Gardens
Nestled in the heart of Dothan, Alabama, the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens (DABG) is a peaceful oasis spanning 50 acres of meticulously maintained gardens. Established as a non-profit organization in 1991, this enchanting botanical haven comprises 24 distinct areas interconnected by paved trails, with most sections accessible to disabled visitors. One of its highlights is the Southern Heirloom Garden, dedicated to preserving historical seeds and plants such as Confederate Jasmine and old rose varieties.
A phenomenal outing. We have gone here for Christmas, Halloween, and now Easter. They always have great decorations and things to see and do. The pond is great because the fish, turtles, and critters come right up to the edge to see if you have food. The turtles will literally come up on the grass to grab food. My great grand wanted to take a picture with every egg there, lol. The butterfly garden was awesome! They have a gift shop as well.

Absolutely beautiful gardens to explore. Some areas would be full sun, other areas are shaded by trees. The pathways are paved for accessibility. There is a small play area for children. I love the lock gate - I wished we had known about that before arriving because I totally would have added one for us. We did get caught in the rain, but we waited out the worst of it in a little gazebo near the wedding garden. The butterfly garden was closed due to the weather, but there was plenty to see even missing that. Restrooms were clean. Admission price is very reasonable.

Wonderful and cozy garden in Southern Alabama. It also has a butterfly greenhouse where you can walk around with a sugar stick for them to land on. A big variety of plants and birds. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

We had a great time at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens, especially during the Scarecrows in the Gardens exhibition. The scarecrows were creative and fun to find—our kids loved spotting their favorites along the paths. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful, and very family-friendly. There's a dedicated children’s area, wide open paths, and plenty of space to explore without feeling crowded. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy the day. It’s a perfect spot for a calm, outdoor family outing—especially during seasonal events like this one!

It was a little buggy but I didn't put anything on because I didn't want to deter the butterflies! Beautiful gardens and a bunch of beautiful seating areas perfect for pictures!! Also has a playground for your littles 😊 $5 admission, $3 extra for the butterfly house.
Brandy Y — Google review
We needed a small excursion and found this gem. The price was perfect and so was the venue. We can see the garden is a work in progress so come open minded. Wings of wonder was lovely!
Teresa G — Google review
this garden is a great place to spend an afternoon! i spent the extra $3 to go to the butterfly garden and it was well worth it!! i spent quite a while in there admiring and holding the butterflies. the gardens are beautiful as well, definitely not the biggest botanical garden but well worth it, especially for the price.

Our first visit to the wonderful Botanical Gardens and Butterfly experience! It was such nice day just enjoying everything there, and so quiet and very peaceful, without too many people.

Landmark Park is a 135-acre serene park in Dothan, Alabama, offering a glimpse into the past with its 19th-century living history farm, planetarium, and nature trails. Families can enjoy playgrounds, picnic areas, and historic buildings such as a functioning 1890s farmstead, one-room schoolhouse, general store, and church from around 1900.
We had an amazing time at the park today! The people who work at the planetarium and the drug store are so sweet and friendly. They really want you to have a wonderful time and love to share their knowledge with you. The area is so beautiful and full of history. There's tons of people of all ages. I would recommend everyone to go visit.
Victoria D — Google review
Enjoyed a peaceful winter morning walking around the property. While some of the exhibits like the general store were closed, enough was open and of interest to make it well worth the $5 admission. I could see packing a lunch and spending a full day when the weather is nicer.
Kat — Google review
Absolutely loved my time here at Landmark Park with my wife and nieces! It was a little hot, but the boardwalk had plenty of shade and break spots (but watch your head for spiders!). Service in the "drug store" was fantastic and the ice cream was even better. Highly recommend for a families or couples wanting to see some nature and old homestead equipment!
Graym B — Google review
I really enjoy coming to this park, it is incredibly well maintained and in the past couple years they have really built it up and expanded it. And it seems like some of the staff has been here for years and they are absolutely wonderful. I've been to many of the old houses they have here several times, but I still like to go inside and take a look. Even though nothing changes with them. They have a little general store there with old-timey fountain, sodas and floats with ice cream. The general store also has this very strong ginger ale that is just so wonderful to drink and if you are a fan of ginger ale then you should give this stuff a shot. Today they had a bluegrass and BBQ festival and it was really great. I had a good time listening to the bluegrass music, however, I think next time it would be great if they could get a real barbecue company to come in and do some local barbecue like Smokey Joe's. I think the barbecue they had may have been store-bought but I do not know that 100%. That's just what it tasted like. It was still fine though. There are some bees if you're exiting towards Hartford highway, however, the bees here just seem to be a little bit more aggressive than what I'm used to working with, I seem to always get stung at several times, even just viewing from 15 or 20 ft. Entry to this place is only $7 and there is so much to do, it is definitely worth the visit by yourself or with a family.
Jeremy B — Google review
Shame on the management of this facility for allowing such mistreatment of the animals living here. Something needs to be done immediately about the living conditions of these poor animals. How can you host showings of snakes when one of them just passed away from your neglect? How can you host field trips from local schools to this facility when the animals they come to visit are living in such disgusting conditions? Most of these animal’s enclosures are accumulating layers of feces and urine. Most of the chickens, a donkey, & a snake has passed away due to your negligence! For these helpless animals to be forced to live this is way is abuse.
Lulu H — Google review
Love love love this place. My kids bought so many gem stones and rocks. They pack it with a little card that gives a description. Our fav thing to do is the planetarium. The trail on the bridge is so much fun as well

A great park that meshes nature and the sicience and history of farming with educational opportunities. There is an excellent event barn and plenty of space for fairs.

An amazing interactive piece of history. Be transported to another era and get a feel for a way of life very far removed from our modern world. Fun for the whole family as well as educational.

Park
Water World in Westgate Park is a perfect place to beat the heat in Dothan, Alabama. The park offers a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. Tadpole Hole provides kid-friendly water activities, while older kids and adults can enjoy the Rip Tide Wave Pool with its impressive 3-foot waves. In addition to the wave pool, there are slides, an arcade, and a lazy river for relaxation. The park also features refurbished bathrooms and picnic facilities for added convenience.
What a great place, the lines were pretty short. Coolers are allowed which is a huge plus. We didn't have to pay 10.00 for a bottle of water. 5 slides, one uses tubes "great white." It's fun. Nothing too violent for kids. The wave pool was nice as long as dumb people didn't try to drown one another in it taking the attention from the life guards for children that might need their attention. Closed the rides when lighting was in the area but as soon as it was gone they were all back open very fast. Most of the stuff was great. Just like everywhere there were a few that hate their job but what place doesn't have that. They should give the life guards the power to put some of these kids in time out or something, parents no where in sight while their kids do as they please, wait their parents were probably the ones trying to drown one another in the pool... 🤣

My son wanted to go to water world for his 11th birthday on Sunday. We (myself, my friend and two sons) went today since weather has been unpredictable. I wanted to give a shout out to all the amazing LIFEGUARDS today!!! We got to the park early and it was very calm. Not too many people and lots of space for swimming and talking. Within the last couple hours of being there I watched several lifeguards dive in a save several unsupervised kids. On many different occasions the wave pool was stopped due to unsupervised children panicking and barely able to keep their heads above water. Your lifeguards never missed a beat! We left shortly after 3. Very busy at that time and a little chaotic. Would give 5 stars but food was not that good, I believe they were having issues with the oven but found that out after I paid $40 for a pizza and cinnamon wheel. Staff for food were very friendly and apologetic.

We had a blast here while we were visiting friends. Kids loved the slides and food was pretty good
Kylee H — Google review
Overall had a very good experience. The lines for the various slides, we're fairly short. The park attendees, we're very pleasant to deal with the food was full. Good prices were good. Entry fee was very reasonable. Only complaint that I have where there were several locker stations that were out of service.
Ryan G — Google review
We have gone to this water park twice and had a great time both days. Coming in the morning (10) to around 1 it is a lot less crowded. The child area has a multitude of activities for children of all ages. The water slides are thrilling. The lifeguards are amazing, very well trained and constantly vigilant. The food prices aren’t terrible, but we did bring a cooler. You are allowed to being outside food and drinks, as well as chairs. We rented a cabana ($75 dollars for the “basic” one as pictured) but there are plenty of lounge chairs in all the different areas. Overall great place.
Zadie W — Google review
My family and I had an amazing time! From the fun wave pool to the slides and the kid area , everything was super clean and well taken care of! The staff were friendly , helpful , and made sure everyone was safe and having fun. I feel this is the perfect place for family and friends, kids of all ages to join! We will be back next summer ❤️
Karessa — Google review
I was there with my daughter and grandkids and had a wonderful time. I did lose a gold toe ring that’s black onyx. It has looks like a pair of sunglasses that I wish somebody would’ve turned in. They was. It was my mother‘s toe ring, but we had a good time if anybody reports it or does know anything about it please contact me.
Apriljo W — Google review
Gotta love a city owned water park. Free parking, allowed to bring in food and drinks, entry fee is reasonable, and a great place for the family. The concession stand has easy to make food and it arrives fast basic theme park options on the menu. We always rent a cabana since added to the park. Definitely worth the price and bit of privacy pool side. Great place to relax in town on the weekends during the summer. If visiting definitely a place to visit while here get out together and have some fun in the sun and water. Wonderful water rides have been added to enhance the fun or scare the heck out of your hubby who thinks rides are still for him god bless him for trying to hang with our kids who most definitely on the rides every time we go. We always enjoy ourselves and continue to go and support this wonderful city owned attraction. More cities should take a page out of this book it's better to let the city own then outsiders any day hence the no parking fee, allowed to bring food, and reasonable prices. Citizens support it and are excited to continue to use this wonderful source of family fun right here in Dothan.

Adventureland Theme Park in Dothan, Alabama is a family-friendly destination offering a wide range of activities for both kids and adults. With attractions like go-karts, bumper boats, batting cages, and mini-golf, the park has been entertaining visitors for over twenty years. The giant arcade features a variety of exciting games to enjoy. Whether you're seeking thrilling rides or leisurely activities, Adventureland has something for everyone.
The owners, management, and staff are so kind and helped meet any need that arose quickly and efficiently. The kids all loved the Back to School Bash at Adventureland and are ready to go back again ASAP. The group packages and choices for catering are a wonderful addition to the park amenities. If you are looking for team building or family gun, Adventureland is the place to party!

My almost adult children enjoyed only two go-kart rides before wanting to leave. The very tall gentleman at the counter was very pleasant. I'm happy we stopped by. He chatted about where we to visit while at Panama Beach --- Thank you!!!

The pavilion that was recently built was awesome for parties. Our hostess ,Kennedy was great. She made the party flow seamlessly . She was really great with kids. Very happy with our experience . Love all the updates being done! Kids can't wait to go back!
Shelley P — Google review
My husband and I came for a quick, fun outing — just the two of us — and had a blast being big kids for a while. For only $20, we got one round of bumper boats, mini golf, go-karts, and 20 arcade tokens. We also paid an extra $8 for five batting cage tokens, with each one giving 20 pitches. Overall, it was a fun little spot to pop in and enjoy some lighthearted competition. Just a heads-up, bring bug spray! The bugs were no joke. 😩 Only downside was the arcade. The games went by really fast and barely gave out any tickets, which made that part feel a little underwhelming. Still, for the price? Totally worth it. We’d definitely go again, and next time, we’ll probably bring the kids along too.
Cachet — Google review
My wife and I stopped here today after lunch and played a round of mini golf. It was a lot of fun for $20. The course is laid out nicely. Some shade to sit in if you had a wait between holes. Cool scenery to check out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had our son’s birthday party at Adventureland yesterday, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was such a relief to only have to show up with the cake because everything else was taken care of. The new outdoor pavilions are SO nice!! Chloe was our party host and she did an amazing job. We had 7 rowdy boys and she remained cool calm and collected and had fun with them! Brooke stayed in touch from the time I booked until the day of the party and made sure every detail was perfect. When we had a little technical trouble on our end with payment, Fran was so helpful in getting it figured out. Every single person we interacted with was kind, respectful, and professional. I definitely recommend Adventureland for hosting a party or just spending time playing the park. It is so much fun! 🎉
Taylor M — Google review
Adventureland Theme Park in Dothan is a great spot for families, just a street off the main strip with lots of parking and plenty to do. We enjoyed the arcade and bumper boats, and there’s even more to explore like mini golf, batting cages, bumper cars, and more. We’d rate our experience 4 out of 5 stars. The pricing is fair, with a variety of daily deals that make it easy to enjoy on a budget. Most of the arcade games are claw or coin fall machines, which are perfect for older kids, though there’s a bit less available for younger ones. One thing that could be improved: Everything is loaded onto a game card, which wasn’t clearly explained. It was easy enough to figure out, but a quick heads-up from staff would really help new guests avoid confusion. Staff were generally friendly, but they tended to gather and chat in one area, which led to a few guests waiting for assistance. A simple pause in conversation to help guests would really elevate the customer experience. Also, a posted map of the park near the entrance or counter would be a great addition to help visitors navigate without having to ask lots of questions. All in all, it’s a fun and affordable place to spend the day, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Can say enough. Literally the easiest party I’ve ever thrown and my oldest is 18. The host stays with you from beginning to end to help with the kids that was a life saver .. they cleaned up the room while we played golf and just had to come in and collect our items. So much fun

Non-profit organization
The Wiregrass Museum of Art, located in the historic former water and power plant in downtown Dothan, Alabama, offers a captivating experience for art enthusiasts. The museum showcases rotating exhibits and permanent contemporary art collections, with a focus on artworks on paper. Visitors can explore diverse exhibitions featuring pieces from the early 20th century to the present day.
It had been a while since I've been to this museum, maybe over 15 years. I stopped by to check out the exhibits and I was impressed. This building is incredibly clean and well maintained. They had a lot of great art there. Even though it's a very small building. There is a little bit of something for everybody, and I'm really glad that I stopped by. The security guard and the lady that were at the museum today were very friendly and very helpful. There is so much great art here and you should stop by if you are in the area because it would only take about 30 minutes or so to see everything.
Jeremy B — Google review
This free art museum in the heart of Dothan combines permanent and rotating exhibits in a historic brick building. The small gift shop features books, prints, and various items featuring the slogan "art elevates the everyday." While construction was still ongoing at the time of my visit, making it awkward to get in and out of the parking lot, it was well worth the trip, especially with the friendly, welcoming staff waiting just inside the doors.

The Art Museum is mine and my daughter's favorite place to hang out. The space is quiet and has an open and modern yet historic feel to it. The curators do such a wonderful job of bringing in new exhibits regularly. WMA is such a wonderful and vibrant representation of southeastern art, culture, and history.

Folklore Brewing & Meadery is a hidden gem located on an old family farm in the backwoods of southern Alabama. Despite its unassuming appearance, this brewery offers fantastic craft beers that reflect the area's regional brewing culture and Southern traditions. As Dothan's first packaging brewery since Prohibition, Folklore Brewing & Meadery is a family-owned business with a passion for creating great-tasting beer.
Terrific varieties of beer & mead (yummy), delicious New Orleans style food and fellowship! Seating inside or out, both dog friendly. If you are visiting the area or live locally, it’s a must try. If you RV, it’s a great Harvest Host location.

Every beverage on our flight was Perfect! Music by Tommy Shilds was memorable. As the crowd thinned out, Tommy bought his guitar fireside to finish the last set and visit with remaining guest - so enjoyable. The Brewmaster was on sight visiting with guests - Great guy, very personable, true passion for the craft. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Onsight food service and friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out! If you have camper, call the Brewery and reserve one of there limited spaces.

Second visit to Folklore. They are growing! More beers, more options for eats. Nice folks, they care about your experience and every person we dealt with was really nice. There's a disc golf basket and great outdoor seating. We'll be back!

Fantastic staff. Beer is absolutely incredible. So many types and varieties. I'm not a beer drinker but they had a selser called grape pop. OMG, you could get in serious trouble with that. Tastes like fanta. Monday through Wednesday they have bar food which is okay but not great. Full kitchen on the weekends and the menu looks great. They do a good keg business. Lots of locals drop by for a glass. Super dog friendly. We will definitely be back. Big shout out to Uncle Kenny for making us feel so welcome.

Great local Brewery with a selection of all your basic beers: blonde, pilsner, ipa, Porter, and Mead. I'm not a big fan of mead, so I can't tell you much other than it's sweet and has higher alcohol. They brew a good basic beer here, but really need to start brewing a hazy! Occasionally they mix their beers for a seasonal selection, and once in awhile have a wild hair Brew. Good out of the city, comfortable outdoor sitting place. Have music and games and many other things too. Another year has gone by, and they are still just as good as they were when they opened over 10 years ago. Each year they add something more to their outdoor area and continue to make it a nice place to hang out. In this day of everything going up 30%, their beers are still affordable. UPDATE!! They finally have a Hazy!! And it is A bad ass!!! Super tasty, hoppy (but not heavy), and hi ABV 7.7%!! Hopefully they will come out with a lower ABV so I can drink more than just one, maybe two! LOL... UPDATE #3, they had a milder hazy for a while and it too was delicious, hopefully one of them will become a regular.UPDATE#5: the food area has expanded its menu and is really good

Loveee the live music + vibes here! Kid friendly, pet friendly. Blueberry lemonade mead is delicious! Also went here for a sip + paint! Good date night place!

A local gem. The beer list is creative and well-crafted, with something for every taste, from smooth lagers to bold seasonal brews. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, making it the perfect spot to hang out with friends or meet new people. You can tell the team behind Folklore cares deeply about the community and the craft.

Great beer, prices are very fair! Darn I forgot to take pictures of the food, it was good. Best of all it's a harvest host. We stayed the night in our 5th wheel $15 for electric. Quiet, very gracious host. Definitely recommend stopping by for some food and refreshments! There is even a great outdoor space for adults and the kids. Dogs are welcome. A terrific experience all around!!!!

This skating rink is a fantastic destination! With an inviting atmosphere and a playlist full of kid-friendly tunes, it’s the perfect spot for family fun. Plus, there’s a great selection of arcade games to keep everyone entertained, along with satisfying food options to fuel your adventures. Don't miss out on this wonderful experience!.

I haven’t been here, literally in decades but I brought my boys on a hot day when visiting Dothan. They had a good time. The soft play seems smaller than it used to be. We didn’t do laser tag or the arcade but the had fun skating. There were a few parties going on but there was still plenty of space and time for my boys to enjoy themselves. My only complaint was the explicit version of a song being played midday during the week with 80% of patrons being kids under 16.

As an adult who used to roller skate every Friday night as a kid, this brought it back! What a great time! I loved it, my kids loved it, it was clean, reasonably priced, and the employees were nice.

I had the pleasure of experiencing some truly exceptional hospitality that left me deeply moved. I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina, and I drove down so that my 10-year-old granddaughter could visit her best friend on Friday, June 20th. My granddaughter is on the lower end of the autism spectrum and has sensory sensitivities, so long car rides and crowded places can be overwhelming for her. When we arrived, she had a bit of a sensory overload and started to shut down right away. I had her sit down on the benches across from the registers while I tried to help her calm down. After a few minutes, I approached the register and explained the situation to the young lady working there, asking about their policy for exiting and re-entering the building. To my surprise, she immediately offered to turn down the music to make things easier for my granddaughter, something no one had ever suggested before. Though I didn’t feel it was necessary at that moment, I was blown away by her kindness. Not long after, the manager on duty came over to check on us. She was incredibly sweet and, again, offered to adjust the music or even provide a quiet party room for my granddaughter if she needed a peaceful space. The genuine compassion and concern for my granddaughter’s well-being completely floored me. I couldn’t believe how attentive and understanding they were, especially given the situation. Thanks to their care and thoughtfulness, my granddaughter was able to recover and fully enjoy the rest of her time there. It was such a relief to see her having fun after such a rocky start. I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable. From now on, whenever we’re in the area, we’ll definitely be stopping by for a skate night. You’ve earned a loyal customer, and I’m so grateful for the compassion you showed us. Thank you again for making such a positive impact on our visit! I just wish I would have gotten but to their name so I could have given them the shout out they deserve hopefully they'll see this and know who they are and know that again I was totally moved by there actions

This was our first time visiting, and we had an amazing experience! My daughter and her friends had a blast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Mario and Alex for making our visit truly enjoyable - their enthusiasm and assistance made all the difference. We're already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you to the entire team for creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Five stars isn't enough - we'd give you more if we could!

This place was awesome! We had so much fun. The employees are very very good! Just be careful of other customers. A woman let her kids run around without being watched. They stole my daughter's card she only used to ride the bumper cars and had more stuff available on the card. After they used all of it to play the games I saw them throw it on the floor. I had an "A" written on the back of her card. Then when I was playing the game you throw balls at the clowns they ran up and started throwing them too as I was in the middle of the game. Then started trying to grab my card and play other games with my card. We left after that. That is NOT the business fault at all. Was just bad parenting. So if you go, it's a great place, just watch out for people that refuse to watch their kids.

The Dothan Opera House, a historic building in Dothan, Alabama, has been entertaining guests for over a century. The Atlanta Symphony even chose it as their recording studio due to its exceptional acoustics. With a capacity of 950 people, the opera house hosts various events such as dance recitals, community theater productions, and business gatherings. Over the years, it has undergone renovations while maintaining its Victorian-style furnishings and fittings.
I was fortunate enough to get to see the legendary Jimmy Vaughan here and it was a great show. Very comfortable seats in the second row. I also won two tickets and gave them to my best friend and his wife. We all loved the show. I look forward to coming back when they have more entertainment that I like.

Worked with Tom F. throughout the day unloading, setup and load out. What a terrific individual who made himself available to so many. Tom was prepared and had a plan in place to make our day go smoother, and it did. His crowd control was amazing and went off without any problems. The new facility is amazing, so we'll planned and laid out. Very welcoming and everyone takes pride in what they do

Went to see a Southern Mama show. It was five stars. Crazy squirrel was fantastic so we’re southern mama and all the rest of the gang. The seats were too close to the balcony wall no legroom whatsoever but the acoustics was fantastic. The staff was wonderful and helpful. They should be given a raise.

Just saw Tyrus and he was excellent. We've been to a few plays before the remodel this year and love the Opera House. Unfortunately, it was a last minute stub hub buy and we got row mm...the upper deck...top of the mountain...which was too hot and had an obstructed view because of the railing and row ll, so we stood up most of the show to be able to see. Glad to see they are investing in revitalizing it. It has great potential.

Dothan Opera House is a small building but the presentations are what you would expect in a much bigger city! We went to see ' Mamma Mia' last night and it was phenomenal! The work that went into rehearsals and production were apparent. A must-see attraction when you are in town.

Nestled in Dothan, the World's Smallest City Block is a minuscule gravel triangle adorned with a stop sign, street sign, yield sign, and a monument proudly declaring its title as the tiniest city block globally. Originally larger with a two-story structure and snack shop, this historic site now stands at just 10 feet by 30 feet.
There really isn't much to say about this, it's just a small triangular shaped "city block". There is plenty of parking and all directions to this, however, there are no crosswalks to it so you should pay attention when crossing the road. I think the area is pretty safe though, especially during the day, but it's just a small place for you to go grab a quick picture and then quickly forget about it because there isn't much to it.
Jeremy B — Google review
A funny little place to recognize. I'm happy to learn of this and show my 5 yo, in addition to other Dothan facts, such as the many contributions of George Washington Carver.
Monique W — Google review
I took my fiancée on a whimsical surprise trip to see the "Worlds Smallest City Block" in Dothan. It was hilarious pulling up to it and getting her reaction on the "big surprise" I had for her. We got out of the car, took pictures, laughed, and enjoyed this momentous occasion. It's places like that remind us that we can enjoy the simple things in life, and it's not always about the destination but the people you're with. I'd recommend this place for the adventure seekers and the people who can make any moment a memorable one. This is for the simple at heart and the whimsical-minded. It's a free tourist attraction with bragging rights. Most of all, it's a way to make memories with loved ones.

Not a ton to see, but if you’re in Dothan, you might as well check it off as seeing it! It’s a triangular city block with a granite engraved stone and stop sign. We saw it at night as we were driving through.

On the road traveling and stopped briefly in Dothan, AL. Once there we visited what is known as,"The Shortest Block in the World., what amounted to a triangular piece of land stuck in the middle of a crossroad. It was interesting and the lack of a lot of traffic allowed for pictures.

Escape Dothan offers an exhilarating and adventurous experience for visitors looking for a thrilling activity in the area. With three themed rooms, participants have one hour to work together, think critically, and solve puzzles in order to escape. This live-action game requires teamwork and quick thinking under pressure. The variety of themed rooms, such as The Heist and The Apocalypse, ensures there's something for everyone seeking an adrenaline-pumping challenge.
This was the first time my husband and I ever done an escape room and we had a blast. The game master was very kind and extremely helpful with the puzzle. He was able to guide us to where we needed to go without actually spoiling anything. We were honestly clueless in the beginning and very unsure of where to begin but I think we got the hang of it pretty quickly. We were able to beat the puzzle with 7 seconds remaining. We live 4 hours away from here so I doubt we'll ever be back but if we happen to be traveling through again we'll definitely stop by to play the other rooms.

1st off let me begin by saying although we live in Dothan, we have been to escape rooms all over the USA, but never the one at home! So we have a good over view to compare. I must admit Cullen was hands down our favorite game master!!!! It showed he was paying attention to the game & gave us good "clues" that didn't take the fun out of it. I can tell he enjoys his job & it bleeds into the player's experience! Thank you Cullen, we very much enjoyed it & we will absolutely be back, but only want YOU!!

I went with a group of ladies from our church and we had 2 teams in 2 different rooms. Both teams had a blast!! We had so much fun working together in our room and the theme set up in our room made it so realistic and that made it so much more fun for me. The staff was really friendly and fun. We got there early and we had lots of laughs while waiting for our rooms. I highly recommend Escape Dothan if you are looking for fun outing with friends or family here in the Dothan area. My kids and i got here today when they opened, and I will never come back to this place! When I tell you disgusting, I mean it! The trash cans were over flowing, food and trash all over the floor, and all over the parking lot, broken bottles included.
Marisha M — Google review
I have been to bowling centers all over the country and Dothan Lanes are the worst by far of any center I have ever visited. the outside is scary and the inside is worse. The parking lot is full of crater holes the sign is half off the building one of the front doors is covered in plywood. The lanes have screw heads showing all the gutter caps are loose and you cannot wash your hands in the bathroom the sink is missing.
Kelly S — Google review
Looked online and called says open, but looks like it’s been permanently closed. The building is a mess. The parking lot is a wreck and if you are closed, you should update your hours of operation.
Katie S — Google review
Broken and crooked lanes, the balls are rough and very scratched, and the guy on reception is very rude and needs to learn some respect. I suggest not to go in this bowling instead go to a different one! “His name is james”
A K — Google review
They were out of shoes 9 only had sizes 8-11 available and they weren’t busy. The music was extremely loud and it was dark. It was creepy as well. Definitely would not recommend especially for a family outing when visiting Dothan. It was dirty, said no smoking but people were smoking.
Zachary W — Google review
Stopped by to go bowling. There was trash ALL over the parking lot and it was filled with huge holes in the concrete. Paper, beer bottles, cans everywhere. Half the letters were missing from the building and the metal roof was broken and falling in places. The parking lot near the door smelled absolutely horrible, like pure garbage. Still, we went inside because this used to be such a nice place. When we got inside, half the lanes weren't working and the panels were off the wall exposing the machines that work the bowling pins. It was pretty humid in there too. We immediately turned around and went to Patricia Lanes, which was very nice and well kept. Sad to see Dothan Lanes in such a state. I really hope someone fixes this place up and gets it into nice working order one day, because there's no way anyone would want to spend their money here as it is.

We paid $35+ for 2hrs and we got in just over an hour bc the lane keep breaking down. The ONE person who was there was not even sure of the prices. Old chipped balls and TOOOO expensive for the experience. Came in happy, left out, not so much...😞

This was an interesting festival. It's permanent and run by a big company that travels. It's called different things in different areas. Anyway. Way overpriced food and games. Rides were standard Carnival stuff. The band mob rock played. We left before they took the stage. It's a once was enough kind of place for me. $11 entry fee. $33 for a ride stamp. $10 for a 20 Oz lemonade. $5 refill of that cup. $10 kettle corn. $10 funnel cake.

Here’s a professionally written review of the National Peanut Festival in Dothan, Alabama: ⸻ Review: The National Peanut Festival — A Celebration of Southern Heritage and Community Spirit Each year, the city of Dothan, Alabama—affectionately known as the “Peanut Capital of the World”—welcomes thousands of visitors to celebrate its signature crop during the National Peanut Festival. The annual event, which typically takes place in early November, is more than just a fair—it’s a vibrant showcase of agricultural pride, community engagement, and Southern hospitality at its finest. From the moment guests arrive at the festival grounds, they are greeted by a lively atmosphere filled with the aromas of roasted peanuts, the sounds of live music, and the excitement of families enjoying carnival rides and exhibits. The festival strikes an impressive balance between entertainment and tradition, featuring a wide range of activities including livestock shows, agricultural displays, arts and crafts, and cooking contests. One of the festival’s standout features is its commitment to honoring the local farming community. Educational exhibits and competitions highlight the hard work of peanut growers, while the annual Peanut Parade through downtown Dothan brings together schools, local businesses, and civic groups in a colorful procession that captures the spirit of unity and celebration. Musical performances from both regional and national artists add to the festival’s broad appeal, drawing crowds of all ages. The event is well-organized, with ample parking, friendly volunteers, and a focus on safety and accessibility. The atmosphere remains family-friendly throughout, making it an ideal outing for both locals and visitors seeking an authentic slice of Alabama culture. Overall, the National Peanut Festival stands as a proud tradition that not only honors Dothan’s agricultural roots but also strengthens community bonds year after year. It serves as a shining example of how a regional celebration can evolve into a nationally recognized event while maintaining its home town charm.

Drove past there today. One shady looking vendor. There was a quartet of winos drunk across the street. It really didn't feel like a farmers market, more like a set up for an armed robbery. Locked the doors and moved on.

We checked out this local farmer’s market for the watermelon fest, and we ended up leaving with delicious jam from Avalon Farms and delectable muffins from Bent Oak Bakery. The only reason it didn’t receive a 5th star from me is because I’d like to see more vendors, however, I know that’s to no fault of the market. If you haven’t been, definitely check it out one morning!

A good place to get fresh tomatoes, peas and corn, but I wanted something to munch on with the coffees being sold in the food truck, like pastries. First time at this location and would absolutely love to come back, servers were quick and attentive! Oysters were fresh, delicious, and a great price! We spent about $100 for 4 dozen raw oysters and 2 orders of fried calamari, was not disappointed by any of the food!

My husband and I went on a sat nite. That was our first mistake. My advice is to go before 7 pm. we waited an hour to get seated. As she took our drink order, we went ahead and ordered our food at the same time. It was another hour. Before it was ready. I ordered a med well steak and got a medium rare steak. They had to take it back and cook it again and it was still not right. My husband blackened potatoes were hard because they were not done. As busy as they are and as much money as they make u would think they could do more with the place, like clean the vents on the ceiling, they are black, and everything is outdated. We had a great little waitress who did all she could to get us our food and get it right, and we tipped her good. But the food was bad. I took my steak home and tried to recook it because when u pay 31 for a steak, u want it to be edible. It was tough, and I was over it. We were there for 2 and half hours, and I had to take my home and try to recook it. The waitress was great, but they were building and food tucked.

We were on a mini getaway and searched for a nearby seafood spot with good reviews. Saw the hype and decided to give this place a try for dinner. My husband and I both ordered the Seafood Platter with cheese grits, which came with fried catfish, shrimp, oysters, scallops, and stuffed crab. The pro: The restaurant was clean, and we felt welcomed right away. Our server Brittany was a total sweetheart. She was super attentive, polite, and quick. She’s honestly the reason this review got two stars instead of one. The con: Unfortunately, the food just didn’t do it for either of us. Everything lacked seasoning. The crab cake and oysters were bland and mushy. Even the tartar sauce had no flavor; which is wild. The catfish was okay, and the scallops and shrimp were passable, but only with cocktail sauce to help them out. Overall, it just wasn’t for me. I know a lot of folks love this spot, and that’s cool, but we definitely won’t be back.
Cachet — Google review
Food was okay. Service was excellent. The place was packed, and the parking lot could use some maintenance. Salad bar is way over hyped and was perhaps the most disappointing part of the evening. My steak was cooked well, but my wife's shrimp were a little under cooked, and overall everything was a little on the bland side. Could get a better tasting meal for much less at many other restaurants in Dothan.
Scott W — Google review
Decided to stop here for dinner with the family just to try out a different spot than our normal go to’s. Saw Hunts had great reviews so wanted to give them a shot. Service was mid— energy was “off” (I still tipped good) — food was okay. Appetizer portions are huge we loved the fried crab claws and onion rings. The appetizers were honestly the best thing we had. Note: When they bring the entrees out, you better have your table clear or grow a third arm because they’ll practically throw the food at you. Tables are already small— so instead of the waitress asking could she take anything off the table to give you more space she just crammed it all on the table— we almost had to put food in our lap. 😬 We won’t be back. Wayyyyyy better spots in Dothan.
Sada J — Google review
Definitely outdated, but the cheese rolls were a great start but the food took forever. My children were falling asleep at the table How do you serve fried shrimp to children with the tail still on a choking hazard is what that is. and we ordered a side salad and these bowls were pitiful. Yes you got to choose what you wanted on there from a bar, but it’s barely bigger than a monkey dish/a side dish bowl. And just a suggestion on the Cajun oysters not so much Cajun seasoning we want to taste it, but not choke on it. My Mom said the potato was barely cooked enough for the cheese and butter to melt.
Alex G — Google review
What a fantastic place for a top-notch meal!!! The service was absolutely amazing. We were even asked if we had a favorite server. I got the ribeye and shrimp. It was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp utterlytasted! They left pitchers of tea for us to refill our drinks as needed. AND, the dinner rolls had a nice little cheesy surprise. Everything we were told about Hunts was spot on. Dine here, you will not be disappointed.

Such great food! Very packed for a Tuesday evening also. Always a good sign. Have to say, it's was a top 3 best steak I've ever had! Full of flavor and tender! Definitely saved for future stops. *Update* We wanted a healthy steak before heading out and we were NOT disappointed. 😍 We did learn these awesome rolls were supposed to be available for each meal and that we got jipped last night. The center offers more than adequate lighting and sound facilities for performances. Despite some minor inconveniences in entry and exit, visitors have had enjoyable experiences at events like the PURSUIT Men's Conference. Additionally, the center's staff members are known for their kindness and helpfulness, while the facility itself is praised for its cleanliness.
Went there for The Marshall Tucker Band show. All the promotions said 7:00, I figured that was the doors time. Also, nothing stated there were two opening bands. The opening bands were really good. I didn't realize the show started at 7, so with the bad directions from google and time it took us to find parking we got in about 7:15. We missed about half the first band. The acoustics to the building are pretty good. Parking was impossible until I found the over flow lot up the street and then we found ample parking. The people that worked there were all pleasant. Some of the other arenas we have been to always seem to have the people with a chip on your shoulder. We were thanked for coming, we were thanked for throwing away our trash before leaving. We were sandbagging at the merch tables before leaving giving the crowd time to disperse. The guy working the door was impressed that I brought my teenage daughters who were probably in the top 5 or 10 youngest there to a band that old. The only issue I had with the place is the seats are not set up for big people. The floor seats were folding chairs, so glad I didn't have to sit in those for the show. We were in the front row of the balcony which I thought had some extra leg room but at 6'5 and 350+ lbs. It was a tight fit. I kept pinching my sides on th arm rails which dug into my sides all night. The girls who don't have a weight problem at all said the seats were kinda small. So before everyone says lose some weight... I am working on it. The venue is a two hour drive from us. Of course the shortcut route google took us on took short of 3 hours. We are working on getting ZZ Top tix for next month.

I went to see the Bluey performance on 6/11/2024. We chose the "next best seats" in the gold tier and spent $213.60. The view was obstructed heavily with most of the show occurring out of our field of view. Every response I get is "No refund policy" despite the fact that we were unaware of the severity of the issue until the lights went out and once they did my daughter is visually impaired and moving isn't really an option. I would like my money back, I have had good experiences in the past but this really sours it. I have attached a picture of the view from our seats for proof. All the seats to our left and behind us were empty likely because of this concern. Over half of the back is occluded and most of the show seemingly occurred in the front left out of our view.
ERIC S — Google review
Well, the seats are too narrow for me, which is my fault. Nevertheless , when I tried to purchase some food ($9 canned beer, a $7 burger), I was embarrassed when my credit card wouldn't work. I soon found out that they don't take Discover card. They don't take cash, which I understand. But a $7 burger and a more expensive beer just too much. I suggest eating something before coming and another thing, the food staff pops open the beer when they hand it to you. This doesn't make sense to me. The beer will be dranked there at the Civic center, but let me open it.

Recently worked Dothan AnimeFest and overall was bad. Organizers said 6ft tables, arrived to find 8ft tables supplied causing a rush to go buy coverings for a larger table then was planned for. Concessions ran out of burgers an hour into lunch. There was no staff managing queue lines for Voice Actors causing congestion and blocking off an entire row of artists. Mixing vendors and artists on floor causing congesting and blocking of some tables. None of the seating areas were open causing attendees to only have the floor in the halls to sit and rest. Worst incident of the entire convention was a young boy, around 9 years old, was walking around trying to sell a $90 blind box to anyone he could claiming his parents grounded him and he could get ungrounded if he sold it. Another vender said the young boy told them it was so he could get adopted. During breakdown a middle aged balding man identified himself as this child's father started a verbal altercation with multiple artists and said he was staff and threatened he would prevent any of them from working at the con when told making your child go around and sell items like that was irresponsible and wrong and illegal, considering everyone selling there had to pay for a one day state license. He said he had to do that cause he couldn't get a table. He continued to shout and curse at people as he walked away. Staff was notified but nothing seems to have been done. Overall if you're a local then attend, if you are travelling any distance I would discourage working or attending future Animefests.

We attended the medical school’s graduation commencement ceremony this month and one from our group lost his wallet. We searched and called to no avail and left Dothan without the wallet. Several days later, the owner of the wallet received a call from the Civic Center’s front office informing us that they had found the wallet! After searching through the ACOM student directory (which made their investigation harder as the student’s last name did not match the owner’s), calling our local police department based on the driver license, and finally finding the Wallet Owner’s phone number, they said on the phone that they would be happy to mail the wallet to us. Wallet Owner insisted they use the cash inside his wallet to cover shipping costs and they appreciatively declined, saying that was covered by them! They were incredibly kind, they went above and beyond, and they truly made our day as they helped out a stranger just to do the right thing. Not a single card or dollar was missing from that wallet! They were honest, professional, and courteous. Thank you to the incredible, wonderful, and warm staff at the Dothan Civic Center’s front office and all who came in contact with the wallet and treated it with integrity, respect, and concern. Thank you to whoever found the wallet and turned it over to the front office! We are all so touched and grateful that you all went SO FAR OUT of your way just to return a wallet to its owner. It would have been so easy just to throw it away, quit halfway while searching for the owner, or even use the money inside to ship it back to us. It means so much to us that you did not do the EASY thing, but the RIGHT thing. Kind strangers still exist and they are at the Dothan Civic Center!!! Thank you again!

Loved the dance recital. The Civic Center is too old and dated to be charging so much for refreshments. If you can charge that much, you need to update the building.

Steak house
Conestoga Steak House is a beloved local spot in Dothan, serving up mouthwatering steaks and homestyle dishes for over 30 years. This family-owned restaurant takes pride in using only fresh ingredients, never freezing their meat or using a freezer on the premises.
We each got the ribeye steaks. I honestly think this is one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. They don't have a very extensive menu but everything we had was excellent. Very simple decor, small selection of bottled beers. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened and it filled up very quickly. We will definitely be back in the future.
Donovan B — Google review
The atmosphere comes close to a basement… not every welcoming interior. The steak selection is small. But my biggest surprise: this is the only steakhouse I know, where sirloin is a thick steak and filet mignon is flat (?!) My Sirloin was also too chewy (medium)
Anton S — Google review
We stopped here for dinner a few nights ago. My wife had the chopped steak burger. I had a steak and baked potato. The sides were good. My wife enjoyed the burger. The steak, It was cooked well, had an ok flavor. Nothing great. I have paid less for better. If they would use a quality meat like Jenkins Farm dry aged Angus Beef out of FL, or another of similar quality, you wouldn't find a seat in the house. The service was great. The Atmosphere is ok, but has that 90s dimmed light vibe Goin on still. Not the coolest dining rooms by far. I assume it looks similar now as it did when smoking was still allowed while dining here. 😆
William G — Google review
Great local spot with solid food and a laid-back vibe. My girlfriend and I had a great time here! The steak was flavorful, the sides were on point, and you could tell everything was made fresh. Even though we had to wait about 20–30 minutes for a table, the line moved steadily, and the staff stayed friendly throughout. The service was consistent, and we appreciated how attentive the team was once we were seated. The atmosphere had a classic steakhouse charm—nothing too fancy, but comfortable and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and have a little time to spare. We’ll be back!

This is a great experience! Great atmoshpere to catch up with friends and family. The steak was AWESOME and the hand cut fries are worth cooking back for by themselves. But the bread roles are in a league by themselves. The staff was very friendly. You should go here for a great meal.

My wife and I went Saturday (10/25/25) with a couple of friends. It’s been a while since my wife and I have ate here, it wasn’t that good then. Ours friends invited us to go with them Saturday. I ordered the 14oz ribeye cooked medium. Mine came out pretty close to right. My wife ordered the filet mignon killed twice (well well done). lol! Hers was right. Our friends ordered the 14oz ribeye cooked medium and the filet mignon cooked medium. His came out well done. Hers came out rare. He sent his back she sent hers back TWICE! They finally got theirs back and it was close to right. We will not be going back. This place used to be a very good steak house and stayed packed. They weren’t that busy and they sucked.
Craig — Google review
Wife and I have driven by here many times since we moved to the area. We decided to give it a try. Both steaks were over done. We ordered ,medium they were well done with no pink left. Her baked potato was cold in the middle. My fries could have used a little more time in the fryer. They were limp. We had high hopes and left underwhelmed.

Cowboys is a renowned nightclub that has been entertaining guests since 1956. It's considered one of the best country music venues in the southern United States, offering live country music, a spacious dance floor, and poker nights. With a capacity for 350 people, it features four bars, five pool tables, and a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from other entertainment spots. The venue has hosted legendary country stars like Merle Haggard and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Didn't have any food, but I'm sure it's great. The bartenders made the experience so wonderful! Especially for an out of towner. I can't wait to go back! That No Fun Allowed Band I followed out there is always down for a good time, too. I learned so many new dances on their huge dance floor & met tons of new people. I would recommend Cowboys to anyone!!

Went there on Wednesday night. They have no cover charge, free pool (billiards), free Cornhole (beanbag toss) and no real pesos Poker. DJ in sound booth keeps the tunes going and bartender makes sure everybody stays hydrated 🤪
Dennis M — Google review
Can't complian about cover charge as it's always free for Military. Have been where the atmosphere is really good and other times it's just so-so. If you are into line dancing you are in luck because that's about the only type music they play. Not enough variety in the song selections by the DJ. My wife and I grew up in the 80's and she loves to dance to the music (hip-hop/dance) of that time. Rarely get a that opportunity due to non-stop line dancing music being played.
Don M — Google review
Single-handedly the worst bar experience I’ve ever had. The bar itself and the atmosphere weren’t that bad. However, my whole experience was tainted by the incredibly rude young woman and older man at the door. The young girl at the door was doing seemingly nothing and when I approached to ask a question she all but yelled at me and looked at me like I was stupid. She then handed off my question to the older man who actually talked to me like I was stupid. Incredibly incredibly rude service. I love to line dance however my experience has put such bad taste in my mouth that I’d rather stay home then go out to line dance and be treated that way.

Beautiful views and well taken care bridges. The path is rocky instead of smooth so I would not recommend it for those with strollers (unless you have a jogging stroller) which is a shame since it's so beautiful out here. I will be back when it cools off some and I can baby wear vs use a stroller.
Stephanie T — Google review
This is a cool place. I will definitely return soon. I walked the area to just check it out. Looks great. I can't wait to ride there. It's not much for casual trails. It's MTB specific. The training obstacles and course are cool. It's a shame they don't partner with AMA. The field there would be great for flying, but there are lots of signs to keep RC stuff out. I get the dirt courses and trails, but the air over it? Would be a cool cooperation to see. Closest flying field I found is like 45 min drive.

It's an awesome place to walk, run ride a bike. Unlike the difficult trails more, I can be walking for hours. I totally recommended it. Just one recommendation to the public, please pick up your trash after you eat, and don't throw it on the forest. Bring a bag and take it with you. Other than that, enjoy the nature views.

The 6769-yard, 18-hole course is surrounded by lush greenery and open to the public year-round. It offers a delightful golfing experience for enthusiasts of all levels.
I really don’t play a lot of golf because I’m disabled. I use to love going to this course to hit range balls! May me feel alive! I went to the course this past Sunday to do just that. The range is so far from the parking area with my disability there’s no way I can carry my clubs that far. In the past (I will say 3 years ago) they was always so gracious to over a cart! Because it has been a few years I asked about using a cart and was turned down! Then I offer to rent a cart, their response was we don’t aloue our carts to be used for the range. My experience with people like this is in my opinion is they don’t need people like me business! So I can tell you! I don’t need their course!!! Please back disabled people and avoid this course at all coast
Wesley P — Google review
Again I will not come to this course again 3 years in a row and trash is everywhere weeds all over the fairways they don't move there holes on the greens and the flag sticks are rotting in the cups
Ryan B — Google review
Well, I have never played this course. I have went 3 times and was refused to play every time. I did post a review of my first experience, which was not good. I walked in, he asked my name, and said "that's what I thought. Your not welcome here." Since I had gave them a poor review, he banned me from the course. I play golf everywhere, I'm not saying anything about the course, because I've never played it. But as far as the management, this is the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered in my life. I would understand if I had acted unruly or even used foul language. Nothing of the sort here. Just unbelievable. No complaints about the price I have never spent a dime there, and never will.
Bobby W — Google review
Showed up at 7:45 this morning to play a round of golf with friends. Our friend got to the course a few minutes earlier and got a cart. When I went inside to pay, the cashier took my card. Before she swiped it the manager walked up and whispered in her ear and she gave me my card back and told me I was not allowed to play. I have golfed here since 2015 and this is the only time I’ve ever been asked to leave. My friends and I are never coming back here and I recommend the same to everyone else. They do not take tee times and they will tell you to go home for no reason. Terrible management.
CavemanAndMoop — Google review
Went to play a round and took my wife just to ride the cart with me as she does at any other normal golf course. They would not let her ride with me because she didnt have clubs. Would not recommend this place to anyone
Josh S — Google review
This place is a joke I never had to shoot out of the weeds in the center of a fairway every green looks like complete shit flag pins are rotting and leaning over and the holes haven't bee changed in MONTHS... I will not come back to this land field ever again that's 3 years in a row and yall haven't even tried to maintain the course trash everywhere woods over gone... NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN

Terrible experience! Never answer the phones whatsoever so can’t even get any information and they don’t even allow riders! I’ve been to some of the most high end courses and riders are allowed! Flat out ridiculous!

Discovering Black History gems in places that I’m visiting are always the highlight of my adventures. Named after George Washington Carver the great agricultural scientist and inventor most famously known for promoting the cultivation of peanuts and other crops to restore the soil. The museum is located in the center of Dothan in the former Greyhound bus station that was one of the many segregated establishments in the 1940s. Today, there are panels that depict African Americans contributions to science. The highlight was being able to see GW Carver’s handwritten letters where he is telling s colleague of the work he is performing at Tuskegee University.

We visited during an afternoon in Dothan and found this to be a highly educational and interesting attraction. The docent, Shanta, was cheerful, knowledgeable, and talkative. There was information about many African American inventors and notable firsts. If you are looking for a museum with a lot of stuff, this is not it but if you are looking for an attraction to learn and give you a good basis for further exploration, I think this is a fantastic place to start. There isn't an entry fee, the museum appears to be supported by donations.

We’ve had our kids birthday party here and attended several of their friends birthday parties. It is so much fun for all and they alway leave with big smiles and tiredness.(it’s a good thing for a mama of 3 boys!😂) Their staff is always courteous and helpful. Also, when our youngest was a crawling baby, the baby area was such a nice area to have to entertain him. We love coming here so much!

Amazing park! They always put the kid’s and adults safety first. We all had an amazing time here. Their party rooms are amazing. I would totally recommend going here! The go karting and laser tag is super fun.
Ivo — Google review
I gave this place 3 stars and not 5 because since the last time we visited (last year we went before this time) they've really let this place go. They added in go carts, cool. But they use temporary bumpers. The laser tag is definitely not worth it. You have to shoot the gun of another player even though you "shouldn't point the laser at someone's eye." The targets are on the front part of the other players weapon, so not hitting them in the eye is impossible. Some of the trampolines, roof tiles, pads around the trampolines, equipment, etc are all in disrepair. This place looks like they've all but given up on the upkeep, which is really sad because last year we went it wasn't this bad. The year before that there were only a couple things needing repairs. These types of parks are great for kids, they love it and it helps them exercise. It even encourages parents to as well. But after how bad it's gotten we probably won't return to this one sadly. 😕
Heather A — Google review
This place is great for kids! Even adults too. The layout I think is perfect! A full cafe which is right next to the kids 6 and under area. Speaking of the kids 6 and under area it’s completely sectioned off so no other kids come through and bother. Pricing is very fair! $1 for a locker with $3 deposit. There are many other areas I forgot to take photos of. I went in the batting cages for an hour myself and enjoyed that. The have a cool obstacle course that is suspended above the main area and Rock climbing walls. Make sure you go online to their website and fill out a waiver for every single person just to make it easier when you get there. Seemed like they were a little under staffed in some areas but overall a pleasant experience and very friendly
Ben J — Google review
I recently visited Axtion Air and purchased ice cream (snowcones) for my kids. Unfortunately, when we sat down to enjoy them, the ice cream was completely rock solid and covered in freezer burn—it was inedible. I took it back to the counter hoping for a replacement, but instead of resolving the issue, the staff just handed me a cup and told me to let it melt. When I asked to speak with a manager, they refused and told me the manager would say the same thing. As a result, my kids never even got to enjoy the treat I paid for. This level of customer service is extremely disappointing. I expected more from a place that caters to families and children.
Ayana S — Google review
AX Air was so loving and caring for our youth group here at Sola Baptist Church! From helping us plan, to allowing us to use a party room at no charge, and catering our every need, the caring spirit was found in each employee there. Not just a few of the employees! All of them! Wonderful atmosphere! We will be back.
Hunter H — Google review
It is definitely bigger inside than it looks from the street. I don't care for the setup necessarily bc it's a little too easy to lose track of fast-paced kids. They do, however, have a lot of different things for the kids to do. Arcade, basketball, dodge ball, ball pit, laser tag, and the big balls you can get inside. The food court, however, is a joke. If I could just rate them, they'd have 1 star, but since it has to be overall, the rest of the experience outweighs the issues there. A bunch of kids running it without adult supervision is probably half the issue. They didn't even know what they had or didn't have. They let you order whatever you want but then come to find out there was no coffee, fries, popcorn, pretzels, and who knows what else. Basically, it's just pizza and soda. One lady in front of us in line waited 30 mins for the 3 slices of pizza she ordered and was given burnt slices on top of it. I would not have been as understanding as her. It also doesn't look like anyone believes in cleaning anything. Trash on the couches that are around some of the play areas and the bathrooms haven't seen cleaning supplies in quite some time. Plus, I don't know what's up with the Taylor Swift radio. We were there for 3 hours, and that's all they played

Great place for younger kids only to play. The park was designed to accommodate children with disabilities but allows anyone to come and play. However, it is very important that we respect the authenticity of this parks design and be courteous to those with special needs since all of the other parks do not provide such awesome accommodations. They recently closed the park to make updates and those are complete now and the park is back open. Best time to visit is during the week since the weekends are pretty packed.

Great park with lots of different things to enjoy! Walking trail is mostly dirt while the pathed area is for bikers. Some points of the trail you share the road way with bikes which was no issue. The path is mostly shaded besides the area by the tennis complex and water world etc. The park features an outdoor gym, BMX park, bike path, walking path with alternative path options, tennis and more. Be aware of our 8 legged friends if you are scared of spiders they are out there. It was a beautiful day and it was not overly crowded. I do think the trail would be more manageable with a jogging stroller (I used my mockingbird and it did ok). The park is well taken care of and the bathrooms are CLEAN! The bathrooms also feature a changing station for babies that was clean as well. 5/5 we will be back again soon and it was worth the drive from Enterprise!

Eastgate Park is a spacious and well-maintained park with numerous amenities. It features covered pavilions, bathrooms, boardwalks along a picturesque creek, a playground for children, and designated areas for fishing and dog-friendly activities. The park also offers separate sections for large and small dogs to play. Additionally, visitors can enjoy archery, frisbee games, and scenic trails within the expansive grounds.
I was shocked at how big and well kept this place was. It has tons of covered pavilions, bathrooms, board walks with a beautiful creek, a playground for the kids, an area for fishing and dog friendly! We only covered one side of eastgate so we didn’t get to see the other side. The pond has an area under a huge tree that you can sit and relax out of the sun. We enjoyed every minute of it.

This beautiful park features four dedicated pickleball courts, a spacious dog park, scenic walking trails, a lovely lake, an 18-hole disc golf course, and immaculately clean restrooms.
Jeanne J — Google review
We brought our great dane puppy! Big, clean, nice looking park! First time we went there were easily 20-30 dogs at its peak and it didn't feel at all full or crowded. We will definitely be back!
Meg M — Google review
I was looking for a dog park to take my pup and Eastgate has the best one in the area! They have two areas depending on the size of your dog and it's very expansive (as you can see in the pictures). They also have a fishing pond that I like to partake in:) I believe there's archery, frisbee games and trails as well! I'll be venturing into those amenities soon.
Dayna P — Google review
Beautiful park every time we come here. Love it here! Please repair the board walk. It has been broke for way too long. Please stop letting the lake get so nasty that people can't fish in it. And please stop cutting down all the trees and putting the disc frisbee where people walk. Really this park needs a redo!

Beautiful park. Came to play the disc golf course and loved it. There is also a great dog park, archery range, running/walking loop, and plenty of room for people to spread out.

I when to work for dinner last night with six friends. All of us really enjoyed our meals. In fact I would say they were close to being considered excellent. I got one of the bowls, specifically beef, and my buddy got pork and he loved it. The only reason I knocked it down a notch our server was not very attentive and we spent a lot of time waiting on him, but overall, this is a definitely hit

I've been told about this restaurant by a few different people down in Panama City. Made the 1.5 hour drive up just to try it. Very fun atmosphere. Good service! No wait to be seated on a Saturday night at 7pm. Plenty of parking. Menu with a ton of options. The steak was sooooo good. Birria was too oily and lacked flavor. Tinga quesadilla was too wet.

I read reviews. They were accurate this place is great. I went for my thirty first birthday and the place was amazing. Food was great and atmosphere was perfect chill and relaxing for me and my wife to enjoy a meal. Don't hesitate to go here.

The food was good. It would have been better with more seasoning, especially the Chicken Marsala. It was very bland. The asparagus was delicious. Next time I will try the pizza since this is their specialty. The atmosphere was nice for a date night.

This is a quaint family place that can easily seat 60. Beautiful atmosphere. Soft lighting, great seating and tables. Wood fire pizza grills, pasta, traditional pizzas, design your own pizzas, great appetizers, and salads. Really attentive customer service. We had pizza this time but when we come back we'll try the pastas. The pizza was CRAZY DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend this wonderful little restaurant!!!

As a visitor to the city, I found this restaurant on a Google map search. The atmosphere was quaint and homely. The food (small veggie pizza and spinach salad) was great. Especially the salad. The most impressive of all was the great service. The service was warm, inviting, and sincerely smiling every time she came to check on me. I highly recommend Fire Stone Wood Fired Grill for a nice lunch break.
Sonya H — Google review
They do not have a gluten-free menu, but they are knowledgeable about gluten and cross-contamination and are able to adapt many items on their menu to suit. I had the shrimp & grits and it was phenomenal. My partner went with the pork chops and thought they were perfect. Our server was pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was prompt. The atmosphere was a little bare bones/stark/cold, but it was fine.
Alison W — Google review
Courtney is a fantastic server. The sauce for the spaghetti is classic and the pasta is handmade. We “made our own pizza” with black figs, artichokes, & goat cheese….so, so good! As a vegetarian, I approve! Prices are high, but I guess that’s inflation & good quality ingredients.
Felicity N — Google review
Traveling through the area with my 5 year old… I searched for Vegan food near me - google recommended this restaurant. It was such a strange experience. The staff seemed annoyed at having to work, and more interested in socializing among themselves than being bothered by a customer. Their lunch menu was printed on regular paper, which I found a bit lacking for the price point. They did not, in fact, have vegan options. Vegetarian and gluten free yes, vegan no. So I opted for a salad and some pasta with marinara sauce. I also ordered some garlic knots. My 5 year old got some spaghetti from the kids menu. When my food arrived, I was absolutely stunned at how delicious it was!!! Truly mind blown! I did have to chase down the server and interrupt her social time after waiting like 10 minutes wondering if I would ever get my salad. She finally brought it about 5 minutes later. It was also absolutely delicious! My garlic knots came last and they were literally black on top. Not sure if that’s how they were supposed to be??? But I pulled off the black parts and they were also freaking phenomenal! Even burnt! Some of the best food I’ve ever had lol. My bill was about $53 for just myself and my child. At that price it does seem like the staff would be a bit more professional… but the food was so good it’s like maybe I was just lucky to eat there at all and they know it??? I dunno haha. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Just don’t expect 5 star service lol

Upon my initial visit to 'Antique Attic', I was greatly impressed by the extensive selection they offered. Undoubtedly, this establishment boasts one of the largest collections of antique items in the vicinity, spanning multiple structures within its premises. It serves as an exceptional destination for those seeking distinctive and intricately crafted furnishings. Given the abundance of treasures awaiting exploration, it is advisable to allocate a considerable amount of time for your visit. The experience is truly worthwhile and highly recommended.
The most eclectic and interesting collection of real antiques I've ever seen in one location. Wonderful customer service from Ms. Wanda with my purchase. Will return to add to my collection. Thank you for taking time to help me Ms. Wanda.

First time visiting 'Antique Attic'. Very impressed with their vast inventory. By far one of the largest antique facilities in the area. Several buildings on site to visit. Excellent place to shop for unique furnishings with exquisite detail. Plan on being there awhile. So much to see. Well worth visiting. Rating a 4 for pricing. Ms. Wanda was a big help. Very knowledge of inventory. If you have never visited, I would recommend.

This is an amazing place with so many classic pieces. The pricing is Appropriate for the quality of the antiques antiques they have. They are. I am a fan of French Empire antiques and usually these can only be located in NYC, Philadelphia, Miami, New Orleans and LA. I was delighted to find true gems at the Antique Attic in Dothan, AL. They have a broad variety of fine antiques. I found them online and when I called to inquire about 2 pieces of furniture, Warren was a delight to work with. He arranged for a shipper since I Live in Georgia and kept me apprised of all the details. I am very pleased with my new pieces of furniture. They look better in person than they did online. I think their pricing cannot be beat. I will be a repeat customer. What a great find!

Incredible pieces. Great prices. If you want some TRUE Antiques. This is the place. The owners are super nice and very professional. We will return!!

I took a coffee table to antique attic to sell. The guy told me a price of $250 and that if I wanted to check other places for a better price I could and that I could bring it back and as long as I brought it back in the same condition he would purchase it. I couldn't find anywhere else in dothan that buys antique so I had my sister in law take it back just a couple days later and the guy told her he would only pay $200 since it had to be brought back. It didn't cost him any time or money for it to be brought back he only took advantage of the situation bc it was a female bringing it back. I will not do future business here or recommend anybody to do business here as far as selling them anything.

Dothan Nurseries is probably one of the BEST nurseries I’ve ever been to! I love that they have so much to offer and the workers are always so kind, smiling and helpful! My kids ask to come here often because they love it too! They get to feed the fish, explore the butterfly house, play in the little play house, enjoy popsicles in the summer, popcorn and their favorite the treasure chest when we’re checking out! They also have complimentary water & other beverages! The house plants are always in amazing condition and the prices are fair! They have cute photo set ups too! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Check it out if you haven’t! I would give more stars if I could! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very inviting from the time you make a first step in. Friendly customer service with a very good sense to enjoy your time while searching for plants. I guess searching for appropriate plants for your zone, resistant to specific animals and more factors in garden design needs place to relax and think over. This is a place. It’s not a cheapest nursery, but is a worthy. I forgot to mention it is a very organized and clean.

T G — Google review
I stopped by here and I had no idea what it was honestly, but this place is so large and so well maintained. This is an absolute step above the typical lawn and garden sections of your traditional big name hardware stores. This place is incredibly well staffed, incredibly clean and has an incredibly large and healthy selection of plants and decorations for your home indoors or out. They also give away complimentary water, coffee, and popcorn which I thought was very friendly, and no one is hassling you to buy anything. If you just want to come walk around and enjoy this beautiful space you can. There's also a kids area with a little butterfly house and it's just wonderful and a complete delight. When I was there today there were plenty of Booth set up for people selling their arts and crafts and a few food trucks, this place was very busy and I was incredibly impressed with how well run this place is and I can't believe I've never heard of it until just recently.

The mall features department stores like Belk and Dillards, alongside specialty shops such as the Hallmark store and Bama Fever/Tiger Pride for local sports team gear.
Wiregrass Commons Mall may have seen brighter days, but it still holds its own with a selection of solid shops and a surprisingly well-maintained environment. It's clear the current management takes pride in keeping the mall in good condition. I miss going into this mall and shopping. We recently went and were glad to see there was a decent amount of stores in there. They have a list online and I recommend going and supporting the places in there. It’s convenient and a nice place to get out. The place needs updating but if it gets enough business then hopefully they can update things.

This mall is horrible everything in there is old in dirty as far as the carpet and lounge chairs . The bathrooms was horrible every stall had something in it. This mall needs to shut down for a while and rebuilt, start from fresh. There is a food court with no food and maybe 15-20 stores total to actually shop at. It’s horrible .
Itsjusbrii — Google review
We have never been to this mall and we decided to make a visit. At one time this was probably a bustling shopping mall but as with most shopping malls it has seen better times. I would estimate about 75% of the stores are empty and there is very little activity here to justify the mall being open. There even is a carousel but we do not know if it operates.

It was definitely worth the money! Paid $5 more for an extra hour and didn't even need it. My kids had a blast! I was even able to jump with them. It was awesome! They have massage chairs all over so if you don't want to play with the kids you can relax. Best sleep we've had in awhile. I definitely will recommend this to anyone with kids! Just be careful though. There were a lot of screen parents in the way. The parents that can't interact with their kids unless the have a phone up watching them play through a phone screen. Some were nice to stay out the middle of the walkway, some would just stand there and wouldn't let others around them. Keep a lookout for them and you'll love it here.

Hosted a birthday party here over the weekend and it was a huge success with the kids. This venue has rooms to hold multiple parties, areas for the smaller children to play, an area for inflatables, large slides, high jump trampolines for the adults or older kids and plenty of room for everyone to burn off excess energy. It was the perfect place to host a birthday party. The staff was friendly and eager to help out. I would recommend Xtreme for a great place to stop in and let the kids have some fun, host a party, and everything in between.

Mon-Fri is buy 1st hour get 2nd free. We took our 5 year old a little after opening on a Monday and we literally had the whole place to ourselves. Lots of different things to do other than trampolines.

I recommend going there with or without a party package any day!

Visitors can enjoy picking blackberries and exploring the peach trees. The farm offers various activities such as tractor rides, pumpkin and sunflower patches, bounce houses, swimming corn, and hay mountain climbing. Additionally, visitors can purchase fresh produce at great prices or opt for u-pick options.
We had a blast! Very clean, and the staff were super friendly. I highly recommend this day trip during the fall season. We had a group with ages that varied 3 months old to 78 years old. There was something for the young and the elderly. From many age appropriate games, hayrides, sunflower picking, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and a market full of groceries.

Me, my 2 year old son and my friends had so much fun in here! Their strawberries are the best ones I've ever tasted! So sweet and juicy! It was an easy 40min drive for us. The adults and the toddlers had an absolute amazing time! The kids enjoyed the big sandbox and played there! We will be back again soon!

Absolutely love this place!!! Their produce is always fresh and gorgeous, and you can pick your own or buy it already picked. They also have tons of other food items to buy like freeze dried candy, jams, jellies, and more! And they carry organic skincare products and goat milk soaps from a local business. During the fall months, they have a corn maze, pumpkin patch, sunflowers, hayrides, and other fun family things to do. 100% recommend.

Loved this place - a great way to spend the day with your family. While the price may seem a bit steep, there are enough activities here to keep you busy for hours. To use everything they have and make it through the shop, I would allot at least 2-2.5 hours. Everything is great for the kids, the cornmaze is a little advanced so be ready to spend some time in there.

Great farm. Easy to find. Accurate directions and lots of road signs. I explored on my own and found lots of new to me things. The horses are so gentle (as long as you don't feed them.) Wow, an abundance of kid activities (and adults). You can ride the cart or walk to the picking area. A variety of sesional produce and a few you-pick-um areas. All grown there or local. They even have dairy and beef from local suppliers. This is definitely on my shop local list. Pay cash, it's better for the local businesses (no credit card fees for them.)

Nestled in Dothan, Alabama, the RTJ Golf Trail at Highland Oaks is a top attraction for golf enthusiasts and novices alike. This renowned golf trail offers some of the finest golfing experiences in the region. Highland Oaks features three nine-hole championship courses and a nine-hole short course, catering to players of all levels. The facility boasts excellent practice areas, a well-stocked pro shop, and a restaurant with friendly staff.
This is easily my favorite course. It's worth the drive from Panama City. I love that they have three nine hole courses so you can switch up your round of 18 a little. The Highland course is my personal favorite, but all 3 have something unique to offer. Everything is excellent here. Friendly staff, the starters are helpful and knowledgeable, beautiful club house, nice practice area, well stocked pro shop, the carts are in great shape with built in GPS and Bluetooth, the tee boxes and fairways are always in great shape, and the greens are beautiful, very fast, and challenging. It's tough course, but there's plenty of tee boxes for different skill levels. I always have an absolute blast whether it's a solo round or with my son and can't wait to come back again.

I played Marshwood/Magnolia on April 28, 2025 traveling through. Course was in great shape. Sand was still pretty evident on the greens but they rolled great. 12 handicap and shot 84 from the Orange tees. Really friendly staff. Starter was extremely helpful and let me play through a threesome on the first tee. Pay attention to the GPS for your blind tee shots to know where your landing area is. Lots of elevated greens so easy to hit the green and roll off. Would definitely play again.

We've visited all 11 RTJ Trail sites and this one is very nice. We played Marshwood/Magnolia on a Tuesday morning. The Staff were very friendly and the course was in fantastic condition per usual for the Trail. The greens had just been sanded but, they were rolled out tight so they were much quicker and actually ran very true. The Starter was fantastic and very friendly. We enjoyed talking with him before teeing off. We found the fairways to be much wider than other Trail courses but, the greens were smaller. The only negative thing was the breakfast we tried to get before our tee time. We ordered what was supposed to be oatmeal with fruit/berries and they charged $ 7.00 for a small bowl of what amounted to a pouch of instant oats with no berries. The breakfast burrito was also cold. Very disappointing for us. We travel all over the State to visit RTJ sites and have had better food services.

This place is gorgeous and happy to call it my new home course. Course conditions are stellar, staff is friendly, a beautiful view each hole and for a great price. Double deck grass range, no more hitting off of mats. Getting a trail card drastically reduces prices. I highly recommend getting one.

Beautiful course. Pretty challenging with water & bunkers at a distance to make them definitely in play for an average golfer but with a safe out if you don’t want to go for it. No doubt the best in the area and was worth the hour and half it took to get there. Not cheap but less expensive than many that are not in the same league as far as quality. Will definitely be back & look forward to it

I love how much Nature Gallery has taught me! I've been attending classes at this studio for over a year, and have learned so much about yoga and breath work. I have taken a variety of classes, from Power Flow with Susie, to Jason's signature yoga class, and Tori's Slow Flow & Yin. All classes offer different perspectives, and are available to any level. I also have really enjoyed Jason's sound bath sessions he often hosts on Sundays. Their studio also offers various massage options, which I often take advantage of after returning home from a long flight. Thank you, Nature Gallery, for being such a transformative place in my life!

This is an excellent Yoga Studio. I've been attending the classes since I've moved to the area, two years ago, and due to my hectic schedule, have tried all of them. The teachers are knowledgeable and caring, and the studio is spacious and comfortable. I also attended some of the workshops and enjoyed them. Calm atmosphere, a professional use of gongs as sound healing, and plenty of good spirit.

Had a wonderful first session of beginners yoga yesterday! Nichole is so kind and a great teacher. The interior of the studio is very calming and the session itself was simple enough to follow along with for a beginner with some challenges to encourage learning. My husband went along with me and loved the session too! So happy to have found this studio in Dothan. I will be back!

I've consistently taken Yoga classes at The Nature Gallery for going on 2 years now. I can't say enough good things about The Nature Gallery!

I have been doing vibration therapy on a regular basis for 3 months now and the cumulative effects are really noticeable. A therapy session is relaxing and meditative. Jason helps you find the perfect position for your session for comfort. My sleep has improved, my overall mood, my outlook, pain in joints completely gone after a session. If I am going through something tough I always book a session and it helps me through it. I would recommend strongly you try it for yourself.

Tried this place for lunch today & was very impressed. It was packed (great sign for a place off the beaten path) but were seated right away. All the staff were friendly on our way in and our server Tab was prompt, attentive and genuine. Everything (and everyone) was clean and polished. We had the fried pork chop & sides with banana pudding for dessert- it was delicious! In & out in 40 min, and we took our time. Highly recommend if you like southern cooking. 😋

Excellent food & service! I should have took pictures but I was just enjoying the moment! It was my Dad's 83rd Birthday and this is where he wanted to go for Sunday lunch, and it did not disappoint! Everyone in our family loves the food here and we haven't been since they rebuilt it, and we were amazed at how nice the new building is! It is much better suited for the large crowds now, with a couple of nice waiting areas with games and rocking chairs and other creature comforts, instead of the constant line pushing its way through the building like it was, with not enough tables to handle the massive crowds! Now it's so much more pleasant of a dining experience, with the same great food and service! I asked the waitress if they had anything really embarrassing to do for my dad's birthday, and she said we can sing! I was so impressed with how they stopped everything for a moment, and got everyone's attention, and with everyone's help sang Happy Birthday to my dad!! Even people from the kitchen seemed to be participating!! *It really seemed so genuine and honestly the sweetest thing to do, it felt like a small little hometown restaurant, (which I know that's what it began as), (with great owners and real family people working there), but they really captured a special moment in time for our family, and I greatly appreciated the fact that they would go to such extraordinary lengths for our little family party for My Dad!!!!! FIVE STARS ISN'T ENOUGH to show how much that MY FAMILY LOVES ZACK'S FAMILY RESTAURANT!!!!!!

Saw a little sign on the side of the road and I'm glad we pulled in. Southern cooking for a really great price. One entree, 2 sides, one dessert, one bread option, drink for less than $14. It felt like family when we walked in. Of course 2 cute Littles will always draw the eye. My grandson loved the chicken fried steak and the chicken and dumplings. He's still learning to like fried okra ;)

The Blue Plate is a local establishment that offers a traditional menu of home-cooked Southern cuisine in a relaxed setting. On two separate occasions within the past fortnight, customers have been captivated by the delectable food served at this restaurant. The quality and quantity of the dishes are impressive, with generous portions and affordable prices that leave patrons satisfied. The staff members are exceptionally friendly, and most of the dishes are made from scratch.
When u walked into the restaurant it's look is stylish, it's very roomy, waitress was very friendly, she is on her game constantly checking on us with tea and coffee and a friendly smile, we started out with cornbread fritters ,they are great, soft and fluffy texter, i ordered pulled pork plate smothered in gravy, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, my wife had cat fish plate, fried with mac n cheese and turnip greens ,all was very delicious, great sweet tea , restaurant is very inviting , we really enjoyed everything , the plates are very filling, the pulled pork was tender and the gravy set it off great taste, the taste of the mashed potatoes seem like the are real mashed potatoes not box , but I could be wrong but they are very good with that delicious gravy, mac n cheese really good also, my wife was very satisfied with her catfish, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside , great turnip greens also .

This is a great southern food restaurant! We found it purely by accident and it’s 2 hours away from my home. I will go there any chance I get because it’s so good. An Exceptional Dinner Experience at KBC From the moment we walked into KBC, we knew we were in for something special. We made a reservation in advance, and everything from that point forward was seamless. The staff was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. You can tell this kitchen takes pride in both its ingredients and execution. The flavors were bold but clean, the portions generous, and the presentation was elegant without feeling pretentious. KBC isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a full experience. We left feeling full, satisfied, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend for date nights, special occasions, or anytime you want something truly memorable in Dothan.

Apologies for forgetting a photo of the burger- I was so excited to try it I forgot to take a photo! Love Dothan!

Today was our first visit. Both our meals were very good. The service is awesome. The menu is not overwhelming, but had something for everyone. Very inviting people and place. The interior feels modern, but, is made up of the original character the old building brings, mixed with nicely picked vintage, commercial, and consumer oriented, details from different periods. There is a bar as well as table service.
William G — Google review
My Parents are visiting from NY and my husband and I were excited to bring them to this place as the ambiance strikes a perfect balance between casual and refined. The appetizer selection was alright, though some dishes felt a little bland and could use a flavor boost. While the steak frites was cooked to the customers desired doneness, presentation has appealing appearance and the dish left much to be desired, with the steak tasting vapid and needing a significant boost of seasoning. The steak proved to be remarkably uninspiring, lacking the expected depth of flavor and offering little in the way of flavor. The service is attentive and professional. The dishes are beautifully presented, showcasing a commitment to culinary artistry-elevating our dining experience.

Mexican restaurant
Rodeo Mexican Restaurant is a vibrant and lively spot that captures the essence of traditional Mexican cuisine. This bustling eatery offers an extensive menu filled with classic dishes, complemented by a cantina serving up refreshing margaritas, beer, and wine. Diners rave about the generous portions and budget-friendly prices, making it an ideal choice for families or anyone looking to enjoy hearty meals without breaking the bank. The atmosphere can get quite lively at times, adding to its charm.
We’ve visited Rodeo Mexican Restaurant several times recently and we’ve been very pleased. Their food and service are the best. And, the restaurant itself definitely has that Mexican cantina feel to it. That alone makes a big difference to us. I’ve had their tacos, enchiladas, tilapia and veggies, and a few other things. On our latest visit, I ordered the Carnitas Dinner. It was excellent! The very lean pork was cooked with onions and just the right seasonings to give it an out-of-this-world flavor. You can’t beat it! You’ll have to try Rodeo’s. We’re certain you’ll love it!

Couldn’t decide between red or Verde (green) sauce for the steak fajita, so they gave us both! This was our first visit to Rodeo and we were happy with our meal. I did find the presentation for the enchilada supremas to be lacking, but it did hit the spot for lunch. The Chile Relleno was good because there was none left. Our waiter Osber was fantastic and a delight as he helped my family with certain Spanish language questions. He made sure a member of our party got both sauces for her steak fajitas since she was new to Verde. We had such a good time that we want to make sure we see Osber again next time when we try out new dishes at Rodeo.

Horrible service!! Very rude staff. Took awhile to even be acknowledged and seated. Finally sat down and the server we had would barely let us finish our sentence before he would walk and we aren’t finished ordering. When he came back and we asked for something else, he said “okay you need to tell me everything you want now while I’m here because I have a big party I’m working” Like excuse me!? You didn’t even give us a chance to even order everything because he kept walking away before we were done. I told the manager who was also the one to seat us, was very dismissive. We got a new server but she was not attentive either. I just drove 8+ hours and stopped here for food, absolutely horrible experience after not eating all day. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

My mom ordered the Texas Rice WITH NO ONIONS due to an SEVERE ALLERGY and when the server brought out the food she had onions all throughout her food. When she asked the server to speak to a manager it took forever for the manger to come. When the manager came over he asked my mom was she allergic to onions… as if she was lying. He then proceeded to tell my mom “next time tell your server about any allergies as if she didn’t state NO ONIONS from the beginning. She orders the same thing from Rodeo every time she goes and she NEVER have this problem. We’re not even going to get on the customer service. A worker took care of a lady that was in front of us, but as soon as we walked up she put her finger up and started checking her phone. We will never eat at this restaurant again!

I love it! The tortilla chips were freshly made and the salsa tasted just as fresh! The food was so amazing, the steak was tender and juicy as well!
Peter F — Google review
I’ve eaten here about 50 times in the past couple of years. Last December I ate here three times in the same week. The basic combos are pretty basic and measure up to most any decent Mexican restaurant. They have above average rice and beans, both are very tasty. The specialty items are where it’s at. I like the Texas quesadilla, tacos a la diabla, enchiladas ranchero, and a few others. One of my daughters loves the pollo con creama and my other daughter likes the arros con pollo. Once you find your favorites, you’ll be hooked. They do have the best coke in town. The carbonation and syrup are cranked up for the perfect combination. The sweet tea is pretty good too. The chips and salsa are above average. The service can be inconsistent at times, but we are patient and understanding. For the most part, the service is very quick and accurate. There are some waiters there that are outstanding. Like everything else, the prices have gone up so we don’t eat here as much as we once did. So we’ve cut back from once or twice a week to once every other week.

Breakfast restaurant
Metro Diner is a local restaurant chain that offers traditional American breakfast and lunch dishes in a cozy ambiance. The level of customer service was exceptional, and the establishment's cleanliness both inside and outside was impressive. I chose to sit outdoors, benefiting from the ideal weather conditions. The quality of food has consistently been excellent, like their scrumptious bacon cheeseburger which featured a thick and juicy patty.
I love the classic diner feel, and Metro delivered on this experience. Mary was an excellent waitress with southern charm and very caring. I had their infamous chicken and waffles with strawberry butter and sweet and spicy sauce, and it was fantastic. The waffles with syrup drizzled on top were soft and melted in my mouth. The chicken paired with the sweet and spicy sauce was near perfection. My girlfriend got the BBQ Bacon Burger, a side of hash browns, and apple cobbler without ice cream. This place is super accommodating to people who can't have gluten or dairy, they even have a specifically gluten-free menu. The price for our food was just over 40 dollars for the two of us. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I'd recommend this place for your breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs (they even have breakfast all day for my fellow "breakfast for dinner" lovers).
Robert H — Google review
I have heard many good things about Metro Diner. The parking lot is almost always full. So we decided to try it out. My wife LOVES breakfast food and I am not a fan so the fact that they serve breakfast and lunch foods all day was a definite plus for us. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and my wife ordered the Meat Lovers Omelet. The food was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained, the only real issue we had was that the service was slow. To be fair we did go at 9AM on a Saturday morning so the restaurant was very crowded. I am sure things would have been smoother on a week day. Our server was very nice but the fact that the restaurant was packed to the rafters probably had something to do with the speed of service. Next time we go we will choose a weekday that is not at a peak time.

I had went inside and ordered, when it came time to pay I payed with a gift card that a couple had given me minutes before. Come to find out, the gift cards take 24hrs to activate. While most places wouldn't just say, "sorry We can't do nothing for you", the staff at metro was very helpful and because of my situation they discussed it and still allowed me to have my meal, which was Great (Thank you cook). The reason for me giving them 5 stars across-the-board, Never mind that it was great food. A great atmosphere and it was clean. Everyone there was respectful and smiling, and it didn't change just because I was homeless. I recommend this place to anybody. But make sure your gift cards were bought 24 hours in advance. God Bless everyone at metro diner and thank you. May God continue to bless you and your Families. Respectfully, Joseph To My Server, "If you see Me out and about please stop and say Hi so I can ask your name and to have dinner with me sometime."

My wife and I ate here recently on a trip to Dothan. The atmosphere was fantastic and the service was great as well. Our server was Whitney and she did a great job! She checked on us several times and gave us an update or two about our food before it came out. I had the meat lover’s scramble bowl, which was a hearty meal. My wife had the fruity waffle which she thoroughly enjoyed with a side of eggs. I noticed after I ordered on a blackboard that they had an option for a Banana Pudding Waffle or short stack pancake griddle, which means we’ll have to go back soon!

Metro diner is the best restaurant in Dothan, if you are looking for great food and choices that won't empty your wallet. The service is outstanding. Each of the servers are professional and blessed with the gift of Southern hospitality and charm. Whitney, Janice, Gabby, Monica, Erin, Hannah, Crimson, John, Leann, Andi, will each make your dining experience a blessing to experience again and again. The kitchen staff desire that your food it hot and enjoyable. They take time to make your order not only pleasing to the eye, but also to be consistent in taste. Perfect every time! From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave, you have no doubt that your experience will be the best. The best food well that's anything you are hungry for. My favorites are Shepherds Pie, Classic Burger, Philly, Pot Pie, Waffle any flavor but when they have lemon blueberry that's life changing. It's hard to choose because it's all good.

Whether you're celebrating a special event or simply indulging in a gourmet meal, The Cellar promises to deliver exceptional flavors and memorable moments.
I love this place. Filet was delicious, spinach salad with homemade tomato dressing was yummy, and only wish I hadn’t been too stuffed to try their crème brûlée. No wonder this place packed out. See my pics below of the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, French onion soup, and filet with twice baked potato.

My husband and I had planned to drive out of town to have a special dinner but had to change our plans at the last minute. Being familiar with the choices available to us, we did not have high hopes but remembered "The Cellar" and decided to give it a try. It was a wonderful surprise. We both had a delicious and lovely dinner and will definitely be back! Both of our meals exceeded expectations in taste, quality, and presentation. Also, the prices were very reasonable and the server, Erica, was knowledgeable, attentive, and polite. We are so pleased to have found "The Cellar," and shall recommend to others. We didn't even have time to check out the prepared meals or the butcher counter but intend to do so next time. Great experience!

I was really hoping to be able to say that everyone is right about the Cellar its delious and the perfect date night place in Dothan. But that just wasn't my experience. Let's start with the food. It's not bad, but it's fairly pricey for what it was. I got the ribeye steak, medium rare. My wife got crab cakes. Both the steak and the crab cakes were very good! Especially the crab cakes, the steak was good, but I expected more flavor and maybe a thicker cut than what I got, but again, not bad, it was pretty good. They probably were the sides, I got roasted vegetables and french fries. The fries were delious as you would expect. But the "roasted vegetables" weren't really roasted, more like warmed. It was weird, and the flavor of them was just bland. When I saw roasted vegetables, I was expecting something with a light char to them, not burnt but a little crunch. That was not the case here. My wife got onion rings, and oddly enough, they were below par. The breading wasn't flavorful, just kind of bland. I say all this but heres one reason you should go to the Cellar! The Brisket Nachos! I will come back for this dish alone. They were amazing, it might just be an appetizer but it was the best thing we ate here. If you go to the Cellar, do yourself a favor and get these. You won't be disappointed! Lastly, the atmosphere fell flat. I was looking for a good date spot. But we sat in a half booth half table, sitting next to another group of people having their own meal and conversation. Like right next to us. It gave me the feeling of being in a Mcdonalds and being packed together. The rest of the building was pretty but kind of noisy and hectic. Not really "fine dinning." And lastly, the bar was delicious. We only got one drink from there, but kudos to the bar tender it was good enough to make me wanna try and make it at home. 10/10 on that! All together, The Cellar just wasn't worth the money. It's not bad but for that price I would rather eat somewhere else.

I’ve been here about 5-6 times. Never have been impressed, but this time it was fantastic. Both steaks cooked perfectly, all the sides were good. The service was excellent, shout out to Cheyanne 🎉. Sometimes they say they take reservations and sometimes when u call they say they will not
Casey D — Google review
Food was very good, the appetizer was a little cold and the jalapeño was a little to al dente. The service was nice as well as busy as she was she still attended us appropriately. The filet mignon was very tender even while medium. We will be back

We truly enjoyed our late (2:30) lunch here! The wait staff was so kind and accommodating. The ribeye sandwich was delicious. Pricing was a little on the high side, but unfortunately it is everywhere. There was plenty of food for left overs. Definitely worth it!
Carla K — Google review
My family and I had a very disappointing experience here. When we arrived around 4 p.m. on a Wednesday, the restaurant was practically empty. Instead of seating us right away, the hostess looked annoyed that we were walk-ins and even had to check with the manager before giving us a table for five. As a Hispanic family, it left us feeling judged and unwelcome. For a Dothan restaurant to make seating a family at an off-peak hour an issue is honestly ridiculous. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced and not good at all. Coming from a big city, I know what quality dining looks like — and this was far below the mark in both taste and value. The only positive was our waitress, who was very kind, helpful, and professional. She was the one bright spot in an otherwise disappointing visit. Unfortunately, between the poor food, inflated prices, and the way we were treated upon arrival, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Nestled in Dothan, Alabama's Mural City, Mural City Coffee Company offers a delightful experience for coffee enthusiasts. The spacious and artfully decorated shop provides a cozy ambiance with comfortable armchairs, couches, and even a fireplace. It's known for serving specialty-grade coffee, whole-leaf teas, and delectable baked goods. The establishment also hosts open mic nights and knitting meet-ups to create a vibrant community atmosphere.
This is my go to spot for reading, studying, and just to get away from all the “noise “ in Dothan. The atmosphere here is just a vibe! The energy is contagious. The customer service is top tier! I love the art, the wine bar, the upstairs area is so beautiful and tucked away. Also I enjoy the coffee, teas, pastries, just the food here is delicious. I come here to journal as well. It’s a home away from home when I need to go to a quiet place surrounded with love & peace.

The coffee is very good, the taste strong yet not bitter definitely not a dead shot, the latte is more on the milky side for a subtle coffee taste but still very good. The place is very decorative and spot on for what they are trying to portray and achieve lovely little spot. Staff at least the one we had that took our order was very nice.

Cool vibe coffeeshop with lots of seating (we sat by the fireplace). Friendly service. Nice food selection. We had hot lattes, which were very flavorful. They also have a wine bar. Would come again when passing through.

On a little trip we stopped in Dothan for a quick break and came across this lovely coffee shop. What a beautiful space to have wandered into, definite something most wouldn’t expect in small town Alabama. I had a delightful interaction with one of the baristas, and took the up on their recommendation m. We only had drinks, but they were both delicious. I’d definitely recommend a stop here when in Dothan!
Zanetta B — Google review
Be aware, if you forget something behind in this coffeeshop there is absolutely NO WAY to get a quick hold of them. I forgot my bag with my wallet, passport, tablet and many other valuables here during a coffee stop. Only realized this when we were almost halfway to Atlanta. Frantically tried to find a phone number for Mural City Coffee only to realize they don't have one. Only way to contact them is through email or social media message!!! I quickly sent emails and messages asking if they could put my bag aside if it was still on chair where I left it, then turned car around and headed back to Dothan. Very nerve wracking time for the whole drive back because Mural City Coffeeshop refuses to have a phone contact for their customers. When I arrived back at the coffeeshop, thankfully the bag was still there. I spoke with the manager to impress upon her that they reconsider this no phone contact policy so that no one else has to go through what I went through - knowing for hours that your bag is sitting there and could be taken by anyone instead of being taken aside by an employee and away from danger. Much to my shock, the manager was completely unsympathetic and seemed uninterested in reconsidering their policy. Insisting that customers who leave bags behind simply wait hours for any action on the part of Mural City (ie until they read their emails/social media messages). If the bag is stolen during that time, so be it - that was their policy. Unacceptable in my opinion.

Only place with wines on-tap! The atmosphere is always very chill. The coffee is delicious, and there are many wines to taste and sip. This place feels like a little reprieve from rural life.

Cute and comfortable café. Friendly staff. Recommend the hot vanilla latte. Large variety of beans. We went in the afternoon, so the pastries were not fresh as in the morning. Love supporting local, small, family business.

I walked in. Got a wiff of a moldy smell. Looked up in the vents and turned right back around. See pictures. You guys should really clean this. Your employees can get very sick from this negligence.

This location is hands down the best coffee in the Wiregrass. Every time I’ve been, I enjoy my cup so much from initial smell of the brew to the last sip. The people who work this location are the kindest, most genuine, and precise to get the order right. Very fast at prep too, which is nice. Thank you to all at Dakota in Dothan.

Such a fun place! We weren't pros, and it took a while to get the hang of axe throwing; however, the staff did not let us give up and were full of encouragement/tips. My only complaint was the wait time, but we took that time to meet new people. 10/10 would recommend! Also, I love that it is located on Downtown Dothan!

The staff was very friendly and allowed us to relax inside after our car broke down on a family trip while it was repaired. They set a great example for what southern hospitality truly is, and represented the City of Dothan at a very high level. We are forever grateful to you all!

Nice quaint town. It was very difficult to find the emblematic peanut statues using a less than accurate sightseeing map. May i suggest investing in a gfi/app map that navigates user to each location much more accurately and safely to avoid all the distraction the map vs eyes o the road mess the curre t mapping causes
