Such a cool little book shop! Tons of different popular authors fill the rows of shelves that include many genres, plus rare books available upstairs. *something to be aware of: When you pull up to the building, it does look like you are pulling up to someone's house. There's no signs on the doors (minus a small hours sign) and the only reason we did find it was from watching someone go in that's clearly been there before. You can pay with card or cash here and the prices are decent. It's worth a stop if you're in the area and like books. For anyone with bad allergies, be prepared for an old book smell when walking in! I love it.. my husband doesn't

This is the best place to poke around and find some good reads. Douglas was so kind and had a fabulous collection. I will most definitely be revisiting.

Tired of browsing the internet? Nothing beats this! Spent hours here, until our brains were numb from knowledge learned in everything from gardening to theology. So wonderfully packed with books of every sort, on shelves, in boxes, on window sills, and behind every door! So perfectly unorganized, it’s like pulling books off your grandparent’s bookcase. Enjoy!

Decided to stop here, and I don't regret it one bit. Lots of great finds here. The owner was very helpful and obviously quite passionate about his craft. I felt the prices were very reasonable. Worth a stop!

Quite an expansive collection of old books, maps and prints. Maybe organization is a work in progress, but some category labels on the shelf would be a great help. The entry driveway on the US1 is easy to miss. But overall, this shop is a gem.

I’ve loved stopping at Douglas Harding books for years. I have made my shelves groan with books from there- Maine, NH, and MA state histories, Thoreau, et. al. , out of print literature, and fabulous antique maps. Last there for the end of May , I noticed a smaller version, no less compelling. There was still book conversation and great selections! Hope to be back soon!

I felt like I was walking through a museum while visiting this antique shop. Easily the best shop I've ever been to. The antiques were gorgeous and filled with history, and the grounds/building they are housed in is just as lovely. Owner is a super nice guy filled with knowledge and passion about antiquing. This is a must stop!

In my opinion this is the best place to get some Antiques around here. Three generations of dealing with antiques with very refined taste. Specialized on American and English antiques. In their two floors warehouse and barn you can find furniture, paintings, ceramics, clocks... Don't hesitate just peak in, it is a joy for antique lovers.

This place was amazing. Absolutely wonder items. Seeing each piece and speaking with the gentleman than runs the place, you can see he is very passionate. He has such a genius way of presenting things as well. If you go make sure you see the back building, it's like stepping into another world.

These gorgeous vintage pieces will transport you back to a different world. Some have been meticulously restored in their insight facilities. They are happy to show you around and give detailed explanation of the pieces they are selling. Some of the most unique and beautiful period pieces you will ever see.

Cute little candy shop with friendly staff. Nice selection of chocolate and non-choc options. Tried a mixed bag of chocolates including heath, coconuts, cherries, potato chip bark and more. Couldn’t choose a favorite. All were fantastic, would def return and recommend

Stop in to pick up milk chocolate turtles which are excellent. Left my camera on shelf. Realized left camera somewhere when got home. Called store and they had found camera and mailed to my home. Always love this candy shop as our whole family does and we always visit every time in Perkins cove.

Lovely candy store in which I picked up some salt water taffy and chocolates. They also have regular candies you can buy. Perfect place to get a sweet treat for later. The workers could be a bit more welcoming though. Your purchase must exceed $10 if you are using a card to pay.

What a wonderful candy shop in Perkins Cove! Reminded me of candy stores of yesteryear. Salt Water Taffy, SweetTarts, chocolates, and more. Right on the water, with views from all the windows - one side the Atlantic, the other showcases little shops and fishing boats. I try to visit when I am in the area.

The service was absolutely ATROCIOUS and the quality of the chocolates is completely unimpressive. The almond bark was OLD, stale, and completely disappointing. We visited Aug 15th in the evening, the two of us. The young lady attending the counter was extremely rude - she never greeted us, but rather stood in the doorway of the back room for a full minute staring at us like she'd rather we left! At NO time did she offer to help us find what we wanted. I bought more than $60 in chocolates for our daughter and she never even said thank you. The chocolates were below standard for a chocolate shop - they were no better than boxed chocolates! Only the raspberry cremes had any quality worth mentioning. Our daughter looked disappointed when she tasted some of the candies.

Very nice little candy shop loaded with all different types of candy including many candies I havent seen since I was a kid. I needed help picking out what I wanted as a special gift and the woman there, (I assume owner/manager) was helpful in putting together just what i needed. Pricing was not unreasonable. An added bonus is the awesome view of the ocean from the very large windows at back of store.

The candy we bought was good. The young woman working the counter on 10/17 around noon was so obnoxiously rude, I can only assume she was being forced to work there. View from the back of the shop is gorgeous.

Charming shop in Perkins Cove. Great gifts of all types, very unique, which is nice when you are traveling and don't want big box items. Have brought many things home for friends and family. Staff is very friendly and helpful answering questions. I visit every time I'm in that area of Maine.

This store, by far, was my favorite store. This store has something for everyone. I hope to go back and purchase a couple of items. Absolutely gorgeous selection of pottery and jewelry and so much more.

8/5/25 UPDATE: After posting my initial review, the owner replied publicly, but unfortunately, their response was not truthful. Her employee did reach out to her while I was standing in the store-twice-I was told the owner said there were no exceptions, but I could return the next day if I wanted when the owner would be there in person; which I could not. Now claims that if I emailed her, she would have exchanged. However, when I DID email her just hours after that store visit, this was the response, despite providing her employee proof of purchase: Pam K Thu, Jul 31, 9:44 PM (5 days ago) to me Hi Patricia . Thank you for your email. I am very sorry about your experience today in regard to your attempt to exchange a previous purchase . We have had similar situations n the past and have been able to rectify some of them. If you had emailed us sooner , we could have attempted to make an exchange. As a last resort, our associate was instructed to give the choice of coming back tomorrow and see if we could do something w. The owner present. I had a very positive experience with this nice place. During my shopping in this beautiful store I left a very important earring for me on the shelf. Next day I called them and my earring was shipped to me to Brooklyn in a few days. I am very grateful to the owners of this lovely store for their kindness and excellent customer service.

I was trying to call after my recent visit to Perkins Cove but they have been busy with the holiday weekend so couldn’t get the call. I mentioned it on Yelp and the person who works there almost immediately reached out to me via yelp and solved my issues, answered my questions and was overall beyond helpful!! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this store and especially the woman who was so helpful.

What a wonderful experience at Kiki’s. It is owned by a husband and wife . The wife’s name is Kiki . Lots of unusual treasures. I bought a print of a local artist so that was awesome if you’re in Perkins Cove, it’s a must stop….

Love shopping at Kikis- original pieces, affordable prices, and they carry plus sizes, too. This is a great boutique where you find fabulously unique clothes. I get compliments all the time about the pieces I have purchased from Kiki's.

I have never had such a bad experience at an antique store. We wanted to purchase an area rug, which was rolled up under a table but it wasn’t priced, the owner of the store wouldn’t negotiate (which we understood). We left our cell number and explained we’re only in the area for the weekend. He said he’d call us after speaking with the owner of the rug. He never called so we went back the next day only to find he spoke with the owner of the rug and never got a price! He called him again and this time made contact in front of us. The rug owner couldn’t remember the price, and he wouldn’t negotiate either. While they were on the phone he gave me a list of his inventory with all items on it, marked up greatly, and asked me to look for the list price of the rug. When I thought I found it he said he didn’t think it was it. Needless to say, he lost a sale and we missed out on a rug we really liked. Very bad business.

Went in last week. He does have beautiful furniture and items. However, as mentioned in another review, the effect is spoiled since he is unbelievably rude and insulting. Upon learning that we weren't buying anything that day he insulted my wife and I not once, but twice. No need for it.

Extremely poor customer service. I went today with my clients, we love antiquing and each of us collect different things. The building is a very old barn and the floor is like walking on a wave. I asked my client if she noticed the dips in the floor she said yes, I giggled and said it made me feel a little sea sick. Out of no where from behind us, one of the workers or maybe owner whirls out and very grufly and loudly says if your going to be sick you better leave! He startled us and we where so uncomfortable we immediately left. Now I understand not wanting somone to be sick in your store, I would never ever do that. If he had politely said if your going to be ill please don't do it in the store, and not run up on us like a wild beast I would not be writing this review. I just couldn't believe how uncomfortable he made us over a silly comment. Maybe he saw us as not having much money to spend by profiling us. But that doesn't make it ok to be rude.

The finest antique store in Maine. Just an old fashion antique dealer mall with only high quality goods NO crafts or modern reproductions. Well worth the stop.

If you're looking for real antiques, this is certainly a wonderful place. So sad a place gets a bad review for something not related to the quality of the product.

Bought two crewneck sweatshirts last month. Came home and noticed one of the sweatshirts had a gaping hole on the side. SO disappointed! Sent multiple emails with pictures of the receipt and garment and received no response. Very poor customer service!

Currently rocking my hoodie and it’s been perfect for beach nights. Love all unique surf apparel from hats to shirts to sweatshirts and more. Owner is great and all of the prices are super fair, especially since they’re high quality and printed locally

It was a thrill to randomly walk in and find out this is NOT just another clothing store with your standard surf brands. It’s a local surf brand with fun and edgy print designs on super soft sweat shirts and t-shirts! Don’t buy another boring sweatshirt with “OGT” on the arm. Get something original. Something no one will have back home. I had a hard time choosing between designs for my 19 year old nephew. I found fun designs that weren’t to edgy for my 14 year old nephew and 8 year old son. My nephews immediately put them on when they opened. 😊 I’ll be retuning later this summer to pick out a top for myself and some other family members.

Oh my goodness my husband and I wanted to buy the whole store! So many fun choices I probably spent an hour in here trying to narrow it down. The staff was so kind and the music had me dancing as I shopped.

Pizza is fresh and elderberry syrups saved me. If you work with covid regardless of the specialty. They have elderberry in juices and syrups. My family thanks you for helping me keep my immunity up with all your fresh veggies and elderberry products.

Jalapeño’s were very good nice heat to them the corn not so good seemed old half were rotten on top I could see in the middle of September, but not the middle of August

Nothing like farm fresh eggs, meat and vegetables. My wife and I shop here 2-3 times a week. Never disappointed. Wonderful family owned farm.

We discovered Anytime Antiques on a recent vacation in Wells, Maine in July. A great find! The man who was working the counter both times that I went in was absolutely lovely, helpful and friendly. Customer service makes an experience, and I enjoyed shopping here because of this. Clean, beautifully arranged dealer spaces. I wish I lived closer, as it was my small car was packed with delightful and well-priced finds from here on the long drive home.

The owner is very kind respectful and professional. The prices are a throwback to before smartphones when you could actually get a honest good deal if you know what you’re looking for. A refreshing change from the many other terrible antique malls and so called thrift stores that take advantage of people who don’t realize they’re being ripped off. The other shops could learn a lot about how to treat customers and how to price things appropriately from this owner.

Yes! Worth a stop!! We saw a few things we liked but didn't bite right away. Came back later and the proprietor (who is a total kick) *reparked* her car, unlocked, and rang us up!!! Who does that? If I'm going to spend a few extra dollars anywhere, this is the kind of business I would frequent OFTEN, if I lived in Ogunquit. Yes, we will be back.

We’ve visited this antique shop for years, but our recent experience was deeply disappointing. My dad uses a wheelchair, and not only was the entrance inaccessible (a high lip at the door), but the aisles were so cramped we could barely navigate even in a smaller manual chair. When we politely suggested a simple ramp, the owner dismissed us and implied we didn’t know what we were talking about, showing no interest in making the shop accessible or treating us with respect. Instead, he seemed more concerned about other customers overhearing our frustration than about basic decency or inclusion. If you care about accessibility or respectful treatment, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere. Everyone deserves access and dignity—especially in a community that should know better. Photo shows the several inch lip at the door that the owner refused to acknowledge.

We walked in at 4:30, the man at the counter looked up and said, "you guys got five minutes, we are closing." My dad casually replied, "I thought you all were open til 5," to which the man said, "we don't let customers dictate our hours." Very rude customer service, unnecessary.

Stopped in to say "hi" to Tommy and have a look around. Brought home a few delights; then ended up going back for a nice rock maple drop leaf table & 2 Hitchcock chairs! Always a great find & a great lvalue here!

The prices and the level of inventory was the best we saw as we moved our from Ogunquit to Bar Harbor. We definitely found treasures with the best prices!

This is my favorite store in Wells. The silver rings are stunning and exceptionally high quality. I've been purchasing a few each summer for years, eagerly anticipating the new designs each visit. Absolutely adored the owners! I forgot to get one of the owners name however he was the absolute best when it came to greeting our daughter. He was sweet and attentive just like a grandfather would be. I am forever grateful for the love we just experienced by the extremely friendly staff. We highly recommend shopping here!

I stopped here with my husband and two daughters on our way back to NY. The staff and owners could not have been nicer. They didn’t have the size in a sweatshirt that my husband wanted so the owner was kind enough to go to the warehouse to get us one! In addition one of the staff members gifted my 4 yr old with a nail salon set for no reason other than out of the kindness of her heart. It was a great experience here with great inexpensive Maine and other apparel. If your looking for souvenirs this is the place to go!

This store is wonderful great clothes, great prices. Tons of clothes for bruins, Celtics and patriot fans. We usually always stop in there when we are traveling in wells. The staff are amazing, friendly and very kind and helpful! This time we met the owner, what a wonderful kind person! He saw us pull up in our van and we struck up a conversation about our van and travels. I can't say it enough wonderful staff and kind people! Thank you for a great shopping experience!

Found great quality sweatshirts, sunglasses, and hats for a great price! Kids loved the beanie baby selection! I imagine it was the owner, who took the time to talk with us and draw us a map of some really cool places to see while we were here visiting. Excellent advice on where to park and how to get to the beach! He even gave all of my girls a free beanie baby and showed us all a cute little magic trick! You don’t see this kind of service much anymore! Thank you all for making our first visit to Wells such an excellent experience.

I love this place! They truly have 10,000 things to look at. I usually buy a sweatshirt or t-shirt from here since they always have something I like. I love the choices in mugs and stickers and key chains. The also have many unique items you won't really find elsewhere, which is an adventure to me! In addition to all of that, they have beautiful jewelry, both inexpensive and expensive. Lots to enjoy, here! I go every year and I'll be back next year as well! Staff is extremely helpful and kind, also.👍👍

A Family owned Trading Post with some of the most authentic Maine items & beach supplies on Rte 1 in Wells Maine. When i think of Maine I think of Lobsters the beach & The Moose! Such a fine selection of "quality" items you will be astounded! I bought a hand carved Seagull for my beach collection. Excellent price points as well. Friendly owners and my item was expertly wrapped for travel. I cannot say enough nice things about my experience here. Amazing hand made items and hard to find keepsakes along with clothing and assorted wall hangings. A must stop on your trip up rte 1. Family owned since 1952 by the Clark Family. So grateful for the stickers and fine crafts to add to my collection

I have been going to this store since I was about 5 yrs old....47 years ago. It was the store we would BEG our grandparents to take us to. We would walk in needing absolutely nothing yet leaving with everything we suddenly needed! My grandparents are gone now....but the memories will always be there. And yes....I STILL go here when ever I can! Taking my husband and our 6yr old son for their very first time in a week! Can't wait to see their faces!

I've been to this place many a time with my boyfriend. This is a multi-vendor store with everything from antiques, candles, trading cards, dvds, books, artwork, and more. You never know what you might find so it is hit or miss. We have encountered some unpleasant staff in the past, but also some great ones as well. Definitely worth a stop in to browse around.

A kind old man gave me a 5$ discount for this 1960s matchbox lesney unimog. I recommend going here as it's large and has a lot to chose from.

You can always find something here. Some booths are stocked full to the point you give up looking, but most are clean and organized. They also have some local products for sale. We always stop here on our Rt1 antique trip.

Severely overpriced! Couldn't find anyone to help. Was interested in old vinyl but most are placed on the floor making it impossible to browse through a box.

We only visited Dairy Queen. Tight parking lot. IPA grocery store, a Mexican restaurant and Dairy Queen are what I remember. No outside trash cans or tables.

The anchor store (IGH grocery store) is the worst. Terrible management and a dirty store. Hannafords is right down the street.

A small plaza grocery store. Prices are a bit higher than most larger ones but of course that is expected in small towns. Clerks were not too friendly except for the meat department, gentleman was very helpful and nice.

Not really any antiques and if they are, you are paying top dollar. Down the road further is USA antiques much much better.

Interesting things here but a lot of it was overpriced. A few of the other antique sections attached were closed so that was a bummer.

Shop 2 owner was very rude to me. I asked to see the stuff out back and he said "if you didn't buy anything in here, then it's not for you out there" Needless to say I left. Some of the stuff is new, not antique as well, so be careful.

Had a great time here in late July. Joanne must either have been home that day or she is no longer around. A friend and I were not even in Maine to go to antique stores. But I asked if she minded if we made one stop! We ended up going into 4 shops here. A couple were closed. Turns out 3 of the 4 are relatives. First met a very nice older gentlemen who was friendly and shared great stories on items I was interested in or asked questions about. Another store was owned by his sister who was just as friendly. Third store was being ‘manned’ by the previous womens daughter. All had great things to look at. Bought a few small things but thoroughly enjoyed the owners company. My girlfriend even said ‘this is fun’. We should come again when we have more time. The last store had equally great things but had items that were not antiques just looked it, and were asking some very unreasonable prices. There were two women working in this store and I think it was the building furthest to the right. Beware in there. But they were still very pleasant. Some prices were high….but the items could have been worth it. The items I was interested in were all reasonable. Definitely no bargains but that doesn’t mean the items were not worth it. You just need to know your stuff or feel good about the price based on what you do know. I plan to head back up in October and can’t wait!!!!

Stopped in this afternoon, we were rudely yelled at in the flower/antique shop at the end that we were “ free to look around, but they closed at 4” it was 3:45. We promptly turned around and went to another store, nice ladies cool large pieces. Next store we approached was owned by “Joanne” who insulted us and each set of customers that came in. Really overpriced, kept saying “it’s all on sale, I own 17 stores and I don’t have time to mark down prices” save yourself the trouble, keep driving.

Everyone is commenting how rude Joanne is but I think it's the most entertaining thing ever. Sure, not what you expect from the owner of an antique shop, but her stories are amazing. While there she told us she'd just gotten off the phone with Mike Pence and had dinner with Paul McCartney two weeks earlier. As long as you acknowledge her when you enter and leave, she'll like you and tell you stories.

I wish I had read the reviews first. Joanne is in fact rude and awful. I used a flashlight to check the details on a product and she yelled at me for taking pictures from across the room. She insulted every person that left and when I asked my boyfriend if he was ready to leave she butted in and said that was a stupid question. Completely uncalled for and nothing in these shops was worth listening to that.

My wife and I were driving back through Maine and we had stopped at a number of Antique shops that day, it was the end of the day and we almost missed the Farm being slightly off Route 1, boy am I glad that we did not! The farm is a gorgeous house all set out with fantastic antiques. We arrived shortly before they closed and Hannah was so kind and gracious, she said we could keep looking even after hours. Both my wife and I are novices when it comes to antiques and Hannah was so patient with us and explained everything about different periods and showed us many different options. Not only are all the antiques beautiful but we had a wonderful shopping experience with Hannah. I could not recommend the Farm highly enough and definitely worth a visit. We will be back!
