Water Parks
Duinrell is a popular theme park complex in Wassenaar that has been a favorite outing for 80 years. What started as a modest family park with just a restaurant and a few attractions has now grown into a large amusement park with over 40 thrilling rides and the largest water park in the Benelux, Tikibad. This water paradise features an array of attractions including wave pools, whirlpools, lazy rivers, heated outdoor pools, and an impressive 21 water slides.
Fun and enjoyable amusement park with a kind of retro touch. Fun for hours for all ages. Arcade hall is a nice cherry on the top.
Christman R — Google review
A big nice place with lots of rides to hangout for kids. Well enjoyed by adults also, this place gives you an option to stay overnight and there are water pools to enjoy in summers which are at extra cost. The place is well connected with public transport. The place needs slightly more attention towards hygiene. Must visit.
Shivam C — Google review
A nice theme park with a variety of rides to suit all ages. Also, the park has a water park inside it which is what makes it unique. The park itself is not too big and queues are not too long either. A day inside is usually sufficient.
Eli S — Google review
It’s a nice place for children to spend a full day, with lots of attractions and also a water park. You can buy separate tickets for the attractions or the water park, or a combined ticket. I bought the combined tickets. We spent the day from morning until 5:00 in the attractions, then went to the water park. The water park has both indoor and outdoor options, but the indoor one is much more fun. The only downside is the price—I think it’s a bit too high. I paid around €39 per person.
Fares A — Google review
What a cracking day!!! Had fun from start to finish the guy operating the pirate ship was fantastic and went the extra mile. Very clean park not to busy food was ok prices were fine. 9.5/10. My only criticism and again it’s small is the toilets all close early even when the park is very busy.
Toulmin74474 — Google review
We went on a Sunday around 4.30pm for a indoor experience and it was amazing, we've some much fun! Easy to access by bus. We'll come back for a full experience!!

We have came to duinrell on a number of occasions and every single time it reaches our expectations if not even higher and we will be back for the 6th time in the near future! Duinrell has a fantastic theme park which is suitable for all ages with a variety of different levels of thrill. The tiki bad waterpark is an excellent waterpark with loads of different and unique slides to anywhere else. I like how you can go late at night with the slots. This is perfect for a relaxing evening. The fully equipped park on site is open until really late so if your children want to stay for a little bit longer than they have the opportunity to. The staff are really friendly and you can even hire go karts and bikes. On site there is the superstore and pizza shop and restaurants even with a bowling alley, and bar with entertainment. The accommodation are great with fully working showers and the beds are comfy.
Louise F — Google review
The amusement park is definitely the highlight here. It’s really impressive how they managed to incorporate it into such a relatively small space compared to other amusement parks. The rides are fun and very interesting—5 stars for the design! On the other hand, I stayed with an RV and my dog. Although dogs are allowed, I didn’t see a single dog station with bags, nor was there a designated area where dogs could run freely. That was disappointing. I also think the bathrooms could use some renovation. While the reception area looks like it was recently redone (maybe a bit too much, honestly—the high ceilings aren’t really necessary), the bathrooms seem to have been overlooked. After they were “cleaned,” it literally looked like someone had just sprayed them down with water—everything was wet.

Madurodam is an interactive park featuring miniature models of Dutch buildings, landmarks, and daily life. The park showcases famous attractions such as the Binnenhof/Parliament, Peace Palace, and Noordeinde Palace in a 1:25 scale setting. Visitors can explore replicas of windmills, markets, museums, and even witness a harbor fire being extinguished. With pathways and tram tracks creating a sprawling village atmosphere, Madurodam offers an immersive experience for all ages.
Whatta love place to have meal after a fantastic exploration of the Holland miniature park! I highly recommend this tourist spot in the Netherland, The gardens are beautiful well maintained and well worth it a must to see. Brilliant place I was enjoying every single moment there. Toilets are clean. Staffs are lovely and friendly.

We recently visited Madurodam in The Hague, and our entire family had a fantastic time! It was perfect outing for both the adults and kids. This park is more than just miniature models; it's a interactive and educational experience. Our child loved being able to push buttons, make things move, and participate in the various activities throughout the park. It was a brilliant way to see the Netherlands' history and landmarks come to life in a way that engages younger visitors. For the adults, we appreciated the clever use of technology to make the exhibits feel dynamic. It offers a wonderful, bite-sized overview of the country's highlights. If you're looking for an outing that keeps everyone entertained and teaches them something new, Madurodam is a must-see.
J M — Google review
I absolutely loved this place. The simulations were so amazing. I lo ed the historic stories told and the entire set up, is genius. A great place for kids but for adults alike. Its so interesting and there is so much to see, time will pass by and you would have spent almost an entire day. The best time to go is from when they open at 10.
Schanees B — Google review
It's a fun place to see the highly detailed miniature Dutch, Amsterdam - cityscapes, buildings, architecture, churches, airports, wind farms, wind mills, Canal systems, functional railway track and different trains running around, traffic vehicles moving on the road, ships, boats moving in the water... It was a fun time.. different big bridges recreated where it feels like a small overpass that you walk on, it's a fun get away
Gautham V — Google review
Great experience for adults and kids. Plenty of interactive setups to keep the kids engaged and interested, while admiring the great miniature cities. There are also other experiences scattered within the park. Good - clean - interactive and engaging activities - park for kids and adults - impressive miniature landmarks - facilities (toilets, restaurants, playgrounds)
Adeel Q — Google review
What if a country makes a fascinating structure where the net proceeds 1st were meant for TB hospital and then later, started going towards the various Charities of the Netherlands? An awesome thrill to know indeed, that such a place does exist, leading humanity to it, where their presence collectively and perpetually, helps such charities out. Madurodam, named after George Maduro, a law student from Curacao, who was awarded 'Medal of Knight', (highest medal of Netherlands) for his tremendous valour in fighting Nazi occupation forces and who died later at Dachau concentration camp in 1945. . Madurodam, was opened for public during 1952. It is a miniature park of the 'Hague', Netherlands consisting of 1:25 scale model replicas and miniature versions of famous Dutch landmarks, cities etc. It includes indoor attractions that tell Dutch histories, art & culture, themed areas, some restaurants, and a few stores to get what-you-want including fridge magnets, bottles and smiling back items, getting ready to get picked up. Travelling to Netherlands? Ensure then, that this is added on to your MUST-VISIT place.
Neeru D — Google review
Madurodam was my favorite experience during my entire trip to the Netherlands. I loved exploring the miniature versions of Dutch cities and landmarks. It felt like traveling through the whole country in just a few hours. My favorite parts were steering the ships through the canals, controlling the helicopter, and interacting with the fun exhibits like attracting the fishes. The park is very well designed, with so many details that bring Dutch history, architecture, and culture to life. It’s both educational and entertaining, making it a great place for families, couples, or solo travelers. I would recommend it as one of the first stops for tourists visiting the Netherlands. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little pricey, but that might just be my perspective as a visitor from abroad. Overall, I would definitely like to return and see it again.

Loved it, what a wonderful piece of art, that Is amazing, every zone has its own beauty, moreover nothing is less but plane ✈️ experience inside it is out standing, a must go place to bring you child here. There is also a shall canteen to have some light snacks and a souvenir shop is also there to bring some gifts. Overall a wonderful experience, but remember you must spare enough time to go there because it needs almost half day to complete it properly if you are a detail lover.

The Louwman Museum, located in The Hague, Netherlands, is home to an impressive private collection of over 250 antique and classic cars, motorcycles, and other automotive artifacts. Founded by Evert Louwman, the museum showcases vehicles dating back to the late 19th century as well as rare exhibits such as early motorcars, racing legends, and innovative prototypes.
We had the best time at the Louwman car museum the other day, and I highly recommend it. Seeing some of the earliest cars ever made was pretty cool. The museum was arranged so well, making it easy to navigate and appreciate each vehicle. There were so many interesting and informative displays that we learned a lot. Overall, it was a really great experience!
Chane Z — Google review
Amazing muzeum with a variety of motorised vehicles, from horseless carragies, motor bikes and cars, to fire engines and buses. A lot of interesting information provided. Great collection of car related art as well. The parking is quite expensive, especially given that it is a car museum.
Alicja C — Google review
Sore feet warning - but there are plenty of places to sit down to rest along the way. We spent three hours here - even my partner who was not interested in cars was quite absorbed - the most pre-1900 cars I’ve seen - the earliest hybrid electric - the earliest electric cars - an amazing variety in history. After that we needed a break but the on-site cafe while looking like Disneyland was disappointing. The Dutch snack plate recommended by the waiter was four deep fried potato croquettes, two deep fried chicken nuggets, maybe four tiny spring rolls of cheese and some potato crisps from a packet - not impressive. I had a white beer which also didn’t taste that good to me.
Ultimobile — Google review
This museum is a great collection starting from the very beginning of building cars, transitioning horse wagons into motorized vehicles. A beautiful building this collection will blow your mind while you walk from one room into the next and find another treasure. It is possible to see everything in two hours walk, but if you prefer to have a better understanding of all the cars, you can easily fill up a whole day within the museum. There is as well restaurants, which looks very cozy. Overall, the experience is Really great.
Leon V — Google review
Great experience. It is perhaps one of its kind! Really impressive. Some suggestions: the entrance is quite crammed with one person doing everything and no space. Also would be interesting to add how much the vehicles cost at their time and the equivalent for our days. I think it can show us how accessible the cars were for common people. Anyways it was amazing!
Julie C — Google review
Really a very wonderful museum. Thought about going there for years but didn't do it till today because I thought it was expensive, small and focussed on on a few rarity cars. Boy was I wrong! The external images of the museum makes it look ehh, not large. But in reality it is. It also has 3 (!) floors. Most of the collection covers the era between 1890 till the 1960's which I really like. I wish some of the colours on these cars where available today, just marvelous. Also a lot of cars with a special place in history, a Cadillac owned by Elvis Presley, the Austin martin db5 from James Bond Goldfinger. Both cars from the British film Genevieve (which I just watched and loved). Two cars from The godfather and a lot more. Must not forget to mention the cafe which is indoors but designed like let's say a village square. Simple but lovely. Lots of eye candy. In short, don't be deceived by the external shots which make it it feel small. The place is huge and in it's own a really wonderful building, but go there and be amazed!!
Erwin B — Google review
Best museum I have ever visited. Cleverly designed path keep your attention, there is a piece of collection that you can relate to in every corner and it's not just cars. You can find old fuel pump, car toys, biycles, everything that is related to transportation. I highly reccomend the Museum.

Sea Life Scheveningen is a family-friendly aquarium located in The Hague's seaside district. Since its opening in 1991, it has been home to a diverse array of marine species from around the globe, including sharks, rays, sea turtles, and tropical fish. The aquarium features thematic areas representing various marine habitats such as coral reefs, the Atlantic Ocean, and the North Sea.
A very interesting aquatic museum. At the entrance, the little ones receive a map and participate in a mysterious treasure hunt while visiting the museum. In a projection room, they can draw and see how their drawings come to life once they have been scanned.
Oana M — Google review
Very, very impressive. I didn't expect to see such a big variety of fish. Don't hesitate to visit this aquarium. For kids this will be a big waw!
Dumitru D — Google review
A very small sea life . I spent 20 minutes there. I was disappointed. A dozen or so years ago, there were jellyfish, but now there are none. It's a great attraction for small children. As an adult, I felt somewhat dissatisfied.
Queen — Google review
Sea Life in Scheveningen was a fun experience. The aquariums were accompanied with interesting information on the inhabitants and the ecosystems they usually live in. My personal highlight was the otter, I could have spent hours watching that little guy groom, take a swim, relax.
Stephanie P — Google review
Quite interesting for the kids, stylized interior, one can take pictures as souvenirs then printed or as magnets in the souvenir shop at the exit.
Anna M — Google review
A slightly salty review of Sea Life — lots of people, little fish, expensive tickets. I went to sea life as a kid, when you could still hear touch all of the fish. I wanted to take my kid for that same experience, and while they enjoyed it, I did not. The whole set up hasn’t changed since the nineties and feels like it’s straight out of movie set for some B-movie. There are literally vending machines with candy and drinks everywhere sometimes two in one room. The vending machines crowd out the tanks and the fish and in between the bad lightening and poor air circulation, if they put some slot machines in—it would be hard to know if you’re in Sea World or Holland Casino. It was very crowded and the set up was too narrow for the number of people, which really should be capped. They have some nice sections with different types of animals including a small crocodile and and the penguins. But the enclosures are small making it hard to enjoy the experience. The underwater tunnel feels like you’re actually diving, as the air circulation is terrible and it feels like you’re deprived of oxygen walking through it. Some of the windows desperately need a clean, for instance it was near impossible to see the otters because the glass was stained so badly. I like that they did some education on environmentalism here and there and that they contribute to breeding various species. That being said, for a whopping 64-65 euros for two adults and 1 kid, this place really needs to be lifted out of the nineties. If I’m going to be paying Disney prizes I’m going to expect a ride, rather than a school of vending machines and plenty of people rather than fish in the Sea (Life)
Cor C — Google review
It was a great experience with a wide variety of fish and sea creatures. It’s very well presented. A bit small for the ticket price, but still worth a visit.
Niki U — Google review
25€ for a small aquarium is not worth it. Especially when it concerns the wellbeing of the maritime creatures they have. The aquariums were to small for most of them and the penguin had their wings blocked with bracelets of plastic with no need for that.

Art Museums
Museum Voorlinden is a private museum located in Wassenaar, near The Hague, showcasing a remarkable collection of modern and contemporary art. Opened in 2016, the museum was inaugurated by King William-Alexander and features the renowned Caldic Collection, assembled by businessman and art collector Joop van Caldenborgh. The striking white building houses a rich and surprising collection, including permanent works created specifically for the museum as well as temporary exhibitions.
Had a wonderful day exploring the museum with friends. There was lost of variation and the set up of the rooms is so nice and easy to navigate. It is spacious so even when crowded still does not feel full. The little book you receive at entry gives lots of background on every art piece. Some of the art would place in my house, so interesting and cool. Also enjoyed the pop-up shop and regular shop. The candy special that required a time-slot was very nice, go in line timely, but it goes quite fast. This special part required shoes off. For those that can’t take off their shoes there are shoe covers. Spent around 2,5/3 hours in the museum. Also beautiful landscaping outside.
Nienke — Google review
Museum VoorlinMuseum Voorlinden is a beautiful and well-curated modern art museum, worth visiting if you are in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, which made the experience smooth and pleasant. The artworks are all special in their own way, and each room offers something different. A standout for us was the marshmallow house — playful and unexpected, it really stood out as a highlight. There are a few practical things to note. You are not allowed to take even a water bottle inside, so plan accordingly. Also, the toilets are located outside the main building, which means you have to walk a bit to reach them. Overall, a unique and engaging museum experience. We give it 4 out of 5 stars. den
Sunand S — Google review
The pool is very famous yes, but if u go there just for that I would say it’s not worth it. But there are so much more to see. The environment surrounded is just so good to be true. Highly recommended even if just for the view outside. And the museum inside itself must be one of the most beautiful museum I have ever seen.
Bast — Google review
It's a very enjoyable place. Kids can enjoy it too. But we loved the cafe right next to it. The forest where the museum is located was wonderful. The landscaping was beautiful. You can also take a walk around the area.
Arzu E — Google review
I admit the artworks worth a visit however I have to be honest the experience was not good for a 22 euro. a) In that "sweet Memories"... everyone was asked to take off shoes, understandable though still a bit strange. Maybe I got bad luck in that group someone had unbearable stench filled the whole small candy room. At least for me that was zero sweet but a completely disgusting memories. b) It's normal and common sense not to touch the artwork but arguable the distance. I was struggling from the warning: "keep the distance"... I don't see it's normal for a museum to forbid visitors to look closely for details. Meanwhile to mention there is no clear sign at least for the "large-mini copied chairs". As a well known museum, you are not doing properly in leveraging the communication towards ur visitors between: "don't touch", "keep distance" and "look closely". If u believe signs break the artworks and atmosphere, then u should do it professionally in a different way. Good luck with your visit and hope all of u will have a Sweet Memories there... 😂 For me the disgusting memories + a strange "keep distance" warning made a very unpleasant experience for only 2 stars.
Xiaochen W — Google review
pretty and enjoyable museum with a lot of modern art installation! sometimes they also have live art performance, it is very interesting to watch!
Mahira P — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Museum Voorlinden. The staff were quick to help, the gift shop had high quality and actually unique pieces, the various pieces on exhibition were carefully curated up build a 360 experience in you by the time you were finished. My family and I also had the honour of visiting the private book collection and not yet shown pieces, so that was a cherry on top! Parking is spacious, the bathroom facilities are enough, there's two different restaurant/cafes on the grounds plus a mobile coffee cart so lots of options for food if necessary. The grounds it sits on, is also beautiful sp lots of people took walks around before leaving.
Gwendolene R — Google review
Museum Voorlinden is a beautiful estate with a contemporary art gallery. Their permanent collection is excellent and the seasonal collections are usually also very good. Besides the museum the estate gardens are also worth a visit and they are completely free of charge!

"Escher in the Palace" is a permanent exhibition located in the former royal winter palace on Lange Voorhout in The Hague. This grand building now showcases the graphic artworks of M.C. Escher, a renowned Dutch artist known for his precise and bewildering works. The exhibition features a comprehensive collection of Escher's woodcuts, lithographs, and other pieces from various stages of his career, offering insight into his unique blending of different perspectives and mathematical rules with artistic subject matter.
Incredible! The palace in of itself is brilliant, but the history, life and works of M. C. Escher is just awe inspiring. I loved every moment of my few hours (yes that's all you need here). I really took my time walking around, reading pretty much everything. There's a summary as you enter each room/ gallery. I was really impressed by floor 3. Modern pieces that interpret the mind bending greatness of Eschers works, so do go up to the top floor. My biggest takeaway was how massively inspired/influenced/ motivated Escher was by the Islamic art and architecture of South Spain/ Andalucia. In the narrative there was more emphasis on his time in Italy and the wonderful landscapes there, but in my opinion Andalucia changed something in him towards the magnificent work we all really know him for, tessalations, metamorphosis, patterns, perspective etc. A memorable visit!
Khalid A — Google review
Loved this musuem. It was sorry of a two for the price of one as it was housed in a formal royal palace of Emma, the Queen Mother, mother to Queen Wilhelmina. Most of Escher's famous works were on display. Left the museum appreciating the genius that Escher was. Also has a cafe but didn't access it.
Heather M — Google review
An absolutely fascinating museum! The presentation of Escher’s work is outstanding — each piece is worth your time and your thoughts. Highlights include Metamorphosis III, an extraordinary 7-meter-long masterpiece that flows seamlessly from one image to another, and the mesmerizing Circle Limit series, where Escher’s genius for blending art and mathematics truly shines. The illusions room is a delight, letting you step into the kind of visual paradoxes that made Escher world-famous. A perfect blend of art, geometry, and imagination — not to be missed when in The Hague.
César F — Google review
Amazing artworks told and explained very well. I especially enjoyed the method which documented Escher's life and work - very elegant. The decision to display his works in the palace was well made, the architecture is splendid and wonderous.
Tom T — Google review
If you're into architectural signs, you'll be amazed—it's like stepping into this museum! Truly stunning and beyond your wildest dreams. I spent two hours there, but honestly, it wasn’t enough to take in all the amazing creativity. It’s absolutely fantastic!
莒光號莒光號 — Google review
This place bends your brain in the best way possible. It’s M.C. Escher, so yes, the famous “stairs that go nowhere” are here, along with loads of other works (including some I’d never seen before). Honestly, I half expected to walk out of the museum upside down. The ticket price is refreshingly reasonable (rare in The Hague, where even a coffee can feel like modern art). I’d definitely go again. Tip: go in the morning, there’s so much to see that if you arrive late, your head will be spinning from illusions and from fatigue. Bring curiosity, maybe a coffee, and prepare to wonder if the gift shop exit is actually the entrance.
Teunis S — Google review
Beautiful museum! Extensive collection and enjoyed the interactive parts at the end on the top floor. They have free lockers for your bags, a cafe downstairs, and clean bathrooms.
Barbara D — Google review
All round good exhibit in an historic house. Who doesn't love Escher? If you don't, this isn't for you. If you do you'll find lots of prints and background. Many of the prints are marked "eigen druk" which means "my own print." Would have been nice if they'd cracked a few windows... Lockers are in basement and use fake coins they hand out. Bathroom was decent.

It's a good tour and interactive afterwards. We have a six year old and a two year old; I feel that charging the same price (€25) for a 0, 1 or 2 year old as adults is a bit much. Our two year old was scared in the experience, as the dark rooms, lights and heartbeat sounds were quite intimidating without her understanding the context.
Andrew A — Google review
Very interesting museum about the human body. The children had fun, they have 2 parts of museum, one interactive and one to discover more by reading and watching more videos.I think between 2-3 h are more than sufficient to allocate for this museum.
Oana M — Google review
Relatively short “tour” but LOVED it, very well presented and truly thoughtful for kids (not tooo young though) without boring the adults. The play area tends to be a bit crowded but I’d highly recommend this place when in Leiden

It is very close to Leiden city and highway. Has a closed parking space incld EV charging. Museum is well designed, mostly enhanced with videos and lightshows. There are several educative activites after the museum. Mostly suitable for children.
Ahmet E — Google review
Old, overhyped and overpriced. I did enjoy the first part of the museum where you 'walk inside your body.' It is well-made and well explained. After the tour with audio guide, you come to the second part where you see visual materials and read the panels. It felt quite old and meant mainly for young children, probably below 8. My two children aged 9 and 12 though it was too childish and not attractive, so we just walked past and left the museum. Overall I felt it isn't worth the money. Not recommended.

Amazing place, very educational and has multiple interactive games which improves the understanding of the human body. Suitable for a range of ages and families. Great value for money too.

Exciting exhibition/experience center about the human body with superb audioguide (ín 19 languages). Too bad that the interactive area is ín Dutch only. 🙁 However I give it 5* and hope that next time everything will be available ín other languages than Dutch too. 🙂

Naturalis Biodiversity Center, located in Leiden, Netherlands, is a renowned natural history museum and research institution established in 1820. It boasts an impressive collection of over 40 million objects, ranking it among the top 5 biodiversity centers globally. Visitors can marvel at rare specimens including a giant squid, dinosaur bones, fossils, and various mammals that date back billions of years. The museum offers an unforgettable experience for both adults and children alike.
Impressive museum. The expositions are spread over several floors. The second floor represents the animal kingdom, from insects to predators. The third floor contains the main attraction of the museum, dinosaur skeletons. Very impressive exposition. The fifth floor is a hall introducing the ice age - mammoth, steppi bison, cave lion etc. The halls on seventh floor focus on death and reproduction. I liked the dinosaur skeleton, the overview of the animal kingdom, small room of minerology. And seventh floor was very educational. If you find yourself in Leiden it is definitely worth visiting this museum.

I have been wanting to go here for a while now since seeing it as one of 5 best museums in the Netherlands. We absolutely loved it. Such a cool looking building and the way the exhibitions were set up were very good. My 3 year old daughter loved it, especially the interactive parts.. the herd of triceratops was my highlight. It does seem to be in the middle of nowhere (close to den haag though), but it's definitely worth the trip.

Loved this place, including the additional Trex re-experience. It’s well laid out, so no map is needed to see everything. It’s funny, realistic and simply well done. Plenty of information (yes, English and Dutch) and side activities or videos to keep you busy for over two hours. Beautiful building - would recommend and go back in a heartbeat

We visited the museum and really really enjoyed it. Each floor has its own thematic area, and everything is very well organized and maintained. There are also many interactive sections that make the visit more fun and engaging while you learn. The dinosaur skeletons are really impressive. The architecture of the museum itself is also very interesting and worth appreciating.

Fantastic place to bring your children or even just for adults to visit. The displays are beautifully and informatively done. Sometimes I do feel sad for the animals that must have been killed for the display. There are audio-visual installations and well-maintained facilities.

Awesome variety of exhibitions showcasing the breadth and depth of life. The amount of fossils and skeletons on display is impressive. Staff was very friendly and the building itself is beautiful to boot. It's also very easy to get to from Central Station in foot. Came away with a renewed appreciation for the natural world!

Naturalis is not just a museum – it’s a journey through time! From enormous dinosaur skeletons that make you feel tiny, to breathtaking exhibitions about the wonders of nature, every corner sparks curiosity. The layout is modern, interactive, and perfect for both kids and adults. You can easily spend hours exploring without getting bored. The highlight for me was standing face-to-face with the mighty T. rex a moment I’ll never forget. If you’re in Leiden, this is an absolute must-visit for science, history, and nature lovers alike!🦖🌍✨

Luciano ice cream is a renowned parlour with 14 locations in the Netherlands, originating its success in Wassenaar. It has been recognized as the best in the country and even ranks among the world's top ice cream parlours. The shop offers an extensive selection of traditional and unique flavors, along with sorbets and sugar-free options. Its charming interior and Willy Wonka-esque chocolate tap add to the experience.
Lactose free, gluten free options for ice cream and coffee, young, friendly, helpful staff. Super nice place to have a sweet break.
Dilan U — Google review
We got four flavours, they were all good and the service was great. I will say that the chocolate ice cream was a little boring and the pear ice cream was too sweet. Other than that, the atmosphere is great as it’s on the high street and has nice seating areas.
Annike T — Google review
Very tasty and delicious ice cream 🍨 There's a lot of flavours, some of the flavours are very unique and refreshing. The little disappointment was the price / portion ratio which is quite bad, but the taste is very good and compensate for that. Beware of long waiting lines (could be more than 20 minutes waiting) In conclusion, if you're there, it's definitely worth it But don't go there especially only for the ice cream.
Yossi L — Google review
One of the many reasons why I love the Dutch and to visit the Netherlands. You can queue to buy ice cream at 10 pm. Definitely the place to go for ice cream in Wassenaar. Their coffee and cakes look good too.

Hands down the nicest ice cream I have ever had. Some how they got the pear flavour spot on and some how made it juicy like a real pear. Go on, treat yourself!
John M — Google review
Quick service, clean and bright space with friendly staff who speak great English too. A good choice of flavours in both ice cream and sorbet. Plenty to choose from for repeat visits! At time of writing one scoop is €1.60 and two are €3.20 and beyond that it starts to get slightly cheaper per scoop. Can have a tub or a cone. There are other cones available for an extra €1. They also sell other sweet things and coffees but I didn't try them

The National Museum of Antiquities, also known as The Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, is a treasure trove for history enthusiasts. It boasts an impressive array of artifacts from various ancient civilizations, including Egypt, Greece, and Rome. One of its standout features is the outstanding collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities, which includes a reconstructed Temple of Taffeh gifted by Anwar Sadat to the Netherlands.
This is easily one of the best museums in the Netherlands for children, adults, and families alike. The space is wonderfully designed to engage visitors of all ages — from interactive activities for kids to exhibits that even adults will find captivating. The family-friendly atmosphere is clear from the moment you walk in, with thoughtful entertainment options, hands-on elements, and a welcoming layout that makes exploring a pleasure. That said, there’s still potential to make the experience even better. The use of technology varies noticeably from floor to floor; for example, the Ancient Egypt section could benefit from more advanced AI-driven explanations. Some of the information devices placed at the entrance to exhibits were unfortunately out of order during my visit. Another detail worth mentioning: student tickets are free, but there was no verification process at the ticket counter — it felt like a missed opportunity to make this policy more transparent. Also, the majority of exhibit explanations were in Dutch, which meant non-Dutch speakers had to rely heavily on their phones for translations. Despite these small drawbacks, I had a fantastic time here. The blend of education, entertainment, and atmosphere makes it a place worth revisiting. I look forward to coming back in the future and seeing even more cutting-edge technology incorporated into the exhibits.
Shirin S — Google review
A great variety of items from Egypt, ancient Rome and Greece. Informative for English speakers/readers although clearly more information is available is you speak Dutch. It was a comfortable environment, not too busy and overall a great experience with some unique items and a great local view on antiquities and how continuing excavations are taking place in the Netherlands.
Callum H — Google review
There are great collections of Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Persian, Cypriot, and other civilizations. The English audio guide is informative for some specific objects, but there is no information in English for most of the objects. The data is only available in Dutch. I spent about 3-4 hours in the museum and skipped a chunk of it due to a lack of time.

I visited this museum in Leiden and honestly, it felt like stepping through a time portal. The Egyptian statues, Roman sculptures, and ancient artifacts are displayed with such elegance that history almost whispers to you. The highlight for me was the beautifully lit Temple of Taffeh—breathtaking in its quiet majesty. It’s not just a museum, it’s a gentle walk through centuries of human story. A must-visit for anyone who loves the past wrapped in grace.

If you're interested in history, it's a great museum. I managed to spend about 6 hours here with ease. I had been here before but the last time was about 30 years ago. A lot has changed and at the same it's still the same. Good place for a rainy day. What could have been better? More on the Netherlands. As I remember that was the case 30 years ago, now it's one section in the attic. Personally I would like to see some more information on how things where made. For example, near the entrance there is a room dedicated to cameo's. In short, very small stones with incredibly detailed but tiny carvings on them. They are so tiny that there are magnifiers mounted on most displays. How could they possibly make this in this period?? If you go here, and you can, use public transportation. Parking fees are pretty steep in Leiden. Nothing to do with the museum.

We say an amazing installation, and understand their rotating exhibits are always stellar. The museum architecture is reminiscent of Tadeo Ando. The outdoor sculpture works ate exciting - modernist. A cute, small museum. They had three exhibitions aside from those elements that are permanent. Two of the three were single pieces though both were large and immersive or very detailed pieces. But you will likely only need about an hour or little more than an hour to see the full musuem.

The Prison Gate Museum in The Hague offers tours that delve into the history of crime and punishment, featuring jailer's quarters, an interrogation room, and judges' chambers. Situated at the division between the Buitenhof and Binnenhof, this museum provides insight into medieval times and showcases the imposing architecture of the former main gateway to the castle for the Counts of Holland.
One of the most interactive museum I’ve ever been in the Netherlands! The museum’s audio guide narrations were really nice and engaging, feels like you’re being brought back in time 👀 They make it into 2 parts, so make sure in the end and to ask the staffs if you have visited all parts of the museum.
Sufya — Google review
I would advice mainly two things: - book in advance because there are time slots, so if you just show up you might not be allowed to enter. - the visit is split in two parts, first part is the history, second part starts where the first part starts. I almost missed this one, because it wasn’t obvious. Just go back to the front desk and they will tell you where to go. First part is more interactive, second part goes deeper into what the prison used to be. Also if you do the second part you’ll end up outside in the yard where there’s a 1812 guillotine (the original one), and also the torture chamber mentioned in the first part.
Lucas K — Google review
I highly recommend you going there if you come to The Hague. It’s very interesting in how far back they go. I’ll be attaching some pictures. I want to say they were truly barbaric, but again you have to think of the time. some of the pictures are the tools they used in the dungeon and on one picture you’ll see a little box in the corner and that was their toilet. It is a very fascinating museum.
Lina N — Google review
Such a fun experience! Very educational and interesting—the museum preserves a piece of history that makes its visitors reflect on how far our justice and penal systems have come. The open and light museum really contrasts to how dark and intimidating it must’ve been in the 1500s. Just a really cool spot!
Ursula O — Google review
"The Prison Gate was originally an entrance gate to the castle of the Counts of Holland, built in medieval times. For many years after, it served as a prison to the Court of Holland. Nowadays the museum tells the story of crime and punishment across the centuries." The museum is very well preserved. When I visited the prisoner cells, I had the feeling that I travelled back in time. The museum provides valuable information about the judicial processes in history. I did not know that there are special cells for wealthy people, like a hotel room😃 There are even interactive settings, for example, by pushing a button, you can act as a judge and try to decide on a verdict! I really enjoyed my visit.

Our visit to this captivating museum was an illuminating journey through the annals of time, offering a glimpse into the city's past that left us both mesmerized and enlightened. Stepping through the imposing gates, we were transported back in time to an era of justice, punishment, and intrigue. The museum's meticulously curated exhibits vividly depicted the different facets of prison life, from interrogation to torture and punishment. Of particular interest were the interrogation rooms, where visitors could immerse themselves in the tense atmosphere of past investigations. Equally compelling were the sections dedicated to torture and punishment, where vivid descriptions and artifacts brought to life the harsh realities faced by prisoners. Such a brilliant place, so much history and the information on the exhibitions was amazing. They give you a booklet when you first go in and it’s a self-guided tour, then you can come back for part 2 where you follow a different route with an audio tour to guide you. I was so impressed, in particular with how close you could get to everything. You really feel like you’re immersed in the history and you can follow a story with the audio tape which helps you feel more engaged. I’d highly recommend, you’ll need around 1hr-1.5hrs for the visit.

A very nice family friendly park with attraction for all ages. As soon as your kid is 100 cm it can try almost all attractions together with a grown-up. Just a very few are from 140 cm on. Great park to visit with children in different ages.

Overall, we had an enjoyable day. I visited with my 3-year-old son (under 1 meter tall), and there were enough attractions suitable for his age group. The park is well thought out for small children. A few practical notes: The lockers weren’t working, and the park is quite large. If you’re coming with extra belongings, I recommend bringing something to help you carry them easily, a stroller can be very helpful, even if you think your child won’t need it much. The women’s toilets near the restaurant area were insufficient; it’s better to use the ones in other parts of the park. I suggest arriving early in the morning and starting from the far end of the park, going against the general flow. That way, you’ll avoid long queues at the first attractions.
Ugur — Google review
Drievliet is a fun and well-organized amusement park, especially ideal for families with children. While I personally enjoyed the visit, most of the rides and attractions are clearly designed with younger kids in mind. It’s a great place for a relaxed day out, but adults seeking thrill rides might find the options limited. That said, there are still a few exciting rides for older visitors, like the fast roller coaster Formule X, the wild mouse-style ride Kopermijn, the spinning coaster Twistrix, and the powered coaster Dynamite Express. Additionally, adults can enjoy rides like Nautilus, a swinging and spinning attraction, and Draaikolk, a fast-turning ride. As a whole, it’s a highly recommended destination for families with kids.
Raghavendra M — Google review
Great place to spend a day with the little ones. I really apreciated that most of the atractions were spitale for my 3.5 yo. And the ones for the older children were truely enjoyable. Also I loved the fact that the park is quite compact and don't spend a lot of time walking between the atractions, and thus we managed to enjoy almost all the atractions during one day, some even more times. Another plus was that there were no big ques (we spent maximum 10-15 minutes for the most atractive, although we went in full vacation sezon). All in all, a perfect alternative to biserica and more famous atraction parks in The Netherlands and around.
Alexandra T — Google review
We went as a group of 8 people, including 2 toddlers, and we loved it. The size of the park is just the right size, not too big, not too small. Perfect for families with children (as the name suggests, familypark). There are enough rides for children (in our case, toddlers) to enjoy. We especially appreciated the water play park. The only minus thing is the food, there were not enough choices, and very expensive. So, I would suggest bringing your own food and snacks!
Chantal M — Google review
Overall we had an okay day, but that was only because I am someone who's glass is always half full! Because what happend? . Me and my daughter got stuck in the owl 🦉 ride, our car suddenly started smoking really bad and the machinist truly was not able to handle correct in that moment. I was able to put my daughter (4y) out of the car and let her wait with my oldest.. as soon as I knew they were save, I focused on the women next to me. Who was in a panic attack. With some breath work and guidance, I was able to calm her down. 2) after this, I made the decision to calm down with some food! 3 sodas and 3 sandwishes were €30. Crazy! And it wasn't even good, had to throw away the sandwich with cheese. 3) other malfunctioning attractions were also part of our experience. Which did not make us feel safe. Conclusion, we had fun. But I would not go back, as it is clearly not a safe park to go to. Be careful.

Suppose this last weekends was Halloween 🎃 celebration but they have nothing. Barely banners of Halloween and a 2 things related to Halloween. We came specially to celebrate. But not worth it. At grond floor, it's music especial so you can engage with lot of instrument and can see few pieces from the history. On 1st floor, lot of info about planet , geography, history of Netherlands, space, under water life, list if endless.. After doing this museum if you have energy left( which is difficult) you can move to omniversum, again a excellent and out of world experience. Highly recommend.. Enjoy😊

Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, named after the renowned scientist Herman Boerhaave, is a fascinating museum in Leiden that showcases scientific and medical objects dating back to the 16th century. Housed in a historic 15th-century convent, which was once Northern Europe's first academic hospital, the museum offers exhibits highlighting major discoveries in Dutch science and the influential figures behind them.
Great museum!! It is now two times that we have been there and it is always something that surprise us. Good for small children and also teenagers. They can be all day long having fun. With a museum card is ideal. Food have accessible prices.

This space museum is out of this world! Perfect for families, it’s packed with exciting exhibits that make you feel like you’re rocketing through the galaxy. The kids’ workshops are pure magic—hands-on, creative, and guaranteed to have them talking about planets and stars for days! And the staff? Absolutely stellar! They’re super friendly, full of cool space facts, and amazing with kids. You can tell they love what they do, and they make the whole experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a fun, inspiring day trip, this museum is a must-visit!

Excellent science museum done in a very visual and storytelling way. From the theatre at the beginning to the kids ground floor at the end it was all very interesting. I liked Boerhaave better than Memo in Amsterdam because Boerhaave is better structured and a bit more academic and not thrill seeking. Great museum to visit with kids.

Very interesting science museum. Somenhands on experiment and puzzles fir kids and some very historical important objects.

Amazing science museum in the centre of Leiden. The exhibition takes you along different parts of the history of science. The museum starts with a nice show about the dissection of humans, followed by telescopes and maps of the world. There are also rooms about diseases and open questions in science. The temporary exhibition currently is about microorganisms and observing them with microscopes. There is also a great exhibition about math with many interactive games to play. The museum accepts the museumcard and is kids friendly. Parking close to the museum is not possible.

Very interesting place to visit, showcasing all manner of instruments from the fifteen-hundreds and onwards that people used to advance their knowledge of our planet and its inhabitants, and to develop many fields of science. If you’re interested at all in biology, astronomy, math, chemistry or other sciences, this is definitely a great visit. You can see everything in about an hour if you wanted, but easily spend a half or full day if you want to take everything in with all the detail available.
Daniël — Google review
An interesting museum. Part of the exposition is devoted to archaeology. Various fossils of marine animals, fish and land animals are shown. Part 2 of the exposition is devoted to the development of science and technology of the golden period of the Dutch sea expeditions. And part 3. permanent exhibitions are an art gallery where paintings by different authors and different periods of the Golden Age are collected. Museum galleries with a glass dome are particularly impressive. All the museum exhibits were collected by the person whose name the museum bears. It is difficult to call this museum conceptual, so 4 stars.
Nshan A — Google review
Very educational! Reading everything take at least two and a half hours, quick browse may take a bit less than two hours. There's a temporary exhibition about female and other race people (other than caucasian) body are less studied in medical research, and thus lead to unequal treatment and diagnose. There're other general knowledge about science, history and development of medicine and physiology. However most part is pretty hard to understand by children, this is more a museum for people who already have some knowledge in general science. The science museum in Amsterdam may be more suitable for children with more interacting facility that children can learn by trying and playing. They sell colorful books that contain information showed in the museum (have both Netherlands and English version). You can basically bring the museum home!

The Museum of Literature, also known as the Children's Book Museum, is an interactive and engaging space designed to foster a love for reading in young children. It offers various language-based activities and reading corners where kids can immerse themselves in the world of iconic characters from children's literature. The museum provides an opportunity for children to explore imaginary worlds and embark on adventures inspired by their favorite stories.
Came here with my 13m old and she LOVED it! It’s rare to have a museum where toddlers can freely walk about, but the entire top floor was suitable for her to do this, and she had such fun wandering from room to room and playing with anything interactive. I’m looking forward to coming here again with her when she’s older and can appreciate the 6y+ floor. The cafe is lovely, friendly staff at reception/gift shop, and the graphics/art work and displays are enchanting.

Easy to get to from Centraal. Had the impression that the museum is targeted at toddlers and smaller kids but decided to visit anyway. The basement is targeted at older kids with many interactive activities that earn them add ons to the character they build. They are decent difficulty levels and there is a little waiting for other kids but nothing inconvenient. Loads of writings and quotes as they work through the various activities. Its a decent amount of activity and reading. We did two hours and were not fully done. Kids got hungry and cafe had run out of sandwiches so we left. This was around 2.45pm. This was a little disappointing. The staff at the cafe are lovely though. You get a card on your way out as a souvenir. There is a gift shop mostly in dutch.

My 11 month old and newly 5 year old had a great time playing together. It’s so nice to find somewhere they can both enjoy! Especially that there are no shoes allowed on the younger children’s floor, so it is ok for little ones to crawl around. It was clean and had plenty of toilets and easily accessible with a stroller.

The Kinderboekenmuseum in Den Haag is a calm, welcoming spot where children can really lose themselves in stories. It’s designed with little ones in mind — cozy reading corners, a storytelling nook, and a range of hands-on, tactile exhibits that invite playful exploration without overwhelming. The layout makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on kids, and the staff are warm and attentive, creating a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere ideal for a slow morning or gentle afternoon outing. They also offer storytelling sessions and workshops that add extra charm. In addition to the book-focused areas, the museum has a dedicated arts-and-crafts room for creative projects and a cafeteria where families can take a break and enjoy a snack or drink. Overall, it’s a soothing, imaginative place that encourages curiosity, reading, and creative play for toddlers through early elementary ages.

We absolutely love the museum. Perfect for our little ones. However the cafe has terrible hygiëne. Tables and floor are not being cleaned while you can see many staffs doing nothing behind the counter. We also saw two mouses running around.... while many customers already saw it, I didn't see any action taken from the staff.....

Experience was very lovely. Took us, a family with a 6 and 8 year old about 4 hours to do everything. The activities were engaging, the play areas were fun and the arts and crafts room was awesome

It is a Really lovely place also for the little ones. However entry is quite expensive considering that each parent has to pay full price. And low score simply on the account that there were 3 mice roaming around in the cafe. Not sanitary at all especially in a place for children

Nestled in The Hague, the Omniversum is a unique IMAX Dome Theatre that promises an extraordinary cinematic adventure. The sound quality enhances the realism, making you feel as if you're truly part of the scenes unfolding before you. It's a perfect outing for families and nature enthusiasts alike!
Fun and interactive museum + theatre! Kids will find it fun, as a young adult myself i enjoyed it. The theatre is showing imax film on curved screen (as i uploaded) and the museum changes it sub-themes every couple months: but the main theme remains the same - earth, people, and sustainable feature. Worth the money i’d say
Adinda — Google review
Went to see a really nice movie about fungi and forests. While still impressive, the projection technology seems to be showing its age with rather blurry picture quality and low brightness compared to current day cinema tech. Your eyes do adjust to it if you're used to IMAX theaters. On a 28C day the viewing hall was surprisingly hot with no AC in the hall itself. Luckily we had some hand fans which made it a lot more bearable. The cinema store was cute and the staff while inexperienced were very polite. Had a nice experience, but for 17 euro admission I'd only come back if they improved their tech.

Impressive Experience at Omniversum Den Haag! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Omniversum Den Haag is a must-visit! The dome-style theatre offers a unique and immersive movie-watching experience you won’t find anywhere else. We watched OCEAN, narrated by David Attenborough — a stunning and powerful film. While we had hoped it would fill the entire dome ceiling, it was still an incredible visual journey. The sound and screen quality are top-notch, and the atmosphere really draws you in. Highly recommend for families, tourists, and anyone looking for something special in The Hague!
Edward E — Google review
An unique experience. I didn't realize the dome where you view the movies is in the back of the complex and you have to walk around the entire museum to get to it(see photo). I saw the "Celebration of Pink Floyd’s legendary album Dark side of the Moon." I was expecting a music video or video set to The Dark side of the Moon. However, this was something completely different. This was more like a few artists' take on the album. The songs were remixed and set to very trippy visuals, that is really the only way to describe it. It almost felt like someone had left on the visualizer from an old Microsoft media player at times.
Ashlee C — Google review
This place is amazing!! I didn't expect it to be this cool. We took a 10am session to see the turtle odyssey and it was beautiful. Smartly only 47 min because my toddler was already at his end. Then I went to the museum because the ticket came together. And oh boy I didn't expect so many interactive and fun things to do! So worth the 17 euros! Other places charge you so much and offer so little. Just some tips: food could have more options and healthier ones. Also some interactive things were not well explained. The session with "men evolution " could have a warning sign. It's quite frightening for a small kid. Other than that had a great time and didn't want to leave!
Julie C — Google review
It was really amazing! The film was just out of this world! We watched animal kingdom and it was really amazing. There's a lot of activities in the museum for the kids and for the adults to enjoy with their kids. Definitely recommend going!
Danine W — Google review
The exhibition is great! The idea of illustrating "sustainable development" is wonderful! But it's not technically well thought out. Young and older children study the questions, but soon they get tired of "thinking through" them and just run around the room, punching holes in a card slot machine without really understanding the topic. It's a bit sad.... Also we enjoyed the film in the cinema! And the museum is connected to the art gallery by a simple glass corridor! So you can simply walk there without going outside, but you'll need to buy other tickets, of course!

We tried Mesmerica in 3D dome. It was music and some 3D shapes. Requested to be there 45min earlier but didn't have any point as we needed to wait on the stairs till they open the door. In general was good to try but by looking at the ticket price didn't have much content.

A great introduction to a very pretty, university city. The commentary, available in several languages on headphones, was good but was challenging to hear over the loud Dutch commentary. 50 minutes tour around Leiden. It was a great overview of so many charming parts of the city. Captain spoke Dutch and English alternatively. Quick overview of the city.

This I a nice tour but nothing special. Our captain could not speak English so the additional comments to the headphones was in Dutch only. The Dutch was over loudspeaker so hearing the English on the headphones was not easy and hard to concentrate on. The school's staff is friendly and quick to assist, ensuring a positive experience for beginners. While the high-quality boards receive praise, some visitors recommend bringing your own wetsuit to avoid potential issues with the provided ones.
I absolutely loved it! When you arrive you get your wetsuit and can put your stuff in a locker (bring your own lock!). Our instructor did a great job explaining the important signs and movements and let us train on the beach first, as almost everyone in our group was a total beginner. We spent a lot of time in the water though and he always had an eye on us and could give suggestions on what to change so that we could actually stand up! 🥳 Also the warm shower at the end was a reall treat. It was an awesome experience! Thank you very much! PS: the only suggestion I have is: please check on the toilet paper more often and refill it 😉
Moni K — Google review
Unfortunately we had a rather unpleasant experience. That is understandable that waves are not always favourable for good surfing, but when the coach is very passive, uninvolved and prefers to have a small talk for most of the time instead of helping the learners - that kills the vibe completely. We took a beginners class. We had Bas as a coach. He made a good introduction, warm-up and were quite active and helpful to catch Wales at the beginning. But then he seemed to get more fascinated by the small talk with a couple of learners from the group and that divided our group in half. Half of the learners stayed passive simply talking on water, while the rest of the group still tried their best to catch waves and stay busy. We tried to ask for advice a couple of times but the coach stayed with the passive part of the group. One by one I saw students gradually losing interest and leaving water before clock. We were on our own and we could have just rented out gear and do what we did for much less money. I understand that some people lose interest in the process, but when the coach gives up in the middle of the class along with them - it’s a big disappointment for those who wanted to learn something. I give two stars because the staff was welcoming and the gear was good.

Had my first surf lesson today at Hart beach. Everything went smooth, nice staff and a great instructor. The man from Brazil(sorry forgot your name) is really passionate about his job. For him it might be an aversge day but for us he opened a door to a wonderful life called surfing. We learned so much in just one lesson. Feedback when needed, cheers when we had our succes moments and always alert. Could not ask for more, big recommendation to this gem of a surf school in Scheveningen. Everyone was stunned and super excited. Will definitely go trough with surfing. And I will always watch back to this day where passionate surfers share their true passion with new surfers. BIG THANKS!

I took a surfing lesson this week when I was visiting the Hague and it was an amazing experience! The staff at the surf school were so kind and helpful when it came to finding change rooms, wetsuits, etc, and my instructor (I believe her name was Beatrice) was encouraging, fun and awesome to work with! All the people in my group were commenting on how fun it was after the fact. Even though my lesson got canceled a few times due to lack of waves the staff were very accommodating and worked hard to give me alternate options. I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone in The Hague!!

If you're looking for an exhilarating water adventure, "Splash" is the perfect ride to experience! This attraction features boats that can accommodate up to twenty people as they navigate through a thrilling course, culminating in a massive splashdown. Guests have the choice between two types of boats: the traditional open boat and a covered option. The open boat tends to be more popular among kids eager for some splashing fun, while the covered boat offers a slightly longer wait but keeps you shielded from the biggest waves.
This ride offers the option of riding in the traditional style open boat or you can choose the covered boat. Which boat you choose determines the wait in the queue usually. Be aware no matter which boat you will get wet. If you want to feel the force of the water, the viewing platform offers the option to stand behind the barrier or if you're brave( or silly) you can brave the water head on. You will get WET
Christopher L — Google review
Great ride which gives you the choice of getting soaked on the open boats or staying dry on the closed ones. This is a great addition to the ride as you can still have a go without being soaked all day. There is also a bridge by the exit which if you stand on while the boat is coming down you will just get loads of water coming towards you and get even more soaked. You can also stand behind the glass if you don’t want to get wet.
Finn J — Google review
Kids just live getting wet. Choice of covered or open boats today. Kids always want the open ones. For those too young to ride the splash zones are good for soaking, but parents beware the water in front of the screens can be very powerful and may knock younger children over!
Dave F — Google review
I took the open boat without roof, only my hair and pants were wet. I enjoyed this.
Luc — Google review
I went in the closed top boat and the drop was extremely fast, though not long. It is great for those who enjoy being thrilled or those who want to get wet, in which case, the open top would be better.
Tyrell A — Google review
Amazing ride, cars are covered so you are shielded from the big splash but seats are wet so you will get wet pants! Great viewing platform!

Amusement park ride
Wild Wings at Duinrell amusement park is an exhilarating flying swing ride that promises a unique experience for every visitor. Suspended from a rotating arm, the seats soar through the air, allowing riders to take control of their adventure. Whether you prefer a serene flight with stunning views or an adrenaline-pumping spin, it's all in your hands as you maneuver the wings of your plane. The thrill intensifies as you attempt flips and spins, competing against daily and yearly scores displayed on a scoreboard nearby.
Love this ride. So unique that you are in control to define what the ride will be like. Are you going for a calm flight with some good views from above or are you going wild and spin non stop, it's up to you to decide and control. Simply use the wings of your airplane to control it. Once you reach the top, flap one wing up while steering the other down. Once you feel it catches the wind, turn both to their opposites and you will start spinning. Just keep your wings in the same position and it will start to continuously spin. Totally makes me sick but it's fun nonetheless. Access from 1,25 meter up to 1,95 meter in length.
Koen Z — Google review
A fun little ride and if you have an idea of how a plane flys you can make yourself spin upside down by moving the wings as the ride is in operation.
Christopher L — Google review
Without a doubt the best ride at Duinrell. It can be the dullest or most violent depending on whether you rock your wings at the right time to make it roll. There's a scoreboard on the exit ramp (look up and left) with a daily and yearly top score (55 was my winning score today with 89 the annual top). If you do get it to rock it can really hurt (bruising of shoulders likely) and you will lose anything that isn't attached. The fastest planes are on the outside (eg No 3 UK).
George W — Google review
My favourite attraction of Duinrell! Here you can go in a plane and try to make as many flips as you can and try to break the record. As a child it’s quite hard to make flips and you can get really dizzy here. Only bad thing was the long waiting time.
Luc — Google review
Unique ride. You can make the ride as rough as you wish. Use the wings to roll as much as you can. I definitely enjoyed the ride trying to beat the record.

Riders can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h, making it perfect for those seeking a quick adrenaline rush. While taller guests may find the seating slightly snug, the fun and excitement are undeniable.
Simple yet great quick ride. A good intial exhilaration and then good speed down the ramp. Can race another rider too. Was barely a few seconds queue on my visit.

If you don't have fear of drops, this is pretty good. Unfortunately I wasn't really that comfortable in the raft type thing due to my height which kinda ruined the ride for me and made it a bit scary. The Monorail is a delightful attraction reminiscent of experiences found in Dutch theme parks like Efteling. This unique ride allows guests to pedal around a scenic track that winds through a whimsical Wonderland, offering stunning views from above, especially over the children's play area. While it's designed for those 120cm and taller, younger kids may find it challenging to reach the pedals.
This is one of the smaller rides, but be aware you will need to put some effort in as you pedal yourself around the track. It offers a view of the park area whilst travelling along the rail.

Tiki Pool is a popular water park located in the Netherlands, known for its tropical-style swimming pool and 21 exciting slides. The park offers water with subtropical temperatures, reaching above 30°C, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. Families can also enjoy the special water park area called Playa designed for little children, where the water is not deeper than 15 centimeters. Visitors have praised the variety of slides available for both small children and thrill-seekers.
Family of 5, 3 children 8-15.. amazing.. lots of slides some pretty extreme.. spread out like maze so Q's form but managed about 8 slides in 2 hours..lockers don't need money but you need to remember number and pin.. indoor is better but only get 2 hours.. outdoor was nice on hot day but only few small slides
Carl V — Google review
I visited Tiki Bad Binnen and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The swimming area seemed to be mostly designed for children. The slides looked fun, but there were long waiting lines everywhere. It felt very crowded, and there was not much organization or supervision. This made the experience stressful instead of relaxing. The changing rooms were too small, with no proper locks on the doors and it wasn’t clear how the door system worked. It was very uncomfortable, especially for families or people needing privacy. The floors in the changing area were also quite dirty, which is not acceptable at all. Usually, for places that charge money for everything like entrance, parking, and more, you expect better service, more cleanliness, and a safer environment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve the experience for future guests. With better organization, maintenance, and customer care, this could become a much more enjoyable place for everyone.
Rojan S — Google review
Tikibad Duinrell is a fantastic water park! The wave machine and fast paced flumes deliver non stop thrills, while the lazy river offers a relaxing float. There’s so much to do!! keeping all ages entertained including my 5 year old. Open late, it gives plenty of time to enjoy every slide and pool. The on site food options are convenient and tasty, perfect for refueling. With a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff, Tikibad Duinrell is a must visit for a fun filled day props to the life guard (didn’t catch his name) for an excellent insight to some of the best slides.
Ben N — Google review
The inside waterpark is amazing. A large variety of slides with some of the most unique designs I have ever seen. Also some smaller rides for kids under 120cm and a kids area. My favourite slide was the cycloon although I would recommend putting your hands behind your head when going down as you can sometimes bang your head on the funnel part of the slide. The queues were also very small apart from on one of the days we went. Barely any queues for some massive slides. The height restrictions are a bit extreme with people having to be over 150cm to go on some of the more intense slides yet only 120cm to go on cycloon which is the fastest slide in the park and in my opinion the scariest. The sessions are 2 hours and if you are quick you can get on every slide in that time which is very good. Overall, I would say the waterpark is definitely worth a visit as it is one of the best I have ever been to and it has something for everyone.
Finn J — Google review
So much fun to be had and lots for all different ages. Some slides were super fast! There were not long queues apart from the Moonlight, Starlight and Triton but they were the most fun with double rings! Clean facilities and no charge for locker which is always nice. We had 2 tiki pool tickets during our 3 night stay at Duinrell.
Vicky S — Google review
We had a great time in the Tikibad. We had a 4 hour time slot which was enough time for us since we only used the indoor facilities. Plenty of slides and small pools to keep big and small kids entertained. I would recommend you bring your own hairdryer as they only have hand dryers instead. It was very odd standing under these trying to dry my hair. Some of the changing rooms didn't have enough lighting. I had to use my mobile phone to light the first cubicle I was in when getting changed. We did feel there were not enough life guards around but netheless all went well.
Meemee C — Google review
In the words of our kids "the best pool in the world". What I'm personally impressed with, is the design of the place. On a relatively small space, there are many slides and different attractions, which sometimes makes it chaotic but it's definitely fun and has a great deal to offer. We have been there several times and will definitely come back again. The outdoor attraction park is also fantastic!
Maja M — Google review
First of all, you can only buy tickets online. We had a 4 hour slot that was pretty good but they lack space in the wardrobe which causes chaos and massive lack of shower capacity, so most people don’t shower. The water feels dirty, rows before the slides are long and a lot of the tubes that are used in the slides and water rides are broken or missing. Impossible to get a sunbed of chair because they are taken by towels. If a car has one bad wheel it doesn’t drive comfortably.

Good food, good atmosphere and nice, quick and friendly staff. You don’t need more at the beach. Good menu with a diverse selection of food, with vegetarian options. Although all dishes were fairly good, I thought the vegetarian salad was a tad bit overpriced (€20,50)

Kyle L — Google review
Really disappointed by our experience today. We’ve been going to Bait for years and have been used to a diversified and very tasty menu. Sadly this year’s menu left much to be desired. Even the fried calamaris appetizers came across as dry. The beef burger was made of a processed patty: at €20, our expectations were high. The fish burger was made of three miserable looking fish nuggets placed between a bun. The service was friendly, to be fair, but the food is nothing close to what it used to be. We really felt unimpressed by this experience. We hope the new owners take note of this and make some changes.

If I could give negative stars, I would. We used to love this place, came here so often last summer and went back for the first time this summer and was so so disappointed.
