The owner, Dawn, was awesome. Our masseuses, Johna and Susanna were skilled and professional. My wife and I had a great experience in a setting that was peaceful and had positive energy. Loved it.

Dawn is pure magic! One of the best massages I’ve ever had. She is strong, intuitive & therapeutically knows exactly how to ease muscle tightness & stress in your body. A true healer! She will be my go to regular therapist here in Fredericksburg TX.
Went here for a couples massage and facial with my girlfriend. They're super nice and welcoming and will work with you as far as your comfort level. The massage and facial were great and the room and tables were comfy. Would highly recommend!
Great service. The ladies were very nice and welcoming. We had an hour and a half couples massage that was wonderful for relaxing. The location is right off a busy street but we never heard anything other than your typical, soothing spa music. Would return.
Let me start by saying that I am a truck, driver truck, drivers face a illness called sciatica. I found that out the hard way I am not gonna mention who worked on me because the way I see it all of the women that work here are great, especially the owner, they actually care about the person. They are working on after one hour session when I walk in, I could barely walk. It took me 10 minutes to get undressed after I left I went home and dug a 3 foot hole for my wife’s landscaping project they do have phone problems, but as far as the massage best I’ve ever had and they actually work on the problem they don’t just give a routine massage that last 59 minutes and 59 seconds it’s clean, quiet and extremely professional. I would go here to get relief from my sciatica before I would go to a Doctor to get a bag full of pills to cover up the pain. They actually work on the problem you girls are great. I hope you have a long and prosperous business.
This place was awesome! It was my husbands first massage and he loved it! Sarah made him feel comfortable and he fell asleep! Dawn and Sarah were very kind and professional and we felt sooooo relaxed afterwards. We were on our anniversary trip and they made us feel special! They were also very amazing with working us in same after a long sleepless night in our travel trailer. I'm sore now because she was working all those knots out! Thanks again! We are going to make this a yearly tradition when we visit!
We were a group of 4 ladies for our first visit to Fredericksburg Texas. Dawn the owner was so friendly and helpful in booking massages and facials at her spa. I can’t say enough nice things about this place and the people who work here. The whole experience was really great. The staff is really professional, excellent, and it was a pleasant experience from the beginning to the end.

Did a couples plus plus massage today. It was amazing, the service was top notch and our massage therapists were fantastic. I work construction every day and this was hands down the best massage I’ve ever gotten. And the price was even better. If you’re in Fredericksburg and you’re looking for relaxation and an amazing massage at a great price, this is your place. We live about two hours away and will definitely be making the trip to come back for another massage.

Absolutely fabulous. I'd been doing the deep tissue massage with these therapists for a while and couldn't find anything better.
After experiencing pain in my shoulders due to radiation treatment for cancer, my doctor suggested European Day Spa for lymphatic drainage massage. This type of massage is soft to the touch, but amazingly effective...my shoulder pain stopped after three sessions.
If you're in town, take an hour, treat your body to a peaceful relaxing experience and walk away smelling like patchouli, lavender, yang ylang (whatever this is)... you'll smell great for days, and smile!
My wife and I have tried multiple spa's in town for massages and European day spa is the best by far. Staff is always friendly. Very clean and neat inside, very professional my wife and I always find ourselves comparing every place to European day spa because its the best in town.

my massage was average. wife’s was terrible. massage was over priced. over priced because of the duration and quality, only lasted 40 minutes instead of an hour, the clock on the wall read 15 after when it started and 7 till when it ended so 38 minute, and masseuses spent most of the 40 minutes picking up items they dropped.
I took my best friend for her birthday for a facial and massage. Joyce and Adriana took such amazing care of us, the massage and facial were so relaxing and they were both so personable. We will absolutely be back.

I was initially going to stay at a chain hotel, but ended up doing good search and found this gem. This is an amazing family owned and operated establishment and truly made my solo trip the most amazing experience imaginable. I felt very safe while staying, the staff at the restaurant and spa were truly exceptional. I loved that reservation staff sent a text message to me for self check and what cottage number I was residing in. From the rooms, very modern, spacious, and my favorite the porch area. Very close to Main Street, Uber friendly and fast! I will definitely stay at this location again in the future! Thank you for any amazing visit and stay. Oh almost forgot in the mornings they ring you breakfast in a picnic basket super cute between 8-8:30 am with small OJ. Truly a very sweet and cute touch! Highly recommend!

This hotel is beautiful, quaint, and serene! It was the perfect place to stay with my husband for our anniversary trip. We enjoyed the breakfast baskets- the food was delicious! And it was so nice to eat outside on the porch each morning. The location of the hotel is a close drive to Main Street, and the staff are very nice. We enjoyed our stay!
We had the most wonderful Sunday brunch last week at Hill Country Herb Garden. Despite being crazy busy and understaffed, Fernando offered top notch service at the bar, so great that we decided to park it there in lieu of waiting for a table. He made excellent recommendations for our food, and he also offered suggestions of where else to visit while we were in town. And, he made the BEST espresso martini I've ever had (which says a lot, because I've had a good many). Don't miss the burrata and the fried green tomato BLT.
I really can't overstate how neat this property is. Beautifully landscaped and well appointed one bedroom cabins tucked alongside a fantastic restaurant with excellent food and attentive service and a spa. My wife and I did not partake in the spa, but the restaurant was superb. The room had everything we needed, and they even left us breakfast in a picnic basket on the front porch. Highly recommend. I honestly don't know why there aren't more places built utilizing this format. So great.
This is such a beautiful place! You must stay here! The grounds are beautiful and picturesque. The cottages are adorable and perfect. I enjoyed sipping coffee on my own private porch while eating the breakfast which was delivered in the cutest basket to our door. The meal we ate in the restaurant was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Elizabeth in the gift shop was so nice and the merchandise is amazing. I could go on. This place is perfect!
Stayed here for my 40th birthday. The cabin was very clean, the beds extremely comfortable. They delivered breakfast every morning in a basket! It’s a charming place!! It’s not within walking distance to Main Street but is a 3 min drive. The location is perfect! We loved our stay and will definitely stay here again!

This is a cute a relaxing place. Room was clean and property well maintained. However they forgot the main reason people come here. That is for a place to sleep. Our refrigerator sounds like it’s making ice every 20 mins all night long. The old fashioned in wall AC is loud and outdated. One of the other keep us up all night. I really wanted to like this place.
We enjoyed our stay over labor day weekend. We stayed in the artist's retreat. It was a cozy room and perfect for our get-a-way as a couple. We enjoyed the morning breakfast that was delivered each morning and the close location to downtown Fredericksburg! We are hoping to return again soon!

We recently stayed here for our anniversary, and it was wonderful. When you walk in, in looks so nice, not like some chain hotels. It gives off the feeling you are somewhere special. We got a complimentary bottle of champagne, which was nice. The room was laid out well and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, which isn't always guaranteed! The breakfast is one of the best ones I have ever had, and there were lots of options available. The location was convenient as well, so if you want to walk downtown, it is very close.

Such a lovely experience. Nice large rooms, we got a jacuzzi suite. They say it’s big enough for two, maybe very small 2, or children. Hubby and I were very tight, but by myself it was beyond incredible. So relaxing. The heated pool was heavenly and the breakfast was even good. Highly recommend
From now on, I will not stay anywhere else when I visit Fredericksburg. This turned out to be the perfect lodging option for me.
First of all .... Texas shaped waffles for breakfast. That's right. You operate a hotel in Texas, you get judged on the shape of your waffle iron ;) Not only were they Texas shaped, but also tasted delicious, as did the rest of the breakfast offerings.
The backyard is the best!!! Tables and chairs scattered creekside under the trees, you can sit there with your breakfast or glass of wine, or in my case it was my bible and my journal, peace and quiet (well kind of.... as I'm writing this, it's cicada-season so..... quiet is intermittent at the moment), watching the squirrels and the birds and the deer.
Also a nice pool with a hot tub and comfy loungers, should you want to enjoy the sun for awhile.
Staff is very nice and friendly, very helpful as well. The rooms are nice, very clean. The beds are COMFY, so far I count 3 accidental naps and I'm 99% sure the comfy bed is to blame.
The location is prime, most likely you can park your car for the entirety of your stay, everything you need (and a lot that you don't need) is within walking distance.
So yes. Whether it's a party with friends and family or a stay by myself, this will be my chosen place to stay from now on.

AC unit was noisy, as well as ceiling fan. Pillows a bit too hard...didn't sleep that well. Breakfast is very good. Location good. Parking was far from entrance and up a hill. Price was high.
Enjoyed our stay here when visiting Fredricksburg. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. You can walk from this location to the shops or drive. Loved that there was a spa nearby, and the spa was amazing. Has a small pool and good breakfast. The parking was limited and seemed difficult to maneuver around with a truck or large suv, at least for me it is. Recommend making reservations online because it is cheaper than calling. We got two quotes for the same room, $1000 and the other was about $400. The first time we called it was in the evening and got the highest quote and we called the next day in the afternoon and got the second quote. That was my only setback on giving this inn a 5 star on service. Good place to stay.
This is a great place to stay Fredericksburg. It is only two blocks from down town and all the shops. It is located right next to Barons Creek and it offers a lovely view of the creek. The hotel has a separate building that has around 6 rooms that face the creek and there are Rocking chairs for guests to sit in and enjoy the view. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast as well. There is also a Spa on the property right next door that offers a discount to guests of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful an they offers maps of Fredericksburg showing important features and restaurants. We were checked in very quickly. The desk clerk was very nice and helpful, Now i will tell you something. I was an interim GM for the Inn many years ago for two weeks as the new manager taking over for the departing manager could not be there during that two week period. I had a great experience and visited with employees that I had worked with. They made us feel right at home. So take it from a former GM for two weeks. It is a great place to stay and the rates are not exorbitant.
The hotel is well located, walking-distance to the Main Street and comercial zone of town. It is clean, with a beautiful outdoor spot, good breakfast with many choices, and great people. The room was big, but as it has a rug, I believe, it smells old.
Loved the hotel. Rooms were great and service as well. Breakfast was the best and not your normal dried up eggs. Lots of options and very good. I would highly recommend this place.

My wife and I decided to book a couples massage, being our first time we didn't know what to expect. Expectations were exceeded and then some. The 90 massage was well worth the price. Would highly recommend to any newbies . Also adding the Ashiatsu ( back walking) is well worth it, no pain whatsoever. My partner and I got a couples massage session and it was pretty good. We choose the deep tissue and definitely had areas targeted with their techniques. There was a language barrier when I was trying to explain areas I wanted mostly to be worked on and really couldn’t get my message across. The staff was nice and shop was really clean but a bit outdated. Overall the massage was good.

Listen, if you’re expecting a spa experience this is not it! From the moment we walked up and were asked to leave our shoes outside, to the crazy mismatched bedding it’s a 1 out of 5 on experience. We paid for extra aroma therapy and pretty sure we got cvs brand lotion & alot of it. Not a quality experience & I would not recommend - if I could give it a zero I would. Save your money & go elsewhere. This is a scam!
We did a couples massage and it was the best massage we’ve ever gotten! David and Yumi used some techniques we had not experienced and it really helped our neck and shoulder pain. If we lived here, I would be coming once a month. It was also the most economical of all the spa services I looked at in the area.
Update: was very impressed with the timely outreach the owners offered to amend the experience. Appreciate their care and diligence for their customers.
Overall, the deep tissue massage was excellent. However, I will say the stones were much too hot and I didn't realize until afterwards but they actually gave me second degree burns that blistered. So fair warning if you have sensitive skin.

While on a recent girls' getaway in Fredericksburg, I decided to treat myself to a massage. I have had quite a few different types of massages at different places, mostly for pain relief as a result of my many years in dentistry so I was looking for someone who had advanced training in deep tissue modalities.
Booking a treatment with Isla was very smooth, and communication was timely and clear. She was able to accommodate my last-minute request and even made it possible for another girlfriend to come at the same time and see another highly qualified therapist.
Isla is knowledgeable, professional, and very customer-oriented. It is obvious that she truly cares about the experience her customers have. She keeps her pricing reasonable as her mission is to help others achieve optimal health. Wonderful experience!! My husband and I scheduled a couples massage for an anniversary weekend and we were not disappointed. Isla gave lots of attention to his tight shoulders and neck with hot stones and towels and Linda had me in a completely relaxed state by the time we left. My husband and I had a great experience at Better Existence Sweet Transformation massage. It was easy to book by texting and they were flexible on times for our appointment. Isla and Martina were both very knowledgeable and focused on working on troublesome spots. This is not just a generic massage but very custom to your areas that need specific attention. We definitely would book again.
We have had the pleasure of working with Isla on numerous occasions for receiving massages and couples massages. She is timely, communicates well and is professional. As a guest house property owner, we have 7 cabins folks rent from us and when they ask who we would recommend or can we arrange for a massage, we recommend Isla. She is flexible, sometimes comes to the cabin for the guest and we have received many thanks for the recommendation.

I deal with rheumatoid arthritis, which Isla had customized the massage to fit my specific needs. The massage was healing, and Isla's expertise and passion for her work shined. This is a lovely little spa! I am very picky about my massages and I get very dissappointed If I don't feel like the massage is deep enough. I had Kathy as my massage therapist and she was fabulous! My son gave me a gift certificate two years ago. It was not a physical gift card (called and paid over the phone)but said I needed to go in and they would honor it. It was very difficult to get anyone to return my call to set up an appointment but finally got in. It took about 30 minutes for Rosa to even find the note in her spiral notebook but eventually did see where my son had purchased it. Finally got a pedicure and had some credit left on the gift certificate. I didn’t tell my son because I didn’t want him to know that his gift was difficult to obtain. So he brought me another one this year. I decided to give them another chance. Trying to get someone to call me back to set up an appointment was difficult again. I finally walked in and asked for an appointment and told Rosa about the difficulties with making an appointment. She sent me to Cindi who was the one that never returned my call. She was available immediately for a pedicure but was not very friendly. When my toes were drying, she just left. I had to ask where I could leave her tip. I still have credit but don’t want to go back. Not a good experience either time I was there.
Worst waxing experience ever! First, she took
forever...supplies located all around the room so had to wait for her to get things when needed Secondly, I had to point out all the places she missed when she said she was done and walk her through what a full Brazilian was. My friend’s took twice as long and didn’t even get a full Brazilian, although we paid for it. The bruising is ridiculous, and the icing on the cake, I was waxed on Saturday 9/26, and I have stubble today, 9/28. Did I mention is was $75???? Save your money...or go somewhere else.
Had a massage with Julie yesterday and it was AMAZING!! I can not recommend highly enough!! She was amazing, very professional and I can feel a noticeable difference in how my body feels today. Everyone should run not walk to Serenity Day Spa!
Horrible! Told us they didn't want our business bc they don't want a group because there may be fighting. SOOO unprofessional! Little did the woman know we are all professional women, most of us are business owners (one of us even owns her own large salon) and all over 35. Her loss. Wouldn't do business with them if they gave me free services.
Clean, careful multi-service spa. The only one I found in Fredericksburg that offers massages and nail services as well as facials and other body care. The massage therapist was friendly, knowledgeable and expert. The pedicure was excellent, and my feet don't hurt this evening as they so often do with an amateur as a pedicures that. Thoroughly professional and an excellent value.
When I feel like I needed to make myself feel special, I get a SPA for myself. This is a place that really made me feel special. The service is awesome! The lady is so professional. The environment is super relaxing and the price is super affordable. No place can be as special as Serenity Day Spa. Will definitely go back and highly recommended! #This is my special place!

Wonderful, wonderful experience and I highly recommend! The facility is beautiful, clean (with various thoughtful extras) and extremely peaceful.
I treated myself to a few hours of pampering with multiple services and it was well worth it. I was able to unwind and relax and never felt rushed. My massage therapist was very patient, listened to my needs/request, and executed it perfectly. I came in sore and tired, but left feeling so good and rejuvenated. He found knots/tight muscles I didn't even realize were there.
My esthetician was knowledgeable, thorough, and very soothing as well. I fell asleep a few times no doubt, and I got back to my hotel and slept SO well. The best I have in a few weeks honestly. This is from someone whom has been working 6 days/80 hr work weeks for the past few months consecutively. I also hiked up (and down) Enchanted Rock here in Fredericksburg the day before.
Not that I need to by any means, but if I could go back as early as tomorrow I would lol! I also really appreciate their website, the ease of booking and the confirmation emails w/ links for filling out my forms in advance. It made my 15-30 mins early arrival (as requested) , strictly about unwinding in the dedicated zen area and preparing for my services. Thank you again so much to the staff!
I know the review is long, but it was my best massage experience to date after trying various places locally, back at home and while traveling for work. Last time, 10 out of 10 recommend and thanks again! If I'm afforded the opportunity to return before moving on to my next work assignment, I most definitely will.

I would NEVER recommend this spa to anyone!!! I booked a massage and facial several weeks in advance for my friend and I on our vacation In Fredericksburg. The owner couldn’t book a stress rehab package because staffing issues (they should not offer these packages then) but I said we would be okay getting a facial
And massage each and she said that was easy to schedule so we did. She even asked which one of us wanted the massage first and then we would switch. I was sent confirmation texts for several appointments but when we show up for our appointments she only has us down for one of each and acted like we had never even had those phone conversations!!! I mean who picks a facial over a massage? She knew she was screwing us over!!! We work hard and look really forward to something like this as a special treat! She wasn’t even apologetic!!!!! She is a horrible business owner !! I never leave bad reviews but this was just so appalling to me!!! Buyer beware!!! Stay away from this one!!!! She should be put out of business!!!!!

I have had quite a few one on one massage therapies. The Massage I received was done by two therapists working in unison on different parts of my body.
I asked for a deep tissue massage and that is what I received.
Both of the Therapists were very professional, courteous and friendly.
The atmosphere was perfect. No complaints from me.
I walked out feeling better than when I walked in and caught myself falling asleep twice!
I highly recommend the Prickly Pear Spa on your next visit to Fredericksburg.
Our experience was pretty disappointing. My husband and I are visiting Fredericksburg to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I originally had a couples massage scheduled at home but decided to switch it to Prickly Pear so we could enjoy a long weekend in Fredericksburg. We were SO excited about this massage as we never do it much. Last time we got a massage together was on our wedding day. I schedule a few weeks out. The morning of our massage I got a call from Prickly Pear that one of the massage therapists called in sick that day so they couldn’t do our couples massage. At that point it was too late for us to book anywhere else bc everything was booked up. Very disappointing. I hope you decide to get therapists you can rely on to step up in these situations.
My only complaint, is we live 6 hours away and can’t come more often!! The BEST massage my husband and I have ever had! We got the couples massage, and added a scalp massage, it was nothing short of amazing! And their prices were not outrageous! Definitely will go back if we ever visit Fredericksburg again!
My massage involved very little use of the the therapists hands, it was mostly done with the therapist's fingertips. The motions were extremely slow and focused on just a few square inches. The oil was room temperature, not warmed. It was more palpation than massage. I thought it was the therapist's interpretation of my preference for light pressure until my wife reported that she had requested firm pressure and experienced the same type of massage. This may be a technique that I am unfamiliar with, though I'm not new to massage therapy. The room was very bright and cold. A sub-par experience at a premium rate. The staff was extremely nice, facility was clean and well decorated.
Jennifer gave me an hour long dermaplaning facial. It’s the best facial I have EVER had. She was so knowledgeable. She talked me through everything she was doing to help the problem areas on my skin. I booked another appointment before I left and can’t wait to go back!
Today was my first visit to Prickly Pear Spa. What a treat! From the moment I entered the welcoming environment was exactly what I expect from a spa. I had not wait for my appointment, and the cozy space felt safe and relaxing. I have been to larger facilities and I enjoyed that there was not a crowd of people. The massage itself was so good I fell asleep. Thank you to Amy and the other staff who made this a real treat!

This is a small very homey type of massage studio. They do not have separate rooms for massage. The two ladies who did our massages and facials were very kind. My massage therapist was good, but nothing spectacular. I wouldn’t vet another facial with them because some of the products burned. There was no steam used only hot towels. There were no extractions. There was no examination of my skin under a light or any consultation provided regarding the type of products they were going to use. The massage also consisted of a very lengthy scalp massage, not really my thing. I had never experienced that before. Overall the ladies were super kind and pleasant. If given another chance, I’m not sure I would visit again. I do feel like we got what we paid for, with the exception of slightly paying more than we should have for the facial. We paid $200 for massage and facials. The facial could have been $50, because all they did was put some stuff on our faces.

My wife and I were in town to celebrate our wedding anniversary and she had been wanting a massage for some time. I am not usually one to want a massage or to be rubbed when sore. I was shocked and amazed at how great a professional massage could be. They did not disappoint!! We booked a 60 minute session and my wife and I both felt amazing when they were done and wished that we had booked a 90 minute session. I asked for a deep tissue massage. It was a very light therapeutic massage. I even put on my paperwork what areas I wanted worked on and they where barely touched.

Wonderful room, and grounds are well kept. Kim was a great host. Loved the tasty breakfast delivered to the room! We got thorough checkin info and a map of the grounds, though I would say that if you get there after daylight it’s a bit dark and could take a few minutes to find your room. Not a big a deal though and would stay here again.

I had minimal "pink" skin for just minutes after. I could tell a difference in my skin the next day. I was so impressed that I purchased a package.
