Iki Island, situated off the northwest coast of Kyushu, is a laid-back tropical destination that offers a taste of paradise without the long journey. With its 145 km circumference, the island boasts stunning natural landscapes including white sand beaches, grottoes, and unique rock formations. The interior is lush and green with cultivated fields adding to its picturesque charm.
Iki Island is a paradise found in the southern Japan. If you go to Fukuoka, please do yourself a favor and take the trip to Iki Island. The island have numerous of movie-like beaches with clear water and white sand. The trip to Iki Island from Fukuoka is 2 hours with ferry or 1 hour with jetfoil. If you like beaches and need relaxation, i recommend 3-5 days. By car or scooter it's easy to get around the island. There are busses too, but they don't drive frequently. The locals don't speak english very well, but with apps it's easy to communicate as a foreigner. I think me and my girlfriend were the only non-japanese people on the island at the time, but we were treatet very good! By far the most amazing island I've been on, regarding beaches and nature.

Ghost of Tsushima brought me here IRL! The shrines, the windswept rice fields and the ragged coastline look just like they do in the game. The IRL Kojima shrine is just like the Nakajima Shrine in game, but in a slightly different location. I’ve posted the pictures side by side here. I even saw a fox shrine! The Iki museum is pretty and interesting but doesn’t have much on the Mongolian invasion. Also has some amazing sea urchin (only available in season) caught by the women divers of the island.

I came here after liberating tsushima, but then i got captured by a mongolian tribe woman leader called the eagle aka ahnksar khatun, but overall it's really good, and im friends with all raiders even they know im the butcher's son (Game Joke)

Great place, lost my horse but found it later on,I came from tsushima because my uncle kept talking about that i have no honor and stuff like that, met some raiders but eventually i gained their trust

Great place to visit. Totally recommended. Got me a piece of armour called sarugami, previously worn by the legendary pirate known as black hand riku. Shout out to my man, Kashira for telling me where to find it.
Inzamam G — Google review
me and the boys single handedly saved the island from the mongols and we destroyed their warship by hiding in their supply ship. 10/10 would do it again, too much monkeys though the island has cool glowing water and hidden caves with treasure and a delusional blind man with black hand guarding it

I love Iki.. I've never felt so far away from everything. There's a tiny island with a shrine that you can walk to during low tide. And Monkey Rock is a must-see, but I highly recommend you get there just before the sunset.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Tatsunoshima Island Sightseeing Cruise, a delightful journey that takes you through stunning coastal scenery and refreshing sea breezes. The cruise lasts about 40 minutes, leading you to the pristine shores of Tatsunoshima Island, where you'll be greeted by crystal-clear waters and beautiful white sand beaches. This uninhabited paradise is perfect for relaxation or exploration.
(Translated by Google) You can see a spectacular view! If you have time, you should definitely go on a sunny day and do both the sightseeing and landing, but if you have time, I recommend doing both the sightseeing and landing on Tatsunoshima. It was great to just stare at the coast and climb the mountain and enjoy the spectacular view. (Translated by Google) Visited in November 2024. It seems that you can park your car along the quay inside the fishing port. It looked cold, but I chose a seat in the back left on the second floor, which seemed to have a good view. On this day, the wind was strong and the waves were rough, so we couldn't follow the standard course, but we were able to see the cliffs and large rocks, and it was a pretty good cruise. What surprised me was that even though the waves were rough, anglers were fishing at the rocky shore. Fearful for anglers! Next time, I would like to land on Tatsunoshima Island when the weather is nice and explore the island.

(Translated by Google) July 31, 2025 A pleasure boat tour of Tatsunoshima Island. The calm, clear weather on board was truly pleasant, and the sea breeze felt almost unsweetening. The weather was so beautiful that day, we were able to see the crystal-clear emerald blue ocean near the island. Feeling it would be a waste to capture it all with my camera, I kept photography to a minimum and instead spent the rest of the trip experiencing a place you normally wouldn't be able to visit with all five senses, creating lasting memories. I recommend the second floor of the pleasure boat, where you can sit and enjoy the view. (Translated by Google) Cruising on Tatsunoshima took about 40 minutes, and we were satisfied with the dynamic scenery and feeling the refreshing sea breeze. Afterwards, you can land on the uninhabited island of Tatsunoshima. The clear beach looks great. On the way back, there was a regular ferry service, so I was able to return whenever I wanted. It was a Saturday in the first week of August, and the beach was crowded with tourists and families visiting the beach. There are seats on the cruiser, but many of the people who came later couldn't sit, so I thought it would be better to line up early. However, we arrived at Tatsunoshima in about 10 minutes, and for more than half of the trip we only took the ferry. For sightseeing, just board the boat and go around the island. For first-timers, we recommend a set with sightseeing.

I was able to see a wild hawk living in a large nest on Tatsunoshima Island. It looked like a hawk when I saw it fly. The sea was very clear and a light blue. I'd like to go again in the summer. Nagasakiken Ikishi Kojima Shrine is a sacred site enshrining Izanami no mikoto, Kagutsuchi no mikoto, Haniyasuhime no mikoto, and Susanowo no mikoto. Situated on a remote island in Iki Island, the shrine can only be accessed at low tide when the ocean recedes to reveal a path. Visitors are advised to wear sports shoes due to rocky areas and steep stairs leading to the shrine.
The Tori gate is accessible by walk during low tides, the view around is breathtaking. it can be seen well during high tide but if you are motorized, please visit again during low tide, the view is worth it.

Saruiwa, also known as Monkey Rock, is a famous landmark on Iki Island. This 45-meter high basalt rock is located in the western part of the island and is renowned for its unique shape that resembles a monkey. Situated at the tip of the Kurosaki Peninsula, Saruiwa offers breathtaking scenery with its massive monkey-like rock and beautiful vertical joints.
Our family trip to Monkey Rock on Iki Island was an unforgettable adventure. The journey began with a scenic drive through the lush, green landscapes of the island, setting the tone for a day filled with wonder and excitement. As we approached Monkey Rock, we were greeted by the striking rock formation resembling a monkey’s face, which instantly fascinated both the kids and adults. The area around Monkey Rock is rich in natural beauty, with stunning coastal views and vibrant, unspoiled nature. We spent the morning exploring the rocky shoreline, where the kids delighted in discovering tiny crabs and colorful sea creatures in the tide pools. The air was filled with the sound of waves crashing against the rocks and the distant calls of seabirds, creating a serene and captivating atmosphere. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in a nearby park, surrounded by the island’s unique flora. Sharing stories and laughter, we felt a deep sense of connection with each other and the natural world around us. In the afternoon, we hiked along one of the scenic trails, taking in the panoramic views of the ocean and the island’s rugged coastline. Our visit to Monkey Rock on Iki Island was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and family bonding, leaving us with cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for this beautiful corner of the world.

The most iconic spot in Iki Island. The rock indeed looks like a monkey with his back and his head looking to the left side. There are also a parking lot, a souvenir shop and a toilet here. Free entrance, no tickets, so it is worth for pictures. But other than that, there’s nothing much to do. I visited this place on May 17 at around 5:30 PM, but there was no one here. I guess the reason was that it was still not peak season and was quite late. The sky was gloomy on thay day. Only the rock surprised me cuz it really does resemble a monkey, though the sea view was like “meh…” to me. I think the sea view would have been beautiful if it had been sunny.

Cycled from the port. There are some nice bays along the way. definitely looks like a primate, we were having a discussion on which one. Nice park with plenty of parking there's a small store and a great smoothie caravan which was perfect after our ride. Just before park is the old gun emplacement.

Great attraction, and fun drive to get there. We arrived late afternoon, so the monkey was backlit by the sun, which made it a little difficult to see. It looked as if the monkey was looked at the sun, which was fun.

Iki Island offers a diverse range of attractions, including the captivating Dolphin Park. This park is perfect for families with children, offering an interactive experience where visitors can feed and pet dolphins in a natural and spacious environment. The park also features a mini-museum for added fun and education. While there are no dolphin shows currently, guests can still enjoy the opportunity to interact closely with these beautiful creatures during feeding times. The knowledgeable staff provide guidance in English, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Visiting Dolphins Park on Iki Island with my children was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the excitement was palpable. The park’s serene coastal setting, surrounded by lush greenery and the sparkling sea, immediately set a relaxing yet thrilling tone for our day. My children’s faces lit up as we approached the dolphin pools, their enthusiasm contagious. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the dolphin show. Watching these magnificent creatures perform intricate tricks and interact with the trainers was mesmerizing. My kids were in awe, clapping and cheering with every leap and splash. We also had the opportunity to participate in a dolphin encounter program, where we could touch and feed the dolphins. The sheer joy on my children's faces as they petted the dolphins was priceless. Beyond the dolphin interactions, we explored the park’s other attractions, including the informative marine life exhibits and a scenic boat ride that offered breathtaking views of Iki Island’s coastline. The park staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Spending this fun-filled day with my children at Dolphins Park was a perfect blend of adventure, learning, and bonding that we will cherish forever.

Friendly staff. There a playground and a sitting area. You can feed dolphins, get in water with them or just touch them for a fee. There nothing else to do so we spent only about thirty minutes there while we waited our turn. They have a few times they do a small show. There a pebble rock beach right next to it that we enjoyed with kids after.

Ondake Shrine, located on a mountain in Iki, offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding scenery from its observation deck. The shrine is dedicated to Saruhiko, the Great God, and features numerous stone monkeys and cows both inside and outside. Visitors can also find an energy stone within the shrine, believed to possess a unique magnetic field. Although currently fenced off for safety reasons, visitors can still take a leisurely stroll around the shrine to rejuvenate their spirits.

There is a stark contrast between the power of the cliffs and the quiet atmosphere where you can hear the pleasant sound of the waves. There is also a beautifully maintained observation deck, so I thought I'd like to eat some rice balls here. Purple sea urchin fishing is carried out nearby from early May to mid-June. Sumiyoshi Shrine, which recently held its first visit of the year, is known for its vibrant atmosphere and active participation from visitors. Despite the late hour of 3 o'clock in the morning, people were joyfully engaged in activities such as selling amulets and omikuji. The presence of music added to the overall positive experience. Each year, Sumiyoshi Shrine opens a store around 11 o'clock that attracts many people.
Very nice Shrine, to visit if you are in Iki. There is a big free parking just next to the shrine.

(Translated by Google) Stopped by during a trip to Iki. It's one of Japan's four great Sumiyoshi shrines, and also known as the first Sumiyoshi shrine in Japan. The grounds, surrounded by giant trees, had an atmosphere befitting a historic shrine. These komainu statues are charming, with unique facial features and a lack of understanding. Isn't it also unusual that they're made of marble? Other than that, for your reference: ■Sumiyoshi Shrine (May 4, 2024) Engi-ni-sha (Shikinaisha) (Meishin Taisha) Former Shrine Status: Kokuhei Chusha Enshrined Deity: Sumiyoshi-no-Okami ・Sokotsutsuno-no-Mikoto ・Nakatsutsuno-no-Mikoto ・Uwatsutsuno-no-Mikoto According to the shrine's legend, Empress Jingu, who conquered the Three Kingdoms under the protection of Sumiyoshi-no-Okami, landed at Oura-sato in Gonoura-cho, Iki City, on her way back and enshrined the three deities (hence the name "Japan's first Sumiyoshi Shrine"). Subsequently, by divine revelation, it was relocated to its current location. In the Engishiki Jinmyo-cho (Cho of Shinto Shrines in the Engishiki), it is listed as a Myojin Taisha. It also claims to be the leading shrine in Nagasaki Prefecture. In May 1871 (Meiji 4), it was ranked as a Kokuhei Chusha, making it the only official shrine in Iki. It is so famous that it is known as one of the "Four Great Sumiyoshi Shrines of Japan," alongside Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine in Osaka and Sumiyoshi Shrines in Shimonoseki and Fukuoka. Every December, the Dai-dai Kagura dance, which marks the finale of the Iki Kagura dance, is dedicated here, attracting many tourists to see this 700-year-old national important intangible cultural property. It is also said that men will be blessed with good fortune in love if they walk around the "Couple Camphor Trees" on the shrine grounds in a counterclockwise direction, and women in a clockwise direction. (Translated by Google) It is a second shrine in Iki Province, and it seems to be a shrine listed as a Meishin Taisha in the Engishiki. The deities enshrined are Sochoashihime no Mikoto, Ashinakahiko no Mikoto, and the great deity of Sumiyoshi. The Princess of Long Legs is Empress Jingu, whose posthumous name is Chinese, and it is said that she waited for the wind in the bay of Katsumoto before she was born during the Sankan Conquest. It is said that the place was named Kazehaya because a good wind blew across Korea, and that it was named Fumoto because it was the base of the wind, and that it was given the name Katsumoto when he returned triumphant after winning the Sanhan Conquest. This shrine of Our Lady was built on the site of the shrine that was built when she waited for the wind. Ashinakahiko no Mikoto was Emperor Chuai, but he died because he doubted the conquest of the Three Koreas, which was God's intention. Therefore, the two people who stayed in Katsumoto were Sōnagaashihime no Mikoto and his senior vassal Takeuchi Sukune (some say the same as Sumiyoshi Okami), and Emperor Chuai did not come to Iki. Yahata-style shrines often enshrine Honda Besson (Emperor Ojin), so I think the shrine of the Virgin Mary is rare. Kato Kiyomasa and Nabeshima Naoshige donated stone walls and gates to this shrine, and it can be said that it is an amazing place as a historical site. I learned a lot from the Shinto priest who very carefully explained the origin and showed me the main shrine. That's a blessing. revisit Considering that I went on the Sanhan Conquest from here and that Toi and Yuan were located nearby, I understood the historical importance of this area.

Many shrines in Iki, where the sea breeze blows strongly, have their main shrines protected by covered roofs, and this shrine of Our Lady is similar, but if you ask at the shrine office, you can take a closer look at the brightly colored main shrine with commentary. Located between Japan and the continent, this shrine is deeply connected to major events in Japanese history such as the Sanhan Conquest, the Mongol Invasion, and the Conquest of Korea, making it a shrine recommended for both shrine and temple lovers and history buffs. Near the horseshoe stone of Empress Jingu on horseback, there is a stone monument marking the landing place of the Mongol invaders. Many military commanders came to pray during the Korean conquest, and the front gate was donated by Lord Kato Kiyomasa and the back gate was donated by Lord Nabeshima Naoshige. The stone walls around the precincts are said to have been built by Kiyomasa. It would be crazy to travel all the way to Iki to worship here, but since it is not far from Saruiwa, Iki's number one tourist spot, it is a shrine that I highly recommend if you visit it at the same time.

Harunotsuji Ruins, located in the Restored Imperial Capital Park on Ikinoshima, are a significant heritage site from the Yayoi era. Regarded as one of Japan's important historical sites, it is designated as a special historical site by the government. The ruins were identified as the royal capital of "Ikkoku" and are preserved with restoration facilities showcasing shaft-type houses and stilt-type houses.
(Translated by Google) Visiting the castle on February 5, 2025 Together with the Yoshinogari ruins and the Toro ruins, it is one of the three special historic sites that symbolize the Yayoi period. This is the only ruin where the location of the country's name and the country's royal capital mentioned in the Gishiwajinden is known. There is a moat, a shrine, a raised-pit dwelling, a lookout, and finally, a king's residence! This is a must-see spot if you go to Iki. Definitely worth a visit for history buffs! It is wide only because it is a heritage specific to the royal capital of one branch country. Scattered throughout the ruins are the residences of the rulers, the halls of envoys from the continent, warehouses for grain, goods, and ritual goods, watchtowers, and guard houses. Excavations have revealed that this was a royal capital during the Yayoi period, and buildings such as ritual facilities, the royal palace, and an observation tower have been restored. The topography and layout of the buildings are interesting as it has been restored to the ruins of that time. There was also a warehouse on stilts, indicating that Kuni was a wealthy country. Very stunning place and worth visiting. Huge areas of green grass like a park. Standing on the cliffs, looking far beyond the sea, and feeling the fresh breeze was such a great vibe for me. There are rocks that have different shapes: one resembles a devil’s footprint, another resembles a gorilla, and the other looks like a frog. The only drawback is that there are garbage in the devil’s footprint. The management authority should have cleaned it. The gorilla and frog rocks may look exactly like what they are described based on each person’s imagination. But still, a worth place to visit cuz the entrance is free, no tickets.

Kuyoshihama Beach offers a serene and uncrowded environment, perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. It is a popular spot for surfing enthusiasts. While there are no marine activities available, this means less noise and a more peaceful atmosphere. However, lifeguards are vigilant due to the potential risks involved. It is important to adhere to any warnings given, even if they may seem exaggerated as safety should be the priority.

(Translated by Google) I came to Kuyoshihama Beach in early November! The coast in Iki is beautiful no matter when you look at it! The blue skies (excluding drifting debris) are beautiful, and the sea is incredibly transparent. Seagulls are flying nearby, and crows are playing in the water of the stream that flows into the shore. In the summer, it must have been crowded with beachgoers. There is also a shower facility 🚿, and there is no charge to use it, but it says cold water, but it's convenient 😊!! ️The coastline is long, about 400m or more. It looks like a passenger ship that just left Ashibe Port 🚢? was anchored offshore. Visitors have been surprised and excited to discover this unique rock formation and have even tried capturing its image to share with others. The park also features demon footprints nearby, adding to its allure.

Hakusa Hachiman Shrine, located in Iki Province, is a prestigious shrine enshrining Ojin Tenno and 6 other gods. (Translated by Google) In mid-June, I visited Shirasa Hachiman Shrine, one of the seven highly prestigious shrines in Iki Province. If you cross the jogging course in the Fureai Plaza near the beach and head toward the large torii gate on the side of the large parking lot, you will reach a shrine in the guardian forest. It is said that in the past, people were prohibited from entering the sacred forest. The highlight here is the board paintings of 36 poets pasted on the ceiling, dedicated by Shigenobu Matsuura, the lord of Hirado in the Edo period. Only 18 poets were photographed. Since you can walk in a straight line from the shrine to the sea, it may be related to the ritual of removing the tide for purification at festivals. The last thing I noticed is that mold has grown between the board painting and the transparent plastic board, making it very valuable. I think it would be better to take measures such as replacing exhibits with replicas to prevent damage to historical materials. Went here on May 18th. It was sunny and the temperature was 20°C, but not that high for swimming, so the beach was empty. The sand was very soft, and the water was crystal clear. There’s a parking lot and a bathroom also. Since May is not a peak season here, there’s no café or food bar, but they will open between July and August. Though, I still prefer this quiet and empty vibe. The beach lies next to Iki Airport, so sometimes you will hear the jet engines roaring.

I wasn't originally planning to come, but after doing some research and finding out that it was possible to do sightseeing from Fukue Island in half a day, I decided to come. You can tour the chapel by making a reservation in advance, and the management will give you an explanation. Currently, there are no believers nearby and mass is held on a patrol basis. The church has a raised floor to avoid moisture, and features hand-painted wood grain patterns on the pillars and clear glass with flower designs on the windows. The shape of the flower seems to be likened to a ``cross.'' Also, unlike other cathedrals, there is no cross. It is said that the reason for this is that the cross was not attached to the roof because of the strong winds in this area. It is said that behind the church you can see a cross that appears as a watermark in the morning sunlight, but now the trees are growing and the time when light can reach it is limited. I thought it was wonderful that you showed me the photos you took in the past. In the plaza in front of the cathedral, ``Soraami'' created by Shima Project Art was displayed. The captivating Japanese hidden treasure, 辰ノ島海岸, presents a challenging journey as one must board a small boat from the northern side of Iki island. However, once you secure your boat ticket and embark on this tour, an enchanting experience awaits. The amiable crew of the vessel provides insightful explanations about the unique rock formations and shares fragments of local legends.
Choose the plan to join the tour and walk the island. There are places that can’t be reached by foot. But there are also ancient trails that takes 30 mins to 1 hour to go around, some hidden shrines. Cute deers too, hiding in the mountains

Amazing Japanese hidden treasure! Go to this island is not really easy, you have to take the boat from the north of Iki island, but once you get your boat ticket, you will enjoy. The boat going there is a small one, with a very friendly crew, you should book for the tour (it's really a must). The crew will explain you the shape of rocks and a part of the legend of the places. After that let's arrive to the dock on the island, once there, enjoy the crystal sea, the white sand beach and overall the peaceful silence. IT IS AMAZING!

(Translated by Google) The ferry ride from Katsumoto Port took less than 10 minutes. From the moment I got off the boat, I was struck by the blue, or rather, the emerald green. August is bigfin reef squid birthing season, and we were greeted by baby squid. It's about a 10-minute walk to the beach. It's a straight path, so there's no need to worry about getting lost, but there are some rocks, so please be careful if using a stroller or other wheeled vehicle. It was low tide on this day, but at high tide, the sea apparently reaches right up to the beach hut. Even though it was the middle of the August season, there were only two or three groups of guests, so we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Cup ramen and other items are available for purchase at the beach hut. Climbing up behind the beach hut, you'll find the impressive "Jagatani" valley, which is truly impressive! If you head higher, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree view. The path above Jagatani is narrow and unstable, so it's not recommended for small children. Adults only, please enjoy! After that, it was destroyed by the Mongol invasion, and its whereabouts are unknown. The current Amante Nagao Shrine is a small shrine that was previously called ``Wakamiya'' in the Edo period, and was compared by Miki Tachibana, a Japanese scholar of the Hirado domain, to the Amote Nagao Shrine of Meishin Taisha. ) is a thing. Miki deduced that Amante Nagao Shrine was located in Tanaka-no-shi, based on the place name ``Tanakao'' where the shrine is located. He then entered the Shiroyama bamboo thicket in Tanaka, dug out a divine mirror and two stone statues of Maitreya Nyorai, and built a stone shrine to enshrine them. The shrine building was built in 1688 by order of the Matsuura feudal lord. Furthermore, many of the estimates of Miki's Shikinaisha are based on place names, which is questionable in current research. Regarding Amante Nagao Shrine, there is a Ko Shrine in Yugaku Kotaku, Ashibe Town, and Ko is thought to refer to the Kokufu (Kou), and there is also Iki Kuni Soja Shrine within the shrine precincts, so it is likely that Ko Shrine was the original shrine. In Iki, the traditional Kaiin-ji temple was named Ankoku-ji Temple, and the temple was founded by Zen Master Muin Genaki of Kyoto's Nanzen-ji Temple. Ancient Ruins
According to historical accounts, Toyotomi Hideyoshi successfully constructed Katsumoto Castle within four months while deploying troops to Korea. Positioned atop a hill that offers breathtaking views of Katsumoto Port and Tsushima, the castle's remarkable stone wall, known as Hideyoshi's stone wall, still stands resolutely near the summit. Although the base of the mountain is showing signs of deterioration, a portion of the castle ruins has been transformed into a park for public enjoyment.

Satohama Beach is a hidden gem that offers visitors a tranquil escape with its stunning emerald waters, reminiscent of the renowned Tatsunoshima. However, it's important to note that there are no lifeguards on duty, so swimming is at your own risk.

Great looking beach, although there's a lot of trash on it and in the water. However, if you can ignore the trash the beach itself is beautiful. There were also freshwater showers and foot washing areas, and these facilities were fairly well maintained, so you could wash off the salt water and sand after swimming. However, the beach is unmanned and there are no lifeguards, so you're doing so at your own risk. It's also disappointing that the beach isn't properly managed, as there's a lot of rubbish washed up on the shoreline, unpicked. (Translated by Google) I stayed at a nearby guesthouse, so I headed out before sunrise. Since it faces east, I expected the sunrise to be beautiful, but...it's mysterious. Clouds often appear near the sea, but on this day there were no clouds and it was beautiful. I could see the Genkai nuclear power plant across the beautiful sea (^^; (Original) 近くの民宿に泊まったので、日の出前に出かけてみました。東に面しているので日の出が綺麗だろうと予想していましたが......神秘的です。海面際には雲が出ることが多いですが、この日は雲もなく綺麗でした。 綺麗な海の向こうに玄海原発が見えました(^^;

(Translated by Google) My favorite place. A sandy beach road appears at low tide. Waves crash against the sandy road from two directions. The rugged basalt rocks and beach scenery will make you feel like you're on an adventure. It's a beach that you can't help but visit. However, it is a pity that it is not barrier-free. This is a scenery that I would like many people to see. (Translated by Google) Park your car and head down the road to Taro Retsuku Jiro Retsuku. The road is well maintained, making it easy to walk. There are cute flowers in bloom, so try to find them. There is a small river along the way. Proceed carefully. Soon, a spectacular view awaits. The wind was calm and the weather was nice that day, so we could see Tsushima. There are two large stones that give Taro Retsuku Jiro Retsuku its name. It's recommended to take a photo with them! There is no parking lot, but there is space for 2-3 cars. The origin of the name Taro Retsuku Jiro Retsuku is interesting, so be sure to look into it.

It's a little dangerous here, but the scenery is very nice, so why not go there along with Saruiwa?

(Translated by Google) Why on the island of Iki are there no fences or warning signs everywhere? No matter how you look at it, it's a sheer cliff, and even though you can go that far, there are no fences, so do everything at your own risk. This scenic spot on the road from Saruiwa to the Village of Encounter is not even listed in guidebooks, but it's actually recommended! Get close to the cliff. Sakyo-bana is also a spectacular view, but the view here when you stick your head out and look down is also amazing. It's an unassuming place at first glance, with just two large round rocks that are said to be part of an old demon legend, but it's hard to capture this spectacular view in photos, so if you have the chance, go check it out!

I thought it would move when I pressed it, but it didn't budge. After all, I feel like Taro is closer to the sea and more rugged. (Translated by Google) There are many Onigashima legends left in Iki, and this is one of them. It is said that long ago, when the demons in Iki fought against Yuriwaka Minister, they fought back by throwing huge stones, and the stone that Oni Taro and Jiro left behind instead of throwing them was said to be Taro Reki Jiro Reki. I am. One theory is that Taro and Jiro threw this stone, but Yuriwaka Minister bounced it back with a fan. It's a story that makes you want to believe it when you see a stone about 1 meter in diameter placed on a cliff facing the sea. By the way, I don't know which of these two stones is Taro Peki and which is Jiro Peki. Nearby are the famous Saruiwa, Abo Falls, the Kurosaki Battery Ruins, and the Iki Encounter Village, so it's a good idea to take a leisurely stroll.
