polite, friendly and helpful throughout our 2 night stay for our wedding and it made it such a lovely experience for us and all our guests. We would highly recommend getting married at Tudor Park, we have made such amazing memories to last a lifetime. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to return to the hotel for dinner sometime soon as an excuse to relive the memories!

We booked a short break for 3 nights and we were very happy with the Hotel. The welcome from the staff was excellent and everything about our stay was explained including options to save us extra costs which was lovely. We have 2 teenage boys 15 & 11 who were excited to try out the pool and gym, they weren’t disappointed and neither were my wife and me an amazing pool that’s lovely and warm with sun loungers and seating all around. There is also a lovely sauna and steam room which was my absolute favourite, then we have to talk about the gym which was exceptional the quality of the equipment was top class all Matrix brand for a complete full workout not many hotels have this and then there is a cardio studio which is also well equipped and that 24hours very impressive. The rooms are well appointed with great quality beds and linen again top quality the bathrooms are nice and showers are great with good pressure and constant temperture. Breakfast was well worth adding to your stay the variety and quality was fantastic so much choice my only issue was the hot drink station did not do hot chocolate but not all hotels do. There is so much to say about this hotel I could go on forever but I’ll leave it here “worth every penny” Many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable we will definitely be back

The Canterbury Hotel, dating back to the 1790s, offers a range of accommodations including double and family rooms as well as a suite. The hotel features amenities such as a bar, indoor pool, free WiFi, and parking. Its convenient location allows for easy access to the city center. Guests have praised the cleanliness and traditional decor of the hotel. The welcoming staff, particularly Bogdan at reception, received high praise for their helpfulness and knowledge about the area.
This was an excellent hotel, great location, very close to Canterbury East station. Staff very happy, professional and so very helpful. Good comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast, lovely bar/sitting room, superb courtyard and great pool. Thank you all, my cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back. Thank you all very much.

Large family group. Stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were comfortable as were the beds. Bathroom was clean and looked good. Only drawback was the stains on the chair upholstery in the bedroom and the glass table protector needs to be removed to be cleaned underneath. Did it affect me? no. Did it bother me? Yes, because of the crumbs underneath. Would I stay again? Absolutely. Lovely bed and bathroom and very good breakfast!

Close to the city centre, this hotel has an indoor pool, enclosed gardens, and a dining room. The car park is of matchbox size and needs skill to drive in and out. Overspill is at the rear in a trading estate but we did not use it for security reasons. Not accessible for those with mobility issues. Nice hotel in all for overnight stays, with excellent breakfast.

We had an incident which left us at the hotel for longer than we had intended, nothing to do with the hotel I may add. The staff were excellent and done everything they could to try and help out with getting us the extra nights and being patient with us while we sorted out our issues, particularly Radu, who was a star ⭐️ The place has a spa and pool, we didn’t use them, but we did spend a fair bit of time in the small garden they have, as well as the small lounge where the bar is in the evening.

I stayed here with my two children. The staff are so polite and professional, they went out of their way to accommodate us. My 9 year old son said the beds were very comfortable and he had a great night's sleep. The shower is lovely. Breakfast was grand. Everything you need. Thanks!

Good breakfast and location. Sam the receptionist was great. Had to change rooms as the bed in the first room number 9 was only suitable for the tip. The base was dirty and falling apart. Asked the receptionist if they would sleep on it. The next room number 10 needed renovating although bed was new. All other furniture old and tatty. Windows didn't shut properly. So could hear seagulls early morning and traffic . The bathroom fan didn't work. The toilet seat was almost falling off. Bathroom radiator so old and rusty. No hot water the first morning but was rectified when we complained. Surely the cleaners should report the fan and broken toilet seat to management 🤷 Landing light by our room door didn't work.

Lovely great value small hotel with excellent location to go into central Canterbury, on arriving we were greeted by a very nice attentive man with a beard who was so helpful with a great welcome. We have a double deluxe room which is nicely decorated , clean and a great comfy large bed, good size bathroom with a bath and over shower but no blind on bathroom window ?. The hotel has an indoor heated pool which could do with being warmer as was chilly , I did point this out after swimming with another male member of staff but was told it was 29 degrees which it was definitely not. Car parking is a bit tight so don’t bring a big car but great to have parking available. Breakfast is tasty but a bit too busy and hard to keep up with demand but the staff are great . If visiting Canterbury please look up this hotel it’s a little Gem

Canterbury Cathedral, a Norman-built Church of England place of worship located in Canterbury, UK, is one of the oldest religious sites in England with a history dating back over 1400 years. It gained notoriety as the location where Archbishop Thomas Becket was tragically killed in 1170. Despite enduring fires and restoration efforts, the cathedral's Gothic towers and exquisite stained-glass windows continue to captivate visitors.
Canterbury Cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. From the stunning stained glass windows to the grand architecture, every corner tells a story. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through its ancient halls feels like stepping back in time. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply experiencing something truly awe-inspiring. The audio guide was helpful too. Don’t miss the cloisters!

Went on a Thursday, a week day. Large cathedral, bigger than expected. It did have some construction ongoing outside so that did affect the pictures of the building. Staff and volunteers inside were friendly and happy to tell you a lot about the history, for free. Ticket office staff also helpful explaining the differences in tickets. Very quick and easy. Cathedral probably needs two visits and definitely a tour guide to fully appreciate. There is a cafe and restaurant, and even a hotel. Toilet facilities were adequate. Good places to sit and read if you need a break also. Definitely will return.
Kenechi N — Google review
Very impressed. More than expected. Magnificent architecture. Huge, light, airy and less dark and oppressive when compared with Westminster Abbey. Beautiful ceilings and stained glass and extensive history. Less ‘tombs’ and fortunately less busy midweek. During our visit a Chaplain addressed all visitors briefly from the pulpit, and offered a prayer, using the cathedral for it’s intended purpose as a place of worship - not a tourist attraction - as it should be. The entry fee to the Cathedral is very reasonable considering the cost of maintaining the building and overseeing visitors. We paid an additional small sum for a guided tour which was exceptional. Lucky to get a ticket. The volunteer gave us a lot of insight into the development of Christianity in the UK, the various phases of the Church during different occupations and global conflicts, the murder of Thomas Beckett in 1170 AD, the destruction of his shrine by King Henry VIII in 1538, all wrapped up with visiting the different areas of the building and outlining the many extensions and renovations over 1000 years! Wonderful learning experience.
Stephen — Google review
A beautiful and peaceful place to spend the day. You can wander around the whole site taking in all of the history and story of the cathedral. There is plenty to see inside both in the crypt and the main floor. You can walk through the entire cathedral. There are places set aside for prayer and quiet contemplation. The outside areas are quiet and interesting to look at. Since the building has been cleaned on the outside you get a good feel for the surroundings and what it would have looked like when it was built. Hearing the bells on the hour was magical and seeing the places where St Thomas was murdered and the site of his tomb before it was destroyed in the reformation makes you stop and think. A fantastic day and a day of learning is never wasted. One day I will return to learn some more. Thank you.
Gary J — Google review
Beautiful Cathedral inside and outside. Very well maintained. You might need two days to walk around inside and outside, lovely gardens with lots of historical information. We thought it was free to enter, but it wasn't. We brought tickets either £19 or £21.00 each (don't remember exactly) they are valid for 12 months from the day of purchase. Just as well really, we thought they opened early on Sunday mornings, but they don't they have Sunday service and they open at 12.30. We had planned to go somewhere else and couldn't wait that long. We managed to walk around inside on Saturday morning early when it was quiet. The cathedral echos when people are talking, it looses it's essence of peace and solidtude. Definitely check the opening and closing times when planning a visit, it isn't visible from the outside of the cathedral which currently has scaffolding surrounding it for maintenance work. I will definitely go back to walk around the remainder of the cathedral before our tickets expire.

Great visit to Canterbury. Will have to visit a second time, lots to see. Had a boat trip. Would recommend, short but full of historical facts. Cathedral was good, only saw part as it was Graduation day. They still charged the full price though.

The Cathedral is truly a jewel of medieval architecture. The town, where Charles Dickens once lived for a while, has its own magic. You can feel the atmosphere of English life, away from the hustle and bustle of London (in a certain sense, it conveyed this to me). In the winter, it comes alive with university student life, and I think the pace of daily life changes, but despite everything, it remains beautiful to visit, perhaps even better.

Historical landmark
Hever Castle & Gardens is a historic castle dating back to 1270, featuring Tudor artworks and opulent furnishings. The castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and later owned by William Waldorf Astor. Located in Kent, England, the area is rich with other notable attractions such as Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place, Canterbury Cathedral, and Sissinghurst Castle & Garden.
Hever Castle is a great place to visit. The grounds are great: there's ducks to be feed, a stream running through, plenty of grass to stretch out on on a sunny day. The gardens are lovely, with plenty of variety and interesting corners. The house is fantastic. If you want, you can grab an audio tour free of charge or just wander through at your own leisure. There is plenty to see and appreciate. However, if you are someone who has limited mobility, be aware that access to some of the upper areas are only via tight and winding staircases. There are no lifts, so wheelchair users will be limited to the ground floor. The gardens, however, have plenty of wheelchair access points. Parking is included in the ticket price. The food in the cafe is reasonably priced. The icecreams are excellent and also reasonably priced. Buy your tickets in advance. The gardens open at 10am and the house at 12pm. Plan to head for the house for 12pm and avoid queues. It really is a great day out.
Simon S — Google review
Truly exceptional. A perfect blend of captivating history, magnificent gardens, and engaging activities for all ages. You can easily spend a full, delightful day here. Hever Castle is not just a building; it’s an immersive experience that lives up to its 'fairy-tale' reputation. As a visitor, what truly stands out is how well the estate caters to diverse interests, from the most dedicated Tudor enthusiast to a family looking for a fun day out. The 125 acres of gardens are stunning and a massive part of the attraction. They are meticulously maintained and offer something different in every season. Picnic is a good idea: While there are on-site cafes and restaurants, they can be a bit pricey. The grounds offer numerous scenic spots for a picnic. Wear comfortable shoes: The gardens and lake walk cover a significant amount of ground. Time it right: If you are a history fanatic, plan for half a day in the castle/formal gardens. If you have children, plan for the whole day to enjoy the mazes and playgrounds.

Such a beautiful place to visit and plenty of history... looking around the castle it self is very interesting, I would recommend taking the audio guide when offered to you as has plenty of information, as if it busy its hard to get to the information signs which are dotted about. The gardens are well looked after and beautiful to wander around on a sunny day. They have cafes and shops to look around to. The grounds are fine for wheel chairs and a buggy but the castle isn't suitable

Hever Castle & Gardens is an AMAZING place to visit! Ansolutely stunning Italian park, lake, yew maze, fountains and superb floral displays surrounding a very old castle superbly maintained and loved. William Waldorf Astor, the world's richest man at the time, funneled so much of his resources and devotion to transform and maintain this historical site. Highly recommend as a visit for anyone who appreciates art, history, and nature! Thank you :)

Fantastic day out, lots of history to absorb and things to do. We took our 3 boys and they thoroughly enjoyed the castle playground, maze and water maze. Word of caution though, bring towels and a change of clothes for the kids as they are highly likely to get soaked in the water maze (leave this to the end of your visit).
Nick M — Google review
Really enjoyed our visit here. Beautiful very well kept gardens and lake walk. There is a wall of different coloured dahlia flowers which is gorgeous. Lots of places for kids to run and play. The castle is a great historical asset, well worth a look around.

We are so incredibly grateful to the amazing team at Hever Castle for making our wedding day such a magical and unforgettable experience. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. So many of our guests told us afterwards that the castle was one of the most unforgettable parts of the day. It created such a romantic and intimate atmosphere, and we truly believe it’s the perfect place for couples who are looking for a special and meaningful wedding. You don’t even need too much decoration – the setting speaks for itself. On the wedding day, the Hever Castle team was wonderful. There were so many staff on hand to support us and make sure things ran smoothly. Our guests were well taken care of, and we felt completely supported throughout. It really helped take the pressure off and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. Hever Castle will always hold a special place in our hearts. We’re already looking forward to returning in the future to relive the memories of what truly was one of the most meaningful and beautiful days of our lives. Highly recommend this incredible venue to any couple looking for something truly magical.

We have just celebrated my cousins birthday here today. We had the choice of an inside or terrace table. We choose inside as it was so hot outside!! We were seated at a beautiful window table. It was stunning. Lea looked after us and she was exceptional. Everything is done with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. She remembered it was my cousins birthday and made her feel special. Thank you Lea. The food was excellent too and it looked as beautiful as it tasted. Thank you for making it a wonderful afternoon. Lea we will be watching your recommendations 😍

We stayed at the Roslin Beach Hotel for our friends’ wedding and couldn’t have been more impressed. The rooms were beautifully presented, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly – a real bonus during the warm weather. The food was exceptional, with every dish full of flavour and beautifully served. The venue itself was stunning, and the staff’s service was faultless, making the wedding celebrations run so smoothly. From start to finish, everything felt special. Highly recommend for both events and getaways.

We went there for a birthday dinner celebration and had a lovely time. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. While the hotel isn’t brand new — there was a slight smell in the restaurant — the service truly stood out and made up for it. We had a full meal for two at around £140, and it was more than enough. A nice bonus: you can walk straight out to the beach through the back door of the restaurant — perfect for a stroll after such a satisfying meal.

Just want to start off by saying that today’s afternoon tea consisted of two full sandwiches cut up into measly slices, four scones with a knife-full of jam, and eight bite-sized pastries that were mediocre at best. While the presentation was lovely, I must say the experience was absolutely not worth the £100 spent. We may have splurged on two Cokes and two lemonades each, but still—daylight robbery, I say. Conveniently, they put the “per person” in small writing, just to give you a glimmer of hope that you’re getting more than a bit of bread and a slice of ham for £38. Altogether, it’s the perfect recipe for disaster if you want to walk away feeling as though your regretful bites have just about touched the sides. The only redeeming factor was the brilliant staff—though, for the kind of money people take out a mortgage to spend here, I’d expect nothing less. Do with this information what you will, but I shan’t be returning unless I win the lottery.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. First impressions were great, the reception staff are fantastic. We were warmly welcomed, with everything explained politely and concisely. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is fantastic. Enough selection on the menu without being too much or not enough. The portion sizes are just right, the presentation was terrific, and again, the staff couldn't do enough. The bar didn't disappoint either. Fantastic service, great Old Fashioned 'cocktail' served through the evening and night. Wonderful Mojitos, martinis, and G&Ts for my wife, too. Breakfast was perfect, again, just enough dishes to choose. We both had the full English, and it didn't disappoint. It's definitely worth a stay here, and we will treat ourselves again. Thank you for looking after us so well on our anniversary. Best wishes from very satisfied and relaxed, Andy and Clare.

The rooms are gorgeous, the view was amazing (we had a room with a balcony), food at dinner and breakfast was absolutely delicious (the seafood linguine especially) and the staff were brilliant. Special thanks to Karen who works on reception; helpful and lovely. We were so lucky with the weather too and I will definitely be back!

Nice food, pleasant setting out on the terrace. Service left a lot to be desired, not very attentive staff, had to wave to staff when we weren’t given cutlery when served mains, had to ask for desert menu. Been once, wouldn’t go back. Had nicer meals with better level of service in chain restaurants.

Had a fantastic three night stay at the hotel and used the gym facilities whilst I was there. On the Friday morning I needed some help whilst accessing the gym and a lovely member of staff by the name of Robyn went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed. Couldn’t praise her more. The gym are very lucky to have such a good member on their team

I recently stayed at the Village Hotel Maidstone and wanted to share my thoughts. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel has a modern feel, and I appreciated how clean and spacious my room was. The bed was really comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. One of the highlights was the breakfast. There was a nice selection of hot and cold items, and the availability of fresh coffee was a plus. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Olivia she was super helpful and cheerful throughout my stay. The location is also convenient, with some shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, I would recommend Village Hotel Maidstone if you're looking for a comfortable stay with good amenities. I would definitely consider staying there again on my next visit to maidstone.

Me and my buddies stopped by this hotel as we saw they had a sauna and steam room and a highly rated restaurant and as we all know after driving for over 7 hours a good relaxation session is well needed and that’s exactly what this was! We were only passing through but boy was it worth it, Danny from the leisure sales was incredible we had such an enjoyable conversation he told us everything we needed to know and now we are seriously considering joining the village near us in Hull The girl at reception was very tentative whilst we were waiting for Danny her name was Amy Honourable mentions go to Sian Jess and Olivia who were working their backsides off scrubbing the changing rooms Thank you guys this experience was that much better thanks to you!

Can’t comment on the rooms as I only used the gym, bar and grill. I and my family joined The Village gym in Maidstone a few weeks ago and as a result, we have had some great offers for the bar and grill. My family are meat eaters but I am a vegan and whilst, on paper, the menu isn’t great for me, the manager, Phoebe, has been more than happy to accommodate and liaise with the chef to create vegan variations which I have been really happy with. The portions served are also huge so I’m going to have to make sure I use my gym membership to its fullest as it would be all to easy to nip in after a gym and swim. My husband and children have loved the meaty meals and have no complaints at all. I did spot a burger which looked truly dirty and was devoured very quickly. 😆 All the staff are friendly and the bar has a relaxed atmosphere which seems to be full of regulars as well as those staying. Oh. The gym staff have also been fantastic and none of my many stupid questions have been met with anything other than patience! The gym has offered everything I need including a variety of classes and the pool is amazing.

This is a well situated, and well managed, modern hotel, located right on the M20, with excellent links to Northern Europe, and London. The rooms are light, and airy, comfortable, and very well appointed. The fitness facilities, and swimming pool, are excellent, and the staff were all very friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. Our stay at the hotel left us well rested, and contented, which is a great start to any day. Well done Village Hotel Maidstone.

Had a lovely break with friends and family, we used a few of the facilities including the leisure area and there was a really helpful young man on the desk. I was really impressed with the way he spoke with my autistic son, he was so helpful! I believe his name was Joe! Absolutely lovely young lad! I look forward to bringing my family again. Thank you.

Just had a fantastic stay at the Village Hotel Maidstone! The rooms were modern and clean, and the amenities were top-notch. What really made the experience special was the staff. A particular shoutout to Danny, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His friendly and helpful attitude truly enhanced our stay. Highly recommend this hotel!

Perfect hotel if you want a stay near Maidstone. Public transport gets you to London and other cities easily from the hotel. Check-in was quite easy, pub has good food and leisure facilities look good. Joseph Parkhouse from leisure was really helpful and explained how everything worked and was there for all the questions. Would stay again!

Nestled in the picturesque Kent countryside near Lenham, Who'd A Thought It is a splendid boutique hotel that seamlessly blends luxury with charm. This beautifully restored 16th-century pub offers opulent rooms and suites, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking a memorable getaway. Guests can indulge in exquisite dining experiences featuring classical English dishes crafted from fresh, local ingredients. The restaurant prides itself on its ever-evolving menu that showcases creativity and flair while maintaining traditional roots.
Nipped in on a Tuesday evening for a bite to eat. Had their burger, and it was very nice indeed. With that and the very attentive barmaid, it's worth the 5 star rating. The place inside was obviously trying to go for the upmarket look, and the menu prices reflected that. Some people probably are happy to pay the kinds of prices they had in there, but I honestly wouldn't pay almost £70 per lobster....but that's me. I'd still say that if you wanted to nip in on your way past, you wouldn't be disappointed...but your bank account would be lighter by the end.

Had an amazing day at The Who’d a Thought It yesterday. We were a table of eight and we all had a fantastic 3 course lunch. The mixed meat roast was excellent. We have previously struggled to find a really good Sunday roast but The Who’d a Thought It delivered. Exceptional quality and quantity; and full of flavour. 10/10 for sure. The venue is great and the band was fantastic. Can’t wait for next Whod’y Day!

We had such an amazing stay in the lodge. Room was immaculate, included a fridge, coffee and tea, lovely robes. The bed was very comfortable, a huge jacuzzi bath and a smart TV, The hot tub was amazing so warm and relaxing and there room had appliances such as an iron, fan, hair dryer and straighteners and heating/air con. The staff were lovely very welcoming and friendly and couldn’t help you enough! The atmosphere was really chilled and relaxing and the food was 10/10 so would definitely recommend the dining, reasonable prices for how amazing this hotel is, even have a lovely lady to decorate our room with balloons as we went for my boyfriends birthday. Very happy and will definitely look into coming back again
Chelsey-may B — Google review
I recently visited with my wife and found that items listed on the menu did not come when ordered. The hot tub had not had its water changed for over 23 days. There were areas around the bathroom door frame that were rotten. The owner wasn't very friendly and ignored me every time I said hello or good morning. The other staff members were great. If you want somewhere that makes you feel special then it's not here. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic stay
Tony W — Google review
To put it into context. We didn't go to centre parcs for x4 nights with the kids, so we could stay here on our own, for one night at the same cost. We stayed in the piano lodge. It was dusty and had cobwebs everywhere. The bath had old hair and bubbles in it, there was no champagne, the sky tv signal doesn't work because of how remote the location is. But the worst part was the hot tub. My gosh it was so yellow. It looked like the bath if the kids have had a wee in there and had bits all over it. When we removed the cover to the hot tub it burned our eyes with chemicals. There is no way on God's earth that has been cleaned in a long time. The lady that checked us in, and served us on Saturday is the epitome of customer service. So good at what she does and made us feel so welcomed. A whole different atmosphere Sunday morning. They seemed annoyed we had gone for breakfast? The lady who seemed authoritative was rude, stood there slagging off staff for having a tooth abscess and didn't even make eye contact let alone answer my how are you today? We felt insignificant and like we weren't meant to be there. They have books out celebrating 50 years of them, the room we were in had the exact same bed spread on as in the pics and the book is nearly 3 years old. This being said, the food was unreal, the younger ladies went above and beyond and made everyone feel equally welcomed. They made the best drinks and very quickly too. Probably the best meal I have had in a long time. So reasonably priced too. Safe to say if we did ever return, I'd make sure that lady isn't working before hand, and we would have a meal but never stay there again. Such a shame as we have wanted to go there for such a long time. It was very underwhelming. Oh and the cups in the room for tea and coffee hadn't been washed up and had old stained rings around the bottom. I just received a teeny bit of inheritance from losing my dad, and it was my birthday that day, hence why we went. Don't you hate going somewhere you have only ever dreamed of, and it's a huge massive let down.
Kellie G — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was too underwhelming to ignore. The room looked nothing like the photos online. When you book through Booking.com, you don’t get much of a clear description — but being a four-star hotel, you’d expect more than a budget Travelodge. I was wrong. We were assigned to our room only after they finally found our booking. It was called a “Taittinger mini” — but what we got was worn furniture, peeling paint, and an overall sense of neglect. The sheets didn’t feel clean, and there was an unpleasant odor that never went away. It was small to the point of feeling like a box room at your nan’s house. Definitely not four-star boutique — more like a tired two-star motel. Noise from the neighbours was constant, and the atmosphere was closer to a knocking shop. Had we known, we wouldn’t have stayed. Staff were polite but seemed indifferent to everything. They couldn’t use the computer and often had to wait for the manager to handle basic requests. The bar area felt taken over by (possibly) the owner and his mates, making it awkward to even order a drink. The one saving grace was the food — dinner was genuinely delicious. The outside space was decent too, but again, nothing luxurious or “boutique chic,” just mismatched and tired. Maybe should have been a pub rather than a hotel? It did the job for one night, but I wouldn’t come back.
Rebecca D — Google review
I am really sad to have to leave this review but hope it reaches management. This was our ‘escape’ for years. Since 2018 we visited a lot, every room multiple times, loved it here. We’ve not been for a while, maybe even a year and we have left so disappointed. The garden areas outside the pub look tired, uncared for and uninviting. This used to be such a relaxing venue, table service, clean and ultimate garden inspiration for me. On this occasion last weekend - no table service, dirty tables, unkept gardens, cushions stacked up and not put out, wasps everywhere and the outside dining pods stacked and used as storage. We could not even enjoy one cocktail without wasps climbing into our drinks and harassing us. The bar was un inviting and taken over by the owner and the locals - who were lovely and harmless but I felt awkward being there, like I was interrupting (being honest) There was no vibe, no music and just felt dead. The girls behind the bar are lovely, but I felt they’ve lost their passion and excitement for the place. The room was tired and run down - I loved the rooms previously because the attention to detail was incredible. Not any more! For the money paid for the Coliseum Room I feel ripped off! The whirlpool bath did not hold water, the toilet door was in need of repair, the starlights in the day bed not working, the shower bent, dented and broken, the main bath shower leaking, and the mattress of the bed - AWFUL!!! You can tell the heavier person sleeps next to the door, a huge dip and so uncomfortable - we slept on the day bed as there was no way of getting to sleep on that! We didn’t use the hot tub on this occasion so unable to comment on that. Garden area tired and moss growing and stains on tiles - never was this ever a problem before. Used to be immaculate! We ordered room service at the bar as their WhatsApp wasn’t working. Told to call but no phone signal at all here! Half my soup was on the waiting tray when bought up - it was amazing and I am gutted I only got half a bowl. The steak and sides were incredible, as were the cocktails. Dessert we had to go and get from the bar even though we ordered. Food service stops at 9pm. We ordered at 7pm and it was over an hour since our mains came up. I didn’t want to miss them! Again great puddings but disappointed I had to go and get. Breakfast the following morning - we weren’t told breakfast didn’t start till 9.30am. We got to the bar at 9.10 and were told then. Could have been offered drinks whilst we waited - even an orange juice, but told to come back later. Breakfast was in the bar area. Dead vibe! Awful coffee and the breakfast seemed to have gone downhill also. I used to love the breakfast here. Food is one of my highlights and I must say another disappointment on this occasion. I’m not writing this to be a horrible person. I’m writing this in hope the managers see and recognise what is happening. In the year or so we haven’t been I’ve noticed a huge difference. I did mention the the main girl at the bar and she said she’d report our issues. This venue holds a lot of memories for us - birthdays, been with friends, escape from work / life / kids. Please please rectify. This used to be such a hidden gem, not a one hit wonder never to return!

Absolutely Appalling – Avoid at All Costs Where do I begin? It took a full month to get a response to my complaint. I emailed eight times and called sixteen times, only to be fobbed off repeatedly with “Joe the manager is out, call back later.” When I finally got through, I was grudgingly offered a partial refund — not for the disgraceful experience itself, but simply because they took so long to respond. Totally unprofessional. Now, the actual stay: filthy. The hot tub was unusable — filled with grit and muck. Our first room was so dirty we asked to be moved, and the second wasn’t much better. The so-called private patio was disgusting. As for the food… just awful. An "eton mess" with three raspberries and no cream? Breakfast was stale, clearly left sitting under a heat lamp, served in tiny portions, and they even forgot the toast. This place is stuck in the past — dated décor (think 'live, laugh, love' cliché everywhere), everything stinks of stale cigarette smoke, and it desperately needs to be shut down and deep-cleaned. The standards are shockingly low, and the management's handling of complaints is nothing short of embarrassing. Summary: STAY CLEAR. Save your time, money, and sanity — this place is a disgrace.

Highly recommend this spa - i visited here for the first time today, for the Ultimate Spa Day package. Throughout, my experience was amazing - the staff were attentive and very friendly, and the facilities and grounds were superb and well kept. I had a lava shell massage, a neck and decolette massage, and a facial- all of these were really good. The food was delicious too. Thank you to the team for having me!

Absolute bliss! My 2nd visit to Reynolds Sevenoaks, Even better than first. Always a pleasure to come. A mention has to go towards the chef, catering for all my dietary restrictions, Gluten free and dairy. Not only did he present such yummy delicious food the menus for breakfast also had a great selection. Showing my gratitude for such beautiful well presented afternoon tea I asked the staff to pass on my thanks. The chef then came to show his appreciation also. Highly recommend.. spa area, treatments.. and of course the food!! Although I couldn’t finish it all I did try. Many thanks for a much needed relaxing day.. Lou

Oh. My. Gosh! Lush!!! 😍 I had an exfoliating body scrub followed my a moisturising massage. With my 2nd treatment being the back neck and shoulder massage - heaven!!! Totally bliss. The facilities are beautiful, staff are friendly. Can’t wait to go back. It was my first ever Spa experience. 😊

On arrival you are not welcomed with a warm greeting instead you have to fill in both physical and then scan and fill in digital forms, and then you have to go to the desk and fill in another form to say you will take the robe and towel back to the desk when you have finished your spa day( incase you steal it). It feels more like visiting a friend's gym then a spa day. The pools are nice as is the sauna and the 4 relaxation heated chairs are great. The spa area is constantly wet and very slippery and there are no lie down relaxation rooms. My treatment was good. I had a cream team book which is in the bar area off the reception area. I was told I could have the table by the window (It was pointed at) and I was brought tap water which was poured out and some split on the table, this was not wiped up just ignored. For the cream team you get a small pot of tea and 2 scones and jam and cream in prepackaged containers. I looked up the menu online and they do have other options but I was not shown a menu or asked if I would like any other option in fact I felt hurried. I had been before a few years ago, would I return again, probably not as I feel there are better options out there for a true spa relaxation feel.

Wonderful spa day at Reynolds Retreat in Borough Green with my college crew! Did a Pilates lesson which was fab! (My abs told me so for 2 days after 🤣) the food was AMAZING! Lovely breakfast & afternoon tea included in the package along with neck, shoulder & back massage & a mini head massage. The pool, steam room, sauna, foot spa and crazy tropical rainforest shower were lovely. Great value for money. Arrived at 9 and didn’t leave until 5!

Had an amazing spa day. The facilities were great, the pool was warm and relaxing. It was so clean at the retreat and even being cleaned whilst we walked around. The foot spa was so good, you could choose between warm or cold and make it bubble. The heated tiled beds were great after being in the pool. My husband used the sauna in which he said was lovely and even the scent in the sauna really opened your airways. There was an ice pit which you could use to splash onto your face afterwards. The spa treatments were great, the staff are super friendly and give such a great service, you can see how professional this being from the masseuse to the reception staff to the serving staff in the tea room. The cream tea was very enjoyable. Overall a 10/10 experience. We will be returning on special occasions.

We had a perfect spa day at Reynolds Retreat Sevenoaks for my partner's birthday. I think the value of their packages is outstanding, with two treatments included as well as full use of their fantastic facilities all day. Both treatments we had were amazing, the staff were all lovely and friendly and the facilities are just brilliant. The sauna and steam room are well looked after and the showers with the cold mist and tropical rain options are so good! I couldn't fault this day, even the scones for our cream team came out warm like they'd been freshly baked. It was wonderful and I'd definitely return!

This place is incredible, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place and its staff are. Lovely, spacious and well lodge with everything we needed to be comfortable. Fabulous swimming pool which we had to ourselves twice. The best breakfast in the most stunning setting. Best of all our the incredible staff. All of them are so caring and helpful to but one in particular, I believe his name is Peter, went absolutely over and above to give us an amazing break. Thank you. Can't wait to return.

Great stay at a disabled-friendly woodland lodge in the grounds of the hotel (lodge 6). It had its own parking space, a ramp up to the front door and disabled bathroom. Perfect for my elderly mum who uses a wheelie walker to get around. We had bar food one night, which was very good. The local pub, the Jackdaw Inn, was welcoming and does fantastic food

Broome Park is stunning, the rooms and beds comfortable, bathrooms perfect. Our party had three rooms all perfect. Staff helpful and courteous. The menu is dreadful, for a hotel of that class and a need to have an evening meal as there isn’t any restaurants near, especially on a winters evening. We were forced to go out for a meal. We had an egg mayonnaise sandwich of which the bread was not fresh, the egg mayonnaise was synthetic, it was overpriced at £11per sandwich.

Booked an afternoon tea for mums 85th birthday . Thinking tea at a stately Manor House would give that element of something special . Couldn’t have been further from my expectations. The main reception area was absolutely freezing . The dining room decor is not in keeping with a stately home and is tired dnd shoddy . No table cloth, dead roses and saucers for side plates to eat from . Sandwiches had the appearance of being left out and cakes were prepackaged. Not once did a member of staff check on us during the tea. Staff were unkept and uniforms were showing signs of food spillage/staining. Atmosphere was far from relaxing. No ambience at all. When I did complain , the food and beverage manager was flippant , attitude was far from apologetic. The offer of compensation was an invite back for a free tea !!! The very thing I was complaining about . It was far from worth the £60 paid . I doubt if the catering value would have even been £10. If you are expecting a special occasion venue don’t go here . Try Chilston Park Hotel instead .

What a great place to stay! It is close to quite a few transport links, especially by car. The hotel could do with a bit of refreshing but hotels often can. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and elevate this hotel. The sorted out breakfast for us quickly and efficiently when the booking hasn't gone through online, we got some free cocktails that were being trialled and the went into the back to look for a couple more whiskies for me. It's a big hotel but with the friendliness of a traditional guest house.

Enjoyed our stay and really easy to find and location was great for our visit to family in nearby area. Staff were helpful and friendly. Majority of the room/bathroom was clean, tidy etc and comfortable bed but there was a lot of dust build up along carpet edges and skirting boards and having not been hoovered properly for a long time around/behind bedside cabinets and dressing table -just not done at these areas and it showed up really easy.

Not the best Mercure and I have stayed in lots. First the bad parts: Booked a prestige room which on website claims to have safe box and provide slippers - no safe box and no slippers. The former does not exist and run out of slippers (appeared on 4th night). Conditioner in bathroom empty - despite reminding every day only refilled on 4th day. Shower gel fixed to wall so pump faced wall so hard to use - never fixed. No water provided in room on days 2 & 3. The good parts: Steve on reception who tried to resolve the problems. The excellent breakfast buffet and staff. The friendly barman.

The dining experience at the hotel was exceptional, with every meal showcasing high-quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, and incredible flavor across a wide variety of dishes. From fresh seafood to perfectly cooked steaks and creative vegetarian options, the food consistently impressed. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the outstanding service provided by Tim. He was attentive, warm, and highly knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring each meal felt personal and memorable. Tim’s professionalism and genuine hospitality made a great stay even better, and he is a true credit to the hotel.

Wonderful check in with Steve complete with friendly chat as he used to work two miles from where we live. Great service by Tim at dinner who was only too happy to please. The room (103): was this a Privelidge Room? I’ve stayed in many a Mercure pre Covid and built my way to Diamond member status - but whilst having all the equipment specified in the booking, the room was somewhat more compact and less dressed than the usual Privilege room. The lack of sign on the door suggest this was perhaps a standard room. To counter this, the hotel had left a number of treats (wine miniatures and chocolates and a happy anniversary sign on the door) to mark our special occasion. This was very much appreciated. In places the hotel looks tired, especially in the corridors and on main doorways where the white paintwork needs a damn good clean. We were staying here as a combination of a local wedding and also a belated wedding anniversary and had specifically chosen the hotel for its extensive pool and spa facilities. Or so I thought Turns out that despite there being many online photographs and references to swimming pool and spa, especially on Google Maps, the hotel closed these facilities over two years ago. However, it has clearly failed to purge the Internet of these images and references. Even its own telephone system still gives the option to press 4 for leisure facilities. The thing that I find most annoying is that even though I discussed this at the point of checking in (this being the reason we chose this hotel in the first place), nobody really seemed to want to do anything about it either by way of goodwill gesture for us or action to prevent the problem re-occurring for other guests. Overall, somewhat disappointed but a pleasant stay.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Lookout in Rye! The location is perfect — just a short walk from the cobbled streets, charming shops, and the beautiful Mermaid Street. The room was cozy, spotless, and full of character, with those little touches that make you feel truly welcome. The staff were kind and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere of Rye. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting this magical town! 🌿✨

A great hotel in a fantastic position for shops and view. The hotel is nicely decorated with a lovely outdoor patio at the front. There’s a nice dining room for Breakfast. The cooked breakfast was excellent and there was a decent selection for the continental style if that’s more your thing. Our room good for the price. It was big with welcoming decor. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was good if a little small in comparison to the room, with a ‘step in bath’ shower. There’s no elevator at the property but there are a few rooms on the ground floor if you have accessibility requirements. There’s a small parking at the back of the hotel (about £8) and normal street metre parking at the front. First come first serve.

We loved staying in Rye and the location of the Lookout was great. The staff were willing and helpful. It was great to have the car park at the back of the hotel and the Ringo app worked well. Finding the hotel and car park was a little difficult initially!! The front terrace was an ideal place to sit, enjoy a drink and relax before dinner. We enjoyed our meal at the George very much. Our room was comfortable but a little tired. It was well stocked with tea/coffee/biscuits. We intend to return next year - hopefully your kind offer will still apply! We look forward to coming back.

The Lookout Hotel in Rye A fantastic hotel located in a great area of Rye. We stayed here for two weeks in total, and every single day the service was excellent. The room was always spotless, the breakfast delicious, and the staff absolutely wonderful —especially Alex, who was incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you so much! If you’re visiting Rye, don’t hesitate to stay here —you’ll love it! And make sure to ask about the happy hour, it’s a great bonus! 😊 Thank you, The Lookout Rye!

We recently stayed in one of the King rooms at the back. The service was very good, as was the breakfast, and the location is perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the room is spacious but the bathroom is small (the door bangs against the toilet). The decor is very dated and the finish is rough around the edges. Overall a pleasant experience but well overdue a refurbishment.

Probably the most outdated and dissapointing hotel I've ever started in. £190 per room per night. I feel exploited. The room was not cleaned properly with mess in the bathroom left over from previous guests (see pictures). tiny room. Didnt feel clean at all. I think the pictures explain everything! Also the staff don't read messages properly, I was promised two rooms with showers and got one with a shower and one with a bath. This whole property is completely neglected. 6 years ago this was a good place to stay with a pool, now it is a run down place of neglect and disappointment. We were so sad to have such poor service with a single member of junior staff present. Look at the photos for the room on offer at £190... Absolutely shameful!!!

First let me say we were super excited about this hotel. That did not last long once we arrived. Parking was difficult but to be expected. There was no one at the desk when we arrived and a patron was carrying his two used glasses to the bar and said “good luck getting anyone!” As if he’d had a long wait being attended. Finally we got checked in and entered our room. At first glance it looked just as pictured. Soon we discovered the beautiful balcony was unusable as were the windows. No ac. No windows. Quite warm. When I inquired at the desk he informed me that “there had been an incident two days prior.” Ok off to dinner at their restaurant (which is not actually in the hotel), and the food was just ok. Off to bed and we were shocked at the ridiculously lumpy bed, stained pillowcase (lipstick). Needless to say not a great nights sleep. I’m sure there are other more comfortable places to stay in Rye.

I was pleased with my stay at Lookout, Rye. The breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful. Things to note: I found no heating in the bathroom No mixer tap in sink. Unclear instructions regarding parking. But she staff was very helpful at departure trying to fix parking issue. A somewhat confusing booking system, which caused me to book my 4-night, 4 rooms stay one day later than intended. Because of the above, which I discovered a week before departure, I tried for several days to contact the hotel via email, but received no response. It eventually worked, but the price ended up being £300 more, no explanation.

The Folkestone Grand Burstin Hotel offers no-frills rooms in a large setting, featuring a cabaret show in the bar, health club facilities, and dining options. The hotel's Salon de The is located in the elegant glass Palm Court, with an interesting historical background involving King Edward VII. Situated right on Folkestone Harbour, it provides great views of the harbor and boats from the bar.
Don’t know why the reviews for here are so bad, this was amazing!, our room was £74 and was more then we could have hoped for, no hot water, room was like a sauna, AND the windows didn’t open far enough to breathe. A great addition to this is the partially working elevators, giving you time to contemplate life decisions whilst awaiting to go to your floor, 10 minutes pass and a queue starts to form so you decide to take the stairs, arriving to your sauna already hot and sweat with no way to cool down. 10/10 misery, would do again

This is a Britannia hotel at this time. It's very busy as two coach loads peeps have arrived. It has a small square swimming pool, a full gym, a bar, a restaurant, and bingo. The hotel itself is nicely presented on the harbour and has a brilliant views. The hotel rooms look like they're freshly painted to a reasonable standard and the carpet looks clean. Some of the electrical fittings ie switches and attachments have cracks in them and the usual paint on them. The bed is comfortable. The TV works and overall very reasonable

Great location, good sized room, within our budget of under £100/nt, nice staff, upgraded to a harbour view with ease and were treated to a wonderful sunrise. Reading other people's negative reviews can be really off-putting but this hotel was totally fine for us for one night while we explored Folkestone at the weekend. Rooms are very old fashioned and tired but everything worked fine. Bathroom was clearly refurbished recently as it was in better condition than the room. We were able to collect keys at 1pm, leave luggage for free, and could access our room from 4pm which worked for us. We didn't try their food, with so much on offer in the harbour and in the town we saw no point. Prepare for a bit of a queue at reception at peak check in times. The fake goods bazaar in the foyer is really not a great look and cheapens the vibe, but that would be our only main criticism. Also some loud people drinking out front of hotel at times, which the hotel should do something about proactively when it happens as it might disturb people's comfort. Would stay again. Thanks for hosting us

We arrived earlier and were told by reception that check-in was strictly after 3 PM. However, when we returned at 3:50 PM, the room we were given had clearly been used, even though it had supposedly been cleaned. Shockingly, even the reception staff didn’t seem aware that the room was not ready. After a long argument, we were eventually moved to a different room. Unfortunately, the second room was no better. • The socket was not near the bed, which made it very inconvenient to charge devices. • The fan’s wire was too short, so the airflow didn’t even reach the bed. • There were no basic toiletries provided. • The room was not clean – furniture was extremely dusty and dirty. • there was no intercom Overall, it was a very uncomfortable and poorly managed stay. Definitely not worth the price. A very short and disappointing day for us

Stayed here with coach holiday. Location very good. Hotel ground floor lovely but that's where it ends. Stayed in premier room, heaven knows what a basic room is like. Only positive was it was clean apart from windows, filthy inside and out, tried cleaning ourselves to no avail. Rooms not serviced, not even changing rubbish bin or clean cups. 1 bath towel each, only 1 hand towel between 2, no bath mat to step on when getting out of bath/shower. Bathroom so old and botched together. Food disgusting. Mini fridge but didn't get cold. Considering this hotel is in a prime position upstairs was a dump. Only positive was staff friendly

We were travelling with my husband, son and our dog. We were "welcomed" by an exhausted staff who clearly couldn't be bother to be friendly. We were told there would be a deposit of £50 for our dog, which wouldn't leave the account but would be returned, provided all was OK in the room. It has been 9 days after our visit and the money hasn't been returned, still showing as "pending". The room had two towels, even if it was clear three people would stay. It had no toiletries or tea/coffee/creamer. We even had to pay an additional fee to park our car. Added to this, the vent at the bathroom sounded like a helicopter. The last straw was being woken up at midnight by a loud false fire alarm, including a flashing red light. It stopped briefly and then resumed. There was also a muffled message. We all went out just to be told it was a false alarm. Was no apology the day after. Do yourself a favour and look for an alternative accommodation. You will need to keep adding extra fees to make that room worth staying.

Literally the only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to Le Shuttle and the apple juice at breakfast. Strange smell throughout, staff couldn't be bothered, bacon could have been resuscitated by a good vet, food in general was poor, entire place is grubby and I'm sure the man that got arrested at the front of the hotel would have had a better quality mattress in jail. Glad to only have been there one night

Iconic hotel, with a great location just on Folkstone’s harbour. Decor from original 1980/90s but was ok overall. Room was fair though had the traditional poor mattresses with uneven springs etc. Staff were pleasant enough, sea view from room and the hotel had good parking. Main reason for 2 stars was the pool. It was lovely and warm but had to pay £10 to use it. However, my mine gripe was that the pool area had a very pungent unpleasant smell! Like a major drain being blocked or something significant was rotting. Very off putting!

Each room is uniquely designed, adding to the hotel's distinctive charm.
Everything about Orsett Hall is great. The location is easily accessible and provides an oasis of nature while surrounded by industry. Smooth check-in and we also received an unexpected upgrade due to an issue with our original booked room. We were very, very happy with the alternative we were offered. The Grounds are lovely with established trees. We could see why people choose to have their wedding here. We ate in the main restaurant and were really impressed by the menu. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. We are only in this area when there is a family event and we would not hesitate to return here.

Great hide away. Deceptively specious, beautiful exterior, amazing and spacious landscape views, add the great ambience of an old English manor settings, then you get the idea. The old is cleverly intertwined with later modern extensions. And with the Spa, Pool, Jacuzzi, Gym, Steam room and Sauna… you can’t go wrong. Quite helpful reception customer service, One of the cleaning actually staff left what she was doing to help locate access to the restaurant. The only gripe? The dinner is not just quite to my expectation. Not the food though, but the setting. Perhaps because this was a packaged stay? The restaurant seems more like a lounge. For dinner, guests should have the actual dinner experience, especially when it’s an experience special outing with significant other. This removed a star from service. But will I use again? Yes.

We have just checked in and been directed to our room which is above the spa round the back of the main hotel. The room is a bit disappointing to be honest. It was 166 for bed and breakfast and I would expect a better room for that. We are on the 1st floor and the ceiling is low at the bottom of the bed due to the rafters as we are in the loft. The TV is under the rafters in the corner on a console table that you would have to be very careful if you wanted to actually use it. When checking in we haven't been told about breakfast or late return in the evening. We have to go through the bar to get to our room so I'm sure there will be another way in. Just a bit underwhelmed.

Beautiful grounds on where the hotel is. Staff are friendly and polite Had the room in the sentoria restaurant area they were modern and spacious. Although the mattress are wearing thin and so soft! Restaurant had different choices for vegetarians. Although disappointed that they removed the pick your 5 small dishes for a decent price. Plenty of parking. Hot Breakfast was decent although not much for continental section. Overall stay was pleasant and comfy considering was there for work.

Not bad, but did not appreciate my account funds being debited for security and is yet to be credited till now despite not making any additional charges to the room. I called after a week and was told it should take 10 working days to credit while it took seconds to debit. I don't understand why i was debited in the first place, guests cards' details should be kept as security if the need arises, not for funds to be debited just for the sake of it.

Very nice Hotel, staff not that helpful and evening meal was dreadful, Beef Wellington was so rare, you could not eat it. Raspberry Pavlova was so hard, no one could eat, or break into it. Very over priced hotel and not worth the money, will not be going back!

We visited Orsett Hall for a family Sunday lunch at 13.00 on 9 March 2025. A party of 10. We have often visited over the years, for many occasions, but after this experience I’m afraid never again. We were seated in an elevated position in The Garden Room. One of our party is a wheelchair user and had to be wheeled out the side door, around the building to another entrance, luckily it was a good day. No assistance was offered from a disinterested, presumably room manager. Another family member uses a walker, he struggled up the 2 steps, with help from a younger waiter, most apologetic and helpful. Not a good advert for inclusivity. Once seated, the service was slow and haphazard. First course, the 2 soup dishes were forgotten and arrived cold. The second course, meals arrived with the wrong selections, the beef was sinewy, vegetables sparse, gravy already added, and no extra offered, accompaniment's had to be asked for, and these meals were not hot. Deserts ordered, all arrived at different times, ice cream not added to the crumble. In all, it was very disappointing. We have wonderful memories of previous times at this venue, but alas it has gone down hill. To top this all, my relative who kindly arranged and payed for our gathering, rang Orsett Hall, to offer feedback to be told the Manager wasn’t available and they would get back to her within 14 days.

Delta Hotels Bexleyheath is an unassuming hotel featuring a restaurant, bar, fitness center, and meeting space. The location is convenient for those needing to be in Bexleyheath, although it's a bit far from train stations. Guests have praised the friendly staff and spacious rooms, with some being upgraded to superior rooms. While the breakfast met expectations, there were suggestions for improvements such as bathroom refresh and adding Chromecast to the TV.
I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The check-in process was smooth and professional, and the room was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, and everything was fresh and delicious. I also appreciated the attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the thoughtful in-room touches like complimentary water and quality toiletries. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Bexleyheath and had a mostly positive experience, though a few things stop me from giving a full 5 stars. We were placed on the lower ground floor, right next to a traffic light. This made the room noisy, and I personally dislike ground/basement rooms because of the lack of views and the reduced sense of security. My children slept through it without issue, but for me it was frustrating. To their credit, the hotel tried to make up for it by giving us a small upgrade—a seating area in the room in addition to the two double beds—which I did appreciate. On the plus side, the room was comfortable, checkout at 12 noon and breakfast running until 11 am (especially on a Sunday) were excellent touches, and these really added to the convenience of our stay. However, I was disappointed to learn that the swimming pool has been permanently closed for two years. For a 4-star property, I expect facilities like a pool, and my children enjoy having a pool available, however, there was no local 4* with a pool so we chose Delta despite this shortfall. Similarly, I would have expected in-room slippers as standard. On top of that, overnight parking cost £9, which I felt was steep. Personally, I think parking at a suburban hotel like this should either be free or much more subsidised—it felt like a bit of a liberty take. Overall, this is a comfortable hotel with some good conveniences, but a few cutbacks and charges take away from the usual full 4-star experience.

--- My stay at this hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The room was a sanctuary of comfort, with luxurious bedding and a stunning view that took my breath away each morning. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel, from the beautifully maintained gardens to the exquisite dining options, was truly remarkable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, making me feel like a valued guest at every turn. I can't wait to return to this slice of paradise. Highly recommended!

Probably my fault but I don't carry photo id so a little bit of an issue, but resolved. Took another £50, as some sort of security payment I'd get straight back, took 3 days. However, the hotel provided a clean and comfortable room for 3 adults and I would definitely book again.

clean, comfortable stay with a modern touch. The rooms are well-appointed, with plush bedding and thoughtful amenities. Staff are generally friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The on-site restaurant provides a decent menu, though prices can be a bit steep. Location-wise, it's conveniently situated for those visiting southeast London or attending events in the area. While not overly luxurious, it delivers solid value and reliable service for both business and leisure travelers.

My wife and I stayed in the Marriott at Bexleyheath for one night on July 19th and I can quite honestly say it was the worst stay I've ever had in a Marriott, and I've stayed in a few. Made me wish I'd booked the nearby Premier Inn instead, it was that bad. We'd booked a double room for one night, and asked for a room in a quiet area as there was at least one loud function being held. We were told the room was on the ground floor facing the courtyard but when we got there there was a busy road just outside the window. We went back to reception and asked if it could be changed and after a lot of typing and a couple of false starts, the best we were offered was one on the third floor, again facing the road but at least it was well above it. It was also 2 stories above the function room but we were assured that that this would finish by 11pm. It didn't! So lots of noise and not a good night's sleep. Mattress was not the best one I've slept on. In the morning, we lost hot water while my wife was filling the sink. She had to boil the kettle to finish. Breakfast was buffet style with everything overdone - eggs like rubber and tough bacon from being kept warm but, sadly, this has become the norm for hotels now. Very few cook to order and serve at the table. I mentioned this when checking out and was told that the manager would contact me to discuss the issues. Nothing heard from the hotel until I inexplicably received a parking charge notice. Now, when we checked into the hotel, I was told that the parking terminal was not working and I left my registration details with reception. On checkout, I noticed that the machine was working and asked if I should enter my registration. I was told this wasn’t necessary. As a result of the problems we had during my stay, the hotel removed the parking charge of £9 as a goodwill gesture so I didn't even have a receipt which showed I had paid for my parking. Cue another call to the hotel and a request to speak with the manager who I was told was unavailable. The recepionist who took my call assured me that she would ensure that I would be contacted and asked me to forward the paperwork about the charge so she could get it cancelled. Having gone through the problems I had during my stay, I was offered 3,000 points on my loyalty card. The equivalent of £3! Derisory and insulting given the premium price we had paid for our stay! I refused this offer and reiterated my request to speak with the manager. It's now September and I still haven't heard anything. Avoid, a 1* experience in a 4* hotel and management who can't be bothered to follow up when our stay fell short of expectations
Richard C — Google review
I had a call with the reservation team for a last-minute booking due to huge delays. I hadn’t slept all night and had to go straight into a meeting. The team on the phone was so nice, understanding, and super helpful. But when I arrived, the reception didn’t know anything. They didn’t care what was discussed or that I was extremely tired. The reservation team told me there were empty rooms, yet they still made me wait outside. The blonde lady, let me call the customer suppprt line to validate if I can reserve a room. Said to the colleague, “you know we would’ve helped her if she was a gold member or something, but yeah, unfortunately she doesn’t have that status”. Also, while the reservation team tried to help me with a discount, the reception actually increased the price. Online, it was cheaper—and now they also have to pay commission to a third party. In the end, it’s their loss. I’m a frequent traveler, a tech entrepreneur, and a senior product owner. The reservation team got me excited, but all the unnecessary extra effort they put me through led to them earning even less money. And the rooms? Clean and pretty? More like 1986—and hairy. While I was finally in my room, they by accident came in and disturb my sleep while I had 2 hours to sleep. Sorry, I wouldn’t recommend this type of service.

Went for a Spa day today. Had a lovely time, enjoyed using the facilities and ate a very nice lunch in the restaurant inside hotel Jasmine gave 5 star treatment service, amazingly intuitive back massage and invigorating salt scrub. From start to finish what an amazing experience. Called to ask some extra informations before booking, spoke to a lovely lady by the name of Kim who works on reception. Upon arrival asked for a cheeky upgraded as I usually do this at all hotels I stay at and was given the most beautiful room looking out on to the garden. If I had the option for this room again I would pay the full asking price. It’s definitely worth it! I had a drink in the bar in the evening amazing selcetion of wine! Breakfast in the conservatory was unreal! The lovely Ros looked after us with five star treatment. All in all leaving as a very happy customer.

Stunning grounds to walk around - gorgeous main hotel! Me and my partner stayed here for my birthday and the room was lovely and much bigger than we expected. The food at the hotel was gorgeous and felt very special! The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that my massage wasn’t great and I wasn’t asked any questions or preferences for how I liked my massage or if there were any spots that were sore and I would like to work on which was a shame…. My partner seemed to have a better experience than me though and was asked these questions so the massage could be tailored to him. The pool was fine and the sauna and steam room was packed so we couldn’t really use these facilities the way we would have liked to.

I recently enjoyed a lovely two-night stay at the Bannatyne Hotel in Hastings, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was welcoming. A special mention goes to Maisie at the front desk. She was incredibly pleasant, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. She kindly assisted me with dinner reservations and made everything feel effortless and welcoming. The food at the hotel was a real highlight. On my first evening, I had the Chargrilled Pork Cutlet, which was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The following night, I opted for the Roast Cod Fillet, another delicious dish. Breakfast each morning was equally impressive, with a wide array of options. The buffet included a full cooked English breakfast, cereals, pastries, toast, and fresh fruit. There were also chef-prepared dishes available; I tried the Eggs Benedict and it was excellent. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. That said, due to the recent warm weather, it did get a bit stuffy and humid at times. A bit of air conditioning would definitely make a difference in the warmer months. During my stay, I also took advantage of a spa voucher and visited the spa located next door. I booked a neck, back, and shoulder massage which was wonderfully relaxing and a perfect way to unwind. Overall, my stay at the Bannatyne Hotel was delightful from start to finish. Great food, a comfortable and welcoming environment, and attentive staff made for a memorable visit. I would definitely return!

I wanted to have a nice dinner with friends here to celebrate my friend’s birthday, but it was a complete disaster. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely unfriendly and passive-aggressive. It honestly felt like they didn’t want to serve us at all - no smiles, no effort, and absolutely no interest in making us feel welcome. The lack of basic hospitality was shocking. What was meant to be a special evening turned into a very uncomfortable experience. In the end, we had to leave because it felt so awful to stay there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The Carlton Folkestone is a 1.5-star hotel with en suite bedrooms that offer views of the English Channel. The on-site dining is also worth mentioning, as it provides guests with various options to choose from. The staff are available 24/7 to help with any needs that may arise and the hotel offers free WiFi in public areas.
It was nice but a bit shabby. The room was very big but ideal for one night. The bed was comfy. There was a bar so that was an added bonus. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Price was excellent

I stayed in a twin room with a sea view for £55 for two people – really good value for money! The room was simple but quite nice, especially for the price. The view from the window was lovely, and everything was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay.
Niru S — Google review
Best thing about the Carlton is the location. However the building and it's upkeep is lacking. There's some elements you cannot fathom why it's been done how it has. Anyone with sense would know wall paper in a bathroom isn't going to work. You can see effort has been put into it recently , the entrance hall has had some attention and it's not too bad. But the room we stayed in was grubby looking , the door latch was loose so we had to put a chair against the handle to stop of banging on itself when ever someone walked past. Mattresses were very yukky although the sheets were at least fresh and washed. There were a few "soft" spots on the floor where it had failed. Don't go in the car park at the rear with a low car! Staff were very friendly on the front desk on arrival, greeted with a smile. For where it is, it's the cheapest hotel, and although I've berated the rooms, it is what you'd expect for the price. If I was still on a budget, I'd probably stay again, but maybe not with the children and wife. We stayed just to break the journey to use the Shuttle , so it served it purpose. We chose not to try the restaurant though.

Nice location right across from the English Channel. Rooms are cozy. There is a bar and pool table. This is a no frills place but was worth it for the price. Kevin and Jay took great care of us. The boiler had to be reset several times for hot water.

it did the job of having somewhere to stay so we were ready to go to le shuttle. basic, small rooms, no hot water in shower. we had single beds even though we booked a double. lift out of order. even though it said it has a restaurant, we were told they don't do even meals but only 2 mins to town. one guy who had poor English seemed to be working on his own, doing reception, bar and carrying luggage for some people upstairs. they don't do cups of tea in the bar. hotel in need of updating. its 10 mins from le shuttle and it did the job. definitely wouldn't want to stay more than one night

The worst hotel ever. The only good thing is sea views from the room. No restaurant, very poor WiFi, intact could not even get it in the room, which was mouldy and draughty with no hot water. The restaurant was some tables and chairs with a toaster and all staff spoke broken English. The extractor in the bathroom was so full of dust,it didn't work and there was no shower holder so showering was a challenge. Other guests were all complaining of the same issues. The lift was out of order, infact it even had a vape machine installed in front of the door. Avoid this establishment at all costs.

The location is very nice and clean, with plenty of historical places. Would be 5 star if we could have stayed in a different hotel.

Nestled in the picturesque Kent countryside, the Cave Hotel and Golf Resort offers a serene escape for travelers seeking relaxation and luxury. This refined establishment features an impressive 18-hole golf course, perfect for enthusiasts looking to enjoy a round amidst stunning landscapes. Guests can unwind at the spa, where soothing treatments await alongside a saline pool and a jacuzzi that boasts breathtaking views. The hotel’s design pays tribute to ancestral homes with its use of natural materials and ambient lighting, creating an inviting atmosphere throughout.
Exceptional Service at The Cave Hotel From the moment we arrived at The Cave Hotel, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of our stay was the outstanding service from Alex at reception. From check-in to departure, Alex was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and well looked after. Alex answered all our questions with a smile, gave us helpful tips about the local area, and Alex truly exceeded our expectations. The Cave Hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and truly the perfect getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt an incredible sense of calm and relaxation. The atmosphere was peaceful, the décor stunning, and every detail had clearly been thought through to create a luxurious and comfortable experience. It was so relaxing every moment felt like a treat and everything, from the room to the service, was simply perfect.

The room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable, and the food was truly delicious. However, the reception staff left much to be desired – the customer service was disappointing, especially considering the price paid for one night. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and I purchased a golf package for him, which was well organized. On the day of check-out, while he was at his golf session, I waited for him in the lounge and ordered a coffee. Unfortunately, it took 40 minutes before anyone came to take payment, and during that time I had to go to reception three times to ask about it. I was ignored and treated with indifference, and in the end, the coffee was never even brought to me. It was not about the £4.50 coffee – it was about the lack of care and attention I received, which left me very disappointed.

We stayed at The Cave Hotel for one night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The golf courses are beautiful — I don’t play golf, but I really enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was quite mixed. I was most excited about the spa, but it turned out to be small and dark, more like a space designed for bachelor parties than for a romantic getaway. That bachelor-party vibe actually runs through the whole hotel — stylish, yes, but not exactly relaxing or intimate. Our room looked nice at first glance, but felt a bit worn out — like it had seen one too many parties. The white curtains (facing the panoramic windows) were stained and even damaged, there were marks on the carpet and wooden panels. In a heritage hotel, that might feel charming, but in a “luxury modern” property, it’s disappointing. We showed photos to reception just to make sure they knew it wasn’t us, and while they apologised, nothing was offered in return — which felt underwhelming for this level of hotel. The biggest downside, though, was the noise. You can hear everything — people walking in the corridors, toilets flushing from the rooms above. The bed and mattress were good, but a restful night’s sleep wasn’t really possible. That said, the Firepit Restaurant absolutely redeemed the stay. The food was incredible — honestly, the best meal I’ve had in the UK so far. So, I’d recommend The Cave Hotel for golfers or for groups looking for a fun night out with great food. But as a romantic escape or a luxury spa weekend — it misses the mark.

After our wedding, my new wife and I stayed in the Bridal Suite at The Cave Hotel in Faversham, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to end such a special day. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and luxurious. The staff were warm and welcoming (even though we turned up early hours of the morning), and they made sure everything was set up beautifully for us. Walking into the suite after such an stunning, exciting day was like stepping into a peaceful, private oasis. The suite itself is absolutely stunning. Spacious, stylish, and incredibly romantic, with a super king bed, ambient lighting, and a gorgeous freestanding bath. But the real standout for us was the private outdoor hot tub—sitting in it under the stars with a glass of champagne was the perfect way to unwind and take in everything that had just happened. The next morning, we had a fantastic breakfast in bed overlooking the grounds and reflected on our day. It was calm, quiet, and exactly what we needed after a hectic lead up to the wedding. We’re so glad we chose The Cave Hotel for our first night as a married couple. It was intimate, elegant, and completely unforgettable. If you’re getting married nearby or just want a romantic escape, we couldn’t recommend the Bridal Suite more highly.

DO NOT STAY! Me and my Partner stayed at the Cave Hotel for his 27th Birthday. I paid £405.00 for ONE night plus £90.00 for balloons to be put in the room as a surprise (couldn’t fault the balloons). When we first checked in at around 2:40pm we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 3:00pm which we thought was a bit ridiculous as we had to wait 20 minutes! The lady who was at the front desk was quite rude not welcoming at all and looked down at her nose at us! Literally felt like we were poo on her shoe. We got into the room which smelt horrible. We had to keep the blinds closed as people were walking directly past our windows no privacy at all. When we where about to leave my partner made the bed and noticed the bottom of the duvet cover came off so proceeded to sort it out until he found a massive stain of period blood on the actual duvet! We were utterly disgusted with this as surely you’d replace this! God knows what other stains there was as we couldn’t look as we’d be so disappointed and disgusted knowing we’ve slept in the bed. The pool and saunas, well I say saunas they didn’t work. It was super over crowded and no where to put your things except on the floor. We visited the pool after dinner and we did notice a couple doing things they shouldn’t as it was us and them only in there. We soon got up and left. We had dinner at the Korean cowgirl and please do not go there! We had a £140.00 bill and a £15.00 service charge which we demanded was removed as the service was appalling. We where first offered some water which you’d think was complimentary as she said but we where charged £5.00 for water! I ordered a coke which was £4.50 so how can water be more expensive!!! We ordered the sharing platter for 2, we hardly ate any of it my partner also ordered the loaded tater tots and a rice bowl, I had the smash burger we barely ate anything except the tater tots and a mouthful of the burger which tasted super off so I left half of it. We checked out and we didn’t use anything in the mini bar at all. I was also not told they would take £150.00 on arrival which is just ridiculous. We had breakfast before we left as we drove 4 hours here and had to drive back. Whilst we were driving home we had to pull into the emergency sos breakdown where I threw up. We were stopping at almost every service for 4+ hours as I suffered really bad food poisoning which is from the restaurant as we didn’t eat anywhere else but the Korean cowgirl. My god I wish I read the reviews for that place! I am truly so upset about this experience, especially it being a traumatic experience as I suffer with emetophobia and now feeling super unwell. If I could give this place a 0 I would, we will never return and hopefully people look at the reviews before coming and don’t make the same mistake we did.

Our stay at the cave was super relaxing and we had a lovely stay. The beds are super comfortable and the breakfast room service was the highlight of our trip! Unfortunately there was a few small stains on the carpet here and there that were very noticeable. The bathrooms were well stocked with robes and slippers provided too for use of the pool. The pool was quite small for a popular hotel and could do with a little maintenance and clean up.

Signature suite was nice and spacious. Service was great, anything we asked for was given to us within minutes! Spa/pool area isn’t the biggest but is still decent. Overall a good place for a couple of days away.

Honestly, don’t believe what you see on social media because you will be disappointed by the reality. Poor service seems to be part of their training. They allowed a party to go on until past 4am in one of the adjoining suites to ours. Including giving them more alcohol at 3:30am despite our complaints at 1am. Have emailed the manager Jonaton as suggested but surprise surprise no response. As far as the spa is concerned this was shambolic with no steam room or sauna working and the gym is nothing more than two kettlebells and some discoloured mats.

The Orida Hotels Maidstone is a cozy hotel with warmly furnished rooms, an indoor pool, and a spa. It's conveniently located near the town center and provides easy access to the attractions of Kent and the surrounding area. The hotel offers a peaceful base for exploring historic Kent, including Leeds Castle and Chatham Historic Dockyard. Additionally, it's just 30 minutes from Eurotunnel and 45 minutes from Gatwick or Stansted International Airports.
We celebrated a 70th here and it was perfect. From booking, planning to execution it was faultless. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Even to the small touches of birthday banners and balloons in the room. We used their DJ who was also great. A special thanks to Lenny on the bar who was a real star on the night. A great time had by all

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely location. However went for a valentine's night away and unfortunately there was a funeral wake being held in the main bar so felt awkward going for a drink there so left to go elsewhere. The night was awful as lots of doors being slammed throughout so not much sleep unfortunately. Was lovely going for a swim and using the health spa early the next day though. Sadly when checking out and leaving we discovered that my car had been damaged by another car whilst parked and there was no staff to help with getting information about how to track down the owner of the car as it was a weekend.

Stayed at hotel for several nights whilst attending a wedding. Rooms were very spacious but as previously noted were a bit tired looking and need updating. This is work in progress as the reception area is of a much higher standard. The buffet breakfast is good value if hungry, no options for a lighter breakfast unless using the coffee shop in the foyer. Limited choice on the restaurant menu so ate at a pub in essy walking distance. Everywhere was very clean and staff were helpful. Superb location and access to motorway - would use again if in that direction.

Very disappointing one night stay the room had no air con so it was uncomfortably hot fans were provided one was very noisy so couldn't have it on. My wife ordered the only gluten free starter option on the menu the meatballs only for the waitress to come back and say they were no longer gluten free the only other option was a side salad which was not very filling. Asked for the dessert menu which the waiter forgot to bring when he eventually did we'd given up on it. Then after this a service charge was put on the bill !! . Breakfast was very average the hot food was only warm . Lots of dirty trays in the corridors which needed collecting.

Friendly service. Good rooms with very comfortable beds and lovely linen. Good facilities in the rooms except no air-conditioning. Have to pay for parking. Only complaint is some of decor is a little tired.

The two stars are for A) the sweet, probably very underpaid staff and B) the clean bed and room, again, thanks to underpaid staff). Reminded me of the film The Shining. Thought a little kid on a two wheeler was gonna coming flying down corridor any second. Dated, old fashioned hotel. Could not use Pool as it was full of screaming kids. (Maybe they were ghosts and the pool was really empty lol). No water in fridge (30 degrees outside) (restaurant charges £4.00 for bottle of water!). No air conditioning in room. Got fans that don't work very well. TV does not face bed and remote needs new batteries. No hand shower so if you want to wash your hair you have to wash body as well lol. Room overlooks busy dual carriageway. Windows are dirty. (Whilst sat in restaurant I noticed this, maybe because sun was shining in on them, very dirty. I could of drawn a picture in the grimy windows ). Charged £60.00 for two burgers and chips and two glasses of wine!!! (Waitresses were lovely though)). All food probably just thrown in an air fryer. Not a la carte lol! Loud in reception, there was a wake and looked liked they were all having a ball in bar area, well jell lol. Needs a lick of paint and carpets are old. Had to pay for parking after paying over £200.00 for stay!. How on earth can they get away with calling this a 4 star hotel. They are absolutely taking the mic. They think we are bloody stupid. Maybe it's 4star because to be fair, they do provide Dove soap in bathroom and it smells nice lol. Maybe Im spoilt and being harsh but thats my true opinion.

I stayed at the Orida Hotel in Maidstone for two nights on a business trip and overall had a great experience. The hotel itself is very clean and well presented, with excellent facilities including a gym, swimming pool, and sauna. They also have a Jacuzzi, but unfortunately, it wasn’t working during my stay. The lobby is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating and even a Starbucks on site, which was a nice bonus. The bar area is stylish and there’s lovely outdoor seating available too. There is a restaurant on site which offers a good range of options, and room service is available as well. The food prices are what you would typically expect for a hotel restaurant—a little more expensive than average, but generally in line with this type of setting. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the car park was nearly full both days. I was lucky to grab the last spot once, but be aware that parking is £6 per night and must be paid on arrival. There is no free option for hotel guests. My room was clean and quite spacious. It included the usual amenities like tea, coffee, a kettle, and even a fan which was already on when I arrived, a thoughtful touch given the hot weather. I also appreciated the personalised note letting me know the room had been cleaned by Anita. The guest handbook said rooms would only be cleaned for stays longer than two nights, so I wasn’t expecting housekeeping, but I was pleasantly surprised to return and find the bed made and room tidied. There were a few drawbacks. My room faced the main road so traffic noise was noticeable throughout the night. The décor could use some modernising, and the TV setup was awkward. You couldn’t comfortably watch from the bed, and BBC One had no sound. Still, nothing major enough to ruin the stay. The location is convenient, just off the motorway and easy to find, but there’s not much around. There is a pub and an M&S Foodhall about a four minute walk away, which was handy. All in all, a solid stay. Comfortable, clean, good facilities, and nice service touches. I’d definitely stay here again.

Nestled in the heart of Maidstone, the Hamlet Larkfield Priory Hotel offers a charming retreat within a stunning 19th-century manor. Guests can enjoy traditional-style bedrooms, including elegant 4-poster suites that exude classic charm. The hotel features a cozy bar and restaurant for dining options, although it’s worth noting that the restaurant may occasionally close for cleaning.
Nice hotel with a very friendly staff. I got a small warm room and (I call him the manager) he gave me another room. The staff carried all the luggage from my group to the ground floor. You never know but maybe we will meet again. Keep up the good work. Ramon. (Driver from the Henneman Group)

Very basic not sure how this hotel has 3 stars to be honest. Good points staff are very helpful and polite. Bar area looks fresh and is definitely more updated than the rest of the hotel. The Cottage room is around to the side of the hotel which is very untidy and even dirty. Entrance into the room is more like the entrance to a flat in some dodgy area. Curtains do not fit the windows properly and you can see into the room from outside with the curtains closed. Lino on the floor of the bedroom in a hotel I've never seen before. The room could really do with being updated. Room service is an extra £25 per day which isn't mentioned on booking the hotel. Breakfast was better this morning to the previous 2 mornings. Hotel needs a lot of work even to bring it up to a 3 star in my opinion. No excuse for dirty entrance to rooms I have pictures but its not letting me post them unfortunately

“The Ideal Place for a Special Celebration” We recently held our vow renewal reception at this hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect for our special day. The event space was beautifully prepared, elegant, and welcoming — exactly the atmosphere we had hoped for. We had requested a flower arch for the ceremony, and the team arranged it beautifully, which made the setting even more romantic and memorable. The catering team provided delicious food that our guests are still raving about, and the service throughout the evening was attentive without ever being intrusive. Our bedroom was also spacious and comfortable, with a charming four-poster bed and a cozy couch. While the furnishings showed a touch of age, everything was perfectly nice and added to the character of our stay. What stood out most was the genuine care and professionalism of the entire team. They listened to our vision, accommodated every request with patience, and made us feel completely at ease. Thanks to their hard work, we were able to relax and enjoy celebrating with our loved ones. Our guests complimented not only the setting but also the smooth flow of the evening, which is all thanks to the hotel’s excellent planning and staff. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for such a meaningful occasion. This hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning an event or simply looking for an exceptional stay.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone - do yourself a favour and book somewhere else: - The bed mattress had collapsed on one side rendering it unusable - It was a hot day so our 2nd floor bedroom was a literal sauna and the table fan provided was broken. When enquiring with reception to get a new one, typically they didn't have any so we got about as much sleep as you'd expect - We had a wasps nest near our window and had lots of unwelcome guests as a result of leaving the window open. We had the delightful choice of either being boiled alive or sleeping with wasps... Let me know which you would have picked. - The shower pressure resembled that of a leaking gutter and the toilet didn't flush properly - Our room was next to the hot water tank boiler so there was continuous rumbling all night - There is no lift which made life difficult for my 85 year old disabled relatives who they put on the 1st floor - The rooms have very basic and outdated decor and the plugs / light switches are all in very strange locations - Our wedding party all got woken up by two fire alarms at 7am but our room alarm wasn't working so we never even knew about it On the bright side the breakfast was somewhat palatable so that's at least something positive

Stayed here overnight for my partners birthday. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Breakfast buffet was great. Only slight niggles was the suite we stayed in was in need of redecorating I liked the old fashioned vibes but the wallpaper has seen better days! A good experience and would stay again.

Canceled booking as website states pets stay free. They wanted to charge me £20.00 per night for the dog. It appears they have one dog friendly room which, if u book u won't pay dog fee. I booked a cheaper room and it would have cost me £80.00 extra despite it not being labelled a 'dog friendly' room. When a hotel says they have dog friendly rooms, one assumes that they have such rooms in different price points, not just one. First impression of hotel not good. Check in is in the bar which immediately told me this was not professional. No one there. I called out. I asked another guest. No one responded. I called out repeatedly. Kept waiting at least 20 minutes, hanging around an empty bar. I canceled.

A promising hotel that could have so much potential. Arriving at the hotel which is situated in a many area, 20 min walk from the East Malling Station, 2 minute walk from a petrol station and Tesco Extra and a 5 minute walk from Morrisons. However, walking into the hotel each time you are met with a hit of warm hot air, not ideal for sunny 22-24°c weather. The rooms themselves are also stuffy but spacious. I can’t fault the staff either, friendly and helpful. The rooms. Cracked paint everywhere, shower head pressure is non existent, and staining on shower tiles. No plugs near the beds so if you want to charge your phone while relaxing you got to sit at the desk provided and sit there or occupy yourself. Desk was chipped and rotting as the drawers had a white mould on the inside, windows were decent size and fully opened which helped with the heat as well as the fan. Breakfast. Breakfast was okay, bacon is cheap, sausages just about cooked, beans were watery, yoghurts were warm. But I suppose it was free so it made it worth it? Would I stay here again? Maybe as a last resort as there are plenty of decent ones closer by.
Connor G — Google review
Absolute hell hole. Check in is “self service” - read, broken and needs help from staff who have had enough. They’ve had enough because it’s a million degrees, and the room has one power socket and no AC. I’m 45. It was last cleaned by the looks of it in the year of my birth. I’ve cleaned the light switches and they have now gone back white. I’m not doing the skirting board; I didn’t bring a hoover. The bathroom looks bearable but I’m braced for my morning shower tomorrow.

Interestingly, we also attended the vegan night and had a completely different experience. We had the Bruschetta sharing platter and the tempura vegetables, both of which were delicious and well cooked. The Hummus was probably the best I have ever tasted, it was so light it was like a cloud - I could have eaten it all night! My partner had the ‘Not’ Shepherds Pie and demolished it, stating is was extremely tasty. I had the pasta dish which was lovely. We both had the apple and pear crumble and whilst not over sweet, certainly was sweet enough for us. Given that the Chef was bringing something new (and given that neither of us are vegans), we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It’s a shame that there are those out there that seem to take pleasure in destroying others. I was witness to the previous reviewers dining experience, which they seemed intent on not enjoying, given the eye rolls and attempts to involve others in their theatrics. Please do another vegan night - we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Was excited for the Vegan Night but was completely disappointed! Considering it was a Vegan Night it didn't feel right that across the restaurant they were still serving non vegan food. We ordered a tea and was served cows milk. The starter was alright but the tempura batter wasn't done correctly. The main was nothing like a shepherds pie. There was no mention about a tomato sauce in the "shepherds pie". The sweet potato mash was just slop and the carrots were rock hard. They then swapped it for the burger which was not cooked in the middle but black on the outside. And the chips weren't cooked. We thought surely they can't mess up a brownie and apple crumble but somehow the brownie was burnt and no sugar was added to the crumble. The best part was the Coke. I don't know how this "Chef" has worked under professionals like Jamie Oliver and Marco Pierre White. A school dinner would have been nicer. So now I'm gonna have to cook dinner when I get home. The atmosphere wasn't that great. But the server was nice and apologetic even though it wasn't their fault.

Lovely hotel, staff was super friendly. Great location and included breakfast was nice! Air-conditioning in rooms, with was great in June when we visited! Lovely spa day with treatments and cream tea to celebrate a birthday. Staff were super friendly, polite and welcoming. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Treatments were excellent, super relaxing and staff made us feel very comfortable. Cream tea consisted of 2 small scones and had the option of adding a panni on for a small charge. Overall facilities were clean and we didn't have any issues. Definitely would go back! Highly recommend.

Spa day as a wedding gift. Great treatments couldn’t fault them but no hot water so had to have a cold shower which took a while to remove exfoliation. Took me a while to warm up While waited for next treatment. There is only 4 relaxing seat beds in spa around pool and these were taken all afternoon, we did seat on the heated foot spa seats but water was too cold to dip feet in. Gym was brilliant and not busy so spent most our afternoon in it but kind of defeated point of ‘Spa’ Cream tea was 1 very small fruit scone and a hot beverage, you have to upgrade for a panini and no sandwiches cake included so manage you expectations, served in a small stuffy side room. Staff very pleasant but wouldn’t return.

I picked this spa to take my best friend for her 25th birthday. We had the complete melt down which included a 55 min facial, 85min full body massage, cream tea and full access to the facilities. We drove there from London and it was very worth it! We had a wonderful time, it was relaxing and not packed with people which really helped. Gabriela did my facial and massage - it was splendid! She is great ❤️ Overall great experience, I recommend to anyone that thinks of a relaxing day out x

Reynolds Spa Sittingbourne: I had a neck, back, and leg deep tissue massage with Gabriella on Thursday, along with a deluxe pedicure. This is the second time Gabby has done my treatments, and each time she’s been so welcoming and professional – a real asset to the spa. Her deep tissue massage really hit the spot, working out all the tension, and her deluxe pedicures are incredibly relaxing. Nothing is too much trouble for her – she always goes the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable and leave feeling refreshed. I Highly recommend.

Just returned from a very relaxing spa day.... Cheryl the aqua aerobics instructor was fantastic, full of energy and made the class fun to join in. Cream tea was disappointing. 2 very small scones with jam and cream plus a cup of tea. Could have upgraded to a panni for an extra £5. I had 2 treatments and they were lovely and relaxing felt very chilled afterwards. A shout out to the lady who was keeping poolside and changing rooms clean and tidy. She was very helpful if we needed anything. Overall a lovely day but needs improvements on cream tea. Would return again.

No42 by GuestHouse in Margate is a stylish reinvention of a classic Victorian seafront hotel, making it a standout in the town's ongoing revitalization. The chic beach house-inspired rooms, rooftop terrace, and vibrant restaurant are some of its main attractions, offering stunning views of the sweeping yellow sands. Guests highly recommend this luxury boutique hotel for its spotless and well-designed bedrooms with thoughtful touches like trendy beach towels and bags.
No. 42 is a real gem in Margate — by far one of the standout places to stay in the area. The interiors are beautifully designed with real attention to detail, and the terrace is the perfect spot for drinks while people-watching. The rooms are thoughtfully kitted out — the tote bag and beach towels were such a nice, practical touch. One lovely surprise was the well-stocked guest pantry, complete with sweet treats, fruit, and even ice cream — such a generous and welcoming idea. Breakfast was delicious, served in a gorgeous setting, and the whole experience felt relaxed yet refined. My only regret is not checking ahead — I didn’t realise the restaurant and rooftop bar aren’t open all week, so I felt I missed out a little there. I’d love to come back and experience it in full next time. Highly recommend — this place has soul, style, and proper hospitality.

A lot to love about this hotel. Location is great as it’s very central and offers sea view. But the experience was really dampened by huge building work just next door. Which meant that it was loud when we were trying to nap our little one or just chill in the room. Our room was beautiful, romantic, and the hotel provided a cot for our baby. There were a lot of nice touches like a vinyl player (with lots of vinyls to choose from !) and complimentary sweets and cakes. We had a balcony with a nice view and the bathroom was amazing, with a beautiful shower and a nice bath. But a big problem was the soundproofing , which was very bad. We could hear people just walking upstairs and very loud sound of doors opening and closing in the evening. For a hotel that is expensive and is selling a luxury experience that’s a bit of a bummer to hear your neighbors loudly, not mega relaxing. Finally, the spa of the hotel was amazing and 100% worth it. No notre, and it’s so nice to be able to go directly from the spa to the rooms im a bathrobe

Best spa experience ever. Riri (sorry if that's not how you spell it) is an amazing masseuse and got all the knots out of my very tense back! Definitely recommend for a lovely unwinding experience. Lovely, welcoming staff, the place smells amazing and has a very calm atmosphere.

Beautiful hotel, central location and very nice, accommodating staff. The room was gorgeous, clean and quiet. Both the rooftop bar and in-house restaurant (The Pearly Cow) are very picturesque. The pantry on the second floor with complimentary cake and pick n mix are a really nice touch! The breakfast was not as high standard as we were expecting, and the bathrooms next to reception were in need of a clean / bins to be emptied, but otherwise a very enjoyable stay!
Jess L — Google review
We went in for a drink and started downstairs where the staff were lovely. We then moved upstairs to the rooftop bar where there was quite a shift, the staff were incredibly rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. The wine also tasted like it had been opened for days as it was so acidic. Not great when you’re paying £17 a glass!!! Stick to the downstairs area as the drinks are much more reasonable and staff are lovely ☺️

Kevin greeted us at the train station to collect our luggage; a wonderful touch and incredibly helpful when travelling with two little ones. He was a very welcoming professional and promptly showed us to our suite. Sadly, the experience that followed was a little disappointing. Before our trip we were advised we upgrade to a suite; but we weren't warned this would mean not only do we lose out on a balcony but that there were building works taking place next door. Literally. They were loud during the day with hammering and drilling, and I felt a little frustrated that no one let us know ahead of time. In addition to the above, a few additional details, that I would ordinarily expect from a suite, were lacking; 1) A little dirty; there were crisps on the floor and the coffee area was a little stained/ dirty from the previous stay. The lamps had cobwebs on the inside, home to some dead spiders and the crib had marks and even a little food left behind. We accidentally spilt a little pasta sauce on our duvet cover on night one, and noticed that after the room had been cleaned on day two, the duvet was turned over rather than changed. 2) The website advertises itself as family friendly; the picture listed on the website shows a little girl playing with a beautiful wooden train set, for example, but on arrival it was a little cold. There was a Yoto Player, which to it's credit & once charged was great, but no toys Not a huge issue at all, but the images and description on the website are a little misleading which is what I found to be disappointing. As a whole, it was also not very pram accessible. The private entrance is actually just a separate building and not pram accessible, unless with a partner. Every time we wanted to go to the main entrance we'd have to go down the stairs (carrying the pram) and into the road, since the maintenance works meant we couldn't fit onto the pavement. See picture attached. The sky roof was also not easily accessible since the lift only goes to floor three then you have to carry the pram up a really narrow stair case. The bar man also said that ordinarily they don't allow prams. Again, another detail the website doesn't advertise. The location was extremely central but also above or next door to quite a loud bar so we could hear the music. Aside from the construction, and considering we were on the busier side, it was actually quite quiet. Overall a nice room with fantastic views, but I feel the website over delivered. Our main frustration was that no one forewarned us about the construction noise given they had ample time to do so. Had we known, we would have stayed in the main building where we could have also enjoyed the balcony.

Just wonderful hotel that totally love dogs. Everything is perfect. We stayed in the large guest room with a sea view which was amazing. Breakfast was delicious too and they gave the dogs a sausage each as well. We had cocktails on the terrace and watched the sun go down. Thank you to all the team.

Fantastic anniversary meal lastnight at No 42. Table overlooked the sea and we watched a beautiful sunset while we ate. The lamb with the garlic potatoes side dish was the best I’ve had - compliments to the chef - the service was excellent and very efficient - the staff were friendly and attentive. Great choice for our special celebration!

The Relish is a charming townhouse B&B located in the West End of Folkestone, just a short walk from the sea and various restaurants. The individually decorated rooms offer a clean and tastefully decorated space for guests to relax. The full English breakfast served in the lovely breakfast room provides a great selection of hot and cold options with views of Augusta Gardens. Despite being close to the Leas coastal park and beach, it offers an extremely quiet location.
Exceptional service I seldom give hotels 5 stars, but the exceptional service and friendly staff really made this hotel stand out for me. Raj made us feel welcome and his attention to detail is a cut above the rest. Our room clean and although on the small side, it was newly decorated and lovely. Breakfast was great and the dining room is not overcrowded. We really enjoyed our stay here and will most definitely be back.

I stayed at The Relish for one night. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was great. It’s a little tricky to park nearby but luckily I was able to use one of the hotel’s parking spaces. The room could do with a little refresh but perfect for a night away.
Anya W — Google review
We spent a family weekend at The Relish, booking a total of 4 rooms at this establishment. What struck us at check in was how inefficiently it was carried out. The staff member at the front desk was not new (family already knew him from a previous stay) and acted as if he was just in training. What was absolutely shocking was that he wrote down our credit card details in a notebook instead of entering them directly into the system. He argued that “he was too busy and would do it later”. Breakfast orders also landed in this notebook. Even though we were booked in for a specific time, there were delays or orders had switched times. Best of all, the facility's website asks you to fill in your breakfast order online. As it turned out on site, the only way to order was via this notebook. The same staff member did not even bother to say goodbye to us when we checked out, even though we occupied 50% of the place and knew well that things had not gone perfectly. We were also not informed that there was a renovation in the property so the whole facade was covered with a scaffolding. The room itself lacked shelves for belongings (there were just 2 ridiculous baskets in a cupboard imitating a fridge). As is typical in this type of building loud noises from the pipes when using water. The positives are the central location and access to the internal garden. Also, there is always a cake to enjoy in the afternoon.

I recently had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at The Relish. Yes the rooms are somewhat small and yes it does not have a lift, but this is down to the period architecture nothing else. The hotel manager Raj could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Freshly cooked breakfasts, brilliant.

We stayed a few weeks back for a wedding and had majority of the place. We couldn’t fault the service. The manager did everything and was brilliant and would recommend. He ensured everything was sorted from parking, to the rooms cleaned and breakfast. It was definitely five star service.

AquaManda Spa offers a range of packages that include access to various facilities such as swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym and fitness studio. Guests are provided with luxury robes, slippers and towels in their personal lockers. The spa also includes delicious meals and complimentary tea or coffee upon arrival. Visitors can enjoy professional treatments like massages, facials and scalp treatments in the double therapy room.
My wife and I visited today and both had the 75min massage, facial, and scalp treatment in the double therapy room. Ali and her colleague were very professional and performed an excellent treatment for us both. I feel very relaxed and ready to chill out for the rest of the weekend. The spa facilities on site are very clean and included jacuzzi, swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. It would be great if there were more beds to relax on in the spa area but it doesn't have enough space. That being said, it was still very enjoyable. All the staff have been excellent and friendly. Thank you!

Beautiful spa so fresh and so clean. Treatment was amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Simone S — Google review
The spa is in a lovely setting, and on the very rare occasion it is quiet, it is delightful to have a swim in and use the other spa facilities. However, the spa area and swimming pool is small, and as a swimming member, I frequently find it too busy to have a decent swim, and have often been kicked in the pool. This turns what should be a relaxing experience into a stressful one, the complete opposite of the relaxing experience I am looking for when using the spa area. The spa appear to be trying to fit in too many different activities into the small spa area, such as having swimming memberships, sometimes several aqua aerobics classes a day, spa days, as well as hotel residents and children using the area at particular times. I appreciate the spa need to make money, but this apparent excessive drive for profit has turned what is meant to be a relaxing experience in the spa, into a stressful and unpleasant one for me. The above is not helped by the apparent lack of spatial awareness and consideration of some other pool users, however if management weren't trying to squeeze so much into the small spa area, this may not be so much of an issue. Due to the above, I have just cancelled my swimming membership as the above does not look like it's going to change any time soon, and I do not feel valued as a customer, I feel more like a cash cow. It's a shame that by being excessively profit driven, my customer experience has been diminished in this way.

The spa itself is clean, well decorated and very relaxing. We stayed from 10am to 4pm and could have stayed longer! I had a back ritual and a facial the products used smelled amazing and the lady was friendly and professional. I'd definitely come here again.

What a special place this spa is. Quite unlike anywhere else, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the therapists all so talented and caring. It has a family feel and I feel refreshed and renewed every time I leave. I feel lucky to have found it and only wish I had discovered them sooner. Great Caudalie facials, and the massages are amazing. I now treat myself once a month and it is the best money I have ever spent.

Could not recommend this place enough. Visited yesterday with my mum who had booked us in for a belated birthday treat for myself. We both had treatments, I had a pregnancy massage and a facial and my mum a full body massage and all the treatments were amazing! Better than ones I’ve had in fancy chain spas! We then had a delicious brunch and they even provided us with some alcohol free bubbles. The spa itself is lovely, it’s personal and intimate with all the luxuries you could need and the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

There’s something uniquely special about Sheldon spa, the close attention to every detail that elevates it above other Spas I have visited, it is an amazing sanctuary. The peaceful welcoming ambience is felt when you walk through the front door, thank-you Joanna and the team I look forward to my next visit.

So disappointed that my best friend and husband tried to book a day here as a surprise for my birthday and was treated appallingly on the phone saying her query was evidence we were the right calibre/ clientele! She was asking what was included in the price !!! Such a shame as l'd seen this page and all the lovely reviews so had mentioned it a few times as somewhere I’d really like to go. So I can’t even tell you about the actual place because apparently we are the type you’re looking for. With this outrageous attitude we unsurprisingly are going somewhere else ( a chain that’s actually cheaper ) we tried to support a local smaller run business, but attitude and rudeness has affected your sale not only for 6 people for the day who would have all come and got treatments but further use by me and any friends /family as I’ll be sure to share my experience.

I recently learned that I have an intolerance and thought that my relationship with my taste buds would then be over. But, I visited Sheldon Spa and their wonderful Chef, Neil, concocted this absolutely delightful raspberry soufflé with an almond ice cream. Dairy Free, Gluten Free and full of taste and satisfaction! The crisp of the almond with the bitter sweet raspberry was perfection! A sanctuary for the body, mind, spirit and taste buds!

This was our first time visiting Sheldon Spa and it certainly will not be the last, what a lovely place! Where to start…….Jo was incredibly helpful from the very beginning providing all the info we needed. Our visit today was a late birthday present for my mum and we were blown away with a little bottle of Prosecco on arrival for her as a birthday treat. The staff were really friendly, professional and made us feel really welcome. We booked one treatment each, a foot and leg massage for mum and I chose a back, shoulder and neck massage…..both massages were incredible, we both said the same thing that they were the best massages we have ever had. We chose to eat here too and the food was so good! We had the smaller starter size plates of chicken satay skewers and the prawn and salmon fish cake. Both delicious including the fresh rolls that were made on site. I wish I could give more stars, we loved everything about today. Thank you Jo and team

From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The setting is beautiful and so serene. Thank you to all the staff for making our day so special!

A gorgeous, quiet Spa tucked away in the countryside, far from the madding crowd. Only a limited number of guests allowed for a Spa day, so the whole atmosphere was extremely relaxing and peaceful. The gardens are stunning and the outdoor pool is just the right temperature and plenty of sun loungers if you’re lucky enough to have a warm day. The staff are amazing, genuinely warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to ensure we our enjoyed our day. The food (breakfast and lunch) was lovely and freshly prepared and no restrictions on drinks if you fancy a glass of wine with your food! I’d highly recommend Knowle Grange and will definitely visit again soon.

Booked a full spa day for my partner’s birthday and it was wonderful. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and, despite the weather, we still managed to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi. The indoor jacuzzi was a favourite of ours, so relaxing and peaceful. The staff were friendly, helpful and gave us such a warm welcome.

Everything about this spa is exceptional. The location is out of this world and every single person who works there are so lovely and welcoming. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner who I must say has done an amazing job with this place. We booked a lovely private room with en-suite and outdoor patio area to use throughout the day. I highly recommend anyone visiting whether it be for a special occasion or just to use the facilities to relax and unwind. It really is a hidden gem and from start to finish a truly fantastic experience. Special thanks to Natalie and Jess who are brilliant and made our time here so special.

I have been frequenting this health spa for over four years and I have never had such an inviting and welcoming experience, from exercising every muscle in my anatomy in the on-site gym, to metaphysically soaring into the rarefied atmosphere without a care in the world, lounging across a wicker sunbed with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other, it is a total haven for health nuts as well as stressed out workaholics, or indeed both. So, come to knowle grange health spa, for rest, relaxation, and the most helpful and considerate staff.
